《Dragons Blood》 Moonlight The moonlit forest was dark and the owls cooed from their trees. A distant wolf howled from the surrounding mountains. Luna strolled silently through the bushes to her small cottage in the woods. The fresh fallen snow gleamed and sparkled like small stars and made Luna smile. Lunas silver and lilac purple colored hair hang loosely down her back. She walked in through a white wooden door and took off her shoes, Her owl spirit watched from his perch and made a small "hoot" sound. He flew and landed carefully on her shoulder and rubbed his beak against her cheek. Luna scratched him slightly and giggled quietly. The owl flew down and picked one of his beautiful pure white feathers and gave it happily to his master. He placed it gently in her hair and flew up to her hand. She smiled brightly and kissed him on the beak. "Thank you, Bigglesworth it''s truly beautiful" Luna said with a soft and gentle voice. Luna went to the study and sat down at her black ebony desk. She took the feather out of her hair and hardened it in light blue tree resin, With a twirl of her finger a jeweled box magically floated down from a tall shelf. Luna opened the bejewelled box and took out a silver onyx necklace that complemented her missmatched violet and blue eyes. She made a small hole in the feather and attached it to the necklace. The stone shined and gleamed in the light of the lit candles. Luna frowned and put it around her thin pale neck. "Might as well fill it with some energy for later usage". She held her tattooed hand over some plants, Her tattoo started to glow and sparkle faintly in whites and silver. She drained their life force and the plants became brown and crumbled to pieces. She bent the energy into her necklace and went to grab a healing potion. Luna felt guilt for killing the plants and poured the reddish brown liquid into the pots. The once green plants regrew unnaturally fast and looked more healthier. Pleased with her work Luna looked at Bigglesworth who sat on his small pedestal and soundly slept. Luna smiled and kissed Bigglesworth gently on the beak and walked quietly into her chambers. The marble stone floor felt cold to the touch against her bare feet. when she opened the door the fireplace lit itself on fire. She listened to the calm smattering and crackling sound of burning wood. The scent of smoking pine filled her nosetstrills. Puppets of shadows danced over the hanging tapestries. Luna laid down in her bed and watched the scenery before her. The shadows manifested into a dragons and different kinds of marvelous beasts from her past. She changed into a cream colored cotton dress with lace and embroidered blue roses. The dress skirt was long and almost dragged behind her when she walked. Luna tucked a strand of silver hair behind her ear. A golden sapphire circlet rested lightly on her brow. She walked into the kitchen. Boiled cream treats filled a pot on the stove as a burning fireplace filled the room with warmth. Luna enjoyed small things like cooking even though that she could summon something from thin air with her magic. Luna took out a big bowl from the top cabinet and placed it on the counter. She snapped her fingers and a small basket filled with pancake ingredients materialized on the long dining table. Luna picked the basket up and called on Bigglesworth. The snow white owl flew towards her and landed on the chandelier. Light cascaded through hanging crystals and painted the walls in iridescent rainbow colors. Birds chirped and sang from their branches. Luna heard a loud knock on her front door and went to open it. Luna looked around but no one was there. A sudden faint cry of a small child drew her attention. Her heart pounded slightly in her chest. She looked down a little confused and picked it up gently into her arms. Luna carefully wiped tears of the child''s face and smiled. The mysterious child calmed down and stopped weeping. The child tugged Lunas hair a little and giggled. Luna chuckled slightly and sighed. Bigglesworth sat patiently at the porch and watched. Luna said "I think we have a new member to our cozy little family, Old friend" Bigglesworth chirped and curiously as he watched the child. Luna walked inside and waved her hand in a circular motion. A swirl of silver magic made the baby hover carefully in the air. Luna frowned her brow and pulled out a pink quartz stone from an nearby old hanging tapestry. She threw it hard onto the ground and it shattered into a million pieces. The shards glowed and started to shake and build itself back into different shapes. The crystal grew larger and larger until it turned into a crib. Luna placed the baby in her new little bed. "As queen, but also as the great witch, I am sworn to protect my people and kingdom. " Luna repeated her oath inside her head. But deep down she worried slightly for her child. Arrogance with power could easily kill like a blade to the throat. She knew that the child had magic capabilities which could easily be tainted by others. Luna tilted her head to the side and lifted the crib and moved it to her room. The only thing that could be heard was the soft tapping of her footsteps on stone floor. Luna put the crib down in the middle of her room and kissed the baby on the head. Bigglesworth landed on his perch and looked at her in the eyes ˇ°Do you want me to get a blanket for her?.ˇ± Luna only smiled ˇ°If you really want to, then yes pleaseˇ± Bigglesworth jumped up to a tall shelf and grabbed a soft linen blanket. Chapter 3 Hunting Luna glared slightly at Bigglesworth who stood standing on one of the tall shelves and plucked his feathers. Luna nodded to him and linked her mind to his thoughts. Her bones and body grew bigger and a pair of dark grey horns grew from her forehead. She flapped her wings and climbed higher and higher towards the clouds. Luna roared with excitement and flew for what felt like hours. She spread her consciousness over the green fields and detected a big promising prey. Luna licked her sharp teeth like a starving wolf and prepared to dive. She opened her big clawes and bent her wings towards her body. Luna dived and grabbed the deer by the side and crushed it with her massive weight. She sank her dagger like teeth into it`s neck and ripped off the head in one loud bone chrushing snap. Metallic tasting blood filled her mouth and splashed on her purple and white scales. She torn the deer''s chest open with her claws and feasted on its delicious flesh. Luna licked the blood from her claws and hissed at a approaching pack of wild dogs. They whined and whimpered before they bowed to their queen. ˇ° .. fine i can share my food with you..ˇ± she sighed and threw the rest of the deer to the starving pack. Luna landed on one of the castle towers and transformed back into her human self. She slid down to the balcony and straightened her dress. Luna took a deep breath before she opened the big wooden doors. She sniffed the air & felt the scent of a fairy, She scanned the room. A tall elf approached her and held out his hand ˇ°Don''t mind him, He is just my personal secretary. My name is William Heartstrings and I represent The Councilˇ± Luna forced a smile and shaked his hand ˇ°What brings me the honor?" The small fairy shifted into a more human form and grinned ˇ° My name is Zephyrˇ±. Luna glanced at his face and tried to put it in her memories. He was dressed in a simple fitting black t-shirt and gray linen pants. A red decorated dragonrune notepad hang loosely from his leather belt and he held a big pencil case in hand. Luna glared into his eyes and smirked a sly grin before she walked off.
