《The Balanced Deity》 Prologue In a house floating above the planet which stood below, a girl sat in a chair that seemed like it was made out of gold. In front of her was a screen that could see everything in the world below. On an island, full of forests, with a huge lake in the middle. There wasn¡¯t much else on the island, only a tiny bit of grassland. In a forest remote from any sentient contact, she spotted a new species developing. In a forest that seemed as deadly as it was big, a group of 5 people stood in a circle. It wasn¡¯t clear what these things were, but they seemed to be developing intelligence at a fast rate. After observing them for a few days, she noticed a few things about them.If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
  1. They were very simple, not having any skills such as hunting.
  2. They could not fight, as they had no knowledge of it.
  3. They were slowly dying off.
They wouldn¡¯t have survived much longer without help from the outside. She wanted to experiment with this. Before this, the deities created their races with the traits they wanted them to have, they never evolved. She initially forgot about this idea she had long ago but was reminded ofit by the creation of the new species. So, she decided that she would limit the power of the deity of this race, and see how they evolve. She swiped her hand to the right, and a new screen stood before her. This time, it was people who recently passed and have not had their soul recycled. She quickly picked the brightest soul she could see and closed the screens. With a slight smirk on her face, the girl on the throne snapped her hands. And thus a newdeity was born. Chapter 1 | The Adru A few days passed since the deity was created. Over the past few days, a light not visible to the naked eye began shining as brightly as a diamond over the forest. Strangely, it seemed that the light was slightly moving. It always seemed to be directly above the new species. After a few weeks of development, it began developing thoughts. At first, it looked at the world as something that had nothing to do with him, but gradually he himself noticed him following strange creatures on the ground. To relieve his boredom he began watching them. The creatures he decided the call Adru. He didn''t really know why, but this word kept repeating itself in his head. The Adru themselves were not thriving, in fact, they were barely surviving. They lived off fruits and vegetables. Not because they couldn''t eat meat, but they didn''t have the skills to kill, skin or cook the food. However, getting any food in the forest was incredibly risky. With the lack of population accompanied with it, a bad hunt could even end their entire species existence. To prevent being hunted, they were always on the move. They only stopped when necessary. This continued on for a few weeks until their luck ran out. In the middle of a small clearing, five Adru laid on the ground, barely having enough energy to move. During the last few days, they caught the attention of a wolf-pack. After they killed one of their group members, the wolves found out how they loved this meat. So the Adru have been on the run for the last 2 days straight, not daring to stop moving. They actually had 8 members when they fled, but one died from exhaustion and the other two were chased down by the wolves. It was only until a few hours ago that the wolves let up, probably because of how far from their home they ran.You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. The Adru were relieved by this but soon collapsed on the ground. They had no energy left. Only two of them ate in the last three days, and those two were kids. The kids themselves just looked like miniature versions of the Adru. Since their species just evolved quite recently, they haven''t developed many traits specific to their race. As of now, they seemed like a weird blend between a human and an elf, with a little bit of some other species mixed in. If humans saw the Adru right now, they would probably be called demons and hunted down. The elves may be a little nicer and leave them secluded on their island, but they could still kill them whenever they wanted. The Adru, still laying on the ground examined their surroundings for food. There was only one tree with fruit growing on it. They seemed like large apples but tasted like peaches. They had a strange orange shine to it, but it was better than nothing. The problem was the height of the tree. To get the fruit down would require the effort of three Adru. But, only the two kids could move. Even they couldn''t move around freely. The Adru accepted their death very lightly as if it didn''t care or even know what death meant. They grew up in a kill or be killed lifestyle, and thought it only natural to happen to them. The kids, however, were scared of the unknown. They began letting out a rough scream. With their vocal cords not functioning correctly, it sounded like a mix between a boar and a baby kitten. It may have sounded threatening to people in a peaceful environment. But here it didn''t even scare flies. This strange sound flew its way until it reached the soul floating above it. The soul began watering. It began to cry but didn''t know why. It felt the strongest feeling it ever felt before. With all of his willpower, it wished that food would come to them, that they didn''t have to starve to death. He focused on the fruit hanging on the tree, and with every fiber of its soul, will the fruit to fall. The stem that connected the fruit to the tree began weakening, but so did the soul. The soul began fading out of existence, but it still didn''t stop. Finally, he managed to destroy the stem, causing the fruit to fall down, landing in front of the eyes of an adult Adru. Without even thinking, it reached his arm out, quickly taking a huge bite out of the fruit. The soul didn''t stop though, he moved on to the next fruit even quicker than the first one. The Adru picked the fruit up and threw it towards one of the others. Exhausted, the soul began fading out. The radiant glow of light began fading, and it turned into a ball no thicker than a peddle found on the ground. The soul then turned into an almost solid black, going into a deep slumber. Chapter 2 | Awaken After being sent into the void for so long, he gradually began to awaken. The soul cleared up a few things. He decided that he must be following the Adru for a reason. Maybe he is supposed to protect them. He decided that until they had more information that he would protect and help them. After knowing more information, then he would decide what to do. The second thing is that he felt he needed a name, so he could feel like a real person. He decided that he would call himself Pavin. There wasn''t any real meaning behind this name, he just liked it. After these decisions were made, his soul began slowly pushing the black essence out of it. It was slowly gaining its blue light back. For Pavin, this was a huge shock to him. It was as if there was fog clouding his brain and it only just disappeared. He felt he could think clearer than he ever could before. This wasn¡¯t just his imagination. After the black essence began to seep out of his soul it took some of his souls'' impurities with it. This strengthened the soul, making it so he could influence more things around him. This refinement of the soul continued for a few more years. In that time the Adru have somewhat survived. They were still at the bottom of the food-chain. But after the wolves attacked them they began to learn how to sneak about. This increased the survivability of the Adru. As they could now get food a little bit easier. They still have not learned to fight, as they just hid when they saw creatures. This didn''t always work, but it was an overall improvement. They didn''t have any physical developments though. This was mainly because of the lack of meat in their diet. This slowed down the evolution process. The only thing that changed just slightly was their hearing. It developed to be just a little less than human beings. This was not bad, but taking into consideration the humans safe cities it doesn¡¯t do much in the way of help. They could detect footsteps now, but they still were not fast enough to run away. It was slightly meaningless now but had the potential to be something great. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. He spent the next few years in his soul by sleeping. All that was left to do was wait for the impurities to leave him, so he had plenty of time. It took around 30 years until he was finally able to see light again. The black essence blocked everything out, but now he could see again. The radiating blue light once again fell upon the forest. The leaves on the trees began shaking as if they couldn''t hold in their excitement. One of the trees, in particular, stood out to him. It was a young sapling who seemed on the edge of death. All its leaves were dark-gray and curled up. But it shook with everything it had in it. Some of the leaves even fell off their branches, falling onto the forest floor. The tree was located on top of a hill right next to a lake so wide it seemed like the sea. All around it was other trees that have already died out. It was the last tree left. Pavin lowered his soul down until it was on the same level as it. The tree, as if looking towards Pavin stopped shaking. Pavin kept staring at the tree for what seemed like ages until he eventually said with a smile ¡°You will do.¡± Pavin began infusing his will into the tree itself, giving it rapid growth. The tree didn''t move its leaves at all, completely trusting Pavin. Pavin kept at this for a few minutes, trying to find out just how much will he could exert. It stopped at around the twenty-minute mark. Pavin''s soul was fading slightly but it was not flickering in and out this time. Pavin said with a smile ¡°I guess that''s as much I can do for now.¡± He then glanced up at the tree, which had grown around two times the typical tree height. It was around 11 meters tall and had leaves with a dark blue tint growing on it. The bark seemed as if it could withstand a cannonball. It also gave off a mysterious aura that kept creatures away from it, ensuring its survival. The leaves suddenly flashed a brilliant blue tint, before fading away just as fast. The tree let out an odd grown which sounded like an amplified sound of a twig being split in half, before going silent again. Pavin looked at this with a bit of interest before making an assumption. ¡°It probably just went into a coma. I wonder when it will come out.¡± Pavin muttered lightly, then flew back up above the tree lines and continued to watch it''s people. Chapter 3 | Weaponry After Pavin began watching them again, he noticed that there was no weaponry. Nobody had anything to defend themselves with. This was a very big problem. If the Adru''s luck was bad enough they may even become extinct overnight. Pavin had to fix this problem, fast. Pavin looked around the surrounding forest but found nothing but sticks and tiny stones that weren''t big enough to have any use. After staring at the ground for a few minutes, Pavin said while still deep in thought ¡°Well, its better than nothing.¡± Pavin decided to wait a night and then figure out how to inspire people tomorrow, as the Adru were all grouped together. It would be better if he would inspire a person when they were alone. The night flew by like lightning. There wasn''t much that happened in the forest at night. It was eerily silent, with just the slight sound of buzzing in the background. Most of the animals here relied on their strength and agility to fight. So almost all of them didn''t go out at night because of the huge disadvantage it brought with it. However, there was always an exception. The Falo always loved to hunt at night. They had great stealth that could be used even during the day, but it was easier to hunt at night for them. The Falo were the natural enemies of the Adru. They both relied on their stealth abilities, but the Falo were miles ahead of them in terms of skill. The ¡®Imitation¡¯ the Falo saw the Adru doing upset them, so whenever they got the chance they would gladly kill the Adru.Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. The falo themselves looked like a swan but had some major differences. Their body was entirely pitch black, and so were its feathers. Even their eyes were a dark gray. They had a weird skill set that set them aside from other animals. They could contract their body until it was no bigger than a rock, even taking on the same texture. The only way you would find out it was an animal was if you touched it. They still had their feather feel to it. But barely any animal could touch these feathers and get away. They were an apex-predator who wanted to exterminate everything that had similar skills as them. The Adru as of now were near the bottom of the list. But who knows when they will move up? The Adru woke up at dawn, and immediately checked their surroundings. After seeing no immediate threats they sent a single Adru to check the nearby forests for food as well as enemies they should avoid. The Adru, who looked taller than the average person for the species was around 6¡¯1 inches. He began the hunt as soon as he was everyone looking at them. They still haven''t developed any form of communication but their brains are still slightly evolving. Even though it''s not much it could bring out a huge effect if they begin fighting. The Adru had been walking around the nearby forests for about an hour before I began. Unsure how to go about this I sent a little of my will into his brain trying to gauge a reaction. And to my surprise there was none. Confused, I tried to send more of my will towards his brain. But it still didn''t work. Puzzled, I looked towards his brain to realize it grew slightly bigger. And in his eyes was a flash of light. It was as if he was just following a formula before. But now it seemed as if he is in control of himself. Still not satisfied I try another way of doing this. I move to where he is looking and insert will into a small stick that had a slightly pointed end. As if drawn to it he looked at the stick, then he picked it up. I then inserted my will into the point on the stick which caused him to look at it. I kept inserting my will until I almost passed out until he finally thrust his hand on the point heavily. This caused a huge gash in his hand, but he didn''t show any signs of pain. He only showed curiosity. He decided to run back and inform the other Adru of his discovery. Chapter 4 | Useless Watching the Adru run back to the group MC decided to follow along. After a few minutes if running back he finally met up with the group. The group, seeing the running Adru thought he was being chased and were about to run away. The Adru saw this action and waved the stick in his hands gently. Seeing the Adru so calm made the others rethink. They decided to stay back as it looked like he wasn''t being chased after all. The Adru approached the others with a stick in his hand. This was very odd to the group, and most felt uncomfortable. Stopping a good distance away from others he began to move the stick around in his hand until he pointed it at the wound on his opposite hand. The Adru did not understand what this meant, so he decided to thrust the stick into his hand once again. This time even more blood came out. But there were no screams. They Adru now began to look interestingly at the stick. But most of them did not see a practical use for it. They''ve never killed an animal before and didn''t know for sure how one died.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. They didn''t think this would do much damage to animals if at all. The adults looked at it like it was entertainment. Only the kids were dreaming about the hero they could be. After quickly dismissing the revolutionary weapon the adults went back to the site they stayed at last night to finish packing up. They¡¯ve recently felt as though there were something watching them, causing them to keep moving. From dawn to dust they barely ever stopped. Sad about the reaction of the rest of the group, the Adru decided to hold onto the stick to knock down fruits from trees with. They quickly moved through the forest for the rest of the day. The total time they stopped hadn''t even been one hour. After nearly 18 hours of hiking, they decided to stay the night. They found a river that seemed to have lots of fruits around it. It was also densely covered in leaves that fell to the ground. They quickly found things to sleep under. One Adru slept under a rock while another one slept in the open. This was the only way they had to express their personalities as of now. The sky quickly faded into darkness. The darkness seemed like it extended into the forest, turning the messy ground into a dark brown that was hard to see. In the surroundings, a very odd even unknowingly happened just a few moments ago nearby. The Falo had been attacking their biggest enemy at the moment. They were a variant of normal wolves called shadow wolves. These wolves only left their caves at night and detested sunlight. The Falo hated this and wanted to kill all of them. There were multiple dens of these shadow wolves across the forest, but the biggest den by far was nearby the Adru. In the middle of the night five Falo snuck into the caves, they went through the caves silencing anyone they find. In the first 20 minutes alone they killed over 300 shadow wolves. However, this was just the beginning.
