《Magus Sunt Inferus》 prologue 1 ¡°This is starbase Genesis you are clear for take off captain¡± :traffic control ¡°Roger that fleet this is your commander speaking rendezvous outside of the starbase perimeter and prepare to warp¡± : Real As 4 ships leave the port, people stare in awe as they see the new guardian class warship making its way to the rendezvous point, It was a magnificent sight to behold. A 10 mile long ship with two huge detachable oval like plates on its sides with a different color giving it a striking image of an attached ship. You could also see the three huge main guns on the front topside and two on the bottom. At the back there is 2 smaller main guns topside and a similar one on the bottom. The three other ships gave the onlookers the same bewilderment as they had never seen them before. First the ship With Hoplite painted on its side depicting its name was no less bigger than the new class of warships. It was like an arrowhead pointy in the front but enlarges as you see its hull though its edges are all rounded it still gave a similar look when seen from the front. It seems to carry a uniform assortment of 4 main guns topside 2 in the front 2 in the rear and 2 at the bottom front and one on the bottom back, these guns also seem larger and more distinct than what the Guardian class warship has to offer. After the battleship passed by you could see a really large superstructure moving behind it, it has no main guns like the first two but instead it was twice as big as both combined. You may wonder why does a ship not have main guns? well it''s not meant to fight the same way as a battleship, cruiser, destroyer, or any other ship, What we are seeing is the new SuperCarrier it not only houses fighter wings but also tanks and other land vehicles as well as many soldiers. It plays a support role and usually sits in the rear of a fleet, Looking closely you can see many door like indents on the ship 3 in the front 4 on top 3 on the bottom and 4 on the back. While the it is a long ship it is also quite tall, taller than the first two ships that were seen. The next and final ship of this small fleet was even more bizarre it was even bigger than the supercarrier but similar to it had no weapons. It was 30 miles long and from a distance it looked like a pancake, there seemed to be arms on 4 sides top,bottom, left and right sides. These arms seem to be moving and after sometime they became tucked into the hull and disappeared from sight. What people were seeing is a fortress class constructor it is capable of both repairing ships, building them, constructing large starbases, and manufacturing weapons and ammo. You could also say they are moving foundries as their main purpose is production, they usually never go by himself and will always have escorts like we see now. This ship is also new as the fortress class was only commissioned a few years ago. She is the third ship out of the 3 built giving many human viewers a great sense of pride when they see its enormous size. As the ships embark you could feel the rattling handrails near the port of the 200 mile starbase, just by looking at the engines that each behemoth carries you could feel its sheer power. While the last three ships were slow proportionate to their size, the guardian class vessel was astounding in both maneuverability and speed. Seeing the ship move It looked like a destroyer class ship which made even the spectators baffled. The last two goblins were angered they readied their rusty sword and started to run at me. The one that had cleaned his mouth and spotted me was the first to arrive and swing his sword downwards. I knew that their weapons would not even scratch my composite armor. But my training of 100 years kicked in, and with my knowledge of many different sciences I knew that that my plasma blade will easy cut through his flimsy steel sword and through his flesh. So I met the attack head on melting the sword and decapitating his head. You could even hear the sizzle as the blood evaporated and the wound closed. I am quite pleased that blood didn''t spill of my suit it would be a bitch to clean. With the force of both the exoskeleton and my own muscles I closed the distance rapidly like a car chasing a man. I readied my sword once more and swung downwards. This requires a lot of computation power because we have to be able to control time it self in order to make efficient and safe universal transfers. Not only that we have to make sure it is the right universe in the first place. In our current age we are only able to control time dilation in small places for long periods of time and that is all, it will still take hundreds of years or even thousands before we become a type 3 civilization and have such a capability.¡± :Al With a gloomy face Real replies ¡°So in short were stuck in this universe. I did not know what to expect, if I believe what Al has told me then the possibility of large beast is a most likely scenario. "Could it be a large bird?" A griffin maybe that would be nice to have as a companion wouldn''t it. No maybe a dragon if this really is a fantasy like universe then what Al saw when I was asleep was most likely a dragon. ¡°I wonder how strong dragons are¡± I blurted out loud :Real ¡°I do not know the thickness of their scales. Based on the novels where modern japanese soldiers go to another world, it seems that the weakest of the dragons can be easily killed by small arms fire so your rail pistol will likely be very effective. But they are just the weakest and most numerous of the dragon kin, the rarer more powerful dragons on the other hand seem to have scales as strong as tungsten making them flying tanks.
