《Changing Fate》 Prologue I am in a line.... Surrounded by spirits... People are fighting and demanding.... Monsters are saying we are dead.... While I am sad I died it is not as big of a deal to me as it seems to be to everyone else. So, I follow the line and it just keeps going. At some point one of the monsters interrupt the line to lift me up and all I think is, ''I''m going to die.'' However, before I can fully come to terms with my short life I am dropped in front of a woman. All I can think is ''she is beautiful,'' even though I was a man in my past life I never really paid attention to women so it''s suspiring. Before I can fully get my bearings she tells me "because, you died for a little boy who is an innocent soul you can go to the heaven realm but, only if you follow certain conditions." "What are these conditions?" "In your next life you will be female, do you accept?" I think it over and it was not like I was very attached to being a boy anyway, so I accept. She looks at me with something close to pity and says "I will give you a gift to compensate, look at the painting behind me."This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. I do and I see someone who looks like the beginning and the end, war and peace completely neutral, not like Nuwa who is said to be peaceful all the time. I am in veneration and ashamed at my powerlessness. She explains, "That is Pangu he is the firstfeindgod and it is said he created the three realms from primordal chaos, This is a visualization technique to strengthen your soul. There is another one of it''s calliber that is of Nuwa and, that is with another judge. You will remember your past memories at the age of sixteen in the Heaven realm." While I was digesting the information she gave me. She had already implanted the image into my memories. We talked for a few more minutes but, I realized she was busy so she changed my soul to yin nature which is female and also told me something before I left. "Do you know that you are the only one to ever take this deal? I wonder how it will change your fate?" Before I could fully process what she said a guide came in and took me straight to Auntie Meng. It all looked interesting she was giving them the forgetfulness potion and then they would walk into the reincarnation tunnels. I was put onto the line and the closer I got the more I realized that I didn''t want to forget, even if I remembered it would still be sixteen years, I am only nineteen now. That personality would totally override this one. There were only three people in front of me now and then I would be forced to drink the soup. Before the person who was at the front could drink everything started shaking. My soul felt weak and while auntie meng who was going to give us the soup went to defend the path of reincarnation. I saw the soul at the front get destroyed so, when the next person in frontran that spurred me into action and before I realized what I was doing I ran to the tunnel directly behind the forgetfulness potion it was the mortal one. Just as I had passed the threshold it collapsed behind me. Then, all I felt was falling and all I thought was. ''I never finished reading Desolate Era'' Chapter 1 - Rebirth I felt like I was being compressed and ripped apart all at the same time it was agony. Someone was screaming like they were being murdered. As I felt pain that made me want to die. I wondered what happened is my soul getting destroyed? Did I make it through the cycle of reincarnation? Before I can find out the pain finally stops and all I want to do is breathe. So, I did and I never thought breathing would be so comfortable. I am passed around by gaints until a male giant is holding me and all i can think is why is he so angry. He has a gigantic frown on his face and looks completely pissed. He speaks before I can contemplate ideas as to why he would be so upset though. "Not a boy but, a girl. Dissapointing." He shoves me into the arms of a female gaints and she exclaims, "Do you not even care this is your first child?"If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. "No, I don''t," He replies. She keeps shouting at him and no matter what she does he seems completely unaffected and at the end in a defeated voice she begs, "At least name her, please?" "No, you have failed to give me a son you can name your failure I want no part in this," and he walks off without a care in the world. From these hints I get that I did reincarnate and my soul was changed to a girl, I also understand that my mother and I have been abandoned. So, I did the only thing a baby would do in that situation.... I cried but, the maids seemed preocupied so it was only my mother to comfort me. She simply told me, "Don''t cry he left us but, we don''t need him from now on your name is Qin Luan. Your father is of the Qin clan and no matter how much he refuses to accept it you are his first child. Luan is a good name it means Uprising you will definitely revolt and be free like the wind won''t you sweetheart." Even though I know she doesn''t expect me to hear but, silently in my mind I promise to get out of this because, from this day forward it''s just she and I and suprisinglyI''m okay with that. I promise myself to get stronger I''ll get her out of this no matter what, and together we will both be free. Chapter 2 - Determination Four years later... Its been four years since I''ve been reborn into this world and I''ve learnt a lot.The world I was born into is the Grand Xia world it seems to be one of the major world that judge told me about. I''m also pretty sure I was reborn into Ji Ning''s time because, no one knows that name or about a war so it has to be before that. I have also learned that my clan has about the same amount of power and influence of the Ji clan before Ning came. Which means, in our area we have a lot of influence but, outside of it not so much. We are also not the only major power in our area like how the Ji clanis just one of the six major powers. Whilemy Qin clan doesn''t have much infighting between the entire clan that doesn''t mean much between women. I have also learnt that while Ning said he was okay having multiple wives he didn''t know what he was talking about. My father has three wives and six concubines. I hate every one of them, but my mother. She was his first wife, then she had me and obviosly I wasn''t good enough for him. The pregnant ones had looked down on my mother, they all had girls. My mother said she and my father ''fell in love at first sight,'' that''s all bullshit. They had mutual attraction and got married they didn''t know each other and they were nothing close to friends. At least if they were their relationship could''ve fell back on that friendship when attraction wore off. That type of marriage was doomed to fail from the begining. After seeing my mother suffer and when someone else falls out of favor seeing them I swore to myself that would never be me. If I ever married I''d get to know the person, be friends with them and we''d be dao companions not just husband and wife, they would also be my one and only so I''d be theirs. If they cheated on me I had no reason to scream and cry I''d just leave. I think them falling out of favor is a pitiful sad thing but, I don''t pity them. This is my world if I pity them like transmigrators who don''t think of the place they go to as their own world, I will die. While I''m not a boy I''m still father''s eldest child, they see me as a threat, I''m not niave enough to think otherwise. During these four years I have trained I''ve done pushups, squats, situps, and running laps to build muscle. I''ve also trained my mind not just my body, I''ve been through every book in the library and I know every little thing about this area. It''s called the shadowshade mountian, It''s a mountain range and it''s called that because the sun doesn''t usually shine onit so the mountian is casted in the shadows a lot. My soul has also gotten stronger with the visualization technique. I can split my mind three ways. Now, I know I want to walk the path of an immortal. In all the stories I''ve read when people transmigrate into the book of desolate era, they all just jump into the path of an immortal. However those are just stories. I know people in my clan who just wanted to get stronger some of them died because, they were not prepared enough for what that meant. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. It''s sad but, I don''t want to be them so I though it over. Did I really want to take that path? I realized, ''yes I did.'' I wanted to be strong enough to rely on and protect myself. I didn''t want to be in a weak position any more. So, that''s why right now I''m outside of my father''s study. The problem is I don''t know if I should knock or not. When I was just born I though he hated me. I''m not so sure anymore. He isn''t mean to me but, not nice either. His face is always so cold when he sees me. Sometimes I see him looking at me with contemplation. Not hatred or love just contemplating. At those times I always feel so small. Like he''s bisecting me and picking apart my flaws. I lift my hand again to knock but, drop it before it touches the door. While I''m building up the courage to try again the door opens and my father asks me, "Are you coming in?" I know that I can''t stop it anymore and I walk in. My father is a handsome man with black hair and strong regal features but, I always think ''he''d look better if he smiled.'' Before I can think about it anymore he asks, "What would you like to speak about Luan." I know he shouldn''t but, sometimes my father scares me. However, I don''t think about that but, instead look him right in the eye and tell him, "I want to be an immortal." "Do you know what that means Luan?" "That I have to have the resolve to walk the path." "Luan did you know I had a brother?" "No where is he?" "He is dead Luan, he had just started walking the parth of a cultivator, he was just like you he had read everything and was resolved to walk his path but, he died because to be a cultivatoris to be a target." I wanted to say something but, right now father just looks so sad. "Luan are you resolved to die without provoking anyone just because you cultivate? Do you have the resolve to have mortals hate you because, they can''t understand your world of the strong live and the weak die?" "Father there is risk in anything please let me cultivate." I bow while doing this to let him know I''m serious. "Fine but, you do know that you can''t cultivate by Ki refining this young?" "Yes father I want to cultivate in feindgod refining then when I''m old enough Ki." "Fine, Fine, since you have figured everthing out, Brother Jason bring the feindgod techniques from the library please." he shouts the last part to his spirit beast. I know from this point on there is no going back I have to get to the top or die trying. Chapter 3 - Pain When Uncle Jason comes back in it has been five minutes and the silence was awkward to say the least. So, when the door creacked open both of us abruptly turned our heads to see what it was. Uncle Jason came in and when he saw us staring at him he froze. Even though he is a 20 feet tall snake diremonster our stares were unnerving. Uncle Jason and father had a bond that crossed through species it seemed to be a real brotherhood. Uncle Jason was a diremonster that could take human form all diremonsters except the ones with feindgod lineage could take human form when they reach Xiatian level. Even though my father knew that I had went through all the books in the library and knew most of these things he still specially explained the path of an immortal to me. "To start on the path of immortality you first start at Houtian level, this is the level that all animals, humans, and monsters are born in the human lifespan is 100 years. To be a houtian martial artis is to start your training to be an immortal. To officially step onto the path of extending your lifespan is to be a Xiatian. A human Xiatian has a lifespan of 200 years. I will not tell you more about it because, you may reach too far and fall too fast." I know that most of this I''ve read from books but, to have him carefully explain it to me was better than aything I''ve ever felt. I like to think my father loves me. Though he''s never told me in his simple actions like that he shows his love for me. Sometime, I''d like to go back to the time when everything was simple and just my mother and I. However, I think without getting his simple concern I would be quite dejected. This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. "Luan there are 20 abridged versions of all of the fiendgod techniques we have in the clan choose." When he explained all of that to me then he showed me the options I had to become a feindgod refiner. Just like Ji Ning I realized that Crimsonbright of the Nine heavens was one of them. I knew that Ji Ning had done this but, I didn''t want to follow the same path as he did so, I place it to the side as a maybe. I look though almost all of the books. I see some that are just plain harmful like soak in a volcano for days to be connected with fire. I see others that wouldn''t make me strong enough and some where you don''t even need effort like, carve tatoos on your body for strength. I went through nineteen and I''m on the last one thinking that in the end I will be using the Crimsonbright of the Nine Heavens. The title says [Grace and Beauty of the Heavens]. That makes me automatically think it''s weak but, I open it anyway. The first words that pop out are bold and delightful. It says ''If we claim to be number two for females in Feindgod Tenchniques no one can be number one.'' Then they go on to explain what it is. The gist of it is this feindgod technique is all about the divine tatoos naturally forming. Instead of the sun and moon providing the power this power comes from all stars in the universe. There are some that are nturally stronger than others for this technique. For example, if I somehow go to a planet that is mostly ice my cultivation would go much faster because, in this cultivation technique chill equals grace.
