《The Ancient Era》 Prologue: New Horizons Plautoon Planet, Diverses Land Region In a wide plain region filled with odd looking trees, that instead of pointing up stretched in an acute angle towards south, a disgusting rotten smell mixed with blood pierced through the air making even some grown men throw up. Along with the dead men lying almost as far as the eye can see was anall-outwar. A couple hundreds of men were on thenorthernside slowly advancing towards the southern group, that was only covered by what looked like leftover walls, whilst firingdifferentkinds of weapons making the enemies groupof a few hundred slowly tick its way towards zero. Bloody scenes were left as the northern group continuously advanced. Their armor seemed to take in all the damage as very few would falloccasionally. Meanwhile the southern side only had black suits as protection which was the same as being naked. "Fuck, we can''t hold on much longer Capt.Kain. We must retreat, we''reoutnumberedand our men are on the edge of pissing themselves!" screamed amiddle-agedman on the southern side while sweat mixed with blood covered almost half of his appearance. He had a black suit that was barely recognizable with all the blood and tears in it. He was carrying a sort ofassaultrifle which shot black beads that seemed weak and were barely visible but left a frightening amount of damage wherever they landed. A man on the opposing side got hit by a bead and suddenly exploded, blood and guts painting the odd trees a deep red. "There''s no hope Harold... we should have never taken such athing...we tried to bite moretha-" thetwo-metersized man namedKainwas cut off as his head was suddenly blasted off by the opposing side. "S***! RETREAT! Everyonedispersethere''sno hope left!"ScreamedHarold at the top of his lungs. As soon as he screamed the remaining men of barely over a hundred all ran inseparatedirections. Harold quickly ran towards his ex-captain and looked around his pockets, seeming to look for something of great matter. Just as he pulled what looked like a chip fromKain''sinside pocket a sudden kick was delivered to his right rib cage, launching him across the blood-oozing floor. BAM "...H-how did..keuugh" just as he wanted to speak a lung tearing sound was made as he threw up blood from the kick. The kick wasnotsimple as it broke almost his entire right rib cage. But he didn''t understand how the enemy got there so quickly but as he looked around he realized the enemy side had already arrived and was alsokillingand chasing the retreating men, capturing a few. "Hahaha, long time no see, don''t you think ex-partner Harold or isit...Harry!Hahah, well I''ll be taking that chip!" a slim figured man around 27 with a handsome face said as his hands moved like light and took the chip that was still in Harold''s now weak grip. He stared at the chip a few seconds as if in astonishment. "...J-just..letme be.. you gotwhat...what youwanted...for o-oldtimes.What...do yousay...Ezekiel? said Harold, taking in deep soul tearing breaths through clenched teeth with blood slowly oozing out still. Seeing hispitifulstate, Ezekiel remembered his past with this old partner of his. At some point they decided to take different paths, while they both went down the path of killing it wasn''t the same road, eventually they knew they''d fighteach otherasDiverses''sLand wasn''t big enough for them both and yet none wanted to leave this land for the other. It was justifiable however, as this region was the biggest and richest of the planet. "Hahaha! Good job Ezekiel! You''ve done your partwell,but yousee...your train stops here!" a big manwitha squad of 6 surrounded Harold and Ezekiel knocking them out of their senses. The big man with white armor and a dark mustache looked at Ezekiel with mocking eyes, as if already seeing a dead man. "I''ll take the chip and own this entire region, who knew such a small thing would give so much power. I''ll have everything in my hands! I''ll be a king! HAHAHA" said the big man as if already seeing hisglorious self. "YOU! Youfuckingbastard! You''re my subordinate, who gave you authority to order my men!" ShoutedEzekiel as if he would''ve neverimaginedthis scenario. He had painstakingly gathered all his men and even slowly made money through a few years to buy weapons and protection. Along the way he met amiddle-agedman who he took as an underling and made him who he wastoday,yet this man named Calebdaredbare his fangs to his maker. "Hahaha!Ezekiel, Iwasyoursubordinate,but I promised these 6 men I''d give them riches if we went through with this and from today I am no longer your subordinate. With your death, since I''m second in command, I''ll become the new head of this Group! We''ll just say you were killed when we got here. Hahaha!" No longer being able to hold in his glee Caleb burst out laughing and slowly calmed back down with a wide wicked smile from ear to ear making his face distort. "Alright men, kill these men" said Caleb as his face slowly distorted even more making even a slight glimpse at his face fill you withanoverwhelming sense of evilness. "I''LL TAKE YOU SEVEN WITH ME!" just as the six men aimed at them, Ezekiel screamed at the top of his lungs slightly dazing the six men surrounding them, in that slight half of a second that they were dazed with lightning quick speed he took out a small marble like object and smashed it on the ground with all his strength. Just as soon as he crushed it a few beads were already shot through his body making fist sized holes in his chest, arms and legs, ripping tendons and bone along with them. "OH NOO! SHI-" screamed Caleb, realizing he had underestimated Ezekiel too much, but there was no medicine for regret in this world and he had to face the consequences of his actions. Closing hiseyes,the last thing he saw wereEzekiel''seyes staring at him with a bit of regret and yet also excitement in them. Shocked he thoughtI was never even his match, what a fool I was. I hate my life *sigh*. Damnit. Shit. Were the sixmen''sthought as they realized they were doomed. I guess this is where I''ll meet my end. Well, I guess at least he''sgoing todieas well,heheh.Were Harry''s last thoughts as he took a glimpse at Ezekiel. F***. I was about to own this damn place and now I''mgoing todiecauseof somedumbassIhelped. Guess I''m a fool for lending a helping hand. Well, guess it''s fine, wonder where my next life will be,hehe.Just as Ezekiel thought this the bead he had smashed suddenly made a small space vortex that started sucking everything at least ten meters around it, intensely sucking in the 6 menas wellas Caleb, Harry and Ezekiel. As soon as everything was sucked in a tiny spiral appeared which suddenly exploded and threw guts, blood, bone and dirt all over the place.
UNKNOWN AREA "Woaah!" shouted Ezekiel as he suddenly appeared out of thin aira footoff the ground. THUMP "Aww man, still hurts no matter how many times I land here" said Ezekiel as he rubbed his head and slowly stood up. He looked around and it was just the same as every time, just dark all around with a sort of dark fog and only a bit of light was available at the current area he was standing on.Stolen story; please report. He was in an unknown area, he had been here before countless timesalready,but he still couldn''t get used to it. Every time he''d die, he would appear here as if he was just in a continuous cycle almost like being punished. In thebeginningit sure was tough, who would enjoy ripping connections with loved ones because they knew they''d continue living on in another life. Being born in a family, meeting friends, meeting the love of your life and having children, all these connections he would make in a life and yet he wouldn''t meet them again, at least not as the same person. It would break apart his heart every time and even more so when he''d experience the harsh side of nature, the dark side of fate and even the cruel reality of life. But, eventually he grew a backbone andrealizedthat if he couldn''t defeat his enemies then he must learn to coexist with them. This sudden change in mind he had seemed as if it had given him a ''breakthrough'' and it gave him new worlds to experience. He had lived countless times already, lived asa woman, man, homosexual. Living for so many years yet he still hadn''t understood why only him. Why only he could ''revive''. At least, he hadn''t encountered any other individual with this ''special ability''. Even though he had visited far too many worlds for him to count, some with technology so advanced it crossed the boundaries of what he ever thought was possible. He had investigated it before as well with many different lives and even interrogated many people about it, yet no one would believe him as he didn''t have evidence. Only knowing top secrets from lives he lead working as secret agents which he tried sharing to give as proof, yet after that he was like a mouse running from the government which was the big black cat. He''d been captured before and it was terrible, as soon as he was captured he was tortured and then put to sleep and only woke up when he was dead as he arrived at this same place. From then he decided to just go about his own ways and just enjoy his ''ability''. "So, what will it be this time I wonder. Hey! How about you let me choose a word this time! I want one with magic andshit! Why haven''t you given me one of those anymore?! The last one was pretty close I guess, but not what I''d like!" shoutedEzekiel not expecting anything likeevery timehe''d scream in the past times he''d been there. He didn''t remember the last time he was in a world with magic. Even if he remembered the techniques or cultivation manuals, if the world didn''t haveKi, spirit energy, or just some type of energy he couldn''t use any sort of ''magic''. Every world with ''energy'' would take it and name it in their own way. Hmm, this door is much more eye-catching than the ones I''ve already gone through and it even has some sort of...uhh.. jewels on it? The door was a pure white on the left half and an extreme black color on the right half. It had two jewels on it, the left jewel which was on the pure white half of the door was an extremeheartwarmingwhite and the right jewel was a severe soul eating black. They each seemed to be all new colors all by themselves. He''d have thought the left jewel would be toobright,yet its brightness seemed to only linger inside the jewel as if not being able to escape its outer layer. Almost as if it didn''t deem anything worthy enough toreceiveitsenchanting light. He thought it waslikea huge beast holding in a roar in front of its prey, deeming it unworthy of such a magnificence. When Ezekiel looked at the white jewel, he seemed to get a fuzzy warm feeling across his body, he seemed to recall his most precious memories, like this he unknowingly stood in a tranced state for an unknown amount of time... Suddenly a black rod moved out of the fog and aimed for Ezekiel''s head. SMACK "Uggh..what the hell happened?" Ezekiel looked around, not remembering what he was doing. He rubbed his head wondering why it suddenly hurt a bit. Maybe I''m actually not alonehere.. Then he turned towards the door and remembered he had seen all his best memories pass by in front of his eyes."Damn, looks can bedeceiving, it''s actually pretty dangerous. I could have been like that forever if not for whatever woke me up." said Ezekiel as he felt a chill go down his spine.As he turned towards the black half of the door he felt his heart pace speeding up. He knew he''d regretit,yet he was too curious of the unknown. If white which was ''good'' was that dangerous, what would the ''bad'' side be...he wondered. His pupils were slowly turning towards the black jewel on the dark half of the door. As his eyes finally landed on the jewel, its soul sucking darkness seemed to suck in hisconsciousness. He was surrounded by darkness and negative emotions were stemming from his mind as soon as his eyes landed on the black jewel, these emotions suddenly gave birth to all kinds of painful memories he was once lived and even some he didn''t even recall. He had started shaking and sweating all over his body. Stuck in another trance for an unknown amount oftime... "Nisevidllitsteydabstiswonknamuhnmad.." whispered an unknown figure through the fog with acrispyvoice. His voice made chills go down your spine. "Well, can''t blame him...curiosity doeswonders..hehe" replied another figure from the other side of the fog. It was a soft voice this time, pleasant to the ear and warm to the heart, yet giving a sense of wariness. "Let''s just wake him up already, I want to see what he''ll accomplish in this life thistime..." said another figure from the fog, this voice was mysterious, neither pleasant nor unpleasant just with a sense of knowing. "Very well then, lets wake him up and then I''ll open the door for him." answered another voice this time, it was firm and gentle. Each voice seemed to be on different sides making adiamondaround Ezekiel. Then the same way as before, a black rodswungout of the fog and smacked Ezekiel on the head, BAM "AHH! Stop it!" ShoutedEzekiel as he rapidly looked around still not realizing he had left the ''dark'' zone. Full of sweat and trembling all over he sat down and covered his head, mumbling to himself. Slowly he came to and regained his composure. Come on Ezekiel, come on, I''m not a child since ages ago, pull it together damnit! That damn thing is too strong though, I underestimated it. As he slowly stood up he faced the door once more and suddenly thought.What if I take the damn things with me... As he thought this the door suddenly slid open to the left revealing what seemed like a vacuum, savagely sucking him in. Shit, Igottaget them fast! As he was about to be sucked in he reached towards the door and grabbed the white jewel, he felt he was about to be tranced again but fought against it and since he wasn''t looking it was much easier. After pulling it out of its slot he realized he couldn''t store it since he was about to be revived, in panic he threw it in his mouth and reached for the other jewel while his right hand was grabbing onto the door. "What?! Should we allow this? Hey Fate, did you foresee this?" said the figure that was full of joy before in a confused voice. "Actually, this time... I can''t see anything." answered Fate with an odd smile. "It''sso...mesmerizing! It makes me...mmhm!.. ex-excited!" said Fate with analluringmoan in between, making the other 3 figures shocked, not by her attitude but because of what she said. "No ratelsurofmelborpaemocebthgimeh,mihlliktsumew!" shouted a figure as he swept passed the fog and was about to swipe ascythe at Ezekiel. But he realized he wasn''tgonnamake it. Damn! Where will I store this one?! Unless... no choice now, if I die I''ll reviveanyway! As Ezekiel said this he swallowed the white jewel and almost threw it back up, forcing it down his system. As soon as he got it down, he swallowed the other one. With both down his throat hepleasantlysmiled and let go of the door allowing the vacuum to do as itplease. Justas his head was about to pass through he saw a darktatteredblack robe fly out of the fog and swipe a scythe at his only remaining part, his head. W..what..is..that. He thought, as the previous scene was replaced with an enclosed space and a small narrow opening atop his head giving in a blinding light. He hadn''t realized he was about to be born once more. Ezekiel was still far too shocked from what he had seen. Was thatdeath?..Why did it seem like it wanted to...kill me?
Unknowingly he was already being hold onto by the legs by a young pretty woman, seeing that he wasn''tcryingshe game the baby a slow yet strong smack in its butt. Still processing the scene wherethe scythe was about tomake contact withhis head Ezekiel was forced to come back to reality and linked the former event with the present. "WAAHHHH!"ScreamedEzekiel in pain and fear. Arc 1: Beginning of the End, Ch 01: An Empires Doom "WAAHHH!" Shit,shit,shit! W-What''s goingon.Oh right, I''m being reborn. Woo,then...am I safe now?Thought Ezekiel as he looked around. He noticed a pretty woman holding him, she wore amaid''ssuit and was currently holding him in her arms. He noticed what looked like an odd scar on her forehead that had a faint lizard like resemblance. It however, looked oddly pleasant on her pretty oval shaped face, as if it was born alongside her. As the maid heard him scream she nodded her head andspoke, "Yuvabi,jeluvadesurolevy." as she said this she walked up to ayoung womanwho was laying on an amplebedwholooked to be in her early twenties, she was covered in beads of sweatacrossher extremelyalluringface, next to her was a robust man who had sharp eyes along with handsome looks, he was currently holding the woman''s hand while sitting on the edge of thebed. Being in the maids arms he was about to be handed to who he most likely expected to be his mother, but Ezekiel was busy swimming through his memories trying to remember what language the maid had spoken in just now. As he finally recalled it he came back to his senses and noticed he was being stared at by four eyes above him. He saw a young extremely pretty face with silky black hair and guessed she was his mother, then he looked to the man beside her and saw a handsome young man who had sharp golden eyes that pierced into his soul seeming to be examining him. His dark hair with golden eyes made an attractive combination. I hit the jackpot! I''mgonnabe a sexy beast! Hahaha!Unknowingly, while thinking this, Ezekiel made a small giggle. "Hahah, my second son! He seems to know he has hit jackpot!" said the man in a firm voice neither too loud nor too quiet while laughing. "Adon, what should we name our son? I likeZadon." said the woman while looking at Adon. "Naima, I have already chosen a name even before he was born, and now that I see him I know it''s just the right fit!" said Adon with a smile and shining eyes. "Ohh? Come out with it then." replied the woman with expectancy in her eyes. "Look here boy! You shall be named..." said the man, purposely making his wife even more expectant and even the maid that was standing to the side couldn''t help but scoot a bit closer. As Ezekiel was laying in his mother''s embrace while his parents talked he looked around and saw he was in a wide room that had few things in it. Besides the amplebedthere were a few drawers and a table with four chairs. On theceilingthere was an odd symbol that looked like adragon''shead with its eyes giving off light. Although the room didn''t stand out too much it was pleasant and quiet. A bit of light entered from an average sizedwindow,but it had a curtain that blocked almost all the light from coming in. As he heard his father mention him he turned to look at him. "Ted! This shall be your name! Just imagine, Ted theconqueror! I can already see his greatness! Hahaha!" as Adon said this he seemed to be lost in a trance with his arms folded and smiling, staring at a wall, likely imagining what he had just said. As soon as Adon said the first word everyone, even Ezekiel-err Ted was stuck in atrance... W..what?as Ezekiel heard his soon to be name he was frozen in place, even time seemed to freeze before his eyes. He couldn''t imagine himself with such a name while trying to conquer the world. Unintentionally he and his mother were staring ateach other, unable to process the information. At the same time, the maid was in a very perplexed situation. She was sweating buckets while clenching her teeth and pinching her stomach. She was about to burst in laughter, but if she let it out who knows how she''d be punished.Finally,unable to hold it all in, some air rushed out of her that was being forced to stay inside, because of this it madeit seem as thoughshe had sputum stuck in her throat and made a gross sound eco in the fairly empty room. "CRUGHH-" shocked she rapidly covered her mouth. She stared at her feet, unable to face her masters. As a maid she could never be disrespectful in any way as it was a sin worse than death. Shocked by the odd sound that resounded in the room Adon and Naima soon came back to their senses. Looking around they saw the young maid standing on one side and staring down. They then looked at the baby and looked ateach otheronce more. Their eyes seem to speak for themselves as they seemed tosay.. What was that? Since they didn''t think a highly trained maid would be the source of it they blamed it on the baby and shrugged it off. Damn it! Damn it! I almost messed up! The heavens have smiled upon me! Hahaha...Thought the maid as she forcefully laughed when she saw herEmperor andEmpress didn''t give it much thought. It was smooth and soft and kept him at a warm temperature. He wasn''t surprised by this, as it was somethingfairly simple, and anyone with a bit of experience with energy could do it. AsSilenewas folding the blankets Naima sat with her slender feet folded and closed her enchanting blue eyes. As soon as she did she started giving off a faint green glow for a few seconds before turning back to normal and opening her eyes once more. Getting off thebedshe leaned towards Amory and gave him a peck on his forehead. "Now that I look at you without any distractions, you actually got my eyeshaha" she said with a warming laughter. Hmm? That wasquick, did she even heal? Or was she not harmed at all?Amory was surprised, when he had been born in these types of worlds before, his mother from that life would need a few hours to heal and sometimes they even passed away. She was formed out of air and swiftly folded the remaining blankets and carried them over. Shouted the figure in the robe, his furious desperatevoice made the room they were in shake violently. "It''s too late, youmissed,and we can''tinterveneanymore." said a woman in a soft firm voice as she stepped into the light and looked at the empty space that had previously been a vacuum. She was covered in a white robe and her facewasn''t able tobe discerned. "Let''sjust see if it''s luck or misfortune for something like this to occur, it gets extremely boring hereafter all." the woman said as her voice seemed to leak her excitement. "She''s right, nothing exciting happens around here, if it gets dangerous for us we can makehimmeet dangers down there." said another figure, as it stepped into the light revealing a woman covered in a green robe with blue wavering lines every so often.

Looking at his peaceful look she let out a small smile, yet if anyone saw it they''d notice it was full of pity towards the sleeping baby in her arms. Wherever the wave passed it left scales and their pupils turned intodiamondshapes, with their nails turning dark and extremely sharp. Adon looked towards Naima and they seemed to agree to something. Looking back towards the condensing creature the three focused on binding it insideAmoryand with their combined strength after a few moments it was being sealed insideAmory''sdantian. It started shaking but this time in fear, and it allowed itselfto besealed without putting up a fight anymore. Feeling it get easier the three let out a breath of relief, it looked like it gave in. They were sweating all over and it cost them too much to get just half the plan finished. After finishing the binding Adonreturned backto his normal appearance and his emotions surged about, shouting fiercely at Margus he said "Margus! Your actions have cost me the life of my son! Why''d you try making such a dangerous beast his partner!". His roar made everyone tense as no one knew what would happen if they started fighting. Ultimately, Margus would lose as there was the Empress present as well and let alone her, even Adon alone could defeat him. "Emperor Adon! This kingdom they had ruled foralmost a millenniumwas goingto bedust very soon and they weren''t strong enough to do anything about it. They did all they could by saving only their heirs. After burning their lifeessence,it reduced their strength and only after healing completely would they be able to burn it again without many dangers. As all their people were in panicked states, running amok like frightened deer from the sky the clouds were suddenly pierced through and what they revealed were giant speeding meteorites. What shockedAdonand Naima wasn''t this though. In between all the massive meteors they saw a spear. It was taller thanAdonand itwas madeof material he couldn''t recognize. He was barely able to see it though as it went faster many times faster than light itself and was about tostrikethe ground below them. "I love you Naima. You are and always willbe...the love of my life. Goodbye my wife..." a whisper sounded out in all the mayhem, itwas filledwith love, caring and a bit of regret. It was Naima and her eyes leaked tears as she looked atAdonbefore saying, "It is nothing but a... see youlater..." as she said this with a sniff in between she leaned towardsAdonas he also leaned towards her and together they gave afinalkiss... DING Just as the spear connected with the ground it made the sound of a needle hitting the floor. It seemed odd for such a frightening weapon to make almost no sound as it struck theground,but it wasn''tto beunderestimated. Time seemed to freeze as not a soul moved, the meteors were frozen in place along with all the collapsing buildings, and just as everything was frozen in time the spear acted like a black-hole. It sucked in everything, it seemed to have no restriction as even the far moon and far sun were seeming to get closer. It acted as the focal point and everything along with everyonewas being pulledby it, after a few moments it abruptly exploded, sending a wave of destruction spreading across the land and across the sky with it in the middle. The wave left no life and continued with no sign oflosingmomentum, the onlyeye-catchingthing it hold was an odd sphere like object that it took with it. It had happened in just a fewseconds,yet it did many things at once. What was once a life filled kingdom was now plain dirt and dust. It was a barren land and seemed to have always been that way.
MOMENTSBEFORE.. Amoryand Martin weren''t aware of the events outside. The wave of destruction had lost momentum and was steadily losing speed, it slowed the sphere''s losses by a lot as it would only lose a layer when crashing with meteors or other objects in space. It didn''t lose speed however as it seemed to only get faster with each exploding layer. Like this it continuously flew through space. Sometimes meeting with comets and other times crushing through meteors, making it lose momentumbut neverthelessnot disrupting it.
2 Years Later In space, a comet could be seen flying past planets, brushing with meteors and sometimes traveling with other comets. Inside however were two boys. They were in deep sleep and lookedto beunaware of anything around them. The comet they were in was now down to a fifth its original size. It would only use energy tomaintainthem in a ''frozen'' state, keeping them alive. The sphere had traveled past many planets and had gone by far too many beautiful scenes. Any person would yearn for a chance to see any one of the many majestic stars they had passed by.
3 Years Later Amorywas now five yearsold,but he hadn''t grown at all and neither had his brother who should be eleven now. They were stillsleeping,and the sphere wasspeedingpast space, it was down to a fifth its original size though. It had a thin ''shell'' and the two brothers were clearly visible through it. As the sphere sped past space in a straight route, a planet could be seen in the far distance, along with it a bright red star also appeared, splashing light all around it. The planet was but the size of a needle''s eye from where they were. As they sped across space the planet didn''t seem to get much bigger but other planets came into view. After a few hours the planet that was originally the size of a needle''s eye was now the size of a young boy. The other planets were the size of an adult''s palm and the bright red star was the size of an adult. It was farther away than any of theplanets,but it was much bigger than all of them combined. Notlosinganyspeed,the sphere continued speeding towards the originally seen planet. As it got closer to the planet the sphere was barely able to be seen in front of such an enormous planet. It was currently dark as the sun was behind the planet. BOOM As the sphere met with that planet''s atmosphere it started to compress the air in front of it at such a rapid pace it ignited with an explosion, making it ignite in an extremely hot flame that was still getting hotter by the second. The sphere would lose a layer every few seconds from the intense burning it was undergoing, its explosions would lose the layer that was onfire,but the new layer would ignite quickly. Its flame caused the night sky to shine for thousands of miles across the originally night sky.
UNKNOWN LOCATION "Elder, do you think it''s a treasure?" asked amiddle-agedman. "It''s just a meteor... but just in case send a squad to investigate." answered an old man with a bald head and long white beard.

UNKNOWN LOCATION In a forest a small group of five people were walking down a dirt path, each was carrying his or her own weapon and they abruptly stopped as they stared at the meteor burning in the sky. It was but a split second as it flew passed them. With a tilt of his head ayoungman in his twenties asked, "Did you guys see that?Let''sgo see it! Come on!" without waiting for a reply he started sprinting towards the location the meteor went in. "H-hey! Wait! Damn it, he''ll die all alone in this forest! Doesn''t he remember where we''re at?!" Urgeda young woman as she also ran towards the same direction as the young man. "Let''sgo guys! Catch up!" as her figure got further away she shoutedback. The other three people quickly came back to their senses and ran towards them, wanting to catch up. "Damn it man, they''regoing toget us killed!" complained another young man as he ran. "Oh,quit whining, it''ll be fun!" said a young woman as she encouraged him to keep going.
POOF As the sphere surged across the night sky it headed towards a pine forest. Its trees weren''t too big but the deeper one went the bigger the trees would get. A river came into view as the sphere was getting closer to the ground. Beasts could be seen lurking around the forest, some wereflying,and others were on the ground. As if choosing this spot, the sphere started getting faster. It now only had its final few layers and was still burning at an extremely high temperature. As it continuously sped forward it was moments away from landing, it was going to land on the shore. Getting closer to the lake,the water was pushed away from the sphere making big waves go opposite ways. BOOM Just as it hit the shore another layer of protection exploded making the impact all themore stronger. It crashed through the surface of theshore,but it didn''t stop and continued rushing forward into the forest, it eventually stopped after destroying a few trees that stood in its way. It had made a dent in the land almost a hundred meters long connecting with the lake. The man namedFestonlooked to be the oldest,around twenty-five. Theyall had green camouflaged leather uniforms withablack wolf baring its fangs on the back. On each hip theyall hadadaggeralmost ten inches long, the men carried camping backpacks except forFeston. OnlyFestoncarriedasheathed sword on his backalong with the daggers by his hips. Thetwo womanhad small pouches besides the daggers. "You''re the leaderFeston, at least act like one!" retorted one of the men that had just caughtup. "I know man! Why''d deputy leader put him in charge!" barked the other young man. "Talon,Nessobe quietand set campalready." lazily orderedFestonas he sat onanearby rock. As it was onlyafew feetaway from the little boys it stopped, it staredat its prey.As it wasabout to pounce on themasense of danger swarmed him, growling loudly it rapidly lookedaround. KAWW Aloud cry ofabird pierced through the forestasagiant bird pierced through the windand rapidly flew towards the two boys that were unconscious. It was the exact same as a hawk but many times bigger. Its size was just as big as the previous beast but only wider because of its wings. Having seen the entirething,it decided to take these human boys and see if they themselves werespecial and then eat them. Getting closer it revealed its sharp terrifying claws, the beast that was on the ground saw its prey was going to be stolen so italso leapedat them, trying to get them first. Time seemed to pass slowly as the ground beast was only a few moments away from reaching its goal, the bird although had been farther away was much faster and the ground beast''s few seconds of confusion helped it get closer. Now it was also just mere moments away from getting its prey. As they each closed in on Amory and Martin, the last layer of skin to their cocoon twinkled as it met with both attacks from the beasts. It had been weakened greatly andreceivingits final blow it couldn''t hold on anymore. The beasts only feltan invisible wall,as theyalmost reached the boys,along withabright glimmer. Confusion swept passed their eyesas they met their doom. BOOM The last layer exploded with bothattacks, sending out blasts of energy inall directions. Nearby trees were blasted into molecules that were carriedaway by the wind, the nearby grass was turned to dust that was sweptaway with the fierce blast. The two beasts had strong bodies but even so were carried by the blast, it slowly disintegrated their bodies, starting with their furand feather then ending with not even their blood remaining, two pebbles were thrown onto the groundalong with their death. The blast spread out for twenty meters, killingall life. OnlyAmoryand Martin werealiveand well in the middle ofall this. With the freezing effect gone,Amoryslowly opened his eyes. Martin who was with himalso started opening his eyes. The last thing each of them remembered was having their minds injected with informationand thoughts. THUMP "Aghh!" After ten minutes they continued screaming, the pain was too much. It was traumatic, even Amory who had a powerful soul and mind couldn''t handle it. He had undergone thousands of different painful events and this wasoneof thetops. He slowly but steadily started withstanding it and would only let out a small growl every few seconds. Martin was on the verge offainting,but his willpower made him keep fighting, he had made a promise and if he gave up without even starting how could he face his father and mother in the afterlife. As he recalled his parents his face got tight. "AHH!..I-I CA-...Arg.. ICAN''T..GIVE UP!" YelledMartin as he slowly got on one knee from having been rolling on the ground. Like this he remained motionless for another ten minutes before speaking again with clear exhaustion in hisvoice, "Hah...hah...A-Amory..whereare you?" as he spoke he slowly stood up and looked around. It had kept them ''frozen'' in time and now that they had stepped out of it, time hadcomeback for them to give them those five years they tried skipping out on. They weren''tstrongenough to fend against ''time'' so the five years of growth they should have underwent would be implemented on them now. The human heart would beat almost five thousand times an hour and their hearts had skipped fiveyears'' worthof beats. The intense beating made their chests brim with pain as they each clenched it as hard as they could, but it would only get more pain inducing with every passing second. The cave echoed with painful howls, the originally quiet forest was now filled with criesechoingacross it. It didn''t have many beasts lurking and it had even less now as they all ran in different directions. In the cave,Amorywas now biggerand was squirmingaround the cave, screamingand rolling. The pain hadn''t stoppedand was getting stronger, he knew what was happening but even so knowing didn''t mean he could control it. This wasn''t something he had experienced personally before. In the cave two young boys could be seen, it was unknown whether they were dead or unconscious. They had similar features and looked to be brothers. What they had most in common, however, was the fact they were both nude.Tatteredclothes were on both of their bodies and across thehard-rockyground. A few blood stains could also be seen on a few spots around the ground. Looking closely at their bodies one could see small scrape marks all around their bodies. If a person came and saw the current scene, they''d think they were raped andkilled. Thatwas, however, false asno onebutthe two boys knew what had really happened. Like this they remained still, an occasional breeze would travel through the cave and caress their bodies as they shriveled up trying to warm themselves. After a few of these cool breezes strokedAmoryhe eventually awoke. Opening his eyes, he felt something wasoddabout himself. He recalled the past tortures he had undergone and couldn''t help but shiver, but not from the coldness in the cave. He didn''t dare move as he felt it would bring another wave of torture. As he had abruptly sat up he tested the waters himself andassumedthat they were safe as of the time being. Making a sigh of relief he looked down only to see some bare small white legs. He followed along the legs and came to a stop as he saw them connected with himself. He reached out to touch them and saw his small arms. At this point he had realized something but touched his body and face to make sure. Can it be?! I must confirm with Martin!As he thought to here he rapidly stood up and looked at a figure that was a few feet away from him. It waslighterin the cave, allowing Amory to see his brother. The sun was barely peeking in through gaps in the surroundings hills, bathing the forest with its sunlight, making the lake give a beautiful reflection of the surroundings. If one saw this scene they''d be unsure if it was a reflection or an actual other world in the massive hole. The entire area was sparse of any life, however, besides the grass and trees. In the cave Amory stared at Martin as he confirmed his guesses, the ripped clothes that were all over the place removed any doubt that was leftover as he sat to one side. Then... just how many years did weundergo...I''m guessing around five or six by my stature and his as well. He looks like a ten oreleven-year-oldboy. What should I tell him though, when he wakes up. Amory who was only five years old was like an angel, his small body was slightly chubby. He had long silky black hair that slightly reflected light. It reached above his eyes that were a deep blue, resembling a deep infinite ocean. He had a round jawline and a small pointy nose. His mouth was small and pink. His looks were closer to their mother''s whereas hisbrother''swas closer to their father''s. "Yeah,let''sgo." answered back Amory with a nod of his head. Walking towards the exit side by side, Amory reached Martin''s stomach. Martin was a little more than a foot taller than him. As they reached the exit the breeze that swept in the cave gave themchills,but they couldn''t do anything about it as they didn''t even have underwear on. It was only a few hours until noon and it was a bit foggy in the forest. As they walked forwards, they were heading towards the place they had crashed at. "We must first look for a city or at least a village, we can try entering an academy as a starting point to get a foothold on our situation." said Martin with a clear voice. He had gotten more mature along with his growth spurt from a few hours ago. "Mhm, I agree." replied Amory as they closed in on the barren land where the explosion hadoccurred. As they looked aroundAmory''sattention was caught by two small beads that were a few feet away from him, crouching down he grabbed them and immediately knew what they were. Running as fast as he could, Martin''s destination was the closest hill a few miles away from them. He planned to use it as a viewing point to see whatwas around them. The elder opened his mouth to speak, "Chairman Sajjan, has a squad been sent?". Behind him amiddle-agedman was standing. The man that was standing behind the elder spoke with a clear deep voice, "PatriarchXue, I sent an A ranked squad to investigate. The Misty Wood''s strongest beats are only limited to wild beasts. Ferocious beasts arereally rare. They were sent an hour after seeing the meteor.". "I assume you gave them some type of transportation." The elder nameXueadded on. "That''s correct. I gave them each a flying steed for transportation. They should be but a few kilometers from the crash site." answered the man called Sajjan. Hearing this, the elder nodded and spoke, "That should allow them to arrive faster than any of the other surrounding areas."
Above the forest, a few kilometers away from whereAmoryand Martin had landed, four white steedswere flying across the sky. Their wings each spanned eight feet long. On top of each flying winged horse was a person, all four looked to be around seventeen and nineteen. They all wore black cottonpantsthat combined with their black smooth leather shoes, a blue cotton dress shirt and a white blazer with black outlines on top it. There were four males, each had above average looks and the uniforms they had on made them look like young prince''s. Their uniforms all had a small logo on the left chest area, it was two swords crossed with a shield in front of it. They each had a long sword sheathed to their waist. "We''re almost there, be on the lookout for any other beast or person." a young man in front spoke, his voice wasn''t disturbed by the raging winds and clearly landed in hiscompanion''sears as they all nodded.
As Amory was grabbing on to Martin he looked around. The area was quiet, too quiet. The place where they had first awoken at was a wide area and it had alongtrail leading to it starting from lake''s shore. It was proof of a strong landing andit seemed as thoughthey had landed from the sky. They weren''t hurt though so they had probably been inside some type protection technique. That also explained why they also suddenly aged a few years. Whatever happened at the ceremony most likely is the cause of this. But is there not even a small village around here? It''s like no one saw us arrive, or did we not fall from thesky.. As Amory was thinking Martin fiercely jumped up towards the hill, Amory gasped as he felt he was going to fall. Flailing his arms around he panicked but Martin reached back and grabbed his arm. "We''re almost at the top, hold on tighter!" as Martin urged at Amory he started getting quicker. The Hill was tougher to climb so he used more strength. His muscles tightened and the sunlight lurking in through the pine trees made his skin glimmerevery timethey made contact. Looking at his right hand, he let out a small grin. They were the spirit cores of two beasts. How and why they were on the ground back then he didn''t know but now they were in his hands. On a large falcon speeding through the air a black robed man was looking forwards. He was staring towards a lake a dozenhundred yardsaway. At the speed he was going it would be a few minutes before he arrived. "Hmm?.." with a solemn face he stopped looking at the lake and stared straight ahead of him. A few flying steeds could be seen heading towards him. But he knew they were heading towards the same place he was. He slowed down the falcon and made it fly close to ground, right through the forest. It was extremely agile and managed to swim through the large pine forest. "I''ll see how strong they are before deciding what to do..." he slowly said with a hoarse voice. Like this he flew through the forest on the falcon. His figure couldn''t easily be seen through the thick branches from the pines.
Festonand company was but a few hundred yards from the lake. His group of five people was rushing forward, quickly running through the forest. A while ago they had felt a presence rapidly getting closer to their location, they knew it was going towards another area though. But they couldn''t allow it to arrive there before them. Who know what heaven defying items may have arrived. The place it landed on was a problem though, it was in between three different territories. There was the Holy Heart Academy on one side, the Cult of Corrupt Souls on another side and finally their own clan, theBledigclan, on the last side. It was like a circular room divided equally among three people and now a treasure was right in the middle of the dividing point. Now each person wanted needed to reach it before the other two. Festonand company hadn''t seenanyone,but their survival instinct told them they should hurry. Like this they hurried forward. Their clan had inherited the bloodline of the holly wolf and with it they grew in strength and gained a foothold in the Onyx Province. "We need to go faster!"ShoutedFestonas he started sprinting through the forest even faster, forcing the rest to run even faster so they don''t get separated. Like this, three sides were speedily closing in oneach other. From one side four young adults riding flying steeds could be seen, on opposite sides a dark clothed man riding a falcon through the forest and to a side of them a group of five adults were running through the forest at incredible speeds.
Amory and Martin were a few moments away from reaching the top of the hill when Martin abruptly stomped his feet into the ground obviously trying to stop in his tracks. AsAmorycontinued holding on tightly Martin froze and furrowed his brows. "There are some people around us in three directions, only one is athreat.." Martin whispered as he looked in three different directions. Ohh? So there are some citiesnearby..and if they are coming from different directions then it means they are all from different areas. As Martin continued being motionless he concealed his martial energy and stood behind a tree. Grabbing on from the back, Amory felt helpless as he couldn''t currently do anything by himself. After a few seconds they almost reached thetopbut Martin stopped on a thick branch that was about four meters away from the top of the pine. It allowed them to remain hidden and still have a sight of the place they had first awoken at. Taking a lookat the surroundings,Amorysaw four white flying horses speeding through the air with a person on top of each horse. The lake was a few miles straight ahead of them and the four figures he saw were to his right. He was barely able to notice that they were wearing the same clothes, it was more like a uniform. But aside from them he couldn''t see anyone else. With a tilt of his head he asked his brother with a soft clear voice, "I only see four people Martin... where are the others?". "There is one man rushing through the forest over there, he seems to be using the trees to hide his presence." said Martin as he pointed towards an area to the left, it was straight across from the four people wearing uniforms. If they continued that way they were bound to meet with this figure said to be rushing through the trees. Martin then turned and pointed straight in front of them, "On our opposite side there is another group, there are five people in that one." after he finished speaking he looked at the three sides once more before looking at the intersecting point for the three sides. "I think they really are going to where we awoke. Then that means we really were blasted away fromhome.." thinking this, Martin''s fists clenched as he continued looking forward. After a few momentsAmorysaw the four figures stare to the crash site from above, they seemed to be on the lookout for any movement below. After a few seconds they slowly reached towards the shore and mounted off their steeds. They inspected the area and followed along a trail starting from the shore of the lake and ending a dozen meters ahead where a large crater could be seen. "The man is hiding in the forest around fifty meters away fromthem.." whispered Martin as he indicated the area with his eyes. Looking over, Amory couldn''t see anything even though he knew where to look.I''m too weakdamnit..As he thought this Martin spoke out again with a soft clear whisper, "The remaining group hasarrived..the man is getting farther back for some reasontoo.." as soon as Martin finished a group of five adults arrived at the crater where the four young adults were already at. They didn''t break out in a fight, however, like Amory had expected. The two sides seem to speak about some things before they eachcontinuedtheir own things. The group of five looked around and seemed to examine the dirt before turning towards the cave where Amory and Martin had been in. The group of four looked over and followed themas well. "They must be allies since they didn''t get in a brawl, but that lone man is very likely both oftheirscommonenemy. They can''t defeat him though." as Martin said this he furrowed his brows, the man started getting closer to the cave. "Martin, we should leave towards... the area those firstfour..people came from."Amorysuggested, making small pauses in between his words. He guessed those four people came from at least an academy, and what they needed the most right now was somewhere they could set a foothold. "Mmm.." Martin started thinking, he wasactually planningon seeing if the man would kill the other twogroups,so he could use some of the stuff left behind. If the man came barging his way he was confident he could kill him once he used his bloodline. But he couldn''t assure his brother''s life if things turned for theworst,so he decided to do as Amory suggested. "There are drags all over the floor and dry blood stains, a beast must have had a meal, do you guys think it had something to do with whatever crashed out there." askedFestonas he examined the cave. Once he did everyone took a battle stance and turned towards the entrance. The dark robed man was tall and had a boney face, he wore the robe''s hoody so only a purple skinned face could be seen, "Mmm.. I''m gettingrusty..hehehe" his hoarse deep voice echoed in the cave and his laugh made chills go downeveryone''sspine. He didn''t have any visibleweapons,but everyone was on guard not daring to blink as they stared at him with narrowed eyes. He slowly made a wide smile, revealing all the sharp yellow teeth in his mouth. He swayed his boney purple skinned hand in the air as he said, "Don''tworry friends... I only came to sayhello..after all.." as heabruptlystopped here he let out his long thin sharp tongue and quickly licked his lips as he continued, "if I wanted... you''d all be dead already. Hahaha!" as he said this his figure turned to ash and dispersed with the wind. "Haa..haa..haa" Everyone in the cave butFestonandBeelatook in deep breaths, they had been in the face of death but the heavens had given them another chance at life. Damnit! I was going to follow the scent from the blood butnow..the ripped cloth has already lost its scent... and it''s also too dangerous for my group... An old granny was walking by when the cries got herattention. Looking down into thealley she saw the babyand picked it up. Suddenly, time skimmed by before finally stoppingafterafew moments. In front of the man was nowasmall stone house in the same city. Inside it the old granny was laying weakly inasmall bedand next to her wasasmall young boyaround five years old. The boy held onto one of the elder woman''s handas tears couldn''t stop themselves from flowing from his eyes. The elder said a few things before her eyes slowly closed and her head fell limply to the side. Thescenerychanged once more as the man was now looking at another alley. There, a boy around eight quietly sat with dirtytatteredclothes and a dirt stained face. People would constantly pass by in front of him but almost no one would look at him and those who did would either laugh, mock or harass him. The boy paid no heed to any of them, clearly being used to it. The boy''s heart and mind had slowly begun corroding by the harshtreatment of life. Suddenly, a hooded man suddenly came up to the boy, he knelt in front of him and said a few things before handing him a bookand leaving. The boy was filled with curiosity as he went deep in the alley to read the book. Thesceneryonce again changed as the boy was now ten. It was also night timeand he was even worse off in appearance now and he was standing in an alley with a disgusting smell surrounding the alley. In front of himwas a pile of dozens of dead animals, ranging from rats to dogs. He had a smile on his lips as he looked at the dead animals. He said a few words before waving his hands and black shadows flew out from the animals and were sucked into his mouth as he maniacally laughed. His laugh had gotten the attention of a passing man, hearing footstepsechoingthrough the alley he panicked and his behind a pile of trash bags. The man slowly walked forward as a disgusting smell attacked his nostrils. Covering hisnose,he slowly continued and met with the pile of dead animals. The man was clearly shocked as he took a few steps and looked around to find any culprit. The boy quickly ran upand dragged the body towards the place the past pile of deadanimals wasat. He came upand did the same thing he had done to theanimals. Only this time,alarger black shadow came out of the man. It was likeaghostas it howled before finally being swallowed by the boy.An extremely horrifying smile was born on his faceas he staredat his handsand body. Like this, thescenerychanged and time passed by again. The previous peaceful village was now dead silent duringmid-day. Not a soul could be seen whereas bodies scattered the entire area, even guards could be seenamongstthe bodies. Red puddles under the bodies linked together making a river flowacross the village. In the center point of the village a boy around his early teens waswildlylaughing as black shadows flew at him from all directions. Like this, the man''s life passed in front of his eyes. Two young nude boys were running through a forest when they suddenly stopped and moved behind a tree. Looking up they both watched as four flying steeds were rapidly flying across the sky. He already knew how spirit energy worked and what he needed to do. Slowly breathing in he concentrated on trying to feel the energy around him. He needed to sense the spirit energy around him before he could do the next step. Spirit energy came from everything that made up the world like dirt, grass, water, anything and everything even humans, cultivators and beasts. The world would alsoreceivespirit energy from the surrounding stars and planets alike. Although things like dirt gave extremely small amounts of spirit energy they still helped fill the world with spirit energy. Whilst trying to feel the spirit energy in the world Amory would inhale and exhale in a rhythm. Slowly he started to feel like he could ''see'' the spirit energy around him. Unbeknownst to him an hour had almost passed as Martin was to the side just watching him with some shock visible on his face.Father must have implemented some technique in him to get him on hisfeet..but it''s much different from the one I used. Amory who wasn''t bothered by the outside world was about to commence the next step. As he felt all the energy surrounding him he started taking deeper breaths and would only exhale after a few seconds passed. He needed the surrounding energy to slowly be absorbed by his body, this couldn''t only be done by breathing though. If it was that easy, anyone would eventually step onto the cultivation path. Every breath he took in would have spirit energy mixed with other particles in the air. Inside himself he could see the spirit energy slowly floating in circles, he needed the spirit energy to stay inside but the other particles to leave. As they spun inside he would exhale when the currently unneeded particles would be closer the exit, leaving the spirit energy inside himself. Like this his lungs were slowly being filled with only spirit energy, as they got fuller it got harder as he also needed to breathe oxygen but couldn''t allow spirit energy to leave or it''d lose its purpose. After another hour passed the sunsignaledit was still a few hours until dark. Martin who had been watching to the side decided to get a few things done. He was building a small campfire by the river bank. It was a bitrocky,but he couldn''t be choosey as he needed to look out for his younger brother. Back then, he had once gone out with his father to look at the wildlife and was taught a few wilderness survival tactics. Having made the smallcampfire,he put his hand in front of it and a small ball of flame flew out, igniting the campfire. Having done so he looked back at Amory and saw he was still doing his own thing. Using his martialpower,he looked at Amory''s body and was taken aback as he could see Amory''s lungs were brimming with pure spirit energy. This technique is reallystrange..is it even a technique? His face was slightly red as he held in his breath, standing up he slowly started to move in odd ways. Focusing on his movements would reveal it wasactually amartial dance. It involved slow beautiful movements and Amory who was making them was sweating all over and his face was glowing red as he continued holding his breath. Amory had to make perfect movements or else it''d all be in vain. The dance he was doing was a martial technique that''d open his meridians and allow the spirit energy inside him to flow through them, successfully stepping onto the trainee level of the martial student realm. He could have started with this instead of the previous two steps he had made but if he succeeded it''d make a much better foundation as all the pure spirit energy he needed was already in him. If he had done the dance right away it''d open his meridians and allow pure spirit energy to flow through them along with any polluted spirit energy. The world had pure spirit energy that would come from peaceful life like grass orgood-heartedpeople. But it also had polluted energy which came from beasts or any wicked person, it''d also be born when peaceful life was killed or destroyed. Whereas pure spirit energy would be born when evil life was destroyed. Essentially the world was filled with pure and wicked energy. Although wicked energy would sprout in incredible amounts, only few different things could make it whereas pure energy would sprout from many things even though they were average amounts. This allowed for a perfect balance of pure and wicked spirit energy in the world. Dozens of seconds passed as Amory continued making perfect moves. His face was now turningpurple,but he didn''t allow his mouth nor his nose to take in a breath of fresh air. After having done a final thrust his eyes couldn''t hide his excitement as hestill remainedmotionless. He closed his eyes and examined the energy inside him. Amory who was nude and laying on the rockyriverbankslowly stood up with a smile on his face. He quickly thought of something as he answered back in a clear voice, "When we were traveling you spoke to me about... spirit energy and how it interacted withus...so,I made my body absorb it! It worked!" as he finished he made himself look like a child, which he was, so Martin would believe him. He could just as easily say thatreally,he had livedcountlessofmillennia,but he didn''t know how Martin would react and he didn''t want to deal with anyone that learned of this for he didn''t know if Martin could keep his secret. Worst case scenario he could speak to him about it if something ever happened where he just couldn''t avoid it. Martin thought back to a few hours ago and he had indeed spoken about those things with Amory, "..Ohh, then, t-that must mean you''re aprodigy!Hehehe, we''ll definitely be unstoppable!" joy couldn''t escape Martin as he smiled from ear to ear. His childish heart carried a large burden and it seemed to get easier to withstand withAmoryby his side. "Amory, since we woke up we haven''t eaten. I''ll catch a few fish and we can cook them on the campfire." as Martin said this he jumped into the passing river and used his martial power to look through the water. With a swift hand he reached in and took out a large fish grabbing it by its mouth. It resembled a carp but had sharp teeth and redplacoidscales. Its teeth looked sharper than some blades but as it tried biting off the hand that was in its mouth its teethactually eitherbroke or directly pierced inside its gum making blood fill its mouth and flow down its body before finally dripping into the river. Martin quickly went back to the riverbank and walked up to the campfire, the fish would squirm around trying to free itself from hisgrip,but it was to no avail as it only hurt its bleeding mouth. Martin didn''t seem to mind the fish''s desperate attempts at escape, he even seemed to enjoy it. Looking around he picked a sturdy stick from the ground and fiercely pierced it straight into the fish''s mouth piercing out from its tail. The fish hadn''t died, however, as though he somehow managed to avoidall ofits vitals. Amory spectating this animal cruelty couldn''t help but feel a shiver go down his spine. The fish was clearly in pain from the very start Martin had grabbed it and now it was just pure torture and yet Martin hadn''t killed it clearly for his own amusement. Amory watched as Martin cooked it over the fire, slowly rotating it in the fire. Some of its muscles would tremble as it felt the fire gently caress its skin. After a few moments the fish stopped making any movement and Martin let it cook on its own, placing its edges on two more sticks that were each on opposite sides of the fire. After a few minutes they each started to eat the fish. Amory''s hunger had awoken after the first bite and he felt his strengthrise upafter eating. As he remembered how Martin had enjoyed the fish''s pain he couldn''t help but think. He''s indeed the son of an Emperor, I wonder if it''s luck or misfortune to have him as an ally-err my brother. But Martin aside, now that I''ve reached the trainee level I should absorb the two wild beastcores..no, Martin might want one and I also can''t bother with any more questions. "Amory,let''skeep going. It''s still a bit from being dark and I want to set a foothold already." saying this Martin stood with his back towards Amory. Silently agreeing with him, Amory jumped back on again. Together they speed forward once more, looking from above one could see some big buildings appear in the far distance.
UNKNOWN LOCATION In a foggy dark room, four pairs of eyes were looking at a small evenly shaped puddle on the water. Looking closer one could see itactually demonstratedtwo different areas. In one area there were two boys running through a forest and in the other area there was a black robed man surrounded by darkness. "Howintriguing...how about we give him more time...hehehe. What fun!" a jolly voice echoed through the room as a red smoke flowed into the puddle and went into the black robed man''s body. "Y-you..you made him stronger! What were you thinking?!" a sharp cry sprang through the room as the voice was filled with shock. "Heheh, oh come on... it''ll make it interesting, and he''ll need a few years to absorb this power anyway." said the latter figure again, with a bit ofplayfulnessin the voice.
Inside a cave, the robed man who had been absorbing the bloods power suddenly jumped up as he felt a red smoke rush towards him. He was much too slow, however, as it rapidly rushed into his nose and mouth quickly reaching his internal system. He desperately tried coughing itout,but it was to no avail as it hadseepedinside his core already. He was abruptly being filled with power amidst his confusion when he suddenly thought of a possibility. He had previously cursed life and had decided to fight back and now some sudden smoke had been absorbed into his body. "Hahaha! Is this an apology! Hahaha! It''s too late! I''ll rule this entire province and anyone who stands in my way will die!" as he furiously mocked life he laughed maniacally. Unbeknownst to him, he was going to do exactly what life wanted. The sun was quietly setting while two boys were quickly speeding through a misty pine forest. Amory and Martin had been running straight for a while. They wanted to reach the place the four young adults had come from. Amory deduced that it was an academy and it was a good start for them if they could enter it. If he didn''t like it or if it wasn''t big enough for them they could always leave secretly and travel to other areas. The goal was only to set a foothold on the current situation and plan what they were going to do. They currently didn''t know where they were and if they wanted to reach the top they were going to need to train and if they wanted the best results, a sort of ''sponsor'' was needed which could be further described as something or someone that could guide them and give them support, be it with martial techniques, currency or just spirit medicineamongstother things. Martin slowly came to a stop, it was getting difficult to see and it would be wise to rest. He turned to look at Amory and spoke up, "Amory, we''ll rest and continue tomorrow. I need to recover my strength as well." having said this he looked around and turned towards two thick pine trees. He abruptly made a series of slashes with his hands before stopping and doing the same to another pine tree. It had to be said that the pine trees were incredibly hard andsturdy,but Martin cut them like it was nothing. If Amory tried the same thing his hand would most likely be turned into meat pulp right when itcollidedwith the tree. As Amory looked at the pine trees he realized why Martin had struckthem. Martin had cut out a small gap in both trees, it was just the right size for someone to get in. It was a two by two space and it allowed them to rest in a more protected place. It hid them from the view of any wandering beasts and was cozy enough for one to rest. The trees demonstrated their sturdiness by not breaking apart even with a hole in them. Martin looked at Amory and spoke in a clear soft voice while pointing at the trees he hadstruck, "We will each rest in one of these and early tomorrow we will continue." having said this he waited to hear Amory''s response, Amory nodded and walked into the gaping hole in a tree. Seeing this, Martin went into the other tree and like this they eachpeacefullyslept as the pine forest would every so often sway its leaves by the soft winds going about their own way. The night quietly passed by as Amory and Martin rested. Amory, who was currently sleeping was unaware of the presence inside his core. If someone normal looked at his core they''d see nothing but if a heaven defying being looked at it he''d be shocked to find that very deep inside there was a dark egg. Thick strings of energy glimmering in purple enveloped the egg as it floated in midair with the strings stretching away from it in different directions. Red energy leaked from the egg, it proved to bean otherworldly existence. It hadn''t hatched and yet it demonstrated such power already. What was even more shocking, however, was that the egg seemed to be shaking and clearly demonstrated fear. If one looked at the red energy it leaked out and followed the path, one would eventually see two oval shaped jewels floating even deeper inside. One was an extremely pure white and the other was a soul eating black. The energy the egg released was being absorbed by these foreign objects. They showed noresponse, however, to all the energy they were each absorbing. They were like bottomless pits as they sucked in the smoke. If one looked at the egg once more and inspected it very closely, over time they''d notice its energy was very slowly losing color. Although it was extremely slow, over a long period of time it would eventually lose all of it. "Amory!HeyAmory.. wegot toget moving." a soft sharp voice echoed in Amory''s head as he wiped his eyes. Martin had awoken him and was already standing in front of him with his bare back facing him. It was hiscuetoget on. Getting up, Amory slowly stretched his body and hopped onto Martin''s back. Martin continued running through the forest, the sun had just begun rising and the forest wascool,but Martin wasn''t bothered by it as he had been running, making his temperature rise. Amory on the other hand had only been grabbing on from the back and could feel the speeding cold air strike him as Martin rushed through the forest. He had no choice but to withstand it and lowered his head as it brushed by his hair. Martin continued like this for hours and took small breaks in between to recover his energy. The pine forest had smaller trees now and they weren''t as dense anymore. He hadrunfor who knew how many miles and theyboth were alreadystarting to feel nervous as to whether they wereactually headingto some place or not. Without a choice he continued and after another couple or hours Martin started to feel hopeless. He turned towards Amory who was on his back and spoke with uncertainty in his voice, "Amory... do you think we''ll really find something in thisdirection...?".A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. "We had to go a certain way anyway, and this direction is as good as any." said Amory with a clear voice, he had been dubious as well as to whether they wereactually goinganywhere now but Martin couldn''t be told this as it would hit hard on his moral. Amory thought of an idea and suggested to Martin with expectancy in his clear squeaky voice, "I know! Martin, climb a tree and then jump as high as you can so you can look around us.". As his words arrived in Martin''s ears. Martin was filled with excitement as he nodded several times with a smile on his face and quickly climbed a tree. As Amory watched, his fingers werecrossed,and his face was solemn as he stared at Martin. He was originally certain there would at least be a small academy but now his thoughts had been wavered by the long trial. Martin had reached the top of a pine tree and slowly crouched as he prepared to jump into the air by using his martial power as a boost. POOF Martin vigorously cut through the air as the previous branch he had been standing on broke apart under his explosion of strength. As he pierced through the air he spun around to look at his surroundings. His eyes suddenly stopped in the direction they were originallyheaded,and they slowly spread open with an enchanting smile slowly spread on his face. What caused his excitement was a large town a few miles away from them. It filled Martin with excitement as he could finally make his first step onto the path of his father''s wishes. As he started falling back down he exerted strength into his legs and arms as he pierced them into the pine tree, slowing him down, so he could safely land on the ground. As he landed Amory saw his excited expression and was sure they were close to a settlement or better yet an academy. Martin ran up to Amory and loudly spoke, unable to hide his excitement, "Amory! You were right, there are some buildings up ahead!Let''sgo!" as he spoke he gave his back to Amory so they could continue their journey. Amory had expected this and hopped on as soon as Martin finished. Martin rushed through the forest at even quicker speeds than before, he was clearly in a rush to reach the said buildings. The sun was still up in the sky as the continued towards the large town ahead of them, Amory guessed it was just passed lunch time. As they infinitely neared the large town, pine trees were even morescatteredand white smoke could be seen rising in the sky. Their eyes shined at the sight of this and after a few moments they could finally see the buildings ahead of them. In front of them was a defensive wall made of stone and men in armor with sheathed weapons stood atop it. Behind the wall many buildings could be seen ''peeking'' over the wall "We''re here! Finally!" shouted Martin in excitement as he looked at the large town ahead of him. Oh...I thought he''d reject anything not ''noble'' enough.. hmm, oh I think I get it now, maybe he has an innate cruel nature with how he manages hisprey...or enemiestoo. As they neared the town Amory suddenly remembered something and spoke to Martin, "Hey Martin, hide your cultivation to a few levels above mine so we don''t geta lotof attention.". They didn''t yet know the average martial strength people possessed in this area and it could summon unneeded attention if Martin was too strong for his age. Back when the four young adults had appeared along with the other people, Martin had said the only threat was a lone man. That meant the four young adults were weaker than him and he was many years younger than them too! It would be even more shocking if it was revealed that fiveyears'' worthof cultivation were also lost! Martin quickly figured out the intention of this and lowered his cultivation to the third level of martial student realm, also known as the fluent level. Amory thoughthislevel wasn''t aproblem,so he didn''t hide it, it was only at the first level after all, the trainee level''s elementary stage. Martin, however, spoke against Amory''s thoughts as he said, "Amory, hide your cultivation as well. Father told me once that normal people can only start cultivating at the age of ten. Our bloodline permits us to start at a much younger age than anyone else." as he said this he slowed down. Allowing Amory to do as he said. Amory had a confused look but did as he was told. Oh? While he had been thinking, Martin stopped dozens of meters away from the town and looked at Amory. Amory who had been on his back didn''t understand what was happening. After staring back at Martin for a few seconds he realized what he wanted and shyly laughed as he got down on his own feet. After getting off they both turned towards the town and walked towards its entrance. It wasn''t too eye catching and could evenbe described asdull but to the two young boys it was like seeing a delicious meal in front of them after not eating for days. As they neared the town''s gate two men in armor standing below the gate looked at the two nearing nude boys. They were confused and startled. The Misty Forest was filled with beasts and these two nude boys had clearly appeared from it. Some rumors hadraisedabout beasts that could take humanappearances,but they were only rumors and the present two boys had joyousexpressions,so the guards were unaware of what to do. One of the men decided to question the two boys before they got too close, he couldn''t deny the existence of human copying beasts since rumors would sometimes prove to be true whilst this world was just much toobig,and a stubborn person would only believe so much they allowed themselves to. He was also the captain of the defensive line and he couldn''t allow any mishaps to take place on his watch. As he cleared his throat and took a few steps forward the man shouted at Martin and Amory, "Stop! Don''t come closer before answering my questions or I''ll be forced to act on my own accord! Archers in position!". Above him atop the defensive wall many men heard his shout and hurried over. They each had a bow in their hands as they stood in a straight line across the defensive wall. There were more than twenty men aiming their bows at two young nude boys in front of them a few dozen meters away. The men atop didn''t look startled as they looked at their targets. Many rumors had spreadamongstthe town about beasts that took human forms from merchants who said to have witnessed it themselves. This caused uneasiness to spreadamongstthe townspeople and what made it even worse was the sudden meltdown of neighboring villages. Amory and Martin were dumbstruck at the sudden turn of events. They had imagined a scene where they would be immediately escorted inside by a few people since they were just small boys.
