 Chapter 1 Taken

    ¡°NICK WEAVER!¡± his teacher Miss Winshow yells from the front of the class. Nick jumped in his chair from miss Winshow yelling at him so suddenly. Nick took the pencils out of his nose, he has always been the class clown, he did his best work when miss Winshow was not paying attention. Which that didn¡¯t happen much because of how much he did things so she would usually pay attention to him.


    ¡°Yes, Miss Winshow.¡± Nick said knowing what she was going to say.


    ¡°Office, Now.¡± She said, anger in her voice.


    Nick got up from his seat and grabbed his backpack which he had on the back of his chair and exited the room into the hallway. As Nick walked down the hall to the detention room he heard yelling coming from a room parallel to him. After a few steps the yelling subsided into the birds chirping outside from the windows open. Soon after he heard someone walking down the halls behind him he made a few turns to get to the principal''s office and he could still hear them so he slowly looked over his shoulder and grew tense at the sight. He saw something he never thought he would see heading towards the office. He saw Maya the girl he has had a crush on since he first saw her. He stopped for a moment and started up again next to her.


    ¡°So are you going to the office too?¡± Nick said


    ¡°Yeah, I got in trouble talking to Sophia.¡± Maya said. Maya was probably an inch or two shorter than Nick but Nick was tall for his age. ¡°What about you?¡± Maya said with curiosity creeping into her tone.


    ¡°I got caught with pencils up my nose.¡± Nick said unsure of her reaction.


    She brought her hand up to her mouth and giggled a bit. ¡°That sounds like something my brother would do.¡± Maya said as if recalling something. The rest of the walk to the office was in silence. When they reached the principle¡¯s office Nick opened the door letting Maya enter first, he entered soon after.


    Maya sat in the uncomfortable chairs in the office while she listened to the principle yelling at Nick. She could only make out a few words of the yelling but it did not make enough sense for her to try and make out the conversation. When the yelling stopped she could not hear anything anymore, then soon after, she saw Nick leave and sit in the chair next to her while telling her that Mr. Abner wanted to see her. She got up and slowly walking into the room not sure what to prepare for after all the yelling she had just heard. She sat down in a much nicer and comfier chair then the last one she had sat in.


    ¡°So you were talking out of turn again I hear.¡± Mr. Abner said.


    ¡°Yes, Sir.¡± Maya said


    ¡°Why do I keep having you come here for the same reason so many times.¡± He said while raising his voice.


    ¡°Because we are friends and we never get to see each other.¡± Maya said raising her voice too.


    ¡°That does not give you the right to talk during class though.¡± Mr. Abner said in a full yell and smacking his fist against the desk which made Maya flinch a little, ¡°Detention for three weeks.¡± He said.


    ¡°What that is not fair.¡± Maya yelled.


    ¡°Life is not fair.¡± Mr. Abner yelled at the top of his lungs ¡°Detention for four weeks.¡±This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it


    Maya sighed. ¡°Ok.¡± When she walked out of the room she saw Nick sitting there in the seat he had sat in when he came out, he got up and followed her to the door.


    After school Nick was looking around and could not find Maya in her usual spot, He went back into the building to try and find her but he could not, So he went to detention. He found Maya in the seat next to where he usually sits in detention, he found his seat and whispered to Maya, ¡°Why are you here?¡±


    ¡°I got detention for four weeks because I was talking to Sophia.¡± She said


    Whistled in a low tone. ¡°This school stinks.¡± Nick said, ¡°Do you want to run with me.¡±


    ¡°How would we do that, there is a teacher in here.¡± Maya said pointing at the teacher


    ¡°Give it a few minutes.¡± Nick said.


    A few minutes later the teacher started to dose. ¡°Maya come on let''s go now is our chance.¡±


    ¡°Ok.¡± Maya said grabbing her bag.


    They slowly tiptoed out the room and ran when they got to the hallway. They did not say anything for a while as they ran out the door of the school which looked completely abandoned if you didn¡¯t know there were kids on the inside. They stopped outside the school property trying to catch their breath.


    ¡°How did you know he would fall asleep.¡± Maya asked while panting from running.


    ¡°I go to detention a lot.¡± Nick said also panting from the running.


    ¡°Well, where do we go now then.¡± Maya said


    ¡°I guess we just hang out for a bit.¡± Nick said hoping that Maya did not realize his face was getting hot.


    ¡°Ok.¡± Maya said


    Nick and Maya started walking down the alley that was behind the school. Nick turned around to talk to Maya, but he didn¡¯t see Maya, thoughts started racing through his head, did she leave him? where did she go? When had she left? Nick stopped and looked around seeing nothing that would be able to conceal her enough for him not to see her. Then he heard Maya¡¯s voice muffled by something coming from the wall. Nick started to look around getting closer to the noise, He found a hole in the wall hidden by an illusion and heard the muffled screaming come to a stop. He entered through the illusion and saw a man walking down a staircase that seemed to go under the school, the man was carrying a suspicious looking bag down the stairs with it slung over his shoulder. Nick started down the stairs quietly behind the man not wanting to be mugged and put in the bag or out on the street where he would probably die.


    Maya awoke in a weird room on a hard table, the room was occupied by a few computers hooked up to some machines and men stood and sat at the computers then the man that had kidnapped her was facing away from her, no one was paying attention to her. She started looking around trying to find the best exit but she only saw one with a shadowy figure in it, she tried to make out the face but could not then the figure came closer and she was barely able to make out the details of the figures face. It was Nick! She felt a new energy one she had never felt before she was rejoiced to see that Nick had come to help her.


    He started beckoning her towards the exit where he was standing, she looked around at the people, none of them were looking. She got up and slowly approached the door but when she got about five feet away from the door the room went red and started ringing an alarm. Everyone turned to her and started running to get her back but Maya took off up the stairs following Nick. Maya was significantly slower than the people behind her but she had a good head start. When she made it out there were three men with thick builds and wearing dark sunglasses but one of the men''s glasses were broken right in the middle and his nose was bruised. The men were standing there waiting for her, Nick was nowhere to be found, they grabbed her and shoved her in a bag and she could not see anything but she overheard them say something.


    ¡°We should dissect her now before she gets away again.¡± one of the men said.


    It made her feel very uncomfortable, where is someone when you need them. Then she heard feet hitting the ground and getting closer.


    ¡°Hey its that kid again, kill him we can¡¯t have him in the lab again.¡± another man said


    She hit the ground hard as if dropped from their shoulders. Then she heard other footsteps going towards the other footsteps she had heard earlier. Soon it went quiet like they were just standing,looking at each other, then she heard a few people hit the ground hard. The bag started to open up and she braced herself but when a face came into view she knew exactly who it was.

 Chapter 2: A new world

    Nick ran as fast as he could up the stairs he had just came down. He looked back and saw that Maya had gotten out of the room but there were people behind her and gaining on her. He was running significantly faster than all of them so he figured he would help Maya when she got out of the stairway. When he got to the top of the stairs and there were three big and buff men who looked like they worked out a lot but with a naturally thick build and wore dark sunglasses. Nick tried to run in between the men but they quickly close the gap.


    Nick realized he could not get out of this without force, so he started winding up for a punch and punching the man square in the face breaking his glasses in the process. The man staggered and it was enough to allow Nick to get through the crack he had put in between the men and hide behind a dumpster further into the alley way. He watched as Maya emerged from the solid wall and he saw the men grab her, and put her in a sack. He decided it was now or never so he emerged from behind the dumpster and charged at the men, the men heard his feet hit the ground hard as he ran towards them.


    ¡°Hey its that kid again, kill him we can¡¯t have him in our lab again and share our secrets.¡± The man with the broken glasses said as Nick came charging at him.


    Nick jumped as high as he could and kneed the man with broken glasses in the face, which knocked him out. In the same jump he whirled around and kicked another man. The man fell to the ground holding his rib where Nick had just kicked him. When Nick landed he turned and punched the third man in the abdomen utilizing his momentum to strengthen his punch he was able to make the man gag and he started breathing heavily as if the wind was knocked out of him. Nick went over to the bag he had just seen the men stuff Maya in, when he opened it he saw Maya bracing herself and she soon after looked and smiled up at him,


    ¡°Are we safe.¡± Maya said sounding unsure.


    ¡°Yeah, Somehow I had enough strength to knock them down, but we better get going.¡± Nick said looking at the men lying on the ground unsure when they would get up.


    ¡°Ok.¡± Maya said.


    Maya and Nick were running in a full sprint but having to stop and look behind them for anyone following. Once they were at Maya¡¯s house she turned and said good bye, he did likewise and started running but not as fast as he had when they were running before. Before long he was able to make it home, he went up to the house and tried the door, but it was locked. He went to the mailbox and lifted it up to get the key to the house. He looked there for a while surprised to see there was nothing there. He went up to the house and knocked thinking someone else in the family used it and did not put it back yet, but no answer came. He rang the doorbell multiple times and still no answer. He looked out at the street and saw his mom driving up into the driveway.


    He started towards the car, she stopped and rolled down the window,


    ¡°Are you lost honey.¡± She asked in a sweet tone.


    ¡°Mom are you feeling ok.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°What are you talking about I¡¯m not your mom.¡± She said confused.


    ¡°Mom what¡¯s wrong, you¡¯re acting weird.¡± Nick said worried.


    ¡°Do you need me to call the hospital.¡± Nick¡¯s mom said.


    ¡°No.¡± Nick said giving up on the topic.


    He figured he could spend some more time with Maya till all this blew over.


    ¡°Bye.¡± Nick said.


    Nick¡¯s mom rolled up the window and drove into the garage. He started walking back to Maya¡¯s house when he realized that there were kids outside on the property of the Dunkin¡¯s, and he got closer to ask them why they were playing on someones elses yard. As he got closer he saw that they were the Dunkins. He wondered why they were outside, because they always were inside on technology. They also hated sports and they were playing football. Nick chose to ignore it not wanting to get into an awkward conversation like he did with his mom. He started running to Maya¡¯s house not wanting to see other weird things, when he got there Maya was sitting on the porch reading a book.The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.


    ¡°Maya.¡± Nick said while panting from the running


    Maya looked at him weirdly wondering why he was there and why he was panting.


    ¡°Did you see the men again.¡± Maya asked cautiously looking around for the men in the suits.


    ¡°No,¡± taking a deep breath to settle down his panting ¡°My mom doesn¡¯t know me... and the Dunkins are playing football... outside. I think something... is going on here.¡± he said not panting as much any more.


    ¡°Yeah I was noticing weird things too, My mom and dad are usually here by now, so is my brother.¡± Maya said wondering.


    ¡°Why do you think all this is happening, this is weird.¡± Nick said looking at the Dunkins playing down the street.¡±


    ¡°I don¡¯t know.¡± Maya said looking down the street the other way at the oncoming camaro.


    They watched the car pass them, heading down the street fast towards the Dunkins, they watched as one of the brothers runs out in front of the car to retrieve the football his brother had just thrown. They saw immediately what was going to happen and started running to his protection. They ran at full speed to try and get the driver''s attention but they could not and he was picking up pace moving rapidly toward the Dunkin boy. They tried to run faster but they could not and watched as the Dunkin boy was hit by the camaro dead in the center of the car, the car bumped up as if going off of a speed bump and didn¡¯t stop, in fact it sped up. Nick was the first to the boy on the ground then Maya came soon later.


    ¡°Are you ok.¡± Nick said worried, No answer came. They looked for injuries, they turned the boy over and say he had a giant opening in his side but no blood was coming out and inside there were wires and pipes. His brother sat on the edge of the street yelling at him to come back as if he had no idea that it happened.


    ¡°What¡¯s going on here.¡± Nick said confused.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know.¡± Maya said.


    They stood up and looked around, they saw what looked like a normal neighborhood.


    ¡°We should try and get to that lab again and figure out what¡¯s going on.¡± Nick said with urgentness in his voice.


    They ran as fast as they could back to school, they did not see much but when they got within a mile of the school people started appearing and giving them looks, then after they past the people, the people would follow Nick and Maya as if they had an idea of where they were going and what they were going to do there and they didn¡¯t like it. They made it in sight of the school when the people started to enclose on them.


    ¡°You should not be here.¡± one man said.


    ¡°Then why are you here.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°To stop you from getting in trouble.¡± the man said. ¡°Now we can all leave if you just turn around and go live your life, or we can get messy and force you back to your normal living.¡± He finished


    ¡°How about the third option, we just go to our school and then live out our lives.¡± Maya said


    ¡°Force it is then.¡± He said. ¡°CHARGE!¡±


    All the people started to charge at them Nick, being brave yelled,


    ¡°GET BEHIND ME MAYA!¡±


    Maya ran behind Nick while Nick started charging at the people the people winded up and simultaneously punched Nick in the gut. Nick was sent fifty feet away from the battle They all started running at Maya starting to wind up of the punch. One of them was fast enough and beat the others to it and got the full punch in, Maya fell to the ground feeling immense pain. ¡°That¡¯s it.¡± Nick said getting up and wiping himself of. ¡°YOU¡¯RE GOING TO GET IT NOW!¡± Nick said with anger and determination rising in his voice. He ran at the people who were ganging up on Maya.


    ¡°YOU CAN MESS WITH ME BUT NEVER MESS WITH THE PEOPLE I LOVE!¡± NICK yelled at the top of his lungs. Maya looked at him passionately as he ran at full speed towards the people. She wondered, if he really loved her, or they insulted his family some how. Nick was now running at full speed and he could feel his body filling with power, power he had never felt. His hands and feet started tingling, he realized he was running exceptionally faster than he had just been running. His hands and feet stopped tingling he was running almost five times the speed he had originally been running. Maya gasped at something pointing to his feet and hands, but he did not have time to look because he was approaching fast to the enemy. He winded up and punched with all his might.


    ¡°I WILL PROTECT THOSE WHO I CARE FOR!¡± Nick yelled.


    His fist made contact and all of the people in front of him went flying into the air and past the school to the point where Nick and Maya could not see them.


    Nick looked down at his feet and hands on his feet were golden boots with a red trim and black vines climbing up the sides; On his hands were gauntlets, also golden, red trim and black vines.


    ¡°What are these?¡± Nick said


    ¡°I don¡¯t know but maybe we can figure it out if we get to the lab.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Yeah, maybe.¡± Nick said only half listening while admiring the looks of the gauntlets.

 Chapter 3: Abilitys

    When they arrived the spot where the hole was, they pass through it, they find the staircase and the room not to be lit up at all. They stayed there for a while so there eyes could fix in the darkness. After a while they could see just the faintest light at the end of the stairs but it appeared that the stairs had almost quadrupled in length and they were long before. They started down the stairs, Maya was behind Nick mostly because his increased speed, she speed up and eventually fell into step with him.


    ¡°What you said, when you were fighting those people, was it true.¡± Maya asked, she could feel herself start to blush.


    ¡°What, what did I say?¡± Nick asked


    ¡°When the man punched me and you got up you yelled that they could mess with you but not the people you loved.¡± Maya asked blushing more.


    ¡°Oh, you heard that.¡± Nick said shamefully.


    ¡°Yeah, but that did not answer my question, did you really mean it. I just want to hear the truth, I don¡¯t care if you like me or not I just want to know.¡± Maya said getting more serious but still blushing.


    ¡°Yes, I did mean it.¡± Nick said in a way that seemed like he was defeated.


    Maya was now in a full blush she could not believe that he liked her, the rest of the walk was in silence. When they got to the bottom they found a short hallway with a fire lit room at the end of it. They walked into the room, Nick had his fists ready for a fight since they had no idea what was beyond the opening into the room. They walked in ready for a fight but they saw no threat in the room. All they saw was a wall with markings and a doorway with a gold door and a hole the size of a hand on the door.


    ¡°I am going to go try and open the door.¡± Maya said


    ¡°Ok, I will go look at the markings.¡± Nick said starting off towards the wall with the markings.


    Maya looked at the lock, she tried putting her hand in it but nothing happened when she did.


    Nick was studying the markings when Maya called him over, eh came at the beckoning wondering why she was calling him over.


    ¡°Can you put your hand in here.¡± Maya said


    ¡°Yeah but why?¡± Nick said while putting his hand in the hand shaped hole on the door.


    The door immediately started reacting to the action. Black vines started crawling down the sides of the door, when the vines reached the bottom they started to lift the door up. After a while the door was all the way up and they walked through it with fists ready. All they saw was a man probably in his eighties and with a long beard and a staff and he wasn¡¯t very tall.


    ¡°Hello.¡± the man said.


    ¡°Who are you.¡± Maya said


    ¡°Who am I,¡± the man laughs. ¡°Who am I.¡± raising his voice. ¡°I should be asking you that question, you are in my sanctuary.¡± the man said, his voice booming. ¡°So who are you?¡± the man finished


    ¡°I am Maya and this is my friend Nick.¡± Maya replied


    ¡°I have no name but people address me as The Master.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Sick name.¡± Nick replied ¡°But why do they call you that?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Because I have trained many heros over the ages.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Ages?¡± Nick wondered ¡°How old are you.¡± Nick asked


    ¡°One million three thousand three hundred and forty six.¡± The Master said. ¡°But who''s counting.¡±Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.


    Nick made a low whistle. ¡°Man, that is old, what moisturizer do you use because you look eighty.¡±


    ¡°Olay, But do you need training because the only way to enter here is if you are in need of training so who needs training.¡± Master said.


    Both Maya and Nick both raised their hands. The Master accepted them both and brought them both to a room with a window and a nice comfy looking chair. Nick stayed behind as Maya went into a room with the Master. He looked out the window to see if he could see them in the other room. He saw them moving so fast he could not see what was going on. After a while he felt sleepy for it had been a while since he had slept last and he fought a horde of angry people and three men in black suits. He leaned back in the chair and felt himself fall into a deep sleep.


    He woke up to Maya with a big stick just taller than her and The Master talking to her. Then an angry horde popped out of the walls and Maya got ready to fight them but she looked exhausted the people started running at her and he got worried that she would die. He ran to the door and tried it, the door was locked he could feel determination to get to her he punched the door with all of his might but nothing happened and the door didn¡¯t even have a dent in it. He was feeling even more determination and anger then he had ever felt and started punching the door rapidly, but nothing happend. He could feel himself not giving up he felt his hand tingle again but that did not make him give up. He started punching the door again and he noticed that his gauntlets were glowing he looked at them and they were glowing a brilliant blue flame. He decided to give it one more punch with all he had. He winded up and punched the door with all he had. The door went flying off the hinges slamming against the wall the wall seemed tougher then the door and did not crumble. He looked to see Maya on the ground looking at him, all of the people on the ground unconscious. The master looked at him in awe.


    ¡°H-h-h-how d-d-did you d-d-do that?¡± He asked stuttering in awe. ¡°That door, is indestructible, made of pure adamantite.¡± The Master finished.


    ¡°You mean was indestructible.¡± Nick said tired from all of the punches.


    ¡°How did you even have enough will and strength to break it down?¡± The Master asked.


    ¡°I, I don¡¯t even know myself, I just fell asleep in the room and woke up to the people charging at Maya, I just felt the need to protect her immediately and I would not let anything get in my way.¡± Nick said.


    Maya slightly blushed and smiled looking at him.


    ¡°So you would break down an indestructible door just to protect me?¡± Maya said


    ¡°I would always protect you no matter what.¡± Nick said confidently.


    ¡°I think you are ready for now Maya, I will talk with you later but let¡¯s put the door back up and Maya can sit in that room. And hopefully Maya is not strong enough to break down the door too.¡± The Master said.


    Nick and Maya snickered, Nick started to the door and picked it up as if it were ten pounds.


    ¡°WHAT! HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT!¡± The Master yelled astonished


    ¡°What?¡± Nick asked


    ¡°Do you not notice the um you know, the ten million pound door you are currently holding.¡± The Master said more calmly


    ¡°This feels like ten pounds.¡± Nick said surprised he was lifting that much


    He looked at his gauntlets the flame started to die. As the flames started to die, he could feel the door getting heavier and heavier. He let go when it got too much for him to lift, the door fell fast and hit the ground hard, it fell over with a loud clang.


    ¡°Maya can you get that.¡± The Master said


    ¡°WHAT!¡± Nick yelled ¡°If my increased strength can¡¯t lift the door how will she lift it.¡±


    ¡°Watch and learn Nick.¡± Maya said


    Maya made a few hand gestures and slammed the staff against the ground. The door started to lift off the ground with a blue hazy aura around it she guided the door over to the spot it had previously been. She placed it in the slot and made a few more hand gestures and said words that sounded like it was in a different language so Nick could not understand it. A loud snap boomed and the door was back in it¡¯s place and had the hinges reattached to the door. Nick stood in awe,


    ¡°H-h-how did you do that?¡± Nick asked


    ¡°We all have hidden abilities, hers is to use magic. Which is not a very common ability.¡±


    The Master said. ¡°Now Maya will you leave me alone with him I want to train him.¡± he finished.


    ¡°Yes, Master.¡± She turned around and walked out.


    The Master clapped three times and said words that he could not understand, the door behind Nick slammed shut.


    ¡°Let level one of the simulation begin.¡± A computer voice said.


    The walls opened up and hordes of people started pouring out just as they had done when he was watching. One came up to him and punched him. He went flying into the air and just before hitting the ground another man uppercutted him in the back sending him straight up. Nick was feeling a lot of pain, he turned around facing the floor and he started falling down again, as he was falling he could see Maya in the window watching him. He did not want to mess up, so he figure being punched around was not a good idea. As he got closer to the ground the people seemed more angry than the ones he had taken out a while ago. He winded up for a punch and punched the ground where he landed.

 Chapter 4: Awakening

    Maya was watching out the window and saw Nick being punched. She worried a little bit but she knew The Master would intervene if Nick could not handle it. She saw him be uppercutted in the back which sent him flying straight up into the air. He looked at her, as if just noticing her for the first time, he whipped around to face the floor as he stop ascending. He started falling fast she could see him wind up for a punch and all of the people underneath him. When he got to the ground he punched and completely obliterated the ground creating a crater. All of the people flew away from him and smashed against the walls all unconscious. Maya stood in awe she could never even knock out ten at the same time no matter how hard she tried, and Nick just knocked out at least fifty with one punch. The Master pounded his giant staff on the ground all of the people got up and walked back into the walls, the walls closed soon after they entered.


    ¡°Good job Nick, I have figured out your hidden abilities.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°What? Did you say ¡®abilities¡¯?¡± Nick asked


    ¡°Yes you have two which is the most uncommon thing I have ever seen.¡± The Master said


    ¡°Wow.¡± Nick said dumbstruck ¡°So, what are my abilities.¡±


    ¡°You have already discovered them.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°What how did I discover them, could you tell me what they are so I know?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Well, You can make the most powerful weapon appear in front of you-¡±


    ¡°What, What is this weapon then because I bet I have not seen it.¡±


    ¡°Oh you¡¯ve seen it. Because you are wearing the most powerful weapon.¡±


    Nick looked at his gauntlets and boots. ¡°You mean these.¡± He said presenting the gauntlets and boots.


    The Master nodded ¡°Yes those would be them.¡±


    ¡°Well what is my other ability then?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°The other one is the ability to charge weapons with pure power.¡± The Master said. ¡°Also because you have a weapon that can not be charged up it charges you up, and with your new charged up abilities you are able to break through to the weapon and charge it up. That is what the fire around the gauntlets is, it is your power flowing through it. This ability is called the ¡®Awakening¡¯.¡± The Master finished.


    ¡°Wow.¡± Nick said amazed by what he could do.


    ¡°So looks like your friend up there has fallen asleep. When she wakes up it will have been two years down here but only a few hours up there in the room.¡± The Master said. ¡°Well let¡¯s get to training.


    Maya was still a bit droopy but she figured that that was from just waking up. She went to check on Nick and saw that the ground was no longer the ground they had just been standing on when she fell asleep, there was a giant crater, and Nick stood in the middle of it. His eyes had turned a velvet red and his gauntlets were glowing a brilliant blue flame. He was looking at a giant person that seemed to be made of millions of people all connected. The big man bent slightly and winded up for a punch. The punch came down at an amazing speed she looked at Nick who was not moving at all, the punch came down and made contact with Nick and the ground where he had just been standing was a giant fist shape hole. Maya shouted out when it made contact, she could feel the sadness of him dying immensely as if her dad had died. She then realized, that she loved him. The big man¡¯s fist retreated from its hole and she saw Nick there with one hand up as if he was blocking a sword coming down on him. Maya felt rejoiced to see him not dead, Nick jumped up a tremendous height and put his fist out pointing it at the giant man. His fist started to glow a very bright light and he shot out a beam of light at the monster. The light made Maya look away because it was to bright, when the light subsided she looked at Nick who was inside the wall from the recoil of the blast. She looked at the giant man who was now missing a head, and a there was hole in the wall behind the giant man. The man fell to the ground with a big thud and slowly disappeared with littler people more size appropriate running from the man back into the walls. Nick hit the ground after climbing out of the wall, Him and the Master walked to the door, then she heard a thud it sounded like someone punching metal then she saw the door fly of the hinges. Nick walked in with a giant smile on his face. He also looked as if he had been working out a lot and was much more buff he had very bulky arms and abs which she could see because his shirt was all ripped up and not covering much anymore


    ¡°Really Nick, you had to break down the door again.¡± Maya said with a sigh


    ¡°What? It¡¯s fun to do.¡± Nick said ¡°and I need a new shirt¡±


    ¡°Well I guess you two should get going to get back to your world.¡± The Master said

    Maya and Nick started going down the hallway while Nick was putting on a new shirt, but before they got to the end of the hallway Maya stopped.

    ¡°I wasn¡¯t crushed I blocked it perfectly, it didn¡¯t even hurt.¡±

    Nick sat there dumbstruck, he never thought that she would like him. He always thought she was way out of his league. She started up again catching up to Nick giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Nick blushed. They started walking again only this time they were holding hands up the stairs.


    Nick was running at a full sprint while Maya hovered above the ground at the same speed Nick was running. They were going to their next destination, they arrived at Maya¡¯s house in a few minutes even though the school was twenty miles away. Maya walked in and a few minutes later came out with a book bag.


    ¡°I don¡¯t think that is enough for a thousand mile trip.¡± Nick said looking at the book bag


    ¡°I enchanted it, it can hold unlimited things now.¡± Maya said ¡°We need to go now.¡± She said looking at some approaching people.


    The people started running at them at a faster pace than the last ones had, Maya was about to set a spell to send them flying but Nick told her not to as he waved his hand in the general direction of the people and smaller beam of light then what she saw before in the fight shooted out of his hand as it did in the fight.


    ¡°Never mind them we can take our time.¡± Nick said blissfully


    They fell to the ground with their head cut off but again were robots.


    ¡°You have amazing aim, to be able to cut off their heads without even looking.¡± Maya said looking at the robot heads on the ground.


    ¡°Thank you, I have been practicing for a long time.¡± Nick said in response.


    Nick and started running again with Maya hovering behind him they were on the road passing cars left and right, the cars started to speed up to catch them but none of them were fast enough to catch them. They ran past a Lamborghini Centenario, when they ran past it, it started to speed up. It started to catch up and was going faster then them, Nick tried to run at full speed but could not go any faster.


    ¡°Maya can you go faster.¡± Nick yelled making sure she could hear it above the wind wiping at their faces


    ¡°Yeah. I can go a lot faster.¡± Maya yelled


    ¡°Good get ready to speed up with me.¡± Nick yelled


    Nick started focusing on his power and closed his eyes, he could feel the energy coming back to him after he was giving energy to the gauntlets and boots. He gave the more powerful energy to the gauntlets and boots also and they started to ignite with blue flames, he could feel the power rushing through him he realized with his gauntlets and boots were giving him the strength already. He was now jogging the speed he had been going before and he started running as fast as he could, the Centenario was getting faster but it was not going quite as fast as Nick was now running. Maya soon caught up to him.


    ¡°Wow, this is close to my full speed, that means you are at least going two thousand miles per hour.¡± Maya yelled being amazed by his speed.


    The rest of the way there was smooth except for the few times Nick had to stop to catch his breath. When they made it to their destination which was a small town called Azmar which seemed like a nice little town, until people started chasing Nick and Maya. They knew the lab that the people had moved to was in the town of Azmar they just didn¡¯t know where it was in the town. Nick started walking around with Maya and they kept their eyes open for many people gathered in one area or if they stepped near an area a lot of people would show up to stop them. They searched to town for a while and soon it became dusk.


    ¡°We should find an inn or something and take turns watching over the other person.¡± Maya suggested


    ¡°Yeah we should.¡± Nick agreed


    They walked around the town for a little longer keeping their eyes open for anything suspicious while they looked for an inn. They found a nice little inn that didn¡¯t look very busy which was probably the best choice currently. They went in and got a room acting like the people they usually saw on the streets so they did not stand out to the other people. They went to their room and opened the room, there were two beds and a bathroom. Maya went into the bathroom to change. Nick suddenly realized he did not bring any clothes to change into and out of. Maya came out dressed into her pajamas she threw the bag at Nick.


    ¡°I got some clothes for you as well go change.¡±


    ¡°When did you- never mind.¡±


    Nick entered the bathroom and soon later came out in his pajamas.


    ¡°I will take first shift.¡± Nick said willingly.


    ¡°Ok I will take the shift from two A.M. to when you wake up.¡± Maya said as she was getting into the bed closest to the window on the far side of the room. She curled up and drifted off to sleep, Nick could tell when she was asleep because her breathing had changed. Later that night Nick¡¯s eyes started to get droopy he did not want to fall asleep because he had to keep an eye on the door. He woke up when he heard people whispering on the outside of the door.


    ¡°When should we strike.¡± a young female voice said.


    ¡°I don¡¯t hear anything so try and pick the lock.¡± an older female voice said.


    ¡°Ok.¡± the younger one said.


    Nick could hear the sound of the girl picking the lock, the door clicked after a little bit and Nick ran to his bed and curled up and unsummoned the gauntlets trying to hide that he was still awake and that he had powers. He could hear the door open slowly and he braced himself to see people attack him. He saw a shadow and he could tell by the place of the shadow that she was very close to the corner. He jumped out of bed and grabbed her and pinned her to the ground.


    ¡°Who are you and what are you doing here-¡± Nick said realizing that he had just pinned Sophia to the ground.


    ¡°Get off of her: the older girl said.The older girl shot a laser like beam out of her palm. The beam hit Nick and hit the ground.


    ¡°You kidnapper.¡± Sophia said getting up and brushing herself off from the dusty floor.


    ¡°You were the one breaking an entry.¡± Nick said whispering not wanting to wake Maya.


    ¡°You kidnapped my best friend.¡± Sophia said


    ¡°Sh¡­ you¡¯ll wake Maya up.¡± Nick said glancing over hoping that Maya was not awake yet.


    ¡°Oh so you don¡¯t want her woken up so she can come with us.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°I will fight you if you don¡¯t quiet down.¡± Nick said whispering again.


    ¡°No how about you fight my sister, I am not much of a fighter I am a genius in this world though and I was trained only by the best.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°Who trained you then.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°The Master.¡± Sophia said.

 Chapter 5: Reunion

    Sophia sat there registering what Nick had just said. ¡°What do you mean you and Maya, why did you train your kidnapped kid I mean wouldn¡¯t that give her a better chance and escaping.¡±


    ¡°I didn¡¯t kidnap her¡± Nick said starting to get frustrated.


    ¡°Ok if you''re not lying then you should have no problem defeating me in battle.¡± ¡°Right?!¡± The older girl said.


    ¡°I would have no trouble either way.¡± Nick said being a bit cocky.


    ¡°Ok then meet you outside in the parking lot.¡± the older one said with a smirk on her face.


    Nick followed them outside where there was a parking lot with only three cars sitting in the corner of it. They walked to different sides of the parking lot and faced each other.


    ¡°By the way my name is Rose and I will be the death of you.¡± Rose said from the other end of the parking lot.


    ¡°My name is Nick and let me tell you I¡¯m not gonna kill you but I¡¯m gonna hit you so hard when you wake up your clothes will be outdated.¡± Nick said threateningly.


    Rose started charging up her powers and her palms started glowing.


    ¡°Power up already¡­ or do you not have any powers.¡± Rose said with a huge smile reaching up to her ears.


    Nick started to charge energy and stopped charging at the brink of his gauntlets appearing so he could have the element of surprise.


    ¡°Alright I am ready fire at will.¡± Nick said


    Rose laughed and pointed her palm at Nick who turned his head to the window to see that Maya was looking out the window at him with tears pouring down her face. He gave her a reassuring look. Then he looked at Rose again who was burning brightly thought her entire body and slightly floating of the ground with deep red eyes. She fired a giant laser like a flashlight only stronger and deadlier. Maya at this point was on her knees crying yelling Nick¡¯s name the light hit Nick and it enveloped him into the light. Now Maya was lying on the ground crying so much that she could not see at all but she could feel her tears streaming down her face. There was a big smirk on Sophia¡¯s face which was wiped off her face immediately as Rose smacked against the wall of the building and creating a hole through the wall. Sophia looked back at where Rose had just previously been a few seconds ago to see Nick standing there with his gauntlets and boots, they were glowing their blue flames again his eyes velvet red. She tried to comprehend what had just happened but was unable to.


    ¡°How did you- you were just-¡± Sophia said confused.


    Nick started to release his power and his eyes went back to their normal hazel color his gauntlets and boots disappeared and he looked just as he did before the fight.


    ¡°That¡¯s my power.¡± Nick said as Rose started to climb out of the wall with bruises and cuts all over her body. She was only slightly glowing and was not floating any more.


    ¡°But that just isn¡¯t logical.¡± Sophia said. ¡°How did you-.¡± ¡°Wait.¡± Sophia said with a look that seemed like she was in a flash back.

    At that moment Maya came crashing through the door using magic to rip the doors off their hinges and throw them across the parking lot.


    ¡°I¡¯m so glad you¡¯re OK.¡± Maya yelled while running towards them.


    Sophia spreaded her arms smiling getting ready for a hug but was dumbstruck when Maya ran right past her into Nick''s bulky arms, she had tears of joy streaming down her face now rejoiced that Nick was still alive and unharmed.


    ¡°How do you know him.¡± Sophia asked


    ¡°He goes to school with us and he is in our math class.¡± Maya answered


    ¡°Wait.¡± Sophia said. ¡°So he is Nick, the scrawny little kid.¡± Sophia asked


    ¡°Yeah but now he isn¡¯t so scrawny any more ever since he was trained by The Master.¡± Maya clarified


    ¡°You know I am right here right.¡± Nick said


    ¡°Yeah we know.¡± Maya said


    ¡°And soon you¡¯ll be dead!¡± Rose yelled


    Rose was now glowing brighter than before and was flying high in the air, she started to charge up her light beams again. Nick started charging up his powers also but before he able to fully charge she had already shot her laser directly at them. He felt the power rising out of him but it wasn¡¯t rising fast enough so he pushed Maya out of the way of the laser as it hit him with full force Maya¡¯s facial expression went from having a good time to complete sadness she ran towards the beam as the beam died down and kneeled next to Nick¡¯s body laying on the ground with his pajamas all ripped up. He was at least a foot deep in the cement. Rose came back to the ground and she stopped glowing.


    ¡°YOU KILLED HIM!¡± Maya yelled with both anger and sadness while tears ran down her face.


    ¡°That was the point.¡± Rose said calmly.


    Maya waved her hand in a slapping motion and and a giant blue hand appeared in mid air and smacked Rose sending her flying across the parking lot with great speed and smacked into the wall making a hole in it. Maya started feeling for a pulse and found a very feint one in his neck.


    ¡°He¡¯s alive!¡± Maya said happily ¡°But he¡¯s going fast.¡±


    Maya leaned over to Nick and down using his chest a pillow while listening to his heart beat.


    ¡°I think I can save him, I learned some healing spells with The Master. Let me go get my staff to make the ritual. Keep an eye on him and keep him safe.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°OK.¡± Sophia said.


    Maya ran back into the inn, she rushed rapidly towards their room she didn¡¯t bother to unlock the door she just flung the door off its hinges she rushed towards her staff when she grabbed it there were a lot of people standing in the doorway with murderous looks in their eyes. She tapped her staff against the floor and all of the people went flying back against the wall hard enough to knock out normal people but they were robots so it didn¡¯t effect them. The action allowed for Maya to slip through and head back to Nick. When Maya got back she used her staff to draw markings around Nick, she walked over to a circle on the edge of the markings and stood in it. She started mumbling words that sounded like another language and tapped the ground with her staff every so often. Maya¡¯s hair started to lift as did Sophia¡¯s as if gravity had just given up and their hair was just floating. Maya started to lift of the ground and glow a bright pink, she slowly floated over towards Nick. When she was a few feet away she raised her hands and a pink glowing ball of energy started to form in her hands. When she finished generating the ball of energy it slowly floated out of her hands and into Nick¡¯s chest. Nick started breathing more normally than the shallow breathes he was just taking. He started to sit up but fell on his back again into his indent in the cement clutching his ribs.


    ¡°Ow ow ow ow ow.¡± Nick said in pain


    ¡°I thought you healed him?¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°I did I just can¡¯t heal bones and skin I can only heal organs which what was damaged with him.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Great, so I just have to lay here and let my ribs heal up.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Yeah I guess if you don''t want pain because we can¡¯t get a doctor or anything.¡± Maya said.

 Chapter 6: Is it... Over

    Nick layed in bed looking at the ceiling one hand on his ribs which were now wrapped up in a cast like substance, the other hand dangling off of the side of the bed holding the T.V. remote. The T.V. was on and Nick was watching it when Maya walked in with a pizza. Nick got excited and tried to get up realizing that his ribs were broken so he flopped back down.


    ¡°Calm down it¡¯s only pizza.¡± Maya said opening the box on the table beside him.


    ¡°Yeah, but I would have done that for any food because we haven¡¯t eaten since detention.¡± Nick said arguably.


    ¡°I guess you have a point. Plus the two years in the Master¡¯s room, which shouldn¡¯t we be dead?¡± Maya said looking at the ceiling pondering what she had just said.


    ¡°Yeah¡­ Wait He told me thirst nor hunger increases or effects you when you¡¯re in the room.¡± Nick answered.


    ¡°Well I guess that would make sense¡­ Anyways let¡¯s eat.¡± Maya said while grabbing a piece of pizza.


    Maya put a piece of pepperoni pizza on a plate and gave it to Nick. Nick took it and started to inhale it but stopped when the door slammed open to Sophia running in.


    ¡°They have Rose!!!¡± Sophia said yelling.


    Maya and Nick immediately took action they got up from the bed but as soon as Nick got up he feel over back onto the bed clutching his ribs hard while yelping.


    ¡°Stay here and take care of Nick.¡± Maya said to Sophia.


    ¡°Ok.¡± Sophia said running back to Nick who was trying to get up again.


    ¡°No don¡¯t get up just lay down.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°I have to help, I need to save her.¡± He said with his fist clenched.


    Sophia stopped in awe from his determination, even though she was the one that put him in the bed and broke his bones.


    Nick could feel his power rising to new limits, limits that he had never reached before. His gauntlets appeared along with his boots, a blue aura started to form around Nick. He started to float up in the air, his arms and legs were spread apart making the shape of a star. A battle suit started to form around him, the pieces of the suit floated around him ad they had the same design and style of the boots and gauntlets, once all of the pieces were there they slammed into him forming a battle suit around him. He fell back to his feet and Sophia fainted soon after he was on his feet. Nick saw that she was falling and rushed to help her and got to her faster than he ever had gone before. Three men bashed down the door and they were cyborgs they ran at them but they were much faster than the ones he had fought with the Master, as they rushed towards them Sophia woke up. As she gained consciousness all she saw was her move from Nick¡¯s arms to the bed and the tree men fall to the ground almost instantly. With a blur of gold streaking past them. Then Nick in his battle suit stopped in front of Sophia and he held out his hand.


    ¡°Come on we need to find the others.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°OK.¡± Sophia said shakily still recovering from fainting and what she had just witnessed.


    She reached out and grabbed his hand. He stooped her up into his arms and within a few seconds they were standing in front of Maya and Rose who were chained up to a wall.


    ¡°Sophia you came!¡± Rose said excitedly.


    ¡°I told you to watch over Nick they sent troops over to take care of you two.¡± Maya said


    ¡°I¡¯m right here.¡± Nick said through his battle suit as it disappeared in a blue haziness.


    Maya and Rose both looked at him.


    ¡°But what about your broken ribs.¡± Maya said.

    ¡°Hey there they are they¡¯re in here.¡± A masculine voice said from the other side of the window of the room.


    ¡°Get us out of here!¡± Rose yelled at them.


    Nick ran over to them and grabbed the chains and tried to snap them in half but he couldn¡¯t he tried again and pulled even harder but still nothing.


    ¡°These are really strong chains.¡± Nick said.


    Two men barged into the room while pulling out guns. They pointed them at Nick and Sophia. They shot them with small darts before they could react. Nick started to get droopy and his eyelids got heavy as he fell to the ground. He could feel the pain of him hitting the hard floor but was too tired to care, then he blacked out.


    Nick woke up next to Sophia in a dark room he could barely see the door on the other side of the room. He looked over at Sophia who was still out like a light he tried to get up but couldn¡¯t, then he realized that he had been bolted to the ground with metal curling around his boots to keep him from moving them. He deactivated his power and his boots and gauntlets disappeared which made his feet reasonably smaller and he was able to slip out of the metal holding him to the ground. He rushed over to Sophia and tried to get her out of the chains.


    ¡°Sophia wake up! Come on we have to get out of here!¡± Nick said.


    Sophia moaned and her eyes opened. She immediately shot awake once she saw she was in a dark room with Nick trying to get the chains off of her.


    ¡°Where are we?¡± Sophia asked.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know.¡± Nick answered still fixed on getting her out of the cuffs.


    ¡°Here someone comes.¡± Sophia said. ¡°Hide.¡±


    ¡°No, I have a better idea.¡± Nick said.


    He walked over to the spot where the metal was still bolted to the floor. He slipped his feet back in and used his powers to make the metal a snug fit on his feet again. A few men barged in soon after nick had finished.


    ¡°Come on you are coming with us.¡± One of the men said.


    The other men went up to Nick and Sophia and unchained and unbolted them from the walls and floor.


    ¡°Come on let¡¯s go.¡± One of the men said dragging Nick and Sophia out of the room. ¡°Stop dragging your feet.¡±


    Nick looked at the men, they looked normal and not like those cyborgs he saw earlier. He thought that if he could take them out then he would have time to go find Rose and Maya and get out of there with everyone. He looked down the hall and there was no one other than the men escorting them to their new destination. His hands were behind his back but he knew he could still take out normal people without his hands. He planted his feet starting to take action, he jumped over the man¡¯s head doing a backflip landing right in front of him. He swiped out the man¡¯s feet out from under him by kicking him in the side of the leg. He fell hard to the ground due to his thick build, but before he hit the ground Nick was already in the air rushing towards the next man. Nick kicked the man in the face, but he didn¡¯t go down instead he stumbled but stayed standing. Nick noticed he didn¡¯t go down and jumped and wrapped his legs around the man¡¯s head and used his body force and momentum to pull the man to the floor knocking him out in the process. The last man ran towards Sophia to grab her, Nick took immediate action, Nick ran for the man but wasn¡¯t fast enough and the man grabbed Sophia and held her in between him and Nick.


    ¡°You¡¯ll have to go through her to get to me, are you willing to sacrifice your friend just to get me.?¡± The man said with a smug smile on his face.


    ¡°No, I wouldn¡¯t sacrifice my friend to get to you. But I don¡¯t need to, all I need to do to wipe the smirk off your face like th--¡± Nick already was jumping over both of them, he landed right behind the man and finished his sentence. ¡±--is.¡± He pried the man off of Sophia and punched him straight through the wall.


    ¡°Are you ok?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Yeah, I think so.¡± Sophia answered.


    ¡°Come on let¡¯s go find the others.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ok.¡± Sophia agreed.


    As they ran down the halls they stopped at every doorway to check if they were in the room. Once they had checked the entire building in every nook and cranny they went to the control room to keep looking but that would make it easier to find them. They headed for the door in the room that they were currently but it slammed shut, Nick ran to the door and started bashing it with his fists trying to break it down but not there wasn¡¯t even a dent in it. Soon after the door closed a T.V. turned on in the corner there was a man standing in what looked like a plain room that had no distinct details.


    ¡°Hello, I guess you are wondering why you are locked in a room with no escape. Well let me tell you, I have planted a bomb right under your feet. We can¡¯t have pesky kids like you running around ruining our plans and taking out our troops. My name is Harold Abner the leader of the eis and the eis is going to blow up this entire dimension and you along with it. Have fun in the afterlife.¡± The man finished, Soon the T.V. turned off and retracted into the wall.


    ¡°What there is a bomb underneath us right now.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°Yeah, we walked right into a trap.¡± Nick said.


    Nick walked over to the door and punched it but again nothing happened. The T.V. came back out of the wall and turned on again and the man started talking again.


    ¡°Oh, and by the way this room has dampened your powers so I guess it is over for you.¡±

 Chapter 7: Escape

    ¡°Eis, what does that stand for.¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°It stands for Evil Interdimensional Scientists.¡± The man in the T.V. said.


    ¡°What kind of a name is that?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well it¡¯s a name that we came up with to simplify what we do.¡± The man said.


    ¡°That¡¯s a dumb name.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well what do you suppose our name should be little boy.¡± The man said.


    ¡°ISOOBH.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°What does that stand for?¡± The man asked interested¡±


    ¡°Interdimensional scientist organisation of butt heads.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Hmmmm¡­ I like it I mean we do have one guy who wanted his name in the title.¡± The man said. ¡°Well in a few seconds the bomb is going to go off and you are going to be in heaven. Oh and look at this your friends are here to see you off.¡±


    The T.V. switched screens and showed Maya and Rose tied up and being forced to look out at a building that was barricaded and had bombs all over the top and sides of it.


    ¡°They are making them watch, those evil butt heads.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°Another reason for them to be named ISOOBH.¡± Nick said


    ¡°Why do we have to watch this?!¡± Maya said with tear lines on her face.

Because once you¡¯ve seen something devastating, you will be mentally tortured about it for the rest of your life, which will be spent in our dungeon.¡± The man from the T.V. said to her. ¡°And in a few seconds that building is going to blow up into a million pieces along with your friends in it.¡±


    ¡°No!¡± Maya yelled.

    She could feel the anger rising out of her. The ground started to quake beneath their feet. All of them except the man from the T.V.

    ¡°I am going to kill you!¡± Maya yelled at the man.


    ¡°By the way my name is Alan the leader of eis¡­ I mean ISOOBH. I just think you should know my name before you kill me.¡± Alan said calmly.

She swung the sword at his face but stopped inches from his face with Alan not moving or flinching at all.     Nick and Sophia were trying to find a way out of the room. Nick turned around and to his surprise was staring into the eyes of the Master.


    ¡°What how did you get in here?¡± Nick asked truly puzzled.


    ¡°Hurry you must create a protective shield around you and Sophia using the power of the gauntlets.¡± The master said with rush in his voice.


    ¡°What how do I do that?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°I taught you how to channel you powers to use it to put power on your hits now I will teach you how to use you power to create a protective shield around a space that you are in.¡± The Master said. ¡°Now focus your energy into your gauntlets and instead of forcing the power out force the power inward which will create a chain reaction with your body to make it expand and protect you from harm.¡±


    ¡°Ok, I¡¯ll try¡­ come here Sophia.¡± Nick said


    Sophia ran to Nick who started to focus his energy, he started to concentrate all of the energy inward but the building started to collapse and blow up. The shock knocked over Sophia onto Nick who held her in his arms to protect her from harm. He could feel the energy expanding out of him. He heard a giant boom and the building blew up around them with fire engulfing the shield that Nick had just produced produced. When the fire cleared up for the most part they were able to escape.


    ¡°Wait where is The Master?¡± Nick asked looking around wildly for The Master.


    ¡°I am fine Nick go save Maya, make sure not to be seen so you can have the element of surprise.¡± The disembodied voice of The Master said.


    At that moment the ground started to shake and Nick and Sophia lost their balance and fell over.


    ¡°What was that?¡± Sophia asked.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know but I am guessing it has something to do with Maya.


    Maya was kneeling on the ground sobbing as Alan walked up to her and put a weird pair of handcuffs on her.


    ¡°That was much more power than we ever thought you would be able to produce that much power all on your own.¡± Alan said.


    ¡°You don¡¯t want to know my limits.¡± Maya said to Alan with an evil glare in her eyes.


    ¡°Well I guess we will never know what your true limits are because those cuffs are made for one purpose and that is to neutralize powers of our enemies.¡± Alan said with a smirk on his face.


    Alan bent over to getting really close to Maya¡¯s face. He was about to say something when Nick bashed his hand through the ground right under Alan¡¯s head which allowed Nick to get a nice uppercut straight into his chin. Alan stumbled backwards from the blow, he moved his jaw up and down and massaging it.


    ¡°That actually hurt, congratulations you are one of the first ten to land a blow on me.¡± Alan said.


    ¡°Why is that are you just that pathetic that no one wants to hurt you.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°No, I am just that strong.¡± Alan said as he disappeared into a blur.


    Maya saw watched as Nick started floating and a battle suit started forming around him. He landed on the ground with no skin showing being completely covered in armour that had the same design as his gauntlets and boots. She watched as Nick also disappeared in a blur only his left be hind a blue haziness in the form of a human body that slowly evaporated into the air. All of a sudden Maya heard Nick¡¯s voice yell but she couldn¡¯t make out what he said because the voice had come and gone to way too fast. Then she felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck, and everything went black.


    Maya woke up in her bed back at home with her Mom, Dad, and brother standing next to her bed.


    ¡°She¡¯s awake. How are you honey.¡± Her Mom said while holding her hand.


    Maya raised out of bed and looked around and said. ¡°Where is Nick? Is he ok?¡± She asked with slight worry in her voice.


    ¡°Who?¡± Her mom asked ¡°Oh that nice boy who made sure you got back to us before you passed out.¡±


    ¡°What?¡± Maya said.


    ¡°You must not remember you got detention and when you got home he was with you supporting you, he had your arm slung over his back and was walking with you all the way here to make sure you made it home.¡± Her Dad said.


    ¡°Yeah, and when you got here you passed out immediately, so we brought you to your bed. You have been out like a light for the past few days.¡± Her brother said.


    ¡°We-we-we made it home.¡± Maya said quietly.


    ¡°What?¡± Her mom said.


    ¡°Oh nothing.¡± she said.


    ¡°We¡¯ll give you some time to recuperate hun.¡± Her mom said as her family was leaving the room.


    ¡°Yeah, thank you.¡± Maya said.

 Chapter 8: Home

    Maya laid in her bed staring at the ceiling wondering how she could have gotten home. The last thing she remembered was getting stabbed in the back of the neck with something sharp. She looked around her room for anything suspicious but saw only her room the way she had left it before she had gone to school. It was as if she never came and raided her room for clothes. Since everything was the same as she left it that morning before her life changed forever. She tried to use her powers to grab a brush as she did when she was at the hotel, but nothing happend. She tried again only focusing more this time, still nothing. She tried increasing her powers strength with the hand signs The Master taught her. She moved her hands in different orders and then focused on the brush again, but still nothing. She finally gave up and just walked over and picked it up and started brushing her hair looking in the mirror that was on her dresser. She heard the doorbell go off and hurried down to get it hoping it was Nick so he could explain what was going on. When she got to the door she opened to see Nick standing there.


    ¡°Oh when did you wake up?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Just a few minutes ago, come inside I need to ask you something.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Ok¡­¡± Nick said unsurely.


    Maya grabbed Nick¡¯s hand and brought him upstairs to her room. She walked him in and then closed the door.


    ¡°So, what happened while I was out? How did we get home?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°Well after detention you started getting woozy and you said you wanted to go home and so I helped you here. When your family got to the door they brought you up to your room and I left to my house and went to school. I stopped by every day since I brought you here to see if you had woken up yet and so now here I am.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Stop lying my mom or dad aren¡¯t here to hear you so you can tell the truth.¡± Maya said calmly but still a bit paranoid.


    ¡°I¡¯m not lying that is exactly how it happened.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Fine I will just ask Sophia then.¡± Maya said angrily. ¡°I thought i could trust you.¡± Maya said as she stormed out of the room.


    Maya was walking down the street to Sophia¡¯s house to find out what was going on, when she saw a drunk driver heading straight for her, she tried to use her powers to stop the car out of instinct but nothing happened the car was still speeding towards her. She tried to get out of the way but the car stopped very quickly right before it hit her. The car seemed to rewind and go backwards for a little bit and then continued on it¡¯s normal trail that it had just went before when it was about to hit Maya. Maya stared at the car driving in a very uncoordinated way going from the street to the sidewalk and then back to the street. By this point she new something was wrong and that she was being watched. She knew she couldn¡¯t trust anyone, except The Master. She ran as fast as she could to the school which felt really slow because she was used to using magic to get around. When she got there she was panting and sweating so much people could have thought she just took a shower and was holding her breath for a long time. When she got to the school she went into the back alley and found where the fake wall was, only it was real wall now and not an illusion. She ran back home trying to figure this out, she knew she couldn¡¯t trust anyone so she tried to figure out how to fix this on her own. She got to her house and ran into her room and then realized if she had been at her house for the past few days they probably had eyes on her in her house so she could even trust anything in her room for it could be something bad. She ran to an old abandoned building that hadn¡¯t been used for centuries. She entered but when she entered she heard people talking, she then realized it was Nick, Sophia, and Rose talking. She couldn¡¯t hear it though her ears though she could only hear it in her head as if they were telepathically talking to her.This story originates from a different website.     ¡°How are we going to get me back.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Try talking to The Master.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°I tried but it is as if everything we knew since that day is just gone and whiffed out of existence.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Why are you at the old building anyways.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°This is the only place I can think of that isn¡¯t trapped since this is a different dimension-ish place.¡± Maya said.

    ¡°I was doing research from when you were gone to now and I read that there is something called the Dimensional Leaper serum and it is extracted from certain objects that pertain to that dimension called Dimension Leapers. So in other less scientific words if you can find an item that you can only find in that dimension and touch it you will be transported to a new dimension.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well how will I know that it pertains to this dimension alone?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°Well I guess you can¡¯t without your powers.¡± Nick said


    ¡°But I can¡¯t use them they just won¡¯t work.¡± Maya said as if she was confused and mad that her powers wouldn¡¯t work.


    ¡°I bet they are being jammed by some sort of mechanism that Alan setup to keep you there forever.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well I¡¯d better go find and destroy it.¡± Maya said with determination.


    Maya left the building.


    ¡°Hey Nick.¡± Maya said.


    She waited but there was no reply.


    ¡°Nick?¡± Maya said with question in her voice.


    Again there was no answer. She reentered the building and repeated herself.


    ¡°Nick are you there?¡± Maya asked focusing and trying to hear them.


    ¡°Yeah we are here, but where did you go?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°What I was wondering where you went.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Oh you must be standing in a weak point in your dimension.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Weak point?¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Yeah you can communicate with other dimensions in the weak point of a dimension.¡± Nick said ¡°I read that too.¡± Nick finished proudly.


    ¡°Oh well goodbye I need to go this power stopper and then find the Dimension Leaper.¡± Maya said as she stepped out of the building determined to complete her mission.

 Chapter 9: Huntsman

    Maya was walking next to a water fountain while she looked for the power jammer. She walked around the fountain a few times looking for anything that could give her a lead. She looked up at the top of the fountain and noticed that the top of the fountain had an angel that looked as if it was spurting water but when she put her hand through it, nothing happened to the water. She figured it was just another weird thing in that world but she saw a projector at the top of the fountain and when she saw that, all of her suspicions fell into place. She stepped into the water, and started to climb the statue. When she got to the top she grabbed the top of the projector. As she did this the bottom of fountain where the water was had four walls that started rising from the bottom. When the walls came above the water the statue started splitting into fours, with a tube in the center as if you were suppose to jump and slide down it. She hesitantly jumped into the tube. As she slid down the tube she slowly started getting drowsy but she knew she couldn¡¯t fall asleep right now, now that she had a lead. She managed to stay awake the whole ride down she landed in a dark room which didn¡¯t help her drowsiness. When she landed she wasn¡¯t able to stay on her feet and fell to her knees. She looked around to see two doors on either side of the room. A man with a thick build but still tall stood in the middle of the room. She tried to keep consciousness, but the longer she sat there she got more tired and it took more focus to remain awake. She eventually passed out onto the floor, she was in a deep sleep before she even hit the ground.


    Maya woke up in a room similar to the room she had been in when she was first kidnapped. She looked over to see a stairwell just like the one she had seen Nick in when they had escaped and transported to the new dimension.


    ¡°Ahhh, You¡¯re awake.¡± a familiar voice said behind her.


    She wiped her head around to see who the voice had come from, she saw Alan standing there with a grin going from ear to ear.


    ¡°Where am I?¡± Maya asked demandingly.


    ¡°You are in our headquarters.¡± Alan said still grinning.


    ¡°Where is Nick?¡± She asked even more demanding.


    ¡°We are still trying to find him, but we have your other friends, who now that we are talking about them are about to be dissected and studied just like you.¡± Alan said.


    ¡°What, no I was just talking with them though.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°What, oh no you never made contact with them you were in the dream world I created for you.¡± Alan said.


    ¡°What, but what about the Dimension Leapers?¡± Maya said.


    ¡°What, how do you know about those? We are the only ones who know about them.¡± Alan said confused.


    ¡°Sir.¡± A dark haired women said who was sitting at a computer.


    ¡°Yes.¡± Alan said turning to face her.


    ¡°I just ran some tests on her brain patterns and apparently she knows about everything that happened to her while she was in the comma but it was slightly twisted to making her think she was living free and in a different dimension from all of us.¡± The women said.


    ¡°WHAT.¡± Alan said angrily. ¡°What was the last thing you remember before you woke up.¡± Alan said turning towards Maya.


    ¡°Well I came through a giant pipe I discovered in a water fountain and came out in a dark room with a man standing there with a door to my left and right and then I went unconscious from being so tired.¡± Maya explained.

    ¡°If they are so elite why haven¡¯t you tried to nab us using them and instead using your normal everyday grunts?¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Well for one our grunts are much more disposable than our huntsmen, another reason is that we didn¡¯t know what you could handle so we didn¡¯t want to send in really strong troops and find out that you were just a few weak kids, but now we know not to mess around.¡± The women said.


    ¡°That is right you don¡¯t want to mess with us.¡± A voice said coming from all directions, the voice sounded strange as if the voice was moving so fast that their voice was being distorted.


    ¡°Who is there?¡± Alan said, he seemed to be back to normal.


    ¡°Give me the girl.¡± The voice said once again sounding like it was coming from everywhere.


    ¡°Why do you want her?¡± Alan said.


    ¡°Why? So we can study her, we have never seen power like hers.¡± The voice said.

    The rooms lights started flickering, Alan seemed like he was yelling but no sound was projected. Alan disappeared once again just like when she last saw Nick. The women she had just been talking to fell to the ground hard but also made no noise when she hit the ground. Maya then realized the slight blurs that were going around the room, the blurs were moving so fast they were barely visible. There blurs were moving so fast that all of the sound was being sucked up and she couldn¡¯t even hear herself yell out for someone to help her. All of a sudden she was wisping through the air at what seemed like the speed of light when she stopped and was sitting on the ground of a room with Sophia and Rose tied up to the wall with bruises and cuts all over their bodies, their clothes slightly ripped and dirt smudges all over the ripped clothes. Maya ran over to Sophia to help her out of the ropes and chains when a man suddenly appears in between her and Sophia. The man was tall and thin but still had muscles bulging from his biceps. Maya stared at him for a while waiting for him to react and attack her, but he didn¡¯t. The man started to fall as if he was tackled but moved out of view so fast Maya didn¡¯t even see a blur. She felt wind wiping around her making her hair flip up into her face. All of a sudden the wind stopped and the man that had been standing there before was now on the floor, his body had been ripped in half but again was no human and had wires stringing out of his torso and waist. She looked up next to see a man in a suit of armour. The armour was black plated with red in between the plates, his forearms were glowing a bright blue with electricity running through as if it was raw power running through his forearms. The man was hovering in the air a few feet above the ground. He disappeared in a blur of blue lightning. Maya started to Sophia when she realized that she was gone. She looked over at Rose and ran at her, when she disappeared in a blue blur also. Maya started to get scared for the first time she tried using her powers again to protect herself so she wouldn¡¯t get taken either, but again nothing just like at her house she realized that the power jammer probably did really exist and she had to get rid of that to use her powers. In an electric burst she saw the man standing in front of her, she was so scared for her life at this point her powers activated completely out of fear, a blue hazy aura surrounded her, she felt something burn on the back of her neck, as soon as the burning stopped she could feel her power rising up as if it was locked away. That is when she realized that the power jammer was attached to the back of her neck and she shorted it out when she got so scared that her emotions took control of her power. She regained confidence and she felt as if she could do anything once again. She focused and used her powers to throw the man against the wall but nothing happened, she closed her eyes and focused even more. The man soon went flying against the wall. She used her powers to summon her blue broadsword she jumped and used her powers expertly to boost herself faster towards the man to get a harder swing with her sword. As she approached she winded up for the attack and swung when she got close enough. She felt her sword hit something hard and figured she had hit the wall after cutting straight through him, but when she looked the man had his arm outstretched with his forearm aiming up with a blue shield projecting from his forearm. The blue shield had the same look as her sword, blue, see through, and magical.


    The voice she had heard before when she was with Alan started ringing in the room but this time she knew the man she was attacking was talking. ¡°Stop, it¡¯s me Nick I am trying to help.¡±

 Chapter 10: Training

    Maya stopped attacking him and her sword disappeared. She looked at him thoughtfully. ¡°What did you say?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°I said that it is me Nick and I want to help.¡± The man said.


    ¡°I don¡¯t believe you, Nick had a golden suit when I left, and he wasn¡¯t even close to that kind of power you exerted there, He couldn¡¯t even do what you did with the shield.¡± Maya pointed out somewhat angry.


    ¡°Maya, I have gotten more powerful since you left, I knew that when I lost you I had to get strong to be able to protect everything else that I love.¡± The man said.


    ¡°No, I can¡¯t believe you, you have no proof.¡± Maya said looking away slightly.


    ¡°I can prove it. The man said.


    ¡°How?¡± Maya said.


    ¡°You just have to come with me and I will explain everything.¡± The man said.

    ¡°Hey there she is, Alan wants her alive, Huntsman attack!¡± A man said standing in the doorway.


    ¡°God how many of these huntsman do they have.¡± The man said as he disappeared into


    thin air, the huntsman entered the room and also disappeared into thin air. Maya watched the for the men who disappeared waiting for them to reappear. She realized that her hair was flipping around again as if there was high gusts of wind hitting her repeatedly. She looked at the man who commanded the huntsman to attack, he was slowly edging towards her with knife in one hand. Once he got close enough he jumped at her aiming for her legs as if to cut them so she couldn¡¯t walk. The man quickly fell towards her with the knife out aimed straight at her legs. All of a sudden the man went flying to the wall smashing straight through it, where the man used to be the man claim he was Nick stood in a position that made it look like he had punched something the man disappeared again with great speed. She kept watching when one of the hunters appeared and fell to the ground missing his head, but again more wires were protruding from his neck. Before she had time to process that he was there the other one landed right next to the first one also missing his head. Maya realized with both of them gone the man would grab her and take her to wherever they needed to go, so she took a deep breath and closed her mouth while also plugging her nose. She waited a few seconds like this, and then she was somewhere else, she stopped holding her breath and unplugged her nose she looked around to see a lot of computers and a nice area with a few doors to the right of her with a door to the right of her. She looked at the design of the walls and realized that it was designed like The Master¡¯s lair under the school. Sophia and Rose stood at one of the computers looking at something, when the man said something behind her, but she wasn¡¯t paying attention and didn¡¯t hear what he said, she turned around to ask what he said when she saw Nick with the suit she had seen before only this time he had his head open and not covered by the mask she had seen.


    ¡°What?¡± Maya said with tears growing in her eyes. ¡°It really is you.¡± She ran up to him and hugged him.


    The commotion had caught Sophia and Rose¡¯s attention and they ran over and joined the hug.


    ¡°We missed you.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°Yeah we sure did, Nick especially.¡± Rose said glancing at Nick.


    ¡°I was only gone for three days.¡± Maya said

    ¡°You said that there is something in every Dimension that is called a ¡®Dimension Leaper¡¯. This ¡®Dimension Leaper¡¯ can be anything you can find, but if you touch it it will transport you to a new Dimension.¡± Maya said.


    Nick¡¯s face brightened ¡°So we can get home using these.¡± He said.


    ¡°Yeah, but we don¡¯t know what they look like because each one is different and no one knows what each one looks like.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Wait, does this mean that the part of the wall we went though to come here was a Dimension Leaper?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Yeah I guess.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Anyways we need to train you.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Hmm.¡± Maya said. ¡°And you know how to train me.¡±


    ¡°Yep I found The Masters book about how he trained you and his next steps he was going to take with you.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Wait where is The Master.¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°He was captured and we don¡¯t know where he was brought so that is what Sophia was doing, she was trying to locate him.¡± Nick said. ¡°Anyways time to start follow me.¡±


    Nick started off walking towards one of the doors. Maya followed him without hesitation. As Nick walked to the door his new suit of armour started to disappear in a blue aura. When they reached the door Nick looked like normal only older than she remembered him, which made sense because she had been gone for three years. Nick opened the door and gestured for Maya to go in, Nick entered after Maya. Maya walked into a dark room with Nick fallowing her, ¡°first task, use your powers to light the room.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°I would like to see you do that first.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Ok, let me show you how it is done.¡± Nick said.


    Maya turned around in the darkness to where she heard Nick¡¯s voice. She saw a low blue light in the middle of what would be his torso.


    ¡°Is that it.¡± Maya said disappointed.


    ¡°No not even close.¡± Nick said


    Maya kept watching but still nothing happened, she stared at the light for a little while and eventually the little blue light became bigger and brighter, she waited and watched it grow. When it grew the size of a head it split apart into four different parts and flew to the four different corners of the room. The room was now completely lit and had very few shadows from the positions of the lights and how bright they were.


    ¡°Like that.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Wow,¡± Maya said in awe. ¡°How did you do that without magic like me.¡±


    ¡°I use the power I can exert from the suits forearms. By the way the blue electricity on my suit¡¯s forearms is pure power, my own power.¡±


    ¡°Impressive.¡± Maya said.


    Nick blushed slightly. ¡°Anyways let¡¯s see you do it.¡± He said.


    ¡°Ok here it goes.¡± Maya said as she closed her eyes.


    Maya put her hands out infront of her, she started focusing her power to her hands. She could feel the power rushing through her and into her hands. The power was tame but wild at the same time, she had never really tried to focus on using her power so the feeling was new. She opened her eyes to see a giant sphere in her hands. Maya¡¯s power sphere was considerably bigger than Nick¡¯s while also being much more blinding. She focused more to tear it apart and send it to the four corners of the room, when she did she looked at Nick who looked very impressed.


    ¡°Nice that is a lot better than I can do period and I have had three extra years to practice.¡± Nick said. ¡°Next order of business, Dismissing the light.¡±


    ¡°I think I can do that one on my own.¡± Maya said confidently.


    ¡°Ok let¡¯s see it.¡± Nick said.


    Maya closed her eyes once again and moved her hand dismissively, as soon as she did this all the power she had just lost returned to her and she could feel it in her hands again.


    ¡°Nice, You apparently don¡¯t need my help.¡± Nick said


    ¡°No no no, I need it because without you I would not know it existed.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Yeah I guess, I guess I did find out we can do that.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ok so what¡¯s next?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°Now it is time to control the true potential of your power as I did.¡± Nick said in a serious tone.

 Chapter 11: True Potential

    Maya sat in the middle of the room with a magic shield around her and Nick while the


    robots Nick had programed attacked the shield to get to them. Maya was learning to completely control the normal amount of her power, NIck told Maya to attack them as she was also guarding them to see if she could handle herself in a true fight while having a shield up. She closed her eyes once again and focused her power she could feel the power rising out of her, Nick watched as her entire body started glowing with a hazy red aura.


    ¡°That color is new.¡± Nick said to Maya.


    ¡°Huh.¡± Maya said as she opened her eyes to see her body was glowing red.


    ¡°How¡¯d you get that color?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know.¡± She said as her color slowly reverted back to it¡¯s normal blue.


    Nick¡¯s face brightened as if he had an idea. ¡°You probably just used your full power!¡±


    ¡°What, I did?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°Yeah, that would be the most logical explanation.¡± Nick said. ¡°Try to do it again only this time release it in one huge attack.¡±


    ¡°Ok I will try.¡± Maya said.


    Maya closed her eyes once again and started focusing her power once again when she opened her eyes she was glowing blue still and tried to focus more on her power. After a little bit when she noticed a slightly different feeling inside the power. She focused on that and found that it was not the same power as she usually used. She followed the power into her usual power reserve, she searched her power reserve and soon found a small island of red power in surrounded by all her blue power she focused more on the island she had found and started drawing power from that. She felt the power running through her, it felt familiar yet different. She opened her eyes to see her glowing a much darker shade of red from when she had glowed before. The shield slowly started changing from blue to red, when the robots hit the shield in the parts where it was red they flew smashing into the wall. Eventually the entire shield had become red and the robots that were attacking, once they hit the wall and fell on the floor they got up and went back to attacking the shield. Maya, still glowing closed her eyes again and put one hand out. When she opened her eyes she swiped her hands in a sideways cutting motion, when her hand aligned with one of the robots they split into two halves at the level of her hand. She swiped her hand all the way across her torso and cut every single robot in half. Nick stood in awe his jaw was dropped.


    ¡°Wh-wha-wha,¡± Nick stuttered. ¡°What power.¡±


    Maya looked at herself as she slowly stopped glowing along with the shield.


    ¡°How did you have that much power and never have used it before?¡± Nick said still in awe.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know I just found it surrounded by my normal power, there wasn¡¯t much of it though.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Wasn¡¯t much, how, if I wanted to do that I would have to use a tremendous amount of power.¡± Nick saidYou could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.


    ¡°Well I don¡¯t know but I barely used any of it.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Try using all of it to it¡¯s limits.¡± Nick said not quite sure he wanted to see what she could do with her full power.


    Maya closed her eyes once more to focus on the power but to her surprise she had no trouble getting to it, she looked for her original power but couldn¡¯t find it, she turned to Nick.


    ¡°Nick, my blue power is gone.¡± Maya said to Nick


    ¡°What, that means, that when you used your more powerful power it completely overtook you other power, by the sounds of it, it would not have been able to do that but since you gave it a jumpstart it completely just ate your blue power.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ok, that means if I didn¡¯t use it I would still have my blue power.¡±


    ¡°Yes, My guess is when your shield turned red that was when it was eating at your blue power.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ok then let me try and use my full power, Might want to power up so you can dodge easy just in case.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°That would be smart.¡± Nick said.


    Nick soon started glowing with blue power Maya had seen before with his previous suit, soon after he started glowing he had a his newer suit with the glowing forearms.


    ¡°Ready.¡± Nick said in a different and more robotic voice.


    Maya closed her eyes but as she did that she realised she didn¡¯t have to focus really hard to access her new power, all she had to do was try and use her old power and the new power would bloom. She opened her eyes, the walls dropped as they did in The Master¡¯s room, robots started pouring out of the openings in the wall. Maya put her hands out to make her maximum arm span going side to side, a mysterious wind picked up in the room, the wind had no way of entering or exiting, and yet got stronger and stronger. The wind eventually got strong enough to move the robots, the robots tried to keep their ground but slide slowly across the floor. The wind was still getting more and more powerful. Maya slowly brought her hands together, as she did this the wind started twisting around the same spot, when her hands finally came together there was a full on hurricane right in front of them. The wind started plucking the robots off the ground when it got close enough, Maya steered where the hurricane went by aiming her hands at a spot and the hurricane slowly traveled to the spot Maya had designated. Maya brought one hand away from the other and brought it above her while the other stayed locked on the hurricanes destination. She flattened the hand that was above her, Nick watched as power flowed out of her hand and into the air where it was forming what looked like a boulder made of power. Maya clenched her fist when the boulder was three time the size of Nick, and Nick was six foot four inches. When she clenched her fist the boulder split into a million little tiny pieces that looked like pinkie fingers only they came to a point on one side she quickly moved her hand at the hurricane, all the little rocks flew to where Maya was pointing and into the hurricane. The rocks disappeared in the hurricane for a few seconds, all of a sudden the rocks flew out like bullets of a machine gun, only the rocks were flying in all directions. Maya set up a shield so none of the rocks would hit her, Nick disappeared moving as fast as he could trying to dodge all of the rocks. After the rocks stopped flying out of the hurricane Maya commanded the hurricane to stop, once she did it slowly disappeared. She looked around at all the robots on the floor, they all had a thousand little holes the size of pinkies.


    ¡°That was a tremendously powerful attack.¡± Nick said still not visible.


    ¡°That wasn¡¯t even half of my power, I figured once I got to that mark that if I used it all I would destroy the building and kill everyone in it except me because I had the shield.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Yeah, I guess.¡± Nick said as he became visible and fell to the ground without his suit.


    Maya ran to him and kneeled next to him. ¡°What''s wrong.?¡± Maya asked worryful.


    Nick just grunted and rolled over to reveal, five pinkie-sized holes in his torso and chest.


    ¡°OH MY GOD.¡± Maya yelled realizing what she had done and tears started brimming in her eyes and soon became an all out cry.


    She scooped him up with the help of her power she was able to lift him, she ran to the door. Using her power ripped in off the hinges slamming into the wall, she ran frantically through the doorway and yelled, ¡°SOPHIA, ROSE, NICK NEEDS MEDICAL HELP NOW.¡± She said still crying.

 Chapter 12: After Life

    Nick woke up laying down in a cloud floating high above his home town, or at least what seemed like his home town. He looked up to see the stars even though it was bright as day out. He looked back down and found the school where Maya, Sophia and Rose all were probably wondering where he was. Nick stood up and walked to the edge, he figured with his power he could get back down to them. He started to use his power when a voice behind him said,


    ¡°Wait! Do you not want to stay, it¡¯s fine if you don¡¯t, but, you can¡¯t return to that world, you are now dead.¡±


    Nick spun around to see Maya standing right infront of him.


    ¡°What do you mean dead, if you''re here too you must be dead then and you were unharmed, how would you be dead.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°I am dead, I have been dead for decades maybe centuries, it is hard to tell time up here.¡± She said.


    ¡°I was just with you down there.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Oh, no no.¡± She said comfortingly. ¡°My name is Meezan, I took the shape of the person who you cared for the most, to comfort you and let you know you were dead.¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°What do you normally look like?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°I can change back to my normal form if you would like.¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°Yes, please, you are making me uncomfortable in that form, you make her look dead,¡±Nick said, he looked down towards the town, ¡°I would never forgive myself if that happened.¡±


    ¡°I understand how you feel.¡± Meezan said.


    Nick looked up to see Meezan¡¯s body and face started contorting and slowly changed from looking like Maya to a women that looked to be in her late thirties. Her hair grew from her shoulder blades where maya kept it. When her hair finished growing it stopped at her waistline, her hair changed from Maya¡¯s brown to a dirty blonde with some hairs starting to turn grey. She wore a long black dress with sleeves going down to her wrists. She also grew a couple inches in the process, her eyes changed from hazel to a dark red, as if she was possessed by something.


    ¡°Is this better.¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°Yes, thank you.¡± Nick said turning around to look at the town again.

    Meezan appeared right in front of Nick, she was now standing in between him and the edge of the cloud.


    ¡°I told you, you can¡¯t go, I will take you by force if I have to.¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°Wait, how did you get there?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Have you ever heard of the Awakening.¡± Meezan said.


    Nick decided not to let her know that he had the same ability as she did, but he wouldn¡¯t deny that he knew about it. ¡°Yes, I have.¡±


    ¡°Well, I was the first known user of the ability.¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°How did you zoom in front of me without armour or some kind of increased strength?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°You don¡¯t need another ability to use ¡®Awakening¡¯, you see this ability is able to charge and inject power into things, including muscles. So I simply super charged my muscles so I could run faster than the speed of light, which is why you couldn¡¯t see me until I stopped.¡± Meezan explained.


    ¡°Oh, cool. Now if you¡¯ll excuse me I have to get back to my friends.¡± Nick said walking around Meezan.


    Meezan sped in front of him. ¡°You will have to get past me first.¡± She said.


    ¡°Okay, kind of like this.¡± Nick said as he disappeared out of sight with speed.


    ¡°What, You have the ability. I guess I shouldn¡¯t have underestimated you, but still you will stay dead and there is no way of changing that.¡± Meezan said as Nick dashed away.


    Maya stood alone in the main room, she was bent over Nick¡¯s corpse. Tears streamed down her face to her chin and falling on Nick¡¯s chest. Her hand was clutching his hand, she had been like this for the past few hours, Sophia and Rose decided to give Maya some time alone with Nick, they went to go train until Maya came and got them. The holes in Nick still bleeding out uncontrollably. Maya stood up slightly straighter to see his face that had been drained of all of it¡¯s color. She brought her hand to his face and stroked his cheek as she stared at his face and tears rolling down her face. Her hand dropped and she planted her face into his chest as she started to cry harder than she had just been crying.


    Nick stood next to her watching her cry on his corpse, he realized that Meezan had been right, he couldn¡¯t get back. All he could do now was watch Maya cry over his corpse, watching the scene brought tears to his eyes. He would have never been caught dead crying, but here he was, crying. Nick knew he had to find a way back to the real world, but couldn¡¯t think of any way. That is when he had an idea, he if he could leave his body with death maybe he could go back to it. Nick tried returning to his body, but had no luck. He decided that he should go and find help in the afterlife, his goal changed from putting a stop to Alan¡¯s plans, to finding someone who could help him get back to Maya. Nick slowly turned around and started running to the door, before he reached the door he turned his head and said, ¡°I love you.¡± as he ran out the door with a tear falling from his chin to the floor. Nick started to charge up his suit when the ground in front of him blew up into hundreds of pieces as if something landed on it from a high height. He stopped while the dust settled from broken ground, once it settled enough for Nick to see though, he saw Meezan standing right in front of him.


    ¡°What did I tell you.¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°You told me I couldn¡¯t return, and yet here I am.¡± Nick said.

 Chapter 13: After Lands

    Nick woke up in a solid iron cage, his arms and legs spread unnaturally wide, chains kept him off the ground his wrist and ankles were being pulled by chains, the chains were attached the edges of the cage. Once he realized he was chained up, he started pulling with all he had, nothing happened. When he put his power into his muscle and then tried again, he got the same result. He started becoming more aware, he felt an enormous headache, which probably was the after effect of Meezan¡¯s punches. Nick was fully aware now and could feel the heat rising from the ground. He could feel sweat all over his face and body. He looked around and saw that he was in some sort of cave system. There were sharp cone-shaped rocks protruding from the walls, floors, and ceilings. The whole cave was lit evenly with a low dark red light that seemed to have no source. Nick started losing consciousness again. He fought to keep from passing out once again. It faded after a few seconds and Nick was once again fully aware. Nick at one of the offsprings from the space in the cave he was in. He was at such an angle to where he couldn¡¯t see down it but he could see the entrance, after a little bit Nick heard footsteps that came from the tunnel Nick was looking at. A few moments later Meezan appeared in the entrance and started towards Nick.


    ¡°So did you learn not to run, you could have had a much better afterlife, but now you will be tortured for eternity.¡± Meezan Said.


    ¡°No, I didn¡¯t, I will get back to Maya.¡± Nick said weakly.


    ¡°Hmm, too bad for you. How should we start, maybe dislocating the arms.¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°I don¡¯t care what you do to me, I will get back to Maya.¡± Nick said still weakly but with determination.


    ¡°Or maybe cutting off the legs.¡± Meezan said ignoring Nick.


    ¡°What is this good angel, and then bad devil?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Similar yes, only I was nice until you disobeyed my direct orders.¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°Ah, tell me. What metal is this cage made of?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Why do you want to know?¡± Meezan said.


    ¡°It just interests me.¡± Nick said looking along the bars of the cage.


    ¡°Mmhmm.¡± Meezan said interestingly. ¡°Well let¡¯s get started, shall we.¡±


    Meezan walked over and grabbed a knife, ¡°Maybe not cutting off your legs but you will definitely be in pain.¡± She said while she examined the blade.


    She suddenly turned to Nick. She made a smooth swift motion with her arm and wrist. The knife flew out of her hand and cut the edge of Nick¡¯s ear. Nick grimaced in pain. It was just a little cut but it hurt, Nick tried to hide his pain in hopes Meezan would let him out of the cage if she thought he couldn¡¯t be hurt that easily. Nick had finally convinced himself it didn¡¯t hurt that much when Meezan made another smooth swift motion, only this time the knife plunged right into his lower torso just under his stomach. Nick gasped from the pain, the pain had started to become overwhelming. All of a sudden three more knives shot into his torso. One in his upper right corner of his stomach, another in the upper left, the final dead in the center. The blades were at such an angle that they resembled a triangle with another blade in the center. Meezan walked up to him and placed her pointer finger in his blood that was now streaming from the wounds. She traced lines connecting the three outer blades to make a full triangle. Nick was having trouble breathing, Meezan started mumbling some words with her hand out, her palm was on the middle blade. Nick started to feel his inside twist and turn, Meezan pulled her hand away fast and all four blades followed, they pulled out of Nick, and Nick felt a slight sense of relief. But his stomach started twisting and turning more and faster, it slowly became more painful. He started yelling from the pain. Meezan turned around and started toward the tunnel that she had just come from. Nick started yelling louder than he had thought he could possibly yell. Meezan turned around,


    ¡°If you don¡¯t stop that shouting I will bathe you in liquid nitrogen. And trust me you will survive, people have much more survival rates here in the afterlands.¡± Meezan said turning around.


    Nick yelled louder in pain. Meezan turned around and started towards a tank that had crossbones on it. She opened it, as she did this nitrogen gas poured out of the hole, she reached in and pulled out a container that looked like a fire extinguisher. She walked over to Nick and sprayed him in the face with the nitrogen. Nick stopped screaming and looked at her with a very pained face.


    ¡°Better response than usual.¡± Meezan said walking away, she put the fire extinguisher away and went down the tunnel she had came from when she entered. Nick turned his head and shot a little bit of liquid nitrogen out at the chain that was holding his right arm. The chain made a slight sizzling sound, it became multiple shades darker. Nick pulled with all of his might, the chain snapped right where the nitrogen was. Nick did the same to the other chains until all of the chains were gone. Nick looked at the cage, he sprayed some of the nitrogen along the top of some of the bars and then along the bottom of them. He backed up and spat out the rest of the nitrogen of his mouth. He used his power to dawn his battle suit, he ran at the bars as fast as he could, which wasn¡¯t to fast because he didn¡¯t have his increased strength at the moment. He dropped his shoulder and crashed into the bars, the bars shattered at the top and bottom ripping them from their original positions. They fell to the floor making a loud clang, Nick froze in of fear when he heard it and waited for Meezan to come and put him back but she did not. He made his way to the nearest offspring and started down it.


    He eventually after a lot of getting lost stumbled out of the cave, he was weak because he had been walking and bleeding for the past hour, but the twisting of his stomach had stopped after the first half an hour. Nick found a notch near the cave entrance that Meezan wouldn¡¯t see him for a while if he stayed in it. He walked over and sat down resting his back against the rocks behind him.     He woke up in a well-lit room, he was laying on a bed that seemed to be from a doctor''s office. A man was sitting on a comfortable looking chair on a computer facing away from Nick. Nick was sore where he was stabbed but it was no longer painful. He sat up making noise as he sat up due to the exam table paper he was sitting on. The man turned around, he seemed to be a doctor because of his clothes.


    ¡°Ah, so you¡¯re up.¡± He said.


    ¡°How long was I out.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°A few days.¡± The man said.


    ¡°How did you find me.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Huh, you''re the one who got here. We found you at our doors with four stab wounds and an inside out stomach, your face had stage two frostbite and on the verge of stage three.¡± The man said.


    ¡°I don¡¯t understand, I passed out next to a cave, I was stuck inside and had just got out, I found a nook that would hide me and sat down in it and the next thing I knew I was here.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Hmm, I don¡¯t know but we took care of your frostbite and the blisters that formed.¡± The man said.


    ¡°Wait, where am I?¡± Nick said looking around and then out the window.


    ¡°The hospital of course.¡± The man said.


    ¡°No, I mean what town?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°There are no towns here.¡± The man said.


    ¡°Well, what is this place called?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°This is called the afterlands.¡± The man said.


    ¡°OK, well how do I get back to earth.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°What?!¡± He said in shock. ¡°There is no ¡®going back¡¯ to earth¡±


    ¡°What do you mean I was there.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°But- that is impossible, how did you do this.¡± The man said.


    ¡°Well I woke up in a cloud with a woman who could change form and jumped off of the cloud onto the normal earth but I saw my dead body with the ones who were there with me one was crying and the others were comforting her.¡± Nick said.


    "Tell me everything that has happened in detail.¡± The man said curiously.


    ¡°Well the women told me that I could not return, and I did. She followed me, when she caught me and knocked me out. I woke up in a cave, in a steel cage with all of my limbs spread to different directions by chains. She came in using one of the tunnels and we talked, she threatened to cut off my legs and dislocate my arms, but instead,¡± Nick lifted his shirt so the man could see the scars he had. He pointed to them and continued. ¡°She threw four knives and hit me in these spots. Then she walked up to me and muttered words then pulled her hand back pulling all of the knives out, but my stomach started feeling like it was twisting and turning. She started to leave and I was yelling out of pain, she told me to stop, I just couldn¡¯t so I yelled louder in pain. She walked over and pulled a fire extinguisher out of tank, the extinguisher had liquid nitrogen in it, and she sprayed me with it. I escaped from the cage and chains badly injured and somehow made it out of the cave, I found the nook and hid in it.¡±


    ¡°Wow, quite the story, very descriptive. Even so, I have a few questions. How did you escape the cage and chains?¡± The man asked.


    ¡°Well when she sprayed me, I made my move, I opened my mouth and took as much in as I could without her noticing. When she left I sprayed a little on the chains and broke them, the metal became more brittle in the cold and I was able to snap them. I then used the rest of my supply on the top of the bars and the bottom and was able to snap them off of the cage and get out and into the cave system.¡±


    ¡°Hmm, that was very smart of you, anyways, next question. What was the name of the women?¡±


    ¡°Her name was Meezan.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Wait did you say Meezan.¡± The man said.


    ¡°Yeah why.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°That isn¡¯t her real name, her name is Lilith the fallen angel.¡± The man said.


    ¡°What, why would she say her name is Meezan?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Because she uses the name Meezan so no one suspects anything bad, but everyone who has lived here for a long time knows that she is actually Lilith.¡± The man said.


    ¡°No one on earth knows though?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Yes.¡± The man said. ¡°Also last question, when you escaped how were you able to survive the nitrogen inside your body and rip the bars off? Even with the nitrogen, you should have broken or at least fractured a bone when your body made contact with the metal.¡±


    ¡°I¡¯m not sure I should tell you, the last person I told tried to kill me.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°And that was?¡± The man asked.


    ¡°Meeza- I mean Lilith.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ah, well that would make sense.¡± The man said.


    ¡°Wait, if she is a fallen angel why does she have no wings?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°She is not human and non-humans can look like whatever they want to look like in the afterlands.¡± The man said.


    ¡°So, in other words, don¡¯t trust anyone?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Yes.¡± The man confirmed.


    Nick looked at the door across the room, he was thinking of an escape plan but he needed more information, but the longer he stayed the more danger he was in. He looked at the floor and saw a light on the floor, he realized there was a window behind him. He didn¡¯t look back so he didn¡¯t give off any ideas he had, but he now knew his escape plan.


    ¡°So are you sure there is no way back to earth?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Unless you have the ability ¡®Awakening¡¯ there is no way to get back.¡± The man said.


    Nick realized he could get some more information, but he didn¡¯t want to give away that he had the ability.


    ¡°So like Lilith has?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Yes, she can travel between worlds, even dimensions. Only if she could get powerful enough, she can¡¯t quite do it yet. The man said.


    ¡°Could you tell me how she does it?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Why would you want to know?¡± The man said.


    ¡°I am just curious, I have people back on earth and I don¡¯t want them to get hurt, and if I can keep her from traveling there then I can keep them safer.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ah, I see. Well, all I know is that she runs in circles really fast until a blue orb appears in the middle of the circle.  Chapter 14: Return

    ¡°So she just ran around in circles and a blue orb appeared?¡±Nick asked.


    ¡°Yes from my understanding, but it still takes great power to run as fast as she did, I couldn¡¯t even see a blur, she was going faster than the speed of light.¡± The man said.


    ¡°Wait, what is your name? We were never formally introduced.¡± Nick said.


    Almost immediately after Nick asked, the man¡¯s face was drained of all it¡¯s color.


    ¡°I won¡¯t tell you, I can¡¯t tell you.¡± The man said.


    ¡°If you don¡¯t I will know I can¡¯t trust you.¡± Nick said.

    After the man finished he lunged for Nick. Nick rolled backwards, as he rolled, he kicked the window smashing it in the process. He rolled out of the window, and that is when he realized his mistake. He was falling from the eighth story of the building, he hadn¡¯t realized he was that high. Nick found his only chance at this point, he needed to use his armour, he tried using it but it only appeared in certain places on his body. It would not be enough to protect him Thanks to the armour Nick landed unharmed on his feet. Nick looked up at the window he had fallen from. He saw the man¡¯s face poking out of the window.


    ¡°I will get you eventually¡± The man said.


    ¡°No, you will never even see me again, I am returning to earth.¡± Nick yelled back.


    Nick turned around and used his power once more, his forearms started glowing blue, the red in between his black plating started glowing a dark red. He bent over and ran as fast as he could in circles just like the man had explained, he ran around and around as a blue orb started to form but it was forming slowly, he could still see after images of his blurs as he ran. So he ran even faster than he had ever thought he could, He started losing sight of the blur and then his armour started to glow brighter. The orb became full and started forming what looked like a blue doorway. Once it had completely formed, Nick stopped running, he took a second to admire this portal and then stepped through it. Nick felt his body tug in all different directions, as if he was being pulled everywhere at once. He looked around to see what looked like a deep blue wave of water circling all around him like a tube. At the end of the tube was a bright white light, in the bright light was an image of Maya crying over a coffin not as hard as she was when he first saw her but still crying. He ran towards the light as it got closer he could feel his power being strained. That longer he was in the multidimensional pass the harder it was to keep open. He was almost there but he was also pushing his limits, he was a few feet away when the strain on his power was overwhelming. He closed his eyes took a leap of faith into the light making through just before it closed. He opened his eyes into a pitch black area, he could here someone crying near him but it was muffled. He tried moving but found he was in a box, that is when it hit him. He had returned to his body and he was in the coffin, which meant Maya was the one crying. He put his hands on the top of the coffin and pushed opening the coffin.     ¡°N-N-N-Nick?¡± Maya asked stuttering.


    Nick sat up from his coffin using his arm to prop himself up.

    ¡°From where?¡± Maya asked.

    ¡°I used my power to open a Dimensional rift and passed through it, on the way here I had to hold open the rift and it completely drained of energy and my power, your right I do need some rest.¡± Nick said.


    Let¡¯s get you back home.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°That would be good.¡± Nick said as he passed out in the coffin.


    Nick woke up in his room. He got up and crossed to the door, when he opened it he saw Maya, Sophia, and Rose sparring in the main room. Nick figured he could take them all out if he really wanted to. Unless if Maya had time to set up her power as she did when she killed him. Nick ran behind Maya and tapped her on the shoulder she turned around and gave him a hug.


    ¡°I am so glad you¡¯re back.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°I am too.¡± Nick said. ¡°Can I join?¡±


    ¡°I don¡¯t know we are a few weeks of training ahead of you.¡± Rose said.


    ¡°I could totally beat all of you.¡± Nick said.

    They all walked over to the training room and Rose and Maya went up to the observation deck and sat down at the window.

    ¡°Yeah I guess I am.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°Let¡¯s just make this fast, I don¡¯t want to hold you guys up from any plans you have this afternoon.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°The only plans I have is to defeat you.¡± Sophia said.

    Sophia ran at Nick fists ready. When she got close enough she swung and Nick moved to the side at speeds you can¡¯t see. She swung again at him and he dodged again with ease. Nick made his move, he ran behind Sophia, picked her up and ran her into the observation deck. He then ran back and no one saw him do anything all they knew is she disappeared from one spot and appeared in another to fast for the eye to see. Sophia gave up when she realized she was in observation deck. Rose soon entered the training room and got into position to fight.

 Chapter 15: Fights of true potential

    Rose ran at Nick with surprising speed. When she got to him she threw a punch with even greater speed, fast enough so Nick didn¡¯t have time to react to the new speed. Her fist connected with Nick in the stomach while she simultaneously using her power to shoot Nick a couple feet deep into the wall. Nick laid still in shock of how fast she moved.


    ¡°When did you get that fast?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°I guess I am faster than the all mighty Nick.¡± Rose said.


    ¡°No your not faster than me, but you did catch by surprise.¡± Nick said as he climbed out of the wall.


    ¡°Let¡¯s see your full speed then.¡± Rose challenged.


    ¡°Remember you wanted this.¡± Nick said.


    Nick disappeared from his position running around the room at top speed. Rose looked around for him but couldn¡¯t see him.


    ¡°You know I a new trick up my sleeve too.¡± Rose said cockily.


    Rose started glowing brightly once again like she had the first time they fought, She started levitating off of the ground. She burst into flames and started flying around the room. The flames were surrounding her like a skin tight forcefield. She landed in the middle of the room she raised her and hands and put them in front of her she murmured some words that sounded like it was from a different language and not loud enough for anyone to hear her. When she finished talking fire shot out of her palms like a flamethrower. She started levitating again and spun at speeds that aren¡¯t humanly possible. Fire soon engulfed the entire room,


    ¡°Dodge this Nick.¡± Rose yelled.


    ¡°I just did.¡± Nick said.


    The fire started dying as he said it, the fire that surrounded Rose had died and Rose fainted and started to fall. Nick stood under Rose and caught her before she hit the ground. Once the fire was gone it was clear that there had been a fire there, the walls were scorched and burned, and there was some rubble on the ground. Nick gently laid Rose down on the ground.


    ¡°How did you do that?¡± Rose asked just waking up.


    ¡°I created a vacuum by running around in a circle really fast. It took the oxygen out of the room which is why you fainted, no oxygen no fire.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Oh.¡± Rose said as she passed out.


    Nick picked her up and brought her to the observation room where Maya and Sophia both sat dumbstruck.


    ¡°That was amazing.¡± Maya said. ¡°I guess it is my turn now too.¡±


    Nick laid Rose down on one of the chairs in the room and followed Maya down the stairs back to the scorched room.

    Maya started levitating about ten feet of the ground, she was surrounded by a red haze. Maya started moving her hands around in distinct motions, the haze that surrounded her started to smooth and take the shape of an orb. Nick ran to it and punched it hard, but nothing happened.


    ¡°You like my force field.¡± Maya said with a smile.


    ¡°It¡¯s pretty good but not good enough.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°What do you mean.¡± Maya said smiling less.


    Nick jumped at the orb and just before he hit it his entire body started vibrating very fast. When he made contact with the orb it was like it wasn¡¯t even there he flew through it like it was air. When Nick was inside he stopped vibrating and landed on the bottom of the force field next to Maya.


    ¡°What how did you do that.¡± Maya said still in shock of what he just did.


    ¡°I will tell you after I defeat you.¡± Nick said confidently and slightly cocky.


    ¡°Yeah right.¡± Maya challenged.


    Nick started running around the sphere and slowly got faster and faster. Eventually the sphere snapped in half, making both Maya and Nick fall the the ground. Nick landed on his feet, Maya slowly floated down using her cloak as a small little parachute. When she landed she went into immediate action, she clapped her hands together and pulled them apart. As she did this her staff appeared in between her hands. She grabbed out of the air and slammed it on the ground making a wall of stone in between her and Nick. Nick ran up to the wall and started punching it, as he did the wall started to crack. Maya slammed her staff against the ground once again and started muttering a long chain of words.


    ¡°The sun is black, the moon is red; the sky is white,the ground Grey and cracked the grass is gone, the moon on fire; Hell has been born on earth, for Heaven has died.¡± Maya said.


    Once she finished fire formed a circle around her, The fire shot all the way up to the ceiling. Nick broke the wall into shards. Nick stopped when he saw the circular wall of fire surrounding Maya.


    ¡°What she has fire powers too.¡± Nick said thinking outloud.


    The fire dispersed shooting everywhere blinding Nick in the process. When Nick¡¯s blindness wore off he stood in shock, Maya was standing on the head of a Fire element dragon.


    ¡°WHAT! THERE ARE DRAGONS!¡± Nick yelled. ¡°WHEN DID SHE GET ONE!¡±


    The dragon swung its tail hitting Nick in the side and launching him through the wall and into the other room. Nick coughed and got back up. He turned around as the dragon crashed through the wall demolishing it. Nick ran at it but was hit with its tail again in the other side sending him flying across the room screeching against the floor. He came to a stopped and got up again. His face no longer in surprise but in pure determination. He powered up into his armour, and disappeared, but soon flew into the wall from the dragon hitting him with its tail. Nick climbed out of the wall.


    ¡°How could he see me?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°He couldn¡¯t see you. He could feel the vibrations in the ground from you taking steps at that speed.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°You just cancelled all of my power then.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Yep, pretty much.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Well then, I have my true potential too, I learned of it while you were in you deep sleep for three years, never had to use till now. You the first to see my true power.¡± Nick said growing a smug smirk on his face.


    Nick started running around the room at first slow and then faster and faster. Maya watched with curiosity but also on guard for anything. A tornado started forming in the path he was running. Blue sparks started flying off of him. Each time a spark flew off of him the sparks doubled and it looked as if another Nick running with him. Nick stopped running and stood in front of Maya and the dragon. Behind him were twenty more Nicks, Identical to each other.


    ¡°CHARGE!¡± The Nick in front said.


    The dragon was swept from underneath Maya¡¯s feet, as it slammed against the wall and blasted through it, once that wall was destroyed the entire building started collapsing. Maya was caught from mid air and swept outside next to Sophia and Rose.


    ¡°What Power.¡± Maya said in awe as the build finished collapsing. ¡±He destroyed the entire building.¡±

 Chapter 16: Explanations

    Nick stood in front of the building, the entire Nick army had vanished.


    ¡°What did you do!?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°That was my true potential power.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Yeah but how was there more of--¡±


    ¡°Hey, no one but you know what it is and I would rather keep it that way so word doesn¡¯t get out.¡± Nick interrupted.


    ¡°Ok well can we talk somewhere else then?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°Yeah, brace yourself.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°What why would I need to--¡± Maya tried before she was zipped somewhere else.

    ¡°The Master told me about it when I was training with him all those years back.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°And you didn¡¯t use it till now, and you didn¡¯t tell me.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°He said I needed to unlock my true power which I was able to do when we were training last week.¡± Maya said.

    ¡°The walls are fire proof made of half inch thick graphene and the floors and ceilings the same, made in mind of our big fire breathing friends.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Wati graphene did you say?¡± Sophia asked.


    ¡°Yeah.¡± Nick clarified.


    ¡°How did you get that? It is too expensive to make even a micrometer.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°I found a lot of graphite.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°How did you harvest that much that fast?¡± Sophia challenged.


    ¡°I have super speed remember, I move faster than light.¡± Nick said.

    ¡°Wait you can run into other dimensions. That means we can go home now, come on let¡¯s go!¡± Maya said ecstatically.


    ¡°Wait, according to this book it would take more force to run to a previous dimension. I was only able to do with me alone and I almost didn¡¯t make it. You see all dimensions are aligned so you can run from dimension to dimension but running to a previous one takes a ton of more power than running forwards. That is why I was so out of it when I got back. I can run forwards with you guys to the dimension with the greek gods though. Then afterwards get us to the next one.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well let¡¯s do it then.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Also you may lose all of your powers but gain new ones in doing this.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Wait what.¡± Maya and Rose said simultaneously.


    ¡°The book says it¡¯s called the dimensional effect. You travel to a new dimension you may lose all of your powers and gain new ones.¡± Nick said.

    ¡°I am willing to take that chance¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Me too, it would most likely improve my power, I am kind of tired of being completely combat useless.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°The book also says that the more you want to keep your power the better chance you have of keeping it.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°How does that make sense.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Well not really if you want it, it¡¯s how much your conscious wants it.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well I don¡¯t care let¡¯s do it.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Ok you got it.¡± Nick said as he stood up. ¡°Maya hop on my back and I will carry Rose and Sophia.


    ¡°Ok.¡± Maya said.


    Maya climbed on Nick¡¯s back while Nick picked Rose and Sophia up one in each arm.

 Chapter 17: The Underworld

    Nick put down Sophia and Rose as Maya climbed off of his back.


    ¡°You guys ok?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Yeah we are.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Ok let¡¯s get¡­ what is that!?¡± Nick said pointing to big giant birds in the sky.


    ¡°Those are harpies Nick¡± Maya said.


    ¡°I guess we made it then.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Where did Sophia go?¡± Rose said.


    ¡°What, she¡¯s gone.¡± Maya said looking around.


    ¡°I am right here.¡± Sophia said walking back towards them.


    ¡°Where did you go?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°To see my new power.¡± Sophia said.

    ¡°Yeah but now I can¡¯t so I know I have a new power.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°Let go of me! Help!¡± A female voice echoed.

    They all ran ran towards the voice, they saw a girl being pulled on a chariot in a man¡¯s grip. The man was wearing a purple robe and had black hair, holding the girl¡¯s wrist in one hand and a scepter in the other. The girl was struggling and trying to get away pulling and tugging.


    ¡°Let go of me!¡± She said.


    ¡°Come on hun let''s sit down for a nice diner.¡± The man said.


    ¡°Hades my mom will kill you for this!¡± She said.


    ¡°Yes, unless if you marry me.¡± Hades said.


    ¡°I would never.¡± She said turning away.


    ¡°Here I will let you go if you at least eat with me, if you want to stay after then you can but if not I am not going to hold you back.¡± Hades said.

    They entered a castle, as Nick, Maya, Rose, and Sophia followed. Inside they saw hades with a pomegranate, he soon left the room.

    They could hear her eating the pomegranate, soon the cook came through a door to the right of Nick and went into the room where Hades and Persephone were.


    ¡°Nows our chance to get to the necklace, it should be in the throne room on the throne.¡± Maya said.


    They quietly crossed the doorway, and ran down the hall to the throne room. They got to the throne and it was much bigger than them. They saw the necklace hanging around the top point of the throne. Nick jumped up and ran to the top of the throne and grabbed the necklace from the top. Just as Hades and Persephone walked in Nick was standing on the thrones seat. Hades looked at Nick, his face went from joyful to pure anger.


    ¡°Who are you, why are you here, why do you have my necklace!?!¡± Hades spat


    ¡°Uh¡­ we were just leaving.¡± Nick said as he stepped down from the throne.


    Hades put his hand out, ¡°Give me the necklace. You don¡¯t even know the power stored in it.¡±


    ¡°The skies are open; the wind is strong and free; it thirsts for battle, power of air itself grant me your power; and release to me the command of your servants.¡± Maya said.


    As soon as she said it the wind picked up, it got stronger and strong until everyone was blinded. The wind died down a little bit and everyone looked at Maya who was now sitting on top of a air element dragon. It had a long tail and neck, its wings as long as its body with two pairs of tail fins almost touching the wings. It had several Long curved spikes coming out of its back, as the several spikes traveled down its back they got smaller.


    ¡°SO COOL!¡± Nick said.


    Hades pointed his scepter at Nick and a brilliant blue flame came out of the end. Nick however was not paying attention but still staring at the dragon.


    ¡°Look out Nick.¡± Rose said as she blasted fire out of her palms to counter Hades blue flames. Roses red flames didn¡¯t even stop Hades flames at all, but Nick was now aware and ran next to Maya.


    ¡°Why did my fire not do anything.¡± Rose said.


    ¡°Because blue flames are hotter than red flames. Also the blue flames had a direct path, and they are both chemical reactions. So they do nothing to each other.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Great.¡± Rose said sarcastically.


    Hades then pointed his scepter at Rose and he shot the flames out of the end of it again. Rose quickly dove to the side and rolled to dodge it. She quickly got back up ready for the next attack, but it never came. Instead the flames flew at Nick again. He ran to the side to dodge, after he dodged it he ran at Hades and uppercut him in the gut. Hades stumbled backwards, but quickly regained his balance. He swung his scepter at Nick and hit him in the side of his torso launching him to the wall. After Nick had hit the wall he fell over and passed out.


    ¡°Rose cover me for a second.¡± Maya said looking at Nick


    ¡°I can only buy you a few seconds.¡± Rose said.


    ¡°Great do it.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Hey, over here you hot headed maniac!¡± Rose yelled at Hades.


    Hades shot another fire blast out of his scepter, ¡°Don¡¯t you dare insult a God.¡±


    ¡°NOW!¡± Rose said as she dodged the fire.


    ¡°The sun is black, the moon is red; the sky is white, the ground Grey and cracked the grass is gone, the moon on fire; Hell has been born on earth, for Heaven has died.


    As she said it a fire ring surrounded her just as it did the first time she summoned the fire element dragon. The fire shot up to the ceiling concealing Maya and her dragon inside. The fire dispersed and went around the room blinding everyone. When everyone recovered Maya was on top of her air element dragon and The fire element dragon was standing in front of Nick''s limp body protecting him. Maya commanded the dragon she was riding to fly over to Nick, it obeyed while dodging the fire shot at it as it flew to Nick. When she got there she grabbed the necklace from Nick¡¯s hand and put it around her neck.


    ¡°Now the score will be evened.¡± Maya said.

 Chapter 18: Ultimate Power

    Maya gripped the the pendant dangling from her neck, ¡°Dragon pendant around my neck, shall grant me the power of a dragon form with wings, a tail and scaled feet of golden hide. Magicks of earth, air, fire and water open to me. My view shall be ever changed, from mortal to dragon, TAKEAL.¡±


    At that moment blue flares flew out of the necklace. One flare flew directly above her head. Another flew under her feet as she levitated off the ground. The other went to her north, south, east, and west. They connected each other with glowing blue lines. The rest of the open area filled in concealing her in a floating blue egg. Hades pointed his scepter at the blue egg, the fire flew out of the end of it. The fire hit the egg and it split on contact, the egg was unharmed and the fire was being bent around it. The fire stopped rushing out of Hades scepter. The eggs disappeared, Maya was nowhere to be seen. All they could see was a beautiful young lady looking to be in her late teens or early twenties. Her skin was a dark blue with stars as if it was the night sky. She had long white hair and a long white dress. Translucent dragon wings were set where her shoulder blades were. She floated off of the ground, flapping her wings lightly to keep at that point of levitation.


    ¡°Come at me now Hades.¡± She said.


    Hades ran at her holding his scepter out as if to stab her. She lightly moved her hand in a swiping motion across her body. Hades shot backwards off balance, he landed on his feet and regained his balance.


    ¡°How dare you challenge a god!¡± Hades said angrily.


    ¡°I am more powerful than you will ever be.¡± She said in a deep female voice.


    Hades pointed his scepter at her and shot once more.


    ¡°I am done with your child''s play.¡± She said as she waved a dismissive hand and the fire evaporated.


    ¡°WHAT!¡± Hades yelled.


    ¡°YOU ARE A SAD EXCUSE FOR A GOD, LET ME SHOW YOU TRUE POWER.¡± She yelled.


    She Raised her hand over her head spreading it till it was flat.


    ¡°Dragons, lend me your powers! Fire, from the depths of hell! Water, from the raging oceans! Air, from the heart of Barrow Island! Earth, from the bedrock of earth itself!¡± She chanted.


    As she said this a water, fire, air, and earth all formed into a compact sphere in her palm, four dragons stood around the half human half dragon girl. Nick woke up, his vision was slightly blurry and he had a headache. He felt the wind whipping around the room, he regained his sight and got a good look around. Hades watched the half human half dragon girl with the orb of the elements in her palm above her head. Nick recognized two of the four dragons standing around the girl. He knew that the were Maya¡¯s dragons, but he had never seen the other two. One seemed to be made of earth with moss growing everywhere on it¡¯s body, it had trees growing out of the top of it¡¯s head like hair. It¡¯s wings had earth where the bones were on the wings, in between the bones there was a green substance making up the rest of the wings. The other had a tail unlike the others, the tail was long and thin and had and it looked like it would be good as a flipper or tail of a fish. This dragon had no wings but had a bright blue light going down its spine. The dragons flew at Hades breathing fire, scalding water, fragments of earth, and a strong wind. Hades was Knocked to the ground with cuts and burns all over his body. Before he could get up the dragon girl was already plunging the sphere into his stomach. Hades body shattered on contact. A loud shriek of pain shot through the room. Hades formed again completely unconscious even more cuts and burns.     ¡°Are you my next enemy?¡± She asked.


    ¡°NO! I am a good guy.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Maya you know him.¡± Rose said.


    The dragon girl turned to her. ¡°Maya is gone, Tanit is who stands in front of you.¡±


    ¡°Wait that is Maya?¡± Nick asked Rose.


    ¡°No, I am Tanit!¡± Tanit answered.


    ¡°I wasn¡¯t asking you.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°I WILL KILL YOU!¡± Tanit said.


    ¡°Won¡¯t be my first time.¡± Nick said.


    Tanit jumped into the air flapping her wings hard to fly even higher. She took a deep breath and blew out fire everywhere. Nick dodges to the right, he ran up the wall up to where Tanit was flying and jumped. He landed on her back clutching to her immediately after landing on her. Tanit tried grabbing him but he was in such a position where she couldn¡¯t get a grip.


    ¡°Get off me you pest!¡± She said.


    ¡°Maya if you can hear me, you are stronger than her, take control!¡± Nick said.


    ¡°She can¡¯t hear you!¡± She said.


    Tanit finally got a grip on Nick and pulled him off. She threw him straight down he smashed into the ground making a crater. Nick started to get up but before he could Tanit made a diving punch shoving Nick further into the ground and knocking Rose and Persephone off of their feet.


    ¡°GIVE ME CONTROL!¡± Maya¡¯s voice yelled.


    ¡°What how are you doing this!¡± Tanit screeched.


    ¡°I AM YOUR MASTER!¡± Maya¡¯s voice boomed.


    ¡°I am able to use more power than you in this form.¡± Tanit said.


    ¡°YOU ARE HURTING MY FRIENDS.¡± Maya yelled.


    ¡°NOOOO¡­¡± Tanit yelled.


    Nick opened his eyes and leaned over in pain to see Maya laying down on the ground sweating and breathing hard. Rose cautiously leaned over the side of the crater to take a look.


    ¡°Is... it... over...¡± Maya said taking breaths in between each word.


    ¡°Yeah but I have no idea how we are going to get back for a while.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Can¡¯t you just run us to a dimension?¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Maybe but it would hurt, Tanit sure did a number on me.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Can you stand?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°I can try.¡± Nick said.


    Nick slowly got up trying to not hurt anything, then he jogged in place for a few seconds.


    ¡°Yeah I could probably do it.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ok go get Rose and Sophia wherever she is.¡± Maya said as she got back onto her feet.


    Nick dashed off and came back a few seconds later with Rose and Sophia.


    ¡°Climb on.¡± Nick said.


    Maya climbed on his back just as she had the first time.


    ¡°Ready?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Yeah.¡± Everyone said as Nick sped off.

 Chapter 19: Liliths Return

    Nick laid down on the cold hard floor next to Maya, Sophia, and Rose.


    ¡°Where are we right now.¡± Sophia asked.


    ¡°I took us to a parallel dimension to the one we have been living in for the past few years, so we have all the same things we did in the dimension we were living in before. But the people will most likely act different except for us, because we are the ones from the first dimension we all met in so we haven¡¯t changed personality wise.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°I still hadn¡¯t found my power, and for all we know it could have changed again.¡± Sophia said.


    ¡°Yeah well now you can try and find it for as long as you want.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°I wouldn¡¯t be so sure of that.¡± A voice said with in the room.


    Nick quickly got to his feet ready to fight. He saw a beautiful woman standing in the doorway. She had black long well cared for hair. Her eyes were a strong red with a dash of blue. Her features were beautiful. A long black dress that stops at her ankles. Black wings the size of a full grown man were attached to her body near her shoulder blades.


    ¡°Who are you?¡± Nick asked across the room.


    ¡°My name is Lilith, and I am here to help.¡± Lilith said.


    ¡°Lies.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°I am not lying.¡± Lilith said.


    ¡°We know who you really are.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°I know I just told you.¡± Lilith said.


    ¡°You tried to kill me!¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ah, so you know my secret then.¡± Lilith said.


    ¡°Yes, I know you pretended to be someone called Meezan with a different form, you tortured me in that cave in the afterlands.¡±Nick said.


    ¡°Yes, yes is suppose I did, by the way, how did you break those bars clean off like that?¡± Lilith asked.


    ¡°You don¡¯t need to know.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°If you tell me I might let you live.¡± Lilith said.


    ¡°Might?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Yeah, might.¡± Lilith said as she disappeared.


    Her voice boomed through the room. ¡°You have one week, at this time next week I will be waiting for you in the afterlands. You can get there from anywhere because it is connected to every dimension. Nick, you can not bring any of your friends with you or they will die to, so come alone.¡± Lilith''s voice finished.


    Nick looked at his watch, it said seven o¡¯clock. Maya turned to look at Nick.


    ¡°You aren¡¯t actually going to do it. Are you?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°Yeah I will, and I am going to put a stop to her.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Nick it might be a trap.¡± Maya said worried.


    ¡°Yeah but even if it is a trap, I still have to stop her, no matter the cost.¡± Nick said. ¡°I have to go train.¡± He said as he walked into the training room. Maya wanted to say something but figured it would be better if she just left it at that for now. Nick entered the room and closed the door behind him. Maya walked over to the training room to let Nick know that dinner was ready, when she entered she saw a bunch of robots smashed into the walls of the training area and a note of the training area side of the door.     Dear Maya,


    I am sorry, but I may not come back. I snuck out in search of Alan, once I have finished him off I think I will be able to be able to train with a clearer head than I have now. Do not come and try and find me, I need to do this so I can focus on Lilith. I will be back when I can.

    Maya dropped the note and ran out off the room. ¡°Rose, Sophia, Nick has gone after Alan!¡± Maya yelled.


    ¡°ALAN! I KNOW YOU¡¯RE HERE! COME OUT AND FIGHT ME!¡± Nick yelled.


    Alan appeared as if he walked through an illusion.


    ¡°How did you know where to find me?¡± Alan asked.


    ¡°I caught one of your goons and got it out of them.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Impressive, why do you want me though?¡± Alan asked.


    ¡°I am going to finish you here and now.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Are you now.¡± Alan said raising one eyebrow.


    ¡°Yes.¡± Nick said.


    Alan burst out laughing. ¡°You aren¡¯t even on my level.¡± Alan said still laughing.


    ¡°I am still going to defeat you.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Do you not remember what I did to you last time.¡± Alan said.


    Nick stood silently.


    ¡°I drugged your girlfriend so she thought she thought she was home. Then I broke every bone in your tiny little body. You would have died if it wasn¡¯t for the one girl who caught me off guard and shot me to the side and escaped with you. I had already taken your girlfriend away so she couldn¡¯t take her too.¡± Alan said very vividly.


    ¡°Yeah well I am stronger now.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°As am I.¡± Alan said.


    ¡°Well let¡¯s see it then.¡± Nick said.


    Maya spotted Nick and asked her dragon to set down on the ground near him. She landed and jumped off of her dragon, ran towards Nick and hugged him.


    ¡°I was so worried about you.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Huh, who are you?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°What, Nick it¡¯s me.¡± Maya said looking at his face.


    Nick looked around ¡°Who are you talking to, who¡¯s Nick?¡±


    Maya looked around and saw Alan laying on the ground exhausted with a needle in his hand, it was empty. Nick had defeated him, but Alan had taken Nick¡¯s memory with whatever he injected into him.

 Chapter 20: The Master Returns

    Rose was helping Sophia figure out her new ability was when Maya and Nick walked in.


    ¡°Wow, what is this place?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°This is our home.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°I am pretty sure I would remember such a cool place.¡± Nick said amazed by the space.


    ¡°Again you lost all of your memory.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Yeah you told me before, but how do I know you''re not lying?¡± Nick accused.


    ¡°What would I have to gain from lying to you.¡± Maya said as she cocked her hip and placed her hand on it.


    ¡°NICK!¡± Sophia and Rose yelled when they saw them.


    ¡°Where were you Nick?¡± Sophia asked.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know.¡± Nick said, he got closer to Sophia and bent over to her ear and whispered, ¡°Who are you again.¡±


    Sophia turned to Maya, ¡°What happened to him?¡± She said.


    ¡°He had defeated Alan but Alan had a needle that was empty and I think that he injected Nick with something to make him lose his memory.¡± Maya responded.


    ¡°Oh, well that makes sense, I guess.¡± Sophia said unsurely.


    ¡°Maya, right?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Yes.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Who is that.¡± Nick said pointing to the middle of the room where no one was standing.


    ¡°What, no one is there.¡± Maya said a little confused.


    ¡°Sure there is, he has a long white beard and he looks to be in his eighties, he is about four and a half feet tall, and carrying a staff similar to the one I saw you carrying on your dragon.¡± Nick described.


    ¡°The Master.¡± Maya said. ¡°But he disappeared.¡±


    ¡°He is right there.¡± Nick said pointing to the same place.


    ¡°Why can we not see him?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ask him if he can restore your memory.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Ok,¡± Nick turned to face the middle of the room. ¡°Um, Master, can you restore my memory?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°What is he saying?¡± Maya asked.


    ¡°Nothing he is gesturing for me to go to him.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Ok, go.¡± Maya said giving him a slight push.


    Nick walked over to the room, he started talking, but quietly so no one could here what he was saying. Then they heard another voice talking quieter than Nick. Nick walked back to Maya.

    Maya blushed, ¡°Well¡­ um¡­ yeah, I guess, but how did you know?¡±


    ¡°I could tell by the way you hugged me, the the way you looked at me every time we made eye contact. Even when you didn¡¯t look at me like that I could still see it in your eyes.¡± Nick said.


    Maya¡¯s cheeks were vivid red, ¡°Oh I guess I didn''t notice those things.¡±


    Nick got closer and kissed Maya on the lips, ¡°Next time I see you I will have my memories back when I return. I will get my memories back for you.¡± Nick said passionately.


    He turned and ran to the other side of the room and disappeared into thin air.


    Maya¡¯s cheeks felt like they were on fire. ¡°He figured that out pretty fast.¡± Maya said a little shakily still a little adrenaline filled from the kiss.


    ¡°Yeah he did.¡± Sophia said dumbstruck she had just watched her friend have her first kiss.


    ¡°So he is gone now huh.¡± Rose said.


    ¡°Yeah.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Who knows when he will get back.¡± A voice said behind.


    Maya turned around to see Lilith standing in the doorway.


    ¡°Guess I should take all of you hostage so he will fight me the minute he gets back, and when he returns if I kill him, I am then going to trap all of you here forever.¡± Lilith said.


    Instantly Maya was chained up in a cave with Sophia and Rose on either side of her, the cave had a light with no source of a dark red, it lit the room evenly.


    ¡°Welcome to the after lands where no one returns from.¡± Lilith said.


    ¡°NICK RETURNED!¡± Maya yelled at her with anger in her voice.


    ¡°Don¡¯t even bother using your powers I have dampened them.¡± Lilith said.

 Chapter 21: Memories

    Nick stood in front of The Master.


    ¡°So it seems you lost your memories.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Yeah I guess.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well let¡¯s work on that first and then to the thing I wanted to teach you.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Ok, what do we do.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°We need to show you events in your life and hopefully one of them will hit you just right that everything should return.¡± The Master said.


    The Master pointed to an orb sitting on a pedestal.


    ¡°That will show you your best and worst memories.¡± The Master said.


    Nick looked at the orb and was instantly enveloped into a scene, it was a room with ancient ruins. He saw himself and Maya standing in the hallway.


    ¡°I just had a flashback of you being crushed by that giant man.¡±


    ¡°I wasn¡¯t crushed I blocked it perfectly, it didn¡¯t even hurt.¡±


    ¡°Yeah I guess I just thought you were crushed and I just about started to cry.¡±


    ¡°Why?¡±


    ¡°Because I,¡± Maya hesitated ¡°Love you.¡±


    He watched his past self''s reaction. He then saw Maya catch up to Nick and swiftly kiss him on the cheek. Then the scenery changed in a ripple as if he was watching a small rock hit the surface of a lake. He now saw himself in a standoff with one of the girls he saw just before he left. She lit up and started floating, she aimed her palms at Nick and shot a bright light at him. Nick watched his past self curious of what he would do in the situation, all of a sudden the light started moving a lot slower as if time had slowed. He watched his past self create gauntlets and boots from air and started moving at normal speed and he ran behind the girl. He bashed her into the wall with a single punch. Maya ran out to him and hugged him, she started to talk to the other girl who he had also seen before he left. The girl who had challenged his past self climbed out of the wall and flew up into the air glowing brighter than before. She shot a bigger and brighter laser from her palms, he watched Nick push Maya out of the way as he took the blow. He watched Maya run up to him. ¡°YOU KILLED HIM!¡± She yelled at the girl who shot the laser. Again the scene rippled into a new one. This time he could see himself and Sophia scrambling around in a room looking at a TV in the corner of the room. He watched as his past self turned around and started talking to the wall.


    ¡°What how did you get in here?¡± Nick asked truly puzzled.


    No response came


    ¡°What how do I do that?¡± Nick asked.


    Again no response came but he could tell his past self was listening to something.


    ¡°Ok, I¡¯ll try¡­ come here Sophia.¡± Nick said


    Sophia ran to Nick who embraced her protectively. Nick watched as a blue hazy force field surrounded them like the shape of a half sphere. He heard a giant boom and the building blew up around them with fire engulfing the shield that his past self had just produced. When the fire cleared, the shield disappeared and they ran through being careful not to get burned by the remaining fire. Nick followed his past self and found Maya and started watching the scene again. The man Nick had seen on the ground before Maya had found him bent over to getting really close to Maya¡¯s face. He was about to say something when Nick¡¯s past self bashed his hand through the ground right under the man''s head which allowed Nick¡¯s past self to get a nice uppercut straight into his chin. The man stumbled backwards from the blow, he moved his jaw up and down and massaging it.


    ¡°That actually hurt, congratulations you are one of the first ten to land a blow on me.¡± The man said.


    ¡°Why is that are you just that pathetic that no one wants to hurt you.¡± Nick¡¯s past self said said.


    ¡°No, I am just that strong.¡± The man said as time seemed to slow and he moved away at a normal pace.


    Nick saw Maya watching as his past self started floating and a battle suit started forming around him. He landed on the ground with no skin showing being completely covered in armour that had the same design as his gauntlets and boots. Nick watched his past self as he started moving at the same pace as the other man. Nick watched as his past self yelled at the man.


    ¡°IF YOU HURT MY FRIENDS I WILL DESTROY YOU AND YOUR EMPIRE!¡± Nick''s past self yelled.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.


    Nick watched as the man injected something into Maya and she fainted and fell to the ground, the man picked her up and teleported away along with all of his men. Nick''s past self fell to his knees. Time started moving normally.


    ¡°NOOOOOOOOOO!¡± He yelled in anger and sadness.


    The scene started rippling once again Nick whipped a few tears away from his face, the next scene showed him and Maya in a room that had a similar style of walls from the ones in the first scene. He could see Maya as she opened her eyes, the walls dropped, robots started pouring out of the openings in the wall. Maya put her hands out to make her maximum arm span going side to side, he watched as a mysterious wind picked up in the room, the wind had no way of entering or exiting, and yet got stronger and stronger. The wind eventually got strong enough to move the robots, the robots tried to keep their ground but slide slowly across the floor. The wind was still getting more and more powerful. Maya slowly brought her hands together, as she did this the wind started twisting around the same spot, when her hands finally came together there was a full on hurricane right in front of them. The wind started plucking the robots off the ground when it got close enough, Maya steered where the hurricane went by aiming her hands at a spot and the hurricane slowly traveled to the spot Maya had designated. Maya brought one hand away from the other and brought it above her while the other stayed locked on the hurricanes destination. She flattened the hand that was above her, Nick watched as power flowed out of her hand and into the air where it was forming what looked like a boulder made of power. Maya clenched her fist when the boulder was three time the size of Nick, and Nick was very tall. When she clenched her fist the boulder split into a million little tiny pieces that looked like pinkie fingers only they came to a point on one side she quickly moved her hand at the hurricane, all the little rocks flew to where Maya was pointing and into the hurricane. The rocks disappeared in the hurricane for a few seconds, all of a sudden the rocks flew out like bullets of a machine gun, only the rocks were flying in all directions. Maya set up a shield so none of the rocks would hit her, Nick watched as his past self started moving as fast as he could trying to dodge all of the rocks. The rocks were moving really fast but not as fast as before, time itself seemed to be slowing again. Nick''s past self was fast but not fast enough to dodge all of the rocks. Nick watched as his past self had rocks driving right through his body like air. After the rocks stopped flying out of the hurricane Maya commanded the hurricane to stop, once she did it slowly disappeared. She looked around at all the robots on the floor, they all had a thousand little holes the size of pinkies.


    ¡°That was a tremendously powerful attack.¡± Nick said as he started to move slower.


    ¡°That wasn¡¯t even half of my power, I figured once I got to that mark that if I used it all I would destroy the building and kill everyone in it except me because I had the shield.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°Yeah, I guess.¡± Nick said as time seemed to return to normal as he fell to the ground without his suit.


    Maya ran to him and kneeled next to him. ¡°What''s wrong.?¡± Maya asked worryful.


    Nick just grunted and rolled over to reveal, five pinkie sized holes in his torso and chest.


    ¡°OH MY GOD!¡± Maya yelled realizing what she had done and tears started brimming in her eyes and soon became an all out cry.


    The scene started to ripple again, ¡°Wow, I¡­ died,¡± Nick started looking at his hands. He then started clapping them to see if they were solid. ¡°Then how am I here?¡± He looked up to see the next scene took place in a cave with a dark red light with no source that illuminated the whole room evenly. He saw his past self once again only in a cage with his limbs spread unnaturally apart by chains. A few moments later a woman he didn¡¯t remember appeared in the entrance of one of the cave offsprings and started towards Nick¡¯s past self.


    ¡°So did you learn not to run, you could have had a much better after life, but now you will be tortured for eternity.¡± She said.


    ¡°No, I didn¡¯t, I will get back to Maya.¡± He said weakly.


    ¡°Hmm, too bad for you. How should we start, maybe dislocating the arms.¡± She said.


    ¡°I don¡¯t care what you do to me, I will get back to Maya.¡± He said still weakly but with determination.


    ¡°Or maybe cutting off the legs.¡± She said ignoring Nick¡¯s past self.


    ¡°What is this good angel, and then bad devil?¡± He asked.


    ¡°Similar yes, only I was nice until you disobeyed my orders.¡± She said.


    ¡°Ah, tell me. What metal is this cage made of?¡± He said asked.


    ¡°Why do you want to know?¡± She said.


    ¡°It just interests me.¡± He said looking along the bars of the cage.


    ¡°Mmhmm.¡± She said interestingly. ¡°Well let¡¯s get started, shall we.¡±


    Meezan walked over and grabbed a knife, ¡°Maybe not cutting of your legs but you will definitely be in pain.¡± She said while she examined the blade.


    She suddenly turned to Nick''s past self. She made a smooth swift motion with her arm and wrist. Nick watched as the knife flew out of her hand and cut the edge of his past self ear. He grimaced in pain. It was just a little cut but it hurt, he tried to hide his pain in hopes she would let him out of the cage if she thought he couldn¡¯t be hurt that easily. Nick had finally convinced himself it didn¡¯t hurt that much when she made another smooth swift motion. Nick watched as the knife sailed through the air so perfectly and straight like a missile locked onto it¡¯s target. Nick suddenly pulled away from the memory stumbling away from the orb panting.


    ¡°I¡­ I¡­ I can¡¯t relive that memory.¡± Nick said looking up at The Master.


    ¡°See, I told you this was the way to get your memory back.¡± The Master said.


    Nick tried to talk but then realized he had his memories back. ¡°You¡¯re right, I do have my memories back.¡± Nick said with rejoice in his voice.


    ¡°Do you have the memories you made when you didn¡¯t have any of your past memories?¡± The Master asked.


    ¡°Yeah I¡­¡± Nick slowly looked at The Master with a tint of fear in his face.


    ¡°What?¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Oh my gosh. I kissed Maya.¡± Nick said. ¡°What is she going to think of me, I was way to reckless.¡±


    ¡°Ok, well now it¡¯s time for that thing I wanted to show you.¡± The Master said awkwardly.

 chapter 22: Complete Control

    ¡°So, what did you want to teach me?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°I am going to teach you, how to gain complete control over your power.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°What I thought I did.¡± Nick said confused.


    ¡°Ah you see, your power will change color when you have complete control.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°What, do Maya and Rose have complete control over their powers? But yet I can still beat them without having control over mine.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well yes, they have complete control, but you have much more powerful abilities.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Ok, well, how do I control it then?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°You need to be able to channel it.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Channel it?¡± Nick asked. ¡°I can already do that.¡±


    ¡°Not completely.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Well I can channel it to make a force field and to strengthen my punches, what else is there to put power into?¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well I am going to tell you how to put all of your power into just one arm, therefore resulting in the ability for a mega punch.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Wait I can do that?¡± Nick asked.


    ¡°Yes, you can.¡± The Master said. ¡°Now, Let¡¯s get started.¡±


    ¡°Please, let Sophia and Rose go, he will come to save me. Even if it is just me, just let them go.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°No, I need you all. If he can¡¯t find any of you he will come to find you faster.¡± Lilith said.


    ¡°But it will take him longer to find us if he doesn¡¯t know where we are.¡± Maya said.


    ¡°I left him a message of where to find you when he returns.¡± Lilith said.


    Maya sighed angrily. ¡°Nick please save us.¡± Maya whispered to herself.


    ¡°I JUST CAN¡¯T DO IT!¡± Nick yelled as he punched a hole in the wall.


    ¡°You can, and you know how, you just aren¡¯t allowing yourself to be able to do it.¡± The Master said. ¡°Think you can''t do it and you will not be able to. Think you can, and believe in yourself you will most surely succeed.¡±


    ¡°I am going back home.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°You need to stay here and train.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°I can train in our base, besides we¡¯ve been at this for hours.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Actually you have been gone for at least a year. This room is similar to the other room only instead of making more time it speeds up the time from the real world to make it seem shorter. But because of this I made it so that hunger and thirst did not increase just like the last room.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°You kept me here for a year!¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well¡­ yes.¡± The Master said.


    ¡°Maya probably thinks I am never coming back!¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Well if you want to go home I can¡¯t stop you.¡± The Master said. ¡°The door is right behind you.¡±


    Nick looked behind himself to see an opening in the shape of a door. The opening had no door but instead an image of the place he had left from.

    Nick stood up and walked into the image and appeared where he had first seen the Master when he didn¡¯t have his memory. He looked around and saw no one in the main room. He saw the room in order only with a mouse chewing on the corner of a slip of paper in the middle of the room. He walked over to it and gently swatted the mouse away. He picked it up and read it.


    I have your three friends held hostage, the only way i will release them is if you can defeat me. Until then they will be my servants, they will help me execute my evil plans, and clean my cave. If you can¡¯t stop me none of you will ever know freedom. You know where to find me.

    Nick could feel the anger inside of him, he had to save them. Nick ran around in a circle making the orb in the center. He ran through it and instantly appeared in the After Lands. He looked around he could see he had appeared where he had left, he looked up to see the broken window had been fixed and looked like normal. He looked to his right and could see a cave in the distance, he dashed off towards it. It rushed to meet him as he ran to it. He stopped and stood in front of the opening of the great rock. He could hear screams of agony inside.


    ¡°Yep this is the place.¡± Nick quietly said to himself as he ran through the entrance. As he ran through he looked through openings he passed trying to find Maya, Rose, and Sophia, he saw cages with one person in each suspended in the air just as he had been. He heard loud sound like stone against stone off and on as if someone were digging with a stone pickaxe. He ran towards the sound, though it was hard to find from all the echoing of the cave. Nick found a familiar looking earthen dragon in a semi long tunnel digging with its stone tipped tail. Then he realized it was the same earthen dragon that he had seen standing next to Tanit in the underworld. He then noticed three people walking around the dragon carrying rocks and placing them in a cart and then going back for more. He got closer until he could see the detail in their faces. He ran up to them when he knew it was his friends.


    ¡°NICK!¡± Maya said being the first one to notice him, she ran to him and they embraced.


    ¡°I thought I was never going to see you again.¡± She said as Nick''s shoulder became damp from what he figured were tears from Maya.


    ¡°I¡¯m going to get us all out of here don''t worry.¡± Nick said confidently.


    ¡°I wouldn''t be so sure about that.¡± Nick heard Lilith''s voice behind him say.


    He speedily but also gently wiggled out of the embrace and turned to face Lilith.


    ¡°And who''s going to stop me from taking them?¡± Nick said cockily.


    ¡°Me.¡± Lilith said calmly.


    ¡°I will chain you up in a cage when I''m done with you.¡± Nick threatened.


    ¡°We¡¯ll see who ends up in the cage.¡± Lilith said equally threateningly.


    Nick charged Lilith faster than light speed. Lilith casually stepped out of the way and shoved him to the ground equally as fast.


    ¡°Just admit it, I am stronger.¡± Lilith said.


    ¡°Never.¡± Nick said back.


    Nick lunged at Lilith with astonishing speed. Lilith sidestepped and watched as Nick face planted into the ground. Lilith picked Nick up by his right leg. She positioned her hands so one was on holding his shin and the other was holding his thigh. She started to put pressure on his leg in an unnatural way and broke his leg.


    ¡°We can''t have you running off places.¡± Lilith said as Nick screamed in agony.


    Lilith then dropped Nick to the ground with a thud.


    ¡°NICK!¡± Maya yelled.


    Lilith turned to face Maya, ¡°Are you next?¡±


    ¡°No you are.¡± Maya said back with a smirk as she started charging towards Lilith.


    Lilith made a swift movement for Maya¡¯s legs. Maya jumped and barely dodging Lilith¡¯s grasp. Maya kicked Lilith¡¯s head into the ground breaking the solid rock that the floor was made out of. Maya kicked off of Lilith¡¯s head and launched herself across the room putting some distance between her and Lilith. Lilith pulled her head out of the ground leaving a head sized hole in the rock. Blood dribbled down from the point of impact on her forehead. Lilith tried to wipe the blood away but only smeared it around her forehead. She growled as she disappeared and reappeared instantly behind Maya. Maya Squealed in fear as Lilith¡¯s hands clamped down on Maya¡¯s sides. Nick immediately looked up as his hair flipped up.


    ¡°DON¡¯T TOUCH HER!¡± Nick yelled.


    His broken leg started glowing such a bright blue they could hardly look his direction. He got up and stood on his broken leg without even feeling pain.


    ¡°What¡­ but¡­ that shouldn¡¯t be possible.¡± Lilith said in disbelief.


    Nick looked at her with a murderous look in his eyes. ¡°I SAID DON¡¯T TOUCH HER!¡±


    Nick took of running. Lilith released Maya from her grip and pushed her aside. Maya stumbled and fell. Nick was fast enough to catch Maya before she hit the ground, he jumped at Lilith with his glowing leg. He launched at her so fast she couldn¡¯t react in time, Nick¡¯s arm started to glow also as he uppercutted Lilith in the gut. The punch launched her up and into the ceiling, she stayed there suspended in the ceiling. She soon fell limply to the ground leaving a body sized hole in the ceiling. Nick walked over to Lilith, she laid there not showing any sign of life.


    Maya turned her head to look at Lilith and Nick. ¡°Is she dead.¡±


    Nick kneeled and checked her pulse. ¡°No, it is weak but there''s a pulse.¡±


    Maya turned her head again to look at the ceiling ¡°Can we just go home now.¡±


    Sophia and Rose who were watching the whole fight silently, agreed.


    ¡°I... can¡¯t take us back.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Wait why.¡± Maya said sitting up.


    ¡°Same reason I can¡¯t take us all home, I am just not powerful enough to take all of us. It took all I had to get back just me.¡± Nick said.


    ¡°Oh.¡± Maya said sadly as she layed back down.
