We moved toward what seemed to be the reception desk. "I''d like to collect my rewards for finishing this quest." Said, Mead. He then took out what seemed to be the quest paper and a couple of horns. The receptionist checked the contents of the paper and said, "Everything seems to be accounted for." She said while smiling. The receptionist was a woman in her 20''s who was wearing a red guild staff uniform, had black hair, and was wearing glasses that fit her. She rolls the paper and puts it in a drawer and then proceeds to take the horns. "I will be right back. Let me just put these in storage and get your reward." She then heads for the room right behind her. "So, how long have you been an adventurer?" I asked Mead. "It''s been about 5 years maybe, 6? I don''t really keep count." He answered. And so I did, I injected it with some of my mana and there it showed my name, my age, my rank, and my stats. "Thank you." I said to her. "Congrats bud" Cheered, Mead. "Ok. So let me explain how the guild works." Said the receptionist. I looked at her, ready to listen. "There are 10 ranks. From Rank F being the lowest to the Rank SSS being the highest. The notice board is over there. You can only take quests appropriate to your rank. But if you do manage to complete a higher level quest even when you didn''t register the quest to the guild, you will receive the rewards. Of course we will demand some evidence such as a body part of the monster slain or the monster entirely. This might cause some agitation from the other adventurers who took on the quest you completed so I recommend you not to do it. If you want to team up with other adventurers, you can register your party to the guild and will therefore split the rewards between you and your members. There can be a maximum of 5 people in your party. If atleast 3 of them are of a higher rank, your party''s rank will be able to take on quests relative to their ranks. That is all. After you leave the door, just keep walking right until you see a banner with a tiger on it." "Alright, thank you." I walked out the door and started heading to the direction she told me. I found the inn and walked inside. It was as extravagant as the Adventurer''s Guild. "Good evening, sir. What can I do for you today?" "How much for a night?" I asked. "1 Silver." (I don''t want to do any quests at the moment so I guess I''ll head there once I get a room at the inn.) The sales clerk returns with a greatsword that is imbued with fire magic. "Oohh looks nice. She took the coin and put it in some kind of safe and proceeded to give me the greatsword and 90 gold. "Thank you so much for your purchase." She said. I headed for the inn and rented a room for a week. I went up and checked the room I was in. It was a fancy room, the bed was cozy and the bathroom was clean. I decided to give my new weapon a name. "Hmm, since you''re a beauty, I''ll call you Elizabeth." After I embarassingly gave my weapon a name, I left the inn. I head for the north gates. I happened upon a clothing shop on my way to the gates and thought of buying some new clothes after defeating the dungeon. I am in awe at the size of the gate. After a few minutes of being in awe, I cast physical enhancement magic on myself and then left the town. I ran as fast as I could toward the dungeon that I saw on my map. "I''m getting close." Suddenly, a Giant Bear walks in front of my path. Because I was running at such a high speed, the bear literally got torn into pieces. He threw one at me but I evaded it with ease. The Minotaur then charged at me with great speed but I evaded again and jumped up on his back. "Sorry for this, nothing personal." I said as I stabbed him in the back with Elizabeth. The Minotaur then starts shouting and seems to be enraged. He takes his axe which was stuck to the wall and charges at me again. This time I took him head on. I ran towards him and readied my sword. I cut his head in a flash but broke my lovely sword in doing so. "Elizabeth, my love, how could this happen!? Nooooooooooo!!!" I then proceed to take the quest paper from his now lifeless body. "The battle is over!" Alex announces. "The winner is Rank F Shi Matsuri!" The adventurer''s start whispering to each other. A loud roar and a voice that came after could be heard from deeper down the cave, it said, "WHAT THE FUCK YOU SAY BOI? IM COMING TO FUCK YOU UP!" Followed by heavy and swift stomps towards our general direction. "Who dares mock the heir to the dragon king''s throne. Was it you, mortal?" The dragon asked, in a mighty tone. I had a friend, his name was Domaka. He was sealed by this woman who''s gaze still terrifies me to this day. That woman was crazy strong. "You stole this cave from the maidens in the village just outside didn''t you?" I asked, just as confused as the dragon was. "Wait, there''s a village just outside the cave? I didn''t know. As I said, I''ve been here ever since Domaka got sealed." He answered. (I looked into the dragon''s eyes and saw that he was indeed not lying. Weird.) I thought to myself. "So that''s why I saw some human women performing some sort of ritual in my cave. I scared them off though, We dragons are very territorial after all." He said. "This is very interesting. Very interesting indeed." I said with a grin on my face. "Oh right, I didn''t get your name, dragon." I said, casually. "My name is V- Velix. By the way, W- What are you going to d- do?" Velix asked. "Something fun. Hehe." * I observed the man who was the son of that woman. He looked weak but Domaka assured me that he wasn''t."Well anyways, sorry to interrupt your reunion but unfortunately I''ve come here with a quest to slay you." The boy interrupted and spoke in a serious manner. I was perplexed, why would anyone want to slay me? Despite being a dragon I had done nothing wrong in the past 1000 or so years. He asked another question and I answered truthfully, what came next shook me to my core. The pressure I felt was so overwhelming I could barely speak when he asked for my name. And when I asked "What are you going to do?" He had the most terrifying grin that made every fiber of my being tell me to run. He''s just like her! Scaryy. The Slaughterer Spoiler: Please read. So the mc does this fucking long monologue about how he hates liars and shit because when he was little his best friend accused him of something the bestfriend did. The bitch was a liar. But the funny thing is, now I have power." (That was the last line from his monologue. I managed to remember it as it gave me goosebumps when I read it.) So after that monologue he goes out of the cave and heads straight for the village chief''s house, enters, talks a bit and kill her. All her organs turn into mush. Our MC compliments the skill and how well it can kill, Immediately, and without blood going everywhere. He then casts an AoE version of the spell and kills everyone in the village. "Well that was fun. Next time I should tear them all apart piece by piece instead." (That''s another line but it isn''t the line exactly. I forgot how I phrased it before.) I go back to the cave, Velix cowers in fear but I reassure him that I won''t hurt him and he believes me the second time I tell him. He gets even more scared the first time I say it. Then Domaka and Velix say their farewells and we go. But before leaving I burn the village to cinders. I head back and pick up Bob along the way, he was not amused. Shi heads inside the adventurer''s guild and reported that the village had already been burnt to ashes when he got there. The receptionist thanked him for the report. Then he returned to his inn room, removed his gear ans took a well deserved bath with Bob.
