Some believe that having a successful life will lead to happiness so many of them try to gain a higher position in society. However, a simple life is also part of happiness. An adventurous life is also counted as well. All you need to know is that live your life to the fullest! That¡¯s what my adventurous uncle always said before he¡¯d passed away. I, Shinji Fujiki, remembered his words deep in my heart as I spent my days simply until to this strange moment during school. Today, at Class 2A during lunch, I¡¯m currently playing poker with my friend, Hibiki Chojiro. I then beat him and won as usual as he put down the cards in defeat. (Hibiki) ¡°Man, you won again, Shinji. You are really good at this one too.¡± (Shinji) ¡°All it takes is to understand the rules and make strategies, that¡¯s all.¡± (Hibiki) ¡°Yeah right. Not with that cunning mind and experiences you have. Soon, there will be a time when I finally beat you at something.¡± (Shinji) ¡°I¡¯m looking forward to it if that comes.¡± I nonchalantly replied back to him as this was the usual exchange between us. We¡¯re both members of the Game Club where they research not only limited to video games but also things like cards or board games. There are other three members of our club, but the only relationship that I¡¯ve have is this guy as Hibiki changes the subject. (Hibiki) ¡°So, how¡¯s it going with your ¡®steady relationship¡¯ with the school beauty?¡± (Shinji) ¡°What steady relationship? She and I are just classmates, that¡¯s all.¡± (Hibiki) ¡°What, I don¡¯t believe it. She¡¯s totally interested in you, otherwise why else she wants to hang out with you every time?¡± (Shinji) ¡°That¡¯s properly just her kind nature of wanting to help others. Hibiki Chojiro is my only friend I made since I went to this high school and our relationship has been the same in our second year as well. His appearance is a bit more normal than mine. He has short blonde hair and has acted mysterious sometimes whenever I''m around him. He tends to tease me about my problems which annoy me most of the time, but other than that, we get along nicely due to our interests in games. Sensing that lunch is coming to an end, Hibiki gets up and heads to the door as he is from a different classroom than mine. Just as he¡¯s near the door, it suddenly opened and reveal the person who was the root of my current situation since the beginning of my high school years as she talked to Hibiki. (???) ¡°Hi there, Chojiro-kun. Finished playing games with Fujiki-kun?¡± (Hibiki) ¡°Hey, Miyamoto-san. I already finished and was just heading back to my classroom. See ya!¡± (Kiyoko) ¡°Bye~!¡± Kiyoko Miyamoto replies back to him before walking to my side, causing the remaining and returning students to gaze towards our direction as usually whenever she does this. Ugh, this makes me uncomfortable every time they did that, and the person in question doesn¡¯t realize their harsh stares again. This girl is Kiyoko Miyamoto, one of the school¡¯s beauties. She was extremely beautiful and kind towards everyone, which earns admirations from the students regardless of gender. She has long gorgeous black hair that extended to her waist with a white headband, her big droopy brown eyes revealed a hint of gentleness and her cute childish face with her pink-colored lips. She¡¯s sometimes called ¡°Yamato Nadeshiko¡± due to her appearance. Her known feature is her voluptuous figure which has a curvy look and big breasts on her chest that shamed most of the female population in this school. Her appearance attached many boys as they ogled her looks which earned cold stares from the girls. Well, I¡¯m no exception either, but I only take a quick peek sometimes before she noticed! Not only that, she always wears a big smile and treated everyone with equal sincerity as she shares a strong sense of responsibility. This factor might be the part why she keeps bothering me without any harm. My looks are paled against her as I have a slightly normal appearance like most students here. My hair is black which only extended to my shoulders and my eyes look uninterested which cause everyone to think that I¡¯m a lazy person. My face is not handsome, but also not ugly and my stature is nearly the same height as her. Also, besides World History and English, my grades are mostly average. The definition of normal. I don¡¯t understand why she keeps doing this. Although I think she doesn¡¯t have any ill intentions, I also don¡¯t believe it was love at first sight. I don¡¯t remember anything that causes her to grow interested in someone like me, so I decided not to pry into her reason since it was too troublesome. Also, every time that I look at her attractive appearance, my lower half starts to act up sometimes so I try to act naturally as possible. The class doesn¡¯t like me having a special relationship with their idol. The boys threw contempts and envy towards me while the girls think that I¡¯m wasting Kiyoko¡¯s time. Come on, if you don¡¯t like it that much, just say it out! I have a few cases where someone tries to bully me after school someones when they couldn¡¯t take it seeing me getting comfortable with her. However, thanks to my ¡°experiences¡± with my uncle, I put the fear of me in them so they cause any more trouble. Just a little. Despite all that, I don¡¯t dislike her much as she leaves a good impression on me. In truth, I have some sort of interests in her so I didn¡¯t mind her company sometimes. Although most students want to seek their spring of youth, my interests in love are complicated so I¡¯m not intended to look for a girlfriend yet. The guy who called out is Yaiba Onizuka. He is one of the few that continues to harass me at the moment. His appearance is also mediocre but has spiky blonde hair and slanted eyes that makes him look like a thug. I know that he has a crush on Miyamoto which is why he continues to bother me. (Kiyoko) ¡°I¡¯m not bothered by it so no need to shout out, Onizuka-kun.¡± (Yaiba) ¡°B-But Miyamoto-san¡­ Well, if that¡¯s what you want, then I won¡¯t say anything. I-If you still want to share your f-food, then I can-¡± (Boy?) ¡°Kiyoko! Are you talking to Fujiki again?¡± (Girl?) ¡°Hi, Fujiki-kun. It seems that you¡¯ve already finished your lunch.¡± Yaiba tries to talk smoothly to Kiyoko when two people came in and interrupted their conversation. Yaiba¡¯s face turn sour as I look at the people who are childhood friends with Kiyoko. The other girl who greeted me kindly is Mariko Tamashiro, Kiyoko¡¯s best friend. She is also one of the school¡¯s beauties and the captain of her Kendo Club. She has long black hair tied in a ponytail with a red ribbon as her trademark and her figure is attractive as her friend. Unlike Kiyoko¡¯s gentle figure, her appearance makes her look elegant and serious. Her slit and delicate eyes were sharp, but there¡¯s also gentleness within them. Her family owns a fencing dojo which she¡¯s known for her kendo skills and was a national level athlete. Her fame around the school is not less as Kiyoko¡¯s as she¡¯s described as a strong and serious girl but kind and caring to those around her. Many underclassmen look up to her regardless of gender and the girls sometimes call her ¡°Onee-sama~!¡± which she doesn¡¯t appreciate it as much. The handsome boy who¡¯s talking to Kiyoko is Hikaru Itsuki. Like his name, he¡¯s an ikemen, a tall figure with clear eyes and a brown hair that overflows with the sense of justice. He also had outstanding grades and a superhuman who was good in all kind of sports. He is kind to everyone and will lend out a helping hand to them. The differences between him and me are huge. Many girls fancy him, but most of them didn¡¯t dare to confess him due to his two beautiful childhood friends. There¡¯s already some that confessed to him over the years. However, thanks to his dense personality and lack of love experiences, he gently (merciless) turned them down. The number of confessions and rejections has nearly reached over 50. (Kiyoko) ¡°Hey, guys. I was just about to share my food with Fujiki-kun, but he¡¯s already eaten his lunch.¡± (Hikaru) ¡°Fujiki, it is rude for you to reject Kiyoko¡¯s sincerity like that. When are you going to change your attitude so Kiyoko doesn¡¯t have to take care of you?¡± (Shinji) ¡°I¡¯m already full during lunch so I politely reject her offer. The students went back to their respective desks as the teacher begins the lesson. While she¡¯s at it, I kept looking out from the window as I think about my future plans. I was an orphan as long as I remembered. I was told that my parents have died in an accident when I was a baby and they don¡¯t have any relatives to take care of me so I was sent to an orphanage that time. Life over there is a bit hard, but I¡¯ve gotten used to it over seven years until I was adopted by my adventurous uncle, Nemo. He is a strange and eccentric man. He wears clothing that looks similar to the main character in Indiana Jones movies with white hair and beard. I ask him before why does he dress like that and all he said that it makes him look cool. I don¡¯t know how to describe his tastes and interests. He also decided to leave my birth name as it is because it is easier to remember which I didn¡¯t mind. After adopting me, he took (dragged) me along to his adventurous lifestyle and I have learned many things more than that any average kid can take as I went around the world. Although there some events that led to misfortune, some strange and usual even brings me hard times and grief. But it was still fun nevertheless as I journeyed with along with my uncle while staying strong. One day when I was 12 years-old, Uncle Nemo has passed away all of the sudden due to the disease during our final journey in Japan. Nobody knows how he got the disease or why he didn¡¯t explain this to me, all that I can remember is that tears came running down from my eyes when I saw his funeral. After three days of grief, a person that knows my uncle give me his will and fortune that help to pay the living expenses and school payment. That time, I made my resolve to live my life to the fullest like he does. I rented a small apartment and transferred to a junior high school to begin my school life. However, it is much harder than I realized as I have little experiences of interacting my classmates due to my experiences. Also, I¡¯m having the trouble of keeping up with the lessons due to lack of learning the basics, but I managed to get through to high school. During half of the semester of my second year in junior high, I realized that I inherited my uncle¡¯s adventurous spirit as I can¡¯t stand still in one place. After making my plans to travel once more, I applied many jobs to gain more money for my travel budget. That¡¯s one of the reasons why I don¡¯t seek out for a girlfriend. It will make things difficult for me to keep the relationship to her. (Student boy #4) ¡°Wah! What is this?!¡± I¡¯ve kept thinking about those things when one student shouted out in panicked that draws my attention. I look at the scene in shocked as some kind of magic circle has extended to the size of an entire classroom. The students started to panicked as well as a strong light enveloped my entire vision in white¡­ -------------- (Student boy #5) ¡°What the!? Where are we?!¡± (Student girl #4) ¡°Kyaa! This isn¡¯t our classroom! I¡¯m getting scared!¡± (Student boy #6) ¡°No way¡­ Could this be¡­¡± After the light has vanished, I opened my eyes when I heard panicked voices and I saw that the entire class was here, 30 of them including the teacher. When I saw Kiyoko¡¯s appearance who is also shocked at this, I inwardly felt relief before looking at the situation that I¡¯m in now. We are in some kind of church that looked like it was from Medieval age. Furthermore, the several men were dressed like priests as one would hardly come across in Japan and amongst them was one man that looks like the head figure from his clothing. As I think of these things, the head figure came forward and greeted us like some kind of character from one of the light novels that I read. (Head Figure?) ¡°Welcome, Brave Heroes! We have come and sought for your help to guide us out from our dire predicament!¡± The class is pretty shaken by his words. Even I was dumbfounded by this strange setting. What the hell I¡¯ve gotten myself into now? The Chaotic Life 1-2 1-2 Status After a few minutes of calming down, I and the rest of my classmates including our teacher are being lead to a castle by these strange men. We were put into several carriages that look like it was designed in Medieval times while most of us are trying to understand our predicament. I recognized this pattern as being summoned to another world from the light novels I¡¯ve read, but I didn¡¯t think this would happen to me. Also, I managed to stay calm during this very strange development due to a few experiences from traveling with my uncle. Although this situation puts on top of the weird things that I¡¯ve ever experienced. While we are riding to the castle, I take a look outside and saw many buildings that were designed in European architecture and it was also night time. This proves that we are in a different world as we finally made it to the huge castle that was centered in the middle of this city. After getting off, we have arrived at the throne room of this castle where a red carpet was laid across the center of the room with the knights standing side by side on the left and right of it, the carpet also covered the steps leading towards to throne. At the end of the room were four people dressed in noble attires sitting on their respective thrones. A man and woman sitting next to each other must be the king and queen. A middle-aged old man with blonde hair and a beard, also with a dignified and domineering aura around him. The woman must be around the same age as him, but with her youthful appearance, it doesn¡¯t look that way. She has a different hair color which is red and her clothing matches it. The boy and girl beside them must be the prince and princess too. The young man looks around the same age as us with blonde hair and blue eyes. He has an arrogant aura coming from him and gazes at some of the female students with interests. He must be some kind of playboy when I noticed his dirty stare. The young lady looked 1 or 2 years older than the man while inheriting the hair color from the woman. She looks beautiful, but when I looking at her closely, it looks gaudy like she puts a lot of makeup on her face. (King?) ¡°Welcome, Heroes. I am Yvain Aureolin VII, the King of our kingdom. The Aureolin Kingdom in our world [Oracia].¡± After introducing himself with a haughty matter, he announces the names of his family. The red-haired Queen is named Oblivia. The blonde haired man is the 1st Prince Darwin while the young lady is the eldest Princess Lapis. I was intrigued when hearing the first and eldest of their names. It seems that this is not the rest of their family as the nobles behind them also give their introductions before switching to the main subject. (Yvain) ¡°As you all know, this is a different world and all of you were summoned here by our hero summoning ceremony. We seek your help in defeating the Demon King that invading our land!¡± What with this cliche setting? Seriously, they''re basically asking us regular high school students to fight in their war. While I was thinking such a thing, the guys from our side start complaining as well. (Junko) ¡°Please don¡¯t joke around! In the end, all you want is for these children to participate in a war! That kind of thing is absolutely out of question!¡± Our social studies homeroom teacher, Junko Hoshino, was the first to protest the king. She is 25 years old woman who is very popular among the students and faculty members alike. She has shoulder length brown hair that is tied up in a bun and has a beautiful adult-like figure and face. She has a gentle personality and cares about the students which she earns the respect from the male students and teachers. Soon after her shout, two girls join in the protest, Nagi Aoyama and Rin Ogawa. (Nagi) ¡°Hoshino-sensei is right! This is clearly act of kidnapping! We demand to be sent back at once!¡± (Rin) ¡°Yeah~! If you know how to summon us, you must at least how to send us home right you dickheads!¡± (Shion) ¡°R-Rin? I don¡¯t think you should call them that. They are starting to become angry.¡± Both girls immediately give out their complaints when the third girl, Shion Shingetsu, calms her best friend down. Nagi Aoyama is the chairman of the public moral committee of our school. She is a bespectacled beauty with black Natural Bob hair and a slender figure. She is known throughout the school for being serious and hard working, but she has many friends and is generally well regarded by her peers. She was feared by delinquents and slackers as they tried to avoid her. Rin Ogawa is a petite with a gyaru look and the class mascot. She tanned her skin and dye her shaggy hair in blue since she thinks it is cool. She has a lively personality and talks in a weird way sometimes which earns her role. Although she wears flashy clothing and acts perverted like a dirty old man, she is still a virgin. Shion Shingetsu is a shy girl and Rin Ogawa¡¯s best friend. She has short black hair which her bangs cover her eyes and it is slightly taller than her friend. She loves books and gives off the feel of a stereotypical librarian. As a matter of fact, she was in the library committee. (Student boy #1) ¡°That¡¯s right! It¡¯s impossible for us to do such a thing!¡± (Student girl #1) ¡°Can¡¯t you just let us return quickly!?¡± (Student boy #2) ¡°You''re asking the impossible! Send us home!¡± The rest of the class joined in the argument which the nobles and knight look at them in contempt. Suddenly, the man standing next to the king who is the Minister speak out his words which causes all of us become shocked. (Minister) ¡°We¡¯ve understood how you¡¯re all feeling. However¡­ It is impossible for you lot to return now.¡± (Junko) ¡°What?! Why is that?!¡± (Minister) ¡°Because we¡¯ve only recently discovered the Otherworld Summoning Magic method deep in the ancient ruins of the Demon Country. We don¡¯t have any magic that will return you to your world.¡±A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. (Junko) ¡°T-That is¡­¡± (Student boy #3) ¡°No way¡­?!¡± (Student girl #2) ¡°You mean that we can¡¯t go home?¡± (Student girl #3) ¡°Why, why, why¡­¡­¡± Hoshino-sensei is disbelief at this while the girls behind her are stupefied too. Several students began to panic while others are feeling the despair over their predicament. I was shocked by this as well, but I immediately regain composure when I noticed something strange in their words. If they don¡¯t have a way of sending us back, then that means they gone ahead of summoning us anyway. This pattern is also like the one from the light novels as I have a feeling that they don¡¯t intend to send us back home at all. I saw that they don¡¯t intend to calm us down as they look at us nonchalant until Hikaru Itsuki shouts out which draws the attention of the class. (Hikaru) ¡°Calm down, everyone! I know you are all distraught, but there¡¯s no reason to blame these people! They did this to ask for help so I decided to join the fight!¡± Are you serious?! These people just summoned us without the consent of our safety! While I complained to him in silent, the idiot ikeman talks to the king before any of us have a chance to rebuke him. (Hikaru) ¡°Your Majesty, can you tell us the current status of this world?¡± (Yvain) ¡°Certainly, my Hero. Our kingdom¡¯s situation is temporary safe for now, but I fear that won¡¯t be for long soon.¡± The king explained to us that the war between the Humans and Demons have been ongoing for several centuries. The Demon¡¯s strength are more powerful than any Human can possess. Their invasion has stopped three years ago, but lately, they heard rumors that the Demon¡¯s forces are increasing their strengths over the years. In fear of that, they decided to use Otherworld Summoning Magic method to summon people from a different world. History tells there¡¯s already a case like this happened in the past and the summoned people possess powers that are several times to a few dozen times more powerful than the people of their world. (Hikaru) ¡°You said that you found the summoning magic from the ruins in the Demon¡¯s country. Is it possible that there¡¯s another magic in that place that can send us home?¡± (Yvain) ¡°Yes, it might be possible.¡± (Hikaru) ¡°If that¡¯s the case, then let¡¯s do it! Come on, everyone! We have the power to fight and save these people from their demise! Also, if we invaded the Demon¡¯s country, we might find the way to get back home! Two birds with one stone!¡± Hikaru clenched his fist tightly as he made this kind of declaration, while pointlessly exposing shiny teeth. I held my head in irritation of his act. He¡¯s acting just like those ikemen characters from the mangas and anime. They blindly believe in the words of the king without any doubt and force everyone to join the quest. Although Hikaru¡¯s sense of justice is indiscriminately strong, I think his desire to become a hero is much stronger. I think of this as I saw two people agree with Hikaru¡¯s choice. (Daiki) ¡°If you¡¯re doing it, then so can I. After all, friends help each other, right?¡± (Aki) ¡°Yeah. Although I¡¯m a bit scared, if Daiki agrees, then I¡¯ll join too!¡± (Hikaru) ¡°Daiki¡­ Aki¡­¡± His best male friend, Daiki Satou, and his girlfriend, Aki Sakai, give their consents. Those two are also part of the popular group as Daiki is the ace of his baseball team while Aki is the ace of the swimming club. Daiki Satou is a tall teen with short spiky black hair and robust body from his baseball activities. Although he is not handsome as his friend, he is still popular among the students as his skills have lead the team into the national league. Aki Sakai is a pretty young girl with a slender figure and long wavy black hair. Her looks are a bit inferior to Kiyoko and Mariko, but her swimming skills are a top notch that some students calls her the ¡°Mermaid Princess.¡± I heard that those two have been going out recently. Daiki makes a confession first which Aki immediately agrees as she gives her goodwill towards him. Both are a well-known couple for now. (Mariko) ¡°Huh¡­ I have a feeling you would say that. I will join as well. Someone needs to watch over you.¡± (Kiyoko) ¡°U-Um, if Mariko-chan is going, then I¡¯ll try my best.¡± (Hikaru) ¡°Mariko¡­ Kiyoko¡­¡± Seeing his two childhood friends give their consents as well, Hikaru feel a touch of his friend¡¯s support. After looking at the agreement of the popular group, the rest of the classmates also expressed their approval and went with the flow, even the three girls reluctantly agreeing as well. Hoshino-sensei¡¯s eyes are getting teared up upon seeing her refusal is pointless now while the royal family and nobles are satisfied with the results. However, I didn¡¯t join their cheering as I think about this suspicious situation. When Hikaru questions the king, he only tells us that his kingdom is safe, but didn¡¯t tell us that the rest of the Human country. Also, there have been signs of the previous summoned heroes, but none of them mentioned that they¡¯ve already gone back to their world. When I heard that the class agreeing to participle, I frowned at their behavior. The students didn¡¯t seem to truly understand what it meant to go to war. It might be their means to escape reality and prevent their minds from breaking apart. However, war is not a something to take lightly of. I remember my first time going to the Kosovo War with my uncle Nemo once, and I¡¯ve never wanted to go through that tragic event again. Over there is a ton of death waiting at every corner. No petty justice or good intentions can ever justify war as only the smell of blood and cold metal lingers. This is no joke. Also, if we managed to defeat the Demon King, we might be used as political pawns to conquer other countries. I will not be used as a tool for their own gain. Although even I say that, I have no influence over the class as most of them don¡¯t like me. I bet they won¡¯t even listening to me and will think me as a coward so I refrain from telling them. I only hoped that they realized the consequences of their choices as I make a plan to escape from here. ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­ After the class voice their agreement to subdue the Demon King, we requested training to get stronger. After all, we are just normal high school students without any experiences in combat earlier. The king and the nobles are agreeing to their demands as they expected and decided to start training tomorrow after today. Later, each of us is given a blank silver plate. We are curious about it as the head priest, Yulyana, explain this item to us. (Yulyana) ¡°These plates are called the Status Cards. As the name implies, these plates will show your status in numerical value. It is the most reliable identity card. As long as you have this, it doesn¡¯t matter even if you become a lost child. All you need to do is drip a drop of your blood on it and the card will display your status permanently. Each Class will determine your strengths and weakness.¡± All of the students nodded at his words in understanding as we start the process. I pierced my thumb with the needle and smear my blood on it as the card shines a little before dimming down. Praying that I don¡¯t have weak skills like the templates, I peek at my status and this is the result from the surface.

When I took a good look at my stats, I felt like becoming a character in a game. However, I tilted my head a little in confusion. Obviously, the HP represent health while MP was magic power. ATK, DEF, SPD, and INT respectively symbolized attack strength, defense, speed, and intelligence. I¡¯m surprised that my INT is high, but I think that was due to the experiences of traveling with my uncle. What surprises me the most is that my Class doesn¡¯t show anything. I managed to keep a straight face while answering him, but inwardly I chuckle a little seeing that my trick has worked. I lower my stats and omitted a few of my skills and magic while making fake ones to make look that I¡¯ve barely passed the qualification. I¡¯m worried that I might get kicked earlier if I lower my stats too much. Yaiba and his two lackeys took this chance to bully me as they came over and harassing me harder than Hisao have. I look around to see that some students, especially the boys, in particular, were grinning at my misfortune. Although I managed to trick them for the moment, it won¡¯t be long before they noticed something strange. I can just ask permission to leave the palace directly. However, that might cause them to be suspicious of me and might send out someone to deal with me. Also, I don¡¯t have a lot of information about this world and its rules so I decided to stay in order to gain some information and get a hang of my magic and skills. This magic is interesting. Although the downside that I won¡¯t be able to gain any magic like Recovery, the idea of creating any kind familiar got me excited. If what this information said is true, then that means I have a wider range of different familiars for any situation, even having a familiar with healing factors! Decided to try it out, I lift up my upper body in a cross-legged position and hold my hands near each other as I concentrate my magic power. I start off something simple like increasing my growth as I imagine the power of my familiar. Suddenly, I feel my magic power being drain away quickly when a glow appears between my hands which brighten up my room. It only lasted a few seconds before the glowing stopped and I feel tired all of the sudden as I breathe heavily before looking at my work. In front of me is an egg that¡¯s the size of a football. It is colored in metallic bronze and doesn¡¯t appear to be moving. I never imagined that my first familiar look like this until I realized that it is starting to hatch. I held my breath in excitement as more cracks appearing until it is suddenly burst out in a puff of smoke. Cough! Cough! I¡¯ve been coughing a little from the smoke before staring deeply at the hatch familiar. Cute¡­ Too cute. What I saw is a very cute creature when its opening its eyes. It is a plump creature that resembles a cross between a cat and a dog. Its eyes resemble plus signs, a dog-like muzzle, and pointy ears. It has a white underbody and muzzle. The top half of its body is blue in color when it is curiously looking around before staring at me. I timidly reached out myhand towards it and gently patting its head. It shows no wariness of my actions as it snuggles affectionately to my hand. How very cute. I¡¯m wondering how to establish a contract with it when a symbol appears on its chest while another on my hand. The symbol resembles a blackbird lifting up its wings in a fashionable way. I was surprised by this when the hybridized cat-dog jumps on me and licking my face affectionately while wagging its tail. (Cat-dog) ¡°Wan! Wan!¡± (Shinji) ¡°Hey! That''s tickles! Ha ha ha!¡± I laugh from its ticklish licking before calming down the creature until a voice speaks out in my head to name the familiar. I look at it more closely when I found it has a similar feature like a Wandanyan, one of the characters from the Kingdom Heart series. As if it was listening, the voice said that name has been registered before I have a chance to reconsidered. I look at my Status Card and saw that the name already printed on it while the Empty slot number changed to 4. Which means that I only have a limit number of familiars that I can carry. I also saw that it took 500 MP to create Wandanyan as my MP has been reduced. I decided to not pry over the name since it suites him (I decided to call it he) as I pondered over of how to increase the slots before Wandanyan jumps on me to lick my face again. I¡¯m looking forward to experimenting my power in another world. What I don¡¯t know at that time is this familiar of mine will cause big changes that shocked the world and those who very close to me. The Chaotic Life 1-4 1-4 Shinji¡¯s Progress The world of [Oracia] is composed of four continents; Aestas, Haust, Vetur, and Primavera. Besides these main continents were numerous islands and most of them were undiscovered. The Haust Continent is where the Demons live and there are a varieties subspecies of them like Onis, Asuras, Vampires, Succubus, and a lot more. Their own capital is Mavros which served as the base for the Demon King and her subordinates. The Primavera Continent is where many demi-humans lived other than Humans and Demons like Beastmen, Elves, Dwarves, and so forth. They also have their capital called Chloeros and many demi-humans lived there. The Aestas Continent is composed of many species, but the majority of the population were mostly Humans. Aureolin is located on this continent and it is one of the many Human Countries on this land. Vetur is the only continent where there is little information about the land so it¡¯s an uncharted territory at the present. The reason for it is because of the rough terrain and severe weather that makes the place uninhabitable which many called it ¡°the Forbidden Continent.¡± Two continents, Aestas and Haust, were closely next to each other which is why there are many wars between the Humans and Demons. Primavera is on the left side of Aestas while Vetur is isolated from the three. According to the legend, they were once part of a supercontinent before a great disaster has split the land apart and formed the continents we are living right now. That is what it said from this book that I¡¯m reading right now. I¡¯m currently in the city¡¯s Grand Library where I¡¯m trying to get as much information about the general knowledge about this world in order to survive before leaving this country. Two weeks had passed since I was summoned here with my classmates. My classmates are busy training their skills and magic and I¡¯m doing similar like them while secretly making my preparations for my travels. After finished reading, I put the book aside and read the next one which is about the several Human Countries on Aestas. The Imperial Empire Vermilride is a military nation which is ruled by the supremacy of strength. This nation was founded by a group of mercenaries during a large-scale war against the Demons 300 years ago. The Holy Country Celeste is a religious state where the people there serve and worship their God of Light who said that gave them magic in the ancient past. There are many churches in numerous Human settlements about their God of Light due to their influences. There¡¯s one church in this very capital. There are also many famous cities and capitals in this continent, but the one that I¡¯m planning to visit is Viridian, the Neutral Commercial City. This place was an independent trading city which remained neutral. This country was managed properly, by utilizing its economic power to the limit, it was able to maintain its neutrality. One can get anything they want in this city, it was not known as the commerce center for anything. Also, it was placed on the borderline between Aestas and Haust and they are neutral about the relationship between Humans, Demons and other races which is the perfect place for me to go visit first. Vermilride Empire sound like a harsh place for me to have an easygoing life over there and I might get dragged into something troublesome as they employed numerous adventures and mercenaries to their military so that¡¯s out. Celeste is no good either as it sounds like a frantic place for religious believers. I have a few experiences dealing religious group and they aren¡¯t the good ones. Their belief in their religion varies between groups and members which they might lead sometimes too drastic actions. In other words, religion is pretty scary sometimes, especially about their believers. After finishing the next book and look at the time, it appears that only a few hours have passed since I¡¯ve been here. (Shinji) ¡°It has already been that long, huh¡­ Better get ready for my training.¡± After returning the book to its respective shelf, I exit the Grand Library and walk through the streets where it was flooded with cheers and bustle from the Royal Capital. The sound of merchants touting their wares, the sound children playing around, and the sound of elders reprimanding their overexcited child, it was a very peaceful day. It makes me hard to believe that they are in a crisis right now which makes the rumors I¡¯ve heard from the bars and merchants more closer to the truth. According to them, the Aureolin Kingdom is a magical nation where the land is filled with magic and they have many magicians and powerful knights at their disposal. While it is true that the Human Countries are currently in a crisis, however, due to the recent decrease of magic flowing around here for the past year, they also planned to take the Demon¡¯s territory since their lands are more fertile and richer with magic. Guess they planned to take advantage of the Heroes to win the war while reaping the benefits for themselves. That¡¯s the way Humans did, trying to find advantages in any situation. Well, that has nothing to do with me since I¡¯m planning to travel around. That¡¯s why I start learning about this world as soon as possible and memorize all the influential figures. By paying attention to what kind of opponents I might be facing off against in the future, I hope to establish an easygoing life in this world using the magic I possess while trying not to get too involved with them. After ten minutes of walking, I¡¯ve arrived at the forest outside the town where I¡¯m trying to find some practice targets for my training. Soon, I heard rustling from the bushes near me before four figures came out to greet me. (Shinji) ¡°So it is goblins this time¡­¡± I unsheathe my knife around my wrist when I said that as I looked at the monsters in front of me. Monsters, accursed beings that were believed to be existences that transformed from wild animals after absorbing magic power into their body. It was unknown whether they could be classified as a living creature or not. However, each and every one of them could use powerful unique magic, these vermin are strong and ferocious. They were always relying on their instinct and attacked people in sight regardless of race which is why they were viewed as bothersome. The Goblins in front of me are no exception. They have small stature like a child, but an ugly face with green skin and bald heads. They are the weakest demons, but they attack in groups so I have to be wary of their movements. Also, they have little intelligence as they¡¯re holding wooden clubs as their weapons. (Shinji) ¡°Guess I need some little help. Come forth, Zubaken!¡± I held out my hand as I shout out my familiar¡¯s name. The light suddenly appears beside me before it dissolves and reveals a small humanoid figure wearing silver armor that covers most of its body. The goblins let out a war cry in response to that before charging. Zubaken ready his stance as he formed two blades in his hand. This familiar can transform its body into a living weapon while having high combat skills. It can also turn into any weapon as I desire in case of emergency. One goblin raises its club towards so I dodge that and quickly slice its throat. It squirms a little from pain before succumbing to its wound. Another came over and I stab its head directly which it immediately dies from that attack. I turn over and saw Zubaken quickly dispatched the other two. Thinking that it was over, a bell ring in my head which means my Crisis Sense has activated and I move away from my spot before two more goblins jump on it. It appears those two were planning to ambush me as they weary of my attacks. (Shinji) ¡°Zubaken, sword!¡± My familiar immediately responded my commands as he transformed his body into a silver short sword. I grab it and charge at the shocked duo who were surprised at the transformation scene earlier. Two heads flew off from their bodies as they stumble to the ground. Soon after that, more goblins came and I continued to hack, slash, pierce and other techniques to kill all of the incoming goblins. After a while, the field was covered with goblin corpses as I survived the battle. Thanks to my Weapon and Martial Arts Mastery skills, I can use any weapon at my disposal while using my reflexes to change the flow of battle. Also, with my Crisis Sense, I can avoid any surprise attacks from my enemies and counter them as well. (Shinji) ¡°Puh, I think that no more will come now. Still, it is a bit scary that I¡¯m used to this scene now.¡± I muttered as I saw the massacre that I caused. I killed bugs before and hunted animals for food during the wild to survive. I remembered my first time killing a human when I attack a terrorist during a war. I felt that my heart broke at that time and if not for my uncle, I would have crawled into a hole and never came out. Now I killed these humanoids monsters without hesitation, I wonder that I might be able to kill a human without a problem now. In this world, there are little rights of how we kill living beings since this is in a Medieval-like age. Due to that, it is usually no problem of how Humans, Demons, and other races to kill each other if necessary. (Shinji) ¡°Anyhow, today¡¯s training is done. Good work, Zubaken.¡± My familiar did a military salute after turning back to his humanoid form before vanishing. It still felt weird to me seeing him doing that, but I shake it off as I look at my current status on my card.

After seeing his stats, the higher-ups and my classmates were very impressed of his growth rate. However, compared to mine, it is sort of weak. Well, my increase of stats and power-ups were due to certain familiar of mine¡­ As I think of this, Wandanyan suddenly appears and start licking my face as soon as possible. (Wandanyan) ¡°Wan! Wan!¡± (Shinji) ¡°Ha ha ha! Hey! I¡¯ve told you many times not to appear whenever I think of you!¡± I hold back on my happy familiar before making it disappear. After doing many experiments of my magic, I¡¯ve learned that even though they obey your desire, my familiars possess their will of their own. Not only that, they also have status too! For example, I was able to see Wandanyan¡¯s status.

Thanks to my first familiar¡¯s abilities, Wandanyan, I was able to grow quicker than other people in this world, even my classmates. With the increase stats and growth rate, I might handle any common monsters or bandits on my travels. I made two other familiars I¡¯ve made to increase my chances of battle. Also, whenever I increased my level 5 times, the number of familiar slots went up to one. When I increased my level to 100, I will have 50 familiars at my disposal! Oops. I went too far on my imagination. Even though I¡¯m glad at this revelation, it is not easy as it looks. Each familiar that I want to create depends on the amount of my current MP. It was hard to make three familiars already so I¡¯m putting on hold on the production. Anyhow, I think that my training is done as I went to one of the goblin corpses and cut up it''s chest area where I pulled a magic stone near from its heart. The magic stone is the core of a monster and it is this that provides them with powers. The bigger and better quality the stone, the stronger the monster is. These stones can be refined and are used in the creation of Relics and magical tools. In addition, a magic stone can be sold off in exchange for money since there is a very high demand for these things. Both the military and civilians needed it for their usefulness. I went ahead to dissect the rest of the corpses to gather more magic stones. Although I¡¯m used to dissecting animals, I¡¯m feeling okay doing this after repeating the process during these last two weeks. I think it might because of my high INT that I was able to do this calmly. After dissecting the corpses and picking up their weapons, I wiped the blood off from my knife and went back to the town where I regularly visit the general store to sell off the magic stones. The Chaotic Life 1-5 1-5 Bullying the Weakest --Shinji¡¯s POV-- When I arrived at the training courtyard, there were already many students there. Some of them were chatting while others were doing some free practice. The students from the magician side were asking questions to their instructors while others were practicing their weapons that they were given. Seem they¡¯re working harder than I thought. However, the next scene made me very unsettled. (Yaiba) ¡°Come on~! Hora!¡± (Hisao) ¡°Ugh!¡± (Genjiro) ¡°Weak~ Then how about this?¡± (Hisao) ¡°Gah!¡± (Ryo) ¡°You¡¯re so weak, Ashitaba~ You will only dragging us down with that useless effort. All of the classmates labeled him useless after they saw his stats and his progress after two weeks and the bullies took this chance to satisfy their sense of domination. I have seen this scene several times whenever I came here and their excuse was that they helping him to train better. However, they are no doubt torturing that poor boy. Even with this brutal scene, the classmates who noticed this turned a blind eye to this. Despite we are in the same class, there is no actual relationship between us and Hisao has no friends back at Earth so he¡¯s struggling against their assault. Seeing that they are getting more violent with their methods again, I walk over there to stop them. Although I have no relationship with Hisao, this kind of violence upsets me so I¡¯m only doing this for myself. (Shinji) ¡°Hey, knock it off. I think he has enough of your training (bullying).¡± (Yaiba) ¡°Yo, Fujiki. How rare for a slacker like you came to this area.¡± (Genjiro) ¡°Yeah! That''s the title my classmates labeled me since most of the time that I went out to town. This is the kind of setting I¡¯m hoping for. I didn¡¯t tell them what I¡¯ve been doing these weeks and show them my fake level and status. Normally, I will refuse and continue to tell them off which they further insult for being a coward. However, this happens too many times so I decided to mess with them a little for once. Seeing that I didn¡¯t refuse, Yaiba struck his fist towards me side which I dodge easily. His lackeys surrounded me and swing their stealth weapons to each side. I step back a little as they didn¡¯t hit anything which Yaiba tries to attack me again. Those three didn¡¯t hesitate to get violent as they increase their attacks, but I also increase my speed as I effortless dodging their maneuvers. (Genjiro) ¡°What the hell?! Did he get faster all of the sudden?¡± (Ryo) ¡°Quit dodging coward! This won¡¯t be training if you keep doing it all of the time!¡± (Shinji) ¡°Knowing your enemy''s attacks and evading count as training.¡± (Yaiba) ¡°Tch! Then how about this!? ¡®Fireball!¡¯¡± Seeing their efforts are wasted, Yaiba decided to use magic as he cast one of his Fire magic, ¡®Fireball,¡¯ towards me. I move away from the incoming ball of flame when Ryo activated his magic. (Ryo) ¡°¡®Windball.¡¯¡± That guy made a small ball of wind that doesn¡¯t look like it will hit much before flinging towards me. Sensing that its power is enough to knock a strong man and it is faster than ¡®Fireball¡¯, I hurriedly dodge the attack at the last second as it passes over me. (Shinji) ¡°Oi, Oi. Are you getting intense now? This is just practice.¡± (Genjiro) ¡°Shut it! ¡®Earthball!¡¯¡± Feeling provoked from my words, Genjiro cast a spell which made a small clunk of rocks into a sphere. That looks like it hurt someone severely, but he doesn¡¯t seem to care about that with an angry face of his. It appears that I might hurt his pride a little. Before sending the attack, a girl¡¯s voice filled with anger rang out. (Kiyoko) ¡°What are you doing?!¡± When those thugs heard that voice, they stopped their attacks and looked nervously at Kiyoko who has an angry expression on her beautiful face. She came along with Hikaru, Mariko, Daiki, and Aki too. (Yaiba) ¡°No, please do not misunderstand. We were just helping Fujiki with his special training¡­¡± (Kiyoko) ¡°Fujiki-kun! Are you alright?¡± Kiyoko totally ignores Yaiba¡¯s excuse as she rushed over to my side. I chuckle inwardly when I saw his displeasure on his face while calming down Kiyoko. (Shinji) ¡°I¡¯m fine, Miyamoto-san. Although you might want to check on Ashitaba¡¯s wounds first. He doesn¡¯t look so good.¡± (Kiyoko) ¡°Oh right! Sorry, Ashitaba-kun. ¡®Heal.¡¯¡± Hearing my response, Kiyoko finally noticed Hisao and start casting her healing magic on him. Honesty, the moment that I¡¯m around, nothing else matters to her. I really don¡¯t know how to handle this. (Mariko) ¡°Special training? More like you¡¯re attacking him one-sided.¡± (Yaiba) ¡°No, this is¡­¡± (Daiki) ¡°And before Fujiki came, you guys are being rough on Ashitaba. I might be able to learn some people that I might connect for my travels while avoiding the ones that look troublesome. (Shinji) ¡°... Sure, I will go. It sounds interesting.¡± (Kiyoko) ¡°Really?! Great! The party will be at the Banquet Hall. See you there!¡± I make a wry smile towards the happy Kiyoko who let out a bigger smile than normally. Before being hit by my classmate¡¯s stares again, I went back to my room to get ready for the party. ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­ I have arrived at the brightly glittering party hall where there are a lot of people wearing fancy dresses and a lot of food piling up on the table. The hall was large, many places were gorgeous and decorated well. It was in the form of an all you can eat buffet. The guests in this party were very important people whose name was well known throughout the country. Not only royalty, famous writers and musicians, painters and chefs, and even famous adventurers were included as well. I also dress up nicely in a simple black suit as I watched the people going on with their business until I heard Kiyoko¡¯s voice. (Kiyoko) ¡°Fujiki-kun! You made it to the party!¡± (Shinji) ¡°Hey there, Miyamoto-san.¡± I replied back to Kiyoko who¡¯s coming here with her friends. When I saw her appearance, I daze at her absently and held my breath momentarily before regaining my composure. Kiyoko was dressed in a slender line dress which did nothing to hide her voluptuous breasts and completely exposed her shoulders. Her outfit is styled like a Chinese dress along with the brightness of her glossy black hair, which caused her sex appeal to show and eyes unintentionally turned towards her. Her friends also dressed up for the party which the female side was gorgeous enough to not lose to the daughters of the nobles while the men look more handsome than usual. If I stand next to them, I¡¯m only plain compared to them. (Shinji) ¡°It seems that most of our classmates have shown up.¡± (Kiyoko) ¡°Yeah. Um¡­ What do you think of my look?¡± (Shinji) ¡°It looks good on you. Better than the rest of the female nobles around here.¡± (Kiyoko) ¡°Really? If the maids, noble ladies and Hikaru¡¯s fans of our classmates heard him, they would without a doubt start going red in the face and releasing heated sighs of fascination. I heard those who had made advances on Hikaru already numbered in nearly reached triple digits¡­but due to his extreme denseness, their approaches were just those of ¡°warm and friendly people¡± to him. His denseness level is already compatible with those ikemen characters in several mangas and novels. While his words may sound like flirting, he was being honestly completely serious about it yet Kiyoko replied to her childhood¡¯s comment calmly without being frustrated unlike before. I was speechless at the differences of her reaction until someone came over to this side. (Guy?) ¡°Are you enjoying my sister¡¯s birthday, Heroes?¡± (Kiyoko) ¡°Ah, your Highness. Yes, it is very lively around here.¡± (Highness?) ¡°I¡¯m thankful for your compliment.¡± (Shinji) ¡°Who¡¯s this?¡± (Mariko) ¡°That is Prince Gatsby, the second son of the King.¡± Mariko whispered to me about this guy¡¯s identity which made me remembered about the royal family. The 2nd Prince Gatsby is the second son of King Yvain Aureolin VII and in charge of the military of this kingdom. What in front of me is a boy that looked 1 or 2 years younger than us and wearing a military outfit that looks proper? He has blonde hair and blue eyes like his older brother and the king. However, unlike those two, I felt the sense of gracefulness coming from him which took me by surprise. (Shinji) ¡°My apologies. I heard about Prince Gatsby, but this is the first time I saw your appearance.¡± (Gatsby) ¡°There¡¯s no need for apologies. Rather, it should be us and the Kingdom should be apologizing for dragging all of you Heroes into our problem.¡± Gatsby says that as he bowing deeply his head towards us which Kiyoko and the others try and comfort him in hurry. I was surprised once more at the humility he¡¯s displaying and there are no false lies in his words. He¡¯s really different than the nobles in this kingdom. I heard later that Prince Gatsby took the initiative to get to know the students, and it had not been long before they became well acquainted. (Gatsby) ¡°You must be Shinji Fujiki, isn¡¯t it? I heard some things from your fellow comrades.¡± (Shinji) ¡°Well, I¡¯m sorry for disappointing you. However, I just want to look around town. I sense that the royal family didn¡¯t get along so well. The prince continues to talk with us a few times before leaving. Hikaru and the gang went to join the fun as well. Kiyoko tries to get me to join, but I politely refused and tell her to enjoy with her friends. She looks disappointed before Mariko drags her away as I standing at one corner of the hall, sipping my black tea. I watched how my classmates interacting with the guests. Hikaru was surrounded by many ladies as they want to dance with him while Daiki is dancing with his girlfriend. Kiyoko and Mariko are talking to some noble ladies friends they made during two weeks. Some of the students are eating the food, dancing with their partners, and even a few like me are watching the party. The people here are really having fun in this party. However, I felt uneasiness as I continue to watch the celebration. They are in a crisis of the incoming war with the Demons yet they didn¡¯t any concern about it and the stuff around here look expensive to waste. Really, it makes me find it hard to believe their word even more. Feeling not wanting to stay here any longer, I went around the area for a few moments until I heard an angry outburst outside on the balcony. (Gatsby) ¡°This country cannot survive if we continue like this!¡± (Man?) ¡°I understand your concerns, my Prince. Calm your temper.¡± (Gatsby) ¡°I¡¯m sorry, Bastion. I just need to let out my dissatisfaction for the moment.¡± Prince Gatsby from earlier was talking to his servant named Bastion who has an expressionless face. It seems there¡¯s something going on the prince side as I stand behind the curtains on eavesdropping on their conversation. The Prince and his servant talk some things that are not likely to reveal to the public. According to them, not only the magic around the kingdom is fading, the higher-ups begin increasing taxes near settlements in their territory. Also, the nobles keeping wasting the money on clothing, jewelry and other expensive things which nearly depleting kingdom¡¯s incomes. Prince Gatsby¡¯s plan was to make a peace treaty with the Demons to avoid the war. I heard that the previous Demon King has died three years and a new Demon King took the throne and stopped the war. There are also some several letters for peace that were sent from the new Demon King, but the King didn¡¯t take heed of them as he wanted to take the Demon¡¯s territory. The situation is just as I feared. This kingdom is corrupted and starting to collapse itself. They want the Heroes to start the war against the Demons for their own greed. (Gatsby) ¡°At this rate, it won¡¯t be long until the Heroes were sent out to battle. This should be our problem to deal with.¡± (Bastion) ¡°But those are the orders of the King. We can¡¯t just simply against it.¡± (Gatsby) ¡°I know! If I was born first, I might be able to prevent the incoming tragedy but¡­¡± Gatsby held tight on the bars of the balcony as his servant silently watches. It seems there some heredity issue among the royal family. It not like I can go out and said that I want to help him out. I¡¯m just one man with the lowest position among the group. I¡¯m feeling sorry for the prince. I had a good impression of him about caring the people of his country, but I hoped that he succeeds his objective. Do your best. He didn¡¯t attend the party like the rest of his classmates as he wants to avoid the harsh stares from them and the nobles. His days in the different world were the worse when they found out his weak status. Since that time, most of his classmates were ignoring his existence and the thugs were motivated to bullying the poor loner. The reason that he is a loner because he was a genuine otaku. He simply likes to read light novels, manga, or web novels every day back on Earth. He hid his hobbies from his classmates because of the criticism that otaku¡¯s receive from his world is strong so he usually avoids talking much to his fellow students. When he was summoned to a different world, he becomes excited at the thought of becoming a cheat character like the ones in his novels and manga. However, cruel reality pours over him when he looked at his weak status. Despite this, he wants to become a Hero like his classmates and trains harder than the rest of them. During his non-training days, he spends time on books related to his skills and magic. (Hisao) ¡°I¡¯ll never be as strong as the rest of them¡­ If this continues, I might have to resort to using this¡­¡± Hisao is despairing over his situation as he pulls out an item from his pocket. It is a purple gem-like orb that shines ominously as he remembered the time that he brought it. One day, after finishing his training, he went out to town to find something that helps him in the upcoming battle against Demons. Then he met a suspicious merchant that sell him the orb in the first place. The man said that this item will increase a normal man¡¯s status go beyond the limits, making him stronger than the Hero himself. Hisao has initially doubted his claims, but with the recent mistreatment of his situation and hating his weakness, he reluctantly purchases the item for 1 silver coin. He never uses the item after he brought it as he already felt suspicious of this orb. He read a lot of scenarios about buying suspicious power-ups and that ended badly for the user. Despite his reasons, it seems that he can¡¯t discard the item easily due to the vexation to himself how weak he was and was wavering over on using it or not. (Yaiba) ¡°Ah~ Those were some of the tasty foods that I ever had!¡± (Genjiro) ¡°Yeah! This kind of thing we can only experience because we are special than those weaklings in this place.¡± (Ryo) ¡°Hm? Isn¡¯t that Ashitaba over there?¡± While Hisao is pondering over his decision, Yaiba and his goons were walking back from the party after finished eating the buffet. Hisao say ¡°Crap!¡± when he noticed them as he hastily put back the orb into his pocket. However, his actions have already been seen by those thugs as they grew interested in his strange action. They cornered him after seeing no one is in the area and start questioning him. (Yaiba) ¡°Hey, Ashitaba~ What are you hiding?¡± (Hisao) ¡°U-Uh¡­ Nothing! I was just putting away my stuff!¡± (Genjiro) ¡°Really? If it was nothing, then will you show us what it is?¡± (Hisao) ¡°I-I¡¯m sorry, but I¡¯m not feeling well at the moment so I better-¡± (Ryo) ¡°Hey! Check this out! He had some kind of jewelry!¡± (Hisao) ¡°Ah! Don¡¯t take that!¡± Hisao is making excuses to them when Ryo rudely stuff his hands into the loner¡¯s pocket and took out the orb. Hisao panicked and tries to get it back, but Ryo didn¡¯t let him as he give the item to Yaiba who look at it with great interest. (Yaiba) ¡°What this, Ashitaba? I didn¡¯t know that you have this with you.¡± (Hisao) ¡°G-Give it back! It¡¯s mine!¡± (Yaiba) ¡°No way~ This thing looks a bit expensive so I might sell it at a good price.¡± (Hisao) ¡°No! You can¡¯t sell it! I need it to increase my status!¡± (Yaiba) ¡°Huh? Increasing your status? Well, that is very interesting~ Mind telling me what this is?¡± Hearing those words, Yaiba¡¯s interest in the orb grew even further as he pressures Hisao for more information. The Alchemist boy immediately regrets saying those words and feeling the intimidating aura, he reluctantly tells them about the effects of the orb. Yaiba¡¯s evil grin grew even wider after hearing Hisao¡¯s explanation and decided to take the orb for himself. (Yaiba) ¡°What a nifty item you have gotten there. However, you shouldn¡¯t use shortcuts to make yourself stronger. That is not good sportsmanship. You must use your efforts to become useful to everyone, even though you are a weakling. That¡¯s why I decided to take this.¡± (Hisao) ¡°Liar! That¡¯s mine! I bought it fair and square!¡± (Yaiba) ¡°That¡¯s rude~ I¡¯ll give this back to you when you are stronger than us, although that might take forever!¡± Yaiba laughs at this and kicked Hisao in the stomach, causing the poor boy in pain. He and his lackeys let out their vulgar laughs before walking back to their rooms, leaving the pained Hisao on the floor as he despairing over his predicament. The Chaotic Life 1-6 1-6 The Night Before the Dungeon(1) A few days after the party, my classmates and I were brought to temporary lodging in a small town of Lumine. We¡¯re here in order to challenge at the Widowood Dungeon. This dungeon is a huge labyrinth that consisted of hundred floors. The lower you go, the stronger the monsters become. It is a very popular place for mercenaries and adventurers. It was also a great training ground for new recruits; That was because it was easy to judge the strength of the monsters in accordance with the dungeon floor. At the moment, I¡¯m reading a few books about dungeons that I borrow from the Grand Library. Just like before in the castle, each of us given a room that was designed for two people, but only I got a room to himself. This will be easier to plan out my future travels. This dungeon capturing will count as good experience for us to get used to battles and grind our levels. Tomorrow is the day that we challenge the dungeon and we¡¯re only headed up to the 25th floors. This way, even someone as weak as Hisao and me will be useful. This is what the commander said with his own mouth. Personally, this is a chance for me to see the differences in how I¡¯ll handle the dungeon monsters. Their movement is quick, but they are not very strong. Just stay calm.¡± The one who¡¯s given out instructions and leading our group in the Widowood Dungeon is the Knight Captain Gale. The man have short brown hair and his age is said to be around 35 despite looking young and handsome. However, his sharp eyes tells them that he has enough experiences to gain his position and he was our combat training instructor. Today, we finally entered the Widowood Dungeon where Gale and a bunch of knights have accompanying us Heroes to safeguard us during our training. The entrance of this place was the opening of the cave, but interior was completely different as it has many tree roots sticking to the ceilings and walls. Sometimes there are brushes and and other plant life that normally founded in the forest were here also, hence the name of this place. Not only that, the monsters here were mostly wood based and other animal-like creatures found in the forest. However, they are stronger than normal forest monsters since this is the dungeon and their magic stones are more richer too. Our party were divided into ranks before we entered the dungeon and we have encounter our first monster right now. Hell Rat is bipedal monster that look like a rat except 5 times bigger and have red eyes with sharper teeth. Just as Gale said, they are fast critters as they charge toward Hikaru¡¯s group. The front-line was comprised of Hikaru and his party. Him, Mariko, and Daiki intercepted the charging Hell Rats. Meanwhile, two girls that were close to Kiyoko started to chant. The girls were Nagi Aoyama, the chairman of the public moral committee whose job is a Sorcerer, and Rin Ogawa the loli gyaru who is also a Barrier Master. They were preparing to invoke their magic, staying in the formation like they were taught. Hikaru, whose job class is a Paladin, cut down a few monsters with incredible speed like they are ants while wielding his Holy Sword, one of the powerful Relics given from the kingdom. The sword had a light attribute and any enemies caught in the light that the sword produced would be weakened, and it also automatically strengthened its wielder. What a nasty effect despite ¡®Holy¡¯ in its name. Daiki¡¯s class was a Magical Swordsman, the same class as my fake one except it is more adapt to using magic. His sword is also a Relic which increases its user¡¯s magic while reducing the cost of his MP. Daiki didn¡¯t have any sword training back at our world, but thanks to the training here, his sword skills are more or less than Hikaru and Mariko as he swing his flaming sword to cut down his foes. Mariko¡¯s class was a Samurai, which isn¡¯t surprising due to her reputation back home. She took a battoujutsu stance and drew her sword which all of her enemies were slash in an instant. I was impressed of her refined agility and I find several knights let out their admiration sighs upon seeing that. Guess this will increase her admirers once more. The rest of our class were fascinated by the battle as I hear a chant has responded. ¡°¡±¡±Flare Storm¡±¡±¡± Kiyoko and her group launched the spiraling flames toward the Hell Rats as the monsters let out their death cries before turning into ashes. By the time we noticed, all the Hell Rats were wiped out. The other students didn¡¯t get a turn. It seemed like the enemies on the first level were too weak for Hikaru¡¯s party. (Gale) ¡°Good work! We¡¯ll give the other students the next monster first! But you three might have overdone it a little, don¡¯t you think?¡± Gale let out his comment to Hikaru¡¯s group while admonishing the rear-support who begin to blush from embarrassment. The students couldn¡¯t contain their excitement of their first dungeon battle as they broke out their grins. However, I feel nothing of it as if this isn¡¯t worth getting excited for. The party continue forward with no problem at all as we took turns in battles, and made their way to the lower levels smoothly. Eventually, we arrived at the 20th floor, which is the mark of a first-class adventurer while also nearing our objective. The highest level explored was the 58th floor, but this achievement was accomplished by adventurers over 100 years ago. This dungeon sounds tougher than I thought would be. Still, the rest of us students were cheats so we easily break through to the 20th level despite our lack of battle experiences except me. (Gale) ¡°Be careful now! From then on, the level beyond this floor will get tougher as monsters start to form groups to attack! Also, beware of any unknown traps along the way!¡± Captain Gale¡¯s voice was very low but it resounded clearly for us to hear. Traps were the deadliest features of a dungeon. In some instances, the traps were lethal and most of them appear out of random. As I think of this, a weakened monster was thrown to me and Hisao by the knights again. Up to this point, both of us had not done anything in particular. We were put together behind the cover provided by the knights as we are not wanted to be part of the group battle. I felt no harm from it, but Hisao is doing his best in this training so I¡¯ll let him have the target again. (Shinji) ¡°Hey, Ashitaba. This one''s on you.¡± (Hisao) ¡°But you already let me have the target last time and before that as well. Don¡¯t you think you need experiences too?¡± (Shinji) ¡°Don¡¯t worry about it. What an annoying sound!¡± Despite that I¡¯m covering my ears, I can still feel the shock from their attack as it did not hurt, but paralyzing me instead. Report sightings. Seizing this chance, the Bizarre Lizards begin their attacks as they stench out their tongues toward Hikaru¡¯s group. Although their status are not as high as mine, they were able to shake it off as well and dodged their attacks. Kiyoko¡¯s group were also able to shake it off and tried using magic to counter it. However, the next scene completely caught them off guard. There¡¯s another Bizarre Lizard appear behind them and it managed to spook them by letting out a sound that sounded like a creepy laugh. The girls were surprised by that strange laughter as they stopped their chant. (Gale) ¡°What are you doing? This is a battle!¡± Gale managed to incept the attack in a hurry while cutting down the other lizard. Then he give a scolding to the girls which they apologized like this. Hikaru who saw the whole scene becomes angry. (Hikaru) ¡°Damn you lizards¡­! Scaring the girls like that... I won¡¯t forgive you!¡± Hikaru thought that the lizards are playing unfair for using that dirty tactic and decided to finish them off. His sword start to glow brightly than before as he begins to chant. (Hikaru) ¡°Take this! ¡®Sever Shine!¡¯¡± (Gale) ¡°Ah, you idiot, stop it now!¡± Gale who sense the magnitude of that magic power was shocked and shout out to Hikaru to stop his attack. Ignoring Gale¡¯s warning, the idiot ikeman brandished his sword over his head and swung it down in one motion. His sword form a blade of light from its intense light its emitting. Drawing a curve, the light bisected the Bizarre Lizard without encountering any resistance. The blade of light continued on until it destroyed the wall beyond. The remaining monsters went scared from seeing that attack as they scurrying off. Hikaru turns to the girls with a smile that said ¡®It¡¯s alright now!¡¯ which Captain Gale smacked him. (Hikaru) ¡°Ow!? What was that for?¡± (Gale) ¡°I understood on how you feel, but you need to restain on using that strong attack in here. What if the cave collapsed and buried us along with it?¡± Captain rebuked to Hikaru¡¯s reckless as the latter couldn¡¯t refuted it while lower his head. I also let a sigh from his short-temper as I saw the girls tries to comfort him. Suddenly, I heard noises that sounded like a pack of insects and turn to find it is coming from the huge crack that Hikaru made. When the noises get stronger, some of our classmates begin to notice as well until one of them screamed all of the sudden. (Girl #1) ¡°Gaaahhhh!?!¡± (Gale) ¡°What¡¯s wrong?! Another monster?¡± (Knight #1) ¡°C-Captain¡­ Look at the wall!¡± (Gale) ¡°T-That¡¯s¡­!?¡± Gale turn to see the noises as well as the rest of us saw what has come out from the huge crack. Spiders. A horde of spiders pouring out from that crack as they charging towards us. They look like any ordinary spiders except their sizes are as large as a human if you include the legs. Most of us were disgusted by this, especially several of the girls as they grew pale in sight of them. (Gale) ¡°Damn, Black Arachnids! Could it be we managed to woke up their resting spot? Gets in position, people! Be careful, they¡¯re poisonous! Also, use fire magic to kill them!¡± We received his order as most of the students and knights get ready for battle. The Black Arachnids managed to get in their range as several of us battle with their weapons while some of us launched fire attacks towards the hordes. (Knight #2) ¡°What?!¡± (Girl #2) ¡°No way!?¡± (Boy #1) ¡°Our fire magic didn¡¯t work on them?!¡± The spider horde that was hit by fire attacks came out the smoke unscratched despite their weakness of fire. The close combat group managed to fend off some of the spiders while the magician group overcome their shocked as they releases different variety of magical attacks instead of fire. However, that also proven to be ineffective as well. Black Arachnids aren¡¯t solid but move quickly and irregularly. Furthermore, they¡¯ll come from all directions as they can also climb up and down and left and right on the walls and ceiling causing us to chase them around. Now they aren¡¯t effective by magic, the people switched to using physical attacks to take them on, but we were about to be overwhelm soon if we don¡¯t decrease their numbers. (Gale) ¡°What the hell?! Black Arachnids shouldn¡¯t be able to resist magic! Could it be-?¡± At that time, a huge explosion was vibrating in the room as we saw the monster who came out from the huge crack. Captain Gale stared at the huge monster with blank expression, his mumbles was transmitted loud and clear. (Gale) ¡°A¡­ Black Arachnid Queen¡­?¡± Yes. What came out from the crack is a large spider that is several times bigger than this horde here. However, there is a huge difference between them as there is a figure on top of its torso. The figure appears to be a upper part of a human female figure as I clearly sees the curvy body line. However, the head is the shape of an insect which makes it even more gross to look at. I can tell it is the boss of the spiders as more of them came out from the hole it made. The monster gives out a loud screech which Captain Gale returned to his senses and quickly started to issue commands to everyone. (Gale) ¡°Keith! Lead the students back to the stairs and break through those Black Arachnids! You three! I need you guys to make a barrier as big as you can! We need to stop that monster and its swarm here! Hikaru, hurry and get to the stairs with the others!¡± (Hikaru) ¡°Wait, Gale-san! That monster look dangerous so let us fight too!¡± (Gale) ¡°Don¡¯t be a fool! That monster is no ordinary Black Arachnid Queen! Look at the pattern on its body! There¡¯s nothing from the reports that it has this characteristics so it must be an Unique monster! Those kinds are even dangerous than any ordinary monster as it possesses a different magic than them!¡± (Hikaru) ¡°All the more reason to stop that thing! I can¡¯t just abandon-¡± (Gale) ¡°Even if it not an Unique monster, that Black Arachnid Queen is too much for you guys to handle on your current state! That monster has the ability to produce its offsprings, the Black Arachnids, so they must have the same ability as their mother more or less! Therefore, you need to get out with the rest of the students!¡± Despite being told, Hikaru stubbornly stood his ground due to his overconfidence and sense of justice as he can¡¯t leave Gale and the knights behind. The Arachnid Queen charges at the group, however, the three knights already formed a magic barrier between them the monsters as it block the Queen¡¯s advancement. Then it start attack the barrier using its sharp and long legs which causing small cracks to it as the monster repeatedly hit it in a fast-motion. Meanwhile, I was being protected by the knights along with Hisao as they fended off the spiders from coming. I use my Appraisal skill to look at these spider¡¯s status and find that they possesses a Magic Resistance skill which is why the student¡¯s magic didn¡¯t seem that effective. I also look at the Queen and it possess a stronger version of Magic Resistance called Magic Nullification. This is bad. Majority of Hikaru¡¯s group were mostly magic users which it is useless against the leader of this horde. Sensing the situation is about to turn worse, I decided to not hide my skills and magic as I grab tightly of my sword. Although only 10 minutes has passed, it felt even longer for the students as they battle with their lives. Suddenly, the spider horde begin decreasing their numbers and everyone saw this chance to turn things around. (Hikaru) ¡°Alright! The enemies have no more reinforcements coming so let bring these guys down and advance to the stairs!¡± Being encouraged by Hikaru¡¯s speech and affected from his charisma, the students attacked more fiercely than before as they run through the path to the stairs. I can feel its flesh piercing through as the monster gives out its death cry. It struggle a little from my spear as I can feel its life force being drained away until it finally stopped squaming. I wouldn¡¯t properly have survived if weren¡¯t for my skills.¡± I let out my relief before turning around to see the mess that I caused. There must be more than a hundred Black Arachnids that I¡¯ve killed to power myself up in order to increase my chances against the Queen. The battle against Black Arachnid Queen was really tough. It can spray poisonous acid from its mouth and its extended hairy legs act like a spear to skewered its opponents. Its status were nearly equal to mine and since it is an Unique monster, its special trait makes the monster even harder to kill leaving Hikaru and the others with no chance of fighting against it except me. While I was struggling to fend off its attacks, the Black Arachnid Queen cried out for its subordinates as the spiders came closer to protect their Queen. This looks like a dire situation yet it also a chance to increase my level in order to survive. Taking that risk, I continue battle the main boss while cutting down its subordinates up to this state. I made a few breaths in order to regain most of my strengths. My Matchless Vitality is one of the main factors that I was able to win against the Black Arachnid Queen. Not only my stamina increases, it also increase my healing factors as it only take a few minutes to recover from a deep cut. While I was cutting down the spiders, my level must have gone up by a huge margin. However, I didn¡¯t have time to leisurely look at my stats as my classmates are still in a predicament. As I about to head over there, I feel that same murderous stare at me again along with killing intention as my Crisis Sense has been activated suddenly. Feeling the incoming attack behind, I did a backflip to dodge as the attacker went pass underneath me. (Yaiba) ¡°What the fuck?! How the hell do you noticed me?!¡± (Shinji) ¡°So that stare was from you after all¡­¡± I¡¯ve landed on my feet as I gaze towards my attacker and also my classmate, Yaiba Onizuka. The orb digged into Yaiba¡¯s hand and purple vein-like lines started to emerge from the spot it enter as it moves towards the rest of his body. Yaiba screamed out as if it was painful to him and his body begins to trashed around on where he still standing. The rest of us still stood where we are as we couldn¡¯t comprehend this unusual phenomenon in front of us. My classmates and the knights have the same reaction as changes started to form on Yaiba¡¯s body. First, his hair grows even longer and it gained a hint of purple tone mixed in there. Next, his muscles started to thicken, bulged and expanded as he grew in height. His skin color turns blue and his eyes changed into black with purple irises. After a while, his transformation seem to completed as we turned speechless at the now changed Yaiba Onizuka. Just like his surname, his appearance is now closely related to- (Gale) ¡°Impossible¡­ That boy has turned into a demon¡­!¡± The shocked Captain Galefinished the words that I¡¯m thinking as the demonized Yaiba gives out his inhuman roar where we shuddered from it.
