《Ability》 prologue Prologue It was a summer night you could see stars very clearly. The star were shining like newly polished diamond. The wind was blowing very smoothly too. Under the moonlight there were people talking around campfire. ¡°Hey, hey grandpa is it true that dad was hero of this country.¡± ¡°yes, He was. He save this world along with this old man of yours.¡± ¡°Oooo wow, tells us how he did it. Please, pretty please.¡± ¡°hahaha¡­ sure how can i say no to my adorable godchildrens.¡± ¡°then it happened when dad meet mom right, he told us one time before that he can do anything for mom¡± ¡°ya he certainly can do anything for her but my story starts sometime before that, when he was 15years old.¡± 20 years ago It was well lighted room. There was a table in the middle of the room and one chair on one side of the table and two chairs on the other side. From latter side, a man sitting in chair asked person before him in low and trembling voice. ¡°can you¡­¡­ save him?¡± The person from opposite side answered while moving his head side to side saying ¡°I¡¯m sorry sir, but I cant save your child. I don¡¯t know how to.¡± ¡°I..I see. Huh so not even you can save him.¡± ¡°I cant save him but I can help you.¡± ¡°wha¡­.. what does that mean?¡± ¡°lets see, There is a doctor who might be able to save him. His name is Dr. Philip solomon. His is specialist in unknown disease and surgery. He might help you. Although---¡± ¡°if its money I can pay.¡± ¡°No no, its not about money. You see he work for government and he is leading researcher in military. So its not easy to meet him.¡± ¡°is there a way?¡± ¡°hmmm lest see he is coming in town next week for some research you might be able to meet him then, I¡¯ll help you to get introduce.¡± ¡°oh thank you, thank you very much. I cant repay you enough for this.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t say that, its my duty to save those which we can save right?¡± After there conversation man left the room. There was only doctor who was sitting in chair staring at the door intensely and for some reason there was a cunning smile on his face. He then turn his attention from door to phone near his hand on the table. Okay then I¡¯ll report you if anything changes.¡± Finally Friday came and the man was in the same room from before and the doctor was also sitting in same chair. Only difference was there were two more people. One was mans child who was suffering from unknown disease and other person was dr.solomon. ¡°I have examined your son and I more or less can grasp what kind of disease its.¡±with heavy and prideful voice dr.solomon said Hearing this the face of man which was depress for so long was smiling. The man searched for cure but not single doctor could help. This was first time that anyone identified it. ¡°but, I can only say what this disease is. I don¡¯t know if I can cure it or not. I only seen this once before, its very rare heart disease. ¡± Hearing this the smile on his face vanished in thin air like it was never there to begin with. but he couldn¡¯t let go of this last hope after searching for cure almost a year. ¡°although if you we take him to republic city. There is very advanced research lab of mine. We might be able to cure him there. I can get him a suitable donor also.¡± ¡°Donor?¡± ¡°yes, as I said early its heart disease. If not operated soon he will die.¡± ¡°I¡­I understand, please do whatever to save my son.¡± ¡°okay then its decided tomorrow we¡¯ll travel to republic city.¡± ¡°dr.solomon about¡­.. money?¡± ¡°don''t worry we¡¯ll talk about it once we find a suitable donor. for now we have to focus on saving this child.¡± Putting his hand on childs head beside him dr.solomon looked towards child. The child smiled towards dr.solomons word to his response dr.solomon also smiled back. That night dr. Solomon and doctor had little chat over some drinks. ¡°so sir how was the specimen?¡± Taking some sip from his glass he answered ¡°good, its perfect to start my new experiment.¡± ¡°then¡­¡± rubbing his hands together he continue ¡°about that payment we talked.¡± Putting his glass down and making a poker face with no emotion he replied ¡°lately you have been very greedy and sending me damage goods and anything at that.¡± bending forward to reduce the distance between there face he continued ¡°anyways that doesn¡¯t matter now when I have no use of you, right?¡± ¡°wha¡­. what? don¡¯t you dare to go back on your words. I know your little secrets and what you do to those people once I send them to you. If you don¡¯t give me what I want I¡¯ll tell everybody who and what you really are.¡± ¡°*sigh*, I was planing to let you live but by threatening me you just dig your own grave.¡± saying this he snap his middle finger and thumb together. In next moment doctor felt heavy pressure on him. He looked around for source and he fond a man standing behind him. ¡°wha.. when¡­ when did he get in? Who are you?¡± The anger in doctors eyes turned into fear when he saw this scene.( how he get in? Door is locked from inside and window¡­ no no we are on 3rdfloor, even if someone climb from window it wouldn''t go unnoticed and seeing his face he doesn''t look exhausted. Then----) ¡°you¡­. you planed this from the start, didn¡¯t you?¡± ¡°you could say. Although I was not planning to use him but the conversation we just had it became necessary, don¡¯t you agree?¡±saying this dr.solomon rose from his chair started walking towards door ¡°make sure you clean this place and don¡¯t leave any evidence.¡± giving his order to the man who was standing right behind doctor, he once again started walking towards door. Hearing this the man nodded in affirmative And then before dr.solomon left the room he looked towards doctor and said ¡°nothing personal I just cant have any loose ends.¡± and just like that he left the room. ¡°I¡­..I¡¯ll pay you double of what h..he is pa¡­paying you. Ju¡­ just let me go please.¡± But man didn¡¯t say a word instead he took out a short sword and then in flash his hand moved horizontally. And suddenly in doctors vision the world got upside down And before he could realize he died without feeling any thing. chapter one - escape CHAPTER ONE ESCAPE ¡°max ¡­ hey wake up¡­.. max--¡± As someone was calling his name max opened his eyes slowly. Because he was asleep for very long time he blinked twice or more to adjust his eyesight that of surrounding light. After opening his eyes he notice an middle aged man in front of him. He tried to look around but his eyes were pierced by intense bright light of the room. He put his hand in front of his face to reduce the pain in his eyes. ¡°*Cough** cough*¡­.. um¡­ wha¡­ ???..¡± ¡°*sob* thank god¡­.. you are breathing. I thought I lost you *sob* oh I¡¯m so glad¡± And the man hugged him very strongly to show his affection towards max.max was only a 16year boy. He Unable to understand whats happening, pushed the man away from him. ¡°who¡­ who are you? Where am I ? whats happening ?¡± ¡°I¡¯ll tell you everything but first we gotta get out of here.¡± Looking around max found out that they were in some kind of room with very different types of hospital equipment and tools and that he was wearing some kind of withe scrubon him. The man reach out for bag beside him and took out some cloths. From look of it they seemed little shabby and old cloths. Then he turned towards max and said ¡°come on hurry put this on you, you cant go outside looking like that.¡± Max took the clothes from him and changed into them while that man looked outside for any moments outside of the room. then he gave signal to max to come with him. After following the man for quite some time max tried to strike conversation with him but got interrupted by the man. ¡°okay, I think we are close to exit but there might be some guards. So I¡¯ll go check ahead a little, you wait here if I don¡¯t come in 5min follow this instruction.¡± saying that the man gave max a paper that looked like hand drawn map and there were something written in the back. After he gave max map,the man started to walk towards the direction in which his was pointing before. After some sometime later max heard some foot steps running towards him so he tried to hide himself in nearby room but before he could get in room somebody grabbed his shoulder from behind and then heard familiar voice from behind. ¡°don''t worry its just me. I just ran because there were some guards who notice me. We cant get out of here unless we do something about them.¡± Max because of recently waking up didn¡¯t knew what was the situation. He could only grasp that they were in some kind of hospital or facility with heavy security and this man front of him was trying to get them both outside. But he couldn¡¯t understand ¡°why?¡± (why? Why this person trying to get me outside of this building. Who is he?) there were many question in max head but he calmed himself down and asked the person beside him. ¡°why are you doing something like this? From what I can see this is some kind of high security type of facility. I don¡¯t or rather I can¡¯t remember anything before you took me out of that capsule from that room earlier. Who are you? And what happening? why I¡¯m here?¡± ¡°for now I can only say that you were captured And I¡¯m here to get you out of this mess. Once we out of this city I¡¯ll tell you everything in detail, so please trust me for now I¡¯ll not harm you.¡± Seeing his eyes full determination max let out a sigh ¡° okay for now I¡¯ll follow you but once we out of this facility you have to answer my every question, alright?¡± Before max could confirm his answer their conversation got interrupted by voices outside room. ¡°you sure you saw that man around here?¡± ¡°yes sir. I saw him running towards this direction and there was someone else also.¡± ¡°Someone else? After a moment when everything seemed to be calmed down two people came out of a room. They were max and that old man. ¡°shit they know we are trying to get out that means exit is now more heavily guarded. We have only one route of exit.¡± ¡°so what to do old man?¡± ¡°hmm¡­.. what to do?¡­¡­ IDEA! They are only after me for now they don¡¯t know who is other person is if that so then----¡± ¡°that means I can get out if I hide and run for exit. Right?¡± ¡°right.¡± ¡°but is it alright, I mean don¡¯t you wanna get out with me.¡± ¡°It¡¯s okay, my mission was something else but my priority was you. Here take this and follow the map, at destination you¡¯ll find someone waiting for this once you hand over it tell them alfred gave you this. If everything goes right you might get out of this city.¡± ¡°then what about you ?¡± ¡°if I can I¡¯ll meet you at destination. But don¡¯t wait for me long. It might be far from here but if I don¡¯t come in day or two flee this city with the help of that person.¡± ¡°how should I¡¯ll know that this is the person I¡¯m suppose to meet?¡± ¡°once you reach the destination ask the person if he answers with then that means his the one. Oh! One more thing---¡± After reaching near exit max and alfred looked around. There were many guards and max could see the main gate leading out of this facility. He also saw small door near gate for soliders to pass. Between them and that gate was 20 to 30 feet of open area were trucks and some stuff was. Max thought they both can go jumping behind from one truck to other hiding to reach near door, but only problem was how to open the door without getting notice. As max train of thought was running off, it got stop by alfreds voice. As to whisper something alfred spoke in low voice ¡°now as planned I¡¯ll lure them in opposite side to the gate once you get chance open that door and run as fast as you can don¡¯t look back no matter what happens, promise that. Okay?¡± ¡°I.. I don¡¯t know about any promise but if you can run fast then I¡¯ll hold the door for you---¡± ¡°NO¡± suddenly alfred let out loud voice. But recovered fast and looked around to see if anyone heard him or not. Then once again he said ¡°no you don¡¯t have to do that. They are most likely after the thing I gave you and you. They wont kill me until they find that thing.¡± ¡°you mean this small chip? I¡­ I can understand this but why me?¡± ¡°every answer for your question is in that chip so don¡¯t loose it. Promise me no matter what happens you¡¯ll just run for yourself and will not turn no matter what. Okay?¡± Max took a look of chip in his hand (whats so important about this chip, That they are willing to capture him alive. In the first place how he get this? I need to ask him many question about how I got here? and who is he? But first thing first we need to get outta here.) alfred told max to move hiding behind trucks to get closer to the door once he close enough he¡¯ll get there attention towards him. Once max get the chance he have to run for it. Door should be open because it was the common passage to get in and out of this facility. As told max moved hiding and eventually reach near door. ¡°HEY! IDOTS I¡¯M HERE YOU DUMBASS¡± Shouting while standing in middle openly alfred declared his whereabouts to everyone And off cause everybody looked in shouting mans direction. (that old man what he thinking coming out in open like this. Even if they don¡¯t shoot him is he an idiot himself?) thinking that max moved closer to door while every ones attention was at alfred. He opened the door and smile came to his face. After opening the door he saw small passage leading to another door similar to this one. He ran for it and opened the2nd door and found himself outside the facility. As he turned to take look of facility *CRACKssssss* he heard loud sound. From that loud sound it was clear that it belonged to the gun. (what? Whats happening that was gunshot right now. But he said they won¡¯t kill him.) Then max remember why old man said that max face become pale, the smile from just before was gone and small drops of water came from his eyes. After all no matter what even spending small amount of time with old man he knew that old man was genuinely trying to help him. Max whipped his face with his arm and tried to run towards get he just came from but before he could reach the door *BOOOOOOM* With loud noise fire and smoke could be seen from were max was standing. Max saw there were different areas where fire was and also there was smoke coming from area were alfred was suppose to be. But because of wall between him and old man he couldn¡¯t confirm situation inside and if he go back inside he would likely to get caught. If he stays for long other might notice him, so his only option was to to escape the scene of crime. He ran away from that place while his eyes were foggy because of tears. After a while max reached a place surrounded by trees with little bit of open area. He took a breath to slow down his fast pounding heart from running for while. After he calmed himself he took out a map from small bag which was given to him by alfred. In the bag there were water bottle and some fruits and some money. ¡°so you were aiming for this from the start huh..¡± After thinking about alfred, he unfold the map in his hand. After looking on the piece of paper only one thing came out of his mouth. ¡°WHAAAAT!¡± CHAPTER TWO - Republic city of south CHAPTERTWO Republic city of south ¡°what the hell this?!¡± Looking at the map in his hand given by alfred, max let out an scream. Because on that map was nothing but very poorly drawn building or something similar to it, at least that how that looked. Not only that there was arrow indicating towards that drawing and there was something written below that arrow. that¡¯s it. It didn¡¯t show any direction to follow or how to get there. Then max turned the paper and there were something on it also < if you¡¯re reading this means you were succeeded to get out of that facility. My friend told me this might happen so I prepared this in advance. You saw that little firework right----> (that was little firework huh?!) max thought to himself. < don¡¯t worry about me I have made it out of there because of my friends little advice. Anyways we have 3days to get to the destination after that the other party will leave. They are our last option to get of this city. One more thing this is closest city to military HQ ¡°the republic city¡± so don¡¯t do anything that put you on spotlight. Hope you safely reach the destination. > ¡° You Fucking kidding me. You old shit next time we meet I¡¯m kicking you in back.!¡± After max checked the contains of his bag and so called ¡°map¡± he started to move towards more crowded area to get information about old factory, his destination. After walking in crowded area he looked around and found some stalls that were selling some vegetables and fruits, there were also some different stalls that were selling cheap jewelry. He came to near a stall that were selling fruits and took a look on a particular fruit. ¡°oh customer that good eye you got there it¡¯s rare fruit in this area.¡± ¡°hmm, what¡¯s called?¡± ¡°Its called dragon fruit. Its mostly grow in desert area. It might be sour in taste but its very refreshing to eat it.¡± ¡° how much for it?¡± ¡° 1 silver for one dragon fruit.¡± ¡°wha- what? That expensive!¡± By the way this worlds currency is as following: 5 SmallCopper = 1Copper, 10Copper=1Silver, 100Silver= 1Gold. There also platinum but only rich top of the world people have it. Max had 10 silver and some copper in his bag given by old man. ¡°huuuuh, if you cant pay don¡¯t waste my time. Go away shu shu!¡± (whats with him? You are the one who called me you idiot.) As max was about to leave but a girl came and stop him. A girl smaller then him about 8 or 9years old by looks of it. She was wearing a ragged light blue dress and small bow on her hair of same color. She was carrying one paper bag with her, in which some vegetable could be seen. ¡°hey you mister, you are again trying to deceiving someone?!¡± ¡°wha- what are you saying little girl I didn¡¯t deceive anyone. I only told him how expansive they can get.!¡± (no you didn¡¯t.) max thought. ¡°hmph, lie all you want I know how you deceive other people for their money.¡± ¡°you little-- if you don¡¯t get out from front of my stall I¡¯ll call guards over hear.!¡± ¡° call them and I¡¯ll tell them all about your scam.!¡± ¡°you low life slum peoples!!¡±Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. Hearing probability of guards or solider coming this way max face got pale for second, then he took that girls hand and started to run in that crowded road. ¡°HEY WAIT--!!¡± After running for while he stop to take a breath. Then he heard a heavy breathing and small voice came out from beside him. ¡°aa- excuse me, can you let go of my hand please?!¡± ¡° ah- yes!¡± letting go of her hand max face was somewhat red and as for girl, her face looked blushed too. Then settling down on near by bench they started to talk. ¡°Ah- let me introduce myself, my name is mia.¡± ¡°I¡¯m max, just call me max.¡± ¡°I¡¯m sorry about earlier.¡± ¡°no no I should be thankful for that actually. He was trying to rob me and you stop him, although I wasn¡¯t gonna buy that any way.¡± ¡°hehehe, I mean there are many people that try to rob tourist in this city.¡± ¡°wh- why do you think I¡¯m tourist?!¡± ¡°huh you¡¯re not?!¡± ¡°No I mean you could say I¡¯m new in this city, but how did you knew?¡± ¡°Oh that, that¡¯s because your clothes. Usually only northern people wear that kind of clothes and they don¡¯t come in this city or rather in this country anymore.¡± Yes, as she told that max thought to himself that his clothes and clothes of this cities people were definitely different. Max was wearing brown robes while people he saw was wearing trousers and shirts and women were nicely dressed . But he didn¡¯t understand why people of north didn¡¯t come to this country. So he asked her about it, but she didn¡¯t knew anything in particular. He only could get that there was war in the past between south and north Continent and south won that war and now people of north needed to pay heavy boarder fee to get in the country. They were treated badly by this country¡¯s people so they avoided travelling here all together. ¡°Here eat this it¡¯s not as good as that dragon fruit you were looking but it¡¯s sweet I guaranty you that much.¡± ¡°Is it okay? I mean weren¡¯t it¡¯s for your family?!¡± ¡°It¡¯s okay we got plenty of this.!¡± ¡°If you say so.¡± As max took that small berry like fruit and put in the mouth his expression change from stiff to that of smiling like child. ¡°hmmmm, it¡¯s really sweet and good. What it¡¯s called?!¡± ¡°hehehehe, it¡¯s called honey berry. I picked it myself in forest near the city.¡± After talking about the city and all different things max notice peoples stares at them and how mia was uncomfortable ¡°Is there a problem?!¡± ¡°No it¡¯s nothing, it- it¡¯s just that people like me don¡¯t belong in this area I should be going my sister is waiting for me.¡± As she said that and then ran off without saying anything more, max let out a sigh. He looked around and people were still saying things like ¡°hmph trash like that should ran like that¡± or ¡°what a trash doing here?!¡± and even someone called ¡°that must be trash born by one of the brothels in that slum!¡± (this people and that store man also called her slum trash. Whats with this city, how can they called a child like that trash.) ¡°Oh shit, I forgot main thing to ask her. *sigh* its means I just have to ask someone else huh *sigh*!¡± After wandering around and gathering information max found out that the old factory that old man talk about was near slum area. You could get there in hour or two by any transportation but unfortunately no one would go there, not because of discrimination but because there was no return ride to pay after all it was slum area. So max decided to wake to the place after all he got direction and knew where the place was. ¡°I hope we meet again.¡± ********************** Someplace near facility *siren* *siren* *siren* ¡°So can anybody explain me what happened here, why my base is on fire and how it happened?!¡± The man who asked this was staring intensely at the half burned building which max has escaped and old man alfred had put fire on. It was there captain who was in charge of this base, captain price. ¡°cap- ah captain price you see--¡± ¡°SPEAK UP SO I CAN HEAR YOU!¡± ¡°YES. You see sir there was an intruder who did this.!¡± ¡°So you catch that intruder, right?!¡± ¡°ah- a no sir we couldn¡¯t !!¡± As anger erupt from captain price he was immediately calmed down by other voice which called out for him ¡°SIR, report of damage.¡± ¡°*sigh* thanks 1stlieutenant you may return.¡± As he was scanning through report he found some odd things in it. (Whats this it¡¯s odd, everything is either burned or damage the intruder didn¡¯t took any weapon or anything important. There are some burned bodies but we won¡¯t find it whose those belong to until we test them and there are still some missing test subjects. If I have to say he was after those test subject and result from the beginning but why?!) ¡°You are 2ndlieutenant right? you created this mess you clean this shit and find that intruder of yours. Is that clear?!¡± ¡°YES SIR!¡± Then pointing to stand by soldier price said ¡°you take this report and give it directly to dr. Solomon.¡± ¡° yes sir.¡± ( I don¡¯t known what were you after but once I find you, I¡¯ll be sure to torture you and get that information out of you.) As his eyes were full of anger captain price left the scene with his subordinate. CHAPTER THREE - Arriving at destination CHAPTER THREE Arriving at destination After few hours of walking max finely could see slum area but after escaping and all wandering around in city it already been a 15 or 16 hours so when he arrived at slum area it was around 8pm and max was tired from walking around endlessly. The food in his bag was gone and water was near empty. So he decided to stay night someplace safe but in slum area people were already were living in hut or those who could afford it were in inn or brothel. Max thought checking out bar and inn because he can¡¯t ask people living hut to let him stay because there was barely any space for them self and he didn¡¯t want to go to brothel so his only choice was to go to the inn. ¡°*sigh* lets hope I get at least decent place to spend night.!¡± max was searching for decent looking place and saw a three story tall building with name on it and there was a small board just outside there door, on it was written < one night stay- 2 silver two time meal included, 1 week stay- 6 silver and extra meal > ¡°hmmm I guess I¡¯ll stay here for night it¡¯s very cheap.¡± As max thought he heard loud noises from inside, so entered the place to look at it. When entered he saw some soldiers arguing with an muscular middle aged man who was wearing chef cloths and by looks of it he was the owner of this place. Seeing soldiers max hesitated to enter any further but then max saw soldier holding a paper and he was showing it to the chef. Max decided to get close look on that thing to confirm something and he mixed himself in the crowed get closer look. ¡°look carefully have you or anybody seen this man anywhere?¡± ¡°I told you I nor any of my employee ever saw this man, so just get out of here.!¡± ¡°look old man you are interfering with militaries work here if you don¡¯t answer us honestly!¡± ¡°hmph what can a lieutenant do here any way.!!¡± ¡°YOU- you old fart I¡¯ll close this place down, I¡¯ll burn this place if I have to!!¡± ¡°just try you kid!!¡± As surrounding atmosphere was getting hot and intense a voice came from main door ¡°THATS ENOUGH!!¡± and everybody present in room including max looked at the door. At that door he saw a man wearing military dress walking in and on his shoulder was two sliver lines and man beside him wearing glasses had one silver line. That meant they were captain and 1stlieutenant respectively. ¡°ah- captain price why- I mean what are you doing here sir?!¡± The solider who was furious just a moment ago got confuse by sudden arrive of his boss. Not only that soldier but everybody else was as confuse as him. But price didn¡¯t paid any attention to them and replied while glaring at him. ¡°I heard news that you have lead on that intruder, so I decided to come myself. Do you have any objection?!¡± ¡°NO no- how can I have any objection. Hahaha please come and help!¡± (shit! How can that information get to him.) looking towards man beside captain price, he thought to himself (Ah I get it it was you huh, that glasses guy is fucking weird. He finds every small information shit! If it¡¯s not for him I could have been captain long time ago.) Price ignored the stares and stared to walk towards max. As he started to walk towards max, he got confuse and in response max backed a little. ¡°Why are you afraid? I just want to ask you something. Who are you? What are you doing here? Are you here for some night entertainment?!¡± ¡°uh- about that-¡± As max was about to answer that, their conversation got interrupted by owner of the bar. ¡°Price can you stop intimidating my customer.¡± At this statement both price as well as max got confuse. Max looked at the man and that man winked back at max. (wha- whats happening here? Why this muscle man winking at me?!) ¡°hmm what do you mean by your customer old man?!¡± ¡°He just recently arrived in capital and his things got stolen, So one of my employee offered him to stay a night here. So can you give some space he already had bad day.¡± ¡°Is that so. Mommy promise me she will.¡± ¡°*sob* I wished she could, but shes gone in different world now where god will protect her.!¡± Max only saw a body lying down and man was crying beside it. He could see only from childs perspective. He couldn¡¯t see that mans face nor he could identify any of his surrounding as it was blurred. Who is this man? Who¡¯s memory is this? Is it mine and if so why cant I see anything clearly? What¡¯s happening? As max mind wander off nothing but darkness consumed his vision and finally max fell in deep slumber. ¡°AH- wha- where am I ?¡± As max opened his eye a ray of light pierce his eyes blinding him for moment. ¡°oh so you finally awake now?!¡± ¡°oh owner what happened and this place?!¡± ¡°you are in one of the guest room. You suddenly collapse like that so I called doctor, he said you might have heat stroke or stress out on something.¡± ¡°is that so!¡± As max was thinking something he notice a small hand near his bed following that he saw a girl sleeping soundly on her chair. ¡°Oh she, she was attending to you for two days now. I told her to go home but she refused. I think that child really like you.¡± ¡°WAIT! What did you just said right now?!!¡± ¡°she like you?!¡± ¡°no before that!¡± ¡°that you were out cold for two days?!¡± ¡°two days?! I was out cold for two days?!¡± ¡° ah yes¡± ¡°shit! After hour or some he arrived at his destination the old factory. But the scene he saw was little bit different from what he imagined. The old factory was on fire and there were some people standing near by more specifically they were soldiers and one that max saw at bar. A man wearing glasses was there but their captain was not there. As max was looking for him two people jumped from inside of fire to outside. A girl who was same height as max and a weird looking creature. That creature was 8-feet tall, had wings and horns coming out of his head. He somewhat looked like and gargoyle or devil himself. And this two were fighting intensely destroying anything and everything in there path. As max thought getting out of there man in glasses called out him. ¡°HEY, HEY YOU¡¯RE FROM THAT INN RIGHT?!!¡± Max started to run away from there on that remark but gotta cut off by that gargoyle thing. ¡°So you also came? I thought there was something weird about you. So tell me you¡¯re the one who burned my base? Depending upon your answer I¡¯ll let you live.!!!¡± CHAPTER FOUR - Captain Price Two days ago, In room were it looked like that it was just renovated, wall were newly painted there stood two man talking to each other. One of them had cigarette in his mouth and was standing near the window. He was watching the progress of reconstruction of the building that recently burned down and man standing few feet behind him wearing glasses had some papers in his hand. ¡°*cough* uhm sir I got some new updated on that recent incident.¡± As he heard that his ear twitch and his eyebrows raised. He turn around and put off his cigarette in ashtray on his table. As he turned you could see he was around 25-26 years old man. An handsome face on which girls could die. It was captain price. ¡°go ahead robert.¡± ¡°Yes, then about that intruder we still don¡¯t know his identity but we might be able to get his whereabouts.¡± ¡°Oh! And where could be our little rat might hiding?¡± ¡°About that I don¡¯t know the exact place but it looks like he might be in slums and looks like 2nd lieutenant already has gone there.¡± ¡°*tch* that bastard his still trying to get my position!!¡± ¡°Sir one more thing the subject that escaped, I can¡¯t access his file. He was wearing brown robes and had a small bag enough to carry some food and clothes. And he heard voices coming inside from inn. Do you have any objection?!¡± ¡°NO no- how can I have any objection. Hahaha please come and help!¡± Then ignoring others he stared to walk towards that boy. Seeing price come at him boy got scared and backed off a little. ¡°Why are you afraid? I just want to ask you something. Who are you? What are you doing here? Are you here for some night entertainment?!¡± ¡°uh- about that-¡± As max was about to answer that, their conversation got interrupted by owner of the bar. ¡°Price can you stop intimidating my customer.¡± Price turned his head to see from where that voice came from and saw a middle aged man who was this inns owner. ¡°hmm what do you mean by your customer old man?!¡± ¡°He just recently arrived in capital and his things got stolen, So one of my employee offered him to stay a night here. So can you give some space he already had bad day.¡± ¡°Is that so. I¡¯ll try going deep in his mind but it¡¯ll need concentration so you go ahead I¡¯ll wait and try it now.¡± As robert asked price left and robert went near white flower inn to get inside maxs head. Robert saw max memories and saw that he was there when that explosion happened. But as soon as he tried to go deep in his memory he only saw darkness then he heard a voice ¡°oh we have visitor. Thanks for waking me up from my slumber, but I don¡¯t like people who snoop around in others businesses. This boy doesn¡¯t need you snooping around in his head. So BEGONE!!!¡± And just like that robert was kicked out of max head by an unknown voice. Then he looked inside to see what happened and saw max collapse on ground. ( What was that? How can be there someone else. No no I¡¯m over thinking it there might be someone with similar ability who put protection on him or something like that how can it happen? I need to report this to captain and that map his going for old factory!!) After coming back Robert reported what happened and what he saw in max head. Hearing all this price was grinning like mad man. ¡° So my guess was right he have something to do with this!!¡± ¡°Sir should I go and capture that boy now then?¡± ¡°NO! We¡¯ll wait for him to go there were his other friends are and I¡¯ll kill all of them with my own hands. Put some of your trusted people to tail him I want every small detail of him. What he eat? Where he go? What he do? Everything understood?!!¡± ¡°Yes sir I¡¯ll do as you asked.¡± But after two days of waiting price got news that max hasn¡¯t left inn and from the looks of it his been sleeping for three days now. ¡°Sir I think we should take him in and interrogate him.¡± ¡°There is no use, we can¡¯t just arrest random people our public image will go down it¡¯s already at worst.¡± ¡°So sir what should we do?¡± ¡°We should go to old factory. We might find there something after all it¡¯s their meeting place.¡±
