《Fluffy Tails and Horned Heads》 Chap. 1, A Nice Ol’ Chap I was a strange person. Most view themselves as being strange, but I was constantly pointed out as being very, very strange. Well, firstly, I was commonly considered an anti-vegan. Well, I did eat my greens, MOM, but still I always ended up eating the mean before the green stuff. And after. And in between. All right, I didn¡¯t eat that much greens, but... ok, I have no excuse. Anyhow, it started in the twenty-first of may. I was just out in the sun as usual, lying comfortably on a patch of grassy grass grass. I like grass, sure, but id never eat the stuff. I mean, why would you ever eat something GREEN? Man, what a strange thing to do. As I was lying there, absorbed in the thought of how human emotion works, I noticed something in the bright sky. Something seemed to be... falling? Well, there was a blob of smoke behind it, so it must have been like, an aircraft just flying by. Ooooooooor, it could be a spaceship from the Andromedra galaxy, about to crash headfirst into my physical manifestation of self??? ah, who knows. Might be anythin-, KALLESKAVIAR ¡ .. . All around me I could feel something, wether it was holding me or dropping me, I didn¡¯t know. Whatever was happening, I could no longer see, not that there was much to see earlier. My body was dragged, pulled, twisted, swung, but there was only a dull sense of... who knows? I had never felt such a feeling before. I can''t even describe it as anything other then ¡°different¡±. Suddenly, like a rush of emotions after viewing something terrific, my senses returned. In particular, my sense of hearing. My eyes could only perceive a dull grey and my sense of touch felt something... gooey... the smell and taste was... strangely familiar, yet still alien... like eating a food you had eaten as a child, only the cook was different. If I tried to move, I could. Well, it was hard, but I could. It was like moving through a vat of slime, kind of like in the Matrix, but I don''t think I had any cabled plugged in me... I think... If I moved enough and straightened my body to its outmost limit, I could feel something. It was like a wall, but when touched... it felt strained, yet it gave in if I pushed on it. Like a wall of... flesh... after a few minutes of exploring, my ears picked up something. ¡°du-dun¡± ¡°du-dun¡± ¡°du-dun¡± a really quick, fast beat. It sounded kind of like... a... heart?... I didn''t have time to truly understand that thought before I felt the whole place shake and move. The enclosure had tightened to me barely able to move. I felt something push on my head and upper body as my legs seemed to... rip through... the wall... oh... oh geez... as my legs pushed though, I could see light, as well as something else. The cold air harshly beat against my goo-drenched legs, making the hair on my body stand on its ends. The rest of my body kept exiting as the cold became nearly unbearable. Soon enough, my whole body had exited. I tried to move, but my body felt so heavy... using the strength of Will alone, I turned my gaze towards whatever I was in, only to see... a rabbit. A grey rabbit, its legs spread wide apart as a bunch''a goo dribbled out from between them. Everything was grey. The ground, the sky, the sun, grey grey grey. Holly shiet Chap. 2, Another Swell Chap Enters I, I just... what... the grey rabbit lying before me gave a few whimpers, which I heard far too well, before it started thrashing about, squealing loudly as nearly black goo was spraying out of it in waves. I was stunned. Completely stunned. No, in fact, I was in a state of shock. I didn¡¯t have the desire nor capacity to run, hide or even ponder my situation. After a few more spasms, the rabbit lay still, a pool of the black goo forming beneath it. It wasn¡¯t until I hear thumps that I came to my senses. I didn¡¯t know how long time had gone by, but enough for a predator to come looking for the prey. I knew I had to get away, I knew if I stalled there would be no escape. I turned from the corpse, but I couldn¡¯t stand. no matter how I tried, my legs were too short. I had to get away. I crawled, crawled and crawled on my four legs until I reached a place of hiding. A bush. I dived in just in time to see a large... something, closing in on the rabbit. I would usually consider it a wolf, but.. it had a pair of arms stationed on top of its head, the ears placed just behind them. The slender arms reached out, holding the small, vounerable rabbit in its large hands. The rabbit started thrashing about as the wolf bit down on its neck, sending it into a frightened frenzy. It was useless, however. The fangs bit down once more. No longer where the thrashes out of fear. They were simply the nerves reacting to the fangs. I couldn¡¯t bear to watch. I wanted to pull away my eyes, I always had. But it was just something you couldn¡¯t stop looking at. The wolf bit off the head, chewing on the body like it was a mere snack. I finally turned around, leaving. I tried walking, but once again, I found it to be impossible. My feet felt... wrong. Like they were not made for walking. I brought my hand to my face, examining it closely. It was grey, the goo was still staining it, but most of all, it was not a hand. It was more akin to a paw, with small bean-like things one could easily confuse for a tick (don¡¯t ask). I tried moving my hand to my face since the beans were one of the only things I had a sense of touch with.Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there. My hand could only barely touch my face, but when I did, my heart sank. Soft, like clouds, fluffy like a kittens aB, it was... my heart sank. It couldn¡¯t be. I sat up as good as I could so that I could see my feet, and sure as hill, it was a paw. Like that of a rabbit. I was still completely covered in goo. I didn¡¯t even need to think it. I didn¡¯t even need to state it in my mind. I didn¡¯t even have to cry. All signs of sorrow my body made were things I couldn¡¯t even see. I hadn¡¯t realized it while it was happening, but my ears were drooping and my nose was moving at very, very fast speeds. And so, I ran. I ran and ran and ran. The wolf had known I was there. Of course, it did. Its sense of smell was far more then I could ever conceive. It knew I was there, yet it still let me go. O geez o geez o geez I tumbled many times, this body was strange, I fell, I tripped, and eventually, I reached a clearing where I sat down and let my tired body rest. Geezus, what is this, the first season finale of Riget?... I was tired, and even though I understood my situation and what I had witnessed, I didn¡¯t feel particularly shaken or traumatized by the event, the most unnerving thing I s''pose what the fact that that wolf had an alarming amount of arms. I conclude that what must have happened was... well, Brah did mention my soul was a stray of sorts, and that... he wouldn¡¯t allow me to possess something in real life, but... what is this place? It can''t be home, since, well... "armed" wolf. I can''t even tell the colour of my fur since everything is grey... hrm... well, onto the more... unpleasant thoughts. We¡¯ve concluded that, undoubtedly, this place is not earth. But, that does not change my current situation. I am a rabbit. I was born, and the rabbit that gave birth to me was killed in labor. Then, a wolf was attracted by the smell and ate her. It let me escape, and here I am. My sense of touch, sight and possibly smell and taste have all been weakened, but in exchange, I am all-hearing. The rustle of the leaves, a single bug stepping on some twigs, a predator stalking a prey, a bird twee-, wait what preda ¡°hiss.¡± right behind me, somehow unnoticed by my sight, smell, tou-, you get it, was a large snake. At least three meters in length, it easily towered before my tiny form. I''m rather sure it must have been green since its shade of grey blended right into the grassy grass grass. ¡°groaan¡± my stomach growled and I lunged into a nearby bush. I hadn¡¯t quite gotten to test it, but I had to try. I dropped to crawling, but my toes were instead firmly planted on the ground together with my front legs. I pushed away with my feet, lunging myself with rather quick speeds further into the grey forest. However, as I was coming down, I kind of missed. ¡°thumpa-lumpa-lump¡± I tumbled and rolled right into a tree. My head hurt and I tried to get up, only to fall once more, tumbling as I do. My head was spinning and so was I. My stomach was making some agonized groans, but right now I had to escape from the snake that may or may not be following me. Eventually, I once again collapsed. My strategy of jumping and tumbling down had paid off. I found a hole. It might not seem like too great of a reward, but after cautiously pushing rocks of various sizes down the hole, I concluded it was empty. With a slight sigh I climbed down into the dark abyss. I could see rather well, but when I got too deep it became harder, so I decided to simply stay near the ground. I explored the small labyrinth a bit before finding a small, cozy cave to sleep in. my stomach kept growling, but I simply fell asleep, where I dreamt of eating lots and lots of meat. Z. Chap. 3, Dandy Chaps are just Commonplace around here, Right? I jumped awake, hitting my head on the ground-cealing. After silently grumbling a bit, I realized why I jolted awake. ¡°grr.¡± just outside the small hole, I was in, I heard it. The scuffling of dirt, the low growl of both my stomach and something else as well as something pacing about above me. I got to my feet, my ears standing high enough for me to feel them scratch the dirt above me. At every step of whatever was above me, small pieces of dirt fell. I had to get out. Fast. I tried tiptoeing, but, well... it''s kind of hard since every time I walked outside I jumped, tumbled and kind of... yeah. Using the best of my abilities, I successfully walked slowly but quietly to the entrance of the hole I was in. I hadn''t noticed it before since I was covered in goo, which must have fallen off of me in my slumber, but my sense of smell was far better than I had realized, not that that made me quite happy though. What I smelled was... well, it smelled bad. Like a bunch''o dogs that hadn''t washed ever huddled themselves together in a hole and just kind of lived there. Which is exactly what it was. When I looked out, what I first noticed was... orange fluff. Very fluffy. So fluffy, I felt like I just had to touch it. But I knew what it was. It was not for touching. It was for lying down and avoiding (haha get it). The fox before me was not turned towards me, and instead of looking down a hole that I was not in. I knew what I could do, heck, I could probably actually DO it, but... could I? Naaaaah. Well, I mean... if I turn around and try to run... it knows it body far better than I do, id have no chance in heck! So, I''m doing it, right? I''m really doing it?? oh geez oh gosh I quietly exited the hole I was in, making sure not to alert the very alert fox. I swung my tiny arms backward, making sure I could lean on them. I lifted my feet into the air, making myself ready. My rump to the ground, my feet positioned right at the Fox''s behind, my front paws firmly on the ground, I pushed. With a hard kick with my small legs, the fox went tumbling down the hole, who knows for how long. I quickly turned around, and instead of jumping long, falling hard, repeat, I tried running like an actual rabbit. The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. I hadn¡¯t seen to many rabbits running, but I tried my best. My legs extended in front of me, and I tried to drag myself so hard I was kind of thrown, and it worked! Kinda... I face-planted the ground. But it was rather far from where I was at the start, so... success! I tried it again, trying to keep my feet on the ground until they got all the way back which kind of work? I face-planted again, but it''s not like I''m running away from anything, haha!... repeat repeat repeat until you get it right is my motto! Ah! I see the light!... I quickly jumped out and into the grey reality that was the forest. Whoa, m-, my legs are pretty strong, right? Isn''t this a bit too hig-, A right beneath me, or rather a bit in front of me but I was still higher up than it, was the armed wolf again. Did it follow my scent?... ah, this is no time to be thinking such thoughts! Im pretty sure I did a front-flip in the air, but that was no matter. I somehow positioned my feet to the ground, and just as I came close to the surprised face of the wolf-, ¡°BOOFAH¡± it fell to the ground, my jumping even higher until I fell behind it, repeating the jumping style I used before until I got to some sort of shelter beneath a tree. ¡°groaaaaaannnnnn...!¡± my stomach groaned again, as usual, bringing great pains. I was hungry, but what do I eat? I''ve got no foo-, you''ve got to be kidding me, no! My attention was turned to the grassy grass grass beneath me, which was... well, grey. As always. Unappetizing, boring, grey grey. Why would I ever eat grassy grass grass?? I know my body may be of a friggin'' rabbit, but I would rather eat meat! I know a rabbits body would most likely reject the meat, but I''m fine with that! Bro... ye ¡ were you here this whole time? nah brah ¡ so, uh, can I eat meat? well, if ya wanna, ya could hmm, I dunno bro... your choice brah but, bro, aren''t you omniscient? whaa, dude, didn''t I tell ya? I''m not omni-anything, brah then how-, ssshhh, shhh, brah, chill, chill, I''ve got ma eye on ya, in case it ever gets a bit too hard, brah ¡ don''t worry, brah, I''m on yer side thanks, bro, ill be countin'' on ya no prob, brah and with that, I felt a presence leave. Well, it wasn¡¯t really by touch or smell, it was more like something that had been sitting in front of me suddenly left. I hadn¡¯t seen anyone though. Ah, no problem, It seems like bro has no intention of letting me die. hm. Question is, how did I summon him? I mean, I just thought ¡°bro¡± and he appeared. Could it be some sort of selective telepathy? Who knows. But it seems he''s no... god... well, he might be. I dunno, he dunno, no dunno. Anyhow, as I learned by being in that little hole, I''m no longer gooey and my sense of smell is amazing. How amazing? Eh, not as amazing as my sense of hearing, but still really good. Not as good as Jean-Baptiste, but, still pretty good! If I try to focus my sense of hearing and smell on my surroundings, I can interpret a whole new world... the rustle of the leaves, the smell of newly-marked territory, a few deers grazing nearby, a calm river, the soft grassy grass grass beneath my feet, wait, river? I quickly hopped over, still in my jump, face-plant, repeat way, until I found the source of the sound. A calm river was gently flowing, gentle enough for a deer to easily drink the clear water. Only now did I think of how thirsty I was, so I lunged my head into the water and sucked it all into me. When I was done I raised my hea and stared intently into the river. I saw a rabbit, grey as always, but something bothered me. On the top of its head, two small spikes protruded. One could barely make them out, but those were surely horns or something like that. Was I... A Jackalope?... Chap. 4, The More the Merrier, i Spose I stumbled backwards a bit before falling completely on my back, breathing deep breaths. I pressed my head between my legs and shot my arms up to my head, and sure as heck, there they were. A pair of small horns. Like the skull had started poking out of the head, they were firm and strong. They were very small, but they were there. Not enough to headbutt someone into submission, but it was horns nonetheless. I got up in a sitting position again, trying to understand my situation. So, I must be a... Jackalope... well, I mean, there''s that whole armed wolf deal, but I didn''t see anything strange about the fox? Well, then again, I only saw its behind... but that rabbit didn''t have any horns, right? so... am I a mutation? Did Bro help me? No, he doesn''t seem like the kind of guy who would just grant me powers like that... hrm. What a strange situation I''ve found myself in- ¡°groaaaaaaaaaannnnnnn...!!¡± I immediately stopped my train of thought, curling up in a ball on the ground. Fetus position, of course. I had no choice. I looked at the grey grassy grass grass in front of me, extending my tongue. The sharp strands of grassy grass grass were not in the mood to be eaten, but I had to. They did not smell appetizing, nor did they look appetizing. I curled my small tongue around a small tuft of grassy grass grass, trying to pull it towards my open mouth. It did not work with me, however, and it remained seated firmly on the ground. I adjusted my body a bit, moving closer to the grassy grass grass rather than moving it to me. My mouth descended upon the tuft, but just as I was going to bite down on it, but just as my mouth was right in the position, it tickled the back of my throat, and just like that, I was rolling beside it in a fit of agony and pain, trying desperately not to puke up whatever was in my stomach. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. In this fit of agony/pain/tickle/rage, I somehow bit down on the grassy grass grass, chewing it to bits in the process. I almost puked it out. Gosh it was gross... however, my stomach was not satisfied and was still churning and groaning. I got to my feet and stumbled about. Everywhere I fell I would eat the grass around me, resulting in a bunch''o dots of bare ground behind me. After a few minutes of this, my stomach gurgled as if saying ¡°eh, I guess this will do¡±. I finally got to my feet. S''pose this is a good a time as any to train my walking and running... ah, you must be wondering how I sit? Hu hu hu, this is one thing I know... both feet planted on the ground, knees bent, like a true slav. (http://slavsquat.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/68.jpg like these two fine gentlemen) arms on my belly, body leaned up. Yup, the true way of sitting. Sitting like that, I get ready to move. First, just some slow walking, alright? I put my hands on the ground and my legs to my sides. Legs go beyond my arms, I push the legs back but not hard enough to send me flying. Next, put the hands in front. Legs at the back go to the front and push me away again. Lo and behold, I can now walk! Using this simple walking pattern, I soon got the hang of it. Surprisingly, if I just did this faster, I was running! Hehehe, sometimes I get afraid of myself... like this, I ran around in the clearing beside the river until I got the hang of it. Must''ve rolled into the river at least a hundred timed, geez... before leaving the river, however, I decided to take a little bath. I mean, who knows what could have gotten stuck in my fur while I was jumping about?... and so, I went into the river, and as expected, I did not get carried away. It was actually very calm and shallow, so I easily held onto a rock at the bottom. Heck, I didn''t even have to move, the stream just washed me all over without the need for scrubbing, not that I could scrub myself for that matter... I hop out of the water, a new ma, ehem, rabbi-, ehem, Jackalope! Whatever this world has in hold for me, I''m ready! And with that, I jumped into the dark forest head-first, ready fo-, is that leaf floating holly heck that leaf is floating as I thought that, the floating leaf came closer to me, until it was right above my head. I didn¡¯t see it, but my ears totally twitched. It just kinda... hovered there, for a while as I tried to comprehend the situation. When I tried walking, it moved along with me. When I ran, it kept floating above me. Wwwwwhat is this even am I... controlling it? As I thought that, the leaf seemed to move a bit, possibly according to my wishes. In order to test this, I focused a hecka lot, my very being commanding the leaf to fly into a tree like a friggin'' sharingan or whatever. And behold, it did! Kinda... more like, awkwardly-floated-over-to-the-tree-and-as-it-touched-it-fluttered-down-to-the-ground. Welp. That was anti-climactic. But, as it would seem, I do have some sort of magical power. I mean, I suppose it was always in the back of my head that a Jackalope should have some sort of power, but... isn¡¯t it too weak? Chap. 5, More Chaps, More! With a hop and a run, I rolled out of the forest and onto a grass grass grassy hill. The plain seemed to go on forever, but it was very hilly. Meaning, it was filled with hills. One would be an idiot to let this go to waste. I laid down on the top of a hill, and let go. She had no fear in her eyes, however, which was a relief. ¡°n?men... siken liden liden sak du va d?, va g?r du nu h?r d??...¡± she said, a smile running across her face. I didn¡¯t understand the words, however, I could kind of... understand... what she said. Well, not like I could translate it, but...A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. it was probably something along the lines of ¡°a rabbit? Out here? Oh my!...¡± or something, I dunno. I got to my feet and stared her down. She looked at me in a state of confusion, most likely. She looked rather young and was dressed in a grey-slightly-draker-greyish simple dress. Her eyes were a clear grey with hints of a clearer grey, while her hair was a rather dark, near black grey. ¡°hmm, f?rlorade du din mor? Stackars liden...¡± she seemed to mumble the last part, although, to be honest, I have no idea what the heck she''s saying. She sat up, her powerful eyes resting gently on me. She extended her slender arm over to me. It seems I was in a state of shock or something since she easily picked me up. What a strange sensation... I hadn''t really gotten too strong of an idea of my size before this, but it would seem I was rather small, small enough to be easily picked up by a young girl using only one hand. She easily sat me down on her lap, where I happily huddled down. What, it was really cozy! ¡°haha, siken gullig liden krabat...¡± and with that, she stroked my head. Or rather, she stroked from ny nose, over my ears, down my spine and out. And then she stroked again. It was rather calming, actually... I think I might just... Zzzzz... ¡°stackarn, du m?ste ha varit s? r?dd...¡± she said as I drifted off to sleep. ¡ .. . DROM ah, uh, oh. I fell asleep... ¡ where am I?... as it would seem, I was in a room. The room was decorated sparsely, with merely a bed and a small table beside it. Really, there were many beds as well as a bunch of bedpans hidden under them, but I didn''t really notice them. The room was rather large, large enough to be called the main room of a rather large family. That makes no sense, does it?... well, it was large. There were a few people in the beds, seemingly asleep. A few had bandages and a few had missing limbs. Quite grotesque if you ask me. I tried inspecting my place in this room, which I found to be on a pillow, on a table cloth, on a small table. The pillow was rather uncomfortable, but well, a pillow is a pillow. Just as I was examining the room, wondering how I got there and its purpose, a previously unnoticed door swung open. The answer to most of my questions were quickly answered. A man dressed in a rather dark grey baggy shirt, wearing a pair glasses and a white cloth on his head stepped inside, the girl I met earlier following right behind. ¡°?h? ?r detta den ¡°sovande¡± mystiska kaninen du fann?¡± the man said upon returning my gaze. He quickly walked up to me. I dunno why, but I could sense sarcasm in his voice... strange... the girl quickly answered whatever he said with a: ¡°tja, den sov som en stock n?r ja la den h?r, m?ste ha vaknat nyligen.¡± the man scoffed and walked up beside me, the girl was on the other side of the table I was on, facing him. The man extended his arm, which I would have avoided, but I was still quite tired, so I had no energy. ¡°som du sa, kelen som en katt. Eller bara v?ldigt tr?tt. H?h.¡± he said, turning his gaze to the girl before stroking me quite quickly. It wasn¡¯t as soft or heartfelt as what the girl had done, but it was most likely meant to soothe my nerves. ¡°hm?¡± once he had stroked me a bit, he held his hand to my head, probing for something. This would be where I did a Kumoko and said ¡°but I learned a while ago how to hide my horns in my head, kukuku...!¡±, but such luck is not something I have. He seemed to have found what he was searching for, as he exclaimed: ¡°s? du talar sanning ?nd?. Aja, nu ska vi se...¡± he said and continued probing, although now he was just twiddling my horns. Hey! I may be a Jackalope of sorts, but those are mine! Get yer own! He shrugged his head and stopped probing my head, returning to the stroking routine. ¡°men, kommer han inte...¡± the man cut her off mid-sentence. ¡°jo, s?klart, s? g?r det f?r dom. Finns inget vi kan g?ra ?t det, bara l?t naturen ha sin g?ng.¡± her eyes seemed to gather water, but she didn¡¯t allow it to be released, and instead turned to me. She picked me up quickly, exited the building, and released me. Chap. 6, G’day, Chap ¡ the heck just happened?... I have no idea what they said and then she just plopped me right down on this hill again... well, now that I''m out here, I can kind of see this here village. Kinda weird place to put a village, but I s''pose the dirt is rich or something? ¡ what to do, what to do... I could enter the village again, but... that man in there, if I''m not imagining things, I think he said Jackalope... so, it''s an established mythological being in this world that I now inhabit... as such, she threw me out, meaning... they don¡¯t want me? Hrm. I mean, is it really that big of a dea-, ¡°Groan.¡± ¡ hungry... well, well, well. Look who I''m standing on. I evilly licked my lips and munched down on the disgusting greenery. Ugh, gross... hmm, is this truly the solution, however?... Bro didn¡¯t outright state I couldn¡¯t eat meat, so... ¡ why hello there, village. Hehehehehehehehehe I easily hopped over to the nearest building, which was rather large, mind you. Well, it''s not as much of a building as it seemed to be a barn or something. It was a long, dark-red cuboid made of wood with a roof of hay or something. I hopped closer until I was close enough to one of the few windows to peer inside. I could see a young girl only a few years of age sitting on a small stool, embroiling on a white cloth. I couldn¡¯t quite see exactly what it was, but she seemed to use a slightly whiter thread to do it. The stool she was seated on was located rather close to a fire, which was at one of the two ends of the cuboid. Ah, right, the entire ¡°house¡± was really just a very large room. It seemed to be split in half, with one having a rather large table, chairs and a few strange double beds merged with the wall. Strange...This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. on the other side of the house/room, there was a rather large bed of hey, it seems, with some more tool-y stuff. by the fire, which was on the more rich part of the house, stood an elder woman with a large cauldron, which she stirred in quite often. Using my enchanted sense of smell, I could pick up the rich scent of... well, stew. What did you expect, hot dogs? Anyhow, it smelled pretty darn good. My mouth imminently started salivating, which I could only take as a ¡°go for it!¡± from my starving body. I hadn''t exercised it too much, but I knew I had some form of telekinesis. It was time...! I moved my stubby arms to the sides of my head, concentrating hard, imagining a single piece of meat to lift from the stew and come here... hrmmmmmnnnnNNNNNBGGGHHHHHHHHH-HWAAAAAA with a shout like that, how could it NOT obey me? A single piece of... something... lifted from the stew to the older lady¡¯s great surprise. It floated gently and slowly over to where I was, who was totally not preoccupied with making ¡°HOCCHAHAPOWWWWWWEEEEEEOUNIIIMMEEEE¡± noises in my head. Nope. It floated gently until I noticed it was right in front of me. On the other side of the window. ¡°bop¡± ¡°lugga lugga lugga...¡± ¡°SPLAT¡± ¡ it just... did I learn nothing from the leaf?... ¡ apparently not... the lady walked slowly over to the window. Well, if I had been looking and not doing telepathic noises, id have noticed she was slowly following right behind the piece of... stew. ¡°...¡± I could almost hear the silence... soon enough, she turned around and went back to the stew, not having a single thing to say. The young girl looked up at her. ¡°Mormor, va va de d??...¡± the lady looked at the girl and sighed, saying: ¡°det m?ste ha varigt hustomtarna som ville ha en matbit.¡± the girl shone up in surprise and wonder. ¡°verkligen!?¡± the lady smiled slightly. ¡°ja, och nu m?ste vi s?tta ut litte mat till dom. Vi vill inte uppleva hustomtens vrede.¡± the lady took a wooden bowl from a simple shelf, which she brought back to the cauldron with her. She quickly poured a small portion into the bowl, and paced over the room, past the girl which was now standing in anticipation, and over to the door. The girl was on her heels, a bright smile filling her face as they exited the house. I quickly ran over to where they went but kept my distance. The lady gave the bowl to the little girl, who nervously sat it down beside the entrance, spilling a little. The lady smiled and said: ¡°nu f?r vi g? in igen och l?ta Hustomten ?ta, man vill inte st?ra.¡± and with that, they both returned inside, leaving the bowl outside. I wonder what they said... I spent no time idling, however, and immediately approached the bowl. Hm? why didn¡¯t I just use telekinesis to float it to a hiding place? HAHAHA NOPE my telekinesis ain¡¯t THAT strong! The best I can do right now is lift a piece of something and float it across the room! And even then, it loses the effect when it touches something! I sniffed the stew, hoping it to smell... appetizing-er than grassy grass grass. Hey, It does! I stuck my tongue out and let it brush over the admittedly small amount of stew. Mmmm. Thicc... well, it was thicc, kind of like someone had taken water, boiled it, plopped in animal skin and bones to give it taste and consistency, plopped in some low-grade meat and some easily found veggies like onions and stuff. Which is exactly what it was. I slurped it a little. Not delicious, but far taster then grassy grass grass... I slurped even more until I found a piece of... something. Well, it was a rather asymmetric piece of meat. I think. I sniffed it suspiciously. Yup. Smells like meat. Lick lick. Tastes like meat. Nom. Tastes like meat. Hm? you think I have more meat? Nope, that was it. I ate it in a single nom, and now I can''t find any more pieces of meat. I found veggies, but bleh. No thank you. Slurp slurp slurp... nom nom nom... mm... my regards to the cook, this is pretty darn tasty. And with that, I left the house and went over to the plain where I was to try a new something. Make a house. Chap. 7, the Seven Dandy Chaps ¡ and how the heck do I make a house... this place is a plain, I am a rabbit, I should dig a burrow. Like rabbits do. ¡ I don¡¯t wanna live in a hole though... ¡ I didn¡¯t know what to do so I just rolled over. Sadly, I tend to forget such trivial matters such as ¡°I am on the ¡±endless hill¡±, so don¡¯t roll. Ever.¡±, and as such, I started rollingrollingrollingrollingrollingroll-, you get it. Eventually, I bumped into something. Oh, oh thank gosh... I turned my attention to whatever stopped me. ¡ where... what... who?... Before me stood a perfectly fine cone shaped hut. Yes, a hut. Not a tiny hut either, but not the kind of large something the other house was, no, this was just... a hut. It was grey, as one could expect, but it had... qualities. If I looked at it too long, it reminded me of a Witch''s Hut or something. Strange. Very strange... I hopped on over to it, peering in through one of the many windows, only to see... well, there was almost no furniture, as if someone was to move in/nobody lived there. On a wall, however, there was a small deer skull, hanging on a plaque, like a trophy. It was quite small, bright white and its antlers were tiny. Like, really tiny. Like two veeeeery small horns poking out. At first, I didn¡¯t even realize it had horns! Hrm. I suppose it''s time. Ah, there was nothing else of interest. It was very barren...Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. anyhow, I went around the house, searching for the entrance. ¡ well, I found a door. And a hatch. Most likely for rabbits. ¡ d-, did Bro make this for me? ¡ I see no other possibility... well, better not just let this sit, then! I happily entered the small hatch, emerging into the delightfully dark house. Well, it was rather small. But now, I could see better! There were quite a few windows and the entire thing was... well, a single room. Kinda. It was shaped like a cone. Kinda. It had a bed. Kinda. It had a kitchen. Kind-, argh, you get it! The whole place was barren but cozy. There was furniture, and although it was simple and not very... fancy, it was a home. At the kitchen, there was a rather large cauldron with a high stool placed beside it. If I really tried, I''m sure I could jump up there... ¡ HUPP and with that, I got up on the stool. Well, I was wobbling like an anorexic model wearing 3 decimetre high heels in a light breeze, but I was up! The cauldron was rather big, as I had foreseen. With the higher vantage point, I could now see that there were, in fact, a whole bunch''a shelves all around. The place where I was, the ¡°kitchen¡±, was like a room of sorts. Most of the stuff was at the bottom of this cone-like structure, but this kitchen was like a little room to the side, just a lil'' but higher up. Rather nice, actually. I''d make dinner, but then I would need two things. Well, three. No, five... ¡ ok, I dunno how many things it would take, but id need like, ingredients, fire, and better telekinesis. Right now I can barely make a piece of something float! Hrm. I guess id better practice that, then. I turned my gaze to the bed. Well, I say bed, but it was more like a large pile of hay. Guess id better ¡°clean it up¡±... hu hu hu... I focused all my ¡°kinetic power¡± on the pile of hay, attempting to make at least some of it float. Hrnnnngggggggggg... hm? telekinesis sound effects? Dude. I learned from the something in the stew. With my eyes focused deeply on the hay, paws on my head, it rose. A few strands of hay rose from the other stuff, floating in mid-air. Goal of the day, keep the hay floating. Result of the experiment, hay was flying for about a minute or two before falling. Synopsis of the experiment, No Improvement. Goshdarnit. Panting I plopped myself down on the bed of hay, staring up at the ceiling. Hm? I hadn¡¯t noticed it before, but a moon was hanging from the ceiling. Well, since this place is built like a cone, it was at the top of it all, most likely shining very slightly, since the grey seemed brighter around it. The moon itself was a crescent. Well, I''m hesitant to call it even that, it was a very, very thin sliver of a new moon. Strange. This place is very strange. Very... hrm. I''m tired... oh, so very... tired... snrf... ¡ .. . ¡°yawn¡± uuuuuu, nice nap... wait, do rabbits yawn? Like, make the noise and all? Im not too familiar with rabbits, but I''m pretty sure they don¡¯t yawn. (hey, don¡¯t blame me, I know jack shit about rabbits) you were the one who yawned, brah I guess so. Wait, wha- (memory erase, biach) mrmm, good morning, good morning. It is morning, right? Well, this hay bed is far more comfortable than it looks like. I think I got comfortably num-, (nonono don¡¯t you dare) ¡ hrm, it feels like portions of my memory is missing, what was I talking about? Anyways, it must be day, since the light was shining so brilliantly from the hole in the roof. ¡ that''s going to be a huge pain in the arse when it rains, isn''t it? Aaaahhh, anyways, let''s leave this hut. How will I come back to it? Who knows!? If it comes down to it ill just contact Bro, he should know something about this place. I hopped out of bed, stretched a little and exited the hut. Grey grey grey. Times like these I wish I had color-vision. Wonder if Bro could help me with that... ah, I shouldn¡¯t rely so much on Bro, he''s got a life to deal with too. Anyhow, what to do no-, ¡°sniff¡± ¡°sniff sniff¡± is that... Whiskey?... Chap. 8, Don’t Drink, its Bad for You I raised my head in the air, breathing in countless mouthfuls of air. Yup. That whiskey. Hm? wait, why is that such a big deal? I wasn¡¯t a drunk or anything when I was human, I mean... ¡°sniff sniff¡± aaaaahhh, that smells good... I hopped slowly towards the source at first, but soon I broke into a full on sprint. After mere minutes I was there. The village. Who knows what its called, its just ¡°village¡± at the moment. I sat up, my ears sticking up like an antenna, nose sniffing continuously. There. A wooden horse carriage stood there. I hadn¡¯t noticed the whole structure of the village before, but it seemed to be a lot of houses, most red, surrounded by either crops or pasture. Bunch''a cows were grazing absentmindedly, but that didn¡¯t matter too much. Though the village was mostly houses and crops, there was a single large road. It wasn''t a highway or anything, but in the context of this village, it was most likely a highway. Ah, anyhow, on this highway, the horse-drawn carriage stood still, a rather large but well-dressed man was talking to a bunch''o villagers right beside the carriage. ¡°Jad?, Jad?, jag har det. En hel bunt whisky, redo att k?pas. Hur mycket? Tja, bror p? hur mycket du vill k?pa. Tio n?var havre f?r en, men bara arton f?r tv?. K?p nu eller k?p aldrig.¡± he said, in a rather monotone, ¡°done this, done that¡± kind of way. But who cares about that, he has Whiskey! One of those weird words he said sounded kinda Whiskey, but more like... Viski or something... but whatever! I hopped a bit closer, the sweet scent filling my small but sensitive nostrils. Hnnng... what is this? Why is this? I''ve never had this kind of reaction to Whiskey, no, any alcohol, ever! I tried to resist the urge, but as soon as I got close enough, which was about ten or twenty meters away from the carriage, I focused. Differently to the other times, however, I didn¡¯t put my paws on my head. I do learn by mistakes. HNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGZZZSSSTTTTTTT I tried my very best to lift one of the Whiskey bottles, but nothing happened. Do I really have to have my hands on my head? But... that so... cheesy... I don¡¯t know how, but the large man must have sensed my intent or something, as he turned to my location with a surprised yet still very rugged expression. Our eyes met.If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Uh, uh, sorry for... trying to take your liqueur, I just... I put my paws in the air, shaking my head left to right. The other villagers who had been standing around him also turned to me. Huuuu, this is... I may be a tiny rabbit, but... I''m still a Jackalope, all right??? the man seemed to understand something, saying, ¡°se p? fanken...¡± before turning to his carriage, grabbing one of the many Whiskey flasks. Oh! are you?? I didn¡¯t see it, but my tail wagged slightly as my ears stood high in the sky. He pointed to the bottle, then to me, as if saying ¡°you want this?¡± I nodded ferociously. YES. He looked to the bottle, then to me, and shrugged before pointing to the bottle and then to the villagers. Grrr. No, I want it! I was kinda frozen for a while, before taking a single step forwards. He stepped back a little, before holding his hands up in an ¡°I surrender...¡± kind of jest, before throwing the bottle over to me. Wha-, you just, argh! HNNNNNZZZGGGGGGGGGG I somehow forced a bunch of loose grassy grass grass to form a basket of sorts, which caught the Whiskey with somewhat ease. Yessss, Whiskey, secure-, why did I want this again? Argh, no time, gotta escape the scene! I quickly turned around, the basket of grassy grass grass and Whiskey floating above my head, and ran. Hehehehehe ¡ did my head become heavier?... ¡ what do I even do with this. I''d love to get to the Hut, but, well... ¡ when in doubt, roll! I laid down. Unsurprisingly, rollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollrollro-, ¡°BOOF¡± HU I got up, just in time to notice, hey! It''s the... hut? How did it get here, wasn¡¯t that... ¡ does it appear wherever I roll?... ¡ w-, who knows, whatever it is, I shall store this Whiskey in it! I quickly hopped inside through the hatch and placed both the Whiskey and the grassy grass grass on the shelf. Well, would be a waste not to use it! Hm? wait, that ride took longer than a minute or two, how did I, argh, doesn¡¯t matter! Hmm... wait a sec... I tried focusing on the Whiskey bottle, without using the grassy grass grass, and as expected, it lifted easily! So, in conclusion... I can use telekinesis on it, but only now that it''s mine? Weird... well, whatever! This is good news! With force of telekinesis, without using any telekinetic gestures or sounds, I successfully made just a little droplet of Whiskey escape the bottle. The droplet floated gently towards my face, where I opened my small mouth, letting it float inside before closing both my mouth and the telekinesis I used on it. PFF I quickly spit it out. Geezus that was disgusting! I''m not gonna throw it out or anything, but gosh! I am not opening you again! I''d gives it back to the large dude, but that''s a waste of goodwill. Hrm. Hrm? I hopped out of the kitchen area and into the larger room. ¡ did the... horn on the trophy grow?... it wasn¡¯t a significant amount, but I could swear the horns of that deer had grown by at least a few centimeters... now that I think about it, wasn''t it surprisingly easy to lift the Whiskey before? ¡ let''s try the hay again. ¡ results, a clear improvement. Well, it was only by a few more strands, but the speed at which they could move was definitely improved! I couldn¡¯t swoosh them around fast enough to stab a dude, yet, but they moved rather fast. About the speed of... well, a fly? No, too fast... a butterfly? Closer, but... yeah. A bit slower than a butterfly. Why did it improve though? I mean... is it thanks to my training? No, that was too strong of a sprout to happen overnight like that... hmm, was it the Whiskey? No, it tasted horrible! Plus, the improvement happens before I drank it, but... was it the stealing itself that did it? ¡ possibly, but I mean... id rather not steal any more Whiskey, I mean, it was disgusting! Tasted like pure Ethanol, 2/9, would try again with no expectations. But if it was so gross, then why did it smell so delicious? How strange... anyhow, speaking of telekinesis, that bed looks pretty soft... muhuhu... with a single, powerful hop I fell into the soft bed, immidetly falling into a deep slumber as well. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ... ZZZZZZ... Zzzz... z... ¡ .. . Men ingen varar f?r evigt. F?rgglad men ocks? gr?. Allt men ocks? inget. D?r. Kaninen. Det var n?got med den. Dess djupa, svarta ?gon stirrade in i mina. In i min sj?l. Ytterst sm? men ?nd? horn. Chap. 9, Bean Bending - a New Element to Master ¡ .. . as I have for a few days now, I woke up with a BOOFAHBRASSA?TINTEMINGURKA the whole hut shook violently as something hit it at frightening speeds. In a fit of pure fright, I somehow made a bunch of hay float and cover me. However, my body decided to dig itself down into the hay. Both subconscious actions had the same result. I could just barely make out what seemed to be a ¡°ajajaj...¡± sound through the constant rustle of hay. In the next moment, the door swung open, revealing the girl from before. She was covered in grassy grass grass from head to toe, and her dark hair was in a very cartoonish styling. It was standing straight in the air and in it, there were several sticks. Did she... roll on the ¡°endless hills¡±?... does this mean that just about anybody can find this place?? as these thoughts were running through my mind, the girl slowly peeked inside, slowly entering the hut. She noticed the trophy first, giving a near-silent whistle. Soon she went inside completely, most likely deep in wonder about how this place came here or whatever. ¡°hm?¡± it wasn''t long until she noticed the Whiskey. h-, hey! That''s mine! She quickly went over to the kitchen, grabbing the bottle from its shelf. With a ¡°gotcha now, biach!¡± jump out of the hay, she turned around, pale as the moon. What, didja see a gho-, she dropped the Whiskey bottle. HRMG. With a relieved sigh, I caught the bottle with telekinesis and brought it over to me. Hey! Stop snooping! Izz mine! With a slight release, the Whiskey gently floated to the ground beside me. She waved her hands as if saying ¡°it''s not what it looks like!¡± but soon, her face turned from fear to pleasant surprise. ¡°Kaninen! E de du?¡± she ran up to me, completely different to when I caught her probing my stuff, and caught me in her arms. Hng!If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. Her arms enveloped me in an embrace, her face filled with life, a bright smile adorning her. Well, she was still as grey as everything else, but... she looked genuinely happy. ¡°Mor ? Far pratade ig?r om en l?skig behornad hare som skr?mde Bj?rn, och jag kunde inte tro det! Var det du??¡± I have no idea what she was saying, but she sounded as she was in disbelief, of something. Hm? she was staring deeply into my eyes, searching for an answer to whatever she had asked. However, I had no answer to give, as I could not understand the question. Her eyes suddenly moved slightly higher than my eyes, losing the contact. Her hands moved up and touched my slightly larger horns. With a deep, sorrowful sigh she sat me down. Was that tears in her eyes? She waved goodbye and left the hut. I didn''t have time to wave back before she turned her back on me, leaving me to my Whiskey. My ears drooped as I left the hut as well, not before returning the Whiskey to its rightful place on the shelf, however. Strangely enough, when I left, it was dark. Night had fallen like a cold blanket upon the world, the glimmering stars shining brightly above like glittering diamonds. I hopped up on one of the larger hills and looked out over the village. There were no shining lights, but I could see a faint glimmer of a flame in a single, rather fancy looking house. Well, compared to the other houses, it was rather fancy. It was located smack down the middle of the village, unlike most other houses which were close to either pasture or crops. Might this be the village council house? Driven out of curiosity, I inched closer with a few hops. It was, like the other houses, a deep red, but its roof looked far sturdier than the rest and it had a few more windows to peer through then the rest. I easily peered through one of the windows, quickly noticing how heavily furnished it was. Well, compared to the other house I was at, anyways. A large table, a bunch of chairs, a chest, a few cabins, shelves filled with books and other miscellaneous, and a bunch of other stuff like trophies or paintings. In the middle of the room I was peering into, was the large table, whole bunch''o chairs surrounding it, and people sitting on the chairs. A lot of people. Like, at least twenty. Most were adults, but I could see a few teens and two children. All were seated around the table. Most wore simple but efficient clothes while a few wore more fancy outfits. They were talking that strange language, but I couldn¡¯t make out what they were saying. Something about ¡°r?dda¡± and ¡°barnen¡±, whatever that was. There were no electrical lights, so the place was lit up with a whole bunch of candles which were placed mostly on the table, but a few were on the walls as well. A few of the people looked flustered and were talking continuously while most tried to listen to the many talking all at once. A lot of sign language, going on here... hands go up in a swirly way and then get cupped. Hands go like something is thrown, and a hand jerks away. Really, they looked very afraid. Guess I should''ve brought a translator... sigh, there''s nothing I can do here, right? Well, I mean, there are some things I could try to... take... huhuhu... I know what to do... with relative ease, I forced a can of something to move. No idea what it is, but I made it move. It was rather hard since it was in fact rather big and heavy. Hnnnnngggggg... it slowly slit along the shelf before finally coming out into the free air. ¡ ¡°swoooooshhh¡± ¡°KRASH¡± ¡°fl?mt.¡± ¡ I overestimated my abilities... ¡ the whole room turned to the fallen can, which had now cracked open, revealing... dun dun dun... beans. It was beans. just regular ol'' brown beans. One of the many there rose from his seat, walking over to the cracked open can. ¡°?r detta... det ni talade om?¡± one of the frantic ones nodded ferociously. The man shrugged. ¡°vad... vad ska vi g?ra? Hur kan vi k?mpa mot n?got s?dan?¡± a girl stood up. Her bright eyes flaring wildly. ¡°Tch!¡± he clicked his tongue, apparently not having anything more to say. Oh geez I quickly hid myself outside of their vision. If I were to guess, most turned to face the window I was peeking through. I have no idea what they were saying, but it sure did bring some drama. Hrm, id better get awa-, ¡°swush¡± a door swung open, revealing the girl who previously stood inside, giving an epic speech I couldn¡¯t comprehend. ¡°d?r ?r du.¡± hm. now I can truly see that indeed. It was the girl whom I met earlier today as well as who knows how many days ago. She didn¡¯t seem too happy to see me, however... at my lack of response, she grew impatient, turning her gaze from me to my small horns. ¡°Shope papilloma virus.¡± huh? ¡°det ?r vad jag trodde du hadde. Visar sig att du var en best, s?som alla f?rbaskade varelser I denna v?rld ?r.¡± I don¡¯t know what it was, but something about those words sent a chill down my spine. Just then, her gaze moved from me, going up, up, up, until she reached her goal. She nodded. at that moment, it all went black. Chap. 10, the Tenth One ¡ .. . w-, where.. am I?... ¡ it''s dark... very, very dark... argh, my head... it feels like the room is spinning or something... what happened? Oh, right, I was... I bumped a can of beans over... must have been the national treasure or something, the way they went after me... Hrmmg, my head hurts... ¡ can I use telekinesis? ¡ doesn''t seem that way... hrmg, the whole place is eerily silent, and it''s just... completely dark... did I die again? No, I doubt that this place is unfamiliar, in contrast to the place where I met Bro... ¡ I tried to extend my arm into the darkness, only to be met with an invisible wall. I did the same with my other limbs only to be met with the same resistance. It would seem that I have been put in a box... a rather small one, but still, a box. Hrm. This isn''t too fun, you know? Lets just try... I sat up and tried touching whatever was above me, which I found to be a bit closer than id like. Well, if im going to escape this box, I''d better try all that I''ve got. I strained my legs slightly before lunging my head up and into the wall, horns first. With a loud ¡°THUNK¡±, pain reverberated through my horns and into my head. Owowow... that was stupid of me, I know... I don''t know why or how, but it feels as though all this time adussin eyes have been observing my every move. It''s really freaking me out... I tried checking what happened to the ceiling, only to be pleasantly surprised by a crack having formed. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. Huhuhu, exit found... I once again got up in a sitting stance and bashed my head into the ceiling. ¡°THUnkCrshHH¡± ohoho, owowow, I like the sound of that... something must have happened since a ray of light penetrated a crack that I formed. Alright alright! Third time''s the charm! And with a final bash, I heard the walls crack and eventually collapse on themselves. Yeshhhhhhhh... hmm? HmmMMmmm?? what is thissssss??? before me stood a rather old man, who seemed flustered to the point of extreme fear. He was holding a rather strange cane, which looked like something a wizard would carry around. He was dressed in a gray robe, but disappointingly, he had no hat. What a mo-fo. Behind him sat three people huddled up in a corner. First up, the girl I rolled into and who stalled me as I was most likely knocked out. In her arms, she held two girls, who looked... very similar to her... in fact, im pretty sure that''s the girl I rolled into and now... wait, then who is the third one... geezus, why are they so alike??? im unsure, are these triplets or something or am I imagining things?... whatever they were, they looked terrified. Hm? me? Haha, can''t be! Im just a little bunny! The room I was in was cramped and had no windows. There were shelves, but strangely nothing on them... ah, that must be since the stuff was for some reason on the ground. Weird. I was seated on a rather high table, and around me were the shards of the cage I was in-, no, wait, they disappeared. The shards just disintegrated into thin air. Im just going to assume magic and move on. With a slight turn of the head, I looked behind me. ¡ behind me, I could see around 8 or ten fully grown, adult, powerhouses of a human, men. And they did not look scared, at least not as scared as the old man and the three clones... in fact... they looked rather... pissed?... ¡ is this the time to bail? Yeah probably... but the door to leave this manhole is behind those beefcakes... at the sound of ¡°ehem¡±, I turned around to face to the old man once more. He didn''t seem as flustered as before, but he still looked pretty freaked. ¡°H?lsningar, jag ?r Peter. Det ?r jag som ?r den lokala Trollkarlen.¡± ¡ he made sounds but the only thing I could pick up was when he raised his voice, patted himself and said Peter. Is that his name? Possibly? I would say ¡°Hello Peter¡± or whatever, but I doubt I can make such sounds. Hur som helst s? ser byborna er som en fara f?r byn.¡± he spoke on for a long time before he shrugged and pointed at me. What does that mean? Was he talking to me or about me? ¡°d?rmed s? m?ste jag be er att antingen l?mna byn eller ta konsekvenserna.¡± he suddenly gripped the staff in front of himself, muttering some strange words while he did. h-, he isn''t gonna fire off some crazy magic or something, right?... and with that, he sprouted tentacles from under his robe. ¡ g-, geezus... what in the name of heck did he do?! The tentacles moved frighteningly fast, surrounding me in an instant. ¡°jag ger dig ett val. Fly och kom aldrig tillbaka, eller d?.¡± he said, in a very serious and monotone voice. Not that his voice wasn''t normally serious and monotone. And with that, I had no choice but to escape. With a most likely awesome backflip, I flew through the room, over the men of muscle and into the door. Well, into and out the other side, I would say as I did, in fact, break it down. I fell down on all four and sprinted as fast as I could, through rooms and hallways, most likely leaving destruction behind me. Why would I leave destruction in my wake? Well, firstly, there are a whole bunch''o tentacles and musclemen following me so I''ve got to create a diversion somehow, right? And secondly, my telekinesis has apparently been on for quite a while, stuff is just falling all around me and floating and stuff. Really weird. I didn''t have the time to stop and check my surroundings, but im rather sure that wherever I was it was strangely modern. Slick, white walls with paintings of all kinds mounted upon it. In every hallway, there was a rather fine looking couch, and beside the couch was a small table filled with books and magazines. What it was I could only describe as a... modern hospital. It was silent, everything was white and there were doors into rooms couldn''t enter. I didn''t have time to check since I seemed to have found an exit. I hadn''t seen a single window so I couldn''t escape that way, but now, before me, I saw it. A rather large door and above it was an illuminated green glass something with a picture of a man running into a door painted on it. This must be it! I burst through the door, which led to a staircase, which I followed to another door, and when I opened that, I was out. When I looked back I could see a hatch which was just stuck in the middle of the endless hills, which must be where I was at that moment. Before something else emerged from the hatch, I quickly got on my stomach and rolled away. I soon bumped into the hut which I quickly entered. Phanting heavily, I slumped down in the pile of hay. Only now as I relaxed did my telekinesis stop and some of the hay around me ceased floating. I sighed. Have I become... the villain? But I did nothing wrong... was my whiskey-theft that bad? But he gave it to me? If he had refused I wouldn''t have chased or anything, im not a barbarian, but... do they, perhaps, NEED, a villain? You know, in order to spice life up a bit... should I take that role?... I''ve already messed up somehow, so, why not sacrifice myself to save them? Not from some other threat, but from the constant pummelling life presents them? Would that be the right thing to do? I dont deem the Whiskey thing to be that big of a deal, but perheaps what they need really is for someone to take the place of antagonist? Well... if that is what I must do to bring peace in place of the chaos they believe me to have caused, then, isn¡¯t it justice? Chap. 11, Experimentation with Near-Omnipotance And with that, I fell asleep right on the spot. ¡ .. . when I awoke, I was back in the hut. A quick thought led me to the assumption that Bro helped me out for once. ¡ the horns on that deer... once again, they seem to have grown. Not only that, but they seem to have split. Well, in fact, it''s more like two horns are growing on either side of my head. One longer, and a smaller one right behind it at the base. That would mean my telekinesis has become stronger. ¡ what action could have caused that? Who knows... well, im feeling rather down, aren¡¯t I? Well, nothing I can do but accept what I must do... I left the hut, feeling a bit mol about the whole thing. So, in conclusion, what I must do is... find someone, let them defeat me and leave this place, never to return again. The question that seems to linger is... well, who, how and what then? Who should defeat me? It should be... well, a respected, charismatic someone who will not abuse the reputation gained from defeating a... Jackalope. How should they defeat me and how do I look intimidating? I can only imagine... my defense is most likely not too high, so, how do I get defeated without actually being killed or captured? Well, I''ll probably have to ad-lib that, but I can hypothesize that I will need to seem strong and then seem defeated, only to run away in the last second. On that note, I need to truly look defeated, otherwise, they will just think ill return. Intimidation, intimidation... how to intimidate... I dont think I was too much of an intimidator when I was human, but... I sort of remember how to. Its just about appearing strong and willing to do pain for the pleasure of oneself, right? Ill have to do that, then... thing is, most likely, ill have to use telekinesis in a more creative manner then previously.Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. I turned my thoughtfull gaze to some grass growing peacefully on the ground. With the wim of will alone, the grass easily split into three pieces which soon braided themselves. As I thought. Telekinesis is a weaker form of omnipotence. Sigh, I suppose I should have used it like this instead of simply making stuff float. Well, this might actually just have developed recently... before this, everything I used it on had the feeling of wanting to just float, not... stuff like this... now that I think about it, whats the range of this thing? Looking up to the grey sky, I spotted a cluster of white. Focusing my power on it, I imagined it soaring throught the cloat and over to me. Lo and behold, it did! The cloud easily floated down. Well, as it did, it seems I have a tendancy of condensing stuff, so what came to me was a baseball sized ball of water. Great discovery nonetheless. On another hand, I want to try a little thing. How about distrubuting the power equally to the suurroundings? It would make the amount a single strand of grass could move lesser and make it slower as well, but if I did it to a lot, I imagine it could make quite an impressi-, I mean, intimidation. With this in mind, I tried making all the grassy grass grass around me release itself from the ground and float up. It strained my mind to its brink, but the grassy grass grass left the earth and floated. As imagined, I could barely move them, but they did in fact float. Actually, with about a ten meter radius around me, a cirkle of floating grassy grass grass. hm... what if I... the radius didnt decrease, but about fifty percent of the grass fell to the ground as I used the power left from that to make the whole thing spin. Spin spin spin spin... the grassy grass grass started spinning... faster, and faster, and faster, until its speed let it go around almost as fast as a very small tornado. Of grassy grass grass. I kind of wish I had power left to make myself float in the eye of it, but sadly, I could not. I dont know why, but ive never been able to get myself to float. ¡ then again, ive never tried, sooo... hehehe... with a slight slip of will, I let the grass tornado slip from my grasp and down on the village. Gotta make them scared, yo. Nobody got hurt tough since it was like the weakest tornado in history. Focusing all my power of will/telekinesis/weak-a?-omnipotance, I started to feel... weird... its like the gravitational pull on my body ceases functioning, but instead of drifing away as one would if they stopped being affected by gravity since the earth is constantly moving, it was as if something was tugging on my body, forcing me to simply hover in place. It was... cold... it felt like a... large, cold hand was resting on my body and pulling me. Ermm, gotta pull myself together... I tried making myself float a bit higher in the air, which I did. It was rather hard, since I was definitely the biggest object ive ever lifted. Hurr... I was about three times my height up in the air, by which I mean I can now reach to about the same height as the crotch of a normal human being. Hooray. I didnt really want to, but I forced one of my paws to move slightly. I felt a smaller hand, just a little bit bigger then my own touch my hand and drag it out. But no matter how small the hand was, it was still as cold as death. I would call it terrifying, but due to my gross fachination with it, the power rush I felt and the adrenaline that had now taken the place of my blood in coarsing through my veins, it was instead thrilling. I guess I know what to do now. And with that, I made my way over to the village. Chap. 12, The Siege on The Village on The Night of The Heroes of The Justices of The World The village was quiet. It had somehow started to get dark, must be since I took quite the time to try out my powers... anyhow, the grass tornado didn''t level the village as one might have thought but was instead disintegrated into nothing. How? Well, as I could see it, a young teen, must have been 14 or 15, hit the tornado with a sword so hard it disappeared. ¡ Geezus! Just like that?? just a ¡°SWOSH¡± and it''s gone??? that was what half of all my powers could create, and you just swoosh it with a friggin SWORD??? erherm, I might be overreacting a bit, but... a-, anyways. The sky was a bit too clear, so by disintegrating my telekinesis into teeny tiny pieces that were small enough to grab at beads of water in the sky, I made clouds cover the hopeful sky, one by one. Now, don''t go thinking it was easy either! It was hard, really hard you know!? I mean, small enough to braid grass, sure! But to grasp at water so small it can float on the wind?? now that''s an achievement. Any-anyhow, I don''t really know quite why, but it started raining. All that trouble of bringing the clouds for it to just rain down?? might have been because I just had to make a nearly black sky, but whatever. I made my entrance. I once again lifted my small body into the air, but this time a bit higher up. Gotta give them a sense of inferiority, yo. And like that, I floated high above, at around the same level of the houses. The houses weren''t too tall, but it was about as high up as two people standing on each other. Like this, I entered the village. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. At first, everybody was looking to the skies in disbelief. Seems the weather forecast was a bit off the mark, huh... hehehe... the man who reked my tornado with a sword before took a step forward, making his presence known. Three other young teens took a step forwards as well. Hm? these all are dressed rather fancy... the young man from before, who I now noticed had light gray hair and eyes, was wearing some sort of iron suit of armor, but it was mostly leather and... well, it looked strange. However, I am rather sure that it was just for looks. He seemed kind of excited about my appearance, but he probably wanted to come off as a ¡°cool guy¡±, since he was trying to hide his excitement. The three other teens, whereas two girls and one guy, were also dressed somewhat like that. One of the girls was dressed in a robe with a satisfyingly large hat to boot. She was holding a wooden staff in her hand, and overall just reminded me of the tentacle-guy from before. You know, the guy who also had a staff and robe but no hat? Yeah, that guy. She was rather cool about this whole thing. My appearance didn''t seem to surprise her, but she was gripping that staff quite firmly. The other girl was dressed in a more... ¡°holy¡± attire. She was wearing a strange pope-hat on her head and a robe like the other girl, but it was more like a white sort of gray whereas the other girl had a more black or just really dark colored gray. She wasn''t holding any wand or staff, but she did have a pair of strangely fancy gloves. They seemed to be glowing, but I can''t be sure. She seemed a bit afraid of me but also ready for anything. The last one, a guy, was wearing a more practical armor, but it was still mostly for looks. He was holding a large battle-ax in one hand and a massive steel shield in the other. He looked really muscular and had a rugged face. Cool guy, overall. He seemed to be wary of something. That something was most likely me. Huu... All seemed to be around 14 or 15, but the last guy seemed a bit older, not by much though. The young man stepped forwards, catching my attention a bit. ¡°hello, oh great Jackalope!¡± hm? they know English? Well well well, guess my time of communication has com-, wait, wait, wait, up until now, I''ve been seen as a cold, unfeeling beast that acts passively to whatever they say, right? so... in order to be intimidating, I guess ill have to... not respond... grrrr, curse you, circumstance! The young man, at my lack of response, continued his speech. Why in English, though? Wouldn''t you pick whatever language you''re usually speaking? Argh, who knows, can''t ask them... ¡°I am the hero of the humans, Hunter the Hero of Valor!¡± eh? hero? James? he''s a hero? Where did that come from? Well, that does still not explain that strange clothing... he looked over to the cool girl in the dark robe, as if telling her to continue. ¡°I am Melissa, the Witch of Wisdom.¡± she said in a calm, monotone voice, almost as if she''s done it a thousand times before. The girl in white continued. ¡°i-I''m Jacquelyn, th-, the P-, Priest of Light...¡± geez, whats she so nervous about? Well, she seemed really embarrassed, hiding her face in her robe. I couldn''t quite see the colors specifically, but she was most likely red as a puddle of blo-, ehem, a tomato. The rugged man quickly covered her mistakes with a simple: ¡°and I am John, the ¡°Shield¡± of Justice.¡± the whole sentence was really oozing with sarcasm and despise... geezus, what is up with these?... the ¡°Hero of Valor¡± nodded, seemingly content with the whole introduction. ¡°Not that you needed to know all of that, considering the beast you are... pff¡± he tried to keep himself from laughing at a joke. Nobody else even came close to laughing. Not even a giggle. ¡°hrkk, hrkk, well, we were sent here to subjectuate you, due to the evil acts against Bjerred you have caused. As such, prepare to be defeated, foul beast of evil!¡± I''m not even going to correct him on that... well, I guess it''s time to be defeated! Chap. 13, How to Intimidate 101 Alright, alright. Step one, intimidation. By spreading the remaining telekinesis around me on random objects like rocks and sand, I made a rather intimidating ¡°sigh of anger¡±. Im rather sure it was intimidating since the rugged dude shielded himself, the priest girl made ¡°hii¡± sound, the witch girl was cool as usual but a bit more serious while the ¡°hero¡± of the bunch readied his sword. As a final procedure before my ¡°intimidation heck¡± breaks loose, I made sure there were no villagers around. Yup, yup, nobody here, let''s go! I started by making the random pebbles and stuff orbit around me. Then, they soon picked up speed and in a matter of seconds, I had created another whirlwind. Oh wee, geez, let''s hope no certain hero butts in and stops this whirly dirly tornado here the hero, as expected, pointed his sword to the skies, mumbled some weird shiet, and brought it down on my tornado. Yup yup, all is well. The tornado was cleaved in half, and just in time, I ¡°faltered¡± backward, making myself look as f to say ¡°h-, how! That was my greatest, hrng, grrrrr! I''ll get you for that¡± or something. And with that, I quickly picked the rubble up again, but this time, instead of simply making a tornado, I did a little trick ive always wanted to try. I released the rubble, but before it even had the chance to fall, I used the leftover telekinetic force to shoot the rocks and rubble at fast enough speeds to at least hit with moderate force instead of just falling down. The priest girl let out a ¡°Hiii!¡± again before turning her head, probably in fear or something, and bringing up her hands. As I expected, these hands did, in fact, have a pair of gloves on them. These gloves released some sort of light gray-ish glow, and just as the rubble got close to them, they were disintegrated. Well, not quite. More like... they ran into a wall. The rocks made ripples in whatever they hit, revealing a light gray-ish dome covering the whole party. Hey! That''s cheating! Keep it up!Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. I moved my body as if I was surprised, and the hero took no time to let me rest but instead jumped up towards me, sword raised high. If I get hit by a sword, I will die. And like that, I easily dodged to the right as he cleaved the air I was just standing on in half. Whoa, whoa. That could have been me. Geezus. But right as I was contemplating the mortality of the moment, the hero exploded. Eh? w-, what? ¡°tch.¡± like that, my gaze returned to the witch who until now had been static. Her staff was raised high, pointing at where the hero was currently falling to the ground, charred black. I-, is he alive? ¡°M-, Melissa! Wh-, why''d you do that??¡± the priest girl said, the witch turned to her with an annoyed look painted on her frankly beautiful face. ¡°the Jackalope dodged.¡± eh? eh eh eh? so... uh, that magic was... behind me... and since I dodged... it hit the hero... h-, hey! Are you trying to kill your teammates or what!? If you wanted to hit me, then you should have waited until you were sure where I would be! Good thing I dodged and didn¡¯t block or something... the Priest girl looked rather annoyed as she left the other two and ran over to the hero. She let her hands rest on his chest before also mumbling some weird stuff. A bright glow encapsulated the two of them, and after a little while of this light show, the hero was completely healed. Well, his burned clothes weren¡¯t, but... good enough, I s''pose. With a rageful look in his eyes, he turned to me. ¡°so you can use fire magic, huh... should have known evil beasts like you wouldn''t have any regard for a life at all, huh!¡± he said, a flame of hatred having been ignited in his eyes. ¡ im not even going to point out his hypocrisy. He''ll have to live with that. The rugged dude sighed and stepped forwards, holding his shield right in front of me. What? You want me to have that? Oh, how nice of you. HRNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGOHGEEZITSHEAVY I tried lifting it, which seemed to alert the rugged dude as he let the shield go. I took this chance to release it from my grip, only to then hit it as hard as I could, sending it swooshing through the air into the side of a barn. Huh, huh, huh... that was... way too heavy... apparently, my tired looks were conveyed to the rugged man as he quickly ran up to me and tried to hit me with his large battle ax, but in a tired struggle, I forgot to dodge and instead blocked it, something which I should have learned from the exploding hero was a bad idea. Something hard hit my back, and simultaneously, I failed to block the battle ax, so I was sent swirling through the air and into the side of a house. Oh, oh geez... that was... erherm... the witch was pointing her staff at something in the air while having an annoyingly triumphant look on her face, as if taunting not me but the priest girl. Hey hey, im your enemy here! Just as I tried to lift my tired, heavy body off the ground the rugged dude once again emerged, his shield in his hand high above his head. Where did he get that didn¡¯t I-, BOOFAH he just slammed me with the shield. Just... not even a weapon. His friggin shield did it. I knew it was time. I let a pained scream release from my tattered body before I used all my telekinesis to lift myself into the air and lounge me far off, never to again see that village I thought of as peaceful. Behind me I could see the rugged man following my path, looking either disappointed or apathetic. Some villagers as well as the other ¡°heroes¡± ran up to the rugged man and hugged him. I would have shed a tear or two, but I had no feelings for this village nor its inhabitants. Chap. 14, The Three Squares Sigh, I cant see the village anymore... Bjerred, was it? Argh, who knows and who cares... well, I guess I both know and care, so, that answers that... aa, im getting tired of constantly floating. It''s kind of nauseating now that I think about it. With a slight thud, I landed gently in a clearing in the middle of a lush forest. As it had started to get rather dark, the sounds of the forest were constant and quite alarming. However, I no longer feared most creatures of the forest due to my powers. Still, with the silver streaks of moonlight illuminating the forest, I could also see what was happening. With a few cautious whiffs of the air and some silent listening, I concluded there to be nothing to fear in a close proximity to myself, but I also smelt a rather delicious smell. Was someone cooking nearby? It smelled that way, and when I truly peaked my ears, I could hear faint whispering. Well, im not one to say no to some company this late into the night. Gotta have a place to sleep anyways. As I got closer to whatever was emitting that delicious smell, the whispers turned into faint conversations. I could pick up what they were saying, but still, one cant learn a language simply by hearing it, so I couldn''t understand what they were saying. ¡°?r maten klar snart eller m?ste jag sl? dig till d?ds¡± ¡°h?ll k?ft, ja jobbar p? ''re¡± ¡°sluta gr?la era j?vla babianer¡± or something along those lines. Really, who knows what they were talking about. I just kept slowly hopping in their direction. From their voices, I could hear two men and a woman. The men had really dark voices while the girl had... also, a really deep voice. Wasnt there that thing called puberty or am I imagining things? Anyhow, I soon reached their camp. Yup, as I kind of imagined, two guys and a girl. Which was which? That''s... All three of them were covered in muscle and dressed rather light, but beside them, I could see a pile of armor and swords. They were sitting each on a single log and the three logs were arranged around a fire with a cauldron hanging above it. One of the... humans... was stirring the cauldron while the two other humans were sitting beside it. One of the humans sitting down was making an ¡°I am complaining¡± voice while the other was making an ¡°I am the leader¡± voice. How do these sound like? Well, come over here and ill make an impression! It seems the one stirring the pot was in fact male, as he had a stubble. Now that I look at the others, one of the others also had a stubble. None of them had long hair, revealing cloth or anything like that, so... yeah. If I had to describe them with geometric shapes, they would all be squares. Pretty unusual seeing a female square, females are usually circles or triangles... then again, who knows, there might just be a male circle here somewhere! I shivered at my own thought. As I did so, it seems whatever the man was stirring was done, as he snatched a bowl from the one I presume to be male. He sloshed some sort of liquid brownish thing with some slightly more solid things into the wooden bowl and gave it back to the presumed man, who immediately brought the concoction to his face, drinking it. Without a spoon. Grr.This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. Erherm, the one I presume to be of the female species presented the bowl to the man, who sloshed some of the presumed stew into the bowl without taking it. She drank it like the other man. Also without a spoon. Grrr. And finally, the last man poured stew into his own and drank it like the two others. Grrrr... do they not have any spoons? While they were all encapsulated in drinking soup/stew, I extracted a piece of hopefully meat from the stew and made it float over to me with surprising speed. Nobody noticed Alright, alright! I immediately chowed down on whatever I caught with somewhat glee. Nom nom nom... hm? It''s... surprisingly delicious! Hey, square! Aren¡¯t you more of a triangle or circle then? Hehe... in a matter of seconds, the piece of what was confirmed to be meat was gone. Phuuu, delish. I want more. But theyve already gone on to seconds, so... seconds, please! When I thought nobody was looking I tried stealing another piece of meat. Float float float, plop, nom nom nom. Delishhhhhhh... hoho, the rest are still eating... I guess... just one more?... as I lifted a piece from the stew, I felt like someone was observing me. Well, not me, the piece of stew. Before I had time to confirm or deny this, however, I had already set my imaginary fangs into the meat. Im pretty sure I actually swallowed it whole, but I''m unsure. ¡°h?rni, s?g ni det?¡± ¡°vad?¡± ¡°det s?g ut som att en bit k?tt fr?n grytan fl?g iv?g...¡± ¡°haha, nu e du allt full, drack du upp v?r Whiskey eller? The moon stood high in the sky, the stars glittering like diamonds with the moon as its crown jewel. The man played a little on the guitar as the woman let her lips part and let her voice dance in the night. ¡°Uti v?r hage d?r v?xa bl?b?r, kom hj?rtans fr?jd~¡± the men were singing the same but in a darker tone, meaning... a choir! The other two looked at each other surprised before one of them said: ¡°var det inte du?¡± all three fell silent. The woman rose from her seat. ¡°vi m?ste ?ka. L?mna Whiskyflaskan. Om vi vill ?verleva natten som m?ste vi l?mna den n?got s? att den inte f?rf?ljer oss.¡± as she said that, the two others seemed both frightened and sad. One of them looked as if he wanted to retort her, but he couldn''t bring himself to. How strange. The woman started equipping the armour and stuffing their stuff back in a horse wagon I forgot to mention. Soon enough they were all sitting on the wagon, ready to go. The woman raised her voice slightly and shouted to one of the others: ¡°s?tt nu ner Whiskyn! Vi m?ste ?ka innnan det blir f?r sent!¡± ¡°jaja, ja ska!¡± hm? is that... Whiskey?... whys he setting it down there?... is it for me? Naaahhhhh, that cant be. Well, soon after he set the Whiskey down, he jumped on the wagon and off they went, leaving the Whiskey behind. ¡ well, I mean, finders keepers, right? The Whiskey bottle gently floated into the air, where I let if float gently beside me. Welp, I''ve got nowhere in particular to be. Why not hitch-hike? Hehehe... I quickly floated myself on top of the wagon and huddled myself into a pile of cloth. I soon fell asleep, bottle resting comfortably in my arms. Zzz... zz... ¡ .. . Chap. 15, A Battle to Remember ¡ .. . uuuuuuuu, hrnnnnnggg, that was a nice slumber. Really refreshing. When I opened my eyes, as expected, I was pummelled by powerful rays of light, as well as a few shadows. Morsning korsning hur m?r frugan? As my eyes adjusted to the newfound light, I noticed them. The three stooges. Hewey Dewey and Lewey. Tripp trapp trull. The three squares were hanging right above me, like three grapes or something. But square. Square grapes. Man, id like to just eat those square grapes... ¡ hey, wait a minute... there are no square grapes! And with that, I shredded the veil of ignorance clouding my eyes, revealing the square grapes to be... aha! The three people who I stole stew from, gave me whiskey and sang a song! I knew those grapes were but feeble distractions of the mind! ¡°den vaknade, v-, vad g?r vi??¡± ¡°tyst, idiot, v?nta p? att den g?r n?got f?rst.¡± whoaap. Talking. I wonder what they''re saying, I mean... this is all foreign to me. The three were almost unmovable, probably waiting for me to move. But alas, Im way too tired to move. I''d say ¡°five more minutes¡± but that joke is way too overused. I let one of my paw reach out, and when I almost came into contact with one of the amazed-yet-cautious squares... I hit it. Well, rather, I slapped it away. Hm? why? Hehe... I hit... snOOZE hehehhehhehehehehehehehheehhehehehehehehhehehehehe git it? Cuz, uh, you hit the one that wakes you, but, uh, this time, it was a human, so, I hit the human. ... Hilarious, am I rite? The three squared moved a bit. Well, it looked more like they reached back and grabbed something.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. That something turned out to be a hammer and a sickle, a war hammer and a battle axe. Whoa whoa whoa I meant no harm don''t harm me I may have amazing powers of a level 2 (if you''re wondering what the hell he''s talking about, just ask me or whatever, I reply to pm''s ;^)) telekinetic but I''m still a rabbit I mean no harm Their weapons lowered slightly. I must have been... uh, just too cute to kill? Who knows? Well, it seems their guard is down! Im getting outta here! With surprisingly agile moves, I got up on my hind leg and pushed away from the cart. The Whiskey? What do you think, of course I brought it along! With my telekinetic powers, I successfully caught myself in the air. The three squared stared at me, probably rather surprised. I may be a Jackalope or whatever, but I''m rather strong! Hehehehe, that felt good... ¡°Fanken! Vi m?ste f?nga den! Vem vet vad det kan g?ra om vi l?ter den g??!¡± one of the squares shouted at the other two. Wait, it cant be, do none of these have any long range attacks or something? Naaahh, that cant be... I mean, they seem pretty successful, how could they fail in that important part? Well, then again, I have no idea what enemies these people might face. There was that armed wolf, and theses that snake, and then theres me. These are all monsters. So, consequentially, there must be even more, frighteningly powerful monsters. Sut then again, have these three never met a flying or long range enemy? Hrm, most likely not. When they battle they probably jus-, whoa! That square just threw his sickle at me! Not cool, man! The square that was shouting at them earlier kicked the square who now only had a hammer so hard he fell. Ouch. Well, I suppose, if you decided to give me this sickle... the sickle floated gently into the air beside me. Huhuhu, prepare to face... my wrath! The square that was probably the leader put her battleaxe down and raised both her hands. Who-, ¡°va-,¡± ¡°ssshh, din idiot! F?lj mig!¡± the rest of the squared followed suit, lowering weapons and raising hands. ¡ whats this about. I let the sickle float down with a slight thud. Peace or something? ¡°...¡± the leader square let one of her hands form a ball, and then stuck out the middle and pointy fingurr. I-, it cant be... peace?? I tried to form my paw into a peace sign, but, uh, failure. How in the heck-, oh! Haha, I know! While the three looked on in most likely disbelief, I curled my body into a ball, letting into my large ears stick out. Hope this is being conveyed well, this is rather bad for my back... hrggg... I peeked out between by arms and legs to view their response. All three were waving peace. Aw yis. I slowly uncurled and floated down towards them. Slowly, of course. I need to make an impression, don''t I? I slowly reached out my front paw. The leader did the same. As our hands met, she gently grasped mine. I don¡¯t know why, but I wanted telekinesis in on this, so I let telekinesis gently grasp as well, making out hands bob up and down in a handshake. Too much? Too little? Argh, who knows. After a short time the handshake got a bit awkward, so I canceled it and floated around before landing on the leaders shoulder. It was surprisingly easy to sit there, must be due to her having ginormous shoulders worthy of a true square. She seemed a bit surprised, but also relieved. ¡°L-, L?nn??¡± hm? that was directed to this leader here, right? so... hohoho... thats her name... L?nn. Hrm. Reminds me of something something but I dunno what. Probobly, yeah. Anyways, L?nn brought her fingurr to her mouth, making a ¡°shush¡± sound or something. ¡°Bok, Ek, lugna er.¡± whowee, what a soft voice. Well, kind of, its still deep as an opera singer''s anal cavity, but it was rather soft. hm. was that pauses I heard? Might this be an indication of names? I turned my head to L?nn. She looked back at me. Jeezus she does not look like a she but still, she might have understood my thoughts, telepathic bastard, and started pointing at the other two. She pointed at one and said: ¡°Bok.¡± and then the other. ¡°Ek.¡± oh, I see, so... that''s Bok, and Thats Ek... wait, uh, who was who again? You are all too alike! Less square and more triangle, and as for you young lady... uh, who knows, more triangle and circle? Who knows? L?nn started trying to walk a bit. Ah, no worries L?nn, I will never fall. The plot has been twisted I fell. Haha, jokes on you, I didn¡¯t fall. Im not a Level 2 telekinetic for nothing! She seemed a bit relaxed that I was pretty darn secure on her shoulder, so she walked over to the cart and sat down in the back while the two others sat themselves in the front, by the horses. And off we where. Where? Who knows. Chap. 16, Another Amazing Battle? ¡ .. . Mmmmm, it would seem I fell asleep, as I awoke to an unfamiliar scent, location, and sound. Well, perhaps less of an unfamiliar sound as more of a sound I''ve never heard in person. I recognize the sound from many movies and television series I must have seen sometimes when I was still human. It was first an ¡°AAAAAAA¡± sound, followed by a ¡°BOsH¡± followed in turn by a final ¡°ARKK¡±. My eyes blinked open and allowed me to take a look at what was actually happening. Around ten meters away from me I could see what was making the sound. The three squ-, ehem, L?nn, Bok, and Ek were battling a, uh, well. A monster. Most clearly a monster. What it is, I don¡¯t know. All I know is that it is, in fact, a monster. Hm. Wait, a sec, I think, I know what this thing is. You remember that armed wolf when I was birthed? Well, you know how I''ve slowly been getting larger horns, onthatnoteishouldcheckhowtheyturnedoutmyheadfeelsheavy, yeah? I think this monster is the armed wolf but evolved. Kind of like me or something... it was far larger than before, its fur having a light purple-ish metallic look. It was kind of like a centaur, with a wolf''s body as lower half, but the rest was also... wolf... it was like an anthropomorphic wolf, on a wolf, but the anthropomorphic wolf had four arms... really quite weird... he was holding four different weapons in his hands, a shield in one of them, a sword in a second, a blue orb in the third and finally a spear in the last. If one of the Squares tried to hit him from behind, some sort of magic prevented them, if they attacked from the front, the shield stopped them and the sword countered, if they tried to throw stuff, he countered with magic. Eh? Eh? Is he? Perfect? Cant be, cant be. The problem laid in the three Squares, not him. They tried desperately to attack and overpower the armed Wolfman, but unless they had some support from the back, I doub-, they need me don¡¯t they. Well, I suppose, if we are going to be on the same team, I should help them, no? Hrm. I''ve never used my Telekinesis for combat before, so... let''s try! As I was thinking L?nn had fallen to the ground and was being threatened by the spear hovering right above her.Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. O shi-, I quickly grabbed the spear byways of telekinesis. The Wolfman seemed rather surprised by this, trying his best to move it. Until now he had been in a state of ¡°Takin'' it cool, nuthin'' to be afraid of here.¡± while he pummelled my newfound friends, but he kind of lost that vibe and was currently in a state of unfocused confusion. With a silence one would not expect from a square, Bok jumped out, holding his war hammer high above his head from behind the Wolfman and struck him, hopefully, hard on the back. he was probably going for the Wolfman''s head, but as luck goes, the Wolfman turned his head at just the right moment for the hammer to miss. I mean, I would expect a square to make an ¡°AAAAA¡± sound while jumping out like that, but I guess they are a bit smarter than that? A sneak attack is supposed to be sneaky, after all. Anyway, the Wolfman released the spear, letting it float in the air while he jumped out of harm''s way. Hmm. Weapon... acquired! I let the spear swoosh around a little before holding it like a spear hopefully should be held. The Wolfman had no time to observe the situation as L?nn got up to her feet and lunged at him with her Battleaxe raised high. He tried to defend with his shield and attack with his sword, but in this matter it seems she was slightly stronger and successfully deflected the sword and shield, the shield falling to the ground. Hm? haha, chance! I lunged the spear into him and watched as it pierced the skin and lodged itself into his side. ¡°AAARGGH!!...¡± the Wolfman shouted as he tried to remove the spear, which it easily did and fell to the ground. oh. oh god. That was... im not doing that again, that was... I felt like puking. The three Squares, on the other hand, saw this as a chance and attacked him as well. I-, I cant... that scream was just, far, far, too human... I don¡¯t know why we are fighting, but... I quickly grabbed the shield and threw it between L?nn and the Wolfman, deflecting her Battleaxe, to her and the Wolfmans great surprise. Seeing these fight... no, I will not let this continue. I snatched the remaining two weapons from the Wolfman, as well as the three squares'' weapons. I let them all float into the sky in a ball, and while the four creatures were distracted, I let my body float gently toward them. The Wolfman noticed me first, and soon the rest turned both their attention and gazes to me. I didn¡¯t want to do like I did before and curl into a ball since I did, in fact, want to see what their reactions were. With the weapons still floating, I used my telekinesis on some grass below me. Well, I let all the grass in a one-meter radius float into the air. Then I made them into the form of a hand. Then, I stuck out the fingurrs. The Wolfman had his unyielding gaze turned to the grass peace sign. The three squares seemed to all sigh at the same time as they raised their hand and showed the Wolfman a peace sign. Hohoho. The Wolfman groaned slightly as he raised his hand to his face, and hesitantly made a peace sign as well. Hohohohoho. As the Wolfman''s wound that I accidentally made was still bleeding, I quickly sealed his would with telekinesis by letting the blood he lost flow right in and keeping it in there. This all was a huge strain on my mind, so I let the weapons fall a few meters away from all the people present. Hoooo, hope this Wolfman actually could imagine peace. He made a few strange movements with his mouth, as if trying to speak. Hrm. I quickly noticed a patch of ungrassy dirt and moved his attention thereby making a tiny whirlwind form. As he seemed rather surprised I drew a smiley in the dirt. Using telekinesis, of course. Now that I think of it, I''m pretty darn reliant on that, aren¡¯t I? Well, doesn¡¯t really matter at the moment. The Wolfman seemed to understand what I meant and sat down by the dirt. His fingurr moved slowly along the ground, making various signs. I... have no idea what that means... is it chine-, ehem, mandarin? Japanese? Korean? I dunno, something like that... whatever it is, I don¡¯t understand it. Neither do the three Squares who now have helped form a ring around the path of dirt. With easy movements, I made a ¡°?¡± sign. The Wolfman drew a ¡°...¡± and erased the whole thing with a sweep of his hand. It would seem nobody here understands one another, except the three squares, that is. The Wolfman drew a little stickman on the ground and pointed at it before pointing at himself. Then he drew a square, made a line between the square and stickman, and then erased the stickman except his head, where he drew X''s over the stickman''s eyes. He made two of his other hands make a ball and then made the ball ¡°explode¡± while making a ¡°Fwoosh¡± sound. He then erased everything except the head and gave the head normal eyes. He seemed to think for a little while before drawing those weird signs again all around the head. Then he erased everything but the head yet again and drew some trees and gave the head a body. However, the body was on all fours and had a tail, he also gave the head a pair of ears. Eh? Wait, whoat?? was he also... reincarnated?... Chap. 17, Alliance Formed I observed how the Wolfman drew some other animals around himself. He drew a few lines between these, showing how they most likely attacked. He erased these, however, and drew muscles on the wolf. Whaa?... he drew a few signs over the wolf''s head. It said ¡°+Lv¡± or something. Hmm? So he knows English? I quickly wrote a little ¡°English?¡± note on the bottom but he shrugged most likely in confusion. Sigh, guess there aren''t that many ways of communicating with these... the Wolfman drew an extra pair of arms on the wolf''s head. Hm? hmhm? Hmhmhm??? the Wolfman leaned in to draw something, but I stopped him. A wave of confusion flooded his face, but he soon realized it was my doing. I quickly drew a bunny in the dirt, right beside another smaller rabbit, as if saying ¡°remember this???¡±. The Wolfman made a ¡°gasp¡± sound and drew a line over the larger rabbits neck, as well as crossing its eyes out. So, you admit to the senseless murder of my pseudo-mother??? I must have accidentally activated Telekinesis or something since the Wolfman quickly got up on his four legs with a frightened/wary look on his face. Ah, sorry sorry, didn¡¯t mean to do that. Hmm? Aaargh! I erased the drawings! Nooooooooooooo with the snap of a wrist, everything was back to its prior state. The Wolfman seemed to have calmed down, but he was still a bit wary of me. It''s not like I''ll have a try at your life or anything, I''m no murderer. On another note, I pointed to the smaller rabbit and then pat my chest. The Wolfman got a pale expression. Well, it would be pale if it wasn¡¯t for the fact that I couldn¡¯t see his paling face. Well, im rather sure he was in a bit of a plight. His face was in an ¡°o shi-¡± state while his body just tried to comprehend what to do. Well, I''m pretty sure that if you tried you could at least modestly harm me right this second. I mean, come on, I''m literary an innocent little bunny. Anyhow. I erased the whole thing with a small thought and gestured to the Wolfman to continue. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. During the following few hours, the Wolfman drew his entire life up until now, including the battle before. Hm. it would seem, in conclusion, he just battled a lot, slowly grew stronger, and here we are. I could probably show my entire story, but it''s nowhere near as interesting as whatever he showed us. As he seemed done I decided to do a final thing with the dirt-board. I first drew three squa-, ehem, three people, then a little rabbit, and finally the Wolfman. I drew two lines between me and the three Squares and then drew a peace sign. Then I drew a line between the three Squares, Me and the Wolfman. I then drew a peace sign between us and him, as well as a few question marks around it. The Wolfman looked over it and thought for a second before he drew a definitive peace sign between the three of us. Hohoho, successsss... it would seem I have created an alliance. I hopped onto the Wolfman''s shoulder. Mmnn, fluffy... I didn¡¯t realize it myself, but I snuggled down into the fur and fell right on asleep. ¡ .. . mmmmmmmmmmorningngnggggggg Hm? did I fall asleep?... What a dangerous Wolfman... I woke up still on the Wolfman, but I was being held abnormally still in two of his hands. The rest of his body was walking beside the horse-drawn cart. Plus, one of his hands was slowly stroking my back. Hnmmm, this doesn¡¯t feel too bad... mmmmmmmmmmmm... mmmm... mmmm... he seemed to have noticed my awakening, as he twitched for a second and ceased stroking me. h-, hey! I liked that!... With that he slowly handed me to L?nn, who was sitting in the back of the cart, embroidering? Yeah, it looks like that. She was embroiling with colourful wool on a black square of cloth. Hm. The square has turned more circle, eh? Anyhow, I was quickly handed to her, who sat me down on a large puff of fluff. What kind of fluff? Who knows! Looks like wool or something, but I really have no idea. She continued her embroidering. Hmm. Its fish, isn¡¯t it? Yeah, those are fishes. Pretty cute fishes, actually. She continued embroiling somehow, even though my attentive gaze was fixated on her. After a short time, I got bored and turned to watch the scenery instead. Unlike in a car, they didn¡¯t swoosh by, but I instead had time to truly appreciate the green trees, the azure sky, the many many colourful flowerbeds and the warm breeze carrying the sweet scent of the before mentioned flowers. I took a deep whiff of the air. Flowers, nectar, pollen, gladimnotpollenallergic, blood, the light scent of water, wait, blood? Eh? Where did that come from... I spiked my ears and tried to scan the surroundings for any sound other than the sound of running water, frivolously flapping leaves, growling, sword fighting and screams. ¡ ok yeah, there''s something going on here. I turned my head trying to catch exactly where it was coming from. Not from the south, not from the west, not from the east... north?... yeah, right up ahead, the sound of swords clashing, screams, growling, and the scent of blood hanging like a heavy mist around wherever we were heading. It seems the Wolfman had noticed as well, as his ears were peaked and his gaze was fixated on an unidentifiable point ahead of us. I quickly lifted my body and practically threw myself into the Wolfman''s arms. He caught me, confused, but when I pointed my hand (PEKA MED HELA HANDEN) to the road ahead of us, it seems he understood what I meant. I thought I heard someone shouting in the strange language, but I couldn¡¯t identify what it was or where it came from. Must have been someone ahead of us. I tried telling the Wolfman to throw me into the air to give me some way of identifying what was happening, but it seems he didn¡¯t quite understand me, so I had no choice but to do it myself. With a hard press of Telekinesis, I was thrown into the air. Right ahead of us, in the dim light of the evening sun, was a village, wrapped in flames. Shrieks rose from it without stop. The scent of blood was heavy, almost suffocating, even at this hight. The scent of blood was heavy, almost suffocating, even at this hight. Chap. 18, Village Battle Whoo I had somehow suspected this from the moment I heard the screams, however, never did I suspect it to be this bad. Most of the houses were burning and those that weren¡¯t had already collapsed into a pile of charred ash. It felt almost like a scene from a movie. It was simply so... poetic. However, that sensation lasted merely a second as I let myself plummet to the ground and into The Wolfmans awaiting arms. His eyes quickly caught mine and I nodded in confirmation of what he had in mind. His eyes widened for a second before settling down again. With a ¡°Skutt¡± he increased his speed slightly, to the three Squares slight surprise. Well, as I could conclude, they''ve been staring us down ever since I was flung into the air. I knew there was no way in heck I could use some sort of interlingual signs to tell them ¡°Right ahead is village burning help?¡±, so I''ve got no choice but to show them. Well, not quite I, but... The Wolfman took advantage of their interest and ran in close to the cart, waving in a ¡°follow me!¡± kind of sense. hm. Didn''t think of that. Just as before, he sped up, me still in his hands and ran in front of the cart. Well, he ran in far ahead enough so as to not scare the living daylights out of the horses. Good guy? Possibly. I couldn''t see it since I was still being held by the Wolfman in a position so I could not see behind me, but I''m pretty sure the three Squares sped up accordingly. Soon enough we got up a hill, and past that, was the village. Just as in flames as usual and with just as many screams echoing through the night. hm. something must have done this. A village doesn''t just set itself on flames, does it? Plus, some people here are fighting, that''s for sure! I can hear swords clashing way more often then screams! This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it I looked up at the Wolfman and heard a low ¡°Grrrrr...¡± emanating from his nearly closed mouth. Well, he was showing off some really sharp teeth as well, so im guessing... he''s more wolf than man?? welp, who knows. ¡ the body of a wolf, the mind of a man, how will this werewolf love story play out??? sorry sorry, that was a bit too far. The cart, including the three Squares, soon rolled up beside us. All three of the Squares were in shock and awe at the sight. It would seem someone noticed us, as a young girl ran up to us. Her clothes were dyed in red with blood and her face was almost petrified with fear. ¡°S-, Sn?lla! Ni m?ste hj?lpa oss!¡± I looked at the Wolfman, and we mentally sighed at the same time. The Girl seemed to have noticed us as she made a ¡°Hii¡± sound and staggered backwards. Aw gee, I''m just a Jackalope and this is just a werewolf centaur, whats the big deal?? ¡°Oroa dig inte, dessa ?r v?ra v?nner.¡± L?nn said something almost the second The Girl and I met eyes. Mrm. Kinda wish I could understand what they said, but, then again, languages are hard to learn. That''d take years! Ah, anyhow. ¡°S?, kan ni hj?lpa oss?...¡± ¡°Jad?, Jad?, s?klart. Vad beh?ver ni?¡± Oh my, it would seem the Girl and L?nn have sparked a conversation here! Welp, guess I''m not needed here... just as I was about to fly myself away, the Wolfman put a hand on my head, and then pulled it slowly back down my back. ¡ no, I cannot leave, I must stay to hear this groundbreaking conversation! However, as much as I wanted to hear the conversation, the sound of being stroked was kind of overpowering and I had no choice but to almost fall asleep right there and then. However, at some point or another, it seems L?nn awakened the both of us from our stroke-induced slumber by kind of flicking our heads at the same time. Man, I was that close to accidentally crushing her hand... and it would seem the Wolfman almost ripped her hand clean off!... we''re a dangerous lot, aren¡¯t we? ¡°?h! Innan ni, g?r?¡± ¡°Ja?¡± ¡°Sn?lla, d?da ingen, vi vill ju att de ska f? sitt r?tta straff, och d?den ?r aldrig ett straff!¡± L?nn winked and nodded to the Girl''s request. I think it was a request... possibly. Who knows. And so, we slowly advanced into the village. However, we left the cart and the horses behind. I''m sure that won''t bite us in the arse later on. The village was still in flames, and the first thing we laid eyes on was four or five grown men battling with swords. They were all drenched in blood and they looked rugged as heck. The three Squares quickly intervened by throwing themselves into the mix. ¡ wait just a second. Which ones are the enemy? They all look like regular villagers... who do we battle? Aaa, those three ran in far too quickly. The Wolfman might just have had the same thought as I, since when our eyes met, we once again, without fail, mentally sighed at the same time. Wow, we should get an award for all of these! Ho-hum, however, even though we both mentally sighed at the same time, we do still have the matter of ¡°The three Squares juped into battle head first without knowing who their enemy was¡± to deal with. hm. What to do... well, if I was stronger, id make them all float into the air simultaneously. But I''m not strong enough. Yet... so the only real solution I can see Is to do like I did in the battle with this werewolfcentaur. Steal all their weapons. Om not going to attack someone with them, of course not! The sensation of cutting someone with a spear... hearing their pain... huuuu... never again. Anyhow, I suppose, it is now that the battle truly starts. Or something. Chap. 19, Escape from the Village hm. hmm. Who is who... welp, only real way to distinguish is to ask, right? But since I cant either speak or understand what they say, I suppose... with a little twitch of the ear, both the villagers, whoever were attacking them and the three Squares weapons were floating in the air above them, out of reach. Hnng, what is, with, this, wight...!! heavyyyyyyyyyy...!! before my mind gave out under the pressure, I quickly stabbed the weapons, which really was only swords, into the rooftops. Huu, huu, huu... man that was... ah! Now, let''s see... wait, what at first, all of them were, as one could have imagined, confused. But soon everyone just kinda lunged at the three... this, uh... where are the villagers? Are none of these villagers?? then why were they battling??? perhaps... ah, wait, I don''t have time to think, the three Squares are being pummelled to heck and back! I took a glance at the Wolfman, who looked exactly as confused as I was. ¡ ok, my offensive abilities are crap, so, go! Wolfman!! I pointed my paw (PEKA MED HELA HANDEN) at the group of villagers pretty much kicking the three Squares while they''re down. Hm. Kinda feels like I heard something familiar again... eh, must be nothing. The Wolfman must have at least kind of understanding, as he walked towards the group of villagers. hm. now that I take a look, the villagers who I previously thought were hiding are actually holding... bows, uh... Safety hazard, I''m taking those! The bows almost flew out of their hands and landed, according to my amazing expertise, on the rooftops. Hohoho. Soon enough, I''m pretty sure everyone was disarmed. Thanks to me. Hehehe. Someone might just have noticed I might have been the one doing it, or something, since, well, someone charged at me. They were completely silent, an excellent sneak attack! However, one shouldn''t underestimate my excellent sense of hearing! Hohoho, I could hear you a mile coming! If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. A wall of dirt quickly rose to defend both me and possibly the Wolfman. He looked rather surprised, didn''t he also hear the attacker? hm. He should have at least smelled it, come on. A ¡°gasp¡± kind of sound came from beyond the wall. Hey, if I can throw sword all around, wouldn''t you think I could at least do something like this? Well, this wall of dirt isn''t actually that thicc, it just looks really strong. Hohoho. Soon after the gasp, a knife stabbed its way through the wall. Welp. Before whoever was holding the knife could have time to dislodge it, as it hit neither me nor the Wolfman, I grabbed it with, you guessed it, telekinesis. Man, I rely far too much on that, don''t I... aaah, I''m not really a stoic, so I suppose I don''t really have to practise their... ideals and theories... do I? Hrm. Ill just take that as a hard ¡°NO¡±. Anyhow, since whoever was beyond the Wall had no weapon and I had a knife + Werewolfcentaur, I suppose its safe to tear down the wall! Is there anybody out there? The wall quickly disintegrated into a little pile of dirt at the feet of... the Girl from earlier... hm... curious... while I was distracted by merely realizing this fact, she tried to run away. I would have tried to catch her with the dirt, but the Wolfman had already grabbed her with his frankly terrifyingly muscular arms. The Wolfman made some... uh, ¡°wolf-y noises¡±. Possibly trying to say something along the lines of ¡°where are you going, little girl?¡±. Man, if only he actually had a rugged-man-voice... the Girl looked completely and utterly confused. Just like me. ¡°S-, sl?pp mig¡± ¡°Uwowowouuuuu.¡± so... the Girl said something, probably like ¡°you''ll never get me ali-,¡±, ehem, ¡°Release me, foul beast!¡± or something, and, it would seem... the Wolfman tried, once again, to speak. Who knows what he said? I can''t even guess... then again, seeing his amazing efforts to be able to speak just like a normal person, it kinda inspired me to try as well... ¡°Hupp hupp one two one two¡± ¡ that sounded like, uh... normal speak... ¡ the Girl looked even more confused... in fact, I''m pretty sure she looks terrified. so... I probably didn''t make any sort of comprehensible English, did I? hmm, could it be, that to me, it just sounds like it sounds like that? Kind of like when you hear your recorded voice and it sounds completely terrible compared to how it sounds in your head? But... isn''t that too far-fetched? ¡ hmmm, in that case, perhaps the Wolfman just thinks he''s speaking... whatever Asian language he speaks. How strange... anyhow, we have a situation on our hands. Well, more like in our hands, well, more like in a hand, well, more like in his hand. We have a situation in his hand. That does not sound as good as my radial thinking led me to believe... anyhow, we should probably save the three Squares, before they get beaten to death. Once again, I (PEKA MED HELA HANDEN)-... p-, pointed my paw at the three Squares... I swear, every time I do that I hear something... but its far away and barely audible... weird... the Wolfman seemed to have noticed this, as he flung the girl to his back and held her in place with two of his four arms. Gosh, he has many arms... but, I guess he''ll need them all... I threw myself on top of his shoulder and secured myself with some top-notch telekinesis. At some point, I will get to level two... the Wolfman took a light step and basickly threw himself into the mix of villagers pummelling the three Squares, the villagers flying left and right. w-, whoa. I didn¡¯t realize you were amazing, Wolfman! Well, I mean, I did kind of battle you, but... the past is the past, all that truly matters is the present, so why bother? Ah, this is no time to think! Im pretty sure we could defeat all these villagers if we tried, I mean, we have the Wolfman... but killing is always wrong, even if it means we''ll allow them to continue... whatever theyre doing. Without any seeming thought, the Wolfman threw the three on his back and sprinted for the cart. Huh. Its empty. Did they... I think I might just know what this is. Perhaps, this whole village... gets travellers to help them¡±defeat¡± the attackers, and while they''re busy, they steal their cargo? Nnnnnnnn Aaaahhh, that cant be. No way. Its probably just... its probably just that, huh. Anyhow, seemingly not minding the loss of our cargo, as well as our horses, the Wolfman threw everyone on the cart, took the reins that were supposed to be holding the horses, and ran, carrying us out of the village, around the village, and beyond. It would seem... that we survived yet another day... is everyone here? Me, the Wolfman, L?nn, Bok, Ek, the Girl, wait, what Chap. 20, Happy Hallows! ¡ I think we may be one too many... the Girl in question was looking just as confused and puzzled as I was. The three Squares seem to have been knocked out or something, as they didn''t move. But since they were, in fact, laying on top of the Girl, she couldn''t move. More effective then shackles and chains, buy your very own passed-out-buff-dudes today, for only nineninetynine! Ehem. She made a few strange sounds, which I could only translate to ¡°why are you doing this to me?¡± or ¡°are you kidnapping me?¡±. Well, on another note, I''ve gotta admire the Wolfman''s stamina, he''s really running quite fast! And by quite fast, I mean he''s running at about the same speed as a car. I am really quite happy he''s not my enemy. I would be dead... soon enough the burning village was out of sight and not even the smoke could be seen. I gently bopped the Wolfmans shoulder, letting him know it was alright now. His stare was like that of a snake, eying its prey right before striking. His eyes were like fireballs, burning and seething with rage. His sharp, needle-like teeth were showing themselves as if teasing, prodding at me, telling me ¡°soon¡±. Whoa what the fuck the sight of such a terrible gaze forced my ears to peak and my hair to rise in unison. Never had I ever found myself face to face with such unhidden loathe. Yet, within his burning eyes, I found something, something staring back, something so deeply distressed I had no doubts it could only be his soul. However, I couldn''t take my time to figure it out. With merely a fling, I was no longer on him, but instead on the cart. I didn''t know what to do, but I had to stop him somehow. His legs were moving too fast, all too fast.If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. With a powerful swipe, the handles the Wolfman was holding were no longer in his grasp. The cart, at the sudden loss of a motor, rolled to a halt. The Wolfman didn''t notice the sudden lightness at first and continued sprinting, however, this soon changed. He turned around, once again showing his rage-possessed face. His four arms were stretched wide, claws like knives, ready to be brought down on whatever came in his path. That was not the Wolfman. It could not be. I may not have known him for long, but even so, I knew he was in possession of reason. He was human. This was not a human. This was a beast. A low, ominous growl rose from deep within the Wolfman''s throat, setting my teeth on edge. The Girl was behind me. It would seem she had escaped from below the pile of buff dudes, however, her stare was blank. Al-though she was looking at the incarnation of wrath itself, she did not look frightened. Not even a flinch in the face of such utter rage. I might have said I admired her, had you asked me in that moment, but now, as I look back on this moment, I simply pity her. Her arms hung loosely by the side of her body like long pieces of meat on cold, metal hooks. Her lips were ever-so-slightly parted, and from her mouth, a thick, black liquid seeped and dripped to the ground. The liquid seemed to have the consistency of blood, but it was black like the night. ¡°KchEEeeEEE!!¡± the Wolfman screeched. I would say howled, but that was not a howl. It was indeed screech, a screech from the damned souls suffering in hell. I could do nothing but stand still in the face of such unyielding hate. The Girl mumbled some incoherent lines. However, I doubt this is the same language as they usually speak. It was more elegant, light and the words seemed to flow together into a harmonious melody, in great contrast to the so usually hard and pessimistic language they usually speak. Her dry eyes were deeply fixated on those of the Wolfman. They seemed to be staring into each other''s souls, evaluating each-other as if studying bacteria with a microscope. And like that, they stood for several moments until the Girl once again chanted something with such elegance it might as well have been music. Suddenly, as if having realized what was happening, the Wolfman fell to the ground, coughing. He tried to take deep breaths, but all that could be heard was rasping and rattling. He coughed up something. A thick, red liquid fell to the ground in large blobs, splattering over the grassy grass grass. Oh, oh my... is, is he alright?... no answer. Of course not, al-though she might have seemed like it, the Girl wasn''t in her right mind either. With every breath the took and every word that fled her mouth, a trickle of a thick, black liquid fell down her eyes like tears. Soon enough her mouth was seeping with the stuff and her eyes had taken a black hue due to all the liquid that was escaping it. I didn''t notice it at the time. I was preoccupied with the Wolfman, still puking and coughing and suffering. The Wolfman stared at me. His eyes filled with rage were soon switched with a pair of eyes filled with guilt and regret. He may not have done anything, but he did threaten this whole operation. I slowly inched closer. He flinched at my movements but made no attempt at escape or attack. His gaze was interlocked with mine, but for one reason or another, it wandered over to my side and fixated itself on the Girl. Noticing this, I looked behind me as well. Her body had turned dark as the night. Her hair, eyes, body, everything was black. She was covered head to toe in a black liquid. The liquid coiled itself around her body like snakes, but as if not even noticing this, the Girl stood still. On her lips surfaced a slight smile. Who was she?... Consider this dropped Alrighty, alrighty. as I no longer find writing this to be a fun little project but instead something I HAVE to do, I shall promptly drop it. Sorry to those who actually liked this thing, it''s just not fun anymore. Sorry. Hm. Now as I try to release this, it would seem that a chapter must have more than 500 characters. how strange. no matter, i shall just do a quick brainstorm. who knows, I might just get an idea you may like. when god closes a door, he opens a window, was it? well, if I was in this metaphor I would most likely hop out the window. or is it into? its rather hard with these kinds of things... anyhow, no matter. let''s do three.Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation. What about a collection of short spooky stories updated irregularly? I do have some talent when it comes to spooky, despite how shitty the last chapter was. What about another isekai story, focused on some other strange invertion? what this invertion should be I don''t know. just something or another would be fine, such as many souls one body or summoned heroes. urk. What about a story about someone constantly committing a taboo, focused on their inner thoughts and how others react when they realize they were, in fact, commiting the taboos. what kind of taboo? might be anything. might be a god eating food and acting as a human, might be some dude going about killing, might be a girl strolling around with rape in mind and body. who knows. And that should do that. ill just pot in a poll here in case someone was interested. Urk. Have a nice day, and once again, Sorry. What Would Have Happened? alright, so. that last spoopy chapter? totally not canon. I just wanted to make something spoopy but failed, so, yeah. it no longer exists. anyhow. step one. they would have passed everything out in the countryside and finally gotten to a rather large city. this city would be mostly in the classic medieval style but would have some things our dear main character recognized as rather modern. after a while of going about and fawning at the sights, they would eventually get a translator. whoop-tie-whoo. who was the translator? a Swedish weeb, of course. come on. alright, so he basically translates between everybody (although the Wolfman has to write since, well, wolf mouth. duh.) and they finally get to have somewhat of a conversation. in this, it would be revealed that the three Squares were actually ALSO reincarnated, only together as tripplings or whatever. due to their friendship in their last life, they became adventurers as one could expect. our dear main character would be surprised at this, and consequentially ask the translator if he was reincarnated, which he was. as stated, he was a huge swedish fucking weeb who was fluid in Swedish, English, Japanese and could speak a lick of German. whoop-die-doo. stuff happens, yada yada, our dear main character gets better at telekinesis, yada yada, as the city was ravished by dispute and terrible leaders the three Squares hold a revolution, yada yada, the power in the city shifts, yada yada, they need a way to hold the city together under the rule of the three Squares (this was an old Greek way of ruling countries, having three people making decisions, this way it would be voting and stuff) so our dear main character once again takes the role of villain, yada yada, destroys a whole bunch of shit, yada yada, the three Squares make it seem like they banished our dear main character with the power of comradeship n stuff, yada yada. If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. our dear main character''s horns grow even more and he becomes entirely white. yada yada powers of teleportation yada yada. bunch of stuff happens, our dear main character finds out the worlds most prominent religion is the Brother religion, where the "god" can communicate with the people and depend on how he calls them (brother, bro, brah) the more he likes them. they believe he is the god of reincarnation. which he is not. Brother is simply a being not unlike us. although, indeed, he is the one who reincarnated people, he is not omnipotent or omniscient. thus, he is no god. heck, the world itself is strange. everything is a reincarnation. ever read "reincarnated as a weed"? or "reincarnated as a rock"? yeah. however, most things lose their memories and emotions and all that, leaving only the self. this way I would have introduced all kinds of reincarnated people such as plants, classroom reincarnations, summoned heroes (although I did introduce them already) and stuff. eventually, our dear main character would become a god on the level of Brother. through this, he becomes the god of motion, time and energy. why these three? well, motion, time and energy are all deeply intertwined with each other, so. yeah. don''t really know exactly how it would have ended, but I had a few ideas. whatever. it''s all over now anyway. erk. fuck it, another poll. and once again. Sorry. Its Out or whatever alright. so, after checking the poll results, and with some imagination, I concluded that indeed, Taboo Commitment was the way to go. I''ve done one too many Isekai stories lately... as such, I''ve decided to write a more serious fiction called "The Games We Play", which is/will be about two identical twins who, unbeknownst to the other, plays a little game on the other. if you want more information or something, please, do PM. I''m always open and I always respond. welp, even though i say this, I will most likely not get any of the fabled PMs I so request, as most people just don''t bother. welp. whatever. your life, your choices. Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions. anyhow, the story I alluded to earlier is only on its first chapter, and although I do wish to continue it, I don''t really know which way to go. oh boi oh man, it sure would be nice to have someone as ballplank! (call me ;^)) aaaaa, anyhow, im off. hope you enjoy your life as much as i enjoy mine. hopefully ill get another chapter of The Games We Play out today, but you never know. see ya.
