《Star Wars Imperial Commandos》


 So It Begins

    Once the republic fell and the empire rose to power, the men that was once commandos where assigned to train the new batch of commandos. We will be following a group called Delta, this was a name that had spread through the years and became very famous. The leader, Wilk, he was a tall thin teen that came from Coruscant before the planet was destroyed by the death star. The next one was the first female to join the imperial commandos. She came from Concord Dawn she was the second in command and loves explosives. Her name is Jezz she had dark brown hair that rolled down like a dark brown waterfall. The next one is Nex he came from a warrior village in the Eadu system. He had done some bad things on his planet and thought the empire would be good for him. His family had always taken part of wars, this was a walk in a park in his eyes. The last one was a girl from Lothal she had only joined the empire so that she can leave her planet. Her name is Bez, she was a tall smart lady. Bez is also a master at splicing she can splice anything.


    The last shuttle for the week is about to land.


    ¡°Hey what is all your names?¡± Asks Nex.


    ¡°My name is Bez I came from Lothal and can hack into anything that is in front of me.¡± Said Bez.


    ¡°Hello, Bez, I¡¯m from Eadu my village is one of the only warrior villages remaining. I love heavy weapons and explosives.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°My name is Jezz I came from Concord Dawn, which is in the same system as Mandalor. I as well love explosives.¡± Said Jezz


    ¡°My name is Wilk I came from Coruscant and I¡¯m the leader for our squad.¡± Said Wilk with a snicker.


    Nex looks over to Jezz and Bez with the ¡°Why me expression¡±, they both laughed.


    ¡°Wilk do you miss the city life?¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°I do but I was told that we will be stationed there for our next assignment, let go ahead and set some rules since we are going to be a team. One¡­¡± Wilk was then interrupted by the pilot coming over the intercom.


    ¡°Attention cadets we are on approach to the Mandalorian capital. Once we land you will have five minutes to get off my ship.¡± Said the pilot.


    Jezz looks down at the landing platform and sees her farther. ¡° why is my dad here?¡± said Jezz.


    ¡°Jezz that is your dad!¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Yes, I guess he is in charge of the commando academy. Nex you might want to have a word with him because you have not stopped staring at me since you have gotten to know me.¡± Said Jezz.


    ¡°I did not think you saw. I guessed wrong, but I was just in awe.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Nex let us have this conversation later... alone, after we get settled.¡± Said Jezz.


    The shuttle lands with a thud the boarding ramp opens with a cloud of mist reveals the leader of the Mandalorian commando academy. ¡°Hello cadets and welcome to the Mandalorian Commando academy where you will be beaten and shown the way of the Commando. Your hearts are pure and full of Imperial blood you all will be tested to the max.¡± Said Tutan. He looks over to his daughter Jezz.


    ¡°Jezz you made it I¡¯m glad you did.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°Glad to see you to dad, it has been a while since you where home.¡± Said Jezz.


    ¡°Here are your guys room assignments.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°Nex you and Jezz are near each other and it is the same for Wilk and Bez. Nex I¡¯m certain that you won¡¯t do anything to hurt my daughters feelings.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°I will not sir, I promise.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Good because us Mandalorian¡¯s have great ways on killing the enemy.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°DAD, Stop and let us get going I¡¯m going to show Nex and Bez around the capital. I know when you¡¯re watching so don¡¯t make me go off the radar.¡± Said Jezz.


    ¡°Fine, tonight you guys can go out and explore.¡± Said Tutan.


    Once Jezz and Nex go far enough away she turns me around and kiss me on the lips.


    ¡°Jezz what was the for?¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°I see that you really care for me, since you did not run away like the others I have brought to my dad, I feel like you will do what you said. Also, to tell you the truth I want to be with you to the end of times, but we must keep it under raps until we are away from my dad.¡± Said Jezz.


    ¡°Wait you feel the same way?¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Yes, and because our ¡°squad leader¡± seems like a creep, I want you to replace him. I feel like you would be a better squad leader and if you get on my dad good side then maybe he will try you out for the squad position. Wilk is just some rich kid from Coruscant, his parents probably paid for his way into the commando academy. Yes, I do care for you as your face shows I think that I¡¯m in love with you.¡± Said Jezz.


    Nex looks at Jezz and sees Wilk peak his head out around a corner. He taps on his data pad and holds it toward Jezz. Jezz looks down and sees ¡°Wilk is hiding behind a corner a few corridors back I will contact you on the holotable. We can talk more¡± Said Nex.


    Jezz looks up to Nex and winks. She gives Nex a quick kiss and heads to her room.


    Nex watches Jezz head to her room and Wilk yells ¡°Nex get to your room or you will be punished.¡±


    ¡°Wilk if I¡¯m wrong you are also out of your bed and on the wrong side and floor for your room. I feel like your jealous of what I have, and you don¡¯t.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex opens the door and sees that he already has a message.


    ¡°Hey Nex, did Wilk try and get you into trouble? Also, I love you can¡¯t wait to start this tomorrow. Goodnight.¡± Said Jezz.


    The next morning Nex walks with Jezz. ¡°Hey Jezz, me, you and Bez need to talk only on the holotable because Wilk is finding out.¡±


    ¡°Okay let me speak to her and see what she thinks.¡± Said Jezz.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.


    Nex and Jezz enter the door to the mess hall for the morning briefing.


    ¡°Nex, Jezz you have ten minutes to eat the training is about to happen. Once those ten minutes are up and you are not done eating then I will have to report you.¡± Said Wilk.


    Jezz whispers under her breath ¡°I hate him, snob lord.¡±


    Wilk stops but doesn¡¯t turn around.


    ¡°Jezz we need to eat we can talk about this later, he knows that he is the most hated in our squad, soon we can activate our plan.¡± Said Nex.


    Wilk turns around and stares with rage in his eyes. ¡°Nex I have a feeling that you are the most hated in our squad. Jezz thinks it is also correct.¡± Said Wilk.


    ¡°I don¡¯t care if I¡¯m the most hated in our squad, if Jezz feels that way then that is fine.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Nex let it go, we need to get going, we can finish this conversation later when it is just me and you.¡± Said Jezz.


    Nex looks at Jezz and he calms down and they both quickly finish their breakfast. After they finish their breakfast they quickly run to the first training of the day.


    ¡°Welcome commandos to your first training. Today we will be testing your ability to work on a weapon, you will have a box that needs to be assembled and test fired. Nex, you will have an autocannon that you will need to assemble, you will have longer time to assemble the weapon compared to the rest. Wilk you have two weapons to assemble since you are supposed to be team leader. Jezz we have a grenade launcher for you to reassemble, you will have the same time frame as Nex. Bez you will be assembling two blaster pistols. Anybody that is wanting the squad leader position must excel in all training areas.¡± Said Tutan.


    Jezz and Nex looks at each other at the same time. Nex nodes and steps forward. ¡°Sir, I would like to go first since I have a bigger assignment.¡± Said Nex.


    Jezz also steps forward. ¡°Sir, I would also like to go first since we both have a hard assignment.¡± Said Jezz.


    Tutan looks at them both, ¡°Okay Nex, Jezz you are both to go first you have ten minutes to get your guns up to running condition and then we want you to destroy certain targets in under five minutes.¡±


    Jezz and Nex run up to the boxes and they pull out their parts.


    ¡°Jezz I want to wish you luck, no hard feelings if I win?¡± Said Nex


    ¡°I want you to win that squad leader position, you are my only real competition.¡± Said Jezz.


    Nex gets all of his parts all laid out on the table, he looks over to Jezz slightly and sees that she is already getting started. After five minutes he already has the gun 90 percent complete. After two more minutes the gun is already to fire. He looks over to Jezz and sees that she almost done with hers as well.


    ¡°Commandos, you have one minute until your test your weapons. Nex is your weapon ready to test?¡± Asked Tutan.


    ¡°Yes sir.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex grabs his autocannon, steps forward to the shooting range. He hits the button and several targets line up. He starts to warm up the weapon and begins to fire. Round after round he fires and each of the targets go down. The last group of targets he fires a blast shot and takes them all out with a single shot.


    ¡°Cadet Nex did you modify that gun to do that?¡± Asked Tutan.


    ¡°Yes, sir, you had all the parts to do that modification. All my weapons that I make have that shot to it. Most heavy weapons can be able to do that shot.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°I like your thinking Cadet Nex, I¡¯m going to give you squad leader for your ingenuity, I need you to pick who your second in command will be.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°Sir my parents told me that I will be in the squad leader for this group.¡± Said Wilk.


    ¡°Cadet Wilk we don¡¯t take demands from people that don¡¯t earn it. This is Mandalor traditions and this is a Mandalor based school. This is the last time you talk to me about what lies you where told. Cadet Nex have you made your choice?¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°Sir, I pick Jezz as my second in command, she has the mind and talents of a leader.¡± Said Nex.


    The expression on Jezz¡¯s face was surprised, she turned to Nex and smiled. When Nex and Jezz returned to the watching area. Nex sees that Wilk is staring at him intensely.


    ¡°Hey Nex, does that mean that you and Jezz are a thing?¡± Said Wilk.


    ¡°I don¡¯t know what you mean.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Wilk, as your second in command I have to order you to keep your mind focused at the main task at hand, we are no longer just kids, we have a bigger picture at hand.¡± Said Jezz.


    Wilk and Bez get ready for their part in the test.


    Jezz whispers to Nex ¡°I don¡¯t think Wilk can make it past this test, on Coruscant he could not own a blaster.¡±


    ¡°I think your correct, we will see once they get done, I¡¯m certain the Bez will make it.¡± Said Nex.


    The timer has begun, and Wilk is just standing and waiting for someone to deliver his parts to him. ¡°Cadet Wilk you need to get your parts, or you will fail and be held back.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°No, somebody will deliver me the parts, or my parents will be on the academy like Jawas on lost droids. Nex come and deliver my parts or I will report you.¡± Said Wilk.


    ¡°Wilk you are no longer squad leader, so you need to get your own parts, or you will fail and then we will have someone replace you as a team member. I don¡¯t want that, but we will have to see it is all up to you.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Nex I order you to bring me my parts! NOW.¡± Demanded Wilk.


    Nex gets up and walks over to Bez. ¡°Bez when you are ready you can start, I can work closely with you if you fail on this.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Thanks, Nex, I¡¯m certain I can pass this. I¡¯m glad you¡¯re are squad leader.¡± Said Bez.


    Nex walks past Wilk without a word. ¡°Hey Sir, can me and Jezz talk to you about the next step and what is all going to happen with our squad.¡± Said Nex.


    Tutan Nex and Jezz both walk out the door to discuss the rest of the training process.


    Tutan walks back and Tells Wilk, ¡°Wilk if you don¡¯t take this serious then I will have to send a message to your parents saying that you failed them and you failed the Empire.¡±


    Wilk looks up and sees the face of a Mandalorian that means what he says. Wilk starts to think of how what he said was true. ¡°Sir, I will not fail.¡± He gets back to work with only two minutes left. Nex and Jezz walk back in to see Bez beginning to fire at her targets, she has amped the power on the weapons to make it where the blaster pistols.


    ¡°Bez are those pistols Amped?¡± Asked Jezz.


    ¡°Yes, they are, I saw that Nex had modified his weapons I had the knowledge of doing that for the pistols.¡± Said Bez.


    Wilk is just about to finish but the timer ends, and he puts the blaster down. Nex, Jezz, and Bez walk over to Wilk. ¡°Wilk don¡¯t give up you can do this, you just have to listen to yourself and believe in yourself.¡± Said Nex.


    Tutan who was overhearing the encouragement, ¡°Attention Cadets we have the scores. The highest scores were Nex, Jezz, and Bez. Wilk you did not complete your task, you must do better next time.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°Sir I will I promise.¡± Said Wilk.


    Nex, Jezz, Bez, and Wilk both walk back to the mess hall then afterwards go to their rooms.


    ¡°Hey Squad leader, walk me to my room.¡± Said Jezz.


    ¡°Sure, my lady.¡± Nex replies.


    ¡°So, I saw that you did not charge him after he said that I did not care for you, I do, today you showed true leadership and love, do you think my dad knows of us?¡± Asked Jezz.


    ¡°I think he does but he sees how much I really care for you.¡± Said Nex.


    Jezz stops and thinks. ¡®Nex does really care for me, my dad is the same way. I just hope my dad feels the same way about him.¡¯


    ¡°Jezz come on we are getting close to your room, and if your wondering I love you too, even more.¡± Said Nex.


    After a long day of training the squad lay in bed, Nex and Jezz sit for another hour talking about today and what will happen tomorrow.

 Under siege

    The next morning Nex wakes up to the sound of alarms. Jezz begins to knock loudly on his door. ¡°Nex get up we have a problem; our squad has been told to assemble into our squads. I think we are under attack.¡±


    The door opens up and Wilk Bez and Jezz are standing there with worry on their faces. ¡°Nex we need to go, I heard some chatter that we are getting attacked by a rebel cell with the help from most of the houses here on Mandalor, we need to get our gear and leave fast before something happens to us.¡± Bez said with fear plastered on her face.


    ¡°Okay Bez get me a schematic of the facility I want the fastest route to the armory. Jezz do you know where our commando armor is at?¡± Said Nex.


    Bez quickly brings up a schematic. ¡°Nex we will want to go down the hall, from there we will have to figure out a better way to go.¡± Said Bez.


    ¡°Okay single file line I will go first, Bez, Wilk, and then Jezz. Everybody is okay with that?¡± Asked Nex.


    ¡°Okay, Nex we need to go.¡± Said Jezz.


    Nex gets ready to move but hears movement running up the stairs. ¡°Guys keep quiet we have movement coming from up ahead.¡± Said Nex.


    Four men dressed as stormtroopers with the helmets removed. ¡°We need to find those cadets one of them made contact with us, but we could only track him to this location, we must find Wilk.¡± Said the leader of the group of men. The squad looks at Wilk who has the ¡°I¡¯m sorry face.¡±


    ¡°Wilk, what have you done. Did you contact the rebel cell in the area?¡± asked Bez.


    ¡°I did it because they had given me the position of squad lead for one of their rebel commando groups. I had realized I had made a mistake after getting to know the true side of you guys.¡± Said Wilk.


    ¡°Well what is your plan Wilk?¡± Asked Jezz.


    ¡°I will turn myself over to them, get out of here and get your stuff.¡± Said Wilk.


    Wilk turns to Bez ¡°Bez I know that you hate me, but I thought you were beautiful, I wish I did not make this mistake.¡± Said Bez.


    Wilk walks out and in front of the soldiers looking for him. ¡°you guys looking for me?¡± Asked Wilk.


    ¡°Yes, you need to come with us, before the Imps find us down here and kill us.¡± Said the Rebel squad leader.


    Wilk looks back at the group as he walks away. He looks at Bez and whispers ¡°I¡¯m sorry¡±


    Nex, Jezz, and Bez begin to make their way to the armory.


    ¡°Bez bring up a list of every ship that is in any of the hangers. We will need to find a ship big enough to carry some fighters.¡± Said Nex.


    Bez starts tapping on her wrist data pad. ¡°Nex, they have two Gozanti cruisers that can carry enough fighters for us and one other, also for some reason they have several Kom¡¯rk-class transports.¡± Said Bez.


    ¡°How did they get the Kom¡¯rk-class transports, those things where once used by Death Watch before they were destroyed. Nex I think we should take both and get as much as we can from the armory.¡± Said Jezz.


    Bez looks down on her data pad. ¡°Should we split up?¡± Asked Bez.


    ¡°I think we should stay together so we all don¡¯t get lost also so because the bigger the number the hard it is for us to fall.¡± Said Jezz.


    ¡°Agree that we should stay together. I will lead Jezz you cover our backs; Bez I want you to continue to be our navigator.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex, Jezz and Bez begin to get closer to the armory. ¡°Jezz I think we have company ahead it sounds like the rebels have surrendered up ahead.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex peeks around the corner and sees Commander Tutan and three stormtroopers. Nex looks at Jezz, ¡°Jezz your dad is safe he is with his guards.¡± Said Nex. He looks back and sees Wilk appears behind with the same four men that he had surrendered too.


    ¡°Commander Tutan you are under arrest for war crimes against the rebellion, we demand unconditional surrender.¡± Said Wilk.


    ¡°Cadet Wilk why are you doing this?¡± Asked Tutan.


    ¡°Commander you gave my position to a fool because he cares for your daughter more then anything in the world.¡± Said Wilk.


    Nex looks over at Jezz and Bez and signals them to stay while he saves Commander Tutan. ¡°Nex be safe I know that my dad will not surrender unless we get out of this alive.¡± Whispers Jezz.


    Nex slides into the darkness. Jezz slides over to the corner and sees her father. Commander Tutan looks over and sees her watching with deep sadness. He winks ¡°Cadet Wilk I will surrender only if Jezz can leave here alive.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°That will not happen your daughter will die here on this academy along with the rest of my old squad, they will die because of your mistake, I was to be squad leader only because I was to try and get them to join the rebellion or they would have been killed.¡± Said Wilk.


    Nex then reappears behind Bez and Jezz. ¡°Guys here is your gear but I could only grab one weapon, I will go ahead and save your dad Jezz.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex steps out and yells at Wilk ¡°TRATIOR¡± Wilk looks up and sees Nex standing with the new armor and an assault rifle. ¡°Nex have you came to die?¡± Asked Wilk.


    ¡°No, I came here to stop this, you will not be leaving this place alive, you have my word.¡± Said Nex as he points the blaster towards Wilk. With out hesitation Nex begins to fire and kills two of the four men before the others can fire a single shot.


    ¡°Nex your accuracy is amazing how did you kill those so fast?¡± Asked Wilk.


    ¡°Wilk, I came from a warrior village from a place that you would have never been able to survive in trust me.¡± Said Nex


    Nex begins to move forward and sees Wilk point his weapon at Commander Tutan. ¡°Nex I will kill your beloved Commander Step any closer and he is dead.¡± Said Wilk.


    Nex looks down at Commander Tutan ¡°Commander, Sir are you okay?¡± Asked Nex.


    ¡°Yes, Capitan Nex I¡¯m fine how is the ladies, and Jezz is she still with you?¡± Asked Tutan.


    ¡°Commander everything Wilk has told you is correct I care for your Daughter and she is and will forever be safe.¡± Said Nex.This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.


    ¡°Capitan, I know that you care for her I see they way she looks at you and the same around. I want you to leave me and Wilk alone and get the rest of the Squad out of here it is now safe for you guys to be here.¡±  Said Tutan.


    Commander Tutan puts his hands in front of him and signals a code. ¡°Nex you better leave us be me and the Commander have a lot of business we need to discuss.¡± Said Wilk with a grin.


    ¡°May the Force be With You Commander; your daughter will be safe you have my word.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex then backs away around the corner and sees Bez and Jezz have their armor on. ¡°Jezz your dad has given me the order to back down and retreat, but I have a plan.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Bez try and see what the Commander has hidden away and grab any information that will be viable to our cause and destroy any other important data that could cause more damage to the Empire, Jezz I will go behind and take out the other rebel infiltrators, you distract Wilk and talk to your dad.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Okay, Nex be safe we need you.¡± Said Jezz.


    Bez begins to hack her way into the mainframe. Nex signals to Jezz to begin the distraction. Jezz steps out and looks over to her father. ¡°Dad are you okay?¡± Asked Jezz.


    ¡°Jezz, I gave Nex a direct order to leave and get out of here I demand you to get out of here before Wilk finally snaps and kills us all.¡± Said Tutan.


    Nex slowly begins to come behind Wilk. He whispers, ¡°Hey Wilk look behind you¡±. Wilk turns around and sees the light from Nex¡¯s red visor.


    ¡°Nex you need to leave I gave you all a chance to escape and get away from here.¡± Said Wilk.


    Nex begins to step forward. ¡°Wilk tell your men to put their weapons down or we will shoot.¡± Nex raises his blaster and looks over a Jezz he can see her worry on her face.


    Wilk looks over at Jezz and then back behind him at Nex. ¡°Nex I will kill Commander Tutan if you don¡¯t leave now.¡± Said Wilk.


    ¡°Captain Nex, I will repeat that order, you WILL leave NOW. Get my daughter and Bez to safety you guys must get out alive the Empire needs you all.¡± Said Tutan.


    ¡°Jezz do you hear me?¡± Asked Nex.


    ¡°Nex I hear you, we should listen to my father, if we can get out of here alive we can make a break to a different star system because we are not going to make it out of here if we wait here.¡± Said Jezz.


    Nex keeps thinking ¡®maybe she is right, maybe if we leave now then we can get out of this and begin our lives as Commandos with the little amount of training we have.¡¯ ¡°Jezz I agree get Bez and we shall leave with what information there is on this facility.¡±


    ¡°Bez did you hear the plan?¡± Asked Jezz.


    ¡°I have gotten all the data that I can, we have a lot that we can go on, I¡¯m making my way to the hanger. What is the plan guys?¡± Asked Bez.


    Nex and Jezz meet up outside the hanger door. Jezz hits the button to open the hanger door, the door controls have been locked. ¡°Nex we have a problem our tech specialist, is not here.¡± Said Jezz. Nex goes over to the control panel and plugins Commander Tutan¡¯s code.


    ¡°Nex how did you get my dads code?¡± Asked Jezz.


    ¡°Your dad gave me the code when he gave me the order to get you and Bez out of here.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex hears running coming from behind. ¡°Hello, their Nex and Jezz, I see that you have not made it off Mandalor like ordered too.¡± Said Wilk.


    ¡°What did you do to my father, traitor.¡± Said Jezz.


    ¡°Your father was a stubborn fool, he paid the ultimate price for it all. Jezz he gave me one last order before I killed him. He told me to spare all of your lives, I will respect that just once, after this little meet I will track you down and kill you Nex, for taking my squad from me and Jezz I will give you the Mandalorian death you deserve.¡± Said Wilk.


    The hanger door opens with Bez standing there in her Commando armor. ¡°Nex, Jezz it is time for us to go.¡± Said Bez.


    Nex and Jezz step into the hanger and close the door. Nex and Jezz run into their own ships. Nex takes one of the Gozanti and places explosives on the other. Jezz and Bez get the Kom¡¯rk-class transports. Nex grabs four Tie Advanced fighters.


    ¡°Jezz, Bez, are you guys ready to get out of here?¡± Asked Nex.


    ¡°We are all good squad leader.¡± Said Jezz and Bez in unison.


    ¡°Nex we need to get out of here because I also alerted the nearest Imperial fleet and gave them orders to take back this academy or to destroy it.¡± Said Bez.


    Nex opens the hanger and sees several star destroyers being attacked by the rebel cell in the area. ¡°Bez did you tell the Imperials that we are the only survivors?¡± Asked Jezz.


    ¡°I told them that we are escaping in three ships, they know and will let us aboard the nearest star destroyer. We have been given an entire hanger to land at and will be our main landing hub until we get our first assignment.¡± Said Bez.


    The group begin to head towards the star destroyer. ¡°What should we call ourselves? I was thinking the dark ones.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Or we can call ourselves Delta squad, like the republic secret hero squad.¡± Said Jezz.


    ¡°We can talk about this later, Nex the Star Destroyer captain wants to talk with you.¡± Said Bez.


    ¡°Okay send him through¡­ Captain this is Delta¡¯s squad leader how may we help you.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°I need your squad to help defend our troop transports to their destination so they can grab important data from that academy and so we can evac our base that is set to be destroyed from an orbital bombardment.¡± Said the Captain.


    ¡°Captain we will help with the evac process, we are heading to the base. Tell your men to not go to the academy we have a rogue commando operative that is trained to kill and disguise himself as anybody.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Copy that Commander, recalling units from the academy. We will keep all of those from the academy in a shuttle until we are finished with the other evacuations.¡± Said the Captain.


    ¡°Captain I¡¯m not a commander, I¡¯m just a regular captain like you.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°No sir, you have been promoted to commander by Moff Raythe he is in charge of the fleet that has came and rescued you. You are commander of Delta squad, Moff Raythe will talk to you later on your next assignment.¡± Said the Captain.


    The rest of Delta squad head over to the base that is under orders to evacuate. ¡°Jezz I need you to head over towards the northern barracks, Bez take the western barracks, I will take the ones in the clearing.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex lands and lowers the ramp and runs down the ramp to get the men aboard. ¡°I¡¯m Commander Nex from Commando group Delta, I¡¯m here to evacuate as many people as I can this base is going to be destroyed from an orbital strike that is coming down in no time.¡± Said Nex. Several Imperials run aboard, the Stormtroopers cover the ramp for Rebels.


    ¡°Hey Corporal, get your men aboard I have other Commandos picking up on the Northern and Western side of the base. If anybody is still alive they will be picked up, we need to leave or us and this base will be turned to dust.¡± Said Nex.


    The Corporal radios in ¡°Stormtrooper Alpha, Bravo, and Specialist group Zulu we are retreating. Respond with your location so we can fly over and pick you up.¡± Said the Corporal.


    Nex turns to the communication array and radios Jezz and Bez ¡°Jezz, Bez return to the ship I have a stubborn group that don¡¯t want to retreat.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Nex, just leave them, they knew the risk of not retreating. Return to the ship.¡± Said Bez.


    ¡°I will not leave anybody behind especially a special forces group. We need to rescue them.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Nex they are not responding we need our Commander to come to the ship the other shuttles can grab them if they are still alive the Rebels have also allied with the civilians escaping breaking into the base.¡± Said Jezz.


    Nex starts to takeoff when the Corporal comes into the cockpit. ¡°Commander Nex what are you doing we have men on the ground still.¡±


    ¡°I have to get these men out of here before anything else happens. This is my ship I¡¯m in charge here you sit back down and shut up.¡± Said Nex.


    The Corporal turns back around and sits down. ¡°Jezz alert the Dauntless that we might have a turn coat.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Roger that Nex, I will alert security to have men search everybody that comes off that vessel.¡± Said Jezz.


    As Nex approaches he sees Jezz and Bez both getting men to form a squad and come aboard the vessel. ¡°I need everybody to form a single file line you will be scanned and be free to go. Also, I need the Corporal that was giving me orders to step forward.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex hits the release to lower the ramp. Jezz and Bez and the men that was to come and scan came aboard to grab any rebel infiltrators. ¡°Jezz can you grab Corporal here and bring him to the brig for questioning. Also make sure these men scan these guys to make sure no rebels have gotten through to the ship.¡± Said Nex.


    Nex makes his way to the bridge to talk with Moff Raythe. ¡°Moff Raythe, I¡¯m Commando Nex of Delta squad.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Ah, welcome Commander Nex we are glad to have you aboard, this will be your new home until told otherwise. We have cleared out an entire hanger for you and your men. I understand we have a problem with the Corporal that you picked up from the base?¡± Said Moff Raythe.


    ¡°Yes sir, the Corporal put everybody on that vessel and would not board until I had dragged him aboard. I sent him to the brig for also trying to force me to pick up others that had been killed, so I stunned him, and my squad has taken him to the brig. I have also gotten some men to scan everybody that came from the base, I have a feeling some of them are Rebel infiltrators.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Very good Commander, I¡¯m giving you permission to do as you wish aboard the dauntless until you are stationed on a different ship.¡± Said Moff Raythe.


    ¡°Thank you, sir.¡± Said Nex.


    ¡°Dismissed Commander.¡± Said Moff Raythe.


    Nex goes back to the hanger where Delta squad will be using as a base. He opens the door and sees that Jezz and Bez have already began moving stuff around to their liking. ¡°Jezz we are going to be on Mandalor for a little longer our first mission is to find the rebel cell and to gave intel on how they had gotten in the academy and what else they had taken.¡± Said Nex.
