Good joke, people with a weak metabolism have long since ceased to exist, they did not have the opportunity to reproduce. Today, human can be considered as a major contestant for the supremacy. However, it hasn''t always been the case, at first, humanity was weak, she didn''t possess any way to defend herself, neither claw, fangs, nor even thick fur. Therefore, she used her only avantage, which was her superior intelligence, to develop her own way to become stronger. This is how the " Awakening " was born. ****************************************************** The Human territory is situated in the North of Serbios, it constitutes a twentieth of the continent. On these lands reside billions of men, they are organised into tribes of different sizes, from top to bottom : City, town, village. In the west of men''s territory, in a little valley isolated from all, there is a small village named Acmos. Caratos, like many others, is an orphan living in this village. However, there is a few "relatively" big differences with the others kids at Acmos, first, he is pretty much a giant compared to others, with 5 feet 7 ( 1m70 ) at only 10 winters. Secondly, his hair is a blackish red, like blood, unlike the usual brown villagers. As if that was not enough to make him stand out, he is suffering from heterochromia, his right eye is a beautiful scarlet color, and his left brother is of a single imperial green. Today is an important day for all the 10 years old children, because it''s the annual event of "awakening". The adults will make a sacrifice of meat to their ancestors, so that children can unlock an animal incarnation which will allow them to gain their attribute and become stronger. The sort of incarnation they will unlock is extremely important, since there is a division of strenght and avantages between each of them. He is the elder of the village, almost 50 years, graying temples, maybe 5 feet 5. However do not be fooled by his innocent appearance, he is the strongest in the village, to survive until his age show how much he is. There is 300 adults in Acmos, and the majority of them are between 25 and 30 winters, it''s already a feat for an isolated village, at this rate of expension, Acmos will sooner or later become a town. There is differents stages of power once you become "awakened", at first appear on your back a hazy version of your animal incarnation, it''s the Misty Incarnation stage. Little by little, you will become stronger by killing and eating your enemies, because it will allow you to "eat" the essence accumulated in their bodies. However it''s still extremely rare for tribes to accept strangers, even kids, as their members. Caratos is conscient of this fact, and this is why he is ready to give his life to make this village prosper. This ceremony is his chance to show that he isn''t just a small prankster, but also a man on whom the village can rest. Caratos, still in his thoughts, finally woke up because of a strange event, some blue smoke begun to escape the altar little by little. After 5 minutes, the smoke had completely invaded the central place, the childrens couldn''t even see 30 centimeters in front of them. Caratos, in the middle of the smoke, began to feel really tired, his eyelids became heavy, then he finally couldn''t stop himself from succumbing to sleep. ***************************************************** "Where am I ?" Caratos woke up in a foreign landscape. He was in what seemed to be a tropical forest, there wasn''t much to see beside tree. From what the older told him, he should be telported to a place, where he would encounter his incarnation beast. Since there was none traces of animals in sight, he merely took the sun as a landmark and begun to walk. " Since there is nowhere specific i have to go, then why not go to the sun ?", that was what he thought until he reached IT. First study of the stars For the next 2 hours, Caratos walked through the forest. At first, the new environment was subject of excitement, new smells, new colors, new landscapes.... However, with the the arrival of the night, a silence of lead came down on the world. Covered with blood, assoifed after his crazy night, he dragged himself to the source, before diving into it. It was only after a good hour of washing in the water that Caratos finally decided to stop playing and lay down on the grass to let his body dry under the sun. Only now did he understand the saying: we only really know the value of a thing once we''ve lost. Only now did he began to think about the different options that were offered to him right now. His conclusions were : He was alone, he was 10 years old, he was clueless about anything in relation to survival when one is alone. Of course, he was born in a savage world where you have to fight everyday, and kids in those sort of place were rather resourceful, but they weren''t accustomed to live alone. Remember that being alone means being isolated in nature, to translate it otherwise, you are dead. By chance, when caratos was thinking, his gaze lay on a random grassy corner. And when he finally began to despair, he noticed a movement, small, very small, so small that he thought at first sight that his mind was playing tricks on him. Only after a movement had happened a second time was he convinced. There was something right here, the first living being beside himself. Unable to restrain his excitement at this new discovery, he rushed to the blade of grass. "Fuck....." Caratos was shocked, there standing in the grass, was a little ant looking at him. Ant Dream Chapter 3: Ant Dream Did you ever felt communion with another being ? Whether it''s a human or an animal doesn''t matter, and it''s actually what''s happening to Caratos. While looking at this ant, a strange sensation invaded him, it was like some sort of link between minds, you don''t need to speak because i already know everything. He felt his blood erupt like a volcano, something deep inside him was popping up to the surface. It was something ancient, tyrannical, a force that nothing could stop. Under the effect of this "awakening", Caratos lost conscious, his body crashing on the grass. On a distant land, eons before our times, a little ant began to construct her colony. She was a really unique one because she was from an extremly rare species, she was caracterised by the fact that the one who commanded isn''t a Queen but a King. At first, it was really hard to survive, alone, the King not only had to construct a nest to try to attract females but also to meet his own needs, and avoid being devoured by temporary predators , they tend not to stay predators for too long. Once a female have arrived, the King will reproduce, and there will begin his empire. His species is extremely rare because since they are too powerful, they are usually killed before they can develop. They possess the best caracteristics of all the others species : strength, resistance, agility, intelligence, fertility, and more than anything, their capacity to grow without any end. Can you imagine an ant as big as a tiger ? Now add the fact that there is a whole colony of them with millions of fellow ? They won the nickname of Army of Death, since they didn''t let anything on their passages, not even bones were spared. The King of this colony was lucky, he was born in a place were people usually don''t go, since it''s too dangerous for them. For the first few years, 150.000 ants were born. They became the hegemony of the forest, and the King was now standing at a dashing 10 feet (3 m) for 26 feet (8 m) long. He just swallowed the old king of the forest, which gave him enough energy to develop the 2 wings behind his back. Each one of them was measuring 60 feet, to allow his enormous body to fly in the sky. Little by little, the territory of those ant began to grow. After 30 years, the whole planet was conquered, the colony had now 40 millions members. The King evolved and became a monstruous 80 feet (25 m) high and 330 feet (100 m) long. However, at that began appeared a real problem for the ants. They had never grow this much in their species story, and they never thought they would lack food one day, but with their population size, things got out of control.This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. The King, starving, had no choice but to devour his fellowmen. The population of the ants began to drop day by day. In less than 2 years, the whole ant empire was destroyed, the whole planet was completely shaven from all forms of life, and the only one standing was the King who didn''t stop to grow, even in those times. Without any food available, the King began to starve again. However, the King was old and cunning, he was ready to do anything to survive, therefore, he began to eat the planet itself. At first, it was difficult since his organism wasn''t made to swallow earth, stone, or even wood. The King once again adapted himself and evolved to survive. It took him 750 years to swallow the planet whole. After that, his size was beyond anything his species ever knew, actually we could consider him as a complet new species, since never could the other ant reach this step. The King was now 8200 feet (2500 m) high and 21300 feet (6500 m) long. The King hated to be hungry, so he began to search for planet near him and ate them whole for 10.000 long years. He was now so big and so powerfull that no one could stop him, people ran away once they saw him in space. Always more greedy, he began to ate suns, the first took him 25.000 years, and even himslef doesn''t know how much the 500 others have taken. Came a time where The King was as big as a galaxy, but he stopped eating. Not because he changed, and wasn''t greedy anymore, but because he decided to obey his instict, and once again build a colony. However, his size became a problem since he wouldn''t be able to engross a female, none were big enough. Therefore, The King evolved once again to answer his new needs. He became able to change not only his size but also his physical apparence, from this transformation came a strategy. The King decided to create a nest the size of the universe and began to engross not only ants females, but also all the others species, which created hybrid devoted to him. He became like a parasite, and infiltrated all the races of his universe. However, soon, the problem of the food once again appeared, and so The King commanded his armies to invade the others universes. At first, The King won against his ennemies, however, once he conquered his 6th one, all the others universes of his Star Territory made an alliance, since they understood he was a threat. The King and his colony fought hard to survive, they destroyed half of the Star Territory, but still ended killed. The King was killed himslef by the cooperation of 16 masters of universes ans 1 chief of territory, killing half masters and the chief on his own. The rest of the masters, afraid and grieved by their lost, they decided to annihilate completly all the descendants of The King, to make sure, the world will never birth any monster like that again. *************************************************************************** -Back at the clearing- While Caratos was sleeping yet again on the grass, the little ant began to move and after climbing his body, place herself in the center of his back. There began a strange event. The ant began to merge with the boy and a tattoo of ant appared in the middle of his back. Oddly enough, the tattoo was much bigger than the ant, it was taking half of his back. Actually this wasn''t the most strange or terrifying, the features of the ant on his back, were the same as the one who was knew as The King.
