《God Project : Blank Slate》 Bran First Quest and The Two Gods [Initializing Order...Consciousness Detected] [Personality Detected...Initiating Blank Slate Protocol] [Uploading Conditions and Basic Information...Uploading Successful..Rejection Not Found] [Reassigning Status: {Maou -> Blank} Confirmed] .. . [Reprogam Complete...Rebooting Consciousness] His eyes open for the first time after being remade, the grass softly dancing the nightly wind''s tune. Two moons in the sky greet him with their differing hues and sizes. Naught but the sound of the trees and their leave rustling could be heard. Along with an audible grumble of his stomache. ''''I''m hungry.'''' And thus he spoke his first words. ''''Hungry? what was it again.'''' Bran took his hands out of his cloak and scratched his head. ''''Hungry or Hunger; to require the consumption of food and may be caused by an insufficiency of a food source. I see, I need to find food. To survive.''''Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. Bran''s first quest has begun. And in another place, somewhere unreachable by mortals and the like. One that oozes the image of immortality and divinity, the Elder God that has created this new being carefully observed his creation stumble about like a newborn giraffe completely unaware of anything but its own desires. He snickered in satisfaction until another God walked into his chamber. ''''Derus, I heard you have made a being again.'''' ''''Hoho, and your concern with me is?'''' ''''Why did you put him in my world?'''' ''''Quite frankly, your world is more interesting. The one I initially wanted to put him in was dull and lifeless. Who would want their creation to dwell there?'''' ''''DON''T BEAT AROUND THE BUSH! I KNOW YOU''RE PLANNING SOMETHING AGAIN YOU SADISTIC DEITY!'''' the other God shouted in anger fully knowing Derus'' underlying motives ''''OHOHOHOHO! That is quite direct God Fausk. You certainly are a creator of such a fun world.'''' instead of being angered as well, he smiled. Fausk''s expression softened. His world was not peaceful, and he knew that the most. ''''You know fully well of the circumstances of my world. It is not something I had wanted to degrade into.'''' ''''Well I don''t want to have another counseling withhim so let us leave this matter for another time. And I''ll have you know, I put him in there for your sake you know?'''' ''''What do you mean?'''' ''''You''ve always wanted one didn''t you? AHero to save your world'''' Derus'' smile reached its uttermost capabilities. The grin he created would send chills down the spine of anyone who hasn''t the powers of a God and still even Fausk drew back a step or two from the sight. And now as Derus'' plan slowly and agonizingly unfolds, Bran stumbles on his way to a food source: A village''s cattle.
Well what did you think guys? It''s my first time posting a story here so any criticism, advice and warnings and such are very much welcomed. Thank you for the time you took reading this and please, look forward to the next chaper of ''''God Project: Blank Slate" Village of Mest and Revenge A young boy''s scream pierces the night sky. The leaves and trees stand still for a moment as if to give way to the violence about to transpire. Shortly after the scream, adults with torches run out of the village to find a young boy mercilessly slain on the ground, his head cut clean off and the tears and look of horror still frozen on his face. Blood dripped from the point of decapitation as some veins and nerves swung while the wind blew. ''''NOAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!'''' the boy''s father screamed at the sight. ''''YOU DAMN MONSTER!!!!'''' ''''Heh, we was only gon'' take a few cows but ''en yer boy just went up and screamed. Be thankful we ain''t gon'' slaughter you''s and just gon'' take yer cattle. Even we don'' want the Holy Empiah up ''ur asses'''' From the darkness, the man holding the boy''s severed head by the hair spoke. Once the light of the torches flashed upon his demeanor, his rugged beard, scarred face and smirk despite the heinous act he had just committed. ''''Nah GIT!, before ya''ll follow this boy''s fate.'''' with his threats followed the appearance of a few more men behind him, each holding weapons that has seen the rage of battle. Unable to do anything, the villagers simply shivered in their place whilst the bandits laughed and took away most of their cattle leaving them with only the corpse of a young boy. The boy''s father weeped. At being unable to protect his own son, being unable to retaliate and the simple weakness that a father should not have. The other villager''s mourned as the sun slowly rised in the horizon and folowed by another voice. ''''Do you have any cows?'''' ''Cows?'' the father thought Who in their right mind would ask something that insensitive in that situation and with an unfamiliar voice saying that, the father snapped. ''''WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU!?'''' Bran walked closer and crouched, staring the father in the eye and tilting his head expressionlessly and after a brief pause spoke. ''''I wonder?'''' ''''YOU WO- WHAT''S WRONG WITH YOU!?'''' ''''That''s enough Freight. Go on and prepare for the burial ceremony. Nothing we can do about what happened.'''' an old man interjected and emerged from the crowd. His beard was long and he used a staff as a cane. ''''Excuse us traveler.'''' ''''Old man, wait. Where''s the cows? I know there were some here. Give me one.'''' The villagers retracted back into the village back to their own lives and the Elder was left to talk with Bran. ''''A bandit group that was long harassing us took them. We have an idea where they might be but we do not have any power to take them back. Thus is the fate of lowly villagers whose King has abandoned them. So turn back sir, we do not have any food to spare'''' ''''Understood. If you had cows, would you have given them to me?'''' ''''Hoh, I do not know about giving them all but I suppose we would have shared them with you.''''This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. ''''Understood, I shall take them back. But when I do, you will share food with me, yes?'''' The Elder stroked his beard and nodded, piqued with interest. He pointed to the direction of the forest where by the side of the mountain was a cave being used as a hideout. Bran makes his way to the forest to sniff out the cave he was told of. While he walked, Derus was watching him from above with Fausk at his side to discuss what should and what will happen. ''''Fausk, you see that? He''s doing good deeds. Isn''t that nice?'''' ''''I''m still not convinced. You tell me you gave me a hero yet I still think you gave me a psychopath. How does he know anything if you made him a ''blank slate''?'''' ''''I gave him access to the most basics of information. The system you use to remo- create beings in your world is fun to use. Status points, information sources, specific customization. It''s easier than the other one he uses. It''s much more direct and hands on. Not my style.'''' ''''It''s nothing amazing, I just used something the humans there created and incorporated it into something divine beings can use.'''' ''''Still, a deed worthy of praise.'''' The two came back to watching Bran''s progress where he was now dangerously close to the cave. ''''I assume he''ll be fighting but you can''t just adjust their stats to being incredibly high right?, I made the system to be fair and only adjusts their potential and not their actual stats.'''' Derus rubbed his chin thinking of ways that Bran will overcome his particular weakness. ''''He has a lot of HP. I created him to learn so he''ll have to be able to afford mistakes. So this is something that was within my calculations.'''' ''''Oho, I see. Despite being a crazed deity you still have some sense in you.'''' ''''And you never hold your tongue.'''' Bran was now directly in front of the cave. A brown raggy clothe covered the entrance as a sort of door. Deep inside the cave, echoed dying groans and moos that the cows made indicating that some of them are possibly in the middle of being slaughtered for food. ''''Hello?!'''' Bran called into the cave raising his voice a bit. A few bandits talked inside and three came outside weapons drawn. A large battle-axe, a sword and a warhammer all worn and fairly aged from the condition of the handles and weapons themselves. ''''I need the cows. I''m hungry.'''' ''''Cows!? Are you stupid or something?'''' the bandit holding the warhammer scoffed at him. ''''Go back to where you came from, dumbfuck. Before i smash yer head open.'''' Bran tilted his head, ''''Is that a threat'''' ''''You better take it as one or I''ll kill ya'''' The bandits didn''t feel that Bran was worthy of being robbed since his cloak was worn and he was literally barefoot. ''''I need the cows.'''' Bran spoke in a more threatening manner. The bandits were taken aback for an instant since his voice was demanding and heavy. As if for a second they were suffocated by only his words. ''''YOU ASKED FOR IT!'''' The bandit shouted and swung his hammer sideways, hitting Bran directly on his torso sending him crashing into a tree making it crack. Bran coughed up blood and touched his side that was hit. ''''Ow..'''' ''''YOU LITTLE!'''' He spun his warhammer for extra momentum and smashed it upon Bran''s direct chest, breaking the tree he was thrown to and making a loud snapping noise. The other two bandits jeered him on and laughed. Bran, still lying down on the ground spoke to himself. ''''This is pain? it feels GHOCKK!'''' as he talked to himself, the warhammer wielding bandit heard him and was even more infuriated. Throwing his hammer down onto Bran again and again without relent as if he was driving a large nail undergound. The other two bandits were almost disgusted by the brutality. ''''Sto-GHCK wai-CKA you-GHCK'''' High above, Derus talked to Fausk. ''''It seems Bran learned his first lesson'''' ''''What do you mean?'''' Fausk replied. The bandit now exhausted took a few steps back while Bran lay motionless in a ground deeper than the rest from the bandit''s pounding. ''''Ruforld, you done?'''' one of the bandits shouted. ''''Yeah!, let''s go get some grub''''. Before Ruforld could turn around, the leaves rustled and he saw Bran standing up with bloodshot eyes that glared right into his soul. ''''Pain is...unpleasant'''' Brans True Strength and Cows ''''What''s wrong with this guy? He ain''t dead yet?'''' Bran staggered before regaining his balance and wiping some blood off of the side of his mouth. Petrichor filled the air that made the atmosphere much heavier than it already was. ''''Ruforld, it''s going to rain. Finish up or I''ll do it for you and hog all that exp.'''' The man holding the sword took cover near the cave entrance and was impatiently tapping his foot beside the other bandit. ''''Godfuckingdamnit!. Screw it, ''Enhancement Arts Pentagon: Strengthening Boost, Reaction Boost, Speed Boost, Agility Boost, Sense Boost. '''' Rurforld was ready to break everything out at the risk of getting his pride damaged. Ruforld''s body flashed many different colors. Fausk panicked. ''''Derus!, Bran is going to die!. If all he has is health then he won''t survive this battle.'''' ''''Tut tut, Lord Fausk. Have you ever heard that normal humans cannot use more than 40-50% of their actual strength as their bodies would crumble due to the physical strain. Some humans in his world trained their body to be able to take the strain and use up to even 60% of their strength depending on their muscle mass. Your world, Lord Fausk. Threw that idea out of the window and used stats as the sole sense of limitations a human has.'''' ''''Well, I wanted to create a fun world where the people could let their instincts go wild and still retain their humanity. Thus the monsters.'''' ''''True, but adrenaline is a key factor in what your creations call PBP or Physical Breakdown Phenomenon. When a warrior surpasses his limits for but a moment and pays the toll later with damage. Broken bones, torn muscles and even paralyzation. Your world has it all.'''' ''''What''s your point?'''' ''''I''m quite proud of this one...what do you think will happen if he could continue taking PBP since his HP would allow such strain.'''' Fausk''s eyes widened at the realization. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it Despite all of the flashy power-ups, all it took was one punch from Bran to bore a hole through Ruforld''s chest. The two other bandits were stunned for a moment as they watched the rain pour down on Bran. His eyes glowed a crimson red as his dislocated arm and elbow slowly corrected themselves. Deep inside the cave, the Bandit King finished cutting up the beef into their respective parts when suddenly one of his subordinates came screaming about a powerful adventurer that was grinding deeper and deeper into cave through all of the other bandits. ... ''''Whaddya mean he won''t die?, Y''all''ere just too damn weak.'''' Finally, Bran arrived at the end of the cave. With his favourite scimitar at the ready, he heard the footsteps get louder and louder until the makeshift door slowly creaked opened and revealed a young man with blood all over his cloak, hair and face staring him down and waiting for him to make the first moveThe Bandit King''s scars were not just for show. He knew when someone was stronger than him and Bran''s glare gave that exact feeling. ''''Boy, ''aight, lemme just get mah gold. I''ll give ya anythin'' you want. Just tell me.'''' ''''Cows.'''' ''''Ey?'''' ''''Give me the cows.'''' ''''Oh uh, sure. umm. That''s it?'''' ''''Yes.'''' ''''Okey then.''''
For the first time since his remodelling, Bran smiled. A large sack hung from his back carrying the butchered meat and seven cows of varying ages. Due to the rain, it was hard to get to the village as his sense of direction was slightly obstructed by the downpour. When Bran arrived at the Village''s edge, he tied the cows to a part of the fence and went to the largest hut that gave off light. He entered and saw the villagers huddled in the center where coal was carefully being burnt. ''''I got the cows'''' Bran said. ''''Oh my Goddess!, are you hurt?'''' the elder said. Bran was covered in blood and mud from his face to the soles of his feet. ''''Ah, no. The blood isn''t mine. At least most of it isn''t, I think.'''' Bran dropped the sack in front of the Elder. ''''I''m hungry, cook it.'''' The village''s best cook took initiative and peeked inside the bag. ''''This was nicely butchered. No meat was wasted from the looks of it.'''' ''''Not my concern. Cook it.'''' The coal was strengthened to be able to cook the meat and they started grilling inside the large hut. The smell was pulling the other villagers in and to Bran, it was even more intoxicating. With the combination of the sweet, weakening smell and Bran''s already low Hp, he fell to the floor. Hearing the thud, the other villagers clamored onto him to check his condition. The Elder talked to him as he lay on the floor. ''''I''ve decided.'''' ''''Yes, traveler?'''' ''''From now on, you are all mine.'''' Bran uttered his final words before going to sleep for the first time. He may have abnormally high health points, the coldness of a dead snake''s corpse, and the hard headedness of a Pachycephalosaurus but every being needs rest. His first time sleeping was warm, despite the harsh rain. ''''Goodnight, traveler.'''' To Save A Town Bran woke up inside a room made mostly of wood. The smell of tea and old bark permeated inside the room. His clothes were replaced with normal villager¡¯s attire and he was given brown leather shoes. He walked to the door and opened it to see the Elder drinking his tea with a slightly younger villager. ¡®¡¯Ah, Good morning, traveler. Please, have some tea.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Thank you¡¯¡¯ Bran nodded He sat next to the two and was poured his own cup of tea. ¡®¡¯Forgive the quality of the tea, our village is quite poor.¡¯¡¯ Bran sniffed the aroma of the tea and was soothing his mind and relaxing his body. He tried to remember what that smell was but the information just wasn¡¯t there. Bran just closed his eyes and kept taking the scent in, not even touching the tea. ¡®¡¯Traveler, may I ask your name? Though I would understand if you are hiding it for some reason. We will not pry.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Bran, my name is Bran.¡¯¡¯ he replied The two men flinched. ¡®¡¯I see, quite an unusual name, hohoho.¡¯¡¯ The old man laughed. ¡®¡¯Anyway, let us move to the more important topic which is also the reason I brought this man you see here to meet you.¡¯¡¯ Bran opened his eyes to look at the other man. ¡®¡¯Is it important?¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯It concerns the very survival of this village.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Is it the cows?¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Afraid not, it is your words ¡®you are all mine¡¯. When someone of your power says it then it becomes something that could dictate the fate of our future. That is why my son here, Freight. He is the supposed heir for the next village chief.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯And?¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Do you really intend to own this village?¡¯¡¯ The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. ¡®¡¯Have I not said it clear enough?¡¯¡¯ Instantly, the two villagers prostrated themselves, heads on the ground pleading. ¡®¡¯I give up my status as heir, Milord. I have but one request. Please, save our village.¡¯¡¯ Freight spoke, his voice shaky and tears dripping down to the wooden floor. ¡®¡¯Is the village in danger?¡¯¡¯ The village elder explained their situation. ¡®¡¯Our village is on the edge of the Holy Empire¡¯s border and just miles from what was once Demon Territory. We established our village here to avoid the unjust taxes from our previous Lord¡¯s reign. When we couldn¡¯t pay, they made family members into slaves without mercy. The taxes were raised for the war with the Beast Country; Bj?rn. In the end, we cannot return as we will be considered fugitives. The land here will not yield crops since it is near Demon Territory and we believe it to be cursed. We cannot go even near back to where we came from. I was at my wit¡¯s end. Bandits and rogues and the lot were picking on us, taking our food as they wished, using us as a food source.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯So that Lord person has slaves?¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Yes, hiding in the shadow of the Holy Empire he can get away with any crime if doing so in the name of God.¡¯¡¯ Bran closed his eyes once more and rolled strands of his hair around his finger while he was thinking. ¡®¡¯That somehow feels annoying.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Pardon?¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Someone else having slaves is annoying.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯.....¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Let¡¯s go kill the Lord.¡¯¡¯ Freight and the Previous Elder popped up in shock. ¡®¡¯Milord Bran, no disrespect but the military power of a Lord is levels above the Bandits you have fought. If you intend for us to fight alongside you, I¡¯m afraid we have no people that can fight. It will be suicide. To risk our extermination from your whim, even if you are our lord that might be a little-¡¯¡¯ Bran stood up and waved his hand in front of him ¡®¡¯No no no no, I¡¯m not doing it from a simple whim. When we invade their territory, you will have a new place to stay so it¡¯s completely reasonable¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Still, we have no military might. It¡¯s not strange for us to lose no matter how we come about this invasion of yours. And we risk the Holy Empire purging us for treason if word gets out.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯That¡¯s not a problem if we don¡¯t leave any witnesses, right?¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Huh?¡¯¡¯ The father and son both realized that they might have given their village to someone not as wise as he was strong. With only his whims to cater to, Bran got ready to set out and invade the city of Strutol. In another realm watching down on Bran. Fausk was concerned with how Bran¡¯s personality was developing. A being that runs on their will to follow their selfish whims is bound to fall apart in due time. He looked at Derus and expressed his concerns strongly. ¡®¡¯Fausk, this being; Bran.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯What about him?¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯He has a destiny that is bound to upset the balance of the world. Either for peace or chaos, it will tip the fragile balance.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Didn¡¯t you tell me he was going to be a hero.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯Yes, I did but I did not say whose hero he will become.¡¯¡¯ ¡®¡¯WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY TH--!¡¯¡¯ The doors in the observation room burst open and someone entered. ¡®¡¯Meruph?¡¯¡¯ Fausk said recognizing the angelic appearance ¡®¡¯God Fausk, God Derus, you are being called by the Alpha regarding the Games. You are both late for the meeting and despite being an Elder God. Sir Derus, Alpha has expressed his intentions that even you are not exempt from the consequences.¡¯¡¯ Derus ran for the Door with his eyes wide and his heart pumping faster than ever before and his Himation fluttered as he ran. Fausk calmly followed and proceeded to the meeting. In what looked like a corporal meeting room, Fausk and Derus with ten more deities sitting in their places. The alpha still not in the room. Smoke started to rise from the end of the desk and like a switch being flipped, all of the gods that were talking stopped and fixed their postures. ¡®¡¯In his glory, I present you: The Alpha¡¯¡¯
