This earth is also 15.7 Billion years old and the human population has only just started 4.543 Billion years ago. The current technology is a mix of qi and our version of technology. Therefore I feel that technology would be more advance due to the qi part of the world. Since people live longer lives in this world each individual are able to learn further before passing it on to the next generation. As for their current technology they are 100 years ahead of us. If there are any question leave a question below. Questions That have been asked- Guns-In our universe guns are great and awesome but in this universe guns will eventually become obsolete due to qi. Guns are useful when people are facing Martial Realms practitioners and down but once a person ascends to Heavens Realm guns are pointless. There are many more points why but it will turn into an essay if I do. Biggest factor is to make gun weapons useful it is too costly verses using swords. Guns vs Arrows- Guns-Faster speed, rapid fire, and light. Less Qi require. Overall weak in power and penetration. Arrow-Greater Power, reusability, Greater qi storing ability. Overall Greater Power and penetration but less speed. Chapter 1: Bad Luck Meeting Xing Jun stood on top of a cliff as his stretched out hand could block out the sun. Dancing on his palm was a bright blue flame that looked like it could freeze even hell. In Jun''s eyes the flame was a beauty. On this mountain cliff he truly felt alone and relaxed. Without his father, sister, friends, and subordinates to bother him. As his eyes gazed upon Ziyou City and the ice blue flame dancing in his palm Jun''s mind wandered back to the time he first learned pill making. Dingalingdingalingdingaling! Jun reaches into his pocket and pulls out a cell phone like device. On the screen it reads 77 missed calls and 218 unread messages. Ugh, Jun thought to himself. "Hello?" "Eh Xing Jun where the hell are you!?" The female voice on the other end roars. "We have all be here waiting for you for more than an hour now!" Feeling irritated Jun shuts off the phone and looks at the building that the meeting is being held at. Its a modern day 50 story building except it is made out of some of the toughest materials on this planet. Due to the materials the building is able to take a couple hits from a peak King realm cultivator. In this world of cultivators an individual''s power can be divided into a hierarchy. Starting from Martial Body Realm, then Refinement Realm, Nascent Realm, Martial Realm, Master Realm, King Realm, Heaven Realm, Ancestor Realm, Titan Realm, and finally Emperors Realm. Furthermore every realm is divided into seven stages. Also each individual who transcends the previous realm, are granted greater strength, power, speed, perception, and life span. It is known at the peak existence of Emperor''s Realm that they can live forever, and travel the earth spanning 125000 miles in a second. Thinking of his father Jun decided that he should be attending the meeting now. Furthermore the distance from the mountain to the building was only 200 miles away. With his current cultivation at stage seven Master Realm he should be able to get there in 30 minutes if he runs at a constant speed. Jun could currently maintain a speed of 400 miles easily and if he pushes it he can move at a speed of 700 miles an hour but that would drain him too quickly. As he began sprinting down the mountain his thoughts began to wanderer around. After a couple minutes he was sprinting along the highway system in this world. As his mind wanderer about he didn''t notice a giant white rabbit sprinting from behind using void blink. The rabbit would be appearing and disappearing on the highway. Jun didn''t sense any killing intent, and due to that he didn''t notice the 2 ton rabbit until it void blink above his head. It came crashing down on top of him. Due to his extremely quick reaction he happen to see two rhinos speeding up from his right side and there was a rock wall to his right therefore his only choice was to use instant movement to move forward 100 meters in a quarter of a second, but the rabbit and his rider didn''t notice him. "STOP!" Jun shouted. Hearing Jun''s shout the rider puts on the brakes and a couple items tied behind the rabbits back flew into the air at an extreme speed towards Jun. With his quick eye sight he saw what the items that were flying at him were. Moonlight star grass already refined into starlight goo in a transparent container worth 800 spirit stones. Lower tier Dragon bone powder worth 300 spirit stones. Fire rock 200 spirit stone. Nuwa lotus with 4 petals 550 spirit stones. There were a total of 8 ingredients in the air. Being a genius alchemist his attitude towards pill ingredients was to protect them. His hand flew out and gently caught each and everyone of the items. Not only his hands but his legs too. When he caught the last item somehow the container broke apart and the powder inside sprayed all over him. Noticing the smell and texture Jun instantly knew what this powder was. It was the fire lizard''s manure. These manure were made into powders so they can be used to ignite and maintain the temperature of fire. His expression turns ugly and he instantly puts all the items on him onto the floor except one container. Because of the material Jun can''t just use qi to dusk himself off. If he does he would be lighting himself on fire. He looks up and saw a girl that was a similar age to him. She had coal black hair, bright brown eyes, and a gorgeous smile. Her looks were above average but not enough to start a war. She was giggling nonstop at the sight of Jun covered in poop powder. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. Jun walks over angry and said as calmly as he can, "get down." "Hahaha," she continues to laugh but one can clearly see she was trying to hold herself back. Seeing her continue to laugh Jun''s hand reaches up and took the beast guiding ropes from her hand with a irritated expression. She stops laugh and slides down. Then she begins laugh again when she saw Jun covered in manure from head to toe. "Let me ask you," Jun said irritatedly, "why don''t you put your items inside a box, or inter spacial ring? Because of you I''m covered in shit." She looks at him awkwardly and replies giggling, "I''m sorry." She then tries to dusk him off with her hands. "Hahaha its funny isn''t it?" Jun asks sarcastically. Noticing the tone and sarcasm she instantly shuts up and shakes her head up and down then left to right as she tries to correct herself. Her mouth was also grinning from ear to ear like she was trying with all her might to hold back her laughter. "Let me tell you these suit I''m wearing costs a couple thousand spirit stones. Can you afford it?" He asks sternly. Trying to diffuse the situation with a awkward laugh she tries to pat him down again, "Hahaha! Don''t be so angry. You look so cute like this through." "Cute?" Jun sarcastically smiles as his hand moves to open the jar on him. "Alright. Alright. I''ll let you be cute to then." His hand flew up and pours a blueish why powder from inside the jar all over her. She didn''t even have time to react. It was the arctic fox manure grind and dried into a powder. She instantly stops laughing. Jun fakes a laugh, "Hahaha, look at you. So cute now too." Then he walks away. "You!" the girl tries to shout feeling frustrated, and victimized. "You!" After walking a couple meters he remembers that he can''t be running in this powder or else the friction from his speed would cause a fire. Remembering that the rabbit could void blink, Jun shamelessly turns back. "Hey, bring me to that hotel over there!" Jun commanded and points toward the direction. Feeling partially responsible she sighs and groggily agrees. When they arrive at the hotel she stops her rabbit at the front as she read the sign. Brothel. Looking at Jun suspiciously. Jun rolls his eyes and said, "Can you hurry it up? I have an important event to go to!" "So do I." Reluctantly she commands her beast to go inside. See her doing the tasks so slow Jun walks over to a desk attended and got them a room. Seeing the prices for the room she decided to just share a room to take a shower with Jun. When they arrive at the room they both notice that the shower system was out in the open for all to see. Oh my god, Jun thought to himself, can this day get any worse? Before she could react Jun turns around and said, "Oh, thanks." Then shuts the door on her before she steps into the room. "Hey!" She shouts. Cracking the door open a little, "I''ll take the shower first." Then shuts the door again. "Hey!" She shouts again helplessly. Getting her phone out she made a phone call."Sorry I''ll be late. I''ll be there as soon as I can." Then a maid walks over and asks, "Do you need any help?" Not noticing the maid she answers, "Yeah, I been so unlucky today. I can''t even get in my room that I just paid half for. Once I take a shower I''ll be there." "Oh I can help you with that," She replies, whipping out her master key and swinging the door wide open. While on the phone she notices the door open from the corner of her eyes and subconsciously looks inside. She saw June in his bare ass. Water running down his face, and well tone body muscles. As she follows the running water she saw Jun''s baby dragon between his legs. "AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" she screams with the maid. Hearing someone suddenly scream he turns around. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Jun screams too and covers his ass cheeks and baby dragon. "SOMEONE HELP! PERVERT!" Jun''s hand extended outward as a blast of qi flew out hitting the door. Due to being so flustered Jun didn''t control his qi and the door was blast to bits instead of closing. "HEY! WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING FOR! I''M THE ONE THAT SHOULD BE SCREAMING!" Jun shouts back. "HURRY UP AND TURN AROUND!" She turns around and covers the maid''s eyes who was drooling. Jun used his qi to create a dense mist. Then he took a quick shower and brought out a new black suit with a red tie from his inter spacial ring. Jun was surprise when he saw that the door was already fixed. "Alright. I''m gonna be leaving now. I have a meeting that I''m late for." Jun said in a lecturing tone. "Meeting you was my bad luck." "Hey," the girl said hitting Jun on the back. "Its me whose unlucky! Okay!" Jun pauses at her stupidity. "Really? Um who got covered in shit powder? Who was seen naked by two people? Che." "Sorry. I didn''t do it on purpose." She said apologetically. "Ooohhh really now. You think an apology can solve everything?" "Then?" she said flirtatiously moving her shirt. "Do you want to see me naked too?" "Hey. I don''t wanna take advantage of you. Lets just leave at that." Jun said magnanimously and pats her shoulder. He turns around and was about to leave. "Wait a sec!" She calls out. Jun freezes and thought, does she really want me to see her naked? "What now?" "You look like that... Martial Dao, Pill Dao genius, unrivaled within 300 mile of Ziyou city Xing Jun!" she shouts. Jun smirks, and rolls his eyes and left. "You''re Xing Jun right?!" she continues to shout. Chapter 2: I Need A Vacation At the Starwood Hotel building where the Young Alchemist meeting was being held, Jun''s sister Xing Feng was yelling at her subordinate Ting Mei, and Xu Hong. "Have you found him yet?" Feng shouts at Ting Mei and Xu Hong. "Not yet boss," Mei answers. "I''ll try calling Bu Fan and see if he knows where boss Jun is at." "I''ll try calling all his favorite restaurants, gyms, cultivation spots and hangout spots," Xu hong added. "Hurry, hurry times almost up," Feng shouts and beckon another subordinate towards her. "You go and order another 50 Nascent cultivators and search the city for him. Call in, when you find him." "Where the hell could he be?" She mutters to herself. Mei and Hong both looked up when they were calling, and saw Jun strolling in nonchalantly. "Boss Feng," they both cried out. Feng sees the direction that their eyes were directed towards and turns around, seeing Jun. "Brother! You''re here!" She shouted excitedly but Jun saw something different. It was the calm before the storm. "How could you keep the judges'' waiting? We couldn''t find you anywhere." She nags. Out of nowhere Jun saw a slap to his head coming in. He quickly dodges it by ducking down. "Boss Jun, Boss Feng we better hurry there''s only another 30 minutes left before the judging round," Mei reminded them. "Yeah, lets go," Mei agrees. "Wait a minute," Jun said. "Let me ask you something." The three looks at Jun in confusion. "You three have been working and running this company for four to five years now and you two have worked in the pill industry for over 10 years now so you should know better than me what alchemy means to an alchemist and the market." The three looks at each other and shrugs in confusion. They all thought to themselves isn''t it to differentiate themselves from the market and make money for cultivation? "So... As elites in the pill market we spent a whole year studying, and dissecting other people pills, just to improve our own by a measly 2 to 3 percent in effects. Then we show it off like its a miraculously break through in this competition that we dominated for 4 years now. What is the meaning in all this?" Jun asks mockingly. Jun felt like he has been stagnant in his pill studies for the last year. The three smiles awkwardly. "It doesn''t matter. The time limit is almost ending. You should get going. We can discuss this later," Mei responded. Jun smirks but didn''t argue with her. Inside the grand hall sat three powerhouse Alchemist in the industry. They are rank 4 Pill kings. "You think that young alchemist Jun will make it?" an elderly sage asks? "Mang even if he does make it now. Do you believe that a mere rank 2 pill king can make those 3 pills in 30 minutes? Even a rank 3 pill king would have trouble," another Alchemist replies. His eyes sharp like a sword, and looks to be in his 50s. "Dao La Others might not, but he might be able too. A 16 year old rank 2 pill king that manage to dominate 63% of the market in Ziyou city. That is not an easy accomplishment even for us rank 4 pill kings." A sharp elderly woman''s voice replies. "You are all thinking too much. If he had the capabilities he would long have been a rank 3 pill king never mind rank 2," the alchemist known as Dao La replies. "Hahaha Bing Xia is right. For a 16 year old to enter the market 4 years ago and eclipse 63% of Ziyou City''s market it is not an accomplishable feat by anyone. When I was his age I just passed my rank 1 exam never mind getting market shares." "You''re just mad because the creative pills that he came up with took 80% of your muscle strengthening, and healing pill market."You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. "He might have just been lucky to have found an ancient ruin of a ancient alchemist." "And successfully come out alive at age 12?" Mang scoffs. Screech! The grand door opens up and Jun grandly enters. "Mr. Xing please follow me this way to your station," an employee instructed. Jun follows him to his station and there was a list of the pills they want and the minimum effects it must reach. Blood Rejuvenation Pill: Be able to heal skin wound completely in 1 hour. Light internal injuries in 3 hours. Physic Empowering Pill: Increase a cultivator''s physical strength by 50% for 30 minutes. Qi Replenish Pill: Replenish 50% of a Nascent Realm Cultivators qi at the first stage. So basic Jun thought to himself. His inter spacial ring flashes and a cauldron about 4 feet wide and 3 feet tall. In all honesty Jun doesn''t need the Cauldron at all to refine these pills but if he was to make pills from thin air, he would be inviting trouble. This is because the technique and flame he would use to do it would cause cities and sects to fight over it. Jun threw all the ingredients into the cauldron all at once. This caused the three judges to frown in displeasure. "Che even an idiot knows not to throw in all the ingredients at once," Dao La commented to the other two judge. "Lets just wait and see what he is doing," laughs judge Xia. Even she is a little skeptical but being a champion 4 years in a row was not due to luck. Mang stayed quiet and carefully examines Jun''s cauldron. To his surprise he notice that he couldn''t probe inside. Inside the cauldron Jun''s ice blue flame were cooling down the ingredients while the raging flame outside was melting it down. With the heat and cool method the ingredients refinement rate was exponentially decrease from 1 to 2 hours to a mere 3 to 5 minutes. After 10 minutes Jun stops the flame and 36 pills came flying out of the Cauldron. The three judges thought to themselves, "the fuck?" "I''m done," Jun announces and a referee came over to check the cauldron and take the highest grade pills from each set. Dao La stands up and announces, "We will now start grading everyone''s pills." They first laid it all out onto the table as their eyes and spirit sense examines the pills. Then they writes down each pill''s grade next to their assigned number. Next they brought out a four feet cube with a monitor on top. This is was a pill testing computer. A couple hundred years back they use lightning cats to test the pills because of their quick digestive system. Then an individual name Johan Tesla invent this computer system a hundred years ago. It is a combination of formation, present technology, and collection of data. The room for error from this computer was only a measly 0.001 percent. As each pills were slide through Pill exam machine the results were displayed on the screen. Station 1: Blood Rejuvenation Pill: Be able to heal skin wound completely in 47 minutes. Light internal injuries in 2.8 hours. Physic Empowering Pill: +43% for 20 minutes. Qi Replenish Pill: Replenish 55% of a Nascent Realm Cultivators qi at the first stage. This goes on for 20 minutes until it was Jun''s turn. The most speculator result out of that was from station 43. Station 43: Blood Rejuvenation Pill: Be able to heal skin wound completely in 32 minutes. Light internal injuries in 2 hours. Physic Empowering Pill: +70% for 35 minutes. Qi Replenish Pill: Replenish 65% of a Nascent Realm Cultivators qi at the first stage. As Jun''s pill goes through and the results comes out the people in the room''s jaw drops to the floor. Station 100: Blood Rejuvenation Pill: Be able to heal skin wound completely in 15 minutes. Light internal injuries in 45 minutes. Physic Empowering Pill: +100% for 40 minutes. Qi Replenish Pill: Replenish 110% of a Nascent Realm Cultivators qi at the first stage. May be able to help stage one Nascent Realm Cultivators make a break through to stage 2. "Are we done?" Jun yawns. His voice woke up the whole audience. Dao La wants to yell out you cheated but the results don''t lie. Furthermore all three judges focused 90% of their attention on Jun during his refinement process. There was no way for him to cheat. They began to mentally chat among themselves. "Bing Xia if you were in his position do you think you can produce the same effects," Mang asks. "No. The best I can do is about 80 percent of his effects. Dao La what about you?" "In my best condition it would only be a little bit better than your''s." Bing Xia eyes rolled backward in annoyance. "Lets just announce the winner and get it over with. I am very curious as how he manage to do it." Dao La stands up again and announces, "winner for this year''s Young Alchemist Meet is Xing Jun. Second place goes to the Mang Lan, and third place goes to Bu Fanfan." A loud round of applause were thundering through the room. "Xing Jun if you can come up and say a few words and accept your prize." Jun smiles and walks up onto the stage before the microphone. His sister and her subordinates also followed up. Jun''s eyes exams across the crowd. "Hello fellow alchemist. I would like to ask you one question... What is alchemy?" His eyes shifting among the crowd challenging them. "Can you?" He pointed. "Or you answer it?" "No one?" Jun asks mockingly. "Okay, I''ll answer it for you then. Alchemy is the embodiment of a alchemist. Their creativity, ideals, sweat, motivation, and curiosity. Only with all that can we improve and break through those shackles. Only then can our buyers appreciate our creations. Thereby valuing it for pill itself. What I am trying to say is... That these pills that I created and the ones in the past year were not... my idealistic pill creations. In my eyes they are trash." Are you fucking kidding me? the audience and judge thought to themselves. If the pills you created are trash, then what in abominations have we been doing for the last 20 to 50 years. F*ck your *** and whole 8 f*cking generation. "So, starting today, I have decided to stop creating pills. Until I rediscover my passion and my reason these creations. Basically I need a vacation!" Jun smiles playfully. "Thank you!" Then he speed walks down from the podium. Chapter 3: Escaping From The Hotel "Insolent brat!" Dao La roars. "XING JUN!" Feng rages as she chases after Jun. "What do you mean rediscover your passion? And stop creating pills?" "Exactly what I said," Jun answers in a matter oh fact tone. "Better question yet for how long?" "Um uh, about 4 months." "No pills, or work for 4 months?" "Yup. So don''t call me. Text me. Look for me, and I''ll call if I need you." Swish! Jun ran. "Stop!" Feng shouts and runs after him. Jun flew through the door. Then glides downstairs in one fluid movements. The hops out one of the doors. Behind him was an army of guards. "Jun stop running! Wait until dad hears about this!" Jun then his behind the door. The army of guards raided through the door without noticing him presence. They turned around once they were half way down the hallway before spotting Jun again. Jun spun around and continues to run downstairs onto the first floor. Boom! Boom! Clap! Boom! If Jun didn''t know any better he thought he was being chased down by a stampede of elephants. He cuts through the kitchen. Grabs a bottle of oil and pours it all behind him. Then he creates a double image of himself cuts into the bathroom when no one was looking. The guards caught sight of the illusion Jun and chases after him. Hearing them run further and further away, Jun quickly changes into a new set of clothes from his inter spacial ring. These were casual wear that many common people can wear. A grayish brown jacket. A black jogger, cap and a pair of fake glasses. Jun then props the door open a crack to check out the situation. Seeing no one around he came out of hiding. Jun when he was turning down a corner at the end of the hallway a hand pops out from behind the corner. This scared the living soul out of him. "Young Master you''re gonna need an aura changing mask," an old but lively voice said calmly as a pure Snow White mask appears in his hand. This seemly old man in his 60s was Jun''s loyal butler/bodyguard. "Thanks Bu Fan," Jun said sincerely then scowls, "but next time at least sent me a mental message. That nearly scared me to death." "Young master where would the fun be?" Bu Fan jokes. Jun quickly puts on the white mask. Instantly his cultivation drops down to the nascent realm and his soul aura chances. No one noticed Jun at all as he walks out of the hotel. Feeling relieved he jogs to the park at a normal speed taking in the scenery. For the first time he wasn''t bogged down by unnecessary thoughts. At the park he saw a cute little girl crying when she trip and fell playing tag and her mom came flying towards her. She cuddles the little child in her arm carrying her to a lake nearby to wash her bruises. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Jun couldn''t help but smile. It was a heart warming scene he thought to himself. Shaking his head he thought to himself, maybe I miss my mom. "Yo you''re finally here!" A male in his mid to late twenties shouted from across the park with decent looks. He was also slight taller than Jun. Jun looks around and points to himself, "me?" "Yeah you," he chuckles and grab Jun''s arm and drags him across the park. "We have to leave soon so lets hurry up?" Feeling a little daze, Jun asks, "huh?" "Director Ji San asks you to come right? He said he would sent someone to escort us in the Fennik Forest." "Ji San?" Just as Jun was about to deny it, out of the corner of his eyes he saw his dad''s and sister''s subordinates. He hesitated to whether or not to deny it. The man took Jun''s hesitation as confirmation and before Jun knew he stood before a group of 4 loading up supplies to a giant rabbit. There were 2 guys and 2 girls. One guy looks to be around his age but slightly older with his hair slicked back and not as great looking. The other guy was an older looking gentlemen in his mid thirties. One of the girl seems to be in her late teens around 18, 19. As Jun eyes scans the four individual his sight lands on a familiar looking girl. His arms involuntarily raised up to yell but caught himself in the process. The man frowns in displeasure thinking this person Director Ji San sent was little unreliable. "Hey come on over here. Don''t be shy. Introduce yourself to the group" The familiar looking girl looks up and gasps in surprises. "You are?" "Hi I''m," Jun begins. "You look like that Xing," she cuts him off only to be cut off by Jun who was afraid of the people nearby hearing his name. "I''m Xing Lin!" Jun shouts out grabbing and shaking her hand. "Xing Lin?" she asks doubtfully. "Ehhh, Yes like star forest Xing Lin." "Are you sure its not we just newly met a couple hours ago Xing Lin?" "No I don''t think so. It is Star Forest Xing Lin." "I see,"she said nodding her hand. "But you really do look like..." Like a scared cat Jun''s adrenaline spikes up. "Hey you guys come over here and take a look," she shouts to her group. They all stopped what they were doing and came over. Jun felt a little uncomfortable especially with those guards looking for him. "Don''t you guys think he looks a lot like, Martial Dao, Pill Dao genius, unrivaled within 300 mile of Ziyou city." "Xing Jun!" They all shouts together. "Yeah, yeah, yeah see!" The nearby guards all heard this and stares over to them. They omni sense instantly flew over to check. Feeling a completely different aura and cultivation stage they thought to themselves that they got the wrong guy. "But you know his hairstyle is like this," she said while using her hand to slick back her hair. An older look gentleman in his mid thirties said, "I''ve actually met him before and his cultivation was a lot higher and his aura was more imposing, and cocking." "Oh! People usually mistakes me for him a lot," Jun explains. "But I''m here." He points near the ground, "and he is up here. The difference is too big. We are totally different people." Nodding her head she suddenly remembers something, "thats right. I bumped into him earlier today and thats why I was late. I accidentally nearly ran him over with Da Bao but stopped just in time but accidentally covered him in fire Lizard''s manure." Her group looks at her in astonishment, and at the same time scared for her. The late teen girl yells out, "what! You covered him in shit?" The guilty party nods her head up and down. "I heard he is a very petty person," the middle age man said worried. "Did he do anything to you?" They begin to eye her for injuries. "Of course he did!" Jun made a what are you talking about face. "He also covered me with that shit powder! Then we had too..." She paused realizing the implications if she continues. "Had to do what?" "Yeah what did you have to do?" They ask curiously. She thought back to the whole event seeing him naked. Her cheeks reddens and she smiles awkwardly, "its nothing." Then changes the subject. "Xing Lin sorry I haven''t introduce myself yet. I''m Xia Xintong, and this here is Xiao Hui." She points at the guy that looks to be in his early twenties standing next to the young lady that has a striking resemblance to him. "She is Xiao Mei, and this is San Ti." She points to the guy that dragged Jun here. "I''m Zhan Ziyu," the older gentlemen introduces him. Without them noticing Jun did a sweep of their cultivation. Zhan Ziyu pinnacle of the Master Realm. Xiao Hui, Xiao Mei, and San Ti were all at the first stage of Master Realm. Xia Xintong was at the fourth stage of the Martial Realm. Jun''s stomach fluttered when he glanced back and saw his sister''s eyes glaring around. "Nice to meet all of you. I''m Xing Lin. I hope you guys can take of me during this trip. Lets move out its getting pretty late." Without waiting to see if they would follow, he turned and marched in the opposite direction from his sister. Turning back, "Where are we going again?" Chapter 4: Fennik Forest "It''s that way," they all pointed, and was feeling pretty doubtful of his credentials. Wasn''t he suppose to be our guide? Why are we giving directions. "We are done packing so lets move out," Ziyu said. "Hui, Mei, and Ti summon your tamed beast and we can move out. Lin do you have a tame beast? If not you can ride with Xintong on Da Bao." "Okay." They were all professionals and were out in minutes. Fennik Forest wasn''t far but it wasn''t close either. It was a 1 to 2 hour ride on a tamed beast traveling around 700 miles an hour, but it wasn''t realistic at all to maintain that speed for an hour. thus they were traveling around 400 miles an hour and should arrive at the edge of the forest in 3 hours. 10 mins from their location the real guide was sitting their patiently waiting at the wrong location at the park. Feeling bored Jun decided. to strike up a conversation with Xintong. "Miss Xintong," Jun said trying to strike up a conversations. "Just call me Xintong is fine," she answers. "Oh okay. Xintong why do you guys need a guide for the Fennik forest?" "My company WL Pillshop isn''t doing so well and we decided to take on missions in order to keep the store afloat." "Oh. If doing missions keeps you afloat why not just do more missions and forget pills?" Jun asks in confusion. Xintong smiles self-depreciatedly, "if it wasn''t due to my selfishness it would be." "Well its not easy running a company. It seems you have some great people helping you," Jun said genuinely. He thought to himself there must be a deeper meaning to this. Otherwise who would keep a money sucking store like that alive. "Yes, they are awesome. I don''t know what I would do without them," she said beaming with pride. "How long ago did you start up?" Jun asks out of curiosity. "I feel like I heard of it before." "It was originally my brother''s company but he died 8 years ago. I just recently started it back up in the last couple of months." Jun felt like he got struck by a bolt of lightning. WL Pillshop? 8 years ago? This coincidence is too much isn''t it? "What is your brother''s name maybe I heard of him before." "Oh its Xia Wulong," Xintong said proudly. Jun''s breathing became deep like the weight of the world was pressing down on his chest. It can''t be. There''s no way his relatives are still alive. Dad said the massacre left no one alive. "So what are we going to be doing in Fennik Forest?" Jun said positively trying to change the topic. "Our task this time isn''t too hard but it is not easy either. We are tasked with finding the Starlight flower. It is located in this forest somewhere. We asked around and know the general location already." "What do you need me for? Brother Ziyu seems to be really strong. I don''t think I will be much help." "Oh its because there are many different kinds of beasts, and wild plants in there. Just to be safe we have decided to hire you as a guide. Which will reduce our risk. Finding the flowering isn''t our only goal. Since we are here we might as well earn as much as possible." "I see," Jun said finding it suspicious because starlight flower are not extremely rare and costs only 2 spirit stones in the market. "I''ll try my best then." "Oh I never asked what level is your cultivation?" Xintong asks. "Peak Nascent Realm," He lied. "Oh are you going to be alright?" She asks in a worried tone. "I''ll be fine. I come and go from this forest all the time." "Stay close with us then. Ziyu, Mei, Ti, and Hua are all really strong. They should be able to keep you safe." Jun found her wording a bit weird. Keep me safe? What about you? You''re the weakest out of your whole party. "Don''t worry I''ll be fine. I am here to guide you on a safe path otherwise I wouldn''t be doing my job," Jun said proudly as he pump fist his chest for confidence. Ugh can''t wait to get out of this disguise. I should win an actor''s reward for this. "Oh we are almost there!" She yells out excitedly. Once they arrived at the location each of them grabbed a backpack. San Ti glances at Jun, "Brother Lin where''s your backpack?" "Oh I don''t usually bring one. Usually a group prepares it for me." Jun lied. "Alright we are going to be here for the day so grab the spare that we made," Ziyu shouted. "Thanks!" Jun answers and grab the left over bag.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. "Alright! Brother Jun lead the way!" San Ti yells excitedly. "Sure," Jun responds. "Here are a couple rules through. We must stay together and don''t touch anything without asking me. Also do not attack the beasts in this forest unless they attack first. Otherwise you will attract the stronger beast to our location. If you are here to tame or haunt beast then I will not be able to help but if it is finding herbs, and ingredients I am your man. I know this place almost inside out." "Alright Boss Xintong said that you are here to find the starlight flower right?" "Yes," Mei answers. "How many do you need? Because you are only allowed to pick three." San Ti loudly said, "what do you mean only three? I heard they grow in a field. Why would we only pick three here?" "Simple," Jun answers nearly went back to his other personality. "Starlight Flowers absorbs not the sunlight but the light that bounces off of the moon. Due to that they are closed in the morning and can only be harvested at night but thats not the only reason why you can only pick three. It is due to the Moon Bat bees. They act like the guardians for these flowers. If you take too much then they will notice the difference in the flower bed and therefore chase you down. Since the Starlight flower is their food for the winter. You can honestly take up to ten or twelve without their notice but that is a risk. 3 is a perfectly safe number." "Okay we will listen to our guide," San Ti mutters. He was hoping to make some extra profit on the side. "Mr. Xing please lead the way," Ziyu said formally. Hui whispers to Mei, "how strong do you think he is?" "From the way he walks I would say he is at least Nascent realm." "Hey guys," Xintong said loudly among them, "Xing Lin''s cultivation is only at the Nascent realm so if anything happens please try to protect him." Xintong then looks at Jun apologetically because saying this out loud would cause any men to lose face. Jun didn''t care too much since it was a disguise anyway. "Please take care of me." Knowing that Xintong was Wulong''s sister Jun tried his best to keep them safe and out of danger. Even the slightest danger Jun would steer them along a different path. This was extremely exhausting as he has to constantly sent out a spirit wave to detect the a range of 100 meters. Not only that but hide it from Ziyu and those in the Master Realm. Not only that but his eyes were scanning each tree, bush, ground for any signs of demonic beasts. Due to this it took them four hours to reach their location. "Alright we are here," Jun said proudly pushing aside a bush to reveal a football field of Starlight flower. "Wow Brother Lin you are the best!" Xiao Mei exclaims in excitement. This was the first time Xiao Mei has seen so many Starlight flower in one area. The starlight flowers were like tennis balls balanced on top of a stem. Not only that but it''s light and dark purple contrast made it seem to glow in the sun. Combine with the caves and a sparkling lake and trees it was a sight to behold. "Lets set up camp 100 meters away. Once it reaches the right time we will harvest it," Jun proposed. Everyone nodded in agreement. San Ti looks at the field with greed in his eyes. In the current market each flower can go for 2 spirit stones. With a football field size of these flowers there must be at least 1000 of these flowers. Thats 2000 spirit stones. He felt bitter because of Jun''s warning. When they set up camp Jun asked them, "do you know why they want you to get starlight flower? You can easily buy it in the market for 2 spirit stones." "Its because its not the starlight flower they want but the King Star Flower they ask for," Hui answers before Xintong, or Ziyu could answer. "You want the King Star Flower?" Jun asks thinking he misheard as he frowned. "Yes those go for 4000 spirit stone base price in the market." Jun almost blurted out are you guys fucking retarded. Bloody fucking hell are you trying to get yourself killed. Jun''s face darkens and asks, "how much are they paying you guys?" They all looked at each other like they were trying plotting among themselves. Ziyu answers, "Truth to be told, they are paying 7000 spirit stones." "Did you consider the danger before taking this mission?" Jun asks in a serious tone. "Yes," Xintong answered with a confused look. "Thats why we asked for a guide and they sent you. Did they not tell you what we were looking for?" Feeling like he couldn''t keep up this act Jun looks at them with the utmost seriousness. "I am not your guide." That was what he wanted to say but instead, he sighs, "alright I''ll help you get it but just know, this is an extremely dangerous task and is not worth your life. The reason the market value to 4000 spirit stones is because usually a King''s realm cultivator would be with them to fend them off, otherwise if you take the King Star Flower the army of Moon bat bees will chase you to the end of the earth. There is no hiding unless you kill them all. Not only that but the Moon Bat Bee''s Mother would awake as well. While the moon bats cultivation is only at he Nascent Realm their stinger has poison potent enough to kill even a King Realm cultivator." Thinking back to the time he tried to steal a King Star Flower from the Moon Bat Bees Jun can''t help but shudder. The moment he stone it an army that was able to block out the moon and sun chased after him. If not for Bu Fan his butler he would be dead by now. Also the only reason he did not tell them that he was not their guide was because of Xintong. She was Wulong''s sister and know Wulong being a stubborn individual he felt like she was too. From there he mentally deduces that if he tells him he was not their guide then she would tell him to go back and for them to handle the rest. If that was the case then they are very likely to die. "Okay listen and listen carefully. There is only one way for us to survive this if you are all hellbent on do this. We need these potions and pills." Jun said. "We need aposaictd potion, enhancement pills, and body changing pills." "We have the aposaictd pill but not the other two," Xintong said. "But I am a rank two alchemist so I can make these. We are just missing a few ingredients." Jun nods his head. "What are we missing? I can go get them." "For the enhancement pills I need dew water, and the blood of feline beast. For the body changing pills I need the blood of a spike chameleon." "Do you know where to get these items?" San Ti asks. "I do but its going to be dangerous," Jun said solemnly. "Does anyone have a map?" "I do," Mei answers taking out a map from her bag. "We are going to have to split up. I will go get the spike chameleon blood while Brother Ziyu and Brother Ti should go for the dew water and the blood of a feline beast. Xiao Mei, and Xiao Hui stay here and guard Xintong." Jun points at the two locations for the ingredients. "The feline blood will be from the stripe panther. And the dew water is from the Wood Pine tree. You should get the dew water then the stripe panther. They are agile but if you find those in the martial realm they would be easy to handle without killing. Just because if they scream reinforcements will come!" "Try to be back in 2 hours and be-careful because it will be hard to avoid the beast in the forest." Xiao Mei had an astonish expression on her face because she felt like the Xing Lin in front of her did a 180 in character transformation. Wasn''t he meek and shy before? Where did this dominating aura come from? "So we should move out as soon as possible and be back in 1 hour or else Xintong might not be able to refine it in time," Jun said getting back into character. "Alright lets move out now then," Ziyu commands. "Be careful you guys." Xintong said. She wasn''t being idle either and commands Mei and Hui to begin setting a protection formation around them to prevent beast from seeing and hearing them. As Jun ran off he sighs to himself. Even with these precautions it is not 100% guaranteed to work. Chapter 5: Oops Jun run through the forest like it was the back of his head and would constantly sent out his Master Realm Pinnacle qi to dissuade the beast from approaching. For others it might be hard to find the spike chameleons since they can camouflage into their surroundings but for Jun is was quite simple because he cultivated the Heaven and Earth eyes. This was a eye technique his mother left for him. Furthermore it was only two years ago when he was able to truly activate it thanks to the Samadhi Fire Pill that he made from scratch using his mother''s note. In 30 to 45 minutes Jun was already back with the blood of the spike chameleon. He also hid his cultivation again. "I''m back guys," he said happily. "Wow you''re back so fast!" Mei exclaims. "I come to fennik forest a lot," Jun explains. "I use to come with my father a lot." "Oh," Mei said. Jun glances over and saw that Xintong was fully concentrated in making a pill. Her movements were graceful and precise almost like a machine performing the task. "Whats she making?" Jun asks. Mei shrugs her shoulder. "She''s making a poison protection pill," Hui explains while munching on some beans, and berries. "Oh, well I brought the spike chameleon blood." Jun whispers. "Is brother Ziyu and Ti not back yet?" "No not yet," Mei answers. "Their cultivation is pretty high so they should be back pretty soon." Since there was nothing more he could do Jun chose to watch the cave where the Moon Bat bees were sleeping at. His mind was making calculations for escape. There were four areas where he could technically escape too for protection. The King Black Bear territory to the south. The King Stripe Wolf territory to the east. The Ant hive to the north but Jun thought to himself he rather not go into another bug territory. Last the King Voilet Sparrow in the west. Another 20 to 30 minutes passed by before the San Ti, and Ziyu came back. There were bruises, and dirty all over San Ti. Ziyu''s clothes were all scratched up with scars in some area. "What happened?" Jun asks. They should be able to handle a striped panther easily. San Ti with an ugly expression on his face said, "yeah it was easy till the whole pack showed up. There were at least 20 of them with three at the Master Realm level." When Xintong finish making the pills and looked up she saw the bruises and San Ti and Ziyu and instantly became worried. "Ziyu, San Ti eat these pills. They should help you with the injuries," Xintong said as she rampaged through her bags for the pills. They both took the pills and their skin wounds began to heal at a visible pace. "Luckily our brother Ziyu here manage to kill their leader scaring the rest to run away," San Ti smirks proudly. Mei rolls her eyes, "its not like you were the one that killed him. Why are you smiling so annoyingly for." San Ti chuckles, "I San Ti regard brother Ziyu here like my real brother. Of course I would regard his accomplishment as my own." "Shameless," Mei whispers under her breath. "Alright enough arguing. Xintong can you make the pills in time?" Ziyu asks. "Yes, but I''m gonna need an assistant," she said looking around. Everyone looks at each other since none of them ever touched alchemy before. Jun raises his hadn''t shyly and said, "I have a bit of experience if it helps." "Thats great!" Xintong nearly shouted. "As long as you can help me control the flames we should be able to finish within the time limit." Jun gave a mysterious smile because a rank 2 alchemist just became an assistant to some unknown and possible unranked alchemist. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. When Xintong started making the body changing pill Jun noticed that she threw in all the ingredient in the cauldron from the beginning. She saw Jun''s staring at the cauldron and thought he was confused of her unorthodox way of making pills. "Oh this process was taught to me by my brother. It reduced the time need to make a pill but requires higher perception and timing." She explains. "Oh thats awesome! I usually only see the mainstream method. You must be a genius to be able to do this," Jun said pretending to be excited. She blushes but randily accept the compliment, "I''m alright. My brother was the genius. You just need to help me control and maintain the flame." "Okay!" As they work together to make the pill Jun would sometimes help and fix part of the process without her notice. When they finish Xintong couldn''t help but compliment, "wow Jun your flame control is fantastic!" "It is your guidance." "No not many people can control flames like you do. It was almost like you were reading my mind." "Get a room you two," Hui laughs. "We should get back on task." Mei smacks Hui on the head, "stop messing with out boss." "Sorry," Hui apologizes. "Lets eat the body changing pill now and release the aposaictd potion now. We can eat the enhancement pill later once we start to move so the effects last longer," Jun explains. Sounds reasonable they thought to themselves. "Okay. Xing Lin, Hui, San Ti and I will go get the flower. Mei will protect Xintong. Xintong release the potion as a mist into the cave whenever you''re ready." "Alright," Xintong said. She summoned a blue flame that was strikingly similar to Jun''s. Then from her backpack she brought out a gallon worth of aposaictd potion. "Leave a cup size incase it doesn''t reach all the bats," Jun advises. She nods her head. "I''ll be right back," Jun whispers to them and sneaks off like a ninja. After 10 minutes there was only a cup of the potion left. Jun was also back by then. "Alright lets go!" Ziyu whispers and motions. "Xing Lin lead the way." Jun nods to show he heard his order. Jun pushes the bush aside and moved into the cave. Unlike the common the starflower the King Starflower lives inside the cave. It is also being cultivated and taken care of by the Moon Bat Bee''s queen. Without anyone''s notice Jun activates his Heaven and Earth Eyes to check whether the bats are asleep or awake. There was also 10 more minutes before the moonlight comes out. Usually, and that means 99% of the time the King Starflower is kept at an area where moonlight could easily reach it and be magnified. When Jun sneaked off earlier it was to check where the hole was at. The cave was dark and musky. There were many tunnels like a giant maze. Luckily Ziyu was totally prepared for this cave''s navigation. He brought out two bottles of water and pours it onto the floor. Then he sat down and closes his eyes. The water became alive like living snakes. It broke off into 100 to 300 little water snakes and slithers away. In a minute Ziyu had a layout of the map. "Follow me," Ziyu said as he led them to the right chamber in the cave. Jun was always bad with directions and due to that he places a soul marker near the hold on the top of the cave. This way he always have a North Star he could follow without worry. When they reach the end of a tunnel they came upon a magnificent chamber that awed them into silence. It was 10000 feet deep chamber with ceiling 1000 feet into the air. Not only that but what looks to be like a million Moon Bat bees were sleeping upside down in the chamber. they looked like earth bats on steroids. Their claws looked sharper than the sharpest Japanese sushi knife. Their wings had a bee like stripe pattern. The only comical part about them is that there was a stinger about 6 inches long coming from their tail bone. Their body size were about 18 inches and Jun can imagine how big their wing span was gonna be. After all that they saw a hole that was a 12 by 12 across the ravine 400 feet away and about 50 to 100 feet higher from their height. For these bats that was an easy area to each but for humans that could not fly it was a nightmare. Luckily these thousands of bats were drugged by Xintong''s mist potion to be in deep deep slumber. Because of the required stealth of this mission Jun could not just run around the side of the cave too it or jump across the ravine. Ziyu sat down onto the floor and from his bag he brought out 100 gallon cube of water. Wow he had a inter spacial bag this whole entire time? Jun thought. Wonder why he didn''t say anything. We wouldn''t need to make the body changing pills if I knew about it. Since if I put the flower into the bag then the bats cannot track it at all. They would only be able to smell the person that touched that flower. The water seems to have its'' own consciousness and flew out to make a rope across the ravine. Then he water rope turned into ice. Getting the idea Jun quickly ran across it reaching the other side of the cave. After a couple more twist and turns they found the honey cave where the storage of honey was. If you can imagine an olympic pool filled with honey gleaming sparkling in the dark like the start sky then that is what they are looking at right now. San Ti was about to go get some honey when Jun stops him and told him to keep going. Right now was not the time to deviate from the plan. Jun decided to mark the area incase he ever comes back or craves raw honey. After a few more twist and turns they finally arrived at the Queen''s chamber. When they peeked inside they saw a seven feet size earth bat on steroids inside chamber. They all shuddered at the sight. San Ti quickly took out his potion and heat it up. Then send the mist into to drug the bats in there. Just incase the dose was enough Hui also did the same. Jun made sure that the drugged worked with his Heaven and Earth eyes before sneaking inside. Like a master alchemist his hand movements were flawless as he began to remove the King Starflower from the ground. After removing and incasing it inside a special box Jun hands it to Ziyu to put in his bag. All of a sudden from out of the chamber Jun, and Jiyu heard. Bupe bupe bupe bupe!<-(Just a large fart sound that I don''t know how to spell -_-") "Oops." Chapter 6: Unfuckingbelievable! The fart ripped through the passage ways like the fourth of July. Jun saw that the Queen''s metabolism sped up and was burning through it like fire on oil. "Through the hole in the ceiling!" Jun, and Ziyu shouts. Ziyu quickly stuffs the box into his spacial bag. Then grabs Jun and toss him into through the hole exposing in the air. The reason they didn''t come down from this hole was because doing so would change the air current of the cave and these bats were extremely sensitive to both sound and air movement. Now that it is waking up the whole sneakiness of the situation doesn''t matter anymore. Once Jun pops out of the hole he threw down a rope. Ziyu, Ti, and Hui all three of them grabbed it and jumped into the air. Combined with Jun''s pull they were out in a second. They ran to meet up with the girls. Seeing them run away with such anxiety they began to feel anxious too. "What happen? Are you guys okay?" Xintong asks. "Run, we gotta run," Ziyu said gravely. "Leave whatever you can here and run!" "Give me the rest of the aposaictd potion," Jun commanded in a worry tone. "What are you going to do with it?" Xintong asks while obediently handing it over. "You guys run, I''m gonna hold them off as long as I can," Jun said. "You''re gonna die," Ziyu said directly. "I''ll help you. I''m the strongest one here." Jun flat out refuses. "You guys run and this would count as me having complete my job. I might be weaker that you." Jun said still pulling the charade. "But I know this forest inside out and can move around a lot quicker than with you. Furthermore the flower''s smell is on me so if I come with you I will only bringing you to your death with me." "We hired you to guide not," Xintong tried to say but Jun cuts her off. Jun looks her directly in the eye, "trust me I will not die that easily." Then looks around and said, "You guys go any longer and you would be a nuisance." "Alright if you survive this then after this even through we are not blood related you will be my brother for life!" San Ti said with conviction and bows. "Same here!" Ziyu said resolutely. "As with me! It is all my fault to begin with!" Hui said. "No arguments here!" Mei said nodding her head. Xintong was still pretty stun but then snaps out of it. "Take this! It can protect you from any attack for 1 minute under the Heaven''s realm!" She said throwing an green amulet into Jun''s hand. Knowing she will worry even more if he doesn''t accept Jun decided to take it because it is one extra life saving treasure. "Thank you." Ziyu ushers them to go and they began to run out of the forest. Jun parted ways with them. "Please be safe," Xintong whispers under her breathe as she ran away with the others. Jun sprinted through the forest heading toward the King Black Bear''s territory in the south because the Black Bears were somehow able to steal honey from the Moon Bat Bees safely multiple times. It is only when the Queen shows up that they are at risk of dying. After running away Jun releases the cultivation seal on him as his Master realm pinnacle qi gushes out. Then a pure black sword appears in his hand. The blade feet long with a 10 inch handle. There was no hilt or guards at all. Jun''s eyes became silver with a hint with a black pupil. A mix of blue, orange and red qi seeping out of his pores. Eventually a dense shroud of bubble like qi covered his body and sword. Swoosh! The qi became like the back of a porcupine except it was moving up, down, shrinking and expending. At first glance it looks like the qi was just spiking up and down but once you get closer you can see the movements to be circular and sharp like the swing of a sword in close quarter.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. These bats were in the martial realms but their teeth and claws could easily rip through a King realm cultivator. Jun was in at Stage three of the Heaven and Earth technique. One with qi and weapon. Instead of waiting for his death Jun sprints forward into the swarm of bats that could block out the sun. While the teeth, and claws of the moon bats were powerful Jun could kill them with just the qi surrounding his body. Jun did not depend on his shroud of qi to kill instead he used the sword to kill which was even faster. While the qi killed whoever passed his sword. Swoosh! Swish! Rip! Boom! Moon bat bee after moon bat bee were being slaughtered like chicken. They couldn''t even resist but one or two would still get pass his defense because it was like fighting an army of ants. Even if you kill 100 another 100 would take its'' place. In a span of a minute Jun has killed over 150 moon bat bee. By 5 the five minute mark more than 800 were dead. In a five minute span of time Jun has exhausted half of his qi. At that quick sec he decided to run again. As he ran he popped a qi recovery pill. When his qi was back to 90 percent Jun engage back into combat. This time Jun couldn''t help but frown because it seems they were using a very crude version of a formation. While it is beatable the difficulty increased slightly. I am so fucked! He thought to himself. He ran again. He then pulls out his cellphone that had over 400 missed calls and texts. His eyes shifts to the signal bar. Zero bars! Think! Think! Think! Jun yelled mentally to himself. Bats are extremely sensitive to sound but they evolved in the last 1000 years to adapt to filter out loud sounds. Their stingers are similar to a bee and they will die once it is used, but I am not trying to become swish cheese. Wait, Jun thought to himself. What if I use sound to confuse them? If I can tune into the sound waves they use and then use that sound wave to hide myself I don''t believe they can find me. Actually that might not work since they are somehow able to differentiate among themselves. But then again once the sound is loud enough it can overpower theirs. It is the only choice I got Jun sighs. Jun focuses his qi to his ear and began tuning it until he heard a certain frequency. Found it! The qi in his hand began to change colors until it was light blue. He then rubs his hand together and uses his qi to amplify the sound. With a glance he saw that the bats looked lost. Their heads were looking around in confusion. Haha suckers, Jun snickers to himself then continues to self praise himself while running away. I''m so smart, no wonder people call you a genius. Not even getting 100 yards alway when he noticed that he was being chased again. "What the bloody ******* **** *** ***** ******* **** ****" Jun swore into the sky. "Giving me a ******* break!" What happened was the bats were not completely stupid and decided to change their sound frequency and block out the other frequency. Because of that each bat is emitting a unique frequency simultaneously. This made his plan useless. After running and fight for an hour his mental mind was beginning to get tired. Not only that but Jun can feel his dantian cracking. This was the side effect of taking 20 qi recovering pill in last than an hour. Each time he takes the pill to recover qi a little bit of impurity is lifted behind. If this was his specially made pills than his Dantian would have shattered already because other alchemist are not as careful when refining these. It was at that moment that Jun finally reached the black bear territory. A smirk appeared on his face and Jun ran up to one of the bears and smeared a handful of honey onto a black bear. Every time he sees one he would smear it with honey. Back at the cave Jun had a feeling that this was going to happen and when he placed down his soul marker he also gathered a cup of honey just incase. He did it fast enough where everyone didn''t notice at all. Once the honey was smeared Jun continues to run pass the bears and headed deeper into the territory. Strangely enough the Moon Bat Bees never attacked the bears. They just continue to chase after Jun. Except now there are some black bears chasing after him now too. "Unfuckingbelievable," Jun swore in disbelief. Is this some kind of bad dream? Jun thought to himself. There''s no way that a group of black bears would be on the same side as those bat bees when they steal honey from them all the time. After running as fast and as far as he could Jun finally reach a very clique scenario in all books and films. It is a cliff. "Oh my God!" Jun shouts. "Can this day get any worse!" Boom! Lightning flashes across the sky. Jun thought to himself I can either jump this 2000 feet high cliff and hopefully land in water and survive or fight it out with them. They usually say people make insane break throughs in their cultivation during dangerous times, Jun tries to console himself. Maybe I might be one of those. Considering I''m at the pinnacle of my realm, and I would like to consider myself a genius in pill and cultivation. After pep talking himself up for a couple seconds an orange shroud of fire bursted out from his pores. It created 4 extra arms with a weapon in their hands. "If I go down I''ll take as many of you ****** as possible!" Jun ran into the crowd of bears and bat bees.Chapt Chapter 7: Price Of Despair With six and six different swords in his hand Jun was no different from a mini war god right now. The shroud of fire was kept one inch thick around his body while the rest of the first was being used as arms for fighting. The bat bee''s cultivation was not that high so it was easy slaughtering them but the issue came in their claws and teeth. As for the bears while their cultivation is only in the Martial realm their defense were terrifying for their level of cultivation. Jun could only cut skin deep. Right now with the help of the heaven and earth qi covering each of Jun''s swords he could easily kill a Master realm cultivator. To only cause skin deep wounds Jun surprised but not scared. While the bat bees numbered in the one hundred thousands there were only about twenty to thirty of these bears. After finding that he couldn''t penetrate the skin Jun became ruthless and just thrust the sword through the eyes and mouth. Once the sword reaches inside he would sent out a burst of qi to destroy the inner organs. One minute passed. Two minutes passed. His qi was dropping fast. Three minutes. Right now it was like he was running a marathon. His pace was slightly faster than a jog but slower than a full out sprint. Whenever his qi fell to about the 30% level he would pop a qi recovery pill. His breathing become deeper and deeper but his mind was becoming sharper. As his muscles began to imprint certain movements to reduce the strain of qi on those arms. Jun was programming certain movements into those heaven and earth qi arms of his. This greatly reduced the mental burden on him. Jun wanted to run so bad but he knew he can not. It would waste time. He would rather fight a king''s realm expert right now than these hundred thousand bat bees. It is because fighting a King''s realm cultivator he could use higher level martial techniques that does significantly more damage. It was less exhausting on his soul and body. Fighting these bats on the other hand was more endurance, precision, and calculation because it is not that he can''t slaughter them all it is just exhausting, and his qi and mental mind cannot last that long. I have 25 fire lightning bombs in inter spacial ring, Jun thought to himself. If I space it out to every 5 minutes it should give me a longer time of survival. An hour later which felt like eternity to Jun he was almost out of qi pills. His dantian was on the verge of collapsing due to the impurities. In order to last this long he even had to refine the impurities in his body with the ice flame. It''s real name is the star freezing fire which was a mouth full. He was running out of the Fire thunder bombs too. Even through he planned 1 every five minutes it he would occasional throw in an extra to help relief the attacks from these bat bees. This alleviate some stress but not enough. Since he couldn''t do a full refinement and only a bit here and there like putting an ice pack on the wound. "Hahaha!" Jun laughs in despair. This was the first time he felt such helplessness. No matter what he did before subconsciously he always knew his father, and butler Bu Fang would save him. Right now he knew no one can. There was not going to be some miracle like those protagonist in movies and novels. He was not going to be able to be able to break through to the king''s realm. Bu Fang is not going to swoop down and save him because he doesn''t even know where he is. Some random stranger is not going to come by and miraculously save him either. All he could do was fight to the bitter end and hope for some kind of miracle. Over 16,000 Moon Bat bees have been killed by him but there still seems to be one hundred thousand left. His muscles were like lead weighting him down. The enhancement pill''s effect were running out too. From his inter spacial ring Jun pills out three more pills. It was body healing pill, soul healing pill, and dragon might pill. He popped it in without hesitation. "Hahaha," Jun sneers as he saw a giant blob in the sky that literally blocked out the sun. From his ring eight fire lightning bombs appeared between his finger tips. With a swing of my of his qi arms a wave of blade thin crescent moon like wave flew at the blob. Followed behind it were eight fire lightning bombs.Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. KABOOM!!! SWOOSH! A mile wide explosion erupted in mid air. Hahaha this should take out 50,000 of you f*ck*rs Jun said mockingly. His muscles were dead tired like he has been awake for 48 hours. Mind was exhausted too. The only thing keeping him going was adrenaline. Boom! The shock wave from the explosion knocked him flying 100 meters across the ground. The qi arms disappeared. The qi protecting his body also shattered. SCREEEECH! Jun heard. Then followed by a BOOM! Jun strenuously got up and looked at the direction of the boom. Ayyesh! Jun cursed mentally. He quickly popped another qi recovering pill and could feel his dantian crack further. In front of him stood a seven feet earth bat on steroids. It had yellow stripes around its'' body with beady red eyes. Its'' teeth about 6 inches and 3 inch long claws. Then Jun noticed that the bat''s body was different. The fur on its'' skin were like knives. It broke through to the King''s Realm? Jun gasped. Jun felt like he was gonna break down mentally. Killed over 66000 bat bees and still there''s 100,000 more and not only that but the queen shows up after a break through. He tried to pit the bears against them but they turn out to be friends, or allies. For a horrible moment, he wondered if the heavens were working against him and if he should just kill himself to end this suffering. His muscles were aching and his dantian was about to shatter into a million pieces. To cultivate is to go against the heaven! He mentally roars! "Blacky it is just you and me now," Jun whispers grasping the warm handle of the pure black sword. Another fire lightning bomb appears in his left hand as he whips it at the queen. Then his body sprints to the right. This move was to test the Queen Bat bee. The queen whacks the bomb away, but on the moment of contact it exploded! It was at that moment that Jun''s Heaven and Earth eyes saw something amazing. The fur on the queen moved on its own to pierce right through the bomb making the explosion less potent. Jun only has 1 bomb left and it was the only thing he has right now that could possibly kill it. Luckily the bat bee minions have retreated and it was a one on one fight. Jun moves into a close quarter combat with it as he slices the queen''s neck. At the end of the blade Jun has covered it with the Star freezing flame. Before the blade reached the queen''s neck she disappeared reappeared next to him but this time it''s claw flashes at Jun''s stomach. Boom! Jun felt like he was hit by a truck but also felt lucky too because if not for Xintong''s green amulet that move would have ripped through his stomach like a hot knife through butter. Jun could feel the necklace''s energy dim a little. THUMP! Boom! The queen tackled her body into Jun''s before he even notices. A thick wave of vibration ranged through his body. His body crashed into the side of some cave leaving a 5 feet deep hole. The green amulet shattered into pieces. It is faster than me. My eyes can barely keep up with it. Her body is tougher than mine. Jun assesses. There is only one way that I can possible survive this. Luckily she chose to fight instead of keep hiding. The only reason she chose to fight is because I killed too many of those bat that it would effect their future fighting power. Jun did not want to do it but he has too. If it was against the army of bat bees he would not since it would be useless but against this queen he has no other choice. Hiding and running were not an option anymore. Swoosh! Swish! This time blue flames were covering his skin like a mother holding her child as Jun closes his eyes to concentrate. A corresponding seal appear in the air. It was the Chinese word for Power. This seal then flew into his body wrapping it around his dantian. His dantian began to condense and become smaller but his cultivation broke through to the King''s realm and kept on increasing. Eventually is stopped at the first stage of the Heaven''s realm. Jun could feel his body coursing with absolute power. The world seems to listen to his command. He could feel the multiple daos in the air. To break through from Master to King''s realm Jun had to have mastered a Dao but due to his arrogance he tried to learn multiple daos. They were lightning, fire, and earth. His mastery over them were all at the pinnacle but they were all missing that one step for him to break through. Now that he was in the Heaven''s realm he could sense what he was missing and could only bitterly laugh at himself because if only he learn this during the battle then he could have easily broke through and fight this queen. Instead he chose to pay a price worse than death to survive. The despair before could be said to be just loneness, scared, hopeless, and even helpless but this one was raw despair. To know that it was easily do able but only to find out when you have paid a price that could never be taken back. It was like being deep in love with another person but never having the courage to just say hi. Only to meet up years later at your wedding, after you have taken your oath with another person that you don''t truly love and have him or her tell you that he or she use to love you too but was too shy to say it. At that very moment you saw that there was absolutely no hope of you two ever being together ever again. To see the rest of your life full of regrets. To think that by just saying hi your whole life could have taken an absolutely different course. Chapter 8: Mortal While wallowing in despair Jun thought to himself that this life was given to him by Xintong''s brother it was only right to return it. Maybe this is karma. His mind quickly comprehended the Dao of lightning, fire, and earth. It took him less than 10 seconds to comprehend it all. After comprehending it his despair turned to bitter regret. He waved his hand and the rocks around him condensed into a thousand fist size rocks. Each one weights about 500 pounds. Then he waved his hand again and there were mini explosion behind each of the fist size rocks. Thousands of booms echoed across the sky and those rocks were like giant bullets whizzing through the air. In a second over fifty thousand bat bees were killed. This was the difference between a heavens realm cultivator and Master Realm cultivator. With his new knew found understanding of the Dao of lightning and fire he only needed to raise his hand point at the queen. Then a rapid fire of fire balls flew out at it. The queen tries to dodge but each ball seems to be able to predict its'' direction. After being hit six to ten times the queen felt like her body was on fire. There were third degree burn marks all over her. Jun could have easily kill her at this point but decided to toy around with her because he won''t have this power for long and he is trying to comprehend the fire, lightning, and earth daos to the best of his abilities. The queen bat tried to launch a sonic air wave attack but Jun just slashed at it with black. Far away the tip of the mountain exploded. Real lightning surges out everywhere killing the bat bees that were still in the air. The lightning were like snakes jumping from one to the other. "SCREECH!" the bat bee queen screams for them to retreat. After two minutes Jun started to feel his dantian cracking apart again and he can''t leave killing this queen to chances. Feeling Jun''s killing intent the queen tried her best to run away. Jun''s body instantly appears before the queen. His hand reaches out to grab her by the neck. The bat queen''s mouth quivered. A surge of lightning courses through from his body to the queens. This reduced her to nothing but ashes. Jun was not going to chase after the rest because it is pointless and they were the invaders to begin with. Even he would chase after people who steals his belongings. Sitting down on the ground Jun tries to comprehend as much of the three element''s Dao. His Dantian began to crumble like the melting glaciers. His body strength began to deteriorate. His lush black hair turning silvery white. In his last moments he brought out the star freezing flames and sells it inside a scroll which he then stores inside his inter spacial ring. Whoosh. His dantian was destroyed. His meridian points cracked apart. His body strength was that of a teenager. He was now a mortal. His white hair flowing in the wind. Even blacky''s blade cracked apart. Jun''s mouth quivered. His eyes moist. He was near tears. Ten years of hard work just disappeared a blink of an eye. Tears stroll down his eyes as he tried to hold as much back. He rose from the ground and stood tall. Like a warrior coming back from war he walked toward the direction of the city. He was now a useless piece of trash in this society. A genius that appears only once in a thousand was snuffed out like the flames on a candle. "On the bright side my soul is still comparable to a Master realm cultivator," Jun chuckles looking at the bright side of things. This was just a weak way of consoling himself.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. Should I go back and tell my dad? He is going to be so disappointed. Maybe I should just run away and sent him a letter. Better than having him know I lost all my cultivation because of a girl. All of this ran through Jun''s head as he was walking out of the forest. Foosh! Jun saw that it was Bu Fan who landed from the sky. "Young Master! What happen?" He shouted anxiously. Bu Fan could not feel a single strand of qi in his young master''s body. "Your hair is wait." Jun gave a sad smile. "You used that forbidden technique?" Jun nods his head in shame. Bu Fan was shook. He grabbed Jun''s shoulders. Jun could feel Bu Fan''s body tremble. There was a mix of sadness, anger, frustration and a whole lot of guilt. Bu Fan drops down to his needs crying. "I have failed you! I''m so sorry!" Tears raining down his eyes. Jun puts his hand on Bu Fan''s shoulder then confidently looks him in the eyes, "Bu Fan this is not your fault. I made the decisions without telling you. I might be trash now but I''ll make a comeback." "Its all my fault. I should have secretly followed you. It was because I got lazy in my old age. I thought no one in the city could threaten your life." "Stand up. I''m still alive aren''t I?" Jun said with a big bright smile. "Lets go home. I''m a bit tired. When you get back don''t say anything. I would like to tell father myself." It was all he could manage as he tried to put up a tough front for Bu Fan. "Yes young master. When we get back I''ll never leave your side again." Bu Fan carried Jun''s body like a princess then leaps into the sky. Laying across the land were over 100,000 thousand Nascent beast cores. On the spot that Jun killed the Queen Bat bee laid a charred King''s realm beast core. When Jun arrived at home he learned that his father was at a business meeting and won''t be back for another couple of days. Jun let out a breath of relief as it meant he could waiting on telling him the news. His sisters gave up searching for him and were home training. He snuck pass them and into his room. Locking his door Jun jumps onto his comfortable bed. The soft mattress instantly put him to sleep. He woke up 10 hours later and it was already morning. Jun already miss the feeling of being a cultivator. Having to restart is not really a big issue but having every single meridian point in his body destroyed was. The dantian can be rebuilt and cultivated again overtime but the meridian cannot be fixed. It was granted by the heaven but many doctors, and higher cultivators have tried fixing a broken meridian and failed. Damaged or injured was still healable but destroyed was not. Jun sat on his bed in a buddha like pose. Eyes tightly shut. He then tried the Heaven and Earth Cultivator technique to try and absorb qi. "AH!" Jun screams agony. His body feel like he was pierced by thousands of knives just now. Sweat appear all over his back as he collapse onto the bed. He continued to feel the pain except instead of knives it was like his whole body was on fire. Groaning and enduring the pain it finally calmed down after a minute. Feeling the sweat all over his body he went to take a shower. Since he was on vacation he might as well go out and get something to eat. Also he wants to go to a weapons smith to see if he could get his sword fixed. Donning on a simple disguise and throwing blacky into his backpack he went out. Not wanting to cause a disturbance Jun told Bu Fan where he was going and called Rides from his phone. A car came a couple minutes later. "Where would you like to go boss?" the young adult in the drivers seat asks. "Bring me to downtown of Ziyou City." "Yes, boss!" Staring out the window Jun couldn''t help but feel how much the city changed in the last 10 years. Ever since the invention of internet and the computer in the last 20 to 30 years the city was completely transformed and even now it was changing. The concept of electricity was around since humans starting cultivating. It wasn''t until recently that they beginning applying the Daos of lightning into making weapons. Due to that John Tesla invented the first computer was puppet master, or construct master. He was the first to introduce electricity into a puppet not for attack power but rather as a source o energy for movement. After that with his amazing mind in the Daos of Construct made a computer. Then teaching that concept to his students he began to slowly but surely combine qi and electric together to make the first robot. Furthermore due to the introduction of microchips and computers many other technological advances appeared. Especially since those who are in the Master Realm and King''s Realm who has to further study their daos to improve. It also helps that those who reach a soul depth of 20 would gain the ability of photographic. Of course there are also people with photographic memories without reaching a soul depth of 20. Even for Jun who cultivated his soul he has only reach 16.3. As for other people other people his age they are only around 5 to 6. It is only in the Heaven''s Realm would soul training become easier. "Take me to Blacksmith Bai Yun''s place," Jun said to the driver as they were reaching the city. "Sure boss." Chapter 9: Your Guide Is Right Here! In a 10 minutes they arrive in front of a lushly decorated store. There were flowers around the entrance and the glass door made it seem like he was at a flower shop. When Jun got out he quietly enters the store. Blacksmith Bai Yun instantly caught his attention. He was a four feet tall dwarf with a raggedy beard and rough skin. Blacksmith Bai Yun was actually talking to another customer who wore a royal blue checker pattern suit. "You hear Xing Tian that gangster is trying to get a license to start up a hotel in the Ziwa district. Laughable!" the royal blue checker pattern suit guy said. "Why does it matter?" the Blacksmith asks. "You haven''t heard?" the other guy asks in surprise. "About what?" "Rumors say that he slaughtered a whole entire city with his White Dragon gang back in the day." Blacksmith Yun''s eyes-brows shot up in surprise. "How is that even possible? The government would never leave him alive if that was the case." "The government was useless. My grandfather was one of the people he killed that day. Many of us tried to pressure the government but they won''t budge." "Even so how could he possible be that strong. The last time I saw him was when he came in here to get me to specially forge a sword for his adorable little boy Jun. He was only at the mid King''s realm stage." Another customer then chimes in. "I heard he was possessed by a demon." "You guys are full of shit," the blacksmith laughs. "Che! You live under a rock. What do you know. Don''t you think its weird that his son somehow controls the majority of the pill market?" "His pills are good. It''s effects are much better than the market''s," Bai Yun praises. "Doesn''t matter look at Black Water City. The McKenzie a noble family there only controls 30 percent of the market and their pills are clearly 20 percent better than the overall market and yet they only control 30%," the stranger said in anger. "Hahaha you do also realize they also sell it for more. Not many people can afford it. Just the fact they control 30% of the market is already a blessing." "I''m telling you he definitely used some back channel to help his son." Suddenly one of the attendants noticed Jun and went up to greet him. "Hi sir how can I help you?" the beautiful lady asks. "I''m just looking." Jun replies waiting for Blacksmith Bai Yun to finish his conversation. "Hey young man you know about Xin Tian that gangster?" the guy in suit asks. "Not really sir," Jun answers but inwardly he rolled his eyes and commented if I don''t know him who would? "Well just know this. That bastard slaughtered a whole city and got away with it." "Were you there sir?" Jun asks. "Eh no." "Then how do you know if you were not there? Also how could the government not arrest someone who slaughtered a whole city? So sir I think you might just dislike him and bias to any negative news towards him." Jun retorted. "So you''re saying that the Dragon Guard''s info are not trustworthy?" the suited man scoffed. "Even if it is. They were not there and neither were you. So you have no idea what happened. There are more to a story than one side," Jun argued back as his voice became louder. Over the years Jun has heard this over and over from people in the upper echelon. That his father is murderer, a psychopath, and evil. Except the father he knew was caring, loving, and wouldn''t hurt a fly unless it threatens his family. Blacksmith Bai Yun saw the suited man''s glare and went over to calm down the situation. "Little Ma calm down," Bai Yun chuckles. "He is still young. No need to get so worked about it. I''ll have your new weapon finish by next week." "Then I would have to thank Master Blacksmith Bai Yun in advance then," Ma said. "I''ll take my leave now before I get blame for losing you a customer. Hahaha" "No problem. I''ll visit you soon." The man in suit name Ma then took his leave. As he walked passed Jun and gave him a glare then brushed his should across Jun''s. Jun instinctively dodged it. "Weak," he whispers and walks away. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. "Little Jun what are you doing here?" Bai Yun asks. "Grandpa Yun who was that man?" "A regular customer here. He''s not a bad guy unless its something to do with your father. Why are you here today?" "Its blacky. I think I broke him." "Alright let me see," Yun said. Then he frowned. "Follow me to the back." "Okay," Jun answers since Grandpa Bai Yun was not only a blacksmith but a strong cultivator too. In the back room there were curved tvs and black leather sofas. "Tell me what happen to your cultivation?" Bai Yun said seriously. "My cultivation is shattered and so are my meridian. I am now just a piece of trash." Jun replied honestly. Bai Yun was ashen. "You used that technique? Why? Isn''t Bu Fan always with you? Theres no body here that can threaten your life. Your mother would be outraged at your foolishness!" "I had no choice at the time," Jun sighed. "I made a mistake. I was arrogant and thought I could solve the problem myself." Bai Yun wanted to rage some more but looking at Jun''s depressed face he couldn''t muster up the anger too. "Let me see blacky then." Jun reaches into his backpack and pulls out blacky. Blacky''s blade were cracked but not shattered. It felt that a gently swing would turn it to dusk. "As you know when I made this sword Black is connected to your soul and cultivation. As you grow stronger so would this sword. But due to the fact you next broke through to the King''s realm when this happen Blacky never birth forth a spirit. So right now Blacky cannot be fixed. Any fix would not revert him back but be a brand new sword." "So there is no way to fix it?" "Not unless you somehow miracle get your cultivation back." "Oh. Is there a way to keep it safe?"Jun asks. "I can put a crystal casing for you. This way at least you can have a piece of mind it won''t shatter on impact." "Alright gramps please do so. I got something else that I have to do for now." "Alright child I''ll have it done by end of day." "Thanks gramp!" Jun yells happily. Bai Yun tried to mess with Jun''s hair but realizes he was to short to reach and awkwardly pats him on the shoulder. "Good luck. Life is short. Enjoy it." Bai Yun advises. He has seen numerous amount of cultivators lose their cultivators and many of them goes into depression, or turns suicidal. The stronger they the easier they slipped into depression. It was like a surgeon losing his or her hand, or a olympic sprinter losing his or her leg. Shaking his head he went back to work. There was nothing he could do. Jun walked to a hair salon to get his hair dyed black again. .....11 Hours earlier! "We have to go get him help for him!" Xintong yells when they got out of the forest. "There''s no one we can call for help. The police and guards will not go help some guy they don''t even no against a Horde of Moon Bat Bees. They number in the millions. The average cultivator in the force are only mid martial realm. Against a million of them it is suicide." "Wait! Director Ji San might be able to help. He was the one that recommended him to us!" Xintong said desperately. "Yeah lets go try!" Mei supported. It was better than nothing. "Ziyu call director Ji San that we want to meet him now," Xintong commanded. "Right away," Ziyu responded pulling out his phone. "Lets go! Everyone get on Da Bao(its the giant white rabbit)" Xintong yells. "Director Ji we got the King''s Starlight flower we need to meet you really quick tho. It is important." Ziyu said into the phone. "No problem I will be here," the other voice responds. Due to the streets and laws it took them a whole 30 minutes to get to the destination. Before them stood a skyscraper tall tower. Xintong then produces a seal and Da Bao became a small rabbit. "Lets go in." They opened the door and enters. Inside it had a very simplistic style like the space is very well used. The petite girl at the desk said to them, "you must be with WL group. Director Ji is on the 55th floor waiting for you. Please take the elevator to the right. Thank you!" "Thanks!" They all rushed into the elevator and was in front of the director''s office in minutes. "Director Ji!" Xintong yells losing all of etiquettes. "Hello Miss Xintong I heard you all completed your mission. I am very happy to hear that." "We need your help!" "Your whole team is here what do you need help with?" He asks confused. "The Guide that you sent us Xing Lin. He''s acting as a decoy right now in Fennik forest so we can get out safely. We came here to ask for your help to save him," Ziyu explains calmly. Xintong and the rest nods their head in agreement. "We don''t have a guide name Xing Lin," Director Ji said with a confused face. "What do you mean you don''t have a guide name Xing Lin!" Xintong raged because she thought that the director was being shameless. She thought that Director purpose fake not knowing so he wouldn''t be responsible for Xing Lin''s action. "Xintong," Director Ji said with a stern voice. "We don''t have a Xing Lin here. The guide we sent was Mao Te. And he is here." Director Ji presses a button on a phone, "please sent up Mao Te." "Yes director," the voice on the other line said. Mao Te a muscular middle aged man came walking into the room. "This is your guide right here!" Director Ji declares. "Hi I am Mao Te your guide." "We didn''t see him at all!" Mei complains. "What do you mean your our guide." Feeling like he was falsely accused Mao Te defends himself, "I was told by Director Ji to wait for you guys at Fen Park but I got there early and waited 2 hours for you people." "Fen Park?" Ziyu asks. "Didn''t we agreed on Fen Fen Park? It''s in the contract." Ziyu pulls out the contract to verify his claim. Director Ji San looks at the contract and realized that Ziyu was right. It was Fen Fen Park. "Looks like he fucked up," Ji San chuckles. "Now you have the flower and you don''t have to pay our guide." Mao Te glares at Ji San like he was trying to say your mom f*cked up! You lying piece of sh*t. You clearly told me Fen Park and when I called you, you said it was correct and to keep waiting. Xintong body trembled and was getting ready punch his face. Luckily Ziyu was there to stop her. "Thats true director, but we do feel indebted to the young man that helped us even if he did lie. Can you sent someone to rescue him?" Ziyu asks politely. The director rubs his chin and began to think. "Mao Te whats your opinion?" "You guys were going after the flower so if you messed up then you are likely to be chased by a hoard of bat bees. Do you know what cultivation he was at and how long as it been?" "His cultivation was peak Nascent realm and I would say its been about 2 hours." For a quarter of a second Ji San''s eyes and Mao Te''s eyes made contact for them to reach an understanding. "If he is adapt at escaping then he might be able to last this long but you would need to hire a King''s realm cultivator to help and they are not cheap," Mao Te explains. Director Ji San then continues, "we have a couple King''s realm cultivators here but they won''t move for tiny benefits especially with danger being this high." "We are willing to pay!" Xintong said determinedly. "It''s not cheap and even with my influence it is hard to make the move. Are you sure you want to do this for a nobody? Someone you don''t even know?" "Yes!" Xintong answers adamantly. "The King''s Star flower should go for at least 4000 spirit stones. If he is willing to do the tasks I am willing to give all the profit from the flower to them." Ziyu then whispers quietly to Xintong, "That will bankrupt us." "I know," Xintong answers resolutely. Chapter 10: Frustration "Okay I''ll get a King''s realm cultivator to immediately go rescue him. Do you have a picture of him?" Director Ji San asks. "We don''t," Xintongs murmurs thinking of a way to get him a picture. "Oh wait! He looks a lot like, Martial Dao, Pill Dao genius, unrivaled within 300 mile of Ziyou city Xing Jun!" She basically shouted that once she remembered his appearance. "Hahaha okay. Since we know what he looks like now you guys can go home and rest. Wait for the good news tomorrow," Ji San assures. "Mr. Te here will take care of hiring of the King''s realm expert. You can leave the flower here too and I will deliver it to your buyer." Ji San said respectfully. "Let me come with you," Xintong said. "I can help refine pills and other things." "Miss Xintong, its not that we don''t want you to come but you hired them to rescue someone and if you go with them and you are in danger. Do you want them to continue rescue your friend or save you. As harsh as this might sound it is better if you go home and relax. Trust us to bring your friend back safely if he is still alive." "Xintong he''s right. With our current cultivation we won''t even be of help and might just get in the way," Mei persuades. "Xintong just let them do their work. We already paid and Director Ji San''s company is reputable. If Xing Lin is even remotely alive they will rescue them." Ziyu comforts. "Alright, then," Xintong said reluctantly. "I''ll wait for the good news." "Trust us as long as he is alive we will definitely rescue him," Ji San assures. "Thank you," they said together and left. When the group was a safe distance away Mao Te turns around to Ji San. "Are we really gonna go rescue that brat?" "No," Ji San chuckles. "Its been 2 to 3 hours what are the chances that he could survive with a nascent realm cultivation. Even Master Realm cultivators can''t last 30 minutes against them never mind a measly Nascent realm cultivator." "So make it seem like we did the work?" Mao Te asks. "Yes," Ji San smiles greedily. ..... When Xintong and her gang were out of reach from Ji San''s company she asks Ziyu, "will Ji San really sent a group to help Xing Lin?" Looking uneasy Ziyu replies, "I am not sure. But I will go to Fennik Forest and see what I can do but first I have to get rid of any scent of the flower." "Brother Ziyu let me come with you. It was my fault that this happen," Hui said. "You are still too weak at the moment. If you want to help. Track that Mao Te guy''s movement. This was basically a suicide mission to begin with and I believe Director Ji San never had the intention of helping me us. Our employer only paid for Mao Te to guide us. If not for Xing Lin we would probable died in our attempt. Still find it weird that he risked his life for strangers." "At the end of the day we are alive because of him. Even if my brother is a f*ck up," Mei said viciously. "It was those dam beans!" Hui replied. "Who told you to eat beans on a mission!" Mei quips back. "I''ll go help Ziyu look," San Ti said after being quiet for a while. Ziyu nods his head and left immediately with San Ti. Mei turns around to Xintong, "lets go cultivate as we wait. Next month the entrance exams for Ziren College will start. If you want to achieve your dreams then the best chance you got is to enter it." "For you guys its you will definitely enter but with my cultivation level it is not very likely to be accepted." "Come on don''t be so down. You are a pill genius! Who can compare with you in pills! They test more than just Martial might and you know it. Aside from that Xing Jun guy no one in this city under 20 is better than you!" Feeling awkward Hui said, "I''ll go monitor then. See ya!" Xintong still feeling worried left with Mei to go cultivate. ... Back to present time While getting his hair dyed Jun heard a bunch of gossips in the salon. This was a upper rank salon that only the rich can have access too. Usually Jun would never appear in this type of salon that was meant for the wives, and girls from the rich family but with his hair suddenly turning white he had no choice but to do so. "Katie I heard from my husband that he will be visiting Royal Auction today for the King Star Flower," an older woman said. "I heard from my husband too that it was put up and spread about for an last night." Katie responded like it was fact. "I am very surprise that it even appeared in the auction. If I remember correctly didn''t Joe Rong put up a reward of 7000 spirit stones for anyone that can complete the mission? I still don''t understand why he would put up 7000 as reward when the base price for that plant is 4000 spirit stones." "Amy thats base price! You don''t know anything. Due to the rarity of it this flower can even go up to 20,000 if someone is desperate enough. If you can get it for less than 10,000 it would already be a blessing." "Still I heard a group call WL actually took the mission. Did they succeed? If so why is it on the market?" "From my sources I heard that they did succeed. So dumb! If I had the ability to succeed in that mission I would just auction it off myself." "Girl if you could successfully complete those type of missions you wouldn''t be here chatting with me." "Hahaha true. But I heard a even more interesting rumor through."You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. "Oh?" Amy said. "What is it?" Even Jun''s ears pricked up after hearing that. "I heard that the WL group voluntarily gave up the flower in exchange with Ji San to save someone." "How noble of them," Amy chuckles. "More like dumb," Katie said rolling her eyes. "From the rumors it seem like the kid was only in the nascent realm being chased by a army of those disgusting bat bees and that 2 hours passed by before the group reached Ji San." Amy nods her head, "yeah. With those bats teeth and claw strength combine with their speed its impossible for a nascent realm to survive." Hearing this Jun felt bittersweet. On one hand he felt warm from the care Xintong and her group did for him. On the other hand bitter than he gave up his cultivation and aside from saving their lives they won''t gain anything out of it. "Miss how much longer?" Jun asks. "Oh it should be fine now. Lets go wash your hair. Please follow me," a beautiful blond hair, brown eye girl said. Jun lied down onto the sofa like bed with his head in the sink. A warm breeze of water descended onto his head. She then applied the some and continued to wash his hair. "Aahhhh," she shrieks. "Your, your hair." She stammers. "Whats wrong?" Jun asks. "Its still white." "I''ll go get my manager," she said quickly a bit agitated because Jun has been there for 20 minutes now and she has applied the dyes and coloring but still nothing. The dye didn''t seems to stick at all to his hair. A middle age Asia woman came down a couple seconds later. "Mr. Jun am very sorry. Joan is new here I hope you can forgive her," she said. "No worries," Jun replied casually and Joan gave a sigh of relief.'' Mr. Jun as an apology would it be okay if I dye your hair for you?" She ask politely but internally she was very interested at why the dye didn''t work. This was dye she specially created that colors the hair to the root of the hair so that for the next 6 months it would grow whatever color it was dyed at. It has been 40 years since she started on her adventure as a hair hairdresser. "Go ahead I am not in any rush." "Alright I''ll start right away! Joan get me my box!" ....An Hour Later... "I am very sorry it is not possible. Your hair is somehow destroying the color of the dye. It even goes as far as to turn it white too. It could be linked to your cultivation method." She explains. "No worries. Thank you for trying through," Jun said. He also found it quite weird since he knows for a fact that he lost all his cultivation. Hair is basically dead that gets its color from a pigment called the melanin. Jun hands the Joan girl a gold coin and left. Putting on a black hat he took out his phone and called Bu Fan. "Bu Fan can you take me to Connection''s headquarters. Also set up a meeting with Director Ji San for me. Get the gang ready." ---------------------------2 Hours and 15 minutes hours earlier!--------------------- Xintong and her crew were on top of her bunny riding to Connection''s headquarter. "I followed Mao Te around all day yesterday and all he did was talked to a one''s King Realm expert and left. After that he walked into a hotel and didn''t come out until this morning. I can pretty much confirm he didn''t do the mission at all." Hui informed the group. "I checked out Fennik forest and the bats destroy 30 miles worth of forest. There is also sighs of a battle between Master Realms, King''s Realm and even Heaven''s realm. If Xing Lin got lucky he might have survived if he met the group but if not he is likely dead," Ziyu said. "First we need to get an explanation from Director San," Xintong said. "Right!" they agreed When they arrived at the Connection''s headquarters again they were told to wait in an office. It wasn''t until two hours later that the director received them. "Miss Xintong, and Mr. Ziyu welcome back," Director Ji greeted happily. "Director we are here to ask how the rescue mission went," Xintong said cutting directly to the point. Feeling the tension and that they might have caught on, Director Ji sighs. "Miss we are very sorry to inform you that he is dead." "Dead?" Xintong repeated like her mind was hit by a wracking ball. "Yes dead," Ji San confirms. "I sent out two Kings realm expert with Mao Te and we found a couple bodies in Fennik Forest including a battle site." "How I," Hui was about to shout when Ziyu stopped him. Xintong didn''t want to believe as her mind was consumed by guilt. "Where''s his body?" "We recovered one body but it was beyond recognition. Mao Te bring in bring in the body." Mao Te then came in and pulls out a body bag from his inter spacial ring. When he unzipped in there was a body inside. The face resembled Xing Jun with scratches, and missing body parts. He was wearing a torn grayish brown jacket and black jogger just like when they just met him. "Its him!" Hui and Mei with shouted in surprise. They were confused especially Hui. There''s no way Hui thought to himself. I saw him stay at a hotel for a whole day. There''s no way they went. Ziyu squatted down and exams the body. It looks extremely similar to the real body and even the cultivation was similar. If not for the fact that he went back to the forest he would have completely believed him too. Right now he was 80% sure. San Ti who was usually very talkative became quiet. "Its not him," Xintong said coldly. "Miss. Xintong that was the only body we found at the site. We have completed you''re mission. I know you feel guilt ridden but you saying this is a direct attack on our reputation," Ji San glares. "You might have gotten the looks, cultivation realm, even the clothes right but you can''t fool me," Xintong glares back. "Like I said this is the only body we found in the forest. Whether it is him or not it is not my problem!" "You didn''t even go to Fennik forest or try to ask Kings Realm expert to help," Xintong accuses. "Insolents! It was out of my good nature to help you but now you accusing me of lying!" Ji San shout angrily. "Cause you''re a lying piece of sh*t!" Xintong shouts back. "I''m not an idiot. What are the chances that another person that just happen to look like Xing Lin pop up in the forest at the same time we went! Answer me that!" Mao Te steps forward, "Miss whether even if the chances are one in a million it is still possible is it not? Furthermore can you prove to me that this is not him? He fits the description you gave us perfectly. Furthermore you even said that they have the same clothes. How are we suppose to suddenly and magically know what clothes he was wearing?" Out of frustration Xintong shouted back, "I gave him a necklace that could protect him from even a King''s realm attack. If he is dead that means the necklace should be broken but still around his neck. If you really sent Kings Realm experts to rescue him then why would they take a broken Necklace?" "There are so many scenarios that could have happen before we got there. The bat bees could have taken it. A wandering cultivator in the forest could have taken it for the materials. So many things could have happen how could we possible guarantee it?" Director Ji counters back. "Then the smell then! I am a alchemist and I am extremely sensitive to pill residue. We made a pill together before and there is not even a whiff of it. Only a pill expert would be able to erase the smell so other alchemist would not be able to guess the ingredients they used for a certain pill." "Like I said before it is Fennik Forest anything could happen. He could have dropped into the Onion lake, or Fuming Bush to erase the smell. Anything could have happen. Furthermore you only just met him how well can you know him?" "I, I, I" Xintong stuttered as it was true she just met him. But the scenarios they are describing are not very likely to happen. She felt frustrated at being so weak. If she was strong she could just go rescue him herself. Her eyes became dangerous as she glares at Ji San and Mao Te. Ziyu instantly sensed the killing intent in her and stopped her. "Xintong lets go. It is not worth it. We will go back and rescue him ourselves." "Since you didn''t do the task we want our item back," Xintong said emotionlessly. Usually she is caring and loving but when it comes to someone she hates then she will show absolutely no mercy. "Moralless thief," Mei mutters under her breath but it was loud enough for the other to here. "Like I said before, I have already completed your task and I am not obliged to give back your item since it was given as a payment," Ji San said calmly. The whole group felt helpless at their shamelessness and could feel anger rising up. San Ti''s hand gripped into a fist and the moment he did a sword was at his neck. "Watch your attitude," Mao Te sneered. "Mao Te lower your weapon," Ji San chuckles. "If you want to fight I will welcome but you will lose. As for the item you can go to court and try to sue us but you are very likely to lose if not guaranteed." They felt frustrated and helpless like they are alone in the world and they can''t do anything about it. At this moment they craved power more than anything. The only one who hasn''t lost his cool was Ziyu as he was monitoring Xintong very carefully. Then all of a sudden the secretary came in and whispers something in Ji San''s ears. His face darkens. Chapter 11: Threats The secretary whispers into Ji San''s ears, "Xing Jun would like an audience with you right now." "Your group can leave now. If you want to sue go ahead. If its a fight you want then this shall be your grave," Ji San said to them with a darken face. Reluctantly Xintong turned around, "lets go. But know this we are not finish yet." They stormed out the door as Jun arrives at the entrance of the first building. Jun with a black wig on presses the elevator button and a couple mins later the door open and Xintong''s group was in the elevator with deathly glares. "Oh hey bad luck girl," Jun casually commented with a nonchalant attitude. Xintong saw Jun and was stun for a second, "Xing Lin?" "Nope it''s martial dao, pill dao genius, unrivaled within 300 mile of Ziyou city Xing Jun," he joked. "Oh," Xintong replied. "Hey Xintong he''s kinda cute," Mei whispers. "Are you guys gonna keep blocking the door?" Jun asks arrogantly with a smile. "Intolerable," Xintong mutters as she moves out of the elevator. "How can two people look so similar be so different." Xintong turns back and warns Jun, "if you''re meeting that Ji San bastard he is a snake." "Thank you," Jun winks as he got in the elevator with Bu Fan and a group of men in black suits. "Ah Xing Jun welcome!" Director Ji San greeted with great hospitality when Jun steps out of the elevator. "Director Ji nice to meet you!" Jun replied. "Come in, come in and take a seat." Jun walked into the office and took a seat in Ji San''s chair. "So nice of you Director Ji." Ji San''s face darken for a quick second when he saw where Jun sat. "No problem. No problem. Customers are number one! So how can I help you today?" Director Ji said with a happy smile on his face. To Jun it looked so fake that he was laughing to death mentally. "It is very simple task director," Jun said. "I want you to stop selling pills from every other store and brand aside from mine. Your stores have captured 15% of the market. With the potential to penetrate the market for 3% more. Well simple want you to only sell my pills." "Hahaha," Ji San laughs softly. "Mr. Xing you can''t possible be serious. If we do that it will hurt our pill retail business." "So you''re saying that the pills that I work so hard with my sweat and blood isn''t enough for you to only sell my brand?" Jun asks with a light smile on his face that seems to say I dare you to say otherwise. "No, no, no of course not but customers are picky." "If I remember correctly and I always do," Jun said pulling out some paper. "It seems my pills do about 50% of your total store sales and thats with you not advertising it. I wonder why Director Ji San has not advertise it. I heard that Director Ji San is honorable, and uncorrupted it can''t be because you''re secretly taking bribes right?" "Of course not, of course not. We didn''t advertise because your pills are already selling so well we didn''t feel the need too."A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. "I''m very glad you said that. Since that is the case then if you stop selling the other brands then you can definitely save money on advertising. How about it Ji San." Jun said as every word he said becomes less and less polite. "Mr. Xing it is not that I don''t want to but that we have contracts with the other suppliers. If we back out of the contracts it would not look good for my reputation," Ji San explains. "San, San, San," Jun repeats. "I think your name means three in Chinese. I wonder why you''re not getting it even through your thick head.. I am not asking you. I am demanding you." Ji San blew his top this time, "Even your father would have to treat me with some respect and you think you can wallop in here like you own the place!? Then from today onward my store will not carry your brand of pills!" His aura rages like a crashing tsunami onto Jun but Bu Fan on the side diffused it. Jun spins around on his chair like what he said didn''t concern him. Then smiling evilly Jun looks at Ji San in the eyes. This gave Ji San a fright as he flinched back. Sweat came pouring down his back as he realized what he just said. "Director Ji San," Jun said mockingly. "I came in here with such a nice offer and was even thinking about giving you a 50% discount on my pills but now hahaha I have to reconsider my course of action." Jun brought out a USB drive and slides it across the desk. Jun stood up and walks to the entrance of the door then looks back and ruthlessly said, "by tomorrow I want all other pills aside from my brand out of all your stores. Furthermore you will give back that group from earlier the 24,550 spirit stones you earn from the sale of the King Star Flower. Not only that but because of your earlier outburst not only will I not give you a 50% discount but I will increase the price by 10% for you. If this is not done by tomorrow not only will you pay a million spirit stones in breach of contract but everything on that drive will go public. Lets go." When the group left Ji San lethargically slumped onto the floor. Even without looking at the USB he knew what was on it. While laying there he found the whole situation eerily weird. We have been doing business together for 2 years now and nothing like this ever happened. Why did I not feel a single pulse of qi from him. Did he make a break through to the King''s realm? As his thoughts began to fly wildly he began to sweat even harder. When they were far away. "Bu Fan," Jun laughs. "I gotta say your intelligence gathering ability would shame even those underground networks. How to do all that in 10 minutes?" "Young Master it wasn''t 10 minutes but 2 years," Bu Fan laughed. "It only took 10 minutes because you wanted to dig dirt for that Xintong girl. You fancy her?" Jun blushes a little, "no way! She is so uncultured and headstrong. Who would like a girl like that." "This is the first time young master is like a tsundere," Bu Fan teases. "But anyway can you find out where they are at? I need to visit them as Xing Lin to put their mind at ease. Or else with her personality they would feel guilty for life." "Are you going to let them know that you lost your cultivation?" "Yes, otherwise its gonna be hard to explain how I survived that." "I see. But you could say someone rescued you." "I was pretending to be a nascent realm cultivator. There''s no way I can make it to that location with that realm''s speed." "Alright you do what you think is best." "How''s my father? Does he know yet?" "No I have kept a tight lid on it. He should be back in 2 to 3 days." "Okay. You can drop me off here. Stay hidden for now." They drove pass the WL shop and parked a good distant away. Jun then changes into a new set of clothes in the car before getting out and walking to the front entrance. On the front door there was a sign that said "Out Will Be Back Soon." Jun knocks on the door to check if they are home or not because sometimes he would do the same when he doesn''t want to meet people. After knocking for a minute Jun decided that they really were not back yet. So he decided to sit down and take a quick nap. After what seems to be like an hour that pass Jun completely fell asleep and without his cultivation he didn''t even notice a group of people coming up. "That bastard is really infuriating!" San Ti exclaims. "Right! If I was stronger I would beat him till even his mom won''t recognize him!" Hui said. "We are still in debt and there''s nothing we can do at the moment. Xintong we can''t keep looking for him. You did what you can already. He seems like a really resilient person. He should still be alive. Lets all think of a way to deal with that Ji San guy," said Mei. "Guys I am sorry for being so useless." "If anyone is to be blamed it me," Hui said as he began to tear up. When they got to the door they saw someone sleep near their door. "Huh?" San Ti exclaims in surprise. Ziyu rubs his eyes and Xintong was stunned. Hui and Mei couldn''t believe their eyes either and pinches himself. Sleeping on the side of the wall was a white hair boy, in a blue jacket and brown pants. His face was extremely familiar to him. Xintong eyes began to redden and tear up. Her mind was in shock. "Xing Lin?" She stammers. "Are we dead too?" San Ti said out loud as he pinches himself. "That only work for dreaming," Mei said and pinches him too. "Ouch! What the fk!?" San Ti shouts. "Huh?" Jun mumbles as he woke up from San Ti''s shout. When his groggy mind saw the WL group he waves and said, "hello guys. I''m alive." Chapter 12: Realm Sect(Last chapter of this Volume) Everyone stood there stun. "You''re alive!" Xintong shouted happily as she rushed up bear hugging Jun. With his face planted in Xintong''s breast his face became hot. Its surprisingly big, Jun thought to himself. "Cough, cough!" Ziyu coughed. Noticing how she was hugging Jun she blushed even brighter than Jun. "Sorry!" She shouted. "Its okay," Jun replied. Everyone else aside from Ziyu was grinning in a happy and teasing way. Jun dusts himself up and stood up. "Hello guys sorry for making you all worry. I think you must have found out I wasn''t your real guide by now." Xintong caught sight of Jun''s white hair. "What happen to your hair? Why is it white now?" She asked worried. "Its a forbidden technique I cultivated in. I had to use it to survive. I should be fine after three months," Jun lied. "I can''t sense any qi on you through," Mei asks confusingly. "Right now I''m basically a mortal with no qi until three months from now." "Oooohhh. Makes sense," Mei nods. "How did you escape?" Hui asks curiously because he really wanted to know. "Guys lets not pester him so much and invite him inside," Xintong said. "Yes boss," Hui jokes. "You''re like a cockroach," San Ti laughs jokingly patting Jun on the back and was basically dragging him inside. "Hey remember when we said that if you survived that, that we consider you our brother?" "Kinda, but thats not why I am here." "Come in, come in," Xintong ushers. "Do you want some tea? Coffee? Water?" "Waters fine thank you," Jun said politely. After Xintong got everyone settled in they finally popped the big question. "So we gotta know how did you survive it?" Mei asks. "Yeah," Hui said. Jun pretended to think for a second but the story was already thought out. "Honestly I did not think I would survive." He admitted. "Huh then how you do it?" San Ti chimed in. "Well I used my family''s forbidden technique to forcefully raise my cultivation to the Master realm." "There''s such a technique!" San Ti and Hui shouted in surprise. Mei whacks Hui and San Ti on the head. "Will you stop interrupting him!" "Yes. Once I use it I would have 15 minutes. After that my cultivation is sealed for 3 to 4 months. Honestly even with that it was very hard to survive. If not for a heavens Realm expert coming out of nowhere to rescue me I think I would very likely have died." Jun explains. Everybody was shocked at his luck. "I only know 8 heaven''s realm expert in this city and for one of them to rescue you it seems you have some great karma," Ziyu nods his head in acceptance. Great karma my ass, thought Jun to himself. Smiling brightly Xintong said, "its great that you are okay. And whats in the past is in the past. You probable have your own reason for doing what you did that day but it was thanks to you that we even got this far." "No worries. I really do feel bad lying to you through. In truth I was running away from some people chasing me and San Ti appeared out of nowhere and grabs me." "Thats my bad but you really shouldn''t lie through Brother Xing," San Ti shrugs. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. "Well it doesn''t matter," Xintong said, "because from today onward Xing Lin is one of us!" "Yup agreed," San Ti said. "Well said," Ziyu added. "I am indebted to brother Xing," Hui said with a slight bow. "We should probable ask if he wants to join first..." Mei said going directly to the point. "Join what?" Jun asks in confusion. "Join our sect silly," Mei said. "Sect? I didn''t know you guys were part of sect," Jun said in confusion. "Well its not technically a sect yet but its a long story," Xintong commented. "Oh. You don''t have to say if you don''t want too." "Its okay we trust you," Xintong said. "I guess it began about one hundred thousand years ago. His name is Qin Shi Huang the first Emperor to unify the continent of Zhong Guo and was later named the Qin continent." Jun nods his head. "Yeah I heard of this." "What you don''t know is that he did''t do it alone. He had a General by the name of Jian Zhang. It was said that his sword art skills were unparalleled under the Heaven and was the first to master one of the heavenly Daos. The Dao of the sword. Through this mastery he ascended into the Titan''s Realm. Unlike Qin who was satisfied with his achievements Jian was not. He decided to ascend to a higher plane and disappear was how the story went, but thats where the story begins. When Jian ascended he created his own sect already for pursuing the top of the sword Dao. For twenty thousand years the world was at peace. Then the great invasion began." "Invasion?" "Yes from a higher plane was a species known as the fiend-gods." "Fiend-gods?" Jun asks in confusion. Even he has never heard of it before. How did these people whose cultivation can''t reach his know Jun wonders. "Yes these fiend-gods came because of Jian Zhang''s ascension which open a spatial rip that allowed them to detect us. Their bodies are as strong as archaic beast, with the ability to regenerate, and incredible intelligence. Their only downside is that their reproduction ability is one thousand times weaker. Meaning if we give birth to 1000 children they might give birth to one. It is the universe''s way to keep things balance. Even then they were overpowering us battle after battle. If not for the suppression of the Heavenly Laws we would have been wiped out in a matter of weeks. In a span of ten thousand years we were near losing until Jian Zhang heard about the situation and came back as a Emperor''s Realm Master and ended the war. He destroyed all the Fiend God''s and patched the spatial hole. At the time Qin his friend was dying due to old age. Qin''s last command was to build the Great Wall formation. It took 500 years but it was finally established and Jian created the four guardian sects to stand guard against further invasion. They are the Shang Sect, Xia Sect, Zuo Sect, and You Sect." Jun felt like he got slammed with a truck load of information and needed time to process. Fiend-gods, 4 guardian sects, Jian Zhang? Where did all this come from? She can''t possibly be crazy right? How come none of this is in the history books. "15 to 16 years ago the Shang, Zuo, and You Sects attacked my Xia Sect and everyone." "What!" Jun shouted in surprise. "Why?" "With the passage of sixty thousand years the danger they felt were significantly weaken and with no one ascending into the Titan Realm the infighting and power hungry bastards began to resort to any means to get stronger. My Xia sect who was completely loyal and took our duties more seriously was framed for cultivating a fiend-god." "That makes no sense why would they attack the Xia Sect? With the passage of time how are they even able to frame you?" Ziyu looks at Xintong, as Xintong looks back for confirmation. Jun saw that Ziyu shook his head a little. Xintong continues, "It is a Divine Ability that my grandfather acquired that is inherited. I shouldn''t say anymore than this but for if you like you can join my sect. There are some rules through. So would you like to join?" "Its not that I don''t want to join but that I wouldn''t be of any help at all," Jun explains. "With my current abilities I would be more of a burden than help." "The Xia Sect only has 7 members currently." "Seven? I only see five," Jun stated. San Ti took a quick shot of alcohol from his travel flask. "The other two is currently out adventuring but will be back in a couple months." "What are the restrictions? I don''t have to sign a soul contract do I?" Jun asks. "Hahaha," Xintong laughs, "no theres no soul contract just that you can''t reveal anything that was said here. No bullying the weak and less fortunate. You cannot say that you are part of this sect for now. That you will be loyal to this sect and will not hesitate to help when it is in danger." "Oh thats not bad." "As for benefits there really isn''t much," Xintong said in shame. Seeing her so sad Jun felt his heart ache for a sec. "Alright I''ll join then. I will be in your care then." "Aye that a boy!" San Ti laughs patting Jun on the back. The reason Jun accepted wasn''t because he wanted to be a part of the sect but because he wanted to help them out. If becoming their peers would help that goal he would do it. Plus thinking back to that day he still felt guilty over it especially after hearing this story from her mouth. There should be a better way to help. Jun thought to himself. "Thanks," Jun replied. "Welcome to the Xia Sect brother Lin," Hui congratulated. "Brother Lin it can''t be that you join the sect to pursue our Xintong can it?" Mei tease. "Mei!" Xintong shouts. "Brother Lin follow me," Ziyu said. "As a new member you will be receiving some of the techniques and cultivation methods left behind by the Xia sect." "Thanks." Ziyu took them to a vault storage room downstairs. It was a dark and damp basement but the vault looked pretty well guarded. It was a 10 feet by 10 feet vault made out of Oregon Ore. Xintong followed behind. "I sealed off the space," Ziyu said. "Okay thanks," Xintong said. "Lin I am going to transfer you the skills right now. Just relax and don''t resist." "Wait whats the vault for?" Jun asks confused. If you''re not gonna use the vault why bring me down here? "Huh? Oh that it was already here when we got here..." "Oh..." Xintong''s hand flew forward and taps Jun on the forehead and a flood of information and technique rushed in. Even through Jun lost his cultivation his soul was still in the peak Master Realm. His mind quickly began sorting through the information and storing them in the appropriate part of his memory palace. As a cultivator they all have to store huge amount of information as they grow stronger so those whose souls were strong enough would make a memory palace for themselves. As he scanned through the techniques Jun couldn''t help but be stun and amazed at some of them. Even through they were simple they were also heaven defying. Then he smiled bitterly remembering that he can''t cultivate anymore. Chapter 13: Surprise Visit/News After receiving the three techniques Jun was beyond amazed. There was a soul cultivation manual. Those were nearly impossible to receive if you were not part of a sect, college, or royal family. Even if you were part of those groups there is usually a price to pay to receive them. As Jun reviews it he notice that if he began training in this soul cultivation than perhaps he would have a King''s realm soul level. Then he noticed that there was a body strengthening manual. It was called the Dragon Body Manual. Lastly it was a unique qi circulation technique. This technique would increase Jun''s qi to be 2 to 3 times stronger and increase capacity by 20 to 30 percent. Sadly aside from the soul cultivation manual called the Enlighten Soul Manual the rest were useless to the current him. If only this was before he lost his cultivation. "Thank you," Jun said sincerely. "No problem. Just so you know these cultivation techniques are worth a fortune," Ziyu said proudly. "I can tell." "There''s actually one more technique that I can teach you but I currently do not have the materials for it to teach you," Xintong explains. "What is it? That it would require materials?" Jun asks. "We call it the Crimson illusion Lotus Outer Body Training technique. The crimson illusion lotus is a special flower that is able to absorb and record every single scene within a 10 meter radius of it. With this flower you would be able to mentally train against your opponent because the flower can absorb and record the opponents information." "That is pretty over powered." "Currently only I can use the technique. I use it to increase the proficiency of my pill refinements," Xintong explains. "This technique would be worth a fortune," Jun said in amazement. "But how would it help? I don''t think the lotus can process new information and manipulation the surroundings." "That is where you are wrong. The crimson illusion Lotus is a spirit tier plant that is alive. Once its created into the A.I. Pill and you refine it you''re brain''s intelligence, speed, and synapsis connection will increase. Not only that but if you meditate you can enter your inner world. This inner world uses that Daos, and physical laws to create a real world inside your mind. Furthermore it uses your brain to do memorization, in-depth analysis, predictions, and everything. The stronger the mind the further it can go. It is not error free through since it depends on your current understanding of the Dao and knowledge but if something conflicts inside your mind they will compare it with the worldly Dao around you. What it mainly helps with is muscle memory and experience." "That is still pretty insane," Jun said. Even with his experience he never dream that this was possible. There truly is a sky beyond a sky. A cultivator''s brain is like a computer except that it is filled with knowledge and memories from their life. The problem is not not everything they know and remember is correct and to use false information as an assumption could lead to a disastrous future. "Back then our clan use to grow this flower and the teachers would use their knowledge and experience to create worlds for their pupils to train in. This way the errors are decreased to a minimum and the students would experience and learn by their teachers examples." As Jun thought of it. "With this style of teaching wouldn''t you''re clan be the strongest? Even if they were framed they shouldn''t have disappeared like this. Just with this technique alone the quality of fighters and knowledge the student possesses would be 2 to 3 times other clans." Xintong gave a mysterious smile without an answer. "Lets go back up they are waiting for us." When they came back up there was a group of men in suits standing at the door. When they walked passed the hallway Jun saw a accounting book inside one of the offices. With his photographic memories he instantly memorized it. Jun also immediately recognized who those people were. They were Connection Corps minions. The one leading the pack was a male in his forties. He had a rough looking face that was covered by a full blown Santa beard. "Hi is Miss Xintong around?" He asks. "I''m Jo Fan the manager for Connection Corps. Director Ji San has sent us to give you the money from the sales of the King Star Flower." "What?" San Ti asks scratching his ears. "Say that one more time." The rest were in disbelief too. What could have possible happened in between now and a couple hours back to change their mind so fast. Jun smirked mentally at how quick they acted on his instructions. "Director Ji San has sent me here to give Miss Xintong the money from the sales of the King Star Flower."Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. "Yes I''m Xintong," Xintong said as she walks out from the backroom. "Hi nice to meet you," Jo Fan said expressionlessly. He then pulls out a metallic blue card from his inter-spatial ring and hands it to Xintong. "This here contains twenty five thousand qi stone." San Ti, Hui, and Mei''s jaws all nearly dropped to the floor hearing this. They still can''t believe this. Mei pinches herself to make sure she was awake. "Thank you," Xintong said cautiously. She still need not fully trust this development. Jo San then looks to the said and saw Jun. "This sir looks familiar. Is he the one you been looking for?" "Yes." "Thats good then. He has returned safely and we can settle this problem here. If I can help you with anything else let me know." "Then I thank Mr. Jo in advance then." "Hahaha okay. My job here is done. I will show myself out the door," Jo Fan said feeling the chill in the room. After they left everyone surrounded Xintong. "Is there really twenty five thousand spirit stones in there?" Hui asks curiously. "I don''t know," Xintong answers. "Use this to check," Ziyu said handing her what looks like a credit card swiper. When Xintong swipes the card a series of number sequence appears before the number twenty five thousand appeared. Their eyes popped out of their sockets as they noticed the number to actually be real. If they take this card to the bank they can either deposit it into their account or withdraw twenty five thousand spirit stones. "Wa cow!" San Ti gasped. He never seen so much money on one card before. Even Xintong couldn''t believe her eyes. "What happened?" Jun asks even through he knew what happened. "Oh earlier today we went back to Connection Corps. and demanded them to search for you and when they kept lying that they found you but the body they produced was you our boss here went on a rampage and nearly killed the guy," San Ti explained like it was the most normal thing in the world. "Then I gotta thank you guys for trying," Jun said sincerely. "Still its kinda weird that they kicked us out with such force that they come back wagging their tails like this," San Ti contemplated loudly. "Whatever the reason at least we are semi rich now," Hui brags. "Xin when you have time you should take the money and go over our finances later. See what you can do with it," Ziyu instructed. "Ziyu, San Ti, Hui, and Mei. If it is okay with you guys I would like to keep seven thousand for WL and give the rest to Xing Lin. Without him I do not believe we would have even gotta the flower much less escape." Xintong said. Before the others could say anything Jun said, "Xintong you should keep it. I''m still alive and my cultivation will be back in three months. I didn''t lose anything in the process. You have a company to run and I heard you guys were not doing so well. If anything I have this company to thank for. About 10 years it was because of this company that I came on the path of pill forging." "Pill forging can be expensive. Here take two thousand spirit stones as the payment for now. If you want you can start working for us here and learn. We will always welcome you," Xintong said as she wrote a check and pushed it onto Jun. Seeing that she wasn''t going to stop unless he accepts Jun graciously accepted it but realizes there''s no way he can deposit the check into his personal account. "Thanks. How about I treat you all to dinner?" Jun said. "Aye brother Lin is so generous unlike someone we know," San Ti teases. Xintong gives the group a death glare. They each gulped down whatever they were about to say and didn''t dare accept. "How about next time brother Lin," San Ti said and then whispers, "or when this monster lady isn''t around." "Next time then," Ziyu said politely. "Yup next time," Mei agreed. Seeing everyone agreed like this Hui could only sigh and reluctantly agree, "yeah next time." "Oh Xing Lin my parents will probable want to celebrate this later. You should come to my house for the party," Xintong said. "Everyone gonna be there." "Thats sounds great but I don''t know if I can tonight," Jun said. "Well if you can come to this address," Xintong said writing down her address. Then she handed it to Jun. "Also you should take down everyone''s cellphone number so we can talk with each other." Jun froze realizing that he never made a fake cellphone for his Xing Lin personality. "Sorry I don''t have one." "Ey Brother Jun your not embarrassed of us are you? Who doesn''t have a cellphone this day and age," San Ti said. "I move around a lot and haven''t had the time to get a cellphone. Once I do I''ll let you guys know." "San Ti can you quit being so rude to him?" Xintong said sternly as her mind was thinking that Jun might be poor and can''t afford it. "Well I''ll see you guys later I still have some errands to run. It was great meeting you all," Jun said. Then they all said their goodbyes and Jun left. Once he was out of their reach Jun got picked up by Bu Fan. "How did that go?" Bu Fan asks. "Pretty good. I don''t think they will be worried about me but I learned a lot of new stuff today and some of them worries me." "Like what?" "Xintong is restarting the Xia clan and with her current backing and strength there is no way she will succeed. Especially if what she said about the Xia clan is true." "Mhmm Xia clan why does that name sound so familiar?" Bu Fan asks himself out loud. "Its because she said that it is the 4 guardian clan." "Did you say four guardian clan?" Bu Fan asks in shock. "What about it?" "You''re great great great grandfather from your father''s side was blood bond friends with the clan leader of that family." "Well when your mother wanted to marry your father back then I did a little digging into you''re father''s background and found the connection. I was surprised. Anyway after some digging I found that the Xia Clan was in decline and since your great great great grandfather saved him during one of their crisis they made a pact. This pact was approved by the heavens. I actually have it in the vault. Anyway it states that if he should die then the descendants of the Xing family would have the rights to fight for control of the clan. Your great great great grandfather never wanted to be part of any clan and responsibilities so he never mentioned it and forgot about it." "So you''re saying that if I use this pact I can inherit their clan and bring them back to glory?" Jun asks. "Yeah thats basically it," Bu Fan shrugs. "I don''t know why you would put in so much effort for someone else''s clan and not care about your own business but yeah." "Thats great!" Jun said. "Bu Fan you are the best!" "I know." Jun looks at the card with the address in his hand and remembering what he saw on the accounting paper. 230,000 spirit stones in debt.Sur Chapter 14: Sell It To Me That night Jun changed back into his normal appearance with his white hair combed back before putting on a black wig and a jet black blue suit. "Butler Fan how do I look?" Jun asks. "Handsome," Bu Fan chuckles. "You trying to make them fall in love with you?" "I gotta look professional. This is me showing respect if not I probable just go in joggers and a t-shirt." "Oh right have you got use to using your Dao without qi yet?" Bu Fan asks. "No not yet. I would unconsciously try to use my qi to guide it," Jun explained. His body was now mortal, and his cultivation shatter but his Dao was still intact. Except there is a difference between a Dao with Qi and a Dao without qi. The Dao is a concept that uses the laws and physics of this world. An example would be to try and teach someone math through words alone rather than both words and visual. If you think of a pen''s ink as qi then the Dao would be the thoughts and understanding of the subject. Right now Jun is like a teacher with knowledge but no device to relay the information through to the mass. He can verbally teach it but it is not as effective without visual aid. For current Jun using the Dao to fight is basically like fight with his hands tied behind his back. Sure he can still fight with his lags but the effect is 50 times less effect than with actual qi to act it through. "Even if I succeed my battle strength would at most be in peak martial realm." "Its better than nothing," Bu Fan sighs. "My body is that of a mortal too. I can barely bench 120. Even if I master it my body can''t keep up," Jun said mockingly to himself. After experiencing strength and power like those of a God it depressing losing it. Luckily after mastering the Dao of Lightning, Fire and Earth his attack power were be at least comparable to a peak martial realm cultivator if he masters using it with his soul. Right now with his control his attacking strength is only at peak nascent realm. "Mortals have their own ways of training too not everyone is fit for cultivation. Some can even lift 300 pounds." "Sure but can they ever life 300 pound with ease? Can they sprint at 200 miles an hour. Those are impossible for them. Have you read those wizard stories? I''m like a mage right now against a nascent realm cultivator I would die in a seconds." "Young Master you''re right thats my bad. So how do you want to proceed with this?" Bu Fan asks. "I''ll go in alone and explain my thoughts to them. I mean this is only benefitting them. I don''t even know why they would think of refusing." Bu Fan smirks like he knows something, "Are you sure you don''t want me to come in with you?" "If you do come it is gonna look like I am forcefully taking over." "As you wish then. I''ll be around let me know when you''re done. Oh wear this armor. You might need it." Bu Fan said handing him a millimeter thick wired armor. "I placed a formation on it so even without your qi it will activate once you feel threaten. "Thank you." Later that night Jun arrives at the address. It was a two story house about three thousand square feet made out of bricks. Jun saw that there was a couple tamed beasts in the front yard and assumes it was the WL group here. Jun knocks on the door. Knock Knock Knock. "Coming!" Xintong voice shouts over. Door opens, "Xing Lin you''re here," Xintong said then shirks like a cat whose tail got stepped on after realizing it was Xing Jun. "Oh its you!" "Hi." "What do you want? Revenge?" She asks provocatively. "Revenge?" Jun asks confused. "I know there is a misunderstanding between us..." "How do you know where I live?" Xintong interrupts. Jun rolls his eyes, "is your parents home? I need to talk to them."This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. "Talk to my parents? What for? I already apologized okay!" Xintong''s parents hearing her argue with someone at the doorway came out. "Who is it?" Mr. Xia asks. "Oh Mr. Xia." Jun greets. "Honey who is it? Is it a patient?" Mrs. Xia asks. "Tell them we close and to come back tomorrow." "What she said," Mr. Xia said. "No I am not a patient." "Dad this guy is very petty and even found our house just to take revenge." "Revenge?" Mr. Xia shouts in confusion as his anger rises. "Who dares to come to our place and get revenge on our daughter!" Mrs. Xia yells storming out from wherever she was at. Her hands were like claws that flew out of the doorway. Jun tried to dodge but due to his slow movements his shoulders were latched on by Mrs. Xia''s claw like hands. The arm instantly activated preventing Jun''s shoulders from shattering to dust. "What do you want from my darling Xintong!" Jun chuckles awkwardly, "please listen to me first." "Mrs. Xia, Mr Xia whats going on? Do you need our help?" Ziyu shouts. "I''m Xing Jun son of Xing Tian. I am here today because I want to talk to you all about the Xia Sect. Is it okay if I come in?" "You can not." Mrs. Xia said. After much debate, and re assuring them that he did not come for revenge they reluctantly let them in. In the house he sat in a chair on a round table being stared down by a group of people. Ziyu, Hui, Mei, San Ti, were all here too. "What is it do you have to say. Spit it out." Mr. Xia said. "I want to discuss with you about inheriting the Xia Sect name." The group looks at Jun in confusion like how did you know. Seeing the confusion Jun continues, "Let me explain. My great great great grandfather saved your Patriarch a long time time and they became like brothers. They later made a pact that was approved by the heavens. It states that if he should die then the descendants of the Xing family would have the rights to fight for control of the Sect. My great great great grandfather never wanted to be part of any clan and take on any responsibilities never bother with it. I recently just discovered this from my Dad after I met Xintong. I did some further research into the matter and found that the Xia clan has been in decline and you and four others branch families are fight for the rights to inherit it but they have allied themselves with other sects. You are the only one that nobody knows about. What I am proposing is that I take over your portion of the inheritance and bring it back to glory since I have the influence and power to do so. If you guys were not riddled with debt, and other problems I would not bother but I have my ambitions." They were stunned and didn''t know what to say. "Of course I am not shameless enough to just take it like that. I would like to make Mr. and Mrs. Xia both elders of the Sect along with the privileges and Miss Xintong would receive the proper resources for her training. Not only that but I am willing to buy and pay off all the debts you currently own." "And what makes you think we will simple just believe what you say?" Mr. Xia sneers. "Because of this Heaven Decree," Jun said pulling out a red piece of parcel. There is a slight glow and the Xia family could feel their blood boil. The paper gave off an absolute aura that makes it hard for anyone to disobey its'' command. "You!" Mr. Xia declares in anger. "I am not the bad guy here. I know how hard Miss Xintong has worked to revive the sect and she is at a disadvantage when compete with others. I am here to even the playing field. Since I am also a legal inheritor what I am doing is equivalent to saving the sect. So sell me the inheritance. So what do you think?" "Hahaha," San Ti chuckles. "Aren''t you a bit delusional?" Jun looks at San Ti, "and who allowed you to speak in a family matter?" His eyes then shifts back to the Xia family. Mr. and Mrs Xia with sighs really loudly and stood up. Fawoosh! A sword appears in Mr. Xia''s hand and a gauntlet. Jun instantly stood up and took two steps back. "Ehhh." "I don''t who you are or whatever dam decree you got," Mr. Xia roars. "We will not dishonor the sect by selling! You can go to hell!" His sword raging down on Jun''s head. At the speed that it happened Jun couldn''t react but his instincts kicked in and his Daos tried to stop it. Then a sudden surge of power course through his body controlling him to dodge. In the next instant a full blown out battle began where Mr. Xia would try to strike Jun with a death blow. Then Mrs. Xia joined in too. Jun could mentally feel that their Daos were strong enough to break through to the Heavens Realm. Yet their cultivation was only mid Master realm. Xintong stood there in shock because her parents could even kill King realm experts yet cannot kill a kid. Jun dodged his way out of the house. "Get out! Don''t let me see you again!" Mr. Xia roars. Seeing that they stopped attacking when they reached the door, Jun bows in apology and left. After jogging a distant away. A black limo pulls up. The driver got out and opens the door for Jun. When Jun sat into the car Butler Bu Fan was smirking and trying to hold back his laughter. "How was it?" He asks. Jun made a face that seems to say like you don''t know what happened. "How could they just attack someone like that? Bunch of psychopaths." "Thats right," Bu Fan chuckles. "They were known as the Heaven Slaying Couple back in the days." "You know them?" "Of course!" "Then at least warn me next time. I almost died!" "I was watching. And they weren''t really going to kill you. Those were fake killing intent." "Pretty sure it was real..." "If they were really intending on killing you I would have to personally interfere. Controlling your body would not have worked." "There is nothing but benefits I still don''t understand why they would reject," Jun sighs. "No respectable cultivator would just sell their heritage. You look down on them too much if think for even for a second they would be willing to sell it to you." "You could have told me this before. Wouldn''t have wasted my time otherwise." "Are you still intending to help them." "Yes. I have to think of another way." "Your father decided to come back tomorrow. Have you thought of a way to tell him yet." "No," Jun said depressingly. Chapter 15: Disappointment For the rest of that night Jun was loafing around in his room practicing his Dao control and was training in the Enlighten Soul Manual. Throughout the night he was refining his soul. Even through his soul was in the Kings Realm Jun noticed how weak his soul was. It was like a big fat piece of tofu. This technique not only expend his soul but strengthens it. After 5 hours that night Jun has managed to refine his soul 3 rounds and his soul which was 10 meters tall before became 9 meters tall but it was much stronger than before. It was like his tofu soft soul gained a leather armor. When his eyes opened up again it was already morning. After brushing his teeth he went downstairs to eat. He walked into the dining room and noticed his breakfast was on the table with no one around. His chest tighten for a second before picking up the chopstick as he digs into his meal. Later he went back into his room to practice the Enlighten Soul Manual. Even through he lost his cultivation he didn''t feel extremely down. Instead he shifts his thought into thinking of this as a challenge. Life is a bumpy road. Later that day at around 6 o clock his father finally came home. "Jun come to my office," his father''s voice echoed in his head. Jun got up and walks up to his dad''s office door. His father''s office was surrounded by a hundred formations intricately linked together to prevent even a Peak Heaven''s realm from barging in and doing whatever they want. Jun''s dad had absolute control over the formation which makes it even more terrifying. "Come in," his father said in his head and the formation opens a hole for Jun to enter. "Hi dad," Jun said shyly. His father sat in his office chair with his hair combed back. He had a fair complexion and looked to be in his mid thirties. Even through his body was covered in clothes one can still tell how tone and strong his muscles were. His stare was like being peered down by a predominant archaic beast. His dad instantly sense that something was wrong with Jun. He couldn''t sense a single ripple of energy from Jun''s body. Xing Tian''s face frowned as there could only be one reason. "Your cultivation..." Tian said. "I lost my cultivation." Jun flat out stated. "What happen!" He bellowed angrily. "Who did this!" "Its nobodies fault. I messed up." "What do you mean nobodies fault? Where was Bu Fan in this? Wasn''t he suppose to protect you?" His father questioned. Jun didn''t have the guts to answer. "What did you do? Did you try to run away again. Why do you always do this stupid sh*t. Now look at you!" "Dad I don''t want to inherit your position. I want to travel the world and meet new people. Learn new things. I don''t want to be trapped here like this." Xing Tian''s face looked furious. "How many times have I told you! You are inheriting my position in the future and that is final. I am doing this for your own good!" "My own good?" Jun questioned as his anger began to boil up. "I have no opinion in any of the things I do. I can''t do anything without your approval." "Because I am your father and because of stupid sh*t like this!"If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "I wanted to learn pill forging and I somehow ended up owning a company and have to train and study crazy hours to please you! I told you I don''t want to marry that girl but you already plan my engagement and wedding without even asking me!" "You don''t understand anything! Just because of some stupid praises you let it get to your head!" His father shouted. "Like what! Because she is rich and has a high status in the city?" "High status? They have the highest status in this forsaken city! Do you know how many people wish they can marry the city lord''s daughter but can''t!" "That sounds like their problem not mine!" "I''m doing this for your own good. What is there not to like about it? You got income, a powerful backing, and strength. Do you know how many people wish they were you?" "Wish they were me? All they see is the glory I achieved and not the hard work I put in!" Jun shouted back. "Working on my pill studies 8 hours a day. Then cultivate for the next 10 hours. After that I have to practice martial techniques, and sword arts. I don''t even have time to sleep. Day in day out thats all I do. You think any of them are willing to put in this work?" "You are my son. You are suppose to work that hard. Look at your sisters! I don''t see them trying to run away every couple of months." "My sisters? You treat them like royalty. They can do whatever the hell they want and still won''t get in trouble. I worked 10 times harder them and all I get from you is a couple good job over the phone. Even when I control 63 percent of the pill market you question why I don''t have 100 percent. Never once have I received your approval. Even now you don''t give a dam about me. All your worried about is how you are going to look to the public!" "Why I treat them so well? Its because they don''t throw tantrums like a spoil brat everyday!" "I told you I don''t want to inherit the family head position! Xing Feng is more than willing to inherit but because she''s a girl you won''t let her!" "You think it would be easy for a girl to inherit the gang? You think the elders of this gang will just accept it willy nilly? She is strong but her talent is nothing compared to your''s!" "So what! Then am I just suppose to follow your example? Live like a zombie through it all?" "When have I ever not let you do something? You wanted to learn alchemy I hired the best of the best for you. You wanted to learn martial arts I hired the best teachers for you. It is because I spoil you too much that you are like this!" "Spoil? You spoil my sisters not me! Do they have an arranged marriage? Do they have to do anything that they protest about? Dad I just want to make my own decisions and live my life how I see fit." "A life like that will only leave you in regrets! You think life is easy out there? You think without my help you will be where you are today? How come you never understand what I am doing for you?" "Dad I know what you are trying to do for me and I appreciate that but I want to make my own decision." "You''re gonna make mistakes making your own decisions. I have already lived through this. I have already gone through it. I am trying to prevent you from making regretful decisions. Look at what happen when you make your own decisions. You lost your dam cultivation!" Xing Tian tried to reason calmly. "Your not listening dad!" Jun shouted back as his voice grew angrier and angrier. "Listen to what! That you want to waste away your life wandering around some nameless territories? That you want the most gorgeous of girls? Whats wrong with the City Lord''s daughter? I have seen and met her. She is decent looking, with a great personality. She is kind, caring, talented and smart. What more can you ask for?" "I am done. I am done trying to please you and get your approval. Not once during this conversation have you asked me how I am feeling or ask how you can help. It has always been you, you, you. You are always working and not around. Whether when I am sick, or injured it is always the maid and servants taking care of me. Not once have you care! Everything else is always more important." "Is that what this is about? Me working grinding my life away to provide you and your sisters a better future than the one I had? Man up and stop acting like a kid." "Acting like a kid? When have I ever had the chance to act like a kid with you? I am either studying, practicing, or working. I don''t even have social life outside of this family. I am not even allowed to go to college because you don''t want me to travel." "Whats the people of going to a college when I can bring the college to you!?" Xing Tian barked back. "I don''t see your sisters complaining about it and they aren''t even allow to go just like you." "You know what I am glad I lost my cultivation! If I had to do what I did to lose it I would do again ten thousand times!" Jun yells back in spite. Xing Tian didn''t notice that he was standing up and Jun shouted that. For the first time in a long time he felt disappointed in his son. He sighs and sat back down. "For the first time I feel disappointed in you. Go leave my office. Pack up your things and do whatever you want. I don''t have a unfilial son like you anymore." Chapter 16: Chicken Handing Out Fliers Jun felt devastated like his world just fell apart. He usually fight with his dad over this matter but never once has he disown him. Through that devastation he also felt a burning anger. "Fine! I''m leaving!" Jun shouts back in the heat of the moment and opens the door and slams it behind him. Inside the room his body trembled and a bead of tear rolled down his face. Jun went to his room and packed up his stuff. "Argh!" he shouted in frustration. The inter spacial ring wasn''t working because doesn''t have qi anymore. "I don''t have a fucking suitcase either. How do these people live!" Bu Fan came walking into the room with a suitcase. "Young Master I have packed your stuff." "Thanks Bu Fan," Jun said sincerely. "You''re going at it again with your dad?" Bu Fan asks. "Yes. I''m leaving. I don''t think I will be coming back this time." "Young Master don''t worry. With your talent you will succeed in anything you do." Jun smiles knowing that he was just saying that to comfort him. What talent does he have when his cultivation was shattered into a million pieces. "Protect my dad. You know where I will be going. If I have any problems I will contact you." Jun said as he finished packing. He didn''t take any of his expensive clothes and just the normal inexpensive ones. "So you''re gonna live as Xing Lin from now on?" "Yes. Before I was just trying to help them to repay a debt, but now I want to help them, except it''s to satisfy my own ego." Bu Fan had a rare smile on his face like it is was saying you have finally grew up. "Do you know why you were unable to break through to the King''s realm before?" Bu Fan asks. Sensing that he had the answer Jun replied, "no. Maybe my insights just wasn''t enough." "While your mind was defying the heavens your heart, and soul were imprisoned by your love for your family. Not necessarily a bad thing but your actions were not necessarily always your own. Even if you broke through into the Kings realm before, your cultivation in the future would be limited." "Looks like I won''t have that problem anymore." Jun laughs. "No you won''t," Bu Fan said mysteriously. "This event might just be a blessing in disguise." "You make it sound like you have a way to bring my cultivation back," Jun chuckles. "No I don''t, but your mother, and father do." "Huh?" "Mom is dead. If my dad really had it he would problem have forced me to cultivate on the spot earlier."Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel. "Your dad has his reasons. He is not a bad person. I will set up an apartment for you. You can live there for now. I will talk to your father. The WL group seems to really like your Xing Lin identity." "Cause I wasn''t an asshole to them," Jun laughs thinking of the interactions between him and other people. It was really fun messing with them. "Let me see your hand," Bu Fan said. Jun brings his hand up and Bu Fan held it. A surge of heaven qi ran through Jun''s body. "I placed my qi inside your body. You use the qi for items like the inter spacial ring and to heal injuries but do not using it for fighting. Your body will be destroyed." Bu Fan warns. What he didn''t say was with the qi in his body he can track Jun within a thousand miles. "I got it. I was still a genius before." "Right, right, right genius boy Xing Jun." "Alright I''ll catch you later then." Jun said and walks out the door. "I already brought a apartment for you near the WL shop. Let me know if you need anything else. Here''s the address. I set down a formation that will make it so it will only open to you." "Sounds good I''ll be heading out first then." Jun grabs his suitcase and left the house. He then called a car riding company called rides to get into the city. From there he walks toward his new apartment. The apartment was made out red bricks with glass windows. Jun estimated that the monthly rent would cost anywhere between 2000 to 3000 silver coins for month. When Jun walks into the first floor he notices that the whole apartment''s formation was under his control. Meaning he could get in and out of any room, and apartment in this building. He smacks his own face in a omg moment, why would you do that. Bu Fan literally brought the whole apartment for him. He then went into his room and notice that everything was laid out. There were a set of his clothes, towels, and utensils. It looked like he was staying at a 5 star hotel rather than an newly rented apartment. After settling down he felt a little hungry and decided to go downstairs for some food. As he was walking downstairs he felt his phone vibrate. Taking a peak he saw that it was his third sister Xing Mei. If it was Xing Feng he would not have answered but Xing Mei was just too innocent. "Hello?" Jun said into the phone. "Brother! Do you know why dad just sent sister Feng and I to Kunming?" "Thats all the way at the other side of the country," Jun stated. "I know that makes no sense. Could we be in trouble?" Xing Mei asks. "I doubt Dad probable knows what he is doing. Anyway he just disown me an hour ago soooooo don''t let him catch you talking to me or he''s gonna throw a fit." "What!" She exclaims. "Yeah you know what we usually fight about." "But, but he never kicked you out before through." "There''s always a first." "Brother what are you going to do?" "I don''t know at the moment," Jun lied. "Do you need money? We''re suppose to leave in 2 to 3 hours. I''ll deposit some money into your account." "Don''t worry about it. I got money. And you know your bro is the strongest in the city for under age 45," Jun said heartily. He felt warm that Xing Mei was still so caring. "But keep me updated. I''ll do what I can here." "Brother you just focus on getting back on your feet. With your talent that shouldn''t be a problem at all. There''s not many problem that sister Feng and I can''t solve," she resolutely. "Thats great to hear. But dad sending you to Kunming is very weird. I''ll see what I can find out." "Take care brother." "You too." Jun hangs up the phone and decided to call Bu Fan. "Bu Fan why did my dad sent Mei and Feng to Kunming? We have no business or contacts there." Bu Fan pauses for a second before answering, "I will find out for you." "Thanks." When Jun arrives downstairs he saw an extremely stunning girl. Her eyes had the look of a predator, and her body and just the way she carries herself was very sexy. By modern standards she was the perfect thick. She wore a loosely strapped dress that showed some skin but not too much. One word appeared in his head. Dangerous. The next word was avoid. As they walked pass each other Jun avoided eye contact and ignored her completely. The girl immediately notices and glance back but then thought nothing of it and continues into the elevator. Jun felt a sense of relief when she stops staring at him. It felt like a beast getting ready to devour him. Especially now that he doesn''t have a cultivation system. When Jun arrives at the city he went into town to grab some food. On the way he noticed there was a giant chicken costume handing out fliers. For some reason he felt that the person inside''s aura is extremely familiar.
