Today AEO, one of the most anticipated game releases of all time, goes online, and I am one of the five hundred people worldwide that have a founder¡¯s pack. This pack is OP! Not only do I start with five extra stat points, I get a hidden class token and a mystery gacha. Unable to hold in my excitement, I hope into my gaming machine and start up the game. When I awake I¡¯m in a white space with a screen appearing in front of me.

Being unable to contain my excitement, i click yes, then a large colorful wheel appears, and when I say large I mean larger than my body, the wheel starts spinning, and after rotating a few times, it starts to slow, I look to see what it might land on, and I see several names, dragon strike, sub-zero, time stamp, and forbidden love. But it didn¡¯t land on any of those, instead, it landed on¡­ PATH OF THE LEGLESS The what? Of the what? A race? As far as I knew there weren''t any ¡®hidden¡¯ races, but then again it was a mystery gacha. As soon as I had finished reading it, the description disappeared, and a new page opened up. This screen had several pictures on it, the first was of a small insect of some sort, The next was a small furry creature I couldn¡¯t recognize after that was a fish, bird, lizard, and snake. The snake was highlighted in gold, so I could only assume that meant it was not a standard race. before getting into the pod, I hadn''t decided what race or class I was going to choose in the game, so seeing that I got a hidden race, I decided that I would have to be stupid not to choose it, and seeing as I would be a snake, the most appropriate class would have to be rogue. Having made my decision I choose the snake race and was brought to another screen. In it was several pictures similar to the last, however unlike the race screen this one had pictures of items, there was one of a dagger that I would assume to be the rogue class, a sword that is most likely the warrior class, a cross that is almost certainly a priest, and what looks like several sparkles that by process of elimination is the mage class. I had already made my decision so there was no hesitation in my choice, selecting the dagger. Lastly, there was just a blank bar with the word name above it. The reason I say lastly is that appearance is randomized in game. As a safety precaution, the body proportions are left the same, but facial features, and such, are random. In the bar I type fang. It was a simple name, but I''ve found that in games, simple is best, also NPCs calling me, anything I would regularly call myself in game, would be embarrassing. After typing in my name I select create character. 1 - snake village ¡°Fang¡­ fang... FANG!¡± As i awoke i heard the voice of a woman shouting. looking around i couldn¡¯t see who it was that shouted, but i noticed that the room i was in wasn¡¯t modeled after western culture, but rather eastern culture. ¡°FANG! Get down, breakfast is getting cold!¡± Hearing the voice again I seemed to snap out of my confusion, as I remember that I¡¯m in a game, everything looked so real, I forgot all of this isn¡¯t actually real. I quickly got out of the bed I was in and head to the only door in the room, but I noticed a mirror. And Looking into the mirror, I saw myself, I didn¡¯t get to choose my avatar¡¯s design in the character creation, but I was fine with the design that was given to me. The face that looked back at me was decently handsome. My hair was an inky black, cut short and slightly shaggy, but the most notable part of my face was my eyes. They were gold with vertical pupils, I could only guess that this was a trait of the snake race and not some random detail that was assigned to me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something flickering, so I look over and I saw a long, thin tail covered in green scales. The tail was slightly swaying on its own, but when I tried controlling it, the tail responded to my will, moving wherever I wanted it to. But what was really surprising was the finesse that I could control it with, it was as if I had it for my whole life. But that wasn¡¯t a difficult problem to solve, it was most likely the game was probably making it easier to controle. ¡°FANG! I¡¯m starting to get angry!¡± Hearing the voice again, i stopped playing with myself, and opened the door, only to find a hallway with another door across from it, and a set of stairs to my left. Hearing sounds from down the stairs, i choose to go down the flight of stairs instead of the door. Getting to the bottom, i was greeted by a western style kitchen, and a woman wearing a traditional eastern dress in it, who i presume to be the owner of the voice. ¡°Finally! eat up, or you might be late for your ceremony¡± Nodding my head i sit down at the only chair at the table with a plate in front of it, and when i look at it two screens pops up

It was only now that i realized there was a HUB in my peripheral vision, and when i focused on it, it expanded and i could see three bars marked HP, MP, and SP. i mentally focused on them and similar screens popped up, the info could be summarized as; when HP reaches 0 you die, you gain 10 MAX HP for every stamina point, MP is used to cast spells and skills, you gain 10 MAX MP for every intelligence point.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. the SP bar was the only one to not have a screen, and presumably, that was because I had already triggered it. While examining the bars, numbers also appeared on them. The HP bar was 98/100, the MP bar was 100/100, and the SP bar was 80/100. Noticing that I was missing 2 HP, and 20 SP. I put 2 and 2 together, and ate the food in front of me, and as expected both bars were filed to full. The woman saw that I was finished and called out to me ¡°It¡¯s time to leave fang, I¡¯ll come with you to the chiefs house¡± I get up to follow the woman, when i noticed something, she doesn¡¯t have legs! Her lower body was obstructed by the kitchen counter when i came in, but when she came out from the kitchen i was able to see her lower body. A long thick tail was the only thing that was coming out. I really didn¡¯t expect that, but was able to recover quickly and followed her out the door. When i go outside i could see that the town i was in was a small one, only having a few tens of houses, and away from the collection of houses was a few fields, where men with tails were using hoes to dig at the dirt, while women, that had legs (unlike my ¡®mom¡¯) were bringing them water. But the direction me and my ¡®mom¡¯ were walking was away from the fields, and when we finally stopped, it was in front of a house larger than all the others. As my ¡®mom¡¯ slid open the door, a living room with a table and cushions to sit on was reviled. On one of the cushions was an older man, sipping tea. ¡°We¡¯re here chief¡± My ¡®mom¡¯ announced. The chief nodded his head and put his tea down before getting up. He gestured for me to follow him, and I went with him, to his backyard that had a small pool in it. ¡°Get in¡± Was all the chief said but his intentions were clear, so i got into the pool, and he grabbed my neck pushing me completely under the water. And While i was shocked, i wasn¡¯t scared and didn¡¯t resist him. Looking back up i saw the chief circling around the the pool while chanting and throwing herbs into the water. The herbs that he threw into the pool turned to liquid when they entered, the liquid was dyed by the herbs turning the water green and purple, and when there was no more clear water left green and purple started being sucked into my skin. Eventually there was no more water left. ¡°It is done, you are now a man¡± ¡°This way¡± Before I could ask any questions I was forced to follow him back to the living room where my mother was sitting on a cushion waiting for us. ¡°Has your mother told you about our clan¡¯s history?¡± ¡°No, I haven''t¡± I felt that everything was moving to fast. One minute ago i was soaking in a pool, and now i¡¯m being told the backstory of my clan? I wasn¡¯t able to get a word in, only being able to listen to what the other occupants of the room were saying. ¡°Many generations ago, we the legless clan were one of the strongest, and we ruled the world with a few other equally powerful clans, but...¡± *sigh* The chief took a moment to sigh before continuing. ¡°... but due to the stupid mistake of a power hungry fool, there was a war, a war we lost. We and the other powerful clans were driven to the corners of the earth, hiding in fear of death. over time most of the other clans have been forgotten by the world, and the rest? Considered monsters to be killed.¡± He looked me dead in the eyes ¡°And you are our last hope. Today we will be sending you to a nearby city recognized as part of the kingdom. Enter there ranks and become a noble, once you have enough power, petition the king to have us recognized as people again. Please¡± Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked at me. ¡°I know you have questions but we don¡¯t have time, we need to send you now. Follow me.¡± I tried to ask why we had no time, but he got up and left through the front door. I quickly followed him, and when i got outside, i noticed he was walking towards an altar next to his house. Following him i got stopped in front of the altar, a swirling blue portal pop into existence, making a large noise as if to announce its arrival. ¡°Good luck¡± While saying that, the chief pushed a booklet into my arms and threw me into the portal.
