    Neville opened his eyes, feeling a sharp pain in his head. Holding his head, he got up slowly.


    When he finally took in the sight before him, he was completely stunned.


    What he saw was a large open wilderness, full of grass and trees. It was a calm and beautiful place. The wind blew gently through this serene place.


    However, Neville did not have the time to appreciate this nice scenery because he still had no idea where he was right now. This place was completely foreign to him.


    The last thing he remembered was that he was going to the convenience store in the middle night when he heard a loud noise. After that, he couldn¡¯t remember anything else.


    Then, he had suddenly woken up in this strange place which he did not recognize.


    Perhaps this is the Gran Sabana in Venezuela? Neville thought. The open wilderness looked a bit similar to the beautiful savanna he had once seen on TV.


    But even if this was the Gran Sabana, how did he get here? His country and Venezuela were separated by a very, very long distance. Not to mention, what was he even doing here in the first place? He was just a normal otaku who lived his life in a simple manner. From his memories, he could not remember anything about having any relations to Venezuela.


    Also, the fact that this was Venezuela was only a guess made by Neville. There was the possibility that it was an entirely different place.


    Most importantly, why in the heck did he end up in the middle of nowhere, with no sign of civilization?


    Neville groaned, his mind desperately working to find a reasonable answer. However, he couldn¡¯t come up with anything suitable to explain the current situation to himself.


    After a while, he decided that thinking too much about it would not help him. So, he decided to go around this place and explore for a bit.


    The first thing he decided to do was look for some water. He had feeling quite thirsty, ever since he had woken up in this unknown place.


    Neville wandered aimlessly throughout the place looking for a source of water.     However, when Neville finally encountered an animal, he was stunned once again since coming to this new place.


    The animal¡¯s appearance was quite strange. It had the body of a zebra, however it was much larger than a zebra and instead of stripes, its body was covered in armour like a rhinoceros, only the armour was blue in colour. Most importantly, it had a curved horn on its forehead.


    Although, Neville was no zoologist, he was pretty confident that he could recognize at least a few well-known animals in the world. However, seeing this strange creature before his eyes, he was completely at a loss as to what it was. Since when did such an animal exist on Earth?


    Then, Neville suddenly had a thought. What if this place wasn¡¯t Earth? What if he had ended up in another world? As soon as he had such thoughts, he quickly shook them off. That was impossible. This was clearly Earth. It¡¯s just that he hadn¡¯t figured out where exactly on which part of Earth it was.


    He noticed that there were a few more of these strange armoured zebras. Fortunately, they seemed like herbivores. But Neville still hid behind a tree while observing them, just to be safe.


    Neville decided to follow this herd of armoured zebras after a moment of hesitation. He believed that they would lead him to water. It was better than wandering around in a place he was unfamiliar with.


    His guess proved to be right. After secretly following the herd of armoured zebras for a while, they led him to a large pond. Neville was quite delighted when he saw it. Finally, he could quench his thirst.


    He waited for a little while longer, waiting for the armoured zebras to drink and leave first. Then, he would proceed to drink from the pond.


    Ten minutes later, the armoured zebras finished drinking their fill, and then began moving away from the pond slowly one by one. After a few moments they disappeared from Neville¡¯s sight.


    After making sure the coast was clear, Neville sighed in relief and then came out of his hiding place. He kneeled before the pond and scooped up some water with his palms.


    Normally, he would be very hesitant to drink water from an unsanitary water body like this pond. However, he was incredibly thirsty right now, not to mention he had no other alternative in this unknown place. So, without any hesitation, he greedily drank the water to his heart¡¯s content. Surprisingly, he found that the water tasted quite pure and fresh, contrary to his expectations.


    Neville drank for a long time before he was finally satisfied. He also washed his face and hair a bit. Looking at himself in the water¡¯s reflection, he sighed deeply.


    Where was he? What was he supposed to do? Where could he find anyone? Where would he find any food? Numerous thoughts weighed down on his mind.


    Then, he noticed something. When he looked carefully at his reflection again in the water, he noticed that his eyes looked....different.


    Neville saw that instead of his normal brown eyes, there was something completely different. It was purple. Not just his pupils but his entire eye. It was entirely purple in colour. But that was not all. A ripple pattern was spread over his entire eye. It was indeed strange looking.


    However, when Neville saw these new and strange eyes of his, he gasped loudly. Deep shock could be seen on his face.


    This was the third shock he had received today and it was by far the most powerful one.


    That was because he fully recognized these new eyes of his he saw in his reflection.

 Chapter Two

    The Rinnegan. It was one of the three great dojutsu in the world of Naruto, along with the Byakugan and Sharingan. Among the three, the Rinnegan was known as the most powerful and this was no exaggeration, considering the ridiculous might of its Visual Prowess.


    Any individual who wielded the Rinnegan was no ordinary shinobi. Uzumaki Nagato, Uchiha Madara, Uchiha Obito, Uchiha Sasuke and the Sage Of Six Paths. Each one of these characters was a super-level shinobi who had caused an enormous impact in the Naruto world. And it was all because they had the Rinnegan.


    And now, for some reason, out of the blue, Neville also had the Rinnegan.


    What the heck is going on?!


    Why do I have the Rinnegan?!


    Neville was a big fan of the Naruto series. He had read the entire manga, watched the whole anime and played every video game adaption. Furthermore, he had collected all 72 volumes of the manga and had all seasons of the anime series in DVD. He would frequently reread the manga or watch his favourite anime episodes again.


    Therefore, Neville was quite knowledgeable about the world of Naruto. In fact he knew every jutsu, kekkei genkai, tailed beast, weapon, etc., like the palm of his hand. So, when Neville saw his new eyes, he instantly recognized them as the Rinnegan.


    Right now, he was feeling confused, shocked and tired. In fact, he was about to go insane.


    First, he had ended up in this strange and unknown place with no recollection of what happened. Then, he encountered some weird looking animal that he had never seen before in his life. And now, he found out that his eyes looked exactly like the Rinnegan. This was too much for him to take in all at once. Neville lay down on the ground and looked up at the sky.


    Where exactly was he?


    What was he supposed to do?


    Was his Rinnegan real?


    Wait, is this a prank by those punks at my school? Neville suddenly thought. Then, he knew that it couldn¡¯t have been them. If this was a prank, then it was definitely was a huge one. There was no way those self-righteous idiots would spend so much effort just to make fun of him.


    There was still the hope that this place was somewhere on Earth. However, ever since he saw that armoured zebra, Neville, although he tried to convince himself otherwise, could not help but have a huge doubt in his heart about it.


    Which left only one possibility: Neville had been transported to another world. Just like in those Japanese web novels.


    If this was really the case, then Neville feared that his life might not last for long. Back in Earth, he enjoyed reading those ¡®Transported To Another World¡¯ novels. But because he enjoyed reading such types of novels did not mean he wished to experience them himself!

    It just so happened that the Rinnegan was Neville¡¯s most favourite power in Naruto. He knew everything it could do and not do very well. Every ability, advantage and weakness of the Rinnegan was firmly implanted in his mind.


    So, without any hesitation, he immediately proceeded to perform one of the unique abilities of the Rinnegan.


    Looking around he found a large piece of rock a few meters away from him. He decided to make it his target.


    Neville raised his hand towards the large piece of rock, his palm wide open.

    One of the techniques of the Rinnegan¡¯s Deva Path, Bansho Ten¡¯in allowed the user to pull any form of matter towards the user with an extremely powerful force of attraction. It was an unavoidable technique no matter who the target was.

    Was this all a dream?


    Neville scolded himself inside his heart. Why didn¡¯t he think about this before? This was a very big possibility. No, it was the only possibility.


    It seemed that deep down inside his heart, a small part of him had wanted what he had previously thought of being transported to another world to be true. Therefore, he had subconsciously ruled out the possibility of this being a dream at first.


    There was no other explanation. Suddenly ending up in the middle of nowhere, encountering strange creatures and having the Rinnegan, none of it made sense. Thus, the conclusion Neville had come to was that this was nothing but a ridiculous dream conjured up by his otaku mind.


    Now that he realized this sudden fact, he somehow felt disappointed. But he quickly shook off such an emotion immediately. Being transported to another world and suddenly obtaining the power of the Rinnegan. This was something that could only happen in a dream. It was simply naive to think it could actually happen, Neville chided himself.


    ¡°Hmm, this makes a really good plot though.¡± Neville thought. He decided that once he woke up, he would make a web novel about this dream.


    Since he had firmly accepted that this was a dream, Neville¡¯s previous excitement of having the Rinnegan had vanished instantly. Now, he wondered what to do.


    His eyes lit up suddenly and a smile appeared on his face.


    Since this is a dream then I should enjoy myself before I wake up. I have the bloody Rinnegan!


    Neville decided to have some fun. In any case, this was a dream so nothing bad would happen to him.


    ¡°First let me try something.¡± After pondering for a while, Neville decided.


    Neville closed his eyes and held out one of his arms, his palm facing upwards. Then, he began concentrating deeply. A few moments later, a black rod began to slowly protrude from his palm. It continued to grow until it reached the length of Neville¡¯s arm before it finally stopped and detached itself from Neville¡¯s palm.


    Holding the black rod in his hand, Neville smiled. This black rod was none other than a Black Receiver.


    Black Receivers were something only a Rinnegan user could create and use. They allowed the user to transmit chakra to wherever the Black Receivers were.

    Since he now strongly believed that this was a dream, Neville did not feel any fear. Instead he felt quite excited. He decided to indulge himself while he was still in this fantasy dream world. Using his Rinnegan, he would battle against the owner of that mighty roar. Perhaps he might even rescue a beautiful maiden.


    Thinking like this, he immediately began running towards the source of the roars. The Giant Rhino followed him, under Neville¡¯s command, making the ground tremble violently as it moved.


    Neville sprinted excitedly in the direction of the roars. On his way, he passed by various beasts, running in the opposite direction. There were even some ferocious looking creatures, however, at the moment, they completely ignored Neville. It seemed they were very afraid and did not have the time to care for him.


    Finally, he arrived at the place where the terrifying roars were coming from. Even if this was a dream, Neville was still quite shocked when he saw the monstrous beast before his eyes.


    The beast was a gigantic black lion with a white mane. It was as big as a school bus. Each of its legs contained extremely sharp claws that seemed to pierce the earth. It had blood red eyes which looked quite terrifying when combined with its vicious jaws which kept releasing powerful roars.


    Seeing this huge and terrifying black lion, Neville felt a bit scared. But then he quickly reminded himself that this was a dream. There was nothing to be afraid of. And immediately after, his blood began boiling. He would slay this beast with his Rinnegan.


    With a loud shout, Neville rushed towards the black lion. His hand held a black receiver which he had created just now. He wanted to stab the black lion with it.


    The black lion seemed to have only noticed Neville now. With a roar, it shot a violet energy beam from its mouth.


    Neville managed to block the violet beam with his black receiver. However, the force of impact from the violet beam sent him flying back.


    Neville landed a few meters away on the ground with a thud. While he was groaning in the pain, the black lion had suddenly arrived right before him! It then raised one its claws against Neville, intending to slash him with it.


    Immediately, Neville moved out of the way as the sharp claw of the black lion came slashing down upon him. Neville successfully managed to dodge the attack.


    However, the tip of the black lion¡¯s claw managed to graze Neville¡¯s right arm. Although to the black lion it was only a simple graze, to Neville it was like a sword had cut him.


    ¡°Ahhhh!¡± Neville screamed in pain. A deep wound had formed on his right arm and blood began flowing from it immediately.


    Soon, Neville¡¯s right arm was drenched in blood. Droplets of blood fell from it continuously onto the ground.


    Neville gazed at the bloody wound on his arm for some time. He could clearly feel the mind-numbing pain from it. Then, his eyes turned to the huge black lion that was now coming towards him slowly like a predator approaching its prey. Neville could hear its low growling.


    That was when Neville finally realized it.


    He had been wrong.

    To think he would realise that this wasn¡¯t a dream while he was in this situation.


    Neville cursed himself a thousand times for provoking this ferocious beast for no reason. Why did he suddenly try to be some brave warrior?!


    But now was not the time to be feeling regretful. Right now, he had to focus on the dangerous beast that was approaching him.


    His right arm was injured. But he could still move it around for now.

    However, Neville did not give up. He kept sending more and more trees flying towards the black lion. Soon, more than a hundred trees had been used by Neville in his onslaught against the black lion and the surrounding area now looked barren, with fallen trees lying around everywhere. Neville had caused a large scale of deforestation all by himself.


    But the effort was in vain. The collision force from the numerous trees did not seem the black lion¡¯s violet shield in the slightest. What made Neville very angry was the fact that the violet shield of the black lion could seemingly absorb the force of impact of whatever hit it.


    The black lion had not moved an inch from its spot all this time. It stood proudly like a king, looking at Neville with its chilling red eyes.


    But Neville wasn¡¯t scared one bit. Instead he felt even angrier.


    Apparently this foolish beast actually thinks it¡¯s stronger than me, Neville, who possesses the great Rinnegan!


    Neville threw his left hand out. Along with a screeching sound, a powerful repulsive force burst out from his hand.


    ¡°Shinra Tensei!¡±


    The strong repulsive force went towards the direction of the black lion and went through its position like a tide. Under the power of the repulsive force, the violet shield lasted for a moment before it dimmed and disappeared into nothing. The black lion no longer had the protection of the violet shield and was sent flying several meters away, landing on the ground with a huge impact.

    A giant dog with multiple heads, a giant chameleon with a whose tail was actually a snake, a giant ox, a giant panda, a giant crustacean and a giant centipede appeared out of nowhere.


    They were the Animal Path¡¯s summons. Along with the Giant Rhino he had summoned at first and the Giant Drill-Beaked Bird he had recently summoned, he had now summoned all of the Animal Path¡¯s creatures.

    With loud roars, the summoned beasts rushed towards the black lion. Although Neville knew the black lion was more powerful than any of them, he believed that with their numbers they could delay it long enough for him to finish his technique.


    The Giant Drill-Beaked Bird turned around and flew towards the opposite direction on Neville¡¯s command. He needed to put as much distance as he could between the black lion and himself.


    Closing his eyes, he placed his hands vertically upwards, his palms facing each other with a small gap in between. Neville concentrated hard.


    A small white sphere formed in the gap between his palms. The white sphere gradually turned black in colour. Opening his eyes Neville held the small black sphere in his left palm. Then, he lifted his palm up. The black sphere flew up high into the sky. It flew higher and higher until it reached a thousand meters in the sky where it finally stopped.


    Neville made the Giant Drill-Beaked Bird stop flying. Then, he turned towards the direction of the black lion, who was currently fighting against the summoned beasts.


    Then, he clapped his hands together.


    ¡°Chibaku Tensei.¡±

 Chapter Five

    <u>Chapter Five</u>


    The earth trembled.


    The ground broke apart.


    It was as if a catastrophic disaster was about to occur.


    Huge chunks of earth and stone began to slowly flow up towards the sky. Rocks, soil and everything that was a form of matter were being pulled up towards a powerful magnetic force.


    This strong magnetic force came from the small black sphere in the sky.


    Chibaku Tensei. It was a sealing technique of the Rinnegan. The user would create a small black sphere that would act as a gravity core. Then, the black sphere would pull everything in its surroundings towards it to form a heavenly body. The size of the heavenly body would depend on the power and the control of the user.


    Needless to say, Chibaku Tensei was truly a destructive Jutsu. The ground below had already been ruined beyond recognition. No wonder it was also known as ¡®Planetary Devastation¡¯.


    This was Neville¡¯s first time using it so there was no guarantee that it would work perfectly but Neville was confident that he could seal the black lion.


    Under Neville¡¯s clumsy control, the natural satellite began to grow larger and larger. Soon, it grew to the size of a small hill.


    Neville was satisfied at the current rate it was growing. Then, he looked at the black lion.


    The black lion was frantically struggling to escape while being pulled up towards the sky. It jumped from one big piece of rock to another trying to descend towards the ground below but it was to no avail. There were just too many obstacles.


    ¡°Let¡¯s finish this!¡± Neville clasped his hands together and shouted loudly. The energy (chakra obviously) inside his body began to deplete rapidly.


    Suddenly, the gravitational pulling force became incredibly stronger. Before it even knew what was happening, the black lion was sucked in towards the heavenly body.


    The black lion slammed against the surface of the satellite. It realized that it could not move. The gravitational force was too strong.


    Then, several big rocks came crashing towards it at an astonishing speed. The onslaught of rocks completely buried the black lion inside the heavenly body. Even then it did not stop.


    It was only when the Chibaku Tensei became as big as a mountain that Neville stopped the technique. The Chibaku Tensei he had formed was not as big as the one Nagato had made nor was it a spherical shape but rather a cylindrical one.


    Neville fell on his knees, breathing hard. Blood flowed out of his mouth and fell down on the body of the Giant Drill-Beaked Bird in small droplets. He felt completely exhausted.


    Such exhaustion was not unexpected. After all, he had just used a technique that could literally create a small planet.     Lying on the back of the Giant Drill-Beaked Bird, he took a long rest, allowing the energy (chakra obviously) in his body to slowly recover.

    Neville felt a lot better now. Most of the energy (chakra) in his body had already recovered.


    He looked up at the sky. There was a gigantic heavenly body floating up there. Even Neville still couldn¡¯t believe he had created it.


    Now what should I do?


    Neville could faintly sense that the black lion was still alive inside the heavenly body. However, its aura was quite weak. Its power had diminished greatly.


    There were two ways to kill it. The first one was to launch a powerful jutsu to completely destroy the heavenly body along with the black lion. But forget about having such a type of jutsu, he didn¡¯t even know an E-Rank jutsu.


    The second method was to drop the heavenly body on the ground like a meteor. It would certainly kill the black lion. But the problem was that the resulting impact would also kill all the other creatures nearby. And there was also the possibility that some people living nearby or wandering by here.

    Guilt filled Neville¡¯s heart and immediately he made a decision.


    He chose to free the black lion!


    Instantly he stopped the gravitational power of the black sphere. Without its gravity core, the heavenly body would no longer be able to hold itself together.


    The heavenly body shook and crumbled apart in seconds with a rumbling sound. It broke apart into several pieces that landed on the ground, collectively creating a thunderous noise.


    In the midst of the falling rocks and stones, the black lion also fell powerlessly downwards. It seemed as if it was devoid of strength.


    ¡°Shit!¡± Neville cursed. ¡°Go!¡± With his command, the Giant Drill-Beaked Bird swiftly flew towards the black lion. Neville did not know if the giant bird would be able to support the huge lion¡¯s weight but he had to do something. He could not let the black lion fall to its death.


    But suddenly a violet energy shield appeared out of nowhere on the black lion¡¯s body.


    Neville knew what it was and immediately stopped in his tracks. There was no need for him to intervene anymore, he realised.


    ¡°Looks like it still has some strength left.¡±


    With a crashing sound, the black lion fell hard on the ground, creating a large smoke of dust. When the dust cleared, it was standing there breathing heavily.


    Although it was quite weak and tired at the moment, Neville could not see any serious injuries on its body. He sighed in relief.


    Then the black lion looked at Neville. Neville also looked at the black lion. The two gazed at each other for a long time.


    Finally, the black lion gave a powerful roar towards Neville. Then it turned around and dashed away. Its figure soon disappeared into the distance.


    Neville smiled. ¡°Perhaps we¡¯ll meet again one day.¡±


    After a while, Neville made the Giant Drill-Beaked Bird flow down on the surface. Then he got off its back and sent it back to wherever it came from.

    As Neville slowly began to regain consciousness, he realized he was no longer in the wide open grasslands.


    What greeted his sight was a simple thatched roof. Looking around he found out that he was inside a house.


    He had been lying on a mat with a blanket draped over his body. Looking at his right arm, Neville found that it was wrapped in white cloth.


    Clearly, someone had found him unconscious in the open wilderness and taking pity on him had brought him here. The person had even tended to his injury.


    Neville was immensely grateful. Who knew what would have happened if he had continued to stay unconscious and lose blood in the middle of nowhere. He owed his life to the person who rescued him.


    Just then the sound of a door opening was heard. Neville immediately turned his head.


    ¡°Ah, I see that you have awakened? How are you feeling?¡± said a sweet voice.


    Neville was completely stunned.


    An extremely beautiful woman had just come through the door. She had long black hair and bright purple eyes. Her face just looked so pure and gentle. She was truly a celestial beauty in Neville¡¯s eyes.


    The woman came and sat down before him. With a gorgeous smile, she asked again, ¡°Are you feeling well?¡±


    Neville could not find his voice to reply. Such a beautiful woman was so close to him. He had never experienced such a wonderful feeling before. But at the same time he was feeling incredibly shy and nervous.

    According to Anna, most of the people in the Magic Continent had the ability to use special powers. These powers ranged from boosting one¡¯s physical abilities or using magic spells. Those who could use such powers mainly joined the military of their country or became independent adventurers.

    Anna replied, ¡°With a special type of energy known as mana.  Everyone has it, even if it¡¯s just a little amount. Though I don¡¯t know if the place you came from has it too, I¡¯m quite certain that Sir Neville has it. Otherwise, it would be impossible for you to be so powerful.¡±


    ¡°Mana?¡± Neville thought. Could this mana be similar to chakra?


    ¡°Anna, you have mana too right?¡± Neville suddenly asked.


    ¡°Yes, of course! I told you before, I am a former swordswoman!¡± Anna spoke proudly. ¡°Swordsmen use mana to raise their strength and speed just like berserkers and fighters. However, swordsmen can also infuse mana into their swords to use powerful sword techniques!¡±

    Anna¡¯s house was located in a forest called Greenspring which was right next to the town of Ivanore. The town was located near the southern border of the Azure Kingdom, which was the closest place to the Thiessa Kingdom.


    Ivanore Town was ruled by a Duke named Gacin. It was a rich and prosperous place.


    He also learned that Anna was an herbalist. She would plant various types of rare herbs in her garden and would sell them at the town. This was how she earned a livelihood.


    Another piece of information, which particularly made Neville excited was that there were Guilds in the town!


    According to Anna, Adventurer Guilds, Mercenary Guilds and Assassin Guilds were established in almost every town and city in the Magic Continent. Adventurers, mercenaries and assassins were risky but profitable professions.


    Adventurers had great reputations too although they were paid less than mercenaries and assassins. Mercenaries were seen as people who would do anything for money. Assassins were feared by everyone and they also had the highest pay.


    Neville was pleasantly surprised to know of the existence of Guilds in this world. He had always fantasized about becoming one of the three and becoming a well known individual. It seemed as if this fantasy of his was no longer impossible.


    As for which of the three he would choose, it was obviously mercenary. The reason was simple: he loved money and wanted lots of it in a short amount of time.


    ¡°Anna, how does one become a mercenary here?¡± Neville inquired.


    ¡°It¡¯s very simple. You just go to the Mercenary Guild and register yourself. That¡¯s about it. Sir Neville, don¡¯t tell me you wish to become a mercenary?¡± Anna had a bewildered expression on his face.


    ¡°That¡¯s the plan.¡±


    ¡°But, Sir Neville.¡± Anna protested. ¡°With your talent, shouldn¡¯t you become an adventurer instead? Although the rewards for an adventurer are less in the beginning, as long as you do well, your reputation will surely spread in the continent. I believe with Sir Neville¡¯s power that you can surely achieve such a feat.¡±


    Neville smiled. ¡°Anna, thank you for your praise. But still I wish to become a mercenary. Also, I never planned to stand out greatly from the beginning.¡±

Maybe it was not a Tailed Beast level amount but his chakra reserves were definitely above average.


    And since he had chakra then this meant he could use jutsus!


    Neville was quite delighted when he realised this. What made him even happier was that he had the Rinnegan which was said to be able to master any type of jutsu and shorten the time required to learn it.


    With the Rinnegan, he could even master all five Nature Transformations easily.

    Then he brought his hands together.
