"What is this place anyway? Is this some kind of Ancient Altar Ruins? " Looking around the vicinity, based on my previous impression of this place, I think this is a ¡®Summoning Altar¡¯. Let''s call this place like this. Is this used to summon me? Huh? That doesn''t make any sense. This place looks old as hell. Me being summoned using this place can''t be the reason why I''m here, right? All I remember before going here is me going to sleep after my, you know, very interesting life of watching and reading marathon of anime, manga and novels in my room. But the last thing I did was play [Fantasy End] before sleeping. Please don''t criticize me for being a failure in the society! That''s how a majority of Another World Protagonists tend to be, right!? I mean look at me right now! I''m not patting myself in the back, ok...... Wait, what exactly am I wearing? "Umm, Am I really some kind of a Protagonist that will save the world?" What¡¯s with this end game-type equipment? Right now I''m wearing a crimson-blood colored [Knight Mail Armor}. It has reptilian-like red scales all over it. It has a bright red gem stone decorated in the middle of the chest part. The shoulder pads also have some decorative gems in them and carvings that look like a dragon. The armor has golden lines that run in between each part that gives it a more elegant decorative aura. There also this cape like thing that''s hanging in my back right connected only to the right shoulder pads. The [Trousers] I''m also wearing were partnered with my armor. This too has a crimson red tinge in its color. The golden linings are designed here too. It looks like it''s made from a hide with plenty of scales of a reptilian creature or something like that. On my back hangs a huge thick silver [Knight Shield] ornamented with a golden linings. Just that, these gold linings is thicker and wider. Well that makes sense if it''s for defending, I guess? Actually if you look at the shield in certain angles, there is a tinge of rainbow colors coated in the shield. Sheathed in my back with the shield is a [Great Sword], if that is what it¡¯s called because of its size. I don''t know the classification of real life swords, okay!? The blade itself is 2 meter in length. The blade looks exactly like a crystal because of its blue tinge color but it doesn''t look fragile at all. It has a handle that have runes carved in it but it doesn''t take away the comfortable feeling when handling the Sword. The golden hand guard has elegant decorations but doesn''t look extravagant at all. There are also 4 small gems on the hand guard. In the middle of the hand guard is a four colored large gemstone that gives a out a holy aura. I don''t know how to explain it, but it''s more of a feeling than seeing. In my head is a crystalline [Circlet] with a gem in the middle. You can see through it but I guess it is sturdy as the crystal doesn''t look breakable at all. For the last pieces of my equipment are the pairs of [Gauntlets] in my hands and the pair of [Grieves] in the feet. They look identical as if the two pair of equipment is meant to be worn at the same the time. The soft metal skin is grayish but it doesn''t look dirty at all. This is that kind of another world troupe. You know that some novels where they get transported in there in-game character? Yes it''s like that. This is the last equipment my character wore in the game [Fantasy End]. I''m not really sure about my appearance but I assume that my built is not the one I have in Earth. My view is a little bit taller and I feel my body is fully stacked with hard muscles but it doesn''t give out a bodybuilder type of feelings. I''m still pretty average in regards to being thin. I guess my height right now should be 185-190 cm. The skin I have in Earth is pale white because of not going outside frequently, but looking in my skin here, a very healthy white skin. Using the distorted reflection on the shield I can say that my hair right now is platinum blond. I still can''t see my appearance using the shield because of the shieldscurve distorted reflection. [Fantasy End] is a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Mass Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). It has a very clich¨¦ like story of defeating the main villain. The villain was known as the [Evil Spirit King ? Chaos]. Because of the[Miasmafication] of the [Holy Land ? Spirheim] where he resided in is the cause of him becoming the villain. He was considered formerly as the [Spirit King ? Messiah], and was basically the God of the [Fantashiem], the name of the world where the game is set in. And along with the [Great Spirits] elements, that''s also slowly being consumed by the [Miasmafication]. My objectives are to release the [Miasmafication] of the [Great Spirits] for them to be able to create the [Key] item that I''ll be using to defeat the source of the [Miasmafication] of the [Great Spirits], the [Evil Spirit King ? Chaos]. This is just the Main Story, but this is just one of many [Quest Routes] you can finish. The Game [Fantasy End] was very vast and free. It was actually a very nice game because of how broad it is despite its simple story. To be honest this game became part of my life for about 3 years trying to complete all [Quest Routes] to really be satisfied that I really finished the game. So if the case that the character I have in the game is me right now, then..... "I should have a game like HUD if that''s the case, right? Should I just imagine it appearing in front of me? This is actually kinda scary now that it''s finally sinking in to me". Imagining my In-Game Character details to appear, a holographic transparent screen suddenly appeared in front of me. Messiah [Fantasy End] is a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) with a fantasy setting where it has all kinds of typical fantasy tropes a fantasy game can offer. But what makes this game so popular is the detail given to this game is absurd. The details on how the game mechanics and how the systems work are so elaborate that there¡¯s not a single bug found after the game was release. The company that developed this game is actually shrouded in mystery. And one thing that¡¯s also amazing is how the story in the game progressed. The setting here is that the world named [Fantashiem] is being ruled by the [Spirit King ? Messiah], the King of all spirits and was the one that manage and watch over the balance of the mana that¡¯s circulating the whole world. He is basically a ¡®God¡¯. But because of the technological advances of the Races, the use of modern technologies that abuses the mana and the Spirits themselves caused the ¡®Miasmafication¡¯ of the circulating Mana all around the world that¡¯s being manage by the Spirits, which are then ruled by the Spirit King. Because of this, the world is slowly being infected by the ¡®Miasmafication¡¯. It will now make the mana all over the world to be pure again. But this comes with a price. To avoid the Races to do the same thing again, the Spirit King will materialized to become a [Equipment] that the player can equip as a catalyst for the a ritual that will make the soul of the protagonist be bound to the Spirit King himself, the [Soul Contract]. The protagonist will shoulder the responsibility for the mistake the Races have done in the past and will become immortal himself to manage the balance of the world together with the Spirit King, making the protagonist a Demi-God that will watch over the world. ¡­¡­.Or so, that how it should be. Because right now, that said protagonist is celebrating in the middle of an altar ruins making the Spirit King that was bounded to the protagonist soul confused, which made the Spirit King ask. I don¡¯t know what [Soul Contract] you¡¯re talking about. Where exactly are you anyway?¡± ¡°¡­¡­Young One, You are not making any sense; ¡­..Ok, to answer you, I¡¯m currently in the form of the [Spirit Kings Holy Sword ? Great Ragnarok] as a catalyst to the ritual when we did the [Soul Contract] that binds us together with the destiny of you taking responsibility for the future of humankind. To elaborate, after defeating Chaos, there is this cut scene that plays that show how the ritual of [Soul Contract] takes place. The catalyst will take the form of the last weapon equipment type you use to defeat Chaos, which in my case is a [Great Sword]. After the cut scene you will be summoned back to the ground exiting the Spirits Holy Lands and resume the game gaining all the rewards after completing the [Main Story Quest Route]. ¡°Ummm¡­¡­ Sir Messiah, is that right? This carvings is different as to what [Fantashiem] have. Even I know all kinds of [Mana Rune Language] and [Magic Formation Overlay], but this Ancient Ruins have its own way of using the carvings and its own rune language. That means I¡¯m still far away from it. This ¡®DragonEye Plains¡¯ has the land span equivalent to the size of South Korea from one bottom end to the other side. Every individual mountain in the Mountain Ranges is as big as Mt. Everest, if not higher. And right now, after utilizing my [Job] as a [Ninja Assassin] to focus on speed to get out of this wide green open plains just to get near to the Mountain Ranges, are surrounded by three dead corpse of ¡®Wyverns¡¯ that¡¯s blocking the sunset, as to prove how big this individual ¡®Monsters¡¯ are. With the look in my eyes staring directly to the Floating Orb, namely Messiah, I asked about the thing about these Plains not having any ¡®Monsters¡¯. He answered while being flustered. ¡°W-Well, I¡¯m not technically the one that said that these Plains don¡¯t have ¡®Monsters¡¯. It¡¯s Wendy that said it, I just delivered what this Spirit wanted to convey to you because you can¡¯t communicate with this Spirit yet.¡± He had a valid argument, but why does it sound like his just making excuses and blaming others, considering he¡¯s a God and the other party is basically his kin, a very low class too. And if you don¡¯t realize who Wendy is, it¡¯s the name of the [Lower Wind Spirit]. ¡°Hahh¡­. Let¡¯s set up the camp first. It¡¯s getting dark now. If you have any idea on why we were being attacked by ¡®Monsters¡¯ these past few days, don¡¯t hesitate to explain it to me after I finished eating. I¡¯m tired, I want to relax soon~.¡± I signed as I express my feelings in regards to the current situation. The Floating Island, or should I call it a ¡®Floating Country¡¯ because I just realized how big it is, was nowhere to be seen in the horizon. It has already left these Plains days ago and was currently drifting away in the Northern Plateau right now. ¡°Yes, I Understand¡± *Swoosh *Swoosh Messiah acknowledged what I just said and Wendy just flickered a little bit and let a bit of a gust as to agree to what I said. This all happened because of my naivety after checking my abilities while walking away from the Temple, and became overconfident that I can get out of here fast without encountering any problems. ***** Several days ago, Carlos von Alexandros, the name Maki decided to use in this world, was training while in the journey to get out of the [DragonEye Plains]. He first trained his overwhelming physical capabilities. He can run so fast and tirelessly. Jumping over 20 meters above ground is not an issue. Pulverizing a huge boulder by punching it using only his bare hands is easy. He was doing all this without any backlash to his mental capabilities and senses. It should have been weird for a normal person that can only do what a normal person is capable of, let alone a shut-in NEET, to do all of these inhuman activities without any backlash. He should¡¯ve been dizzy when moving so fast or have the instinctive fear of heights when falling down, but all of this is not being experienced by Carlos. This should be thanks to his high [Senses] and [Mind] stats but he is not aware of this case. After getting used to his physical capabilities, it was now the time to check what he was the excited about. His [Abilities], or to be exact, it¡¯s [Magic]! He first tried the most basic of [Magic Spells] that was default when you select any magic related [Job] and it was the [Magic Spell] [Fire Bolt]. After doing some tinkering using the [Abilities] window, he was able to cast [Fire Bolt]. Suddenly a red-glowing magic circle with the diameter of about 20 inches appeared in front of him. It was then that a small crimson orb suddenly flew out of the magic circle and then hit the ground 20 meters away before being swallowed by flames. Carlos found out that using the [Abilities] window was inefficient when casting the Spell. It was at this part that Messiah found it weird that Carlos was using the [Abilities] windows, or ¡®Records¡¯ as recognized by Messiah, to cast spells. ¡°Young One, I thought you were utilizing the [Soul Contract] to be able to chantlessly invoke the spells.¡± ¡°Can I do it without using the windo¡­ I mean the ¡®Records¡¯ and chants?¡± ¡°I can do it, so I thought you can do it too because of the [Soul Contract], but I¡¯m not sure now because I¡¯m not your Race.¡± Even though Messiah is the one that manage the circulation of mana, and the same time, the ¡®Record¡¯, he was still not a library of the information. If he has the authority to view the ¡®Records¡¯ of this world, he should¡¯ve just check it and get the information and then tell it to Carlos but Messiah is not in the [Fantashiem] right now. It is the same with these worlds ¡®Records¡¯, as Messiah doesn¡¯t have the authority over it yet. ¡°How should I know the chant of every spell I have?¡± ¡°How can you not know? You¡¯ve been using it all this time¡± Using spells in the game [Fantasy End] doesn¡¯t require you to chant in your VR gear. You just needed to activate the preselected spells, wait for the chant to channel then the magic will activate. This concept is ignored as what important is that having a spirit related job cost less mana. ¡°Ok Wendy, Cast [Wind Slice]!¡± *Swoosh *Swoosh! *Slash!! There is a delay, which should be the channeling time before Wendy activated a magic circle similar to [Fire Bolt], but this time it¡¯s green then a sound of wind slicing was shot out to the area where the [Fire bolt] was shot out earlier. ¡°Oh! He practiced not only his [Magic], he also practiced his other abilities such as [Skills] and [Techniques]. He also tried to familiarize himself with his mountain of equipments and items that¡¯s compatible with his four [Jobs]. This was happening without any monster interference until the current day. ¡°Young One, those flying ¡®Monsters¡¯. Aren¡¯t they coming this way?¡± ¡°Shit! Those are ¡®Wyverns¡¯ right!?¡± *Swoosh! *Swoosh! ¡°You can just defeat them, why are you panicking?¡± ¡°Ah! Whatever! Hey! Messiah, help me if I¡¯m in a pinch ok!?¡± And that¡¯s how Carlos fought with the three ¡®Wyverns¡¯ with him right now focused on the job [Ninja Assassin], He was running to get out of the [DragonEye Plains] fast, but because of this, he was in a little bit of disadvantage because of how big the ¡®Wyverns¡¯ are, and their ability to fly while he was only using a [Dagger]. But the long time of training did pay off as he fought with the ¡®Wyverns¡¯. Maybe because Carlos looked small and weak or because he only wore black thin equipments, the ¡®Wyverns¡¯ didn¡¯t take advantage of their ability for flying and just landed around Carlos as they surrounded him while having the eyes that have the looks of hungry beast. Little did they know that the equipment Carlos wore were a set equipment of [Legend] grade that specializes in [Ninja] related ¡®Abilities¡¯. ¡°[Blind Flash Jutsu]!¡± Carlos used some strange hand gestures to cast a [Ninjutsu Technique] that blinded the enemy around him with Carlos as the center. The ¡®Wyverns¡¯ lost their visions and started to panic. They unfolded their wings to fly in the sky but before they could do that Carlos did another thing. ¡°[Shadow Manipulation Jutsu]!¡± Carlos then manipulated their shadow making the ¡®Wyverns¡¯ lose their control over their body. The ¡®Wyverns¡¯ just stood there and this was to last thing the ¡®Wyverns¡¯ remembered. Carlos activated an [Assassin] active buff skill [Killing Edge]. This skill can triple the damage it inflicts to enemies that has their body under any abnormal condition. In this case, the enemy is under manipulation. ¡°[Killing Edge]!¡± Coating his [Dagger], which is a [Legend] grade too, in a deadly red aura as to confirm that [Killing Edge] actually activated, he attacked the unmoving ¡®Wyverns¡¯ neck one by one and severing them, making it separated from their body. The [Dagger] should have been short but with the help of the skill and Carlos overwhelming [Stats] advantage, he made it possible. The ¡®Wyverns¡¯ shouldn¡¯t really have been Carlos enemies as it is only a B ranked monster in terms of ranking in [Fantasy End]. And with this, Carlos first ever battle had ended in his overwhelming victory, even while he was nervous for facing ¡®Monster¡¯ for the first time. ***** ¡°You say it is strange that ¡®Monster¡¯ really did show up here in [DragonEye Plains]?¡± *Swoosh! *Swoosh! I can still feel it now that the Mana gives more and more of a clear feeling. ¡°This place didn¡¯t have a high concentration of Mana for a long time now. That is why Wendy who was living here was still an ¡®Infant Wind Spirit¡¯ even after being here for a long time now. She just evolved when the Mana Concentration started to rise. And the reason why this place shouldn¡¯t have any ¡®Monsters¡¯ is because of that. ¡®Monster¡¯ doesn¡¯t like places where there is no high concentration of Mana. Mana for ¡®Monsters¡¯, especially [Magic Creatures] is like what is air for human.¡± ¡°Oh, so it¡¯s like that. It can also be called as clearing out pest~ isn¡¯t it killing two birds with one stone.¡± After spending a night using the [Magic Cottage], the journey continued but with the addition of using the encountered ¡®Monsters¡¯ as training partners and experimental subjects for my development. Not only ¡®Wyverns¡¯ showed up. There¡¯s a large variety of ¡®Monsters¡¯, and they all came from the Mountain Ranges. There¡¯s weird looking, huge, brown Goblins, Blood-colored Orcs, Twin-headed Ogres, 4-5 meters giant Werewolves, Dinosaur-sized Stone Lizards and more. We noticed that these ¡®Monsters¡¯ are not only going in the [DragonEye Plains]. They are running away from the Mountain Ranges. The reason for this is obvious, as the Mountain Ranges are the territories of the ¡®Wyverns¡¯ and it is said that they are being led by a ¡®Dragon¡¯. I continued improving my familiarity with my abilities, with some advises from Messiah, and the adorable comfort from Wendy. Then another week has passed. I¡¯m now standing at the very foot of the first Mountain in the Mountain Ranges that is the ¡®Wyverns¡¯ territory. The moment I take a foot on this territory, I take a look at my [Activity Log] and [Mini-Map] window. ¡°[Istreadore Mountains Ranges] huh¡­. That sounds cool, isn¡¯t it?¡± And another long journey will commence again to get past these mountains where these individual mountains are as high as Mt. Everest, or will it? Chapter 006 – Istreadore Mountains Ranges ¡°[Inventory] sure is convenient. All the loots he got from all the ¡®Monster¡¯ sure is something. Not only have I experimented with my [Abilities] using them, I also looked forward to what I can get as loot from them. You can¡¯t really technically call them loot the same with the game, as what I get from them is literally what they have. Unlike in the game when I kill a ¡®Monster¡¯, for example an ¡®Orc¡¯, I get a chance represented by percentage to get a meat, blood, skin, hide or any parts of its body as an ingredient items and any equipment the ¡®Orc¡¯ was using. I basically get 2 loots every ¡®Monster¡¯ kills, sometimes more if I was lucky. What I¡¯ve got from all the kills I did in this place was what I should be getting if I really killed someone. I get everything from them starting with a ¡®Corpse¡¯, which is categorized as an [Item], and all their [Items] and [Equipments]. So, because of all the heard of ¡®Monster¡¯ I¡¯ve killed, my [Inventory] right now is overflowing with loots. ¡°I feel like I have the [Job] [Scavenger] hidden in my [Status], but a cheat-class one.¡± Scavenger is a [Job] that can improve all related things you can get after battles. Increase in getting more loot or additional chances of getting an [Achievement] and [Title]. ¡°Young One, I¡¯ve been suspecting things but you really are very familiar on how the ¡®Records¡¯ of [Fantashiem] works. It is intriguing.¡± Well, playing it for more than three years would really make you know how the Game works. What you can only tame is [Magic Creatures]. ¡°The [Monsters] here don¡¯t have any Miasma but they can¡¯t be considered as [Magic Creatures] too. It¡¯s kind of confusing.¡± [Magic Creatures] are naturally born from the Mana around so they don¡¯t need to reproduce as they are naturally increasing their number. We are at least a hundreds of meters above the ground so it just shows how powerful this Breath Attack is. I feel my body raise in temperature as I was quite near to the Breath, but it doesn¡¯t made any harm to me. I was currently equipped for Magic-related equipment as to boost my efficiency for the [Flight] Magic Spell. I change to Combat-related equipment that will boost my [Job] [Holy Sword Saint] as this was integrated from the pinnacle of combat-related [Job] [Sword King]. Just after I finished changing, the HellFire finally dissipated revealing a severely burnt scales and flesh of Lam¡¯gurd. RROOAAARR!!!* ¡°HOW! How can you invoke a Magic that¡¯s comparable to the Gods! Ugh¡­¡± I didn¡¯t reply and just watch carefully if Lam¡¯gurd will do something. I believe a Dragon like him will not let something like this happen to himself while not taking revenge. Being sensitive to Mana sure is convenient as I confirmed that he used the surrounding Mana to reinforce and slowly regenerate his body. He then charge at me using his enormous body with his mouth open trying to bite me and rip me apart. He might be thinking that his at disadvantage for long ranged combat as I let him experience firsthand what Magic Spells I¡¯m capable of. But that¡¯s where his wrong. As Lam¡¯gurd charged, I also charge at him but using my small stature to my advantage. I moved around nimbly, zigzagging my way to his huge body. I let the weapon I switched to, which was a natural enemy of the Dragons, the [The Dragon Slaying Sword ? Ascalon] to dance around the body of Lam¡¯gurd. He tried to bite me, but failed as I utilized my natural agility as a Sword Master and adding my ability as an Elite Ninja and Cruel Assassin at the same time. Even if my equipment is for my Sword-related Job, it doesn¡¯t mean that I can¡¯t use the abilities of my other [Jobs]. I used the Buff Skill of [Holy Sword Saint] [Blessed Blade] that coated my Sword with white, holy lights then added the buff Skill of [Ninja Assassin] [Haste] that coated my whole body with a transparent red film layer. With the additional attack power and speed, the biting, slashing and pounding of Lam¡¯gurd was all avoided. With the accumulating wounds all over its body, Lam¡¯gurd was trashing as if he had gone berserk. Lam¡¯gurd started to invoke Buff Magic to its own body one after another and then use all kinds of offensive magic it can shoot to me. Fire, Lightning, Lava and Laser beams, all kinds of Fire-related Magic Spells was shot towards me while I keep attacking Lam¡¯gurd and accumulate wounds all over his body. I just ignored and let the small offensive spells hit me as it will be defended by the [Void Area], my natural defense from my stats and passive magic attributes resistance. I also used all kinds of [Magic Spells], [Skills] and [Techniques] to make Lam¡¯gurd weak and break his willpower and stop his arrogance to towards me. It was noticeably weaker compared to earlier but it was still fatal if not defended properly. But to me, it was a child¡¯s play to defend this now as it was used to me the second time. I just let my hand lift a little as to gesture that I will defend the Dragon Breath with just the palm of my hands. The Breath the collided with me and then another small earthquake and shockwaves happened again everywhere around me. Lam¡¯gurd was so surprised as to what he was seeing as I looks like that was just catching the Breath with my hands as it collided with me. Lam¡¯gurd has the look of despair and shame as he looked to me like he was facing something that he feared the most. I made it looked like, that I just caught the Breath only using my bare hands, but I actually utilized the [Void Area] that cannot be seen to make it looked like I was catching the Breath by hands. And then the Dragon Breath dissipates with a short silence. I looked to Lam¡¯gurd that was so injured that the majestic look he had earlier was like a joke. Then I spoke. ¡°You sure didn¡¯t listen to me earlier. Look what happened to you.¡± ¡°¡­..¡± He didn¡¯t reply to what I said. He just has the look of someone that already admitted defeat. ¡°I just want you to do something for me. This game have so many Titles that I¡¯m not even sure if I already seen every Title ever. It even has Titles that is straight up useless or even ones that harms you. I already experimented using my Titles while I was in the Plains. When I arrived in this world, all my Titles were inactive and grayed out. It was at the time that I just exited the Temple that I tried to activate a Title. It was the Title [Muscle Head] that increases your strength-related stats while lowering your magic-related and production-related stats. It didn¡¯t really make any changes, as I tried punching a boulder. It had the same result with me not activating [Muscle Head]. This should¡¯ve been obvious and I was criticized by Messiah. Its ok thought, I was comforted by my cute little Wendy. But when I encountered an Orc, I tried to activate the Title [Orc Slayer]. It has the effect of enhancing the damages you deal to Orcs and inflicts random Mental Abnormality to them such as Fear, Confusion, Panic and others. And the result¡­ It was highly effective. The Orcs I encountered with the [Orc Slayer] active always have Mental Abnormality afflicted to them just as they saw me. For me to harm the ones that we are supposed to support is huge shame that will forever taint my name. I can accept any compensation and do anything if it¡¯s within my ability.¡± Look at this gigantic Dragon bowing his head almost burying it in the ground. Now I feel guilty for using him as a guinea pig for my experimentations. But, well~ everything¡¯s good so I¡¯m not going to say anything. ¡°No, we¡¯re sorry too. This is your territory and we just barged in just like that. I just want to know more about this world, and if ever we could find the reason of us coming here and also if there¡¯s any way for us to come back.¡± Yes! This World is called ¡®Atoria¡¯; a world governed by the Seven Gods of Races.¡± Chapter 009 – The Dracoia Continent After taking care of everything that happened around us, we restored the destructions and crater-filled lands with broken forestry to make the place look more decent. We just filled the hollowed lands, collected the tree logs and uprooted the broken tree trunks and piled them to one side and completely incinerated them. Lam¡¯gurd said that it¡¯s okay because it will grow back in the future. Me, Messiah along with Wendy sat to the side of the camp that we¡¯ve set up in the barren part of the foggy forest along with the lying, huge body of the Lam¡¯gurd who¡¯s resting. Then Lam¡¯gurd started to talk. ¡°Atoria is a World governed by the Seven Gods of Races. It has many continents and we are in a continent named ¡®Dracoia Continent¡¯ that is under the authority of the one that I serve as my Lord God, Dragon God ? Shelzard.¡± Uwah~, that sounds like a foreshadowing that would make troublesome events to happen if ever I get involve. ¡°That¡¯s right! I remember that when we came here, we were inside a temple in the middle of the plains away from here. Do you know anything about that place?¡± It would be suspicious if we know name of the temple when we just arrived here. I¡¯m not sure if the [Game System] existed in this world too, but base on my conversation with Lam¡¯gurd, it seems that¡¯s not the case. ¡°That place is called ¡®Dragon God ? Shelzards Temple. It was built by the Races Civilization of that time on the only place that was part of the ¡®Dragon Holy Lands¡¯ that was accessible by the Races a long time ago.¡± Oh, so this place had a civilization here. ¡°What¡¯s the ¡®Dragon Holy Lands¡¯, we didn¡¯t encounter any city ruins or civilization on the way here, is this civilization a little more distance away here?¡± This ¡®Dragon Holy Lands¡¯ probably the Plateau in the North, the huge ocean bodies in the west and the vast barren lands in the South when I just got out of the temple in the DragonEye Plains. It really is not accessible by anyone by looking at what I saw in the [Mini-Map] even if it was opened by the Dragons at that time. ¡°The ¡®Dragon Holy Lands¡¯ was the lands that was ones blessed by our Lord God Shelzards himself. I was only a Lesser Dragon at that time when these lands were a home to the majority of the Dragons who roams this world. And only the DragonEye Plains, which is the name of the place you have arrived to, was opened to the Races that have ones lived just outside of the Istreadore Mountain Ranges, which was the natural boundary that separates the Dragon Holy Lands and the Civilization at that time.¡± Ah! So this civilization is only after I got out of these mountain ranges. Maybe Lam¡¯gurd is something like a guardian that guards the entrance to this Holy Lands. ¡°The civilization you¡¯re talking about is only after this last mountain, right? They¡¯re the ones that built that temple there. Why¡¯s the temple so far away from the civilization.¡± ¡°Elder Dragon Lam¡¯gurd, may I also ask what happened to this civilization and to the Dragons in ¡®Dragons Holy Lands¡¯?¡± Messiah also asked Lam¡¯gurd. The name of this civilization is the Kingdom of Alandal and I am sorry to inform you that I am not very familiar with Alandal. By the time that this Kingdom was at its peak, I am only a Lesser Dragon that resides within the DragonEye Plains. Even though it was my home, I still didn¡¯t have any contact to the civilization at that time and didn¡¯t care about the temple they¡¯ve built there. ¡° Yeah~, and because of your pride, it didn¡¯t get you to give us any helpful information at all. ¡°Alandal was a Kingdom that makes Lesser Dragon their companions to strengthen their military might. And the home to a majority of the Lesser Dragon at that time was the DragonEye Plains. But as I, a promising Lesser Dragon at that time, I cannot accept an inferior race becoming my companion and because of this, I don¡¯t know any useful information as to what exactly happened to Alandal and how it perished. All I know is that they have angered our Lord God Shelzard and brought upon an Apostle of our Lord to fully erase the Kingdom of Alandal from the history¡± Ahh~, that didn¡¯t really give us any useful information about our circumstances. And what¡¯s up with the tragic story, should every ancient civilization always have a dark background? ¡°And this all happened almost 1000 years ago. Like I said, I was only a Lesser Dragon at that time. After the destruction of the Kingdom of Alandal, majority of the Dragons left the Dragons Holy Lands and I was one of them. The Elder Dragons at that time didn¡¯t gave us the exact reasons why that event happened, but after I became a full pledge Dragon, I was appointed 500 years ago as a guardian of the one of entrances to the Dragons Holy Lands, which is this Istreadore Mountain Ranges¡± What!? All of that happened almost 1000 years ago? That shouldn¡¯t have any connection as to how we arrived here, right? That happened so long ago! And I think Lam¡¯gurd is saying the truth. Base on how he described the Evolution of Dragon. In [Fantasy End], the background story of how a Dragon naturally evolved is that after hatching, they become an Infant Dragon for 20 years, Then Lesser Dragon until they¡¯ve reached 200 years to fully become a full pledge Dragon. And after passing 1000 years, they become an Elder Dragon just like Lam¡¯gurd. ¡°What do you think, Messiah? I don¡¯t think this Kingdom of Alandal is the one responsible for us being here.¡± I know I might be jumping into conclusion, but with that time frame, I don¡¯t think it has any connection with us being here. ¡°I understand what you are thinking, Young One. But we can¡¯t rule out the fact that we¡¯ve arrived in a placed built by this Kingdom of Alandal. Shelzard, we also got to know the other six Gods that make up the Seven Gods or Races. The Dracoia Continent is under the Dragon God ? Shelzards authority, so does the other continents all over the world of Atoria. All the Gods have their own continent under their authority but not all continents were under the authority of Gods. It just shows how big Atoria is. And the bad sounding name of some Gods doesn¡¯t mean they¡¯re evil. It just that they¡¯re authority balanced the world to keep it out of destruction. We acquired such information about the possible countries within the Dracoia Continent that we can go to, and the most nearest country is just after a jungle past a line of mountains straight to the east. It is called the Avalon Kingdom. About the things with monsters we encountered, we learned from Lam¡¯gurd that there is no such thing as ¡®Miasma¡¯ in this world of Atoria. All of those that is categorized to have intelligence is called the ¡®Races¡¯ and the one that remains is called ¡®Creatures¡¯. ¡®Magic Creatures¡¯ can be either a ¡®Race¡¯ or a ¡®Creature¡¯ depends if it have any intelligence. And for the last part, ¡®Creatures¡¯ that use instincts to think is being categorized to two, ¡®Monsters¡¯ if it is harmful and have hostility to anyone or ¡®Animals¡¯ if it is useful and tamable to be used by the ¡®Races¡¯. It was at this part that I finally realized that this should have been solved if I just looked at the [Bestiary]. It was of course, Messiah who reminded me this and got criticized again because of it. Lam¡¯gurd was kind of confused as he didn¡¯t get what we were talking about and just explained that Messiah can just tell the differences of the life forms. The standard quality of the Race of Human, who is able to live by being a mercenary, can kill an Orc by himself. And I was told by Lam¡¯gurd that the Red Orcs, it was called Brutal Orcs, we encountered on the way here is a higher class compared to the normal Orc a human can kill. About the unusual phenomenon that happened in the DragonEye Plains, Lam¡¯gurd explained that he didn¡¯t know that the Mana Concentration of the whole Dragons Holy Lands, DragonEye Plains was a part of this, was slowly diminishing when he left and by the time he became a guardian, he just learned that the Mana Concentration on the whole Dragons Holy Lands finally disappeared. We told him that just a month ago the Mana Concentration began to fill the lands again. We came to the conclusion that this phenomenon was something related to us arriving in this world. But because we don¡¯t have any supporting evidence besides it started when we arrived, we will just make sure to include this in our investigation. As for what Wendy wanted to ask, the Dragon Holy Lands, this includes the DragonEye Plains, will have a high Mana Concentration again. The Spirits that roams around will be drawn to this place and Wendy wanted to let this Spirits live in this place for a while when there¡¯s no other Races, Magic Creatures or Creatures in it yet. Of course Lam¡¯gurd said yes and also promised to protect them as long as it is not too troublesome. And finally about the civilization that one¡¯s prevailed here will be on the way so we planned to check it for a while. We might at least get the slightest bit of useful information if we visit that place. It is a vast ruin of the kingdom that is covered by thick forestry. And it is only after the mountain we are on right now. And that is our destination right now. I was offered by Lam¡¯gurd that he will guide us the Ruins of the Kingdom of Alandal. Chapter 010 – The Ruins of the Ancient Kingdom of Alandal Chapter 010 ¨C The Ruins of the Ancient Kingdom of Alandal The Mountain Lam¡¯gurd uses as his lair were big. When we were about to get out of the Istreadore Mountain Ranges, Lam¡¯gurd asked if it is possible to come to his lair first as there would be useful treasure that we could use for our journey. And what do you say? It is because his a Dragon? They say that Dragons loved to collect things that were valuable and sparkling. And Lam¡¯gurd, as a 1002 years old Elder Dragon, it should be obvious what kinds and how many treasure he has. We¡¯re inside a huge cave that¡¯s hidden by the high altitude, vast forestry and thick fog from the entrance. With a huge opening of a sinkhole that could only be traverse by flying down, that¡¯s where Lam¡¯gurd resides. Even though we¡¯re underground, the huge dome shaped cave was bright with the glowing moss on the wall, and the clear running water that¡¯s the size of the river with its crystal clear mineral water was what we saw. Add the space in the corner that¡¯s impossible to not notice. It¡¯s a sea of treasures. ¡°I know that compared to other Elder Dragons, my treasury is nothing but small portions to them, but if ever that you find something interesting in my collection, I will be more than happy to provide it to you.¡± ¡­.This is only a small portion he says. ¡°Thank you Lam¡¯gurd. Don¡¯t worry! We¡¯re plenty enough thankful that we¡¯ve met. I¡¯ll just check what I could use within all this treasure.¡± ¡°What the Young One is saying is true, Elder Dragon Lam¡¯gurd. We are very thankful to have met you.¡± I know that the time we spent together is short, but like how Messiah started to understand me by instinct, I also understand how Messiah thinks now. He sure sounds holy, mature and wise but he really is just a cunning glowing piece of Orb. I clearly felt like he really was just using Lam¡¯gurd to get what we needed. ¡°I¡¯m honored to hear this from the Dragon Kings Descendant and his Greater Spirit Guardian. We didn¡¯t took any equipment or weapons as the highest ¡®Grade¡¯ we¡¯ve found were only ¡®Legend Grade¡¯, because our inventory were over flowing with Equipments and Items with this Grade. And if you¡¯re wondering how am I able to check the ¡®Equipments¡¯ and ¡®Items¡¯ details, I sure as hell don¡¯t have a skill, magic or technique such as appraisal. It is exclusive only for ¡®Production¡¯ type ¡®Jobs¡¯, but for some reason whenever I touched any items and recognized it as my own, the details will appear in the ¡®Game System¡¯. I guess that just how it as I¡¯m not able to view the details of other people in game but view mine, just like how the [Fantasy End] works. Satisfied with what we¡¯ve gotten we set off to the forestry that enveloped the richest civilization that one¡¯s ruled this lands. The Forgotten Forest, it is the name of the forest that enveloped the Kingdom of Alandal. ***** With the majestic, terrifying, huge built of Lam¡¯gurd, I feel like I¡¯m sitting in a small, red mass of flying land. With the pressure Lam¡¯gurd is excluding, the ¡®Creatures¡¯ that we would have encountered on the way, naturally avoided us and made way to make our travel time faster as if they were saying to get away from here as fast as possible. The steep descent from the top of the highest mountain to the entrance of the new forestry was quite trilling. If it was me in Earth I would have passed out. Messiah and Wendy were able to catch up with us. I understand how Messiah could do it, but it was a little surprising that Wendy can fly side by side with this two monsters. It was explained that even though Wendy is a Lesser Wind Spirit that can¡¯t exclude strong combat prowess, as a Wind Spirit, flying fast is only a basic activity to them as much as breathing air for humans. I was actually kind of amazed and ended up complementing Wendy which made her a little embarrassed. It also part that Wendy was just so cute~!Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. The Forgotten Forest was, as expected, also vast. We encountered what seem to be some Towns and City Ruins that could have been part of the Kingdom of Alandal. We checked them, along with Lam¡¯gurd to find some clues if ever there is one, but given that we don¡¯t have any ¡®Mining¡¯ or ¡®Exploring¡¯ type of ¡®Job¡¯, we ended up not finding any good clues or hints that could help us. This continued for 2-3 days until we found what seems to be that Capital City of the Kingdom of Alandal. With a triple walled City that was 30 meters high and 10 meters thick, it was without a doubt, a very safe city. With the largest and the vastest outer wall, it can be said that this is the Residential Area. Then the second inner wall where some fancy huge mansion ruins stands. It should be obvious that this is the Noble Area, and finally the Third inner wall where the old, huge, majestic castle was pointing its spiked roofs to the heavens. We encountered some city ruins and fortress ruins but all of those have something like 1 huge, thick walls or 2 standards wall to protect them, but this Capital City sure had invested great effort to the protection and development of the city. Makes you actually think what they did to anger a God to fully eradicate them from the canals of history. If you know that they were annihilated by the Gods then it will be unusual that there were no signs of war or destruction to the places we¡¯ve gone to, same with this Capital City. Lam¡¯gurd told us that it was an Apostle of the Dragon God who did the cleansing. I just concluded that it was not an Armageddon type of judgment, as it¡¯s more like a plague that made the Races of this Kingdom to die out. It¡¯s not like this is what actually transpired, but it will be very helpful for future investigation. Exploring the whole Capital City Ruins took almost half a day, and half of that was inside the Castle itself. Lam¡¯gurd then reminded me that all the treasure here was either already been acquired by Lam¡¯gurd himself or was already been robbed before Lam¡¯gurd was the Guardian of the Istreadore Mountain Ranges, which is the closest place here. With the vast ruins enveloped by forestry, creatures obviously made a habitat out of this place but our exploration was actually faster because of Lam¡¯gurd presence. Encountering them could actually be helpful as there many new creatures that I haven¡¯t encountered yet that was residing here, and there information could be added in the [Bestiary] for future references of this place. Well, it was not our priority and we could always come back here for the continuation of our investigation. We were quite disappointed that we didn¡¯t really get anything useful here, but we learned a lot while we were exploring alongside Lam¡¯gurd. Even though he didn¡¯t know much about the Kingdom of Alandal, he at least known the general information about this Kingdom and was able to give answers to the question in regards to some infrastructure or things that was standing out here. What can I say, for a Fantasy Kingdom, they¡¯re technology are quite advance. The mixture of some Magic and Science was the staple production process of this Kingdom. Unfortunately, a lot of this technology had withered up with the Kingdom itself and cannot function anymore. Some was kind of hard for Lam¡¯gurd himself to understand, but a lot of this technology resemble the ones from Earth. After the exploration we camped at the outskirt of the Capital City Ruins as Lam¡¯gurd could barely fit inside the Castle despite its size. We spent the night there and prepared our self for the departure tomorrow to finally start our journey to one of the Race Civilization in the Dracoia Continent. We enjoyed one last time the accompaniment of Lam¡¯gurd and ate with me, with Messiah and Wendy that also enjoyed the night and the stories of each of us before finally sleeping. And the morning of departure finally came. ***** ¡°Dragon Knight Carlos, it was a fulfilling experience to have met you. The journey of the two of us, even though was quite short, was very honoring for me, as one that guided the Dragon Kings Descendant to the right direction.¡± What are you, my teacher or master? But we need to familiarize our self with the ecology and the environment of this world. He then finally flew up and leaves the open area that can support the huge body of Lam¡¯gurd, and headed back to the top of the highest mountain to the direction of the Istreadore Mountain Ranges. ¡°Now then~, Let us start the long fun journey again~!¡± ¡°Umu¡± *Swoosh~! *Swoosh~! At the end of that day, we¡¯ve arrived outside the Forgotten Forest, and we¡¯ve reached the ¡®Wyverns Valley¡¯ to start the training experimentation all over again~. Chapter 011 – The Party of Race in the Wyverns Valley ¡¯With the source of all things that is inside me, using the Mana as my life-force, Give me the ability to manipulate wind, gravity and inertia and reign in the sky as it¡¯s king! But they are not approaching me and take their distances from me if ever that I was in a certain distance to them. ¡°Though they¡¯re using their instinct to think, they still know that they would be fucked if they meddle with me now. I didn¡¯t activate any Warding Magic right?¡± ¡°After the event with the Lam¡¯gurd, they have already accepted that you are stronger than Lam¡¯gurd. These Creatures still know the law of the jungle, huh. It¡¯s disappointing though, I can¡¯t practice and experiment~. ¡°After leaving this place, the place called ¡®Wyverns Valley¡¯ should be out of Lam¡¯gurd¡¯s territory. Some creatures there would surely be hostile to you as they will view you as a trespasser to their territory.¡± Umm¡­I¡¯ve been really feeling a bit creep out to Messiah. He¡¯s been reading my mind all this while now! How¡¯s he doing it!? ¡°You¡¯ve been very weird from the time we have arrived here, but you are still the Carlos that was like an open book. Don¡¯t worry about anything as I¡¯m not reading your mind at all.¡± Ahhh!~~ Swoosh* Swoosh* ¡­.. ¡­.. And after flying for a couple of hours, we arrived at the end of the forest at last, and arrived at a green Grand Canyon. Wait! Is this what you call Valley!? I¡¯ve never been to the Grand Canyon before, but this sure is the same no matter how you look around, it¡¯s just that it¡¯s a place filled with greenery. But the landscape is the same with what Grand Canyon looks like. Well, whatever. This place is small and we¡¯ll get out of here fast. ¡°Let¡¯s continue flying¡± ¡°Umu¡± Swoosh* There are several creatures that reside here. I can see some [Armorgoddo], a lizard two times the size of a crocodile that was coated with hard as steel leather plates all around its body. A [Lambgoat] that is two times the size of a mountain goat with a triple of its jumping power, and it have a thick fur as a natural armor with its pair of horns that¡¯s equal to bull, while having the speed of a cheetah. And of course, there¡¯s also the name of this place, a [Wyvern].This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. There as several other Creatures, but these three are the ones that most stands out as the strongest in this place. They¡¯re just mobs if they came to the Istreadore Mountain Ranges though. The Armorgoddos was not even paying attention to me when I passed one, but the Lambgoats was trying to jump into me when I try to flew passed them. Of course, they became my guinea pigs for experimentations. It¡¯s the same with the most numbered Wyverns that I encountered, as almost all of them were hostile to me. The Wyvern Valley was not vast. It was thin but long. It stretches from the north, down to the south that separates the Forgotten Forest and the Pighead Forest. It was a natural boundary. After a spending a night camp and the rising of the morning sun, we continued the journey as we near the end of the Wyverns Valley. And at the exit of the Wyverns Valley, near the entrance of the Pighead Forest, there was a happening I¡¯ve been longing for this long one month of loneliness. There was a party of Races that was battling a small Wyvern! ¡°Messiah! Look there! It¡¯s a party! A group of people! A member of intelligent being! A same creature as me! IT¡±S HUMANS!!!¡± ¡°Okay! I get it, Young One. Why are you so excited? They are battling quite fierce, aren¡¯t they? ¡°Let¡¯s help them then talk to them!¡± ¡°Wait Young One, you are being rash. Let¡¯s think and do this more efficiently¡± ¡°Oh! Right, sorry about that. I was just got carried away by loneliness.¡± I¡¯m not even sure if we can communicate with each other. Lam¡¯gurd told me that when he was talking to me using Telepathy, he was using a high leveled one that conveyed what he wants to say and the receiver will understand it to what he interprets it. Lam¡¯gurd might be using a different language when he spoke to me but I still understood him due to this special kind of Telepathy, which I don¡¯t know how to use by the way. ¡°Okay let¡¯s observe them for now¡± ¡°Umu¡± They are fighting the Wyvern with some impressing teamwork. They have a balanced party to be honest. And when I said they¡¯re all humans, I was wrong. They consist of 2 human races, 1 demi-human race and a fairy race. Based on their actions, all of them all have a beginner [Intermediate Job Class]. The 2 humans have the job of [Swordsman] and the other one is a [Guardian]. The fox demi-human was a [Priest] and the elf has a dual Job of being an [Sniper] and a [Wizard] at the same time. They have a system of lure-defend-attack pattern. The Guardian will aggro the Wyvern then the Swordsman will damage it little by little then the Elf will attacked via long ranged magic and arrows with the support healing of the Priest. The battle was consistent and the flow was flawlessly executed, it was just that, the battle took long. ¡°Well, I guess that this is the average when you¡¯re an Intermediate Class and fighting a B Ranked Monster. But this Wyvern is quite small compared to the others. Is this the right time limit kill this kind of Creature with their current level?¡± ¡°Young One, since when have you been this sharp when it comes to strategic planning and battle maneuvering? Ah, well in the game, for the later part of the Quest Routes, running straight without any plans will not get you anywhere. The phenomenon that happened in the Dragon¡¯s Holy Land started to impact the Dracoia Continent itself, as the rise of the Mana Concentration of the lands began to take its former glory, the same as thousands years ago in a mere one whole month. It might actually have a chance that it will overtake the amount it had. The roaming Spirits, same ones with the likes of Wendy, started to have their own small territory within the DragonEye Plains. The Creatures that Carlos encounter with, on the way to get out of the Plains, also have started to have their tribes or lair, not only inside the Plains, but also in the southern part of the Dragon¡¯s Holy Lands, the FireBreath Wastelands, and In the north, the HeadHorn Plateau, and lastly, in the west, the SerpentJaw Gulf. And not only that these Creatures have taken actions with this phenomenon, also, the one that governs the territory itself would obviously taken noticed to what had transpired inside his, the Dragon God ? We arrived by flying here before descending to the entrance of the forest, so we have seen how vast this Forest is. It¡¯s not that big, and we also got a glimpse of the City we¡¯re planning on heading to. We decided to just walk our way to the City, as we will definitely stand out if we arrived there floating in the sky. Well, we can just stealth our way while flying there, but where the fun doing that? ¡°There sure are weak monsters here huh. Maybe I should also downgrade the equipment I have now. I sure stand out with this.¡± ¡°I was sure that this equipment you have right now is what I recommend to not stand out, right Young One?¡± ¡°Yeah, but this are still a swordsman set of ¡®Epic¡¯ grade equipments. The monsters here are only F rank, with the highest at D ranked. ¡®Rare¡¯ grade equipments should do the job here.¡± What I have right now is a swordsman whole body set ¡®Epic¡¯ grade equipments. Also, my [Savage Bear ? Claw Edge] ¡®Epic ¡¯ grade sword sure have a unique design. Maybe I should also give the grade of equipments in [Fantasy End]. We have 7 Grades of equipments, this also apply to Items Grades too. We have [Common], [Rare], [Unique], [Epic], [Legend], [Mythic], and [Godly]. After taking an investigation task from the Adventurers Guild, and after four days of no progress, they finally found an ongoing operation of kidnappings, but they got found out after they have yet to report it to the Adventurers Guild, because the ¡®Red Head Mercenary Clan¡¯, one of the top ranking clan inside the Mercenary Guild, was able to take notice of this first, and decided to have them kidnapped by the Bandits along with the other kidnapped people from the Monmouth Fortress and some remote villages near it. It was then¡­. ¡°aaaAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!¡± ¡°What¡¯s happening!? I can¡¯t get out! Ahhh can¡¯t bre-!¡± ¡°I-I¡¯m dyin-!...¡± Just as the party, was about to make plans on fighting back, they heard the noises coming from the Bandits. ¡°Hey! What¡¯s happening!?¡± ¡°¡­Wha-!¡° ¡°!!¡± ¡°!?¡± After a short moment of loud noises from the agonizing bandits, the whole area became quiet afterwards. ¡°¡±¡±¡°¡­¡­¡­.¡±¡±¡±¡± Click* It was then, the prison cell the party was kept in had it lock unlocked. Not by a key, but having the lock cut in half. Tak* 4x It was then their cuffs on both their hand and feet that was cut in half. They then face each other and decided to take a look on what have happened. ¡°What in the name of Lord Shelzard happened here?¡± ¡°All the bandits¡­.¡± ¡°¡­.Are dead?¡± ¡°¡­.¡± What appeared were the corpses of all the bandits foaming in their mounts, lying dead on the floor. Even the infamous leader ¡®Shaded Blade ? Galmur¡¯ who¡¯s known to be comparable to an Advance B Ranked Adventurer, was in his desk, soaking in his own saliva and mouth foams with only the whites of his eyes showing. ¡°Check out the prisoners! Maybe we can save them!¡± ¡°¡±¡±Roger that!¡±¡±¡± After checking out everything, it seems that all the prisoners were safe. It was also the same with the prisoners on how they got out. There were 34 prisoners, along with his Party, a total of 38 people. They will be having a hard time protecting everyone if they just get out of the forest like that. They had all the loots that can be used and equipped everyone with the loots from the bandits to protect their selves. The prisoners were all citizen, but that doesn¡¯t mean they can¡¯t fight. The Adventurer Party also collected all evidence and documents about the relationship of the bandits and the mercenary clan. They then collected the corpses and burned them all. The head of the bandit¡¯s leader Galmur was collected, as a proof for collecting his bounty. ¡°The worst thing that could happen really does have the highest profit after getting over it. In this case, it really was a miracle¡± Said Lan, after confirming that everything was ready. ¡°Yeah, it was very weird. What was the reaction of the prisoners?¡± Alex asked. ¡°It¡¯s the same with us. They don¡¯t know what happened.¡± Vince confirmed. ¡°There¡¯s this little girl with the prisoners. Her mother said she can somehow feel the presence of Spirits. When all those things happened, the little girl said that the presence of Spirit was very high.¡± Roxy said while coming back when she heard what they¡¯re talking about. ¡°You¡¯re telling me that this was a Spirit¡¯s doing?¡± Lan asked. ¡°Not sure.¡± Roxy replied. It was then a two full day of journey inside the Pighead Forest. Fortunately enough, there were a scarce number of creatures in the middle of journey. What they only encountered were ¡®Goblins¡¯ walking alone, ¡®Pack Wolves Cubs¡¯ ,¡®Rush Boars Piglets¡¯, and no ¡®Orcs¡¯ at all after reaching the main highway towards the Fortress. It was fast here afterwards, and they¡¯ve successfully reached the Fortress. And there, Lan saw someone, standing in the gate of the fortress that faces the most dangerous forest, Pighead Forest. ¡°Why¡¯s the people behind you crying?¡± asked by the person standing in the gate. ***** I¡¯m in front of the gate now. ¡°I¡¯m under [Stealth] though.¡± ¡°You have to learn the language, Young One. You can then enter it again in a lawful way afterwards.¡± ¡°Yeah, I know. The people that were entering and exiting the gate were scarce. And the majority of this scarce people were Adventurers, Mercenaries and Soldiers or Knights. It seems like the Pighead Forest was quite dangerous for the people here, as it requires quite strong people to be entered. After entering the gate, what appeared was the very image of a medieval city landscape you could imagine. ¡°Young One, I suggest that you go directly to this City¡¯s Library and learn this continents language.¡± Messiah told to me telepathically. Checking the Mini-map in 3D mode, not that there any labels, there seems to be this infrastructure that have a lot of books inside it. I directly have my way to the Library as learning the language is priority right now. I can explore the city and investigate afterwards, as it¡¯s easier if I know how to talk to people. The building was like a historical monument that¡¯s preserved well. It is still currently being used though. After ignoring all the interesting things all around me, and all different kinds of races here, I made my way inside the Library. ¡°Young One, pick one book. I might be able to get into the ¡®Records¡¯ of Atoria using at least this continents language.¡± After Messiah, told me this, it occurred to me that we can get in contact with this world¡¯s ¡®Records¡¯ and just let Messiah have authority in it. This might be able to also help us know why we came here. I picked out a thick, expensive looking book in the inner part of the Library. I had it analyzed by my ¡®Game System¡¯ and have it recorded in the [Document] Tab. The [Document] Tab was not really useful in the game. It only records all the details and stories when you¡¯re doing a ¡®Quest Route¡¯. This Tab was just useful for checking the details needed what the quest needed. After having the whole book analyzed and recorded, with Messiah just floating for a second, it was then a prompt suddenly appeared in the ¡®System¡¯. [Learn Dracish Common Language: Yes/No] ¡°!!¡± ¡°I have successfully gotten the ¡®Records¡¯ of the ¡®Dracish Common Language¡¯. You can just learn it as a ¡®Skill¡¯, Young One¡±. Game System Super OP!! I then selected ¡®Yes¡¯. It was then I felt a slight headache for a second, it then fades afterwards. It seems that I really did now know the common language of this city. The book I picked seems to be a History Book of the Monmouth Fortress titled, ¡®Monmouth Fortress, and its Glories¡¯. ¡°But in what ¡®Job¡¯ is the skill under?¡± ¡°You can just check it, Young One.¡± I opened the ¡®Abilities¡¯ Tab. The ¡®Skill¡¯ [Dracish Common Language] is not under any ¡®Job¡¯. It was under a ¡®Skill Category¡¯ of ¡®Other Skills¡¯, which didn¡¯t exist in [Fantasy End] game at all. ¡°Wow. So Messiah, you can take over this world¡¯s ¡®Records¡¯.¡± ¡°I¡¯m a God, it just that I don¡¯t have the authority on this world¡¯s ¡®Records¡¯.¡± I don¡¯t feel like you¡¯re one though. ¡°I also don¡¯t feel like you¡¯re the same Dumb Hero Savior on [Fantashiem] too though¡±. After collecting the camp set, we walked slightly towards the direction of the West Gate of the Monmouth Fortress. It was then that I noticed that there was a group of people that was approaching this place. I stopped and observed them as they slowly neared this place. After they got close enough, it was then that a lot of people started to cry and shed tears. They don¡¯t look sad though. Then I noticed a guy looking towards my direction. He appears to be the one who leads the group. I then asked. ¡°Why are the people behind you crying?¡± Chapter 014 – Confirmed Information ¡°Thank you for the help¡± ¡°It¡¯s alright, Lan. You should go and report this to the Guild first. We will take care of the victims.¡± ¡°I really appreciate that. You guys will also escort the victims for us.¡± ¡°It¡¯s our job. My decision seems to be correct, as they got out of the forest without any issue. The leader, his name was Lan, said to me that they just got out some great predicament and the people was just happy to come back alive. He was with his party. One was a big guy with a shield and mace, the other one has dual short swords and the last one was a sexy woman with a crossbow and knife. I was waiting for them to finish. Their situation seemed important, so I just let them go first. It would also help me get inside without any worries. After they finished, I can finally enter without any issue. The guard that was talking with the Party Leader approached me when it was my turn. I then entered the guardhouse. ¡°Do you have any Identification?¡± Well, that should be obvious that I have none. ¡°I have none. I¡¯m new to the fortress and I¡¯ve just started travelling. All transaction was done through the use of [Game System], and the currency shows as an Item in the [Inventory], but that¡¯s all. We can just use it to buy and sell out things. The currency of ¡®Atoria¡¯ is very similar to what I have. Ever since I came here, the currency in the [Inventory] finally had a physical form that I can actually touch and use. And what do you know? I¡¯m overflowing with it, because I have the same amount I had in the game. The currencies are divided by Stone Coin (1), Iron Coin (10), Copper Coin (100), Silver Coin (1,000), Gold Coin (10,000), Platinum Coin (100,000), and Diamond Coin (1,000,000). And the currency I have is at least a total of 2,118,980,680. Talk about being overwhelmingly rich. And it was the same here, as long as the mineral used is the same, it doesn¡¯t matter if it¡¯s created from a different continent. You can use it. That¡¯s why the currency I have can be used here. The landscape if great and the Fortress City are moderately vast. You can explore it for a whole day. I¡¯ve memorized the locations of relevant places. There are also the places that I needed to take note of, such as the Lords Mansion, Noble District and the Slums. And of course, the taste of local delicacies and street stalls are a must! Well, I ate a fair amount, but I want to leave some for future strolling. Of course, along with the exploration, is the information gathering. I collected a fair amount that can make me familiarized with the current happenings in the fortress. There¡¯s also the humor of this kidnapping incident that¡¯s being close to being solved. So the time of dinner, which is the 6th bell is actually 9 pm. Also for the week, Atoria only have 6 days a week. This is divided by the Day of Fire, Day of Water, Day of Wind, Day of Earth, Day of Light, and Day of Darkness. This means, for a month, Atoria has 5 weeks in it. For a year, there¡¯s 12 months, for a total of 360 days for a full year. 1 season is occupying a full 3 months starting with spring. The date now is the Era of harmony: Year 503, 2nd month of summer, Day of Water. ¡°Wow~, being in a place filled with your own people really made the loneliness of that long journey disappear.¡± I was able to relax now, and collect all the information we compiled within this long journey of ours. In the game [Fantasy End], the concept of level in numerical value should be obvious, but here, my level only showed in Stats ranking. Being a major power means powerful military might and influence. Avalon Kingdom have powerful defense fortresses that act as the guardians to the borders that separates them from the other two major powers, but this didn¡¯t mean that the three major powers are in any kinds of conflicts. This just shows how much power they had. Just to show off to each of the other major powers. But there¡¯s a certain fortress that was being heavily funded by the Avalon Kingdom, just to make sure to strengthen it, and not make it fall. The fortress is not used to guard against human invaders or other powers. It was to defend against the ¡®Monsters¡¯ that was coming from the ¡®Dragons Holy Lands¡¯. It is placed in the middle of two mountains, with a large river running in between. The ¡®Frontier Fortress City ? Monmouth Fortress¡¯ was built here. In the west of the fortress was the direction to the Avalon¡¯s Capital City and to the West is the one that¡¯s needed to be guarded. The west has three Monsters breeding place that were being cleaned off its Monster in intervals. on the southwest is the ¡®Scalli Swamps¡¯, on the west is the ¡®Ogros Jungle¡¯, and the most dangerous one, on the northwest is the Pighead Forest. Because of this, all the peoples of Monmouth, even the average citizens of it, are able to fight on an acceptable level. Adding to the fact that it was being heavily funded by the Kingdom, even though it was in a remote place and a frontier fortress at that, it was one of the most successful places you want to be, especially to the people that want to have a career based on their strength. But they don¡¯t know that something will only be revealed about what will about to transpire in the future. ***** ¡°Wow!~ It sure is beautiful even though it¡¯s already night.¡± ¡°This fortress is quite advanced, I might say. Those street lights are being connected to each other by Magic Circuits to only have one source for all of it to light up.¡± Messiah was taking to me telepathically because we¡¯re having our dinner just outside of the Inn, and there are people here too eating with the same reason, probably. It was quite loud as many adventures, mercenaries and hunters are lodged here. A lot of them seem to only finish their task because a lot of them are quite merry while drinking their booze. ¡°Now that I can relax, I just realized how wonderful this place is. No other humor was worth mentioning, but a lot of this small humor seems to be connected one way or another to the slums. ¡°Well, let¡¯s turn for a night now. There¡¯s the Protector¡¯s Guilds (Adventurer¡¯s Guild, Mercenary Guild, Hunter¡¯s Guild, Fortress Guardian Knights, Fortress Army Barracks, Private Army Clans, etc). There also the Commercial Guilds (Merchant¡¯s Guild, Street Stalls Association, Peddler¡¯s Organization, etc) and the last one, the Crafting/Art Guilds (Blacksmith¡¯s Guild, Tailor¡¯s Association, Cuisine Workshop, Painter¡¯s Guild, Jewel Smith Workshop, etc). All this can be considered private and government departments, as the Masters that runs all this guilds are founders without the kingdoms help, but it was officially under the law now that these guilds are mandatory to work with the Kingdom. And because of all of this, even with a Frontier Fortress City like this, the safety and management was so good. Well, all governance is not perfect. The Adventurer¡¯s Guild was not very far from the Inn. It was one reason why I selected Cat¡¯s Comfortable Inn. It was only a 10 minutes¡¯ walk and it only took two corners turn to arrive there. The Adventurer¡¯s Guild was a three story building. The ground floor was the Reception Lobby and the Tavern, while the second floor seems to be the Employee Office, Storage Rooms and Party huddle room and having the third floor as the Executive Hall, Round Table Meeting Room and the Guild Master¡¯s Office. I then entered. It was like a reception hall you can see in a rural area that was well maintained. The tavern on the right side was not really crowded, but you can still say that it has a lot of people. The bulletin board has the tasks or quests you can take, but it was not the typical type that tears the paper then submitting it to the receptionist. Each task or quest listed have a corresponding number with them, this number will be then taken to the receptionist as they have the copy of the task/quest details. It was quite good system, I might say. I made my way to the receptionist. I get some looks, but they then lose some interest after a few seconds. I completely made sure that my equipments don¡¯t stand out and not too mediocre to be belittled. I¡¯m equipped with a Rare Grade equipment set that was focused on stats and neglected its design. It¡¯s not that bad looking, but it was also not eye catching. I finally reached the male middle aged receptionist. Even for a fantasy world, it still follows how the real world¡¯s works, huh? Mister receptionist then walked to the big altar and activated something. After 3 minutes a card was then discharged from a small cut in the big altar. He then came back to me. ¡°Here¡¯s your Guild Card. It does not have a rank yet, as we will take the test to determine your rank after this. You can view your details using the Guild Card base on our Lord Gods Shelzards Records. Your Guild Card details can¡¯t be viewed by anyone else without your permission. You can share your details with the Guild later for Rank Test as it can be one factor to determine what will be your Rank. You can check your details now.
