Chapter 2 Chapter 2 The devolved soul woke up from it¡¯s ¡®slumber¡¯ and looked at the being in front. But, the witnessers still stared in stupor and awe at the long gone Astral Being which transcended every expectations and limits, once thought to be impossible. They realized that there would always be someone or something better than them out there, somewhere¡­ The thing that had clouded their judgement and reason dissipated, making their view and perspective wider. What was odd about it was that the egg was forming out of absolutely nothing, it just appeared. Another fact was that it was absorbing almost all the abnormal or phenomenal powers in the region for its formation. A swirl in space rippled melodiously up to 10 times until the egg was fully formed. The egg had no color nor definite shape but the most humane word to describe it was ¡°abnormal¡±. As the beast had a body similar to a dragon with all the hard exterior of scales but the tail contrasted. It also had three eyes. Two of which were a fascinating but eerie red but the one on the forehead was a dazzling gold. His face was similar to a mischevious devil fox with dragon like whiskers. Furthermore, it had two giant, well bigger than himself, ¡®unordinary¡¯ wing-like limbs on his back. The wings looked strong, firm and deadly as proven by the countless bony spikes attached on it. The beast was already aware of the changes to its former human self. Correct, the peculiar beast was Arthur. Arthur was no fool, in fact he could be counted as one of the most knowledgeable beings in the known multiverse. But as a famous person once put it, ¡°With Great Power comes Great Responsibility¡±. Arthur was now searching or more accurately, sniffing for food and water, resources everything needed. It had walked past various bizarre plants and wonderful creatures akin to itself, all thought to be folklore in his past life. But, he did not panic or run away as ¡®God¡¯ already gave it the knowledge of all the plants, animals, beasts, worlds, etc¡­. He was basically a walking encyclopedia. Arthur was very grateful to the benevolent god for allowing him a considerable headstart in his new life. Arthur immediately rolled to the side to dodge the lightning strike. Arthur was at a very big disadvantage due to his size, cub like body and strength. But, something inside him told him that he would be able to tear this lowlife apart. It might just be his primordial instinct but he trusted it. He had incidentally activated his bloodline without his acknowledgment due to the near death experience he was currently in and trust he had in his insticts. He continued on his path until he reached a lake, though small in size it was high in purity. A hazy mist engulfed him as he walked through towards the lake. But he subjected it to thinking that he was still not strong enough. ¡° Sob¡­sob.¡± He heard a sorrowful cry, both beast and humane but when he looked around he didn¡¯t see anything. Even after searching around for a while, he didn¡¯t see anything. He was at a lost to what to he could do until he realized what the water in the lake was. The cocoon seemed fragile, yet it exuded an aura of absolute zero. It had beautiful ice lines, along the mesmerizing white cocoon or shell. Arthur could be seen but he seemed as though a harmless and normal beast cub inside with his third eye closed, and legs scrunched in a fetal position. His black scales now had a smooth look but they were undoubfully more hard and durable. Arthur felt like all his impurities were immediately removed in his evolution. He now could sense anything up to a range of 1000 meters with his evolution. He immediately used it and he was shocked at what he saw. Ephemeral orbs of elements, some known but others unknown, flew around everywhere but the most shocking was that a huge amount of it, all forming an outline of a being, was in front of him. It was the crying sound he had heard from before. The being was crying pure droplets of ice as it finally noticed the ¡®unusual¡¯ thing curiously looking at it. ¡°Sniff! Sob!..Hm?¡± The being was in shock but it quickly turned into joy. It was ecstatic that it had finally been noticed after a million years of grief and pain. A vortex of gravitational energy sucked the being in. After a few minutes, he finished his assimilation. He was shocked at how long he took to assimilate all the energy and excess energies but that just credited how powerful it had been. Although he had an almost limitless amount of knowledge, he found it boring to just cheat. In the five years of his stay, he had become quite accustomed to his new body and he had established a connection with almost all of the elements, with lightning, destruction, void being the strongest. He had already devoured countless exotic plants, defeated foes and even some treasures. As such, his current power could be said to be around God level, both strength and defense. Coupled with a myriad of his plundered/acquired skills he could be around Godking level if he went all out. Arthur had also grown considerably in size as his real form was around the size of a large dragon and his counterfeint form was shrunked to the size of a fully matured wolf (biggest hybrid). ¡°Grr¡­.¡± The deep rumbling and intimidating pressure woke Arthur from his thoughts. Arthur instantly activated the many physical boost skills in his arsenal and opened his third eye¡¯s ability to the fullest. It immediately conjured a protective barrier around itself. ¡°Hm¡­?¡± Although it¡¯s barrier had withstood the attack, the barrier showed clear signs of decaying. Though, Arthur reappeared instantly behind the dragon from using one of his instant movement skills, [Shadow Step] [Shadow Step] allowed the user to move instantly from any visible shadows in a 3 mile radius. It was basically an assassination skill. Appearing from the Dragon¡¯s shadow, Arthur released a torrent of hellish black flame on the dragon, many of which were deflected by it¡¯s barrier. Arthur knew he had to get rid of the annoying barrier first before he could deal any damage. [Metamorphis] The onslaught of hellish black flame stopped suddenly and morphed into tiny wisps of frigid and hot orange.They rapidly grew in size until they showed signs of explosion. But the explosion contain both scorching fire and frigid ice. The atmosphere suddenly went down to a bone-chilling freeze and instantly rose in a heat.The Elder Dragon was no exception as it¡¯s barrier had been completely shattered to pieces and even itself had suffered some damage. ¡° Roar! Burn to Ash, ignorant creature.¡± The Elder Dragon rose up, with four titanic wings, defying the laws of gravity as it created a violent gust of wind as it ascended towards the sky. It looked down on Arthur as it released a scorching hot fiery meteoric breath towards Arthur. The meteor was at a titanic scale and could easily be classified as a national disaster. But, Arthur stood calmly, excluding his fervish third eye, with a few words escaping his mouth. [ Materialise Longinus type-Asura¡¯s Wrath] A highly advanced, heavy, destructive plasma turrent laid itself on Arthur¡¯s back as it frantically aimed its prey. The four winged Dragon sneered at Arthur as it had prided itself on it¡¯s breath. The plasma turrent charged as it released a ungodly death ray towards the Ascended Dragon. The highly destructive plasma and overbearing meteor clashed with high intensity. For a while, it looked as though the meteor was winning but then it suddenly showed signs of breaking and being pushed back. Cracks rippled across the meteor with many of its flame dispersing before the condensed, true fire. ¡°Gahhhhhh! Curse you, wretched creature!¡± The plasma penetrated the huge meteor and soon, the dragon. A vortex pulled the god beast in, slowly devouring all the accumulated essence of the dragon. After the devouring had been completed, Arthur braced for impact. Sure enough, a series of pain followed but Arthur knew it was just a small wall before his further rise in power. Arthur¡¯s connection with the element; fire, earth and lightning grew even deeper as he felt himself ¡®shedding¡¯ his old skin and evolving to a higher state of existence. He would turn into a girl as that would balance his karma and it was also a requirement for him to further evolve. But, still he felt a bit overwhelmed even with his mental power and capabilities. He felt a bit ¡®weird¡¯ and faint headed but nonetheless decided to go out into the world tomorrow. But, before he did anything he knew he had to change his name. This would be his official appearance in the world and he wanted no ties to his former geek self. ¡°Hm, maybe..Eris? No¡­Cele-Celestia!¡± Arthur, now, Celestia has taken his first step to glory and fame. She knew there were greater beings out there, beings that could easily kill her. But, every legend started with a humble beginning and this was her legend. She felt that now was the time to go and make a name for himself in this DXD world. She thrived for power and knowledge. Thinking that, I ¡®unlocked¡¯ my skills and went inside my mansion and locked it again. Well, I should probably sleep for now since I¡¯ve got school tomorrow. Kuoh Academy Umu~ This is definently Kuoh Academy. Well, even in the anime not much is known about Kuoh Academy, other than the fact that it was originally an all-girls private school. At some point before the start of the series (when the old school building was still in use at that time) Kuoh Academy changed into a co-ed school and the new school building was made. The Kuoh Academy has several division such as the primary division, high school division and college division. The high school division of Kuoh Academy has multiple annual events such as the Ball Tournament, Sports Day, School Trip for second year students and School Festival. As a proud 3rd year student of the secret school of devils-in-training, I wore a white long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, a black shoulder cape and matching button-down corset, and a magenta skirt with white accents. I don¡¯t really know why but I feel like I¡¯m being stared at. I mean, I know I¡¯m kinda cute but seriously, why are even girls looking at me like a piece of meat! AH! Shit! I need to quic- ¡°Would you please join the Kendo Club?!¡± ¡°No, Please join the Beauty Club!¡± ¡°You should definently try out the cheerleader squad!¡± Shit! I¡¯m not good with people. Un, I have decided. Time to run! I ran immediately towards the academy with ¡®mortal¡¯ speed. It wouldn¡¯t do me any good if I were to be discovered now before my debut. After a couple of breaths, I, Celestia Yamamoto, have realized what true ¡®fatigue¡¯ means. Now then, where am I? Is this, ah¡­ yes it is the classroom of Issei and noone¡¯s here yet.. Maybe, I should just wander around and maybe visit the Occult club. And, so I explored around the academy and noticed something weird. This Academy had a secret underground chamber, who knew? Little did Celestia know that this secret chamber was a seal to one of the most powerful beings in existence. I should probably check it out after school finishes. Now then, it¡¯s time to mee- killing intent! I immediately use [Clairvoyance] to see who was following me and probably kill me. ¡°Come out.¡± ¡°¡­¡­.un..¡± An adorable petite girl with white hair and hazel eyes appeared from a shadow?! The front of her hair has two long bangs going past her shoulders and several loose bangs hanging over her forehead, while the back has a short bob cut. She also wears a black cat-shaped hair clip on both sides of her hair. No, no that should be some sort of magic, I mean she hasn¡¯t unlocked her spiritual powers yet. Screw it, this is the DxD world, anything can happen. ¡°¡­..Follow me¡± So, I follow said person to her destination which was obviously the occult club ¡®or¡¯ secret meeting place for demons. I mean, just look at all the enchantments and barrier spells cast on this shit. The club house is a three story building, with the third story serving as a clock-tower. It has been painted white with a black roof with vines creeping up to the second story. The club room interior is a wood-paneled room with Victorian-style couches and chairs along the walls. One side is set up to be able to be used as a bath, and a large Gremory Family magic circle is also there to allow teleportation to and from clients. I know at least this much about the occult club from reading the Fandom of Highschool DxD. The problem is, the moment this door is opened it could be considered as my true step in the realm of gods and demons. But, my thoughts were interrupted by the squeaking of the wooden door which is my real debut. When the doors were opened, I saw the whole crew of Rias¡¯s peerage, including my bro*AHEM*Issei or Welsh Red Dragon Emperor. All of them looked at me in various ways with Rias¡¯s expression morphing into a mysterious yet delighted expression. ¡°Good morning.¡±
