    There lay a man of bones, clothes long eroded by time.


    ¡°Elise quick come here, we may have found something¡±


    ¡°Kat my ears are still ringing, what did you find? Holy fuck Kat, what is that, should we report it?¡±


    Upon close observation of Kat, the man was¡­ alive? She could see the veins of the man, still with blood.


    ¡°uhhh Kat, should you be touching that?¡±


    Too late.


    ¡°Elise, call the ambulance NOW! He is alive¡±


    While Kat stayed with the man, Elise quickly went out of the tomb to call the police.

    ¡°Hey, I¡¯m gonna go with him, you go home Elise, your parents will be worried about you, especially if they heard about this¡±


    Only now did it come to Elise mind that they were in a restricted zone and the dust of the tomb only served to remind that Elise couldn¡¯t be seen here as the daughter of a relatively rich household. She had to keep up a good public face as fake as it was. Kate on the other hand, an orphan who was working alone to support herself had no real issues staying with the man.


    ¡°Ok Kate, let me know how it goes with the man, seems like a interesting story for me tomorrow.¡±


    ¡°See ya Alice¡±


    Kate wondered whether to take him out or not, the man looked extremely Fragile and she didn¡¯t wanna risk anything by causing more harm then helping.


    Soon after Elise left, the Ambulance had arrived and when the paramedics saw the man, they knew he was getting rushed to the ER. The man had been safely secured in the gurney and was on the way to the ambulance.


    ¡°Hello miss are you his Family?¡±


    ¡°No but I found him and I would like to come see him, please?¡±


    ¡°I see no issue with that, please come quick.¡±


    Leaving, Kat did a quick scan of the room and found that there was a circle in the room that look far stronger and Darker than the rest of the area, almost as if it had aged for a much longer time in comparison to the rest of the room but she paid it no heed.


    During the ride, there was nothing significant, the man had no muttered a single word since, and you couldn¡¯t even tell if he was awake, sleeping or unconscious. Paying it no heed, she more carefully observed the man. He didn¡¯t look like he had just been stuck there for a while, he looked starved, almost as if he had been starving for months, all bone, no meat to be seen anywhere. She felt pain for him, what agony he must have had to bare, no sunlight, no food, alone, comfort.

 Chapter 1-The Unfortunate Beginning

    Move¡­ move!!!... MOVE DAMN IT.


    Mark unable to make body move, he wasn¡¯t paralyzed, but it was almost the same, the agony of waiting for centuries just to say a word, a millennium to move your hard a and an Era when taken for a stroll in a wheelchair.


    Mark had been for all this time trying to understand and formulate what his teacher had left for him. If he could just sprout the Time-seed, he would gain everything he once lost. His memories, only thing that kept him going, that¡¯s all he wanted for now because he knew there was something important in them. The time before the formation, he had no recollection but he knew that¡¯s where the most important memories for his sense of self were. He was only human and his mind would not be able to handle the time spent within. All that he had learnt from his teacher, every eon his teacher would seal it such that his mind wouldn¡¯t break. If he understood time, he would sprout the seed of time his teacher had left him, as he understood time more and more, it would grow into the tree of time within him but to take it further then, he had no hope, it had been million Eons and he barely was on the verge of sprouting the seed. He just needed one more Eon and he would be a child of time, as long has his death wasn¡¯t unnatural, he would live as long as time existed.


    ¡°Hey Ms. Peterson, how is he doing?¡±(Kat)


    ¡°All the same, finally has some meat under the bones¡± (Ms. Peterson)


    ¡°So did they find out who he is?¡± Kat inquired.


    ¡°No, he hasn¡¯t moved since and he is too malformed to be recognized properly, we are going to have to give him a few more months get healthy and someone should come to send his news to the embassies, the American embassy already came here half a month ago.¡± Ms. Peterson replied unenthusiastically. She had been taking care of this man for the last month, and it was a demotion from her last patient, she definitely wasn¡¯t happy but a job is a job what can you do?


    Kat sat down on a bench in the Garden and was surprised to see a Blond lady looking right at their group of three and coming towards them.


    ¡°Hello, I was told to come here to find the unidentified Patient.¡± The lady asked exhausted as if she hadn¡¯t done anything else and just rushed to ask that question.


    ¡°Hello, I¡¯m Kate and this is the patient you¡¯re talking about.¡±


    ¡°Excuse me then¡±


    Paying Kate no further mind, the lady went to check the patient


    ¡°umm I don¡¯t think you should-¡± Kat warned


    ¡°I already asked¡± The lady quipped. She pulled up the sleeves to check his shoulders and there was a very old tattoo that was very fade, barely visible but the Lady visibly shook as soon as she saw it. She looked him in the face and the moment he caught a sight of her, his body shook and went limp. ¡°Mark, it¡¯s really you.¡±This text was taken from Royal Road.     Mark was shaken, he knew this lady and she was very important to him, he knew but he didn¡¯t know how.

    He was struggling, he was pushing his somewhat evolved mind to the limit trying to remember her and finally he felt like he was making progress, he was at the cusp of it all. He was just about to remember, he just had to push his brain to the limit, overwork his brain¡¯s security so he could remember. Then it happened, he remembered, but what pushed him wasn¡¯t only her, it was something his teacher had told him before the last parting. ¡°Remember, time never bends to the will of anyone, you can only bend yourself for time.¡± He had truly accepted that he could not change the flow of time, he could only change himself and change the way he interacted with time so he could get the results he wanted from time. He was willing to do anything to remember her, and this is what gave him what he needed, submission to time, complete submission that he would not be over time and time would always rule over him.


    ¡°Anna¡± The only thing he could think of as he broke out of the cage of time. He had finally completed the first part, he seed had sprouted, he had remembered the time before the formation but with it he also gained eternity, he could also become someone of more power but how long would that take? He had taken a million eons for the first part alone, thus he would think of it no more, he could finally truly return to his body, and he could control his perception of time. He could accelerate it or decelerate his perception as he wished but what more he could do with the sprout, he would have to wait, observe, analyses then make conclusions but for now all he cared about was her. ¡°I¡¯m so happy to see you again, how long have I been gone?¡± He asked with a raspy voice. He wanted to do more than just tell her, he wanted to get up and hug her and show her how much he missed her, he had missed her for eons but alas his body was too weak.


    At the same time, the nurse went off fast to report the incident to the Doctor and Kat just stood their awkwardly.


    Anna slumped down and hugged Mark cried on his chest while whimpering, ¡°Oh mark, I looked for you in the tomb for so long, we all did at first, the others lost hope of finding anything but I at least wanted to find your body, I thought you were dead Mark, I looked for you for 3 years and I settled down in this city and now 5 years have passed since you¡¯ve been gone¡±


    He wanted to hold her and tell her that it was going to be ok but he was still too weak and he was just too agonized with how much pain she had been in, how could he have even forgotten her for a second, she was everything to him.


    Thus Mark made a decision, with the new powers he had, he would do everything he could to make her happy, it had been too long, and he knew that their old enemies wouldn¡¯t have left her alone after he was gone, he was definitely going to make this woman in front of him happy with all he had.

 Chapter 2- The Unexpected Rise

    ¡°Hey Mark, I¡¯ve almost finished the paperwork for getting you discharged, we can go home soon, so what¡¯s up with the kid that visits you?¡± Anna inquired.


    ¡°You mean Kat? You could say she saved me, she¡¯s just a poor kid, an orphan if I remember correctly, why jealous?¡± Mark smirked.


    ¡°What¡¯s there to be jealous of?¡± Anna just wanted to know what Mark thought of Kat.


    ¡°Just teasing, love.¡± He hadn¡¯t gotten a chance to ask Anna what she was doing now. He had barely grasped her situation. The Urn in the tomb was worth 3 million in which everyone took their share, Anna got Mark¡¯s part too. After Mark¡¯s ¡®death¡¯ everyone went their own ways. Anna stayed in the town of Soracota to look for Mark¡¯s remains while building a company. While in Soracota, their enemies didn¡¯t seem too keen on splitting up their power and chasing all the way here. It seems there were a couple of serious attempts but the rest have just been targeted towards her company which were relatively easier to deal with, she had it better than he had thought but then again, she probably wasn¡¯t telling him everything just to make him not worry.


    ¡°Would you like to help her?¡± Anna asked.


    ¡°Hmm? With what?¡± (Mark)


    ¡°Well you know, with her well financial situation, I had someone look into her, she doesn¡¯t have the brightest ummm life, the past, present nor the future I believe.¡±


    ¡°Hmmm? Tell me more.¡± He would help her out because she had tremendously helped him. He would have still survived without her, but it would have taken way more time that and he may not have broken out of his cage if he hadn¡¯t me Anna and that would mean a lot more time. She had also been regularly visiting him, something that gave him a weird feeling.


    ¡°Well I mean her whole life has been once huge mess, parents killed in front of her, almost sold off as a slave by human traffickers, and then ended up in an abusive orphanage which has been shut down, now she owes large sums of money to loan sharks. She however does have a somewhat wealthy friend, but either they aren¡¯t close enough or her friend doesn¡¯t know how Kate is really doing.¡± (Anna)


    ¡°So what did you want to do with her?¡±(Mark)


    ¡°Not sure if you are ok with it so I wanted to ask you first, I was thinking of hiring her for you as a maid, attendant or secretary of some sort, in which we will give her a decent salary, pay off her debts but make her sign a contract to work for a few years, which isn¡¯t too bad to her pervious arrangement, great in fact.¡± (Anna)

    ¡®Wait, what¡¯s wrong with maids?¡±(Anna)


    ¡°Nothing, I just don¡¯t like that someone who helped me would be just a maid, it feels wrong.¡±(Mark)


    ¡°Fine, not that it makes a difference, I personally think she would be lucky to have you to serve as a maid, unless you were thinking of doing other things with your maids.¡± Anna said dejectedly.


    ¡°Anna, I know it has been awhile, a long while in fact but understand that I only love you.¡± Mark thought he knew where her line of thought was going.


    She brightened, ¡°I know silly, I was just messing with you, and I love you too.¡± She gave him hug and a peck and as she walked out of the room with a tinge of red.


    (5 minutes later)


    ¡°Ok I got all the paperwork done, we can go home now¡±


    ¡°Hey, I heard you were getting discharged today¡± Kat stated as she half walked half jogged into the room.


    ¡°Yeah, perfect timing actually, since you helped us out quite a bit through the month, how about a new job? I assure you it pays better, we can also take care of your debt but you going to sign a contract to work for us for a few years.¡± Anna handed Kat a card. ¡°It¡¯ll be a 24/7, but whether you want this chance or not, up to you, it¡¯s not open forever¡±


    ¡°How much would it pay monthly?¡±(Kat)


    ¡°3000 a month would be starting, the rest-¡°


    ¡°I¡¯ll take it.¡±(Kat)


    ¡°Great, maid, attendant or secretary, you¡¯ll be sent to training on your choice, Mark particularly doesn¡¯t seem to care so you get to decide.¡±(Anna)


    ¡°Whatever you think is best.¡± Kat stated as she didn¡¯t really know what each of them entailed but as long as the pay was good, she didn¡¯t really mind.. This was already way above her paycheck as a bartender and they said they would write of her ever increasing debt off in exchange for a few years. If she tried to pay it herself, who knew how many years it would have taken. She also didn''t think Mark was a bad person so this job wouldn''t make her do anything she didn''t really want to. She would realise later that what she wants now and later would be vastly different.


    ¡°You¡¯ll be an attendant, you will be Mark¡¯s personal attendant. You¡¯ll be sent to training as soon as you arrive.¡± Anna pondered for a second and once again said, ¡°Oh and come latest by 3 days, you will be provided a living quarters so get there with all your belongings, non-negotiable, no furniture required, you will also sign the contract then.¡± Then Anna gave her a blue card. ¡°Show this to the guards to get in.¡±


    ¡°Thank you very much¡± Kat beamed as she said and everyone started heading their own way.


    (Few minutes later in the car)


    ¡°See I told you she wouldn¡¯t mind becoming your maid.¡± Anna snickered.


    ¡°Yeah right, probably she didn¡¯t want to leave a bad impression.¡± Mark assumed she had not picked because she was too afraid to, not because she knew nothing.


    ¡°Could be, but it doesn¡¯t matter either way, btw she¡¯s just 2 years younger than you, don¡¯t get any funny ideas¡± Anna warned him even though she knew nothing would happen, she just felt better getting it off her chest.


    ¡°2 years? More like eternity.¡± Mark muttered under his breath but quickly said, ¡°When I¡¯ve got you, why would I need anything else?¡±


    Anna just smiled and drove.


    Mark after the seed had sprout remembered everything to the point of getting into the formation, now Mark was slowly starting to unravel his first teachings in the formation. He had a vague idea that his body and mind had been gone for too long for him to not remember Anna. He now also had to figure out how to use what he had but that would be on hold until he fully recovered his body.
