《Steel Angel and Fairy》 Prologue - Vunna ¡°So, this is the fallen kingdom of Vunna¡¡± ¡°It certainly lives up to the title of ¡®fallen kingdom¡¯ if I do say so myself¡± ¡°Damn straight; there¡¯s nothing even left standing!¡± Three men stand before a castle, or what''s left of it. The whole place is basically rubble, with a side of rubble, with even more rubble to top it off. ¡°Alright, since there¡¯s so much, we need to get started right away.¡± If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. ¡°Well, don¡¯t just stand there, what¡¯s the plan?¡± ¡°The plan¡¯s simple: we split up and each search a third of the place. Rorn, you¡¯ll search the left; Vern, you¡¯ll take the right; and I¡¯ll take the center.¡± ¡°Works for me! Let¡¯s go find ourselves some artifacts!¡± The three men split up each finding many artifacts of the kingdom¡¯s past. Some are worth quite a bit, many are worthless, but they didn¡¯t care: they all agreed that they couldn¡¯t predict what they might find. The man that took the center, Firn, happened to stumble upon a fallen pillar. The pillar in particular wasn¡¯t what stood out. What did was the humanoid girl leaning on it. It seemed that two wings made of metal jutted out of her back, one was broken in half while the other was crooked. The girl looked like she had been through hell and back. ¡°What in the blazes?¡± Firn moved in front of the angel, checking for anything. He tried to pick the girl up, only to discover he¡¯s unable to due to the sheer weight of the girl. But then, she stirred. Then went back to being motionless. Firn knew he had to tell Vern and Rorn, so he quickly ran across the ruins. But alas, when he got back, she was gone. Chapter 1 Severe damage detected. Repair required. Scanning. . . But¡ Nothing¡¯s around here, only a bunch of rubble. I wonder though, why is there so much rubble? What was here before it was reduced to rubble? What happened? And - is that a human girl? No, wait, I think I see wings on her. So, fairy? No, too big. Her wings are¡ broken-! Is she okay!? She seems to be walking toward me. I wonder why? I¡¯ll wait here for now. --- Yep, as I thought. She¡¯s coming for me. The girl stopped right in front of me and looked right at me. ¡°Ummm¡.¡± What do I do!? Because I don¡¯t know! Someone help me! It seems like she wants to say something, but can¡¯t say it¡ Maybe she¡¯s shy? Lets just ask a easy question, ¡°Are you okay..?¡± I asked. She stares at me like she didn¡¯t hear a thing. ¡°Can you hear me? Can you?¡± It seems like she can¡¯t, so maybe not shy? Suddenly, she falls to the ground. I process what just happened in front of me. Oh no. But in situations like this, it¡¯s best to get help! I think¡. Chapter 2 Data missing¡. Scanning¡. Scan failed. --------- Something''s not right¡. I think? I don¡¯t know, I don¡¯t feel¡. What was the word? I don¡¯t know. What should I do? Maybe I could do something. I¡¯ll try at least. ---------- ¡°Haah¡ haha¡ I did it,¡± I breath heavily from carrying the girl with my levitation magic. I finally made it back home, which looks like a ordinary tree. The tree had a door on one of the branches and one at the trunk. It didn¡¯t really matter where I entered, because the girl is too big for my home, so I can¡¯t bring her inside. I don¡¯t want to leave her out here, so I¡¯ll have to ask someone from outside for help. For now, I¡¯ll set the girl on the ground. I fly to a low hanging branch, which has a door placed right above where it came out from. Opening the door, I shout, ¡°Can I have someone please come and help me!¡± and then wait for a response. I don¡¯t need one immediately; can always shout more if I have too. I hear quite yawn from inside and then a soft voice, ¡°Fianne, do you need something?¡± Love this story? Not wanting to keep my sister waiting, I lead her to the girl. ¡°Soooo¡. I saw this girl pass out in front of me,¡± ¡°What happened?¡± ¡°....She seemed like she wanted to talk, but couldn¡¯t for some odd reason¡± ¡°Then¡ Where did you find her?¡± ¡°I think she was walking from a large amount of ruble¡± ¡°So, a ruin?¡± ¡°Yea, probably¡± ¡°...¡± Siu looks at me with a displeased face. ¡°W-was I not s-supposed to help?¡± Unsure of why Siu is looking displeased, I ask. ¡°Of course you should help! She¡¯s probably hurt somewhere, and needs medical attention!¡± Siu yells with her soft voice and somehow manages to be intimidating. Frightened by my sister''s unusual outburst, I ask meekly, ¡°W-what should we do?¡± Shiu gets a serious look on her face, ¡°First we should look for any injuries, then patch her up.¡± ¡°Oh, that should be easy,¡± I say, rolling the girl on her stomach, displaying her broken wings. ¡°These are¡ Metal? I¡¯ve never seen wings like this before¡¡± Shiu analyzes the wings and looks at me. ¡°Fianne¡.¡± ¡°Yes, I know the wings are messed up, but what am I supposed to do?¡± She sighs, ¡°You should tell me right away then.¡± ¡°Sorry.¡± ¡°No worries, as long as you remember what to do next time.¡± Thank goodness my sister is so kind. ¡°Let¡¯s get started right away.¡± ¡°With what?¡± ¡°Fixing the girl silly, what else?¡± ¡°Oh, haha¡¡± Why didn¡¯t I realize that?
