《Jezoi》
Chapter 01 - A not so usual death.
Marc was a student all the more classical. A loving and loved girlfriend, good grades on his pharmaceutical studies and enough money to live comfortably thanks to his parents.
Everything was fine in Marc¡¯s life. The afternoon classes were canceled, and he decided to go to the florist before going back to the apartment he shared with his girlfriend. He wanted to surprise her.
He arrived at home and entered the apartment where the music comes from, the sound was too loud for him to be able to hear anything. The room was badly lighted, the lights were off and the curtains are closed, there was just enough light to avoid stumbling on the furniture.
Marc turned the lights on and discovered a spectacle that he will never be able to forget. His girlfriend, the woman he loved, the one he had planned to propose next week, for their three years anniversary. Sophie, the one with whom he wished to live his entire life with, have children, a house, and even pets.
That woman was right here breast naked on top of the sofa, frozen in her slow movement. A surprised look on her face, two masculine hands massaging her nipples. Hands that were not those of her boyfriend. Hands with a lion¡¯s tattoo. A tattoo Marc knew very well, it was the one of his little brother.
Suddenly the man straightened up to look what happens. He saw Marc, understanding immediately what was going on and barely dodging his brother¡¯s backpack. Sophie received the roses right in the face just a second before.
Marc turned around and ran out of the apartment, he hurtled down the stairs nearly falling multiple times. He burst on the street and ran again, he didn¡¯t know where he was going, but he was going with all his might.
At the end of the day, Marc came back to his senses and stopped walking. It¡¯s been a while he had stopped running, his body screaming at him to slow the pace. Looking around him he saw that he was at the opposite side of the town, a district he didn¡¯t know well, he traveled here without realizing it, his body moving automatically along the streets.
He spotted a little further a small shop and went in to buy three bottles of cheap alcohol.
He resumed his motion with the bottles in their paper bags, now he knew where he was going. He followed the road signs to a nearby park, planning to drink his freshly bought alcohol there.
Marc had never been a good drinker, but tonight he succeeded in drinking two bottles of strong and cheap alcohol in half an hour. While he opened the third one, a natural need forces him to move toward a bush at the end of the park. He put down the bottle, miraculously managing to put it upright and go on with his business.
When he went picking up the bottle he stumbled on his feet and fell face forward. His left eye went right on the bottleneck. In his state, he was unable to react in time and embedded the bottle in his skull. He died fast and, thanks to the alcohol, almost without pain.
When he opened his eyes, Marc found himself in a room without walls, roof or floor, just a plain white void. Turning around he saw a wooden desk and two chairs, one on each side of the desk. The desk was extremely well organized. Marc was standing in the void on the visitor side of the desk.
¡®Am I dead? Yeah, I think I am. It¡¯s strange, I don¡¯t feel afraid or anything, just a big and peaceful calm. I don¡¯t feel angry or sad anymore, nor do I feel excited or frightened by the situation.¡¯
Suddenly and out of nowhere a strange looking man appeared on the other chair and started going through the file on the desk, Marc saw nothing but some white pages.
The stranger was tall and very thin, almost skinny. He was wearing a black costume with a white shirt and a black bowtie. To be blunt, he was like an undertaker straight out of a cartoon.
¡°Hello, Mr. Tupor. I am Arnold, the agent in charge of your transfer to the world of Jezoi. You probably have a lot of questions, and I am here to answer some of them. But before anything let me address to you my most sincere condolences.¡±
¡°Well¡ thanks. But can you expl-¡±
¡°Before letting you ask all your questions, I will explain to you why you are here and what is going to happen from now on.
You are dead, and not a clean death at that. Whatever, your file drew the attention of one of the Jezoi¡¯s God. Jezoi is a world different from Earth, as you could guess. This God has chosen you to be his Champion for the next Gods¡¯ Game. This is an event where the Gods of Jezoi compete against each other with their Champions, and you have been chosen to be one of them.
This is a great honor and an inestimable chance to live a new life on another world. The God who chose you is a minor god whom domain cover medicines and poisons. Your new goal in life shall now be to win the competition for your God.
Before sending you to Jezoi, you will have some choices to do. But ahead of that, know that Jezoi is a world of heroes, might, and magic. This world looks a lot like the world you can see in the games and stories of Earth, with elves, dwarves, orcs, and others. The most important to know is that there is a system which works really like a video game, if you repeat enough an action, you may obtain a Skill Tree and if you get enough experience, you will gain levels and power.
Now, you may ask your questions.¡±
All the speech of the man was on a soporific and monotone voice, preventing Marc to completely concentrating on it, even if the content seemed extremely important for him.
¡°A game? I¡¯ll be sent to a weird world that¡¯s like a video game? To participate in a competition between gods?¡±
¡°That is correct Mr. Tupor.¡±
If he wasn¡¯t already convinced to be dead, Marc would have sworn he was hallucinating because of the alcohol. Or sleeping. Or maybe both.
¡°And I¡¯ve been chosen by a god to take part in this?¡±
¡°By Meintcue to be accurate. A minor divinity maybe, but a God of medicines and poisons nonetheless. He chose you for your experience in pharmaceutical school and your first-hand experience to being bitten by poisonous insects and animals.¡±
¡®Seriously? My malediction of being bitten by every spider, mosquito, snake and the like bring on me the attention of a god to participate in a weird game in a weird world.¡¯
¡°And I¡¯ll have to affront other people chosen by other gods?¡±
¡°Indeed¡±
¡°Why?¡±
¡°Why what Mr. Tupor?¡±
¡°Why this game?¡±
¡°Well it seems like the Gods are bored and this game amuses them greatly.¡±
¡°So, I will have to battle people that have done absolutely nothing to me and to whom I didn¡¯t do anything either?¡±
¡°That is exactly it.¡±
¡°I¡¯m forced to play? How do I win?¡±
¡°You are forced to play yes, simply living there is playing. But you are not enticed to attempt to win. It would be for the best, but nothing forces you to. The victory conditions will be announced to all Champions once the last of you will be sent to Jezoi.¡±
¡°And on this world, I¡¯ll have access to magic and other unnatural stuff?¡±Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel.
¡°It will depend on the choices you will make during the next step of your transfer, but yes. Next step that is about to begin.¡±
¡°Already? Do you have an advice before something strange happens to me?¡±
¡°Think well before deciding your options. A good choice could be to choose a skill that could bring you an external help.¡±
¡°Thanks.¡±
¡°It is nothing Mr. Tupor. Good luck in your new life and remember to check your status first thing there.¡±
At the exact moment Arnold spoke his last word, everything turned black. Marc felt like he was floating in the air, he couldn¡¯t see a thing, nor could he hear something else than his blood in his ears, and the only thing he felt were his clothes on his skin, there was absolutely no air movements here or temperature change.
He started to believe he was truly dead. But a clear blue panel popped in front of his eyes, wherever he looked the screen stayed in the middle of his sight.

What is that now? The content of the blue screen were words written in an alphabet unknown of Mark, but strangely he was able to read them.

Hello,
You have been chosen as Meintcue¡¯s Champion, God of medicines and poisons, thanks to that you dispose of 1,000 skill points. The skills Purge and Poison creation have been granted to you.
Now please use your skill points so you can be sent to Jezoi.

Skills and skill points. Arnold told me it was a game-like world, I suppose this is the character creation now.

It was a lot of choices for Marc, he didn¡¯t know the majority of them. Of course, he knows what humans, orcs, dwarves, goblins, elves, and hobbits were, he had seen the LOTR movies. The angelics, demonics, draconics, and half-bloods were easy to understand by the names. He had already heard of kobolds but didn¡¯t know what they were like, the others, he didn¡¯t have a clue.
Marc didn¡¯t want to choose something he didn¡¯t know anything about, or who have a bad reputation, at least in the stories and games he knew of. He also would like to keep some points for the next steps. So he chose security and something he already knew well, he went for a human.

The first choices presented to Marc seemed perfectly normal to him as a human champion of a god of medicines and poisons. Those choices were the costlier and they had a plus sign in their name, like if they were an advanced version of the normal Skill Tree. It seems logical to him that he already possessed the normal version of them.
The two other choices weren¡¯t as interesting in his mind, he had already decided to go as a doctor or a pharmacist for his cover, and to use the poison aspect of his god only in secret and if necessary. So even if the Nature and Corruption Skill Trees were tempting, Marc chose to keep his points for the last step.

Seeing those new blue boxes and the choices they displayed, Marc was glad to have guess right. He indeed already had the Human, Champion, Medicine and Poison Skill Trees. He could have open an other but now he was going to choose his skills. He wouldn¡¯t have a lot of point for that if he had taken an another Skill Tree.
Like for the previous choices, no explanations were given to better understand the options. Marc would have to guess only with the name of the skills.
Not knowing what kind of places he would arrive on Jezoi and fearing to be alone, Marc chose the Familiar Skill, with luck he could even get a useful familiar who could teach him about this new world. Arnold had even advised this kind of skill to him. He also chose the Extradimensional inventory Skill. He could stock there all kind of useful things without the need to carry them around, like a magic backpack.
Remembering his decision to pose as a doctor or a pharmacist, partly because it would look nicer than being a poisoner, he choose the Heal Skill. That way he hoped he could heal himself and others, with some kind of magic.
With his last points, he chose the Poison and Disease resistance Skills. He already confirmed that a plus sign in the name was because he already had it, at least for the Skill Trees. So he passed on the Linguistic + Skill.
He thought that the fact the poison one was half the price of the disease one was because it was in two skill tree at the same time, he would have to ascertain his hypothesis latter.

The being creation is completed.
Congratulation!
You will now be transferred on Jezoi, please wait during the operation.

And once again Marc found himself in a complete darkness.
Chapter 02 - A surprise at the arrival.
Marc was temporarily blinded by the white light. It chased the darkness before letting the daylight in its place.
He was in a small clearing inside a thick forest. In the middle of the clearing there was a circle of burned grass and some strange symbols. At the center of the circle were a lozenge with some minimalist pictures, a frog, a scorpion, a mushroom and a fruit. Right between those was Marc, completely naked, like he was summoned there out of thin air.
After a small minute spent remembering the last events and observing his surroundings, the second advice of Arnold came back to his mind. But how do I do that? Summoning my status, do I yell it out loud or move my hands? Let¡¯s try to call them.
¡°Status?!¡±
Slightly surprised by his hoarse voice, Marc saw popping in front of his eyes the same kind of blue box that before arriving on Jezoi:

Meintcue¡¯s Champion
|
That was a lot of information on himself to process. The most surprising for him was the fact that being a champion was considered a race, like being a human.
In his characteristics were some classical things, even for a casual gamer like him and other very surprising, like the abstraction or sagacity characteristics. Did the fact that his characteristics were around the hundred means that it was the human standard or was he strongly buffed by the fact he was a champion? At what speed could they ascend and to what height? Those were some of the questions Marc had in mind looking at that section of his status.
In the part about his Skills, he found they had levels. ¡®What could be the difference between a level two Skill and a Skill with a plus sign in his name?¡¯ So many questions and no one to answer them.
Remembering he could summon a familiar he concentrated on the Skill, with some luck he would shortly have some answers. A window popped up as he focused his mind on it.
|
Lesser familiar summoning:
|
|
Thanks to the presence of multiple Skill Trees in the summoner status, multiple options will be displayed.
|
|
Follet
|
Cat
|
|
Fairy
|
Dog
|
|
White fairy
|
Pink slime
|
|
Pixie
|
Bolete
|
Eight choices were possible for Marc, he thought about the advantages and inconvenients of each of them.
The left column had the names of creatures he had heard of, all were some type of fairy, so they could probably talk. Having a lot of questions to ask he would probably choose one of them. The follet was the one he knew the less about and the pixies were often some kind of prankster, but he had no real idea of how the fairies acted on this world.
The right column had some other type of creatures, the two at the top were simple animals, that couldn¡¯t talk but were obviously the more suitable choice for someone looking for a simple life, as everybody could have a cat or a dog as a pet. The third was a classical monster of rpg games, a slime, but a pink one. Whatever that distinction was, Marc didn¡¯t want a pink slime as a familiar.
The last entry was the most surprising, a bolete. How could a mushroom prove himself useful in any circumstances despite a one of starvation? ¡®Can it even move? I¡¯ll be even more ridiculous with that than with a pink slime.¡¯
His mind completely focused on the choice of a familiar and most particularly on the useless mushroom, Marc did not hear the strange sounds coming from the edge of the clearing. He didn¡¯t see either the small pebble that hit him on the side of his head, he only felt the pain and saw his vision blurred before losing consciousness.
The following blue boxes were never seen bay Marc.
|
Selected familiar: Bolete
Do you confirm that choice?
Yes/No
10 seconds before automatic acceptance.
|
|
Lesser familiar summoning completed.
Congratulation, your familiar had been successfully summoned.
|
It was in a small and cold room that Marc woke up. Around him were only stone walls, one of them had a wooden door on the side and on that door was a little grate with strong steel bars. On the wall on the other side was a small skylight, with its own grille. From there came a small light which allowed Marc to see his one and a half by two meters cell.
There was no bed and not even straw to sleep on and he had nothing to use to release himself, except a third grille on the floor, if he found the courage to use it.
Quickly realizing he was trapped there and couldn¡¯t do anything else than wait for something to happen and improvise from there, he decided to go through his status again. Doing so he remarked that is Familiar Skill was at 12.5% of experience, meanings the tentative summoning he had done wasn¡¯t totally useless. The Skill even seemed to grow fast, there were also a new section after the titles one.

So¡ he did complete the summoning, but he summoned a fucking mushroom! That was it for the help he could have hoped from his familiar. Having nothing else to do Marc decided to summon it and look if it could be useful in a way or another.
A little purple sparkle appeared out of nowhere, it then grew until it was about fifty centimeters big and began to take the shape of a mushroom. With a ¡°pop¡± sound the light disappeared and instead was a big mushroom, half a meter tall, with a brown cap and a white stalk.
Suddenly the mushroom lifted up his cap and Marc saw that it had two little eyes, a mouth smiling at him and a pair of tiny little feet allowing him to walk and come closer to Marc to cuddle him. Marc was taken aback, it was the first living creature he saw there and it was very friendly and very weird. Those who had taken him there didn¡¯t count, he didn¡¯t see them.
¡°Well, you need a name right? So how will I name you? Mushy? Mushmush? No they are stupid names. Boletor? Even more stupid. What do you think of Paulet? He was a scientist on my world and studied mushrooms.¡±
¡°Squeaak!¡± reply the bolete cuddling harder against Marc, as if it liked the name.
|
Congratulations!
You just named a familiar, and it accepted it, by doing so you have deeply bounded with it and it will be more powerful and loyal to you.
|
Those were good news, if his useless familiar could become a little less useless it would be for the better. And he saw nowhere that he was limited to only one, he¡¯ll make sure to do a better choice if he had another opportunity to summon one. But for the moment he would use Paulet as a Teddy-mushroom in his cold cell.
__________
Gron was unhappy. Gron had to go wake the new slave. Why did Gron had to do it?
The chieftain liked the human. She wanted to speak with him.
Like if a human could have something interesting to say. They were cowards and weaks. Always using unfair moves in combat.
Humans were only good as slaves or food. And sometimes toys. But that was part of the slave and/or food things.
Gron went down in the castle. It was a castle that they had taken some weeks ago to some human bandits.
Gron arrived to the new human¡¯s cell and opened the door.
The human was sleeping and hugging a mushroom. Strange. Grom had killed one exactly like it after they had captured the human. Where did the human found it?
Not important.
Gron kicked the human in the leg. The human woke up with a scream. Nice.
¡°Get up human!¡± Gron said.
The human did something stupid. He attacked Gron. The mushroom did it too.
Grom punched the human in the face. The human fell to the ground, knocked out. And Gron kicked the mushroom of his leg. He killed it after. Gron was strong.
Gron picked the human and went to the throne room.
Gron didn¡¯t see the mushroom¡¯s corp vanish in the air with a faint purple glow.
When Marc woke up again, he was in a worse situation than the previous one. He was tied to a wooden device he couldn¡¯t see in a room full of people. Well people was a discutable term, they were green, tall, bulky and ugly. Most of them were bald. They obviously were orcs, like in the games and stories. The fact he was in a fantasy world was strongly getting down on Marc now.
They were fiercely arguing with each others. But Marc couldn¡¯t get why, as they were talking in a language he didn¡¯t knew. But he managed to see in the center of the gathering what they were looking at. It was a fight.
The fight was between two orcs, or it seemed so. One was a really big one, looking much stronger than the orcs around. He had a lot of tiny little scratches and was fighting with a crude big sword using it with his two hands, and wearing nothing else than leather pants. It looked like he had the upper hand.
The other fighter was a woman, just a bit smaller than every orc there. But Marc couldn¡¯t guess if she was smaller or taller than him, he was in a strange posture and his senses were twisted. She looked almost human, with a delicate face, with smaller tusks than the others orcs, but a much darker skin, almost black. Her left arm was hanging at her side, visibly broken, and in her right hand was a broken blade. She was wearing leather pants and a leather coat with a small piece of chainmail on top of it. It seemed she was going to lose the duel.
Suddenly the big orc attacked with a roar. Aiming at the left side of his opponent, he was clearly trying to take advantage of her injury.
But she dodged, getting under his blade, moving fast under his arms and stroking him in the opening he had left.
She cut deep in the armpit, getting behind him in the same move. Then she jumped before he could turn around and she struck his neck with a lot of strength, sticking the broken blade in the bones.
The big orc fall dead on the ground, and the assembly cheered loudly. The female orc put her foot on his head to get the strength to remove the shattered sword. She then looked right at Marc making him shudder. She had bloodlust on her smiling face.
¡°You, you¡¯ll be my new personal slave, and I¡¯ll have a lot of fun with you.¡± She talked, but he didn¡¯t understand a word. Coming closer to him, she ran her hand across his body, like if she was examining a horse, making him aware of his complete nudity. Marc was truly uncomfortable with this situation, having never been interested in exhibitionism or masochism.
After closely examining her prisoner the female orc giggled a bit and went to sit on the throne, attending to rule the orcs there. During the evening Marc was sent away.
¡°Will you really use this human as a sexe slave, Lagakh?¡±
¡°Yes, I plan to ride him until he die. Do you plan to challenge me too, Magra? You may be our shaman, but I won¡¯t hesitate to kill you if you defy me.¡±
Magra backed away, he didn¡¯t want to end the same way that Ogrumbu did. He was smart enough to see that Lagakh was a better fighter than any other orc in the vicinity, mostly thanks to her ascendant. She was a half-blood of black orc and something else he didn¡¯t know, giving her a lot of advantages and the strength to subdue those stupid orcs. Add to this, only Ogrumbu and his insane strength could have been dumb enough to challenge her.
As a shaman, he was able to use magic and had a lot less time to physically train. And even with his magical ability he wouldn¡¯t bet on his victory against Lagakh. He decided to follow her and use her to become one of the strongest shaman of the orc tribes, planning to gather a lot of magical material to experiment and grinding power.
Chapter 03 - A poisoned slave.
Of what he understood, Marc was going to be a sex toy for the crazy orc woman that led the other orcs. But before that, he would have to be a useful slave in the kitchen.
He was actually chained to a big cauldron, wearing nothing else than a dirty apron and a strange leather and metal collar.
A tall and very fat orc had given him a long wooden spoon after he had been brought to the cauldron, and he showed him what to do. It was very simple, he had to turn the mixture, again, and again, and again, simple and very boring.
When this orc gave him the order, Marc understood the meaning of it despite not knowing the words. A strange sensation coming from his neck started to make him strangely aware of the collar. The sensation started to itch, then became painful. It stopped only when Marc started to stir the stew, and it came back each time he tried to take a break. Marc understood that this collar was made to force him to obey orders and help him to understand them.
But Marc had a card to play, he had a Skill that he could use in this situation for getting rid of the orcs. But before poisoning the potage, he had to be certain to not be seen. Another easy task, the fat cook often looked away to prepare some other food.
At the beginning he found the meat quite appetizing, he had eat nothing since his arrival on Jezoi. But, a moment after, he saw the cook go on another room, and coming back quickly with a human leg. The cook then started to prepare the human meat. Marc began frantically pouring poison in the stew, all he could put actualy, thanks to his Poison creation Skill. He also hoped that if he would not have to eat some of this, poisonous meal cleanse or not, it was still a human stew.
During the afternoon, he poured so much poison in the mixture that his Poison creation Skill went up by two levels, supposedly making it more potent. He received notifications when those level up happened, surprising him a little for the first one.
|
Skill Poison creation had level up!
The poison you can create out of nowhere is now stronger and will do more damage. Keep poisoning your fellows and become a nasty Poison master!
|
The last sentence of the notifications was a bit strange, but Marc was not in a mood to care about some weird things, he had to concentrate on pouring as much poison as he could in the orcs¡¯ food.
There was a moment Marc had the opportunity to steal a knife in the kitchen and store it away thanks to his Extradimensional inventory Skill. Even if his first plan didn¡¯t work out, he would have a weapon he could use in case of emergencies. He wondered if he could put the slavery collar in it to and free himself of it, if he couldn¡¯t he would have to find a way to remove it later. Marc couldn¡¯t test it now, he didn¡¯t want to risk being seen by the orc cook without it. He could probably kill Marc in one blow with his cleaver.
Marc was also tired, but he didn¡¯t knew if that was solely due to turning the big spoon in the thick stew, or if using his Poison creation Skill so much had tired him quicker.
__________
Ugdumph was glad to have a new slave helping him in the kitchen.
He could use him to stir the stew while himself would prepare more tasteful dishes, such as roasted meat. The last one has been executed when Lagakh had had enough of him, and the previous ones had already been eaten.
Of course the good meat was for the chieftain and the shaman, but he would keep a little bit for himself. Every cook was doing this. It was normal and if someone complained, they would have lesser quality food for all the warrior. That would teach the fucker to treat the cooks with more respect. It was tradition.
Anyway, having a slave taking care of the most boring stuff was good, Ugdumph even decided to put a little aromates and more meat in it to thank the warriors for the gift. He new that the slave would be used as a toy by Lagakh. But he would use it as much as he could before the chieftain decided she was bored with him, and made him help in a different kind of way in the kitchen.
Well, it was time, Ugdumph tasted the stew before bringing it to the hall for the dinner. It had a strange taste, but it was a good one, thanks to the herbs and the supplementary meat in it. He was pleased with his preparation.
Once in the hall he served everyone the stew, and the roasted meat only to Lagakh and Magra. The warriors argued more than usual for the leftovers. They had found the meal pleasantly spicy.
__________
Marc was alone in the kitchen, with a plate of stew in his hand. He used Purge on it before throwing it away, he was not hungry enough to forget about the content of the stew. He instead reach for the raw potatoes that were still by the cauldron. They weren¡¯t good, but they were food, and not human meat.
He ate in silence, waiting for something telling him that his plan was successful, but nothing came.
After a while the orc cook came back with an empty cauldron and a big smile on his face. Allowing Marc to understand his plan had been an echec. He would have to do it again, but this time his poison would be more potent.
__________
Gron was still unhappy.
Again he had to lead the human. And even worse. This time, Gron had to lead him to the chief bedroom.
Gron would love to be allowed in her room, in place of the human. Gron would make her scream with pleasure. Gron would not be a toy.
All those humans were good at was to scream in pain while she tried to enjoy them. Gron didn¡¯t understand why the chef didn¡¯t take a true warrior in her room.
But Gron had a job to do.
Gron looked at the human who was pitifully walking behind him.
¡°You are weak. The chef will make you scream in pain. In three day, you die. After, maybe Gron have the chance to make her scream in joy.¡±
The human looked briefly at Gron. And then his eyes went back to his feet.
¡°Coward.¡±
Gron was in front of the chef room. Gron knock on it. The chef call and Gron let the human go in. Gron waited in the corridor. Even if Gron couldn¡¯t enjoy Lagakh for himself, Gron would enjoy the screaming of the human.
Lagakh wasn¡¯t really pleased by her new toy. She had used him only an hour before going to sleep and he was not cooperative in her games. He didn¡¯t even struggle giving her a feeling of contentment in forcing him to cum.
No the human juste stayed there. Active only if she was giving him the order to do so, thanks to the collar.
She would have to teach the human to enjoy the night with her, or else he would become food for the warrior. It would be difficult to do it, as he didn¡¯t understand her when she spoke lavarian.
But for now, she would have to face her nightmares, and the memories of her childhood.
When Marc woke up it was due to a punch in his stomach. He was then send back by the same orc who had guided him before to the kitchen. The guide orc looked like he was having the worst hangover of his life.If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
At the first occasion, Marc used his healing Skill to treat the wounds of the last evening. He didn¡¯t want to keep the marks Lagakh left on him. It was also very painful to walk.
Arriving at the Kitchen Marc saw that the cook also looked like he had had a really bad night. Concluding that his poison was the cause of that, Marc quickly start to prepare a new dish in the cauldron with whatever he could fine. Of course he spiced it with his poison, leveling it once more in the process.
When the cook took the stew from him, Marc ate a little of it. After using his Purge Skill on it, of course. Feeling better he resumed his plan of the previous night. Soon after come a notification allowing Marc to know that his plan was taking effect this time.

You have leveled up!
You have gained two free stat points, two intellectual stat points and one Skill point.
Killing foes is the surest way of gaining experience, go on and kill as much as you want.
|
Anyway, he had to move on with the plan.
He succeeded in putting the slavery collar in his inventory, he would keep it, having a mean idea. But he failed to do so with the shackle and the chain locking him to the cauldron. He used a big fork to try lockpicking the shackle, but didn¡¯t know how to do it, he then tried to hammer it with everything he could get his hand on in the kitchen.
After a bit of time and a lot of stressful noises he managed to break the chain and stored away the part still locked on him.
He had went up to level five during the process. Looking quickly at his status he saw he was at 89% of the next level, it will be quick to get to level six and obtain more stat point to upgrade his surviving chance. He also saw that his Poison resistance Skill had gain a little bit of experience, he must not have completely cleansed his stew before eating it.
He got up, put all of the knives he could in his storage, discovering that his Extradimensional inventory had a volume limit and that every time he put something in it or take it out, he would get a bit of experience. He was still glad with his cutlery collection, keeping only it and the slavery collar in his storage, he took in his hands the biggest knives he could find and went to the room where all the orcs were dying. He had to make sure all of them were dead if he wanted to run away without them pursuing him.
He also summoned Paulet, hoping it could serve as a decoy or a scout.
And it worked, Paulet, who was walking in front in the corridor stopped and squealed to warn him that someone was coming. Marc readied himself to take a life directly with his hands.
He saw the fat cook stumbling in the direction of the kitchen and Marc leaped at him to slash open his neck. He managed to do it but not without taking a strong punch in the stomach.
|
You have leveled up!
You have gained two free stat points, two physical stat points and one Skill point.
Killing foes is the surest way of gaining experience, go on and kill as much as you want.
|
The death of the cook allow him to level up again and he used his Heal Skill to make sure he wasn¡¯t truly hurt. This time, the level gave him physical stat points instead of intellectual ones, he would have to find a way to understand the systeme later, particularly how to allocate the stat points. It didn¡¯t work to simply think of it when looking at his status, like he was using his Skills.
Looking at the dead orc, he noticed a little bruise on the legs, and that Paulet was just at the same high. Did the little mushroom head-butted the orc? Good, he could try to fight. Even if it was a bit to weak to be a powerful ally there. Well, Marc wasn¡¯t really powerfull himself anyway, so any help would be appreciated.
Getting back on track Marc walked through the corridor to the room were the cook come from.
There he saw a lot of orcs laying on the ground and only two of them still moving. The female orc and a weak looking one with light leather clothes and a lot of necklaces. The second one was taking care of the female and neither of them were looking in his direction.
Marc took advantage of the situation and sneaked closer to them, taking Paulet in one of his hand. But they heard him before he could go through half the room.
He launched Paulet at them and charged after it to stab them, rearming himself out of his Extradimensional inventory Skill.
The Paulet flight take them by surprise and it manage to send the female on the ground. While she was trying to get up, Paulet hitted her as much as he could, with his caped head.
Marc threw himself at the other orc and succeeded at stabbing him in the arm with his left knife. The both of them fell on the ground, luckily Marc was on top.
He stabbed the orc again, and again, with both his knives until a new notification popped in front of him, telling him he had leveled up again, confirming the kill, as far as Marc knew.
He then stood up and looked at the female orc. She was also standing up, with the lifeless corpse of Paulet on her blade. The mushroom had given enough time to Marc to kill one of the orc. Impressive coming from a small and soft thing like that.
They looked at each other with hatred. When the familiar disappeared with a little purple glow they jumped at each others throat.
Marc was inexperienced in fighting. But his opponent was greatly weakened by his poison and was still a bit shocked to have had a big mushroom thrown at her face.
__________
Lagakh was a really good fighter.
She managed to land a few good hits on the puny human in front of her, but every time he was managing to partly heal himself with some kind of magic. Preventing him to quickly bleed to death.
The humans¡¯ blades were gleaming with purple reflections of light, showing poison flowing on them. Each time she managed to knock them off his hands he summoned another ones from thin air. He even throw a few at her at a point.
She had to be extra careful with this fight. Every good, but almost useless, hit she had managed to land was rewarded with a small poisonous cut on her arms. It was sapping away her already depleted strength quicker than the usage of his magic seemed to tire the human.
__________
The fight was really taxing for Marc. He never had a real fight on Earth, just some light bar fights with some rude guys molesting his girlfriend. Well, his ex-girlfriend. And he lost almost all of them.
He was barely able to dodge blows and return some. His apron wasn¡¯t a good armor, he had to thank his poison for weakening the female orc warrior. But he would not keep the advantage long.
He had a plan. A plan he had to quickly executed.
During the fight, he summoned Paulet back, receiving a big hit in the process. But the little buddy was here, ready to take action.
And it was now.
Just as the orc extended herself to strike at Marc, Paulet jumped in her legs, making her stumble and fall on the ground. Marc quickly jumped on her back, took the slavery collar out of his inventory and passed it on her neck.
¡°Don¡¯t move!¡± Marc screamed at the female orc while jumping away from her.
She took a few steps then started showing the effect of the collar. She was visibly fighting the pain it was inflecting to her. She wanted to go forward and kill Marc.
¡°Stand still!¡± Marc yelled at her.
Refusing to obey, she fell on her knees with a painful roar and looked at him with pure hatred in her eyes. Trying to throw her blade at him she fell unconscious on the ground, the pain making her pass out.
Smirking at his painful victory Marc quickly healed himself.
Not wanting his new bodyguard to die before starting her job, Marc healed her and purged her of his poison. He then proceeded to tie her up on the wooden device he was presented to her earlier.
He also make sure that every other orcs were dead by slicing their throat. He gaining a bit of experience doing so, proving that they had not all succumbed to his poison. In his eyes they were bloody murderers and monsters so he didn¡¯t feel a lot of guilt murdering them like that. After all he was fighting for his life, if they survived they would come for him.
After that he decided to strip the female orc completely, as a mean and small form of revenge. He saw in the daylight that she had a truly beautiful body, he didn¡¯t really had the opportunity to look at her during the night, he had a blindfold.
She was tall, taller than him, he was 1m87 tall, meaning she would be a really tall woman if she was human, but for an orc he had no idea, she was the only female in the group. Her skin was soft, except on the numerous scars. It had a dark green color that was strange for him, but it was emphasizing the curves of her body. Curves from her ripped muscles but also from her nice small breasts and well shaped and toned butt. She had a lot of scars, especially on her back, like if she had been flogged a lot of time.
Her face looked peaceful while she was out, they were no trace of hatred or bloodlust, it was almost charming and would certainly be has beautiful as her body with a nice smile on it. But Marc doubted he could ever see one of those. The tusks she had, even if small, gave her a ferocious smile, even in this condition. She also had short and completely black hair, and her eyes were as black as ink.
Strangely, she didn¡¯t had hairs outside of the pubic zone. No hairs on the legs or on the arms. ¡®Does she shave?¡¯
Marc could have grown fond of her if he didn¡¯t remember the hatred and bloodlust in her eyes earlier, and the killing intent there was during there fight. Oh, and also what she had done to his rear.
After making sure there was no one else alive in the building, he replenished his arsenal with better weapons and found some orcs approximately of his stature to take their clothes and armors. He now had a full body leather armor and a chainmail shirt on top of it. Marc sat on the room where he had installed the tied up female orc. He had moved her out of the room with all the dead bodies, to her own bedroom.
¡°Paulet, keep watch while I sleep, and wake me if something happens. You did a great job during the fight, thanks.¡± Recognizing the utility of his familiar Marc fell asleep on the bed letting all the build in stress out.
"Squeak." Said Paulet, locking his eyes on its master''s prisoner.
Chapter 03.5 - A special night.
When Lagakh opened the door, she saw that the stupid Gron had lead the human to her. He was still wearing the apron he used in the kitchen.
She made the slave go in and close the door on the nose of the grunt.
Lagakh tied the human to the vertical wooden plank in her bedroom. She always bind her toys there for their first night with her.
Once he was well tied, she put on him a blindfold and remove the apron.
She take a step back and eyed him.
He was rather tall for a human. At least for a fighter, and with those muscles he couldn¡¯t be one. He had a bit of it, but it was clear he didn¡¯t exercise a lot, he even had a bit of fat on his belly.
His face¡¯s trait were most delicate than most of the human. Only a bit of facial hairs, it could be the start of a beard. Some humans had beard, nothing like dwarves¡¯, but more fournish than orcs¡¯.
Looking closer to him she saw he had almost no scars, no callus on his hands. He was either a noble, or the son of a rich merchant. But what was he doing where her warriors found him? Touching him, Lagakh felt he had a really smooth skin. That only reinforce her impressions of him growing up in a wealthy family.
Well that would make it even more pleasurable for her to break him.
The first few time she touched him he had shivered a little. But now, he didn¡¯t move at all, letting her caress his body as she wanted.
Doing so, she saw the part she was the most interested about him growing bigger. At first it was rather small, like every human dick. But now it was rather big. It looked average between his legs, but he was taller than most human, and it was proportional. It was still smaller than the average orc¡¯s one.
She grow tired of just caressing his body, even if the smoothness of his skin was rather enjoyable. She putted her hands on his chest and tingled his nipples. Then in a sadistic move she twisted them, making him tense in his bidding.
Lagakh put her mouth near the human¡¯s hear and said.
¡°You can resist, I will enjoy it. You can scream in pain and pleasure, I will enjoy it. You¡¯ll be hard, I will enjoy it. I will take pleasure with you this night.¡±
__________
Marc was scared.
He really didn¡¯t like what was happening to him.
He knew he couldn¡¯t do anything about it. The obvious choices was to resist as hard as possible or to comply. But he felt that the both options would give satisfaction to the female orc.
He chose the third option. Trying as hard as he could to endure everything without showing anything.
He had to resist the urge to move away from her touch. He let her touched his skin controlling more and more his shivering, until she pinched his nipples. It had make him startled. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
He didn¡¯t understand what she had whispered in his ear. But he guessed it was some kind of warning or promise.
She resumed caressing him, more and more near his groin.
He felt blood rush down, he couldn¡¯t control this body reaction.
Ashamed of himself he felt the woman fingers gently going up and down his growing member. She was skilled, and he wasn¡¯t used to resist this kind of feeling. Her hand went a bit lower and delicately grabbed his nuts, squeezing them tenderly. And with a wick movement-
¡°AAARRRGGGHHH!!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT! THAT HURTS! I¡¯M GONNA HIT YOU BITCH!¡± He started to struggle then quickly calmed down. ¡®No! I need to endure this. If I give in, or if I struggle she will enjoy it. The only way to truly resist is by doing nothing. I will ruin her fun.¡¯
The sadistic woman went behind him and resumed stroking his dick up and down with her right hand. She pressed her boobies agains its back, making him aware that they were both naked. With her second hand, she caressed his torso, pinching his tities and scraching his skin.
Then she moved her left hand down his back and grab his but, slowly leading her fingers to his butthole. She teased Marc there, making him shudder anew.
¡®What? She¡¯s going to put her finger there? I should have expected it, but I don¡¯t want it.¡¯ He tried to contract his sphincter, but she pushed and sleep one finger inside. She moved it around, like if she was looking for something.
She put a second, then a third, making Marc more and more uncomfortable. She finally found his prostate and started massaging it. For all this time, she never stopped jerking him with her right hand.
Having his dick and his prostate simultaneously handled by experted hands had reason of Marc endurance. He sensed it grow in him, building in his groin and, even if he trying to resist, finally exploding.
__________
She did it, she knew she was able to do it. She made him cum.
¡®Good, now on to the next phase.¡¯
Lagakh took the released semen in her hand and forced it on the human mouth. She slapped him when he spit it.
She passed in front again and after making sure his dick was hard again, she climbed on him, sliding his human member in her moist pussy. She putted almost all her weight on his member. She then started moving up and down.
The human wasn¡¯t moving a bit, she understand he was trying to resist her by being the most passif he could be.
¡°Move your hips.¡± She ordered him. He obeyed but he was succeeding in putting the least effort possible in it.
Lagakh continue to ride him ordering him to do more.
But it wasn¡¯t it. He wasn¡¯t trying to beat her or indulging himself in the act. He was doing passive resistance. And he was succeeding in ruining her fun. That was making her angry. She wasn¡¯t able to release herself.
She decided to stop this after he came once, and reached for a whip.
Shlack!
¡°Argh!¡±
Shlack!
¡°Suffer you slave! I didn¡¯t broke you today, but I will do it. Or you will die.¡±
She whipped him ten more time then stopped and let him hang there for the night. She didn¡¯t want to break his back, he had work to do in the morning. It was so frustrating!
She went to sleep and pass a bad night, full with nightmares of her childhood.
__________
¡®I did it. I manage to ruin her fun. It was painful, a lot. And she managed to make my body do what she wanted. But She didn¡¯t had the fun she was planning to have. Serve you. I¡¯ll make you pay one day. And soon. You¡¯ll pay for all I suffer.¡¯
Indulging in this sort of though Marc manage to fall asleep, tied up to the wooden bar. He slept naked and with blood slowly dripping on his back. The woman orc had manage to tear his skin with her whip. It was the second most painful experience of his life, just after having his balls crushed. And those two things were thanks to the same person.
Chapter 04 - Improved status.
Lagakh woke up feeling strange. She wasn¡¯t hurt, but she was tied up and gagged. When she opened her eyes she saw the human sleeping in front of her. She was tied up naked to the wooden plank used to hold her slaves before playing with them. This room was her own bedroom, meaning the human had transported her here. She had no longer any wound, why did the human heal her? Why didn¡¯t he let her die?
She felt rage grow inside her.
He had cowardly defeated her, killed all of her warriors, reaped her of her pride. And more than that, he put on her a slavery collar and treated her like her slaves, death was better than this humiliation. He even dared to treat her injuries, depriving her of more prideful scars!
She wanted to die, but before that she would have to kill this human. Slowly and painfully. The mushroom was also here, angrily looking at her, reminding her the depth of her shame. She had not only lost to a human, but also to a mushroom. She felt a bit of fear at the thought that he could took his revenge for what she had done to him, what she had done to a lot of people, what a lot of people had done to her. NO! She would not lost herself in those memories. What she suffered is in the past. Now she must live for her vengeance, as an orc and a warrior, she had to make all those who had made her suffer pay. This human in particular.
And for that she would need the human to take off the collar. She couldn¡¯t guess how he managed to remove it. It was supposed to be impossible. Even the death of the master could not allow the slave to remove his collar, it would just make the slave available to whoever poured mana in the slavery collar first. The only theoretical way of freeing someone from those collar, without the consent of the owner, was through an extradimensional storage Skill of some kind and those were only found in a few third tier Skill Tree. It was impossible for a human of his age to get one of those. Only person with dozens of years of experience could have this kind of Skill Tree. A person with a third tier Skill Tree merchant would be too powerful for such a collar could to be put on him.
Lagakh would have to trick the human in freeing her and reveal his secret.
__________
When Marc woke up, he was feeling really better than the previous day. Having a good rest is easier when you¡¯re not a slave. Sitting in the bed he looked around and saw Paulet and the female orc looking daggers at each other. She didn¡¯t move and stayed attached here all night, carefully monitored by Paulet.
Marc get up and looked by the window, he noticed the sun was low on the horizon, but was it the est of the west? He had no idea.
He then went in front of the female orc and remove the gag, she looked at him with hatred and tried to bit him. He slapped her, giving her a menacing look.
¡°You know, normally I wouldn¡¯t hit a woman. But after what I saw in the kitchen, and what you did to me, I have no remorse in hitting you. So don¡¯t make me angry.¡± Marc knew she couldn¡¯t understand him, but talking to someone was refreshing after the recent events. Founding his girlfriend fucking his brother, dying, speaking to an administrator whatever that was, being send to another world, and then reduced to a slave and a sex toy. All of this in just two days was too much to handle for a student like him.
Marc pointed at himself and at Paulet and said their names, then pointing at her he waited with an interrogative look on his face.
¡°Lagakh.¡± responded the orc after a little moment.
¡°Lagakh? Welcome in our little band, you will be my bodyguard and my guide.
¡°I will kill you.¡±
¡°Squeak.¡± Said Paulet, like if it wanted to participate in the conversation.
¡°I know you can¡¯t understand my words, but this collar translates the meaning of them, so here are my orders: don¡¯t harm me and protect me.¡± After learning her language he would elaborate on it, but for now, Marc would keep it simple and straightforward.
Marc unbinded Lagakh, keeping a knife in his hand. As soon as she was free, he repeated his orders and looked at her with apprehension, waiting for her to charge at him. But she simply ignored him and went for her closet to take some clothes to dress herself. Marc didn¡¯t missed a second of it.
¡°Come.¡±
Ordered Marc as he went to the corridor then walked to the room where the slaughter took place.
¡°Clean.¡±
Lagakh looked at him then began to pick up the bodies and dispose them in the courtyard, Marc followed her the first time. Then he ordered Paulet to watched her and went to the kitchen.
There he take all the human meat in the pantry and put it respectfully in the courtyard. He prepared a pyre, working quickly has the sun was setting down.
It seemed he had slept almost all day.
He saw that Lagakh also made a pyre for the dead orcs and decided to let her do it. She was his slave now, and only a monster in his eyes, but he didn¡¯t want her to hate him more than she already did. He thought that she would be more efficient in her bodyguard job. For the same reason he didn¡¯t said anything when she put her leather armor back and her swords at her waist.
At nightfall Marc ignited the humans¡¯ pyre and let Lagakh took care of the orcs¡¯ one. And after watching for a bit, he went back in the kitchen and started cooking some animal meat and cleaning his new clothes.
__________
Lagakh didn¡¯t understand what the human had in mind. His orders were simple, and the collar helped her understand them. She was forbidden to harm him and even had to protect him from what she could understand. He even let her give a proper funeral to her fallen warriors. But he also made her clean the room, like she was some sort of maid.
And now he was bringing her some food. She didn¡¯t want to eat this food, but he ordered her to do so. He also light up some of the torches, the night coming some light won¡¯t be a luxury.
During the meal, Marc ordered her to do something else, but she didn¡¯t get it and the collar didn¡¯t help her on this one. Then he took the plate and point his finger on it, saying a strange word. As he was doing so with everything near them, she finally understand what he wanted. He wanted her to give him the name of those things.
At the time she understood the collar forced her to name each object one by one. She struggled at first but quickly complied and start teaching him how to speak lavarian. It would be easier to manipulate him if they could understand each other''s words. The fact that a human didn¡¯t speak a word of the most common language was strange, but he was a strange human.
__________
After eating and learning a bit of vocabulary Marc went to see the night sky, he had always loved watching the stars, wondering if there was life out there, and he was rather curious to see the stars of this world. Well now he didn¡¯t knew for the stars, but he knew that the other universes theories were true.
He made Lagakh follow him, so he could continue to learn new words.
The night sky was astonishing, there was a lot more stars than he was used to see on Earth. They were like billions of diamonds spreaded on a black silk sheet. But the most surprising thing up there, was the moons. Yes, plural, like in two moons. A big one, looking three time as big as the Earth¡¯s moon and with a faint light that wasn¡¯t strong enough to illuminate the night. It was only a crescent moon right now, but no doubt that on the full moon, the light would allow someone to walk peacefully on the streets. The second moon was really small, maybe a tenth of the first one, it was the same form than the first. But this one was giving a small green light. The small moon was on the right of the big one.
After contemplating the starry night Marc felt it was quite chilly out there. He was still tired of the recents events. Tomorrow he would visit the castle.
After binding Lagakh to a bed they had moved in her bedroom, Marc lie on her previous bed, the biggest and comfiest.Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings.
He then go through his status again, wondering the meaning of the characteristics¡¯ names and where were the famous stat points he had gain when he had level up. How was he suppose to use them if he couldn¡¯t even see them in his status screen.

Yep, he didn¡¯t miss them, the free stat points he had gain were nowhere on his status screen. He would have to figure out how to use them later, the physical and intellectual ones seemed to have been automatically allocated. But what he saw and surprised him the most was the new section about Lagakh. There was a special section in the status of a person with his slaves¡ Has if the system was encouraging slavery...
So Lagakh was a level 17 gladiator, surely that was meaning she was a really strong one and that in normal conditions, she would have crushed him. Also, she was not a simple orc, well Marc already knew that, but he had the confirmation that she was even more than what he thought. She was half dark orc and half goliath. Whatever the differences between a normal orc and a dark one was, apart for the skin color. And for what Marc could guess from his Bible¡¯s knowledges, the goliath were probably a race of tall and strong humanoid.
Well, that new section gift him another piece of useful information, she had only one Skill Tree outside of her races¡¯ ones. Marc had two of them, did that mean he could become really powerful? Or did that have absolutely no meaning? He decided that he would believe in the first until something prove him wrong.
His Linguistic and Familiar Skills had also gained some experience, meaning the teaching and the presence of Paulet were useful. Hey, the mushroom had even gain a level for himself.
Marc had gain of experience for his levels to. He guessed it means he didn¡¯t had to kill to level up, but it was faster.
__________
Incredible, the human had only tied her to a bed before falling asleep in her former one. He had done nothing to her. Lagakh was hardly believing the day that had pass.
Marc, as his name was, had almost treated her with respect, at least toward the dead. But at other moments he was treating her like garbage. She was forced to clean the blood in the dining room! Like a common slave!
She had freed herself from a life of fights in the arena and sexual abuses in other places. She had taken control of a small band of wandering orcs and started to make a warband of them. She had even gain the respect of a shaman. Soon she would have been able to complete her revenge! But now, she was nothing more than a slave, again.
She would enjoy killing this human, she would reclaimed her freedom. She would form a new warband. And this time, she would be more cautious of the slaves she captured, making sure they didn¡¯t have strange abilities they should not have.
Chapter 05 - Walking around.
The following morning Marc woke up feeling much more refreshed, he had a peaceful night without any dreams and his body was well rested. He found Paulet cuddling against him in the kingside bed, it was the best pillow Marc ever had.
Going to untie Lagakh, he found her already awake. She was glaring at him like if she was daring him to let her free. Reminding her that she was forbidden to harm him or to run away he unknotted the bonds.
After a light breakfast, Marc had disposed of all the human meat the last evening, they went to tour the castle. Along the way the language lessons resumed.
The place was bigger than Marc had thought at the beginning, he had only seen the non crumbled part of it.
At the center was the castle himself, a strong building with four floors, but without the roof and half the last floor. It was pretty circular and must had a diameter of one hundred meters. Near the wall¡¯s gate was a well, granting fresh water to the castle¡¯s inhabitants.
Surrounding the castle, at one or two hundred meters depending on the side, was a first wall, that had been greatly damaged in the past, as all of the other buildings had been. It was the only construction, with the well, that had seen some repair. It had been crudely done and with only poorly cut wood. The orcs had probably tried to fortify it, but they were no masons.
At three hundred meters from the inner wall, was another one, but it was in an even worse state than the first before the orc started to consolidate it. This wall would not even stop a deer to enter the area.
Outside the wall was a forest and at some place near the castle were spaces in the foliage, probably where some old buildings were standing, nothing more than ruins now. The castle¡¯s ruins were on a small hill, allowing peoples on the walls or at the top floors¡¯ castle to see far away. Down and behind the hill was a river, granting an easy access to water. It was certainly connected to the well.
Between the two walls, the vegetation had started to reclaim its rights. It was not yet a forest, but a lot of bushes were growing there.
Inside the castle were multiple rooms. The kitchen, the prison, the dining room and Lagakh¡¯s former bedroom, Marc already knew. He had also already and quickly visited the dormitory. But now he was more interested in the other rooms.
First, they went in the basement. Passing in front of the cells they went to a room at the end of the corridor. It was a big room and it was there that the orcs kept the result of their raid. It was their treasure room. There Marc found a lot of chests, but when he opened them he was disappointed to see that almost all of them were empty or containing only some fabric. He had hoped to find a lot of money here, that would have made his future life easier. The fabric could be useful of course, but a lot less than some gold, he would have to sell it, and he didn¡¯t had the least idea of their value and how the economics worked around here.
On the first floor there was nothing more than the kitchen, the dining room and the barracks. After a quick inspection of it, Marc, Lagakh and Paulet went to the second floor. As usual Marc picked Paulet to go up the stairs, as it couldn¡¯t do it with his little legs.
On that floor were Marc¡¯s room, previously Lagakh¡¯s one, the former room of the shaman, and three other rooms. Those spare rooms didn¡¯t have furniture in them, they didn¡¯t even had curtain to close the windows, the wind and the rain could easily come inside, explaining why they weren¡¯t used.
On the third floor were only three rooms. A really big one who had certainly be the master bedroom. The two others were communicating with the big one, one was just below the missing part of the last floor, so it didn¡¯t had a roof. The last room was a library, but almost all the books were gone, only three of them were still there. Marc picked one of the books and when he opened it he was startled to recognise the letters. The book was written with roman alphabet! Marc couldn¡¯t understand what was written in it, but he had imagined that the alphabets in use on this world would be completely different from the ones used on Earth. After a quick check he found that the three books were written in roman alphabet. It was a really great surprise for Marc, meaning it would be easier to learn to write and read the local language.
Touring the castle finished a bit after midday, so Marc led his group to the kitchen and they ate some of the remaining food. The stock getting low Marc decided to send Lagakh hunt for some meat. He didn¡¯t know if she was a good huntress, but he didn¡¯t care.
¡°Go forest, bring food, fill the bag, come back before night.¡± He used only very simple words for ordering her around, after all he didn¡¯t talked the same language as her yet, despite his quick learning.
While Lagakh was outside Marc rummaged through her old bedroom and the shaman one. In her room he found some spare clothing and what she must had considered as toys to use on her slaves.
In the shaman¡¯s room Marc found some papers with strange runes on it, he couldn¡¯t read them for a dime. He also found a lot of strange herbs and preparations that looked like game¡¯s potions, but, not knowing what was inside, he¡¯d rather not touch them. He also found two leather collars. They looked like the slavery collar he put on Lagakh¡¯s neck but they seemed much simpler. Lagakh¡¯s one was all black and had some silver runes on the inside they looked like the ones on the shaman¡¯s paper. Also when it was put around a neck it looked like it was a single piece without locks. When the two new collar were of simple leather with normal locks and the runes looked more simpler. Marc concluded that Lagakh¡¯s collar was a high version of slavery collars while those ones were a basic one. There were also some dirty leather clothes, probably spare for the shaman.
After his little inspection of the two bedroom Marc went and took the roman alphabet books and settled himself on the former Lagakh¡¯s throne. It was the comfier chair of the building.
¡°Go forest, bring food, fill the bag, come back before night.¡± With those simple words Lagakh was sent out. Marc had given her a bag and her weapon and pointed at the forest. There wasn¡¯t a way to go around those orders, they were too simple to search for any loop hole, she had to comply or to suffer again. They weren¡¯t bad orders, the pantry was almost empty after Marc had burnt all the human and halfling meat.
Going trough the forest, searching for the traces of some animals, Lagakh began gathering fruits. Strangely after the few first ones, the tingling in the collar diminished, it was then that she come up with a way to disobey Marc¡¯s orders. She was in the forest, she had food to bring back and the bag was full, as long as she came back to the castle before night she woulds have fulfilled her orders. It was almost nothing, but it was about disobeying her captor and showing him that she was not a simple doll to order around.
She still had a lot of time before nightfall, so she unsheathed her sword and started training in the forest.

Looking at her status, she sighed, she couldn¡¯t train her fighting skill further, without going to a Sacred Place and spent her stat and skill points. Only Finishing blow and Public strength could be trained for battle. The first needed killing something strong, making it hard to level on her own, only on the little chance to cross path with a strong beast. And the last had such a strange set up that she couldn¡¯t train it here, she needed an audience...
As for going to a Sacred Place, that would take a really long time before she could, she refused to bring Marc to such a place. That would allow him to become to much powerfull, killing all her men should have granted him a lot of points. But maybe, if he became strong enough he would became overconfident, and she could lure him into freeing her. Then she would reveal all her strength and take revenge on him.
She had planned to raid a human village soon to allow her and her warrior to use the Sacred place there. But now it was completely impossible.
After going a few time through the books Marc did some experiment with his Extradimensional inventory skill. It looked like he was able to put all that he wanted except living thing inside, he tried it with some ants passing by. They were a limit of approximately one cubic meter of content. All he needed to do to put something in or out of the storage was to touch the thing and think about it. Every time he took something out, it appeared in his hands, meaning he could immediately equip a weapon, but not an armor. Every object put inside was congealed in its shape, he tried it with a drop of water and it didn¡¯t spread on the rest, but he didn¡¯t know yet if it could preserve food.
|
Skill Extradimensional inventory had level up!
You can now store more weird stuff in your personal little space out of space. Keep putting things in and out and you will be able to quickly put away the proofs of your mischiefs!
|
Somewhere along the way he receive a notification telling him that his skill had levelled up. After that he saw that he could store things up to two cubic meters. Meaning the space doubled at every level or that it gained one cubic meter. The notification was accompanied by a strange message, like for the Poison creation skill.
Checking his status he remarked that his Linguistic skill had also gained a lot of experience, it was at 78%. The language lessons and the attempts at reading the books seemed profitable. Seeing this he tried even harder to read the books, and manage to level up his linguistic skill.
|
Skill Linguistic had level up!
You can now speak better with your fellows. Keep practicing and you¡¯ll soon be able to lie all the content of your heart!
|
Again a strange declaration, whoever wrote those notifications must have a weird view on things.
The day was reaching its end and Lagakh should soon come back, so Marc went to wait for her at the entrance of the Castle.
Not long after, the female orc arrived and Marc went to see the result of her hunt. She was strongly smelling of sweat like if she had do sport all the afternoon. She was looking at Marc with a wry smile on her face when she handed him the bag.
When he checked it, Marc found dirt, pebbles, leafs and a total of seven strawberries in her bag¡ She had managed to fool him.
Marc felt anger growing inside him, at him for not making his order without flaw, and at her for contouring them. Coming back to his mind was the trahison of his ex-girlfriend and his brother, and also what Lagakh did to him his first night on Jezoi, making the anger grow even more.
Listening to it, Marc slapped Lagakh in the face, but she didn¡¯t flinch and only looked at him with disdain in her eyes. The pain in his hand and the look in her eyes only served to infuriate Marc.
¡°You bitch! I¡¯m gonna make you pay for everything you did to me! Follow me in silence and don¡¯t resist!¡±
Marc reached to her collar, dragged her to his bedroom, he striped her by putting her leather armor in his storage and then he tied her to the wood structure he had been tied two days ago. ¡°Don¡¯t move!¡± he ordered her.
Grabbing a whip in Lagakh¡¯s old trunk he start to flog her with all his strength. He quickly managed to redden her back, and soon he also broke her skin, adding fresh wounds to the scars.
Seeing the blood flow on her skin Marc froze. He looked at her back, the at the whip in his hand and let it drop. He rushed out of the room.
He rushed out of the building and tripped over a root between the two walls.
Finding himself looking at the starry sky and the rising moons, he thought about the events of the previous days.
He had a chance to live a new life, and he wanted it to be peaceful, not filled with hatred and resentment. For that he had to treat Lagakh better, he couldn¡¯t let her free or she would kill him, but he didn¡¯t want to treat her like she had treated him. He was better than that, he had grown in a country where the human rights were in high regard and he had wanted to become a medecin. He wanted to save lives, not destroy them.
He understood the fact that he needed to kill the orcs to avoid being killed by them, and that they surely deserved it. But he had never been a partisan of the death penalty, always thinking that a life imprisonment was a better way to punish criminals. For him, the only case where giving the death could be tolerate was to save a life, or to end the suffering of a dying person. He was for the legalization of euthanasia.
Marc also had to think of a story to tell people about his origins. He could tell the truth to Lagakh and then order her to keep it a secret, but he didn¡¯t think that the population or the authorities would believe him. Or if they did believe him, he had no idea of the way they would react. Was there even local authorities?
Focusing his mind on Lagakh and his current situation, he saw her enslavement as a long life period of hard labour. And he decided that he would heal her back and let her have a good sleep. Tomorrow he would give her better orders when he¡¯d send her gather food.
__________
As always Lagakh was surprised by Marc¡¯s reaction.
First was the anger, she saw that coming. His slap was weak. She had seen a true hatred in his eyes, and that had surprised her. Then he had screamed at her in his strange language and drag her to be punished, that was a little unexpected from what she understood of him. But the hatred in his eyes made her fear for her life a second.
She hadn¡¯t been flogged in a long time, and the memories that were brought back weren¡¯t of the pleasant kind. That only made her more determined to kill the human. Then when the hit started to inflict a bit of damage they stopped.
She heard the whip hit the ground and Marc rushed out of the room. That was a surprise. She waited patiently for him to return and do whatever he wanted to her, as she could not free herself of this place.
A bit later, Marc came back, talked a bit to the mushroom, and then he did the most surprising thing of the evening.
He healed her back with his magic. Put her in her bed and hugged her.
¡°Sorry, I go too far this night. I not whip you again. I want not hatred in my life. I want simple life.¡± He had difficulty to speak, but he truly was learning fast, so fast that he must had a skill to help him. He even knew words that she had not teached him yet.
But the content of the words were strange for her, he really looked like he was sorry for what he did to her. He even had some tears in his eyes and was trembling a little while hugging her.
He didn¡¯t looked like he was about to rape her, like she had first thought when he had hugged her naked body in the bed.
__________
Paulet was wondering what was happening.
The Master had punish the dark lady, then he had went outside. And when he had come back he had healed her.
He had also congratulated it for guarding her. Paulet was a good familiar, it looked after its master.
But now, the woman was in the arms of its sleeping master, that was its place. It wasn¡¯t pleased with that outcome.
Chapter 06 - How does it work?
Ding!
|
Congratulations you survived three days!
This is the end of the starting period, your starting advantages have ended and you are now more like the common folk of this planet.
|
|
Let¡¯s go!
All the Champions have been called on Jezoi, as such the God¡¯s Game has truly started.
Go and find the way to win, making your God proud of you!
|
The first notification worried him. He had not known he had a special advantage for his three days on Jezoi, quickly checking his status, he saw nothing different. Maybe the advantage was somewhere else, It must have been hidden from him.
The second notification bothered him a little, he had no intention of participating in that pervert game. But the thing that was bothering him was the fact that the victory conditions were not given. Arnold had told him that they would be given when the last Champion would arrive on Jezoi. According to the message, that would be now, but they weren¡¯t there. Well as long as he could live in peace, he would avoid meddling in the affairs of the other Champions.
Whatever, he had other things to do that worried about those he could do nothing about.
Looking in front of him, he saw Lagakh peacefully sleeping in his arms, and the event of the last evening come back to his mind. He felt guilty for what he did. At first he didn¡¯t understand why she had stayed in the bed with him, then he remembered his orders, following him in silence, not resisting and not moving. If she was still under the influence of those, it would be normal. Getting out of the bed he woke her up.
¡°You can move and speak, meet me in the kitchen in half an hour.¡±
Preparing breakfast, Marc thought about the remaining food. At the current pace it would last for three days, five if they rationed it. It also seemed he was starting to smell awfully bad, and the odor of Lagakh was not a pleasant one either. This afternoon, they were going in the forest to gather food and to take a bath in the river. They would also wash their clothes. And he would soon need to address the affair of his beard. Would he let it grow, like he always had liked to? Or would he continue to shave it, like people expected a good doctor to?
It would also be an opportunity to learn more vocabulary. Marc was astonished by the ease he had learning a new language, one with no common point with any earth languages he had known. His Linguistic Skill must have greatly helped him in that regard.
While he was reviewing his vocabulary, Marc heard the little puff like sounds Paulet was doing went hopping down the stairs. Looking in that direction he saw it and right after it was Lagakh, she seemed angry, as usual, and when she saw Marc stared at him with hatred in her eyes.
Paulet just gleefully walked to the human and cuddled itself to his leg. Marc picked it up and placed it on his lap. It happily ate whatever Marc was giving it.
Lagakh sat down at the table and began eating everything she could. Marc didn¡¯t know it, but the amount of food was a problem for him only.
¡°Lagakh, today I will come with you to search food. We will go to the river and wash.¡± Marc told requiring the attention of the dark orc woman.
¡°Humph.¡± Was the only response he got.
¡°I tell you a secret.¡± He started, having made his mind. ¡°I am not from this world. I am from another world. A god sent me there. Meintcue, god of medicines and poisons. There are others like me. This is a secret. You must keep it.¡±
Lagakh looked at Marc rising an eyebrow, she then humphed at him and went back to eat.
__________
What was he talking about? Lagakh didn¡¯t believe a word of what the stupid human had told her.
Coming from another world? Being chosen by a god? As if it could be true! And Meintcue? She had never heard of that god. But it would explain his strange power.
¡°So, what Skill Tree do you have?¡± She asked him. If he was telling her ¡®secret¡¯, she could try to learn more about him. And better manipulate him in the future.
¡°I have Human, Champion, Medicine and Poison. One more than you.¡±
¡®What?! He knew how many Skill Tree I have!¡¯
¡°Lagakh, tell me. How do I spend Stat and Skill points?¡±
¡®Shit, I have to tell him now.¡¯ ¡°You go to a Sacred Place.¡±
¡°Explain better. Like I¡¯m a kid.¡± He didn¡¯t let her a lot of opportunities to hide facts.
¡°A Sacred Place is a place that have been consecrated by a high priest of any god, you go there and look at your status. At those places you can see a lot more of details on it, like the number of your unallocated Stat and Skill Points, and you can use them. Stat Points to increase your Stats. And Skill Points to buy new Skills or even new Skill Trees.¡±
¡°What are the uses of each Stat? What¡¯s the difference between the Physical and the Intellectual ones?¡±
¡°The Physical Stats represent the capacities of the body, and the Intellectual ones are for the mind. Strength is how strong you are. Endurance is your ability to endure physical damages. Agility is the ability to flex your body, it¡¯s also how fast you can move. Perception is how accurate your senses are. On the Intellectual side, it¡¯s quite the equivalence. The Mental Stat is the strength of your mind, how powerful you are when you use any kind of magic. Abstraction is the facility you have to endure magical damages, hexes, charms and others stuff like that. Understanding represent how flexible your mind is and the amount of information you can take at a time. Finally, Sagacity is how accurate you can be when sensing anything related to magic.¡±Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there.
¡°So, I suppose the higher, the better? And what¡¯s the human¡¯s average?¡±
¡°Yes, when a Stat goes high, you are more powerful in it. And the human¡¯s average is one hundred in each Stat. You scums are the most average species of all.¡±
¡°Stop with the insults. If I get it right, when you have two hundred Strength you¡¯re literally two times as strong as someone with one hundred Strength?¡±
¡°Yes, except if you have a Skill that enhances your Strength Stat.¡±
¡°And, for the Skills? How does it work?¡±
¡°When you have a Skill Tree open for you, it comes with a random Skill, it¡¯s always the first of its branch. If you manage to level a Skill up to level ten, you unlock the next Skill on the branch and so on until you¡¯ve completed it. The number and length of each branch depend of the Skill Tree. When you¡¯ve completed a branch, it unlocks a Skill Tree of a superior tier. You can use your Skill Points for leveling your Skills, buy new ones or open a new Skill Tree. The Skill Tree you can open are based on your way of life. At birth the Skill Tree of your race is always open.¡±
¡°How do I gain Stat and Skill Points?¡±
¡°You level up.¡± ¡®You moron.¡¯
¡°And for that? I need to kill?¡±
¡°Not necessarily, but it¡¯s the faster way. Just living accordingly to your Skill Trees grants you experience. And there is the anniversary gift. It is also said that some rare Skills can steal or give experience, or even others Skills.¡±
¡°The anniversary gift?¡±
¡°Yes, each year, at your anniversary, the Gods grant you ten percent of experience.¡±
¡°Really?¡±
¡°Yes.¡±
¡°That¡¯s so weird.¡±
¡°Can I ask questions?¡± She was a bit tactful, or else she thinks he would ordered her to just explain. And she was curious about him.
¡°Yes. As long as you don¡¯t insult or betrayed me, you can always ask me questions.¡±
¡°How did you remove the collar? Was that thanks to a Skill? Which one?¡±
¡°I took it off with my Extradimensional inventory Skill.¡±
¡°How can you have such a Skill?¡±
¡°It¡¯s part of my Champion Skill Tree, why?¡±
¡°It¡¯s normally impossible to have a storage Skill without a third tier Skill Tree. Is that Champion Skill Tree one of them? How did you manage to get it?¡±
¡°I don¡¯t know its tier. And it came with the fact that a God¡¯s Champion, therefor the corresponding Skill Trees. Champion, Medicine and Poison.¡±
¡°Bullshit.¡±
¡°If you don¡¯t want to believe it, you can, but it is true. And tell me, what are the tier of my Skill Trees?¡±
¡°Normally they should all be tier one. It is impossible to have a tier two Skill Tree without a corresponding tier one. But I never have heard of this Champion Skill Tree. And the Medicine and Poison ones are really uncommon, I don¡¯t know anything about them.¡±
¡°Is it common to have two races?¡±
¡°It depends on the races. Some are more compatible than others, but it is rather rare. Why?¡± ¡®Did he know I¡¯m a mixed-blood? How?¡¯
¡°Cause Champion is also considered a Race by the system. And I can see you are part Goliath part Dark orc. Dark orc, I can guess thats a superior version of orcs. But what are Goliaths?¡±
¡°HOW!? How do you know I¡¯m half goliath?¡±
¡°I¡¯ll tell you after you explain to me what they are and what does that mean.¡±
¡°Hrmpf. Goliath are a species of really tall and strong humanoids that live high in the mountains. They live in tribes and have almost no contacts with the other species. It''s almost impossible for one to mate with someone from another species, and even more to have a child born of that. For me it means that magic was used to help it and that I was born a slave.¡±
¡°I¡¯m sorry for you. No one should be born a slave. You are one know, but this time you deserve it.¡±
¡°You, I hate you even more know. And answer my question. How do you know that?¡±
¡°After I put the collar on your neck, a new section appeared in my status. Like the one for Paulet, but it give me informations on my slaves.¡±
¡°It¡¯s not possible.¡±
¡°It is. I can see there that your full name is Lagakh O¡¯ Malo, that you¡¯re half Dark orc half Goliath. You¡¯re at eighty percent of your level eighteen. You have your races Skill Trees and the Gladiator one. And, in case I didn¡¯t see it, it also tells me that you¡¯re a female. Now close your mouth, you gonna eat a fly.¡±
¡°B-b-but¡ It¡¯s impossible. There is no Skill that can give those kind of informations.¡±
¡°It must be part of being a Champion.¡±
¡°It is the only explanation, you must be telling the truth. How can this be possible?¡± He was asking her things considered common knowledge, and he had some impossible knowledge about her.
¡°Well, I died in my world. I won¡¯t tell you how. And after that I met a strange guy, Arnold, he¡¯s an Administrator. If you know that is, tell me. Then I had to choose some stuff, like my race, my Skill Trees and my Skills. That reminds me, do you know what it means when a Skill or a Skill Tree has a plus sign after its name?¡±
¡°I never heard of those administrator guys. And neither of a Skill with a plus sign.¡±
¡°Too bad. Tell me, is there a Sacred Place around here?¡±
¡°No, the closest is three days of travelling up north. At the city of Guerion. I had planned to infiltrate there with my warriors, but now, I can¡¯t.¡± Lagakh had not completely processed what Marc had tall her. She was still thinking about it and answer automatically to Marc¡¯s question. She gave him more information than she would have if she had paid more attention.
¡°We¡¯ll need to go there soon then. And no killing in town. But tell me more about the Skill, which ones do you have, what do they do, and from where Skill Tree did you get them?¡±
¡°As a dark orc I have the Night vision Skill, it allows me to see in the night. From my goliath heritage, I have the Goliath¡¯s stomach Skill, it¡¯s really useful for survival as it allows me to eat and digest dirt and stones. It doesn¡¯t mean I like it, tastes awful. And from the Gladiator Skill Tree, I have Sword mastery, Finishing blow, Public strength and Small enhance agility. Sword mastery and Small enhance agility spoke from themselves. Finishing blow grant me more strength when I strike a killing blow. And Public strength gives me small buff in all my Stat when I fight with spectators. What are yours?¡±
¡°I won¡¯t tell you more on that subject that I already have.¡±
¡°You told me I could ask all the questions I want.¡± Lagakh tried to argue.
¡°Yes, but I didn¡¯t tell you I was going to answer all of them.¡± Responded Marc with a wry smile on the face.
¡®You bastard.¡¯
¡°Ok, one last question. What is the use of titles?¡±
¡°Titles? They¡¯re useless in most occasion. But when you¡¯re in a Sacred Place, you can display them over your head. It only serves to show off, as titles are hard to gain. You have one?¡±
¡°Meintcue¡¯s Champion. The God that chose me to be his Champion.¡±
¡°And what are Champions supposed to do? What does it me for you to be one?¡±
¡°We¡¯re suppose to affront each other to bring victory to our God. But I don¡¯t intend to do it. I just want to live my life in peace.
Now that breakfast is finished, go prepare. We are going in the wood to get food.¡±
¡°Hmrf.¡± ¡®Again with the food.¡¯
¡°Squeak!¡±

Chapter 07 - Hate to death.
He hated them.
He hated them all.
They had hurt him. Again and again. Making fun of him, bullying him every day.
Day after day he went home with bruises. Only to get more of them.
No one liked him. Not his family, not his teachers and not even his comrades. Everybody was awful with him.
One day he snapped.
He took his father¡¯s guns and went to school with them.
There he killed a lot of people.
The other students who had bullied him. The teachers who had done nothing but watched and walked away. Even his parents before leaving the house.
When the cops had come to arrest him, he didn¡¯t let them do. He ran in the corridor, he ran in the staircase, he tripped on a cartridge and fell backward.
The newspapers and TV news talked about the stupid death of the crazy Mickey Rat, the boy who had slip on his own cartridge after his massive killing at his high school. They never mention how he had been abused and bullied all his life, focusing only on his love for video games.
Mickey woke in a white room without walls. In this were only a desk and two chair.
After a bit of time, a strange man appeared. He looked like an undertaker, a clich¨¦ one, and presented himself as the Administrator Arnold. Arnold talked with a voice that you could almost see it written in Times New Roman.
He explained to Mickey that he had died and that he would be sent on another world to win a strange game for a God. The God whom had chosen him was Koran, God of Hatred, Blood and Slaughter. One of the more powerful God of Jezoi.
The only thing that Mickey really get was that he had been chosen as a Champion by a God. He had to kill other Champions to win. He would be very powerful. And this world was like a video game.
Mickey said goodbye to Arnold with a smile on his face.
Mickey was floating in a dark and endless space. And just when he started to think he was in hell and he had dreamed his meeting with Arnold, a blue panel popped in front of him.

The prices were very low compared to how much Points Mickey had, and there was a lot of choices.
Curious, Mick click on the Half-blood option. It allowed him to choose two races. If he was willing to pay the higher priced one half more points. So, if he chose a race at 1,000 Points and another at 500, it would cost him a total of 2,000 Points.
Mickey was done with human race. He immediately chose draconic in the Half-blood option, making it cost 2,250 Points. After that he hesitated between the devil and the demon options, what could be the difference between the two of them? From what he knew of the Bible, they were many demons, but only one devil. He chose devil.

There was a lot of choice, and Mickey had largely enough to buy every Skills on the list. It would even let him with a lot of wasted points.
He had taken the most expensive options each time and he wouldn¡¯t be able to use so much Points. That was a shame. But he would probably be really powerful.

Complete black came back.
A sudden white light blinded Mick and scattered almost immediately. He was standing in a big circle burned in stone, in the middle was a triangular shape with some symbol.
But he didn¡¯t had the time to look at them, all around him little red men were looking at him with surprise in their eyes. They had yellow eyes, small and sharp teeth and wore nothing else than loincloths.
Mickey looked at them.
They looked at him. Hatred taking place of the fear.
The former human grinned at them. He knew what hatred was.
The dozen of little red men grabbed their weapons. Small and rusted daggers.
And the fight began.
They jumped at him while he maked a step forward and kicked one of them sending him flying backward. Three of them landed on his back and manage to strike him with their blades. Unfortunately for them, the scales on Mick¡¯s body were too hard.
Mick grabbed one of them with his right clawed hand and throw him at the other. He reproduced the moves with the two others little red men on his back, knocking out two more.
One of his opponent managed to pass under his arms and slash at him in the groin. Luckily for him, this area had weakest scales. Unluckily for him, Mick grabbed him with his two hands and slam him hard on is knee.
The Champion turned to looked at the opponents still behind him. In the movement, he unintentionally swinged his tail and threw two of them on the ground.
Looking at the three remaining little red men he roared. And they flee.
Taking a bit of time to look around him, Mick saw he was in a room he supposed was underground. It was rather a big room, something like ten by twelve meters, the roof was at three meters. The little men had fled by the only entrance in the room, a small and dark corridor. The light in the room came from two torches behind him.
Mick had appeared in the middle of the room, right in front of an altar, between the torches. On the altar was a lot of blood stain, of different age. Tied to the side of the altar was a small and shivering bag.
Mick came closer to it and opened the bag.
Inside was a little creature strangely looking like the little men. But this one had a light blue skin, and really dark blue eyes. It was undoubtedly a female, as indicated the breast. And she was visibly terrified by Mick.
¡°Calm down little girl. I won¡¯t harm you. Well maybe I will, but not now. I have questions for you before.¡±
The little blue girl screamed and tried to crawl away from him. It was difficult, she was still partly in the bag, and her hands were bind together.
Mick let her do.
¡°Shit, she don¡¯t understand what I¡¯m saying. I will have to learn the local language. But for now, let''s look at those status, it¡¯s a world like a game right? I¡¯ve read stories like that on the internet. Status!¡±

¡®Lot of fairies in there, I don¡¯t want a fucking fairy as my familiar. I¡¯m not a pussy now, I¡¯m a fucking devil dragon! I need something suited for me.¡¯
Mick quickly put aside any thought about choosing a fairy or a simple animal. It let him with three options: an imp, a stymph or a whisper. He also remarked that the choices were corresponding with his Skill Trees, meaning that the three choices he was considering were respectively coming from his Devil +, Slaughter + and Death Skill Trees. Thinking that a plus in the name of a Skill Tree was probably a good thing, Mick decided to not summon a whisper.
Having to choose between an imp, supposedly a little creature who enjoys messing around, and a stymph, whatever it was. Mick choose the option that would certainly get him the most fearful of the two, the one coming with the Slaughter + Skill Tree, the stymph.
|
Selected familiar: Stymph
Do you confirm that choice?
Yes/No
10 seconds before automatic acceptance.
|
¡®Yeah, I¡¯m sure of my choice. Bring the thing, I¡¯m curious to see what it is.¡¯ Mickey thought has he choose yes.
A little red spark appeared out of nowhere, it grew with metallic glints till it take the form of a bird. A fist sized bird. With a ¡°pop¡± sound the light let place to a strange bird. It was a bird of prey, but a small one. It had red and grey feather all over its body and his beak and claws looked like they were made in metal. It has normal yellow eyes for a bird of prey. If Mick knew more about birds, he could have known it was some kind of falcon, but a kind unknown on Earth.
|
Lesser familiar summoning completed.
Congratulation, your familiar had been successfully summoned.
|
¡®Wow, nice bird. I made the good choice.¡¯
Mick raised his arm and the bird flew right to him and rested on it.
¡°Hey little guy, you need a name, every pets need names. How will I call you? Rest assure it will not be something like an old and dead scientist or worse, an historian. But first, tell me, are you a boy or a girl?¡±
The bird looked at him strangely, it seems it understood the question but couldn¡¯t answer it. It was just a bird after all.
¡°Right, you can¡¯t talk, well deploy your left wing if you''re a boy and the right one if you''re a girl.¡± The stymph moved a wing. ¡°Okay, so you¡¯re a girl. Fine. What do you think of Heop? You like it? I¡¯ve just made it, it doesn¡¯t mean anything.¡±
¡°Qwaaak!¡± made the strange bird.
|
Congratulations!
You just named a familiar, and it accepted it, by doing so you have deeply bounded with it and it will be more powerful and loyal to you.
|
¡°So, it means you accept it. Good.¡±
Hearing a sound coming from the corridor, Mick turned to face it and said:
¡°Now, it¡¯s time to take care of the little red fuckers.¡±
Chapter 08 - The Three Laws of Slavery.
Wandering in the woods around the ruins of the castle, Marc was studying his surroundings. He wasn¡¯t an expert in Botanic, but during his pharmaceutical studies, he had to learn a lot about the flora, especially about mushrooms. So he was able to recognize most of the trees, bushes, flowers and the likes as ones that were also living on Earth. But some others were new to him. According to Lagakh, those plants were common ones that you could see everywhere. Even the one with the weird blue fruit with yellow stripes called cara. Or were they yellow with blue stripes? Whatever their color was, Lagakh put them in her backpack saying they were nutritious and harmless to eat.
During their food gathering, Lagakh taught to Marc a lot of new words, getting him a little bit of experience in his Linguistic Skill.
They didn¡¯t encounter any creatures except a little bunny who flew too fast for them to catch.
Lagakh¡¯s backpack and his Inventory were full of fruits, vegetables and edible mushrooms around midday, so Marc called it a day. And they ate a bit before going back.
At the castle, Marc ordered to Lagakh to do whatever she wanted but to be back to eat at nightfall.
During the afternoon Marc continued to study the books. He had the impression he recognized some words in those, but the filling wasn¡¯t strong enough to let him read them.
His name was Gontrant, and he was a hunter. Today he had ventured deeper in the Gabizah forest than usual.
He had an arrangement with the orcs living there. He didn¡¯t go near their camp, when he meets them in the forest he would give them the result of his hunt and would not give their location to the Watch. And they would not slaughter him and his family and even sell to him a bit of their plunder. Well, only the part they had no interest in, but they were sometimes some useful stuff for a lone hunter and his reclusive family.
But the preys were few those last days, and his traps were always empty. So he decided to hunt in the deep part of the Gabizah forest.
And what he saw staggered him.
Lagakh, the dangerous and cruel woman at the head of the local orcs, was gathering fruit and calmly talking to a human. After a bit of observation, Gontrant saw the slavery collar around Lagakh¡¯s neck, and that surprised him even more. He followed the pair to the old castle¡¯s ruins. There he didn¡¯t saw any of the orcs he knew were living here.
Gontrant understood that something happened here and that the orcs were gone. Only Lagakh was still there, and she was enslaved to a strange and tall human.
He stayed there a bit to be sure of that, hiding in the bushes. And when he saw Lagakh go in the forest, he stalked here.
She went a bit away in the forest. And after half an hour of walking, she stopped, unsheathed her sword and practiced with it.
After a time Gontrant saw her getting mad and screaming after a big bush. She tore it apart with her sword and yell at it with all lungs. Gontrant felt a bit embarrassed at the spectacle of that strong woman taking her anger at a defenseless bush deep in the forest, where she thought no one would saw her.
Gontrant slowly moved back and went to check what the human was doing back at the ruins.
The human was alone in the ruins, that all what Gontrant was able to saw. He didn¡¯t want to venture to fast in it, it could be dangerous.
A little bit before nightfall, Gontrant left the forest, thinking about the reward he would get soon. Now that the threat on his family had disappeared, he would get to the Watch at Guerion and signal them that he had spotted a group of orcs.
There was a reward for this kind of information, but until now, it wasn¡¯t worth the risk to anger the orcs.
During the evening¡¯s meal, Marc thought about Lagakh¡¯s situation. He had to upgrade the orders he gave her before. He remembered having read some of Isaac Asimov¡¯s books, and he thought the Three Law of Robotics would be a good base to use. They would just need a bit of adjustment to fit the current situation.
¡°Lagakh.¡± He said to get her attention.
¡°Hm?¡±
¡°I will give you three new orders, they are crucial. You must consider them as Law to be followed at all time. Do you get it?¡±
¡°Yeah, important orders, I got it.¡±
¡°Pay attention. You¡¯ll have to obey those Three Laws for the rest of your life.
First: you may not injure me or, through inaction, allow me to come to harm.
Second: you must obey the orders given to you by me except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
Third: you must protect your own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.
Usually, I won¡¯t give you orders that could put your life in danger, but if I do you¡¯ll have to obey them. Except if they imply to kill me. There is nothing more important than my life, whatever I order you in the future, you will never be able to go against the First Law. Or against the two other Laws. Understood?¡±Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel.
¡°Yes, I get it. No matter what your future orders will be, I cannot break those Free Laws. I am your slave now and forever.¡±
¡°Yes, you are. It also meant that if someone tried to remove your collar, you¡¯ll have to prevent it, as you¡¯ll become a threat to me.¡±
¡°What?!¡±
¡°Yes, I¡¯m not stupid. I know that you hate me and that if one day that collar is removed, you will kill me as soon as possible. And if someone or something tries to free you, it will make you a threat to my life, breaking the First Law. So you must always keep your collar and prevent anyone or anything from removing it, even me.¡±
¡°...¡±
¡°Meaning that you must fight to stay my slave.¡±
¡°You... You¡¯re really smarter than you look like. If you know how much I hate you, you need to know that I will never stop looking for a way to kill you. To painfully and slowly kill you if possible, but to kill you, nonetheless.¡±
¡°I know. But with the Three Laws, you won¡¯t be able to do it. Now, it¡¯s enough for tonight, tomorrow, you will teach me about the local geography, the economics and all those kind of stuff. I want to know those stuff before going to Querian.¡±
¡°It¡¯s Guerion, you fucking bastard.¡±
¡°Squeak!¡± Paulet intervened in the conversation lightly head-butting Lagakh¡¯s left leg.
¡°Stop insulting me. And don¡¯t harm Paulet either. I can resummon it when I want, but that¡¯s not a reason to harm it. Now go to sleep, in the second bedroom.¡±
__________
¡®That fucking bastard! Motherfucker! Pig¡¯s shit! I will find a way to bypass those fucking Laws of yours and to kill you! And your fucking mushroom too.¡¯
Following her orders, Lagakh went to the shaman old bedroom. She took a bit of time to prepare it before going to bed, taking some of her stuff from her previous bedroom and blocking the door of her new one. But soon the collar started to itch at her neck, reminding her that she had to obey and she went to bed.
Before falling asleep she thought about the Three Fucking Laws. She couldn¡¯t find a way to break those, even more with the precision that she had to fight to keep her collar if necessary, Marc had insisted on that point. But she didn¡¯t lose hope.
She had freed herself from slavery once, she even got the title Shackles Breaker for that. She¡¯ll find a way to free herself once more. And like the first time, she would kill the slaver. It would just be more difficult. This human was smarter than her previous owner.
It would be harder to free herself from a human like this one, able to think smart, than from the fat and stupid one she had once belonged to.
__________
After breakfast, Marc and Lagakh walked outside the castle¡¯s ruins and in the forest, looking for more food to gather.
¡°So, tell me. What is the side of the country we are in? And also his name, political state and the likes.¡±
¡°We¡¯re in the kingdom of Heridygt, it is part of the Jhagie continent. It¡¯s a country of medium size, don¡¯t ask me more about the size, I don¡¯t know much. There is a human king, he¡¯s named Batou Porion and a lot of noble. The kingdom is at peace since last year. The local region is Deotau and it is ruled by the Baron of Guerion, name¡¯s Gary Hupe. It is a remote region with nothing of interest.¡±
¡°I suppose that¡¯s why your little band could act easily. What about the economics? What¡¯s the currency? And how much cost the fabrics we found in the basement?¡±
¡°Hrmf. The local economy is pretty bad, there isn¡¯t a lot of things to export and the region is not on a big commercial road. As long as you stay in this kingdom, you can use the heridygt¡¯s or the lavarian¡¯s pieces at the same value. There are copper, silver and gold ones. One hundred copper for a silver and one hundred silver for a gold. If you need to transport more money, it¡¯s best to use gems.¡±
¡°And in the others countries?¡±
¡°If a country is big enough, it often had his own currency. But the lavarian¡¯s pieces are valuable on the whole continent.¡±
¡°Ok. You didn¡¯t answer one of my questions. How many do the fabrics are worth?¡±
¡°They are worth between one and three gold. You want to know anything else, or can we work in silence?¡±
¡°I still have a lot of questions. For example, what is the major race in Heridygt? And how are the rest treated?¡±
¡°The majority are humans, closely followed by hobbits. But there is also a lot of other races: gnomes, dwarves, elves. Those races are pretty well considered and numerous, but the others tend to be outcasts or slaves. Like orcs and goliaths.¡±
¡°Any furries?¡±
¡°What are those?¡±
¡°Beastmen? Humans with tails and ears like animals. Sometimes with fur. There were quite popular in the stories on earth.¡±
¡°Why do you want to know?¡±
¡°Just answer the question.¡±
¡°Well they are, but not many. They tend to stay in their tribe, or pack, or whatever they called it. The gnolls are the most common. But some rich and perverted humans magically modifies their slaves for more ¡®exotisme¡¯.¡±
¡°Does that means what I think it means?¡±
¡°I don¡¯t know what you''re thinking. But if it is a pervert thought about those poor souls, then you are despicable.¡±
¡°Ahem¡ I wasn¡¯t thinking about that.¡± ¡®I totally was.¡¯ ¡°Anyway, will I have problems if I walk with you by my side in Guerion?¡±
¡°Normally no.¡±
¡°Normally?¡±
¡°As long I no one recognizes me it should be okay.¡±
¡°Care to develop?¡±
¡°I would rather not, it brings back memories I''d like to forget.¡±
¡°Fine, I won¡¯t force you to tell me everything of your past. But tell me a bit more about the situation.¡±
¡°Pfff. If someone strong enough, or with the good connexion recognize me and decide to make a ruckus, it could go back. I killed the last man who owned me, and he had a lot of friends in the arena.¡±
¡°I see. Well, if you wear a hood, it should be enough to hide your face from those bastards.
¡°It should yes.¡±
¡°You talked about an arena? Tell me more about it.¡±
¡°Yes. A place where fights are organized. There is multiples kind of fights. Some are between gladiators, other against beasts. Sometimes they are criminals who choose to try their chance in the arena instead of slavery. If they fight a number of times depending on their crimes, they are free. If you want to avoid any unnecessary attention, we will not get near it.¡±
¡°Why that?¡±
¡°Cause I fought a lot there the last time I was a slave.¡±
¡°Interesting, I¡¯ll think about that. Now continue to gather food. I will go back to the ruins and resume my studying. Don¡¯t forget to come back.
¡°Hrmf.¡±
¡°Come with me Paulet.¡±
Chapter 09 - The first minion.
¡°Huff¡ huff¡ huff¡¡±
|
You have leveled up!
You have gained two free stat points, two physical stat points and one Skill point.
Killing foes is the surest way of gaining experience, go on and kill as much as you want.
|
¡°Huff¡ Fuck¡ I almost thought I would die there¡ But they¡¯re so weak¡±
Looking around, Mick saw a lot of bodies, some were still moving but most of them were visibly dead. They had been slashed by the sharp claws of Mickey and his familiar, some of them had burnt mark were fireball had hit them.
Going through his notification he saw that he had gain level in a lot of Skills.
|
Skill Strong nails had level up!
Your nails are harder and sharper now. Keep slashing people and they¡¯ll become real claws!
|
¡®Nice, It will be cool to have claws.¡¯
|
Skill Hard scales + had level up!
Your scales are now harder and will block more damage. Keep being hit and they¡¯ll be able to endure everything!
|
¡®It¡¯s already enough to block most of these little fucker¡¯s hit. But I need to be ready for stronger foes.¡¯
|
Skill Familiar had level up!
Your familiar will be a bit more potent. Keep working with it and it will become a powerful ally!
|
¡®Hey, that¡¯s good if the little bird can fight with me. She actually was helpful during this fight.¡¯ ¡°Hey, Heop. Good work, you¡¯re a good girl. I¡¯m looking forward to what you¡¯ll be able to do in the future.¡±
Mick took the time to congratulate the bird of prey before going back to the waiting notifications. And as she landed herself on his shoulder and rub her head against his, it looked like she was enjoying getting praised.
|
Skill Fireball had level up!
Your little ball of fire is now bigger and hotter and will deal more damage. Keep burning your enemy and follow the path of a true Pyromancer!
|
¡®Ima become a dragon!¡¯
|
Skill Hard skin had level up!
Your skin is now harder and will block more damage. Keep being hit and it¡¯ll be able to endure everything!
|
¡®It¡¯s almost the same as for Hard scales +. Does the author of those notification lack imagination?¡¯
|
Skill Small body enhancement had level up!
Your body is now more able in all the fields. Keep using it and it¡¯ll become amazing!
|
¡®Hu? I already have an amazing body, but I won''t spit on any more power.¡¯
|
Skill Inflict fear + had level up!
Your ability to instill fear in your opponents is now stronger. Keep scaring everyone and steal the throne of the Bogeyman!
|
¡®What? The Bogeyman¡¯s real here? Ok¡¡¯
|
Skill Strong blood had level up!
Your blood is now thicker and will hardly flow out of your body. Keep bleeding and it¡¯ll be as thick as marmalade!
|
¡®That explains why I don¡¯t bleed very much. Well, I don¡¯t have a lot of injuries for beginning with, but I¡¯m used to seeing more blood. But if it becomes thick and stops flowing in my body, won¡¯t that be a problem? I hope whoever created this system must have taken it into account.¡¯
After that Mick looked at his status and saw he was now level 7, but he didn¡¯t saw his stat and Skill Points. Asking himself the same questions Marc had asked himself, he passed to the rest of his status. He noted he had gain one point in each of the on the left column of his status, Mick concluded that they were probably the physical stats and they had probably gone up thanks to his Small body enhancement Skill.
He also saw that his Prehensile tail Skill was at 4% of the level two, pushing Mick to use his tail and see the level up notification.
|
Skill Prehensile tail had level up!
Your tail is now agiler and will better respond to your brain. Keep using it to grab stuff and you¡¯ll be able to use it as precisely as your fingers!
|
¡®As precisely as my fingers? Hmm, I can think of some ways to use it.¡¯
The last change of interest in his status was that Heop had also leveled up, but only to level 5. It was still impressive in his eyes and he decided to pet the murdering bird a little.
Taking a good look around the room, Mick decided to finish the little red men. He had hoped to gain some experience this way and he did. He gained his level 8.
Reminding himself of the presence of a little blue woman, Mick looked for her. He found lying on the floor behind the altar. It seemed like she was hiding and fainted during the course of the battle. But when Mick touched her shoulder, she screamed, revealing that she was only feigning. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
¡°Ha! Play dead all you want, I have other things to do for now than taking care of you.¡± Mick chuckled and order Heop to stand guard while he was proceeding to some experimentations.
He took his attention on the dead bodies lying on the floor. Now that he was not busy fighting or killing them, he noted that he had managed to slaughter forty-two more of the ugly bastards, not counting the ones who flew back in the corridor. And that they were all males, and hideous to watch. Mick choose the biggest corp, the only one with a shirt, and he tried his Lesser skeleton animation Skill on it.
The body twitched once, twice, then went numb. Mick tried again but it didn¡¯t work either.
He had thought that this Skill would allow him to have skeleton minions to do his bidding. But something seemed wrong. Thinking more about the Skill, and particularly the name ¡®Lesser skeleton animation¡¯, it hit him. It was a Skill to animate skeletons, not zombies.
¡®Fuuuuck¡ I have to remove all the flesh¡¡¯
__________
Milian was really afraid.
First, she had been abducted by the red goblins. It was obvious for her that they had planned to use her as a sacrifice for a despicable ceremony.
The red goblins and the blue ones were at war since a time long before the elder of Milian¡¯s tribe could remember. According to the legends, the different species of goblins had been at war at least since the death of the last Goblin King. But her tribe, the Bolk tribe, and the Gark tribe were fighting each other for the control of the mountain since two hundred years.
And the blue goblins were losing the war. Confident in their superiority, the red goblins of the Gark tribe had kidnap Milian. They had made a false attack on the camp to lure away the warriors and manage to break in on the other side. They went all the way to the Bolk tribe¡¯s chief hut and killed his wives. The chief and his sons were fighting the diversionary force and couldn¡¯t protect the women. So the red goblins had managed to kidnap Milian, the only daughter the chief had. They had put her in a bag and flew away.
She was considered as a beauty by the goblin standard and that made convinced her that she was to be raped by the red bastards before being killed and eaten. But they had taken her deep in the mountain and then something strange happened.
She heard screams, at first she hoped her tribe was here to save her. But when the bag had been opened, her hopes were crushed.
The thing that had open the bag was a kobold. Or she first thought it was. When she saw the completely black eyes and the embryonic wings she understood it was not a mere kobold. It could only be some sort of monster or some uncommon kind of lizardfolk, it was maybe a mutant kobold after all.
Then the creature spoke to her, revealing long and sharp teeth, those of a predator. And it was grinning at her.
She screamed and tried to crawl away and it continued to talk to her. But she couldn¡¯t understand a thing, even if her life depended on it. And maybe it was.
But strangely the demon looked away from her, like if it didn¡¯t care. And he summoned a strange bird like she had never seen before. It was kind of normal for the situation, she was already living a nightmare. Why could it not summon some strange bird that looked like it was made of metal?
She also saw the demonic kobold - yeah it must have been that, some kind of demonic kobold - was a male. It was kind of obvious the moment you looked at it, he was completely naked. His manhood was in full view for whoever looked and it was really more impressive than the ones she had seen. Well this stranger was almost two meter high and goblins were barely one meter tall, so it was to be expected that he had a bigger penis than goblins, but even considering it was big.
But Milian didn¡¯t have more time to look at the demonic kobold. Red goblins were coming in the room. And they were much more numerous than before. At least sixty red goblins were rushing the intruder.
With a number so high, Milian knew they were going to kill the demonic kobold and then do their business with her. They should probably add torture to the program, as a sort of vengeance for all their dead, even if they were not her fault.
But once again, the strange and tall kobold did something unbelievable. He started to slaughter his opponents. They could barely harm him and they were not paying attention to her.
From her hiding point behind the altar, she looked the demonic kobold killing the Gark tribe¡¯s warriors. His bird was flying around the room and went after the eyes of the goblins, adding to the blood flying in the room and flooding the ground.
This nightmarish vision convinced Milian she was dreaming. She lied down on the ground, they weren¡¯t a lot of blood behind the altar. Then she closed her eyes and waited, she would soon wake up in her bed, back home.
But no. The sounds of carnage diminished and soon they were only the sound of a tall man walking and chuckling while petting his strange bird. She heard him coming near her and she did her best to remain still. But when she sensed his hot and blooded scales on her bared shoulder, she couldn¡¯t repress a shudder.
He talked to her again the went away. And soon strange noises started to come from his position.
When she found the courage to look above the altar, she saw him removing the flesh of a cadaver. From the shirt on the side, it must have been the chief of the Gark tribe, only him wore that kind of clothes in his tribe, it was a mark of dominance, a strange one according to Milian.
Looking at the demon working, Milian saw he was trying to remove the brain of the corp by the eyes. The actions of the demon and the stench of death in the air were too much for her, she fainted. For good this time.
__________
Thud.
Looking at the sound, Mick saw that the little blue woman had fainted. He didn¡¯t care and went back to his work. He was almost finished.
Once he managed to remove most of the brain, and scraped almost all of the flesh out of the skeleton, he looked at it with anticipation in his eyes. This time it would work. He activated his Lesser skeleton animation Skill again.
The skeleton twitched three times then went limp again. If it wasn¡¯t for the notification that followed the movement, Mick would have thought it had failed again.
|
Congratulation!
You have summoned your first skeleton, it¡¯s the first step on the road to becoming a true Necromancer. Continue the good work and you¡¯ll soon have an army of undead minions!
|
¡°Great. I have my own skeleton. Now, sit!¡±
The skeleton sat down cross-legged.
¡°Lie down!¡±
It obeyed.
¡°Roll over!¡±
The skeleton performed and Mick thought it was stupid to give those orders to his skeleton. Well, he had to test if the skeleton could understand his orders, but it was not a dog.
¡°Show me three of your fingers.¡±
The skeleton raised three fingers.
¡°Stand on one foot and raised the opposed arm.¡±
The mindless construct of bones took the pose for his master.
¡°Fine, so you can understand some structured orders, good. Now, scrape the flesh out of this body. Don¡¯t damage the bones.¡±
Mick sat on the altar and looked his skeleton worked. He was feeling tired. After all, he had just come into existence here and had already fought two times against multiple opponents. The second time was even a long fight. Even if he had not really been armed, he was more tired than he ever felt.
When the skeleton finished his task he stood right behind it and waited. Mick get close to the second skeleton and used his Skill on it.
The new skeleton twitch, like the first had, but no notification came to Mick. It could be normal, the previous notification had talked about the first skeleton, and it would be a bother to have a notification each time he raised a skeleton. It was already bothersome to have it for each level he gain during a fight.
Unfortunately for Mick, when he tried to order the second skeleton to move, this one didn¡¯t obey, it stayed there not moving at all. It had failed. Mick tried and failed two more times to raised the skeleton and concluded he could only raise one with his current Skill level.
Checking his status he saw a new section, dispatching information about the skeleton.

¡°Those fuckers were goblins? I thought goblins were green. Or is it they are different kinds of goblins? Is the blue girl a goblin too? And she was about to be sacrificed because she¡¯s not of the same skin color? The goblins are racists? Well, whatever, times to go looking for something to eat.¡±
Chapter 10 - Im a big piece of metal.
My name is Richard and here I am, ready to meet an old Champion. One of the two that are still alive from the last God¡¯s Game. Is an Elf, the other¡¯s a Draconic.
I¡¯m meeting him ¡®cause I¡¯m a Champion too. And an Elf.
But let me explain a bit how I arrived here.
Two days ago I was still living peacefully on Earth.
I went to a convention in Paris, yeah in France, after all, I¡¯m French.
So the convention, it was the Japan Expo. There I chatted a lot with a guy I met there. To be honest I make a lot of fun of him. The guy was cosplay as a dwarf, I like dwarves, but he did it with pink. Who put pink in a dwarf cosplay? On my side, I was cosplayed as a drow.
So I made fun of him. And argue that elves were always better than dwarves. Frankly, I don¡¯t care, I like both, and it depends on the universe. On Middle Earth, I found the elves better than the dwarves. In Naheulbeuk, it¡¯s the opposite. There are worlds like those of D&D or Warhammer (not 40k, the medieval one), where I found they are both excellent in their part and are equivalent at the end.
I digress, let¡¯s focus. At the end of the convention, I saw the pink dwarf waiting for the subway. I waved at him, he raised his middle finger at me, I made some little jumps like the retard I can be when I make fun of people. I don¡¯t often make fun of the others, but when I do, I can go full retard. And I went. Retard enough to jump, and slip.
Yeah, I slipped. Right under the incoming subway. I died, like a moron. I died cosplayed as a drow, making fun of a dude cosplayed as a dwarf.
But, as you already guessed, it wasn¡¯t the end.
I met a strange guy, with at least three broom stick stuck in the ass. Arnold, that was his name. He explained to me I¡¯ve been chosen to become the Champion of Ioustilininianios the Elf God, God of all the Elves. God of All the Elves, like all of them, the good, the bad and the ugly. Not like there is any ugly elves, but they are some very strange ones. Like me, but I¡¯ll tell you later.
Going back on the story. Arnold, he explained to me the situation. I¡¯m dead, a God took a liking on me, and I¡¯m transported to another world to compete on his name. Why did he choose me? Apparently, because I was dress like an elf and making fun of a dwarf at the moment of my death. It seems there is a lot of dwarf on Jezoi, and Ioustilininianios likes to make fun of his brother, the God of all the Dwarves. Strange right? The Elf God is the big bro of the Dwarf God. But once again, I digress. I must focus on what I¡¯m telling you.
So, once Arnold finished with me, I had to choose a race and some other stuff. I had a lot of points, but not so many choices. No, that¡¯s wrong. I had a lot of choices to make for my race, but they were all some kind of elves, it¡¯s normal when the Champion of the Elf God. Most people just call him the Elf God, because Ioustilininianios is too long and too bothersome to pronounce.
I looked at the different choices I had and choose. After that I had to choose my Skill Trees, and because I had chosen one of the costlier race I didn¡¯t have a lot of points to continue. I could have bought all the Skill Tree, but I would not have enough points to do what I wanted to do on the last step. I decided to choose the only one without a plus in the name. Those with the plus were those I knew I already have, my race and my condition has a Champion.
At the last step, the one about the Skills I managed to bought almost all of them. Even now, I don¡¯t know what some of them do. In fact, I know, the names are pretty descriptive and the elves have told me a little bit about them. But the detail of the Champion Skill Tree is unknown to them.
And that¡¯s one of the reasons I¡¯m meeting with the old Champion. He¡¯s named Louis, and he was the Champion of the Elf God one thousand years ago. For what I understand, he didn¡¯t win, but he managed to survive it and to stay alive until now.
For helping you wait, I¡¯ll show you my status. That¡¯s a thing in this world. It¡¯s like a video game, with stats and levels and all that. But no HP or MP. There is mana, but it¡¯s not quantified in the status.
In it, you¡¯ll see my race. You¡¯ve been waiting, right?

Yeah, I¡¯m an Iron Elf.
It means I¡¯m an Elf, but I¡¯m made of iron. Well, I¡¯m not completely made of iron of course, but there is a lot of it in my body, especially in my skin and my bones. It makes me able to take some strong hit in the face, and not bat an eye. Like last night, when I peeped in Leonara¡¯s tent while she was changing, she slapped me, and she¡¯s the one who felted pain.
Who¡¯s she? You want to know? She¡¯s one of the elves who escorted me to the meeting. She¡¯s a little ranger, and the cutest girl I¡¯ve ever seen. I really like her, and I didn¡¯t want to peep on her. That¡¯s right, I only wanted to have a little chat. But I¡¯ve learned my lesson, you ask before entering in a tent.
Aaaand I do it again. I digress.
Back to me. One of my Skill, the one about my stomach, it allows me to eat metal. Isn¡¯t that great? I¡¯ve tested it with a copper coin I¡¯ve found on the ground. After cleaning it, off course. And it worked, I gain a bit of experience in the Skill.
And as you can see, I didn¡¯t gain a lot of experience in most of them. It¡¯s because the elves don¡¯t let me train as I want. I understand that. I would be throwing fireballs everywhere if I was to train how I want. The only Skill I can train peacefully is the Extradimensional inventory Skill. It¡¯s kind of a mini and private dimension. I can store whatever I want inside as long as I touch it with my skin, it can contain up to one cubic meter by level of the Skill, and I can put outside whatever is inside with the part of my skin I want. I could literally shit gold pieces, if I had some of those¡ I¡¯m certain there is, but the elves don¡¯t want to talk about economics, politic or how the System really works. Not until I met with the old Champion.
Anyway, I train the Skill by putting in and out a wooden spoon the elves gave me. At first, I was doing it with my shirt, but they got bored of seeing me bare-chested. It¡¯s a fine shirt, a bit tight, but of good quality. It¡¯s tight, like all the clothes they gave me. I arrived naked, and it seems I¡¯m really bulky for an elf, but not for an iron one. They are rare, but usually, have more muscle than I have.
Oh! It just got to me! I didn¡¯t tell you how they found me!
Well, it¡¯s rather simple. They were waiting for me. The old Champion, not that they talk about him as ¡®the old Champion¡¯, they said ¡®the Great Champion¡¯, I¡¯m the one calling him ¡®old¡¯. Well, he must be, he was there one thousand years ago, for the last God¡¯s Game.
When I arrived on Jezoi, it was in a temple, in the middle of a strange symbol. I¡¯ll describe it to you later, it¡¯s the symbol of the Elf God. The room had only one entry, with a corridor leading to a place where I found my friends.
At first, they were wary of me. But I arrived from the inner chamber, I was a very rare kind of elf, and they were awaiting a Champion to come over there. So they cast two spells on me. The first to immobilize me, I was like a naked big iron statue of a bulky elf. The second spell was a translation spell, it allowed me to speak a language chosen and spoken by the caster for a period of one day. For what I saw, a day is 24 hours, like on Earth, but the case is still open.
Thanks to Lamariac, that¡¯s the name of the caster, I can talk with the elves that accompany me. There is five of them, and they are like a full elven team of adventurers, the kind of team from the stories and games. With a caster, a ranger, a healer, a swordsman and a tank.
The mage is the chief. Is name is Lamariac, as you already know. Is a tall man without any muscle on his body. Blond hair, a face that seems to have been sculpted with sharp tools to look even sharper than the tools themselves. It¡¯s the kind that makes you think he despises everything and everyone. He orders the others around by short and effective words, and they obey immediately. He wears a blue robe and uses a wooden staff with a blue gem on it. He also has a backpack and a purse on his side.
The ranger. It¡¯s Leonara, I already told you a bit about her. The cuteness made flesh. Red hair, not red red, red orange, you know? Like a Weasley. And strangely there are some strands of green hair on each side of her head, behind her ears. Sometimes when I look at her and her small and fragile body under her leather clothes I wonder if I¡¯m a pedophile, but no I¡¯m not. I made a fool of myself the first time I talk to her, I thought she was a kid. But it seems she¡¯s a grown adult, and the subject of her lake of feminine advantage is quite sensible. Like every ranger worth her salt, she has a short bow, arrows in her quiver and a pair of fine daggers. And she¡¯s the only one without a backpack, she needs to be agile when she scouts ahead of us, and a backpack would hinder her movements too much.
The other woman of the group is the healer, Wilenia. If I get it right, she¡¯s a priestess of the Elf God. That would explain why she always looked at me and avert her eyes every time I look at her, she blushes a bit each time, and never talk to me. It¡¯s kind of cute for a full woman to act like that, and it put a lot of pressure on me. I have a feeling I must do something great in my life or I will disappoint her. But when she¡¯s not looking at me I can see a beautiful woman, one who could put shame on Earth¡¯s most beautiful women. Her dress is more colorful than a rainbow and the stone of her staff shines with a lot of colors.
The two warriors. Not much to say about them. The swordsman uses two swords and is named Kulirion while the tank has a shield and sword and his name is Joralen. They both wear chainmail upon leather armor.
Enough with the presentations.
It¡¯s time for me to meet my predecessor. The old Champion of Ioustilininianios is about to let me in his office.
And I will have answers to a lot of questions I have, and maybe some answers to questions I don¡¯t have yet.
Chapter 10.5 - My first night.
I bet you¡¯re curious about the time I peep in Leonara¡¯s tent. Right?
Well, I¡¯ll to you about it.
First, you remember that I arrived on Jezoi in a temple? I¡¯ve already told you about that, so I won¡¯t develop it. The thing I want to remind you is that I was lead from there to a meeting with an old Champion. And the journey took two days, meanings we set camp in the forest during the night.
That¡¯s the night I will talk to you about.
We were walking through a dense forest, the others had backpacks with their stuff in it. I was only wearing the clothes they gave me and a walking staff.
It was like in the movies of LOTR, huge trees in all the directions. You can¡¯t walk more than two meters before you¡¯re forced to walk around the trunk of a tree. And the canopy is so thick that the sunlight barely reaches the ground. The ground itself is completely covered by dead leaves. I¡¯ve found strange that they could be so many dead leaves on the ground and so many living ones at the trees¡¯ crowns. When I asked how it could be possible, Wilenia explained to me that those trees were specials and had always new leaves. It¡¯s supposed to explain the fact that they always lose their leaves. Just after that Lamariac kindly told us, and particularly me, to shut up.
I continued to walk in the woods, enjoying the view of the grey and brown tree barks going from the red leaves on the ground to the dark green ones in the sky.
Around one hour before nightfall, we reached a clearing in the woods. Once again I found myself in a fantastical scenery. A small hill between the trees that allows a space where none of them grow. A perfect circle of about 25m in diameter. Right in the middle a circle of stone inside which one you can see the marks of fire.
What? You want me to go straight to the peeping part? Well too bad, I tell the story, I choose when I talk about the good part. And first I settle the scenery.
Where was I? Ah yes, the clearing.
So in the middle of the clearing there a small fire pit. And around it a few wooden bench. The place seems regularly used as a camping site, and the Elves have installed some accommodations. The fire pit, a stack of firewood near it, the benches, and thanks God - or should I say "thanks Ioustilininianios"? No, too long and bothersome. Maybe thanks to the "Elf God"? - there is an outhouse. A simple wooden room in the woods, with a wooden chair and a hole in it and a deep hole under it. On the side of the small hill, there is a place that seems to be provided for setting the tents.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
Leonara is already here, she arrived before us since she was scouting ahead. And she had prepared the fire in the firepit. She even started to cook two rabbits on it. That answers one of my unspoken questions: do the Elves eat meat? Yes, they do.
When we arrived the others start to unpack their backpack and to set the tents. Kulirion and Joralen had two tents each. They had their own of course, but also Leonara¡¯s, as she can¡¯t scout the forest with her tent on the back. And they had a tent for me, that¡¯s nice. Joralen made a sign to me to come near him, and he taught me how to raise the tents.
After all the tents had been set we ate the rabbits with some fruits they had in their backpacks they talk a bit about the next day of travel. Sometimes they spoke in the language used with the translation spell so I can understand them. But Lamariac often used another language, I think he really dislikes me.
After the meal, everyone except Kulirion went to their tent, he stayed up to stand guard.
Not feeling too tired and thinking I could talk a bit to Leonara before going to sleep, I went to her tent. She¡¯s so cute, and she didn¡¯t walk with us, so I¡¯m quite curious about her. Seeing a bit of light coming from inside the tent, and hearing a bit of noise, I concluded she was still awake. Then I made my mistake, I opened the tent a pass my head inside.
I froze, seeing her tiny back, she¡¯s naked and sited in a sleeping bag. Her skin seems so smooth and there are two green brands going down on it. They descend from the green strand in her hair and disappear beneath the sleeping bag.
She turned, she didn¡¯t know it was me and must have thought it was Wilenia. It must have been it because she turned without hiding her front. Allowing me to dumbly stare at her tiny perky boobs, I want to grab them. But, fortunately, she reacted quicker than me and one of her hand covered them, while the other slap at my face with all her strength. Her offended scream turned into a painful one and I quickly pull myself out of her tent.
Everyone stormed out of their tent and Kulirion grabbed me by the collar and dragged me away from the tent, he then proceeded to give me a good earful. I¡¯m feeling hot, my face red with shame. I tried to explain I didn¡¯t intend to peep, and he seemed to believe me. After all, he heard me walking through the camp, I wasn¡¯t trying to be sneaky. He explained to me how rude it is to enter a tent without asking for the permission first and I felt, even more, shame seeing I didn¡¯t even think about that. I¡¯m really stupid sometimes.
After a bit of time, Wilenia came to tell us that Leonara was really angry. And that I''ll truly be better off if I forget what I saw. I explained to her I didn¡¯t want to be rude, I¡¯m just uneducated in their ways, and I will apologize to the young girl as soon as possible.
Wilenia looked at me with a conflicted look in her eyes. I had a feeling she was glad to hear me say that but also disappointed. Like you can be disappointed by a stupid child that seems to understand nothing of what you tell it. She told me to never address Leonara as a young girl, she¡¯s a grown adult and if I don¡¯t want to worsen the situation, I must keep that fact in mind.
Everyone went to bed. Except for Kulirion that still had to stand guard for a part of the night. As a newly arrived and inexperienced person, I was exempt from it.
The next morning we ate some travel ration and I had the opportunity to present my apologies to Leonara. She seemed to accept them, but she looked at me with anger in her eyes before heading forward to scout out the way.
Chapter 11 - Meeting with Louis.
My heart beating in my chest. I¡¯m about to meet the old Champion of Ioustilininianios. It¡¯s kind of stressful. The dude survived the 4th God¡¯s Game. He¡¯s a bit more than a thousand years old. And he¡¯s some kind of really great hero for the Elves. The way the group that escorted me here look at me doesn''t alleviate the pressure either.
Ok, someone opening the door from the other side. My hearts beat louder and louder every seconds. Someone¡¯s coming out.like
Wut?
It¡¯s not an elf? Or is it? She¡¯s beautiful and everything, the most beautiful woman I¡¯ve ever seen. Wilenia is just some plain girl compared to her. Delicate face with pointy ears, long and silky silver hair, skin that looks really soft and warm, tall, big breast, but not too big either, and a pair of wings. The problem is the wings, since when do Elves have wings? Is she some kind of Elf the other didn¡¯t tell me about, or is she something else?
She¡¯s looking at me, there are kindness and patience in her eyes. She¡¯s waiting for something. Me? She expects me to say something? I can¡¯t. Not until I close my mouth anyway. It¡¯s hanging there since she passed the door.
She¡¯s smiling. Holly shit sweet mother of God! She¡¯s smiling at me! Fortunately, I was already seated, or I would have fallen on the ground.
She¡¯s saying something to the others. I don¡¯t understand what she¡¯s saying. I don¡¯t know if it¡¯s because she¡¯s using a language not covered by the translation skill, the others tend to do that when they don¡¯t want me to listen on their conversation. It may be because I¡¯m too dumbfounded to get the words. Her voice is so soft, it contains all the wisdom in the world. If she asks me to jump from a bridge, I¡¯ll ask her where is the nearest and do it.
What?! The others are leaving! No! Don¡¯t let me here alone with her! You¡¯re the last things that retain me from dying of awestruck! Shit, they¡¯re gone. And now she turns herself to look at me again.
She says something, I don¡¯t understand. She looks a bit surprised, I should have understood that. The others must have told her what language I can speak. Now I know, if I can¡¯t understand what she¡¯s saying, it¡¯s because my brain only registers the magnificence of her voice, the lump of flesh that¡¯s supposed to guide me can¡¯t get the words she¡¯s saying.
She seems to let go of the idea of talking to me and motions me to follow her. I don¡¯t move, well, I do. I see the room moving around as my body obeys to her, but my brain doesn¡¯t register the movements of my legs as I pass the door.
The next room is a comfy office, with a big wooden desk and in a corner a sofa and two armchairs. In one of the armchair is seated a tall and slender man. He has black and white hair, not the combination that ends up in a gray color, but an equivalent numbers of black and white strands of hair. Is wearing a long robe that hides the major part of his body, but if I can trust his arms, is thin and ripped. He could be beautiful, if not for the big scar that goes through his face. It¡¯s apparent that he had suffered a mighty blow and that it had been poorly treated. One of his ears is missing and the other is still sharp and pointy but in two long parts.
The elf looks at me and exchanges some words to the goddess of beauty, she then leaves the room. When she shuts the door behind her, the charm is broken and I come back to my senses.
¡°She¡¯s a beauty right?¡±
I turn to look at the elf in his armchair. He looks like he¡¯s enjoying the situation and motion me to sit in the other armchair.
¡°Please, sit down. I¡¯m Louis Broquier, Ioustilininianios¡¯ Champion of the 4th God¡¯s Game. And we have a lot of things to discuss. But first please, tell me your name, where you come from precisely and if it not too much, how you died.¡±
¡°I¡¯m Richard Guerrot, I was a french student, I lived in Paris. And I died like a moron, making fun of a dude in a dwarf costume. And you?¡±
Louis smiles at me. ¡°I lived in Paris too, I¡¯m glad to hear it¡¯s still there.¡±
¡°It grew really big and populated.¡±
¡°I was a farmer. And like you I died making fun of a dwarf.¡±
¡°Guess Ioustilininianios hasthe gam some kind of humor.¡±
¡°You¡¯ll see that. But I have to explain some stuff to you. Tell me what you already know and I will elaborate.¡±
We then pass some times where he explains to me how the system works. The Stats, the Skills, the Skill Trees. It¡¯s a bit complicated, but I¡¯m used to that sort of things, I¡¯m a gamer after all.
¡°So, now you know what almost everybody knows in the major sentient races.¡±
¡°Haha, I knew they would be secret knowledge. So what are the cheats?¡±
Louis smiles a bit then makes a more serious face.
¡°Well, there is two level of secret knowledge, as you call it. The first is what every long life sentient races know, and a lot of shorter lived ones suspect. There is more than three tier in the Skill Tree, the Elves know of five tier, and we think there is more. But you¡¯ll need to have immortal blood to know of that.¡±Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.
¡°At least five tier, but most people don¡¯t know more than three, got it. But you said I¡¯ll need immortal blood to know. The Elves are not immortals?¡±
¡°No we live for a very long time, and we do not grow old as the majority of the living. Comes a moment where you know how much time your body will carry you. Usually, you feel it between five and ten years before your death. It leaves you plenty of time to sort out your business. The Elves live between seven and twelve hundred years, it depends on the type of Elves, and your advancement on your Skill Trees. When you buy a Skill Tree of superior tier than those you already have, it extends your life. The extension is proportional to your first life expectancy, so the short lives don¡¯t really see the difference.¡±
¡°Wait, wait, wait. That means if you have a long life expectancy, like the Elves. You have more time to acquire Skill Trees of a superior tier. That makes you live even longer. That¡¯s cheated.¡±
¡°Yes, you can see that like a cheat, but most of the long life races are not interested in increasing their life expectancy.¡±
¡°And what about the other secret? The big one?¡±
I smile to Louis and he smiles back.
¡°The big secret. It¡¯s about the Champion condition. You can see the System see it as a race. It¡¯s important because it prevents anyone to ever seal or remove it.¡±
¡°What?! You can seal and remove Skill Tree?¡±
¡°Yes, but only the nonracial ones. And it¡¯s a very rare ability, extremely hard to use and even more to master. But let me explain to you the perks of being a Champion. It allows you to level the cap of the Skills level from 10 to 20. As everyone, we gain a Skill Point when a Skill reaches level 10, but we gain one more at level 15 and two more at level 20. There is a Skill that allows you to raise the cap even further, but it cost an extremely high price and is near impossible to level past level 10.¡±
¡°Wow, great.¡±
¡°I don¡¯t know if you have a Skill or even a Skill Tree with a plus in it.¡±
¡°I don¡¯t.¡±
¡°Too bad, but know that it doubles the effect of the Skill and lower the price of the next tier Skill Tree. I think it is possible to obtain a plus after meeting certain conditions, but I have never heard of someone other than a Champion having it. And they all had it since the start.¡±
¡°A shame indeed, but I didn¡¯t had a lot of points and I prioritized having more Skills.¡±
¡°Same as me. The next part is about the Skill Augmentations. That¡¯s another perk of being a Champion. It allows you to buy Augmentation to your Skills, giving them new effects and making them more powerful than normal Skills. The Heroes and Reincarnated also have this perk.¡±
¡°Stop! Heroes, Reincarnated? Explain that please.¡± Could it be? Like in those stories on the internet?
¡°The Heroes are people summoned by powerful mages that have found a way to gather enough power and perform a dangerous ritual. The summoned being come from other worlds, not always the Earth and all possess the Hero Skill Tree. This Skill Tree is not a racial one and can be sealed. For the Reincarnated, no one knows how or why they appear, but it happens at least once by century. They possess the Reincarnated Skill Tree, and this is a racial one. The Heroes and the Reincarnated are as powerful as the other, but they tend to be less powerful than the Champions.¡±
¡°Ok¡ That¡¯s some useful information. Anything else?¡±
¡°Yes, the last part. There is a Skill that Champions can buy, and one of his Augmentations. It¡¯s the Friend list Skill, it allows you to declare people as your friends to the System. It then grants you the possibility to talk to them from far away and to see their localization on your Personal map Skill, if you have it with the right Augmentation. Anyway, the Companion Augmentation of the Friend list Skill is the thing I advise you to buy as quickly as possible. Then for every person in your Friend list, it unlocks the possibility to buy the Companion Skill Tree and some of the Champion perks.¡±
¡°Really? Which ones?¡±
¡°Being in the Friend list of a Champion with the Companion Augmentation allows them to buy Augmentation for their own Skills. And if they buy the Companion Skill Tree, it grants them the possibility to obtain some powerful Skill, but also raise the level cap of their Skill from 10 to 15.¡±
¡°Then their Skill can become more powerful and they can get more Skill points? Am I right?¡±
¡°Yes, that¡¯s it. Also, if you have familiar, they gain the same advantages than the Companion, but without the need to be on your Friend list.¡±
If that¡¯s true, I will need some friends, and then I¡¯ll be able to¡ To what? Do I want to win the God¡¯s Game? No, I just want to see this world, I want to see the wonders it had to show. I¡¯m not interested in a competition. But if I can win it, why not? It depends on the winning conditions, they still haven¡¯t told us what they are.
¡°Louis. I can call you Louis? Tell me, what were the victory conditions for the 4th God¡¯s Game?¡±
Hearing my question, he seems to lose a bit of his smile, I can see sadness in his eyes.
¡°For me. We had to battle against each other. The winner of a fight was decided when the other was either dead or forced into submission. Only five of us survived the Game, and only two of us are still alive. We were a thousand at the beginning and the Game lasted for almost ten years. But I will not tell you more, it reminds me of too many painful memories. I truly hope you don¡¯t have the same conditions.¡±
¡°I still don¡¯t know the conditions. I also hope I will not have the same victory conditions than you. I have another question. Who was the beauty that leads me inside your office?¡±
¡°She¡¯s Arabella, and she¡¯s one of my familiars. At the beginning, she was just a little fairy, but she has grown tall and is now considered to be a Fairy Queen by the System.¡±
¡°Impressive, maybe I should have taken a fairy instead of a whisp when I choose my familiar.¡±
¡°Don¡¯t worry, you¡¯ll be able to contract other familiars if you level the right Skills and bought the right Augmentations. I personally have 23 familiars.¡±
¡°23?!¡± I exclaimed, if the dude has 23 beautiful women like her, his nights must be quite occupied. ¡°They are all these beautiful?¡±
¡°No, Arabella is the most charming of them all.¡±
¡°Are they all humanoid?¡±
¡°Most of them are. When a familiar grew in puissance, it can evolve. If their master treats them well they have a tendency to choose a form that allows for a better communication or a better effectiveness in their task. But you will find it in due time. For it is dinner time and I am hungry. We will talk more after.¡±
¡°Well, I¡¯m quite hungry too.¡±
¡°Good, my cook is the better of the kingdom and you and Lamariac¡¯s group are invited.¡±
Chapter 12 - Visiting the caverns.
It¡¯s been two days since Mickey had started to wander through the Red Goblins caverns.
At first, he thought the place was kind of an underground temple. But in fact, it was more of a maze of never ending corridors. Most of those were just long holes dug in the stone, the way they seemed to go were mostly random than plan. They were a lot of crossing between the corridors and they often lead to some big cavern.
Most of the corridors were annoying Mickey, as they dug to allow goblins to use them and they didn¡¯t think of the comfort of taller races. Before his death Mick wasn¡¯t a tall man, measuring 1m67, but now, with his new races, he was 2m12 tall. Unfortunately for him, he didn¡¯t know of this as his sense of measurement was distorted by his body change, or else he would have celebrated it in a way or another. The jumble of corridors wasn¡¯t great for his familiar either, its ability to fly severely diminished. Only his skeletons could walk with ease.
The main use of the corridors seemed to be to allow the occupants to go from one cavern to another, a limited amount of those corridors were big enough to allow Mick to walk with a straight back, and a little number of them were really built by a more technological race. But compared to the Red Goblins, it wasn¡¯t a hard task.
The room was Mick first arrived on Jezoi and fought the little fuckers seemed to be part of an old structure. It had been built long ago by people who weren¡¯t there anymore. And the biggest corridor, the one who would probably lead to the exit, had collapsed. Of course, the Goblins hadn¡¯t bother themselves to dig the way out. No, they had found the place by luck in digging at random and used it as it was.
Along with his wandering, in the maze of corridors going up and down in every direction, Mick had fought and killed a lot more of red goblins. But they were fewer and seemed to have been weaker too. The Champion only get 2 level out of this. He also practiced some of his skills, particularly his Lesser skeleton animation Skill and his Rot Skill. When he remembered the existence of the second one, he tried to use it with no effect on a living goblin, then on the dead body of the same goblin. It made the flesh start to stink, not that the goblin was smelling good beforehand. The smell reminded him the time a power outbreak had caused all the meat in his parent¡¯s fridge to rot, he almost threw up at the moment. But in five minutes all the flesh on the body was gone, living behind a perfectly clean skeleton.
Discovering that he could have done so for the first body he cleaned before raising it as a skeleton, he felt idiotic.
After a bit of time wandering underground, Mick began to feel tired. He used his Personal map Skill to retrace his steps to the only cavern with bedroll he saw. It was the old personal room of the Red Goblin¡¯s Chief.
Putting his three skeletons on guard duty he ate a bit of the food he had stolen in the goblin¡¯s pantry, half burning it in an attempt to cook it with a fireball. He then looked back to his notifications and status.
|
Skill Night vision had level up!
Your eyes are more able to see in the dark now. Keep walking in the night and go peep on the dark world!
|
|
Skill Lesser skeleton animation had level up!
You''re better at summoning the gloomy skeletons in the peoples now. Keep raising them, and create your own friends!
|
|
Skill Rot had level up!
You can make stuff rot away faster now. Keep accelerating the natural process and get rid of the evidence!
|
|
Skill Prehensile tail had level up!
You have a better control of your tail now. Keep practicing with it and you¡¯ll be able to do nice stuff with it!
|
The notifications were still pretty insulting. What was he¡¯s supposed to do with his tail? ¡®I don¡¯t know who write those fucking notifications, but if I meet him one day, I¡¯ll let him know what I think of it.¡¯
Now that he was in some kind of a safe place. The goblins were afraid of him, he had killed all those who had tried to harm him, and the others had fled, terrified, sometimes with a fireball rushing after them. Mick was pretty confident none of the goblins would attack him during his nap - he couldn¡¯t call it a night, he had no idea of the time it was - and the three skeletons he had were standing guards.
He would love to have more minions, but after the level three the skill was really harder to level, simply raising skeletons seemed to be enough anymore. So he tried one other of his Death Skill Tree¡¯s Skill, the Ghost conjuration one.
But the only thing he conjured was disappointing. It was some kind of mist floating in a corner of the room. The thing was useless as it was, unable to interact with anything or to produce the faintest sound. When Mick touched it, he only felt a feeble cold on his hand. But the thing pretending to be a ghost was obeying Mick. It went down or up at command and was even able to condense or disperse itself a bit. At the end, Mick ordered it to disperse itself from the entrance to the room and into the cavern leading to it. It was like the fog in a cheap zombie movie¡¯s grave yard and Mick hopped it could spook a little more the goblins into not attacking him during his rest.
The ¡°morning¡± came to Mick with the sound of a notification.
|
Let¡¯s go!
All the Champions have been called on Jezoi, as such the God¡¯s Game has truly started.
Go and find the way to win, making your God proud of you!
|
Like Marc before him, Mick remembered Arnold telling him that the God¡¯s Game¡¯s victory conditions would be given to the Champions once all of them would be on the planet. But it seemed like it wasn''t the case, Arnold had lied to him, or something else was to happen soon. Either situation, Mick didn¡¯t like it, he felt cheated.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.
But he had other things to do than to wait for another notification.
He ate a bit of badly cooked meat and resumed his search for the exit.
__________
The Red Goblins were afraid, a strange demon was roaming their home and killing all those who had the bravery to stand against him. He was even soiling the dead by raising their skeletons or making their flesh rot away.
For those smart enough to avoid him or too afraid to oppose him, the demon mostly let them ran with a devilish laugh. But at some, he had sent a skeleton to chase them or threw a fireball.
And now he was resting in the chief¡¯s room. Three skeletons were guarding the entrance, but more could wait inside, and the strange bird was nowhere to be seen. More frightening was the strange fog that seemed to ooze in the big cavern from the chief¡¯s room.
The Goblins were wondering what could have done the chief and the shaman to bring upon themselves and all the clan such a catastrophe.
The demon had even plundered their meager meat reserved.
The survivors were the eldest of the clan, the youngest, the wounded and the women. As they were too weak to fight or forbidden to do so. The Goblins had no concept of gender equality, had forced their female to stay home to tend to the children.
They had gathered themselves in one of the biggest caverns, near the entry of their lair, and were wondering what to do.
Should they try to appease the demon? They had no idea of what he might want to leave them.
Should they run away in the wilderness? In the state of their clan, it was the same as collective suicide.
Should they fight? Some argued that if they were to all attack at the same time they would definitely win. But they were quickly silenced.
Another possibility could be to pledge themselves to the demon and hope for him to protect them as part of his people. But they didn¡¯t think a being so powerful would accept such frail followers.
__________
The fear hadn¡¯t leave Milian since she awoke anew in the dark room. The small lights had died.
It was dark, and even if she had good eyes, she couldn¡¯t see in the complete dark of the room. But the smell was there, the smell of shit, the smell of blood and a faint smell of rot. Those were the component of the smell of death. She was in a dark room with dead bodies. Her nightmare was still a reality.
She didn¡¯t hear anything and concluded she was alone in the room. The demonic kobold had left the room. And he had left her here to die.
She was certainly going to die here. Alone. Far from her clan, her family, that kind goblin that seemed to be nice to her.
But she hadn¡¯t been raped by the goblins of the Gark tribe. That was good right? Once dead and in front of her ancestor, she would at least be able to tell them she didn¡¯t die soiled by the enemy.
But no. If she died like that, she would be laughed upon by her ancestors. She had to at least try to find a way out of here.
She couldn¡¯t let herself die here. But she was so afraid, so alone, so hungry and thirsty. Her situation was a lost cause. She was lost.
No!
She mustn¡¯t let those emotion get to her. She had to fight.
She would find the way out.
She would go back to her clan.
She would make her family proud.
And she would talk to that nice goblin.
Or she would die trying, and not lamenting herself.
She walked forward, her hands in front of her. And when she found a wall she kept walking, a hand on it and the other in front. She would find the way out, hopefully before dying of thirst.
__________
When he walked outside of the room he had slept in, Mickey was greeted by a surprising view.
There was light in the room. And those light illuminated a strange scenery.
Three little red goblins were prostrating themselves in front of him.
Each one had a little pile of things gathered in front of them. Like offering. The one on the left was offering weapons, the one in the middle presented jewels and clothes, and the one on the right had a cooked meat on a plate.
Mick was first taken aback by the situation. But he seemed came to the conclusion that the goblins were offering him gifts in the hope he would not kill them, and maybe leave the place.
Well, too bad for them, he didn¡¯t know where to find the way out. His Personal map could greatly help him to it, as it allows him to know map the area and avoid returning where he had already searched.
Anyway, he would gladly accept the offerings. He first ordered each of his skeletons to stand behind each of the goblins. Making sure they would not run away. Then he walked to the goblin on the left and examine the weapons.
They were only crude iron daggers and wooden spears. It seemed like the only swords the tribe had were still with the deads in the temple. He didn¡¯t bother himself with those things, his claws were already sharper than the dagger and his fireballs could reach further and probably hit stronger than the spears.
The middle pile, with the jewels, was even more disappointing at first. It was a mass of bones collars or bracelet. Rummaging a bit through it Mick found a nice ring that seemed to be made of silver. The goblins musted had found it somewhere else, because Mickey seriously doubted they could make something like that. The ring couldn¡¯t fit at his fingers, so he put it in his storage, for later use. He also grabbed the nicest piece of cloth and tied it around his waist. He was tired of being in the nude all the time. The others were mere ragged to be burned in his eyes, but they were still better quality than was were wearing the three goblins.
The thought of collecting all the jewels and the weapons in his storage to keep them as souvenir crossed his mind. But he reasoned himself, they would be completely useless and would waste place.
Looking at the last offering, Mick smiled. The meat looked cooked with better skills than his own. He grabbed it and ate it while examining the goblins. The meat wasn¡¯t really good, but it tasted better than the half raw half burned meat he had for his last two meal.
The three little goblins were shivering in front of him. Looking closely at their form and their clothes - not just the state of them this time - the half draconic half devil saw they were female goblins.
He reached down to the one on the right, the nearest to him right now, and raised her head with his hand. She was not bad looking, for a goblin. Her face could have passed for a bland one on a human body, but she had teeth so crooked Mick felt shivers on his spine. He cast her aside and she ran away with a scream. He let her go with a small laugh.
The goblin in the middle was a bit uglier but not too unsavory to repeal the Champion. And most important, her teeth weren¡¯t as crooked as the first one. Mick patted her on the head and forced her back in her prostrating position.
When he looked at the third goblin woman, Mick was flabbergasted by the view. She was beautiful, with delicate traits, a plump mouth, two round eyes and even some cute freckles. But she had such a big nose, it was almost frightening. She had a nose worthy of those Gallic men in the comic Ast¨¦rix and Ob¨¦lix. It was kind of hypnotizing. But it made her a no go for his plan and he cast her aside, like the first she ran away.
Having made his choice, the red goblins¡¯ bane motioned the little woman to follow him as he returned to the room he had slept in. Reluctantly she went after him, more scared of what he could do to her if she refused than what she knew was going to happen.
Chapter 12.5 - Its easier with a tail.
Back in the room he had slept in Mick started to feel some stress building inside him. A lot of stress actually. He had acted all powerful and strong in front of the three little red women. And as long as it was just about scaring them, he was pretty confident in his capability. But now, he was in a room, with a woman and no real experience.
He had studied a lot of on the matter on the internet, but he had never had actual practice. After all, he was the bullied kid at home, and at school, from kindergarten to college. He had never had a female friend and even less something remotely approaching a girlfriend.
The closest thing he ever had was when his older sister got so drunk she masturbated herself with her bedroom''s door open, one weekend their parents weren¡¯t home, and he looked at her from the corridor. When she saw it, she beat him and locked him in his own bedroom, before resuming her solitary play. The following morning she had forgotten about it and let Mick locked in his room until their parents came home.
That, plus his researches, was all the experience he had on the female subject.
And now, he was about to rape a female goblin. He knew it was a rape, she was only doing it because she was scared for her life, and she was right to be afraid.
He was about to rape her, but he wasn''t stressed about the fact it was an immoral act. No, what was worrying him was the fact he could make a fool of himself. He didn¡¯t know how he could live with himself if he lasted only a few second or if he couldn¡¯t raise it, or if his side would be enough. Her pleasure wasn¡¯t concerning him, but he had to be a capable man on the hard and long part of the act, also on the time it was going to take.
He knew that he could always kill her, but if he could avoid to do it and make her a good servant, that would be for the best.
Stop! He would stop bothering himself with fears associated with his old body. He had a new one, with scales all over it, even down there. And this body was furnished with a big penis.
They were in the room, Mick, his victim, his bird and his undeads. Too many people for his liking.
¡°Stand guard outside, and don¡¯t come in unless I call for you.¡± Realising all, but the red goblin, were looking at him - Heop was, the undeads didn¡¯t have eyes, but he could felt their stares - he ordered his minions to stop bothering him, and to ensure them some privacy.
The former human went to sit on the pile of blankets he had arranged into a parody of mattress a few hours back. He removed his new loin cloth and snap his finger to get the attention of the girl.
__________
*Snap!*
When she heard the monster snapped his claws Giya was startled, she understood he wanted her to look at him. So she did, with her shivering body.
The scaly demon was sit, his legs apart and his sex in full view. She was surprised by the size of it, now that she took a good look at it, it wasn¡¯t standing but was already bigger and longer than all those she had previously seen.
She was considered rather beautiful in her tribe, and so the chief and some of the strongest warriors had already taken her. She had a bit of experience for her young age, she was barely 14, an adult goblin yes, but a young one nonetheless. The females of the clan were weak, and the males could take whoever they wanted, as long as they could do it without being beaten by the others men, the only two situations when a woman couldn¡¯t be used was when she was visibly pregnant, or if she was under 14 years old. If a man took a girl before adulthood, all the women would beat him unconscious, then cut his manhood, cooked it and feed it to him, after that he would be allowed to die, his gut tore off by his anus. It was a fate frightening enough to restrain all the male goblin, and a custom shared by all the goblins, without distinction of skin color or tribe.
But Giya was considered an adult goblin, so they could do with her as they liked. And they had, multiple times. That was one of the reasons she had been chosen to bring the offering to the demon. The others were because she was young, rather beautiful and brave or stupid enough to volunteer.
She knew what it was to be with a man, sometimes unbearable, often painful, always uncomfortable. Sex was a pleasant thing for men and she had heard it could be one for women too, but she had never felt anything pleasurable in it. So she wasn¡¯t scared of the pain, only to not procure enough pleasure and be killed for it, she was rather confident in her ability to make the scaly demon come, as the men always do it when they used her.
What she hadn¡¯t thought about, was the sheer difference of size, his was at least two times bigger than the previous chief¡¯s one, and he wasn¡¯t hard yet. Another thing she hadn¡¯t thought about, was the fact that this penis was scaly. It had scales from the base of the member to the tip of it. The scales looked tiny and smooth, but they were scales.Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings.
__________
Growing tired of seeing the goblin starring with googly eyes at his dick and ignoring his motioning to come closer, Mick stood up and walked to the girl.
She continued to stare at his loin and only reacted when he put his hands on her shoulders. He then moved his right hand along the woman arm, ignoring the shivering, he grabbed her left hand and guided it to his dick. He closed her fingers around it and started massaging himself with her tiny hand.
The sensation was strange to Mick, having someone else stroking his cock was a first to him, at first it wasn¡¯t very pleasurable. But when she started to understand what he was waiting from her and she used her other hand, his penis started to harden itself. Having ten little fingers massaging him on their own was a pleasant sensation to the inexperienced Mick. These fingers weren¡¯t soft, they were full of callus, but they were warm and not his.
When his dick was fully erect, and the foreskin out of the way to reveal a pink and unscaled glans, he put his hands on the goblin¡¯s head and push it to his cock. Mick pushed the tip of his manhood on the girl''s lips until she opened it.
__________
She had never done anything like this with her previous partners. The man had always pushed her to the ground and then put their dicks in her. Sometimes in front, sometimes by the back, but always in her vagina. And yet, the scaled demon was forcing her to use her mouth.
At first, he had pushed his dick to the back of her mouth, it almost made her puke on him. Fortunately, when she had started to gag, he had pulled himself out and motioned her to use her tongue on top of her hands. She obeyed, feeling completely lost at what to do.
After a bit of time at it, he stopped her and motioned her to follow him as he sat on the blankets. She went after him and there he grabbed her by the shoulder, turned her and made her sit on his lap. He tore away her clothes and started to massage her.
It was strange, she was naked, seated on a big and strong naked man lap, his dick standing hard between her legs. And it was him who was massaging her. He was caressing her body, feeling her skin under his hands, and she was feeling his scales on her back and wherever his hands went. The scales were rather smooth, not rugged like she first thought they would be. And the hand motions were strangely feeling good.
Having her body being languorously fondled was the first pleasing sensation she had ever felt during sex. The demon even grabbed her small breasts, making her feel even more pleasure and moaning a little. It was a surprise for her, she was feeling something else than uncomfortable feelings. After that, he kissed her on the neck, while his left hand was massaging her left breast and his tail was squeezing the right one. And while of that was rather enjoyable, his right hand went down, between her legs and started to caress it.
When his claws spread her lower lips and started to massage the little bit of flesh they revealed, Giya felt something strange growing inside her, it came from the lower part of her abdomen, right beneath the demon right hand. A strange, warm and pleasing sensation that went all over her body and made her mind strange, she was wondering if the men felt that when they took her. If the sex was supposed to feel like that, she could understand why the male liked to do it. Her hands were grabbing at his arms and her lips were slightly apart, letting out some cute moans.
Surprising her in her thought, the demon went even further and introduced one of his claws in her. This act made the warm sensation grow stronger and she felt some liquid start to flow outside of her. She first thought she had peed herself and that the demon would kill her for that.
But no. It seemed like the scaled being was rather pleased with the outcome as he lifted her a bit and put the tip of his dick just beneath the entrance of her womanhood. He then lowered and penetrated her.
It was the biggest penis she had ever had in her, but it didn¡¯t felt as painful as what she was expecting. It was big and it stretched her, but there was also some pleasant feelings accompanying the pain. It was also a bit scaled, but even that wasn¡¯t uncomfortable, as the scales were soft and were even strangely adding to the pleasure as they rubbed on her inside. When he reached the bottom of her womanhood he wasn¡¯t all in her, but he stopped and let her adapted a bit to the situation. Her mouth was slightly opened and her mind was lost, she had never thought she could feel such things.
Then he started to move inside her. He moved faster and stronger with every movement and also resume to massage her breast with his hands. He was holding her against him and making sure to not let her fall too hard on this dick by securing her with his tail. Her moaning slowly becoming louder and louder, encouraging the demon to continue.
Feeling him moved faster and faster inside her was making the warm feeling stronger and stronger. The sensation grew and made her feel warm all over her body. Each passing second making her feel more pleasure until the feeling exploded inside her and with a scream of pleasure, her mind went blank.
__________
After she passed away with her orgasm, Mick continued until he himself came.
He didn¡¯t pull out and came in the little red goblin. At first, he was terrified of the situation, not sure of what to do, but when he took the matter in hand, he felt more and more confident. He used a lot of knowledge he had gathered on the internet. He had gently stimulated the girl in multiple locations before going for the good part, having a tail was helpful, as it allowed him to stimulate her in one more place than a human being. He also listened to her moanings, concentrating his activities on the location that made her moan louder. He suspected that it wasn¡¯t the first time she had sex, but if had to guess, the goblins men weren¡¯t good lovers.
Anyway, when he finished his business with the first woman he had laid his hands on, he went to take another little nap. He was starting to like the life here, and if he could make the place comfortable enough he could turn it into a strong place to defend. But that would be for another time, first, he had to bathe in the glory of making a woman orgasm in his first time having sex ever. And gaining levels in his Small body enhancement and Prehensile tail Skills while doing so.
Chapter 13 - In the bottom of my pit.
My name''s Thomas, and I hate my current situation.
Why? Why did I have to choose this race? Why did I have to die? And why did I have to appear right in the middle of a ceremony in the biggest dwarven fortress of this fucking world?!
Yeah, a fucking God chose me to be his Champion in a fucking game on another fucking world. Why did the fucker choose me? If I get it right, it¡¯s because I died honorably. Meaning I died like a moron trying to save the fucker cosplayed as a fucking Elf when he went under a train. When I saw him slip and fall in front of the train, I rushed and jumped to push him out of the way. And I¡¯ve been it by the bloody train, like the other moron, I don¡¯t even know if he saw me.
After that, I met a cold dude named Arnold and then had to create my character for this Gods¡¯ Game, or whatever. I¡¯ve been chosen by the God of the Dwarves, the principal one, they have more if I get it right. And as such I only had dwarves as options, I chose the one I suspected would bring me the most power, it was one of the costlier, and with a name that didn¡¯t spook me. I¡¯m a Depth Dwarf. Like a Dwarf that¡¯s supposed to live more in the depths than the other dwarves.
Once I¡¯ve finished my choices I¡¯ve been transported to this world, Jezoi. And, thanks to fucking Duordin, I¡¯ve arrived in the middle of a ceremony in his fucking name. I was naked, and standing on a big altar. Naturally, they took it as an affront to their faith. Obviously lot of them threw themselves at me, I defend myself, but at one against so many, I didn¡¯t have any chances.
And here I am, down a fucking hole, in a fucking prison. Still naked. A lot of bruises on my skin. At least once a day they take me out of the pit and beat me half to death. I think they¡¯re trying to interrogate me, but as I don¡¯t speak the language I can¡¯t explain to them the situation. And even if I could, I don¡¯t think they would like it. The way they look at me, particularly at my arms and legs show they are wary of me. I have strange tattoos on them, like, they make my fists and feet almost black, and go up on my arms and legs like flames, stopping at my elbows and knees. I can also see that my skin is becoming stonier where it was broken, it seems like my Stone skin Skill is slowly changing my smooth and white skin into a rough and gray one, like a stone.
I¡¯m worrying for my life a little more every day. One day they will grow tired of me and terminate me, or just leave me to rot in my pit. They only feed me once a day, they throw a bowl of gruel and a flask of water in my hole, marking the start of the day. As you can guess, it¡¯s not enough for me, so I trained my Stomachs Skills, yep, I have two skills with the word ¡°stomach¡± in it, one for metal and the other for stone. They allow me to eat those stuff, it doesn¡¯t make metal or dirt taste good, but thanks to another Skill, Iron teeth, I can chew and digest the gravel around me, and the bowl from which the gruel is dispersed when it hit the ground. It satiates me at least.
I have other Skills that can allow me to fight back or to break stuff, but the other dwarves are too tough to be moved by those. Only my mighty hammer can do a thing, but it can¡¯t change the fact that I¡¯m outnumbered. Yes, I have a hammer, it¡¯s my familiar, a Hammerite, and I can resummon it whenever I want. I didn¡¯t really think when I chose it, the name sounded like a hammer and I was in need of a weapon. I ended up with a living hammer that can slowly walk around but can¡¯t really fight by himself. But the little dude can hold my hand when I grab it, it made it almost impossible to disarm me, and it¡¯s a really good thing when you¡¯re naked and surrounded by angry warriors. I named it Mjoln, I know, it¡¯s not very original, but it seemed to like it, so everything¡¯s fine.
Anyway, it¡¯s been two weeks since I interrupted the ceremony, and I had time to go through my status enough time to know them by heart, I have nothing else to read.

During those two weeks, I also received some notifications. Some about the fact that my ¡°starting period¡± and ¡°starting advantages¡± had ended, as if I truly had some ¡°starting advantages¡±. That news made me very angry and temporarily forgot about the previous one stating that all the Champions had arrived on Jezoi. I lost myself this day and hit the walls with Mjoln, my jailers didn¡¯t feed me that day. I only reclaim my spirit when I fall on the ground, exhausted and panting like a dog after a full day of walking in the countryside.
But there are two special notifications that I remember very well, the third and fourth ones addressed to all the Champions. I will show them to you, it¡¯ll be easier than explaining them.
|
Congratulations!
All the Champions have ended their starting period. You will now be informed of the victory conditions.
The winner of the Gods¡¯ Game fifth edition, will be the one whom will have impacted the more the people of Jezoi. Go on, leave your name in their minds and made them feel strong emotions about you!
The game will enter his last phase when only ten Champions will remain alive.
|
After reading this one I thought I must have been well placed in the Classement, considering all the dwarves around here were despising me. The notification didn¡¯t state if they had to love or hate you, just to remember your name and ¡°feel strong emotions about you¡±. The fact that only ten of us could make to the last phase of the game is rather worrying, it means that some Champions will probably search and kill other Champions to thin out the competition.
But the last notification was the most frightening one. It gave away the fucking Classement!
|
One week Classement.
It¡¯s been a week since the Gods¡¯ Game really started and the Champions will be allowed to see the current Classement.

I was first in the Classement! It means I¡¯ll be the target of all the player killer! And the ¡°Status¡± column, it only shows me my status or the dead ones, but I would bet my legs there is a way to see the info on the living Champions. If one of the player killers find a way to get my current location, I¡¯m done. I need to escape, and quick! The fact they could know which God I was the Champion could allow them to obtain some information on me and my capabilities.
Something else a bit worrying in the Classement. Almost three hundred of the Champions are already dead. Only a week after the start of the fucking Gods¡¯ Game.
Anyway, it¡¯s been three days since the Classement announcement, and I¡¯m still in the fucking pit. And now a new notification pop up. This one comes now, as I¡¯m thinking I¡¯m going crazy talking in my head as if somebody could hear me, or read my mind. Ah!
|
Congratulations!
As the owner of the first place of the Classement, you are awarded 1,000 Perks Points!
Those points can be used in the Perks Store, available anywhere to the Champions.
|
Wut? Perks? Perks Points? Perks Store? What¡¯s that stuff? And I got one thousand of them? Great, I suppose. Well, I won¡¯t lose anything in checking it I suppose.
¡°Perks Store?¡± I say out loud as if I¡¯m talking to the walls of my pit. But what followed was something that could possibly allow me to escape the shitty situation I am in.

There! It¡¯s there! I¡¯m sure with the Classement expert Perk you can see through the questions marks on the Status Column! But I can¡¯t be 100% certain of this, like for my character creation, I can¡¯t get more information on the veritable use of those Perks. I can guess for most of them, but my guess is worth as much as yours.
You know what? Fuck all those shit, I¡¯m feeling lonely down there. I hadn¡¯t had a proper conversation since my meeting with Arnold. The dwarves up there don¡¯t speak the same languages as me and my little Mjoln can¡¯t speak at all. I¡¯ll go for the Servant Perk, maybe it will grant me a true conversation, and also some information.

Well, that¡¯s great, I¡¯ll have another dwarf like me in the bottom of that pit. It''s rather narrow there, and as I am a straight, and a bit perverted, man, I would rather be forced to share my little bit of space with a woman than with a man. So, go for a woman. The same age as me or not? I can put whatever I want there, I could make a baby or a granny. That would be weird¡ I¡¯ll make her a bit younger than me, something like 3 years younger.
Her name? I have no fucking idea how to name her. What would be a good name for a female dwarf? How about ¡°Silma¡±? Yeah, it sounds good for a first name, but she also needs a family name, I can¡¯t just give her mine. It¡¯s not a good name for a dwarf. It has always been hard for me to choose my characters names, but here it¡¯s for a real person, I think, so I can¡¯t make it a bad name. I need to think hard about it. Do dwarves have family names here? Or is it a clan name? Only the name of one parent, like Johnson is the son of John? I will give her something that could also pass as a nickname. How about ¡°Depthborn¡±? It¡¯s a pun of the way how she¡¯s created, in the small depth of my pit, and about the fact that she¡¯s a Depth Dwarf, like me. It¡¯s a bit lame, but I can¡¯t think of anything better. She will be named Silma Depthborn.
Her purpose now. Well, she¡¯s to give me company before I go completely insane, protect me and give information on the world. Yep, that¡¯s sound good.
The pieces of information are already entered in the notification, it happened automatically while I was thinking about them. I only need to validate.

What? I can choose how she will look in every detail? Going from the size of her nostril the gap between her toes? Even the sexual parts are customizable¡ I can perfectly see some perverted gentlemen, or gentlewomen, use this Servant perk to amuse themselves. Am I different from them? If I was willing to lie to myself, I would say that if I''m currently making her the most beautiful dwarf there ever be, it¡¯s for her own good. I won¡¯t lie to myself on that matter, it¡¯s mostly for the pleasure of my eyes and hopefully the rest of my body.
Ok, now that she has a perfect body, I only need to validate it and see what happens. I really hope the System won¡¯t mess her.
A strong light is starting to appear in front of me, and suddenly I realize something. I have jailers. They will probably don¡¯t like the presence of Silma here with me, and they will try to take her away from me. I won¡¯t let that happened, she¡¯s the best thing that happened to me in this fucking world. They¡¯ll need to kill me to get to her.
Chapter 14 - Still in my pit.
The Hopark mountains chain, one of the biggest on Jezoi, and the biggest on the Jhagie continent is situated at the far north of it, extending to the west. Those mountains separate the continent from the sea and make it difficult to sail from this side, as the mountains are extremely hard to cross.
There is two way to pass the mountains. A courageous man can venture inside the mountain pass and try his luck against the numerous monsters and Goliath tribes. Or a rich man can pay his way under the mountain to the Dwarves.
The most secure passage goes near the dwarven capital, known as Kar¡¯Adlor. An unwarned person would usually find the city greatly organized, compared to the human cities of the rest of the continent. But those last days this spectator would see a strange agitation amongst the citizens, particularly the religious ones.
The rumor was spreading that a strange dwarf had appeared during a ceremony and started a fight against the church¡¯s warrior present at the moment. The majority of the citizens was wondering who was that strange dwarf, how he had managed to appear where and how he did and what the authorities had planned to do with him. For most of the citizens, the interest they had about the situation was nothing more than a curiosity and the newest gossip. But for some groups, this dwarf was an intruder here to bring death and misfortune to the city and some others were viewing him as an envoy from their God, Duordin. And those two factions were starting to make a lot of noise in the city.
Amongst the dwarves of authority, the topic was strongly discussed. The question was to know if the strange dwarf was an enemy or not. In all the cases, they couldn¡¯t execute him before they managed to interrogate him. And he was strongly resisting each time the soldiers tried to conduct an interrogation. The daily beating and privations didn¡¯t seem to weaken him, the soldiers had reported seeing him eating the dirt of his pit. Something else quite strange was the fact he always had his hammer. It was a small hammer, barely qualifying as a weapon, but each time it was confiscated, he found a way to get it back.
But the most strange detail about him was the markings on his arms and legs, those strange black marks that looked like flames. Nobody knew what they were, but everyone had an idea. The wildest gossips were stating they were divine marks, marking him as a divine envoy here to reform the way the Church worked, to better or worsen it.
All those things were the considerations of the majority of Kar¡¯Adlor¡¯s inhabitants. The soldiers in charge of surveilling him were usually wondering which one of them would take the brunt of the next confrontation. It was often the youngest ones that fought him first, as a way to ¡°harden themselves¡±, under the examining gaze of their seniors and the Optio carceris. They would soften the tall dwarf before their seniors would beat him half to death and send him back to his pit. But that was their usual consideration. Today they were wondering what was happening in the bottom of the hole.
Since five minutes a strong light was leaking out of the pit. It was a blinding light that only started to deem a few seconds ago. The soldiers were standing around the opening in the ground, on their guard and protecting their eyes with their hands. They were forbidden to use lethal weapons, but their metal gauntlets were shining in the light.
As the light was diminishing, they were more and more stressed, wondering what they would soon discover.
Once the light has disappeared and they had regained their eyesight, none moved for several seconds. They weren¡¯t looking at the tired and tall dwarf they were used to see. He was there but looking even angrier than usual.
Near him was standing a beautiful naked woman, she seemed lost like she had no idea of what she doing there, or how she had arrived in this situation. But there was a spark of intelligence in her eyes, and she bore the same markings as the prisoner on her arms and legs.
She looked around, like if she was assessing the situation, while the soldiers were wondering what to do. Then she opened her mouth and spoke with a soft and deep voice.
¡°Well? What are you waiting to send a ladder down there and help us climb out of this pit? We need to see the High Priest and the King. There are important matters to discuss.¡±
The soldiers were dumb looking at her, not knowing what to do. Their Optio carceris approach them and looked down the hole.
¡°As if such important people would like to see you. You¡¯re here in my prison, and you are my prisoners until further notice. If you had something to say, you¡¯ll say it to me, and you can start with how you manage to introduce yourselves here.¡±
¡°How we get inside your parody of a prison is none of your concern, you¡¯re just some grunt of no significance. We need to talk to someone important.¡±
¡°As if. Boys, do like your used too.¡±
__________
It¡¯s been a bit surprising to hear her talk to the soldiers. I don¡¯t know what she told them, but her voice was really sweet in my ears. And, as the soldier started to move the metal grid covering the pit she spoke to me, in french. She speaks french! I¡¯ll be able to have a real conversation with someone!
¡°Sorry master. They are too dumb to be reasoned with and they won''t recognize we are of higher status than them.¡±
¡°It¡¯s not your fault if they are stupid.¡± I responded to her. ¡°Be ready we¡¯ll have to fight them or they will torture and separate us. I won¡¯t let them do anything to you, but I not sure I can fight them and protect you at the same time.¡±
¡°Do not worry, I can defend myself.¡±
Seeing a small light similar as the one Mjoln produce when I summon him I throw a look at her. It seems she can also summon a weapon as she has an ax in her left hand.
__________
The little bitch! With her near him his fighting like a demon. He always fought like a madman, not thinking to protect himself, but now his even more crazy in his fighting. He always restrained himself to not cripple my men, but now he doesn¡¯t care about them. And her, she cared even less about us.
It¡¯s my prison, my men. I¡¯m supposed to be the law here. And yet, they fought so hard together that I was obliged to let them together or risk my men lives.
It¡¯s obvious they''re not used to fight together.
And here I am, writing my report of the event. I¡¯m sure I¡¯m going to be yelled at by the Beneficiarii. But there is a positive thing there, now that she is there, we can talk with them. And soon it won¡¯t be my problem. The Beneficiarii or the Centurion will take care of it, or someone else. With a bit of luck, they will soon leave my prison.
__________
I was slowly waking up, and contrary to the last days, I wasn¡¯t lying face on the dirt. I was still lying on the dirt, but at least my head was resting on something soft and comfy and comfy. Delicate fingers were caressing my face and passing through my hair.
I slowly opened my eyes and was met with a beautiful view, a pair of nicely shaped breasts over me. And over theses was an angelic face, she was looking at me like if she was looking at a small cute kitten.
¡°Shh, rest easy fierce warrior. You fought well and defend me until you couldn¡¯t even stand on your feet. You can be proud.¡±
¡°I-I¡ thank you, I suppose.¡±
¡°So, care to explain the situation here? I tried to explain to them we needed to speak with a higher authority, but the Optio carceris didn¡¯t believe you¡¯re an important person.¡±
¡°The fuckers throw me there first thing after my arrival. I can understand they''re wary of me, I arrived on an altar in the middle of some ceremony. But they didn¡¯t even try to understand my situation, they jumped at me, hammer in hands.¡±
¡°I see, I¡¯ll have to explain to them the reality of the situation. I also suppose you don¡¯t know how the System works.¡±
¡°No, I don¡¯t.¡±
She then proceeded to explain things to me. The world System, the Skills, the Skill Trees, the Skill and Stat Points. The fact that as a Champion, I probably have some special advantages, but she didn¡¯t know which ones. She also explained to me that she had the Servant Skill Tree has a race, and that would provide her with some advantages concerning our relation, she blushed and refuse to develop when I asked her too. But when she talked about the Sacred Place everyone needs to go to be able to spend their Stat and Skill Points.
We then talked about the Perk Store and the possibilities it offered me. She didn¡¯t know the meaning of all of them, but she could give me advice and some information about those.
According to her, the bonus life would be the best option, but it was too expensive for now, and my situation was dire enough to warrant the purchasing of another Perk. The Race Change was also too expensive, but it wasn¡¯t interesting, to begin with. Like me, she thought the Classement Expert would provide me with data about the other Champions. The Conceal Essence Perk was in her regard one of the best Perks, it should allow me to hide part of my Status from Skill like Appraisal or Evaluation. The Perks about The Stat and Skill Points could be interesting, but as we couldn¡¯t know how much they would give, it was a risky gamble. The New Skill Tree was, in her opinion, too expensive to be interesting. The Servant Perk was also a no go, it was still present in the list, but its price had risen to 750 Perks Points, and Silma seemed a bit jealous at my mention to create a second Servant. The next Perk was the Up Skill cap one, in Silma¡¯s opinion it was the best choice as the Skills were supposedly capped at level 10, or 15 for her, as she had the Companion Skill Tree. She explained to me that it was a Skill Tree that the companions of a Champion could get and it would probably indicate my Skills were already capped at a higher level than normal people. The last Perk was the Divine conversation, she seemed to be interested in it, but agreed with me on the fact it would probably be a waste of points.
In the end, I choose her second favorite, available with my resources. I choose the Private Sacred Place Perk and activated it. I was still resting my head on her lap.

Wow. That¡¯s a lot of information about me, the Body characteristics is a bit frightening as it described my body in all the private details I don¡¯t want to talk about, I just share my high and my weight. I¡¯m shorter than in my previous life and heavier. It can be expected, I¡¯m a dwarf now, and Dwarves are short and bulky. But I think I¡¯m rather tall for a Dwarf.
The Points section is a nice addition, as I can see how much Points I have. The one about the available Skill Trees is a bit disappointing, I can only choose the Student Skill Tree, I¡¯ll look into it another time.
As I ask Silma the signification of the red asterisk and plus signs, she explained to me they are for obtaining information on the subject by the System and developing the Skill Store for each Skill Tree for the first and to allocate Points for the Second. The fact some Skills have the red plus and not other means I can level those Skill using part of my Skill Points, but she advised me against that.
All that is very interesting, but I don¡¯t have the time to really look into it as I can hear footstep near the pit.
Chapter 15 - The one of feather and ice.
Raimond Charles Andrew Sigmund, that was his full name. The one who was chosen for him by his parents. Or to be precise by his father. His mother had died in childbirth and, to honor her, Raimond¡¯s father had given him the name of the men of the family. Raimond was the name of her father, and Charles and Andrew were the ones of her grandfathers. But he had given his son his own family name, Sigmund.
Yes, to honor his deceased wife, Raimond¡¯s father had given him a name with a heavy meaning. A name Raimond had had difficulty to bear during his childhood but had grown to like as a great name.
Over the years he had taken part of his father¡¯s weirdness. His father was passionate by medieval Europe, particularly by the knights. Even if during his studies he had learned that his father was mostly wrong about his view on the matter. Raymond''s father viewed them as heroes in shining armor, fighting for honor, justice and the like. But, even if they were fighting for those things, a lot of them were partly corrupted by the gold they could gather, were rapists or violent thieves. In short, they were men like others in a cruel part of history.
But this not the part that interested us here. The important fact is that Raimond grew alone, with his father hammering in his head a strong sense of justice. And as someone with such a strong moral code, he naturally threw himself in front of a truck to save the life of the young boy. Dying in this act of bravery.
Like others before him, he had met Arnold and learned he had been chosen to become a Champion and participate in the fifth God¡¯s Game, representing Modgor.
Modgor, a strange God. The Penguin Knight. It was a knight, that was good in Raymond''s book, but it was also a penguin. A PENGUIN! How could a penguin, a fucking bird unable to fly could be a knight? It was a mystery for Raimond. But the worst part of it was the fact he had been forced to become a penguin himself. He was a penguin, and as such he had appeared on ice.
To be precise Raimond appeared on the more north continent of Jezoi, Morniz. A rather small continent composed of a lonely country, the Morniz Kingdom, named after the continent. It is a cold place, covered by ice almost all year long.
Since his arrival, the Penguin Champion had learned that, on Jezoi, Penguins are part of the sentient races.
An old Penguin with almost all white feathers and used beak talks to a younger one. The old one is a retired court high wizard and the young one appeared in his experimental room three days ago. After three days panicking and blabbering about the fact he was human the young penguin had calmed down and the old one is now explaining to him how the country works.
¡°We may not be the most acknowledged species amongst the Sentient Ones, but when it comes to the international relationships, but our fleet and the knights'' orders are a force to consider when you plan to sail the northern seas. If you think about the harsh cold of this place, it is an act of madness to even consider invade them, nobody had tried that since fifteen centuries.
Contrary to what a lot of people think of it in warmer places, Morniz is not a place entirely covered in ice, just mostly. We are used to make most of our buildings in ice, but you can cross some stone or even wooden structure in some regions.
On one hand, the kingdom is ruled by Alexis Jonas Kropol, one of the two known Penguins that had managed to get three Third Tier Skill Trees. He is considered a wise ruler and had led the Ice Knights for years before ascending to the throne. He¡¯s assisted in his task by his wife, Aldeberg, a strong and beautiful witch, she¡¯s supposed to be a descendant of the Great Penguin.
On the other hand, there is a second leading figure in the country. The Pope, the other Penguins that managed to obtain three Third Tier Skill Trees. The penguin is a charismatic and influential old man that lead the Cold Church. Fortunately for the nation, he has good relationships with the royal family if not friendly. Him, the Queen and the King had managed to put the kingdom closer to exterminating the Red Ice.
Do you follow me?¡±
¡°I have a few questions already.¡± Answers Raimond, already bored with the feeling of being back to school. ¡±What are those knights orders, the Cold Church and the Red Ice.¡±
¡°We have five knight orders in Morniz, the two principals are the Sea and the Ice ones, each is actually led by a royal prince. The Cold Church is a gathering of people worshipping the different Gods affiliated with the cold, mostly the Six Penguins Gods, Modgor is the most important, he''s the father of the five others. And the Red Ice his the name of the worst calamity Morniz had to face this last fifty years, they are a band of pirates that sailed the sea on ice boats stained red by the blood of their victims, hence their name, Red Ice.¡±
¡°Okay, thanks for the information. Now I¡¯m feeling tired, I think I should go back to bed¡±. The young Penguin¡¯s body was fine, but his mind was still exhausted by the recent events.
¡°Right, go and rest, next time we¡¯ll talk about your status. I¡¯ve looked at them and I could give you some advice.¡±
¡°You¡¯ve seen them? How?¡±
¡°I have a Skill for that.¡± Answers the old Penguin, leaving the room and letting the Champion rest a bit.

¡°Now that we have covered the explanation about the Status, comes the pieces of advice. First, considering you already have the Squire Skill Tree and the Small body enhancement Skill, you should probably go for a fighter''s build and, of course, take the Ice Tool Skill in the Penguin Skill Tree. It will allow you to always have a crude tool made of ice with you when you have a better level in the Skill, you¡¯ll be able to maintain a poor sword, and it will allow you to buy some Skills more suited to a fighter, like the Ice Sword Skill.
My second advice is to save your Skill and Stat Points, don¡¯t visit too often the Sacred Places. You¡¯ll probably have the impression that your growth is slowed, but it¡¯s a false impression. It will allow you to better understand the effect of the Characteristics and to buy more Skill to work on.¡±
¡°Do you think I should specialize in something or tried to be good at everything?¡±
¡°It¡¯s up to you, but don¡¯t disperse yourself in too many directions. Keep in mind that some Skills are in multiple Skill Trees, lowering a bit their price and that possessing some Skill Trees can unlock or change Skill in other Skill Trees. Especially you Champion Skill Tree, I¡¯ve never heard of it, but it seems to be a really powerful one, concentrate on it can¡¯t be a bad idea.¡±
¡°It¡¯s a lot of stuff to think about, and it seems I¡¯ll have to really think it through before making my choice. Without forgetting that my ¡°starting period¡± has ended.¡±
¡°Indeed, so eat and rest. We will soon have guests.¡±
¡°Really? Who?¡±
¡°That¡¯s a surprise.¡± And with a cunning look in his eyes, the old wizard turns around and leaves the room.
Some hours later the old Penguin talk with a young female Penguin. They are seated in a room made of ice. There is a small hole in the floor, allowing for a fishing line to hang from the roof directly in the water. On a side of the room is another room, but with wooden walls, it¡¯s there that Raimond is resting. Outside the house are six warriors waiting and standing guard. They are wary and on edge, the area is known to house some dangerous creatures, and they are to escort the princess.
Back in the seating room, the young Penguin princess is questioning the old Penguin.
¡°Come again Great Wizard? I don¡¯t follow you.¡±
¡°You were faster than that before, Mia. But fine, I¡¯ll tell you again. I felt a strange magic in the air four days ago, I was conducting an experiment with transportation magic, and this young Penguin appeared in a flashy way right in the middle of the room, perturbing my experiment and sending us both below the ice. The time to go back in my home, he was unconscious, I put him to rest in my guest room and care for him. He only awoke two days ago.¡±
¡°But why did it take so long? With your power, you should have been able to heal him immediately.¡±
¡°His body I did, but the mind is a more delicate case. My experiment completely emptied his mana pool. And for what I gather, he had lived a rather exhausting experiment.¡±
¡°He died on another world and been sent here by Modgor himself? You think I will believe such a kid story?¡±
¡°It is your right to not believe me, but the current court high wizard, your grandmother, will confirm my sayings.¡±
¡°And why would she examine him?¡±
¡°Because, once he is strong enough to travel, I plan to bring him to the Ice Palace. He will certainly bring glory to Morniz and Modgor.¡±
¡°What? Why?¡±
The Penguin Princess was completely lost by what the old Penguin was saying. It was the stuff of kids tales, the ones she had stopped to believe in since she was eleven. Moreover, the old teacher of her grandmother, the Queen, was looking at her with his mysterious glance. The exact one he always had when he was explaining something he considered of the utmost simplicity but most people had a hard time to follow, and that he was enjoying their frustration.
¡°I can¡¯t tell you that yet.¡±
¡°But-¡±
¡°He¡¯s awake and coming this way. I think you¡¯ll find him pleasant to watch after he¡¯ll have a good bath and a good combing of his feathers.¡±
¡°Wha-¡±
While Mia was starting to blush under her feathers she heard the creaking sound of the only wooden door in the mention. Turning to look at the origin of the sound she saw a strange Penguin in the door frame. He was quite tall and his beak looked in such a good state he could pass for nobility, but his feathers were all messy. It was to be expected from someone confined to bed for four days. The deep black feathers of his shoulders, his back, and his arms were strongly contrasting with the pure white of his belly¡¯s feathers, the line separating them could be more defined be a good combing session, after which it would probably look beautiful.
¡°Raimond Charles Andrew Sigmund, Champion of Modgor, Otherworlder I hereby present to you Ellemia Astrinni Talula Kropol, Sixth Princess of Morniz, Second daughter of the Crown Prince. Isn¡¯t she the cutest Penguin you ever saw? Mia, this is Raimond, he¡¯s a nice man, I¡¯m sure the both of you would make a nice couple, and your grandmother would probably agree to that.¡±
¡°What?!¡± Exclaimed in unison the two young Penguins under the amused eyes of a very old, wise, powerful and bored Penguin.
Chapter 16 - Bad Report
Date: 54/89/6164
From: Administrator Arnold Aron Ahft
To: Chief Administrator Jone Fis Jedge Gyai
Subject: Status of the fifth Jezoi¡¯s Gods¡¯ Game Report
The purpose of this report is to take to your acknowledgment the current situation on the fifth Jezoi¡¯s Gods¡¯ Game Report and why its final release will be slightly delayed.
As you are aware thanks to my last report, the Administrator trainee Mickael Hopa was appointed to write the above-mentioned Report. Writing this Report was supposed to be his final test before being granted the position of full Administrator and his first middle name. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
As his Report was nearing the 200th page I decided to look at it and evaluated it. Unfortunately, what I found didn¡¯t please me.
I request he be sent back to class and work on his writing skill before attempting anew to write this Report. I think this young man has the potential to be a great Administrator one day, but like a rough diamond, he needs to be processed before being able to shine.
I hope that after a year or two he may be able to make a great work on his Report of the fifth Jezoi¡¯s Gods¡¯ Game and maybe on other reports.
I hope this report will find you in good health.
Respectfully yours,
Arnold Aron Ahft
Leading Administrator of the fifth Jezoi¡¯s Gods¡¯ Game Report
