《A Toaster Story》
Prolog: How to kill a freshman!
Dorm rooms, the filth of the modern world. Where else could you find a sock that was so infused with a piece of pizza that many people would almost register it as a living being. Considering the amount of mold it just might be considered plant life. It lived its solitary life under weak old beer cans that were providing it with the nutrients for growth, luckily as a mold it didn¡¯t need much of any sunlight as it was under a man¡¯s bed.
Loud noises were heard coming from the hallway to this room, where people were screaming before a man ran into the dorm room exclusively reserved to a man named Mark ¡®The Man¡¯. This man was not Mark, and judging by his pale face, and shivering legs he wouldn¡¯t be granted the title of ¡®The Man¡¯ under any circumstances either. The college student stacked a bunch of furniture against the door in an attempt to keep out whatever was outside. His stumbling to find a hiding place found him next to the living organism that was previously known as pizza.
The college student almost puked at the stench and abandoned the safety of the couch in a hurried manner. This lead him to the back where the small sudo kitchen was, basically some dirty pans an electric grill, about 30 empty boxes that once held pizza, and up high an abandoned toaster with a smiley face sticker on it, and this would be important for later, two pieces of burnt bread sticking out of it.
The barrier tumbled as the college student backed up against the cabinet in the back of the room. The door burst open making the college student slam against the cabinet shake, the toaster at the top shook before falling onto the college student¡¯s head. With an unfortunate turn of events for the college student this made him slip on a pile of old beer on the ground and slam his head into the marble counter killing him instantly.
A blue screen appeared before the toaster:

The toaster¡¯s handles started to twist and extend turning into weird horns that looked like a demon, the smiley face sticker turning red and a mustache appearing above its mouth. Flames started to appear around the toaster before it started floating up off the ground.
Curiously it looked around, even with its new low intellect it was still a vast improvement to the 0 it had before. New questions appeared to the toaster it had never thought of before like, what is this dangly cord for coming out of me, why is everyone screaming, and what the hell is that thing?
A creature looking like a human but rotting and twisted features roars at the toaster having lost its prey. The toaster even with its small intellect knew that this creature was a threat and pulled down its horns aiming the only skill it knew, ¡®Toast Launch¡¯. As the zombie rushed forward a ding was heard as the toast flew at the zombie¡¯s head exploding into flaming bread and zombie parts.
¡®Holy shit!¡¯ The toaster used profanity that his human roommates used to use during occasions like this in its mind, and bounced around happily in the air. ¡®This is fun¡¯ was his next thought as he noticed that the flames which had hit the ground weren¡¯t going away.
Panicking the toaster shot out flaming toast at the fire trying to put it out, only making things worse. Not knowing what to do he flew out the door shutting it behind him. ¡®The door should keep the fire away.¡¯ The toaster thought as it looked at the door with a sense of forlorn, this was his home but he was leaving it. He had spent his whole sentient life within that room, luckily that was only a few moments so by the time smoke started coming from the bottom of the door he was already over the feelings of loss.
Chapter 1: A Hero for a different reason.
Screaming, that is usually ones call into the world. The first thing that they officially say to everyone around you, saying ¡°I¡¯m alive, I¡¯m finally alive.¡± This was the same for the monsters in Sunflower Community College, a place where dreams die under piles of debt.
A two headed goblin was running through the bio lab, with what looked to be a frog as a weapon students running away screaming in terror. A brave one used a broken mop handle to impale it while his classmates and friends pushed him to the ground hoping he¡¯d stop the oncoming wave of monsters behind the goblin.
With his arms shaking he stood his ground, two orcs busting out of a classroom to see the boy covered in light. He had gained a class, his mop handle becoming a spear, and his clothes getting covered in leather armor. Scenes like this were happening all around the campus, humans raising weapons against the beasts and gaining classes.
Only one in every ten college students would survive that night, and only half of them gaining classes. A handful of them had a very different encounter.
A group of people had woken up late, and by a stroke of luck they weren¡¯t murdered in their sleep. Jason, one of the few people who actually cared enough about the newsletters to write about it was one of them. Also probably the only one who didn¡¯t have a hangover, as his roommate was the one who had set up and participated in the party.
¡°Man, people must have gotten really wasted last night. Seems like shit got way out of hand..¡± One of the party goers exclaimed seeing the area outside the room. There was stuff everywhere, clothes in piles, football gear and wooden sticks broken all around.
Two others came over to the door, one of them putting on their shirt after noticing Jason grab a shot with his camera. He looked embarrassed but the red headed woman just winked at him and headed outside.
The red head looked around for a moment then crossed her arms looking back, ¡°Damn, I remember most of last night and there¡¯s no way that bitch of a monitor would have let this happen.¡± She started walking to the monitor¡¯s room to get an explanation and a scream was heard not a minute latter.
Being the alphas they were, all the men, four of them if you include Jason, left the dingey room heading out to where the scream was. The two other women followed, the last one being Jason. The redhead, was on the ground sobbing as she covered her eyes not wanting to see the scene before her. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
One of the guys turned into the monitor¡¯s room, his response was a quick back step and, ¡°Holy fuck dude, what is that?¡± A scarecrow was tenderly caressing a young woman¡¯s body wrapped in rags. It¡¯s head was made out of a pumpkin, it¡¯s body filled with straw, and a strange black wisp seemed to come out of its mouth, like smoke but much thicker. When it saw the man the grin of the pumpkin turned into a frown as he rushed forward.
No one was expecting a thing and only the first guy knew it was coming at him, but fear made him lock up. Suddenly the scarecrow burst from the room and everyone quickly backed away as the guy up front had his head bashed against the wall making a wet cracking sound. For some reason all Jason could think of was an egg as he saw the blood drip down from the guy¡¯s face and ears.
As the men, and women screamed Jason stood there in a daze watching as the scarecrow continued to pound and bite into his roommate and people he knew.
Soon it was just him and the woman, when the scarecrow looked at Jason, he knew he was done for. He didn¡¯t know why, but this thing only brutally killed men. As it reached out it¡¯s glove covered hand suddenly it let out a shriek making Jason fall to the ground.
It¡¯s upper body burst into flames, it¡¯s face twisting into a pained twisted, yet silent horror as it¡¯s body was consumed. Soon all that was left was a pumpkin and burned up clothes. Floating behind it was a toaster with horns, a devilish grin posted in the side facing them in the form of a sticker.
Suddenly bread shot out of the top of it again taking down the two woman that started to run before it floated to the crying redhead and Jason. For some odd reason the toaster started flying up and down and around them before flying off past them.
¡®Level up, level up~¡¯ The toaster sung in its mind as it happily bobbed down the hallway. It had already lost interest in the two humans on the floor noticing the monsters around the building gave him more points toward leveling.
He now understood why his roommates enjoyed playing video games so much as he sat on his throne above everything else. There was a set goal now though he couldn¡¯t forget, he needed to find Mike, he was the toaster¡¯s owner so he felt some responsibility for him.
The toaster had seen the television shows before, he knew of this affection, it was like a man and his dog. Right now the toaster needed his pet by his side, he was worried that it might get hurt or even worse get used like his buzzy friend that Mike¡¯s girlfriend uses. These monsters were usually dirty looking things like zombies so he couldn¡¯t let them defile his cute human.
As a sort of side quest for himself he would try and save buzzy too, he was a cute little guy that was always well polished. He needed to know what his secret was, there was slight rust in some hard to reach spots.
The toaster always thought it made him look more distinguished.
Chapter 2: The Rules of Pinball
The toaster started to sulk, after checking around in the nearest places he heard humans. Saving a few because he confused them as Mike, then actively ignoring them. The more it thought about it the more it realized he had no idea what Mike looked like. What the toaster knew was that he didn¡¯t have fat in his chest, he had blonde hair, but he kept changing his skin, and skin color shedding on the ground every day.
Getting bored with this impossible hunt the toaster floated in a corner trying to train it¡¯s new skill, mana manipulation, bringing up the the table the toaster mentally grumbled. Most of its skills seemed to be insulting, and it didn¡¯t know why the system didn¡¯t like it.
|
Skill Learned: Mana Manipulation
|
|
The ability to move and use mana in very basic ways. As a creature that uses mana to fly you would think that this would be a skill you¡¯d pick up immediately.
|
The toaster could tell that the system was taunting it, but it wasn¡¯t like he could insult it back. So the toaster just started using Mana Manipulation in the corner of one of the hallways, pushing a zombie over onto its ass every time it got up.
Two zombies were watching him push over the other zombie, mildly interested in it before they turned to each other and started to physically push each other over. The two zombies slowly moved into something that could be considered grappling before one of them finally ripped out the other¡¯s neck.
This made the toaster move a bit further away from the zombie now eating its comrade, he could tell some how that the zombie must have leveled up. The other monsters really don¡¯t seem to mind much about the toaster¡¯s prescience, but he knew if they were any smarter they¡¯d of attacked him by now.
Mana manipulation raised to level five before anything changed around him. The zombie staring at him like some sort of anomaly raising its hands in front of it. It seemed like the zombie was trying to manipulate mana like he was, it was then a subtle breeze went along the toaster¡¯s back.

Skill Learned: Teacher
|
|
It looks like you can teach others in one of the most brute force ways possible, repeating an action in front of them until they grasp it.
|
The notification confused the toaster for a second,¡®I don¡¯t remember trying to teach anyone anything..¡¯ The zombie on the other hand was letting out small puffs of mana infused air around everywhere, toppling over things on the tables sporadically in the hallway. Then something happened that the toaster had never thought of, the zombie gathered a bunch of mana blowing the table away.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website.
¡®Why¡ didn¡¯t I think of that?¡¯ The toaster thought, with a jealous look at the zombie. Now that the zombie had leveled, it would probably give it more points towards his next level. Pointing its horns at the zombie it charged up mana below it until the air behind the toaster was rippling from the magical power. The zombie curious looked back at the toaster, a look of shock and betrayal came over the zombie¡¯s face.

The title popping up out of the middle of nowhere made the toaster release the mana a bit prematurely, sending it flying off into the distance missing the zombie. Crashing into its first wall, the toaster knew this wouldn¡¯t be the last as it crumbled before his speed. Without thinking, it used mana to cover its body like a hardened shell as it bounced around.

The blue screen went away rather quickly as it smashed through a dorm room, finding a sizzling end in a bed. Grime was all along to body, it had run into a bunch of squishy things on its travels, netting two more levels.

Using its mana like this though, the toaster came up with ideas to use the mana manipulation as a weapon. With the mana shield this well as the powerful blast it has just learned it could reasonably call itself a cannon ball. Though it didn¡¯t know the limits of its mana at least yet, as it¡¯s only been about two hours since it became alive.
Forcing the shield forward off of its body the shield moved forward creating a bubble in the middle of the air. A goblin coming around the corner looked up at the bubble and took out its sword in confusion, it didn¡¯t see any humans and it had only seen skills like this from humans. Using the same mechanics that it used to shoot itself forward the toaster shot the mana shield at the goblin. With a crunch the goblin started bouncing around like the toaster did when it used the skill on itself.
After two hits to the wall, the goblin ended up dead and messages started coming up for the toaster. Apparently using the mana manipulation in different ways raised the levels drastically. Also skills seem to be able to evolve! As mana manipulation evolved into Mana Control.
Chapter 3: In a Burning Ring of Fire
It wasn¡¯t seconds after the toaster descended the fourth floor to the third that he regretted it. Seeing a new enemy he blew it up with a flaming piece of toast. The little creature laughed at him as the flames spread, wiggling it¡¯s big nose and giant hat at the Toaster. It¡¯s wiggling movements made it clear that the toaster had accidentally hit a chair instead of the gnome as it laughed heavily at it.
Glaring at the new creature an infuriated toot came from the toaster¡¯s slots from high heat broiling up inside of him. This was the first time the toaster had ever been angry, so it couldn¡¯t fully control its emotions.
Gnomes, many people don¡¯t understand the horror of their existence. The old men and women of the earth, many people thought them to be a pest at one point in their culture. Gnome and rat catchers believing themselves to have the same job, neither one of them thinking the other¡¯s prey was more crafty. Soon the gnomes proved to be the more crafty as no one has seen one for hundreds of years.
Born like a dried turnip, they all looked like they were at the ugly stage of life big noses full of hair taking up most of their face, squinty, shifty eyes, covered by thick robust eyebrows. Standing at only two feet tall it was impossible to look at them directly without cringing if you had any sense of beauty.
Sadly this is where the Toaster¡¯s journey took it, the floor below Mike¡¯s dorm room was infested with these creatures. Which was strange since they never liked being off the ground, and this definitely wasn¡¯t the bottom floor.
Toast kept hitting the walls only to hit into cabinets and random things sprawled around the hallways. This was causing a worse situation than upstairs but these things creeped the Toaster out. It was their hats, their hats just didn¡¯t look right. They were like little metronomes that kept his vision ticking with them.
With the sticker¡¯s eyes flicking back and forth, the land was becoming a portrait of hell, flames sprawling out of the walls, the floors, and still spewing from the toaster.

|
¡®Hahaha¡¯ Crazy laugher spread through the toaster¡¯s head as the flaming toast at the gnomes more. More laughing gnomes taunted the toaster as they skipped about, the toaster hissing slowly like an exasperated sigh. ¡®I guess level one isn¡¯t good enough to take out these gnomes.¡¯
Shooting a few half hearted toasts at the gnomes, he started floating slowly to the end of the hallway. A series of ¡®Boos¡¯ coming from behind the toaster, taking a glance back he saw many gnomes shoving their thumbs down at it.
Floating there for a moment the toaster suddenly turned around. ¡®One¡ more¡¡¯ Using mana control and the shield he shielded two pieces of toast, using mana control to move the wind to feed the flames. It had learned two things from his first arch rival before the gnomes, flames eat wind, and when you starve them¡
Sealing off the shield the the toaster used a second shield to make air go into the second shield hurriedly so the fire didn¡¯t go out. Spinning around the air, and condensing it several times until the flame was nearly starved. Tossing the shield at the gnome in the middle of them all he let it rocket forward hitting the ground before dispersing both shields.
The resulting explosion deafened the gnomes that weren¡¯t engulfed in the flames, running for their dear lives. They hadn¡¯t expected the toaster to come up with such extreme measures against them, leading a few of them to their door.
The toaster was satisfied now, it was petty, but who could blame it since it was only a few hours old. Making whistling noises with its new found ability of heating air into high pitched whistles it floated off smugly.

Skill Gained: Fireball - Toaster Style
|
|
Through the use of common sense¡ you¡¯ve blown up some gnomes making what can be called a ¡®Fireball¡¯ spell. Though any wizard would argue that your method is probably the worst way to cast said spell.
|
¡®Eh?¡¯ The toaster paused, then continued on ignoring the menu that popped up in front of it. It got the job done that was all that mattered right?
Plus the toaster knew that if the gnomes stayed up there, they would die by his flames eventually. It was waiting for the free levels that would come from that, though he still hadn¡¯t gotten any from the previous floor and he knew that that place was burning much brighter.
¡®Maybe the flames get the levels, and that¡¯s how they spread.¡¯ The toaster mused, a bit annoyed it hadn¡¯t gotten another evolution yet. It seemed like his first evolution was a rare thing, that didn¡¯t come up all the time like he first thought.
Floating down the steps to the second floor the toaster felt something off. First of all there was a large gate where the stairs should continue down, and secondly there was a lot more energy in the air than usual. Humans may not be aware, but categorized as a monster it could feel the change in the mana in the environment. It sustained something for monsters allowing them to not hunger, or be injured for long in areas of high mana.
This was where the toaster would sit for a little while, he had memories of Mike playing on the computer down below. It needed a party to keep going on from this point¡ at least someone with a pair of hands, and arms.

It didn¡¯t take the toaster long to realize some mistakes that it had been doing. The fact that it didn¡¯t assign stat points was a very big mistake on its part, luckily from its titles it kept becoming a better magician. The toaster didn¡¯t know the upper limits of its magic yet, and had yet to experiment to see if it could ever run out. Though now didn¡¯t seem the time as it was still in hostile territory.
The toaster needed something, some way to open doors like these other than smashing its face into the door until it opened. Which it doubted would work on the doors now considering their size, and trying to melt them down also didn¡¯t seem to work from its experience.
Stolen story; please report.
It thought back to the skeleton for a moment, it was what humans had in them when you used enough heat on them to melt off their flesh. Maybe animating objects would follow the same logic, pour mana into them and use mana control to control the bodies. Nothing that would be a suitable body was close though so it went through its options. It already knew how to make stuff with mana maybe that could suffice for a body.
Luckily it knew a lot about dolls like this as Mike was an art major, so those posing dolls were all over the place. The toaster just had to make the doll bigger, size shouldn¡¯t be an issue as long as function stayed the same. Making orbs of mana to start off it started working on the various parts of the doll.
After the mana had been worked into the pieces of the doll, the toaster started to pop all the ball joints together. Not sure exactly why these models had so many moving parts, but it hoped that a skill would come of this so it could start to refine this task down.

You sly dog you, creating your own girlfriend from mana? Learned how to create more than just a simple rag doll.
|
|
Skill Gained: Mana Crafting
|
|
Form and function, you have created a way to mold mana into different shapes!
|
The Toaster looked at the skills gained a bit confused, didn¡¯t the doll making skip a step by going to intermediate? Maybe it was because the doll it made was a bit complex compared to other dolls, but it had never seen other dolls before. Choosing to ignore questions it can¡¯t ask, it turned back to the doll, pouring mana into the hollow areas and trying to animate it.
Luckily mana understands intent, it wasn¡¯t like it would create something from nothing, or turn ice into fire at your whim it just sometimes helped out. Mostly by changing what type of mana it was, in this case it changed to the mana of life. Breathing new life into things is hard though, that¡¯s the reason that summons will be a lot more common later than golems, since they need to have a way to produce mana.
Either way, the toaster got its wish two ways. First, it had created a golem it was now looking at the toaster with curiosity. Secondly it had found out what happens when it runs out of mana, as the toaster fell to the floor passing out.
The Toaster woke up to its golem sitting down with a few humans, playing with some small strips of paper in its hand. The rest of the group seemed to have the same papers in their hands as they talked. A blue box was in front of it, reading, then dismissing the box it focused its attention on the group. Apparently it¡¯s stealth leveled up to level 15 while it was sleeping.
¡°So your master should be here soon?¡± One of the humans asked, adjusting the helm that he had gotten from a goblin. Their heads were surprisingly big for their size.
¡°Yes, should be soon. He is just taking a nap, ran out of mana creating me.¡± The golem threw down some cards and the others groaned, the golem gathering a bunch of gold coins while laughing.
The toaster found this interesting and floated up behind the golem. The humans jumping back and grabbing their weapons, the golem waving its hand, ¡°Don¡¯t worry, that¡¯s my master.¡±
¡°But that¡¯s a monster!¡±
¡°Never said he wasn¡¯t, but if you want help through the boss room I¡¯d take his help since none of you are mages.¡± The golem put the gold coins into its chest since it was hollow, though everyone could see them as his mana was see through.
The humans considered this, as the toaster assigned its stat points. A blue window popping up in the process.

The toaster surprised by the blue box read through it. As much as it loved floating around it needed arms in the case it was faced with doors once more. Golems has arms as far as it could tell, so it went with that option.
It started to shine, its chassis opening up as wires went everywhere thickening until they were like tentacles. The metal outside started to thicken as it spread out making the toaster look like a big toaster with tentacles waving out of its holes. It¡¯s horns turned from their hardened plastic to a metal as well.
Wiggling around its new tentacles the toaster was disappointed, firstly it was not even a quarter of the size of the golem it made, it also only had these dangly things instead of arms. It made angry toots before cursing, ¡°Damn it!¡±
Everything paused for a moment, before everyone noticed the last change of the toaster. The sticker on the front was now moving around, the sound seemed to have come from it.
¡°Did.. that toaster just talk?¡± One of the humans asked, this one was a top heavy one.
Oh it had so many questions now that it could ask! ¡°Why are you top heavy human? Why do you have such small heads, goblins have really big ones? And by the gods, how do I get arms?!¡± The tentacles grabbed the top heavy one and nearly yelled the last question.
The top heavy human stuttered as she was being yelled at, tears starting to form in her eyes, ¡°I¡¯m a woman, t-that¡¯s why I¡¯m top heavy.¡± She was stuttering but she still managed to yell at the toaster.
¡°Oh? Does that make me a male toaster?¡± It wasn¡¯t top heavy, so it made sense.
¡°I¡¯ve seen this hentai before,¡± One of the other male humans mentioned, his fingers tracing the hilt of his sword.
¡°Um.. can you please let go of Stacey?¡± The last human stepped forward
The toaster looked over, the smiley face turning into a frowning face. ¡°I can do that male human, but I need to know how to get arms.¡±
¡°But I¡¯m not a guy, and we don¡¯t know how to get arms we were just born with them.¡±
¡°But your not top heavy like her.¡± The toaster let out a sigh, and let go of Stacey. It¡¯s tentacles waving around, not knowing what to do with them. It had gained a strange skill when it evolved, so it pulled up the message about it.

Chapter 5: Learn to Love
A mass of tentacles wrapped around the woman, their hold tight on her as they slowly lifted her off of her feet. She let out a yelp, struggling only slightly as the tentacles were uncomfortable around her. With a few twists in them she stopped struggling, not really powerless but resigned to her fate. Then she slowly began being lifted up and down, two other tentacles roaming around picking up small objects and throwing them around the small area.
With a huff, she was placed down on a chair, then untied from her tentacled embrace. The toaster was testing out it¡¯s tentacles, gaining a skill called tentacle control for its hard work. Two of the humans were tossing small objects at the toaster for it to catch helping it grind up the skill before they went further.
They wanted to just continue through to the boss room, but the toaster kept whining about arms, and this was their compromise. The one that spoke about hentai convincing the toaster that tentacles were in fact more useful than a pair of arms. Though a few of them left the toaster confused, why would it want to have something called a harem? Also after being asked if the tentacles had any feeling, and confirming that they indeed do not have any sensitivity, the man looked at him with pity.
Bringing one of the girls to the side to explain things resulted in the man getting his face punched, the toaster would stay away from this so called harem if it the mere mention of it could get a person punched. The toaster spent the next hour practicing on simple things, before the skill evolved into Tentacle Precision, which it thought was enough for a boss.
New limbs aside, the others gained skill ups in throwing, and accuracy which they were satisfied with. The golem for some reason constantly breaking, and refilling its armor with its mana reserves, which had to be filled by the toaster from time to time. They knew it was time to finally face the boss though, since there was now a layer of smoke above them telling them that the fire was near.
The toaster cursed, ¡°Damn my very first enemy, it still follows me now.¡± Apparently it disregarded the zombie it killed before that.
The humans went and faced the door, looking at each other before pressing at it, forcing the doors open a crack before it suddenly gave way revealing a basketball court. The humans were confused, ¡°Why is there a basketball court here? This is supposed to be more dorm rooms.¡±
The brightly lit room was very spacious, the group coming down slowly as there didn¡¯t seem to be any opposites down below. Wooden floors were polished to the point where each person was reflected on the ground. Bleachers ran on both sides with enough room for over a hundred fans should they show up which made them nervous that this boss might be a swarm of enemies.
This made the toaster happy though, it was ready for more enemies as it had its fireball skill. Even if it took some time to set up the gnomes seemed devastated by the effects of it. Plus for some reason the toaster really wanted to evolve that skill so it lost the question mark at the end.
Suddenly the lights in the court dimmed then a spotlight appeared, leaving the group pretty much blind. The spotlight circled the room as a voice yelled out.
¡°Welcome to the 5th game of the monsters everyone loves the most. The stars of our show tonight, let¡¯s give a warm yell and praise to our friends the MonSta- erm, I have been informed that the team has changed their name due to legal reasons. So put your hands together for the Celestial Monsters!¡±
The spotlight focused on the doors leading into the room, and five very big monsters stormed out of the doors. Each one had different a color of skin, but all of them were muscular hulks, with big tusks coming out of their lips. The hentai addict whispered to one of the girls, probably trolls.Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.
Doing a lap around the court, they finally got to a microphone that was hanging from the ceiling, the blue hulking troll grabbing it. ¡°We, the Celestial Monsters, welcome our rivals tonight! We know that we will crush our opposition, but that doesn¡¯t mean we can¡¯t be civil. Can I hear a round of applause for the other team as well?¡±
Something went flying at the blue hulk, and the hulk instinctively grabbed the ball shaped object. As soon as it connected with his hand though, it exploded into a rain of fire, disintegrating the arm in a flash.
The toaster annoyed by all the running around yelled at trolls, ¡°Are you a bunch of idiots? We¡¯re here for a fight not a show.¡± Given enough time to prepare, each tentacle was now grabbing ahold of a fireball. It was nice that it could delay the release of its fireball by just not throwing it.
The troll missing it¡¯s arm now, gulped at the sight and then there was a flash as the basketball court became a living hell for the trolls. They mostly didn¡¯t care about the people who came in here, with their tough hide, and regeneration only fire could bring them any trouble. Luckily the people fleeing into this boss room had all been warrior types with no magic to speak of. This meant they could mess around the whole time and whittle away at the people.
Running for their lives the group swarmed at the trolls, with the toaster backing them up it was a one sided slaughter. The humans, and golem grabbing the trolls and slowing them down enough that the inaccurate floating toaster could hit the running trolls. Sadly the trolls had nowhere to run to, the boss rooms were sealed when an intruder came in.
Though when the humans looked back to the toaster they did not feel like the good guys in this situation. It was floating there, laughing while fireballs twirled around it, held by tentacles at it pinned them every which way.
When everything was said and done, they looked around not able to see any resemblance of the basketball court it was before. Instead the place was a charred, blackened war zone. The five bosses lay on the ground still burning as the two women looked at eachother.
¡°Let¡¯s not remind the toaster he¡¯s a monster too okay?¡± They both nodded in agreement.
The toaster took some convincing to calm down, and when they finally convinced it to stop the dungeon deemed it safe enough to reward them for their efforts. A chest landing on the ground in the center of the room.
This dungeon designed the items to help out each individual, it truly wanted to get rid of this toaster from the dungeon. It would take a lot of effort to repair the damage the little guy had done to it, and it was afraid that if it stayed here longer the toaster would bring down the whole dungeon. Years later people would wonder why the dungeon had installed a sprinkler system, but that was a story for another day.
The group, ecstatic to see the chest, rushed over and opened it. The toaster being firmly held onto by the top heavy woman which it didn¡¯t mind as it was soft where it was. They found some weapons, a dagger, a sword, but the oddest thing was a strange black piece of metal.

Item Found: Mithril - Monster Upgrade Material
|
|
This magical material can be used to upgrade a monster that is mostly composed of metal, upgrading all metal pieces to the magical metal Mithril. This upgrade will allow magic to flow more freely through the monster.
|
They knew who this treasure was for as they updated their weapons to the new ones. As the toaster touched the black metal it suddenly turned a teal color, it¡¯s body becoming the legendary metal Mithril.
¡®This is an improvement¡¯ The toaster thought, as it twirled it¡¯s tentacles excitedly in the air, lifting up the top heavy woman in the air.

|
You can lower the defenses of an enemy with your tentacles by only accident considering your knowledge on the matter.

¡®Huh?¡¯ The toaster was confused by this new skill.
