《Clockwork powers? Sure! Wait, why am i on a fantasy world?》 Prologue Mitch threw his bag onto the table and closed the door. Only to have it collapse and disappear onto the floor. He had found himself in a circular patch of grass, surrounding this clearing were trees that seemed to climb up into the clouds. Wondering where he was, Mitch heard a voice shout out. ¡°Hey.¡± Turning toward the mysterious voice, Mitch was immediately freaked out by the artificial ¡®creature¡¯ in front of him. This creature looked like a mannequin wrapped in wires. ¡°Sup, bet you never thought that you would ever see anything as magnificent as me.¡± ¡°wh-what are you.¡± Shouted Mitch ¡°me, well I¡¯m the god of engineering, mechanical engineering to be exact. Most people just call me the god of clockwork or machinery though, as to not confuse me with other engineer-related gods.¡± Replied the so-called god. Now that he had calmed down, Mitch took a closer look at this ¡®thing¡¯. It wasn¡¯t actually a mannequin, it would be more accurate to call it a robot. The robot had many different types of technology, with its one arm a set of gears and springs, its chest a metal frame encompassing pistons, its leg wood with copper wires duct taped to its exterior, sending and recurving signals to tiny engines that pulled cables serving as muscles. The rest of this mechanical man was impossible to understand by Mitch, it looked like a mess of materials which functions he could not begin to think of.The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. ¡°I want to make a deal with you!¡± said the god, ¡°I''ll give you lots of power and in exchange, you¡¯ll show people how amazing I am.¡± ¡°am I dead?¡± said the shocked Mitch ¡°no, why would I propose an offer like this to a dead man.¡± ¡°Why me? What¡¯s so special about me?¡± ¡°Goodness, your one of those mortals, the ones that ask a lot of questions! I didn''t pick you, you¡¯re not special, your just lucky. So, do you want to work for me or not?¡± Feeling a bit put out, but happy none the less, Mitch replied ¡°sure, why not¡± ¡°great see you in a bit.¡± ¡°WAIT!¡± cried Mitch, however he was too late, the god had vanished leaving but a mark in the ground and a backpack. The mark was in the shape of an arrow and pointed towards the tree line. ¡°Well, I might as well go where he wants me to, not like I have any other choice. He¡¯ll show up again, wont he?¡± With nothing left to do, Mitch grabbed the backpack and followed the direction the gods arrow pointed toward. As he walked, he noticed a gigantic wall stretching into the horizon. Upon this wall was a gargantuan gate, and, surrounding this gate were guards armed with spears and brown leather Armor. Mitch groaned, ¡°goodness me, I¡¯m dead.¡± Chapter 1 He assessed the situation in which he was in, a weird robot God had showed up, he had appeared on a forest and now he had reached a medieval town looking place. He wasn''t sure of that last part however. As he examined the crop fields surrounding the wall his backpack shook, there was a ?phone? ringing inside ,it had a copper colored exterior and a impression of a gear on its back. Mitch-Great just what i needed, more weird shit that makes no sense. Now that he paid attention, his backpack was full of weird shit that he had never seen but before proding inside anymore he answered the call. God-took you long enough. Mitch-its you again? The fuck is going on, can you answer me that? God- yeah, i was gonna tell you about that but i got a little stuck and had to go back, so i called you here so you could preach my existence into this world. Mitch-that''s it? That''s all you have to say? Mitch calmed himself before yelling as he didnt want those guard finding him before he had a clear idea on what to do. God-and your world is dead! He looked at his phone even more confused than what he had been before. Mitch-say that again? God- your world is gone, done, finished, doesn''t exist anymore poofed out and your sorry ass and a backpack full of things was all i could get out of scrapping it. Mitch-im confused. God- you''re not the first guy i do this to, so listen, your world was about to end anyway, the constant pollution was gonna cook half the planet,a disease was gonna kill the rest, and the few fuckers that survived were doomed to die of an asteroid in like 20 years that was 73 kilometers in diameter, your world was already fucked and i waited to the closest i could get to the very last moment to pull you outta there, so do me a favor and thank me, also do your new job. Mitch- oh god! God-yes? Mitch-Not you! God-well i put a book in there explaining everything that happened and what you have to do now so call me if you need something else, peace! He hung up leaving mitch clueless again, snapping out of it he searched the backpack not looking for the book but instead taking notes of everything he had in it. He found a thermic metal bottle with water inside, a pair of extremely well fitting gloves made of double layered leather with the outside layer cut out in the finger joints for more flexibility, a book which he assumed was the one that god had told him about and a gun, this gun however looked out of place, it looked like a revolver yet at closer inspection the cylinder didn''t open to reload nor did it rotate and the barrel was pulled down to its center. As he stored it all back onto the backpack he noticed he had forgotten to search the smaller front pocket. He opened it up slowly pulling the fabric back, there was a leather box inside that was kept closed with a magnet, he opened it pulling out a small card that read: ¡°Sup boy i got you a few things in here so you can start your adventure, water bottle, gloves, knife, instruction manual, phone and some money,i hope you enjoy. P.s. don''t throw this box out,its used for sending you things as you go. P.p.s i sent you some underwear if you ever happen to shit yourself during your trip¡± He cursed that God internally and searched the rest of the pocket finding a survival knife and a small bag with coins he had never seen, some were made of copper others tin and a single smaller gold coin. Mitch-well, better than nothing. I just hope i get some answers this time! He flipped the book open. ¡°I have brought you to this world so that you spread my existence through the world, however this isn''t the world you''re used to, more like the worlds of stories, we use this world to clean up the residual negative energies that gods create and the people of these kinda worlds gain power through destroying the manifestation of those energies, you now operate with a similar system. Good luck.¡± Mitch tried flipping to the next page only to realise this wasn''t the beginning of the book and that in fact that was all that was written as every other page was empty. Mitch-AW,COME ON!!!The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. The guards by the gate turned towards the source of the scream, mitch just gave up and headed towards the gate. As he got closer he noticed that almost every guard there was slightly shorter than him who was 1,80 meters which made sense as in medieval times people were much shorter Mitch-hello i would like to go into the city. Guards- um, ok, you''ll just have to go through a quick inspection. They made him several generic and quick questions, what was his name, age,was he carrying any weapons. Mitch-does this count? He pulled out the knife showing them its blade. Guards- not really, lastly, what''s your occupation! Mitch hesitated on this last one, what was he gonna tell them. Mitch- do i really need to tell you? Guards-fair point. Mitch smiled at the guard¡¯s statement. Guards-scribe, what''s his level and occupation! Scribe-i''ll check! Not sure. it¡¯s called arch-engineer his level 1 it''s both passive and active. Guards-alright i guess you can pass, cause no trouble! Mitch headed into the city and checked a map that was posted right by the entrance. There were several districts to this city, there was a food district, a shops district, 2 housing districts dividing the wealthier and a religious district which housed the church, orphanage and the school that is until the name adventurer guild appeared on the corner of that district at which point mitch knew what he was gonna do. Mitch wanted to go to the shops district as he wanted to check how much money he had exactly, but came up with another idea, he walked towards the church has they might be more trustworthy than some merchant trying to scam a fool. Once he stepped through the inner wall he saw it. A blue granite chapel 8 meters tall with 7 symbols carved in a circle over the double wooden door that were 2,5 meters tall giving it an even bigger sensation of grandioseness to it all. He pressed the door with his hands, it was closed however, leaving him looking around for either the priest or anyone that belonged to this church. He walked around looking any other church building which he found out was part of the orphanage has he moved closer to its gates he saw a few nuns supervising the kids, calling out one of them he tried asking her for how much each coin was worth. She had straight beautiful brown hair which cascaded of the sides of her face making you focus on her bright green eyes and rosy lips. Mitch-excuse me, i would like to ask you something, could you tell me how much this is worth? He pulled out one of the tin coins he had inside the pouch. Nun-of course, that''s worth 50 royals. Mitch slowly pulled other types of coins and asked their value until he had examined every coin except the gold one. Mitch-what''s the average salary of someone in this town. Nun- i''m not too sure of that one my child, but around 550 and 800 royals. Mitch-one last thing, how much is this one worth. He finally pulled out the golden coin from his pouch and noticed the immediate state of the nun as she gazed upon it. Nuns-that one is quite the sum, it''s a small gold coin worth a 1000 royals the only one bigger than that is the large gold coin worth 2500. He wanted to ask more questions but he had already exposed himself to much, he gave her a large copper coin worth 15 royals and ran out of there as fast as he could. In total he had 2350 ¡°royals¡± with him so he finally headed towards the shops. Mitch-well let''s see what i can buy with this money. After visiting most of that district he only found 3 places that really seemed to interest him within it, there was a clothes store that sold protective gear and right across it a blacksmith that although focusing more in making nails and hinges also sold some weapons and lastly was a goldsmith by the gate of the wealthy housing district that not only sold rings and necklaces but also made enchantments and worked with soulstones and mana cores which although mitch didn''t exactly know what they made he already had a feeling that he would need them later on. He visited the clothes shop first, its store front only had two windows that showed very little of what was inside yet it still had an immense charm and class to it, as he stepped inside he could hear the footsteps from his running shoes on the stone floor of the shop and soon enough the owner appeared from the back of the shop. His grey hair bounced as he walked towards mitch, he twirled his moustache on last time before speaking with him. Merchant-So what are you looking for son? Mitch-do you make armor here? The merchant set his hands by the counter and looked at him seriously. Merchant- yes, leather tunics and gambits if you want jack chains you''ve gotta talk with the blacksmith across the street. Mitch- can you do both? Merchant-what? Mitch-can you make me some leather armor with padding? Merchant-yes but its gonna cost quite a bit. Mitch-that''s ok. They spent almost an hour designing his suit but ended up with deciding on a leather padded vest and a pair of trousers which had also been padded but more lightly as to not restrict motion. Merchant-Something like this will cost you almost 450 royals, and you have to deposit 200 right now, is that fine with you? Mitch-its ok i have the money to pay right now even. Could you do me one last favor? Tell me of a good place to spend the night. Merchant-just use the guilds accomodations its cheap as long as you don''t destroy anything in there. As so he headed towards the guild, even though the day had barely started for some people here, mitch was already done. He walked into the guild and asked for any available rooms. Receptionist-we have a few, the price is 10 royals but you have to deposit a damage fee of 150 royals which you may pick back up once you leave if you''ve not caused any property damage. Mitch just threw the money for 3 days onto the counter and waited for her to hand him the key. Receptionist-here you go! And this is the key to your safe, if you don''t pick up your things after 5 days of your departure we will assume you dead and confiscate anything inside for ourselves. Mitch yeah, yeah! I got it! He went upstairs and opened his room, it was small with a single person bed inside and a small safe by the corner, he threw his things on the floor and layed on top of the bed hoping that by tomorrow he would have a clearer head. Mitch- i fucking hope he gives me some goddamn answers tomorrow cuz i''m getting real tired of this shit! Chapter 2 The sun shone through the small musky window over the bed, mitch rose himself from his side setting his feet on the wooden floor, he had slept with all of his clothes on, instinctively he grabbed his phone to check the time. It was that damn phone given by the God on his pocket instead. He used the fact that he had calmed down and had slept well to properly examine the phone, it lit up before he even touched anything showing only 3 apps on it, the phone app, an app named clock store and a to-do list app. Mitch looked around the room until his eyes stayed on the backpack. He had to get more intel on this world, so he chose to call that dickhead of a god. God - hello? Who is this? Mitch - hi, its me, the guy you sent to another world. God - oh hi, what you want? Mitch - what i want? I want some answers! God - did you read the book? Mitch squeezed the phone with all his strength, he was about to lose his patience Mitch - yeah i read the book it doesnt tell me shit. God - dude, you are in a fantasy world, you have unique powers and a God backing you up, rick by the way, that''s my name. Rick - Just do what a normal guy would do and explore the damn world and be a hero or whatever and once you get there you just have to praise me and spread my name and existence. Mitch - alright fine i guess that will do, got any suggestions before i hang up. Rick - yes, learn how to fire the gun i gave you, become an adventurer and check the mission list while you''re at it, i think you already have a few things to collect. Rick hung up and mitch grabbed his backpack and left his room. There were around 20 rooms within this building just like his, he locked his door and went onto the desk on the lower floor. He could smell something from the corner of the establishment as 3 men carried the body of a huge boar with 2 pair of tusks that had been gutted in order to decreased its weight, they appeared to be delivering it for a quest as the employe by the counter checked it for damages. Employe-I think it will do nicely, minor cuts on its belly, but most of its skin can still be used! The 3 men sat on the chairs by the corner and waited for their payment. Receptionist - can i help you? The one who had spoken was the same receptionist from yesterday, now that he wasn''t tired he could give her a proper look. She looked to be around his age, with short black hair and wearing glasses. Mitch - im new to this town and i wanted to register as an adventurer. Receptionist - sure, the one who takes care of the registrations is that employe, you just have to talk to him! Mitch headed towards the next counter and waited for the other person to finish up with those 3 guys. He was a burly men with thick arms almost the same size as mitch which was odd as most people here tended to be smaller than him. Employe - what is it? Mitch - uhhh, i wanted to register myself as an adventurer please. The employe gave him a sideways glance as he turned around and pulled a piece of paper and a dipping pen. Employe - are you sure about this? We don''t take responsibility if you end up injured or die! Mitch - yes i''m certain! Employe - Name? Mitch - Mitch Conner! The employe immediately raised his head and stared him down. Employe - You''re a noble? Why didn''t you tell me earlier! You are a paladin of which God? Mitch was struck silent by those questions, he didn''t know what he should answer, it probably wasn''t a good idea to reveal himself now as they could be religious fanatics that didn''t like heretics. Mitch - I come from a noble family but i''m not one myself, i was disowned! Employe - ok, i see, sorry for that. But still we are are gonna need to check your job and level! Mitch - ok. The man pulled mitch¡¯s hand and closed his eyes while taking in slow breathes as if he was trying to make absolutely no noise. Employe - Arch-engineer? Level 1! Are you seriously gonna become an adventurer even with no experience? Mitch - don''t worry about me! Employe - Ok then, i think that''s all, just pay the fee and we¡¯ll have the tags and license in two days! Mitch handed him over 15 royals and walked away. After leaving the guild he decided to head out and explore. He left the city and watched as a group of other adventurers walked past him. He wanted to check where they were heading, he grabbed his gun just in case and shoved the barrel in between his belt and pants. One of the members of the group kept glancing back at him every few steps Adventurer A - who the fuck are you? And why are you following us?! Mitch just gave him a blank stare and stopped walking pretending that he was shocked and that he didn''t know what he was talking about. Adventurer B - Sorry, he''s been a bit jumpy since he got in a fight this morning. The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Mitch assured him that it was ok and asked where they were heading. Adventurer C - the dungeon by the rockcliff, there are monsters of level 23 there though so we intended to just explore the first level. Mitch - oh, me too. He had no idea how strong level 23 was but he had a bad feeling about it, and he was only gonna explore the entrance with them. As they went mitch tried looking at the other things he had yet to check on ¡°his¡± phone. He started by opening the clock store which worked like the play store except this one sold what appeared to be tomes and artifacts, he tried clicking on one giving him a description.
Regenerative stimulant
  • Increased body recovery from wounds by 73%
  • 16 hours effect.
  • Light disinfectant effect
He looked for what the cost of the stimulant was. He ended up finding a smaller description beneath that told him the necessary ingredients.
Hornet berry seeds (0/12) Red cotton leaves (0/7) Spoons of flour (0/3)
He would need to search for some of those things later. Next he examined the to-do list app, there was a whole page of achievements done and only 1 more yet to do. Entering the city, finding lodging, figuring out the value of money, getting armor,... Almost everything he had done was in here, and he figured out why the god gave him no answers too, he was made so he would have to figure it out himself in order to get its rewards! Most of them gave him money which would appear on that leather box he had but becoming an adventurer gave him something else.
Clockwork soldier production vol. 1
  • 1 Basic unit
  • Cost:40 mana
It was a thin book with a red cover, when he opened it the pages seemed completely black but when he looked closer he could see some microscopic letter than seemed to be zooming in quickly until he felt like he was skimming through the words at an incredible rate. Mitch - awesome! Mitch¡¯s whisper wasn''t noticed by the others thankfully. They had been walking for around 15 minutes when they stopped. Adventurer B - hold on, there''s a corrupted rabbit ahead, rachel, can you take care of it. Adventurer C/Rachel - sure! Mitch - hold on, can i take care of it? They looked at him confuses but ultimately agreed to let him do it. It was a brown rabbit with long ears and red eyes it seemed to have 2 little humps on its head. Mitch pulled out his gun and aimed with both hands on it, he fired it but no sound came out, only a slight whistle as the projectile flew through the air hitting its shoulder and killing it instantly as its lungs were crushed. All Adventures - what the fuck was that??? Mitch - An old artifact that was given to me long ago!(yesterday counts as long ago, right?) It seemed to stick as they did not ask anymore questions Adventurer B picked up the rabbit corpse before continuing their trip. They reached their destination soon after, it had a temple entrance to it, once one passed through its door a portal revealed itself on its back wall. Adventurer A - wanna come with us? Mitch - didn''t you think i was spying on you or something? But yeah i wanna go! Adventurer A - What''s your job? Mitch - im a arch-engineer, and you guys? Rachel - i''m a sniper, michael (A) is a pit fighter and john (B) is an axe wielder. Michael - isn''t that a production job? Mitch - it''s both a fighting job and a production one. He had remembered what the guards had told him the day before, which he assumed referred to the same thing he has asked. They crossed into the other side, and the place they had reached looked like a giant dome with its interior filled with platforms covered in vegetation and lights that seemed to emanate from all around as if the air itself released a soft light. Mitch - So, what exactly did you guys come to do here? Michael-We''re here for 2 things, gathering branches of rock-wood and catching necrophage basilisks. They jumped from platform to platform with mitch shooting a few things on their way. He ended up gunning down 2 basilisks although these did not go as easily as the rabbit, he shot the first one on the neck making a large hole through which it bled out but the second one, he hit on the side barely going through it''s tough scales and pissing it off, thankfully john brought his hammer down on its head killing it right after. Mitch asked the group to stop as he wanted to try something, after they slowed down he tried making one of those androids, but just as he tried he felt himself become weaker and weaker, until he collapsed of exhaustion. He woke up a few minutes later still groggy. Michael - Finally! are you stupid? did you just try something way out of your limit? Mitch - uhhh? Michael - how could you not see you didn''t have enough mana, its right on your stats! Mitch apologised and they kept going, as they went he felt more and more stupid, how could he not have thought of checking for an inventory or even a menu. Mitch - (whispering) stat screen.

Mitch looked at his stats, they were accurate if you took into account how he had been before coming here, he had always been clumsy and had an awful memory especially for birthdays and mathematical formulas but he had been a good thinker. He wanted to examine everything first before he spent his points. He started with the titles to see what he had gotten since his arrival.
Titles
Disciple of a God
Disciple of innovation
Mad man
Tiny hero
Slayer of Goliath
The first 2 made sense but he had no idea what the rest entailed and what he had done to get them. Mitch - hey Rachel could i speak with you for a second? Rachel - sure. Mitch - this might sound odd, but could you tell me the meanings of some of my titles. Rachel - I know some of them but its not like i can help you if its a weird one. He told her all of his titles except for the gods related ones. She ended up telling him what they meant and did.
Mad man: face an opponent with double your levels. Causes a resistance to be formed against intimidation and panic of 20% what one may normally resist
Tiny hero: face an opponent with 20 more levels and win. Gives of an increased sense of trust 12%, resistance to hesitation/increased courage 25%
Slayer of Goliath: kill with one strike an opponent 10 levels above you. All enemies above your level suffer 3% more damage than normally
Rachel - Do you seriously have those titles? Mitch - yes! She gave me a surprised look. Rachel - you must have had a rough childhood! Mitch - i just got them now! Rachel - What??? Chapter 3 Rachel - But they are just level 21, you can''t be level 1! Mitch - Im not! Rachel - uh? Mitch - Im level 3 now. Rachel - That doesn''t help. How? Why? Mitch - Don''t tell anyone but i was sent by a God! She set her hands down and raised her head with a worried expression. Rachel - I''m very sorry, please forgive me and my group, we had no idea you were God sent. Mitch - shhh, i don''t want anyone to know about it, i just need some answers! Rachel - what? Why? You should already be all knowing! aren''t you supposed to stop the flood? Mitch - Flood? You mean like in waves of enemies! and i need answers, not more questions. Rachel - Well, yeah, that''s what the god sent heroes do normally, they are brought to fight the oncoming monster waves. Mitch - we will continue this later, for right now pretend im a normal guy and come visit me later at the guild, i have a room there that we can talk in. They both headed back onto the rest of the group and continued their search for the rock-wood and basilisks. They ended up in a platform far from the entrance, there was a tree there that they had seen from far away it looked like an oak but with a brighter color of brown to its log. Mitch - what do they even use this stuff for? John - the sap of it turns as hard as ceramic but slightly more elastic stopping a crack from breaking it apart so it''s used as a substitute for bottles and other wares. Mitch - then why are you guys taking the branches? John - they serve as cheap mana conductors, rings, rods, wires, they can be used for a lot of things Using some rope they tied all the branches and strapped them onto their backs, with Rachel and Michael taking each a large bundle of them. Michael - Let''s go back, we''ll find the rest of the basilisks on our way there. They found the other 3 basilisks, this ones were together, making it a harder fight. Mitch - i can hit one but after that you''re on your own! how are you gonna do this? Michael - we¡¯ve got some spells to back us up. John! John - what? Michael - give us your speed buff ! And Rachel, you throw a flare and a water whip! They put themselves in position for the first strike, john placed a blessing upon them and hid as close as possible with michael who casted a buff on himself before taking out a long club and a spike plated glove, mitch sat behind a tree further back and Rachel climbed one to get a better angle. Michael gave Rachel the signal and she threw a ball of light and fire right onto the 3 basilisks eating away at a corpse. The sudden flash left them with no idea where to go leaving them defenseless to mitch¡¯s shot and the high pressure water jet. The one shot died immediately and the one hit by the water whip had a hole torn into its skin. John and Michael then jumped onto the 2 left with michael taking care of the injured one and john swinging his axes head onto the other. John - done, now we can head back. Mitch was gonna volunteer to take the dog sized bodies but he remembered he was still wearing the clothes from his first world. Black jeans and a red shirt with a thin black jacket over it, he would need to get more clothes from the tailor, not just armor. Mitch - give me one of the wood bundles, i''ll take it of your shoulders. They headed their way out of there and back into the more normal world, the way back was going smoothly so mitch tried finishing his exame on his status

He could feel himself become stronger, faster, etc. He could feel everything around him change a bit, in retrospective he should have done each one individually to compare the changes but it didn''t matter that much. Now that he had more than the bare minimum to work with he tried using the clockwork soldier again. He watched as a thin smokey substance left his hands and formed a very, very crude wind up doll made of a crystal material that looked like the most brittle glass ever made, it had cavity in place of the hand crank. Mitch put his gloved hand forwards touching it.
Basic Clockwork unit settings Mana:0/5 Consumption: 1/minute
Armor and support material
Mana conductive material
Battery core material
Mitch assumed he had to change a few things for it to work, and charge it of course, so he chose the first option to see what he could get.
Armor and support material: Stabilised mana waves: poor resistance to impact, shatterable Rock-wood resin :medium resistance to impact, harder but still shatterable.
Mitch chose the second and to his double surprise not only did the robot become a white doll due to the material but it didn''t consume the branches on his back, he chose the other options and ended with a completely rock-tree robot since its conductors were decent and boosted its consumption to half and served as a temporary battery too, it wasn''t that good as it only sent it from 5 to 7 but it was better than nothing. He placed the wood onto the robots arms and increased his pace to call them. Mitch - hey guys check it out, look what i made! They all turned to see a white, faceless, thing, stumbling towards them as it tried to catch up with its master. Rachel screamed, michael pulled out his mace and john stood there like a dumbass trying to figure it out. Mitch- dont worry its mine, its just to carry the wood but it might be able to take a little more weight so you can give it the other bundle of wood. John - oh ok then i¡¯ll (long silence) keep going, i''m not gonna say anything. Rachel put her fears aside and helped michael give it, his wood ( pun not intended, we do not support minion robot rape). John gave michael 2 of the bodies and they continued their trip back. After around 2 minutes the robot made a sudden beep and stopped on its tracks still holding the bundles of wood under each arm. Michael - why did it do that? Mitch - i assume lack of mana but he should still have a lot. Has he examined the robots screen he noticed that there was a sudden increase on the consumption from 1 to 3 a minute. Mitch - it ran out of energy because its carrying a heavy load, each bundle weights around what? 20 kilos each, it was my first creation so it''s not great. Michael - can you fix it or not?! Rachel - be a little easier in him, he is helping us! Mitch - its ok, i just need to charge it back up, although having something that can store more energy would be useful. M They continued their walk back but this time mitch was by the robots side and kept charging him once in awhile so he wouldn''t stop. They reached town and were told to stop by the guards, after a quick inspection and checking their adventurer cards they questioned mitch. Guard - You¡¯re that weird kid from yesterday. And this time you brought that! The guard pointed to the robot carrying wood. Guards - can you tell me what that is? Mitch - a mana powered artifact designed for transportation of materials. Guard - i feel like you¡¯re still gonna have to pay the weapon fee, that things just doesn''t sit right with me! Mitch - but its just something i made. Guard - and weaponsmiths make swords, they still have to pay the fee! Mitch - fine, how much? Guard - 7 royals He gave the guard the money and went on to the guild, there they sold the basilisks and went onto another shop to deliver the wood, they went past the clothing store and into the ¡°enchantments store¡±. Old guy - what? Michael - were here to deliver the branches you ordered. Old guy - lets see, average quality quality, not even young branches, i can give you around 60 royals for the whole thing. Michael- what? No way they were by the further end of the dungeon they weren''t mass harvested, its gotta be at least 250 for them, we were attacked by necrophagous basilisks for crying out loud! Old guy - The best i can give is 85! Michael - 200! Old guy - 100 Michael - FINE! 130 AND THAT''S GOING ALMOST FOR FREE! The old guy gave him a shit eating grin and went behind his counter. Old guy - here! He handed him the money and we left his shop. Michael - fucking ass of a man! Hey mitch, here, have your share. He handed him 50 royals which might sound like a lot but considering they sold the basilisks for 200 and got 130 right now it''s not an equivalent part considering he had killed 2 of them and had helped carry the wood all the way back. Rachel -give him a fair share! Michael - why? He isn''t part of our group. Rachel - Just do it! He ended up giving an extra 20 royals and mitch left. Chapter 4 Mitch went back and visited the old mans shop to check a few things. Old man - you again? What? Mitch - i wanted to see your products thats all. He walked around the shop while the owner stared him down, the shop had shelves pilling with a variety of products from canes to what appeared to be small engines and glass counters filled with jewelry and a variety of small but expensive pieces. Old man - are you looking for something specific or just trying to piss me off! He had already thought of what he wanted from this store long ago but he wanted to piss him off a little. Mitch - yes i am. A silence filled the shop as he looked around, leaving only the tapping of the mans finger on the counter as its only noise Mitch - i need your most powerful magic conductors and something that can store a lot of mana too! Old man - A shitty adventurer like you can''t buy my best products, just get o... Mitch had dropped his ¡°wallet¡± on the table and placed the gold coin on top. Old man - fine then, i guess you¡¯ve got enough money! The counter was soon covered in all kinds of materials, from canes, to rings and some amulets. Old man - So, what is it, you want? Mitch - i kinda wanted something different, i want you to tell me what they are made of and how good they are. The old man''s eyebrows twitched, he had no idea what this kids goal was, he seemed really interested in them but he only wanted to know how good they performed, he didn''t care about function. Old man - sure, this ring is made a copper mana rich formation so it has a good conducting effect and the jewel in it can store around 8 mana allowing for a quick cast! The old man''s questions didnt stop inside his head as he saw mitch grab the ring give it a look over and set it down again with a smile like he had just stolen it. Mitch - And what is your absolute best mana conductor and ¡°battery¡±! The old man shuffled through the shop keeping his eyes on mitch as he grabbed a small crystal and a metal plate. Old man - here, a level 73 mana core and a gold/cardill conductor i can cut into whatever i want. Mitch grabbed the mana core and raised into the air, its blue and green glint shone on his face and over his black hair. Mitch - how much? Old man - mana capacity ir cost? Mitch- both! Old man - it can hold a little less than 400 mana and costs 3650. Mitch - What about the wiring/plate Old man - gold is a great conductor, absorbs almost no mana and cardill causes mana to be dispersed, which would normally be bad but when it''s mixed with a good conductor causes all the mana to have a smoother flow to it, its 1800 for a plate like this plus the cost of manufacturing what you need. Mitch held the plate in his hands and examined it, it was green, light green and almost didn''t shine, as he placed it down he heard a light crunch. Old man - hey careful there, it''s a great conductor but cardill is easily shattered and gold is extremely malleable so it dents easily, you need a good protection around it! Mitch had already gotten what he wanted, so he gave an excuse not to buy them. Mitch - i would need something with a greater capacity than that, it''s not good enough, but thanks anyway.A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. He left the shop with a smile on his face, he had gotten himself some great materials for his robots now, he just needed to get himself more manpower of his own to fill them up. He passed by the clothings shop and picked up his armor from that kind tailor and ordered some regular clothes as well he paid 100 coins as deposit. Mitch - man, i''m really hungry, do you know any good place to go eat that doesn''t cost much. The tailor looked up at him and said: -Well, there is a small tavernish places that sells decent food and its not that expensive, i go there with my wife sometimes. Mitch - you have a wife?! Tailor - the hell are you trying to say with that kid? Mitch left the tailor''s shop while he mumbled about respecting his elders and what not. The plate of food they had served him was something that looked like potatoes but had an acidic taste to it, a stake from nothing else than carnivorous basilisk and a chunky soup that smelled like carrots and tomatoes but had none of which, he ended up paying just 8 royals for it all. Has he left he thought something to himself: he hadn''t seen any ¡°mages¡± so far which seemed odd considering that those 3 had spells so magic was a definitive thing in this world. As he finished those thoughts his phone rang and he ran to the nearest alley he could find. Mitch - What? God - i was checking your progress and you haven''t done much yet(chomp) which is making me bored(chomp) so i decided to intervene. Mitch - wait you¡¯re eating? Aren''t you a robot? God - i''m a god, and second are those really the first things that came to mind when i spoke of a literal divine intervention! Mitch - well, yeah i guess. God - Anyyy way, you had a good thinking there. Why isn''t there more mages around? Ill tell you why, they can''t define where to spend their points unlike you, cuz believe me everyone wants to be a mage, strength is limited to your body but mana, oh boy, mana¡¯s limit is the sky! Well, technically you can go beyond that but that''s not the point. Mitch - Soooooo? God - spend it all on wisdom and intelligence, btw intelligence doesn''t make you smarter, just increases the speed at which you think and wisdom is easier to keep things memorised. Mitch - wait, you can read my thoughts? God - bye! He hung up. Mitch ran to the guild and went onto his room, after pondering for a moment he decided to spend ? in wisdom and the rest in intelligence

He checked his phone and looked at the achievements, he had yet to collect the reward for opening his menu for the first time. It was another book with a skill, ¡°robot modifications¡± that even a baby could understand, was written in pencil on its cover, he read it too.
Robot modifications: Allows a person to change and customize a basic unit or even change the definition all together using some mana.
He felt he could understand how it worked a little better now, he didn''t understand what how each part worked but he knew they were there, he knew it had small engines that consumed mana to work and that the material used in them was the same as the conductors even though that wasn''t optimal, and that the material used as shields and supports could be different things, and that he could change the size of things or make more of them, and, and,... He had kept thinking of different things and combinations for a good 20 minutes before he realized time was still moving and he needed to go places. Mitch - crap i''m too excited i need to vent it off. He went downstairs and asked for his card that had been done already and got himself a permit for his robots, it was an unconventional one as it had to be made just for him as it didn''t fit a weapons permit nor a animal/pet license that some had for their mules or their horses but he finally got it after paying the normal price of a weapons permit of 50 royals. Speaking of money, due to his constant earnings and spendings he had no idea exactly how much money he had on him so he headed upstairs yet again and counted it all, he had 2602 royals, even with all of his spendings it didn''t make a dent as the money he had received from completing his tasks kept piling up, too bad there weren''t more of them. He had finally calmed down so he decided to relax a little and look through the clock store¡¯s ¡°suggestions¡±, there where a lot of things that caught his attention there, an oven, a mana powered generator that made electricity, and an actual clock, more exactly a pocket watch with an engraving of a face plate or a metal skull over a cog, maybe later since it didn''t seem to need that many materials to make, but then he found it, a large bike with offroad suspensions, it was black and rust orange with a red seat making it look like it had been dug out from a scrap yard. Mitch - i NEED this bike. It had an insane amount of materials needed but it was mostly iron and aluminum which he could get some ingots from the local blacksmith, then there was the leather needed, ?A bottle of oil? and finally 1 liter of rock-tree sap and 4 liters of tanglers resin. Mitch - I just got myself something to do. Chapter 5 As he made a list in his head of what he would need he remembered that Rachel was gonna visit him today, so he wnt down stairs yet again. Receptionist - uhmmm, im nit supposed to interfere but, do you need something? Mitch - did a girl come trough here yet? Receptionist - i dont think so. Since she might take a while he decided to take a look around the quest board It was a tall wooden board with holes at regular intervals from which the ¡°notes¡± hung from in nails. ¡°Guard duty, protecting a group of miners on the 7th level, day 25.¡± ¡°Lumberjacks needed, 1st to 3rd, day 23.¡± ¡° looking for a brown panthers hide, 500 royals, must be in good state¡± Every note had completely different contents, they posted all kinds of jobs here. Then it came to mitch, he didn''t have to look for each of the materials himself he just needed to post some quests for them, the oil and tree resins didn''t have to be collected by him and also those last ingredients that he couldn''t get his hand on at the moment, such as a mana stone and some good conductors, which were not specified in the store as it could work with any kind but there would be problems with efficiency. Rachel touched his shoulder jolting him back on track Mitch - Rachel, finally, come with me. They headed into his room and sat on the straw bed. Mitch - thanks alot for this, i''m really grateful you decided to help me. Rachel - thats ok, its the minimum i could do. So what is it that you want? Mitch though for a second, he didn''t know exactly what to ask, he only knew he had a lot of things yet to learn. Mitch - i guess we¡¯ll start with the thing i''m supposed to fight. Tell me about the flood! Rachel - its when a dungeon breaks out releasing all of its monsters continuously, and it''s not just a month''s worth at once either. Mitch - it continuously expels monster individually or in waves? Rachel - it continuously resets, spewing out monsters. Mitch - and those are? Rachel - what? Mitch- (facepalm) the resets. Rachel - its when the dungeon refills at the beginning of the month, filling it back up with monsters and treasures, only royalty or nobles can go there in the first 5 days but after that it''s fair game. Mitch - why? Rachel - because the drops are more frequent at the beginning. They ended their conversation there as mitch wanted to ask for other things. Mitch - tell me, how much would a quest for 4 liters of tangler sap pay and a liter of rock- tree resin too Rachel - i don''t know around 70 for the rock wood and 350 for a liter of the tangler. But why don''t you go get it? Mitch - well i could, but i don''t know what they look like or how to get them. Rachel - i know. Mitch - that''s helpful, but i need to do a few things today first. *Brrrrrr* *brrrrrr* Mitch - hold on Rachel, it''s that fucking God. God - sup, look i needed you to take care of something right now. Mitch - im busy! Rachel - what are you doing? Mitch - this little thing allows me to talk to god. Rachel - really? That''s incredible! God - *cough* as i was saying, you¡¯ve got shit to do, unless you wanna see the world blow up. Mitch - like you did to mine?!This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. God - your world was already doomed, get over it, i gave everyone there a quick and painless death that they didn''t even realise happened, unlike what would happen if i left it untouched. Mitch - fine, what is it you had to say. God - the other Gods have been nagging me about you not being good enough and that you won''t be prepared, i need you to reach dungeon¡¯s bedrock, its final level by the end of the day. Mitch - ok? Why! What''s in it for me? God - listen, i know its hard but i need you to do this, if you succeed i can get you a few more things. And you will eventually need to get in touch with royalty if you wanna win this thing, i can help you with that too since we both know there will be power struggles and other shenanigans if the wrong people find out about you. Mitch - ok, i''ll do it! God - thats the spirit, also you''re gonna need more ammunition if you wanna fight the 10th level so i''ll give you this right now but you can''t fuck up or the other Gods will find out i have been giving you things that weren''t allowed.

Higher caliber modification in progress 14%
Mitch - did i even have a choice? God - yes, but this one gives you a better chance at the moment. *Click* Mitch - at least he is becoming less of an asshole. Rachel could you do me a favor? Rachel - What is it? Mitch - help me reach the last floor of the dungeon! Please! during that line he had raised himself of bed and had placed his hand on her shoulder. Rachel - Are you crazy? That''s suicide even for a hero of your level! Mitch - ill gain some levels on my way there and i''ll pay you! Rachel - wha¡ how much? Mitch - So you''re coming? Rachel - i cant stop you from going and it would be awful if we lost a hero, the waves would destroy us. How much? Mitch - 500 royals Rachel - I guess i can convince them to come if it''s for 500 between us since it''s the end if the month and most monsters have been hunted, ¡Ö160 royals per person is a good price. Ok its final! Mitch meant 500 per person but this was better so he kept quiet. After their gathering, 4 in the afternoon. John - So you want us to go to the last level! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG! Mitch - I just need you to escort me to the last level. Michael - If this is some sort of trap, i''ll make sure to cut you to pieces before you makes us a scratch. They headed back through the city gates with the guards watching them from behind. Guard 1 - Bunch¡¯a crazy kids, i tell ya! Guard 2 - i wonder what the hell they are doing, going back and forth. Mitch and his team reached the portal to the dungeons first floor. Mitch - Hold it, i wanna see if i can make a stronger robot to fight for us. A ethereal husk then rose from the smoke like mana leaving his body, he started changing it almost immediately. He kept the rocktree resing armor as it was light but changed its frame to something more solid, stronger, opting for steel that he had gotten from a screw found in his pocket from the old world, the conductors were the gold/cardill league and finally a battery made of the high level mana core.
Basic android unit 0/380 37 mana per hour (mph)
He filled it with 60 mana since he would need some to use his gun and he didn''t expect the robot he made to last an hour within this place, even with a steel frame. As they headed deeper into the level mitch told them he wanted to kill any monster they found, in around 20 minutes they were by the end of the first level, surprisingly the robot hadnt slowed them down, since it had shown to work faster and more smoothly than the first one he made, it was only slower than him while running. They entered the second level, but not a lot had changed, it was still looking like a regular forest, except some color differences in the vegetation and the platforms, but those already existed in the first level, he had made a mistake while looking at them the first time, as he thought they floated, however he later discovered that there were large pillars holding them, the levels were more like a dug out terrain with plants growing in its sometimes caved tunnels. This level gave them a slightly harder time as they progressed, having to face a few enemies that were eliminated with a swift shot from his ¡°hand cannon¡± he ended up killing 5 of them and raising 2 levels which he spent 8 points in wisdom, 15 on intelligence and the rest to strengthen his weak body
Level 5 (84%) Unspent points:0 Mana: 140/220 plus 38 per minute
Strength:7 Inteligence:38
Endurance:7 Wisdom:22
Agility:7 Dexterity:7
He felt more nimble and that his body responded better, he could feel there had been some large changes. That god had told him to spend all his points in intelligence and wisdom but he wanted to strengthen himself so he wasn''t slowed down in any aspect, he would however limit himself to raising every other stat to 10. They entered the 3rd floor and proceeded as usual with the robot on their trail They reached its end after around 30 minutes and 4 monsters putting mitch at level 6. The 4rth level took them longer as it was on this floor that the tangler tree grew, making them stop to catch their breath and drink some water while they waited for the sap to fill the pots they had placed in several trees around them. Michael - so you wanna tell us why you have to reach the bottom of the dungeon so soon? Mitch - don''t worry, you¡¯ll see! Chapter 6 The group packed everything back while Mitch filled the robot with more mana, surprisingly it had been holding on quite well, he had filled it with some mana on the 3rd level but he wanted it to go to its maximum on the next floor as the monsters in the 4rth and 6th tended to roam in groups which would stop him from one shoting them and moving on. John - that thing has been going pretty well so far, except for that slight hiccup on the third level it hasn''t stopped. Mitch - Thanks, i''ve made some improvements to it. I don''t know if it has enough strength to fight monsters yet though! Mitch would have taken enough sap out of the trees around him when he returned to fill the quota for the bike, he had asked Rick (god) how he absorbed materials for the clock store before, apparently all he had to do was place his phone over the materials he wanted. He would absorb the sap, without them noticing and tell them that it had disappeared either from someone taking them or a monster destroying it. They soon found themselves a group of monsters from the 4rth level, a group of 7, level 24 logger ants, their acidic spit and powerfull jaws could cut a tree in just a few seconds that they would carry to make their nest, or so Michael said. Mitch shot one, opening a hole in its head and sending the others in a frenzy, the group had already buffed themselves and took care of three others before he had time to fire another round killing the 5th ant. Mitch - fall back, i wanna try something! As the group jumped back and ran from the remaining two the robot ran past them as fast as it could before flinging itself onto one of them. It rammed its articulated hands with as much force as its ¡°engine¡± could produce against the ants body, it was able to crack its shell on the second try, too bad it got clamped by the ant right after. Its powerful jaws dug into its exterior shattering the milky plates of dried rocktree resin and bending part of its steel frame but it was still working as it continued to pummel it with both arms over the ants head until pieces of its brain splashed around. The robot fell to the ground unable to use its legs as the last ant grabbed its head and applied pressure causing it to seize moving. It got shot right after by mitch. He had succeeded on his first try it was able to make a fighting machine and as his menu showed he had been given the exp from its kill
Level 7(45%) Unspent points:10 Mana: 400/400 plus 40 per minute
Strength:7 Inteligence:40
Endurance:7 Wisdom:40
Agility:7 Dexterity:7
He placed 2 points in intelligence and 18 in wisdom as to round things out so he would get 1/10 of his mana back every minute and so he could summon robots with more energy. They hid the bodies to retrieve them later when they returned and kept going. They reached the end of the fourth level in another 20 minutes. As they entered the 5th level things started to change a little, the more normal forrest had started to disappear, in its place a more fantasy one rose, with incredibly tall trees that reached till the ceiling and glowing plants covering their path. Mitch - were running out of time so lets ignore the monsters on this floor! Michael - funny, normally we just hope we aren''t seen, but this time we were fighting on purpose. They ran through a poorly made path, the plants in their way had been cut by the noble¡¯s group on the first few days and widened by the people after, still, it was a rough terrain for one to run through. They ran through the trees as fast as they could but they were still spotted by this levels monsters. A few apes lined themselves in the nearest tree¡¯s branches and threw what they could find at them, their 4 goat like eyes focused on them. Mitch - are they gonna come after us? Rachel - they will stop once we leave their territory since they are at a really high disadvantage if they aren''t on top of a tree. As they ran mitch shot back, missing the group of monkeys but still scaring them with the streak of light that remained after the bullets path. They left the denser forest and kept going leaving the remaining monsters behind. Mitch - c''mon we still have a long way to go till the 10th level! They ran as fast as they could reaching the end of the fifth level after only 15 minutes of running like chickens. The sixth level Still had the fantasy style to it, only this time it was a slightly more tropical forest, with denser foliage and humid air. From the tree branches a lot of openings shone at regular intervals, lighting the path and allowing to look a little further. Strangely this place was never truly dark as the air emitted an extremely faint glow within the dungeon. This was the level that housed the boar he had seen a group of adventurers carrying. He couldn''t hear any monsters around as they ran so he just hoped none came after them at the moment. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. They had gone through almost the whole level when they finally were stopped by a monster, a brown panther with an even more elongated mouth and a ¡°fatter¡± head with large muscles pulling its jaw shut. Mitch shoved Rachel to the side pulling his revolver at the large cat¡¯s head His shot missed its mark, hitting it in the ribs near the right shoulder, snapping 3 ribs and hitting part of its lungs. It was already dead, the panther however still had some fight in it before going down for the count, it ran in a straight line towards the group of adventurers. As it did so, it was hit by a solid body. Mitch had made another robot, right after missing its shot, he made it fully covered in steel and sent it tackling the panther as soon as it could. It didn''t do any damage to the panther but it slowed it down just enough to be hit by the swinging axe of John to its left shoulder, knocking it to the ground, unable to support its body, leaving it open to the combined strike of Rachel''s arrow and Michael¡¯s spear to its neck. They stepped back and waited as the panther gave its last breaths before finally stopping. Mitch opened its screen and only stepped forward when he saw his level rise to 8 Mitch - Cool, we did it,and the skin is still good for us to complete a quest. They stripped it of its skin and rolled it before tying it to john¡¯s back. HIs phone rang leaving him staring at its screen as it vibrated, it didn''t expect ¡°rick the prick¡± to be calling him at a time like this, it wasn''t close to the days end nor did he reach the end of the dungeon yet. Mitch - (whispering) what? God/Rick - dude get the panthers skull! Mitch - what? God/Rick - just trust me absorb it with your phone! He questioned if God was trying to fuck with him or if he was truly serious. He opened the clock store and did as told.
Decorative piece added.
Mitch - Really?! God - what? It looks cool! Mitch - is that all? God - yup! Mitch almost threw his phone but decided to act a little more maturely, after all, it did look cool with a panther skull on the front. They entered the 7th floor still running, these final three floor were going to be the most troublesome as they were never easy tasks for small groups, much more for one with a level 8 person as one of its members. They slowed down and tried to go as quietly as possible through these last levels as not to call too many monsters. Rachel - 7th floor! There are a lot more of those kitties here. Mitch - well let''s hope we don''t meet another one! Mitch left behind his robot for this level since it made too much noise and its completely steel exterior gave it too much weight. They took a lot longer to traverse this level, having taken them almost 45 minutes since they didn''t want to be spotted. As they entered the 8th floor things started to change drastically, this level was filled with small ruins and pieces of what appeared to be temples, altars, shops, kitchens and occasionally workstations that had been stripped of their tools. Mitch - Rachel, what is this place? Rachel - the ruins. Mitch - of what? Rachel - just ruins. Mitch - this looks like an entire city though? Don''t you ask yourself where all this came from? Rachel - It has no reason to be, its just how it has always been! They continued their walk through the ruins from which the forest still grew covering the stone walls completely in many places. He used his ¡°free time¡± to give a better look what the adventurers equipment. Rachel wore pants and a short sleeved shirt under her leather ¡°protections¡± which consisted of a tight jacket made with braided leather strips, with double layers on the elbows and shoulders and 2 small cuts that left her armpits and underarms exposed to the air. John wore a padded vest and metal plates that covered his forearms and legs. And finally Michael the brown haired asshole that acted like he was a great man, he wore the most armor of them all with a padded vest covered in armor pieces, his wrists and forearms were covered by a complex set of thick interlocking sheets of bronze, a metal plate covering his chest and back and a belt with a variety of weapons attached to it. Mitch - what does this floor have? Cobras, Rats,(chefs,) Bats! What are we dealing with here? John - the ninth floor has anacondas, this one has eagles. Whenever they spotted one they stopped and bid in the ruins. He could see them flying over the group, there were just a few of them but their bodies were quite intimidating being the size of a wolf. They walked under the ruins for a good half hour before something else happened. He saw an eagle perched on a collapsed roof, standing still. He had wanted to test his improved body for a while and what better chance than aiming at a far away target. There were around 40 meters between him and the eagle at that point. Mitch - Guys, i''m gonna try to kill one of the eagles! If i fail this shot we just book it! Adventurers - what?! Mitch raised his gun to eye level centering its aim upon the eagles chest. He had never felt the guns trigger be so heavy before, as he slowly pulled it back. He fired but nothing seemed to happen, the eagle stood on the roof, as mitch started, luckily it didn''t even look like the eagle had noticed someone had shot at it so mitch turned to the group. Mitch - let''s just go. Rachel - that was a great shot. Michael - if i had that artifact i could do better. Mitch - uhh? He turned around and noticed the blood that dripped down the roof tiles and the eagles fallen body. His shot had hit it from the side piercing its lungs and exploding its heart the eagle which had been instantly killed was almost perfectly balanced taking it several seconds for the body to fall. It took them several seconds to get back on track as mitch kept celebrating his shot a little too much. They soon reached the 9th level. A labyrinth of square/ rectangular boulders raised in front of them, some were stacked, others made stairs, some acted as walls and some had been dug rectangular tunnels through giving some the look of houses or tunnels. This was one of the most illuminated levels, they climbed as high as they could since the monsters in this level kept themselves on its most bottom part they ran through the stone blocks and reached this levels end in only 10 minutes. Mitch - well this was fast. Michael - this level is considered one of the easiest on the dungeon unless you try to face its monsters, but its not like they are difficult for a good fighter. Michael had said that last part mostly to show off. They entered level 10. It was a true labyrinth with twisting corridors and stairways heading up and down. Mitch - what''s up with the stairs? Rachel - It''s a three story labyrinth. Mitch - and how are we gonna reach its center? John - there¡¯s an artifact called the fighters compass that could work, but since none of us wants to throw away money we don''t have it. Just follow the left wall and we will reach it eventually. They spent an hour and a half going up and own stair before they reached their goal. An empty stone room made of granite, there was only blood splatters across its floor and a rune covered back wall with a giant crack going down it, which looked to be caused by the marble stuck halfway through it. Mitch slowly walked towards it, it seemed to resonate back and forth like a beating heart. The suspense was broken as he placed his hand upon it.

Call of a hero
Material absorbed
He smiled at his 3 new gifts Chapter 7 - betcha didnt expect this Rachel - finally finished! Michael - let''s get the fuck out now, teleport to the 5th floor get the sap and get paid. They were enveloped by a glowing dust and melted away leaving mitch behind. Mitch - it should be something natural. Right? He focused on the image of the 5th floor and felt a breeze run across his skin. He looked down as his body ¡°evaporated¡± piece by piece. The group was back on the 5th floor, they had already collected part of the sap by the time he had returned. Michael - how are you gonna take this? They held onto the curved pieces of bark that served as bowls holding the pinkish sap. Mitch - just¡ put it in this bottle. Mitch extended his thermic bottle for them to fill. Mitch - im gonna search around while you do that, make sure there isn''t anything lurking around. Mitch wanted to call Rick, as he remembered ¡°he¡± had something to give him something. He walked into the trees, disappearing between the plants as to not be spotted by the group. *Brrrr*...*brrrr*...*brrrr* Rick - umpf¡ So you made it in time. Mitch¡¯s face twitched as Rick''s tone of voice sounded odd, he sounded worried and flustered. Mitch - Rick, you sound, disappointed?. Were you fucking with me, expecting for me to fail?! Rick - i wish, its something worse! I don''t know how to tell you this but i guess you will accept it calmly either way! Mitch - what??? Rick - mitch, you¡ you''re not real! You exist, mitch existes! But¡ you''re not him, you''re his other half. Mitch - i dont follow. Rick - i know you know about people from your world supposedly having 2 ¡°people¡± within them, that each hemisphere as its own personality and that one is passive, its what serves as ¡°autopilot¡±. You are the ¡°autopilot¡±, the heroes are yet to be summoned, that includes the ¡°real¡± you. Mitch - so what? Why am i here then? Rick - i brought you here to help ¡°you¡±. Each hero has a different skill something that sets them apart, that is given by the gods. Only the heroes have the possibility of becoming Gods but they are normally stopped by their patrons, the gods are afraid of change, they fear their own demise, so they use your worlds to fend off dangers, putting them in the line of fire. I know its hard but you''re going to disappear once you get summoned but before that happens, i can use the fact that you will be gone to help everyone. The real heroes are constantly being watched by the gods as to check their progress and if another god interferes or tries something dangerous to others. You however are off the fucking grid and cant be spotted Mitch - i¡, so im not the real one! guess all that time i spent wondering what i would do if i was a clone will come in handy. Soooo... what do i have to do, and whats your purpose. Rick -the powers i have been giving you can be kept and weaponised for later, all that you have gained can be used by the real you. And for the reason why im doing this is because i think i found a way to save everyone, or at the very least stop more worlds from being destroyed. but they wont accept it if i don''t have more people to back me up. i need more power! i need a God that came from that world! not only to prove it to them but as a necessary element for my plan. Mitch - ok, i''ll help. How are you gonna do this? I''ll join back into my body, i''ll be separated from me in another body and help from the back? This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. Rick - a living thing with your powers could only be God-made so none of the above. I''m going to turn you into a relic/artifact and find a way to give you to ¡°you¡±, Gods can''t interfere in the system of the dungeons since its a God like existence in itself, we will make it look like you were a VERY lucky drop from the dungeon¡¯s monsters. Mitch - you know what''s more surprising to all of this. I''m not feeling weirded out by any of this. Rick - that''s normal, you are the passive one, you just go along with what you are told. Mitch hung up and walked back to the group, they had been chatting between each other, talking about their kills and how they participated. Soon Mitch would leave them behind, never to be seen by any of them again. It surprisingly didn''t hurt, it didn''t sadden him, he didn''t feel grief just a sense of annoyance from them soon being gone. Mitch - You guys ready? Michael - were ready to get payed! Rachel - michael! Don''t be rude. Mitch went through his money and gave them 600 royals. Mitch - here! a little extra for your troubles. Mitch handed Rachel the money and walked back. She stared at the money for a second before being snatched away by Michael. He didn''t give any importance to it and grabbed the bottle before going back to level 1 and heading out. It was already a few hours into the night, the cold air crawled under his clothes and made his breaths turn white, there was almost no visibility in the path back but he managed to guide himself with the light of the moon shining through the branches. He could see the town wall with its little torches in the distance. There was only 2 guards at the gate but more on its walls, they quickly let him through into the city. Most places had stopped and the inner gates between districts had been closed with only a single guard taking care of a small side door in case someone needed to go through. The only inner gates that were not closed were the housing district and the church district with the guild being the only thing opened in there. He entered the guild with his head down, the reception counters had been closed with wooden panels and the only one left taking care of its entrance was a short burly man in his 30. Burly dood - you have a room rented or you wanna be beaten out of here? Mitch searched his pocket for the key and raised it for the man to see, after opening a book for the room and checking if it had been rented he nodded back Burly dood - alright. You can go upstairs. He pressed forward past the brown bearded guy sitting by the stairs. This was the last time he would walk up these wooden stairs since he had the feeling that night would be his last there, otherwise Rick wouldn''t have made the deadline so soon for the dungeon conquering. He entered his room and waited for the inevitable call that would soon occur. *Brrrrr* *brrrr* Mitch - is it time for me to go? Rick - jeez, nice hello! No, it isn''t yet, you have till midnight but i need your help meanwhile for this to work. Mitch - what do i have to do? Rick - im gonna give you a project that you need to build, the materials used don''t matter except for its core. You need to make it all and then transfer your consciousness into it.
Mana powered hydraulic armor (soul vessel module): shoulder and arm
Mitch sat by the corner of the bed processing the new information obtained until he could form a more clear image of what Rick wanted. He started by making its core: a round marble about the size of the tip of his pinky, it was made of the same materials that were used as the dungeon¡¯s core, it was quickly covered by a round metal cage that branched into a series of wires made of the mana conductor connecting to the frame that started to resemble a hand, forming right after a series of crystals and tubes that started to drip in an oil similar to the tanglers tree resin. He kept adding layer after layer to the mechanism until the inside couldn''t be seen anymore, at which point he covered it in armor. Steel plates shaped like the arm itself, with a thin layer of resins from both trees, forming a rubbery material that served as a shock absorber underneath. He admired his new creation for it apparently would be his last. It was a simple design that had slightly disappointed him, he expected a great looking piece to be made but it was just smooth plating even more simple than that of the first armors made in europe, so he decided to change it up a bit. He thickened the finger knuckles, the back of the forearm and the outer side of its upper arm to twice the thickness; he then made a mesh pattern over it all. Mitch - i made it. Now what? Rick - equip it, put your arm inside it until you feel the tiny dungeon core inside and then ill do the rest. The armor was cold but time was important and he couldn''t waste it, jamming his arm inside it until his bare fingers reached the glove, he could feel something touching his palm. Mitch - done. Im ready. He felt anxiety for the first time since he had gotten there, his heart was racing but his mind kept quite calm. Mitch - hey Rick! Rick - uhh, what? Mitch - Dying. Will it hurt? Rick - what do you mean? This isn''t the end! Mitch - really? He could hear the happy tone of voice on the phone, he felt like he could hear Rick smirk from the other¡ whatever side he was in. Rick - pfft, this isn''t the end for you. It''s just the beginning! Chapter 8- late as hell It was midnight and a group of clergymen roamed within a room grabbing materials, making inscriptions and making chants. They worked through the night preparing the ritual with only torches and a mana lamp that hung from the ceiling illuminating the stone room. They all stopped and gathered in 2 rows ready to use their work, the room lit up with the mana flowing across it, both from the group of men and the charged mana stones. The rooms environment kept changing turning ,hot, cold, becoming windy, the floor shaking and even causing occasional electrical sparks jumping across the floor or the circuit. Bubbles started appearing within the circle taking form and slowly settling until their glow disappeared leaving behind 4 naked bodies. 2 male ones and 2 females, these however varied from the figures of the priest that had them summoned, as all 4 were either near the same size or taller. One had red hair like a fox, combed into a pulled back crew cut, and his body in good shape. He was the first to react of the group, looking around into the crowd. Red - the fuck happened? Where am i?! With his screams he caused one of the girls to wake up. Her brown wavy hair covered the left side of her face as she looked up, she tried covering her body before shaking awake the girl to her side. The smallest of the group, with a straight light brown almost blonde hair, turned into a braid that fell almost to the middle of her back. The last one to get up was the black haired guy, he rose from the ground with a sleepy face and making no effort whatsoever to cover his naked body until he looked around and saw the two girls. Priest - we have summoned you so that you can protect this world from the oncoming chaos,... Uh, you''re supposed to be 3, did¡ something happen? Everyone - ahhh, don''t know. Red - hold on i was sent by the god of nature, what about you three? Brown - god of war and death. Light brown - god of value and work. Black - yeah, about that¡ i dont know whats going on exactly, i assume otherworld, transported etc, but i have no idea about any Gods. They stared him down, his freckled face and black curly hair that casted a shadow over sleep deprived look gave him an ominous appearance. The starring soon stopped however due to the priest handing them clothes to the first 3 and a large robe to the black haired kid. Priest - normally its 3 apostles that come however we are in a bit of trouble with this extra, you should not exist! Black - what?! How do you know i''m the extra person! The head priest raised his brow to that. Priest - well, we can test it. All of you, if you focus you will feel the energy and spirit of your weapons, call them forth and you''re a god blessed hero, fail and we know you lied. The group turned towards the priest and each tried calling their weapons. The brown haired girl was first, calling an halberd from thin air, its shiny blades were accentuated by the red/brown cable and leather grips. Priest - good. He walked into the next one, the light brown haired girl. She extended her arms taking a bit longer to call forth hers,a pair of long daggers, almost as long as her forearms that connected to each other with a long chain that seemed to grow and shrink as she pulled them apart. Priest - you¡¯re next, if you''re not a hero you''ll have to answer a lot. He pointed at the black haired kid with his fat finger. He slowly stood straight looking back at the fat priest. Black - i dont lie old man! His smirk was soon replaced with a serious face as he focused, and before he knew it his left arm increased in weight making him almost fall to the side. There was a thick gauntlet on his arm, a mechanical armor that covered from his hand to his elbow and held tight onto his upper arm with 2 rounded plates positioned in the front and back of his bicep. Black - Told ya i wasn''t the extra. Priest - it seems so, redhead now you! The red haired kid raised his arms into the sky, pulling a metallic crossbow with a wooden stock. You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. Red - So, we are all heroes?! Priest - i guess so. The head priest placed his hand on his chin and scratched his short beard. Priest - This is a first, i guess we''ll just roll with it, let''s go! He turned to the crowd of priest and they split opening a path towards the door. The group reconciled and followed him, with the rest of the priests forming lines behind them, all with their heads lowered in respect for the new heroes that arrived. Red- (whispering) hey, what''s your name? Black - Mitch (duh), and you? Red - Daniel, so you don''t remember being with your god? Mitch - no idea who he even is or if he tried to talk to me, i''m just here. Brown - what are you two talking about? Daniel - we were just saying our names, im Daniel, he¡¯s Mitch, and you are? Brown - im Sofia. Mitch - what about her, Sofia was it? Call her over. She stepped to the side and placed her hand on the shoulder of the one that had yet to present herself. Sofia whispered something onto her and she walked closer. Sofia - this is Daniel, he¡¯s¡ Mitch - really! My name is Mitch. Light brown - im Ana Woodhead, first in succession of the woodhead family. The group understood she was of nobility by that sentence alone. Priest - were here, you will be meeting the king and after that you will be presented to the nobles, show respect, and i don''t tell you this as an order but as advice, even if they are god sent, cocky heroes don''t tend to last long. They went up a stairwell and through a door into a small room, there the king sat on a wooden chair while a group of men discussed with im over politics. King - so these are the heroes. Priest - yes my lord, and this time we have been blessed with four of them. The king who was raising himself from the chair stopped halfway to look up, counting the kids before him. King - are they all really heroes? Priest - yes we have confirmed their identities. King - then begin the preparations! I know this may be sudden but we have a lot to do so you lot must follow along, you''ll need to get the nobles to open their purses if you want to get some money for equipment and other goods. Ana - you¡¯re the king, don''t you have money from taxes?! Why do we have to go around asking for it like bums?! King - we will still support you but most of our finances we¡¯ll be spent on preparing our own troops and other basic functions, and high quality gear is sometimes expensive enough to cost as much as equipment for thousands of soldiers. And with that they were escorted out the room, once out they were guided into separate rooms where they would spend the night before continuing. It was a large room about 3 by 4 meters, with a king sized bed, with two large pillows atop the large white cover and grey sheets. Mitch was about to get in and lay down but he had to know something beforehand. Mitch - hey, sir priest? Priest - oh, what is it child? Mitch - how do i get rid of this? Mitch had raised his hand showing the priest the mechanical arm, with almost twice as thick as his other one. Priest - Just think about it disappearing and it will go away. Oh, and kid? Mitch- yes? Priest - sorry about you earlier when i called you a fake. And with that Mitch closed the door to his room. The room was only illuminated by 3 candles but it was enough for one to see. He sat by the side of his bed and tried to make the fist disappear. ??? - you¡¯re not getting rid of me that easily! Mitch jumped from his sitting position the moment he heard someone talk Mitch - who the fuck is this. ??? - i''m the glove! Mitch - uhh?! Mitch looked down to his fist and there was a small stone with two rounded rough plates opening and closing almost like an eyelid. ??? - i''m just speaking in your head so you can just use your inner voice, don''t speak out loud or you will end up sounding like a lunatic. Mitch - what are you? ??? - equipment. Mitch - i mean like, who are you, what''s your name and why are you here? ??? - i was part of you, i don''t have a name and i''m here to help you. Mitch - you make a lot of sound but you didn''t actually say anything, and you don''t have a name huunn ??? - thats all i know so... and if really want you can name me.

Mitch- alright, alright...living armor, nothing really comes to mind, i guess your kind of a sidekick so why not walter, i guess that''s not really a good name, you''re a glove¡ ??? - i''m only a ¡°glove¡± due to being weak once i progress i will become stronger and be able to become a full armor set or even more. Mitch - you''ll be constantly shifting so why not morpho?
Name has been registered
Mitch - seems to work. Morpho - then i guess we''re done for now. And with that the ¡°eye¡± closed but the arm was still the same. Mitch - really! Your gonna leave me with this giant thing! Morpho - just kidding. The arm shrunk and realigned into a somewhat large ¡°bracelet¡± as wide as a thumbs length and the same ¡°eye¡± atop. After a good night''s rest the heroes were called out in basic clothes to follow the head priest again with their preparations. They were guided out of the castle in a simple carriage, taking them into the city around, it extended as far as they could see, with walls hundreds of meters apart from them. They soon stopped, getting out on the same district as the one the castle and buildings owned by royalty was on, this was the rich district with only with the fanciest shops and buildings, the one they entered had large windows that exposed the wooden interior, filled with rolls of fabric and other boxes. The only people inside were a man on the heavier side and his slightly chubby wife, with them both putting on a large smile the moment the five entered the building. Chubby wife - oh my, how may we he help. Priest - we need clothes, lots of clothes! Chapter 9 setting up the basics The priest stepped to the side letting them in, standing by the door as they entered. Priest - these 4 will be having a reunion with the king and they will need fitting clothes for the occasion, they will need to be finished by tonight. Owner - of course, but with such a tight schedule it will cost you more. Priest - there''s no problem! Each one stood forward as the owner and his wife took their measures. Daniel - (whispering) what''s that thing on you wrist? Mitch - this is my weapon, i didn''t unsummon it completely just in case something happened. Hopefully Daniel would fall for a bluff like that, instead of him sounding like an incompetent that couldn''t even summon and unsummon his weapon like the rest of em. Daniel - isn''t that thing kinda heavy? Mitch - not really it is actually quite light like this. Owners wife - could you step forward now please? Mitch - sure. They walked around him measuring his gut, his legs and every other body part that would define what they needed to cut. Owner - could you take out that bracelet? Mitch - unfortunately no, and i would like to talk with you about it later for a small modification Owner - you¡¯re all quite tall, are you all family? Priest - if you wouldn''t min¡(being interrupted) Ana - excuse me, you¡¯re being nosey, you shouldn''t ask questions! Both owner - we are very sorry it was not our intentions to anger you. They quickly finished taking measures without a sound. They showed them a variety of materials from which they would make their clothes, they ultimately chose to make clothes of the same style and color for all of them, the girls would be wearing a long dress and a jacket, with the first one being beige and the later one in light brown, and both guys would be wearing suits colored in a dark brown for the jacket and pants, and a white shirt that would be underneath. As the priest talked with the owner for the final details, Mitch walked closer to the owners wife. Mitch - ma''am would you do me one last favor? Owners wife - yes? What is it Mitch - could you make sure the left sleeve has buttons running across it, because i can''t take this bracelet off you see. Owners wife- of course don''t worry. She gave him a warm smile and they left the shop as the couple inside pulled out the materials to start their work. Ines - what are we doing now? Because this is getting really boring. When do we start being heroes and fighting and what not? Priest - most aren''t that excited about that, prospect of it. But to you answer, its soon , in around 2 days you will be sent to train and become more powerful, you will mostly stay divided while fighting the waves so don''t become dependant on one another. They walked down the street into a shoe shop to end their shopping needs, the workers inside had premade shoes that could be adjusted for whatever size they needed before giving the final stitches. The soles were made from a thick rubber and the shoes were of almost pitch black leather. They finished shopping before noon being taken back to the castle. Ines - so, what are we doing now? We¡¯re only supposed to meet the ¡°nobles¡± by tomorrow. Priest - we will start combat preparations and training until the night but first lunch. As they walked into the banquet room mitch remembered the breakfast they had eaten earlier that day. A light soup and just baked bread still hot and soft, mitch had thought it to be a bit odd so he had asked if there was milk, to which the maids asked if he was sick, apparently no one drank milk aA case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. unless he was heavily sick or recovering from injuries. Too bad since mitch actually hated soup, but after a bit he tried it, and it turned out not to be so bad, it was a thick soup with pieces of soft meat floating and a slightly spicy taste to it that he couldn''t quite explain. And now for dinner they were having a plate filled with long pale blue carrot/beet looking things boiled and sliced and a well done steak covered in sauce. Daniel - is there something without meat? Mitch - wait you''re vegetarian? Daniel - well, yeah i think you are the odd ones eating meat. Mitch - i don''t wanna be that guy but, you do realise the soup you ate this morning had meat in it, right? At that sentence Daniel turned white as paper, he was freaking out at what he had just heard. Daniel - you think eating meat is a joke to me, it is a heavy sin from where i come from. Ines - wait don''t tell me you didn''t know. A toothy smile appeared on her face as she held herself from saying anything else. Ana - oh lord, how did you not know you were eating meat?! Daniel - i didn''t know there was meat in there how was i supposed to know i thought it was just a bunch of vegetables. After a lot of absolute silence and some plate switching they ate their meals (with a more vegetarian option) and were taken into a library like room. Priest - i''ll leave you here with your ¡°teachers¡±, good luck~¡ï. Mitch - that sounded really death flag like! You''re not setting us up are you?! Priest - bye! Ines - you motherfucker! The priest slammed the door shut Further down the room stood two people, a woman that appeared to be on her thirties wearing a large necklace and a long robe that hid the rest of her outfit and by her side sitting atop the table an older man almost on his forties with a moustache and well armored, glanced at them before tapping the shoulder of the first one. Warrior dood - psst, hey get up, they''re here. They walked towards the heroes in wide steps, as the floorboards creaked under the weight of the heavily armored man. Warrior dood - hello im Nigel and i was requested to be your instructor in combat. ¡ Warrior dood - come on Carol say something! Carol - (with a very raspy voice) sorry kids i''m going to be your magic instructor but i have a bit of a sore throat at the moment. These people were complete opposites as Nigel had a goofy smile plastered across his face and Carol the face of someone who suffered from chronic depression. Heroes - nice to meet you. Carol - (yawn), lets get this started, first we¡¯ll get you examined for what your job is and what you may be good at, you come here so i can appraise you! She had pointed towards Ana that had been standing slightly aside from everyone else as usual. Carol placed Ana¡¯s hand between both of hers. Carol - accountant and a mixed aptitude. Mitch - ?accountant? Shes gonna calculate her enemies to death?! Carol - in combat it''s quite good, calculating every move not to waste extra energy. Ana -humpf, don''t underestimate me, Ditch! Mitch- its Mitch! Coral - alright, calm down, there will be plenty of fighting, no need to start now. Hey red head you''re next. Daniel - alright. Coral - simbiotist, pretty good magic affinity too, you''ll be quite helpful, not that fighters won''t give their fair share of support. Hey, mitch was it, come! He raised his left hand only to have his ¡°glove¡± yell onto his mind at the last moment. Morpho - use the other arm, dont make her appraise me! Mitch lowered his hand and used his right instead. Coral - ok, lets see. Huum? You have a status modifying ability or something, because your stat screen makes no sense, could you try opening it yourself? Mitch - i don''t know how you do it? Nigel - just focus on it and it should open.

Mitch - Done it, what now. Coral - Can you tell me what you see? Mitch quickly repeated his stat screen out loud before being interrupted by her. Coral - so it even shows up like that to you, must be a skill given by your god. Let me check¡ yup, here it is pathmaker , those unspent points are from your stats, apparently you decide where they go, you can choose to take any path or have any affinity. Mitch - hey Ana, suck it! Ana turned away from him and whispered. Ana - filthy peasants. Morpho - pss, hey cunt focus. Mitch stepped back and tried talking to his glove while In¨ºs took her shot at being appraised. Mitch - what? Morpho - spend all your points in intelligence no holding back. Mitch - why? Morpho - JUST ...FAKIN ¡DO IT! Mitch - alright! Fine i''ll do it. Coral - and finnaly, a punisher, and of course almost all of your affinity would go strength, you have a pretty good dexterity too. Nigel - so now that we set out the basics, who is ready for some combat! Chapter 10- their hardest encounter Mitch - Hold up, you didn''t tell me what my job did, nor Daniel¡¯s and Ana¡¯s job! Aren''t we gonna be told about ours? Daniel - i already know about mine. Ana - me too. Carol - as far as i knew your God normally tells you almost everything about one''s abilities. Mitch - my god was a bitch, didnt tell me about anything, he didnt even present himself to me. Carol - Very well then, here!

Carol - There, now you can continue onto the training, i think you''ll be of great help. Mitch - thanks. They walked back out through the rough stone stairs into an open yard with a tall fence and a bunch of nets nailed to it so that nothing could be thrown out, on the other end of the sandy field there had been placed a bunch of logs in half a meter deep holes (foot and a half). Nigel - We are gonna start by understanding what your weapons are capable of and the best way to use them. So, bring them out for me to see! Ana was the first to do so calling her halberd forth. Nigel - good, an halberd, that''s something i can easily work with. So what''s its special function? Ana - it can go through a ¡°block¡±, anything a person uses to try and stop it, but only once every few minutes. Mitch looked onto his bracelet, it hadnt mentioned anything regarding a special ability of his own. Morpho - i have one but you can''t use it at the moment cuz you are too weak. Mitch - hold it, you can read my mind? Morpho - im part of you now, i know everything about you. Also yes you kinda can use it right now but it''s going to be a bitch to use! Mitch - well that saves me a question, lets do it. Morpho - i warned you. Nigel - so, next then, you with the red hair. Daniel - my name''s Daniel. Nigel - ok Daniel could you *thud*... The origin of the sound that had stopped the instructor came from the passed out Mitch that had fallen on the gravel and sand face first. Nigel - Call Carol quick this idiot just overspent his mana! Daniel ran inside while Nigel grabbed him by the arms and legs onto the building with the girls following behind. Daniel - Carol, Carol, Carol¡ Carol - Mitch passed out he overspent his mana! Carol ran downstairs almost completely jumping over several flights of them on her way. Carol - how bad is it? Nigel - he''s completely spent.A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Carol shoved her hands under his shirt right over his heart and started feeling around for beatings. Carol - *phew*, he''s ok just needs some mana. She took his arm and slowly sent flows of mana through his veins and nerves but no matter how much she seemed to try he didn''t seem to react, what hadn''t noticed was that there was indeed a reaction however it was not so visible. The bracelet by his side had grown a slight lump by both sides of the ¡°eye¡± as they stopped growing mitch seemed to show some signs of improvement. Mitch - ow! Carol - the fuck were you doing to spend all your mana this badly. Mitch - i don''t remember. Nigel - whatever just don''t do it again, you could have died. Carol - actually he couldn''t but that''s besides the point here, don''t you ever pull one of those again. The glare of hate coming from both sides was quite disturbing to the still dazed Mitch. Mitch - Hold on, could i have died or no? Nigel- yes/ Carol - well, no! Nigel - if you overspend your mana your heart will stop beating and you''ll die! Carol - that''s what happens in most cases but the heroes are a bit different their bodies are not the same as ours, they won''t actually stop due to mana loss but they will still suffer the overspending crash on their bodies, and if you pass out in the middle of battle it will be really bad! Mitch - sorry, i promise it won''t happen again. The group went back to the trabalhar ning field, while they all kept an eye on Mitch since he seemed to keep getting hurt or causing trouble. Nigel - hey Mitch was it, call your weapon again but this time don''t screw things up by trying to use your special ability. Mitch - ok Morpho - you can use it already it won''t happen again. Mitch - (breathes in) Alright let''s do this then! Mitch pulled his arm up just as it was turning into a glove, making him feel the extra weight now on it. Nigel - and that is? Mitch - a mechanical arm! Serves as armor and weapon also it can do THIS! The group stared at him as his extended arm did nothing for a little while. Mitch - now, you were supposed to do it now! Morpho - i''m working on it, ...aaaand done. An ethereal figure rose a bit away from mitch as it slowly materialised itself into a metal figure with six tiny holes in the place of its eyes and a body covered in segmented plates, its exterior glinting with the afternoon sun. Nigel - what the hell is that? Mitch - its a ¡ Morpho - combat robot. Mitch - combat robot. Nigel - well what can it do? Morpho - touch it and i''ll do the rest! Mitch - Ill show you. Mitch brought his arm to the robots torso and felt something move inside the glove as a light glimmer appeared from behind its mask. Mitch/Morpho - and now it will do whatever i need it to make, running, carrying things, fighting¡ Nigel - How strong is it? Because that''s what matters the most here, if it can''t handle its own, it won''t do much good. Morpho sniggered at the instructor inside mitch''s mind as he sent the robot running to grab a log, it bent down and with a swift move pulled the 2,5 meters long log (8 feet) over its shoulder before raising it over its head with both arms and stopping in place. Morpho - it ran out of mana be smooth and get near it to refuel without them noticing. Mitch walked towards the robot still hoisting the log in place. Mitch - What do you think of this guy! Bet you haven''t seen much better than this! *Pat* *pat* Nigel - Its good for a starting ability, does it scale with your strength? Morpho - no, but it can spend more power to compensate, but only as much as the parts can hold. Mitch - hhha¡ kinda? Nigel - Anyway, next Daniel was it? Your turn, show me what you have. Daniel - lets go. A puff of energy and the metal crossbow had been formed. Nigel - long range not perfect with only brute force but i already heard her say you have a good magical affinity if you can combine it with the bolt you''ll have great weapon; And whats the ability? Daniel - it can store projectiles in a subspace and as a loading mechanism that works with mana to reload. Nigel - thats a great weapon, you''ll have a great future as a hero! and finally, what is your name? In¨ºs - In¨ºs Woodhead and unlike the rest im from a noble house. Nigel - i don''t care about that. Just call your weapon forth. In¨ºs - excuse me, but i believe i deserve some more respect than these scum. Daniel -*cough*bitch*cough*! Ana - same! Mitch - ditto! Daniel/Ana - hummm? Mitch - nevermind. She called the final weapon yet to show, the two daggers and chain. In¨ºs - i can imprison anything i stab by sticking the other dagger somewhere else causing chains to wrap around what i stabbed. Nigel - good, but wont you be disarmed meanwhile? In¨ºs - i can summon a third one meanwhile. She dropped both daggers to the ground pulling another one out of thin air as to demonstrate her statement. Nigel - you all have different weapons and as such you will need different training for your weapons, and you will only be able to get such training through fighting on your own. Each of you will go train and become stronger with a select group but first you¡¯ ll need gear. Carol walked into the training field holding four tanned leather boxes while Nigel uncovered a set of wooden ones by the back of the field. Carol - inside each box is a set of gear, basic tools and other necessities that you will be given by the kingdom to help you fend for yourselves and in the ones im carrying is a set of tomes and basic relics to further that even more. The boxes were opened revealing a set of armor and some tools for process of venturing down a dungeon, however they couldn''t give them a good look as they were closed back as soon as she placed the other package inside them. Nigel - these will be taken with you to the place where you will be dispatched to. That concluded their presentations and they were taken back inside to prepare for the upcoming encounter with possibly one of the hardest foe to face from the start of their adventure: Nobles! Chapter 11- political shit The clothes had been finished and delivered to each of them. Mitch unbuckled his pants and removed his large robe, the new suit didn''t have the wide sleeves of the robe but he was still able to put it on as he had previously asked for a little modification. The whole underside of the left sleeve hadn''t been stitched close instead a line of buttons had been sown from the end of the wrist to the armpit. Mitch was putting on his pants just as a young maid walked. Maid- hello im here to hel.. yeeee. She gave a loud shriek before turning around and walking towards the door. Maid - im incredibly sorry i didn''t mean to disrespect you hero, i was told to help you with your preparations for the upcoming event, im incredibly sorry with what has occurred. She almost whispered those words and stared at the ground gripping her hands together all the while remaining turned away from him Mitch - its okay, accidents happen. By the way why would i need help getting dressed? Maid - the heroes are considered high class people and are to be helped at all times and apparently not all know of our worlds customs being that beliefs, culture or even dressing codes, so we are to help them through it all. Her voice had turned back to normal as she spoke showing that she had started to calm down already. Mitch - don''t worry i know how to dress myself, i''m not *that* clueless. mitch walked towards the maid all the while buttoning his left sleeve and rolling it up to the bracelet. He noticed something odd about the maid as she slightly turned to the side. Mitch - Wait, are those elf ears? mitch danced and jumped inside his mind celebrating the new discovery while keeping a straight face on the outside, or as good a straight face he could keep at such a moment. Maid - My ears? Oh, that! I''m the granddaughter of a superbia. Mitch - A what now? The maids face seemed to be filled with joy at his question. Maid - the superbia is one of the demon race, we boast longevity and great combat arts. Mitch - apparently they''re also full of themselves, no offence but you really sound strange ease up with the self boasting. Maid - sorry i guess it slipped, but yeah superbia are called the pride demons. Mitch - wait you''re not an elf? Maid - A what now? Mitch - nevermind. You said pride demons what other demons are there? Maid - well it depends, there are a lot of demons, it''s a broad classification for the intelligent races that surge from the flood, not all can be reasoned with as well as others but some will decide to form peaceful bonds sometimes, anyway you should get going it''s not a good idea to keep the noble families waiting. She guided him through the castle grounds into the main building by the front of the gates, it was the same building they had met the king in and the one they had been summoned on. It was a double story building with the first level serving as the baal room and the second as the throne room and other royal affairs and of course the basement with the dank room where they had been summoned in.This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. He was lead through the back where a small door seemed to have been carved into the stone exterior, it took him into a small room by the side of the stairs leading upwards into a balcony overlooking the party. Mitch - hey priest! So, what''s going to happen now? Priest - first of all, im not a priest although i do see why you would think so since a never presented myself and second we are going to take you to be presented before the nobles but we have to wait for the others first. He sat on a chair while listening to the commotion outside as the ¡°guests¡± entered and started chatting. Mitch - so, we are going to need financial backup from them! I wonder if they are trustworthy or if they even have good intentions? Priest - it depends on their beliefs and on yours, each family has different intentions. Mitch - can you give me some examples? Priest - some believe in human superiority others think we could all live together, some have different points of view on demihumans and their status, there is also disputes on the ownership of dungeons and of course their management, it''s a lot to consider! Mitch - And what do you think? Priest - i would like for peace to be had, but i do understand people''s distrust of certain races and it doesn''t help that some Gods outright hate them as well. The other heroes started arriving coming each at a time as they had finished their preparations. They walked up the stairs by the side without being noticed by the party to the side. King - come stand by my side! The whispered order pulled them out from the shadows and into view. King - as you know you have been gathered here to discuss about the future of our country as the flood is soon approaching! And with that in mind we have summoned forth the heroes to help us, and we have been thankfully granted one more hero this time so that we may prosper! The kings voice resonated within the room as a hundred faces admired the four kids by his side. They were taken back to the lower part with the king and made to communicate with the crowd, each forming a circle of people to gather around him as they went. Each hero picked a direction to go in as the crowd couldn''t wait to chat with them. Noble 1 - hello, so you are one of the ones that will fight, uhh, my family has always been one to fight for justice, tell me, would like to visit one day? Noble 2 - fuck off Mark your family is barely known! Me however, im from a family of barons¡ Mitch''s mind felt dazed at the conversation going back and forth through these two nobles. Mitch chose to look around instead and ignore these two, noticing the gaze of a group of women further back. Mitch - hey, sup girls ( awkward smile). Grill 1 - well, hello! So you are the hero that has come to save us? Quite a handsome fellow aren''t you? Mitch''s smile vanished into a more serious face as he looked at the group before him, neither himself or nobody from his previous world considered him good looking with his messy hair and eyebags so he knew they were up to something, when he was on earth he had read many stories and had learned a lot from his own worlds history, these women didn''t give a damn about him all they wanted was political power which they could easily achieve if they got into a hero''s good side. He quickly turned around without uttering a word only to hear the woman''s scorn and short swears to him. He walked back and away from the crowd until something picked his interest by the furthest corner to him he saw three people who stood still not attempting to communicate with anyone else around. Mitch quietly told those around him to go away and kept walking towards them, as he did so he noticed that the group following him was slowly stopping and backing off. The three who stood before him were a couple and their daughter, once they saw him approach them the father stood up and came to greet him. The man whose face had been shaven quickly pulled a smile at his approach, he sported a dark brown coat and pants in the style of a tuxedo and had longish hair pulled up and to the side ( maes hughes style from fullmetal but brown). Father - well, hello there hero! Are you looking for something? He looked past him to the family behind. He could more clearly see the mother who had set herself to the side blocking his view of their daughter, she had an extremely pale face that looked like porcelain and the sclera ( white part of the eye) was pitch black with red iris. Mitch - i just came to ask why you were so lonely and apart from everybody else. I''m not judging but i assume your wife is some sort of demihuman that isn''t taken kindly here, am i right? His wife frowned at him for a second before turning away slightly and looking down. Father - you have guessed correctly and wrong as well! Mitch - why? What did i miss? Father - She isn''t a demihuman she is a necropolitan. Mitch - A what now? Mother - i natural ¡°undead¡± the characteristics of a great undead in humanish form, i never died either. Mitch - ain''t that just dandy! Hey sir uhhh¡ Father - Raphael! Mitch - Sir Raphael, how would you like to make a mutual pact with me? Chapter 12 - dealing with politics Raphael - what kind of pact? Mitch - well, a hero needs financial backup for equipment and other affairs, and in return you will be known for having a hero by your side, something that gives one fame among nobles and may even force them to respect you and your family, even if they are shun by society. Mitch''s speech gave the man cold sweats, he had before him the chance to change it all, with the right moves he could end the prosecution of his family and influence the beliefs of this whole kingdom. Raphael - i would love to, but i don''t believe i would have the financial power for such a thing. Mitch - wait, don''t be so hasty! Just because you can''t afford to be my ¡°sponsor¡± does not mean we aren''t able to make a deal! Raphael stared at him, making eye contact for a couple of seconds before nodding in understanding. Raphael - i see, i guess we can always make a deal like that but i would have to talk with my wife over my daughters hand. Mitch - Not Talking About THAT!!!(although ( ?¡ã ?? ?¡ã)???) I meant finding more people to help out, i''m sure you''re not the only one with such views that has financial power, among nobles and merchants there are sure to be more in the same situation as you or that support you, dont you know of anyone that can help? Raphael looked at the ground for a second before turning to the side and looking at the crowd around. Raphael - i..i might be able to find some people, but it will take some time, in about a week i should have everyone gathered. Mitch - i guess that settles it then. They both shook hands accepting what they had gotten themselves into. Raphael - just one last thing! You are an apostle to which God? Mitch - I have no idea. Bye. Mitch walked away as the family looked at him in confusion. He looked back only to have the angry face of the wife look at him as if her skin would shatter at any moment. The party went on through the night as a few more guests arrived and food was brought in. As time passed fewer and fewer people stopped talking with the heroes as they either rejected them, were ignored or the rare deals was made. People celebrated, for this would be one of their last chances of having fun without any cares, as soon as the flood started they would be in a constant state of tension that will only aggravate as the tougher waves come. With the night going and people relaxing ( getting tipsy), some started being more friendly and even daring each other into messing around. Noble girl - hey, which one of the heroes is the strongest between you all? The 20 something girl giggled with her friends as she talked to Daniel. Daniel - I don''t wanna brag too much since i don''t know the others abilities for sure but i am quite skilled with bows so i think i will do well enough! If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. His voice sounded within the almost quiet room, making the nobles ask themselves about the strength of each hero. They had made deals and pacts but how much would they be worth when their hero was either dead or turned out to be an incompetent. They asked around trying to find out and notice anything that could tell them more about their strength until a few grew the balls to ask directly. They started by questioning their chosen hero and then comparing with what they could find about by nagging the others. Noble 3 - excuse me, i know this may be bothersome but could you show us part of what you can do? Morpho - there ain''t much we can do at the moment, it would be better to wait around but i guess we could show them your *arm*ament , just wait a second im gonna change a few things. Pull your sleeve up to your shoulder! Mitch did as instructed and felt it turn to the normal gauntlet like form but this time it''s outer shape had changed again. The base of the forearm had widened by quite a bit turning almost double the thickness of his normal forearm, this thickened arm was hollow however as almost no weight was added to it but that soon changed, he felt 4 distinct weights being added and a fifth one that ran from one end to another which started on his finger and ran down. Morpho - a little modification for an extra humpf. Mitch kept his cool and acted as if he was the one in control as he spoke with those around im. Mitch - first of all this is my weapon, there does not appear to be many like it so you know it''s mine. Its serves as both armor and weapon. Noble 3- is that all! Very well then.(mumbling) i made a pretty good choice then. The party soon came to an end after a small speech by the king and a few members of the congress with their plan for the future. King - we have come to the end of this event and as such we will announce our plans for the upcoming ¡°tribulations¡±, the announcement of the waves will be sent to the masses in 2 weeks, so that we have time to prepare more calmly and save the treasury from the huge toll in the price increase known to occur as the waves are announced, during that time we ask you to make the preparations for recruitment and/or allocation of troops within the land offered onto you to rule. The members of the congress went on to specify any details that might not have been understood while the heroes were taken to their rooms. They would need a good night''s rest for the training that would follow. *In mitch¡¯s room* He sighed of relief as he jumped and stretched himself atop the bed. Mitch - hey Morpho? Morpho- ¡ Mitch- morpho? Morpho- ¡ Mitch - come on wake up i have a lot to ask you! Morpho, Morpho, Morpho, Morpho¡ Morpho - WHAT!? Mitch- i wanna ask you something. Morpho- what is it about? Mitch- i wanted to ask you about a lot of things actually. What are you exactly? And what can you do? So far i''ve seen you try a lot of things but you never told me what you were doing; and let''s not forget earlier today when you made me pass out and almost KILLED me. Morpho- i''m a relic that grows with its user, i can do a lot of things, mostly making robots and managing them and making modifications on myself, and lastly i wasn''t gonna kill you since you can''t die from that. Mitch face twitched and he yelled inside his mind: she said i*. Before being interrupted by Morpho. Morpho - no you wouldn''t, you aren''t like them, you are half human half ¡±them¡±, you don''t have a mana stone pumping your blood so mana deficiency won''t kill you, but it will feel quite uncomfortable. He calmed himself and sat back against the wall while taking of his uncomfortable shoes Mitch - alright, i guess that will do for now, wait i got one more. You said you could modify yourself right? Morpho - yeah! Why? Mitch - can you turn yourself into a sword or a bow? Morpho - i can, but wouldn''t a revolver be more useful instead of the bow? Mitch - wait, what? Morpho - nothing. Mitch - don''t tell me ¡°nothing¡±, you just said you can turn into a gun, now that''s something i can work with! Chapter 13- less politics more development Just as soon as the sun set it rose up again, tainting the room in a reddish orange on the wall by the door. it slowly opened as the maid walked into the room, gazing at it all with eyes that never stopped on the same place for more than half a second. She started by looking at the bed which was empty and then into the table with a small wall mirror made from a sheet of glass that had aluminium poured over on the back, all the while walking further into the room until she stepped on something and her foot sunk into the soft mass. Mitch - *huuuuf* *cough* *cough* what the! Oh crap i fell asleep on the floor, sorry. He quickly rose up after the initial jump and tried to stretch his shirt straight. She looked at him with a tiny grin as she tried not to laugh and apologise at the same time. Maid - im really sorry, i should be the one apologising, i stepped all over you. Why were you sleeping in the floor anyway? Mitch - i guess i just fell asleep there. Isn''t it a little early to be calling me anyway? Maid - everyone already expected you to be up and around by now, thats why i came to call you over, they are all waiting for you! He got up and thanked the maid before washing his face with cold water and roughly combing through his hair with his fingers. The maid had brought him a set of new clothes made for him, they had even taken into account his ¡°clothing problem¡± as the left arm hole on the undershirt had been widened into the armpit and the jacket had been cut to to only have half a sleeve and sowed with a wide strip on the inside (almost like the pocket fabric) for his arm to go through and several strings to then tighten it back up. Mitch - Done. Lets go! They quickly moved through the castle onto the dining hall, there the other three were already having breakfast. Mitch sat down and tried to find out what exactly all that was. A boiled egg as long as his middle finger had been boiled and pre-cracked along with some bread drizzled in ¡°olive oil¡± and some pieces of fruit. He struggled to eat it all before the others had finished as not to waste their time. Mitch - what are we gonna do today? Does anyone know? Ana - i think we''re going to have actual training today, the morning is going to be physical training and sparring, and the afternoon will be magic and basic spell arts. And just as she said so Nigel the instructor walked in. Nigel - are you folks ready!? They walked into the training field as guards went past them making their rounds through the castle grounds. Nigel - alright then, we are gonna start by training long range and then follow up with some combat and fighting techniques. The heroes were each handed a bow except for Daniel that already had his crossbow, and were all instructed to fire at the wooden logs set across where they stood. Each one of them fired for almost an hour until they could semi consistently hit the target near its center. Nigel - you''ve had a pretty good progress with the longbow (and crossbow), i think it''s a good time to follow up into the more direct combat. Are you ready? Daniel - what are we gonna use now? Nigel - wooden swords, poles for spears aaaand i think that''s it, also wooden shields and basic leather armor for cushioning. Mitch - wait why do we have to train against each other? Or to fight against armed opponents? In¨ºs - some of the monsters made by the flood are intelligent and will be armed. Mitch - should have remembered that! The training continued with them sparring one another this time, trying different types of weapons and strategies As to stop each other. Mitch went with a spear and a shield for his training, holding the shield on his right hand and the spear on his left one even with the slight bulk of the glove.Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation. Nigel - why aren''t you holding the spear in your right hand? Mitch - cuz im left handed *duh*. Nigel - fuck, i gotta train a devil hand!? Mitch - fuck you, there is nothing wrong with left handed people! In¨ºs - can you people be quiet!!! Mitch and the instructor both quieted down and left this discussion aside for later. The training continued without any accidents for almost 2 hours, the heroes were left tired and sweaty from all the exercise even though the day had barely started yet. Nigel - i think that will be enough for today you all look quite spent, go take a shower and we will be done with this earlier so you can walk around and visit the city, maybe find some useful equipments and maybe have some fun. The heroes each had a different reaction to it with Ana celebrating before laying on a bunch of boxes to rest, Daniel walking back to the castle by the shade and right behind him In¨ºs did the same. Mitch sat across Ana resting as well. Ana - do you have any place in mind to go to? Mitch - Not really. I think i''ll just look around the city, and you? Ana - im gonna go meet some nobles and look around the shops. They each got up and went into their respective rooms waiting for the maids to guide them. The maid soon showed up in his room and took him upstairs into a small room with a copper tub. Maid - i will prepare the water, you can start undressing and getting ready for the bath. Mitch stared at her for a second confirming what she had said with her nodding positively. He quickly undressed as she filled the tub with water conjured from a spell and shot a flame into the tube that wrapped all around the tub warming the water with it, she did this five time until the water seemed to release a bit of steam Maid - its ready, you may enter. Mitch walked past her while trying to keep a serious face. Mitch(within his mind) - don''t get a boner, don''t get a boner, don''t get a boner, don''t get a boner¡ He placed both feet on the water while holding himself up with his arms, slowly dropping into the warm water below. The maid searched through the cabinet, taking out two lidded jars one orange the other green. Maid - here you go, ill be heading out now. Mitch - wait you are just going to walk out? Maid - yes, why did you think i was gonna bathe you?( ?¡ã ?? ?¡ã) Mitch - am i supposed to be honest? Maid - yes. Mitch - then yes! Maid - oh my how lewd. Mitch - then why did you tell me to undress with you still here. Maid - cuz i wanted to, orange his for your hair , green is for your body and the towel is right under the tub. She closed the door behind her, leaving mitch alone in there. Mitch - i don''t know what i expected! Morpho - neither did i. Mitch - so you are awake again, care to stop ¡°showing up¡± intermittently, either be here and talk or not. Morpho - fine what you want? Mitch - you said you could make a gun yesterday, can you make it now? Morpho - yes i can, but just so you know don''t go firing willy-nilly it cost mana for each shot and you don''t have much yet. Mitch - ok, ok! The metal cracked as the gauntlet arched upwards a bit with just enough space for the hole of the barrel to be seen poking from the wrist and the base of the hand. Morpho turned back into a bracelet and Mitch washed himself as quickly as he could. Another set of clothes had been prepared for him, this time however there were no adjustments made since they had brought him a large robe/jacket that went to the middle of his thighs. Maid - before you go out you have to talk with the minister of finances. Mitch - where is he? Maid - he''s waiting near the front of the castle you can''t miss it. Mitch - thanks. Mitch walked past the maid and suddenly turned around. *Slap* Maid -Haaaa! why did you do that?! Mitch had slapped her bottom at the last moment all the while a huge grin grew across his face. Mitch - just so you know two can play that game!( ?¡ã ?? ?¡ã) The way to the front of the castle only took him a couple of seconds. All the while taking in the sites of the gardens and fields within the castle grounds. he soon found the one he thought to be the minister of finances standing right by the gate. Minister - so another one comes, hello ¡ i''m sorry i guess i forgot the name. Mitch - its ok. The name''s mitch. Minister - well mitch we can''t have the heroes walking around unprotected through the city for several reasons so before you head out and we give you your ¡°allowance¡± we are sending you out with a guard, he will also be dispatched with you anywhere you are sent to or go. Mitch - got it! Now can you give me the money and let me go? ??? - sure! Why not, am i right minister? A man in his thirties taller than mitch looked from behind the gate. He was extremely well built and the only one mitch had met that was taller than him on this world by 5 cm (1 to 2 inches), had slightly grey skin, along with two little stumps poking from his forehead that could barely be seen at all. From afar he would easily be confused for a really tall dwarf or an extremely stout giant covered in dust. ??? - hey boy, i heard ya dont mind demies, is that true? Mitch - if you mean demi-humans , then yes i''m ok with them. ??? - tis good to find more accepting people than these blokes. He slightly turned to the minister as he said so, but only enough for mitch to notice. Minister - i guess that will do for now, mitch here''s your money, 45 thousand royals, and you can trust Pence over there to help you out, he was one of our best recruits into the royal regiment. Mitch - ok ,then lets go. Pence - where do you wanna go to? Morpho- now that i think about it i could really use some stuff, go to a blacksmith. Mitch (both to pence and morpho)- i guess we could go to a blacksmith, i would love to know what we can get there! Chapter 14 - Strolling about. The armor over Pence¡¯s shoulders shrieked, being pulled and twisted as he yawned. Pence - what d¡¯ ya even want from a blacksmith? Mitch - i just wanna check a few things out, see if i can find any interesting things. Pence - then why don''t ya go to a weaponsmith? Morpho/Mitch - i wanna check for some materials. Pence¡¯s kept looking back with intrigue and confusion as he walked in front of him through the street. Pence - for what? What are ye even looking for? Mitch - i have no idea! Pence - I like the fact that ye don''t discriminate, but man are ya sounding weird right now. Pence dug paths through the crowded street as people stepped to the side instinctively, to the giant gray figure. The street were wide enough for two carriages to go past each other without disrupting traffic flow. Speaking of carriages, mitch had been so distracted by the city and the castle itself that when he first rode it to visit a shop, he had completely ignored the fact that what pulled it around were not horses but huge curve horned rams. Their size wasn''t abysmal but compared to regular rams or this worlds general populace they were pretty big, reaching just below mitch''s chest height. Mitch - is the blacksmith you''re taking me close to here? Pence - uhum, its just by the corner. This was the commercial part of town, where nothing besides stores were found here. It spanned through it all, from a measly bakery, to pubs, brothels, clothing stores, glassworking shops and everything in between. The store they had reached was far from the center of the district, having been built just a few blocks away from the entrance to the ¡°rich district¡±. The building was short and was open to the side exposing the man forging and two other workers that either stayed by his side or quickly ran to go get tools and materials. Pence - hey, can one of ya come greet us! The man at the forge didn''t look away as he pulled the hot metal bar out and slammed his hammer onto it forcing it to flatten a bit with each stroke. The two workers by his side gave each other a quick glance to each other quickly defining who would take care of the customers. The older looking one took it upon himself after a second glance at the younger one. Worker - what do you want? Pence who was being stared up and down by the worker, slowly looked back focusing on the hero. Mitch - i want to know what materials you have available at this moment, and how much they cost. Worker- You want ingots or raw materials? Morpho/Mitch - ingots, i need processed metal. Worker - very well, we have copper, iron, aluminum, and few niquel ones at the moment, but we can get more if you ask. Morpho quickly answered Mitch which ones to buy and how much of then. Mitch - i need, hmmm, forty kilos of iron. Worker - very well that should*If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Mitch quickly told the worker to stop. Mitch - im not done yet. I need an additional 23 kilos of aluminum, and give me one of those niquel bars. The worker turned around to look at the one forging. He took a quick look back and quenched the hoe blade he had been working on, handing it over to the younger worker. Boss- So, you want 40 kilos of iron, 23 of aluminum and a bar of niquel. That''s quite a hefty request for someone your age. Mitch - can you get it or not? Boss- i have the niquel ready and the iron, but that much aluminum will take a while to treat and process. I can sell you the other ones right now however. Mitch - how much for them? Boss - Taking into account the aluminum it would be left at around 24 thousand and a few royals, but without it, it would be around 17 thousand. I can give you the niquel and almost all the iron right now. Mitch took a long and deep breath as he considered whether it was worth it to spend all that money on something he didn''t even know what would be used for. (Inside his mind) Mitch - Why do you even want this?! Morpho - it''s a surprise. Mitch - You either tell me what you plan to make with all this metal or i won''t buy it! Morpho -i was gonna make you a bike. Mitch - Why would i want that! Morpho - b-but its always been something you wanted to have. Mitch - Yeah, but so what! I don''t know how to drive one, nor are there any streets here where i can drive on. Morph silenced himself as he contemplated his ignorance. He had not considered the situation he was in, even if they hadn''t felt it, they would soon be fighting for their own survival. They had more important things at the moment than completing a small wish for their own satisfaction. There were lives at stake here. Morpho - you are right, i guess we have more important things to do, sorry. Mitch - don''t beat yourself over, it was a pretty big wish of mine. It''s just not the right time. Morpho - Ok. Wait i have a plan, buy it anyways! Mitch - why? Morpho -just do it! Mitch took his hand of his chin and said to the blacksmith. Mitch - ill take it! Pence - oy, calm down, for that price he is robbing you, don''t accept it! Mitch - then how much do you suggest i offer? Pence - 14 thousand at max Boss - you what! For that price im offering it away. At the very least 16 thousand and 600. The discussion of price went on for 7 more minutes with a back and forth from both sides. Finally deciding on the value of 15thousand 500 and the promise of coming to buy any new metals the blacksmith could get his hands on. By that point he understood why morpho wanted to buy that metal again. The moment the waves were announced to the public the price of armor and weapons would skyrocket and with those two so would metal, as blacksmiths would be working non stop, quickly running out of metal. And once no one had metal to work with mitch would swoop in and sell it for double or triple what he had bought it for. Pence - so where are ya going to put all this metal? Mitch - i was thinking of just sending it to the castle, they wouldn''t mind it right? Pence - (chuckle), crazy bastard! What da ya think of looking for sum artifacts next? Mitch - aaaaah, sure i guess we have time. Pence - i actually knoo a great place around here, that''s where i got these gloves with death-grip. Mitch - the hell is death- grip? Pence -i guess ya dont knoo, death grip is when ya have both lockjaw and higher traction on them. Mitch - how does that work. Pence -when ya add sum mana to them they lock up in place and get really rough, nothing can escape once i put my hands on em. They had walked back towards the castle, suddenly turning once they walked past the gate of the rich district, although this district was used for housing it wasn''t impossible to open a shop here, but one would have to pay a much higher tax here, it did however come with added security as each side of gates between districts had a pair of trained guards at all times. The door hit the bell hanging from the ceiling, warning to the entry of a new customers into the store. The owner wa strutting around the inside, cleaning the counter and arranging the varied objects in their respective boxes, while a man by the corner polished the objects from a box and put it on another, this second one was a guard to this shop, checking every move mitch and pence made. Pence - hey walter. Walter - hey. What brings you here? Pence - i brought me student to check yar shop. Walter - damn, he¡¯s a tall fucker! You sure he¡¯s not your son?! Pence - hey, don''t ya fucking start it! Walter - Alright, alright. Anyway you have anything in mind boy? Mitch - Not really but i''ve got money to spend, so show me what you''ve got! Chapter 15 right? The man walked me through the store showing and praising every item he sold as ¡°incredible goods¡±, he did have some interesting things but most of them didn''t catch my fancy. I did want to buy some items but i was trying not to show interest in them now that i knew this was a place where they liked to bargain quite a bit. I probably should have done that as well in the forge but now is not the time to be captain foresight. - Walter was it? - Yes? - How much for these bracelets? The bracelets in question were a pair, made of three braided metal wires without ends, made to be worn around the ankles. The purpose of these was to silence the user as he walked or ran by, absorbing vibrations in a radius around them. Pence was the first to answer me, revealing yet another thing i didn''t know. - Those will cost a lot! why not make ones with an enchanted soulstone, they end up being much cheaper. -What''s the difference? Besides the price. - Those are artifacts and the ones im talking about are only enchanted, those may be smaller and have less weight since they don''t need a relatively big soulstone on them. But soulstones have aa variety of uses and can be kept without being noticed, like these. Pence took of his armor revealing a small divided pocket/satchel strapped across his chest. There were several tiny pockets barely large enough to stick a finger inside, stitched onto it with over half of them filled by a single oval figure, each a slightly different tone from green to purple. -- Bu if they break you lose their effect, and they aren''t that tough. Was the response Walter gave to my comment. -I''ll go with the soulstones instead of these then. How about that one? - Which one mitch? the one i pointed out was a rounded bone band with a smaller metal band embedded on its outside. This was made to be used upon the wrist, and its effect consisted of absorbing changes in momentum slowly accumulating the force, later releasing it to the arm in a ¡°rocket¡± punch. Although the effects sounded fictional they were very much real, as in if i hit a shield or a wall with a fully charged shot it would break them,... along with my hand, forearm and possibly others. And what if i missed! I would be either sent flying forward or in the worst case scenario in which i didn''t have a lot of endurance, rip my arm out. - That one is a little too dangerous for ya, don''t ye think? Was the immediate response by pence to the white and silver ornament locked up in the back wall. - I also think that one might be a little too much for you. - Don''t you people worry about that, i''ll find a way, more importantly is this one also possible to get in soulstone? - That one you can''t get in soulstone, no one has been able to make an enchantment that works the same way as that. Walter soon turned back to open the glass ¡°cage¡± in which it was held, quickly turning to - So you are taking this bracelet and a soulstone with a silencing effect. Anything else? -I think that will be all for now. - Hurry up b...mitch, it''s time to go, we are late for magic training, and we both know how much we wanna learn that. Walter pulled out a piece of charcoal and scribbled down some numbers as he calculated how much this would all cost. - That will beeeeee¡ 23000 but since you are a friend and disciple of pence here i wanna make sure you don''t die,i''ll make it 21300, call it an investment so you show up later on. And remember if you have any artifacts or enchanted material i''ll buy it from you. - Cool, thanks. I handed him the money and quickly ran out the store with the bracelet on my left hand and the soulstone in the same pocket i kept my quickly diminishing money. Whittled down to just 7000 ( i swear i didn''t try to make this a round number, it just happened). If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. - So, where are ye going now? Pence had quickly ran after me the moment i left the store. - Back to the castle its time to get magic training. - But magic training is only at two? *Ting* *tong* I decided not to tell him it wasn''t magic and that to get it he would need a living armor piece and a lot of luck for it to be at the exact moment. Just so i dont crush his dreams of course. The trip back was quick, and just as soon as i crossed the gate, pence left to do other tasks. - Take care, i gotta go lad! I just kept moving forward paying almost no attention to the quick goodbye pence had given me. Not that i didn''t care, i was merely too focused on the prospect of having actual magic lessons. Move aside biology and physics i have a new favorite subject. The class was going to be given in the same room where we had previously been appraisal by Carol the *Witch* . I wasn''t the first to arrive as both Daniel and Ana were already seat across from the *teacher*. - Am i late? - No, i had just arrived too. - Same! - Alright, only one left. - Can''t we just start without In¨ºs? I''m really interested in learning this and i can''t wait! Carol had this question running through her mind for a second as she looked down and sighed. - Alright, i guess we can. But before we start i want to remind you that this is a serious topic and that there are risks of accidents when trying magics you haven''t experimented with before or don''t fully understand, so for that purpose you will all use full body robes, they have been made to protect a student from any rebound, but do not offer a lot of physical protection so dont think yourselves indestructible in those. The robes we were given had little copper medals hanging all across it covering us completely, with the edges of the robe dragging along the floorboards as we moved. - Let''s start by teaching you how to move your mana around. Mitch here as already done so, but i assume by the use of a skill so you aren''t quite aware of the process you went through to do it. Focus on the flow of power.slowly circling around your chest, then like waves try to push it and pull it from your chest to the tip of your fingers. I felt a simultaneous warmth and chill as something crept up my arm from within Morpho. This must be my mana being sloshed around by him into my body. I focused on it and try to go along with his impulses pushing it all the way from my left hand to my right one and back. This went on for a while until i felt i had moderately grasped the concept behind it. - What now? - Now comes the fun and dangerous part, it''s time to try on some spells. First of all comes the image projection! After you have thought what you are gonna attempt you must focus on an example of it and try to remember the principle behind it. As an example if you were trying to make bread out it, you would think up of the flour, the water and the salt bringing those images into your head so that you could call out a piece of bread. That is the process through which one uses magic. So kids let''s line up outside and try a few things you think of. - Can i be the first to try? Both Daniel and Ana to a glance at me, immediately deciding that i was a fucking weirdo just because i had understood all the gibberish spoken by Carol. - I don''t see why not. You can go ahead. I ran past both of them as i made my way to the training field. I had just understood magic and i could barely contain my anxiety to try it out, and to think it would be this easy to conquer such a dream. - Hold your horses, you aren''t trying anything until i get there! She soon took her place behind me along with the other two, they been told to stand there as not to be hit by any of my attempts in the case they flew out of their target. - You can start now! Just tell me what you are gonna do first. - Im gonna try to set fire to that log with a stream of flames. This log was almost 7 meters away making it quite a difficult target for someone with no experience like myself. I started by focusing on what a fire was and what i should attempt, a fire is nothing more than fuel, fuel as it reacts with another element, and so i focused. I thought what kind of fuel to use but the only one i properly understood was coal, coal is nothing more than carbon, carbon is¡ i guess that is all i know of carbon, but its not like these people know a lot more either, so i went on to the other ingredient, oxygen, pretty easy as well. I focused on my palm slowly making the image of little pieces of carbon and oxygen forming upon my hand¡ but the only thing i ended up with was an extremely small brease and a hand covered in a small amount of dust. In my hurry i had forgotten the other essential thing! Heat! Without heat to start the reaction of it would just end up like this. I tried again this time extending my arm towards the target and putting a lot more work into it, i imagined the heat bursting out of my hand and setting the dust aflame as it flew across the field, completely torching the log in my path. I took a quick breath and pulled as much mana as i could through my arm, turning it into heat, air and fuel as it crept up the same, until a pure blue flame shot through the air along with a scream of surprise, slamming onto the log with immense pressure and heat. As the yell stopped, so did the flames but even with the measly two seconds it lasted it was enough to set it burning out for itself. Carol was shocked the moment she had seen such a colored flame appear, however she hadn''t been the one who screamed, it had been me! I clutched my arm and fell to the dirt as the pain stopped me from making any movement, Carol and the others had quickly run up to me who was lying down. -What the fuck did you do! let me see your arm! It looked quite bruised with its underside looking like it had been pummeled from the elbow to the end of my wrist. -You fucking moron you started the magic inside your arm, with such powerful flames it''s a miracle you didn''t blow your hand off! Come on let''s get you treated. Bloody kid! Chapter 16 - the end of the boring training -How in the fuck did you manage to hurt yourself again?! How stupid are you? - i almost blew my arm off! Do you really think this is the time to be giving me sass! I screamed back at her in between groans and hiccups of pains, all the while she quickly turned to the side, yelling for a medic to hurry up and come help. A young man in a white jacket and funny hat walked up to my side. As he lowered myself to my eye level (i was in a bed raised two feet of the ground) i noticed a emblem stitched onto his left shoulder. This must either be the symbol of this country or the one the medics use, i should ask him later when i''m not in immense pain. - hello i am gabriel, i was the one appointed to come take care of you. - Whatdefuck are you talking about! Just fucking help me, i don''t give a shit who you are! He snapped out of his calm and collected state at that point as he came to notice that this wasn''t such a happy visit and he couldn''t have a chat. -i...im really sorry, i should start treating you. He raised my arm and placed a towel under the elbow. My wrist and carpal tunnel had been burnt from the inside and i couldn''t move my fingers, the tendons had probably been shredded by the heat and the small explosion that had went off inside my arm. I could feel his hands being covered in a thin film of mana before placing one on my bicep and the other on the tip of my fingers. -ill start the healing now! - why are you announcing it?! just WAAAAAA¡ i felt my arm bloat from the pressure and my tendons stretch back and reconnect with my fingers, it was like there were worms wriggling themselves through my arm but that wasn''t what caused me pain, that was caused by the burnt parts as the blood pressure skyrocketed towards my hand and an itch so strong one would need to rub sandpaper just to calm it down a little appeared. - This...is a DEEP pain! - This... isn''t the last part, just so you know, it gets worse but then it''ll be better. - Oh cool it gets worse! He lowered my arm back onto the bed and pulled out a hollow needle and a long thin blade like a mini rapier he would use as a scalpel. All the while Carol leaned against the wall with her arms crossed and biting her lip from the discomfort of watching the next step. In a swift move he stabbed the blade into my carpal tunnel and shoved the needle at the same time he pulled the other out. -that should remove the swelling caused by the air inside, you should be good to go after i finish bandaging your hand. I stood up from the bed as the medic finished rubbing a paste over my arm and wrapping it. - This should numb your arm for a few hours so the pain won''t disturb you just don''t use this arm again until tomorrow for magic or any other action. I didn''t utter a word towards him. not that i didn''t want more for the fact that if i decided to yell at him i probably would never stop, along with the pain that was also stopping me from breathing. - Can we get the fuck outta here then Carol? She stopped rolling her hair around her fingers and stood straight taking her back of the wall. - I guess there''s no point in staying here any longer anyway, let''s go back to training then. But don''t fuck up this time! The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. We went back to the field as each hero gave me a different look. Daniel looked worried that i might have hurt myself seriously. Ana looked astonished that i had returned so soon and that i looked fine. ¡ Oh and In¨ºs apparently had returned. Still had the resting bitch face though. - Alright you three can go back to training. In¨ºs come aside so i can put you up to what i had told them already. - So¡ did you do anything while i was gone? - Do you really think we just went back to training after you almost tore your hand off?! - Don''t be like that Ana! Are you alright now? - It should be alright by tomorrow apparently, just gotta use my left arm meanwhile, shouldn''t be hard since its my dominant hand anyway. - What??? Ana seemed to go berserk at the last part. - Are you seriously left handed? -yeah, why? You''ve got something against it?! My face had turned serious at this point as i looked at her and was met with a look of disdain and pity, she somehow despised me for being left handed! I could feel a slight wiggle in that word, whatever caused me to be able understand those around me be it skill or otherwise had given me a hint. Deformed might have been the translation to what she said but it wasn''t what she meant! The moment i thought of that word inside my head i could feel others float to my mind like they were the other translation suggestions. Handicapped, deficient, retarded¡ I tried to keep myself calm through what she had said but the moment those words ran through my mind i had lost it to the red curtain cast over my eyes. - You wanna fucking go! You think you can treat me like that and that i won''t do shit because you''re a girl! - Mitch! Ana! You two fucking stop fighting and insulting each other like children! We are supposed to be fighting in a holy quest to save this world. And we can''t do that if we are lunging at each other''s throats. Daniel was the one to pull us back to the reality of our situation. He was really good at coercing people, especially with a loaded crossbow on hand. We went back to experimenting with magic. And when i say we, i mean Morpho and I since Ana wasn''t any good at it and Daniel was still fiddling with a tiny amount of mana running it through his body and testing its properties. - hey Morpho? - uuuum! - Can i shoot magic out of my hand with you in the way? - im an extension of you at this point, so if you focus you should be able to control mana all the way through me. - alright then! Time to test it again this time without fucking up my hand. I sensed mana flowing out of my arm and of three points within the armors forearm, charging up the fingers of the glove. I sent it forward in a stream of blue waves making two things different this time, my hand didn''t explode and i didnt stop sending it this time. I kept the stream going for as long as i could till the log had such a big hole carved into it that the moment i stopped my attack it snapped and fell forward. - Now thats some hellfire! - Hey Morpho? - What? - Are you sucking mana of my body? - yeah, i''ve been storing all the mana you make inside me. That''s why i told you not to put any points in wisdom. I''ll make out of you the most powerful magician there ever was. - How much mana can you store? - I''m not sure, let me count. 2¡, and 2¡, plus 3¡? around 700 mana. - If i could i would blow you right now. That''s incredible! You can''t be blown though right? - i dont have a body, so no. - Good i didn''t wanna be called out on that. I was exhilarated to know that Morpho was a giant battery, he was right on what he said with him taking care of half the work i could become the greatest magician there is in no time, flinging spell at anything that moved. - alright you lot it''s already late, time for supper, i hope you sleep early tonight, we are gonna get you all to different places so you can start training tomorrow. You will need to be up by 4 am. Nigel had come to get us off the field. - god, this shit is going to be a pain tomorrow. Chapter 17 - pack your shit folks... Cuz my stories are trash They all turned their back and started walking towards the buildings, but not me i wanted to do one last thing before going. This had been a request by morpho. ¡°Hold on, before you go let me try to cast a spell, i wanna test myself out.¡± His voiced contained a bit of enthusiasm. ¡°What are you gonna try?¡± I asked him with a slightly snarky tone, i didn''t want to be dragged to the doctor again today, so i wasn''t going to take any chances. ¡°It''s nothing big don''t you worry, it''s more of a distraction attack or a little bluff/trump card.¡± i could hear a grin in his voice, like smugness itself reverberated in each word. I looked back before raising my arm at the log only to be called out by a sudden ¡°higher¡± from morpho. I pointed my arm upwards at a 45 degree angle. ¡°perfect¡± was the only thing i heard before he shot a ball in flames towards the air. ¡°turn around quick¡± morpho yelled within my mind in a panicky voice. It came right in time as the ball seemed to bloat a bit before reigniting in a extremely bright dot across the sky. My shadow seemed to darken due to all the light that shone from behind me. ¡°i made a ball of magnesium powder, a perfect flashbang don''t you think¡± I was made speechless not by the thing going on behind me but by the pissed stars that came from the group ahead as they eyed the remaining bright sparks falling behind me. ¡°Sorry¡± was the only thing i could whisper out to the mad look of Nigel. ¡°fucking wizards and their crazy tricks. Get moving Mitch before you burn the palace to the ground.¡± He seemed to calm down a bit at the last part turning back towards the buildings. After a few hour of eating and discussing they ended up revealing the name of each place where we would be sent. ¡°Each of you will be sent to a different location to train as a son of a noble that wanted to adventure in a low level area.¡± The ones giving out this information was the king himself as he sat on the end of the long table. ¡°You will be sent to a small town by the shore, the name of the town is Red-ridge, you will be further informed on the composition of the dungeon¡¯s *inhabitants* along with a detailed presentation of those who will be helping you.¡± The night ended with a calm goodbye to each other and the return yo our rooms for the last night in this castle for the few months to come. Except for me, i was being interrogated on the reason someone was trying to deliver a huge pile of metal ingots to here. The king hasn''t even left the room before a guard from the gate had come running to say about the delivery. ¡°hello my great king i had come to ask if one of these disciples had bought a bunch of iron ingots.¡± his ragged breathing had calmed before he had said those first words, and his face had turned from serious to a calm and sheepish smile before the king. I was still crossing the door out the room the moment he said the message, to which i proceeded to walk back in and explain that they had been bought by me. ¡°Then, that explains that. Just get them taken into our storage rooms, no put them on the cargo to the second carriage outside.¡± the guard vanished from the room in a fast pace instead of his prior run as not to make noise. ¡°Are you going to explain me why you bought so much metal?¡±Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! ¡°No¡± i answered him with a smile and he didn''t seem to care for what i would use it. I went to sleep crashing onto the hay filled mattress with no bounce. ¡°Night, morpho.¡± I said before placing *him* under my head and laying on my side. ¡°I don''t actually sleep but good night to you too¡± the metal gauntlet didn''t actually feel cold nor uncomfortable as i rested my head on its open palm. The night went through and i slept perfectly without a single bump, screech or any other sound being able to wake me up from my deep slumber. I was however still very much susceptible to shakings and people yelling for me to wake up. ¡°Noble hero it''s already time, you must wake. You''re running out of time!¡± ¡°God is that you?¡± I opened my eyes and tried to focus them through my tired and dazed mind. The elf looking maid had entered my room and come to wake me up. I rubbed my face and yawned as she placed a new set of clothes on my bed. A red shirt with long droopy sleeves on both sides hugging tight onto my chest but giving plenty of space for morpho and completely hiding my hands and arms. I thanked her and ran out to get breakfast. After a quick meal i was escorted along with the other three towards the carriages we would travel in for the next 8 hours apparently. This carriages were not decorated nor did they possess any symbol on them but they were still very well built with a tight wooden frame reinforced with metal corners and a¡ suspension? I lowered myself to properly take a look at it and there did seem to be a series of sideways shaped metal plates spread across the bottom of the carriage and a metal frame to absorb the impact of the larger bumps. ¡°I guess this is as far as we go together until the waves arrive.¡± Daniel said to us with a sad look like he somehow missed one of us already. I shrugged at that and so did the girls each with a slight difference in the way we did it, with the most ¡°different¡± one being from In¨ºs. ¡° Thank be the god of money and commerce i won''t have put up with anymore of your pathetic behaviors and acts.¡± ¡°Hey In¨ºs! Bite me!¡± Was the last thing they heard me say before i got into my carriage. Bags had been stuffed under the seats and into a square chest set between the stuffed seats and served as a table. I sat on the left side by the open back and waited as a few more people slowly got in and the animals were attached to the carriage. I counted those around me making a total of 4 distinct people besides me, one was good old Pence while the other three i had no idea about. ¡°So who are you?¡± I asked them. ¡°We are the ones responsible for helping you grow and make sure you''re safe for the next few months.¡± The one who spoke was a man with black long spiked hair that pulled away from his forehead like someone had paused it as he fell of a roof. ¡°I was looking for names! But thanks anyway.¡± He sulked for second and stared at Pence ¡° well you already know him, so that leaves me, Itan by the way, im a Half harpie.¡± I looked at him as he said that and noticed something quite obvious on his hair, those weren''t hairs they were feathers, that''s why his hair stood up so much. ¡°What about you three?¡± I said to the others hoping they would break their silence and their stares. ¡°I''m Oxil, a human all the way through¡± he had brown hair tied in a ponytail. ¡°Bert, i''m a homunculus.¡± a well tanned man with white hair and yellow eyes, wearing a hoodie. ¡°Drix¡ im a rinat.¡± ¡°A what?¡± I could get a good look as he was covered from top to bottom in thick rags and long robes. ¡°She''s a turtle person.¡± Pence said. ¡° You can take of your rags he doesn''t mind. ¡°Fuck you! I decide.¡± She yelled through his wrapped face. I tried to be friendly and asked him. ¡°Can you take those off so i can get a good look at you?¡± She seemed to hesitate and pout before unwrapping herself, she started by getting rid of the cloth around her face and head revealing a dark skin with a green tint to it covered in tribal marks, she did not look human in the slightest with a giant mouth and thick wrinkly neck. ¡°You don''t look that bad.¡± I said to her as she giggled a bit. ¡°Thanks¡± she said back before unwrapping the rest of her outfit. A pale blue and green shell divided in three sections each with large spread apart spikes, her front¡ surprised me as she actually wore clothes even with the spiked shell she wore a shirt like it was an apron around her neck and tied behind her pants. ¡°I guess now i kinda know who you all are and that will do for now. So whos ready for the long ass trip?¡±
