《Pandora: A New Beginning》
Chapter 1: The End
2215, Tokyo, Japan.
I had just won one of the biggest tournaments in the world, but I still felt lost, I walked up to the rooftop, thinking about the past and everything I had done to get here.
"How did I get here" This was what was I kept repeating to myself in my head, looking back on everything I had done, all the year I had spent to get to where I am now, all the times when I had wanted something and my parents would get me it even though they knew they couldn''t afford it.
My family, once, I took this word for granted.
Always thinking that my family would be there for me, always thinking no matter what I would do they would always be on my side, but I was wrong, although I know my family loved me, they couldn''t keep up with me especially because I would never use my own money when I would purchase anything, this all changed when my family became deep in debt.
My father couldn''t handle the stress he had from all the loan companies and my mother just left one day, never to return again, I found out later that although her life had become better aftershe left, she had died shortly after from an illness.
My dad, on the other hand, my dad stayed, but because of the stress his hair had turned white earlier than most people, he would get home from work with a haggard look, no longer looking as healthy as he used to, his face which used to contain a smile, no longer showed any sign of happiness, not long after he had his 45th birthday he died, in truth I could''ve helped him with the burden, but I was extremely selfish, never listening to others.
After my parents died, I was closed off from the world, not listening to people, not helping people when they needed it, eventually, I became recluse, in the game I was popular for being ice cold, despite the amounts of players that wanted to help me, listen to me, stay with me, I would never accept an offer that didn''t have value, later on I found out what it meant to have people who treasured you, unfortunately it had come to the point where it was too late for me, I had discarded everything that I had, the people who treasured me, all for Pandora.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pandora was a dream in 2175, a dream dreamt up by many people who had an idea to create the worlds best game.
Pandora, that was a name that everyone has heard of, but in reality, it was just a game, although it was just a game it was also the game, it was known asthe game because it was the first virtual reality game, controlled by AI, to be released, the first of its kind, it was made by Titan, a company known for its research into virtual reality and artificial intelligence, they started out as just a group of people interested in computer software and computer games, but one day, one of them said "What if we made a virtual reality game?" Ever since that day they had focused all they had into making the best type of virtual reality game they could think of, every single point would be jointly discussed making sure that the game was what they dreamed of, they had spent several tens of years creating the game.
While they were making the game, other people in the world were creating new inventions, new types of software and making new discoveries.
One of those people was James Stevens, when he was young he would play games or read novels constantly, massing a huge collection of games and books, but one day he thought "What if I created Artificial Intelligence, then I wouldn''t need to do anything because the rich people will all be paying me for the chance to use my creation." Shortly after he had this dream he had registered for MIT and met the soon to be leader of Titan, Mark Anderson. Mark shared the dream he and his group of friends had with James, soon after that, they had all become friends and the dream of making a VR game turned into a VR game run by an AI, the first of its kind.
The game took over 25 years to create, the dream they had was created.
A game, a game run by AI, a game that can create its own updates, a game that is evolving at all times, a game that cannot be controlled by anyone, a new game was created and that game was called:
Pandora
Chapter 2: A New Beginning
I woke up the next day.
"How did I get here?" was the first thing I said, it had been a long time since I was in the room, this was the house my family owned, after the death of my parents, the family home was passed onto me, but I never lived in it, the memories of this place gave me a sad feeling.
I tried to recall what happened to me yesterday, the last thing that I remember is drinking a lot, I had never tried drinking alcohol before, but I had heard that it can help people forget about the troubles they had. Anyway, enough thinking about depressing things.
I walked to the mirror and looked into it.
...
"eh"
It took me a second to realise that I looked 15 years younger, the eye bags under my eyes had disappeared, replaced by my light brown skin, the unkempt hair that I usually had disappeared, replaced by my glossy straight hair I had when I was 16 years old.
I stood there as if paralyzed, eventually, I had realised that I had been standing there for 15 minutes, just looking into the mirror endlessly.
I went to the door, opening the door I saw my parents.
I started to cry, seeing my parents who had always been supportive of me.
They saw me crying and thought that something was wrong so they rushed over to me.
"Whats wrong?" My mother asked me.
I just looked at them, I couldn''t tell them how much I had wanted to see them again, to be loved by them again.
"Nothing, I just suddenly felt like crying" I replied, I knew my parents wouldn''t believe me, but that didn''t really matter at the time, I could easily think of something to tell them but I didn''t want to lie to my parents anymore, I didn''t want them to suffer the hardship I had put them through before. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
I dried my tears on my t-shirt, then I went to get breakfast, they get a bit confused about that, but they just shrug it and head back to the table.
After finishing my breakfast I realized that it was the day before my birthday.
It was also the day before I get my Pandora capsule, three days before my personality changed and I became more demanding.
I was also reminded of the fact that my mother and father liked to take days off, especially around my birthday, they would each take 3 days off, the day before, my birthday and the day after.
After I finished breakfast, I started to plan out everything, how to earn a large amount of money and fast with the knowledge I possess about this game, although I don''t know if the game will be exactly the same as it was the last time I played it.
After I finished strategizing for the day, it was late, so I decided to go to sleep.
...
The next day I woke midday, I went to the living room where my parents were, they looked a bit tired, it wasn''t as obvious on my mothers face as she wore makeup, but you could tell from the detail of the banners and all the decorations that they had put their all into making my birthday special for me.
After all the small gifts and cards were given to me it was then that my father had the engineers install the Pandora capsule in my bedroom, although I had got it, I knew from the last time I received the capsule that the game wouldn''t be open for another 2 days, even though I could create my own character there weren''t any benefits from doing that straight away.
I ended up spending the rest of my day with my parents, it didn''t matter what we talked about, I just wanted to talk to them, I hadn''t seen them in a very long time and it was about time for me to catch up and listen to what they want to hear, we ended up talking until midnight, then everyone went to bed.
...
The next day I woke up refreshed and happy, it had been a long time since I woke up happy, immediately after waking up I made sure to wash properly making sure that I would always look my best in front of my parents.
After breakfast I went back to my room, it was time to create my character, although you don''t get anything for creating a character quicker, the first 1,000,000 people will get a random skill when starting the game, last time I played as a mage and got the skill backstab, this time I''m playing as a thief.
"Hopefully I don''t get a skill that is useless for my class this time."
After saying that I went into the capsule.
"Would you like to create your character?"
It was the same voice as the last time.
"Yes"
Chapter 3: The Elder
"Name." The system said with its monotonous voice.
"Rose Trinity" I replied.
"Would you like to randomize your race, class and life class?"
"No" I already had a class in mind with my strategy, if I randomized everything now it will ruin my plan.
"Please select your race, please keep in mind the race you choose will belong to a certain alignment and this alignment cannot be changed."
Evil
Neutral
Good
Devil
Dark Elf
Wood Elf
Demon
Human
Celestial
Orc
Gnome
Fairy
Blood Elf
Dwarf
Half-Elf
"Dark Elf" Although the media coverage on Pandora has been high, the actual information about the game released is extremely limited, one of the key points mentioned is that there are other ways to get attribute points.
"Please select your class, please note that you are not required to follow the recommended attributes."
Class
Recommended Attributes
Warrior
Strength and Constitution
Archer
Dexterity and Agility
Thief
Strength, Dexterity and Agility
Mage
Intelligence and Dexterity
"Thief"
"Would you like to select your life class now or wait?"
"Wait." As I expected, you can still choose to wait and find an NPC to mentor you.
There are advantages of having NPCs mentor you, the rate at which you will gain life class exp will increase, as well as receivingadvice and tips and finally the most important point, you can build relations with the NPCs, creating more opportunities to gain more hidden quests, which wouldn''t be available normally.
"Congratulations, you have created your account."
"The game will be open in 25:43:57. Please come back when the timer has finished toplay the game."
After I finished creating my character I exited my capsule, it had only taken me a couple of hours to finish creating my character, so I went downstairs and watched T.V. for the rest of the day.Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author.
When it came to midnight I headed off to bed, but unfortunately, I was very nervous unable to get to sleep, so I stayed awake looking at my ceiling, I set my alarm to wake me up 1 hour before launch and then closed my eyes,it still takes a while to do but eventually falling asleep.
...
I woke up the next morning and looked at the time, my alarm didn''t go off so I woke up only 30 minutes before the launch of the game, I had a quick shower and got into some comfortable clothes and sat in the capsule.
While inside the capsule all I could see was a timer, so I slowly watched the timer decrease second by second.

"Welcome to Pandora."
It was very nostalgic, seeing the opening again, but this I had some extra knowledge about the game, for example, you can simply skip the intro by simply saying "skip." This piece of information wasn''t found out until 4 months after the game launched which didn''t provide anyone with an advantage, but that was because the ''first'' title had already been taken, although this title wasn''t anything special in the early game, it became an extremely great item for the late game, because this wasn''t just any title, this title gave the useraccess to a ''God'' quest which came in 5 parts.
"Skip."
"Are you sure you want to skip the opening to Pandora? After the opening is skipped it will not be viewable again."
"Yes."
After that was said the intro for Pandora was skipped and I landed in the middle of a village, the game had many villages like this all numbered from 1-100,000. The village which you land in is totally random so despite being the first person to log in I landed in Beginner Village 40,593.
After landing I walked to the village elder.
"Welcome traveller, because you are the first traveller to land in this world you are granted the title ''First''."

"Thank you, Village Elder."

"Recently there has been a lot of wolves attacking the villages on the outskirts of the village, can you prevent the wolves from attacking the villagers?"
E-rank Quest received:
Kill 10 wolves: 0/10
As I walked away from the village elder I saw more and more people starting to emerge in my village, without paying attention to it any longer I walked to the edge of the village where the wolves are located.
Chapter 4: The Smith

I stab the wolf in the back, revealing myself to the enemy.
I start to run away to repeat the process over again, but the wolf quickly turns around and dashes at me, biting my leg
-25
Only 175 health left. Looks like I won''t be able to run away this time, instead of running away I charge at the wolf, although it is 2 levels higher than me, it is a basic mob used as the objective for the starter quest, I should be able to kill it easily.
-33
-27
The battle progresses fast as we trade blows with each other, the health points of both sides decreasing fast but eventually I finish the wolf off with a critical.
-58 Critical
After achieving my first critical the system announcement came up.
Congratulations on achieving your first critical unlocking the luck attribute.
Luck:
The Luck attribute affects the chance of achieving a critical hit and the drop rates from mobs. Stat points received for level ups cannot be put into this attribute. If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
1 copper received.
35 exp received.
1/10 wolves killed.
I slowly wait for my health to regenerate then I proceed with going back into stealth an using backstab as my first attack, but this time I follow up with another attack straight after instead of running away, using this way I was able to get 2 attacks in before the wolf was able to respond.
After killing another 2 wolves I was able to level up.
Every level you receive 5 skill points, this time I assign 3 into Dex, 1 into Agl and the final in Str

After picking up the weapon I headed back to the village elder.
Compared to before the village is more populated when I was leaving it was barely filled, but now it''s almost packed, every street filled with players talking to NPCs and looking for parties.
I walked passed the players straight into the village elders house, inside it was filled with players, so I went to the back of the line and waited until it was my turn.
"Welcome back traveller, are you here to turn in your quest?" The village elder was surprised when I had come back to turn in my quest this early.
"Yes"
Congratulations you have complete the village elders quest.

After levelling up, I went to the blacksmiths to get the quest to become the blacksmith''s apprentice.
This was a key point in my plan, out of all the possible life classes the one which makes the most is the blacksmith, but the downside is that its the class that takes the most amount of time to complete any single item, which is why the class is underestimated.
Just outside the smith was a bunch of players arguing with the head blacksmith, Sardrock Flaskfury.
I walked over to the head blacksmith and inquired about the situation.
"Whats wrong with the users?"
When I posed the question only then did they all turn to face me, I could tell that the users were bothered by my question, but the blacksmith appeared to not really care about both my question or the current situation he was in.
Chapter 5: The Smiths apprentice
The head blacksmith grumbled as if he couldn''t be bothered to explain to me the problem that has occurred, so I turned my head towards the players and asked.
"What happened between the both of you?"
The player who looked to be the leader of the group said: "We asked him if he was able to forge weapons for us?"
As soon as I head that I realized that these people weren''t normal, although you only need 2 or 3 pieces ores and a blacksmith to make it, to get these materials so early on, you would need to have a workshop, that or you have managed to find something valuable enough to trade with a life class player who chose to mine and happened to get lucky enough to find ablacksmith worthy material.
After a couple of seconds, I asked: "Why don''t you go to another village for a blacksmith?"
One of his lackeys arrogantly said, "Why would we do that, this village belongs to us The Dominators."
It was only then that I used identify on them.
The leader of the group was called ''Dominator Chris'' whilst the lackey was called ''Dominator Michael''
I ignored them and spoke to the blacksmith "Do you have a quest for me?"
Sardrock replied, "I require 10 iron ores, can you mine them for me?"
"Of course, I can mine the Iron ore for you, can you tell me where to find it?" It was this quest, the repeatable quest that can gain you relations with the blacksmith.
"Just outside of town is the Deathmount Mine, head there." Sardrock replied as if it was obvious.
Mine 10 Iron ore for Sardrock:
Iron ore mined: 0/10
I knew which mine he was talking about, it was called the same mine no matter which village you landed in, after heading into the mine I logged out of Pandora.
...
It was almost 9 pm I had been playing for hours and it was almost time to eat, since I had seen my parents again I would always be making the food before they arrive.
After eating I logged back into the game.
...
Standing just outside the mine, I was looking at the small influx of players that would arrive every 5-10 minutes, the mine could be classed as abandoned.
Walking into the mine I noticed that there were only about 50 players throughout the entire mine.
I took my pickaxe out of my inventory and started mining the iron.
.
..If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
...
....
After 30 minutes I had finally mined all 10 pieces of iron ore
Mine 10 Iron ore for Sardrock:
Iron ore mined: 10/10
Return to Sardrock to turn in the quest.
I started to return to Sardrock to turn in the quest, this quest can be completed 10 times in total, but no one had bothered to do that until several months into the game, the reason was simple, you don''t gain exp from this quest, instead, you only receive 5 silver coins.
After entering the village I headed off to the blacksmith.
When I arrived at the blacksmith the players from before were still there, continuing to argue with the blacksmith.
I walked passed them and went to the blacksmith and spoke to Sardrock.
"I have returned with the 10 pieces of iron ore." Sardrock would be arrogant with those who demand from him, but on the other hand, if you had been tasked by him, he would prefer if you were upfront with him and disperse with the pleasantries.

5 Silver coins received

I was probably the only one who knew the benefits of completing the quest all 10 times so I asked him for a quest and I received the same quest.
Quest Received:
Mine 10 Iron ore for Sardrock:
Iron ore mined: 0/10
As I headed out of the blacksmiths I gave that group of people some advice "Why don''t you ask him nicely instead of demanding, he might actually forge you what you want."
Without waiting for a reply I walked off back to the mine to start the mining process again.
.
..
...
Mine 10 Iron ore for Sardrock:
Iron ore mined: 10/10
Return to Sardrock to turn in the quest.
After finishing the mining I walked back to Sardrock for the second time and turned in the quest, for the first 4 times of completing this quest you would get the same rewards.
Quest completed
5 Silver coins received
Relation with Sardrock Improved by 5
Quest completed 2/10
After handing the quest in, I asked Sardrock for the quest again, after receiving I walked out for the 3rd time, but this time I didn''t notice that group of people standing outside, I didn''t really think about it and started off on the grind.
.

After completing the quest for the 5th time I went back to the blacksmith.
Quest completed
10 Silver coins received
Relation with Sardrock Improved by 10

After I had finished the quest I received another notification.
For gaining Sardrocks Recognition you have activated the hidden quest ''Sardrocks Apprentice''
Sardrock Flaskfury was known as a Divine Smith in the continent, but something has caused him to travel to a village far off and conceal himself from other people, but you are the first person to gain Sardrocks Recognition, as a result, you can now become Sardrocks Apprentice, Do you accept?
Chapter 6: The Problem (revised)
"Yes" This was the reason why I chose not to select my life class before I started, although I would be able to become a blacksmith I wouldn''t get the opportunity to become Sordrocks apprentice.
Congratulations, you have officially become Sordrocks apprentice. You have unlocked the following skills:
Rookie Blacksmithing level 1 (0%)

Rookie Armorsmithing level 1 (0%)

Congratulations on becomingSordrocks apprentice, you have unlocked the following title:
Divine Smith Sordrocks Apprentice
Divine Smith Sordrocks Apprentice:
Relation with blacksmiths increased by 25, Chance to get a proficiency bonus when smithing using this title.
"Now that you have become my apprentice I can show you the basics of blacksmithing." He turned and went towards forge, I followed after him, the best part about becoming an apprentice is that I would be able to improve my skills when watching Sardrock forge.
He starts by adding coal to the forge and using the bellows to get to the proper temperature to melt the iron ore, after watching him add the metal so it can melt down hethen pour the liquid iron into the mold, wait for it to be a bit more solid then break the mold out, thenturns towards the anvil and starts to shape the iron into a sword . I watch as he continuously goes back and forth frommeltingreheatingthe metal to shaping it with his hammer and anvil and cooling the metal, then finally honed the blade,it takes a total of 2 hours to finish creating the weapon.
He walks over to me and hands me the sword, "Take it."
"But didn''t you just put your hard work into this sword so how could I take it?" I had never been a blacksmith so I didn''t know why he would want me to take his sword.
"You have become my one and only apprentice, of course, I have to give you a gift." he was adamant on giving me the sword.
I ended up taking the sword and used identify on it
Iron Sword (Purple - Epic)
Iron sword made by the Divine Smith Sordrock for his precious apprentice.
Level required: 10
Attack: 20-30
Strength + 3
(Appraisal Required)
I was shocked by the sword he made, not only did was it purple grade, but it also required an appraisal, meaning that not all the stats are being shown on the sword, I couldn''t get over the fact that it was purple, of course, the only negative thing about items you equip is that they glow the weapon-grade, meaning that my sword would glow purple showing people I have a purple grade weapon, making me a target for more and more people.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more.
Fortunately for me, I am not high enough to use this sword yet, so I can avoid drawing attention from people by using a purple grade sword.
Noticing the time I decided to log off.
...
After logging off I started to prepare food for the family, my parents were watching T.V in the other room, I could hear them chatting with each other about me.
"What do you think she does in that capsule all day?"
"She''s young, let her play her games for a couple of years, then she can get a job."
After that they stopped talking and continued to watch T.V. until the food was ready.
After eating food, I went back to my room and slept.
...
When I woke up, I had a shower, ate breakfast and went back into Pandora.
Walking back to the blacksmith I noticed that those people who I hadn''t seen for a while were back, and they were causing trouble for Sordrock again.
"Whats wrong with you this time?" I walked up and asked them.
"Its none of your business." The lackey behind Dominator Chris replied arrogantly.
"Well it is, I am the apprentice at this blacksmith." I replied seriously, I had started to treat the NPCs with just as much respect as my parents, so when they started to make trouble with Sordrock I started to become furious.

They all turned to look at me as if I was the devil, well everyone apart from Sordrock, he just had his casual appearance, as if nothing was happening at all.
Instead of turning back to Sordrock they decided to direct all the questions they had to me.
"How did you do that?"
"Can you solve our problem?"
"Why is Sordrock always so dismissive?"
Listening to them all talking at the same time, I had to shout so that they were able to hear me.
"CAN YOU ALL SHUT UP."
After hearing me shout they all quietened down, I pointed at them and told them to speak 1 at a time.
"You there, whats your question?"
"Why does Sordrock always act so arrogant?" He said it as if it was a fact, but it''s just that they never cared about the NPC in the first place, so of course what happens when you arrogantly ask a question to an arrogant person? you will be ignored, but obviously, I didn''t want to say that because it would ruin my image, so instead I said
"Why didn''t you just ask him nicely?"
They clearly didn''t listen to me last time when I told them to be polite, but now that they had it was like he had a revelation.
Moving on to the next person I asked him the same question
"Whats your question?"
"How did you do that?" He was still standing with a surprised expression from before when I told him that I was Sordrocks apprentice.
"If I told you, well then you wouldn''t have to find it out yourself, right?"
His expression changed, he was now looking downcast, after he realised that he wasn''t going to get the answer from me that he wanted.
Finally, I turned to the last person.
"Well then..." Before I finished I realised that he was already talking to Sardrock, clearly wanted to get something forged but not wanting to act polite.
"Hey, are you going to forge this for me or not?" He turned from arrogant to demanding as if the world belonged to him.
Just listening to him, I could tell that my image of being nice will be ruined, of course, if I could avoid this I would.
Just as I was thinking of a way to keep my image I saw him throw some of the items in the blacksmith on the ground, clearly he was about to upset Sordrock and even I can''t do anything to Sordrock.
"Hey calm down, it''s not like you have to be rude to get your point across, right?" Attempting to calm the situation down I started to mediate.
"But he won''t forge for me, all he has to do is forge my weapon."
"Throwing items will not help you to get what you want will it?" after listening to my reason he started to calm down, that was until he saw someone else come up and politely ask Sardrock to forge the items they wanted, then he lost it.
"If you don''t start forging my items within the next 10 minutes, I will kill you. You''re just an NPC what can you do to me?"
Although it was kind of Sardrocks fault for forging the other person''s items in front of him, then again people shouldn''t act aggressively in front of NPCs because behind the NPCs is the AI and no one wants to mess with the AI.
I started to get angry, Sardrock was like my extended family, if anyone does anything to him then I will attack that person.
"HEY, CALM IT, NOW." After shouting at him, he became quiet and just looked at me, I carried on.
"Now that you have finally calmed down, can you just tell me what is wrong? Its pretty obvious Sardrock isn''t going to forge for you now." If he doesn''t answer me now then I''ll just walk on, I could be levelling up my blacksmith abilities right now instead of talking to these people.
"What does it have to do with you? I''m trying to speak with Sordrock, this is none of your business, sojust leave."
After he said I did exactly that, I just left, walking into the blacksmith.
"Hello Sordrock, need me to do anything for you today?"
"Welcome apprentice, as the apprentice of the Divine Smith Sordrock you need to show me your blacksmithing skills."
"Okay, you stand there while I go forge a sword for you." I was extremely happy, I would get to show off my talents at smithing if I have any that is.
I walked up to the forge and chose a spare hammer, unfortunately, I''m not ''experienced''enough to use it.
After picking up my hammer I walked over to the iron bars and chose a couple to use for forging the sword, I then selected a material to make the grip from which just happened to be from the leg of a wolf, chose some leather strips to put around the grip to make it comfortable to grip.
After selecting all the materials I went over to the forge, added the coal and used the bellows to get it to the proper temperature to soften the metal so it is easier to hammer, after the temperature is reached, I took the iron bars from the forge and started to flatten the metal into a rectangular shape to make the base of the sword, after flattening the metal I cut a small part away from the bottom to use as the handguard.
After flattening the metal, I used the hardy tool to cut away small parts at a time to create the tip and cut away parts to make the handle of the sword, after doing that I went onto the handguard, I put the metal used for the handguard back into the forge so to make it easier for when I use the hardy tool to cut through the metal, after cutting into the handguard, I slid it up to the shoulder of the blade and put it to one side, picking up the wolf bone for the grip I used a saw and cut off both ends and used a chisel to cut through the bone top to bottom sliding that up the handle. You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
Wrapping the grip, to wrap the leather onto the grip I used silver wire, this is quite expensive, one bar of silver is 25 silver pieces, which then I''d have to melt down to make silver wire, after wrapping the grip with the leather and silver wire.
After making the grip I go back to the sword and use the grindstone to sharpen both sides of the sword to make it double-edged with a pointed tip, thus creating my first sword.
...
I made my first sword, I couldn''t be happier.
Until I saw the stats, then I realized I should probably not be happy about it.
Iron Sword (White - Common)
The first sword ever made by Rose Trinity.
Level Requirement - 2
Attack: 1-4
"So what do you think, great for a first try right?" I walked up to him with my newly made sword.
"It was alright for a first try, next time to make a better sword though alright?"
I could tell that he wasn''t very pleased with the fact that my sword was bad, of course, him being unhappy caused me to be unhappy.
Ignoring everyone I walked up to the forge and started practising making iron swords, I wasn''t going to finish until I had made a green sword.
...
Several hours later.
Another fail... Up to this point, I had made a pile of useless swords, just a pile of common white grade swords, without caring for the time I continued to forge swords, I wouldn''t give up until I had managed to make an uncommon green sword.
...
2 hours later.
Finally. I had managed to make it, it was worth the large amount of time I had spent forging, I had finally made a sword that could possibly make Sardrock happy, of course, at the same time I was thinking, if this doesn''t make you happy then I don''t really care anymore, I would log off that instant and spend the rest of the day being depressed.
"Sordrock, what do you think about this sword?"
I handed the sword over.
Iron Sword (Green - Uncommon)
The First Uncommon sword made by Rose Trinity.
Level required: 5
Attack: 5-15
Strength + 2
"This sword is better compared to your last, here take this as your reward."
As a reward for your hard work Sordrock has awarded you:
2 Pieces of Refined Iron.
I was surprised by the reward given by Sordrock, refined iron is just like normal iron except it has been refined over and over again, removing the impurities making it a harder and stronger material, better to use and extremely valuable for someone who is still inside the beginner village.
"Thank you for the reward, I promise I won''t use it until I have a better blacksmithing skill."
I knew using it now would only ruin the refined iron.
"You can use it if you want, but I won''t replace it if you ruin the material."
After he said that he walked off.
I went to the front of the blacksmith preparing to go back to the wolves so that I can level up some more, but I noticed the group of users standing in front of the blacksmith still.
I walked up to them, asking "What are you lot still doing here?"
"Still trying to get something forged."
They looked all depressed so I decided to do them a favour and ask Sordrock for them, so I went back inside to find him.
After walking to the forge furthest away I saw him preparing materials.
"Sordrock can you forge for those waiting outside the blacksmith?"
"Why should I do that? Those arrogant fools will have to stand there forever if they want me to make items for them." He huffed arrogantly, clearly annoyed by what they did earlier.
"Sordrock, can you please help them? It''s annoying them just standing there all day complaining." I pleaded for them, after all when you''re standing near the front of the shop you can hear them complaining.
"Fine, if I do this for you, you better create a rare grade weapon within 20 days." He used this for bargaining.
I clearly knew what he saw saying, he wanted me to do the impossible, by agreeing to him I knew that I would end up spending all my time forging, although it is possible to gain exp when you are forging, that isn''t availableuntil you reach level 10, making all these forged works mostly useless because you can''t sell white common gear as it is common, literally useless for players, even knowing this I knew that I would have to agree, or else it is possible he might be upset about me wanting to refuse to forge, after all, it isn''t like you can become an apprentice to a Divine Smith.
"Alright, I''ll make you a rare grade item within 20 days, so can you please forge them items." I said while pouting, clearly trying to act cute to make sure he keeps his end of the deal.
"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" He spoke whilst walking towards the front of the store.

Chapter 8: The blueprint
I didn''t stay to watch him forge.
Knowing that it will be near impossible to create an item with the rating of rare or higher, I started thinking about making a plan.
I searched for various things, such as going mining for rare materials, just spending all the time practising, etc.
The best I could come up with a blueprint, blueprints are considered as special items, they tell you what you need to make the item, and how to make it, but what you don''t know is that you can customize them, change parts here and there making it your own unique blueprint, and by making a blueprint you can then sell it to other people, of course, all blueprints have limits, if you make a blueprint which says you can make rare - legendary versions of it, then you cant make common, uncommon, mythic, etc. It will just fail during the smithing process wasting all the materials and your time.
I walked towards the auction house, I had gained a total of 1 gold from completing Sordrocks repeating quest, having 1 gold right now was considered godly, most people would barely have 20 silver let alone 1 gold.
Walking into the auction house I noticed it was packed, with very little room for people to move about, luckily the auction house only requires you to go to the desk if you want to sell something when buying you choose what you want from the list and it takes the money from your inventory and sends you the item directly to your mail.
After opening the auction tab via my inventory I looked for blueprints, of course when searching for blueprints it was hard, because you could literally get blueprints for everything and being this early in the game it would be filled with common - rare blueprints, making rare the highest level you can get, the reason this doesn''t suit me is because it is the highest, meaning that the chance of making it will literally be 1-5%, meaning out of 100 tries I could make as little as 1 and at most 5, but even that doesn''t guarentee anything, I could literally make thousands and get 0 rares.
The easy way to solve this problem, change the price range, from 0 copper - 1000 gold to 10 silver - 5 gold. being in beginner village it limits what you can sell items for to 1000 gold, but late game you would see a mythic blueprint selling for 1,000,000 gold.

A Shield using Refined Iron and Stormcallers crystal as the base materials.
Price: 3 gold 45 silver.
Time Left: 17:54:31
Buy-out Price: 25 gold.
Seller: Perished Saint
These 4 items were the best that I could find for early game, apart from Stormcaller crystal and Flame Essence, all the other parts are reasonably easy to gather.
Looking at the 4 I decided to give up on the wolf fur shield, although it would be reasonably easy to procure the items to make it, I''m just not that good at using fur to create items, being a blacksmith that is, well starting from the top of the other 3 I sent a message to Dominator Chris.
"Hello, are you willing to sell me Vengeance of the Depths to me?" Hopefully, he doesn''t remember me, if he does then the chances of me getting this blueprint is slim.
"Clearly you can''t afford it or else you would have bid on it, tell me how much you are willing to offer."
Well, at least he doesn''t remember my voice, thinking that I told him my offer straightforward.
"1 Gold."
...
He didn''t reply to me for 20 seconds so I called out to him again.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
"You still there?"
"Still here, but come back when you have a serious offer, okay?" Saying that I didn''t bother with him anymore and went over to the next name ''Corrupted Valour''.
"Hello, are you willing to sell the Short-Sword blueprint to me?"
"Price."
That''s it? No small talk? I couldn''t tell whether he/she was being arrogant or straightforward, so I just sent him my price.
"95 silver."
"Are you sure?"
After receiving that message I knew that maybe he/she would consider it, so I tried to offer more incentive.
"What if I give you the first one I successfully forge? Would you sell it to me then?"
...
A couple of seconds went by but I had yet to hear a sound, so I continued to wait, hopefully, he/she was considering it.
...
2 minutes had passed, I was just about to move onto the last person when I heard the reply.
"If you forge us 2 I will give you the blueprint for free, but you will have to pay a deposit of 1 gold, of course, the gold will be returned when you forge the swords for us."
"Okay, where do you want to meet?"
"Meet me outside the auction house, if you aren''t here within 5 minutes then the deals off and you can find another blueprint."
Arrogant, now I realized he was being straightforward, just straight up arrogance.
I walked outside and noticed the name, it was a man.
He had a rectangular face, with a slightly pointed chin and a sharp jawline. His evenly spaced slightly large eyes underneath his arched eyebrows, under his arched eyebrows, washis nose, his nose was slightly broad, not too big, not too small, under his nose was mouth, he had thin lips which held a smile, though this smile seemed as if it was more threatening then friendly, as if you could hide a million thoughts behind it. He had a slightly narrow neck, with broad shoulders and a big chest, nor too fat or too thin, he was just over 6 ft tall, slightly taller than me so he had to lower his head to speak to me.
"Hello Rose Trinity, you have the gold ready?" His voice was deep and booming as if he could cause an earthquake everytime he spoke.
"Yes" I replied timidly, I knew that this person wasn''t someone I would want to cross in my lifetime, although I was once champion in this game that was only singles. People viewed me as a witch with no heart, I had been cold to people too many times that even teams would be frightened just by seeing me, anyone who had invited me got their entire team wiped, too many people had too many grudges, as a result, I only knew famous singles players, the singles tournament wasn''t even about winning, if you won that you would receive invites from teams and join them in team, guild and even national championships, the reward money from that was worth tens of millions if not hundreds.
Corrupted Valour has invited to you trade.
Would you like to accept?
I accepted, we traded my gold coin for his blueprint.
Corrupted Valour has sent you a friend request.
Would you like to accept?
I instantly accepted as if I didn''t then he might get the impression I was scamming him.
After accepting we went our own ways.
I walked back to the forge so I could start my forging.

"Crap." looking at the blueprint I realized something important, my blacksmith level isn''t high enough...
"Ah well. Nothing I can do about it now." Although I was speaking outside it wasn''t to someone in particular, mainly because I didn''t really know anyone that is.
I finally arrived in front of the blacksmith, fortunately, that group of users has already left... Or so I thought.
But, unfortunately for me, they hadn''t although they finally quietened down, making it easier to deal with, I think they were still waiting for Sordrock to finish forging, if he was forging at that. It''s not like I can guarantee that he is forging for them, although he should be, or else I wouldn''t have agreed to forge a blue grade equipment within 20 days.
Well, I need to wait until Sordrock is finished to see if he knows where I can get Fire Essence.
...
1 Hour later and Sordrock still hadn''t appeared, quickly changing my mind I decided to forge some items to improve my blacksmithing level, if I was able to level up once or twice before he finishes then I''ll have saved quite a bit of time, although I had already wasted an hour waiting for nothing.
....
3 Hours later and I had successfully levelled up my forging level twice.
Rookie Blacksmithing level 9 (01%) - The higher the level the higher the chances of making White (common), Green (uncommon), Blue (Rare), Purple (Epic), Orange (Legendary), Gold (Mythic) equipment, also improves overall productivity and time it takes to create items.
Rookie Appraisal Level 5 (79%) - Gives you the ability to appraise equipment when necessary. The maximum level of appraisal: Green (Uncommon). Use Appraisal on items to increase the amount of exp gained.
Rookie Weaponsmithing Level 7 (93%) - Used to create weapons, the higher the level the better the chances of making a higher grade weapon. Highest grade weapon: Blue (Rare).
Rookie Armorsmithing Level 2 (0%) - Used to create Armor, the higher the level the better the chances of making a higher grade weapon. Highest grade Armor: Blue (Rare).
Divine Smiths Apprentice Level 3 (75%) - You have become the apprentice of a Divine Smith. Exp gained from blacksmithing + 15%, Chance of adding extra skills or stat points when smithing an item, Chance of doubling the proficiency gained when smithing an item.
1 more level then I can forge it, but I need to get the materials first. After wiping away the copious amounts of sweat I went to see if Sordrock had finished, I looked around but he wasn''t at the front of the shop, neither were the group of users, so I proceeded towards the back of the shop.
I found the group of people, but no Sordrock, so I continued to look around.
After walking into the back forge I noticed that he had just finished forging, I decided to wait until he had handed the equipment over to the others.
After he walked out I heard the shouts of shock and gratification.
"Thanks, O'' Great Blacksmith"
"HAVE YOU SEEN THIS WEAPON? IT''S CLEARLY OVERPOWERED."
"Mine."
"No, this is yours. That beast is mine."
Clearly, they had only looked at the stats on the equipment because a minute later the laughter and shouting stopped, instead you could hear the sadness in their voices.
"What level? It''s level 10. Are you serious? How do you expect me to wait until level 10 to use it?"
Clearly, they started to get annoyed at the fact that they couldn''t use the equipment they had asked for.
Being Sordrock he obviously held a high amount of disdain for them and straight up told them why he had forged them.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"These were only forged for you because my apprentice accepted my impossible task, if you don''t want them then I''ll take them and give them to my apprentice, after all, getting her hands on decent equipment will be hard for a while, until she improves her blacksmithing skills that is."
They stopped talking and looked towards the blacksmith, they knew that the blacksmith wasn''t someone they should anger, but it was all too late, they had acted arrogantly towards someone they shouldn''t.
Now that they found out that it was his apprentice that made him forge the items they knew that their guild wouldn''t be able to entice the NPC to join as a head blacksmith.
Instead, the leader Dominator Chris targetted the apprentice.
"May we know who your apprentice is? So that we can thank her?"
"Sure, but that depends on whether or not she wants to meet you, I''m not going to force my apprentice to do things she doesn''t want to do."
He went back to the forge and wanting to ask me, but he realized that I had overheard everything and just awaited my answer.
"No, I don''t want to meet them." I tried to buy his blueprint but he was extremely arrogant. If he wanted to meet me then he would have to beg.
Hearing my answer Sordrock didn''t show a face of either happiness or sadness, as if he had expected my answer to be that all along, he walked back to the group of users and told them my answer.
"My apprentice said no." Sordrock was straightforward.
At this point, I started to peak outside the forge to see what kind of expression they had.
Unexpectedly, they didn''t say anything and just walked away.
Shortly afterwards I walked to Sordrock and asked him about Fire Essence.
"You can find if you go to Mount Ryfont and fight the fire elementals there."
After he said that I started my way there.

Finally arriving at Mount Ryfont I searched for the entrance to the centre of the mountain, where the Fire Elementals can be found.
....
After walking for 30 minutes I finally found what I was for, although it was a tad bit different from what I had expected and by a tad bit I mean massively, and by massively it turned out to be a dungeon and it was a dungeon I had completed before, although it was a long time ago since I had last challenged this dungeon, it was called "Elemental Lair", it was called this because it actually contains several elementals, it contains earth, water and fire elementals and could be considered the hardest dungeon in the starter village and it started outside.
Walking up to the entrance, I saw Corrupted Valour and his team getting ready to start this dungeon.
I walk past them, although I do have a trade deal with them doesn''t mean that they''ll help me get the materials required to make it.
This game has a component that allows the users to hire NPCs, so you can actually invite NPCs to join dungeons, but doing this will cost youa largeamount of coins, based on the NPCs level, skills and mastery levels. It being this early in the game means that no players have access to mastery levels, at level 10 you gain your first mastery level, which can be both good and bad.
But back to the dungeon, Elemental Lair starts from easiest to hardest, the easiest being the ''Earth Elementals'' people this early will say that they are the hardest, but that''smainly because people haven''t gotten to theWater or fire elementals, the key part of theEarth elementals being that they have high def, that''s about it, the hp they have is relatively normal and the attack they have can be considered as low, the only problem being that they take time to kill because they are literally tanks.
If I could I would hire NPCs to complete this dungeon after all the NPCs have a 4% chance to improve skills, levels and grades just by being hired, and when you hire them for dungeons they gain exp, mastery level exp and skill level exp just like every other player.
I looked for the people who were advertising for the dungeon.
"Looking for healer and tank (3/5)"
"Looking for Thief(4/5)"
"Looking for experienced Thief and Tank (3/5)."
After looking through all the people I applied for the second team, after all, I need these materials and I need them fast.
"What level?" The large warrior who appeared to be the team leader asked me.
"3." I could only tell them my level, anything else would look like I''mbragging or arrogant.
"Come back when you''re at least level 6, being level 3 will only slow us down."
As I thought beinglevel 3 doesn''t do me any favours, I continued to search for a team after team getting the same replies.
"Maybe when you level up, being level 3 will only drag the team down."
"Go kill wolves, we don''t need to be carrying a noob thief around the dungeon as well."
At this point, I was about to give up when Corrupted Valour approached me.
"You seem to be having trouble finding a team."
"How much? I will literally pay you any amount of coins, just not right now, if you let me join you." I was pretty desperate at this point, I needed to find a team and complete the dungeon numerous amounts of times so that I can get enough fire essence to make the sword.
"We don''t need your money, but if you want we can complete the dungeon together."
It sounded like he was trying to get close to me, but I really did need this chance so I accepted.
"Okay, Invite me."
Corrupted Valour has invited you to join his team.
Would you like to accept?
I accepted straight away and looked at the team.Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation.

It appears that those 3 are hiding their levels on purpose, I wonder what expression they will have when they see my level, as I was thinking that I heard them.
"Woah, where did the level 3 come from?"
"Are we really taking this level 3 with us?"
"What are we going to do with a level 3?"
"I invited her, if you have a problem then you can always leave."
They clearly disliked me, but when they heard Corrupted Valour talk they backed down.
I greeted them,
"Hello, my name is Rose Trinity, but you can call me Alicia."
"Hi."
"Hello."
"Hey."
They clearly disliked me, only saying the basic hello.
After the greeting was finished we walked towards the entrance to the dungeon.

Chapter 11: The Earth Golem boss
Just before we got into the dungeon we heard the booming voice.
"What difficulty would you like to select?"
Little did we know that Corrupted Valour had already chosen and he had chosen the hardest difficulty possible.
"Hell"
Hearing him say that I became dazed, I''m level 3, level 3 on hell mode, that''s like being level 1 and attacking village/town/city guards. It is literally a death trap.
Before I could say anything we were teleported into the dungeon.
"Hell mode? really?" I had to question whether or not he was really sane.
"What, you got a problem with that?" He just stood there staring at me.
"Ah well, we''ve already started." I got used to my surroundings again.
We were inside a dense forest, the trees as tall as 40 ft, in front was a pathway to walk across.
I walked to the edges of the forest and tried to hide, when hiding in cover you could receive anywhere between a 10-15% increase to stealth.
I found out that you can only move a few trees in before it stops you from moving, I saw the party started moving forward.
...
after 10 minutes of walking,
we finally reached the first Earth Golem.

"Okay, then I guess you can kill it then?" His face turned into a beaming smile, whilst mine started to wither.
"Want me to try?" I smiled at him, I could kill it but it would take some time.
"Go ahead." He and his team sat down and waited for me.

I had levelled up again, and the golem had died and dropped the beloved ''Lockpicking skill book''
"I killed it so I want to choose this lockpicking skill book alright?" Even though he had agreed to give me a drop from it, I had to confirm, he could have easily kicked me from the party then I would be kicked out of the dungeon and all the possible exp and fire essence would be lost.
"We agreed you could choose, so you can take it." He still had a smile as if he didn''t really care about the skill book.
I quickly used it.
Congratulations, you have learned the Lockpicking Skill.

Chapter 12: The Earth Golems death
As we walked towards the Earth Golem Boss we noticed the pathways getting smaller and smaller, as if it was a funnel.
Almost at the end of this funnel, we noticed that there was a cave-like giant room up front, large enough to fit a small mountain.
Around the edges of the cave stood sharp rocks, they looked as if they were sharp spikes stuck on the walls, purposely pointing inwards to hinder our fight.
In the middle of the room was the dormant Earth Golem Boss, it was as if it was asleep, we crept closer towards the boss room.

"Nope, but were still going to kill it, so it doesn''t matter either way." He looked at me like I was an idiot.
After he said that Corrupted Defiance ran up towards the boss, I hadn''t noticed this before as I didn''t pay much attention, but you can tell what class he was by the weapons they use.
Corrupted Defiance being the warrior Tank with his Blue sword and green shield.
Corrupted Tiger being the archer with his Blue Short bow.
Corrupted wealth being the healer mage with his Blue Staff.
Corrupted Valour being the warrior DPS using 2 swords, one blue grade and the other green.

I was standing there wondering what to do when Corrupted Valour walked up to me.
"What are you doing?"
"No idea, I don''t really know if I''ll be any help during this boss." I didn''t have a single clue about what I will or will not be doing.
"Why don''t you just go attack? Although your equipment is quite shoddy, mainly because you are lacking all but a dagger and bracers." He encouraged me to do something so I did.
I quietly sneaked around the back of the golem boss looking for a weak point, where I might possibly be able to get a crit against it.
Slowly circling it, I noticed that just above the giant knee that there was a place I could stab, which could possibly be a weak point and give me increased damage.
Straight after, I went into stealth and walked towards it.
Standing right behind the area I wanted to stab, I used the skill Backstab and stabbed right into the joint.

Stunned 2 seconds.
Weak Point hit -25% boss defence.
I ran back to Corrupted Valour, I noticed that he even looked surprised and asked me.
"So, how''d you do that exactly?"
I answered, "Well I looked for a possible weak point, then walked slightly closer towards him, used stealth and backstabbed him, it wasn''t as if I had already known that would happen, but the stun would only have a 25% chance to work on a boss, that is unless they were stun resistant, then it would decrease."
"Okay." He looked at me as if he didn''t believe me and then walked towards the boss to join in on killing it.The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
Meanwhile, I was waiting for my cooldowns to finish then I would be able to go search for another weak point, making it easier for the team to kill it.
After the cooldowns finished I walked around the sides of the boss, but this time the boss always had an eye on me, making it harder for me to go behind him to look for a weak point, so I waited.
...
5 minutes later and the health bar above the boss had decreased around 50% and when I started walking around the boss, he no longer paid any attention to me, so I walked behind it.
This time I focused on the other knee, I wasn''t anywhere near being tall enough to target other key areas, such as the shoulder joints, or even the neck.
After getting close to the boss, I used stealth and headed towards the knee joint.
When I was close enough, I used backstab, dealing large amounts of damage.
-741
Weak Point Hit -25% boss defence.
After succeeding for the 2nd time I ran away to let my cooldowns finish.
This time, no matter how many times I tried to go behind the boss, it wouldn''t take its eyes away from me, luckily it only had 5% of its health left, so I just watched as they finished it off.

"Well that was fun, what did it drop?" I asked as I walked over towards it.
"It dropped quite a few things, but you will only be able to use 1." Corrupted Valour was straightforward.

After picking up the leg guards, we started walking forwards, the room was huge and any number of things could possibly pop up out of nowhere, making things more difficult for us.
Reaching halfway through the cave we saw what appeared to be an exit.
It was an arched doorway, it was covered in skulls from both all kinds of races, not a single skull being fully intact, as if parts of them had been devoured, each skull was covered in a different colour as if they had all been gildedusing various metals, some of the metals I could recognise, the Human skull being gilded in gold, whilst the Orc skull looked as if it was gilded with copper, it looked both scary and strange, the sheer amount of skulls located here made it look scary, but the colours of the skulls and the different metals used made it look strange.
Instead of a door, it had a medieval grid gate, made from some sort of pitch-black metal that I have never seen before.
I started to approach the gate with the rest of the team whilst asking "So, who actually wants to go through that gate? It''s not like I''m scared or anything, but we could maybe just avoid it if you want?"
All 4 of them abruptly stopped in their tracks, I walked into the back of Corrupted Defiance and falling over.
"HEY, WHY''D YOU ALL JUST STOP." Damn, that hurt, I was annoyed, they all just stopped for some reason.
"Ahem. Didn''t you just basically admit you were scared of the possible way out?" Corrupted Valour said, whilst the rest of them started laughing.
"Doesn''t mean that I won''t go through it, I was just thinking that there may be another way out, you know, instead of the slightly scary and weirdgate." After saying that I thought to myself, ''Strange metal, indeed, what if I get some of that and use it to smith items? Maybe I could trade it with Sordrock for something I can use.''
"I changed my mind, come on let''s go." This time I had changed from standing behind to standing in front, leading the charge towards the gate while leaving the team confused with my sudden change of mind.
...
"We made it, but what now? Don''t suppose any of you know whats going on now then do you?" We had finally made it towards the gate, but now what, it was closed and I couldn''t see a lever in sight.
"I''m heading this way, tell me if you find the lever."
I headed off to the right of the gate looking for the lever whilst thinking ''If there is one that is.''
...
I have been walking for 15 minutes, in a single direction, but have still not found the lever to open the gate, so I started to get impatient. "I''m going back to the gate, we will find the actual way out, okay?" I started heading towards the gate.
...
Back at the gate, I couldn''t find any of them, so I assumed that they had just walked further than me and continued waiting, whilst admiring the creepy skulls.
''They aren''t that weird, people could collect these types of things and this is just them putting it on showin your window, kinda.'' I started to like these types of skulls.
...
Another 10 minutes and they still hadn''t returned, I got up from the ground and picked a skull, I choose what seemed to be a troll skull covered in some kind of green metal and put it in my bag.
After that the gate made a sound, then I noticed that it had started to move, slowly rising, but only just enough for me to fit through it.
''May as well go through the gate now that its finally open'' I walked through the gate as if nothing had happened.
What I didn''t notice was when I walked through the gate, the skull had reappeared on the wall as if it was never taken in the first place.
...
Inside I just continued walking forward as if it was a path, nothing could be seen, as if I was stranded in darkness, that was when I heard his voice.
"Welcome, it has been a long time since I have seen someone daring to come into my trial." It was an old, yet booming voice, as if it contained boundless amounts of wisdom.A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
I was speechless, I didn''t know what to say, so I just introduced myself, "Hello, I''m Rose Trinity, who are you?"
"Ahh, It''s been a long time since someone has asked me my name, I doubt anyone would remember, but you can call me Undarren, and this is my trail, since you have entered my trial, you will have to participate in it, there is no room for negotiation about this."

"Okay, since you made me accept this trail, you might as well tell me what it is you need me to do." I found being straightforward with Sordrock worked, so why not try it with whatever Undarren is.
"You will have 5 stages, a task will be given when you enter each stage. After you complete a stage you will be rewarded and teleported to the next stage." Undarren was straightforward when answering.
''I guess being straightforward worked.''
You will be given a chance to log out after each stage, but you will not be able to log out if you are in the middle of a stage.

Chapter 14: Stage One
After logging out, I noticed that my parents were about to arrive home from work and as always, I started to cook the food, today I chose to make spaghetti bolognese, a nice and easy dish to make after hours upon hours of killing monsters and 10 times better than just eating the pot noodle.
Part way through making it my parents came home, so I greeted them.
"Welcome home." I would always welcome them home with a huge smile on my face.
"What are you making today?" My parents could smell the aroma coming from the kitchen.
"Spaghetti Bolognese, want to try some?" I walked into the room with some sauce in a dish and a spoon.
Although it wasn''t quite ready yet, I could still let them try a small amount, I would also be able to figure out what they like and don''t like.
"I''ll wait." My dad refused, I could see that he was hungry, but just didn''t want to spoil his appetite.
I walked to my mother and handed the dish and spoon to her.
"Tell me if you like and if you want anything added, nows the best time to say." The fact that it wasn''t fully ready meant that I could easily add some herbs, vegetables, etc. to it.
"It tastes great, thank you for making the meals the past couple of days." After saying that she pushed the dish back into my hands.
I walk back into the kitchen and finish making the dish.
...
15 minutes later.
I had finished the dish and put it on a plate and gave everyone a fork and a spoon and we started to eat the meal.
We peacefully ate the meal.
When we finished I took all the washing up, went to the kitchen and washed all the dishes.
After finishing the washing up, I walked back towards my bedroom and went on my computer and looked at the forums for Pandora.
Many people were offering tips for starting out
10 Reasons to start as a Warrior!
Why playing life classes is better than the actual game.
Easy ways to earn gold.
After browsing the various forums for 2 hours, I went to sleep.
...
8 Hours later and I woke up.
It was 7:00 AM.
I went for a shower, then I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a drink before drying my hair.
After finishing my drink, I walked back to the capsule and got in.
...
"Welcome back, are you ready for my trail?" I had yet to figure out where and who this voice actually came from, but I agreed instantly.
"Yes." It had already forced me to accept the quest, it wasn''t like it was going to say ''You can leave if you want''.
After accepting it teleported me to the first stage.
...
It looked like a normal village, everything was the same as the beginner village I started in.
The sky was blue without a cloud in sight, all the houses were made from wood with thatched roofs.
Even the NPCs looked exactly the same as those from the beginner village, the only difference being that they all had no information, when I used Identify nothing could be seen.

I walked around the village and found out nothing.
No one would answer when I spoke to them, they didn''t even move around when I walked passed them, if I was standing in their way, they would actually continue walking and when they fall down, they just stand back up and continue walking, I could tell that this would be troublesome.
Not knowing if he would respond, I asked: "So what do I need to do in this trial?"
"Some of the villagers may have a quest if you talk to them." He voice sounded out from beyond the horizon. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
''Really...'' I thought something was wrong with him, after all that walking around none of the villagers were responding, so I went to one of the only places I hadn''t been in and that was the village elders house, after all, I had already seen the village elder earlier on and even he didn''t respond to me.
Walking into the village elders house, I noticed someone who wasn''t inside the beginner village and that was the ''Village Elders Wife''.
"Hello, do you happen to have a task for me?" I asked, which seemed to have startled her.
"Yes, have you noticed this village? It wasn''t always like this, it used to be thriving, but now the villagers never talk with each other, they don''t even notice anything anymore, as if there''s a plague over the heads of the villagers. Can you find out what is wrong with the villagers?" She looked at me as if there was nothing left in this village.
I looked into her eyes and saw a slight glimmer of hope.
The Village Elders Wife has asked you to find out what is happening with the villagers.
