《The Power of Boredom Is Limitless》 (Prologue) The Beginning to the Path of Shedding Boredom I took a gamble, a smallminusculegamble that hasabsolutelyno risk to me whatsoever, but a gamble indeed it was I waschoosingthe first world to be my sandbox. What shall I choose? Magic, RPG style, Zombie survival? The number of choicesareinfinite "The second option soundsappealing" I thought as I tore a hole through reality to my new destination and all went to black _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ As the darkness faded a new worldexpandedaround me, full of lush greenery and dense woodlands. Uninterested in mybeautifulsurroundings Iproceededto the first stepofshedding my boredom, purging the moral compass I once held so dear and the bias to kindness with it. As I began to purge said compass from my mind I began to feel a sense of balance, I did not feel kindnor, cruelgood nor evil. But I felt I was capable of doing both. As I finally began to focus on the world surrounding me I felt an ominous air, "This world is more corrupt then is seems" I dryly laughed, and began to head towards the nearest townThis story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. As I walked I thought about all the things I could do in this world, help the demon king, kill the royal family, become the hero? Each idea brought a growing sense of amusement and apprehension As a reached the first town I encountered in this world I thought only one word, "Disgusting". This collection of shacks was barelyqualifiedto be a town as dust, mud, feces and heavyvegetationwere scatteredamongstthisso-calledtown. The peasants themselves were no better off but Inoticed something odd, I felt intense gazes coming from these peasantscontainingextremefanaticismand reverence. I hadrealizedmyblunder, myappearanceand godly aura were still visible. I in my weaker times was jokingly called an angel due to my silver hair with a prismatic gleam and my eyescoloredan odd everchanging prismatic grey, with a final kicker of skin as white as jade.Despiteall these features I by some godsend managed to still look handsome and masculine. "Angel!" one young girl shouted, with this word the entire crowd becameinvigoratedand stormed towards me. Which in all likeness looked like a herd offilthyshitcoveredwolves all wanting to get abite?"Please heal my wife!" "Can you save my garden!" "Take my children with you!" all these voicesclamoredover each other creating a kind of buzz. I who have finally reached my limit, raised my hand. As my hand went up the crown went silentanticipatingwhat divine message I wasgoing to deliver. I connected my middle finger to my thumb and snapped my fingers. Turning every single man, woman and child into a mist of blood (Chapter 1) Prelude to Chaos in the Worlds of Magic Staring at the bloodied air Ian sighed. He did not have a choice in the matter of killing those peasants, as a matter of fact it was rather inconvenient as he lost a chance to collect information on this world. But there was one issue Ian had to avoid at all cost. And that was making the gods of this reality aware of his presence. Of course, these gods could do absolutely nothing to Ian himself. But as dogs they were, would try interfere with his "projects" to help cure his boredom to no means of an end. Of course, Ian could have changed the peasant''s memories or just let them be, but this would alarm the gods. As a god himself Ian knew what they were and were not sensitive to, death of insignificant beings was not one of them. But souls and prayers were another matter, adjusting the memories, behavior, or characteristics of souls suddenly would leave what you could say a scratch. Gods were sensitive to these scratches at they would make the souls behave oddly their respective circles of reincarnation. And praying to a god over an angel "descending" into their town is basically like setting off a nuke with the words "Invading god here" in the mushroom cloud As such Ian did the only thing he could do, slaughter the poor bastards and change his appearance as soon as possible. Such was the dilemma Ian was enduring, not the insignificant act killing of peasants but the more crucial "appearance". Ian thought for the next 5 minutes on this matter until the first idea that seemed fun popped into his churning mind. An old man, not any old man but the kind that would send heroes off on quests and give legendary items to said heroes. This was not implying Ian was going to be making any "heroes" of course _____________________________________________________________________________________ On a dusty road mid-day appeared a wise looking old man, this man seemed to be seeking something but his gaze was off putting. It was like he was seeking prey This old man was indeed Ian who after days of walking was beginning to feel boredom creep up on him, as such he was desperate to start a "project". This place had the usual magic world clich¨¦ of human''s vs demons and so forth, but Ian decided to add a twist to make the humans lives a little darker and the demons friendlier. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. In Ian''s hands lied a sword, a gorgeous silver blade with red veins flowing throughout. This blade was obviously very powerful but with one little flaw. It needed blood, not of its enemies but of the same race as the user, which needed to be freshly killed by the user to count. The closer the sacrifice is emotionally to the user the greater the power imparted. Soon Ian reached a city which by some coincidence was the capital of this country, although in this Ian''s mind there was no such thing as coincidence in these matters. He already knew the landscape of this world when he first entered, it was only the states of politics, war, and phycology of this world he lied ignorant to. As the gates of the city grew closer and soon passed over head Ian watched as others were stopped and forced to give a fee before entering. As for Ian the weak guards did not even register his existence as he passed under their noses Ian''s target in this city was not the adventures guild, nor an inn unlike those "summoned" heroes that seem so popular in these worlds. What he was watching with his predatorial gaze was the path to the imperial castle. Which he treaded upon with no hesitation, rather he walked at a rushed pace wanting to get to the throne room as soon as possible. Passing all the guards and doors with ease, the god known as Ian approached the throne which upon it sat an unusually young man. Slowing his pace Ian stopped before the imposing throne and allowed himself to be seen by young king. The king''s reaction was to be expected, he immediately called for the guards and pulled his sword at Ian. The king shouted "State your name old man!" His voice cracking mid shout which practically screamed he was still in puberty Ian stifling a laugh said in a luxurious manner while surrounded by the guard''s spears: "My dear king, I a humble old man discovered an artifact that could benefit humanity in its war against the wretched demons" The young king''s eyes flashed with greed: "An artifact? Show me this artifact and I will believe you" Ian then kneeled and pulled the silver red veined blade from his robes, mannerly presenting it to the young king. "He will take the blade regardless of its requirements" thought Ian as he saw the king''s expression that held all too much greed The king descended from the throne and rudely took the blade from the Ian''s hand "How does it work" the king immediately demanded Ian smiled an odd smile as he kindly explained the blades function and requirement, his smile getting odder as he continued. Smiling lightly the King said "So that¡¯s how it works huh" and proceeded to stab Ian through the head "Thank you for helping humanity" The king said smilingly "But I''m afraid if you leave you will tell the demon king''s army, as such I will allow you to die a quick death" As the sword was pulled out of Ian''s head which still held that odd smile, "This marks the beginning of my first project"This thought appeared in Ian''s head. (Chapter 2) The New Holy Tool of Humanity Theyoungking sat happily on his throne stroking a silver blade with repeating movements. "It''s about time I granted this beautiful tool a hero"thoughtthe king Calling over the nearestguard the kingcommandedthe famoushero summoningceremonybeprepared. The king was namedJohnathanKin, also known as King Kin. Which in all due honesty hasanoddly appealing ring to it when said aloud King Kinimpatientlytapped the throne waiting for his new heroes to arrive at his feet."What''s taking so god damn long, if this takes any longer I will have the summoners flogged for their lack of ability"he thought angrily. King Kin was clearly aware of the time It took to complete the ceremony, he was justaprick Soon a group of three appeared before his feet, lookingup at King Kin in awe and fear which the king enjoyedimmensely. "Stateyournames" Kin said coldly "James" "Kaitlyn"Catharine" Said the nervous trio "What the fuck!? Since when did herosummoning''starget anything but"Japan" or whateverit''scalled! Not that I''m against it, butit''sstillodd..."The king thoughtquietly "And your family names?" Kin continued "Smith" Said the Trio in unison "Aaandit''s a fucking family, whatelse did I need!?"Kin thoughtcrudely "I have a task for you three, I need heroes to help preservehumanity''ssafety. As humans yourselves you can understand how much we care about the lives of our people. Because of this war we need heroes for our moral, you three are thosehero''s" The King said with pained sadness "This is the best speech I have I swear to god if Iloseanother set of heroes..." Kin stopped that thought to prevent himself from jinxing it The trio look at each other with doubt, but the eldest brother namedJames finally spoke up "Uh King we would like to help humanity but we are just normal teenagers" "Do not fret, the summoning ritual helped boost yourconstitutionsand mana affinities. You three are more than capable of being heroes for this beautifulcountryof ours." Kinhurriedlysaid "James was it? I will award you withhumanity''sholy treasure once you have completed your training, since you were the first to speak up. Now go and train, make friends with the solders. Come see me after your training is done" Kin continued "Ok!" The trio saidexcitedly "Got them"Kin thought as he smiled cruelly in his mind _____________________________________________________________________________________ The transactions between these four was clearly seen by an outsider. This outsider was obviously Ian, who was currently watching with a light interest over theirobliviousheads. Ian did not need a mortal form to survive,in facthe could create one whenever he pleased. But staying inanenergy form was creating aloose energyfluctuationthatmight soon alert the local gods by chanceStolen story; please report. So,Ianfloatedout of the castle to seeka mortal bodytopossesssince making one would create a scene. "What to choose" hepondered as he wandered the town looking for something to possess. "I want to be near the castle and partake in battlesto watch the heroes developso a guard or soldier would be the best choice"Ian thought.Returningto the castleIan floated to the training yard, as the court yard came intoviewIan witnessed aparticularlyodd scenebelow him "They are in love with their brother"He thought with adisgustedgaze. The siblings were of course notactuallydoing anything immoral. Just staring a little TOO lovingly at theobliviousbrother. "Poor bastard, he has a lot coming for him"Ianthought with forced pity, in reality he was excited to see the changes that will occur because of this "relationship" between the siblings. Now he wasn¡¯t talking about being into incest, but theconsequencesof their excessive love for their brother "Ah, I should find a body now. I spent to long thinking on the future"He thought looking around the yard he found his target. A young soldier in the corner of the yard picking up wood blocks for the heroes to train on. "Well I guess I''m going with this guy"Ian thought as he approached the soldier. Over the period of a few weeks, Ian was slowly working the soul of the soldier out ofthebodyand taking saidbodyas his own. He did this graduallyas to allow more comfort when he made the body his own. After a few more days ofpossessingIan finally took complete control of the body. Opening his eyes Ian looked at hisenvironmentwith his new mortal form. "Mold, stone, wood,cockroach..."Ian listed off what he saw in the cold damp bedroom. "Wow I never thought they could allow such adecrepitroom in theimperialcastle"he thought with mildamusement *BANG* a sudden angry knock torments the poor damp door "OiJackson, get the fuck out and help with the heroes training!" A voice called out the door Ian wasstartledat both the shouting and being startled itself. He then and realized something that bothered him more than slightly "God damn it this body seals my divine sense, this is going to make getting around more than annoying now"Ian thought gloomily Opening thedoor,a scruffy buffedmiddle-agedman loomed over the doorway looking down at Ian. "Jacksonget the field" That was the last thing he said before wandering off to who knows where Following the map in his mind Ian approached the field, listening to the awkward battle cries that made him cringe. As he walked through theentranceto the field hewitnessesJamesthe eldestswingingaone-handedsword at a chunk of wood in amediocremanner "I probably should talkJamesand see how his personality is"Ian thought as heapproachedthe armed teenager "Oi do you need a new training dummy" Ian asked bluntly "No thank you, this one still has a few hits left"Jamesreplied in asurprisinglypolitemanner "He hasanamiablepersonality, respectableat least"Ian deduced Moving his sight to the sisters, he greeted thempolitelywhile they werepracticingmagic "Hello do you need a newtrai..." Ian started "Screw off" They said in unison Ian blanked and then thought suddenly "The hell is with this kind brother, cold sisterclich¨¦?" "Ok, I will leave the two heroes to their training" Ian bowed and walked away After about 30 minutes of training a guard entered the training yard andannouncedloudly "Could the heroes andsoldiersplease enter the throne room for thehero''sofficialceremony!" He announced inanobviously prideful manner Within10 minutes the throne room was filled with people as guards, soldiers, and nobles surrounded the grand throne and heroes. As theceremonycontinued King Kinwithdrewthe sliver blade from its newsheathe and asked the hero Jamesto draw blood and place it upon the blade. Ian smiled happily when he witnessed this scene, for he knew the blades true origin. It was a sin blade he found inanevil sect back in his ownreality. Without martial power the blade cannot use even a fraction ofits potential but with just the evil energy within, it is stillanartifactof great powerin thisworld. "I am excited to see his destiny with this blade, and his mental changes in the future"Ian thought with a cruel glee. (Chapter 3) The Sin Blades Whispers and The New Conspiracy When the blood dripped onto the sin blade it began to glow in a bloody light, engulfing its new owner in its evil splendor. After about a minute the light began to recede back into the blade, marking the end of the hero''s legendary ceremony and beginning a new era of hope for humanity "I am going to enjoy watching the fall of this poor bastard, this sin blade will slowly refine the user and slowly turn their own will against themselves, I have to give credit to the madman who made this as it¡¯s quite the fun toy" Ian thought with a growing sense of joy Soon the banquet for VIPs was concluded and everyone went to bed, except Ian that is. Nighttime in his mind was boring as his project was sleeping and there was nothing really to observe in the castle. Wrapped in a black cloak Ian ventured the streets of the capital after sneaking looking for something to do. "I need something to do, should I find a night lover? Or do something a bit more involving?" He thought impatiently As he walked the streets he stopped upon a red door, as for those unaware this signified a brothel. Ian watched this brothel with an odd thought in his head. "If I diseased the brothel It might cause prostitution to become taboo to prevent disease spreading. But this would take too long" he thought What Ian was looking for was instant gratification, he did not want to wait. Finally, he found something to do? "I''m sealing both the prostitutes and patrons inside and setting it aflame" he thought bluntly And he did just that, using the dao of wood he reinforced the building and sealed all openings with a hidden formation that would dissipate when the building collapsed. Approaching the building with a flame on his finger he set the building alight Listening to the screams of pain and fear which gave a slight amusement Ian realized something "Wow, I was expecting something a bit more interesting than this from myself" Disappointed in the gain his endeavor for instant gratification produced he left the burning building behind in the night. Was Ian going crazy or evil? No, he was just really fucking bored. ___________________________________________________________________________________ The next day the city was in an outburst for obvious reasons. The biggest brothel in the city was burnt to the ground overnight and all of its workers with it. Many men in the castle and on the streets, were talking with many unshed tears and regrets in their eyes. Some men were shamelessly crying over the matter, receiving more than a few strange looks. You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. And where was the perpetrator of this heaven to hell situation for many men? He was standing in a group of these regretful men listening to their sexual fantasies and regrets with a stiff smile on his face. "I lost the chance to lose my virginity to a beautiful girl, I had just saved up enough" One man said "If you were any good at romance you wouldn¡¯t need money" another said causing the group to chuckle hollowly "Hey Jackson you had a chance to go at the best brothel in town before it, well burned?" One of the group asked Ian Ian''s expression remained stiff as he slowly faced the man in question "No, I don''t have the money or looks to go to such an expensive place" "Yea, that is probably one of the few things we can agree with you on" The group mumbled Sighing the group broke up and returned to their posts. __________________________________________________________________________________ Back in the training yard the heroes, knights, and soldiers of the country trained vigorously. James on the other hand was staring at the sword in his hands with complicated gaze. His mind was cluttered with ominous whispers than ceased to leave. "Allies are meaningless, they are only things to be killed" "Trust no one, you are alone" "You are the one true human the rest are a disease, purge them." These whispers seem fill his subconscious mind endlessly, But James using his willpower suppressed the whispers and returned to his training. After all, it¡¯s a holy tool how could the blade be evil? ___________________________________________________________________________________ As Ian was returning to the training yard he noticed an aura shrouding James. "Is that an aura of good luck and destiny?" Ian was surprised at the golden aura surrounding James suddenly "This is not what I wanted, a good clich¨¦ ending is boring" Ian thought with annoyance. His project was going off on a tangent and not following his will. Approaching James Ian grasped at the golden aura surrounding James and tore it apart. Leaving a bloody red aura in its place "This is what it should be, a weak wielder of a sin blade needs a destiny of bloodshed and sorrow" Ian thought with satisfaction before returning to his post. As Ian returned to his post James shuddered, as if a breath of death passed his body. Continuing down the hallway Ian lightly skipped due to a sudden urge. He was quite happy as his project was back on track and should mature sometime in the future. As Ian continued to be enthralled by his thoughts of the future his footsteps stopped due to a hearing an odd conversation through a door Pressing his ear lightly to the wall Ian focused his attention inside. "Kin is unworthy your highness, you should be the one to sit upon that throne" a hushed voice spoke "Not now" a light female voice replied "Plans for the future are already being made, we just need to set them in motion" Removing his ear from the wall, Ian proceeded with his skipping down the hallway "This world is more intriguing than I thought" He thought to himself happily ___________________________________________________________________________________ Ian could not sleep, well not that he needed too rather he was too excited. He was debating on who to support in the battle for the throne. "The king or the princess, damn this a real decision here" He thought giddily. Of course, his excitement did not last as the decision could not be made now and he soon began to grow bored. "I guess I should head to the streets to find something fun again" Ian thought (Chapter 4) This Damnable City is Too Sensitive Ian once again, was walking amongst the rooftops at night looking for a new activity "I should do something good for once" Ian decided looking along the street for someone that needed a helping hand. With Ian''s obviously kind intentions he instantly spotted one in need. A little girl was crying while begging the pedestrians for medicine for her sick mother. Ian feeling her honesty decided to help the poor creature. "Hey kid you said your mothers sick?" Ian asked in a disguised voice with a kind tone The girl feeling his kind intentions answered in-between sobs ''y-yes she''s very sick" "I can help your mother here" Ian began as he pulled a pill from his inner reality. Yes, due to his cultivation methods Ian himself has an entire reality in his soul. So, he has a LOT of shit inside. Ian procced to put a hidden formation on the pill so when the effects begin to kick in the words "I hope your mother is feeling better" will appear above her body. In the girls eyes it look like Ian had made a pill appear out of nowhere and was starting at the pill intently before shifting his gaze to her. "Here you go, just let your mom swallow this and she will feel a lot better very quickly" Ian said happily while handing the girl the pill. Before turning and disappearing down the street. _____________________________________________________________________________________ The little girl was extremely excited and rushed home faster than she had in her entire life. Clutching the pill to her breast for dear life. After 3 minutes of running she threw open the door to the house and collapsed breathlessly to her mother''s side "M-m-mom I fhsound medishene" The girl was so exhausted and excited her sentences were slurred The sickly pale mother turned to her daughter and said with a pure smile "Sweetie that''s great! Where did you find it?" "A kind man gave it to me, he was definitely nice so this medicine is safe" The little girl said as she forced the pill to her mother''s face The mother smiled and swallowed the pill, a glowing white light began to radiate from the mother. As the white light intensified the mother excitedly shouted "S-sweetie! The medicine works. I''m feeling bett.." *BANG* The white light that painted the room was soon replaced with red. The girl kneeling before the bed in shock stared at the exploded remains of her mother on the bed of what remained painted around the room. Suddenly a white light flashed and the words "I hope your mother is feeling better" appeared above her dearest mothers remains. The little girl did the only thing she could do at that moment. Scream _____________________________________________________________________________________This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it Ian was still walking when he stopped in his tracks. "Did I give the girl the 1st grade universal healing pill or the 1st grade corpse explosion pill. The both of them look really similar..." His thoughts were cut off by the loud bang in the distance. "Why can''t I seem to do anything nice now" Ian thought in a depressed tone as he returned to the castle _____________________________________________________________________________________ The next day a new fuss was raised in the city. A poor woman''s body exploding in front of her daughter''s face Once again, the group of men gather with Ian standing there with his ever-stiff awkward smile "I''m honestly appalled, who could do that to a child and mother!" One man exclaimed "Yea I know, I still haven''t gotten over the brothel burning down and now this!" Another exclaimed "Ok it was ONE person, it''s not like I killed the entire damn royal family. This damnable city is too sensitive" Ian thought in annoyance "Oh, by the way I heard that the girl screamed something about finding the man who did this and exacting revenge" One of the men suddenly brought up "I heard about that too. What was the girls name again? Spring baker I think it was" another man added "Do you guys think there is a psychopath in town?" A man said quietly and suddenly The entire group quieted down at the end of this sentence "I mean the brothel burning and this murder happened a bit TOO close together, I''m just hoping it''s not the same man" "Well we will see, I''m heading back to my post" Ian said before turning and walking off. Soon after the rest of the men scattered back to their posts _____________________________________________________________________________________ "Waiting is a pain" Ian groaned in his mind as he did his guard duty, marching along the halls of the castle "To be honest the roles of knights, soldiers, and guards seem to be a bit mixed up. Guards are just soldiers on guard duty. It''s quite odd, usually they are separate jobs" Ian thought curiously "Well not that it matters anyway, I will just finish up my guard duty" Ian thought lazy Ian then once again heard voices coming from the wall. And as the curious creature he is, pressed his ear against the wall and focused his attention inside. "Your highness you must initiate the plan soon, if we wait too long Kin''s position on the throne will become absolute!" The hushed voiced whispered "Patience everything is almost ready just wait!" The light female voice hissed "Wow my guard duty seems to perfectly align with the conspiracy meet ups. Wait, do they actually have a SCHEDULE like...plot against the king meet up Friday at 7." Ian thought as he removed his ear from the wall. Suppressing an urge to laugh "I thought these kinds of meetings are supposed to be short and occur unpredictably, I''m beginning to doubt the wisdom of the princess" Ian thought "I should lend them a hand; poor sods might get executed before they even start if this keeps up" Ian thought with pity as he pulled a sheet of paper from his soul. Using the local mana, he burned these words lightly onto the paper "You know you really should make these meetings more secretive, I know planning is good and all but making a schedule for daily or bi weekly meet ups will just get all of you killed ¨C Love the man hiding in the closet on the east wall" Reading over the note again, Ian smiled. Placing a hidden formation on the note he teleported it into the room, placing it on the closet he "supposedly" hid in. The formation would allow the note to appear once the next meeting occurs in that room. "This should help them out, after all I don''t want to know everything. That¡¯s boring" Ian thought happily as he continued down the hallway to finish his duty for the day. (Chapter 5) A Game of Man Hunt Might be Fun "I''m an idiot" Ian thought gloomily as he lied on the old bed "When the pill killed her mother, I should have known she would seek revenge, If I left some clues as to my identity she would start hunting me!" Ian thought back as he rolled frustrated around the bed "Now I need to go look for her and plant some clues for her, ahhhh so annoying. I wanted to check up on the sin blade wielder today" Ian continued ranting in his mind Today was Ian''s day off as a guard, so as per usual there is NOTHING to do. What Ian originally intended to do was watch the sin blade wielders development and see if any adjustments were needed. But then the conversation from yesterday about that Spring Backer girl seeking revenge popped back into his head. "I cannot let this chance to have something so actively entertaining go to waste!" Ian stood up and gathered his bearings as he stormed out the door As Ian walked through the castle he passed the training yard entrance, staring regretfully before turning his head and continuing towards the exit. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Yawning Ian walked along the streets looking for a sketchy alley to disguise himself in. Of course, in the capital said alleyways are practically everywhere, so the search did not last long. Disguising himself as a young man similar but slightly different to his possessed body, Ian walked to the place of the mother''s death. How did he find out where the girls house was? Rumors of course! This damn city would talk about anything or anyone as if it was the only thing that mattered in their lives. Approaching the gloomy hut only two guards were posted at the door, practically sleeping while standing. Concealing his existence Ian walked passed the guards and into the hut, lightly closing the door under their noses. "Wow, I guess the 1st grade corpse explosion pill is a bit overkill on mortal bodies" Ian thought being quite shocked at the scene. "I guess I should plant some clues or... What''s this? Ian stared in shock at the blue light floating above the bed "Her mother''s soul? It should have dispersed by now how did it. The formation! it actually clung onto the energy of the formation!" Ian excited that he could fix his mistake grabbed the soul and placed within a soul bottle.Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon. "Now then, I should collect these remains as well. It¡¯s the best material to help rebuild her mother''s body" Ian snapped his fingers, causing all of the blood, bone, and brain matter around the room to gather into the form of a single bottle stopper Placing this stopper onto the soul bottle sealing the soul within Ian thought about how to continue from this point on. "I should leave a note saying someone stole her mother''s remains and that I have a clue, I think I will be presenting her a healthy and happy mother if she manages to find me is a good reward" Ian reveled in this thought with great satisfaction Placing a piece of thin paper onto the wall over the bed Ian once again using the surrounding mana burned the words "Dear Spring Baker, I have just witnessed someone using some odd magic steal the corpse of your mother. I saw the man running towards the imperial castle. He could be a servant, guard or a guest, as to which I do not know. I only wish for you to find the man who did this to you." - Anonymous Placing another formation so the note is only visible to Spring, Ian turned to face the door "Now it is time to make a scene" Ian thought. Revealing his existence Ian bolted for the door and smashed through. Creating an explosive sound that easily woke up the guards. "You! stop right there!" The guard shouted his scripted line Ignoring the guard Ian outran the guards and went off into the castles general direction before turning into an alleyway and removing his disguise. Watching the guards run by, Ian casually walked back to the castle. Where he would spend the remainder of his day _____________________________________________________________________________________ Ian woke up the next day already knowing what was going to happen. He could feel it in his fucking bones. And that was... Standing once again amongst the group of guards with the now permanent stiff smile he has when around these "peers". Listening to the daily gossip once again, obviously about the recent corpse theft "Why do they keep dragging me into this group, we aren''t even friends!" Ian thought with dismay "So, what''s the motive with this one" one guard began "Can''t be necrophilia the corpse was blown up, nothing left to fuck" one guard said out of nowhere "The fuck? No! Why did you even mention that!? Can we at least go over the NORMAL theories before going there!" The captain blurted The guards turned to the captain beginning to stare in horror as the captain was definitely NOT in the group earlier, and usually would yell at them for having their "gossip groups". The captain, seeing their horror at his presence coughed lightly before adding "Well, anyone got any decent theories?" The captain asked the guards The guards began to with the permission of their captain spout many odd, normal, or like the one earlier just plain stupid. After about 10 minutes of these endless stream of theories the captain suddenly said "By the way I''m still cutting your salaries this week" He stated casually before walking off Groaning in displeasure the group separated _____________________________________________________________________________________ Walking down his usual guard route Ian noticed people walking into the "conspiracy" room before closing the door. "I guess I''m a little early" Ian thought casually as he passed the door Suddenly he heard a cup shatter and a rumble of footsteps as people poured out of the room. All of their faces painted in sweat and anxiousness. "Well at least they saw my advice, let''s hope they take it" Ian thought as he continued down the hall (Chapter 6) The Sin Blade Corrodes The Mind "Fuck Ya! It¡¯s a work day! I can check up on James to see how the sin blade is affecting him" Ian got up excitedly before rushing out the door to the training grounds. Usually a guard''s work day usually would consist of training and guard duty, the order varied from person to person. However, the king in all due honesty is not very organized, training days, days off, and guard duty were all one jumbled mess sometimes separated or mashed together. Creating one hell of an odd work week. It seems to Ian the current king and princess both have their own problems in the terms of planning. For the better or worse he does not know Entering the training yard Ian, immediately wanted to leave. Those damnable sisters were feeling up the poor bastard after discovering he no longer resisted their advances. "No just no, the sin blade was supposed to socially ISOLATE him and make him distrust and hate everyone. The hell is this shit going on?" Ian watched in horror as he saw this live action writhing mess called incest "Is the blade changing his mindset slower than I thought? It must have reached an unusual stage where social norms no longer matter to him. Hmm, I guess he will reach the isolation stage in the future" Ian thought gloomily Approaching the group of "lovebirds" Ian smiled with the most sociable smile he could ever muster. "Good morning everyone!" Ian shouted happily to the group Stopping their caressing of their brother, the sister''s heads turned to Ian. A bloodthirsty light shining out of their eyes. Ignoring the bloodlust Ian continued his jolly pace towards the siblings "Are you guys enjoying the morning? If you need new training dummies just let me know!" Ian shouted with happy tone "Would you be our training dummies then?" The sisters replied coldly Ian''s face twitched hearing this reply, his smile almost faltering "Haha! Your comedy is priceless madams! Me? Your training dummy? How could I be worthy of such a job!" "No, we think your quite worthy of said occupation" The sisters replied a little TOO quickly Blanking Ian stared at the two women "Did they NOT get the fucking memo" "We need a moving target" Said Kaitlyn the youngest sisterFind this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. "After all no real enemy stands still" Said Catharine continuing off her sister''s sentence "I feel verbally ganged up on, and I''m not enjoying the feeling" Ian thought "W-well how about I find you sturdier personnel who can at least survive your assault?" Ian sending hints to the brother to chip in. However, Ian than remembered, the bastard is now socially numb how would he even know when to help. "Fuck I dug this hole, I should have known the sisters would be like this" Ian thought with regret Why was Ian so regretful? This body he possessed is what Spring Baker is hunting. And the most inconspicuous character in the castle. If he lost this body he would have to possess someone of higher standing or popularity in the castle. Which would make more than a few issues for Ian "I will go and find somebody for you to train with" as Ian said he was already creeping towards the exit "We have already decided on you being our training partner" Kaitlyn said Casting barrier magic on the exit, this horrible duo sealed Ian within the training yard. Now trapped Ian was frantically looking around the yard looking for some way out. "Let''s begin" Catharine said with a sadistic glee Both Kaitlyn and Catharine began to cast their respective spells onto Ian''s body "No,no,no,no. Everything is going wrong! How was I supposed to know the sisters were batshit crazy?" Ian thought frantically while dodging icicles, fireballs, earths spikes, and wind blades "Stand still" Kaitlyn shouted with annoyance Reaching his limit Ian began calm mind began to snap. He began to process how to torture these women to their deaths. He was extremely angry; these insignificant figures were interfering with his projects. Ian was not being arrogant, rather he was angry because they were insignificant in the development of this world as a whole. In the war between the demons and humans they would hardly make a difference, only the brother really mattered But Ian could not kill them now. The only meaning in their existence was to keep the brother vulnerable so the sin blade could corrupt him at a faster pace. Thinking this Ian took advantage of some well-placed earth spikes to act as a jumping point. Allowing Ian to jump over the wall of the training yard, escaping the duos sadistic game Falling Ian prepared for his legs to be broken. The wall had a ditch behind it, making the fall significantly longer. Knowing this Ian could only clench his teeth and wait for the inevitable impact. *CRACK* the sound and feeling of his legs being crushed and muscles being torn were sent to his brain. This pain was surprisingly little for Ian, as a martial cultivator this kind of pain was insignificant. Ian being too into the heat of the moment had forgotten his standing as a martial god. "This is awkward" He muttered to no one in particular Crawling out of the ditch Ian dragged his crippled body to the nearest tree, leaning against it. "Ok time for those shitty healing formations that I learned in the past to come in handy" Ian thought Taking a 1st grade universal healing pill and creating a lower grade healing formation, his legs slowly began to heal. And yes, he was very cautious when selecting this pill, he had fucked up once. He did not want to do it again. Ian had to use lower quality healing items because the higher the tier, the more disturbance it created Sitting there Ian thought about what to do for the future. He could go back to the castle, but he had to avoid the hero''s sisters at all costs. He could not risk that bombardment again "Fuck, I may need to kill those two" He thought (Chapter 7) The Little Girl Gets a Job It was soon late afternoon; Ian''s legs have finally recovered. Standing up he walked back to the city entrance before cautiously returning to the imperial castle. Ian did not have to worry about missing work. The king was THAT unorganized when it came to the work within the castle, it was no wonder the princess wanted to take the throne. Not that she was any smarter of course Crawling back into his room, he slumped onto the bed. Sighing he started to make plans to avoid the two little shits called the hero''s sisters. "A formation would be the simplest and most practical solution, problem is I have to set another formation over their eyes so I can become invisible to them. Also, if someone is seen talking to me said person will seem crazy in their eyes. I will have to adopt a highly unsociable persona and avoid conversation." Ian thought Waiting until nighttime Ian prepared to sneak into the two women''s rooms to place the formations. Concealing his existence Ian walked towards the hero''s chambers, soon he approached Kaitlyn''s door. Slowly opening the door, he glanced inside to see, nothing. The room was devoid of people. Rushing to Catharine''s door he slowly opened it to peer inside to see the same scene. Cringing, he knew only one other place they could be at this time of night, James''s room. After approaching James''s door Ian heard moaning inside Blanking he was completely at a loss "Ok, I was not planning on helping their incestuous relationship bloom. The blade is going too easy on this bastard" Ian thought angrily Still, Ian could not abandon his mission just yet. Clenching his teeth, he edged into the room, trying to approach the bed without looking. Soon however he had to look, as he could not place the formation otherwise. The pain he endured to see this scene was 100 times worse than him breaking his legs, actually he would rather break his legs than be in this room. It would be a decent excuse to avoid completing this objective Looking at the bed he was obviously disturbed. A fuck ton of sweat, skin, sheets and blood is all he saw "Hold the fuck up those two were virgins!? Shit seeing their personality''s I thought they would be more promiscuous" Ian thought "Wait, wait, WAIT is... is that a rubber duck?" Seeing the rubber duck being used in their "fun" Ian quickly raised his hands and backed away After seeing so much he had already finished the formation. Thankfully he did not need direct contact, or else he would achieve a whole new level of fun which he felt HIGHLY unnessesary. Ian turning to leave the room, saw the sin blade sitting on a table in the corner of the room.If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. Stopping his endeavor to the exit, he walked toward it he pressing his finger onto the blade, placing an amplification formation. This was to allow the blade to corrupt James faster. After all Ian did not plan on this "lovely" family relationship to last long. Laughing silently Ian left the lovebirds to their own devices and inevitable demise _____________________________________________________________________________________ The next day Ian woke up and looked at his schedule, guard duty as usual what a shocker. Wearing his guard uniform Ian walked down his guard path as per usual. That is, until he witnessed something delightfully unusual. Spring Baker, the little girl whose mother he blasted to cloud 9 was working as a maid in the castle. When Ian mentioned her as "a little girl" she was actually around 14 ¨C 16 years old. Clearly old enough to work as a maid. The only reason why Ian noticed Spring was because of one thing. She was staring quite intently at him, to a degree that was obviously beyond normal "staring". Stopping he turned to look back at her. "You have a problem?" He asked with his new "antisocial" persona "N-no it''s just you look similar to someone I''m looking for" she replied hurriedly "And am I the person you''re looking for?" "M-maybe" Ian silently stared at her "Answer the question am I, Jackson the person you''re looking for. Otherwise you are wasting my time" "Jackson" She muttered under her breath "Come again?" "Ah! No, you''re not who I''m looking for, sorry for wasting your time" After finishing this she ran off down the hall "She''s quite intuitive for a kid" Ian thought before continuing down his assigned guard route _____________________________________________________________________________________ Spring continued to run down hall to the kitchen to help with the cooking. After reaching the kitchen she helped peel potatoes, apples and what not. However, her mind was in another place "Could it be him, his stature and face are similar to what the guards outside my house described" Spring thought She was both excited and scared, if she had found her mother''s murder what would she do? But if she accused the man named Jackson of murder and he was innocent, she could potentially ruin his life. After all who wants an accused murder to work in the imperial castle Stuck between her moral compass, Poor Spring Baker was at a loss Ignorant to Spring Bakers dilemma, her mother''s murderer continued down the halls of the castle with boredom. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Ian was really getting tired of being Jackson, however until Spring Baker accuses someone of murder he must wait. After all, why waste an opportunity for fun? Patience is a virtue after all. Over the next few days, James behavior became colder and colder. Both his sisters were now looking at him worriedly. Obviously, his attitude towards them had changed dramatically, the sisters were both worrying if they had done something wrong Looking in the training yard Ian witnessed James''s attitude towards his sisters "Yea, pissing me off is what you did wrong you little shits" Ian thought happily seeing the two girls despair Walking down his guard route Ian heard some interesting news King Kin had sent a declaration of war to the demons, in actuality he never sent the declaration, but it was a publicity thing. War between the humans and demons was about to begin (Chapter 8) Politics Is Like Chess? Right? War had started in this world of magic, and where was Ian? Sitting on his bed playing with his thumbs. He had wanted Spring Baker to find him before the war had started. But fate seemed to decide to fuck up his day. The girl was not a resourceful and decisive as Ian had thought, as such Ian was debating just flat out telling the girl, and reviving her mother. After all, if something takes way longer than planned it gets... boring. Ian now impatient decided to end it once and for all. Walking to the kitchens, Ian pulled out the jade bottle containing Spring''s mother and pushed the doors open. With the sudden entry the chefs and maids were quite startled, ignoring them Ian scanned the room. After locking onto Spring, Ian grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the kitchen. "Hey let go of me!" Spring began to shout hysterically at this sudden open kidnapping Covering her mouth Ian whispered into her ear "I have captured your mother''s murderer, just shut up and follow me" Hearing such sudden but delightful news Spring stopped resisting and followed Ian out of the castle and city. After a 10 minute walk the duo entered into the nearby woods, stopping Ian turned to face Spring "I killed your mother" He said indifferently Immediately Spring''s face turned pale. Why did she follow a stranger into the woods? Because she''s na?ve as hell. And that naivety brought her demise. Spring making the move to turn and run suddenly froze, the air around her had been solidified by Ian "I''m not planning to kill you, actually I did not kill your mother" Ian said while tossing the jade bottle into a tree, shattering it into dust Suddenly the blue light and red bottle stopper merged together growing larger by the second. It soon turned into a human sized egg, which then began to crack. As the egg shattered it revealed Spring''s mother sleeping but healthy Spring''s eyes immediately lit up as she ran towards her mother. "Thank you, Jackson! She looks so much healthier! I thought you killed her!" "I did not kill her. It was an illusion" Ian said not wanting to tell the girl her mother was, in a sense resurrected Pulling out a pill Ian than smiled "However this isn''t an illusion!" Ian swallowed the pill and his possessed body explodedThe narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. Spring, the poor girl witnessed the same scene twice. And her reaction was all the same, she did the only thing she could. Scream _____________________________________________________________________________________ Now finally relieved of that damnable body, Ian could spread out his divine sense once more. Now the next stage of Ian''s plan was to slowly reform his true body. This process would take about a week if he was to avoid the notice of the gods. Ian of course could not focus on anything but the recreation of his body during this time. After a week Ian rose into the air once more. "FINALLY! That damn mortal body was so stuffy" delighted that he was free and had regained his true form, Ian concealed his existence and entered the imperial castle in a flash. Sneaking into the throne room Ian discovered an odd war council was occurring. "It''s time to slaughter the demon race, the hero is trained enough. The old man was right, the blade would turn its wielder into a slaughtering machine" King Kin said due to being quite satiated with the blades performance However, when Ian gave the blade to the king he described that the blade was for slaughter. But he failed to mention the one important detail. It was for slaughtering one''s own race, and once in battle his one true target would be his allies. "Are the soldiers and knights ready to be deployed to the northern plains?" King Kin asked "Yes, your highness, they can leave at moment''s notice" one of the generals replied "Good, send them to the plains and begin construction on a fort. We will need it as a foothold" "As you wish your highness" The general bowed before leaving to give his orders Surprisingly King Kin was actually good at the game of war, horrible at managing a country and castle but good at war. In all due honesty he was better off being a general than a King, it would fit his talents better ____________________________________________________________________________________ After a short while the meeting ended, the only reminders of the conversation where over weapon acquisition, and training regimes for the soldiers. "Ah, I need something to do" Ian was isolated a week to rebuild his body, and now his boredom has encroached upon him once again. Ian spread his divine sense throughout the castle to get a sense of its happenings. There he noticed something, it was a woman sitting alone on a balcony being served some type of tea. Listening in Ian realized this was her highness, the princess of the kingdom. The princess had an amazing appearance, not in the sense of outstanding beauty. But rather shockingly ordinary, to the point where if you removed her fancy-ish clothes and but her in a peasant setting. You would never realize she was royalty, hell she even lacked the presence of royalty "Let''s have a small chat, I want to see her reaction" Ian began to approach the woman at the table. Without her knowledge he pulled out a chair and sat down, before revealing his existence. Looking up at him the princess had little reaction, it was like she was expecting him all along "Ok this is weird as fuck" He thought "Hello" Ian began "I would like to have a small chat if you wouldn¡¯t mind, there are quite a few matters I feel the need to talk to you about. Moreover, you mind find them more than significant to you, and the country you could rule" Ian smiled (Chapter 9) A God Said I Should Rule, So Why Shouldn鈥檛 I? (Chapter 9) A God Said I Should Rule, So Why Shouldn¡¯t I? The princess continued to stare at Ian, quite blankly as a matter of fact. "H-hello" Ian waved his hand in front of her face "Anybody home? Uh" Ian realized the princess actually zoned out No, she was not composed and unfazed at Ian''s arrival. Rather she had zoned out and had not noticed his presence, even while staring at him. "It takes a certain type of person to zone out to this degree" Ian thought Snapping his fingers in her ear the princess finally returned to reality. "W-who are you!?" She stood up began to shout "Hello, there is something I would like to talk to you about" Ian said while gesturing to the seat "GUARDS" she began to bellow "Don''t bother, I sealed the area. Now please sit" Ian said indifferently The princess feeling the pressure Ian was emitting finally sat down. It was then she realized the man sitting in front of her was handsome to a godly level. She zoned out once again staring at his face "Hello? Hello? Ah, again?" Ian sighed deeply at the princesses seemingly short attention span "Uh... Y-yes what is it?" The princess began to stutter while looking at Ian "I have a question for you, and depending on your answer I will decided whether to help you or not" Ian stated "O-ok what is your question?" She asked excitedly "Do you want to rule this kingdom, do you feel King Kin is an incompetent fool who only knows how to run an army, not a kingdom?" Ian asked, watching her facial expression closely Suddenly the princess''s expression went dark as her eyes darted around the room "Do you think so as well?" She asked grimly "Yes, I do believe he incapable of fulfilling his role as king" Ian said with a light smile "Ah, that idiotic brother of mine really knows nothing even beings like you are beginning to notice his idiocy" the princess sighed "Not per say idiocy more like incompatibility with the role he was placed in" Ian smiled "A role I believe you might be well suited for" Ian continuedReading on this site? She said in a heavy tone "I have various ways, no necessarily orthodox but... I have ways" Ian replied "Please give me an example" The princess asked with curiosity "Mass murder of opposing nobility, assassination of your brother, using blackmail to force opposing nobility to support your cause. Lots of ways!" Ian replied with a happy smile on his face The princess began to have a cold sweat down her back as she saw Ian bring up terrifying topics with such a pure smile on his face. "O-oh yea those could work" Ian smile began to fade as his prismatic eyes shined with a blood red hue "So let me ask you again, are you willing to rule this country?" "Y-yes" The princess replied fearfully With his eyes returning to normal Ian''s smile returned to his face "Good! I will get to work, trust me you will not regret this at all!" Getting up Ian opened a portal and walked through leaving the princess alone on the balcony Standing on the roof of the castle Ian drank some immortal wine whilst staring at the surrounding landscape "I forgot to ask her for the list of the opposing nobles..." Ian thought gloomily "It''s going to be embarrassing as hell to have to come back and ask for it when I left in such a unique manner" Ian continued his thoughts Ian never really had to open a portal, he could have just teleported from the spot, but to leave a distinct god like impression he exaggerated his departure "I really need to stop trying to impress people with such elaborate tricks, just vanishing from the spot would have been as mystifying. Ahh I need to stop with these fantasy villain exits, it''s completely cringe worthy now that I look back on it" Ian thought quite pissed with himself Clenching his fist Ian thought "No more useless badass exits and shit, let''s just stay practical... Unless the situation really deems for a badass exit... No wait that would just make all of my latter thoughts redundant" Ian sat there continuing to confuse himself with useless thoughts "Ah screw it I''ll just do what I feel like in the moment, really what does it matter?" Sitting up Ian finally untangled himself from his redundant thoughts Looking over the city and the plains surrounding the manmade structures, Ian sighed "Although the medieval Europe setting is quite appealing compared to martial worlds the natural landscape aesthetic is really lacking" Ian thought Turning to face away from the landscape Ian walked back to the princess''s location to receive information on the noble opposition _______________________________________________________________________________ "Okay so there is about 30 nobles out of 50 who are opposed to the princesses cause who actually hold any degree of political power" Ian muttered while reading the list "As long as I can force the remainder of the opposition in the noble faction to support the princess she should be set, now where to start" Walking down the roads Ian approached a lavish home, looking up Ian''s face began to display an odd expression "Of course, the first one I choose has to be like this, I feel like my karma is being manipulated" Scoffing Ian rejecting the thought "I''m not even linked to karma anymore the chances of my being controlled are minimal, it''s more likely that I''m just choosing the worst possible choices and generating an odd sequence of events for myself" After repeating the possibilities in his head Ian decided he was just really bad at making good decisions at the moment. Of course, that could change on moment''s notice so Ian moved on with his thoughts "Now to deal with this noble" Ian gloomily looked at the noble''s home (Chapter 10) Humans are Unique Approaching the mansion Ian''s face grew increasingly twisted with each step he took "There is something really unique about this place, emphasis on the unique" Ian thought grimly Walking through the door Ian was welcomed to a brightly lit entrance way with mahogany stairs leading to the upper floors and soft carpets covering the floors of the entrance and the upstairs halls Walking up the stairs Ian began to get a strange feeling "It feels so plain its suspicious, no hunting trophies, no busts, no paintings, no excess furniture. This barely feels like a home" Ian thought whilst looking around the halls of the house Walking into a room which should have been the study Ian was welcomed an empty desk and bookshelves "There is definitely a noble living here, he was seen coming in not less than 3 hours ago" Ian thought Sighing Ian thought of something he regretted coming to his mind "He''s probably one of those people who like to live in "secrecy" due to eccentric tastes in whatever he/she is into. I should probably look for a "secret" entrance or whatever" Ian thought feeling the odd emotions in the air Connecting with his inner reality Ian searched for a path finding treasure, soon Ian searches led to him attaining a copper compass with a blank face and a long green needle Brining the compass out to his body Ian lifted the compass and injected some of his energy inside Suddenly the needle twitched and swung around to the exit of the study, following the needle Ian was soon led to the kitchen of the mansion The needle then pointed towards one of the floor cupboards within the kitchen "Here? In the kitchen?" Ian was actually quite bewildered at the thought of a secret entrance being in the kitchen of all places "The study I could understand, same with the master bedroom or a storage room but the kitchen?" Suddenly Ian thought of something that made him increasingly worried about what he was about to see "I just realized this but, there is no staff here. No maids, butlers, cooks, nothing."The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Shuddering Ian opened the cupboard and discovered a trapdoor on the bottom of the cupboard Waving his hand, the trapdoor unlocked and slowly opened. Turning to climb down the ladder Ian slowly began to climb down, the trapdoor and cupboard door closing behind him ____________________________________________________________________________________ Climbing down the ladder Ian was welcomed to a well-lit hallway with lavish decorations on the walls. Stepping onto the carpet Ian felt a strange sensation on his feet, an odd springy sort of feeling. It did not have the texture of fur, fabric or any common place carpet material. "Hair?" Ian thought looking down at the carpet. "A carpet made of hair? I''m about to experience something way out of the norm, aren''t I?" Ian questioned in his mind Continuing down the hall Ian concealed himself, gently approaching and opening the nearest door Peering inside Ian observed the contents of the room. "Storage? For food and the like? How did it get down here? Unless there is an entrance I am unaware of" Closing the door, Ian continued down the hall and searched any form of sound to investigate Looking down to the very end of the hall, which lied quite some distance away large amounts of chatter, movement and a single source of laughter emitted from the door Approaching the door Ian slide inside and was welcomed to an odd scene A bald man looking at his staff with schadenfreude as their hair was cut, both men and women none were spared. Only a few who seemed to only keep their hair for public showing got to maintain their normal hairstyle and they were kept in the corner of the room to stay out of the bald man''s sight "Yup, I walked into something odd..." Ian thought heavily Disguising himself as a bald man Ian hid in a shaded corner of the room before revealing himself "My lord uhh..." Ian suddenly stopped his sentence "I forgot his name didn¡¯t I" Ian thought with self-loathing "My lord I have some wonderful news!" Ian announced in false joy Having been in his blissful schadenfreude the lord in question was quite displeased to have his moment ruined "What is it" The Lord growled "I have heard news that the princess has acquired some sort of concoction that promotes hair growth, for anyone!" Ian informed in happiness "WHAT!?" Standing up immediately the lord gripped Ian''s shoulders with a mad glint in his eyes "Are you telling the truth! If your lying..." The Lord said with an odd mixture of warning, joy, and insanity "Never my lord!" Ian swore "However, she said it would only be given to those who needed it and were sworn to allegiance to her by contract" Ian said with increasing disappointment "Is that it? That''s all she wants? My loyalty?" The Lord said with glee and madness "I would kneel to anyone who get help me get my hair back, do you know how much the court mocks me for my condition because it was rumored I have no hair...ANYWHERE. I''ve lost contacts and good subordinates because they couldn¡¯t take the mockery and distain affiliated with me." The Lord began to shout "My lord it is true I swear my life on it" Ian said with absolute confidence "This man must bend under pressure easily if all it takes for him to fall this far is a bit of mockery, or he is a madman with high EQ" Ian thought "Get me the contract page! I will sign and send it in today!" The Lord shouted in glee Soon the contract was sent in and the lord got back his hair and "hair" striding back into the court with pride and his mad obsession calmed, for now. And the princess, well she was staring in awe at the contract in front of her After all she had tried to capture this lord''s loyalty before and never succeeded "That man works in mysterious ways" The princess thought (Chapter 11) To The Demon Country! After managing all of the nobles and strengthening the princess''s faction to prepare for the rebellion, Ian left the capital off to a new destination With his true appearance Ian was walking down a dusty highway, treading towards what Ian heard to be the Demon capital. Of course, Ian was in no rush and decided to walk and take his time and he continued his walk observing the scenery of quite a number of days, not really knowing how far he was from the demon capital _____________________________________________________________________________________ "You know you need to get married soon, I don''t even care who you marry as long as your happy. But for the sake of taking the throne you need to have a spouse" A woman said to the teenager in front of her Sighing dejectedly the teen replied "I know mother, it''s just I can''t find a man who would suit me. Elves, dwarves, demon folk like us, even humans although they could only be a concubine. I feel no affinity with anyone Sighing with her daughter The Demon Queen Replied "I understand your struggles, I was just barely compatible with your father myself. However, before you can attend the Arcane Acadamy you need to get engaged. Otherwise you will be hunted by no means of an end by suitors, and have no chance to properly study" Continuing the Demon Queen said "The humans knowledge and talent in magic has degraded to almost nothing ages ago with only a few old monsters left who are unwilling to impart their knowledge. So, to compensate they obsessively progressed in martial arts to an extreme degree. So, without magic this war we are fighting will be lost all the quicker. That''s why we need you to study magic, I know you have talent and once you receive your demon grimoire. Magic for our demon country will progress immensely." The princess sighed and turned to look outside the window when suddenly the carriage stopped and a hand burst through the door pulling the princess outside. The Demon Queen a moment to late watched as her daughter was pulled outside. After a moment the princess realized what she was grabbed by, a human adventure. Looking around the princess saw around 10 men who were now looking with lust filled eyes on her body The Demon Queen jumping out of the carriage witnessed her daughter being held captive and was helplessly captured as well due to the threats on the princess''s wellbeing. The Demon Queen was hoping to be able to escape with her daughter once they put the weapons away, but The Demon Queen then felt a cold metal bracelet clip over her wrists and all of the mana in her body slowly being forcefully drawn into the metal. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. It was a Mage Restraint Manacle __________________________________________________________________________________ Observing the forest scenery Ian was actually enjoying himself, having no one to really disturb him was quite relaxing and a luxury he did not really get to enjoy in marital worlds However, fate seemed to still pester Ian, as a few minutes later Ian walking into the scene of 2 women''s clothes being gripped and slowly torn off. Not really wanting to deviate from his planned path Ian continued walking forward into the scene. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Feeling their bodies slowly being stripped of clothing the two royals felt quite hopeless, they knew how beautiful they were and thus the intentions of these men were quite obvious. However, the tense atmosphere was dispelled as a man walked down the path and looked upon the scene with indifference. The princess and queen suddenly felt his gaze land on them and saw something they never saw in a gaze in their lives. Distain and Indifference, these two women who were always revered for whether it was their appearance or their status. Even someone who hated them would still have some degree of appreciation or respect in their gazes. They never experienced this before and felt a cold shudder run through their bodies, momentarily forgetting the situation they were in However, the human male adventures did not care for this gaze and felt insulted and began threaten him when they saw his appearance "He could sell for a pretty penny, couldn¡¯t he?" One adventure whispered "Yea, let''s catch him and then have fun with the girls" Another whispered "Hey!" One of the men shouted "Why don''t you stay here? We have some uses for you." Looking at the man coldly Ian snorted coldly "I don''t really care what you''re doing, I''m just going on my own way" Continuing his pace Ian walked past them, the men realizing Ian was going to leave surrounded him in haste "Did we saw you could leave?" One of the men sneered "I don''t believe I needed to ask" Ian replied coldly "Well it seems you don''t understand, under the might of the strong the weak must ask for everything. Even the right to live" Another man laughed "The might of the strong?" Ian suddenly grinned Connecting his thumb to his middle finger he looked at the man in front of him and snapped Watching this the man laughed "What you think you can kill me with a snap" Just as he was finishing his sentence a square grid formed of red lines slowly appeared over his body. As the man took a step forward his body collapsed into meat cubes, the smell of bloody slowly entering the air Silence, both the men and two royals watched this scene in complete horror and shock Sighing Ian connected his middle finger and thumb once again and turned the rest of the men into mists of blood with a snap just as they began to run Looking at the two royals Ian felt an odd fate connecting him to them "You two seem to be oddly lucky" Ian sighed Looking at the two bangles on their bodies Ian waved his hand, causing the manacles to disintegrate into dust "Well now, I''ll be seeing myself out" Ian said as he turned to continue down the path "Wait!" Both of the Royals called out almost simultaneously The Demon Queen asked horridly "Are you heading to the Demon Capital?" Stopping and turning face the Demon Queen Ian nodded "Why don''t you join us on our carriage, it would be much more comfortable than walking" The Demon Queen asked Finding no reason to decline, Ian reluctantly entered the carriage with the royals (Chapter 12) The Demon Capital Sitting in the carriage Ian looked out the window ignoring the Demon Queen and princess, of course the two finally started to pay attention to his appearance and had a bit of a shock. Finally, the Demon Queen asked "S-sir may I ask what your name is?" Glancing at the Demon Queen Ian simply said "Ian no need to add sir or any other mannerisms, it''s unnecessary" "Well Ian may I ask, are you human?" The Demon Queen asked quietly "Only in name" Ian replied "Are you well versed in magic?" The Demon Queen continued her questions "In a sense" Ian said "Then would you consider being a teacher for our arcane academy" The Demon Queen asked with hope "Aren''t you concerned I''m a spy" Ian ask curiously "You killed 10 of your own kind, I would doubt that" The Demon Queen smiled "Their lives could have been used to help plant a spy" Ian continued to counter argue "To stop the carriage and kidnap my daughter from right in front of me at the same moment with me being able to respond means they are elites. There is no way they would be used as fodder" The Demon Queen replied confidently However, in reality The Demon Queen was quite humiliated with herself. "Why did I decide to think of theories to aid my research during the ride home? I should have known the risk of having enlightenment and becoming vulnerable. I know I need to improve my power for the war, but I''m starting to act to hastily" Stopping for a moment Ian thought this could be a good way to increase the power of the demons to help rival the power of the sin blade he planted. After all, Ian wanted a war not a slaughter. "Fine what do I need to fill the role of a teacher in this academy" Ian asked "Well" The Demon Queen seemed to suddenly become awkward "Usually to cast magic, demons would use demonic grimoires to cast the magic they know. This is because magic they master is etched into the grimoire and allows for ease of use in combat" The Demon Queen said "This is why demons could retain their magical legacy as the runes used can only be comprehended by demons, so the grimoires of dead demon magicians could contribute their knowledge and possibly self-created spells to the demon folk and never to another race" The Demon Queen continued "Alright, I''ll find a way to deal with this" Ian said with confidence Throughout this conversation The Demon Princess had said nothing, only looking at the floor with a red faceIf you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Weapons were drawn and Ian was suddenly surrounded by various demons "I was in a carriage with royalty, is it not obvious I''m not a threat" Ian said with a distaining tone to these uptight guards "You could have threatened them, we will take you in for interrogation to find out your true motives" A orc said grimly "By interrogation do you mean torture until confession?" Ian asked with a mocking grin "Shut up!" an elf shouted "You a human have no right to question our methods" "Wow, I thought rights came with strength. Now it''s from racial privilege" Ian continued his mocking tone "It''s funny how the view of how one has a right is applied where convenient, if one is weaker than you its rights by strength, if their stronger than you it''s rights by privilege, status or race. It''s quite funny honestly" "Human, shut up! Who gave you the right to speak" The orc shouted angrily "I gave myself the right, thank you very much" Ian sneered "You a human have no rights in this place" The orc snarled "Ok could we stop saying the word ''right'' it''s getting a bit redundant" Ian said rolling his eyes "You don¡¯t have the right to ask us of anything" The orc snarled once more "Ok, speaking with you is going to end up with me arguing with you until the day you die." Ian said with growing distain "Your Majesty, I request for you to mediate this situation for their sake" Ian called out _____________________________________________________________________________________ After about 15 minutes of The Demon Queen berating the royal guard for their behavior and another 10 to make them go away The Demon Queen turned and bowed to Ian in apology "I''m sorry for the hindrance my guard has caused, I should have stopped it sooner" The Demon Queen said with genuine apology "I''m just a bit confused as to how you didn''t notice sooner, seeing as you were practically right next to me" Ian said "I-I suddenly had a comprehension in a magic I was studying and was..." The Demon Queen rushed to explain "It''s fine" Ian sighed "Let''s just settle down alright" Nodding in agreement the group entered the castle. The princess still beet red looking at the ground __________________________________________________________________________________ Sitting down in a luxurious room Ian thought about how to deal with the grimoire issue. "In all due honestly I should spend some time organizing all of the items I have in my inner reality, this could be a good reason to organize It all" Ian thought Clapping his hands time around his body slowed to an extreme pace, spending an unknown sum of years Ian finally held the book in his hands "I figured out how to store and replicate functioning formations and items in this, I''m actually quite pleased with this product" Ian thought being quite pleased with himself Ian had originally been stuck with limited resources, memorizing the various ratios and methods for creating items could lead to mental obstructions, which is why Ian never attempted to memorize the makeup of all the items he possessed. To create this book with no issues Ian needed to be undisturbed for a long period of time, in martial worlds the chances of being disturbed were too high. Thus, he never tried to do so at the time Opening the book Ian look at one of the pages and willed for the listings of formations to appear Looking at a random formation Ian tapped the name The name when touched glowed slightly as a card began to slide out of its words Looking at the card Ian saw the formation lines printed throughout the body of the card only needing a thought or trigger to be activated "I think this product turned out a bit too well" Ian thought with an awkward smile
