 Beginnings

    My name is Hiro, I am only just a normal high schooler. I am only in my first year in high school.Reality could be harsh sometimes. Sometimes all the depression, all the stress could bring us down.


    But as I log into the newest game that I got recently. Diving into the virtual reality game that I have been waiting for so long. In this world I feel alive, in this world I feel like I could do anything.


    You could say that I am a loner who just plays games and have no life, I would say that you aren¡¯t wrong.This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source.


    The beta testers says that this game run truely smooth just like in reality, but lately I¡¯ve been hearing it¡¯s running even smoother than the reality we are living in. And I hope that they are not exaggerating for this is my chance of escaping this harsh reality.


    The name of this game is World of Kings. In this world everything is possible, just like in fantasy rpg games there are dragons and fairies and such, the only difference is that in this game there is martial arts. Which most fantasy rpg do not put into use.


    Laying on my bed I thought to myself, well here goes nothing. I put the head piece of the machine over my eyes.


    Hiro: ¡°Game start.¡±


    System: ¡°Identifying user.¡±


    Hiro: ¡°Hiro Kusanagi¡±


    System: ¡°Identifying password.¡±


    Hiro: ¡°????????¡±

 City of Startings

    As I log into the game there was an option on the bottom right corner and I pressed it.


    System: ¡°Would you like to change your username?¡±


    I for one didn¡¯t like too much attention from people at my school who may be playing the game so I decided to change my username.


    Hiro: ¡°Yes.¡±


    System: ¡°What would you like your new username to be?¡±


    Hiro: ¡°Kuro.¡±


    I basically just combined my last name with my first name the Ro from Hiro and the Ku from Kusanagi. Together they combined to be Kuro.


    After everything was sorted out I was dropped into the place everyone calls city of startings. It was very vast and huge but just like what you would see from a starting city there¡¯s not much to the stalls and markets for the players who have logged in before I did have grind and moved onto higher level cities.If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen.     Most people usually play these sort of games with a group of friends so they might have an easier time grinding, but they advantage of being a loner like me is, no share in experience points.


    So the rumors weren¡¯t wrong after all, this game does run truely smooth without and problem.


    After checking my inventory, I wasn¡¯t very surprised for there weren¡¯t anything in there. Not a single equipment or gold.


    I decided to move out and grind some monsters and get used to the combact not to mention the mechanics of the game.


    As I got outside of the city I saw a lone slime a couple meter away from me. I launched myself and charged at the slime the slime suddenly detected me and shot a slime ball at me. I was very surprised for in most action games slimes do not attack at all.


    Dodging the slime ball was fairly easy. The slime ball was extremely slow. After the evasion I kicked the slime with everything I had and it seems to have taken quite the damage from it so I decided to finish the slime with another kick.


    The last kick I gave the slime seems to have killed it. Though it was quite easy I was still out of breathe.


    Kuro: ¡°This is actually harder than it seems.¡±


    System: ¡°Congratulations, you have leveled up to level 2.¡±


    Kuro: ¡°I guess I should not put points into my stats until I decide what class I want to be.¡±


    Seems like the slimes weren¡¯t cutting it anymore so I decided to move out further from the city.

 The Weapon Shall Be

    System: ¡°Congratulations, you have leveled up to level 3.¡±


    Kuro: ¡°Hm, two more levels until I can choose a class, yet I have not decide which class I will be.¡±


    feeling troubled I decided to not stress about it until I reach the level.


    Though the goblins I just killed were only level 2 they were kind of a hassle, because they like to travel in group so it wasn¡¯t like a one versus one where I didn¡¯t have to watch my back. And these goblins are very tactical they set up traps and ambush you if you aren¡¯t aware of your surroundings.A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.


    Kuro: ¡°Since I¡¯m already higher in level than these goblins I guess I¡¯ll go even further from the city.¡±


    Soon I saw some wolves, they turned out to be level 3 so I decided to kill some of them and hope it gets me to level 4 quick.


    I charged at the wolf who is alone and kicked one of his foot. While the wolf was stumbling I went straight for the head and did a critical hit and it died.


    System: ¡°Hidden quest completed(slay a lone wolf by yourself), please choose your weapon of preference.¡±


    After giving it some thought I finally decided.


    Kuro: ¡°Katana¡±


    System:¡±Reward given(katana of the lone wolf).


    Kuro: ¡°Guess I better start wearing this instead of fighting monsters without a weapon.


    After equipping the katana I went on and hunt more wolves but strangely all the wolves I could find was in a pack and never alone, I guess the quiz I completed really was hidden.

 Meeting You

    After reaching level 5 from killing the wolves. I didn¡¯t moved further on because the wolves gave fairly good experience.


    But since I reached level 5 I wanted to go back and pick my class and finally add my stats points accordingly to what my class is.


    Heading back was pretty simple I just had to go back the way I came and I won¡¯t take any aggro from the monsters because my level is higher than all of them.


    When I got back to the City of Startings, I went to the armory to look for something to wear because I still am only in my default clothes. When I entered I was surprised to see an actual player. He was selling equipment like heavy armor, light armor, and robes. I really didnt like the idea of being a front line tanker with a shield, I prefer being the one dealing a lot of damage and having quick movements to avoid attacks.


    Blake: ¡°Welcome, I¡¯m Blake and what are you looking for today?¡±


    Kuro: ¡°I would like to buy a set of light armor.¡±


    Blake: ¡°I just got this new set of light armor it¡¯s called the (swift shadow), and you also need to be level 5 to wear this.¡±


    Kuro: ¡°Yes, I¡¯d like to buy that light armor.¡±Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings.


    Blake: ¡°Okay, it will cost 500 gold for the whole set.¡±


    Kuro: ¡°No problem.¡±


    Good thing I sold all those materials I got from grinding so much, especially those fangs from the wolves. In total I have 1,000 gold from just that.


    Blake: ¡°Thank you for your purchase, please come again.¡±


    After all that was finished I instantly changed into the light armor(swift shadow).


    Leaving the armory I found myself faced to faced with a girl that have long white hair. She seems to be a little shorter than me and about my age. The strange girl seems to be very mad for some reason.


    ?: ¡°Hey you!¡±


    Kuro: ¡°Me?¡±


    ?: ¡°Yes you, who else is in this dump.¡±


    Kuro: ¡°Okay? What do you want from me?¡±


    ?: ¡°Let¡¯s have a duel, how about it. This place is very boring.¡±


    Kuro: ¡°Why would I want to have a duel with you?¡±


    ?: ¡°Because I said so, obviously.¡±


    Kuro: ¡°Why would I have a duel with someone who I don¡¯t even know their name.¡±


    Orochi: ¡°Ugh! Fine, my name is Orochi.¡±


    Sigh, this girl just does whatever she wants. I still have no reason to have a duel with her so. I guess, I¡¯ll just leave. I don¡¯t have the time anyways, I gotta get to school.


    Kuro: ¡°You see, I don¡¯t have the time I really have to get going.¡±


    Orochi: ¡°Oh yeah?¡±


    She suddenly pulls out her sword and got into a fighting stance. I didn¡¯t really wanna fight her so I decided to flee.


    I hope I shook her off because I really gotta go to school soon.


    Orochi: ¡°Hey! Where did you go?¡±


    I guess I really did get away from her. Ugh, girls are too dangerous. I need to be careful around them.


    Guess I¡¯ll log out here since I gotta hurry up and get to school. I don¡¯t wanna be late on my first day.

 The Name Is Orochi Yamato

    After logging out I woke up to myself, laying on my bed. Face palming my self I took off the the head piece from my head and took a deep breathe to a new start of a new school year.


    After getting ready for school I grabbed my bamboo sword which I always carry with me when I go out of my house, and dragged myself out of my house. When I finally got out, I saw many students walking to school with friends and laughing.


    One would say that I envy them, but I don¡¯t mind being alone because all I need is putting my headphones on and listen to some music, not some friends who pry into my business.


    I went to the auditorium because there was going to be a welcome ceremony. Though everyone was sitting with their friends I basically stood at the back in a corner and just wait until the event was over.


    The teachers wouldn¡¯t allow us to put earphones on so I was basically forced to listen.


    When the principle was done talking we class president came in. Every one was in silence because of her elegancy. She walked elegantly to the mic. The class president seemed familiar.


    Orochi: ¡°Good morning everyone, my name is Orochi Yamato your class president.¡±


    She went on and talk about her and told us to try our best these following years.


    After the welcome ceremony I went straight to my class which is social studies, my second is art studios, third is physics, fourth is algebra 2, fifth is English 3, and sixth period is Japanese 1. I was the first one to be there and my teacher seemed surprised because I guess he wasn¡¯t expecting someone to come to class so early.     When first period came around, everybody started to come to class. My first period seems to be very energetic, mostly everyone seems talkative and kind.


    But obviously there¡¯s always gonna be one of those school bully in the room, and I¡¯m specifically talking about one person. His name is Goro, his group of friends usually don¡¯t do anything much if he isn¡¯t here. Goro finally decided to act now because the teacher went out for some reason.


    Goro: ¡°So, lonely Hiro is alone by himself again, oh I forgot you have your bamboo sword with you hahahah.¡±


    Hiro: ¡°Atleast I¡¯m not fake, oh and try to come up with new lines that same ones getting dry.¡±


    Goro: ¡°Hey!¡±


    I wasn¡¯t even surprised about him grabbing onto me clenching his fist.


    Just as I thought I gonna get a taste of Goro¡¯s wrath I heard a girl¡¯s voice.


    Orochi: ¡°Do men always gotta be such brutes, I really don¡¯t get you guys.¡±


    Goro: ¡°What?¡±


    Orochi then started saying stuff and criticizing Goro until he got embarrassed and let go of me. He then walked nervously back to his desk.


    Orochi: ¡°You should of protected yourself.¡±


    Hiro: ¡°Eh, he¡¯s just come back later with more trouble, ignore him and he¡¯ll go away.¡±


    Orochi: ¡°Really now, hm I like your way of thinking.¡±


    She then grinned at me and sat on the desk next to me. At this point I¡¯m sure that she doesn¡¯t remember our meeting in World of Kings.


    Orochi: ¡°Hey, my names Orochi Yamato by the way.¡±


    Hiro: ¡°Yeah, I know that already.¡±


    Orochi: ¡°Oh really.¡±


    Hiro: ¡°Why are you even surprised, your the class president that gave a speech in the morning.¡±


    Orochi: ¡°I was curious, why do you carry a bamboo sword inside that bamboo stick pouch around with you? Is it some sort of tradition?¡±


    Hiro: ¡°No, I carry this bamboo sword inside this bamboo stick pouch around me when I go out of my house because I am a klutz, without the bamboo sword I would be tripping and failing at everything I do.¡±


    Orochi: ¡°Why is that?¡±


    Hiro: ¡°You really like prying huh?¡±


    Orochi: ¡°Fine fine I just got carried away because you were so interesting.¡±


    After we talked the teacher came back and class started.
