《A Celestial's Wrath》 Prologue - Celestial Father Once upon a time, there were many Celestials controlling the Dou Li Galaxy. But one of the Celestials wanted more. Unleashing a bloodbath, butchering billions of lives on multiple planets, he killed hundreds of Celestials. In the end, only 10 Celestials remained - the strongest ten. << Planet Chao Hao - named after its creator, the white Celestial >> Fluffy white clouds shaped like cotton candy floated aimlessly in the blue sky. Rainbow colored orbs of water hovered in the air, low enough for one to touch. The fairy-green forest blossomed with colorful flowers and buzzing bees hurried between them. At a clearing, angel-white deer grazed. A golden halo hung around their necks and some golden patterns were painted into their furs. Their antlers were bigger than their entire bodies and branched more times than a small tree. White glowing flowers blossomed in them and colorful birds nested there too. It was as if the deer¡¯s antlers became the perfect home for birds. Suddenly, a single humanly-shaped figure with the head of a rabbit stepped between them. Its head and long ears were pure white and it wore a well-fitting tuxedo, giving it a refined aura. ¡°Master, three Celestials are heading to your planet right now,¡± it said. Out of thin air, a handsome man clad in only white appeared before it, hovering a few centimeters above the ground. He was barefoot and muscularly slim. Around each of his ankles and wrist, a white halo floated like bracelets. Golden veins spread through his being and made him seem like he was struck by thunder. Four thin and angel-white wings spread out from his back proudly.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. ¡°So they found out¡¡± he emotionlessly said, as though he expected it already. The blue pixie on his shoulder blurted with an energetic female voice into his ear, ¡°Sure they found out! You Celestials are able to see everything, so how could they not find your child?! It was already a miracle that you could hide him from them for 18 years!¡± ¡°And to top it all off, you had the child with a mortal human! Not only did the baby become a Celestial, it also inherited the talent for growth only humans have! Do you know what that means?!¡± The white Celestial scoffed and turned his head away from the pixie. The pixie answered her own question. ¡°It means that what pure-blooded Celestials would need tens of thousands of years for, he can achieve in one year of training!¡± ¡°If the child lives long enough like other Celestials, it would be able to destroy galaxies with a snap of its fingers and no being in the entire universe can stop it! And no one should be allowed to have that power!¡± The white Celestial faced the pixie again and answered, ¡°But he is our only chance to win against the current Celestial Emperor.¡± All of a sudden, the clouds turned pitch black and covered the entire sky, turning it darker than a demon¡¯s heart. The sky was rumbling and golden lightning flashed through the thunderclouds. The white Celestial shouted at the pixie, ¡°You have to hurry! Find my son; hide and protect him!¡± Hurriedly, the pixie flew towards the sky, leaving a trail of blue light behind. But suddenly, a monstrous golden lightning whipped at the pixie with a deafening voice echoing through the air. Instantly it turned to ashes and was blown away by the wind. The white halos on the white Celestial¡¯s ankles and wrists turned blood-red and quivered in anger. He howled at the sky, ¡°How dare you kill one of my creations?! You will pay with your blood!!¡± The rabbit-faced butler next to him manifested a sapphire-blue staff and grasped it. ¡°I will fight alongside you, Master.¡± Chapter 1 - The Phoenix Coin << Planet C13 , Year 2360 >> It was a starless night in the big city of Xin. Grumpy clouds gathered above the sky and shrouded the moon. The winds howled and blasted violent waves into the river and ocean nearby. It was truly a stormy night. On a skyscraper, a teenager in a black military uniform sat on the edge of the roof. His feet dangled in the air over the abyss and his jacket was opened, fluttering in the raging winds. He clutched the blue glowing gem on his pendant and formed a fist around it, hiding its glow. Popping and cracking noises came from his knuckles, and his tendons protruded out from the back of his hand. The fingernails drilled into his skin and blood trickled down from it. The drops of blood fell hundreds of meters down from the skyscraper, ending in a splash on the ground. With trembling hands, he gnashed and grinded his teeth in rage. And then the rain came. The raging winds turned the slight drizzle worse. The drops shot like needles into his face. His hair became wet and stuck to his scalp. Water drops formed on the tips of his wet hairs and trickled down onto his face. Suddenly, the metal door to the roof crashed open, hitting the wall with a loud BAM! A nurse stepped through the door, covering her face from the raging winds with a hand, and screamed at the youth, "Yan Hao! Your sister woke up!" The youth turned his head, jumped up, and ran towards her. The nurse stepped aside and let him pass by. Yan Hao ran down the staircase and entered a long hall. Everything seemed so clean and white. There was neither staff nor patients in the hall. It was desolate. In the silence, only his ragged breathing and footsteps echoed through the hall. Tap after tap after tap... He pushed open a door and entered the room. A slim girl weakly laid in the bed. Her smooth skin was snow-white and her lips pale, making her seem like a porcelain doll. Her hair was grey and her dim eyes ice-blue. Multiple beeping machines stood next to her and were attached through wires to her wrists. As she heard Yan Hao entering the room, she gently turned her head towards him and set up a forced smile. "Hao brothe- *cough* *cough* *cough*" Blood spritzed out from her coughing fit and tainted the white sheets in an ugly red. She was even too weak to hold her hand in front of her mouth. She could only try to endure while squinting her blue eyes. Yan Hao rushed to her side and worriedly said, "Mei''er! Don''t force yourself. You don''t have to say anything. Just¡ -Just rest a bit¡"You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. He pulled his sleeve longer and gently wiped the blood stains from Yan Mei''s mouth away. Her eyes wandered over Yan Hao''s body and noticed that he was soaked from head to toe. His wet clothes stuck to his body and dripped with water. Yan Mei''s eyebrows knitted and her gaze softened, becoming glassy from tears. She parted her lips and intended to say something, but didn''t due to the memory of her brother''s words. She just continued to look with this pitiful expression at her brother. Yan Mei knew how to make Yan Hao feel guilty, and she succeeded. He releases a heavy sigh and weakly smiled at her. "Don''t worry about me¡ I will think of something to help you¡ I will." Suddenly, a doctor walked in and halted near the door. He gave a slight cough, trying to notify Yan Hao that he is here. Yan Hao stroked Yan Mei''s grey hair behind her ear and said with a smile on his lips, "I will be back in a moment¡" As he turned around and faced the doctor, his smile faded away and his face showed deep concern. His thoughts were wandering and trying to think of a way to help her. In unhurried steps, he walked to the doctor and left the room with him. Yan Hao grabbed the door handle and gave a last smile to his sister before closing the door. The doctor flipped through sheets on his clipboard and said, "Mister Yan Hao, we have fully examined your sister''s condition and found the problem." "She is the bearer of a new disease which we call PHV-9 for now. The disease attacks the core of her soul. She will lose roughly a year of her lifespan every week and die in about 1 to 1.5 years'' time." Yan Hao wiped his hands over his sleepy eyes and replied, "Is there a cure for this?" The doctor flipped towards the end of the clipboard and explained, "A medical cure? No. All you can do is hope to acquire the Phoenix Coin from the Spirit Pagoda. But the chances are nearly zero." Yan Hao was perplexed about what the doctor said and asked, "A coin? Can a coin really help her?" "You don''t know of the Coins?" "I don''t think so. I didn''t have much contact with civilization at the Northern War and only returned today." The doctor explained, "Okay, then. You can look it up on the internet later. Simply put, the Phoenix Coin is acquirable in one of the Spirit Realms. I think it was the fourth Spirit Realm." "The Spirit Pagoda?! Isn''t that a space exploration company?" "Yes, and it still is. The aforementioned Spirit Realms are planets multiple light-years away from Earth. Each of these seven planets is inhabited and contains treasures." "Because the planets are simply too enormous, the Spirit Pagoda isn''t able to search all seven planets on their own. They would need centuries to search through a single planet. That''s why they decided to open the planets to the public and let people help them in the search for treasures." "With their new technology, everything can be turned into coins. A manager of Spirit Pagoda managed to acquire the life-force of a Phoenix and stored it in a Coin - the Phoenix Coin. It is put on show in the Spirit Pagoda where everybody can see it, but it isn''t for sale. You can only hope to acquire one in the Spirit Realm too." Yan Hao scratched his head and tried to digest all this information. It seemed that a lot has happened while he fought in the Northern War. And a sudden thought popped into his head, "With all this new technology, could it be that the reason why we were pulled back from the war was the Spirit Pagoda?" The doctor interrupted his thought. "I''ll have to excuse myself. I have other patients to attend to." After the doctor hurriedly went away, Yan Hao decided to look it up later on the internet. He carefully opened the door to his sister''s room. Yan Mei had her eyes closed and laid motionlessly in bed. She seemed like a porcelain figure - fragile yet beautiful. "I should let her sleep," he thought. After he entered the room, he gently closed the door without a noise and took a seat next to Yan Mei''s bed. "Let''s see what happened while I was gone," he thought and pulled out his phone, navigating to the home page of Spirit Pagoda. Chapter 2 - A Strange Girl and her Teddy The website of Spirit Pagoda looked really fancy and well-made. A big picture was on the top of the website and showed a beautiful, smiling woman in a red cheongsam holding her hand in front of her ample breasts and pointing at her bracelet. The bracelet stuck tightly to her skin and glittered like diamonds. Seven white orbs were embedded in the bracelet and shimmered in a mesmerizing white. Next to her were the following words printed: ¡°Get your Spirit Bracelet now and enter the Spirit Realm to search for treasures! Be a treasure hunter and explore new planets! Come and be part of building a new future! The next step in humanity!¡± Below blinked the red words: ¡°Only 499 Yuan!! We are open 24/7.¡± ¡°Only around 500 Yuan? That¡¯s way cheaper than I thought. I mean we are talking about jumping planets here.¡± The article below explained in detail what the bracelet can and functions as. To put it simply, the 7 orbs on the bracelet refer to the spirit level of the wearer. Through missions from the Spirit Pagoda and kills, the spirit level can be increased. It somehow reminded Yan Hao of the games he used to play. Each planet has specific prerequisites to enter them. The first planet, also called First Spirit Realm, has no restrictions. The Second Spirit Realm demands one to be a Spirit Lord. But the requirements for the other Spirit Realms weren¡¯t stated. ¡°If getting the Phoenix Coin is my only chance to save Mei¡¯er, then I will definitely need that bracelet,¡± Yan Hao concluded and silently left the room. When he arrived at the elevator, a little girl with black hair and a white dress stood there. She seemed to be around 9 years old and held a teddy bear in her arms, tightly pressing it against her heart. Yan Hao smiled warmly at her and entered the elevator with her. He pressed the button heading to the ground floor and asked the little girl, ¡°Where are you heading to?¡± The girl buried her flushed face in the cozy teddy bear and timidly said, ¡°T- To the magician.¡± ¡°The magician?! No, wait, I meant which floor. Which floor are you heading to? I will press the button for you.¡± ¡°I-... I¡¯m heading to the Floor of Untainted Land.¡± Yan Hao didn¡¯t understand a single thing what the girl said. ¡®What Floor of Untainted Land? Is there such a thing?... Oh, never mind.¡¯ The door closed and the elevator moved downwards. Yan Hao couldn¡¯t help himself but to occasionally glance at the girl. She was just too weird, yet cute. ... *ding*Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. The door opened again. A desolate lobby appeared before them. Not a single person was to be seen; no wounded or sick people and no nurses. It seemed as if nearly no one is the city needed a doctor. It was utterly silent. The both of them left the elevator and walked side-by-side towards the exit. While walking, the little girl cutely moved her teddy bear into various fighting stances and shot her gaze around the hall. Yan Hao gave a slight chuckle and curiously asked her, ¡°Are you fighting someone? Maybe the magician?¡± ¡°N- No! The magician is an ally. But you have to keep your eyes open for the golden dragons.¡± Yan Hao jokingly said, ¡°Heh. Thank you for the tip. I will keep my eyes open.¡± Arriving at the exit, the automated door opened itself. Raging winds stormed through the open door and slapped into their faces. Heavy raindrops came with the wind and pounded at their bodies like marbles. Yan Hao pulled the hood over his head and protected his face with his arm. The little girl held her teddy in front of her face and her black hair fluttered in the wind. The pitch-black sky hummed in its anger. The clouds were rumbling and grumbling with thunder filled with the wrath of gods. Suddenly, a blaze-gold lightning purring with energy whipped violently into a tree on the other side of the street, tearing a golden scar into the air. Fire flared up in the tree and crackled. The screeching winds howled at the fire, yet it prevailed, flickering in the winds. With knitted eyebrows and squinted eyes, Yan Hao looked at the girl and screamed louder than the winds, ¡°Are you planning to walk through the storm?! Should I take you with me?! I have a hover-car!¡± The little girl tilted her head behind the teddy and screamed back, ¡°We don¡¯t go into cars with strangers!¡± Yan Hao wasn¡¯t willing to let a little girl walk through the storm, not like that. He took off his jacket and put it over the little girl. The hood was bigger than her head and covered it entirely. The girl pulled the jacket closer to her so that it won¡¯t fly away and stared with dazzling eyes under the hood at Yan Hao. His short black hair swayed in the winds and was dripping wet. His shirt flickered from the winds and his muscular arms were shown, glittering from the water. Yan Hao gave a warm smile to her and said, ¡°Stay safe!¡± before he sprinted to the hover-car across the street, near the blazing tree. He touched the wet and cold screen at the driver¡¯s door and after a green light flickered, the door swayed open like a butterfly¡¯s wing. Swiftly, Yan Hao plummeted into the seat and closed the door, shutting the raging winds and rain out. After he wiped the rain from his face and shook his wet hair, he glanced back to the entrance of the hospital. Gone. The girl¡¯s gone¡ ¡°Where is she? Did she go back in?¡± he asked himself and glanced left and right along the street, looking for the girl. But the sidewalk was empty and desolate, devoid of a living being. ¡°She¡¯ll be safe from the storm inside the hospital,¡± he thought and a smile blossomed onto his lips. Meanwhile, the rain hammered like a salvo of bullets against the windshield. The plummeting rain flowing down it blurred the vision through it, making it hard to see anything. Yan Hao, who was shivering from the cold and wet clothes, pushed against some buttons near the wheel. A gentle breeze of heat blew out from the air-conditioners of the car and stopped his shivering. The windshield wipers rapidly wiped the rain from the windshield away and made it possible to view the scenery behind it. After he started the hover-car and the engine hummed, he laid his hands on the wheel, put his feet on the pedals, and drove along the street towards the Spirit Pagoda. Chapter 3 - Pixel The streets were nearly empty and only a few hover-cars drove in this storm. Yan Hao had a smooth ride and arrived soon after at the Spirit Pagoda. The skyscraper housing the Spirit Pagoda was by far taller than the other skyscrapers nearby. It imitated the typical form of a pagoda, yet it was fully made of glass and metal. After he parked his hover-car, he turned the engine off and opened the butterfly-like doors. The winds stormed at him and rain slapped into his face. After he left the car, he shut the door, blocked the whipping rain with his hand, and ran towards the entrance of the Spirit Pagoda. As soon as Yan Hao was before the entrance, the automated door swung open and he rushed into the hall. Raging winds accompanied his entrance and stormed through the hall. Shortly after Yan Hao entered the room, the doors closed again. Yan Hao stretched his back, wiped the rain from his face, and ran his hand through his flattened, wet hair, stroking it backward. A red carpet stretched from the entrance forward to two receptions on the other side of the hall. And coincidentally, no one stood in line. With dripping wet clothes and drenched shoes, he walked towards a reception. The receptionist politely asked, "Hello sir, how can I be of service today?" "I need a Spirit Bracelet," replied Yan Hao. "Understood. That would be 499 Yuan." After making the payment, the receptionist put the bracelet onto Yan Hao''s hand. The bracelet shrank rapidly, only stopping when it was skintight. A sudden pain drilled from the bracelet into Yan Hao''s body. His vision got a little fuzzy and he felt like he had a headache. His fingers pressed against his temples and he squinted his eyes. "There is a teleport station on the top of the Spirit Pagoda. You can use it whenever you like. It will bring you to your desired Spirit Realm," explained the receptionist and stood on standby like a robot, staring into nothingness. ''Weird,'' thought Yan Hao and walked towards the elevator. Arriving before the elevator, the headache already subsided and his vision turned clear again. Yan Hao pressed the button to call the elevator and looked at which floor it is currently. ''163¡'' Yan Hao read the number on the display in disbelief. Below it was written: 01:31; where the seconds dropped from the 31. So it would take around 1 and a half minute for the elevator to arrive. With nothing other to do, Yan Hao inspected his Spirit Bracelet a little more in detail. All 7 orbs embedded in it were of a dull white without light. Curiously, he raised his index finger and touched an orb on the bracelet. [Access to Fifth Spirit Realm is locked.] The sudden voice startled Yan Hao and he swiftly turned around, but there was nobody. "Was that in my head?" "..." "If this orb was the fifth," he thought and moved his finger towards the most left one. "Then this orb must be the First Spirit Realm," he concluded and pressed onto it. And suddenly, a holographic image popped up before him.

"What is all this for?" whispered Yan Hao while staring at the display. [It shows the amount of your invested coins. Once a region is full, you have the right to advance to the next Spirit Realm. The more coins you invested and the more slots you filled, the better your upgrade to the next Spirit Realm will be - think of it as a basis where you build upon. An ancient-coin basis will have better chances to reach higher Spirit Realms than an ordinary-coin basis.] [You can acquire coins by killing monsters. Please be aware that once you insert a coin in a slot, you can''t use it afterward.] [After you filled a slot, an upgrade card will be given. The card will be randomly drawn, but it will have the same grade as the filled slot.] After listening to the explanation from the voice in his head, Yan Hao understood the general concept of the Spirit Realms and how everything worked. *ding* With the arrival of the elevator, a notification sound came from it and the doors glided open. Yan Hao''s brows knitted in confusion when he saw the only person in the elevator. He stood in the corner of the elevator, facing the wall, and showed no intention of getting off the elevator. He wore a stylish suit vest and his poison-green hair stood on end like a blazing flame, spiking upwards. "Uhh¡ What? What''s with that guy?" thought Yan Hao and awkwardly entered the elevator, standing in the other corner of the elevator. Curiously, Yan Hao stole a glance at that guy''s face, which he could see a little bit from his current position. The guy looked really handsome, yet he stood there motionless like a puppet. "Ugh, nevermind," thought Yan Hao and pressed the button to the top floor: 163; and the doors closed with a notification sound. *din- "DING!!!!!" As soon as the notification sound from the elevator sounded out, the strange guy mimicked it by shouted it out loud. "Ahmm¡ You okay?" asked Yan Hao with a raised eyebrow. The guy turned around and set up a wide grin. "Well, hello there. You can call me Pixel," he said and enforced a handshake with Yan Hao, shaking his hand vividly. "I''m Yan Hao. You can call me Hao." "Okay, Good. Do you know today''s date by the way?" "Ah, yes. 21st July of 2360." "Thank you. Let me just note that down for later," replied Pixel and pressed the following buttons on the elevator: 21, 7, 23, 60. Yan Hao stared in disbelief at Pixel. ''Did he really just press the floor numbers on the elevator?!'' he thought and became a little agitated. But luckily, the elevator was already at floor 67 and wouldn''t stop therefore at those floors. Suddenly, a pen fell from Pixel''s pocket. He seemed to have noticed it and stared at the pen lying on the floor. Seconds flew by and he didn''t show the least intention of picking it up. He¡ He just stared at it¡ *sigh~~* Yan Hao sighed heavily and thought, "You really want me to pick it up for you?" As Yan Hao bent down to pick it up, Pixel stepped on the pen, shot his head upwards facing the ceiling, and howled, "THAT''S MINE!!" "I just wanted to pick it up for you," said Yan Hao somewhat irritated and annoyed by Pixel while standing back up. "Ohhhh. That''s so thoughtful~~. Elevator Group Hug!!" he called out and forced himself on Yan Hao, hugging him with all his strength. "Why do I always have to meet weird people at elevators?" thought Yan Hao annoyed and added, "Next time I will use the stairs for sure. I don''t care if I have to climb 163 floors." The elevator slowed down, arriving at the top of the Spirit Pagoda, and opened with the notification sound. *din- "DING!!!" And again, Pixel blasted out the mimicking word and left the hug. Feeling relieved to leave the elevator and Pixel, Yan Hao hurried out of the elevator and stepped onto the roof of the Spirit Pagoda. The winds howled and slashed at his face, and rain blasted into his face, making his already wet clothes even wetter. The sky was still covered by thick, black clouds. It was grumbling and rumbling as deep as ever. Multiple golden bolts of lightning whipped down from the clouds, lashing at skyscrapers and tearing dozens of golden scars into the air. It looked like a calamity was near. The roof of the Spirit Pagoda was made of a marble floor. And a differently colored path led to the middle of the roof where a metallic platform stood - probably the teleportation platform. Chapter 4 - An Idiot With hurried steps, not willing to stay for too long in the storm, Yan Hao sprinted towards the teleportation platform. As the rain pounded against his cheeks and the wind blasted in his face, Yan Hao had to squint his eyes and protect his face with his hand. As he arrived at the teleportation platform, he positioned himself in the middle of it. According to his earlier research on the internet, all he had to do was to lift the bracelet over his head and grab the coin which would appear next to the bracelet. Yan Hao straightened his back and stretched his arm toward the sky. As he looked at the bracelet on his raised arm, he couldn''t help but shift his attention to the sky. Even though it was just after midnight, the sky was darker than usual. In the sky, which turned darker than a devil''s soul, the masses of clouds glared down with malice at Yan Hao. Rumbling noises echoed from them like an avalanche, and sonic booms flashed through them. As the clouds crept toward Yan Hao, it sounded as if a horde of massive demons dragged colossal anvils through the heaven''s vault; just deep rumbles and grumbles. The sky coiled in on itself and made Yan Hao the center of it; the clouds gloomily moved around him. "That doesn''t look good," thought Yan Hao with his hand in the air. But before he could do anything, the coin appeared next to his bracelet - a perfect lightning rod. "I can make it!" howled Yan Hao in his mind and intended to grab the coin before the thunder came. If he could grab the coin before the lightning, he could safely teleport away. Swiftly, he twisted his wrist and shot his finger toward the coin, yet it was already too late. A clanking sound blasted through the air and a single vein of lightning came for the coin. The large and fearsome lightning branched and purred with anger at Yan Hao, not intending to let him grab the coin. In a single flash, the slithering and wriggling golden lightning lashed at the coin shortly before Yan Hao grabbed it. "AARRRGHH~" A miserable howl of agony escaped Yan Hao''s lungs. His heart no longer pounded against his ribcage; it halted... The buzzing and electrifying pain crept under his skin and through his veins. But strangely, he received no injury -nothing. Only some occasional flashes of electricity sparked up on his being. *flash* The teleportation set in. The pain was gone and Yan Hao appeared panting and out of breath in an isolated, sparkly-clean, white room. Under deep and heavy breaths, he stared at his bracelet while his chest heaved heavily up and down.Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. His ears were still ringing from the deafening crash of thunder, and unnoticed by him, a voice sounded out, stating his profile: [Name: Yan Hao] [Age: 18] [Gender: Male] [Race: Half-Celestial/Half-Human] [...] The blue gem on his amulet brightened in a dazzling color. [Memory gem detected. Reading data¡] [Current strength-level unlocked the book "Celestial Laws I" from the memory gem and added it to the inventory] ¡ Only after the voice ended did Yan Hao''s hearing return. His mind was still focused on the lightning incident from earlier, and everything said by the voice went unnoticed by him. "Did I only imagine the pain?... No, that can''t be," he said and formed his hand to a fist, squeezing it tightly. Suddenly, a holographic screen popped up before him.
=== First Spirit Realm''s Starter Points: ===
Glory City (229''301 inhabitants)
Armoured Sanctuary (18''720 inhabitants)
Safe Haven (3''312 inhabitants)
Demon''s Lair (1 inhabitant)
...
...
After reading through the first few starter villages of the large list, Yan Hao wondered, "Only one person in Demon''s Lair? Who would-" And before Yan Hao could finish his sentence, the number of inhabitants in Demon''s Lair flashed to a big zero. "... Oh..." "Well¡ I think I will take Safe Haven then. There aren''t too many people, so the chance of finding uncovered treasures is higher. And I won''t have to worry that it is too crowded there either," he concluded and pressed ''Safe Haven'' on the screen. [Safe Haven selected.] [Warning: Weapons from this planet do not work in First Spirit Realm. Equipment has to be crafted and created by yourself with materials found in First Spirit Realm.] Suddenly, the holographic screen changed and became see-through. On the other side of the screen appeared Pixel who probably just selected his starting point too. Pixel''s eyes widened and he jumped a step back, screaming, "OH MY GOD! I look hideous!" while touching his face and staring through the see-through screen at Yan Hao. "This isn''t a mirror, you idiot!" said Yan Hao displeased and went around the holographic screen, approaching Pixel. Pixel''s clothes were drenched and water dripped down from them, staining the clean room. And even though he just went through a storm, his green hair was the same as in the elevator, spiking upward like a blazing flame. "Which starter point did you choose?" asked Yan Hao curiously. "Safe Haven." Pixel coiled his hands around his chest, hugging his shoulders, and wiggled to and fro. "My only true love went there. And I have to find her." With his eyes closed and hugging himself in ecstasy, he seemed to suddenly remember something as he stopped and shot his eyes open. Shoving his hand into his chest pocket, he pulled out his ID and set up a serious expression as if this was a grave issue. Pixel showed his ID to Yan Hao and slowly and steadily said, "Have you seen this woman?" Yan Hao froze¡ "Isn''t that you?" Pixel tilted his head and stared at his own ID with knitted eyebrows, stroking his chin. "Hmmm¡ Well, it could be me¡ Just image it more feminine. Like, you know, a feminine face, a feminine body, feminine things and looks which are not manly in the least¡ You get what I mean. Did you see her?" ''I don''t even know how she looks like from your description,'' thought Yan Hao and shook his head. "Well that''s too bad," replied Pixel and pressed the orb on his bracelet. As he leaned to a side and tilted his head, he said; "Crack it," and got teleported away. "I should get going too. The faster I get the Phoenix Coin, the better," said Yan Hao, pressed the orb, and got teleported away too. Chapter 5 - The First Prey Yan Hao''s surroundings changed and were replaced by the view of a primitive village. Shabby buildings made of wood filled the streets. The buzzing noises of people talking and advertising things sounded throughout the entire marketplace and people flocked to street shops. Yan Hao was standing on a teleportation platform in the middle of the marketplace, checking out his surroundings. "It looks shabbier than I thought¡" muttered Yan Hao, stepped off the platform, and walked along the busiest street. The people were clad in strange armors. It looked completely different from the ones he saw at the Northern War. But this was a completely other world after all where nothing from their planet worked or held a meaning. Most people wore leather armor and only very few were clad in a tight-fitting iron chest plate. But strange enough, none of them seemed to hold a weapon or have one near them. But that was maybe because they stored it in coins. As Yan Hao continued his walk along the street, he quietly listed to the street vendors shouting advertisements. "One pound meat for 2 spirit irons!" "Get your beast hide now! Only 5 spirit irons!" "Top quality beast hide of a primitive beast! Buy it before it''s gone!" ¡ Understanding a little more about the spirit realm, Yan Hao finally arrived at the end of the street and stood before a wooden bridge leading to the shore of the mainland. A simple, wooden sign stood before the bridge, stating: "Danger! K9 Beasts!" "Canine beasts? Like wild dogs or wolves?" pondered Yan Hao. "That shouldn''t be that difficult," he concluded. "Moreover, I can''t buy a weapon anyway. I don''t have spirit irons or other resources which could be valuable in the Spirit Realm." With no other choice left, Yan Hao stepped onto the primitive bridge and started his way across it, leaving the small island Safe Haven. As a well-trained soldier, the best of his special division, Yan Hao knew how to fight even if he has no weapon. With his rich experience and combat techniques, beating a wolf should be like a warm-up for him. In a steady pace, he walked over the bridge and gazed into the crystal-clear water beside it. The water was actually so clear that even the pebbles on the ground could be seen as if there was no water at all. It was nearly like the stories of fairy tales, only the colorful fishes were missing.If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. "It looks really beautiful here. Maybe I should take Yan Mei here when she feels better." Walking under the clear sky while the sun glared down at him, Yan Hao arrived at the shore of the mainland and made his way into the forest. The big trees were spread far apart and their thickets blocked the sunlight out, giving the forest a gloomy atmosphere. The meadow stretched all over the ground and some thickets crowded randomly over it. Yan Hao''s mind was deathly silent and his gaze surveyed the surroundings like an eagle. Patiently, he was waiting for a beast to appear and make his first kill. In total silence, he walked further into the forest and avoided to make the slightest sound. Wolves hunt in packs and if he would be too loud, in the worst case an entire pack of wolves would assault him. Yan Hao walked near the trees and used them partly as a cover. He glided his hand along its rough bark and noticed some scratch marks on them. They were rather deep and turned the wood ashen-black as if the claws were blazing hot weapons. The smell of scorched wood still lingered in the air. "It can''t be far," he concluded and walked further into the forest, watching his every step so that he wouldn''t step on a branch. *crack* The sudden cracking noise of a branch startled him and he jolted around, staring at the direction from where the sound came from. Nothing. There was nothing. Cold sweat poured out of his back and his heart pounded against his rib cage. It knew there was something wrong. "Wolves shouldn''t be this secretive." Maybe it was a mistake going into the forest without a weapon. After all, this is a completely new planet with unknown dangers. There was even a ''danger'' sign before the bridge. *crack* There it was again! Swiftly, Yan Hao shot his head around and glared into the thicket where the sound came from. "Is it playing with me?" he wondered. "Come out!" Yan Hao shouted toward the thicket and raised his fist into a defensive position while he dragged his feet into a combat stance. A throaty snarl growled out from the thicket and scratched against his ears. It sounded horrible and left his neck hair standing up. An entirely black Abyss Wolf crept out from the thicket and proudly showed itself. Its head was held high and supported by a thick, bull-like neck. Next to its sharp ears, a pair of small, metallic horns drilled out from its skull. In a crouched position, it slowly made its way toward Yan Hao. As it bared its teeth, hideous silva dripped down from its ugly fangs. A pair of serial killer eyes stalked Yan Han''s every movement and penetrated his soul. He could feel the icy malice from it and knew it was dangerous. The Abyss wolf cautiously drew an arc around Yan Hao, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce at him. Its bestial instincts made it the best predator in a forest - the home of wolves. "Hopefully it is alone," hoped Yan Hao and pressed his sweat filled back against the bark of the tree, giving him cover from behind. Yan Hao tightened his fists and readied them to thrust out at any time. His biceps flexed and tendons protruded out at the back of his hand. Popping and cracking noises of his knuckles and joints sounded out. "Come!" Yan Hao howled. The Abyss Wolf got enraged! Its snout cringed; deep wrinkles formed around it. The fur on its back snapped upright and bristled. A deep and gutty snarl growled from its throat, and it widened its maw, baring more teeth while showing its ugly fangs to its full extent. With unsheathed claws it scratched against the meadow and buried its claws into the soil, leaving behind an earthly scar. A bestial deep and loud bellow shot out its lung, and the Abyss Wolf pounced at Yan Hao with its maw targeting his neck. Chapter 6 - Loots Swiftly, Yan Hao stepped aside. The Abyss Wolf shot by his ear and crashed into the tree with its bared fangs. Loud gnashing sounds of breaking wood came from it and it tore out a big chunk of the tree. Without wasting this moment, Yan Hao jumped on its back. This was the only place where the Abyss Wolf wouldn''t be able to use its fangs nor its claws. Yan Hao coiled his feet around its belly and clutched its neck with both of his arms, tightly squeezing it and trying to strangle the monster. "Now sleep a little bit," uttered Yan Hao under gritted teeth. The growling of the beast stopped and foam dripped out its maw. It clearly had difficulties to stay alive and was near its end. But how could an Abyss Wolf die this easily? It began sprinting faster than a tempest through the forest. The surroundings became blurry and Yan Hao had to struggle to gasp for air. Suddenly, the Abyss Wolf shot its head back and its horns bored into Yan Hao''s shoulder and collarbone. Blood oozed out from the wound and stained his shirt in an ugly red. "Don''t scream!" shouted Yan Hao in his mind. If he would scream, then the possibility of attracting an entire pack of Abyss Wolves was very high. So, he had no other choice than to grit his teeth and endure the pain. Right at that moment, the Abyss Wolf jumped up and turned around in the air, intending to land on its back. "Not good." Yan Hao panicked and shortly thought about letting its neck go. But that thought didn''t remain long. The beast was nearly dead and he just needed to squeeze its neck a little longer. *Bam!* Yan Hao felt the ground at his back and nearly instantly the beast fell with its entire weight onto him. Under its monstrous weight, it squeezed Yan Hao under it. Its entire body covered Yan Hao and took his ability to breathe away. The impact of the Abyss Wolf pounding against his body let a gust of breath escape from his lungs as if the monster''s body squeezed it out. The fur of it covered his entire face and he couldn''t breathe anymore; he could only smell the stench of wet dog on its fur. The Abyss Wolf wiggled its body and tried to break free from Yan Hao''s grasp. It shot its ugly maw left and right and tried to snap at anything. Saliva drooled over its lips and foam bubbled out its maw. Slowly, the struggling became weaker and finally, it stopped completely. As soon as it stopped, Yan Hao hurriedly rolled its body aside and gasped for air. Deep and heavy breaths left his chest heaving up and down. "Urgh~, f*cking monster," Yan Hao cursed and pressed his hand against his wound. The wound was deeper than he thought and the blood continued to flow out. If it would continue like this, he would die for sure. And only now did Yan Hao understand something. "The system told me that things from my world don''t work here. But I''m sure that it meant that it wouldn''t work on things of this Spirit Realm. A medi-pack would surely work on me, right?"If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. He pulled his bloodied hand away from the wound and reached to his ankle, pulling his pants a little up to reveal his ankles. A small, black leather pack was attached to it and three infusions stuck out of it, revealing their cap. His hand, still sticky from the blood, pulled an infusion out and removed the cap with his thumb. A loud popping noise came from it and he drilled the infusion into his shoulder, near his wound. A hydraulic noise of a substance being pumped into his body sounded out and the red hue of the infusion was fastly drained, leaving it completely empty. "Argh~" Yan Hao gave a loud sigh, pulled the injector out, and fell on his back, staring up into the thickets of the trees. Meanwhile, multiple lines came from the point of injection like some high-tech crossword puzzle. It spanned over his entire wound and the flesh began to restore itself in a swift manner which could be seen with naked eyes. After 5 minutes, his wounds were healed and he sat back up. "Time to check my loot," said Yan Hao and stepped towards the Abyss Wolf lying on the ground. He tipped onto the body of his bracelet and a metallic orb appeared next to his hand. Yan Hao grabbed it and pressed it against the body of the Abyss Wolf. When he pulled the orb back, a stack of six coins was pulled out from the body of the beast and stuck to the orb. It was as if the orb magnetically pulled the coins out from the Abyss Wolf''s body. As soon as the coins left its body, the Abyss Wolf turned into uncountable particles of light and disappeared into thin air. Nothing was left of it. Yan Hao pulled the coins from the orb and sent the orb back into the bracelet. The six coins in his hand looked metallic and had a slight, white sheen of light. The first coin had a symbol of meat on it and on its edge was written: "Abyss Wolf Meat" The second coin was an Abyss Wolf Hide coin, and the next three coins were Spirit Iron coins with the symbol of an ingot on it. Turning the coins around, on their back was written: Ordinary Coin. "So this was only an Ordinary Beast," he concluded and turned his attention to the last coin, which was slightly bigger than the other coins. It had a symbol of a dagger on it; and according to the words on the edge of it, the coin contained an Abyss Wolf Dagger of the ordinary grade. A small chuckle made its way over Yan Hao''s lips. "I''m really lucky. A weapon is exactly what I need now. I don''t care if it''s only of the ordinary grade. A weapon is a weapon." He clicked on the First Spirit Realm orb on his bracelet and a holographic screen popped up. Yan Hao looked at the tabs and selected the Coin Inventory between the Book Inventory and the Ranking Site. With swift hand motions, he put all coins except the dagger one into the coin slot and watched them appear on the inventory page. "Maybe I can make armor out of them or something. Better to store them than invest them immediately on the Home screen." << Meanwhile a little further in the forest >> Pixel was slandering through the forest. He wiped the drop of blood from his cheek and rubbed it into his suit vest. Satisfied with it, he stuck his hands into his pant''s pockets and shouted loudly, "Shuang! ¡ Shuang!" (''Shuang'' means ''to feel good'') "Where is she? And where am I?" thought Pixel. Suddenly, he heard the piercing cry of a girl and turned his head to the source of it. Further away from him, he saw a beautiful girl sprinting away from something. Shortly after she disappeared from his sight, running towards the direction of Yan Hao, a colossal Abyss Wolf King ran like a bulldozer after her, tearing everything in its way apart. It looked by far more terrifying than an Abyss Wolf and was definitely worlds apart in term of strength. No matter if it was a thick tree or a bolder, it destroyed everything in its way and uprooted trees, leaving a path of destruction. Its heavy stomps left the ground trembling in fright and its bellows echoed throughout the entire part of the forest, scaring away all birds in the vicinity. Pixel stared dumbfounded at it till it disappeared from his sight, and he muttered; "Doggie?" as he tilted his head to the side. Chapter 7 - Encountering a Beauty Unaware of the approaching danger, Yan Hao peacefully sat in the meadow with his back against a tree. The Abyss Wolf Dagger coin flipped and slipped through his fingers, dancing around them. "I have to become stronger¡" Yan Hao whispered under his breath. Suddenly, a swarm of birds cried out and fled from the deeper parts of the forest. The subtle noises of tearing wood and rumbling crashes followed it and scared even more birds away. Occasional loud snarls and bellows sent the ground trembling. The beastly sounds got louder and louder, drawing nearer toward him. The beast clearly was on its way toward Yan Hao. Yan Hao stopped playing with the Abyss Wolf Dagger coin and focused his sight toward the source of the sound. "What is that?" he asked himself. And then a silhouette of a girl appeared from where the sound came from. A few hundred meters behind her, a monstrous Abyss Wolf King followed her. The beast was as big as a van and rammed through trees as if they were made of paper. One tree after another was destroyed and torn apart. The creations of nature, which grew over dozens of years, meant nothing in front of the Abyss Wolf King. It saw it only as a simple facade. "That doesn''t look good," said Yan Hao and stood up. As the girl and the Abyss Wolf King drew nearer, Yan Hao could see the girl more clearly. Xiu Bingbing looked to be the same age as him and had glossy skin. A look of exhaustion tainted her mesmerizing face, and she clearly couldn''t hold on any longer. Her shirt was already torn in half, leaving her belly in plain view. A bloody scar scratched across the area between her belly and perfectly round breasts where the shirt was torn. The blood flowed over her belly and tainted her forest-green hotpants with red spots. Two black leather straps squeezed around her naked tights, squishing her tender flesh together; and on each strap were 3 empty coin sockets. Seeing such a beautiful girl with godly legs left Yan Hao rooted to the ground. He couldn''t help himself but stare at her¡ Xiu Bingbing''s eyes brightened up as she saw Yan Hao and a tinge of red blossomed onto her peach-soft cheeks. With her last strength, she ran toward Yan Hao and plunged into his arms. Her big eyes were still filled with determination as she gazed at Yan Hao. Her rosy lips parted and she said in a lovely yet weak voice, "Please¡"This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. That one word was all she could say before she fell unconscious from her exhaustion and wound. With her being in Yan Hao''s arms, he could smell the sweet fragrance of citrus fruits lingering on her while two soft things pressed against his chest. He swallowed his saliva and sat her to a tree with her back against the bark. And when he turned back around, he saw the Abyss Wolf King drawing nearer. It looked similar to the Abyss Wolf from before, but it was way bigger and had slight differences. Its claws and teeth were golden; and instead of horns, it had antlers. The antlers drilled out from its skull, and the beginning of them looked thick and like horns. But the horns changed midway into antlers resembling a bare tree branch. Its antlers were pitch-black like its fur and had golden engravings in them. Eerie-black darkness seeped from the antlers into the air like scorched wood would do. The Abyss Wolf King shot its gaze at Yan Hao and bared its ugly teeth. It gave a growling and rumbling snarl which let more saliva drip down its deformed fangs. Its fur bristled and made it seem even more savage. It widened its maw, baring more of its hideous teeth, and its bull-like neck began to puff out, expanding to double the size of its head before it deflated to its normal size again. Suddenly, its snarling formed into a ground-shaking bellow and it pounced at Yan Hao. Yan Hao flipped his Abyss Wolf Dagger coin and caught it with his other hand. Swiftly, he pressed the coin and it transformed into a curved dagger. It was pitch-black like the fur of the Abyss Wolf and had a razor-sharp edge. The Abyss Wolf King''s maw was now only a few meters away from Yan Hao. It was near enough so that he could smell the stench of death coming from its mouth. He jumped up and grabbed its smoking antlers. With a swift turn, he landed on the Abyss Wolf King''s back and readied his dagger to pierce its neck. However, the Abyss Wolf King reacted fast and lifted its head in a weird position, sending its antlers towards Yan Hao. "Not good," Yan Hao mumbled and turn the dagger''s dull side facing the incoming antlers. A metallic clang sounded out as the antlers clashed against the dagger and Yan Hao was knocked off the beast''s back. He twisted and turned in the air and landed perfectly on the ground. Without losing time, Yan Hao turned the dagger back to the sharp edge and thrust it at the Abyss Wolf King''s exposed neck. The Abyss Wolf King still had its head lifted from sending its antlers backward and was, therefore, exposing its throat. Seeing Yan Hao approaching with the dagger, it puffed its bull-like neck, inflating it like it did before. Yan Hao''s dagger pierced into it and left only the handle sticking out. But to Yan Hao''s shock, it had no effect on the beast. It was as if the dagger pierced a football filled with air. Even though the dagger pierced its inflated neck, nothing happened at all. No blood came out and no pain was shown on the Abyss Wolf King''s face. Not even the inflated neck deflated. If it could do this every time, there was no chance for the small dagger to pierce its throat correctly. "Shi*t!" Yan Hao cursed as he pushed his feet against the puffed neck and used it to jump wide away from it. After he landed on the ground again, Yan Hao retrieved an Abyss Wolf Meat coin from his inventory and grasped it with his free hand. A sinister smirk appeared on his face and he said, "Let''s pound some meat." Chapter 8 - Im Not a Saint Yan Hao flipped the coin with a snap of his thumb and a metallic clang sounded out. The coin flashed out of his hand and flipped insanely fast with nearly 40 rotations per second, shooting toward the Abyss Wolf King''s face. And because Yan Hao''s thumb hit strong enough at the coin for the flip, the coin transformed mid-flight into a 100-pound big slab of meat, spinning at the same speed as the coin did before. With its rotation speed and weight, it even had enough force to demolish a car. It was comparable to a speeding car on a highway hitting an approaching deer. However, this was definitely not enough to kill the Abyss Wolf King and Yan Hao knew that. That''s why Yan Hao dashed behind the meat and approached the beast too. The Abyss Wolf King saw the slab of meat flashing with full speed toward his face. It gave a heinous snarl and bared its fangs to catch the meat. However, the beast saw the meat flying at an average speed at it and didn''t realize the speed of the meat''s rotation. The slab of meat pounded at its snout and slapped its head into the ground with a loud bang, shaking the ground. Right at that moment, Yan Hao jumped toward its head with a mocking grin on his lips and held his dagger high up. He grunted loudly and bored the dagger between the Abyss Wolf King''s antlers. It was instantly dead and couldn''t even utter a cry of pain. Yan Hao gave a satisfied chuckle and retrieved a stack of coins from the Abyss Wolf King. The Abyss Wolf King''s body disappeared shortly after and Yan Hao stored its coins and the slab of meat back into his inventory. "I will take a look at the coins later. The girl is more important now," Yan Hao said and went to her side. Xiu Bingbing sat there peacefully against the tree. Her eyes were closed and her long eyelashes were put on display. Gentle breaths escaped from her cherry-red lips. They showed a stark contrast to her porcelain and soft skin and left Yan Hao in the desire to know how soft her kiss-inspiring lips actually are. "No, no, no! You can''t kiss her! What am I thinking?!" Yan Hao reprimanded himself. "That would be wrong and she would see me as a pervert! I can''t do that!" Getting rid of all his unhealthy thoughts, he focused his attention on her bloody scratch wound. It stretched horizontally across her chest and was between her breasts and navel. Ugly blood constantly oozed out from it and her glossy skin already turned pale from the loss of blood. With a swift motion, Yan Hao grabbed the remaining two injectors, which were attached to his ankle, and removed both their caps.Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. He pushed them against her tender skin and when the hydraulic noise sounded out, pumping the liquid into her body, multiple lines crept over her skin from the point of injection. They looked like a high-tech crossword puzzle; and as they reached over the wound, the injury healed with an insane speed, leaving no scar behind. With his hands on the injectors, Yan Hao watched the liquid being drained from the injectors and waited for them to become empty. "Mmm~" a muffled groan sweet in tone came from Xiu Bingbing. It seemed that she was woken up. Her enchanting eyes opened and blinked a few times at Yan Hao, who had a deadpan expression. Slowly, she turned her gaze downward where Yan Hao''s arms led to and saw his hands on her belly. Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment and her lips parted. "Perverted!" she screamed and slapped him in the face. A loud smacking sound clapped through the air and Yan Hao''s face was turned to the side. He turned his head back and glared at Xiu Bingbing, who pouted her cheeks and glared at him. Even though she looked breathtakingly beautiful, she had a feisty personality. Yan Hao pulled the injectors away and lifted them before her eyes to see. "Is this how you treat someone who saved your life?" Realising that Yan Hao wasn''t groping her or anything, Xiu Bingbing''s face turned even redder and she stumbled, "I, I, ..." Seeing her embarrassment, Yan Hao had an idea and wanted to tease her a little bit. He sat up a smug grin and said, "''I'' what? ''I always think of perverted thoughts first.'' Is that what you wanted to say?" Xiu Bingbing became flustered and her gaze dashed left and right. "No. No~. That''s not what I wanted to say. I, I wanted to say that I''m so-" she said and took a deep breath before she added, "I''m sorry." Yan Had gave a slight nod with a smile and said, "Next up would be the compensation." Xiu Bingbing blinked at him and asked, "A compensation?" "I''m not a saint. I didn''t help you because of the goodness in my heart," explained Yan Hao and silently thought, "I already took the Abyss Wolf King''s coins as compensation and wouldn''t really need anything from her. But let''s see where this goes." "Oh, ahm¡" she said and knitted her eyebrows. Her hand slid down her tender tights and fondled the empty coin sockets in the straps. "I''m sorry, but all coins I had are gone." "Gone? What happened?" asked Yan Hao. "I... I don''t want to talk about it," she said as she turned her head away. Suddenly, an idea came to her mind and she cheerfully suggested in hope, "But I can cook for you. I''m a good cook." "Okay, deal. How about now?" suggested Yan Hao. "Yes~!" Xiu Bingbing cheerfully replied and smiled over both ears. Her smile was so cheerful and warm that Yan Hao couldn''t help himself but to smile too. It sent his heart a-thump and melted the remaining frostiness from it. Somehow, he felt happy being with her. Xiu Bingbing and Yan Hao walked back to Safe Haven and had a little small-talk on the way. They introduced themselves and talked about the Spirit Realm, mostly minor things of no importance. After a few minutes, they both arrived in Safe Haven and walked through the busy streets toward her primitive wooden house. They didn''t walk for long before Yan Hao saw people throwing glances at them and heard them whisper and giggle. "She''s here again. I wonder how many monsters she killed today. Haha~!" "What''s there to wonder? It has to be zero as always. Haha~!" "Hahaha~! Bingbing doesn''t have the nickname, Lingling, for nothing." (L¨ªng = Zero) Yan Hao grimly glared at the whispering and laughing people, and the noises of mockery stopped. He lowered his gaze and looked at Xiu Bingbing next to him. Her joyful smile from earlier was completely gone and an icy expression devoid of feelings paved her face. She completely ignored the laughing people and walked emotionlessly along the street as if nothing happened. Chapter 9 - Seven Spirit Pyramid Yan Hao and Xiu Bingbing walked the rest of the way in silence, not talking to another. The whispers of mockery continuously followed them wherever they went. Yan Hao got the impression of it being a walk of shame than a walk home. After some minutes, they finally arrived at Bingbing''s home. It was a simple wooden shack and didn''t differ in any way from the other shacks nearby. They were all small in height and size, not looking impressive or anything. "We''re here," said Xiu Bingbing. "That''s my home." Xiu Bingbing and Yan Hao both entered the shack. The interior looked more stylish than the outside. The table, chairs, decoration, and everything didn''t seem to come from the Spirit Realm but were probably moved here from their world. "Take a seat. I will go change and be right back," said Xiu Bingbing in a lovely voice and turned her back to Yan Hao, walking to another room with her seductive hips swaying. Yan Hao took a seat at the table and looked around the room. The room was held very simple. There were neither images nor other personal possessions. The shelves were empty and the table without decoration. Suddenly, Xiu Bingbing returned in a new outfit: black hotpants and a white shirt. She went into the kitchen and began making some food. A sweet aroma of spices and meat came from the kitchen and left Yan Hao drooling. The smell alone was so enticing for Yan Hao that he couldn''t keep himself calm. All he could think about now was how it would taste. Minutes went by and finally, Xiu Bingbing came back from the kitchen. She held a white plate in each hand and gave one to Yan Hao while placing the other one on her spot on the table. "It''s Chicken Teriyaki. I hope you like it," she said and sat down. "Ah, yeah, sure," stuttered Yan Hao and grabbed his chopsticks. He could smell the sweet and warm aroma of the food. The chicken and rice were still steaming hot and seemed freshly cooked. The long piece of chicken was thinly sliced and orderly arranged. The crust seemed crispy yet the sweet sauce placed on it made it look soft. The orderly lined chicken slices were placed on top of a neatly placed wall of rice. Yan Hao took a slice of chicken glazed by a sweet sauce and put it into his mouth. The meat was soft and mouth-watering. It was the best he had ever tasted. After they both finished their meal, Yan Hao patted his belly and said, "Thank you for the meal. It was really good," with a smile on his lips. "I''m glad you liked it." Xiu Bingbing seemed pleased and collected the empty plates, bringing them into the kitchen.This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. As Xiu Bingbing turned her back on Yan Hao to walk into the kitchen, Yan Hao noticed that she still wore the two leather straps with empty coin sockets on her thigh. "Bingbing, can I ask you something? The people in the village said that you never killed a monster. But when I met you, you came from the deeper parts of the forest. Why were you so far in the forest when you could have hunted the weaker monsters on the edge of the forest?" Xiu Bingbing halted in her steps, turned her head, and regarded Yan Hao. After a while, she said, "It''s a secret," and went into the kitchen. Curiosity overcame Yan Hao and he started pondering what she could possibly do deep in the forest. He had many thoughts about it, but he wasn''t sure about anything. The evening went by and Xiu Bingbing said her goodbye to Yan Hao, sending him off. He was still pondering what Xiu Bingbing did in the forest. "I will just take a look," decided Yan Hao. The sky already turned pitch-black and the two moons were the only source of light in this darkness. Yan Hao made his way toward the bridge leading off the island and strode along the street. The shops were already all closed and only a handful of people were present on the street, probably on their way home. It didn''t take long for Yan Hao to enter the forest and find the place where he met Xiu Bingbing. He had a good memory after all. As he arrived at the mentioned spot, Yan Hao lightly chuckled and secretly thanked the Abyss Wolf King. "It will be easier than I thought to find out where she was. I just have to follow the path of destruction left behind by the Abyss Wolf King." Dozens of trees smashed into smithereens and deep scars scratched into earth were only the bare minimum of what the monster left behind. It was as if it paved a road for Yan Hao, not anything remained standing in the way and everything was stomped or smashed. Yan Hao set up a smile and walked along the path, stepping over fallen trees and stomped bushes. He flicked the Abyss Wolf Dagger coin between his fingers and played with it, passing the boredom while walking. << Meanwhile at the center of the forest >> An enormous pyramid with a mirror-like surface was surrounded by multiple tents. Groups of guards patrolled the ways between the tents like watchdogs. They were clad in black military clothes and a golden dragon was engraved on their left shoulders. One group, which had two instead of one dragon engraved on their shoulders, approached the biggest tent in the vicinity. The tent was bigger than a house and female laughter could be heard coming out from it. The group stopped before the tent and their leader went it after he announced his presence. The inside of the tent looked more like a palace than a tent. Red carpets were laid on the ground, fully covering the meadow, and multiple candles were lightened in the middle of the tent. At the end of the tent, a 20-year-old man sat on a silver throne. He was clad entirely in black clothes and the hood covered his head. His bone-white hair stuck out under the hood and covered his eyes, leaving only his nose and insane smile in view. A beautiful teenager girl stood behind his throne and massaged his shoulders. Her hair was dyed blue and black and she had a playful expression with pugnacious eyes. The guard straightened his back and reported, "Captain, we lost the girl and the Abyss Wolf King." Bai Long grabbed the armrests of his throne and the smile on his lips cracked wider, tearing over his entire face and showing his white teeth. He licked his lips and stretched his neck as he said, "It doesn''t matter. The Abyss Wolf King will come back - it always did. But this time when it comes back, make sure to kill it. Without the Abyss Wolf King Emblem coin, we can''t enter the Seven Spirit Pyramid." He lowered his chin again and glared at the guard. Bai Long brushes the girl''s hands off his shoulders and slowly leaned forward. His smile got even wider, filling his entire face, and he said, "If I don''t see a dead Abyss Wolf King by tomorrow, I will make sure that I will see you dead." Chapter 10 - Chop! Chop! Chop! The guard hastily replied, "Yes, sir. I will do my best." After a slight bow, he went out of the tent and left Bai Long alone with the girl called Hong Ling, who wore a dark-blue full bodysuit. The guard made his first priority to search for the Abyss Wolf King again and not return before he found it. Hong Ling hugged Bai Long from behind and whispered with a haughty voice into his ear: "How about we make this more fun~? I''m getting bored~." A wide smirk cracked onto Bai Long''s lips and he licked them before he said, "What do you have in mind?" Hong Ling grinned and whispered, "Let me use your card that you got from filling up the ordinary coin slot." Bai Long slithered his hand back and laid it behind Hong Ling''s neck. Suddenly, he pulled her head forward, flipping her over, and she landed with her butt on his lap. He coiled his hands around her shoulders and asked, "A person only gets a maximum of 4 cards in each Spirit Realm. Why should I give one to you?" "Don''t you want to pamper your Hong Ling?" she asked in a seductive voice while stroking her hair back. A wide smirk stretched over Bai Long''s face. His white bangs covering his eyes swayed slightly and he licked his lips, making a smacking sound. Bai Long leaned forward in his throne towards Hong Ling''s ear, and he said, "Oh~, I will surely pamper you." He grabbed her hips and threw her on the ground. He reached into his hood between his bone-white bangs and pulled out two coins. Bai Long flicked the coins to Hong Ling, who already stood up, and said, "You can have this. Have your fun~." Hong Ling caught the coins and gave it a glance. A wide smile cracked onto her lips and she devilishly giggled like a maniac. "Oh, you know how you can make me happy." With those words, Hong Ling left the tent and walked toward the forest. When she left the area of tents and reached the forest, she pressed the first coin, primary graded Grinning Hyena Emblem coin. Suddenly, her blue and black hair bristled and became longer and thicker, resembling a mane. The pressed coin turned into a holographic emblem of light, flew to her wrist, and slowly orbited around her bracelet, showing that an Emblem coin is in use. Next, she pressed the ordinary-graded Grinning Hyena Ax coin and grabbed the big axe, which appeared as the coin disappeared. Hong Ling wiggled her body left and right, swinging it to and fro with her hand in the air and the axe pointing up. In a sweet and yet crazy voice, she sang, "I''m here little wolf king. Where are you~?"This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. Instead of walking like a normal person would, Hong Ling skipped and threw her axe over her shoulder, happily exploring and searching for the Abyss Wolf King. After a few minutes, she saw a path of destruction. Trees were torn apart and smashed, and bushes stomped into the ground. She formed binoculars with her hands over her eyes, looking at the destruction, and said, "Ohhh~. I like this." But the path of destruction was leading left and right, it was hard to determine in which way she should go. "Hmmm~," she voiced and said, "let''s zoom in a bit." After she said that, she rotated her hands which acted as binoculars and leaned her head forward. "Oh~wa~, so much detail and I can see so far~," she said. "But I don''t see the monster¡" "Time for a spin~!" she shouted and spun around her own axis while stretching out her axe, making it ready to throw in a random direction. After a few spins, she released it and shouted; "FORE!" while she held her flat hand to her forehead to see better. "..." However, she neither could hear the axe hitting anything nor could she see it anymore. But suddenly, somebody shouted, "Are you crazy?!" Swiftly, Hong Ling turned her head around and glanced toward the source of the voice. A man wearing black military pants and a black shirt stood there. He grabbed the handle of the axe, which flew at him, and the sharp edge of the axe was only a few millimeters away from his neck. It was Yan Hao. He withdrew the axe from his neck and threw it back at her. Hong Ling effortlessly caught the spinning axe. She puffed her cheeks, placed her hands on her hips, and shouted back at him, "I said ''forth'', didn''t I?!" Yan Hao gave him a facepalm and sighed heavily as he thought, "Why do I always have to meet the weirdos?" But suddenly he realised something. "Didn''t she come from the deeper parts of the forest? Maybe she knows what Bingbing does there." In an attempt to get information and provoking a reaction, Yan Hao said to her, "You must be really experienced to come from the deeper parts of the forest. What''s it like there?" Hong Ling threw her axe over her shoulder and leaned wide forward, revealing a good bit of cleavage, as she stroked her chin and squinted her eyes deep in thought. Slowly, she walked nearer to Yan Hao and approached him. Yan Hao remained still and tried to avoid looking at her cleavage. Suddenly, he saw the holographic emblem of a hyena orbiting around her bracelet. It reminded him of the Abyss Wolf King Emblem and wondered what his coin could do then. In the next moment, Hong Ling was already directly in front of him and said, "You''re wearing military clothes but not your jacket. Are you one of my hubby''s soldiers of the golden dragon group?" As soon as he said that, Yan Hao suddenly remembered that the little girl from the hospital told him that he should look out for golden dragons because they are enemies. But this was a unique chance to gain some information, so, he blatantly lied and said, "Yes, I am." He thought that there was simply no way she could remember the faces of every soldier or find any proof that he isn''t one of them. So it seemed safe to him to lie. Hong Ling swirled her finger through her mane of blue and black hair and said, "You''re a very diligent soldier. BUT- I won''t allow anyone to find the Abyss Wolf King before me. So, die!" After she said that, she cleaved her axe down toward Yan Hao''s shoulder. He evaded it effortlessly and kicked her in the belly, thrusting her a few feet back, yet she remained steady. "Is she a maniac? Who kills their own soldiers just to be better than someone else?" he thought and manifested the ordinary-graded Abyss Wolf Dagger from the coin, holding it in defence. Hong Ling hugged her own shoulders and shouted in ecstasy, "If I can give my hubby the coin that opens the Seven Spirit Pyramid, he will love me even more~!" "You''re crazy!" shouted Yan Hao. "Hahaha! Let''s chop, chop, chop!!" she shouted and chopped the trees away like a maniac, missing Yan Hao every time. "Ah~, being a lumberjack is nice~. Wait no! I''m a woman so I''m a lumberjill. Hahaha, what a funny name - Lumberjill! I love it," she shouted and laughed hysterically while trying to hit Yan Hao who evaded every time.
