 Prologue

    Life has never been easy for any of us. Earth''s pollution caused multiple chronical and deadly diseases. Males gradually became more sterile while females more often than not wouldn''t survive giving birth. Most of mankind fought on this for us unknown alien battlefield of which most would never be seen again. We, as children, were left behind by our loved ones. Of course we couldn''t blame them, we all would have done the same. We all would''ve run from this hellhole which we once called our home.


    Sixteen long miserable years we had to survive. Why couldn''t we be born in another time? Why couldn''t we be born in another world? But we had to persist, we have to. The only thing keeping us from giving up all hope was that no matter how horrid the situation is on the other side, it couldn''t possibly be worse than this.


    I''ll soon be able to leave this place. However, I don''t feel glad at all. I''ll have to separate from those who I''ve started seeing as my family. I hope nothing will happen to her, atleast not until she is able find that place where she can find happiness. It''s not that I''m unable to stay, it''s just that I don''t know how much longer my already expended sanity will last. She wouldn''t allow me to stay anyways.Reading on Amazon or a pirate site?     A strange voice resounded in my head.


    "Welcome, to Adhyll"


    I shook my head and opened my still heavy feeling eyes. However, I couldn''t see anything.


    Suddenly from the darkness a dark purple, seemingly broken, crystal lit up amids this dark abyss, illuminating nothing but itself. I knew something was written. I however, couldn''t read it.These golden white translucent characters, resembling nothing i had ever seen, appeared to hover above this glimmering gem.


    While gazing upon these foreign characters, I once again heard the voice.


    "Welcome to Adhyll, young adventurer. Here your personal traits and aptitude will be tested to assure your, to be determined, rebirth will complement your soul. There are two trials which will determine the characteristics of your spirit in elemental affinity and growth potential to affirm your racial preference."This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent.     "For your first trial, please touch upon the shard of existence"


    I slowly made my way towards this "shard of existence", confused by the peculiar phrases spoken to me.


    The moment I touched the purple crystal, numerous bulbs of light appeared out of nowhere througout the abyss. After a little while I started noticing movement from these light emitting spheres. Moving around the room these lights started to fade slowly one after another, until just two orbs remained, finding their standstill above the shattered jewel.These two spheres suddenly started to rapidly accelerate around eachother, desintegrating into small particles forming a vortex which was being assimilated into the sparkling purple gem.


    After all light had vanished once again, a bit of text was written in my mind.
