    It was just another day at the beautiful beach of Kiap. Bright sun and almost no clouds. It was fully packed and there were many people loitering around it. Some were surfing, some were building sand castles while others just enjoyed the sun and sea breeze.

    Out of all the people there was one odd one out.

    She was wearing a jacket in the hot sun and jeans that didn''t match well with her jacket. She seemed to be about 16 years old. A makeup less face that looked good even without it.

    They thought there was something wrong with her but no one asked. After all it had nothing to do with them also she wasn''t even talking.

    She walked and walked until the crowd got lesser and lesser. After walking around for a long time aimlessly until there was no crowd in front of her.

    Her eyes which seemed dull until now finally became clear. It was like she suddenly gained consciousness with an electric shock.

    Her eyes became damp and her legs felt powerless. She fell to her knees and started crying. Her tears fell like rain and she kept wailing.

    Anyone who looked at her frail body and image right now would feel pity on her.

    Suddenly a white streak appeared in the sky and looked like it was coming towards the ground. It looked like it was coming towards the ground near the girl, about a 50 meter away. As it came closer toward the ground it looked to be slowing down.

    The girl had still not noticed this and was still in her own world. The white streak of light looked like a person and stopped at 50 metres above the ground. Then it started falling again and fell down with a bang.

 Chapter 2

    The planet of Mooyoon consists of 3 continents. It''s not like how the stupid humans explain in their stupid books that one continent is for humans another is for demons and another is for devils. All the continents have humans.

    That is so stupid. But I still read the books. Anyway ¡­ it was believed that this world was created by gods, and many gods existed even now. All of this became myths and legends to the humans later on and now there aren''t any people who believe in God''s.

    But gods of course exist, there are many things that cannot be explained by those puny humans. I am one of those things and also proof that gods exist. After all I am a god myself.

    But now I was falling down from the sky at such a high speed that I don''t even have the time to shout. You all should be wondering why I am falling like an idiot when I am a God. After all Gods are omnipotent and powerful, how could a stupid thing like falling from the sky happen?

    There are 15 official gods that govern different things. I myself govern many things like- light, music and many things. It''s a pain to explain all the things that gods govern but I''ll tell some.

    My father the strongest and supposedly king of all gods governs the sky, lightening, wind, horses and a lot. My mom¡­ well she no longer exists so I won''t talk about it. I have many uncles and aunties and some brothers and sisters that are the main gods.

    The humans don''t know about the gods but they are the beings that have the most population.

    Now that some things are clear let''s go back in time by two months.

    There are also a lot of monsters and other beings but humans can''t see them. My aunt illusionare, one of the 15 main gods takes care of it.     When some fights happen she is the one who covers it up and takes care of it.

    So, two months ago there was a fight between the gods and the devil dragon king. This dragon was sleeping for two thousand years because of a seal. But he suddenly woke up. This dragon is pure evil and the only thing it likes to do is destroy. Why would Gods care for such a stupid dragon?

    Well¡­. This dragon is not an ordinary one. It was the first dragon born in existence and is made up of pure evil. The gods finally suppressed it two thousand years ago and made him sleep. Yes that''s right we can''t kill it.

    You heard it. Gods are strong but it''s not like we can control everything and be so powerful that no one can stop us. But we are a lot powerful.

    The evil dragon came out of the place we sealed it and started destroying things of course. And of course there was a fight between gods and the dragon and it''s accomplices. And of course the gods won. We aren''t just Gods in name after all. We also had a lot of Gods on our side.

    So, what has all this got to do with me? I had an apprentice who I was teaching my light techniques and how to attack. I wasn''t really attached to the guy and just taught him occasionally.

    Even if I taught him occasionally, the skills that gods use are powerful than any other techniques. The guy was using protection from the evil dragon to mask his true thoughts and helped in breaking the seal to wake that stupid dragon up.

    My light skills played a major role in weakening the seal to wake him up. I don''t really know the details but because the devil dragon represents pure darkness and I represent pure light, the energy combined and caused some major damage to the seal. Also after he broke the seal through some other methods, he swallowed and absorbed my apprentice to get his light powers.

    Not only did this not cause damage to him but he became a lot stronger so the gods suffered some major casualties. And like always, we couldn''t kill it so we had to seal him again and my dad used his most powerful weapon the Gods wrath to seal him up.

    Well this time we definitely sealed him up for good but some people took my father for a pushover and tried to kill him to gain his position.

    This was because he gave up his strongest weapon to steal that stupid dragon. But my father''s title as the strongest god was not only in name and he sent everyone packing.

    At last we had a meeting and my father decided that he will punish me for my carelessness while choosing a proper apprentice.

    Of course my father knew full well that this was not my fault, as even he would have not been able to see through my apprentice. Also there were many people who contributed to this mess. Like any god could go up and check on the evil dragon once in a while to see if the seal was proper but we turned too lazy to check on it and we payed for it.

    But someone had to take the blame and that someone just happened to be me. So he sent me to Earth to redeem myself. He stripped me of all my powers and sent me immediately.

    He made me know what a meteorite feels like while falling on Earth. Then I felt I was slowing down while reaching the ground. For the first time in my life I felt that my dad was not bad but that thought immediately vanished as I started falling again and fell on the beach.

 Chapter 3

    Hey guys! It¡¯s my third day at Kashmir. This place has snow by the way. It''s really beautiful. There are gardens everywhere and it''s a really beautiful place. I am going to snow area now. Again if you want to see anything just comment down below.

    ¡°Ahhhhhh!!¡±.

    I fell down and screamed like an idiot.

    After getting up with great difficulty I checked the place where I was in. I saw a girl seated down with red eyes looking as if she had cried.

    She had shock all over her face.

    She started shouting suddenly and covered her face with one hand and started throwing stones with another.

    She was still shouting.

    ¡°Stop it now you damn earthling or I will shoot you down with my .. Ouch!¡±

    I couldn''t take it anymore so I decided to kill her now.

    I cursed that damn old man again in my mind again. I don''t have my divine light!!

    I finally noticed what was wrong! I didn''t have any clothes on!

    After another hundred curses to that old geezer in my mind, I ran toward her trying to snatch her jacket.

    Before fainting I saw her looking at her fist and had a disgusted expression her face like she just touched some shit. Damn woman!

    I got up groggily and tried to get up but a sharp pain came down from below. I laid down again.

    I looked up in the sky and felt sorry for myself who now had such a weak body¡­.

    ¡° Wait¡­ WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE SUCH A WEAK BODY?!!¡±

    Even though that baldy had taken away my powers he should have given me some powers!! I mean hadn''t my uncle the god of ocean and winds been exiled to earth before. He was still given some of his powers!

    Just when I was thinking of important things an annoying voice which I would not like to hear came into my ears.

    I finally got up and looked at that place. She kept her jacket there to cover it up. Even though she kept her jacket there I didn''t feel bad at all, it should be her honour to help a God!

    ¡°I? Haha haha ¡­.. can''t you tell from my handsome face? I am the great God BENZA! The god of all light and music and many more things.¡±

    She stayed silent for a while and gently furrowed her brows before saying..

    I don''t know what she is talking about but it seems kind of bad but I''ll chose to ignore it. I tied the jacket around my waist before going to the beach.

    Two hours later-

    While I still couldn''t believe reality and was still cursing that old baldy the woman was took me to a store while she bought me some clothes.

    I didn''t have time to think how disgraceful it was for a woman to buy me clothes and they were of bad quality as well. She kept saying some things about being well and she was telling me about some nonsense that she¡¯ll take me to the doctor or something.

    I didn''t pay attention to it. I had tried everything I had in my arsenal but nothing worked. That old baldy had literally stripped me of my powers.

    ¡°Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!¡±

    I let out an angry shout in grief. The girl next to me  who was talking suddenly stopped in shock.

    I ran away. Yes a god ran away after just losing his powers. I, who had lost myself with grief ran away. There were too many people on the street. My eyes showed shock and horror. How was I going to live without anything to hold on to?

 Chapter 4

    I ran.. and ran.. and ran.. I don''t know how far I had ran or where I was running to. It was getting dark, the streets were bustling. People kept on chirping and many stalls outside were selling things. Cars were honking and there were two wheelers which were trying to get through the traffic.

    I was still running, I couldn''t pay attention to my surroundings. It was as if my senses had gone numb. My blood was flowing at a faster rate than normal. My legs were hurting. The soles of my feet were feeling painful as well as itchy.

    Some people would look at my way and then turned their gaze away. It was as if it had nothing to do with them. My face was filled with horror. ''what is going on?!'' Why is this happening?

    I ran into a small black alley, there were houses surrounding it. They were old and looked weird. There were garbage bins which gave of a foul stench.

    In front of me was a wall. I could easily break it and keep on running if I still had my powers. I gave the wall a punch but I had forgotten that I had lost my powers. The hard punch I had given to the wall had been for naught. My fist hurt. ''HURT'', a word rather rarely used by me.

    The only time I had used that word would have to be while I was fighting that dragon.

    My body felt powerless. My legs felt numb and I was gasping for air. I fell on my buttocks and started breathing harshly. My mind was on chaos.

    All of these sensations that I had never felt before came rushing into me. It felt suffocating.

    If I was to describe my situation right now to make people feel how I really felt right now, it would be like a billionaire who had suddenly become bankrupt, lost all his money and assets, getting robbed of his identity and all this happened in the blink of an eye. No time to even think properly.

    My mind is in chaos. I didn''t know what to do.

    It felt like I had been robbed of everything that I had.

    My father had given me a mission. As a god naturally the mission would not be ordinary. I had never been in such a pitiful condition so I didn''t know what to do.

    Gradually I quietened down. My mind felt blank. I was not able to think anything. That was when I heard a sweet voice.

    ¡°Hey what are you doing here? Why did you run away so suddenly? Are you alright?¡±

    I looked at her face with eyes which seemed kinda dull.

    ¡°Ah! You''re hand is hurt! Oh my god. It seems quite bad. You have to check it up at a hospital.¡±

    She was the girl he had met on the beach. Her face had a worried look. I bet I looked very haggard right now. She still looked worried, it looked sincere. Her worry was like a ray of light during my darkness.

    ¡°Weren''t you energetic back at the beach? Why are you so frail now? Come on let''s go.¡±

    She took my hand and pulled at it to lift me up. I felt weird. Since my birth nobody had looked at me with worried eyes. It felt good but I also felt angry and showed displeasure on my face.

    ¡°Who do you think you are!! Why did you follow me here?! Let go! Disgusting woman just leave me alone!! Where are you planning on taking me?!¡±

    I shook my hand out of hers and shouted at her to relieve my frustration a bit.

    ¡°You!! How can you call me disgusting?! I was only trying to help! You are the one who is disgusting! You were the one who suddenly appeared on the beach naked!¡±

    She also got angry this time, seems like she doesn''t like being called disgusting.

    I felt anger boil up inside me. How dare she call me disgusting! I would have killed her if I still had my powers!

    ¡°You don''t want to go? FINE. Don''t go.¡±

    She stormed off before I could say anything else.

    I was alone again in this small, stinking alley.

    I sat down again and tried to recall what had happened thus far.

    I fell on a beach and met an idiotic women. I was sure I would still have some of my powers so I thought I would succeed in this mission but it doesn''t seem so. I started thinking of stupid things and fell into despair and felt some human things.

    ¡®Looks like being in a human body corroded my mind a little bit¡¯. ¡°Haha haha". I laughed at my stupidity.

    I had done something shameful and felt a little regretful. I also felt sad when that girl/woman left. I was not able to think clearly.

    ¡°Now there is only one way I could solve this. Though I didn''t want to go there, my only hope at succeeding in the mission is to go. I don''t even know what the mission is.¡±

    Time to go. After lifting myself up, I started to walk out of the alley.

 Chapter 5

    I stood up and drew a circle. Well I couldn''t because I didn''t have anything to draw a circle with.

    ¡°Aaaaaaaarrrrghh!.¡±

    I was feeling so frustrated right now. Fuck you old geezer! I hope your face gets destroyed!

    This body did not have a single penny on it. The only thing I could do now was ¡®borrow¡¯.

    I walked out of the idiotic smelly street and walked for a while till I found a stationary.

    ¡°Aha! Just what I needed.¡±

    Saying this I walked into the store. It was kinda small. A worker walked up to me and asked-

    ¡°Ahem, what do you need sir.¡±

    ¡°Oh I need a pen and a paper.¡±

    ¡°Oh yes surely sir, please wait for a while.¡±

    He dare ask a god to wait!! Oh well he is going to give a pen and paper so I don''t really mind.

    He came back after a few seconds and handed me the pen and paper.

    ¡°Hmph! This will do, ugh what a low quality pen. But time is of the essence. Human I will remember your contribution. When I get back my powers I will give you the most beautiful pen on Mooyoon!¡±

    The stupid human looked troubled and confused. He seemed to be doubting a god! I will give him only the second best pen in the world now!

    ¡°Umm¡­ sir, are you alright? Please head to counter sir.¡±

    Choosing to ignore him I just walked out.

    A loud noise which sounded like a fart was given off by a car which arrived near me.

    Instead of getting disgusted I got half happy and half disgusted.

    The door of the car magically opened but it looked like it would fall off after a few more of those magical openings.

    I got into the car and sat down.

    ¡°Hahahahaaha, welcome aboard on the underworld car! Where to esteemed customer!¡±

    The inside the car smelt wired and there were skeletons hanging here and there.

    ¡°To the demigod¡¯s paradise!¡±

    Oh and if I didn''t mention it before, I''ll mention it now. The underworld car was the one and only in the world and had three old skeletons controlling it. And if that isn''t enough, the old skeleton grannies had two eye sockets but only one eye.

    Now you might ask- if they are skeletons why do you know they are grannies? Well they wear granny clothes! That''s why!

    ¡°Hey old hag give me your eye and let me complete my eye set.¡±

    And if you still want more these three grannies keep fighting for each other''s eyes all the time.

    The car started flying in the air and lifted off toward demigod¡¯s palace.

    The granny who was steering tried to grab the other granny¡¯s eye and turned the steering too much.

    ¡°Aaaaahh you old hag watch the steering.¡±

    Said hag no 2 while trying to snatch hag no 1¡¯s eye.

    This almost caused us to crash!

    ¡°You pile of bones watch where you''re going!¡±

    Although I want afraid of such small things, my body was very weak right now!

    ¡°Hahahahaha¡± hag no 3 laughed while watching hag no 1 and 2 fight.

    While I was shouting like a idiot we finally reached demigod¡¯s palace after five hours.

    People under me always used to say that the underworld car was not a good choice while travelling. Now I knew why!

    The hags know nothing but trying to snatch each other''s eyes.

    The first thing I did after getting out was puke.

    ¡°Okey dokey young man that will be 78 underworld coins.¡±

    ¡°You pile of weakened bones! After giving this god such a terrible ride you dare ask this great god money?!¡±

    The old hags looked at each other and smiled creepily.

    ¡°You? God?¡±

    The pointed their bony fingers at me asked me in a wired tone.

    ¡°Haha haha, we are Queens of underworld!¡±

    At this moment I realised that I had fucked up.

    ¡°Get him!¡±

    I ran towards the two huge trees which were about a hundred meters afar from me.

    That was the entrance. Just a few meters and I would get there.

    Those three pile of bones also ran behind me.

    Suddenly those trees shook as if they had come to life and whipped their branches on me.

    I had fucked up yet again¡­..

    I ran and tried to dodge while facing my impending doom.

    Whip!

    As the sound came to me with three other whip sounds I was blasted away.

 Chapter 6

    ¡°UUGHHH¡­.¡±

    I was blasted off and flew like a bullet because of the force. I rolled for some time before coming to a stop far away from the two trees.

    There was a large patch of land around the trees and thankfully there weren''t many obstacles around here. Those trees sure whip people hardly.

    I felt like I had turned into meat paste with dust and mud everywhere on my body.

    ''am I dying?¡¯

    ''Dying doesn''t feel good. Damn that old man for giving me such a weak body.¡¯

    I opened my eyes slightly. It felt as if all of my ribs were broken. My legs aren''t placed as they were supposed to. They were inverted.

    ''Fuck¡­.¡¯

    I looked at the two malicious trees that had whipped me to oblivion. When I get my powers back, the first thing I would do will be to blast those trees into tiny pieces.

    There seemed to be a statue near the trees. It looked like my nasty war loving aunt. It was supposed to identify people so they could enter the Demigod¡¯s paradise.

    ''Damn nasty aunt!¡¯

    If only she had identified my existence I wouldn''t be whipped!

    The statue¡¯s eyes seemed to glow for a second. Fuck I can''t take it anymore. I stare at my aunt grudgingly before going into deep slumber.

    ¡°It''s all because of you!¡±

    Said someone while pointing at me.

    ¡°You are the one who caused this war!¡±

    Said another while shouting at me.

    ¡°Was it just your apprentice or did you also help the evil dragon?¡±

    Said someone with a look that said- I was waiting for you to mess up.

    People shouted their beloveds names while throwing objects at me with tears in their eyes.

    The voice which sounded like an old man came into my ears.

    The old man made me get up slowly while resting my back on a cushion

    I took the glass from the old man and had everything he gave me.

    At least my right hand was kinda fine.

    After gulping down the water I looked at my surroundings. I was in a room that was made of wood completely. The room was very tiny (in terms of God). It had one table, one bed and some chairs here and there.

    Everything was wood even the glass I drank water in.

    ¡°Where am I old man?¡±

    ¡°You have got quite the tongue young man! Haha haha. You''re at the demigods paradise or what''s known as demigods palace. This place¡­.¡±

    Before he could explain where I was I cut him off.

    ¡°Save the trouble old man, I need get to the witch and I need your help.¡±

    The old man looked surprised and looked at me with curious eyes.

    ¡°You know about the witch?¡±

    ¡°Hmph this god knows many thing old fool. Things which you can''t even comprehend!¡±

    The old man looked at little troubled after I said that. Well you should be! After all I the great God should receive more hospitality.

    ¡°Umm¡­ I see okay.¡±

    He took out something from his pocket and whispered something that I couldn''t hear.

    ¡°Oh yes ¡­ he''s gotten up¡­ yes I was taking care of him properly¡­. Yes he''s fine but it''ll take time to recover¡­.. I think he received some brain damage though¡­ yes it''s quite serious ¡­ and he knows about the witch somehow.¡±

    After sometime he came back to me.

    ¡°Oh, the headmaster of demigods paradise is going to arrive, remember to behave in front of him.¡±

    He said while smiling at me.

    What the fuck?! Me being polite?! Fuck you!

    I was about to say something but a person entered this room interrupting my train of thoughts.

    It was a well built man with two horns on his head. He wore a formal suit and looked like a old noble. Purple eyes which looked like an endless fog. He had an aura which shouted ''Noble!¡¯ all around him.

    ¡°Headmaster!¡±

    The old man quickly bowed while showing respect.

    The guy with purple eye was Brook. A weird name for a weird guy

    ¡°Hmph Brook, you look well.¡±

    For a moment Brook¡¯s eyes showed shock. Probably because I knew his name.

    But it reverted back to his cold look again. He waved with his hand signalling the old man to go out.

As for the location of the witch, I''ll tell it to you but you won''t be able to do anything even if you knew. The witch always stays at dangerous locations and given your current state you won''t be able to find her.¡±

    He looked at me strangely while squinting his eyes.

    ¡°Helpers? You mean the demigods? You will have to ask for help yourself.¡±

 Chapter 7

    Brook-

    Sigh~

    I am Brook, the headmaster of the demigod¡¯s palace or paradise, whatever you want to call it.

    This place as it goes by it¡¯s name is for demigods. Of course this place if filled with demigods.

    The term ''demigod¡¯ may sound strong but it¡¯s nothing good, rather it''s more like burden. There are all kinds of demigods at demigod¡¯s palace. Half human-half god, Half mermaid- Half god, Half demon- Half god and much more. Humans were the most of them and also the weakest with the most potential. You could say that humans are the most remarkable demigods. Even against the evil dragon they were the ones that helped the most. While most of the Dragods ( Half Dragon- Half God) chose to side with the evil dragon.

    Just when I thought i would have some free time, another notice was sent from the higher ups.

    ''Benza will come to Mooyoon.¡¯

    More like a notice. ''Benza¡¯, just this word amplified my headache by ten times. He was probably taking the blame this time around. I kind of sympathize with him. I mean, I was in a similar situation once.

    The door opened and my assistant came in while I was reading the damned notice.

    ¡°Sir, the Andred statue had allowed a person to get inside. He is in a serious condition right now and it would take some time to recover as he was hit by the nature trees.¡±

    My assistant Marsh reported the unusual happenings of the palace for today as I was trying to heal my headache.

    ¡°Marsh bring me some coffee.¡±

    After I finished my coffee I got up from my table and got out of my office. My assistant was following me around as I roamed around the demigod¡¯s paradise.

    ¡°Marsh, how''s the new lad?¡± i asked suddenly when we were at the training camp. I could hear loud noises and sounds of metal crashing into each other.

    ¡°There were no signs of divinity on him. But as the Andred statue had given him the permission to enter, he must be a demigod of a far off descendant of the mortal world.¡±

    The Andred statue was situated outside the palace and gave permission for people to enter. You can only enter if you are a demigod or authorized personnel at the palace. Of course there was security near the entrance and if the person entered with evil intentions he would be struck down by the defence mechanisms and guards.

    ¡°I see¡­¡±

    Then it was not really a big matter. The more the blood of God within a being the more powerful he would be, since he is just ordinary there won''t be a fuss at the campus.

    The demigods paradise was actually a training ground for demigods who were young or a place for demigods to settle down and live their life out.

    The trainers were of different races and all sorts of people gathered here especially the demigods. This place was not called paradise because it was beautiful or it had everything you wanted. It was simply because it was safer than the outside world.

    The demigods and their offsprings are not as strong as they sound and needed time to mature. If a demigod was not registered at the demigods palace and roamed outside he would be hunted by monsters endlessly. A demigod is just like a fat piece of meat for monsters. When registered at the palace it meant that you were being protected and the monsters would sense it instinctively and would not attack them.

    Even so the outside world was full of dangers for the demigods and it was not advisable for a demigod to be outside the palace without adequate training.

    While I watched the young generation practice I was reminded of my younger days. A 998 year old man like me has nothing better to do than to reminiscence about the past.

    The days went by and a very quickly, two months went by and summer arrived. Just when I was relaxing in my study while watching some football on television my communicating rock started glowing. It was a form of communication in the palace that was similar to a phone in the mortal world. Phones were not used at the paradise because radio signals didn''t work here.

    I picked it up from my table and pressed a button on it.

    ¡°Hello ¡­. He woke up?.... Were you taking care of him?.... Is he alright?..... Is it serious? ¡­. What? He knows about the witches? OK I''ll be coming over there right now.¡±

    I wasn''t really interested in the guy before but I felt pretty curious about him now. This guy took 2 months to just get up with all the high tech medicine at the palace. He was also very similar to a human. In other words, he was the worst demigod I had ever seen.

    As the headmaster I had to at least show my face to the new member so I walked to the medical rooms and entered the room where the new recruit was.

    After entering I was surprised yet again.

    ¡°Hmph Brook, you look well.¡±

    Not because he knew my name but because when I scanned him I found out his soul was a God¡¯s. Thousands of thoughts went through my head and I realized that this guy in front of me might just be Benza. And my headache resurfaced.

    I sent the old worker away and talked with him for a while. After some exchange of sentences I understood that he was here for a mission but he didn''t know what it was so he had to find the witch. He also had lost his powers so he needed help.

    Hmph. I coldly snorted inside. If this guy thinks it will be so easy for a ''GOD¡¯ to ask help from demigods after all the mess they caused he had to think again.

    ¡°Helpers? You mean the demigods? You will have to ask for help yourself.¡±

 Chapter 8

    ¡°what? I have to ask them myself? Well that''s not much of a problem, after all I need their help to find the witch.¡±

    Although I am unwilling to ask help myself, I need to find the witch as fast as I can. I need to get out of this wretched body!

    Brook shows a shocked expression for a second before reverting back to his cold expression.

    ¡°It''s quite a shocker that you want to ask help yourself. Just rest for now, with the state you''re in, even if they agree to help it would be of no use.¡±

    He is right but¡­..

    ¡°How much time till I recover.¡± I asked.

    He paused for a moment before speaking- ¡°2 weeks for a full recovery and another week for getting back to full strength. Even though I say full strength.. there is no divinity on your body. So, your so called full strength isn''t much.¡±

    ¡°Shut up¡­..¡±

    I wanted to find a dig a burrow and bury myself there right now.

    ¡°Oh yes! For the 2 week I recover why don''t you shift me to a better medicinal facility?¡±

    Brook lifted one of his eyebrow before replying-

    ¡°No, at the palace everyone receives equal treatment. In other words this is the best we have so bear with it.¡±

    I frown as the old man who has been taking care of me give me a vial. The vial was golden colour and looking at it people would be mesmerized by the shine.

    But why did I have such a reaction? Because it''s medicine. Demi god medicine, the best medicine for physical injuries obtained after battles. Thinking about it, demigod medicine is supposed to be great but it wasn¡¯t. I was actually the god of medicine but it was in name only. I handed over the duties of God of medicine to my subordinate, Alex.

    Well¡­ sure demigod medicine had amazing healing properties and this was especially true for demigods but it smelled worse than sewers and tasted more bitter than ginger. It tasted like a mix of pepper, cardamom and other inedible things. So if you want to try it out go ahead.

    It looked good on the outside but was like shit on the inside.

    ¡°Sigh~ I know it doesn''t taste good but you have to take it. This is the last day and after this you can walk like normal but it''ll take some time to get back to your peak condition. This is the last dose so you better take it.¡±

    I frown and with difficulty I slowly stretch my hand out and hold the vial. There is a cork on the vial and once it is removed¡­. The hell will start.

    ¡°Just the words-¡¯doesn''t taste good¡¯ cannot begin to describe this.¡±

    ¡°Gulp¡±

    I look at it like it''s my worst enemy. Well it is actually. When I gain my powers again the first thing I would do would be to scold that Alex for creating such a stupid medicine.

    When I was about to open the cork, Bruce ran away and was going to get out of the room.

    Bruce was the old man''s name. He didn''t like being called old man all the time so he asked me to call him by his name instead.

    ¡°Not today Bruce!¡±

    Bruce always tried to run away after making sure that I was going to eat the medicine. The reason? Well¡­ the moment you open the cork, the smell that comes out of it is enough to make everyone around it suffocate. Even after all the years of working at the palace, Bruce was still not used to the smell.

    I quickly opened the cork and closed my nose.

    ¡°Ugh¡±

    Both of us let out a defeated sound. Bruce quickly opened the door and closed it with a bang before disappearing to somewhere.

    I quickly drank everything in the vial while trying my hardest not to vomit. It tasted so bad that I preferred eating shit than this.

    ¡°Wuck!¡±

    After finishing it, I tried my best not to vomit and concentrate on sleeping. Soon powerlessness came over me and I fell asleep. Another one of demigod medicines flaws. It makes you fall asleep not long after you have taken it but it could also be called a good thing for me. At least I don''t have to keep thinking about how bad it tasted.

    I got up the next day, the sunshine from the window nearby greeted me. It was quite warm since summer had started.

    The Last few night were just horrible. Just thinking about that damned medicine gave me a stomach ache.

    Yawn~

    I got up from my bed and stretched my body.

    ¡°Finally! I can move!¡±

    Although I got up quite awkwardly and I couldn''t control my legs properly, I was happy that I was finally able to move. My body hurt since I hadn''t moved it from quite some time.

    ¡°Ouch! Damn weak body¡­. If I still had my own body this much of injury would be nothing.¡±

    While I got up and tried to move my body properly the door opened.

    ¡°Goodmorning, esteemed sir. Here¡¯s your breakfast.¡±

    Bruce walked in while holding some kind of soup and some bread with a fried omelette.

    Looking at the food, saliva was being produced in my mouth endlessly. These past 14 days the only thing I could eat was that damned medicine. While eating it you would be filled with energy so there was no need for food. Moreover you are not allowed to eat anything while taking the demigods medicine.

    I ran to him and snatched the tray from him and started gulping it down as soon as it arrived.

    Bruce just watched me while grinning.

    Nom.. nom ... nom

    ¡°I never knew soup with bread and omelette tasted so good!¡±

    ¡°Hahahhaha- Lord, it is just because you haven''t eaten anything for 14 days.¡±

    I just ate everything and walked out in my patient type clothes.

    Outside the wooden room there were many trees in the area and there was a road in which many other wooden houses were built.

    The amount of wooden houses couldn''t be counted just with your eyes. There were many people wearing armour and going into the rooms while some carried people with armour on a stretcher to the rooms.

    I saw Brook standing outside of the wooden house I was in under the tree.

    ¡°You look well.¡± He said.

    ¡°Yeah, I recovered quite a bit.¡± My voice sounded hurried.

    ¡°Brook about asking help¡­.¡±

    ¡°Benza you would have to wait for it. The kids just had a training session and are injured. We¡¯ll discuss about it in the night. Why don''t I show you around the palace for now?¡±

 chapter 9

    ¡°They are recovering?¡± I asked with disappointment apparent in my voice.

    ¡°Yes, it can¡¯t be helped. They have a training session every other day, it helps them get stronger. While some do get injured, its just a matter of time before they recover.¡±

    I was disappointed because I couldn¡¯t come into contact with them immediately but there are still things that can be done by that time.

    ¡°Let¡¯s go to the search orb.¡± I said.

    ¡°Sure¡­. But it¡¯ll quite a lot of time to walk till there.¡±

    ¡°Then give me a tour of the place till we arrive, after all I have never been here before.¡± When I was a god I had a lot of work to do (not). So, I didn¡¯t really have the luxury to be visiting places. The demigod palace was a unique place so I was quite curious about it since I had never been here.

    ¡°Follow me. This is the medicinal center where people are taken to if they are injured. You must be quite familiar with the place since you were medicated here.¡±

    He started walking down the road while his hands were behind his back.

    ¡°If we keep walking towards your back, my office arrives. Since there is nothing to see there I won¡¯t show it to you. The demigod paradise also ends with my office. My office is the center of the palace and the medical facility is closest to it.¡±

    After walking for some time, we arrived arrived at a similar place to the medicinal facility.

    ¡°This place is the cabin. Its where those demigods stay. It¡¯s similar to the medicinal facility but its different from the inside.¡±

    We kept on walking again till we reached a open space.

    ¡°This place is like an assembly center, also the dining hall. Left to this place is the equipment area and forging space. Right to here are the training grounds. Do you want go there or should we continue onward?¡±

    As Brook asked me I thought of something.

    ¡°Yes! That¡¯s it! I should be able to do at least this much!¡±

They shot arrows as fast as bullets and the sword training was very intense. It looked like if your attention was taken away for a moment your head would be chopped off.

    I walked to the archery space to try archery.

    ¡°Benza, I advise you not to try out archery. I know why you are trying it out but¡­.¡±

    ¡°I am the god of archery! How can I not know some of it! I used it to shoot at that evil dragon¡¯s eye! Even if my divine powers went away I should still know archery!

    I cut Brook off before he could finish and took a bow from the stand. All the demigods were watching me while I shouted. They looked at me like I was a lunatic. Hahahaha! I will show you all!

    ¡°UGH!¡±

    It took me quite some effort to hold the bow properly. Brook looked at me weirdly as I tried to bring an arrow to the bow.

    ¡°Hahaha! Its just because my body got weaker. Watch how I perfectly hit at the center!¡±

    I finally got into proper position and pulled on the bowstring with the arrow.

    Piiiing~

    I smiled confidently while the arrow shot towards the target. I imagined how the arrow would be impaled at the center of the target but dreams always get crushed by reality. The arrow travelled only halfway before it struck the ground.

    ¡°I-it cannot be¡­.¡±

    I took another arrow and shot it again. Failed again. I kept on shooting until I came back to reality with a Grrr~. My stomach growling that is. I noticed that the people around me kept calling me a ¡®determined failure¡¯. I didn¡¯t bother about that but I was in my own thoughts. Me? The god of archery can¡¯t shoot? My head felt blank.

    ¡°I warned you.¡±  Said Brook with an indifferent expression.

    I kept on staring towards the sky while shouting at my father in my head.

    Wait! I know!

    ¡°It must be taking time for me to get used to my new body! Yes, that¡¯s it! After some days I should be alright!¡±

    Just as I had discovered something about the human body, I noticed that the sky had already darkened. I was so engrossed in trying out archery that I didn¡¯t even notice the track of time.

    ¡°it¡¯s already dark?¡± I asked with a shocked expression.

    ¡°yes, let¡¯s go to the search orb. We¡¯ll head to the dining hall after that¡±. Brook started leaving the training grounds after that.

    I kept the bow on the rack and ran after him to catch up. Some time later we went back to the headmaster¡¯s office and walked to the corner of the office walls.

    ¡°what are you doing?¡± I asked curiously when we were at office.

    ¡°You¡¯ll see.¡± Brook replied mysteriously before pressing a button on the wall. As soon as he pressed it the tiles below moved to the side and opened a pathway of stairs downwards.

    ¡°Woah. You got some good technology here.¡± I replied as I was surprised with how the passageway opened.

    ¡°It¡¯s actually fingerprint¡­ I¡¯ll be back stay here for some time.¡± He replied and walked into the passageway. Before I had time to respond the passageway closed and the tiles covered the stairs.

    ¡°Fuck!¡± I responded too late, I tried opening it by pressing the button but it didn¡¯t open. While I was trying all the ways I could to enter someone came inside. He looked like a butler but was young and looked like a capable subordinate.

    ¡°who are you?¡± I asked while still pressing the button.

    ¡°Esteemed guest I am sir Brook¡¯s assistant. Also ¡­.. other than sir Brook no one can enter the passageway without permission.¡± He bowed slightly and responded to me while looking a little troubled.

    ¡°Hmph, I¡¯ll give up then. Oh yeah! What¡¯s a fingerprint?¡± I asked him a little confusedly. Brook had mentioned something about a finger print but I didn¡¯t know what it was.

 Chapter 10- The desert of undead.

    "You did?! Where? Where is that stupid witch?" I was so excited that I almost flipped out.

    On the other hand Brook didn''t look all that good. He was frowning! That usually emotionless face was actually showing some emotion! But I was getting worried.... Fuck! You should be happy that you found her! Why the fuck are you frowning?!

    I quickly calmed down after seeing Brook''s frown.

    "Don''t tell me she is somewhere we can''t go?"

    "She is at the desert of the undead ..."

    As soon as I heard that I flipped out but this time out of utter shock!

    "What?! What''s she doing over there ? Doesn''t she know it''s dangerous?"

    Brook finally stopped frowning and calmed whatever emotion he had. But I wasn''t Brook! I didn''t even have my powers!

    "Fuck! Out of all the places she could be in, she had to go to that wretched desert!"

    Brook let out a sigh- "there is nothing we can do about it.... For now you should see how you will convince the half bloods to follow you. The witch usually stays at a place for a decade so waiting is not a option. It also seems like she moved in there recently."

    "Fuck that suicide prone witch! Always going to places where she could die easily! But you are right I need to convince those half bloods...... Wait a minute! Didn''t you convince them already?"

    I was really angry right now and this guy can''t even do his work properly!

    "Well... I tried but to no avail."

    "Stop talking like a gentleman or whatever, didn''t you tempt them with some rewards ?"

    For a moment I saw a flash past by Brook''s eyes. I felt something ominous....

    "You know as well as I do how tough it is to cultivate a life fruit, just offering them a 100 year one is a major depletion in resources. Giving them 200 year ones when we only have a few of them is just madness."

    "But don''t they exist to be given away as rewards?! Just tempt them....." Before I could speak Brook started blabbering again.

    "This isn''t that important of a mission, you were the one who messed up and you need to clean the mess you made, moreover I don''t think they would be willing to listen to you even if you gave them an immortality fruit."

    Seriously there were about 250 demigods at this place but this guy still couldn''t convince them to do something. How useless!

    "Just take me to them, I''ll convince them to help me!"

    "Sure. Let''s go it''s about time for dinner, after eating you could tell them whatever you want to them. Marsh arrange a separate bench and table for Benza. Let''s go."

    We started walking towards the dining hall and it took about 15 minutes to reach.

    We walked into the dining hall or rather a big green place which looked like a football field with tables and chairs only it was much bigger than a football field.

    There was a area at the right that looked like a big stage. Brook, the other guy(Marsh) and me went to the stage where there was a table with food already kept on it.

    I sat on the stool and started eating as soon as I sat. Brook just sat down silently and started eating elegantly. I feel like spitting on his face when I saw it! And that other guy just stood beside Brooks side while watching.

    While I was gulping my food down the other demigods arrived soon and started eating, it became lively soon and everyone looked jolly.

    After I finished eating my chicken and leaving out the stupid green stuff and sprouts, Brook signalled for me to get up and go to the area on the stage with a mike. He came along with me and had a spoon and glass filled with wine in his hands.

    He hit the glass with the spoon making a ting- ting sound. It was not loud neither was it silent, just enough for everyone to hear it.

    There was some shuffling sound before everyone turned their head towards the stage. Everything became quiet only the sound of insect and birds making sounds could be heard.

    "Ahem- everyone, we have a serious matter to be discussed. The great God Benza has come down to Mooyoon to help us. Unfortunately he has lost his powers temporarily and needs help while he goes to the witch."

    "what?! When did that happen Brook." I was surprised, why is this guy saying bullcrap?! When did I come to help?

    Brook whispered to me- ''just shut up and do as I say.  ''

    I didn''t speak in the mike so that conversation just happened between me and him. What is happening? Why would he need to lie?

    "Sorry for that. Now back to topic- who would like to volunteer? Anyone who volunteer would get a 100 year life fruit and other rewards from the great God himself."

    There was whispering going on as soon as Brook finished but it quickly settled down when Brook made a - ting-ting sound again. Looks like they really respected him.

    "The one standing towards my left is the God himself, any doubts you have would be cleared by him."

    Brook spoke in a small voice to me again- ''just tell them you need some people to help you and whoever does would get a great reward. But the reward will be a surprise and you would give it once the mission is finished.''

    ''got it!'' I replied. I needed to find the witch as fast as I could and for that I needed these brats to help me.

    The whole field burst into whispers again, I felt like running away - ''hey is that supposed to be the God Benza? He looks ugly after losing his divine powers''. ''wait, wait isn''t he the ''determined failure?''. ''haha and I thought he was the God of archery.''

    This is why I didn''t want to come to this wretched paradise. These modern day brats don''t know how difficult it is! All these rotten idiots!

    My mouth was twitching at the side. I didn''t want to ask for help but, let''s do it!

    Just as I was about to speak a guy stood up and pointed his finger towards me.

    "WAIT!"

 Chapter 11- Responsibilities of a God

    ¡°WAIT!¡±

    A person stood while pointing his finger towards me. Everything became silent again.

    He had long hair and red eyes. His body was well built and he had an imposing aura. He was wearing dark clothes and his shirt was sleeveless.

    ¡°Why do we even have to help you?! Do you even realise how many of us died because of you?!¡±

    The people sitting around him started looking worried for him.

    ¡°Marcus¡­. Just sit down.¡± A guy with green eyes and with a sword tied towards his back tried to convince Marcus to stop shouting.

    ¡°No! I won''t! So many of our brothers¡­ so many of our friends¡­. So many¡­. So many of them! Even Jessica! She died because of them! Every time those so called Gods mess up, why do we have to clean up behind them?! Those hypocrites!¡±

    His face was distorted and his voice was full of emotion. Although everyone wanted him to sit down, none of them looked dissatisfied with what he was speaking. All of them even looked like they agreed with him.

    ¡°Marcus don''t cause a ruckus, we got into a lot of trouble last time because of you! Just shut up and sit down.¡±

    This time a girl with glasses spoke up and told him to sit down. She looked strict and boy did her voice sound authoritative. She was wearing a black training dress without and armour. The dress she wore looked loose but it did not hide her impressive figure.

 Chapter 12- First step towards becoming a god again.

    As soon as I went in I saw Brook at his table sitting at his desk. His assistant was standing to his side and handing over documents to him. There was also another guy in the room.

    A small kid probably around 13 years old for human age. He had brown hair and dark eyes. He looked like a energetic kid who is always playing around. He had an unexplainable aura around him but I wasn''t able to tell what it was.

    I walked up to the table and slammed both my hands on it.

    When I ran outside the lord was already waiting for me so I ran along with his pace which was pretty slow.

    Benza-

    Well my student has got some food, but the food seemed to be spilling out. Oh well, most of it is fried items.

    After running around with my slow pace I felt very tired.

    What kind of crazy stamina does this guy have anyway!

    We ran around for a long time and when I mean long I mean suuuper long. We finally lost the waiters who were following us and the sounds of motorbikes and cars following us. They couldn''t enter the small alleys anyway.

    Haaaah! We both were breathing in large amounts of air and our chest fell up and down again and again.

    I leaned my back against the wall and sat down and so did Theodore.  We looked at each other.

    ¡°Ha..haha...hahaha!¡±

    Both of us started laughing loudly! That was most enjoyable moment in my life since I entered this idiotic body!

    Theodore recovered earlier than me but it took a long time for me to return back to normal.

    ¡°The food is a mess!¡± Theodore said worryingly.

    ¡°Don''t worry, it''s eatable!¡±

    We spread the white cloth on the ground which was now dyed with different colours because of the food colour and started digging into the food soon after.

    15 minutes later-

    Burp~ Burp~

    ¡°Even though it was mixed, it tasted pretty good!¡±

    ¡°Yeah! But I can''t imagine a God would do things like these.¡±

    ¡°Oh I''ve done worse things than these. You know this one time, my dad was gifting a cow to my stepmother. It was said that the cow would be so tasty after eating it that even a woman would not mind her image and dig into it like a starving old man!

    Of course that old hag wouldn''t want that but she could just eat the delicious cow alone without letting anyone see her, but before my dad could give it to her, I stole it and ate it alone by myself and boy was it tasty! The faces of my dad and stepmother were so worth it!¡±

    Theodore fell silent for a while..¡±couldn''t they just find another cow?¡±

    ¡°Of course they couldn¡¯t, that cow appears only once in 50,000 years.¡±

    Just as we were talking leisurely and playing around a sound started coming in from the search tool.

    After I drank my coffee I felt much better but it still didn''t solve the unrest in my heart. Gaya was asking me to protect her child? She is a God above the main gods! I heard she didn''t have any descendants. But suddenly a direct descendant pops out of nowhere?

    There was something wrong here but it was not up to me to sort that out. I was just asked to treat the child properly, this isn''t something a puny character like me could solve.

    Just thinking of that woman can send chills down anyone''s spine. If she wanted to destroy this place and kill me, it would be as easy as flicking her wrist.

    I rubbed the space between my brows as hard as I could but the headache still continued. Who was Gaya¡¯s child? There was no one in the palace, it couldn''t be Theodore, it wasn''t Benza. The only possibility was the new kid with high amount of divine energy that was sensed by the energy orb.

    ¡°Looks like i made a mistake this time.¡±

    ¡°It isn''t your fault sir, I''ll go right away and be back with those three.¡±

    Marsh left as quickly as the wind and came back with the three in about five seconds.

    Alex, the man with long hair and red eyes, the son of a weak dragon and god of the underworld¡¯s descendent. They were his grandparents so he has quite a lot of divine and dragon blood. His almost humanoid appearance was because his mother was a human. He was also the one who stood up in the dinner hall to fight with Benza. He is a dragod and the most powerful demigod at the palace. He''s got a fiery temper.

    Justin, the man with green eyes and ruffled hair. A prince to all the females at the palace. His grandfather is the God of all water and oceans. with a sword tied to his back, don¡¯t underestimate him because of his pretty boy appearance, he might slice you into two before you know it.

    Beatrix, the woman with glasses and the only girl who is a direct descendant of a God at the palace. Daughter of strategy, wisdom and intelligence. Although she might not be as powerful as the other two she has the brain to match up to them and it isn''t like she can''t pack a punch.

    Beatrix looked towards Alex and Justin before asking. ¡°What are you guys doing here?¡±

    ¡°Well, that''s what we want to know.¡±

    Beatrix looked at me with her eyes which were full of wisdom beyond her age.

    ¡°Headmaster, would you mind explaining the cause for such a sudden summon?¡±

    I looked at them seriously-

    ¡°I need you to do something for me and we cannot afford to mess this up¡­¡­...¡±

    I letting my pride down had to ride on Theodore¡¯s back. Even though he was so small, he was much powerful and faster than your average adult. Even with the stupidly large backpack on my back the ride was kind of stable.

    ¡°We''re closing in Theodore!¡±

    ¡°Yes I know! Good thing we bought(robbed) the map or we wouldn''t be able to match the demigod¡¯s speed.¡±

    We were finally about to catch that damned demigod after 2 hrs of following after it!

    We took a turn to the right and saw a silhouette flash by us.

    Fuck! It was the demigod!

    Just as we were about to chase after it again we heard an eerily dangerous voice.

    ¡°Huhuhaha~ just as I thought one demigod wasn''t enough for my evolution, another demigod shows up! Who knew that my luck would be so good today! Huhuhuhahaha!¡±

 Ch-14 - The Ponera

    ¡°SHIT! Deep shit!¡±

    I sucked in a deep breath and my face became pale. I bet I was making a pretty funny face right but I didn''t have time to think about this right now.

    ¡°Who is that?¡±

    As I looked in front of me in this isolated lane, there stood a doll. It looked pretty cute. It was a boy doll with nearly combed hair on its head. The doll was about 12 inches tall and looked like it could talk. It was also slowly walking towards us with an evil glint in its eyes.

    But this is not the thing that gave me a shock, and a sense of fear.

    ¡°Fuck! Theodore are you waiting for it to come over and eat us up?! Hurry up and run!¡±

    ¡°Why? What could a mere doll do to us?¡±

    While I was talking with Theodore, the doll had already made its way up to both of us.

    ¡°Fuck! Don''t look at it!¡±

    I shouted at Theodore anxiously but it was too late.

    The doll suddenly smiled widely and half of its face had been taken over by his evil smile.

    ¡°Hehehe~ thank you for letting me evolve so quickly!¡±

    A light shown from its body. I was prepared for it and quickly covered my eyes with my hands.

    My eyes stung from the bright light the doll was giving off even though I had covered them with my hands.

    ¡°AAAHHHH!¡±

    ¡°Theodore! Snap out of it it''s only tricking you!¡±

    This doll was actually a demon of a very rare species. It had almost zero attack power, but this was also what had made it so terrifying. A small demon doll, what could it do? Well it had destroyed prosperous nations throughout history. Killed some of the greatest heroes in history and had spread so much misery that the gods decided to take action against this particular species.

    The dolls were named ''Pneuma Poneron¡¯. They were immortals with the ability to show the greatest fear of any living person to that person and make him live in illusions. Every single living thing has one or the other bad memory with them. The Ponerons take advantage of this and manipulate the living.

    With almost zero attack power they gave the gods a huge headache by dragging out the war between them. Eventually the gods defeated them but the goddess of Fate did not allow the last five dolls to be killed.

    The goddess of Fate was the only ''normal¡¯ goddess of all the main gods according to me. The world worked with certain rules and even Gods cannot change much of it or bend it to there wills. Unwillingly they left those five dolls alone.

    The Ponerons also weren''t almighty. They had a major problem, they couldn''t reproduce. The only way a new Poneron would come to life is by the ¡®Pneuma stone¡¯. The Pneuma stone produces only one doll every thousand years.

    The Gods were not willing to take even this small chance and destroyed the Pneuma stone. They took the immortal remains of the slayed Ponerons and threw them into the never extinguishing flames of hell, so they could never revive again.

    Now out of the remaining five dolls, the strongest one was sealed away in a box. Another one helped the evil dragon recently in the war of God and the evil dragon.     The third doll was with the witch and the whereabouts of the fourth and fifth dolls were unknown.

    While I covered my eyes trying hard not to let the light enter I could hear Theodore¡¯s howls and wails. I couldn''t hold it up for long though. After about 20 seconds of sanity my mind finally entered the world of illusions as well.

    A light flashes somewhere in the middle of a busy street. Three people suddenly appear on the street and look over all of the places.

    ¡°Hey Justin! Do you know how we should find the new brat?¡±

    ¡°Alex stop shouting and let me think of a plan.¡±

    Said a woman with glasses while touching her forehead as if she were contemplating something.

    Just a few seconds later she snapped her fingers and her face lit up as if she had gain enlightenment.

    ¡°I''ve got it you guys!--¡±

    Before she could say anymore a sound interrupted her.

    Beep~ Beep~

    A man with deep green eyes looked towards the two others and smiled brightly.

    ¡°I don''t think we need any plan, let''s go!¡±

    The girl looked pretty irritated as she had not got to say what she wanted but she quickly reacted and started running towards the direction where the search tool told them to go.

    ¡°Hey wait for me!¡± said the boy with red eyes and black hair who was the last one to react.

    The three of them were very fast and if you didn''t focus, you wouldn''t be able to see them.

    I am an ordinary teenage girl that had an ordinary everyday life. Or at least I thought I was until my 17th birthday.

    I was just like any other day, I came back home all exited hoping that my father would at least remember my birthday.

    Unfortunately I was disappointed yet again by him. This had been going on for the past few years already. I had a stepmom that also had a daughter and he was always kind to her and remembered her birthdays but he always forgot mine.

    I wanted to hear the words- ¡°oh sweetie~ I''m so sorry! Happy birthday! I''ll promise to remember it next time.¡±

    But all I get is a reply that looked like as if it was very tough to say it. ¡°Happy birthday¡­¡± in a tune like as if he was talking about the dead. As if it were a melancholic memory.

    After all these years of neglect and isolation my true feeling finally came out. I finally couldn''t take it. I asked him why he was always like that to me.

    I wish I had never asked, I wish I had never opened my mouth because I finally realised the saying- ''you only recognise the value of an object after losing it, no matter how small it is.¡¯

    Just like i wanted he told me why he treated me like that and I ran away. I couldn''t stay at that house anymore.

    I walked on the beach till I met a strange person and a lot of thing happened after that. I finally got a job after many days if job hunting and my life continued peacefully but I didn''t know what I would do from here on out.

    ¡°What should I do?¡± I asked myself? Would I live out my life like this? Just doing some worthless job for a meager pay to fill my stomach?

    One day as I was walking back to the place where I usually slept after the part time I found a doll in front of me. It looked cute, so I went forward and picked it up but it suddenly smiled creepily.

    ¡°KYAAA!¡±

    I shouted as I dropped the doll down.

    Suddenly the doll looked up at me and it eyes looked almost real. My whole back became drenched with sweat and a deep sense of fear came from within me as if I was meeting an old nemesis. It was like an animals instinct that told me to run away as fast as I could. So, i ran.

    I ran and ran and ran but every time I turned around the doll would be at same distance away from me. My body was feeling strange and suddenly I felt as if my body was on drugs. I felt a new found energy within me. I didn''t know what it''s was but I just thanked God and ran as fast as I could.

    Suddenly two people appeared in front of me but I just dodged them and kept running. After running for some time again I finally lost energy and sat down beside a telephone booth. I leaned my back on the telephone booth for support and breathed heavily.

    What was that? What is going on?

    Bzz-!

    As some buzzing noise came into my ears I got up with full of anxiety, ''had the doll followed me here as well?¡¯ but I was proven wrong, it was three people who kept asking me questions as soon as I arrived. I couldn''t hear what they said and I couldn''t see properly. My body finally gave in and I fainted as everything became blank for me.

    Alex, Beatrix and Justin were standing in front of a girl who had fainted. She looked like a beggar with all the dust and worn out torn clothes wrapped around her body.

    ¡° Looks like she had her first awakening.¡±

    ¡°Yes this can be the only explanation.¡±

    Justin and Beatrix had concluded that she had her first awakening which meant that she had unlocked a small amount of her godly blood¡¯s power for the first time.

    ¡° We found the demigod, so we don''t have to help that Benza or whatever right?¡±

    While Alex was thinking of new ways of insulting Benza.

    ¡°Our mission was to return with the demigod and so we will. Let''s go back to the palace.¡± said Beatrix.

    Beep~ Beep~

    ¡°I think the new location on the map is Theodore. You guys go ahead, I''ll check up on how those two are doing and come back with them.¡± Said Justin.

    ¡°But I want to go too! It''s always boring at the palace.¡±

    ¡°No you''re not, and I need someone to carry this young lady right here and Justin you don''t really need to help them.¡± Said Beatrix as she crushed Alex''s hope.

    "Hahaha it''s fine, besides Theodore is also with them." Replied Justin.

    Justin watched them go and he also went towards the points on the search map.

    ¡°Let''s go! I still have to check up on them.¡± He said while not knowing what lied in wait for him.

 Ch 15- hidden feelings

    Justin -

    As I got closer and closer to the location on the search tool I started to hear a buzzing sound. It wasn''t loud but it wasn''t silent as well. The buzz sounded melodious.

    This buzz reminded me of the war I had experienced recently.

    The moment I lost the most important thing in my life. The moment I felt there wasn''t much of a reason for me to live.

    My heartbeat became faster and my breath started to become erratic.

    Was it because of running? Or my fear? I didn''t know. But all I knew was that I had to stop unwanted emotions returning back to me to make me feel miserable time and time again.

    After running for a while I finally got closer to the location. I kept the search tool inside my pocket and dashed towards where Theodore was.

    Those minutes I spent running towards Theodore were like hours to me. I ran as fast as I could but I still could not shake off that emotion no matter how hard I ran.

    The buzzing sound had increased by now and all I wanted now was to reach to Theodore¡¯s side while hoping for the best.

    As I ran I slowed down near the exact location and tried to conceal myself as hard as possible, I slowly walked towards the location.

    As I got closer I realised that something was amiss. I had to take a right turn to see Theodore but there was light coming from there. The sun was just about to set and the golden rays of the sun looked beautiful. The lights coming out from the street was green in colour.

    Compared to the beautiful rays of sunset the green light looked ominous. It looked evil and goosebumps would arise just by looking at it.

    ''Ponera¡¯ was the last word that came to my mind before I slipped into a comfortable dream.

    My body ached with sweet pain and I felt it relax on its own. What was going on all of a sudden. Why does it feel blank?

    Shit!!

    ¡°No! The Ponera! I can''t let it mess with my brain again!¡±

    I shouted at the top of my lungs before trying to figure out where I was.

    ¡°Justin?¡±

    I heard a voice in my ears as I was startled awake, the sweet pain in my body went away as I relaxed. The noises of people chattering about deciding what to buy entered my ears.

    I was at a clothing shop, sitting on the sofa in front of a dressing room.

    ¡°How do I look Justin?¡±

    I heard an excited and melodious voice in my ears again. My body relaxed even further. I looked up towards the dressing room.

    The curtain was slid aside and there stood a beautifully women in a beautiful dark blue dress. It came up to knee length as it showed off the women¡¯s beautifully long and slender legs.

    I looked at her hair, tied simply around her neck. Her beautifully blonde hair looked like it was made out of gold. It adorned her neck as if it were jewellery.

    I looked into her eyes as I fell into a trance, her beautiful blue eyes were like glistening pearls picked out of the ocean.

    Her lips looked like red cherry. How I wish I could run up to her and eat them up.

    She pouted at me angrily as she walked away to the counter to bill for the dress.

    After billing was finished we walked out of the shop and headed towards a smoothie shop.

    ¡°We had a lot of fun today didn''t we?¡±

    ¡°Yeah, we couldn''t shop for you in the morning. You were busy trying to get me clothes, that you forgot about yourself.¡±

    ¡°It isn''t that I forgot¡­. It''s just that you don''t have a lot of clothes.¡±

    ¡° Yeah I know.¡±

    It was dark at this moment as we sat down and drank a glass of smoothie without speaking to each other. We just looked at each other from time to time.

    After finishing it, I held her hand. My hand was cold because of touching the cold glass of the smoothie. She didn''t mind it though.

    ¡°Come with me I''ll show take you to a fun place!¡±

    ¡°Huh?.. wait! Don''t just grab me and start running!¡±

    We ran around for quite a long time. Since we were demigods, we didn''t need a car.

    I brought her to a tower on a hill near the city.

    This place wasn¡¯t that popular. Fortunately for us no one was there here to disturb us.

    I looked at the view I could see from the tower. It looked magnificent. The lights of all the buildings far away looked like stars all cluttered up. The different colours of light made it even more appealing.

    Actually this had already happened, I knew it. I knew this is an illusion, but I still wanted to go out on a date with her one last time. Just one last time. Was it too much to ask for? I just wanted to see her. Her face¡­. Her smile¡­..

    I remember walking up to her as I declared my love and asked if we could date each other.

    Yes, that''s right. Just ¡® date¡¯. We were not officially going out together but still visit places together. The demigods paradise allows one person to take holidays for two days in a month, moreover you need to have a certain amount of skill to go roam outside freely.

    If possible I did want to marry her. I loved her.

    This is the moment where I confessed to her on the tower and we shared a kiss. But everything after that just went wrong. The tower started shaking, people were screaming. There were sudden thunderstorms. This was where the war had began, the war against the evil dragon.

    Coming back to the present I was in a illusion in which I had yet to walk up to her and confess to her.

    I looked at her as she watched the city with amazement in her eyes. My heart shook, I wanted to stay with her but I knew she was just an illusion. I had something more important to do right now I couldn''t waste anymore time here.

    I walked up to her again just like in my memories.

    ¡°Yeah¡­¡±

    I took out something from my sleeve. It was Jessica''s necklace. A simple string on which layed five pieces of amber. Currently there were only four ambers on it. I had already used one of them.

    This simple looking necklace is actually a god artifact gifted to her by her father. She gave it to me when she passed passes away to take care of it.

    Each piece of amber had the property to nullify all and any illusions for 1 minute.

    It''s only restriction was it could only be used by mortals.

    ¡°I''m sorry Jessica¡­¡­. I am such an irresponsible man but I will try my best from next on. I know I''m a fool but I''ll try to be better in the future.¡±

    ¡°What are you talking about Justin?¡±

    Suddenly her voice turned eerie and her arms changed into claws. He hair turned into spike as they charged towards me.

    ¡°Let''s die? Heheehohohaha, let''s die together.¡±

    I held on to the amber as the amber shone brightly with golden light it completely overshadowed the illusion and everything around it.

    I felt the sweet pain in my body again as I came back to the real world.

    My eyes were wet, two tears fell down.

    ¡°Wh-what, it cannot be! You have the Antithisi! How can you have such a rare item! That wretched item was how those puny half gods had defeated my ancestors.¡±

    I looked at the doll in front of me, it looked terrified and stupid.

    ¡°You don''t have to know where I got it from. You won''t be alive after sometime anyway.¡±

    The Ponera looked like it was about to wet his pants. I walked up to it while it was shivering. I took out the sword from my scabbard in the back. It was a sword of top quality, a quasi- god artifact.

    ¡°You wicked Ponerians know nothing but spoiling people''s lives, DIEEEEE!!!¡±

    I was angry, because it had made me see her again, it had made me feel guilty again. It had showed her in such an ugly form.

    I swung my sword so I could sever its head from its body.

    Let me remind you that Ponerons have an ability to create illusion but their own attack and defence is almost zero. They also had another advantage- speed.

    I swung the sword and the doll bent down. I swiped to the side but it dodged again. I threw a feint at it as kicked it in its stomach to launch it into midair.

    The ponera¡¯s body is made up of a special substance, it felt like my leg had just kicked a small cushion cotton.

    While I was hoping for it to be off guard in the air.

    It took advantage of the kick to make some distance between us.

    His eyes shone as he looked at me.

    He looked atmy amber necklace and decided to cancel his illusion on Theodore and the god of light. It turned around and started running into an alley.

    Thud- Thud-

    Both of them were flying in the air with green light all around them but they fell down as soon as the spell was cancelled

    ¡°Hmph, I am not known as the fastest sword for no reason¡±

    I quickly caught up with the Ponera and slashed at it''s head.

 Ch - 16- Loneliness

    ¡°NEROU LEPIDA!¡±

    30 seconds had already passed since I came back from the illusion. So, I guess I have 30 more seconds now.

    Nerou Lepida is the most basic attack I ever learnt. But if you look at attacks made by experts, they are always basic and have a deeper meaning in them. Nerou Lepida is actually only a quarter of the attack move of a God.

    It throws a blade made of water on the target by condensing water from the atmosphere. It''s attack power depends on your surroundings and one''s own mastery in it.

    It was thought of as a weak move in the demigods palace, but only when I had learnt it had I realised the gifts of the attack. Once mastered it''s slicing ability had increased phenomenally.

    My sword shone as I swung it and blue coloured blade came rushing out of it ready to slice the Poneron. But my sword wasn''t fast enough as the Poneron dodges to the side. It wasn''t a complete failure though, one of the Ponerons arm fell off it''s shoulders.

    Blood gushed out from its shoulder and it''s hand created a flower pattern of blood on the ground. The Poneron didn''t make any noise and kept on running. It looked like it didn''t even know that its arm had been cut off.

    35 seconds

    I was running out of breath by chasing after it as it requires a large amount of energy to execute a god move, even if it''s just a quarter of it.

    Sweat fell like rain from my cheeks, but I won''t give up now, besides even if it looked like the Poneron was fine after one of its arm was cut off, it''s speed had gotten visibly slower.

    45 seconds

    Huff puff-

    50 seconds

    ¡°HAAAAA AAH!! NEROUUU -¡±

    ¡°Hehehe~ aren''t you forgetting something mortal?¡±

    Fuck!! Theodore! I left him behind! I stopped my attack suddenly which caused a large recoil as spit out a large amount of blood.

    The energies in my body collided as I was sent flying by my own attack, this is why I hated Ponerians. Very good at playing mind games.

    60 seconds

    Time was up and the Ponera had escaped. I got up to my feet and started running towards the direction I came in.

    This had happened a few times in my life before.

    Monsters trying to distract their opposition because they couldn''t beat them. And there were two outcomes- one, it was just a bluff made by the monster to get away. Two, the people I left behind were already dead by the time I arrived.

    The Poneron I was chasing couldn''t be tracked down anymore so all I could do was hope for the best and hope it was the first option.

    I ran as fast as my feet could take me. When I reached, I stopped suddenly as the shoes made a noise due to friction between the shoes and the ground.

    Zrrrrrrrkkkk~

    ¡°Haaaah haaaah¡±

    They were safe.

    It was just a bluff.

    The next part was the worst¡­. I had to feel like I was traveling I was on a roller coaster, only it was 20 times worse and 20 time faster.

    In a silent desert where only the noise if wind was could be heard, four people popped out of nowhere.

    I took out the search tool and pressed at the center of the screen to make it start.

    I couldn''t believe my luck! We already had the witch on radar!

    ¡°Wow! Looks like this mission is pretty easy, we already found where the witch is!¡±

    Theodore got excited as soon as he heard the beep~ sound. But the words next words was like pouring cold water on us.

    Justin came closer and looked at the compass.

    ¡°Hmmmm¡­. It looks like it''s already 200 km away from here, moreover we have to travel on foot. If this was an ordinary terrain it would have been easy but we are travelling on sand so it''ll be tough. Moreover the desert is very hot.

    And you can''t ignore the fact that this is the undead desert. All these factors together greatly reduce our speed. I reckon it would take us about a week  to reach to the witch¡¯s home.¡±

    ¡°Why is this place called the undead desert?¡± Annia got curious.

    ¡°It¡¯s because the desert is connected to the underworld. Millennials ago, the gods had a large war with dragons. This is where a dragon and a god had fought. Apparently it had been a forest filled with trees before that happened but due to an attack of the dragon, a space portal was opened to the underworld.

    After all these years it''s finally changed to a desert with few thing left to see.

    The further we go inside the more undead appear before us. Since we are at the border of the desert we can''t see any undead here.¡±

    ¡°Well we should just start moving already, we already wanted a large amount of time!¡±

    I started to get excited. I was finally walking towards getting my body back, I would get it back and cause a fucking mayhem while destroying the demigods palace in the meantime.

    ¡°Justin can you tell me what this guy¡¯s name is again?¡± Annia asked in a whisper as she walked with Justin.

    The four of them walked for the whole afternoon till it was 3 pm.

    Asked Theodore while rubbing his hand on his stomach.

    Both Theodore and my stomach growled at the same time.

    ¡°We should advance slowly and steadily if we want to get to the witch as soon as possible. This desert is the best example of the saying- ¡®haste makes waste.¡¯¡± said Justin while trying to advice us.

    I already knew all the bullshit but I couldn''t wait. I need to know what the fuck is happening and fast. So I can get my original body as soon as possible.

    ¡°Let''s set up, something to eat. Lord Benza do you mind giving your bag to me?¡±

    ¡°take it.¡±

    I chucked the bag at him which he caught perfectly. He opened the zipper and took one of the two small squares out.

    It was the size of pinky and was decorated with purple colour.

    ¡°What is that?¡± Asked annia, even I didn''t know the answer to that.

    ¡°It''s the squail, a space item that can help you store items.¡± this time Theodore was the one to answer. Atta boy! You beat the annoying know it all!

    Justin pressed the purple button at the center of the cube. A Purple whirlwind popped out of nowhere and throwed items out of it.

    A table. A refrigerator and a stove. At Least that''s what was written on the unexplainably plain looking objects.

    ¡°Ok¡­. Please wait for a moment, I''ll just heat up the food.¡± Justin said as he wore a robe. What was that? He looked funny in it.

    Annia, Theo and me sat down on the table.

    While we sat down awkwardly, Theo suddenly grabbed my arm and shook it.

    ¡°Hey hey, Lord can you tell me a story about the gods?¡±

    I was a little surprised but the kid behaved well so I just decided to tell him a story.

    ¡° sure, let see¡­¡­ ah!¡± I snapped my fingers.

    ¡°I''ll tell you about how my father lost his hair!¡±

    Once upon a time in a forest there lived an ugly young fatty. No matter where he went, women would fall for him for all the wrong reasons! For example, his ugliness, his fat, and his weak power that couldn''t even throttle a chicken.

    This ugly young man was actually my father who is a great disappointment. He was undercover that time because his father was forcing him to settle down with an official wife.

    That''s right, my father was a spendthrift and a silk pants! While looking for a proper wife my father roamed around the whole world.

    After a decade he finally found his perfect wife but she was quite an arrogant person. And of course she had a condition like all the ugly people in the world would. She told him that if he could bring her the wings of gold, she would marry him.

    And of course like all the stupid men in the world my father set out to find the wings of gold. But apparently my lovestruck father had forgotten something. The golden wings were protected by a fire throwing giant.

    By the time my father remembered that he was going to fight a giant he was already facing the giant in a big bloody battle. Just because of this stupid battle the world''s land split into three.

    Then my father lost his hair because of the fire and went berserk and blah blah blah¡­.

    In the end the two of the most ugliest people got married. End of story.¡±

    Justin looked a little spooked a little because I had spoken too much but he also looked excited in learning that my father was bald. Seems like the whole demigod palace would know about it sooner or later. Serves him right.

    ¡°Who is your father?¡± Annia asked as Theo knocked his hands on the table in shock.

    ¡°Wh-what? You don''t know who the great god Balthazar is?¡±

    ¡°Ummm, am I supposed to?¡±

    ¡°Of course! He is the most powerful god in the world ( kind of). Since you are a demigod you should at least know something about the gods.¡±

    Justin smiled and all of us dug into the food.

    For some reason I felt like I saw Brook¡¯s smile in Justin¡¯s. I felt funny for some reason.

    There was breast chicken, some tomato soup and rice. A pretty normal meal. I was fine with anything.

    As the four of us ate soundlessly. Annia suddenly got curious again¡­. Like always.

    ¡°Oh! How does the refrigerator and stove work without any energy source?¡±

    ¡°It works with the help of fire and ice attributed energy stones. The names are self explanatory themselves.¡±

    Chech! Annoying know it all.

    As we got back to eating we were disturbed by yet another sound or rather a tremor.

    Trrrr-

    The table shook as wind started to blew faster suddenly, it got so fast that the sand all around got into the food.

    ¡°What''s going on?¡± Asked Annia.

    ¡°It''s a sandstorm.¡± replied Justin.

    The wind got stronger again as more sand started getting on to our faces and everywhere around us.

    ¡°Quickly press the button on the squail kept on the refrigerator Theodore!¡± Said Justin.

    He gave a sudden command to Theo and took out the sword on his back, as if he was getting ready for a fight.

    Theo quickly got up and ran towards the refrigerator and pressed the button on the squail as a purple whirlwind came out and swallowed everything it had previously given out.

    The wind got stronger. And a large sand storm, 100 Meters away came towards us.

    ¡°Fuck! It''s a fucking bone sandstorm!¡±

    I shouted as I saw the white outlines on the brown sand of the sandstorm.

    ¡°Shit, we can''t run away from it!¡±

    If I still had my powers this would have been a piece of cake but now I had to getting all panicky over this.

    A bone sandstorm is a sandstorm with bones. Well it¡¯s not as simple as it sounds. It can detect life and follow the life source till it eventually kill them or gets disintegrated by an attack.

    That''s not all, it also has lots and lots of bone chips. If anybody gets caught in that mess, he will get torn till he gets converted to a skeleton and act like an undead leading it towards other forms of life.

    ¡°Does any of you have a highly offensive god attack?¡± I asked.

    ¡°What''s that?¡± As expected the idiot Annia didn''t know.

    ¡°No¡­ no-not yet at least¡± replied Theodore.

    ¡°I don''t as well.¡± Said Justin, I don''t know why but I think I saw him smile. I must be imagining, why would he smile in such a dangerous situation.

    ¡°Fuck! Why did Brook send demigods like you who can''t even block this?!¡±

    ¡°Well, it''s not like you can help.¡± Justin replied.

    It got closer and closer quickly and before I could get the chance to speak anything the sandstorm  appeared directly in front of us four.

    The wind along with sand blowing on us hurt us and now we couldn''t even see anything. I covered both my eyes with my hands.

    ¡°Damn!¡±

    Suddenly I heard Justin shout something.

    ¡°Nerou Lepida!¡±

    A blue blade shot out and slashed the sandstorm into two. Thousands of sounds rushed into my ears as they threatened to make me deaf. They were all the wails of the undead as they truly became dead.

    The tornado slowly drifted away as massive amounts of bones fell from the air and dropped into the sound.

    The desert finally returned back to normal. I removed my hand from my ears which I had used to protect my ears from the sound.

    ¡°Why didn''t you just say that you could tear the tornado up when you could?!¡±

    Justin looked at me as his smile vanished.

    ¡°It was just a test and you failed. In a dire situation instead of keeping on looking for solutions you kept ranting about how it was mistake of the demigods palace that you were in this mess?

    Theodore! You didn''t show any determination! You had already learnt about the bone sandstorm at self defence class! You should have used long ranged attacks to quickly find out it''s weakness and collapse it, instead you got nervous! The reason I finished it in one move was because I had no time!

    Annia your new here so I hope you learnt something. By watching and experiencing battle you can unlock the attack moves of your parent god. This is the strongest arsenal of a demigod.¡±

    After lecturing us he returned back to his usual smiling expression.

    ¡°Well then, I hope everyone learnt the lesson of never underestimating this desert by sitting and eating and not being alarmed sooner. I also hope you know why we are moving slowly now.

    I was assigned to be the leader of this mission, please do not disappoint me. I will try my best to lead you to the witch as fast as possible, I hope you can cooperate.¡±

    This is when I realised something about this guy even though he was just a demigod. He is a hiding tiger waiting to pounce on others if given the chance.
