《Return of The Ruler》 PROLOGUE The Day of Dawn Of Genesis There is a majestic castle which standing tall on top of a hill. It looks so beautiful that none could say that there was any place else, which looks so grandiose as this one. This tower was the home of the ruler of the world KIRIOS. People called him The Ruler. Those who followed him called him Master. But his beloved wife who knew his full name and his origin, called him Reinhardt Maximus, the son of the god of war and chaos, and goddess of life and peace. This majestic castle is under attack by all the races in the world. Reinhardt is sitting on his throne and looking at his seven loyal subordinates and his beloved who are the only people that are currently present in the throne room with a calm and indifferent gaze. All the millennia that he ruled this world, made him immune to any panic. He has a strong mental fortitude. ¡°What should we do my liege? Should we just annihilate these beings that do not even know who they are fighting against?¡± ¡°No, we should capture them and torture them for eternity¡± ¡°We should just enslave them and let them live a life of slavery.¡± ¡­¡­. ¡­¡­. *Sigh* Reinhardt looked at his followers who were bickering between themselves and kept arguing on nonsensical things. An unexpected sigh left his mouth after looking at this scene. ¡°STOP! You are in the presence of Master. Be humble¡± After seeing his master sighing, a blonde long haired follower who was wearing a butler suit commanded the others with a tone of authority. ¡°It¡¯s ok Frankenstein. Let them speak their mind.¡± Reinhardt said to the blonde who is now named Frankenstein in a mild voice. Your Sins make you strong. Use them and build your own kingdom.¡± ¡°I have decided to enter the cycle of reincarnation. Through it I can appease these races that my parents made. And I can also feel the joy that they feel while living their life. From the day I was born, I was an immortal and by inheriting my parent¡¯s powers I became the strongest and got whatever I wanted. I want to feel the thrill of achieving something with hard work. So I will reincarnate.¡± After hearing these words his wife got restless and told him in a shaky tone. ¡°I will also follow husband in his reincarnation. A bright light covered the whole room and when the light went out, Reinhardt was never to be seen. Seeing this phenomenon in front of them, the loyal followers bowed once to the empty throne, where their liege was sitting and teleported to do the things that their liege gave them. The only person who remained there was Elaine. She clearly heard what her dearest told her before disappearing. ¡°Wait for me, Elaine. I will return to you.¡± Elaine started shedding tears but steeled her heart. Because her beloved gave her a very important task to do. As she remembered that she also disappeared from that room. This day will always be known as THE DAWN OF GENESIS in the history when the world lost its ruler or we can say that the world started waiting for the RETURN OF THE RULER. CHAPTER 1 - The beginning of a new beginning None knew that the ritual that Reinhardt performed was not a ritual of reincarnating. It was a ritual that was much more ancient that only the beings that made this world and himself. Reinhardt can be seen floating in the cosmos, with a look of anticipation. ¡°Ah. Even though you two are immortal supreme gods, pay attention to your age. It¡¯s embarrassing to call you guys my parents. Stop bickering like children.¡± In Front of these beings who are also his parents, he was completely casual. If his followers saw their master¡¯s this expression they would, have their jaws dropped on the floor. Since they saw him as a ruthless and cold ruler. It was not their fault since none other than his wife knew why Reinhardt was acting against the races. ¡°It¡¯s enough Rei. Tell us about your adventures, and tell us about our daughter-in-law. Why did you not bring her with you? I was really looking forward to it. And tell me the truth, you did know that she was pregnant and bearing your child and our grandchild! I wanted to hold my grandchild so much.¡±(Gaya) Hearing his mother¡¯s words Reinhardt had a sweat drop his back for his mother¡¯s forgetfulness and replied with a poker face¡±Mother you are forgetting that only supreme beings like us can exist in this cosmic realm, and if we want to bring someone else who is not a supreme being, we can not. So I could not bring her with me.¡± ¡°But why did you lie to your followers and my daughter-in-law about the ritual?¡±The supreme goddess pouted. If other gods saw this sight of the goddess of life and peace pouting like a little girl, they would be surprised as hell. *AHEM* ¡°That would be me. I told him not to tell anyone.¡±(Argon) ¡°But why?¡±(Gaya) ¡°Did you forget, why we sent our son to Kirios to antagonist other races? We need them to be under one banner and not in conflict. And when does the others will come under the same banner and fight together? When they are facing a mortal crisis. I am sure, now the races under one banner can fend off those unholy beings just fine. Wasn¡¯t this the main reason why sent me down their in the first place? And if you are still worried about them, then be assured, since I have ordered my followers to make their own kingdoms. Are you trying to kill your own flesh and blood?¡±Reinhardt said to his father while rubbing the back of his head. *Giggle* Watching the father and son duo Gaya could not stop herself from giggling.¡±You two haven¡¯t changed a bit. Still acting silly.¡± *Ahem* Being not able to refute Gaya, Argon coughed a bit.¡±Anyways, enough chit-chat. Now let¡¯s start talking about the reason why you came. As I have given my word, if you completed the task, then you can reincarnate as one of the races in Kirios. Now choose which race do you want to reincarnate as.¡± ¡°I want to reincarnate as a Human,¡± Reinhardt answered his father immediately, without flinching as though he has decided in his heart. ¡°Human? Why Rei?¡± Gaya could not understand the choice that Reinhardt made. She thought her son would take the Fiend race or the dragon race since they were the strongest. Unlike Gaya Argon just lifted his eyebrows and nodded after he thought of something.¡±I see. Good choice.¡± Gaya got more confused and asked,¡±Why? Tell me Rei.¡± Looking at his curious mother, Rei smiled and replied,¡±There are two reasons. First Elaine is a Human who has achieved divinity and became immortal and I want to spend my life with her as a fellow human. And the second reason is that I think the humans are the strongest race in Kirios. Or it would be appropriate to say that they have what it takes to be the sovereigns of Kirios as you have given them the strongest trait among all the races, The trait ofUnlimited Potential.¡± Gaya finally understood the reason behind her son¡¯s choice and gave her nod of approval. ¡°Since you have decided, let¡¯s start your reincarnation. You will be reborn many years later after the Dawn of Genesis. And since you are reincarnating, to keep the balance between karma stable we can not let you retain your current memories and your abilities. I as the god of destruction and chaos, one of the two supreme gods, Argon give you permission to reincarnate.¡±(Argon) ¡°Take care of yourself my son. I as the goddess of love and peace, one of the two supreme gods, Gaya give you permission to reincarnate.¡±(Gaya) Reinhardt gets shrouded in bright light and starts to feel excited thinking about the unlimited future possibilities that he is going to experience and most of all reuniting with his beloved wife and his child that he never had the chance to meet. *Sigh* ¡°I am coming Kirios to live my life freely and to the fullest. This is the beginning of a new beginning.¡± Reinhardt said under his breath as his body disintegrated into particles and his soul gets sucked into the wheel of reincarnation. ¡°Live your life well son¡± Both Argon and Gaya said in unison. And thus our protagonist reincarnates¡­¡­.. CHAPTER 2 The YEAR 2000 A.G: UNKNOWN POV: ¡®Where am I? Why is it so dark in here? Why can I not see anything? Wait, what is dark? What is seeing? How do I know them? How can I speak? What language am I speaking in? What is speaking? What is language? *Haaaa* no need to think these things. I should just think how to get out of this place.¡¯ Push, keep pushing, it will come out. ¡®Huh, what is this voice saying? Who is it calling madam? Who, there is a pressure that is pushing me. He was wearing a simple villager¡¯s attire. ¡°Ashia, you alright? How is our baby? I heard its cry! Are you both ok?¡± said the newcomer with a panic-stricken expression. ¡°Calm down Ymir. Our son is healthy and we both are alright. Though I am weak, its ok. Look how cute he looks.¡± Ashia said while trying to soothe her husband who was overly concerned about their safety. ¡®So that¡¯s my dad, huh. Well even though he does look lean but, he also is strong. Really remarkable...What the hell is wrong with me? Why do I have the power to judge them, by just looking at them?¡¯ The baby started to frown which was really cute. But to others, it looked like the baby was startled by his father¡¯s hysterics. ¡°Have some moderation, you idiot! Look how you startled the baby.¡± The old lady reprimanded Ymir. ¡°Eh! No way. The baby got startled?¡± Only then Ymir realized how impulsively he acted. Well, he could not be blamed for his actions. He was worried about his wife and their child. But he still felt guilty about startling the baby. ¡°I am a sorry baby; did I startle you. Please forgive your daddy this time.¡± Ymir straight went up to Ashia who was holding the baby and starts talking to the baby in a comical way. *Giggle* The baby started giggling after seeing his father¡¯s comical acts. ¡®Damn my dad is funny.¡¯ (Baby) *Haha* ¡°Stop doing it. I will be given a name? Well, whatever. But let it sound cool.¡¯ (Evil*Ahem* Baby) Ashia held up the bay with her still weak hand with help from Ymir. ¡°He has my sapphire eyes and your black hair. He will look handsome in the future. I know that he will accomplish many great things in his life.¡± Ashia praised her son. ¡°Of course, whose son do you think he is? He will have many great accomplishments like his father.¡± Ymir said with a proud expression. ¡®Yeah right!¡¯ The old lady thought in a mocking tone. Ashia coolly ignored her husband¡¯s hysterics and started speaking again ¡°Although he did inherit your black hair but thank god he did not inherit his looks. He will look handsome in the future and steal the hearts of many ladies.¡± ¡®Thank god I will be handsome.¡¯ (Baby) ¡°What are you talking about? I am not handsome?¡± Ymir got crestfallen when he heard his wife. *Giggle* ¡°Oh stop it. Let me think an appropriate name for our son.¡± Said Ashia to a crestfallen Ymir. Ymir recovered upon remembering the naming of his son and looked at Ashia with expectations. Upon pondering for a long time, she finally came to a conclusion. ¡°I have decided. Our son¡¯s name will be Xenos.¡± ¡°Xenos. A good name. Hahaha. Welcome to our life, Xenos.¡± Ymir got excited and started happily talking to the new-born. Ignoring his father, the baby who just got his name, started to think, ¡°Xenos huh. Yeah, it¡¯s a cool name. Hmm, with me getting my name, let¡¯s start thinking how to find the reason behind me knowing all these things. But first, I am hungry¡± Xenos started crying after feeling hungry. Feed him Ashia.¡± (Old woman) Upon the sudden realization, Ashia consented and started breastfeeding the little Xenos. ¡°You feed him and take care of him while I go to the village elder and give this news.¡± said the old lady to Ashia and looked at little Xenos who was breastfeeding a loving and caring gaze. Ashia nodded and thanked her. ¡°Thank you for all your help, Tesmania.¡± ¡°And you brat! Make sure that Ashia gets proper rest for at least a week and take care of both of them.¡± Tesmania said to Ymir. ¡°You bet! Thank you for everything.¡± (Ymir) ¡°Well, then goodbye and goodnight.¡± Saying that the old lady called Tesmania left their house. ¡°Well then look at little Xenos, he is already asleep. Let¡¯s go to sleep ourselves.¡± Suggested Ymir with delight in his eyes. ¡°Yeah, we should. It took 2000 years for him to arrive.¡± (Man-1) ¡°What should we do?¡± (Man-2) ¡°Nothing. Let us see where fate takes us.¡± (man-3) ¡°Are you sure?¡± (Man ¨C 4) ¡°As he said, we should let fate take care of it. It¡¯s not like there will be a problem.¡± (Man ¨C 5) Two of the remained silence without giving their response. *Sigh* Seeing this sight, the woman sighed. ¡°Then this concludes the discussion. Let us depart. And hope that fate takes care of us all.¡± (Woman) Saying her last words the figure of the woman disappeared from the room without any trace. Seeing her leaving all the other six figures, started leaving as well. In an unknown palace: A beautiful and gorgeous girl in her teenage was sitting on a chair near a window with a book in her hands. She was reading the book with concentration when a silhouette of a woman appeared out of nowhere in front of her. Looking at the silhouette, the girl could not help but happily speak, ¡°Welcome back mom. Did you again go to another meeting with them?¡± ¡°Yes, my dear. And I have a very happy news for you.¡± (Woman) The girl got curious and asked the woman, ¡°What good news?¡± ¡°You will meet your father soon. He has returned.¡± (Woman) ¡°Really! I can not wait to meet him.¡± (Girl) After saying that the girl stared off the window out of expectation of meeting her father for the first time. CHAPTER 3 XENOS¡¯s POV: It¡¯s been one month since I was born in this world. And I got no idea what the hell am I even thinking. Is a baby supposed to know these things? Although I say my room, it is not that extravagant and there are not many things. There is only my crib and an ugly looking doll made of straw and old clothes. Yup, its ugly. The only thing that makes me feel excited ns my only entertainment is when my other tells me about our village, our house and many new and mind-boggling things about this world. Our family is not rich. We do have a house that we can claim ours. And there is a plot of land that our ancestors left for their future generation. My father cultivates many types of plants there or so what my mother told me. There is a rule in our world that no child less than one-year-old cannot leave his home. Apparently, there are things called phantoms that look like mutated beasts roam the wastelands. So for the safety of the children, this rule was passed. Since I am only three months old, so I can not leave my house. I just roll around this crib all day long with this ugly doll. And my parents think I love this doll. How clueless can they get? Anyways let''s not trail off to some mundane thoughts. As I was saying, I still have seven months before I can go out of our house. Although we have a house, it is not a very big one. It is rather small. My mom sometimes brings me around the house. It is a single storied house. There are a total of six rooms. One bedroom, where my parents sleep. My room which only has the crib and that ugly bastard. I am getting nightmares because of that shit. *Ahem* sorry for that. As I was telling, there is one kitchen and surprisingly a moderately sized library. Apparently, my ancestors liked to adventure around the world before settling down here, so we have a room full of their findings during their adventures and journals that depict the outside world and how vast the world truly is. Through the generations, after our ancestors settled here, they also collected many books. Apart from the library, there is also a room where my dad keeps his gears. I am not allowed to go in there before I turn one since there are many sharp objects. And at last, there is a basement. I am not allowed in there at all and my parents did not tell me what is inside there. It''s not like I want to know what is inside that basement. My dad promised me that the day when I show him my worth, he will let me enter the basement. I really don¡¯t want to go to the basement but he seemed very hyped about it. In my three months of life, I have gathered knowledge about many things. Such as there is a power which is used to bend the laws of nature by will. And people call it magic or some call it arcane arts. I prefer magic more. My mother taught me about magic and different types of magic and its attributes. There is primarily six type of magic attributes. Among them, four are said the elemental magic. They are fire, earth, wind, and water. And the rest of the two are light and darkness. These are called unique attributes. If you ask me which attribute is stronger than the other one, then I will say neither or at least what mother told me. Fire wins against earth, earth wins against the wind, wind wins against water and water wins against fire. So they form a cycle.This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. The two unique attributes have their own characteristics. Light is used to heal and bless alongside barrier and protection. But the dark attribute is used for curses, necromancy etc. Other than these six attributes, there is an attribute which is considered to not exist since it is too rare. It is the attribute of Space & Time. People having this attribute can bend the space and time as they wish and are considered to be the strongest attribute holders among all. Each elemental attributes has a higher version of them. For fire, the color of the fire signifies how strong it is. The weakest flame is of orange color and the strongest is of purple color. For water, its higher attribute is ice. For earth it is metal and for wind it is lightning. Mother also told me that every person in this world normally has only one attribute. But there are some geniuses, who possess dual attributes. But there are some who possess more than two attributes and they are considered prodigies. Their number is one in a million. Apparently the number of attributes you have, the more toll it will take on your body. I have no idea how my mother knows about these things but there is no harm in knowing about this world. Also if you are thinking that having dual attribute is a good thing, then I have to say you are wrong and right. Let me explain. Everyone in this world who can wield magic has a magic reserve. It is there not only to show how much magic you can use but to protect you from the influx as well. That¡¯s right, you can not use more magic than your reserve. And the reserve is set when you are born and can only be increased through meditation and training. Since you have a fixed amount of magic at a time, so having multiple attributes mean you will have your magic reserve or what mother calls it, the mana reserve split into two different mana essence. So all of your essences will be cut into multiple portions. So each of your multiple attributes will be weaker than if you had only one of them. It only makes you weaker at the early stages and you can¡¯t reach their higher versions as both of their higher versions might contradict each other. But multiple wielders are still considered strong albeit at the later stages. The reason is that if they succeed in combining any of their two attributes, then they will have a single attribute which will be as strong as any higher versions of the attribute. But in exchange, they lose their two attributes and are left with a single attribute. Mother was not quite sure about all the other combinations of the two attributes but there were some well known combined attributes that she knew. Like earth and water attribute make the wood attribute or more popularly known as nature attribute. Fire and earth attribute make magma attribute. Wind and earth attribute make sand attribute. There are many others that mother do not know and I might find them in the future. Every child gets tested for their magic reserve and magic attribute at the age of five. My mother was also got tested at the age of five and she was qualified to become a mage with a single attribute which was water. Although she was a weak mage since her magic reserve was not that large but she still learned many magic spells. On the other hand, my father was not qualified for a mage since he did not have a large enough magic reserve to learn magic. The magic reserve can be increased steadily but if you reach divinity and acquire your own divine essence then you can use the mana in nature and can have a near infinite magic reserve. But mother did not know about divinity as it was treated as a legend of the past or a fairytale. But I got interested in it and I will research it. Enough about magic let¡¯s go to my dad. He is a warrior who plows and cultivates vegetables in the land that we owned as an inheritance. An easy going man in the truest sense. He is also one of the guards and a member of the hunting team of this village. There is a thing called qi in this world that warriors use to become stronger and more proficient. Dad refrained to tell me anything about qi as I was just a little child of age three months. People generally start training their qi especially those who can not become mages at the age of ten. So I was promised bymy dad that he will tell me everything about qi and warriors when I become older. I am not sulking because of it. Rather I can not wait to become one year old. Since then I can finally see the outside world that my parents talk about and get rid of this ugly doll. And I also want to find why I know these many things even though I was born just three months ago. Who am I? Or rather who was I? With determination and anticipation filled eyes I am feeling sleepy. Well, cannot be helped. I am going to sleep. CHAPTER 4 XENO¡¯s POV: Hurray! I finally became six months old and six more months to go before I can finally go outside and see the outside world. Well, there is still a lot of ways to go before that happens. But I finally learned to crawl. How awesome is that! Bow before me mortals for I am a super genius baby who can crawl. (Author: Consider him saying this internal monologue while laying in his crib and making guts pose.) Though it was tough in the beginning I persisted on the hard road of crawling. Now that I have mastered this art of crawling, I can explore this vast land called house on his own. Goodbye ugly doll bastard and no more mother carrying me around. I can go on my own. It¡¯s been two weeks since I started crawling and it feels awesome to move from one place to another on my own. Though my parents do get worried when I go on my short adventures around the house while they do their chores. It is mainly around the time when my mother starts cooking that our lunch that I go to our library or the storeroom of the journals of our gypsy ancestors. I have been going there for one week now and I need to do it while others do not notice me doing it. Because they might doubt something after they see their six months son reading the journals. Well, I will talk later about them first come to my looks. I mean come on, is that cute little baby really me? It amazes me whenever I see myself in the mirror that is in my parent¡¯s room. I mean look how cute I look. Well, it is expected as my mother is gorgeous. HEHEHEHE. I can see my future handsome self, having a harem right at this moment. (Author: *Gasp* Pervert baby. Call the cops. ¦²(?§¥?£») ) Let''s get back to my findings in the journals. And I found some interesting stuff there. Like how the world is divided between races and how the ancestors of all the races united under one banner and fought against the demon king. Though the name of the demon king was never passed on and it was a taboo. But the races won and harmony came to this land. Not much detail is written but there is enough for me to assume that the demon king was evil or at least it is what they thought. Well, whatever it is not my business. Now you all must be thinking what is my last name as I never mentioned it. Guess what, anyone other than nobility and royalty does not have the last name. So here I am a six months old village boy who I don¡¯t know how can understand and comprehend things that kids can¡¯t with no last name since I am from a village and a country bumpkin. Lets no go too deep. Let''s just dive into the world and races as I was really curious about them from the time my mother told me about many tales about elves, dwarfs, giants, dragons etc. Apparently, there are six races in the majority and others are minor races. There is not much about the minor races but mostly about the major races. There are six major races in this world and each has their own continents. Yes, a whole continent. Like the continent we are living in is called the human continent since humans have the most population here. Through the ages, the aces transmigrated from one continent to another and all the continents have mixed races. But there are still major races in each continent. The major races are Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Fairies, Beastmen, and Dragons. Each came from their divine ancestors and through time the divine blood got diluted and the races became weaker than they once were. The humans were called High Humans, Elves were High Elves, Fairies were Fae, Beastmen were called Warbeasts, Dwarves were called Dwarf Masters. Only Dragons kept their blood undiluted throughout history.The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. There are also minor races. Like the half breeds, titans, giants, demons and vampires and many more. Apparently, vampires are not what people used to think about them, they do not just suck anybody¡¯s blood. Rather they only suck the blood essence of their life partner¡¯s who hardly gets affected by it. For them sucking blood or blood essence to be more specific is kind of a ritual of marriage. Going to the continents, there are ten continents. Yes, ten continents in total in this world whose name my father told me as Kirios. Six continents are dedicated to six major races. In the rest of the four one continent is called the demon continent, where the previous demon king reigned supreme. But in this age that continent has not been explored. It was last explored when the Day of Dawn occurred. Yup, I read and heard about Day of Dawn from my parents. It really blew my mind away when I read it. Anyways among the three remaining continents, one continent is only dedicated to criminals, where crime rules and a safe haven for criminals. One continent is ruled by this world¡¯s largest merchant organization and the last continent is called the eastern continent which is a secretive continent that does not interact with other continents. The six continents that are dedicated to the six races have many many kingdoms that are ruled by their respective major races. So in our continent, all the kingdoms are ruled by humans. As my ancestors were not that strong so they never left the Human continent but only roamed this continent for centuries. I would really love to adventure through these magnificent continents. Well, that can wait. And this is the general summary of what is written in the journals by my ancestors. Other than this there is only their daily life ramblings. After finishing the journals in two weeks I am finally going to read the books from today. And am waiting for mother to go to the kitchen. *Clank* There she goes. Now let''s move. Bye bye, ugly shit. (Author: He really hates the doll) Slowly and silently lets crawl into the library. After much crawling Finally, I reached the library. Now let¡¯s see, where the book was that I wanted to read. Since I am crawling, I can only reach to the lowest shelf and read only from them. There not many books on this shelf and only the journals are kept here. Well, thanks to that I read all the journals. Now let''s see where the book was. Ah found it. The traits and skills of the races are the names of the book. I was really looking forward to reading it and knowing what kind of cool abilities do humans have. Let''s read it. First is elves. Oh, It says that elves have an ability to control trees that are beside them even without having the wood mana. Cool. And they also have the racial trait to live for centuries and they are the second most beautiful race in Kirios. For dwarves their racial trait they live for approximately for hundred and fifty years and their racial ability is smithing. Well, that I knew from the tales I heard from mother. As for fairies, not much is known about them other than that they have near infinite life force so they are practically immortals. The wisest and old race is dragons. And each dragon has their own unique abilities. The beastmen have more brute strength than humans and elves. Their racial trait is that although they look like humans they have beast parts in their body. And their racial ability is that they have the sixth sense which warns them about any imminent danger. Well enough about other races, let''s go to the humans. Can¡¯t wait to see what is written. ¡®Humans do not have any specific social transit or ability other than being more fertile.¡¯ The book says what? ?_? (Author: What? ?_? ) ¡®But there is also a theory that some philosophers say that the humans have the strongest racial trait and it is not high fertility. It is Unlimited Potential of Growing.¡¯ What is that? What does that suppose to mean? Whatever I don¡¯t know anymore. Lets just put the book back and go back to my crib before mother catches me. UNKNOWN POV: Unknown to Xenos when he was crawling back to his room, someone whispered in his soul that he could not hear due to being too young. That racial trait of Unlimited Potential is the soul reason why I...no why we chose to be born as human myself. CHAPTER 5 XENOS POV: Ok! Finally, I am five years old today. So that means today is my birthday. Yahoo! If you are thinking that I am this happy because today is my birthday and I have just turned five then my friend you are right in a way but you are also wrong in a certain way. I am this happy because today is the day when I will be checked for my magic ability and other abilities. Let''s hope its something awesome. I am will be going to the village leader¡¯s house with my parents the since the priest will come there and check my attributes and abilities. I am so excited. Oh yeah, I nearly forgot I bet you must be excited about knowing what happened in this four and half months that you missed. So, don¡¯t fear because I will tell you everything while going to the village leader¡¯s house. (Ashia): ¡°Xenos. I was just reading the books in the library.¡± ¡°You and your library¡± replied mom with a gentle and doting expression. ¡°Stop the nonsense of reading the books. We all know that you were just dozing off. If you don¡¯t stop dozing off from time to time then I will just have to give hugs on a regular basis to keep you to your senses.¡± dad said to my exclaim with a smug face. Remembering those bear hugs from my dad when I was little, sends a chill down my spine. I mean he would just call me cute and squeeze me to his heart¡¯s content and then rub his spiky beards on my cheeks. *shiver* ¡°No no, I was really reading books. Let''s go I am ready now.¡± I had to reply with a wry smile. ¡°Well enough talking. Let''s go you too.¡± Seeing us bickering with each other mom watched with a love filled expression and started to walk towards the village leader¡¯s house while having a glint of sad look which looked she was reminiscing something from the past but she got rid of that expression soon. Unknown to her I noticed that look but I just shrugged it off since if mom did not want to say something, you cannot make her talk. ¡°Yeah coming honey. Let''s go Xenos¡± While I was thinking dad started following mom and I followed them. Alright, now that we are on our way, let me tell you about the things you missed in this four and six months. Sometimes I think who am I even talking to? I really need to stop doing it. It freaks me out too. Anyways let this be my last monologue that I am going to tell some imaginary person. (Author: Yeah let''s hope ??? ) FLASHBACK: So the day when I finally learned about the races from the books in the library, two days after that I said my first words. I mean I tried my best since I needed to do some incantation and for doing that I needed to be able to speak. So I tried my best and spoke my first words while mom was carrying me. And the first word that I spoke was Mama. Well, when mom heard me saying my first words and them being mama, she just squealed like a little girl and started showering kisses on me while hugging me more tightly.Stolen novel; please report. When dad got bac home in the afternoon, he heard that I finally spoke my first words and e got really happy. And then he started asking me to call him Dada. Well I really don''t mind saying it and it was also helpful for my vocal chord to develop easily if I said new words. Thinking this far i finally said Dada. That was one of my greatest regrets in my life. That was the day that he gave me my first ever Bear Hug. I still remember that dreadful feeling of getting squeezed and getting your cheeks rubbed by beard. The pain that I tolerated that day, scarred me. While I was making that pitiful expression, mother just ignored it and happily sat there and my did kept giving me the bear hug. That was also the day when I saw how my mom betrayed me. Enough about this rambling. As I was saying I started practicing saying many new things though most of them did not get pronounced correctly but I still stuck to it. Hoping that I will be able to speak earlier than others and may even able to start my magic training from an early age. And at last, when I became one-year-old I was finally capable of speaking simple words. And it was also that time when I went outside of my house. I finally saw how beautiful this world looked and how magnificent the vast land that my dad cultivated was. Vast lands of a field full of crops which were swaying ever so lightly in the mild wind. At the end of the field, there was a vast forest which encircled our village completely and the only thing that separated the forest from our village was a simple fence that the villagers created. It was truly a sight to behold. Looking at my mesmerized look, mom and dad made fun of me and I had to return to reality. But it was truly magnificent. I finally felt like after one year of roaming in the house, I am finally free. Our house was on a little hilltop which was near the centre of the village where the village chief lived with his family. And because of that I got a clear view of the village. The houses in the village were spread across a vast land which made the village look very big. The village was surrounded by mountains in the four sides which were spread across after where the forest ends. Truly my village was beautiful. My parents carried me across the village and bragged to other villagers who were very happy to see me. I found out that my father was one of the supporting pillars of our village and the lead hunter. So everyone was respectful towards him. They were truly humble and kind. I am really happy to see the place I was born in has such kind and warming people. After introducing me to literally every person in our village they brought me to the chief¡¯s place. The chief was an old man with a grandfather vibe. He had a hunched back and used a stick to walk as the old age got to him. And surprisingly the old lady who helped me at my birth, Tesmania was the chief¡¯s wife who helped pregnant women of the village to give birth. The chief did not have any children so they loved the children of the village as their own grandchildren. The chief and Tesmania were really happy to see me. They cuddled me and gave me sweets to eat. But as I was too little to eat sweets, I could not enjoy them. After talking to them, my parents took me back to our house and later I came to know that the name of the chief was Claus. When we reached our home, my parents congratulated me on my first birthday and unexpectedly there was no concept of celebrating birthdays among commoners. Only nobles and royalties celebrated their birthdays. After dinner both mom and dad made me sit in a chair and they sat in the opposite direction where I was sitting while facing towards me. The exuded a serious atmosphere, so I also paid attention to what they were about to say. (Ymir): ¡°Listen very carefully Xenos the reason why you were not allowed to leave the house before you were one year old is because there are dangerous monsters roaming outside the fence. They are called phantoms and they feed on the mana essence. And the infants before turning one year old, they have raw mana essence inside of them. And that attracts the phantoms towards them. In cities it is safe but in secluded villages like ours it is not that safe so they are only allowed to leave their house before the mana essence inside their body starts to concentrate when they turn one year old and form their mana core which is also the mana reserve. That¡¯s why we did not let you leave the house before you turned one. But you need to remember that even though no raw mana is flowing inside you, that does not mean that the phantoms will not attack you. So you are not allowed to leave the boundary of the village.¡± ¡°I understand father.¡± I nodded seriously to my dad¡¯s words. I already knew it by reading about it in the books and that is also one of the reasons why I wanted to be able to speak since I have my mana reserve at the age of one and I will try to use magic. *Ahem* My mother coughed a little to get our attention. (Ashia): ¡°I know that you understand Xenos but remember one thing that you should not try to use any magic before you become five years old. I know that you like to read, since you always let us read the books in the library. But you must remember that if you used magic before you turned five then your body will not be able to withstand the influx of the magic and it will vaporize. So no magic before five years old.¡± *Gulp* I unknowingly gulped the saliva that was being stored in my mouth. So that¡¯s why all the books mentioned practicing magic after the age of five. There goes my perfect planning o practicing magic ahead of everyone of my generation. I guess it was a good thing that I childishly asked my parents to read me books from the library by pointing at them because of which I could read the books which were at the upper shelves and out of my reach. (Ashia): ¡°Do you understand my words, Xenos?¡± (Xenos): ¡°I understand and will remember mom.¡± (Ashia): ¡°Good, as long as you understand.¡± After that conversation, we went to sleep and I spent the rest of my time before turning five in the library, reading the books. Even though I could not use magic tat does not mean that I should not store as much knowledge as I can. FLASHBACK ENDS While I was reminiscing about the past years, we finally reached the village chief¡¯s house. Let''s enter it and find out what my future beholds. Sorry for not uploading recently Hey guys! I am really sorry for not uploading any new chapters for the past few weeks. My college just started after the semester break and I needed to prepare for it. Also, I had to help one of my university professors, under whom I am working as an intern and helping in his research, to sort out his notes that he acquired from his research in the last month. So, I barely even got four hours of sleep each day, let alone writing a chapter. The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
