Her skin was smooth and silky with vibrant colour looking awfully alive for the dead. ¡°Lucifer you must let my soul return to earth!¡± Again? why do i always have to deal with her, this is hell even for me. ¡°Adele Hitler, how many times have i told you. A few years of silence passed by without any disturbance towards Lucifer. There was the case of people requesting to see him such as the Noble Demons but he declined. ¡°Im getting bored of this¡± Recently i have been keeping an eye on the humans, the choices that they make surprise me. Their behaviour, actions and emotions are amusing. I have been longing to converse with a normal human for once. ¡°Ahah i have decided, i will be visiting the human world¡± Lucifer made his way towards the center of room with a wide smile on his face, a few seconds later he vanished leaving the room in silence. And me to, how could he ditch me like that LORD LUCIFER! YOU FORGOT ABOUT ME. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lucifer had appeared in front of the Gates of Hell, he was stopped by a tall and skinny hooded man whose skin looked dried without any signs of life. ¡°Hello Azras, i would like you to send me to the human realm¡± ¡°Lord Lucifer¡± Azras bowed down as he noticed Lucifers presence. ¡°Would you mind explaining why you need to travel to the human world¡± Lucifer frowned as his eyes began to glow red, black feathers began to slowly but steadily rain from the skies. ¡°L-Lord L-Lucifer My Apo-Apologies¡± Azras began to choke as he tried his best to stay on his feet. Suddenly the feathers dispersed and the smile on Lucifer''s face returned. ¡°Please do not forget how i obtained the throne in this damn place¡± When lucifer was sent down to hell he had to fight the current King of Hell in order to take his seat, according to the Demons the Previous Demon king had been wiped out completely without a trace of existence left. ¡°Yes My Lord¡¯ ¡°Good now open the doors¡± The gates of hell began to shift as it slowly but steadily opened revealing an eye blinding light, Lucifer entered the room as he saw countless souls from the other side waiting to enter hell. ¡°I Forgot about this¡± Lucifer began to laugh as he set his eyes on the other side of the Gate, it looked heavenly and pure so that the souls waiting believe in hope that they are being led into heaven. ¡°Hah it gets them every time¡± Lucifer continued walking towards the center of the room. ¡°Let''s see there are countless worlds out there with Human life forms, which one should we go to. Oh look this one has Ninja¡¯s that run with their hand behind their backs. Doesn''t that slow you down. Another one with pirates and fruits that give you power?, this is quite interesting.¡± Lucifer continued to search for a world which sparked his interest, after a few hours had gone by lucifer decided to settle down with one of the optiones he had gone through. ¡°Lets see a good old fashioned world with swords and magic, it reminds me of the game i recently played. Dragon stage?, no no it was Dragon Rage wait no that''s not right Dragon A¡­. Well whatever it doesn''t matter. Lucifer flicked his wristas a gate appeared in front of him. ¡°Come on you dont wanna get left behind do you, also i need to think of a name for you. Oh right the world that i saw a moment ago the one with Ninja¡¯s it looked pretty interesting maybe i should go there sometime.¡± ¡°I Guess im a wandering Angel now¡± But Lord Lucifer you''re a Fallen Angel which is slightly different to a normal angel ¡°Do you want to get erased?¡± Lucifers figure slowly faded as he entered the gate leaving the countless souls who witnessed him confused and some in fear as they realised their fate. Chapter 2 - Scent of Life "Finally I get to see some color" Hell was always colorless, well that would be inaccurate as it did contain color. a colour which lacked life leaving a gloomy and eerie feeling with each step. Lucifer stared into the distance, there was life present as far as the eye could see. the scent of moisture filled the air with a gentle breeze passing by. "How long its been since I last encountered something as beautiful as this" There was a speck of moisture is Lucifer''s eyes as he admired the feeling of life, to an Angel such a view might not be pleasant however Lucifer had spent countless years in a realm secluded from life. Starve a human long enough even burnt food would taste good. after a few hours of admiration Lucifer regained his composure, he raised both his hands into view. Suddenly a flame of light appeared in his right whilst a dark flame appeared in his left hand. Looks like I can still use my abilities Lucifer raised his right hand and snapped his finger a wave of darkness appeared around him expanding as it engulfed the color of life. "Seems like there is a village a few miles from here" Lucifer began his journey towards the village as the sun behind him began to slowly set. Ray Violet POV* the moonlight engulfed the room revealing a boy with crimson hair, he stood there without motion staring out the window lifelessly. the room was small and empty, covered by dust and a small bed which was placed near the window. with one glance one could tell this was the room of a commoner. the boy slowly raised his hand reaching towards the moon as if to grasp it. Tomorrow is the day, I have long waited for it to arrive and here it is close enough for me to grasp it. ever since I was a kid my parents have been taking care of me, due to their reputation as hunters I was treated kindly by the village. however the night of the blood moon! it caused the beasts to go berserk as they attacked our village. there aren''t many hunters in our village so my mom and dad decided to fend off those evil beasts, although they were successful... A stream of tear flowed down Ray''s cheek as he clenched his fist. To die to such beasts, it must of have been painful death. soon after they passed away my life turned into hell, I had to work my way through sleepless nights in order to keep my stomach full. I tried applying for the knights trial, however, I wasn''t compatible, I lacked the talent needed in order to become a full-fledged knight. however this time it will be different, the church is going to arrive tomorrow in order to find talented magicians. Ray laid on the bed as the moonlight hovered over his skin, he slowly lost his consciousness and faded into the darkness. "That took a while, maybe I should have teleported" Lucifer raised his head to read the sign at the entrance of the village, it had taken him the whole night to travel to the village and the sun had already risen. "Stathford Village" Lucifer made his way into the village heading towards the center. Ray Pov* It''s almost time Ray stood outside the village center gazing at the priests who had lined up shoulder to shoulder, there was a crowd of young men standing outside similarly gazing at the priests and knights. "Hello there" A boy in simple black clothes with jet black hair and eyes caught Ray''s attention, his eyes seemed to contain a sense of pride and power something which commoners lacked. is he a noble, he also looked quite handsome for a commoner. in fact, his is on a completely different level to those nobles who took pride in their looks? "uh hi?" Ray managed to break out of his trance as he responded. "what''s going on? with the crowd" "We are preparing to leave for the Magic ceremony" "Magic ceremony?" "Looks like we are fated to travel together, Ray" Ray smiled as he glanced at Lucifer a bead of sweat ran down his back as he imagined the headache he would experience during the journey. Chapter 3 - A Natural Disaster A few days have passed since the carriages left Strathford Village, During the journey, they had been attacked by some beasts resembling bears however they were taken out by the knights who accompanied the carriages. other than that nothing troublesome had happened, the journey so far could be considered a smooth and successful travel according to Ray. during the journey, Lucifer took his time conversing with Ray enabling him to gather information about the church. It turns out that the church which they are heading to currently is the church of Light which focuses on worshipping the Goddess of Light Astia, there are various other churches and Gods who govern over different elements. Ray also mentioned Academies of few times which are popular amongst the younger generation, however, if a talented Light Magician is born during the ceremony they will be forced to sign a contract with the church in order to serve them. "We should be arriving very soon" A priest stood up as he informed everyone, he looked quite distressed and avoided making any eye contact with Lucifer. since the priest was quite sensitive to magic he could pretty much guess the elements these youngsters were going to pursue, however when he tried to examine Lucifer his extinct started to scream danger at him he was unable to maintain his balance causing him to take a seat and lose his composure. two days went by without any trouble, the carriages eventually stopped as they reached their location. "Hold!" A guard in front of the gates stopped the carriages in order to examine the passengers, it didn''t take much time before he realized it was the Church he had stopped. "My Apologies High Priest" The High priest maintained his composure as he glanced at the guard, although there seemed to be strict laws in place it did not apply to the Church due to their position within the kingdom of Astia. The Church was seen as the messenger of Astia how could a mere guard dare to provoke them. "Is there a problem?" "Not at all High Priest, Please go ahead" The city guards immediately opened the gates signalling the carriages to carry on with great respect, as the gates opened it revealed eye-blinding colours, due to the goddesses blessing the light within the city was slightly brighter than that of the outside world. the buildings contained a sense of elegance due to their design resembling a much more noble and modern city compared to strathford village. The carriages began to move again after an hour they had arrived at the Church, everyone was asked to leave the carriages and make their way inside. The Church was truly majestic it seemed that some of the structure was made out of gold representing their wealth. there were also statues of the Goddess located at the end of the hall, it emitted light probably because it was blessed by the Goddess of Light. The students were required to line up within the hall facing the statue of Astia, there was a huge orb located right in front of the statue emitting a slight trace of magic. behind the orb sat a man who seemed to be quite old however he was surrounded by a thin layer of golden light. he sat on a throne stationed higher than the orb as he monitored the room glancing at various different individuals analysing them. "Silent the Pope will begin the Magic Ceremony, you will be called one by one and must place your hand onto the orb. The colour of the orb will represent your magic whilst the brightness will represent your talent" The Magic Ceremony began, slowly the villagers made their way to the orb one by one revealing their element and talent. the number of people within the hall had increased by a huge margin, it seemed some of the nobles were also being tested and a few other villages were also brought to the kingdom. The first person who made his way towards the Orb was clearly a noble, which could be discerned by the way he was dressed and his posture. Nobles in this world were seen as high beings which commoners could not dare to go against. "Is Light a rare element?" Lucifer who was standing next to Ray turned around to question him, judging from the reaction of the crowd it seemed like the element was greatly respected. Suddenly the crowd stopped in silence indulged the room, the Pope had signalled everyone with one hand showcasing his authority within the room. "it is not enough" The Pope spoke with displeasure, obtaining high magic could greatly increase the power of the church allowing them to triumph over the other churches. A few hours went by since the start of the ceremony, the hall was empty now and only Ray and Lucifer were left. there were a lot of talented individuals this year, however, none of them had a high affinity with Light which disappointed the pope. although there were 6 people with a high-affinity majority of them from Noble houses, there seemed to be no one who had high affinity with Light. "I''m up next" Ray clenched his fists as he made his way towards the orb. he stopped right in front of the Orb and looked back at Lucifer who gave him a slight smile.This is my chance, with this opportunity I will be able to protect those who are close to me in the future! "Place your hand onto the orb" The Pope looked at Ray with his emotionless eyes, he had expected this year to bring a good harvest. since he has reached an old age it was about time for him to pass away, and passing down the position of Pope could only be done if an appropriate candidate was found. The Pope had also been a genius born with High-affinity light magic, allowing him to rise in position and awaken Plasma. Ray placed his hand onto the Orb. "High Affinity!" The priests took a step back, they had shock written all over their faces. however, the Pope looked down in disappointment. due to the heat caused by the flaming red light, some of the priests were forced to use magic to fend off the heat. "Fire element, it looks like we have 7 people with a high affinity this year. it is truly a miracle, sadly none of them had an affinity with light" Ray was smiling with tears running down his cheeks, all he wanted was to awaken his magic and become a decent magician. however, the outcome had even surprised him. "Congratulations on Awakening a high affinity with fire, please select your academy wisely. You may leave the room" The Pope remained seated as he set his gaze upon Lucifer who was standing in the middle of the room with a smile on his face. "You have been observing me for quite a while now kid, I would tell you to come up and place your hand onto the orb but that would be unnecessary" Lucifer gazed at the Pope, he was initially surprised by the Popes reaction, he hadn''t expected the Pope to reveal him at the end of the ceremony. "Although I cannot discern your identity I believe you''re not here to cause harm to my people" Lucifer didnt expect the church to be welcoming towards him, however that might be due to the fact that they arent able to reveal Lucifers identitiy. "I cant say I''m not surprised by your welcoming behaviour, however, I am thankful. I promise I will not cause any harm to his kingdom, as long as you guys do not pester me that is." The Pope slowly made his way towards Lucifer with a serious expression. "I''ll have to take your word for it then, now could you please release the High Priest of his suffering" Ever since Ray had left the room the High priest had been emitting killing intent towards Lucifer causing him to release some of his aura. "Oh right my Apologies that happens sometimes" The high priest began to gasp for air as his paled expression recovered some colour. "Well I cant say I didn''t enjoy this conversation, but I must leave now Majestic Pope" Lucifer Smirked as he made his way out of the hall, the doors slowly shut behind him leaving the high priest in a daze. "Holy Pope we must capture that evil being and punish him in the name of the Divine Light" The Pope gazed at the shut door with a solemn expression, he wasn''t expecting the events that unrevealed itself before him. "Edward although I believe in the strength of the church, although I believe in my strength. but there are beings out there which we cannot go against, all we can do is accept them as natural disasters and wait for them to pass by" There we beings in this worlds which even large Kingdomes such as Astia wouldn''t dare to offend, for example, a neighbouring kingdom had offended an elder dragon once costing them hundreds of thousands of knights and thousands of skilled magician, and yet they could still not defeat the elder dragon. although the Pope could not fully analyse Lucifers power he believed it would be best not to offend such a being. "Heed my warning, anyone who dares to offend that child will have to answer to me" Chapter 4 - Phoenix Academy "What took you so long?" Ray who was surprisingly waiting for Lucifer asked with a concerned expression, he had gotten quite close to Lucifer during the journey and could even be considered as friends by now. "Would you believe me if I told you it was due to the number of praises I received from the Pope?" "As if, Besides what element do you have an affinity with?" Ray was truly curious, he was quite happy to see Lucifer with a smile since it meant his magic affinity was decent. "Oh right magic, I have high affinity with Dark" Truth be told Lucifer could have chosen any magic he wanted, but since it had been used to being called the Prince of Darkness he subconsciously responded with dark. I''m gonna apply for Phoenix Academy it''s a prestigious academy and can be considered as the top academy in the kingdom of Astia, why don''t you apply as well that way we can study together" "I guess ill be troubling you then" Lucifer and Ray made their way towards a crowd standing front of a group wearing Crimson red robes with a Phoenix emblem located at their back. and a miniature version located at the front near the left breast. there were countless Nobles applying for the academy whilst hardly any commoners could be spotted beside Ray. "So how do they check if you''re worthy?" Lucifer hadn''t taken the test previously, and ray didn''t have any sort of proof which could show the academy his affinity and magic. "Don''t worry they have a miniature version of the magic orb to test you" Lucifer and Ray patiently waited as they witnessed countless Nobles being rejected by the academy, however, there had also been a huge number who had passed. they had been transported to the academy through what seemed like teleportation. "Look Lucifer! that''s Arch Mage Cassius he managed to awaken Space magic at a young age and is considered to be one of the leading figures of Astia" Ray spoke out catching the attention of the nobles waiting in line. "What is a lowly commoner like you doing here, Phoenix academy is for talented nobles not lowlifes like yourself. I who is predicted a rank 7 Affinity with water can be seen near dogs like you" Academies could determine a magicians affinity and rank it based on its strength, a rank 5 or 6affinityy is mediocre whilst a rank 7 could be considered rare. people with rank 8 affinity were seen as a genius with the potential to become a grandmaster magician. lastly, rank 9 or 10 affinity had the potential to awakening and reaching the Archmage level which was seen as the peek of existence as a mage.You could be reading stolen content. Commoners didn''t receive the same rights as Nobles after all nobles were seen as influential figures within the kingdom so they would be favored by academies. I wonder why I felt like protecting Ray, after all, he is a human being. a few hours went by without any more trouble before it was Ray''s turn to take the test. the examiner looked up and began to analyse ray. "Kid we only accept the talented here, stop wasting our time and move out of the line" Ray was shocked although he had expected them to treat him less than the Nobles he hadn''t known he would be rejected with just a glance. Before Ray could speak further the examiner raised his voice releasing some of his magic Aura, Ray who hadn''t even advanced to novice magician fell to his knees due to the pressure caused by the examiner. Lucifer who was behind Ray stepped forward. "He hasn''t taken the test yet so how can you tell he''s not worthy, I believe only a grandmaster can pull off such a feat are you claiming that you are superior to a grandmaster of the Phoenix academy?" The examiner was taken by surprise causing him to retract his magic aura. "Whats going on here?" A figure appeared from thin air revealing an intimidating Aura. "Whats going on here?" "Arch-Mage Cassius" The examiner immediately bowed down to Cassius showing him the utmost respect. "This examiner isn''t willing to let my friend take the test" "Is that right?" Cassius gazed at the examiner with his intimidating blue eyes. "Of course not, I was just making sure he wasn''t lost ill test him right away. P-Please place your hand on the orb young one" After the issue was solved Cassius retracted his intimidating aura and allowed Ray to take the test. Ray who was still dazed due to the situation got up from his knees and placed his hand onto the orb revealing a burning crimson light which produced an intense heat causing the examiner to fight it off with his magic. "R-Rank 9 Fire!" The examiner was in a state of shock, how much would he have suffered if Cassius hadn''t made the student take the test. a Rank 9 affinity allowed the magician to awaken in the future greatly increasing their power. "Congratulations kid you seem to be pretty talented" Caddius congratulated him on his achievement and luck. "T-Thank you!" Ray had actually been noticed by an Arch Magician which caused him to lose his composure, to him such beings were like gods which he had never dreamt to meet. "Ok your the last one, since we only have one spot left" "Wait! what about my friend Lucifer?" Cassius glanced at Lucifer before looking back at Ray, he smiled at the ignorance of this child to have met such a being and not noticed. "There is no reason to test him, I have already analyzed him" Cassius knew it would cause a lot of misfortune and trouble if this child before him was forced to take the test, he had already tried to analyze Lucifer but no matter how much he tried he couldn''t get through his defenses. I should put up a fake facade to avoid catching any more attention since I told Ray I have high affinity with Dark I guess I''ll go with that. "All right your the last two, here are the keys to your rooms" Cassius passed a key to Lucifer and Ray, whilst still trying to figure out Lucifer identity. with the change of his aura suddenly emitting Dark magic it caused Cassius to grow even more confused. "You will be assigned to a teacher, however, the information will be delivered to your rooms, you are required to rest for today as classes start tomorrow morning" "Yes, Arch Mage Cassius" Ray was extremely excited due to this opportunity he received, now that he had made his way into the Phoenix Academy his life would become prosperous. However, it was at the entrance instead of the boy''s dormitory. "To think that an esteemed Arch Mage would lose their temper just because of a few words" Lucifer stretched his hands and walked into the academy, heading towards the boy''s dormitory. Lucifer was a divine being and all-knowing directions aren''t something that he would have trouble with. a few hour went by since Lucifer had begun his quest to reach the boy''s dormitory, the sun had already set and it was past midnight. "Excuse me do you happen to be lost?" One of the teachers stopped Lucifer to confront him. "No I know exactly where I''m going, I''m heading to the boy''s dormitory" "The boy''s dormitory is in the opposite direction..." Lucifer replied half asleep, classes start at 7 am in the morning as Mage''s valued their time dearly. there were a variety of classes however Lucifer and Ray had ended up in Class 1 which focuses on nurturing Mages with High affinity. there were currently 11 people in the classroom including Lucifer and Ray and 7 of them had high affinity whilst the other four had rank 8 Affinity which still had the potential to awaken. "Hello Class 1, from now on I will be your teacher" Cassius entered the class causing the students to stop chattering. he made eye contact with Lucifer who seemed sleep deprived and smirked. "We Are Honored to meet Arch-Mage Cassius" A girl with blonde hair stood up and bowed to Cassius in order to show him respect. Lucifer frowned upon Lewis''s reaction, he carefully snapped his finger causing Lewis to choke as he began to violently cough. it lasted for a few seconds before Cassius noticed what was going on, he carefully signalled Lucifer to stop. "Alright class calm down" Cassius managed to calm everyone down before making take their seats again. "Lucifer although the element is seen as a source of evil it is not always used for evil, magic doesn''t choose your path the path is chosen by the magician you all must understand this before entering the path of a magician. Dark is a very dangerous element due to its destructive power, although the awakening does not follow specific paths what makes it especially strong is that fact that each of these paths can be accessed rather than being forced onto one" The whole class were staring at Lucifer some due to disdain whilst some in envy. Dark was the only element that enabled the user to obtain various types of magic. on the other hand elements such as water could only follow one, once awakened the user would be forced onto one path for example either Ice or snow. "Ok everyone settles down the main class is about to begin, today I will be explaining how you can access your status window. it is actually quite simple, focus your magic energy and simply speak out "Status Window" A Blue screen appeared before Cassius causing the whole class to gasp in excitement. the class was required to access their status window by the end of the day. the first person to access the status window was naturally Lucifer. Name: Ray Violet Magic - Fire Rank - Novice 0 (0/200) ---- Affinity decreases the amount of XP needed to rank up Rank 10 - 50 Rank 9 - 200 Rank 8 - 800 Rank 7 - 3200 etc Strength - 4 Agility - 3 Defence/Magic Def - 4 Intelligence - 9 "Now that you all understand how to summon your Status window I will pass onto you the method to obtain experience through cultivating magic energy, although hunting monsters is a faster way to Rank up it can be dangerous at your level" Cassius demonstrated the cultivation technique which mainly involved circulating the magic energy around the body, most of the students picked it up quickly due to their high affinity. the class ended there as Cassius had something important to do. "Ray where are you going?" Lucifer stopped Ray who seemed to be in a rush. "I need to train and get stronger, I''m heading to my room to cultivate" "That''s boring..." "I can reach Novice two in four days!" Ray got up from his bed and headed towards the classroom, the sun had already begun to set darkening the academy. Knock Knock "Come in" Cassius who was inside the classroom welcomed Ray in, to his surprise Alice was also there. he made his way towards Cassius''s desk before bowing to show his respect. "Teacher I would like access to the Phoenix library, I have already reached novice 1 and would like to acquire some skills" Cassius had mentioned this in class, once the student reached novice one they were able to use the Phoenix library allowing them to obtain a skill. "Looks like you''re the third one here Ray, Lucifer was here a few hours ago he has already chosen a skill book" Cassius got up from his desk whilst signalling Alice and Ray to follow him. Upon hearing Lucifer''s name Alice remembered the scene this morning causing her to blush. "Hi my name is Ray" Due to the awkward encounter, Ray tried to start a conversation to lighten the mood. "yes I know that I''m in the same class as you" "Of course you do..." Alice who was interested in Lucifers identity questioned Ray, she had seen them together during the magic ceremony and wondered if Ray had any idea about his background. however, she had no luck Ray didn''t really know where Lucifer came from. "Your friends with him and yet you don''t know anything about him?" "Well yeah, he doesn''t really talk about himself, although I would like to meet his parents who on earth would name their son after a mythical being" "Mythical being?" Alice wore a confused expression, which for some reason Ray found cute causing him to blush. "Well the light bringer is a Myth, a being with the light attribute more powerful than Astia will never exist" (Cassius) Cassius who was a devoted believer of the light didn''t believe in myths such as the Light-bringer. if the light bringer actually existed wouldn''t that mean Astia isn''t the supreme ruler of light. "Anyways were here, go inside whilst wearing these badges. you have 10 minutes to find a skill book that is suitable to your taste remember you can only pick two novice skill books so choose wisely" Alice and Ray both accepted the badges whilst showing their gratitude to their teacher. both of them headed inside the library in order to pick a suitable skill book for their magic affinity. the skill books within the library were brought from the wilderness, upon killing beast they have a rare chance of dropping these skill books. Ray got separated from Alice as soon as he went inside, each element had their own section which meant they had to go to different areas. Ray arrived at the Novice 1 Fire section and made his way in, he only had 10 minutes to pick two skill books so he had to choose wisely. "Let''s see I need an offensive skill and a defensive one" Ray scrolled around the bookshelf trying to find a suitable skill for his rank, he spent 7 minutes inside before picking two skill books which he was satisfied with. upon using them they both disappeared and caused changes in Rays status screen. he had acquired the knowledge to cast both skills without the need to study. Lucifer Pov* "Since I''m going to follow the rules of the system I have to adjust my strength a bit, while I''m at it ill fix the other stats as well by limiting myself" Lucifer had decided to live as a human in order to fully understand what it means to be one since he was participating in the class it would only be fair if he put a limiter on himself. "Status screen" Name - Lucifer Morningstar Magic - Dark Rank - Novice 1 (150/200) Strength - 15 Agility - 12 Defence - 16 Intelligence - 20 "Ok that should do, I also selected two skills this morning seems like I was the first one to reach Novice 1" "Skill Screen" Shadow Form - Enables the user to turn into a shadow allowing them to blend in with the darkness (0/50) Shadow Arms - The user can manipulate one shadow arm, can be used for combat to wield an extra weapon and also contains strength surpassing the human capabilities (0/50) "Shadow arm sounds useful since I can sneak around ill use daggers and become a full on rogue. this is just like those Rpg games I played back in hell" Since Dark magic hardly appeared especially with such a high Affinity most of the books were untouched which meant Lucifer had access to most of the Skill books without having to worry about losing them. the night went by peacefully since Lucifer had nothing to do he was playing around with his shadow form and shadow arm within his room causing them to level up. Shadow Arms Rank 2- The user can manipulate Two shadow arm, can be used for combat to wield an extra weapon and also contains strength surpassing the human capabilities (Speed & Strength Increase)(Two Shadow Arms) (2/200) Shadow Form Rank 2 - Enables the user to turn into a shadow allowing them to blend in with the darkness, has a low chance of evading Rank 1 magic projectiles when activated (1/200) Shadow Form allowed Lucifers body to become ghost like, he turned into a black shadow which could sink into the ground and blend into the darkness. after a while of playing around with his new skills, he decided to rest since he had to meet Ray tomorrow morning.
"Lucifer" Ray waved at Lucifer who slowly made his way towards the classroom, Alice who was next to Ray had decided to tag along with them since both Ray and Alice wanted to test their new skills. She tried her best to avoid making eye contact with Lucifer. "where are we heading?" "To the practice area, I want to test my new skills" "Ok Lead the way" Ray had already memorised the way the night before so he decided to lead, leaving Alice behind with Lucifer. "So we meet again" "What are you doing?" Lucifer had both his hands on his cheeks which confused Alice. "Protecting myself from your evil hands" Alice had previously slapped Lucifer for no reason, he only wanted to get to know her. "My Evil Hands!?" Lucifer stepped back and pretended to be in great distress. "Don''t harm me, young mistress" Ray who was silently watching them giggled at the scene, he hadn''t expected Lucifer to have a connection with Alice already. "I wanted to befriend her, but it turns out lowly commoners like us arent worth of that" Lucifer tried to make Alice feel guilty which further enraged her. "Liar!" Ray asked cluelessly as he looked at Alice waiting for an answer. "Hush mistress don''t corrupt my friend with your dirty thoughts" Before Alice could answer his question Lucifer gripped Ray''s hand and rushed towards the Practice grounds, leaving her behind. "Dirty thoughts? ILL DROWN YOU" Alice ran behind them and caught up, they had already arrived at the practice grounds. there were various students in the surrounding practising with the dummies. since magic was sometimes destructive the dummies were supported by magic energy enabling them to recover after they were damaged. "Ok Ray go ahead and show us your skills" Lucifer encouraged ray to showcase his skills, Ray who was eager to test them out nodded vigorously before heading to the dummy. He Charged his magic energy and executed Fireball projection enabling him to gather a ball of condensed fire in his hand which he then launched at the dummy, surprisingly the blast caused by the fireball was much more destructive than he had expected it was most likely due to his high affinity. "Wow no wonder Teacher Cassius said fire was a destructive element" Alice who witnessed the scene admired the raw power of fire magicians they were truly fit for combat. "Whats your second skill?" (Lucifer) "Fire Bomb" "isn''t that the same as fireball?" (Alice) Ray smiled as he was waiting for this moment if used correctly firebomb would be a devastating skill. he was truly lucky to get his hands on it. "Watch this" Ray condensed another ball of fire and launched it at the dummy, but this time it didn''t burst it just dropped near the dummy upon impact. Alice and Lucifer waited for a few seconds but nothing happened. "Did you do something wro..." (Alice) Boom! The ball of fire burst into flames creating a big explosion much larger than the previous one, it caught the attention of the surrounding students who were in a state of shock how could a Novice 1 magician create such a huge explosion. "Nice" (Lucifer) Alice who was beside Lucifer was dazed before she regained her composure. "That''s some destructive power you''ve got there" (Alice) "Ok I''m next" (Alice) She waited for the dummy to recover before casting her skill, a Thin layer of water appeared before her launching itself towards the dummy which cleanly cut it in half. Alice was pleased with the outcome causing her to cheer in joy. "That looks really dangerous" (Lucifer) "Yeah I learnt it so I could cut my enemies in half" Alice gave a sinister smile as she glanced at Lucifer. "I also learnt this" Alice raised her hand slowly transforming it into the water, she quickly flung her hand towards the dummy causing a cut at the centre of its body. "That''s a useful skill" (Ray) "How about you Lucifer, what skills did you learn" (Alice) "Wouldnt you like to know" Lucifer grinned whilst walking away from the dummy. "Wait that''s not fair we showed you our skills" (Ray) "Ugh" (Alice) "I''ll show you another time, besides do any of you have daggers?" "Yeah I do, my father is a bit overprotective and gave me two magic engraved daggers" (Alice) "Magic engraved?" (Lucifer) "It increases the capability of the dagger, for example, its sharpness and endurance" (Ray) "Ill hand them to you for 6 gold" "G-gold!" (Ray) Ray who came from a commoners village had never seen gold before, it was a currency which only rich people could get their hands on. "Of course this world has a currency" (Lucifer) Lucifer exclaimed as if he had been enlightened "Whats with you two?" (Alice) She gazed at Lucifesympatheticmpathic eyes, how unfotunate specially for lucifer to be born with such low intellect. "So you don''t have the gold?" "No, but I can pay you back later" (Lucifer) "Whatever, here take them don''t forget to pay me back" (Alice) For some reason Alice thought she could trust both Lucifer and Ray, Judging from their personalities they didn''t carry any evil intentions towards her. Alice took how two daggers from her bag and tossed them towards Lucifer, they were both silver daggers with magic markings around the surface. "It has increased sharpness and reduced weight" (Alice) "Thank you" (Lucifer) "Both of you better head back and cultivate, we have an examination at the end of this month. it''s more like a tournament" Alice was the first one to leave as she wanted to cultivate and raise her rank, after a few minutes of talking Ray decided to head back to his room as well. "I guess I''ll go back and rank up"
