《Rising To The Ancients》 Chapter 1 Looking around me all I can see is pure white and I try to think back to what happened before I appeared here. I was walking home just like any other day and I stopped by the grocery store to get ingredients for dinner. After that I walked past the bank since it is on my way home and heard screams and when I looked over I saw someone pointing something at me then I felt cold and fell down. Next thing I knew I was here.. "So does that mean I am dead? Sure felt like it." "That is correct." "Hm? Who are you?" "I am God. Well atleast one of the gods." "Oh. So I really did die?" "Yes you did really die. You were shot in the head by someone robbing the bank." "Oh. So where am I? Heaven? Hell?" "Really? You aren''t surprised or angry?" "Oh I am for sure but it''s not like being angry will change anything right?" "You are one weird human. Anyways where you are now is neither Heaven nor Hell, It is my personal space. I brought you here to give you two options." "Oh. What are those 2 options of yours?" "The first option is for you to be sent into the cycle of reincarnation and be reincarnated 2500 years later, Obviously without your memories. The second option is for you to be my champion of sorts in another world." "I''ll choose the other world one I guess. Seems more interesting than just sitting in a void for 2 millenium." "In that case I will tell you the information you will need. The world I am sending you to is called Krilda and is a world full of cultivators and beasts. You should be familiar with that from those games you played and novels you read in your free time. Anyways, I am sending you there as my champion and 49 other gods will also be sending champions there. The main point is for you to beat all the other champions and take the chance to enter the world of ancients, Which has been lost for many millenium." "I see. That sounds like it will be pretty interesting, to say the least. So I basically need to cultivate a lot and get strong enough to overpower all the other champions?" "That is basically correct. Though I do not believe it will be that easy, I do hope you can win this since you are the first champion I have chosen. Every god is different and I am the God of Wisdom, So as a perk for being sent as my champion you will gain many things related to wisdom. you will be able to remember everything you see, Even once. You will also have the ability to comprehend everything many times faster than normal people, and most geniuses. Also, as per the agreement between us gods, Every champion will get a high grade storage ring and will be able to choose 5 cultivation manuals before they get sent to the world." Suddenly a few bookshelves appear around me that are all filled with what I assume to be cultivation manuals, Since God said we can choose 5 manuals. There is also a ring that fell in front of me which is probably the storage ring God talked about. "Since your original body had it head damaged you can no longer use it since I am not able to heal damage to the head without going against the law of the universe, So I have to create you a new body. You will feel a slight tug which will send you into your new body, So do not struggle against it." Like he said I felt a force pulling my spirit or whatever I am right now somewhere but I don''t struggle and allow it to just pull me since god told me to allow it. After a while I feel the pulling stop and I am suddenly in a body and I fall over due to the change in gravity from soul to body form. "Now that you have a body again, Drop a bit of blood onto the storage ring to claim it as yours so you are able to use it now. When you have done that you can start looking at the cultivation manuals to find 5 that you think suit you. When you are done choosing just call out to me so we can continue on." Getting up I bite my thumb and let a bit of blood drop onto the ring, Which absorbs the blood and shines a bit before I feel a slight connection to it. I guess that means it is mine now? I put it on my index finger and it shrinks down to fit perfectly on it. Done with that I start to look at the manuals around me finding different kinds of categories. One section is hand techniques while the others are weapon, defense and movement manuals. I look over them and find a few that would interest me, but I don''t know if I can use them so I ask the god first. "Hey God, Is it possible for me to get a sword from you so that I can use the sword technique I want to take, or will I have to find one in the other world?"The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. "Hm. Seems like it is possible for me to give you a sword since it seems the other gods are doing so aswell. What type of sword do you want?" "If possible I want a broad sword that is about 30 inches long." "Alright. Here you go." A sword that is perfectly like I wanted falls in front of me and I pick it up while trying to figure out how to put it into my storage ring. After a bit of testing, I figure out that to put items into my storage ring I just need to will them in while holding them and to bring them out I just need to will them in my hands. Seems simple enough to me. Now that I have a sword it is time to pick the 5 manuals that would be perfect for me. I look over all of the manuals, Which is probably in the thousands and probably took me days to do so before finding 5 that are perfect for me, atleast I think so. The first one is a sword technique named Striking The Heavens. Once trained to a high enough level it lets me sound out a wave of Sword Qi. The second one is a fist technique called Fist Of The Angry Dragon. Once trained to a high level it lets me empower my fist strikes and increases the damage by insane amounts. The third one is a movement technique called Lightning Steps which lets me merge my feet with lightning making me move insanely fast when trained to a high level. The fourth is another technique for swords which is called Sword of Lightning which allows me to coat my sword in lightning to deal more damage and slow down the target while also having a chance to paralyze and burn them. The last technique is a body technique named Iron Body which makes my muscles as hard as iron which will let me block most of the damage from fist attacks and weapon attacks. "I finished picking my 5 techniques." "Hm. Good techniques! They are all techniques that are hard to learn, but with your comprehension being many times higher than others it will be a piece of cake for you. Anyways since you finished choosing your techniques I will tell you stuff you should know. First of all is the cultivation levels. the first realm is called Mortal Practitioner realm. After that is the Mortal Spirit realm then the Mortal Lord realm. After that comes the True Spirit and True Lord realms. Then it goes to Sky of Heaven realm. Beyond that is the Void King Realm then Void God realm. After that is the highest realm which is called Oracle Core Realm. Each and every realm has a total of 10 stages, and when one gets to stage ten of either realm you would be called a half. Such as if you are stage 10 of the True Spirit Realm you would be called a Half True Lord. You understand so far?" "Yea I understand." "Good. Now about the cultivation techniques. Each technique has a rank. The ranks are as following: Core, Low, Mid, High, Peak and Heaven grades. The higher the technique grade the stronger it is, but also the harder to comprehend. All the techniques you chose are in the Mid grade. Each grade has a level of mastery that goes from Beginner, Low, Mid, High, Peak and Max. The higher the mastery, the stronger the technique you can use." "Understood. It seems simple enough to remember." "Good. Now let''s go onto the currency. The currency the world uses is called Crystals. The lowest rank crystal is a Blue Crystal, Which is the most used one for common people and lower ranked cultivators. The next rank is Red Crystals which are used more by the cultivators around True Spirit realm and above. After that comes the Green Crystals which are used by sects or cultivators around Sky of Heaven realm. The highest grade crystal is the Purple Crystal which are mainly used by those 1 star sects or people above the Void Realm. 1000 Blue Crystals is 1 Red Crystal. 5000 Red Crystals are one Green Crystal. 10000 Green Crystals are 1 Purple Crystal." "Okay. Remembered them all." "Good. Now there are sects and places like auction pavilions in the world. Each sect is ranked depending on Wealth, Strength and Size. The lowest rank a sect can be is 0.5 stars, Which are for those weak sects. After that comes 1 star which is for people who can pull out a few Purple Crystals, though not many. then it is 1.5 stars, 2 stars, 2.5 stars, 3 stars, 3.5 stars, 4 stars, 4.5 stars then finally 5 stars. The most average rank for sects is 1 star so you will probably find a lot of those around." "So basically don''t do anything stupid like offending sects above 1 star if I am not strong enough." "Okay now I will talk about the continents. The continent where 1 star sects and a few 2 star sects are at is called the Purple Moon Continent. That is where I am sending you. The next continent is called the Continent of Death, Which houses mainly 2 star sects and some 3 star sects. After that is the Continent of Fire which is a continent that is mainly burning and houses 3 star sects to a few 4 star sects. The last continent is called the Ocean Continent which is made of 85% ocean and 15% land. This continent has tens of 4 star sects and a total of 7 5 star sects. This is all you need to know now, Since the rest you can find out when you are in that world. For now I will tell you what you are going to do right now. When I send you to the world you will be in a forest. This forst is called the Forest of Death, Since it is full of beasts that go up to the peak of True Lord rank. When I send you there you will get a spot near a river where no beasts nor human can enter for 30 days. Though I do not know where the spot will be, It will most likely be deeper into the forest. After those 30 days are up beasts and humans will be able to enter the area I give you, So I recommend spending those 30 days to increase you cultivation and technique levels since the common realms of the beasts in the forest are Mortal Spirit with a bunch of Mortal Lords and True Spirits. There is around 5 True Lord ranks which are like bosses of the areas they govern, So I won''t send you near them." "Though I don''t feel that safe being sent there, I will at least have a chance due to the 30 day thing. I guess it is a good thing that I am your champion, Since having a higher comprehension will allow me to raise my cultivation alot faster than normal." "Yea that is true. If you cultivate long enough without anything going wrong, You should be able to enter the True Spirit realm before those 30 days are up. Maybe higher if you comprehend the truth of cultivation. Anyways, Since you are being sent into the forest, I will give you enough food to last 10 days. Since you are near a lake you can get fish and water there easily. I will also give you 12000 Red Crystals as a beginner thing the gods do. Since I can''t let you be naked either I am also giving you 5 pairs of clothing, All of which will be in your storage ring when you get there. I do hope you can become strong enough so we can meet again. Goodbye and Good luck." The next thing I knew, I was completely drowned in white light before dissapearing from the giant white space. Chapter 2 When the white light that was enshrouding me dissapeared, I noticed my surroundings chaged and I was indeed in a forest like God said I would be. There is also a note that seems to have been sent with me, So figuring it is from God, I decide to read it. "If you are reading this it means that you have successfully been transported to the forest safely, Which is good. Before you continue reading this, Please decide whether or not you wish to live within this forest for a while. If you do please press the O if not press the X. When you do that the note will change to match your decision." Live within the forest for a while? Though it will be quite risky, This seems like the better idea for me. I would be able to cultivate longer in this forest and I would only need to clear out the beasts around the area I end up living at so I guess I should just live here for a while. I press the O and the note changes. "Since you have chosen to live in the forest for a while then I will tell you some more information about this forest and help you out a bit. In this forest, Which is the Forest of Death, There are thousands of beasts that are at the True Spirit Realm and tens of thousands of beasts at the Mortal Lord Realm. There are a few hundred beasts at the True Lord Realm or Half True Lord Realm. You should be able to easily fight the beasts below True Spirit Realm once the month passes assuming your cultivation goes well. I do not recommend attacking the beasts at True Spirit Realm or above until your cultivation is at least Stage 6 or above of the True Spirit Realm since the beasts in the forest are mainly in packs. The area you are now is in the middle area around the border to the inner area of the forest. The zone I created for you will protect you for 1 month and after that the beasts will be able to enter, as well as humans so I hope you cultivate diligently and increase you cultivation fast. You can find a river where fish live in to fish for food and get drinking water and bath there, you can also find edible fruits, some that can help with your cultivation all around the forest, Though some will be poisonous so don''t carelessly eat the fruits. Also I forgot to tell you earlier, but your cultivation will be hidden from everyone, No matter how strong they are, As per agreement with the gods. The same goes for all the other 49 chosen. You can also passively feel the cultivation of everybody, including beasts, so don''t be reckless attacking those stronger than you without a plan. I''m sure you can figure out how to build a simple house, So I will see you next time we meet, or if I am able to send you a letter." After I finished reading everything the letter dissapears completely, Probably the work of God. It is good that nobody can feel my cuiltivation because it could make people stronger than me look down on me making it easier to beat them. Since I have a month to cultivate safely, I should find a good spot I would want to live and cultivate there instead of all around the place. I walk around the forest for about 2 hours before I find a good spot to live at. The river is only a few metres away from it and it is quite an open space, So I would be able to build a simple house here without much difficulty. I find a spot I think is confortable enough and sit down to attempt cultivating. Using the information the God of Wisdom gave me before I got sent here, I attempt to find my meridians first, Since that is the first step to everybody when they just start cultivating. Sensing inside my body, Which I don''t really know how that works, I find 11 things a human body on Earth would never have, Quite obviously my meridians. The next step after finding my meridians was to attempt to open them, Which would allow one to cultivate. Naturally, those without talent in cultivating would take a long time, and those with broken meridians would never open them. Though of course I am neither of those, So I naturally managed to open my meridians pretty fast, only taking 3 hours. Now that I opened my meridians, it is time to attempt cultivating. Though I never saw anyone cultivate before, With the information given to me, It wasn''t quite hard to do. I felt the strands of Qi in the air and attempt to suck them into my body. Normally nobody can see these strands of Qi, Only people with rare eye bloodlines, but I am able to do so, Which is probably due to the God. According to the information I got, There would normally be very little strands of Qi around places, mainly where people lived so cultivation was slower, but in this forest, the area was practically filled with strands of Qi, Which is good for me. After 10 minutes I managed to get a strand of Qi into my body, So I instantly guide it into my meridians and successfully have it enter my meridians. Due to that I felt something change in my body, Like I was getting stronger. I guess that happens when you manage to absorb Qi for the first time. Due to getting that strand of Qi into my meridians, It was a lot easier to absorb the strands of Qi in the air, Resulting in my taking only 7 hours to enter the first stage of Mortal Practitioner, Which is genius beyond genius since it normally takes a day for normaly geniuses while 4 days for normal people. Due to that my strength naturally went up by a lot, This also included my senses. I can hear better and see quite a bit clearer, Obviously bonuses of increasing your cultivation. Due to cultivating for over half a day it is already dark now, So I decide to head to sleep. Though I do not have a house yet, It is no problem sleeping outside since it is quite warm. I merely set a fire and head off to sleep. [Day 2] Waking up I take some bread from my storage ring and eat it before getting up and using my sword to cut down some trees to use to build a house. A Couple hours later I got a basic house made with a four walls a roof and a door. It is quite sturdy aswell since these trees are quite tough, So naturally the wood would be aswell. Sadly I don''t have anything I can use to create a bed besides leaves, Since I can''t exactly get leather from killing beasts yet. So I just create a simple bed made out of leaves in a corner of the house while creating a small table and chair with the wood and setting it in the middle of the house. Done with creating my house I also notice that the strands of Qi give literally no shits about obstacles and are passing through my house as if it was the air, not that I mind since it actually makes it a lot easier for me now since I don''t need to cultivate outside. I sit down and start cultivating and naturally the strands of Qi start going around me, as if they want me to absorb them, Which i do. In the end I didn''t manage to enter the second stage but I got infinitely close to doing so, Which is already pretty nuts since it would take a week at the least to enter the second stage normally. I head off to sleep, This time with my somewhat comfy leaf bed. [Day 3] Having already built my house and not needing to do so anymore, I eat some bread for breakfast again and head outside, planning to train my martial skills. The one I first train in is naturally my Striking The Heavens swrod skill. I activate the skill while holding my sword and it glows a tiny bit and I thrust out sideways with it, Which ends up shooting a tiny beam of light at a tree, which creates a hole that is basically miniscule. I don''t get upset at though because I managed to send out a beam already, Which was lucky. I keep training in this skill until it manages to reach the mid level of beginner mastery, which I figured it was time to train another skill. Naturally since I trained in a offence skill, It is time to train in my Lightning Steps skill for movement. I attempt to channel Qi into my feet, Which activates the skill and small sparks of lightning could be seen under my feet. Naturally I am quite lucky since it worked right away and so as to not waste that luck I instantly run around to see if the speed increased at all. My speed did increase, Though it was not by much. If I could run 100 meters in 6 seconds without the skill, then with it I can do so in 4 seconds. Though not bad it is not that good. After a couple of hours of exausting my Qi and using the skill constantly it got to the same stage as my Striking The Heavens, mid level of beginner mastery. My speed increased a lot with that jump, So now instead of 4 seconds it would take me 2 seconds to run 100 meters, Which is obviously pretty damn fast. I train in my Striking The Heavens skill again for another 6 hours, Barely raising it''s mastery to high level of beginner mastery, Which increases the size, speed and damage of the sword beam. It now creates a fist size dent in the tree, Which is strong enough for now. It is already night so I head back to my house to sleep again. [Day 4] Waking up I eat some bread and instead of cultivating I go for a walk in the forest to see if I can find some of those fruits God talked about. Walking around for 5 hours I headed back to my home a bit upset. I did manage to find a fruit, but it was a poisonous one, which I found out by poking it with my sword allowing a small amount of the fruit insides to come out, which instantly turned the ground under it dead. Once I get back to my house I start cultivating right away and after an hour I broke through to the second stage of Martial Practitioner. Since I increased my cultivation, My strength, senses and Qi all increased.Stolen novel; please report. Now that I increased my cultivation I decide to train my fist skill, Fist Of The Angry Dragon. Activating the skill I start to punch out at the air and sometimes trees for the next 9 hours, Bringing the skill mastery to mid level beginner. I did break down 2 or 3 trees though, Since I kept hitting them. I merely tossed them on the other side of the river, since I don''t need any wood now. Since I still have around 7 or 8 hours until I should head to sleep I decide to train my Iron Body skill aswell. It is quite hard to train though, Since I need to have something hitting my body. Since I do not have anybody I can use to hit my body, I think of an idea and activate my Angry Dragon fist skill aswell and start to hit myself in the stomach, just not with my full force. I restrain my power to 30% and constantly hit my stomach for 4 hours and actually managed to get my Iron Body to high level beginner mastery already. My fist skill also increased to the peak of mid level beginner mastery, Almost at high level beginner mastery. For the next 4 hours I cultivate and increase my cultivation to about 60% into the second stage, Getting closer to the third stage. I head on to my room and eat some of the meat given to me in my storage ring then head to sleep. [Day 10] Opening my eyes I find my cultivation managed to break through to stage 6 of Mortal Practitioner Realm, Which made my strength, senses and Qi increase again. Standing up I stretch my body a bit before eating some bread I still have before heading to the river to wash my body. I also catch a few fish and kill them while putting them in my storage ring to eat later, Since the food given to me by God has almost ran out. Getting back outside of my house I bring out my sword and activate my Lightning Sword skill and start slashing around the air, Sending cackles of lightning sounding through the air. I stop after 4 hours since I am tired and the skill level finally managed to enter high level low mastery. Now all of my skills are at high level low mastery, Which is very good since the strength of all the skills increases greatly. I run around the forest while using my Lightning Steps in hope of finding a fruit that can increase my cultivation. After 8 hours I finally managed to find a fruit to help me increase my cultivation, Which I found out by the rich Qi emenating from the fruit. I burn the image of this fruit into my mind so I can find them a lot easier and run back home with my Lightning Steps, increasing the mastery to Peak level low mastery, Getting very close to entering mid mastery with it. Back at my house I stop using Lightning Steps and enter my house before sitting down on my bed and instantly eating all of the fruit. Feeling my cultivation increasing because of it, I instantly start absorbing the strands of Qi around me and break through to stage 7, yet it doesn''t stop. It increases to stage 8 then stops at the peak of stage 8, nearly putting me into stage 9 of Mortal Practitioner. I get very excited because this means that by tomorrow I can most likely enter the 9th stage, becoming a Half Mortal Spirit. I start cultivating for the entire night, instead of sleeping since I don''t need sleep anymore due to cultivation, or if I am insanely tired. [Day 15] Waking up from my cultivation trance I find black gas coming out of my body, Which means I finally entered the Mortal Spirit Realm! This is great. I find that entering the Mortal Spirit Realm, My Qi not only doubled, the purity of it also increased immensely compared to before. Due to the black gas I am starting to smell very bad, So I hop up and run over to the river before stripping off my clothes and hopping in, washing off all of this black gas off my body while coincidentally catching a few fish. I train my Striking The Heavens skill to mid level mid mastery before activating my Lightning Steps and running around the forest for a few hours, actually managing to find 3 of the fruits that help increase cultivation. I am obviously very happy at this, since just that once fruit made me increase nearly 3 stages. I doubt one fruit will do that again, Since I am a Mortal Spirit now, but the 3 fruits will no doubt greatly help increase my cultivation. Running back to my house I cook 2 fishes while eating the last of my bread for dinner before eating a fruit and start cultivating. After 4 hours the effect of the fruit wears out, but I got to the peak of Mortal Spirit stage 1. 2 hours later I enter stage 2 and then I grab the second fruit and third fruit, directly eating both of them before resuming my cultivation over the night. [Day 20] Finished cultivating for the night I get up and stretch before eating a breakfast of nothing but fish I head out and start training my martial skills. I train both the Striking The Heavens and Lightning Sword to the peak of mid mastery, very to close entering high mastery with both of them, before stopping. I head to the river and wash all the sweat off my body before training my Angry Dragon fist skill and my Iron Body fist skill for 7 hours bringing both of them to the mid level high mastery before stopping. Just a single fist while using my Angry Dragon skill can destroy 2 or 3 trees if they are close together and my Iron Body can take 90% of the strength from that fist, So my defence is pretty damn strong now. Like every day I now use my Lightning Steps and run around the forest finding the fruits. This time I manage to find 7 fruits before I head back, Which is above average. There are an insane amount of these fruits around this forest, Which is quite good for me, Since I can rapidly increase my cultivation with these. Getting back to my house it is already dark so I just eat dinner and start cultivating, instantly eating all 7 of these fruits, not at all wasting my time and within 5 minutes I already broke through to stage 7 of Mortal Spirit Realm. After 2 hours I entered Stage 8 and after 5 hours I entered Stage 9. Using the last 2 hours of the fruit duration, I madly absorb Qi strands bringing my cultivation to stage 9 peak before I stop, feeling insanely tired I actually sleep for the first time in 15 days. [Day 25] Feeling my strength double I instantly know that I entered stage 4 of the Mortal Lord realm. It is a good thing that I figured out that the crystals in my storage ring aren''t only used as a currency, but also help with cutlivating. It took me a whole 20 fruits to increase my cultivation from stage 1 to stage 2 of True Spirit, While using 10 red crystals increased my cultivation from stage 2 to stage 4 True Spirit. The crystals actually have double the effect the fruits do now. I figure that after entering True Spirit the fruits use diminish so much it is not actually useful to use them anymore. I do keep collecting them though since they taste good and they do increase my cultivation speed regardless so whenever I see them during my daily run I still collect them. I have around 43 in my storage ring right now. Training my 5 martial skills for the rest of the day, I manage to bring every skill to peak level high mastery, Increases the strength by a bunch. I can run 500 meters in 3 or 4 seconds just by using my Lightning Steps, and even without my Lightning Steps it only takes me about 7 or 8 seconds to run 500 meters. Ah the wonders of cultivation. Eating some fish and fruit for dinner, I take out 20 crystals and start cultivating for the rest of the night. [Day 30] Waking up I know today is the day that the area I am in stops being sealed off and will now have beasts and humans entering it, So I can finally get to fight against beasts so I can increase my fighting skill, Since until now I have only been training and haven''t been able to fight at all due to the seal. Currently my cultivation is at True Spirit Realm Stage 9 peak, Making me a Half True Lord, infinitely close to a True Lord. All of my martial skills are also mid level peak mastery, Having insane strength from all of them, even more so for my Striking The Heavens skill. A single beam from the skill can cut down tens of trees now, clearly showing it''s strength. I get up off of my bed and start eating a fish and fruit breakfast before cultivating so that I might be able to enter the True Lord Realm before any beasts arrive here. I cultivate for 3 hours and do manage to break through to True Lord Realm Stage 1 doubling my strength and Qi while also increasing my senses by insane amount. I can see a couple hundred meters away and can hear anything within 5 kilometers of me now. Due to the increased hearing, I naturally am able to hear the beasts around. I find a group of 5 by the sounds of it 4 kilometers west of me and I activate Lightning Steps and take out my sword before running to them. After a few minutes I manage to get where they are and I notice that they are all just Mortal Lord Realm between stage 4 and 7. They are way weaker than me, but due to me not having any fighting experience I naturally don''t hold anything back or be an idiot. I activate my Iron Body and Lightning Sword and while still using my Lightning Steps I appear in front of the beasts. They look like giant wolfs and when they notice me basically appear out of thin air they all get shocked for a second and I very quickly notice this and take advantage of that and slash out with my sword, Which is currently covered in lightning, at the closest beast, and actually kill it instantly, burning it''s corpse due to the lightning, it is basically just charcoal now. Noticing that I managed to kill one of their pack mates, the remaining 4 beasts roar angrily and attack me seemingly wanting to shred me into a million pieces. I naturally don''t give them a chance to hit me and use my Lightning Steps to jump back 10 meters, dodging all of their attacks. Though they are way weaker than me, I don''t dare to take their attacks head on even with my Iron Body, since I do not know if I will take any damage or not. Due to attacking nothing but air the beasts start getting angry and annoyed and keep attacking me, though their attacks are now way more sloppy and readable. It is just like a dog running at you constantly and nothing else. I obviously counter attack each time they attack and and kill of another 2 of them, leaving only 2 left. I stop using my Lightning Sword martial skill because I want the hide off these 2 beasts to make a better bed. Though it was a bit tough without my Lightning Sword, due to my speed with Lightning Steps it helped me cut the heads of the last 2 beasts alive, not damaging the hide at all. We decide to stop for the night since it is already quite late now and there is no point in walking through the dark. We climb up a large tree and I create a small space inside the trunk of the tree for us to sleep in for the night. This time instead of sleeping I have Tian''er and Yi''er cultivate using 10 red crystals each, Hoping to increase their cultivation by a lot. After handing them the crystals and seeing them start to cultivate, I also take out a few crystals and start cultivating myself. We cultivated for a total of 11 hours and it is currently morning. All of the crystals we were using for cultivation are gone, So we naturally stopped cultivating. When I checked my cultivation I was barely past 20% towards stage 6 of True Lord realm. When I looked over at Tian''er and Yi''er I was so surprised my mouth opened for a bit before I closed it. The reason being that both of their cultivation actually rose from stage 1 True Spirit to stage 4 True Spirit. It would seem that their cultivation talent is quite a bit better than me.. Well who cares. The stronger they get the better, Because I know for sure there will be a lot of True Lords where we are going, and I don''t need them to be so weak they can''t even run from them if need be. I am quite happy with that since that means that we have more time to look around the city to see if there is anything that is useful to us. Mainly Martial Skills. Getting up to the city gate we see a big line so we step in the back of the line. After an hour or 2 of waiting we finally get to the gate to which the guard comes over and talks to us. "In order to enter the city for the first time you need to pay 5 blue crystals per person and touch this ball to get something you can use as an identity in this city." Said the guard. I take out 15 blue crystals from my storage ring and hand them to the guard, to which he has us each touch the ball and it glows. After it stops glowing he looks at it for a minute before he hands us something. "This plate will be used as your identity in the city. If you lose it you will have to pay 20 blue crystals for a new one, So be careful." Says the guard. What is on the plate is actually our name,age and affiliation. Affiliation is obviously a sect we are in, So it doesn''t have anything. It also seems that the age of my current body is 18, Like my last life. Tian''er and Yi''er are both 10 like I figured. Now that we have our identity plate, We enter the city and start to look around. After walking around for a bit we see a large store that sells Martial Skills and we enter it. Inside is thousands of martial skills, ranging from Core grade to a few High Grade. Naturally no Peak or Heavenly grade, Since those are pretty rare. It is a high grade skill that would let someone cut the void in front of them to attack an enemy. The range and strength depends on how much one has trained in it, so it is quite good. As ofr Yi''er we only managed to find 2 skills, but they are enough for now. The first one is a sword skill called Heavenly Slash. Is is similar to my Striking The Heaven skill but is weaker. It allows one to send out a sword wave towards the enemy. Strength and distance also depends on the amount it was trained. The other skill we found for her was a movement skill called Trancending The Sky. It allows one to walk through the sky while using a massive amount of Qi. It can let her walk a few steps in the air, which will help in fights. As for the skills I found one was a sword skill called Slaughterer''s Domain. It let''s me increase my strength the more enemies I kill in a fight. So basically if there is a fight with a lot of enemies, the more I kill during that fight, the stronger I can be during it. The other skill I found was a movement skill called Flipping The Heavens. Like Yi''er''s movement skill it let''s me move through the sky, only mine let''s me fly using Qi instead of taking a few steps in it. We head to the shop keeper and pay 2 red crystals for the skills, Which I find quite cheap. After that we leave and I find a shop that sells something I wanted to get, Which was the basics of formations. I buy a few books about formations and I also buy a few formation techniques. I got a concealment formation, tracking formation and a slaughter formation technique. the concealment and slaughter one are simple ones, but the tracking formation lets me leave a mark on anybody I want, with the limit being 5. It will let me see and hear anything around the person with the mark, as long as I focus on it. It also let''s me speak through the mark on their body, So I can use it to talk to other when I am not there. It is also invisible so nobody can find it unless they also have this skill, but it is a peak high grade skill, so I doubt there will be many people with it. After walking around the city a bit more and buying something to eat we head to an Inn and buy a room. Once we enter the room I start reading all the formation books I bought and after a few hours I finish and I place a tracking mark on both Tian''er and Yi''er so that I can know where they are at any time. It also let''s me send my oppression through the mark, So if they get in danger i can oppress the enemy so they can escape. After that I give them a few crystals and we all start cultivating for the night instead of sleeping. Chapter 5 Opening my eyes I stop cultivating and feel my cultivation, Which is currently around 40% through stage 5. Looking at the kids they are both still fast asleep and seem quite tired, So I let them continue sleeping and I head out of the inn room and walk around the city to get some more information about it while occassionally buying things I find interesting. One of which is a mask that I can use to cover my face, Which will be pretty useful. I also found out that today is the entrance exam to one of the top academies, So I think I should bring Tian''er and Yi''er there because there are alot of martial skills and cultivation resources there, Which can help them both alot. After looking around most of the city I head back to the inn room and wait for them to wake up. I wait around 40 minutes before they wake up and they both hop over to me like usual. I don''t know how they have so much energy as soon as they wake up though.. "Tian''er, Yi''er, I have decided that you two should go to one of the top academies here because they have lots of martial skills and cultivation resources that you guys will need." Now that I am concealed I follow after the crown of people taking the exam and wait for Tian''er and Yi''er to arrive at the examiners. I only wait about 15 minutes before they arrive since the first exam isn''t much. It only finds out their talent, age and cultivation realm before they get sent in or sent out. It seems that they only accept people that are 16 and under, while also only accepting those at Mortal Lord Realm or above. They are both in the first arena and together while more and more people start entering the first arena, while other senter the second and third arena. After a while the examiners say the fights are starting and call out names for each arena. There is a couple of hundred people per arena so it will take a while for it to end. After around 50 rounds it is time for Tian''er to fight and he goes on the stage. It takes another 2 hours for all the fights to end and only around 150 people from the 3 arenas pass the exam and head to the third exam. At the third exam is just a thing where you show off your most powerful martial skill at full power in front of all of the teachers, Basically letting them see if there is any interesting ones to take astheir disciples. There are some people with strong enough skills that seem to be at the peak of Mid mastery while being mid or high grade skills. When Tian''er goes up he uses his Heavenly Claw at full power and it nearly destroys the barrier that the headmaster put up and surprising a lot of people there. I noticed a few of the teachers seem interested in him so he will probably get a good enough master. Yi''er goes up and uses her sword skill and shoots it out at ful power which leaves a hole in the barrier, also surprising the teachers again. It seems that they are both going to get some decent masters here haha. Like I figured many teachers want to take them as their disciples yet in the end they both got the attention of one of the top 3 teachers so the others had to give up and pick from the other kids to take as their disciples. I didn''t expect that one of the top 3 teachers would take both Tian''er and Yi''er as his discples, but I guess it is because of their talent. After a while everyone was taken away by their masters and I followed Tian''er and Yi''er and their master, Who is at True Lord Realm Stage 7, even higher than me. I guess he isn''t one of the top 3 teachers for nothing haha. He takes them to a courtyard that has ten houses and he calls out and 8 people come running out. Their ages around between 13 an 16 and all of them have a cultivation of True Spirit. Some of them are at a higher stage than Tian''er and Yi''er, but most of them are at a lower stage. Their master introduces them saying that they will be his last two disciples and to take care of them. After that he points them to the houses they will live in and they ask if they can live in the same house and he agrees so they both go into one of the houses and look around. The house is pretty good and has a big bed. It also has a table,a desk, a bookshelf and other things. Everything in the house is pretty expensive. As expected of a top 3 teacher. After they talk with the other disciples for a bit their is a few maids that come to them and they have a school uniform ready for both of them. They put the uniforms on and they shrink to fit them perfectly. Seeing that the maids bow and leave and Tian''er and Yi''er take off the uniforms and put them inside their storage rings before they both lay on their bed, probably going to go to sleep. Remembering I told them I would pop up when they are going to sleep I go into their house and remove my concealment and they both happilly jump at me and hug me. "Father! We both got accepted as the disciples of one of the best teachers like you said to! His name is Han Chang." Said Tian''er. "Yea I was watching the whole time. You guys did a good job during the exams. Even I didn''t expect that one of the top 3 teachers would take you both in as his disciple." Said Tang Feng. "Anyways you really did come like you said you would! Can you stay with us while we sleep father?" Said Yi''er. "Yea that was what I was going to do. Everyday I will pop up when it is time to sleep and I will stay with you guys until you wake up. Go on to sleep now, You will have a long day ahead tomorrow since you will finally go to the academy." Said Tang Feng. "Yay! Okay we will go to sleep now father. See you in the morning!" Said Tian''er and Yi''er. They both happilly hug me for a bit more before they jump onto the bed and I put the blanket on them and wait for them to fall asleep before I sit down on the ground and start cultivating with a few red crystals. Ignore this damned thing. Chapter 6 I open my eyes and felt my cultivation and I got stunned before feeling happy because my cultivation rose to stage 6 of True Realm. I didn''t think I would get to stage 6 for another few days, So this is a good surprise. I get up and stretch my body a bit before I head over to wakr up Tian''er and Yi''er since it is almost time for them to head to the academy. "Tian''er, Yi''er, Both of you need to wake up now. You guys have to head to the academy soon, So you better wake up or else you will be late on the first day." Said Tang Feng "Mmm~ I''m awake father.." Said Yi''er. "The bed is so comfy!" Said Tian''er "I bet it is. Anyways you two should get up and change before you eat because you have to head to the academy in an hour or you will be late. You don''t want to be late on the first day, Now do you?" Said Tang Feng. "No!" Said Tian''er and Yi''er. "Than you guys better get up and get ready. I will carry you both to the academy gates so you aren''t late." Said Tang Feng. "You are the best father!" Tian''er and Yi''er said in unison. I watched both of them hurrying to eat their food and change their clothes before they come over to me. I use a cloth to wipe both of their faces since they were a bit dirty due to them rushing to eat and fix up their clothes before I pick them both up in each arm and use my new martial skill called Flipping The Heavens and start flying through the sky. Although it takes quite a bit of Qi for me to fly, I would be able to fly for at least an hour before I need to stop. I don''t know why nobody bought this skill earlier, but I am pretty happy that nobody found it because you normally can''t fly until you become a Half Martial King. I flew for about 10 minutes until I reached the academy. The courtyard that they were both put into is pretty far away and would take around 35 minutes to walk here by my guesses. During the time I was flying them here I naturally didn''t conceal myself with the formation so everybody was able to see me flying with them in my arms, Including people of the academy. This is what I wanted because if they think that I am a Martial King, Then both Tian''er and Yi''er would be treated better and would have a low chance of being attacked by people at the academy that are jealous of their talent or whatever stupid shit they would do. I land inside the academy grounds, Just outside of the academy itself, and put both of them down onto the ground before speaking to them. "Tian''er, Yi''er, You both pay attention to the classes you find useful or interesting and just straight up leave the other classes." Said Tang Feng. "Okay father! Just means that they will be better at the academy with me appearing like i did. Since I know nothing can happen to them in the academy unless some idiot decides to fight them, I can finally go look for that energy I felt earlier. I''m pretty sure it is one of those Source Energies that God told me about, Which means if I can find it my cultivation would rise insanely. I look around the academy and keep looking at everything I pass by in hopes of finding where the energy is at. I look around the whole academy and don''t find anything even though i can feel it and I get annoyed so I was about to leave when I leaned on the wall and noticed something. What I noticed was that their was a secret set of stairs behind a wall. If I didn''t lean on the wall then I wouldn''t of even noticed it. Naturally I go down the stairs because as soon as I found the stairs a passageway opened and I felt the energy even more clear, Which means the energy is most likely down below these stairs. I entered the passageway and as soon as I did the passageway closed and returned to being a normal wall. Thankfully nobody was nearby when I found the passageway or they would probably have freaked out. I continue down the passageway for who knows how long before I finally find a small room at the end of it, and in the middle of the room was an orb looking thing that is releasing insane amount of energy. I instantly noticed that this is the Source Energy, and it is even the Source Energy of a peak Martial King! Just by being near this Source Energy I can see how strong Martial Kings are. I don''t waste any time and go over to the orb and pick it up and I sit down on the ground where it was and instantly swallow the orb and start refining it like God told me how to. I swallowed the Source Energy and directly start refining it inside my body, Not losing any of the energy. It is my first time refining a Source Energy yet it feels like I have done it countless times before. Having insane comprehension is such a huge bonus from God that I am beginning to think he isn''t just a God of Wisdom... It takes me only 4 hours to refine this because it is directly inside my body and the second I felt my cultivation I nearly fainted on the spot! My cultivation went from stage 6 of True Lord straight up to stage 6 of Sky Of Heaven! A whole REALM increase. As expected of a peak Martial King, His Source Energy is insane. My Qi increased by nearly 5 times and I feel that I can fly in the sky using my skill for atleast 7 hours now. It also seems that I can use my oppression and with a mere flick of my sleeve I could probably turn anybody under Sky Of Heaven into a pile of mush and blood. I use my Lightning Steps and arrive back at the stairs in a mere 2 minutes. In contrast to before when I took probably around an hour, My speed increased by leaps and bounds. I head up the stair and once I get to the top I spread out my Spirit Sense to see if their is anybody around the hidden entrance. When I find nobody around I open the entrance and exit before closing off the entrance and turning it into a normal wall again. I feel the seal on Tian''er and Yi''er and find where they are so I run over to them and find them and a bunch of other students at what seems to be a sparring grounds. I watch all of these students spar with eachother and Tian''er and Yi''er both naturally spar with people aswell. They didn''t lose to anybody and Tian''er even beat a stage 1 True Lord. That Heavenly Claw martial skill of his is insanely strong. So strong that if he trained it to max level I feel that even I with my current strength would be severely injured, If not killed by it. Just thinking about makes cold sweat drip down my back. Though I know it is impossible for him to attack me, Just the thought he could have a high chance to kill a Sky Of Heaven cultivator with a cultivation of True Spirit is quite scary. I honestly feel bad for whoever becomes his enemy in the future... After a while it is time for everyone to head back to their courtyards so I casually appear in front of everyone once I heard that and gave everyone a scare and the teachers were about to attack me before they heard a voice that made them stop. "Father!" Naturally it was Yi''er that said it. I ignore the teachers and walk over to Tian''er and Yi''er. "Come. I''ll bring you two back to your courtyard." Said Tang Feng. "Okay." Replied Tian''er and Yi''er. They both jump over to me and I pick them both up in each arm again and use my martial skill and fly into the sky and head in the direction of their courtyard. Meanwhile in the headmasters office at the academy sits 5 people. "Never did I expect that a new disciple had a father that was atleast a Martial King.." Said the Headmaster "Neither did i. I heard some students talking about two students having a Martial King father in the morning but i didn''t put it to mind and thought that they were joking, Yet it seems that it was true." Replied one of the teachers. "Han Chang, Thosoe two are your disciples right?" Asked the Headmaster. "Yes. Tang Tian and Tang Xiaoyi are both my newest disciples. I knew they had a decent backing since they have such high cultivation at their age and it seems they had a father with a huge background." Han Chang replied respectfully. "Good that you got them to be your disciples... You need to take good care of them both because our academy cannot afford to affend someone like him." Said the Headmaster. "I will do my utmost best, Headmaster!" Han Chong replied seriously. "Good. Dismissed." Said the Headmaster. "Yes!" Replied all 5 teachers. ... I brought Tian''er and Yi''er back to the courtyard they were in and by then it was already pretty late so I told them to both cultivate while handing them a few crystals. Naturally I also sat down at the same spot as earlier and took out crystals aswell and started to cultivate myself.
