    "David!" a voice called out.


    "I''m in the library Aunt Jesy" he responded as he closed the book and placed it on the floor next to the lantern that was the only source of light in the otherwise dark room.


    "David what are you doing here at this hour?" she asked as she entered the library and approached David.


    She was more or less in her late twenties and had black hair going down to her shoulders,brown eyes that were focused on the boy sitting on the floor. She was wearing a black jacket, dark gray jeans, and blue sneakers but the most eye-catching thing she had on her was a thick gold chain around her neck.


    "Couldn''t sleap...I''ve read this page twelve times and still don''t completely understand it..." David replied.


    Jesy giggled slightly and pulled out a coin from her pocket and flipped it, as it was in the ait it began to warp and grew larger and by the time it fell back in her hand it was a remote. She pressed a button and the whole room lit up.


    The room was around 15 by 15 meters, the wales couldn''t be seen as there where bookshelves before each wall going up to the ceiling, excluding the wall that was on the right when you entered the room which had windows revealing a dark garden aluminated only by the light from this room. There were also several bookshelves in the middle of the room.David was sitting on the floor with his back pressed against one of the bookshelves in the middle of the room.


    "You''re just like you''re father, he also couldn''t fall asleep when he had something on his mind" she sed with a warm smile.


    "I read the family records, when my dad was at my age he could already do exchanging twice as fast as I can now..." David muttered as he looked away from his aunt.


    Jesy looked at the book as she slowly bend down grabbed the lantern and blew it out moving it away as to make room next to David, she then picked up the book and sat on the now empty spot on the floor next to David.


    "The Law of Exchange Volume one...David this is an introduction to Exchanging, you already know everything in here" she sed with a surprised tone.

    Jesy looked at the spot where David was pointing "Unequal Exchange" she red and then turned her gaze to David "This...This isn''t anything difficult at all David sometimes you just don''t get what you give it''s that easy"


    "But that defies the very concept of Exchanging..."


    "David in Exchanging and in life there are cases when you lose more then you give it''s not a difficult concept..." she thought about it for a few seconds and continued "ok say you plant a said,do you think there''s a 100% chance that it will grow to be a delicious vegetable?"


    "Well...No but Exchanging isn''t like that the whole book up until this statement is about equal exchange and now it''s telling me that everything before it was a lie?" David looked with a confused expression.


    "Hhh" Jesy sighed "ok off to bed we''ll talk about this tomorrow" Jesy sed as she stood up and grabbed Davids hand helping him get up.


    "K aunty" David replied.


    They left the library and continued down the long hallway.As they where walking while discussing Exchangement a loud explosion ended their conversation as it shook the ground making David lose his balance and fell to the ground Jesy quickly wrapped him in her left arm and pulled out 3 gold coins from her pocket and placed them on David''s chest, they began to warp covering Davids body and at the same time changing their color and texture. When they finished warping, David''s body was covered from head to toe in something that resembled a child''s version of a bomb suit.


    "Don''t worry everything''s gonna be ok I promise" Jesy yelled but David couldn''t hear her he''s ears were still ringing from the explosion.When he glanced at Jesy he noticed that her necklace had begun to warp, it quickly covered her whole body warping into a suit that a member of the black ops would wear. Jesy''s speed took a hit as the weight of David, his suit and her one suit where weighing her down.But regardless she stubbornly pushed forth, she knew she had to get David to a safe spot.


    After around 30 seconds of running, she stopped at a big iron door that resembling that of a safe.She put David down and took a few deep breaths as she moved to the screen next to the door she entered a code and it began to open.


    "come on, come on, hurry up!" The door opened revealing a bunker it had metallic walls 3 beds and a table as well as a small kitchen, it wasted no space.


    "David go inside you''ll be safe" David''s ears had heald to the point that he could just barely understand her words.


    "Wait you come too, the door has an Anty-Exchange seal they won''t be able to get in"


    "You think that will protect us from people who can literally pull nuclear bombs out of their pockets ?!" Jesy looked at David and put her hands on his shoulders "Listen everything''s gonna be ok I promise" she bend down and kissed David on the forehead "You''re stronger then you think" she whisperedthen pushed him inside and pressed the screen the door began to close.


    "You''re the master of you''re own destiny remember that and you''ll be fine"


    "Wait aunt Jesy Nooo!" David screamed helplessly as the door closed sealing his cries.


    "Ok! I guess it''s just us now!" a figure yelled as it approached Jesy.The figure was wearing a strange white suit that was composed of a white helmet, it had night vision goggles integrated in the helmet and something slightly resembling a gas mask also integrated in the helmet, the rest of her suit appeared quite strong and covered her whole body slightly resembling a stormtrooper''s armor only without any gaps in it.Armed with some sort of rifle that looked like it was taken straightout of a Sci-fi movie, then again the whole suit seamed quite futuristic.


    "Guess so sis," Jesy replied as she flipped a coin warping it into an assault rifle.

 Intruder

    David hit the iron door with all his might, Jesy¡¯s last words to him seemed like just that last words like Jesy didn¡¯t plan on returning...


    As he thought about all the moments he had spent with his aunt the most precious person in his life and how she¡¯s just a few meters away maybe taking her last breath David continued to hit the door with every ounce of his strength.


    In the hallway, Jesy was holding an AK-47 relentlessly bombarding her enemy with bullets.


    Her enemy though didn¡¯t evenseem to notice the bullets as she approached Jesy.Seeing this Jesy halted her attack with the AK and pulled out another coin from her pocket and started warping bout the rifle and the coin. As the coin began to grow in one hand and the rifle warped into a shapeless blob in the other. Jesy put her hands together and what was once a coin and what was once a rifle turned into an M2 Browning machine gun!


    It¡¯s 58kg instantly made it fall to the ground.


    ¡°Ooo now we¡¯re talking, you¡¯ve stepped you¡¯re game up sis!¡± the enemy yelled while stopping 15m away from Jesy and tossed a few coins that warped into a big pile of dirt standing at around 2 meters.


    Jesy got in position laying on her stomach and aimed the machine gun at the enemy


    and released a terrifying barrage that would inflict heavy damage even to a tank.

    The ear-splitting sound of the machine gun was followed by a brief silence that way eventually broken with a loud yell from the enemy''s side.


    ¡°Hey!¡± the enemy called out.


    ¡°What?!¡± Jesy replied.


    ¡°Don¡¯t you think this is a little extreme? I just came to see my kid!¡±


    ¡°You¡¯re kid? Where where you the last 8 years?¡±


    ¡°I was saving the world!...how about you what''s going on got a boyfriend yet?¡±


    "I can''t... I can''t believe you"


    "...girlfriend?"


    ¡°...even in this messed up situation, you¡¯re still trying to be funny¡±


    ¡°What can I say my sense of humor doesn¡¯t have an off switch sorry¡±


    ¡°O yeah? Where you also dropping puns when you killed Ray!?¡±

Its unique design made it possible for an Exchanger to warp up to 4 in one hand at the same time holding them between each finger, and someone with a certain amount of training could throw all four accurate at the same time, making them very difficult to guard against.


    Jesy though wasn¡¯t startled as she was prepared for something like this.


    She launched a few silver coins in the air, and instantly an explosion occurred!


    This was not an ordinary explosion though there was no heat, just a massive amount of ear. Jesy had warped the silver coins into pure air and since silver has a value far higher than air the coins warped into a larger amount of air, a large amount of air in a small space instantly expanded causing the explosion.


    The air pushed the grenades back and hit the pile of dirt exploding on impact.


    Jesy warped the machine gun into two guns and started moving towards her sister.


    The explosions filled the hallway with smoke making it very hard to see and even harder to breathe, however, Jesy¡¯s suet was equipped with a gas mask and goggles.

    She was moving at a slow pace. Though the explosion she caused was just air and she is wearing a suit that protects her to an extent it did occur less than 3 meters away from her causing her to take damage, mainly on her hands as she protected her head with them.


    Jesy made her way to what was once a pile of dirt with a hight of 2 meters, now less than 1. But Nina was nowhere to be seen.


    Jesy looked around and noticed that the smoke escaping through a broken window. The windows in this mansion where not ordinary windows the explosion wouldn¡¯t have been enough to break them.


    Jesy jumped through the window and was now in the garden.


    ¡°Remember all the games we played in this garden?¡± Nina asked as she looking down on Jesy from the roof of the building she had just jumped out of, and threw another grenade on the ground. Jesy couldn¡¯t react in time and the explosions send her flying in the opposite direction.


    ¡°Thinking back I always did win no matter what we played¡±


    Nina jumped down and walked towards Jesy.


    ¡°I guess this time is no exception

 Reunion

    Nina approached Jesy and picked up one of her gun''s off the floor aiming it at Jesy.


    Just as she was about to fire she heard coughing and paused.


    A figure fell out the broken window landing on the grass, it was a small boy.


    "David..." his mother gazed with a dumbfounded expression.


    "Leave her alone!" David was terrified but made sure it didn''t show on his face.


    Nina walked away from Jesy who was lying unconscious on the ground and approached David kneeling in front of him and giving him a hug.


    The first thing she noticed was that David was shaking and his heart was beating uncontrollably.


    When she noticed this she took off her helmet and warped it into a lantern. And held it up so that she could see David''s face and he hers.

    Nina also got a good look at David for the first time since the day he was born.


    David''s blue eyes were exactly like his fathers and Nina couldn''t help but shed a tear as she remembered the last time she gazed at those eyes.


    "David I...my name is Nina I''m your mother"  She said as she showed a warm smile and hugged David again.


    David was struggling to process this information. Hi''s aunt had told him that his parents died in an accident shortly after he was born.


    David was still scared, but not nearly as much as he was earlier.


    While this was happening Jesy had regained consciousness and crawled to the gun on the floor and aimed it at her sister. She fired only one shot as she didn''s want to increase the chance of hitting David.


    The bullet his Nina in the back of the head causing her to fall on David pushing him to the ground and the lantern falling next to them.


    Jesy began to crawl towards Nina to check if she was dead. Jesy didn''t know what she wanted more for Nina to be dead or alive, deap down she was hoping to capture her sister alive.


    But before Jesy could aproach Nina a figure landed betwean them and faced nina.


    The firure as drest in black and even with her nightvision gogles Jesy couldn''t properly avaluate his or her equipment, the only thing that she could say for shour was that the new intruder was equiped with some sort of a jetpack.


    Jesy unloaded her gun in the intruder''s back but this didn''s do anything except leav Jesy with no bullets. The intruder grabed Nina be the foot and took off.

 Enter Mia Yakushi

    Jesy was woken up by a beeping noise.


    She looked around confused.


    She appeared to be in a hospital.


    She looked to her left and saw David sitting on the chair next to her bed lying his head on the bed. She gently pats his head ¡°David, David¡± he began to open his eyes, and the moment he saw Jesy he screamed out ¡°Aunt Jesy!¡± and hugged her.


    ¡°David where are we¡± still confused she asked.


    ¡°We¡¯re in the mansion¡¯s emergency room¡± David replied.


    ¡°I¡¯ve had some time to experiment with medical equipment, not bad ey¡± a woman said as she entered the room.


    She was around 1,8 meters tall with black braided hair, she appeared to be Asian, she was wearing a blue kimono along with black gloves, black pants, and black boots.


    ¡°Not bad? I don¡¯t even know what most of these things are for¡± Jesy replied.


    ¡°Well I did always tell you to work on your medical Excangement more but no you only cared about weapons¡±


    The woman shifted her gaze to David


    ¡°We haven¡¯t been properly introduced, I¡¯m Mia Yakushi, I was in the same unit as your aunt in the war¡±


    ¡°I¡¯m David Salaman... I guess you probably knew that though¡±


    ¡°Yeah, though you¡¯ve never seen me before I live just a few miles from here on the east mountain¡±


    Wait you were a medic in the war right? ¡°My aunt once mentioned you, she said there was a crazy medic in the war who ate grass¡±


    Mia looked at Jesy with a chilling smile.


    ¡° Ow really, well I did save her life a few times but why mention that right¡±

    Jesy was examining her wounds who were now barely noticeable, despite having broken two ribs and her legs being severely damaged just 8 hours ago now she felt as good as new. ¡°You¡¯ve really outdone yourself Mia¡±


    ¡°Well what did you think I was doing the past decade?¡±


    ¡°I dunno eating grass¡± Jesy muttered.


    Ya know I could have healed your wounds completely but... I didn¡¯t wanna¡±


    And what followed was a long argument.


    A short while later.


    ¡°Just so you know I don¡¯t think you should be telling me some of these words¡± David said but was completely ignored by Jesy and Mia.


    ¡°Ok, we¡¯re here!¡± David shouted as they neared the basement door.


    Jesy looked at Mia and cruelty said ¡°Give me something to warp into a key¡±


    Mia reluctantly gave her a silver coin.


    Jesy warped it into a key and unlocked the door.


    When they entered they saw a safe 1x1 meters.


    Jesy tipped the password on the keyboard next to the safe, then she touched the screen and it scanned her fingerprints, and finally she bit her finger letting a few drops of blood fall into something like a small funnel next to the keyboard.


    And finally the safe opened revealing a strange book.

    The book had strange patterns on it and appeared to be old.


    ¡°This book contains very dangerous Exchangement techniques¡± Jesy continued ¡°David this book belongs to you now¡±


    David looked at the book ¡°But is something like this really best left in my hands?¡± he asked.


    ¡°David you probably haven¡¯t noticed since you¡¯ve never met anyone you¡¯re own age, but you¡¯re way smarter than any ordinary 8 year old kid. Take for example how you got out of the bunker¡±


    ¡°I didn¡¯t do anything special I just remember the code you entered¡±


    ¡°While we were being attacked you managed to remember a 9 digit number that I tipped in as fast as I could. David that¡¯s not something just anyone can do¡±


    ¡°David was at a loss, he never thought of himself as anyone special, if anything he thought that he was less skilled then others¡±


    ¡°Sorry but we really should get going¡± said Mia as she closed the safe.


    Jesy locked the door as they were leaving and warped the key into a backpack, put the book in and gave it to David.


    On their way out Jesy told David more about the book.


    It was a book several hundred years old, but it appeared new as it was made from some type of special paper. The book was written in a language known only by the Salaman family a language that David already knew. The book contained several techniques that were only known to a small number of people, like how to warp the elements like air and fire as well as techniques like the Exchange seal that once put on an item prevents Exchangers from warping sed item. However what made this book so valuable were 3 techniques that were considered beyond the realm of mortals.

    People are born with a type of Anti Exchange that¡¯s impossible to undo unless you know Soul Exchange. There are no records of anyone learning this technique. The Salaman family¡¯s earliest records are 450 years old which means no one has learned this technique in the past 450 years.


    Bio Exchange is a technique used to warp living tissue. There are detailed records of it as Jesy¡¯s father used it. It lets you Exchange your muscle tissue, organs, bones with much stronger ones. Or you could create a completely new creature, bacteria, human even.


    Outside the mansion, there were 30 guards dressed in black. David had never seen so many people before, and in the garden stood something else that David had never seen before, a helicopter.


    Jesy opened the helicopter door and told David to get in. David looked at Mia and just as he was going to thank her she hugged him, and whispered in his ear ¡°Be strong¡±


    Mia looked at Jesy and stuck her tongue, at this Jesy showed a slightly annoyed expression. David nervously got in the helicopter and they took off.


    An hour later they landed in an airport, David was stunned at how many people there were there but he didn¡¯t have much time to look around as they installed got on a private jet and took off. Then 6 hours later they landed.


    ¡°Where are we now?¡± David asked.


    ¡°This is our family¡¯s private island¡± Jesy answered.


    ¡°Our private...¡± David was stunned.


    ¡°Let¡¯s go this way¡± Jesy said pointing at a car on the road next to the airport.


    They started walking to the car. When they approached the car an older man and woman stepped out.


    ¡°David, meat you¡¯re grandma and grandpa¡±

    The woman walked up to David first and hugged him.


    ¡°I can¡¯t believe how much you¡¯ve grown¡± she whispered, tightening her grip.


    ¡°Ok, Ok let the boy breath¡± the man said, tapping the woman¡¯s shoulder.


    The woman finally lets go of David and continued to Jesy.


    ¡°Please no...ugh¡± The woman squeezed Jesy just like she did David.


    While the woman was squeezed the life out of Jesy the man raised his hand and said with a cheerful tone:


    ¡°High five.¡±


    David was at a complete loss for words.


    Still confused David high fived the old man, who now had a wide smile on his face.


    Puppy stop making that face your scaring him.


    ¡°Come on now Kitty, someone as brave as him wouldn¡¯t get scared from a smile¡±


    ¡°Puppy, Kitty. Blah¡± Jesy muttered.


    ¡°Why do you think I¡¯m brave¡± David couldn¡¯t help but ask.


    ¡°I saw what you did back at the mansion¡±


    David was shocked by these words.


    ¡°How do you know....¡±


    ¡°That information isn¡¯t hard to get, even our enemies have probably gotten to it.¡±


    ¡°More importantly...¡± the old man turned his glance at Jesy.

    They entered the car and drove in the direction of the castle that was slightly visible.


    As they drove past a small forest and then a short tunnel the castle came into full view. It¡¯s walls stood at 30 meters, they looked old like they were built in the WW2.


    They drove up to a giant door and after showing the guards their faces, giving blood samples and after the old man whispered something in the guards ear the guards opposed the door and let them pass.

    They exited the car and the moment they did Jesy took Davids hand.

    Jesy took David to the highest floor.


    The elevator door opened and they were on the roof of the building.


    David took a few steps forward and he could now see more or less the whole island.


    ¡°Look there¡± Jesy pointed.


    There was a small wooden house left of the elevator.


    ¡°Come on D¡± Jesy walked up to the door, she took a deep breath and opened it.


    David followed her into the small 1 room house.


    ¡°Me and your mom made this...¡± Jesy took a painting of the wall and looked at it with a bitter expression.


    ¡°You didn¡¯t ask me about her even once.¡±


    David glared at Jesy in silence.


    ¡°Ok guess I should have told you...¡±


    Jesy sat on the couch and patted the spot on the couch next to her.


    David silently sat next to her.

    ¡°Ok...Ill tell you the whole story, but it¡¯s pretty complicated and confusing so let¡¯s start from the beginning and go step by step.¡±
