《Doctor X's Lessons and Tales》 Prologue - The Impossible Possibility I find myself standing on a tower of mankind''s advances, yet I can never see over the horizon. It seems this world was too big for my eyes, yet I strive! But why! Why? I seem to not be able to succeed through others, I seem to not be able to succeed through the rules and regulations of existence,If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. I seem to not be able to succeed through myself, Yet I can see all around me that others have succeeded through all these manners, They can see over the horizon, for the world was too small for them. Is this what others have meant by doing the impossible? Is this what they meant?! This is not right, this is false, this is impossible, doing the impossible through the possible like the others have. I lament to myself, ''I am powerless, I have seen that now. I shall no longer do the impossible, for I ''see'' that over the horizon, the impossible never existed. There was no ''over the horizon''. What I imagined over the horizon never existed, what I pursued never was there. So I shall no longer build a tower to see over the horizon, I shall seek elsewhere the possible impossibility. Maybe it''s below..? Ahem... Traps and Sisters Beginnings (Ch. 0) [School of Routes] {Short Story} A long~, long~ time ago, in an age of where the simple was for us, and the complicated for adults, I dreamt of a world of the future painted in black and white. In my dream, I thought I could see reality for what it really was, a lonely existence where one can gaze at many passing people on a parallel line, sometimes impossibly converging into others in a perpendicular line, coming to a mutual understanding, never to cross again and calling that a ''friendship''. At the time of that dream, I understood that if I don''t do the impossible, I won''t ever have what others call, a friendship. And so after my dream of what I resolved to always be the ''future'' that was and is forever a dream, I determined on the first day of my life in school to make what my dreaming self thought was true friends. "Alright! I will make sure to make real friends!" "Ugh... Karen, what are you talking about this early in the morning?" The person who just talked is my twin sister, Alice. As for the person speaking first, referred to as (the brilliant) Karen, is me. Now you may be wondering why the grammar of six years old children is as good, if not better than people in their middle school or high school years, well, it''s because this is a parallel world similar to ours, yet different in many ways. (Also it''s because it''s easier to write that way.)Reading on this site? This novel is published elsewhere. Support the author by seeking out the original. As I turn around towards the bed my sister was sleeping on I reply, "What are you saying, Alice? It''s our first day of school! Obviously, we need to be up early in the morning." "Oh."
