《Heart Cores have hobbies (HIATUS)》
Chapter 1
I could see nothing. It was all darkness with no light in sight, and yet, several sounds could be heard, like someone was hitting something with a hammer.
(Where am I?)
"Is anyone there!" I shouted towards the darkness.
But nobody answered as the hammering sounds kept going.
Suddenly a massive earthquake was heard, making the previous sounds stop for a second, only to restart again, but this time, they where a bit higher.
(It seems that someone is getting closer?)
"Who are you!" I shouted again, hoping for an answer.
No answer came to me and instead, a second earthquake happened.
"Dammit! Why don''t you answer me?" I screamed at repeated the hammering sounds.
(What the hell is happening?)
Afraid, with no idea on where or who I was, I waited for whatever was coming for me.
Another 4 earthquakes sounds formed, one after another, with the hammering sounds between them.
"I think..." I mumbled at the direction of the sound only to get interrupted as I heard the seventh and loudest earthquake.
Silence fell around me for a moment until tiny quick steps could be heard.
"Hey little brother, you''re not awaken yet?" (Unknow voice)
(Little brother? Is it me?)
I thought what to answer, upon hearing the male mature old voices question.
"What do you mean by not awaken yet? And why are you calling me little brother?"
"Because that''s what we are to each other, brothers of the same race.." It explained to me. "We are both Heart Cores!"
"And a Heart Core is?" I asked, confused at his words as I didn''t even know what I was.
"Ah! Right, you got the memory loss!" He explained to me. "We all have that at the beginning when we are born outside the Void!"
"Void?"
(I am getting even more confused, what the hell is he talking about?)
"Look, it''s fine, don''t worry, I shall explain veeery slowly." (???)
This brother told me what he knew, the Heart Core race was an immortal, unbeatable race, made of endless power with no physical body, we were born in our realm, the Void and he stated that while we were unstopable in our home, in the end, our home was boring, the only thing we could do there was either swim around the darkness with our kind or plan to teleport into a new realm.
At the beginning, only a few tried it, but it soon enough became the major hobby of our race even with it''s disadvantages.
"And now you are having one of it''s disadvantages, memory loss! It might take years for you to remember everything..." (???)
"Okay, I think I got it..."
"It''s time for you to awake, so imagine power, the power that you forgot, grab and fuse it at your own will until you are satisfied." (???)
"I, I will try!"
I tried to do as he said and tried to focus.
(It''s not working yet?) Nothing happened, as darkness was still all around me.
(Focus!)
(Focus dammit!)
It took some time but now, it wasn''t only the darkness that was present as I could see them, slowly, tiny fire spirits flew around me, dancing like they were in ritual.
(Come to me!)
At my command, one by one, the spirits came to me and I slowly joined them all in one form.
As a tiny fire ball was being formed, more spirits appeared in my sight, no longer dancing around and instead moving fast into me, a ball of fire, it seemed that they were attracted to me.
The fire ball grew larger.
Bigger...
Greater...Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings.
Slowly I became one with the fire spirits as I felt no pain but a hot blazing fire inside of me.
My soul flew deeper into the fire ball...
And deeper...
Slowly I reached the core and minutes later, with 50 times it''s first size and with streams of fire dancing all around it, I was now fused myself with it, the core was now beating, twice every second, it became my heart and the host for my soul.
But it wasn''t a heart made of weak flesh, no, it was a strong dark red crystal and I was not sure how, but I knew it, I was about to wake up into a physical form.
Unknow Big brother:
(It seems that he has begun?)
I was so nervous at the beginning, at first when I sensed a new power surge, I thought that an enemy was coming to attack me from behind, so I sent out three of my imps to dig into it''s direction and as I got closer, I heard a voice but decided to ignore it, after all, there''s always a chance of it being a trick.
But once I reached the dark room, I realized that the preparation of my army was done for nothing, there was no enemy, just a room with a square stone altar in the middle, with 4 pair of stairs of 4 steps, each on one of the sides of the altar.
While I did not see my own birth into this realm, I witnessed two previous of my kin doing it, so the moment I saw the room, I knew what the power surge was about.
"I think ill never get tired of watching this!" I spoke through my Imp as my little brother was about to reborn.
My three Imps moved back to the entrance, as from past experience, I knew that they could die to what was about to happen if they were inside the room.
"Ahh! Here it comes!" I shouted with a crazy laugh as a tiny red fireball appeared, floating on top of the stone altar, lighting the dark room.
The fireball slowly started to rotate into random directions, speeding up every second, until it was ready, ready to explode.
Once ready, it stopped it''s rotation just for a second and then shrank to half of it''s size, only expanded with massive speed, power and a big boom.
From the explosion, four small fireballs split off from the big fireball, each landed on one of the four corners of the room.
They turned into torches as the room turned into stone, the floor, walls and roof was now divided into huge tiles, each with a red diamond appeared in the middle.
The monstrous fireball that floated on the stone altar slowly morphed into an eyeball, that stared at me.
"Welcome Red! How does it feel to have a body?" I asked the newcomer.
Red:
I could see now with my eye that three small creatures stood at the entrance of the room I was located in.
They had blue skin, long ears, pointy noise, a demon tail at the back and horns on their heads.
The first one was the most unique, it had horns as long as his ears and an aura of blue fire surrounding him while the other two lacked that aura and instead had small, tiny horns.
Each of these two creatures held a pickaxe.
Upon hearing his question, I felt that the entire room was part of me.
(I feel it! This my body! I am...)
"ALIVE!"
Day 1, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 2
I was alive, warm, feeling a tremendous power inside me.
"Are you the voice that talked to me? My brother?" I asked the little creature with giant horns.
I wondered, staring at it.
(The floor, walls and ceiling of this room are all part of me, my body, so how is this creature of the same kind as me?)
"A sort of it, well, how do I explain it?"
It paused it''s speech for a moment, thinking of what to say.
"I am using one of our races power!" Said the creature.
"Okay" I said. "Could you explain better? A few more details wouldn''t hurt."
"Its a bit complicated to explain, I think it is better for you to learn it." He suggested to me. "These creatures are called Imps, and we are its makers, in turn they are our most trusted minions."
"Does that mean that I can also create an Imp?"
(For some reason, the thought of having minions, brings me pleasure!)
"Yes, but first you must remember the knowledge for it, my only advice is that you focus on thinking about the word info, deep in your thoughts, you must desire info, focus!"
Once again, by his words, I focused, but this time, on info.
(Give me info. I want to see it!)
Focus...
Two minutes later as I stared at the blue Imps, I noticed something different.
(What is that?)
On that moment, there were floating numbers on top of the Imps.
"Why do I see numbers on top of your Imps?" I asked my kin.
"You can see them already?!" The horned Imp shouted in surprise.
"Yes, you have a 10, and the other two have a 3 and a 2!"
"Good! You are almost there! Those numbers are the levels of the Imps!" He informed me while smilling. "Keep it up, and you will get there!"
With the three Imps staring at me, I kept focusing.
Suddenly a tab appeared on my front.
A piece of memory has been recovered!
Resource UI recovered and activated!
Heart Core info is now available!
Minion tab unlocked!
Spell tab unlocked!
Room tab unlocked!
Imp spawn is now available!
Possession spell is now available!
(Wow, that is alot of new stuff?)
"I got alot of new things!" I informed the blue Imps.
"Thats good!" The level 10 Imp said, but on that moment, he looked backwards to the tunnel while two other imps walked out of my room.
"Is there something wrong?"
At my question the horned Imp put on a smile, a big evil smile.
"It seems I got guests visiting me, take your time checking your new things, I will be returning shortly!" He informed me.
Then the Imp''s blue aura disappeared, seeming weaker than before.
(Well, I guess ill play around with what I got?)
(The Resource UI, it said it was activated, I guess, it''s the thing showing on the right top of my mind?)
On the top right, it showed me what I had, wich was 0 gold and 250/250 mana.
(What was next? Heart Core info?)
A second later, with thought of the Heart Core info in my mind, it immediately showed me a tab.
Name: Red
Race: Heart Core
Level: 1
Mana: 250/250
Mana Regeneration: 1 per minute
Gold: 0
Minions: 0
Rooms: 0
Spells: 1
(The more I try to learn, the more confused I get, my name is Red? I am only level 1? What the fuck is mana? Whats gold and why I don''t have any of it?)
At least I knew what was minions, rooms and spells.
(Minion tab!)
Imp (0)
Cost: 100 mana
Upkeep: 50 mana
Max level: 10
Basic Info:
Minion worker that can claim territory.
Does not require food or sleep.
(So I can only afford two of them right? And the max that I can have is 5? Isn''t that kind of expensive?)
It frustrated me a bit, but then again, I was creating living creatures.
(Well, to hell with it, give me two imps!)
Suddenly, a confirmation tab appeared. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Creating two Imps will cost you 200 mana and decrease your total mana to 150.
Do you wish to proceed?
Yes?
No?
(Yes!)
With amazing speed, two fire spirits split from my Heart core, flying out of me, reaching the bottom of the stone altar and went in circles, forming two tiny fire tornados.
As the fire tornados dissipated, my first minions came out of them, two Red Imps.
(Level 1 Imps, they seem so weak, so skinny, those tiny horns, well, its better than nothing right? Now let''s try moving them!)
The next moments were enjoyable, with me ordering them around, to jump, dance and run around the room, I could see throughout the Imps eyes as they obeyed every command that came from my thoughts.
(This is awesome! That mana was well spent!)
(Oh, wait a second, did the blue imps had extra skin in their back? And numbers on their left shoulder?)
Checking the Imps better, their back had extra skin, wich could be puled out, leaving a space, it was like a big pocket or a backpack.
Inside of each Imp''s back, was a pickaxe.
Both the red Imps had the number 8 tattoed in their left shoulders, I looked closer at the blue Imp that remained, he had the number 5 on his left shoulder.
(I think Ill ask him about these numbers when he returns?)
I decided to wait for my kin to return, while I would slowly check the rest.
(Show Heart Core info!)
Name: Red
Race: Heart Core
Level: 1
Mana: 56/150 (-100)
Mana Regeneration: 1 per minute
Gold: 0
Minions: 2
Rooms: 0
Spells: 1
(Seems like I got 6 mana back, too bad for the upkeep.)
(Rooms!)
There are no Rooms available.
(Are you kidding me? Why give me something that I cant even use? Oh wait, It did say zero...)
(Spells!)
Possession spell
Cost: 5 mana
Using this spell will allow the Heart Core possess a minion of its choosing.
There was no upkeep for this spell, but it costed 5 mana everytime its used.
(I guess I could try it? Sounds fun! Or should I wait until he returns?)
For 3 minutes I waited undecided, but the desire that I had to use this spell, grew every second as I looked at my Imps.
(Fuck it, Possession spell!) I decided to use the spell as I stared at my Imp on the right.
On that moment, a fire aura surrounded the Imps legs, and the spell result was immediate.
"Fucking cool!" My voice came out of the Imps mouth, I had now two bodies at the same time, I felt like a child who had a new toy to play with.
"Ahaha!" I kept laughing and jumping, moving the Imps arms, legs and tail randomly like I was a clown.
"I am back!" Spoke the blue Imp that stood still all this time.
"Welcome back!" I told him at the moment I noticed from the eye of my heart that the blue aura had returned to the blue Imp.
"A nice job on summoning and possessing an Imp, you are lucky to spawn close to me, if you were alone, all that you have done until now, would take at least one week, maybe more!" Said the blue Imp with a joker smile.
"Yes, thank you!" Until now he hasn''t been wrong, but I did wonder about one thing.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked the Blue Imp.
"Yes, of course, I will help with what I can." The blue Imp said.
"You called me Red, right? Is that my name? Whats your name? And what are those numbers on the Imps?" I inquired him.
"How do I explain it? Well, its not that our kind is terrible with names, its just that we didn''t really care about them and that they started to matter only after we left the Void, since we all have different colors, it was decided that if we had names, they would be the name of our color!"
"Regarding the numbers, it seems every minion has them depending to wich Heart Core they belong to."
"Soooo, your name is Blue?"
"Yes, Ahahah!" He confirmed it, ending with a laugh.
"Cool, so what do I do now, Blue?"
Blue''s Imp smiled like a joker.
"You can now try to expand your territorial body."
Day 1, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 3
I stared at the blue horned Imp with my three eyes as his last words confused me.
"Territorial body?" I asked Blue.
"Yes, you probably have the room tab with no rooms available, so first, you have to expand to have enough room for the rooms." Blue informed me.
"So how do I do that?" I inquired my brother, it seemed that I depended on him in very aspect.
"It is simple, very simple!" He told me while walking to the tunnel.
"If you noticed, all the stone tiles with the red ruby are each a part of you, for now, you only have your altar wich occupies 9 tiles and the 16 tiles surrounding it."
This moment, Blue''s imp pointed to the ground of the entrance, wich was currently made of earth and tiny rocks. "Order your Imp to come here and claim this area!"
"Okay." I told replied, while ordering my idle Imp to do it so.
The Imp then started his work, walking to the entrance as Blue''s Imp stepped out of his way, the little imp, once in position, started a strange ritual dance.
It lasted 10 seconds, with the Imp going with its arms up and down and jumping its legs around the tile, afterwards, the tile transformed, stone grew off the ground and the side walls following by the appearance of 3 red rubies.
Max available tiles is now available on Resource UI.
In the top right of the screen, to the left of the gold and mana, the tile number appeared.
(It seems it doesn''t count the Heart room?) I confirmed as I checked the UI, it showed 1/30 tiles.
"Blue, I can have 29 more."
"Yes, you are still at level 1, so you can only get 30." Blue confirmed it. "Now, with your possessed Imp, follow me, meanwhile, order your other Imp to get 3 more tiles."
"Okay!"
The two possessed Imps moved out, the red following the blue, in the tunnel, disappearing from the view of my main eye.
"Where are we going?" I asked Blue while as my second Imp was done claiming 3 more tiles.
"We are going to my territorial body, there is something that I want to show you, just a few more minutes until we get there."
"Why?"
"Why? Because you don''t have any gold, something that you should have for building rooms."
Throughout the way, Blue told me that rooms could be built with either mana or gold, but with mana, it was too much expensive for a low level Heart Core.
Gold was an important metal for us, as it could be used as mana for rooms and the intelegent species of this realm valued it highly as it was rare, making it easy for those who had an ample supply to easily raise sizeable armies.
As we kept walking, it was not long until I saw the beginning of his territorial body.
"Ah, here we are, keep following me!" (Blue)
We went past a big room, with the total size of 25 tiles, wich followed a 5 by 5 patern. The first thing I noticed was the stone tiles, and they were exactly like mine, with the exception that the ruby in their middle was blue.
Several types of beds varying in size were spread throughout the room, where some where occupied with resting creatures that I had never seen before.
(Isnt this room the same size of my Heart room?)
As we reached the end of the room, a door stood in our way.
"Just give me a second." Blue said, as the door opened by itself. "Let''s go!"
Another door stood closed in the same direction one tile away from the previous one, while two tiles to the right, another door was open, at that moment I could see him.
"As you can see, this my Heart room!" The Blue Imp said, while pointing to a giant eyeball of blue fire, floating on a square stone altar.
"What are those things?" I asked Blue, pointing at the tiles that surrounded the altar, while mine were empty, his were full of small golden circle rocks that were squeezed like someone had crushed them with a hammer.
"Gold coins, when you get gold, you are supposed to put it around the stone altar."
After receiving his answer, I looked behind, assuming there were rooms behind each door, there was at least 6 rooms in my view without counting Blue''s Heart room.
"Yes, I got quite the number of rooms, but this is not why we came here, please follow me." Said the Blue Imp as he walked to the left of the eyeball.
At entering his Heart room, once again, there was another open door that the Blue Imp indicated for me to go, in there, existed a room of 9 tiles, on wich 4 blue Imps were hitting their pickaxes to mine out a golden rock that occupied the middle tile.
Before I had my chance to speak, Blue had explained me what to do.
"This is a gold core, an extremely rare type of rock wich produces gold as its shell everyday, a total of 9.000 gold can be mined from it every day!"
"Okay, so, should I order my imps to mine it?"
"Well, this one belongs to me, but I will allow you to mine some of it..." At that moment, the closest Imp stoped his work and left the room, leaving an open spot for me. "Release that Imp and order him to mine gold, once his back is full, he must put it on your Heart room, then return here to repeat the process!"
"Alright, sounds easy!" I told him as I was about to cancel the spell.
"Wait!"
"Uh, yes?"
"For now, wait with your second Imp in your Heart room, no need to possess it, I will bring a present for you shortly!" Said Blue''s Imp with another joker smile.
If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
"Ohhh, Thank you!" I replied, and with our conversation over, the imps nodded at each other as we both cancelled our spells.
Blue:
(It seems like Red is learning well, I feel like he will become a great ally against those obnoxious pink skins!)
I planned to give Red a strong warrior, but unfortunately, our kind could not give your own minions to other Heart Cores.
(Come to me!)
A great creature entered the room just a few seconds after I commanded its presence, he was higher and stronger than an Imp, with green skin and fags, while wearing the best armour that I had available.
On his left shoulder was a tattoo with the number 5, from it a tribal tattoo emerged, wich spread troughout his arm, his neck, left side of his chest and face.
It was Krogar, a level 13 western orc, the General of my army and by far my best warrior.
"How did it go?" I asked Krogar, who still had black blood on his axe.
"Good, Milord. The foolish goblin party was squashed like a bug, most of them died and four prisoners were made while we suffered no casualties!" He reported, ending with a victory roar as he raised his axe.
(He leveled up again, seems like it was a good decision to promote him.)
"Krogar, I am pleased with your victory."
"Your words are very kind milord, but this was your victory!" The orc spoke as he rushed his fist to his chest in sign of loyalty to Blue.
"You may go rest, those goblin prisoners did come in a good time."
"Good time? May I ask why Milord?"
"When I ordered the preparation for mobilization, it was because I felt a strong presence, at first I thought it was an enemy that was coming from the west, trying to reach the sleeping chamber, but it turned out that one of my kin was born."
"Milord, but I thought!" As the orc tried to speak, he was interrupted.
"Yes, but I have not told you yet, Krogar, while my race is strong and dont mind going at each others throats for fun, theres also basic rules that we must follow, one of them, is to never attack one of our kin that has been recently born."
"You are so honorable Milord!" The orc roared with pride.
"In the end, it will be his decision, to be my enemy or not, but even so, I wish to help all my young brothers."
(I wonder if me teaching them the basics is the reason why so many have spawned near me?)
While I was in this Realm for months, I still didn''t recover all of my memory yet, but something strange was happening, since these last 2 months there were three Heart Cores who spawned near me, while this situation was not impossible, it has never happened before as most of our kind would normally spawn hundreds of kilometres far from each other.
My guess was that Heart Cores when leaving the Void, had the choice to pick the place of their spawn.
"Do you need to rest?" I asked Krogar.
"No Milord! I still have plenty of strength to serve you!" Roared the orc.
"Good, then meet me at the prison."
"I will go there at once!"
As Krogar punched his chest again as a sign of respect before running off to the prison room, I decided to possess the closest Imp to the prison.
A few seconds later.
"Milord!" Krogar punched his chest.
"Hey Krogar, well, it seems they took quite a beating." I spoke throughout my level 8 Imp, as I looked down at the goblins with broken bones, barely any teeth left and bleeding to death.
"All who dares attack Milord deserves no less!"
"I always enjoy hearing your words, well, pick that one, and that one."
As the Imp pointed his sharp finger, the orc picked the goblins up, transporting them in his right shoulder.
"Follow me."
"Yes Milord!"
Red:
"He is taking a while isn''t he?" I mumbled to myself as I stared at my imp and the newly tiles with my eye.
Tiny quick steps came out of the tunnel, it was my Imp, returning from his first gold run.
Promptly dropping the gold into one of the tiles, he ran again to fetch more gold.
(So again he was right!) Slowly the small pile of gold random pieces started to melt, wich then, started to morph into several gold coins.
I looked at the UI, the former zero gold was increasing.
It took 5 seconds, but now the UI was updated.
4/30 Tiles Mana:67/150 (-100) Gold:50
(So an Imp can bring up to 50 gold? Good to know.)
"Red, I am back!" A level 8 blue Imp with blue fire aura appeared.
"Welcome back! Uh, Who is that?"
(That thing is like 4 times the size of my Imps!)
From behind the Imp, a big green monster that I had never seen before appeared.
"My minion, general and right hand, Krogar." Blue informed as they entered my Heart room. "And he is bringing your gift!"
The blue Imp walked up while the orc stood below near the stairs.
As the Imp gave confirmation with his hand, Krogar, with brute force, threw the 2 goblins right in front of the stairs.
Day 1, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 4
The blue Imp approached me as the goblins moaned and cried about their pain.
"So what do you think of them?" Blue whispered to me.
"They seem broken, arent imps better? And why are you whispering?"
"Goblins are better fighters than imps if treated well and I am whispering because if they listen to what I will tell you, they might think you are a weak pawn." Blue kept whispering.
"You tell them to... and say that.... demand that... and give..."
Once again he told me how to do things in a Heart Core way.
"Got it?" (Blue)
"Yeah, I think so..." I whispered with my eye looking at the blue imp.
After our conversation was over, with a smile, Blue''s possessed imp with his hand on his back, took out two daggers, dropping them on top of the altar and finally descended the stairs, standing beside his orc Krogar.
Silence fell in the room, but it did not last, as it was interrupted by the goblins moaning.
I looked at the little creatures with my eye.
"DO YOU WANT TO LIVE?" I shouted, so the goblins could clearly hear me.
Goblin:
(Hurts! Body hurts much!)
Goblin Boss told this dungeon simple, crushed by big orc, 30 goblin, only 4 live, but die soon, to big red eye Boss.
(Don want death!)
Scared, scared and pain.
"DO YOU WANT TO LIVE?" Tha Big Red Boss told me.
(Me want to live!)
Red:
I waited, waited for an answer from the goblins, but all that I got was more moans of pain as they used whatever was left of their energy to face me.
"I will allow you to live, under three conditions." I informed the imps. "The first one, is to climb the stairs in front of you and reach the top!"
While it normally would be just a few steps for any race in this Realm, it proved difficult for the wounded goblins.
The goblins moved slowly, as one had both of his legs broken and the second goblin had one leg and one arm broken, so both had to crawl their way up.
(Thats it, keep coming.)
As I stared at them, for some reason, I was enjoying seeing their efforts, but then, they suddenly stopped in the middle of the stairs.
(Giving up already?)
"Do not stop, if you want to live, you must move at once!" I told the goblins, but in vain as they did not move, their deaths was imminent.
(Maybe they need more encouragement like Blue said?)
"Don''t think you can quit that easily, either you climb to live or the orc behind you will make sure you suffer a slow painful death!"
It had half the result, only the goblin with working arms was pushing forward, it seemed that his fear for the orc was higher than the will to die.
The little goblin finally reached the top.
"Little goblin, you did well, the second condition, swear loyalty to me and you shall be healed!" I told the goblin.
Slowly, the goblin used his mouth, screaming while spiting a portion of its black blood from his mouth.
"YESSHH!"
A goblin wants to become your minion, it will cost 50 mana to do it so, do you wish to accept him?
Yes?
No?
(I choose yes.)
The loyalty of the goblin is higher than 80, you may name him for the upkeep of 25 mana.
Do you wish to give him a name?
Yes?
No?
(Yes, do it before he dies dammit!)
Suddenly, while Blue''s Imp made a huge smile, two fire spirits left my eye, rushing into the goblins mouth.
"Ahhhhk!" The goblin felt massive pain from his bones, as he swallowed the spirits, their effect was immediate, his body started to heal while a red tattoo appeared on his left shoulder, morphing into an 8.
Goblin has reached level 2!
Goblin loyalty has increased to 82!
"From now on, your name shall be Robur!" My voice was heard by everyone in the room.
With his name, more pain came to the goblin, as his new tattoo grew colored red, releasing hot steam, spreading tribal marks throughout his arm, chest and neck.
Once the transformation was done, the tattoos turned black and the steam dissipated.
Goblin Robur has reached level 3!
Goblin Robur loyalty has increased to 84!
Slowly the goblin rose up as his pain was gone.
"Boss, tell me third condition!" The goblin roared, awaiting for my command.
First goblin has been recruited!
Goblin added to minion tab!
Named Minion tab is now unlocked!
Sleeping chamber and food storage rooms are now available!
Extra Object tab is now unlocked!~
Extra Object Door available!
"The third condition is for you to kill the goblin that wasted the same opportunity that I gave you!"
With a nod, the goblin had his order. He turned around and picked the two daggers.
Meanwhile, Blue''s Imp turned his head to the right side, making a surprised face for a second and then giving one huge smile as he was to break in laughter.
Suddenly Robur jumped to the second goblin, decided to kill him.
The second goblin tried to defend himself with his working arm as Robur used a dagger to hit him.
Instead of reaching the neck of his target, Robur''s dagger perforated the goblins hand, but that was the last chance the goblin had, with his hand stuck on a dagger, he could not defend aggainst the second one, wich went straight into his forehead, spilling black blood everywhere.
Goblin Robur loyalty has increased to 85!
Finally, Robur with a kick, threw the goblin''s dead body off the altar.
Now with the goblin recruited, Blue''s imp moved closer to me.
"Wait for me at the entrance!" I told Robur, wich responded with a nod.
"I did not expect for you to kill the second goblin." Blue whispered to me.
"Well, you didn''t say I couldn''t."
"True, but you even named the other goblin!"
"Was that wrong?"
"Well, not really, it is your choice, but do keep in mind that while named minions are stronger and level up faster, they eat a bit of your mana."
"Yes, I noticed, but compared to the Imps, its not much."
"Just make sure to always have a good quantity of free mana, now, why don''t you check your minions tab?"
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere."Okay."
Imp (2)
Cost: 100 mana
Upkeep: 50 mana
Max level: 10
Basic Info:
Minion worker that can claim territory.
Does not require food or sleep.
Goblin (1)
Cost:50 mana
Upkeep: 1 small bed and food
Max level: 10
Basic Info:
Weak Creature, that can evolve at level 10.
Cannot be summoned with mana like the Imp.
"It says it required a small bed and food? Does that have something to do with the new rooms that I got?" I asked Blue for his help.
"Yes, you can build them, but first, you have to mine out space for them!" Blue explained while sending orders to Krogar''s mind.
The orc then walked outside the room, passing by the first two claimed tiles and stoping at the third.
"Order your Imp to dig to the left side of Krogar''s position." Blue told me as he pointed at the Imp who was doing nothing but standing there like a statue.
Immediately the Imp ran towards the orc and started mining to the left, meanwhile my first Imp returned with another back full of gold.
(Show Heart Core info!)
Name: Red
Race: Heart Core
Level: 1
Mana: 23/125 (-125)
Mana Regeneration: 1 per minute
Gold: 100
Minions: 3
Rooms: 0
Spells: 1
My gold was now 100, while my mana dropped to 125.
Blue gave me more instructions, about building rooms and their requirements.
It seemed that if the rooms were connected directly to each other or had less than the required tiles, they would consume mana.
And if I wanted to, in the future, I could simply change the already existing rooms position as I desire as long there is no enemy near or if I am not using an active spell like possession.
"I wonder, what about loyalty?" I asked Blue.
"Loyalty sometimes takes a while to build, but the higher the better for you, I advice to only recruit those who have above 60 loyalty!" He informed me.
Suddenly Blue''s imp made an angry face as he reminded of something.
"Don''t recruit pink skins, even if they are above 60 loyalty, for them, the requirements should be at least 85 or higher, as those obnoxious creatures have crappy loyalty that can drop easily for any stupid reason!"
"And what are pink skins?" I asked blue about the seemly annoying creatures.
"They are most the most hypocritical racial group that I have ever encountered until now, they are divided into three races, wich are humans, elves and dwarves."
"Uhhh" I was surprised at his answer, I had no idea that Blue could held such hate towards a race. "Very well, I shall be very careful with them!"
"And you can only see the loyalty of your minions and those who do not belong to a Heart Core, there is also another restriction, you cannot see any info from those who are ten levels higher than you or your highest minion."
We both stood in top of the altar talking, as we both could see throughout the eyes of our minions, the first room was ready, while the second was being dug out and soon to be claimed by the Imp.
Both rooms for now would be 3 by 3, having each a total of 9 tiles.
"How much gold you have?" (Blue)
"100 gold, is that much?" (Red)
"No, you need more, Ill order a few of my Imps to bring you a bit of gold."
(Show me the room tab!)
Sleeping Chamber
Cost: 20 gold or 50 mana per tile.
Basic Info:
Room where Minions sleep.
Each bed will spawn with no cost.
If less than 4 tiles, the room upkeep increases by 50 mana.
If another room is connected, the room upkeep increases by 50 mana.
Food storage
Cost: 20 gold or 50 mana per tile.
Basic info:
Storages food.
Allows a Heart Core to use Food tab.
If less than 4 tiles, the room upkeep increases by 50 mana.
If another room is connected, the room upkeep increases by 50 mana.
"Thanks again, you really are helping me alot!" I thanked Blue.
"Speaking of wich, I do have to tell you some of the rules of our race."
"I would like to hear them!"
"You need to know that there is one law that we have, while we have the choice of helping younger Heart Cores, we are not to attack those of our kind that are less than 1 month old!"
"What happens if I do that?" I inquired Blue.
"First you will get a warning, and if you don''t listen to it, you permanently lose 90% of your total mana..."
(Ouch, that sucks!)
"And what if he is more than 1 month?"
"Then its free for all, you can do whatever you decide, some fight for fun, others trade and help each other, and while rare, from time to time theres some really crazy Heart Core who enjoys killing their own kind!"
"So that means we can die?"
"Yes, but when we die, we only lose our body and return to the Void, we can reborn again, but we would have to rebuild everything, wich can be annoying."
"Do you know how many of us are on this Realm?"
"No, I only know of you and two others, but I am sure there are plenty of unknow Heart Cores!"
"Two others?"
"Their names are Brown and Green, but I got no idea where they currently live, Oh and here comes the gold!" Blue''s Imp made a smile as he faced the tunnel.
Seven Imps appeared, Blue had ordered six of his Imps to bring gold, while mine was following behind them.
One by one, each dropped 50 gold, and returned to their tasks.
"I am really grateful, now I got 450 gold!"
"Right, now then, make the rooms!" Blue suggested out loud to me.
At my thoughts, the first room was prepared.
Building 9 tiles of a Sleeping chamber will cost you 180 gold.
Do you wish to finish construction?
Yes?
No?
(Yes!)
At that moment, tiny changes happened to the room, four torches, each at the corners of the room were placed and a small bed appeared.
Goblin Robur loyalty has increased to 86!
"Sleeping Chamber is done!" I informed Blue.
Day 1, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 5
With the Sleeping Chamber built and Robur''s bed in it, I decided to move my Imp into that sleeping chamber as he was done claiming the second room.
Imp has reached level 2!
Imp has reached level 3!
It seemed like my Imp had reached level 3 wich just digging and claiming.
(Its only nine tiles, but if all goblins use the same beds as Robur''s, it seems like I can host an army of little green beasts!)
And so I thought while comparing the bed''s size with just one tile, the small bed was nothing but two gray sheets on the floor, it was enough comfort for a goblin to rest.
A tile could hold 16 small beds.
"Hey Blue, how many orcs occupy a tile in the sleeping chamber?" I asked Blue.
"They use medium beds, its basically the size of two small beds, so a tile can hold 8 of them."
"Was it necessary for me to build a 9 tile sleeping chamber? Seems like I got a huge waste of space!"
"Ahahah" Blue laughed with the Imp''s hand covering his forehead.
His reaction left me a bit confused.
"Am I wrong?" (Red)
Slowly calming himself, Blue told me his opinion.
"Look, trust me, if you have patience, you will even need more than one of these rooms!" (Blue)
(More than one?)
"So you have more than one? Is the big one that I had seen before not enough?"
"No..." He paused for a second. "I have a few of them." (Blue)
"Really! Damm, You seem so ahead of me..." (Red)
Blue took a pause, rubbing his Imp''s forehead with the right hand.
"Look, what you said is true, but don''t worry too much, you just got born today, if compared to any other race in this Realm, you pretty much are current strongest day 1 creature."
"Why do I feel like a little kid at what you just said..."
"Because technically you are one..."
Silence fell on my Heart room.
Robur stood guard at the entrance while Krogar was between the new rooms as Blue nor me knew what to say.
A couple of minutes passed, my mining Imp had even return with another back of gold, increasing it to 320.
Imp has reached level 2!
"So that''s why the month rule..." Blue mumbled to himself.
"Sorry, did you say something?" (Red)
"Ah, nothing, I was just thinking of useless stuff, now why don''t you try building a food storage?" Blue suggested, as he was trying to change the topic.
"Oh, yeah, Ill built it now!"
(Now let''s see, a 9 tile food storage.)
At my words of my mind, a new tab appeared.
Building 9 tiles of a Food storage will cost you 180 gold.
Do you wish to finish construction?
Yes?
No?
(Yes!)
Food tab Unlocked!
Slime has been added to Food tab!
"It''s built." I informed Blue.
"Now order Robur to go there, but try ordering him with your mind, not your voice!" Blue told me as he turned around and descended the stairs.
In my thoughts, I tried to give the order.
(Go to the food storage at once! It is the room on the right side.)
Suddenly with a shout, Robur confirmed his order.
"Boss, me go at food room now!"
At the same time, Krogar returned to pick up the dead goblin''s body, he then returned with Blue.
I also ordered my level 3 Imp to join the group.
In the new Food storage, stood there two Imps, one goblin and one orc, who where staring at an empty room.
Immediately Blue''s Imp started to run, returning to my altar.
"Welcome back?" I told Blue.
"I forgot to tell you to only spawn one slime!"
"Slime?"
(Slime? I think that was the new thing on the Food tab? Give me Food tab!)
Slime
Cost: 1 mana
Basic Info:
Tiny gelatinous cube creature.
Basic nutritious food for minions.
Can easily multiply if requirements are met.
"Only one? But they are cheap!" I told Blue while checking my mana, I had enough to spawn 39 smiles.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
Blue smiled again. "Try spawning one and I will show you why!"
Curious about his words I decided to spawn the slime.
(Spawn 1 Slime!)
Creating one slime will cost you 1 mana.
Do you wish to proceed?
Yes?
No?
(Yes!)
A tiny fire spirit came out of me, heading with tremendous speed to the Food storage.
Passing by the group that stood at the room entrance, it headed to the middle, forming another tornado, similar to the one of the Imps, but it was smaller.
As it dissipated, a new creature came out of it, a tiny red gelatinous cube that could be fit in a goblins hand.
"No wonder it only costs 1 mana..." I told Blue, checking the little slime from both Robur''s and my Imp''s eyes.
"Is that thing supposed to feed my Robur and my future minions? It wont be enough!"
"Do not worry, keep looking!" Blue told me as he ordered Krogar.
With his orc strength, Krogar ripped off the goblins left arm and threw it near the slime.
The slime, acting like it hasn''t eat in years, moved fast, losing its cube form for a moment, to feed on the arm, wich caused a chain reaction.
Just one tiny piece of meat was consumed, making the slime split in two slimes, and once those two took another bit of meat, the process repeated, with each forming two new slimes.
In seconds, all the flesh of the arm was gone, and on its place were 8 slimes.
But it did not end with just the flesh, as the slimes feasted on the bones as well, it seemed that the bones were better for the slimes, as these 8 slimes divided into three after consuming every last bit of bone.
A total of 24 slimes now occupied the dead goblin''s arm place, standing still in their cube forms as their meal was complete.
"Wow... So this is why you wanted me to only spawn one slime." I commented with Blue''s possessed Imp on my heart room.
"Yes, as you can see, mana used to summon slimes should be your last choice." Blue wanted to make sure I knew of this, as mana could be recovered, there would be other things for it to be used.
"Alright let''s make some more!" At his words, Krogar threw the rest of the body into the slimes.
The larger numbers of slimes made sure the goblin disappeared in seconds, allowing the storage room to have 144 slimes.
"You can order Robur to eat slime, he must be hungry by now, also do me a favor, order your Imp to bring me a slime, please."
"Very well!" I told Blue.
With my approval, Robur walked to the slime group, picking up one of them, fitting perfectly on his hand.
My red Imp took a slime out of the room, running towards the altar, while Robur was slowly eating two slimes.
Giving the slime to Blue''s Imp, he immediately ate it.
"Wait, I thought Imps didn''t need to eat?" I asked Blue, surprised with his Imp action.
"They don''t need to eat, but when you possess them, you can try out the food!"
"Oh, how does it taste?" I asked Blue about my red cube slimes.
"Good, tastes like strawberry, different from mine, wich is blueberries."
Blue told that the slimes were the same color as the Heart Cores, and their flavor were unique per color.
This wasn''t the only food available, but first I had to explore this realm, especially the surface where most creatures lived.
"Could you explore the surface with me then?" I asked Blue, as the rooms were finally completed, I had nothing else to do with the exception of awaiting for my Imp to bring more gold.
"Ah, yes, thats the next step, you and I could make a small warband with Robur, one of your Imps, a few of my minions and then..."
Blue stopped his speech and looked at the tunnel once more as Krogar sprinted out of the food storage, returning to his home.
"Tch.."
"Is something wrong?" I asked Blue, as he seemed angry.
"Please possess one of your Imps and come to my Sleeping chamber as fast as you can!" He screamed at me as his Imp ran away following Krogar.
(What the hell is happening?)
Quickly possessing my Imp, I ran towards Blue''s Sleeping chamber.
"Hey, you''re here!" Blue''s Imp was waiting for me.
"Yeah... so what is..."
Before I could finish my question, Blue interrupted me.
"Follow me, quick! Do not fall behind!"
I had no chance to answer as he went past the door going the opposite way of his Heart Core Room.
I followed him for a few minutes, passing by several doors and reaching a new type of room that I did not have.
This room was fully guarded by Krogar, three other orcs and several goblins.
"Come, keep running!" Blue told me as he got past the guarded room.
This room was the end of his territorial body, and the rest of the path was simply made of earth and random rocks.
After running for a few more minutes, changing directions, we reached the last corner.
There was two other Imps standing there, it seemed they were watching out for something.
"Take a look at the corner for just a second, then quickly return, make sure they do not see you!" (Blue)
"Very well..." I told him, a bit confused about what was this situation all about.
Slowly walking to the corner, I decided get down, with my Imps head poking out, I saw several new creatures and turned back around fast, returning to Blue''s Imp.
"What were those?" I asked Blue.
"Pink skins!"
Day 1, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 6
In a peaceful fantasy tropical rainforest, at the roots of the trees, a strange small creature was passing throughout them, at first it looked that the creature was exploring.
Then the calm and peacefullness was lost, with the sudden arrow flying from behind the creature, with intense speed, it broke the rainforest''s silence with the noise that the arrow made, entering the creature''s skull from behind.
Having a fast death, it did not even have time to turn his back around, to see who had killed him.
That creature was no other than an Imp, a blue level 4 Imp.
Coming in sight, leaving the cover of the trees, new lifeforms appeared, they had pink skin, but they were not of the same race.
The one that had shot the little Imp, was a sizeable female creature of 1,8 metres, with pink skin, blond hair and sharp long ears, holding the bow that had shot the deadly arrow, wearing green cloth clothes.
"The coast is cleared my friends." The elf said to his comrades.
"Na beasts in sight? ah wanted tae gie they guys a taste o'' mah ain axe!" Closing in behind the elf, a small pink skin creature was slowly walking to her, with a long red beard and the size of 1,5 metres, a dwarf.
This dwarf had more armour and carried a shield of spikes and an axe, unlike his friendly elven archer who had only a bow.
"Do not worry my friend, at which hour we reach the chaos lord''s dungeon, you shall have much to do!" A third figure replied to the dwarf, measuring 1,8 metres, with silver colored armour and a greatsword, he was a human, with a black smaller beard compared to the dwarf.
The dwarf and elf looked back, they were surprised to see this human.
"Inquisitor, please bade wi'' oor main force, tae lose ye, wid be a muckle loss fur oor maist wondrous empire!" The dwarf asked the human, for both he and the elf cared about his safety.
"Please accept mine own apologies, but my own lodging is at the front of the battlefield!" The Human inquisitor insisted on staying with the scouting unit.
"Aye!" The dwarf accepted.
Suddenly, another blue Imp appeared, coming from the direction in wich the pink skins where heading out.
But once again, the archer, with another arrow, quickly disposed of this new enemy scout.
The scouting Unit continued its way, without noticing that they were being watched by a black crow stading on one of the nearby trees.
As they left the area, continuing forward, the crow stood his position, awaiting to see if something else was following the three warriors.
A few moments afterwards, a new group appeared, this one was larger in size, with heavy armored warriors leading the way to meet with their Inquisitor.
Blue:
The decision to leave some of my Imps to patrol the surface area near my territorial body was good one, but I never had thought that such a high level Inquisitor would be searching for me.
(The flock of crows that I accepted as my minions are good for something after all!)
I immediately ordered all of my minions on the surface to return, so I could prepare for the possible battle that was soon to happen.
(It seems the Inquisitor''s level is above 23, the two accompanying him are both level 16 and most of the main group are level 8 or 9.) I informed Krogar as I had ordered him to leave Red''s territory.
My orcs were level 8, but I only had a short number of them, a dozen of my goblins were between level 6 and 8, while most of my minions where below level 6.
"Milord, is it not possible to use your move spell?" Krogar suggested to his master, as he prepared the strongest warriors in the Garrison room.
(Yes, but if I do it right now, Red will be destroyed, so first I must make him learn the spell.) I informed Krogar.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
This was not the first time I had encountered a stronger enemy than me, but we Heart Cores had a special spell, from wich we could teleport both our bodies and all of our belongings to a random area.
The name of this spell is "Another Chance", and it could only be used every 60 days.
And the reason why I told Red to bring his possessed Imp, was to see if he could get the spell once he had the sight of this much stronger enemy.
(Be ready for the order to fight the pink skins, but also be prepared to fall back at any time!)
"Yes Milord!" Krogar roared.
Red:
"Pink skins!" Blue informed me of what I had seen.
"So those are pink skins?" I mumbled as I got a new tab informing me of a new spell.
You have encountered an enemy much stronger than you!
Another Chance spell is now unlocked!
"I got a new spell!" I informed Blue, with my Imp releasing a smile.
"Is it Another Chance?" Blue asked me.
"Yeah, how do you know that?"
"Because that is the reason I asked you to come here! We both must use it to escape from the pink skins as they are too strong!"
Blue was very nervous as he took threat very seriously, he hurried my Imp to follow him again to his Sleeping Chamber.
Again I ran after him, but this time, after passing trough the room full of his warriors, there was also plenty of reserve goblins guarding the path alongside with many other small creatures.
"They killed another two Imps!" Blue''s Imp screamed in the open.
I ordered my Imp who was mining gold to return the moment I listened to Blue''s scream.
We ran and ran until our imps reached the exit of his sleeping chamber that led to my territorial body.
"This is it, goodbye and good luck, and I hope we see each other again in the future... Hopefully not as enemies..." Blue bid farewell the moment my Imp left his territorial body.
"But..." I tried to reply to him, but I did not even had a chance to say goodbye.
Everything that he had, disappeared, the room that was once a sleeping chamber, turned into a normal cavern.
"I guess now its my turn..." I mumbled as my Imp kept running back to my territory.
With the possession spell canceled, Robur and my two imps stood in the Heart room.
"Boss, is something wrong?" Robur asked me.
"It is nothing Robur, just make sure to guard this room." I ordered my named goblin and imps.
I had a strange pain in my thoughts, and so much confusion, but finaly I decided to use the spell.
(Sigh, I want to use the Another chance spell...)
Using Another Chance will cost you 20 mana and will only be available again in 60 days.
Do you wish to use this skill?
Yes?
No?
(Yes...)
Inquisitor:
Until now, our expedition only encountered two small demons, but at the moment we arrived at the dungeon''s entrance, I felt a strong presence, assuring how our intel was right about this location, and so I ordered our scouting party to wait for the main force.
A battle force of 50 men was under my command, with 20 of them being my personal guard, at the beginning, I was still unsure if we had enough men to face a threat of a Chaos lord, so I was glad when the mayor of closest town agreed to support me with 30 foot soldiers, and while they were not as strong as my men, having backup was always an advantadge.
The moment our main force arrived, I immediately ordered my heavy infantry to lead forward.
"Careful men! We do not know what crawls inside this fiendish carvern!" I warned my warriors, following them from behind along with the elven girl who lead my ranged troops, while my reinforcements were in the back, as a reserve troop.
"Shift wi'' caution mah comrades!" Said the dwarven warrior, taking the lead of the heavy infantry.
We moved slowly, taking extra care for every corner as we did not know what evils would be under this Chaos lord''s control.
Reaching a corner, the dwarven warrior was the first to sprint, as he encountered the first supposed defensive enemy force.
"Only two babbling demons?" The dwarven said, as he slashed the first blue Imp with his axe.
Following him, one of the heavy armored warriors threw his spear at the second Imp who tried to escape the fate of his kin, that same warrior quickly drew his sword after the trowing in case there was a hidden enemy.
"Strange, where are the monsters? The monstrous vile orcs and despicable goblins?" I asked my warriors the question that everyone was having in their minds.
This was a strange situation, I thought of the possibility of a major trap.
But I was wrong, the previous strong presence suddenly got much weaker.
"No! The terrible vile escapes!" I screamed at my men, running past them, going deeper underground.
"Inquisitor! Hauld yer horses!" The dwarf asked his commander, as their unit was trying to keep up with their leader.
Suddenly the weaker presence totally disappeared.
Stoping to a halt, my men finally caught up with me.
"The Chaos Lord... has escaped!" I informed my men.
Disappointed at myself, I no longer took lead and instead left my men the duty of inspecting the empty caverns.
The Elven archer approached me as I sat on a rock in the middle of one of the largest caverns.
Laying down next to me, she held my arm, trying to comfort me.
"Do not worry my love, the Chaos Lord shall not escape next time as you are a mighty Inquisitor." She mumbled to me, giving me a warm kiss.
Day 1, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 7
"Boss?... Boss you there?... Boss!"
The goblin Robur kept calling his leader, nervous that something was wrong as he wasn''t answering.
(What the hell happened? And what is this pain that I am feeling?)
Frozen for a few minutes, while listening to Robur''s words, I could not answer him while the only thing that I felt, was a hangover.
Finally, I answered as the pain was dissipating.
"I... am fine Robur."
"Boss fine? Good!" The goblin shouted as he punched his chest. "Robur not hungry or sleepy! Boss give order to Robur?"
(Ah, fuck, the pain is increasing, what the hell!)
It seemed that this hangover would not disappear so fast.
Looking at my minions, I slowly started to think on what to do.
"Robur, for now, I ask you to wait." I told the goblin warrior.
"Yes Boss!" Robur agreed.
(Show me Spell tab.)
Possession spell
Cost: 5 mana
Basic Info:
Using this spell will allow the Heart Core possess a minion of its choosing.
Another Chance
Cost: 20 mana
Basic Info:
Allows a Heart Core to move his territorial body and possessions including minions to a random location.
Can only be used once every 60 days.
(Why doesn''t it say anything regarding the pain?)
As the tab disappeared, I looked at the Resource UI on the right top of my view.
Tiles:22/30 Gold:140 Mana:68/125 (-125)
(My mana seems to be recovering well, but I am not pleased with this tile limit and gold quantity.
What would Blue do in this situation? Perhaps explore? But when we last spoke of this matter he made clear that 1 goblin would not be enough.)
It did not take long until I finally decided to explore, while it was safe to hide and the supplies were enough to last for the rest of my life, just the boredom of staring at my minions who had nothing to do was enough to declare new orders.
"Robur!" I called my only goblin.
"Yes Boss?"
"It is time to explore, for now, protect the Imps while they dig forward!"
With haste, my level 3 and 2 Imps ran towards the last claimed tiles and started to dig out forward.
Meanwhile Robur stood behind them, holding a dagger with his right hand as his second weapon remained on his belt.
Slowly the path was cleared, tile by tile of dirt.
The pickaxes released their impact sounds, forming a repeated melody, to be paused everytime with tiny earthquake sound.
One...
Two...
Three...
Four...
Five...
Six...
Seven...
Eight...
Nine...
Ten...
After 10 tiles, the pickaxe sounds stopped, the Imps finally encountered something new, a big dark room.
(Ah, was wondering how long it would take to find something!)
Ordering the Imps to hold position, I decided to let Robur investigate.
(What do you think Robur?) I asked Robur as he passed my Imps, reaching the room.
"Boss, seems like a normal cave."
One of the good things in goblins and Imps is that their vision in the dark is perfect.
"Boss, wait, noise!" Robur looked around holding tighter his dagger as he searched for the source of new sounds.
At first it was not noticeable, but now it was clear, my minions were not alone in the room as tiny squeaks could be heard.
(Find the source, and the Imps will cover your back!)
As the Imps joined behind Robur, he moved forward, with each step the squeak sounds were higher.
(What''s that?)
As Robur reached the center of this room, there some sort of dirt mound who was camouflaged thanks to its surroundings.
With another step, it was clear now trough Robur''s vision, this room was a nest, as the center of the mound was full of rats with black fur.
(What are those?)
"Boss, these Ratman cubs, family be near!" Robur informed me.
With his left hand, he picked up one of them.
"Eyes not open, no threat yet."
The little ratman started to squeak even higher as he disliked being held by Robur.
(Drop it. The noises might alarm its parents.)
At my words he instantly dropped the little ratman on the floor, the poor beast released his final sound as he broke his head at the impact with the ground.
"Weak pup" Robur looked down, despising the baby.
(Watch out!)
Robur looked upwards, distracted by the death of the ratman baby, he failed to see that a level 2 ratman was charging into his position.
"I kill you!" Robur shouted at the ratman, but it had no effect as he was enraged by the death of his younger kin.
Jumping above the nest, he tackled Robur, making him fall on his back.
"Squeak squeak!" The ratman screamed as he did its best to kill Robur.
Robur was unable to use his dagger, as the ratman pushed Robur''s right hand with his paws, in turn, Robur with his left hand pushed the ratman''s chin upwards to avoid his sharp teeth.
(You are not allowed to die yet!)
With my command, my level 3 Imp joined the fight, swinging his pickaxe, piercing the ratman''s skull, causing instant death and spilling blood everywhere.
"Thanks Boss!"
Pushing the dead body to his side, Robur rose up and drew his left dagger.
"Boss, I kill pups?" Robur had a great wish to kill the rest of the ratmen young.
Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.
(Not yet, first let''s make sure the big ones are dead.)
Another Ratman appeared in the direction where the first one ratman came, from wich a tunnel marked this room''s exit.
(Do not rush and take precautions.)
"Yes Boss!" Rubor shouted as he and the Imps walked slowly to second Ratman.
Countering my minion''s actions, the ratman screamed.
"Squeak! Squeak!"
Answering his call, two new ratmen joined him, and a second later, the three level 1 ratmen charged against their invaders.
(Kill them!)
Robur smiled as he listened to my words appeared in his mind.
The second ratman jumped into Robur, but this time he dodged this new enemy.
"You die!" With a shout, Robur jumped on the back of the ratman and plunged his daggers into the back of the enemy neck, releasing more red blood.
At the same moment, the fourth ratman charged my level 3 Imp, wich reacted by swinging his pickaxe, perforating the left side of the ratman''s head, causing another instant kill.
The last ratman charged my level 2 Imp, but suddenly stoped before my Imp, screaming in pain as Robur had throw one of his daggers that hit the ratman''s left leg.
With this opportunity, my weakest minion finished his enemy with a pickaxe headshot.
Robur took a few steps to the enemy body to recover his weapon, spilling even more blood.
It seemed like the ratmen where the same size of goblins, but seemed smaller because they walked on four legs.
"Boss wins!" Robur shouted, holding his daggers high celebrating victory.
But this was too early to claim victory as a last creature appeared.
(I guess thats the leader?)
Twice larger than the her ratmen kin, a level 4 ratman stood in front of Robur and the Imps, with sharper claws compared to the former ones, it was the matriarch, mother of this nest.
At the sight of this creature, Robur held his daggers, awaiting for my command.
Suddenly she roared at my minions rising up and standing on her legs, like a bear, furious at the sight of her dead children.
I looked at her throughout my minions eyes, a higher level, with 0 loyalty, it was clear what it had to be done.
(Kill her!)
"I kill you!" Robur shouted as he and my Imps charged the matriarch with daggers and pickaxes.
(This is new!)
While the three minions charged at the same time, it seemed like the Imps were way faster.
As Robur noticed how the Imps would reach the enemy faster, anger surged, not at the Imps, but to himself.
Furiously, he threw one of his daggers at the matriarch, even if he was slower, at least he would have the satisfaction of being the first to hit the enemy leader.
The dagger flew into the Mother''s direction, but with another roar, she received the dagger on the left side of her chest, prepared to fight her enemies.
The level 3 Imp was the first to reach this enemy, with swift speed of his arms, striking from the right, he plunged his pickaxe into the matriarch''s left arm.
Screaming by both the pain and rage, the matriarch with frute force, rotated her left arm from the right to the left, hitting the Imp like a whip and trowing him 3 meters away, making the Imp hit the ground.
Not wasting any time, the level 2 Imp did the same as his kin, but this time, striking from the left, the pickaxe was aimed at the enemies right leg.
The Matriarch, wich still had the first pickaxe in her left arm, rotated that same arm to the opposite side, to hit the second Imp.
While the second Imp got throw away, this hit damaged more the matriarch, as the pickaxe hit her left leg, her enemy did not let the weapon go, and as he flew away, a chunk of meat from her leg also followed the flying Imp, forcing her fall on four legs.
She roared again and again, endless screams confirmed the Imp''s damage on her.
Taking his chance, Robur finally reached his enemy, immediately jumping and landing on the back of the matriarch, drowning his dagger into her back.
The pain was unbearable as she tried to rise on her two legs trying to reach the goblin with her arms.
But it was useless as the goblin was faster, going between her arms, Robur descended, grabbing his first dagger which was still in her chest.
Cutting the enemies body, from the chest to her stomach, her entrails dropped into the floor, causing the matriarch to reach her death.
Goblin Robur has reached level 4!
Imp has reached level 4!
Imp has reached level 3!
"Boss, Me kill ratman cubs?" Robur asked me with desire as he approached ratmen young.
(Uh, Yes.)
Acting like a child who had received a bunch of candies, Robur slowly picked up a ratman cub at a time, and with his hand, he simply broke their tiny necks.
You have defeated an enemy faction!
Heart Core level experience has been unlocked on the Resource UI!
You have been awarded with 1 Experience Point!
I was not expecting a new thing to be unlocked.
(Finally, I know what is needed to level up!)
XP:1/10 Tiles:22/30 Gold:140 Mana:91/125 (-125)
(9 more times...)
It seemed like it would be a grind to level up.
Not wasting anymore time, I commanded my minions.
(Let''s keep exploring, Robur, you and an Imp shall follow the tunnel where the ratmen came from.)
Throwing the last dead baby body to the ground, Robur nodded. "Yes Boss!"
While Robur and the level 4 Imp headed towards the tunnel, the second Imp''s job was to drag the bodies to my territorial body.
Day 1, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 8
I decided to store the corpses in my Heart Room, as I already had a good quantity of slimes in the food storage and I did not want them multiply even further.
Robur and my Imp still explored the tunnel, counting from that last room, I estimated that they walked at least 20 tiles, until they reached a room of around 9 tiles, on the opposite side the tunnel kept going forward.
"Boss, Ratman ate food here." Robur told me as he checked the room, at first sight it seemed empty, but if you took a closer look, tiny pieces of bones were spread throughout this room.
(Keep going forward.)
"Yes Boss!"
As they walked to the tunnel, Robur stoped as he noticed something.
"Uh, Boss?"
(Yes?)
"Boss, tunnel slow upwards, maybe we reach surface?" He told me, resuming his walk.
(Surface?)
"Boss, surface, many things live in surface." Robur informed me as he pointed upwards.
After a few more steps, I could see trough Robur''s eyes, there was a light at the end of the tunnel.
"Exit!" Robur shouted as he ran towards it.
(The surface...)
Robur and the imp reached the exit, showing a new location.
The exit was a small mountain, and bellow, a vast forest covered with a mantle of snow could be seen from their location, divided by several mountains wich spread across the land.
Additionally due to the cold weather, mists could be seen across the land, and the sun was barely visible with dark clouds owning the skies.
From the exit, started a small path, leading down the mountain into the forest.
"Boss, Robur explore more?"
(Yes, but be on your guard.)
Robur and the Imp continued their way downwards the mountain.
"Boss, almost night, Robur loves night!" Robur said, as goblins had an excellent night vision that gave them advantages over other races.
With the Imp following Robur, he seemed to be troubled as I could see trough the Imp''s eyes that Robur was trembling.
(Are you alright?)
"Yes, yes Boss..." Robur replied, still trembling.
"B-Boss?"
(Yes?)
"If we find enemy with good fur, can Robur keep fur?"
What was he asking about? I was confused at his request, but then, I remembered Blue''s minions.
All of them had some sort clothes wich almost covered their bodies.
Robur in the other hand was shirtless and shoeless.
And unlike the imps, goblins did not have a strong resistance against low and high temperatures.
The more I thought, the more concerned I got about this matter, losing a minion at this point could be catastrophic for me.
(Maybe you should return? You can use one of the ratmen''s fur.) I suggested.
Robur suddenly stopped, making my level 4 Imp bump into his back, I wondered if he decided to follow my suggestion.
But I was wrong, he was actually shocked at my words.
I could only see his back trough the eyes of my imp and his vision, so I could not notice his facial expression.
"Boss... No need, Robur strong!" He proclaimed, punching his chest with the left hand, in an attempt to hide his cold and diminish his trembling.
(Then keep going...)
With a nod from Robur, the 2 minions resumed their walk.
Finally, the party of two reached the end of the mountain path, giving now the choice to decide wich direction they would take to explore.
"Way better now." Robur mumbled.
(What''s better?)
"Ah!?" Robur was about to speak, but paused for a moment, thinking twice about his answer.
"Big forest to explore!" He answered.
(Is that so?) I told him, but I had a feeling that he was simply trying to change subject, since I was more focused on checking our whereabouts, instead of inquiring him, I gave a new order.
(Lets check the forest bit by bit, head into... the right direction.)
"Yes Boss!" Robur happily followed his command.
It turned out that Robur was happier to leave the mountain path, as it was full of strong cold winds unlike the forest, wich had its trees to provide some cover.
Meanwhile on my territorial body, my level 2 Imp finished bringing the ratmen bodies to the Heart Core room with the exception of the matriarchs body.
Staring at the body pile, wich situated on the right side of the heart room, wich opposed to the gold pile.
"I remember!"
With haste, the imp picked up a ratman corpse and dragged it to the sleeping chamber.
"If I recall it, I think Blue''s sleeping chamber had stuff hanging on the walls by the blue rubies."
As the Imp reached one of the walls inside the sleeping chamber with the body, the red ruby descended the wall while growing a red metal point wich allowed the Imp to stick the mouth of the ratman on it.
With the body in position, the red ruby ascended, returning to its place, and with it, the dead body followed.
The Imp repeated the same action for all the bodies, with the exception of the matriarch and cubs.
Only a few seconds passed, and four ratman hagged in the walls of the sleeping chamber, giving it some sort of decoration.
"That looks a bit better, but I wonder what would happen if I tried this on the food storage?"
With another order, the Imp was commanded to bring one of the four ratman bodies to the food storage, reaching the first wall section on the left, but, the Imp waited for nothing as the ruby did not descended.
"It doesn''t count the meat of ratman as food?"
And so the Imp was ordered to return the body to the sleeping chamber.
"Now go get the matriarch''s body." I commanded my level 2 Imp as he swiftly ran towards the big unclaimed room.
Back at Robur''s exploration party.
(Hey Robur, still nothing?)
"No Boss, just trees and snow!" Robur informed me.
The goblin and the Imp kept walking, with each step, their feet would go deep under the snow, but unlike the mountain path''s winds, Robur seemed not to be affected by the cold snow on his feet.
As the party started to go up a hill wich was also had part of the vast sea of trees, the reason they were going there was that after passing that hill, they could reach the roots of another mountain like the one they came from.

(Robur, can you goblins eat Ratman?)
"Yes Boss, ratman meat tasty!" The goblin kept walking as he spoke, release a giggle. "kuk, but remove fur first, ratman fur, make stomach pain."
"So thats why the storage room did not accept the body..." I mumbled back at my heart core room.
(Can you remove the furs of the ratman when you return?)
"Robur follows Boss orders, will remove ratman fur!" The goblin punched his chest.
Suddenly the party stopped midway to the top, and crouched their bodies to the ground, several barking and growling sounds could be heard, coming from the other side of the hill.
(What am I hearing?)
"Mutts..." Robur said in a low voice. "Boss, what we do?"
"I wonder what mutts are? Can I make them my minions? Are they strong? How to they look?" With a bunch of mumbling questions on my heart core room and forgetting the choice of ignoring or retreating from that area, another order was given.
(Reach the top. I am interested in seeing those mutts!)
"Uh, yes Boss..."
Robur picked up his daggers, the level 3 Imp took out his pickaxe from his back and cautiously headed to the top.
Upon reaching the top, the goblin had laid down on the snow while the Imp remained a few steps back, watching the rear, the goblin slowly crawled to see what was happening on the other side.
"Blood smell..." Robur mumbled, the wind was against the party, bringing the scent of fresh blood.
"Boss, mutts fighting!" My goblin told me, staring at the scene of the conflict.
Just a few meters below Robur, several brown and gray furry blooded bodies laid spread on the ground, giving a new paint of red to the white mantle of snow.
They were wolves, with the same size as the normal ratman, two wolfpacks had been fighting to the death, dozens laid dead and in the middle of this battlefield, only two level 2 brown wolves remained alive, moving towards Robur, each had had a 40 on their loyalty status.
"Boss, look mutt cubs!" He informed me.
(For a second I thought they were moving against you.)
"No no no, Boss, Robur well hidden, wind good, mutts cannot find Robur." He spoke in a low voice.
I took a closer look at the cubs. They were gray, laying low right next to a dead gray wolf, wich would make impossible for me to notice them unless Robur had informed me.
(How many cubs are there? I can''t see what their loyalty is with them sticking so close together!)
One of the brown wolves reached the gray cubs, picking one of them up and instantly breaking the neck''s cub with his mouth.
Before the cub''s death, I could see clearly, the cub had 70 loyalty.
(KILL THOSE FUCKING BROWN MUTTS NOW!)
Robur got startled by my raging voice, trembling for a second before giving me a reply.
"Y-Yes Boss! KILL!" The goblin roared as he stood up, with the Imp coming to his right side, giving a scary moment to the brown wolves wich made them stop from killing the other cubs.
The wolves moved upwards slowly, staring at the new enemies, giving a constant growl, prepared for the clash.
(You aren''t going to throw a dagger?)
"Mutts fast Boss." Robur told me, he still stood his position, so I ordered the Imp to keep close as well.
Seeing the enemy holding position, the wolves charged forward, each aiming to strike a different enemy.
The first brown wolve reached Robur, jumping to bite his neck, in return, Robur took one step back and with his arm, he plunged a dagger right in the wolf, aiming for his neck, but instead, the dagger cut his way up and dived on his chin to the nose.
Robur had scored another instant kill.
The second brown wolf was more successful, jumping into the Imp, throwing him back and grabbing his left arm with his teeth, pushing and chewing, trying to rip it off, but suddenly, he decided to leave the Imp and take a few steps back.
With a last glance of the death wolf, the brown survivor wolf turned and simply ran away with haste.
"You won''t escape from Boss!" Robur roared as he threw his daggers at the fleeing target, after dodging the first dagger, the brown wolf barked as the second one had hit his left back leg, making him lose balance and fall down the hill, hitting his head on a large random rock.
(Good job Robur!)
"Thanks Boss!" He punched his chest, proud of his victory.
While Robur went to fetch his weapons, the Imp was ordered to check the gray cubs.
"These Imps are weak in combat, but their stamina, resistance and recovering skills are broken... Heck, even their strength is amazing!" I mumbled as I saw my level 2 Imp bringing the matriarch corpse to the heart room and then checking the level 3 Imp''s wounds.
Again in seconds, the Imp''s wounds had been healed immediately once the fight was over, the same happened after the fight against the ratman matriarch.
The level 3 Imp reached the gray cubs position, only to be joined a few moments later by Robur.
I kept staring at what was left of the pack, 5 cubs remained, most of them remained next to the dead gray wolf, it seemed like it was their parent and the four of them trembled, scared of the Imp wich dwarfed the cubs.
The fifth cub, unlike the rest of his kin, was curious about their "rescuers" and slowly approached Robur.
"Boss, Robur kill cubs?" He asked, seeing the lone cub coming closing, thinking he was hostile.
(Do not harm them. I want them brought alive and well to me.)
I wanted them. One of my priorities was to get more minions, more minions than Blue, for some reason, I had the desire to reach and surpass Blue.
They had 70 loyalty, and there was no way for them to actually beat Robur, level 1 tiny cubs against a mature level 4 goblin armed with daggers?
My decision was that as long as I had mana, space and food, I would hoard anything above 60 loyalty with the exception of pink skins.
With a nob, Robur picked and held the lone cub on his arms, causing the little one to lick his greenish face.
"Boss, Robur likes this cub!" The goblin told me as he pats the cub, releasing a smile, in turn, the cub happily rubbed his head on Robur''s right hand.
Meanwhile, the Imp picked the group of four cubs, giving no struggle, one by one they got into the warm Imp''s back.
(Return home.)
"Boss, and mutt bodies?" Robur asked as he still pat the cub.
I took a look at the warzone, showing more than 40 dead wolves.
(How many bodies can you bring?) I asked the goblin.
"One, Boss" He replied.
(Very well, bring one then.)
As Robur picked one, I also ordered the Imp to bring what he could.
Since the Imp could not put his pickaxe on his back, he had to carry the weapon on his right hand, limiting him to bring two brown wolf bodies on his left shoulder wich required the support of his entire left arm to hold the loot.
Robur did the same, holding one brown wolf on his left right shoulder.
For a second Robur thought of bringing a second brown wolf, but immediately dismissed that option as the path to home was not completely safe.
Finally, the party started it''s journey back home.
Day 1, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 9
I got bored as Robur''s party was still far from returning home so I decided to check my stats.
(Show me my stats.)
Name: Red
Race: Heart Core
Level: 1
XP:1/10
Mana: 124/125 (-125)
Mana Regeneration: 1 per minute
Tiles:22/30
Gold: 140
Minions: 3
Rooms: 2
Spells: 2
"Now that I remember, I think I got something unlocked before, uh, what was it?" I mumbled in the heart room.
(Show me traps tab!)
There are no traps available.
"Strange, oh wait! Theres another one!" I shouted.
(Give me that extra...object tab?)
Wood Door
Cost:10 mana
Basic Info:
Wood door can be used to close off rooms and serve as basic protection against outsiders.
Can withstand more attacks than regular doors due to the mana used on its creation.
(Since I got all of my mana back, let''s try getting some doors? Three should be enough for now.)
For me, it seemed like a waste to not use mana when it was fully restored, and if possible, I would always spend just a bit of it.
(Yeah, 3 doors, give me one at each room entrance.)
Each Wood Door will cost you 10 mana, a total of 30 mana will be used to produce the 3 doors at the desired locations.
Do you wish to proceed?
Yes?
No?
(Yes, please.)
In that moment, 3 fire spirits left my heart core, moving with haste towards their separate places and immediately formed 3 doors.
After the doors were spawned, I could open and close them at will, but then, there was nothing much to do, the ratman matriarch remained on my heart core room for now, as it''s major cut by Robur made impossible to hang the body on the walls without making a bloody mess.
My level 2 Imp would be on guard duty while I would wait for the rest of my minions to return.
"Wish I had a few maids to clean the bodies and remove the furs.. Wait.. What were maids again?" I mumbled about random things as I waited for them to return.
(How about I send my level 2 Imp to dig a new tunnel? Wait, no, thats a bad idea, what if he finds another ratman nest? Or something worst!)
(Its seems like they safely reached the starting point of the mountain path.)
Looking again at my mana, it had recovered half of what I had spent on the doors, this made me realize something.
"I hope those mutts don''t cost as much as the Imps!"
More time passed and Robur''s party finally reached the entrance.
(30 minutes to return, that means 1 hour travel to get some "loot"?)
My level 2 Imp ran trough the tunnel, reaching Robur.
(Give him the corpses, you and the first Imp shall bring me those cubs!)
"Yes Boss!" Robur roared at my command.
Robur and the level 3 Imp kept walking to my heart room with the cubs, while the level 2 picked up the 3 corpses and ran past them.
"Show off..." Robur released a smile as he mumbled at the speedy Imp.
After walking a bit more, Robur and the Imp reached the door of the heart room.
"Boss made doors?" Robur asked his Boss as the door opened by itself, allowing them to come forward.
(Yes, doors can be useful.)
As they entered the room, the wolf cub that Robur carried, locked his yellow eyes on my monstrous red eye and made no sound, he simply seemed to wait for a reaction from me.
(He doesn''t seem afraid?) I asked Robur.
"No Boss, this cub good!" He told me as the Imp started to pick up the cubs from his back and putting them slowly on the ground one by one.
Unlike the first cub, the other four laid down on the ground, trembling of fear at seeing me while my Imp blocked their path of escape as well as the door that had closed.
(Bring that cub closer.) I ordered Robur.
"Yes, Boss!" Robur nodded as he walked the altar''s stairs.
As the pup was put on the ground, Robur descended the stairs, resuming his former position.
(So, how do I do this?)
The gray pups kept staring at me and 10 seconds later, a pop up appeared.
A wolfpack of 5 wolves wishes to become your minions.
Each wolf will consume 25 mana, costing a total of 100 mana, do you accept them?
Yes?
No?
(That was easy! I don''t even need to talk to them? Cool! Yes, I accept them!)If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
Warning!
These new minions are still on their infant age, mana cost of each wolf shall be decreased to 15 mana, they will not receive the recruitment level bonus and name function will not be available until they leave this stage.
(Uh? I guess it''s fair...)
Five fire spirits left my heart core, dancing around me for 3 seconds, then, each headed to a cub.
The cubs made painful barking noises, as each consumed a spirit, with their tiny pawns, they released their claws, trying to scratch the floor, trying to maintain their posture, trying to maintain their consciousness.
As they closed their eyes, from their bellies, part of their fur started to burn, showing part of their skin, wich turned black, forming an 8 tattoo.
Once the pain was gone, the cubs opened their eyes, wich were now bloody red and released a long howling as a tribute to their savior and master.
"THAT IS ENOUGH!" I commanded my new minions.
"Great Patriarch!" The young cub on top of the altar spoke. "Thank you for saving us, if it''s your wish, we will follow you from now on!"
"I welcome you to my house, gray wolves, I am interested in hearing your story in these lands."
(Robur, go get some food to your new comrades, and they must be starving.)
"Yes Boss!" Robur immediately punched his chest and ran out to the food storage.
"Great Patriarch, I don''t know much as I am still young, when I was born, our great wolfpack had a great territory, we lived well, our big brothers and sisters protected us, but 7 days ago, our patriarch told us to run away into the brown wolfpack territory!"
"Until the fourth day, no troubles occurred." The small cub growled, angry at his next words. "But then, our wolfpack was broken, many were displeased at the patriarch, and a battle begun... We could only watch as many of our family died at the hands of each other!"
"The patriarch''s side managed to win, and we kept moving, two days passed and many more died to their wounds or by the ambushes of the brown wolves, on the sixth day the patriarch died to protect us, a day after another brown wolf group ambushed of what was left of our wolf pack and you know what happened next!"
"So, you are the only survivors?" I asked the cub.
"Some gray wolves disappeared on these 7 days, but I don''t know if they are alive..."
"Boss, I brought food!" Robur shouted as he entered the room, caring a small pile of slimes on his arms.
"Ah! Good! Little cubs, you must be starving right? Do not be afraid, eat the slimes."
At my words, the four cubs below ran towards Robur as he dropped the slimes on the floor.
"Are you not hungry?" I asked the cub.
"Great Patriarch, I thought this was brown wolf territory, am I wrong? Is this your land?"
"Like you, I only arrived recently here and plan to make this land my own, perhaps I might have to remove the brown wolves later on."
"Great Patriarch! Then we will follow your orders and if the brown wolves get in your way, we shall bite their necks off!" The cub proudly stated.
"Yes, but for now, eat and rest, you must replenish your strength!"
"Yes Great Patriarch!" The cub bowed his head to me and with haste joined his brothers to feast upon the slimes.
Meanwhile, Robur walked the stairs upon the top of the altar, and he looked at the cubs for a few seconds then turned to me, slowly whispering.
"Uh, Boss, you speak mutt?"
(Mutt?)
"Yes Boss."
(Didn''t you hear that cub just speaking?)
"No Boss, Robur only heard it barking while Boss spoke normally!" Robur whispered.
(Normal? I can understand them very well.)
"Boss! You really Great Boss! You even talk Mutt language!" Robur spoke with pride as he punched his chest.
(Once the cubs finish their meal, show them around their new home then get some rest, eat if you''re hungry, afterwards I want you to start skinning the furs of the dead bodies in the sleeping chamber.)
"Yes Boss!" Robur punched his chest again and returned to the cubs position.
While Robur was doing his new tasks, I ordered my two Imps to leave, they would return to the previous location to bring more brown wolf bodies.
(I think I will ignore the gray wolf corpses, the last thing I want is for the cubs loyalty to drop upon seeing Robur skinning their family!)
The night went smoothly, Robur showed the rooms to the cubs, once they entered the sleeping chamber, 5 baskets of the same size of Robur''s bed spawned and compared to the cubs, they were really big as just one of them could easily be the bed for all 5 cubs.
The Imps also brought several brown wolf bodies, once the sleeping chamber''s walls were filled, they were put on the hallway''s walls and also on my heart core room''s walls.
I had now total of 26 brown wolves, 4 ratman, 1 ratman matriarch and 12 ratman cub corpses.
I had also spawned a new slime everytime my mana reached 124 as I wanted to abuse my mana regeneration to the max and as that room was not used for a while, the slimes started to stack on each other saving a great deal of space.
First Robur focused making one ratman fur, cutting it into pieces, turning them into gloves and shoes for him to wear.
Then he focused on the brown wolves, and 8 brow fur coats were made, once I tried again, the food storage walls accepted those bodies without fur, it seemed that from now on, I would have to remove the furs if I wanted to fill the food storage walls.
As the second day was about to begin, I used the possession spell on my level 3 Imp and ran towards the entrance and there, I watched my first sunrise.
Day 2, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 10
Two hours after sunrise, inside a dark room, deep in the mountain, a creature laid on the groud, covered with a blanket.
The creature was Robur, my named minion.
"Morning Boss!" He shouted with pride.
(Good morning Robur, but keep it low, the cubs are still sleeping.)
Rising from his bed, Robur realised his mistake and whispered.
"Sorry Boss, Orders?"
(Eat and prepare to move out.)
Robur nodded and proceed to the food storage.
"Boss, do I go to same direction?" Robur asked his master as he kept eating slime, one by one.
(No, yesterday we explored the right direction of the end of the mountain path, today, you must go to the left as the previous one might have a higher chance of brown wolf encounters.)
"Boss, not worries! Robur can kill brown mutts!" He said with pride while punching his chest.
(Forget it. You might beat two, maybe three at the same time, but if they move in big groups like the one of yesterday, it will be impossible, unless you can promise me that you can beat 20 wolves on your own?)
"No Boss, too many..." The goblin said as he made a sad face.
(For now, lets just explore, perhaps we might find more gray wolves to increase our ranks.)
"Yes Boss!" Again, Robur punched his chest, giving a big smile.
As he finished his meal, Robur walked to the exit, meeting up with the level 4 Imp and descended the mountain path.
Then, Robur paused at the end of the path.
"Boss, Robur goes left?" Robur asked me while pointing to the left.
(Yes.)
While the party kept moving throughout the forest, following the sea of trees, covered in snow, with no animals or creatures on sight, the cubs back at home woke up, ate breakfast and returned to take a nap.
(Robur, do you know how long a mutt cub need to grow up?)
"Robur don''t know that."
(Well, I expect it doesn''t take too long.)
Suddenly Robur stood still and asked me.
"Boss, can you hear that?"
From the distance, the party could hear small, tiny squeak sounds.
(Wait a moment, yes, whats that noise? I can barely hear it.)
"Goblins fighting!" Robur shouted, releasing a big smile.
(Keep going forward with precaution!)
"Yes, Boss!" Robur took out his daggers from his belt while the Imp grabbed his pickaxe.
After walking 10 more minutes, in the middle of the forest, with the sounds increasing by the minute, the party reached its destination.
On the snow, a clash of goblins was ongoing, four of them already were dead on the ground, a group of 3 goblins with a level 3 goblin, while the others were level 2.
The second group had 4 level 1 goblins and 2 level 4 goblins, outnumbering the enemy two to one.
Their weapons were all simple big chunks of wood used as clubs.
As Robur took one more step, the two groups took a few steps back, they noticed that they were not alone anymore as goblin and an Imp came forward.
One of the level 4 goblins stared at Robur and 2 level 1 goblins took a step forward.
He rose his weapon and shouted as he pointed towards his new target.
"You strong, you join Goblin Boss of Maktraka Clan!"
The 2 level 1 goblins kept getting closer towards Robur.
"Robur has Big Red Boss! Puny Maktraka Clan trash!"
The level 4 goblin paused for a bit, then pointed at the Red Imp.
"Big Red Boss? Puny Red trash!"
"This not Big Red Boss! He bigger than orcs! You no trash my Boss!"
Immediately Robur threw one of his daggers at the first goblin and rushed towards the second one.
At the same time, the Red Imp who was mocked by the level 4 goblin was covered in black tattoos and ran towards this same enemy.
Within seconds, one goblin died with a dagger wich was threw into his chest, the second goblin had his throat cut open by Robur.
Goblin Robur has reached level 5!
I possessed my Imp, decided to kill this goblin who spoke ill of me.
"Trash this!" I screamed at the goblin, swinging my pickaxe into him.
"You..." The goblin took a step back, the speed of the Imp and the possession skill I had used made him scared.
Trying to defend himself, he rose his club, trying to use it as a shield against the pickaxe.
But it was of no use as the pickaxe simply pierced the club, breaking it into pieces and following nonstop into the goblin''s forehead.
Imp has reached level 5!
The remained goblins stared at my possessed Imp and Robur, then looked at the 3 goblin group.
Afraid of now being outnumbered, the goblins ran away as fast as they could.
(Talk with those three.) I ordered Robur as I canceled my possession spell.
"Yes, Boss!" Robur spoke while he picked up his dagger from the chest of the dead enemy and walked towards the group.
"You! Stop!" One of the level 2 goblins shouted towards Robur.
"Clan?" The level 3 asked Robur, curious about who would fight Maktraka Clan in Maktraka territory.
"Me lost my clan! Now Robur follow Big Red Boss! Mighty Boss! Bigger than orc!" He proclaimed, punching his chest.
The goblin group stood still and silent as their leader was thinking what to do.
After giving it some thoughts, he let out a sigh of relief and exchange a few whispers his two comrades.
Upon reaching a decision the group looked at Robur and the Imp.
"Thank you, good goblin, want to visit our nest? Me speak with elder to welcome you and red demon!"
"Boss?" (Robur)
(Go with them.)
Robur nodded towards the goblin group and they guided the two newcomers throughout the forest.
It took 2 hours, but soon they reached a mountain cave.
Several level 1 goblins stood guard at the entrance, some were holding clubs while others simply had rocks in their hands.
They did not trouble Robur and the Imp as they were being guided by their higher level brothers.
Upon entering, more goblins appeared on our sight, they were spread out inside the cave, some of them locked their eyes on the hunting party that had returned, walking behind them, a new goblin and red demon could be seen accompanying them.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. But most goblins inside did not even had the strength to look the group, unlike Robur and the Imp, wich had a round belly and strong arms, this goblin nest was full of weak and skinny members.
"They starve..." Robur mumbled.
(Thats normal, from what we have seen, theres pretty much only trees, rock and snow on this land, before you were with me, what did you guys eat?)
"Animal meat, pink skin meat, random fruit?" Robur informed me.
Following the goblins, Robur''s group reached the end of the cavern, a level 6 goblin sat on the ground, this one had a long white beard wich felt weird to me, as all other goblins had no beards and were bald.
The level 3 goblin ran towards him and whispered him a few sentences.
Upon hearing the goblin, he touched his beard as his eyes mainly focused on the Imp.
After a few nods with his head, the three goblin sat next to their elder while he waved his hand and spoke with a smile.
"Please, guests sit, thank you, you saved my kin, tell me, what brings you into these lands?"
Robur and the Imp sat right in front of the elder.
"Boss told me to explore, and Robur explores!" Robur shouted as he punched his chest.
The elder raised his eyebrow. "Your Boss that Red demon?"
"No! Big Red Boss is mighty! Bigger than orc!" He proudly informed the elder.
The elder touched his long beard and asked.
"Where your Boss? He know you here?"
"Ahaha! Boss no need be here, he see and he hear, from Robur and red demon! Boss command reach us!" Robur told the elder.
"Your Boss is strong..." The elder told Robur upon hearing that last sentence.
(Ask them why they are fighting that other clan.)
"Boss asks why you fight Maktraka Clan!"
The goblin elder raised his eyebrow again and let out a sigh as he heared Robur''s question.
"Long story, new Goblin Boss appeared, killed my son former Boss, then we exiled." The elder spoke with to us with grieve and continue with his story.
Apparently the Maktraka Clan was a big goblin clan, the territory we were in being a free to neutral land established by the Maktraka Clan and the Brown wolfpack who bordered each other.
When the previous goblin Boss perished, the Maktraka Clan broke the agreement and started a war with the brown wolves.
At first this war was a tie between the two factions, wich allowed for the elder and his closest goblins to establish a new home, hidden well from their enemies, but for some reason, suddenly the brown wolves started to fall back over the last days, wich caused the current Maktraka warriors to run rampant and kill or capture the elders hunting parties along with any food they had hunted.
This situation caused the elder''s group to lose two-thirds of his followers, now only 27 goblins remained on this nest and most were either weak younglings, females, babies or wounded.
"Now, we starve or die by Maktraka hunters..."
Upon hearing the elder''s story, I wondered what to do, currently it seemed that I had 2 major enemy factions, the brown wolves to my right side and the goblin Maktraka clan to my left side.
The reason the brown wolves had retreated was probably because of the Gray wolves and now that they were defeated with the exception of my 5 cubs, as long as I remain hidden, I assumed they would fight again the Maktraka Clan.
At least I could be happy to know that these 2 were hostile to each other and that perhaps in the future I could take an advantage of that.
And even if they found out about the death of the brown wolf hunting party that we encountered yesterday, there was a high chance that they would blame it on the Maktraka Clan.
(It seems that they had a hard life, Robur, ask them what they plan to do next.)
"Yes, Boss" The named goblin noded his head and then locked his eye on the elder.
"Elder, Boss asks what you do next?" He inquired the Elder.
The elder goblin looked back at Robur, closed his eyes while massaging his beard and started mumbling.
"We stay? We be hunted by Maktraka, we leave? Maktraka and Brow mutts give chase..."
Then his eyes suddenly opened as he thought of something.
"Your Boss, can help?" The Elder asked Robur.
Robur looked at the Elder Goblin, having other goblins asking for his help gave him pride and happiness, but still, he knew that the decision wasn''t his to make.
"Me ask Boss, wait for answer!" He told the Elder. "Boss, can you help?"
(Let me think.)
"Yes, Boss! We wait." Robur shouted and punched his chest, with this action. The three goblins turned their gaze upon the elder, afterwards he signaled the three to be calm and wait for my answer.
I started to think on what to do, of course, the first thing I wanted as I saw the three goblins guiding Robur and my Imp to their nest, was to recruit them.
But I had some disappointment on some of their loyalty, besides the elder and the three goblins that had 70 loyalty wich is acceptable, the rest was different, I saw a sizeable number with 60 and 65, but at least half of them were between 50 and 55 loyalty.
And if I recruit all those above 50? Blue told me to recruit minions on 60 loyalty, but I could take the risk considering it could increase upon giving them protection, shelter and food.
(Maybe I should only recruit those of 60 and above, but would they leave their family? What if I promised to protect everyone? No, thats, not possible, if ever they would be under attack, it would take a while to send help.)
Also, I wanted to keep the my minion''s movement to a minimum.
Then I reminded of the ratmen''s nest.
(Ah! Thats it! Relocation!)
(Robur, I reached my decision, tell exactly to the goblin elder you hear from me and if he does not agree, leave and return home at once.)
"Yes Boss!" Robur punched his chest with joy, causing the other four goblins to tremble a bit, it was clear that they were nervous.
"Elder, list to Robur, Robur say Big Red Boss suggestion!" He shouted to the goblins.
The elder goblin raised an eyebrow and spoke. "Yes, we hear your Boss suggestion."
Day 2, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 11
The group of goblins heard Robur''s Boss suggestion.
It was an agreedment, if they followed the rules.
First, those who wished to agree, would have to relocate their nest into a new area, wich was owned by Robur''s Boss.
Second, they would be provided with food, in exchange, they would have to defend their new nest until their deaths, if any goblin abandoned their nest and came back afterwards, they would not be welcomed back, instead, they would be sacrificed to the Big Red Boss.
Third, only those who are deemed worthy by the Big Boss could enter his home, those who are caught doing so without permission would be sentenced to death.
Fourth, stealing was forbidden, Big Boss would be the one to decide the punishment for the guilty.
As Robur told the conditions to the elder and the three goblins, I decided to spawn a new wood door, this one was on the exit tile as it was meant to prevent outsiders to easily enter my territorial body.
Spoiler: Spoiler
After the goblins heard Robur''s words, silence fell upon that part of the cave and then, finally one of the level 2 goblins finally spoke.
"Elder, what we do?"
"I agree." The level 3 goblin agreed to the proposal as he looked at Robur.
"Me agree what elder say." Spoke the second level 2 goblin.
The elder remained quiet, grabbing his beard again, trying to decide.
"I, if Big Boss give food and protection, me agrees..." The elder told Robur.
"Good! Good! You safe with Boss!" Robur shouted, having new goblin friends made him very happy.
The three goblins punched their chests and laughed as they would finally have some food while the elder remained a bit worried but still smiled to hide it.
(Tell them to prepare to move at once, the entire nest must be moved as fast as possible, I am sure the Maktraka clan hunters that ran away will return with reinforcements to wipe out all goblins in here!)
"Wha! Yes Boss!" Robur rose up and punched his chest then shouted at the goblins. "We move now! Maktraka clan will come to kill! Come come!"
The 3 goblins got startled, making a worried face, who now remembered the 3 enemies that ran away, they would surely return for revenge.
All 3 rose up. "Elder, we must go!" The level 3 goblin spoke to the elder, while grabbing his arm to help him stand up.
"Gather all goblins! Me must speak to them now!" The elder told the goblins, who then ran out to bring everyone.
After a few minutes, all goblins gathered around the elder, as he spoke to every goblin, Robur and the Imp waited on outside the cave.
(Robur.)
"Yes Boss?"
(Remember, only those chosen can enter our home, all the rest will stay at the old ratmen nest, okay?)
"Boss, the chosen get Boss mark?" The goblin asked me as he poked his 8 tattoo.
(Yes.)
Robur smiled and pulled out his chest with pride upon hearing my answer then turned into the cave''s entrance, the goblins were now leaving.
While the elder took lead, the three higher level goblins stood in the back protecting the rear while some of the level 1 goblins were helping the weak goblins.
The Elder smiled to Robur. "Please, guide us."
Robur nodded, smiled back, then turned his back and waved his back. "Come! Follow!"
The goblins were on their way.
My second Imp stood guard at the cave entrance all day, the 5 cubs only did 4 things, wake up, eat a slime, play a bit and take a nap.
From time to time, the cubs adored chewing and gave a few bites on the blankets and baskets, this gave me another small info about the items, as the moment they would release those, they would instantly return to normal.
(They are so adorable...)
I called the 5 cubs into the Heart Core room to warn them that a goblin group would arrive shortly.
After informing them, they were free to leave, 4 cubs left with haste to the sleeping chamber to play, leaving the cub that only speaks alone with me.
(What is it?)
"Patriarch, isn''t there anything we can help you with?" The cub spoke.
(Let me think, theres not much to do, for now, just protect our home?)
"Okay! I will tell my sisters!" The cub shouted.
(Sisters?)
"Yes! We are all sisters!" The cub informed me before rushing out of the room.
After the cub left, leaving me surprised.
"He is a she? Are you fucking kidding with me? No males? How will I get more gray cubs? Oh wait... Even if there was a male, breeding with siblings can give retards... No wait! How do I even know this?"
Then more weird questions appeared in my mind.
"WHAT A SECOND! AM I A FEMALE OR A MALE? HOW DOES MY RACE REPRODUCE?!?" The giant red eye now started to bluntly rotate randomly around.
While I was wondering if I was born out of a fart, brought over by the canal of a female or if a bird brought me from the sky of the Void trough error 404, the goblin group was already walking up the path, reaching the tunnel''s entrance where my second Imp stood guard.
"Maybe theres a factory in the Void that produces us? Well, at least my voice sounds manly enough! Oh, they are already here? That was fast!"
With the group arriving, I immediately ordered both Imps to run into the exit of the ratmens old nest that led to my territorial body, for now, each would stay in one of the sides as guards watching the goblins settling in the big room.
(Robur ask the elder if any of the goblins dangerously close to death.)
"Okay Boss!"
With a few exchanges of words with the elder, the two of them checked the weakest wounded goblins.
"Uh, Boss, none will die if they eat today!" Robur informed me.
It was a stupid question that I made, after all, if there was such a goblin, he would have died along the way.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
(So theres no need to take "emergency" minions, okay, Robur gather the strongest goblin and the elder, bring them to the nearest door, I want you to give them my words in private.)
"Yes Boss!"
At this point, the goblins were settled, all capable fighting goblins would stay near the exit of the room, while the wounded, children and women resided in the center of the room and as agreed, none of them would even get close to the tunnel that the Imps were guarding.
The 2 goblins followed Robur, but before that, the elder spoke a few words and 6 able goblins leaded by one of the level 2 goblins left the new goblin nest room to guard the entrance.
After a few steps, the two goblins stopped while Robur kept walking forward only to stop and turn back.
"What? Come!" Robur told the group.
"We allowed?" The elder asked as he stared at the two red demons guarding the entrance, they were a bit fearful of them, especially the 5 level Imp wich horns were now so long that their tips started to rotate to the back.
"You allowed, Boss says you come now!" The goblin assured his kin.
"Okay!" The two goblins answered in union.
A couple more steps the goblins reached the first wood door wich stayed closed.
"Boss, what now?" Robur asked me.
(Tell them that they now can choose to pass that door, if they do so, they will receive my mark and will have to pledge their allegiance to me!)
"YES BOSS!" Robur sudenly screamed, scaring the goblins a bit.
He then turned to the two goblins and spoke while pointing to the door.
"Big Red Boss give choice, accept Boss as Boss! And get blessing! Not accept? Then leave!"
The level 3 goblin looked at the elder, wondering what to do while the Elder let out a sigh of relief as he thought something worse would happen to them.
"We accept blessing!" He smiled and took a step forward, this moment, the door in front of them opened.
Once the door was open, the goblins stood still, staring at what was in front of them, a new closed door, but most importantly, 5 small gray wolf cubs with red eyes lined up in front of it, standing guard.
"LET THEM IN!" A thunderous shout came from behind the door and the cubs immediately stepped aside, giving room for the goblins to walk.
Robur looked at the goblins, who were scared shitless by the shout, he chuckled for a bit before stepping forward passing by the them.
"Come come! Boss waiting!" He waved his arm for the two to follow him while the wood door also opened.
Slowly the goblins stepped forward again, finally entering the heart core room, gazing upon a monstrous fireball upon the top of a stone altar.
After entering, suddenly the red ball rotated 160 degrees, revealing that in truth, the fireball was in fact, an eye.
"WELCOME GOBLINS!" It shouted towards the group.
The first to speak back was the Elder.
"You Big Red Boss?" He asked Red.
"YES!" The eye shouted with all its strength.
(Did his loyalty just increase by 5?)
"I follow Big Red Boss!" The elder slowly kneeled.
"Me follow Boss!" The level 3 goblin finally spoke.
2 goblins want to become your minions, it will cost 50 mana for each, costing a total of 100!
Do you accept them?
Yes?
No?
(Yes!)
"VERY WELL! RECEIVE MY BLESSING!" I shouted again towards the goblins, on this moment 2 fire spirits left my eye, each surrounding one of the goblins.
(Just two of them swallows almost all of my mana, but I guess its acceptable, every 50 minutes I can get a new goblin!)
As I was lost in my thoughts, my new minions released squeaks as they dropped on their knees, feeling pain as an 8 tattoo morphed on their left shoulders.
Goblin has reached level 4!
Goblin has reached level 4!
"Boss! Thank for blessing!" The elder shouted in joy.
"Good, now as promised, I will give you food for all goblins! Robur take them to the Food storage! You three shall pick all the slimes you can to give them to the goblins!" I commanded my minions.
"YES BOSS!" The three shouted in union.
For the first time in a while, all the goblins had a nice fat lunch, and each of them ate well and filled their bellies.
What made me happy was that the every goblin loyalty was now above 60.
Almost 100 slimes were used, but it was fine as before the goblins arrived, I had kept spawning them, after they were done with their meal, I had now 324 slimes.
Overrall I only needed 2 hours of mana to spawn enough slimes for each meal, taking at around 6 hours a day to produce them, of course I was not counting the meat that was still preserved.
Once they were all done eating, the elder and the level 3 goblin followed Robur into the sleeping chamber, wich it immediately spawned two new small beds, upon this, I ordered them to carry the furs handing on the walls to the goblin nest room.
With my three goblin minions, each used a fur, 5 of them remained, so I decided to give them to the females so they could put them together so they could have a proper place for them and the babies to rest.
With the rest of the day, I ordered Robur to lead the level 1 and 2 goblins into the forest right near the path of the mountain, it was not to scout, even if I thought that the clubs the low-level goblins had were just pretty much simple sticks, it was better than nothing, so the party spent the rest of the day looking for wood and rocks that could be used as weapons.
My territory now had 3 goblins, 2 Imps, 5 gray wolf cubs along with the potential recruitment of 2 level 2 goblins, 14 level 1 goblins (8 female and 6 male), 5 baby goblins and 4 wounded goblins.
As the day reached its closure and the night was near, Robur returned with a stash of "clubs", sticks and rocks and after everyone had their own stick, the rest was stored in the heart core room.
Suddenly, out of nowhere.
Workshop is now available!

XP:1/10 Tiles:22/30 gold:140 mana:124/125(-125)
After wondering in where to build the new room, I called my level 3 Imp to start digging, but before that, he would claim 3 more tiles forward.
My plan was to start the entrance on the second new tile, and the third would have a new door.
Once this task was done, the Imp started to dig to the right, the workshop for now, would stay next to the Food Storage and I also added another door at the entrance to close this new room.
Building 4 tiles of a Workshop will cost you 60 gold.
Do you wish to build?
Yes?
No?
(At least the workshop is cheap? Built it now!)
Crafting tab unlocked!
New options available on Crafting tab!
(So this is the workshop?) I pondered, looking trough the eyes of my Imp, at first glance from outside, it was a normal room, but inside, if you turn to your left, you could see new furniture and tools.
On the first tile on the top left, stood a long wood table with two chairs, several tools also hagged on the walls, supported by the red rubies.
The tile on the right had a furnace just next to the table, an anvil stood in front of the furnace and a semi-circle small stone pool was on the right, stuck in back wall of the room.
XP:1/10 Tiles:30/30 gold:80 mana:104/125(-125)
(Show me Crafting tab!)
As I asked for this new tab, a warning appeared on top of it for 15 seconds, only to disappear afterwards forever.
Warning!
Only Imps and experienced Minions can craft items!
For minions to learn how to craft, they must watch the Imps and other minions doing this task!
The learning capability will depend on the minion!
Time of crafting will depend on the minions!
Confused at this new information, the warning disappeared, allowing me to see the new tab.

"Yes Boss!" The two shouted in unison, on this moment, they were in the goblin nest room, their shout surprised the other goblins, giving them a small jump scare.
(Any of you know how to get me vines?)
"Uh?" Robur was confused upon hearing my question while the elder smiled.
"Robur, vine come from tree!" The elder told us as he grabbed his beard with confidence.
(Good that you know, Robur once you rest, take a few goblins with you, I want you to bring me more resources, wood, stone and also vines! Is that clear?)
"Sure Boss!" Robur happily punched his chest.
(Well, open up Crafting tab Weapons again, please.)

(Yes! WEAPONS!)
The consumed resources now disappeared, but the items were not built yet.
The following weapons were added to the queue of the workshop.
2 small stone axes -> 5 small stone spears
Please command at least one minion to the workshop to start production.
I decided to put my level 3 Imp to work on the workshop, while the first one, would stay on guard at my territorial entrance.
As he sat on the left chair, inside the workshop, the required materials for the first small stone axe appeared on the table and the Imp immediately started his work.
Slowly, the first weapon was completed, taking almost 30 minutes to be crafted.
At this time, after resting, Robur led 3 male and 3 female goblins to the forest to collect resources.
Meanwhile, nearby to the East, several shadows ran heading West trough the forest.
Suddenly the group stoped, and two new shadows appeared in front of them.
They were all brown wolves.
"Report!" (???)
"Lead Hunter, we found some of the members of the missing group along with gray wolves, they are all dead!" (???)
"What about the rest?" (Lead Hunter)
"I don''t know, but, theres two other scents, one I do not know of, but the second one is of a goblin!" (???)
"What! Are you certain?" (Lead Hunter)
"Yes! I am sure!" (???)
"Return home, report all this to the patriarch, tell him that I request reinforcements! Go now!" (Lead Hunter)
""At once!"" The two wolves shouted before leaving to the East.
The leader now stood there silent, while the rest of the group stared at him.
Breaking the silence, another wolf approached the Lead Hunter. He was older, dirtier and had a scar on his left eye.
"What now? I did not expect the goblins to cross our border..." The old wolf spoke.
"This situation is getting worse, it was not a big issue for the Maktraka clan to enter the neutral zone, but now to even cross our borders..." (Lead Hunter)
"Its not just that, young one, what if they captured one of our own? Or some the gray wolves? There is a high chance that the goblins now know about what is happening in our territory!" (Old Wolf)
"I know, with most of our forces scattered hunting for the remaining grays, it would be hard to stop an invasion as most of our hunter packs are busy in the south." (Lead Hunter)
"So what now? Theres a chance we could catch the survivors of the battle if we depart at once, but we also have to protect the western border..." (Old Wolf)
"I will watch over the Western border while you take your pack forward into the neutral zone." (Lead Hunter)
"So I will rescue our missing brothers and kill the ones that keep them captives?" (Old Wolf)
"Yes, but if you think you cannot win, fall back at once!" (Lead Hunter)
"It will be done Lead Hunter!" The old wolf shouted and a second later, he and a third of the wolf group jumped forward.
Day 2, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 13
In a snowy forest, in front of a mountain path, a group of 7 goblins kept collecting resources until sun fall.
(Robur, its time to return, bring the resources to me.)
Upon hearing this voice on his head, the leading goblin stood still for a moment before punching his chest.
"Yes Boss!" He then turned to the others. "We return home, come!"
One by one, the goblins picked everything that they had gathered and walked up the mountain path.
Back at the heart core room, the elder goblin arrived after receiving his master''s command.
"Boss? Something wrong?"
"No, I have something for you to do." The Big red eye spoke as he looked at his UI info.
XP:1/10 Tiles:30/30 gold:80 mana:124/125(-125)
"I want you to go and pick two of the strongest goblins, tell them that they have the choice of receiving my blessing, if they do so, guide them here."
The Elder bowed his head towards the eye and replied before leaving. "Boss, thank you for blessing!"¡ä
Imp has reached level 4!
(Nice! Now to the weapons!)
Until now, the Imp has been producing simple weapons non-stop, with Robur returning almost every hour with new resources.
(Its already a good number of weapons, isn''t there a way to easily see how many of them I have?)
Items crafted (- being used)(+ being crafted)
small stone axe 5
small stone spear 9 (+1)
(Thats... Convenient? Is there a way to easily see all my enemies?)
Silence fell on the room as I waited for a few minutes.
(Had to try it!)
I looked at my workshop, for now, the weapons were stacked on a pile near the wall right next to the pond of water.
(There aren''t enough weapons for everyone, so I think, ill only give weapons to those who become my minions directly.)
This moment, the Elder goblin was walking forward, bringing 2 goblins behind him, they were the 2 level 2 goblins.
As I gave them my "blessing" wich made them go up one level, I also ordered my level 4 goblin to come to the workshop and pick his weapon.
(Bring these two to the workshop, all your 3 can now pick any weapon in the pile.)
"""Yes Boss!""" The trio shouted while punching their chests before leaving the room.
The group moved into the next room, but paused midway, just to smile at what they had just seen.
Just now, the level 4 goblin had left the workshop while holding 2 small stone axes, the goblin simply smiled back at the trio before leaving.
(The info says they are called small axes... but they sure seem big on a goblin''s hand.)
The goblins hesitated as they stared into the pile.
(Pick the weapon that you want.)
"Yes Boss, I take this!" The Elder picked a spear and rose it high. "Come, come, pick weapon!" He ordered the other two goblins.
"I pick same!" One of them said to the Elder.
"Me too!" The other one added.
The three picked up their spears and quickly moved to the goblin nest, with a huge desire to show off their weapons and at the same time, the level 4 goblin with dual wielding axes spoke to me from the nest.
"Boss, you there?"
(Yes? What is it?)
"Boss, Me chosen by Boss, me guard entrance?" The goblin asked me as he pointed the axe on his right hand towards the level 5 Imp.
(Good, take his place and guard the entrance well!)
With this, I ordered the Imp to run immediately to the workshop while the goblin took his place and as Robur returned with the resources, it was time to craft more things.
(Show me raw resources!)
(Wish there was more vines, but I guess this should be enough? Craft 3 ropes!)
Producing 3 stacks of ropes will cost you 6 vines.
Do you wish to proceed?
Yes?
No?
(Yeah!)
The following weapons were added to the queue of the workshop.
1 small stone spear -> 2 ropes
1 rope --------------> ^
(Oh, thats right! Since theres a second Imp working it means I can produce two items at the same time!)
I looked at the Imps making the items. (Better add a few more weapons just in case? Craft 5 small stone spears!)
Constructing 5 small stone spears will cost you 5 stone and 10 wood.

The following weapons were added to the queue of the workshop.
1 small stone spear -> 2 ropes -> 5 small stone spears

(Show me how many weapons I have!)
Items crafted (- being used)(+ being crafted)
small stone axe 3 (-2)
small stone spear 7 (-3)(+6)
Rope (+12)
(Oh, but it says Items crafted? It seems I cant only see only the weapons?)
After trying a few more times. (Yeah, I guess it will not work...)
Time passed as I waited, while the Imps kept craftings, the goblins gathered around, apart from the level 4 goblin who was still guarding the entrance to my territory and the 3 male goblins standing guard outside the cave.
The elder, Robur and the other two goblins then brought piles of smiles for everyone to eat, with this, the elder asked the level 3 goblins to bring some slimes to those who were on guard outside, so at this moment, dinner had begun.
The second night had finally arrived, after eating their meal, most goblins laid down and took rest, the wounded and children had immediately fallen asleep.
Once two hours had passed, with my mana back to 124, I once again ordered the Elder to bring me 2 strong goblins to receive my "blessing".
Goblin has reached level 2!
Goblin has reached level 2!
The goblin elder ended up bringing me one male and one female goblin, wich both decided to pick spears.
(It is a good thing that I got more wood than stone...)
Slowly, more beds appeared in the sleeping chamber as the newcomers were guided by the goblin elder and soon after meeting the gray wolf pups, with the exception of those who were on guarding duty, everyone else had fallen asleep.
Suddenly, one of the guarding goblins entered the goblin nest screaming with panic.
"Enemy! Enemy!" He screamed before reaching Robur, wich was guarding the entrance to my territory.
"Be calm!" Robor told the goblin. "I ask Boss what to do!"
At the heart core room.
"Its a good thing I don''t require sleep..." I murmured to myself.
(Robur, take that goblin, go to the caves entrance and keep watch, I will send one of my Imps to take your position!)
"Yes Boss!" Robur quickly ran to the outside with haste.
(The level 4 Imp will guard the entrance, while the second one will go to Robur.)
With their orders, the Imps stoped their work on the workshop while the same time I spoke to all my minions in the sleeping chamber.
(WAKE UP, THERE ARE ENEMIES NEARBY!)
Upon receiving such scream, all the 10 minions rose up.
(Gray wolves, guard the entrance to my room! Goblin Elder go to the goblin nest and prepare everyone! All goblins must prepare for war at once!)
"""""Yes Boss!"""""
""""Yes Patriarch!""""
Nine minions immediately responded and moved out of the sleeping chamber.
I looked at the gray cub, the one who usually speaks with me.
(Whats wrong? Why are you still standing there?)
"G-Great Patriarch! Please allow me to join with the goblins! I want to fight your enemies!" The pup shouted in the room.
(No, you are still too young for the frontlines, and how can you possibly kill an enemy adult?)
At the moment, the cubs were still too small for battle, and I would never send them out until they grow a bit more so I decided to make them defend my room.
"I-I cannot defeat an adult but..."
(But?)
"Wolves have a strong nose and hears, so I can detect enemies better!" The cub shouted.
(Hummm, very well, you may go, but you are not to fight, is that clear?)
"Yes patriarch!" The cub answered before leaving the room with a smile.
Back at the cave''s entrance, Robur and 3 goblins crawled on the ground right near the edge, looking below at the forest.
(Shit! Theres at least 200 goblins!) I cursed as I saw trough Robur''s eyes.
A large group of goblins was setting up for the night and one tent stood alone with several goblins preparing to sleep on the floor around it.
Several level 5 and 6 goblins could be seen wearing rusted swords while those below level 5 were using simple clubs.
At this moment, a new goblin left the tent, this one carried an spear and was the only goblin with leather armour.
(LEVEL 9?!?)
The goblin then spoke a few words towards the outside goblins, but from the distance I could not hear him.
Upon hearing that goblin, some of the high level goblins rose up their swords and gathered 30 low level goblins and immediately departed to the East.
Then the level 9 goblin turned around as another smaller group had arrived from the North, the new arrivals did not only have goblins as some other creatures laid in chains within the group, these included many black birdman, a 2-meter white bear man and 4 dark skin creatures with long ears.
Some of the goblins also seemed to be in chains.
One of the goblins suddenly whispered to Robur.
"Missing goblin kin!"
Day 2, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 14
With Robur''s sight, I kept watching the enemy camp.
"Boss, lots of enemies..." Robur whispered to the three goblins and me.
(I know, but it seems they have not found us yet? Maybe we are not even their main target?)
While I expected for the Maktraka clan to seek revenge on me, this force was far too large, this only meant that their objective was probably the brown wolves territory.
(Robur, do you know what those creatures are?)
"Boss, first time Robur see them!" The goblin informed his master.
(Oh? So the place where you come from does not have them?)
Robur looked at the prisoners again. "No Boss!"
(Now that I think of, where the hell did we teleport to?)
"Boss, Robur not know, but, Robur sure this not West Horde territory..."
(West Horde territory?)
"Yes Boss, West Horde own big territory, many clans in it."
(I see...)
At this moment, the wolf cub arrived near Robur.
"I am here Patriarch, and I can watch and hear the enemy camp!"
(You can? Ah, I do it too now! Exelent!)
At the camp, the level 9 goblin reached the goblin slaver who led the newcomer group.
"New slaves?" (level 9 goblin)
"Yes, survivors from village we attack!" (Goblin slaver)
"Good! Good! Rest! Next day bring slaves to Boss!" He ordered the goblin slaver.
With a nod and a punch on his chest, the goblin slaver turn to his group, ordering them to take rest while the level 9 returned to his tent.
"You heard it Patriarch?" The cub asked me.
(Yes, thank you, please keep watching them.)
"Yes Patriarch!" The cub nodded its tiny head with a smile.
(Robur, return to the inside for now and inform the rest of the goblins, let those 3 and the gray wolf watch over the enemy.)
"Sure Boss!" The goblin crawled back a bit before rising up so he wouldn''t be noticed by the enemy.
Soon after, the goblin Elder appeared alongside Robur in my heart core room after hearing the news.
The room was silence for a while, and it was then that the elder broke the silence.
"Boss, what we do?" (Goblin Elder)
"We kill enemies!" Robur shouted towards the elder.
"Enemies too many!" The elder nodded his head to the sides in disagreement.
(Robur told you about the captured creatures right? Do you think they will help us if we free them?)
"Boss! Our kin will help! But others, this elder not know..."
While the camp could be seen easily from the caves entrance, it was still far away from the mountain path, so there was a chance of rescuing the slaves after they separate from the main group.
With this, not only would I decrease the enemy ranks, I would also had a chance to booster mine.
(Get everyone to rest for now, one cub and 3 goblins will stay on guard at all times.)
""Yes Boss!"" The goblins shouted before leaving the room.
Many goblins in the goblin nest were much afraid that they could not sleep, because of this, the goblin elder decided to sleep with them to give some comfort.
I decided to have the Imps work on the workshop for now, since I had 6 goblin minions, they could now take the job of guarding the entranced of my territory and after they had finished their crafting, I added more to the queue.
This time it was one wood bow and one wood shield in circle form.
The moment the wood bow was completed a new pop up appeared for a few seconds.
Simple arrow item has been unlocked in the craftable resources!
(Ah, the arrows that are used as ammo for the bows? Show be craftable resources.)

The following weapons were added to the queue of the workshop.
1 simple arrow batch---------> 2 wood shields
1 wood shield -> ^
The night passed without issues, the weapons I ordered were complete and four new goblins accepted my blessing, one female and 3 males reached level 2.
Once it was done, this new group picked their weapons, the female chose the bow, while the males all chose the same as their elder, the spear.
The female goblin was also given a rope to help her carry the 10 arrows on her back and the level 3 goblins both got a shield.
Before sunrise, I decided those who would participate on the battle.
Robur would lead the party, along with the dual axe lvl4 goblin, the 2 lvl3 goblins spearman with shields, the lvl2 goblin female archer and 3 lvl2 male goblin spearman.
Also, the talkative cub and two of her sisters would accompany them, and their purpose was not to battle, but to increase chances of the party not being find out by the main enemy camp or any other newcomers.
My level 5 Imp would also follow the party as a reserve while the lvl4 Imp would stay home as my bodyguard.
Regarding the defense, the elder goblin, the female lvl2 spearwomen and 3 lvl1 goblins would stay behind to defend the goblin nest alongside the last 2 cubs as support.
(Everyone ready?) I asked my minions.
"""""Yes Boss!"""""
"""Yes Patriarch!"""
(Depart at once, do not let the enemy find you until my command!)
Slowly, the party of 11 left their home, walking down the path of the mountain, it was perfect to move out at this time of the day, a fog would always appear in the morning before the sunrise.
It took 30 minutes, but soon a location was found for the group to take a pause, with the cubs using their ears, noses and eyes to keep watch, the goblins felt safer.
Finally the goblin slavers left the main group, heading west, upon watching them leave, I ordered Robur and the wolf cub to immediately separate from their party to scout head so they could confirm wich direction their enemy would take and wich was the best position for an ambush.
The goblin group was much weaker compared to the level 9, their leader was only level 6 using a rusty short sword, while it was one higher level than Robur, I was sure that my minions could easily take him out, infact, the major objective of the female goblin archer was him.
Regarding the rest of the group, there were 4 lvl2 goblins and 15 lvl1 goblins, all equipped with sticks and clubs, as long as they would not overwhelm my minions, they would eventually perish.
If my minions were succeful, I would gain 8 goblins and perhaps 12 new creatures.
(Theres alot of those black birdman missing? Were they eaten by the goblins or something?)
Strangely, only 7 black birdman remained in the group, at least 2 thirds of them were missing.
As my party relocated after Robur and the cub were done scouting, the ambushed was prepared.
"Patriarch, they will be here any second!" The cubs informed their leader.
(Very well, if theres any other enemy group that approaches, inform me at once okay?)
"""Yes Patriarch!"""
A few hours before sunrise, in the East, several shadows remained hidden behind upon a hill, looking down upon a goblin group who was resting,
"These dammed green skins dare invade our turf!" The leading shadow growled, he was the elder brownwolf with the scar on his left eye.
"What do we do? Should we inform Lead Hunter?" Another brown wolf asked his leader.
"Not yet, we have the advantage of surprise! We cannot afford to lose this chance!" Upon hearing these words, the group slowly sneaked around and surrounded the goblin group.
"Now!" The old wolf shouted and jumped to the nearest goblin. "Die!"
The goblin did not have a chance, his neck was broken in seconds.
Following this action, 17 goblins perished, the dead included most of the high lvls in less than a minute.
"Fight! Fight!" The last high lvl goblin with a rusty sword screamed at his comrades while swinging his weapon to repel 3 wolves.
Slowly the battle continued and in 20 minutes, the goblin group was beaten.
"Victory!" One of the brown wolves shouted while the rest howled in union.
The elder wolf dropped the body of his last kill and turned to one of the wolves.
"Any wounded?" The elder screamed.
"Light wounds only, we can still fight!" A young wolf with a few scratches answered.
"Good, let''s eat these bastards and "scout" a bit more." The elder smiled at his comrades.
On this previous night, 40 wolves had crushed 35 goblins.
Day 3, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 15
The ambush area was decided, it would be between 2 small hills with the forest covering both sides, after Robur and cub looked at the ground, all the frosty grass had be squashed recently, this confirmed that the Maktraka Clan was using area as a path.
"Patriarch, they will be here any minute!" The gray cub informed me.
(Okay, listen up and get into position as planned!)
Most of the party at this moment disappeared from sight, hiding in several places.
(It seems everyone is ready?)
Almost everyone was hiding, only the lvl4 and the 2 lvl3 goblins were in sight, wich were seen by the enemy group the moment they arrived.
The high lvl goblin slayer immediately ordered the group to stop, and with a few shouts, most of the goblins moved forward behind their leader.
With 2 lvl2 goblins on his sides and 10 lvl1 goblins behind him, the leader shouted towards my group.
"We Maktraka Clan! You?" (Goblin Slaver)
Seconds passed, no answer was given to him, the goblin kept staring at the 3 goblins in front of him confused.
"We Maktraka Clan! You East Horde?" The goblin again shouted.
But again, he received no answer.
Suddenly, the unknow goblin in the middle rose his right arm and put his axe on his shoulder.
"We follow Big Red Boss!" The lvl4 shouted at the lvl6 goblin.
"Big Red Boss?" The lvl6 goblin murmured, was their Boss one of the leaders of the Eastern Horde?
At first, he tought that they were the outcasts, but at checking their weapons and comparing their lvls, they seemed more like messengers from another clan as it was the only explanation for such low lvls to have such weapons.
"You messanger? Wich Clan?"
(Messenger? What the fuck is he talking about? Anyways, it seems that everyone is in position!)
(Everyone prepared?)
After asking all my minions, everyone nodded.
"Hello messengers!" The leader of the slavers spoke at seeing the 3 goblins in front of him nodding only to then feel an extreme pain on his left arm. "Kyak! Wha..." the goblin dropped his rusty sword, staring at his arm, wich was just hit by an arrow.
As the wounded goblin looked at his arm, he could also see who had shot at him, a female with a bow stood just a few steps away between 2 trees.
The goblin saw the female preparing to shoot another arrow, and he immediately understood that this was all a trap, rushing to pick his rusty sword, he shouted towards his troops.
"KILL ALL!"
Confused at first, the goblins finally understood what was happening, the goblins divided into groups, a lvl2 goblin lead 5 lvl1 goblins towards the 3 enemies, 3 lvl1 goblins aimed at the archer while a lvl2 and 2 lvl1 goblins guarded their wounded leader.
With the enemies approaching, I commanded my minions.
(Change your target, aim at the closest goblin!)
At my words, the female goblin pointed his arrow towards the incoming goblins who were now 6 steps away.
After 3 more steps, another arrow was shot towards the closest goblin.
In an instant, the arrow pieced the goblin''s chest, making him fall on the ground.
The other 2 goblins got even angrier at the sight of his comrade''s death as they rushed towards their enemy archer.
(Now!)
On my command, the 2 lvl2 goblin spearmen stopped hiding behind the trees on the sides of the archer, and rushed towards the incoming enemies.
The enemy''s clubs that were about to reach the goblin female archer suddenly dropped on the floor as their owners were pieced by spears.
Meanwhile at the main frontline, 6 goblins rushed towards 3 goblins, but before they could reach their enemies, the lvl4 goblin suddenly threw one of his axes towards the closest enemy.
The lvl1 goblin stopped as he watched the stone axe flying towards his head.
The group stoped their rush 4 steps from their enemy as they watched their comrade who had his head pierced.
Looking at the 3 goblins, the 5 goblins trembled of fear, as they were watching their enemies giving them huge smiles.
(KILL THEM!)
Before the 5 goblins could turn away, the trio rushed forward and immediately 3 more lvl1 goblins died, cut deep by an axe or pierced by spear.
The goblin slaver looked at his dead soldiers, he was both mad and scared, where the hell did these enemies come from?
"Me must escape..." He whispered towards himself before shouting at his 3 soldiers who were guarding him. "KILL HER!"
In his mind, the only way he could escape was to distract the archer.
As the 3 goblins rushed forwards towards the archer and her 2 guards, their leader turned and ran towards the slaves.
(Get him!)
While the fight happened in the middle and the left of the goblin slaver''s side, from the right, a shadow appeared.
"WAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Robur shouted as he jumped down from a tree, running towards the escaping goblin.
"Stop runin trash!" He screamed at the goblin slaver who ignored him and kept running. "FINE!"
With all his strength, Robur threw the dagger on his right hand towards the enemy.
"kyak!" The goblin slaver felt something on his back before falling down.
At this scene, goblins who were guarding the slaves started running forward towards their leader.
Goblin lvl2 has died!
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.(FUCK!!!)
The archer had just shot an arrow, but because she missed the target, all 3 enemy goblins reached their position, one of the lvl2 spearman was able to kill a lvl1 goblin immediately, but the other goblin spearman failed his attack against the lvl2 goblin and instead got hit on his head by a club.
Seconds later, that same lvl2 goblin was shot in the head by the female goblin archer while the first lvl2 spearman had killed the other lvl1 goblin.
At the same time, the last 2 goblins of the frontline attacked the goblin spearman with the shields with their weapons, but such attack failed as the clubs had simply broken from the clash against the shields.
Those same goblins were pierced by the spears as the lvl4 goblin grabbed his second axe from the bloody broken head of the first kill.
Then, forward, Robur had finally reached the goblin slaver who had fallen on the groud.
"Trash!" Robur shouted as he rose his left leg, only to then drop it on his enemies back.
The goblin slaver tried to crawl to escape as 2 lvl2 and 5 lvl1 goblins were rushing to rescue him.
In 4 seconds, Robur threw his dagger into the air, only to catch it and immediately swinging his weapon to the enemies neck.
After the screaming released by the goblin slaver stopped, Robur picked up his daggers from dead body, at this scene, the remained enemy goblins who were rushing forward stopped as their leader was dead and most of their group had be slain.
Fearing for their lives, the goblins turned and ran.
(Get them!)
I commanded Robur, the lvl4 goblin and the lvl3 goblins to pursue the enemy.
"""""Yes Boss!""""
The four shouted as they ran forward.
(Follow them!)
"Yes Patriarch!" Leaving her hiding place, the wolf cub followed behind the group, leaving the 2 goblins and 2 cubs behind.
My lvl5 Imp appeared in sight, aproaching the my 3 goblins who remained, the lvl2 goblin spearmen who remained behind to protect the archer, wich stood still, staring at the body of my dead minion, with her eyes wet.
Small enemy SubFaction has been defeated, you have been awarded with 1 XP.
(The slaver''s group was a subfaction?)
I turned my atention to the deceased minion.
(You will bring his body!) I commanded the goblin spearmen.
(You will bring his weapon and the rusty sword!) I told the female archer.
Both nodded and punched their chest and all 5 minions then approached the captives.
At the same time, Robur and the trio returned.
(Now that the enemies are dead, time for diplomacy, Robur talk with them.)
"Yes Boss!" Robur shouted as he punched his chest.
At this moment, all the goblin captives were happy as they recognized that most of their saviors were their family, but unlike them, the white bear, the 4 long ear creatures and the black birdmen were still afraid and confused.
"My Big Boss save you!" Robur informed the group.
One of the long ears stood up and spoke with arrogance.
"We are not saved yet green skin, how do we know you will not enslave us too? How can we trust your kind!"
"Rude trash!" Robur shouted.
(Possession spell!)
The lvl5 Imp stepped forward.
"Robur, calm down."
"uh?" The goblin turned back and saw the Imp speaking. "Ah, yes Boss!" He punched his chest and took one step to the side.
"You are their leader? A red demon?" The long ear inquired.
"Yes? You dark pink skin got a problem with that?"
These dark long ears really look like one of the pink skins that I had seen when I was with blue, the only exception was their skin color.
(I do wonder what is up with their levels?)
Now that I noticed, their levels were strange, this was the first time I had seen people having more than 1 level.
Some of the goblins had 1-2 level above their heads, the elves and black birdmen had a mix of 2-7 while the bear man was 4-9.
"How rude! Pink skin? You dare say that we are with the light elf, human and dwarf races! Do not insult us!"
"What are you then?" The little Imp inquired the group.
"We are the beautiful dark elves!" The long ear shouted with pride.
One this moment, a black birdman spoke.
"My apologies for the rudeness of the dark elves, we are one of the Avian''s clans, the Crow Clan!"
"What do you mean rudeness? He is the rude one!" The dark elf complained towards the Avian.
"Thats it!" Out of patience, I took out the pickaxe from my back. "I don''t care about you anymore!" Aiming at the dark elf, the pickaxe went into his head.
Imp has reached level 6!
(Uh? Just from one kill? Was that because he had 2-7 level?)
Upon seeing the dead elf, another elf screamed at me. "Father! You killed my father!"
"Shut up big tits! Want to be the next one? How about the other two?"
(Was big tits an insult?)
At my threat, the other two dark elves moved behind the dark elf female.
"No! Don''t kill them! Don''t kill my little sisters! I beg you!" The dark elf begged.
"I told you to shut up!" I roared at the dark elves.
As the dark elves were now silent, I turned towards the Avian who spoke with me.
"Please continue!"
Day 3, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 16
The old Avian Crow and the rest of the group stood on their knees without words at what they had just witnessed.
"So what were you saying?" I asked the Old Avian Crow.
The old Avian Crow sighed before finally speaking a word.
"Sir, as I said, we are of the Avian Race, to be precise, the Crow Clan, out nest is to the North, near the border of Morfir, the land of outcasts!"
"What happened to you? Why were you captured?" I inquired the Avians.
"Every season we leave our nest and travel to the nearby settlements to trade and as we were resting in one of the villages along our journey, we then were attacked by a large group belonging to the Eastern Horde!"
"I see... What about you dark elves?"
Everyone turned their heads to the 3 women who still shed tears about their father''s death.
At my question, the big sister wiped her tears with her hand and looked at me.
"We... We were... Traveling! Our father was a trader..."
At her words, the old Avian Crow threw a weird face at the girls.
On this moment, I approached the old Avian and whispered.
"Is something wrong?"
He then whispered back to me.
"Sir, dark elves hate trading, in fact, they have a history of refusing to trade or communicate with other races! In fact, the reason they left the other elf races was because they cant stand of how they communicate with others who are not their kind..."
"I see..." I stared at the girls, it was obvious that they were hiding something.
"What about him?" I inquired the old Avian while pointing at the White Bearmen. "Does he not speak?"
"I do not think he knows common language as I never have seen him speak with anyone, the only thing I know is that he is from the Beastmen Race!"
With the dark elves and avians staring at me in silence, I shouted to the bear.
"Hey! You! Can you hear me?"
The big white bear nodded his head. "Yes!"
"Good! Can you tell me what happened to you?"
Everyone at this point were showing their surprised face upon seeing that I was able to speak Beast language.
"Red Demon, what you ask is very personal to me and while I am grateful that you killed my jailors, I first need to ask what you plan to do with us!"
"To answer your question, first I planned to release the goblins as they are family to those that follow me and regarding the rest of you, it will depend, if you are not hostile to me, then I will naturally release you, if not, well, you have seen what happened to that dark elf!"
The big white bearmen was pleased with what I told him as he nodded his head.
"Then I assure that I will not harm you nor any of your followers!"
As he heard my conversation with the white bear, the old Avian gathered his courage to speak again.
"Sir! May we know what you are speaking about with the bearmen?"
I faced the Avians and the dark elves.
"Nothing much! He asked what I would do to you, and I informed him that I will release those who are not hostile to me!"
All of the Avians were very happy at my words, but were still looked worried.
"Sir! You mean it? Is it true that we will be free?" The old Avian smiled as he asked for confirmation.
"Yes! Yes, I mean it!" I promised to the group. "So, how do you get those chains off?"
"The goblin leader must have the key with him!" The old Avian pointed at the dead goblin.
Upon hearing his words, I ran towards the corpse and searched for the key, after finding it under the rags, I returned to the group at once.
(I will release the Avian and the bear now!)
The reason I did not mind releasing them so fast, was because their loyalty was at 60-65. And after saving them and informing that they would be released, it increased to 65-70.
Regarding the dark elf male that I killed, he was at 44 loyalty, and when he dropped to 42 as we spoke, it made me lose my patience, I had no time for rude people with low loyalty.
But despite killing their father, the younger daughters only dropped from 59-62 to 49-50 and the weird thing was the older daughter, how come her loyalty did not change at all?
(Was he really their father? Was he a good father? She has 55 loyalty! Perhaps there must be something wrong in their family?)
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
After releasing the White Bearmen, his lvl changed from lvl4-9 to lvl9.
"Do these chains suppress your power?" I asked the Bear upon seeing his lvl change.
"Yeah, this is the reason why they needed just a small escort for us..." (Bearmen)
(Should I take these chains?)
"Can they track us if I take them with me?"
"No, unless they have the key!" (Avian)
(I shall take everything then!)
The Bearmen and the Avian Crows were released one by one, leaving only the 3 dark elves in handcuffs.
"What about us?" THe elder sister inquired.
The Imp then approached the elves.
"I just killed your father, wont you seek vengeance the moment I release your shackles?"
The elder sister looked at her father''s corpse for a moment then turned to her sisters.
"We wont! I promise!" (Old Sister)
"How come I don''t believe you?"
"Plea... Please trust me!"
The old Avian Crow who had heard us, approached and whispered me.
"Sir, if you allow me to speak, you should trust her, female dark elves never break promises, actually this also applies to all female elves!"
"Fine!" I pointed to the elves. "But if your try something..." I opened my hand and closed it fast, seeming that I was trying to crush something. "Your sisters will pay the price! Is that clear?"
"I promise on my mother''s life!" (Old Sister)
""We promise!"" The younger sisters added.
(Their mother is alive?)
Once all goblins, dark elves, White Bear and Avians were released, I ordered my minions to pickup the loot and prepared to return.
"Sir, to where we go now?" The old Avian Crow asked me.
"Cant you fly home?" I suggested as I stared at his wings.
"No! We need at least 3 days to recover..."
"Well, in that case you can come and rest at the goblin nest, as long as you promise to follow my rules."
"I will accept your offer!" (Old Avian)
"What about you?" I asked the White Bearmen.
"Do you have food?" The bear rubbed his tummy.
"Yes?"
"Then can I come too?"
"Sure!"
Finally, I turned to the dark elves.
"What about you girls?"
"Will you hurt us?" The older sister inquired.
"Sis, what are you saying! He killed our father!" The young sister with twin tail hair spoke.
"We should go home now!" The other young sis with one ponytail added.
"Are you both crazy? What if the Eastern Horde or another enemy finds us? We are far away from home and we got no weapons!" The older sister shouted at her sisters before turning at me. "Please let us go with you, we already promised!"
"Very well, let us depart now! See ya at home!" With this I canceled my spell.
"Sir what do you mean?" Confused at my last words the old Avian inquired.
(Robur lead them safely.)
"Yes Boss!" The goblin shouted as he punched his chest. "Follow me! Robur take you to goblin nest!"
The party, now larger, departed with Robur, the cubs and the Old crow taking the lead while the rest followed behind.
Since I ordered the remained 2 cubs at home to keep a lookout with a few goblins I had managed to have a few more details about the enemy.
The group that left yesterday had not return yet while their patrols were still very active.
As far as the cubs could notice, around every 10 minutes, a new patrol of 6 goblins would leave the camp while the older one returned to rest.
At least 6 to 8 patrols would at all times be out of the camp.
There was a total of 170 enemy goblins on this camp.
2 hours later, the party finally reached near the starting path to the mountain, but due to the patrols, the group was divided into smaller teams as the large group would be easily spotted.
Everytime the patrols would stay far from the path or return home, a team would sneak and go up the mountain.
And so, the trip back was done without any issue, and from an estimate guess, the goblin camp would have not know what had happened for days unless they had reinforcements from the West.
Day 3, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 17
The rescued creatures had just arrived in time for lunch, once they sat in the goblin nest, the goblin elder already had prepared several piles of slimes for everyone to satiate their hunger.
Along the way until now, the old Avian kept speaking with Robur.
"So your Boss made these slimes?" The old Crow asked Robur.
"Yes! They delicious!" The goblin punched his chest as he answered the Avian.
With the Bear, dark elves and the other Avians gathered around this pair, they listened to their conversation as they ate.
At the same time, the newcomer goblins rejoiced their reunion with their kin who were gathered around the goblin elder.
(Seems like everyone was starving, from what the old crow told me, they only ate tiny bits of meat? Now I wonder what I should do?)
There was nothing new at the enemy goblin camp, so I decided to focus on the loot and the body of my minion.
Previously, I had no idea what to do with the body of the goblin, I spoke with the elder goblin, but it was no much use as I learned that the goblins would simply hold their right fist on their chests to grieve their deceased and that they didn''t even need a body to do it so.
So in the end, my Imps brought the chains, the key, the rusty sword, 8 extra wood and the dead goblin''s body into my territory wich provoked some new unlocks.

After Lunch time had been over, I ordered the goblin elder bring me two new goblins to received my mark, these goblins were part of the rescued group, I chose them because they were lvl3.
Goblin has reached lvl4!
Goblin has reached lvl4!
(Consume body!)
This moment, fire spirits left my eye into the direction of the dead goblin body that was in the heart core room.
Slowly the body was consumed and a new popup appeared as the spirits returned to the eye.
Body consumption complete!
Mana acquired: 100
(So it returned twice the amount that I spent on him?!?)
Upon seeing the effects, I ordered the goblin elder to immediately bring me 2 more goblins.
Goblin has reached lvl3!
Goblin has reached lvl3!
(It is too bad that the new group only had 2 lvl3''s, but its better than nothing!)
The goblins then went to pick up their weapons, the lvl4 goblins wanted a spear and a shield, while the lvl3''s only picked a spear as there was no more shields.
Afternoon soon passed and nightfall was near, along all this time, everything was peaceful at the goblin nest.
As timed passed again and my mana recovered, I would recruit more goblins, 6 more goblins joined my ranks, 3 female and 3 male, all of them were lvl3 after receiving my "blessing" and picked a spear as their weapon.
At the start at the night, the White Bearmen suddenly walked to the goblins that were guarding the entrance to my territory.
"Tell your Boss that I have a request for him!" The bear shouted at the goblins.
Day 3, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 18
The bearman was guided by Robur to the heartcore room, on this room, there was also 8 of my goblins who stood guard just in the precaution of the level 9 bear going rogue.
The bearman stood below the altar, gazing upon the monstrous eye.
"You are their leader?" The bear was amazed, but he did not seem surprised. "You are a Chaos Lord?"
The eye looked straight at the bear.
(What is he talking about?)
"Chaos Lord?"
"It''s what we call your race!" The bearmen informed me. "Your kind is very rare, and theres limited knowledge about you..."
"Have you seen one of us before?"
The bearmen denied with his head. "No, but one of my ancestors was once a follower of a Chaos Lord."
"Oh? Wich one?"
"The most famous Chaos Lord, Black! He once controlled the entire North of this continent!"
(Black? If I recall, Blue told me that there were two others called brown and green, but he didn''t mention Black!)
"You know what happened to him?" I inquired the beard.
"He was defeated by an alliance of empires and kingdoms!" (Bearman)
(Interesting, but..)
"You mentioned that you had a request?"
The white bearman smiled.
"Yes, I request your help!" (Bearman)
"Your help? In what?"
"Weeks ago..." The bearman looked down to his feet. "I lived happily on my village, and I had a healthy daughter, a wonderful wife, my wise parents and my older brother..."
Them the bear rose his head to face my eye. "But one day, they came!"
"They?"
"A human mercenary group from Morfir. They entered my village while I was away hunting for meat, when I came back, my family was slaughtered as my old brother was the village elder and refused to surrender! Regarding the rest of my kind, most were also killed, but some were captured!"
The Bearmen paused before continuing.
"I tried to track down the mercs up to the Morfir citadel, only to lose them a few days later.
Finally I used all the gold that I had to buy info from an Intelligence Guild, to only discover that the mercs were not from Morfir land!
They actually work for a rich noble from the Donnhe kingdom!"
(Why am I getting a feeling of Dejavu?)
"Let me guess, after learning that, you travelled for that kingdom, only to get captured along the way?"
"Y-yeah..." The bearmen sighed.
"So the request is?"
The bear looked down on this foot again. "Well... Chaos Lords normaly have power to crush countries... Could... Could you kill everyone involved in my village''s slaughter, and if possible, give freedom to those who were captured?"
(Pink skins, Brown wolves, Maktraka clan, Eastern Horde and now I have to add a rich noble who certainly owns an army and probably has alot of friends in that kingdom?)
"I don''t mind it... But what do I get in return?"
The bear gazed at me and screamed. "You can have me!"
With no control, I immediately spat out my words.
"I DO NOT SWING THAT WAY!"
(I don''t, do I?)
The bearmen was confused at my words until he understood what I meant.
"N-Not that! I meant... I will be one your followers! One of your bodyguards! Or if you wish, I will take the frontlines and die for you!"
A Bear Beastman wishes to become your minion, accepting him will consumed 100 mana!
Will you accept?
Yes?
No?
"I ACCEPT YOU!" I roared inside the HeartCore room.
Bear Beastman has been added to minion tab!
A fire spirit left my eye, going towards the white Bearman, evolving him in a fire tornado.
As he dropped on his feet and his claws scratched the floor, a tribal 8 black tattoo burned on his left shoulder.
Bearman has reached lvl10!
Bearman has unlocked racial skill - War Bear Form
"Thank you for your blessing, Master!"
Just after his words, I threw my question. (Tell me, what is War Bear Form?)
"You know of our unique power?"
(Just the name...)
"Master! Then I will explain everything I know!" The Bearman coughed before continuing."War Bear Form is a unique power that only the higher warriors of the Beastmen Bear tribes can have, it enlarges our bodies greatly into a monstrous fighting form as a WarBear."
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
(Enlarge your body?)
"Yes! It least makes me grow twice my size! And I will also get much stronger in offence and defense as my muscles, claws and fur will be improved!"
(Can I see it now?)
"I am sorry, but I am still too weak to use it... Please give me some hours!"
(Very well, go rest now, let Robur guide you.)
The Bearman bowed his head and the goblins punched their chests before leaving the room.

Meanwhile at the sleeping chamber, a new bed spawned the moment the bearman entered this room, but this bed was different, while it was like the wolf beds, it was twice its size.
"Master, can you hear me?" Suddenly the Bearman spoke, calling my attention.
(Yes?)
"I have something for you!" The bearman informed me.
(What is it?)
"I will bring it to your room, master." With haste, the bear left the sleeping chamber, heading into the heartcore room and went up the stairs to the top of the altar.
"One second master!"
(Okay...)
The Bearman searched his pants, and from them, took out a roll of paper.
(What''s that?)
"I got this from Morfir, it''s a map!" The bear informed with pride as he opened and laid the map on the ground.
(A map?)
The map showed the pieces of land painted, all surrounded by sea with many names and pictures that confused me.
(Care to explain the map to me?)
"Of course master! But keep in mind that I don''t have much detail on everything..."
Then the bear started to explain the land from the East.
From the East, there was the largest continent Meostria, on the NorthWest of it, stood the barren lands wich was mostly controlled by the Eastern Horde.
The Eastern Horde was a powerfull Horde comprised green skins and other beastial races, they were lead by a royal clan who was mainly located at their capital Grogragh, wich was a massive stronghold city.
To the North East, were the snowy lands of Morfir, this name was also given to its only major city on this land.
Morfir who initially started as a military camp by a company named Black Legion, was a city of outlaws, mercenaries and refugees, the former company was so strong that until this day, their families were still in charge, ruling the city with an iron fist.
To the East of the barren lands and south of Morfir snow lands, stood one of the twin neutral kingdoms, Donnhe, its sister kingdom was Gwonn.
These 2 kingdoms until today remained as allies as they were surrounded by threats from every side, and both had mostly a human population.
On the furthest NorthEast of the continent, was Katemo, kingdom of beastmen and demons, meanwhile to the west, stood a Beast city with a massive Port named Mirilan.
To the south of these lands, stood the Kirrum Empire, wich was lead by the royal Kirrum family in the capital of Kirrum and its two important City Ports, Brulm and Vulm.
In the south of this empire, there was another empire, the Elven Empire.
The second continent was named Agis and four massive islands stood between the two mentioned continents.
This map only mentioned the top important cities or strongholds and its current religion standing from the past decades.
Unfortunately, the Bearman did not know much about the rest of the world.
(You don''t know anything else?)
"Master, the only thing that I could add, is that the Eastern Horde and the Donnhe kingdom started a war a few weeks ago..."
Day 3, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 19
"Master, the only thing that I could add, is that the Eastern Horde and the Donnhe kingdom started a war a few weeks ago..."
The moment I heard these words from my minion, I now knew why the Maktraka Clan had broken their agreement with the Brow wolves and passed through the neutral territory.
(You have any details on the war?) I inquired the white Bearmen.
"Master, from what I heard in Morfir..." The bearman pointed at the land between the 2 factions on the map and explained to me.
"Almost a month ago, the Eastern Horde crossed the western border of Donnhe, conquered 2 fortresses and plundered the nearby towns and villages.
But despite their aggression, Donnhe on the other hand had simply evacuated to the east side and maintained a defensive frontline."
He then pointed to Gwonn. "I was told that at the moment Donnhe warned their ally Gwonn, they would soon send a massive army to help their ally repel the invaders.
But since mustering such army would take a while, the Eastern Horde has been focusing on breaking Gwonn''s line before they arrive."
(That''s natural, either they take on one enemy at a time or risk facing both at the same time...)
The bear then frowned.
"But what I don''t get it, is why one of their clans focusing on this land that is so far from the frontlines, also why hit one of Morfir''s villages? Even if the Black Legion doesn''t care about one or two small villages being destroyed, they will retaliate the moment they see the troop movements..."
(Tell me one thing, how come the frontline only stretches on the west?)
"Uh? That? Well..." The Bear put his pawn on his chin. "I think its because of the dark mountains on the North and the fact that the Kirrum Empire owns the south?"
(The south I understand, but whats that thing? Dark mountains?)
"Dark mountains are the hardest mountains to travel, and they are especially dangerous on winter! If any of the sides marched, an army trough them, it would be the same as asking them to commit suicide!"
(What if they use a path that isn''t in a dark mountain?)
"A path that isn''t through a dark mountain? There is one wich can lead to both Morfir and Donnhe from Grogragh''s barren lands, but its full of neutral forces, this is why the Black Legion doesn''t have troops on the south as its naturally protected by wild monsters such as 2 massive wolfpacks..."
"Wait, actually now that I realize it, we are right in between the 3 factions..."
(Yes, from what I can tell, the Eastern Horde is probably using the Maktraka clan to clean up the path to Donnhe...)
With this action, the Eastern Horde could simply create a new path wich would cause Donnhe''s defensive line to be useless and if their reinforcements did not arrive before that, there was a chance that their country would be erased.
"That sure makes my life harder..." The bear sighed at this situation.
With this, there are higher chances, that all white bearmen who were captured would be killed or used as meatshields, and that the rich noble would simply run away to another country to avoid danger.
(Anything else that you know of?)
"No, Master..."
(Then you can go and get some rest!)
The white Bearmen nodded his head before leaving the room.
To the East, outside the Maktraka goblin camp, 40 brown wolves had been stealthy hiding nearby as their leader watched the camp closely.
"So it is true, these bastards want to steal our territory!" The olf brown wolf with a scar mumbled.
"What do we do?" Another wolf spoke to him.
"They have too many... Let us rejoin Lead Hunter!" The olf wolf commanded the pack.
The group immediately departed as it was impossible for them to kill 165 goblins with just 40 warriors.
As my minions kept watching the goblin camp, I remembered something. (Wait, from what the morgue said, doesn''t it mean that the corpses will rot?)
With this in mind, Robur had spend most of the rest of the night cutting the furs of the remaining wolf and ratmen bodies allowing me to have 9 fur/skins.
At the same time, all the meat bodies that could not be hagged in the food storage walls were given to the slimes, this caused a slime baby boom, increasing their number from 380 to 12160.
(It is a good thing that these slimes stack so well together, if not, I would have a giant mess to deal with...)
As the group of slimes stacked well on each other, just one tile of the food storage could perfectly store 10000 slimes.
Slowly, another 6 goblins were turned into my minions, 2 lvl3 and 4 lvl2 goblins.
And now all goblins from the rescued group were now my minions while only 1 male goblin, 5 goblin mothers and their children remained unrecruited.
Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
(In a few hours, I will recruit the rest of the goblins!)
But at this moment, another problem rose up, the sleeping chamber could fit 36 small beds, and now, it only had 5 spots left as the rest was occupied.
(I don''t even have beds for all the goblins...)
After thinking a bit more, I reached my decision.
(For now, I will just recruit that last goblin, those 5 females and 5 babies will remain in the goblin nest, and for now I will leave those 4 spots open, maybe for the Avian crows, but from their size, they will each use a medium size bed... geez... I never thought I would need more space this fast!)
It was now morning, and the elder goblin along with others, moved stacks of slimes to the goblin nest, so that they could have breakfast.
After the meal, the old Avian Crow turned to the goblin elder and informed him that he requested an audience with his boss.
(So it''s his turn, uh? Bring him in!)
Soon after, the Avian entered the heartcore room.
"Old Crow has seen Red Lord!" The Old Avian bowed his head towards the massive red eye.
"It seems you are recovering well, and how''s the wings?" The big eye spoke to him.
"They are improving well! Thank you for your food, and it seems to help us heal fast! I think we will be able to fly again at the end of the day!" The Old Avian spoke filled with happiness.
(Help you heal? Oh now that you mention it!)
At hearing the Old Avian Crow''s words, I remembered that some of the newly recruited goblins were previously wounded before, but before receiving the "blessing", they were fully healed.
"It is good to hear that, but I wonder, what will you do after this night?" I inquired the Avian.
"If possible, we wish to return to our village, we have been away for a while and our families might be worried!" (Old Avian)
"I see... Well, I have no issues in letting you go, but before that, I hope you could help me with some issues?"
"Of course! I will help Lord as much as I can!" (Old Avian)
"Well then..."
At this moment, the bearman entered the room, with his left arm, he held a pile of red slimes.
(Show him the map.)
"Yes master!" Upon hearing my command, the bear took out the map and laid on the floor between the altar and the Avian, then he sat on his right side and kept eating.
The Old Avian looked at the map. "Oh! I haven''t seen one of these in years!"
"Could you tell me what you know about the war between the Eastern Horde and the Donnhe kingdom?" I inquired the Avian.
"They are at war again?" (Old Avian)
"Yes, it started weeks ago!" (Bear)
"So you don''t even know that they are at war right now?" (Red)
"No! I am sorry, but I don''t have much knowledge about whats happening in the south of Morfir..." (Old Avian)
(Explain to him what we talked before.)
With a nod, the bearman explained everything to the Old Avian.
"It seems that the Eastern Horde will finally conquer Donnhe..." (Old Avian)
"What makes you say that?" (Red)
"Well, in the past wars, both sides were tied, but this time it is different!" (Old Avian)
"How different?" (Red)
"In the past, Gwonn and the Kirrum empire would help Donnhe while Morfir would remain neutral to supply troops and provisions to both sides for a profit.
But a few years ago, the Eastern Horde had made an alliance with the centaur clans, wich have been giving trouble to the Kirrum empire for a while.
And regarding Morfir, considering how they had done nothing when losing a village while allowing the Eastern Horde''s troops to march in these snowy lands, it problably means they got paid to allow the Eastern Horde passge of the south territory..." (Old Avian)
"So you really think that Donnhe will lose that badly?" (Bear)
"It depends on how long they can last until reinforcements arrive..." (Old Avian) "I mean, the only reason they survived this long, was because of their strongholds and earth dragon knights!"
"Earth dragon knights?" (Red)
"Yes! They are far stronger than the giant boar mounts of the Eastern clan!" (Old Avian)
(I don''t know what are those either...)
"What about your village?" (Red)
"Ah? My village is far away, to the extreme North, it''s on a massive clift, near the sea on wich you can only get there by flying. It is the main reason why we have lived peaceful for generations..." (Old Avian)
"Good, perhaps some day I will visit you?" (Red)
"That would be an honor! We would welcome you with open wings!" (Old Avian)
"I wanted to know more about this war, but since you don''t know more, I have a another thing to ask of you!" (Red)
"Oh! If I can help then, Lord can just say it!" (Old Avian)
"Would you help me get revenge against the goblins that captured you?" (Red)
The Avian was surprised at my words.
"As much as I would like to help you, we are not that strong in terms of fighting..." (Old Avian)
While the Avians where the same size of humans, they were very skiny, but were filled with feathers to disquise their frail figure, they have 2 legs, 2 arms, and the 2 wings on their back had great potential, but since their hands had only 3 fingers, they were not very good at using certain common weapons.
"Don''t worry! The only thing that I ask is that if you are able to be fly fast and have enough strength to hold a goblin!" (Red)
"That''s easy! We can do that once this day is over!" (Old Avian)
"Excellent!" (Red)
Day 4, 1st Month of the Winter Season, 600.AC
Chapter 20
The conversation ended with me explaining the details to the Old Avian while the Bearman kept us company inside the heartcore room.
The rest of the day was spent peacefully, the only new thing was that the goblin camp lvl9 leader started to shout on the afternoon, at first I thought that they had found the slaver''s group, but after hearing his shouts, he was mad that the group he sent to the brown wolves territory had not return yet.
At nightfall, Robur approached the Avians who sat on the ground resting.
"Boss ask if you ready?" (Robur)
Upon hearing these words, the 7 Avian Crows rose up and moved around their wings.
"Who wants to fly with me this night!" (Old Avian)
""""We will fly with you!"""" The other 6 Crows proclaimed to their elder.
The departing group then gathered at the entrance where the guards kept watching over the goblin camp.
On this new party were the 7 Avians, Robur and the gray wolf cub.
"C¡¯mon little one, I wont let you fall!" The Old Avian promised the small cub before taking her on his arms.
At the same time, a younger Avian approached Robur.
"Robur will fly!" (Robur)
"Hold on!" The young Avian then flapped his wings, and with his legs, he grabbed Robur by his shoulders while Robur in return grabbed the Avian''s ankles.
It was safer for Robur to be transported this way as the Avian legs were much stronger than their arms.
With everyone ready, the party departed into the skies heading to the East, and after searching for a bit, the cub found their first target.
This target was none other than a goblin patrol, and with the cubs eyes, I was able to easily spot where those goblins were going.
Upon deciding a good spot, the young Avian put Robur on the ground and returned to his group.
While Robur was hiding, the 7 Avians stood high in the air, waiting for the patrol to appear.
Slowly the patrol of 6 goblins passed by Robur, unaware that he was hiding just near them.
Suddenly the gray wolf roared from the Old Avian''s arms, wich scared the goblins.
As the goblins were now focused on the wolf noise that came from their front, the 6 Avians flew down like arrows from their back.
And before the goblins could turn their back to see what was coming, the Avians already grabbed their arms, lifting them goblins to the air.
The 6 Avians who carried the patrol, returned to the Old Avian.
The Old Avian watched the goblins struggling to defend themselves, but it was no use as the strong feet of the Avians were dug deep inside their arms.
"Release them." (Old Avian)
All the 6 Crows followed their elder command and immediately "liberated" the goblins.
At this moment Robur left his hideout, he laughed at watching the goblins falling to their certain deaths.
"AHahah! Die Trash!" (Robur)
Then six goblins dropped the floor like glass hitting a rock, 5 of them died from the crash and one was still alive.
Robur approached this survivor, he had his legs and an arm broken.
"No! P-please!" The crippled goblin begged Robur.
"Die!" (Robur)
With one of his daggers, Robur slowly cut the enemies''s throat.
After the ambush was done and the enemy patrol defeat, it was time for the cleanup, while the Young Avian picked up Robur, Robur also held the enemies clubs on his arms.
At the same time, including the Old Avian, the other Avians picked the dead bodies and returned home to get some rest.
For the rest of the night, the same continued, the party of 9 would fly out after resting for 10 minutes and ambush another patrol.
Even if several goblins survived the downfall, they would always be broken to even move, and Robur was always there to finish them off easily since the patrols were goblins of lvl1 to lvl4.
The first 3 ambushes were done in the this pattern, first East, second North, and third West, then, the second round of 3 ambushes occurred first at West, then North and finally East.
(From the direction of the attacks, they will think it was the brown wolves!)
A total of 36 goblins died on this night, wich in turn, their bodies and weapons would be used as resources for me.
In the end, this allowed me to get 36 wood and after giving the bodies to the slimes, they reproduced twice, from 12160 to 24320 to 48640, filling almost 5 tiles of the room.

(Now that I think of it, what about the dark elves? Those girls have been pretty quiet all this time!)
The 3 dark elf sisters have been the less social of the rescued group, until now, upon arriving at the goblin nest, they simply chose a place to lay down and stood there at all times, with the exception of the elder sister with long silver hair, who would approach the goblin elder to get the food for her and her sisters when it was time to eat.
Even then, she spoke no words, simply taking the food to her sisters, they would stay quiet, somethings they would whisper to each others and even cry without letting the rest of the room notice.
At most of the times, it was them griefing their lost father or complaining that they don''t have a bed or cant take a bath, so at the start, I simply ignored them.
(Lets see how long they will take to speak to me...)
Back at the Maktraka goblin camp, the lvl9 goblin leader was very nervous.
"WHERE THEY ARE!" The goblin constantly shouted every time he left his tent.
At first, he thought that the patrols were simply delayed as they might have spotted some prey to hunt, but as time passed, he realized that something serious must have happened to them.
The more he thought, the more mad he had become, now not only 6 patrols were missing, but also the recon party that he had sent to scout had not reported back.
Finaly, he got some news after sending a search party, while no bodies were found, it was obvious that the patrols were defeated as at the locations, dried black blood still painted some of the vast snow lands.
The goblin pondered on what to do, and after reaching his decision, he ordered the patrols to be less, but those fewer patrols would be increased from 6 to 20 goblins, at the same time, the number of sentries around the camp had increase 3 times.
Now the goblin camp was at max alert, with 2 thirds of them always being on guard duty.
Back at the heartcore room, I was felling unconfortable.
(It seems the 35 goblins he sent out are missing? It must have been the brown wolves!)
(But still, they lost a fourth of their army, so why wont they either attack or fall back?)
This was a weird situation, they were losing troops and just sat there?
At a good distance from this place at East, on the brown wolf western border, two groups of wolves had just joined together.
"Lead hunter!" (Old wolf)
"Ah! You returned on a good time!" (Lead Hunter)
"Did something happen?" (Old Wolf)
"Yes! We got word from Patriarch that the rest of our territory is now secured!" (Lead Hunter)
"Thats indeed good news!" (Old Wolf)
"Surely it is, but we are not done here yet, Patriarch has ordered that we conquer the neutral territory as soon as possible!" (Lead Hunter)
"That might be a problem..." (Old Wolf)
"How so?" (Lead Hunter)
"Lead Hunter! I have to report that we found a goblin party that crossed out border! It was a recon team, so we cleaned them out with no losses!" (Old Wolf) "But..."
"But?" (Lead hunter)
"But after we went forward into the neutral territory, we found a sizeable goblin camp with at least 160 goblins!" (Old Wolf)
The Lead Hunter sighed at what he had just heard.
"Its great that we did not rush into the neutral territory and its even better that you decreased their numbers!" (Lead Hunter)
Even with their victory, it would be impossible to defeat the goblins, as that the current troops available to fight them were 120 wolves.
But what the wolves didn''t know, was that the goblins now had less than 130 goblins thanks to an unknow third party.
