《Warlords Era》 Prologue: Twin Moon The whole world changed during this week. First the apparition of the Ability System. It came under the form of a voice in our head who can make me us see our "Stats" and "Aptitude/Skills". Then came the madness when the Ability System(AS) told humanity a simple explanation of what the where the possibility and the objective this System offered us. On the 7 days after the apparition of the Blood Moon, everybody had the AS in them, and she said that: "The Ability System is a gift of the Gods for the survival and evolutions of the species that strayed from the right evolution way before the Cataclysm. You can all became more powerful by taking in the Life Power of other Life Form. Naturally that come by killing this Life Form with the AS weapon or power."Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Hearing that naturally we, Humans, couldn''t understand after all, we were the dominant species of Earth. But then the AS continued: "Explaining this simply for you, I am the gift of the Blood Moon for you. But knowing that I was gifted to you, what do you think will happen if another thing, gifted the same thing to other Life Form?" After saying that, the Blood Moon in the sky became ice blue, she was later known as the Ice Moon. And with that, what would be later know as the Warlords Era started. Also from this day on, nobody ever viewed a cat as a simple pet. Chapter 1: AS stage 2 "Stage 2 of AS activated." So basically within 2 month 20% of the Beast population will be immune to technological weapon created by the the civilisation of Earth entraining doom upon humanity." That''s rather hard for the human society but so what, it is just curiosity for me to ask. My current situation doesn''t change because of this. Now you are surely asking yourself why I keep talking talking about my situation. Then I will tell you, it''s rather simple, Currently my location is rather problematic with this announce because, for my 18 anniversaries my friends offered me a trip in the Amazon Rainforest. But fuck, now I am currently in the biggest forest in the world and all the animals within are mutating to be some Beast! I am basically in the best location on earth to die! Oh, no I forgot Australia! But still, I need a solution for surviving, and I need it urgently. "What is the ability of Beast after there first mutation?" A principal part in black, a second one in white, a less important blue one, a little multi-colored one and finally a ray of a golden one. "Yes and Host for your information the AS contain a system of detection of Beast in a 50m radius in case you were unaware there is one at 35m in front of you" ''She can''t have said that earlier'' So I directly stood up and took the sword in my hand, waiting for the Best to get out of the forest in the campsite. But when the Beast got out I was shocked: "Is that?" And he had everything of the job, numerous wound that I don''t know from where they came from, the slow speed of walking and he even had bone protruding out of his body. If all that was part of the changement due to the transformation in Beast, I think I could understand the previous cry. Chapter 3: First fight I ran toward it and tried attacking him with my sword. The thing is, I don''t know one thing about how to use a sword. I mean today apart from mob and some military and sports club, nobody know to fight with a sword. So I used it like I had seen it in movie, I agitated it with the blade pointed toward the zombie. The results? It obviously wouldn''t be useful. And naturally the zombie wouldn''t stay like that, it start waving is fists and I had to admit that he was obviously more threatening than me and my sword. ''F**k I can''t just let him have is way'' At least I was safe, and though it was ironic, that was because when I was younger I loved novel and because Chinese always talked about Taichi, I practiced it for 3 years. But when I was thinking I imaginated a mutated Elephant and decided that a Tapir was good. And so I started fighting it, also it was not weak and so should have a Strenght superior to 10 but because I had a higher Agility than it, I could somehow manage it. At first it was a bit of a hassle but finally I managed to kill it by making a clear cut at the level of the neck. In the middle of this I had experienced a period of rodeo but so what, I hadn''t died so it was fine. "Why are you making all the thing you say shorter? Are you vexed of my skill?" "No, although you are decently talented with a sword... ''It is the gentlest thing AS ever said'' ...your still a trash, so I don''t want explain more than necessary" ''No that is normal she as always been a b**ch'' And so I continued my research and I had luck, I should be in the middle of a group of Tapir because I easily found 5 other Tapir and managed to kill them with effort. Naturally I had taken them out on one vs one. Are you crazy, I have a hard time with one and you want me to fight 5. No thanks I think I will go suicide that''s faster. With these five I managed to Level up to the Lvl 2. I added one point in Agility, one in Strenght and one in Spirit because I wanted to tame something one of these day. But somehow a problem appeared. The night was coming, and the problem wasn''t I had nowhere to go, no no I found a cave. The problem was the content of the cave. ''Observe'' Description: A Beasts that confronted against his congener and has survived and absorbed their Life Power. Chief of a group of his own Race. Note of AS: King of trash, still trash. Brief, I made the spike with the bone from the 6 Tapir I killed before. Although not the best thing of the world it was effective so. And one would say that it woud be waste because I didn''t kill it with appropriate weapon I can''t get the reward. It''s part true, but first I would need my life to use the Life Power of this Beast. Secondly the Beast is currently losing all of his blood in the cavity, and at the bottom of the cavity there is the . So although I didn''t get the Life Power, with my weapon being enhanced I still gained in power. So my plan was pratically perfect, the only default being the smell of blood but that will be taken care by my sword in a short time. And so after waiting for 5min (Yes, I made a lot of hole in this Beast) the Beast was void of any blood and my sword was glowing bright red. I quietly approched myself from the entrance of the cave. But when I arrived, what I saw scared the sh*t out of me. It was a gigantic mountain tiger, at least 4m long and taller than me and I was already 1m87. I was scared to a point that I will have an heart attack to the slightest sound. Finally I used my skill to observe it and that was what came out: Description: Representent of a whole rest in this region. A local Hegemon. But she is currently injured and her actual fighting force should be around Lvl 11. Note of AS: That''s good trash! Pratically not a trash anymore. So I tried to sneakily get out. Unfortunately even injured and pregnant this thing was still a monster within the Beast. So naturally she saw me. So I started to run in a completely panicked state. She has at least 20 in Agility even in this injured state. She just doesn''t have any greed for the Life Power of a weak ant like you. She is proud and disdain you." And so I started going around this gigantic forest and searched for Beast in the desesperate hope of becoming a powerful existence that would be able to take the young cub of the Queen. And after 15min of search I do found a Beast. Description: With the mutation the sloth became a territorial Beast. But it still is lazy thought. Note of AS: It is an interesting Beast, at least it as a talent for something. Ignoring the voice of AS, I considered another point. ''So that is what became the cute sloth from before Cataclysm.'' It was a strange monster long of 2m and with a rough skin and extremly long claw. Where was the fur and the dumb look? F**k this Cataclysm is really destroying the world. Are the cat affected as much as that too, after all I am a cat lover. Spoiler: Spoiler Does anyone know that the cat want to dominate the world? And so I started fighting it, the thing is for a lazy Beast he was rather fast. I started by trying to cut at the jointure of his member but he was too fast and I evaded his claw by side-stepping. But after that I continuously evaded his attack for at least 1min because he was too fast for me too counter-attack. But finally after a certain time he slowed down and I succesfully to connect multiple blow to his body. But because he was cautious I couldn''t inflict him anything apart from superficial wound like light cuts to his forearms. After approximatively 3min, I was in a dangerous position because I couldn''t keep up with the rythm anymore, so I started to slow down. Bad idea should I say. His claw inflicted me a deep gash to my thight. ''Fuck I can''t keep that up, I don''t have anymore stamina and know I am injured.'' And so in a situation were I was completely at a loss I tried something that was extremly strange. I got some distance from the sloth and... I threw it the sword. And what suprised me is that is actually fonctionned! Also I didn''t touch his head or heart as I wanted but he took the sword in the stomach after deviating it from the top half of his corpse with his claw. And what happened after that is what I was prying for. The evolving effect of my sword activated and voided the sloth of all his blood. With that the sloth died and my sword damage advanced by 1. After killing it I got on the tree where he was originaly, utilising it as a relatively safe place to try healing my leg a bit, because it started aching a lot after the adrenalin was gone. So in the forest everything go too fast. But the good point of that?
