Wow.. that''s a lot to read I guess, but still where are the elements?
Before I even had thechance to say something another blue screen popped up once again
I had been teleported to a starting area. There were hundreds of people here some were frightened some were screaming and some were crying. Me, on the other hand, I was smiling like a lunatic. Did I feel bad about it? No, not even in the slightest.
Panic ensued, people were trampled by the hoard of people rushing to the stalls to get weapons others were scared out of their minds and simply curled up in a foster position. Me, on the other hand, laughed at this pathetic sight. I simply waited for the people to take weapons and then simply walked in slowly.
I was presented with a choice of picking either a Sword, Bow, Spear, Mace, Staff or Shield and Club.
Maby there is some kind of inspect ability?
As fast as I uttered the words a blue screen came up.
Hmm..the system was quite convenient I must say, to answer questions immediately.
I thought for a while before picking my weapon. The shield and club were the smartest to pick as I did not have any training in any weapon and anyone could use a club and the shield offered excellent protection against most things. Only a fool would choose something else.
I pressed the Yes button and instantly the chain around the shield and club disappeared. I grabbed the Shield and club, from the wall where it used to hang. For some reason it made me feel stronger and a bit safer.
Let''s see if it gives any bonuses or something.
Yeah...Well, that''s retarded.
Before I even had the chance to call the one who designed this system a son of a bitch. I saw the big blue screen in the middle of the room.
Oh, fuck here it comes.
The day everything changed part 2
A crackling thunder could be heard everywhere in the arena. Suddenly a blue lightning beam smashed down in the middle of the arena. The impact of the beam was so powerful that it made people fly over ten meters. The lightning beam had left a smaller crater in the middle of the arena. There was black and white ash that had been created when the lightning beam struck and a lot of dust had been kicked up into the air, making it hard to see. When the dust finally started to settle a hundred white and gray fluffy balls could be seen.
These fluffy white and gray balls of fur could easily be mistaken for peaceful and kind animals, but believe me when I say that I had never before witnessed such terror in my life. The Killer rabbits looked like normal rabbits, but there were some things that really stood out. The Killer rabbits possessed razor-sharp teeth and a 30 centimeters horn on their head. The teeth were made for dismembering flesh and the horn was made for impaling anything that came to close. Just how many people did die by getting impaled by the spike looking horn that the rabbits possessed and just how many did die by being torn to pieces by the razor-sharp teeth? To many people, way too many people had died.
The scenery had turned from being a white and clean arena into an arena where dead people laid everywhere. The floor that was so polished that you could see your own reflection in it had turned into a sea of red blood with body parts scattered all over it. Not only had this arena turned into something from a horror movie, but it had also turned into a game of greed. When people realized that they could take the items and possessions of the fallen. They started purposely letting people die. Instead of fighting together they instead let their fellow humans die.
Me, on the other hand, I just sat down next to a gigantic pillar in the corner of the arena and patiently waited for either the people or rabbits to die. Why did I do so you might ask. Well, to be frank, I was unsure of who the real monster was. Was it the rabbits who had furiously slaughtered countless humans or was it the humans who had let others die, just so that they could satisfy their own greed? While I was trying to hide from both humans and rabbits I took the privilege of searching through the corner of this arena. The reason why I did so was that there might have been some kind of special item with special powers hidden here in this arena. Unfortunately, I did not find such an item instead I found something way more dangerous and deadly.

Oh, fuck.
Not wanting to die, I tried to slowly walk back to where I came from. Before I even had the chance to take my first step, it instantly charged against me. I just barely managed to block its attack with my shield. In less than a blink of an eye, it attacked again. I tried to throw myself a bit to the right, but to no avail, it still hit me. My right shoulder got cut, fortunately, it wasn''t something severe. The rabbit prepared itself to charge for the third time, but this time I was ready for it. I raised my shield and blocked the full force of the rabbit''s horn attack. The horn had pierced right through my shield and gotten stuck in the wall behind me. I instantly let go of my shield and started to hit the black rabbit with the club. The rabbit squealed while I beat it mercilessly with my club. After hitting the rabbit for what felt like an eternity it finally died. Exhausted I feel back and leaned myself against the wall while watching over the dead rabbit''s body. After a small while, it started to burn for a couple of seconds.
I guess that''s how they despawn.
Where the body of a black rabbit once used to be there was now a ring. The ring was black with golden runic inscriptions. The texture of the ring felt like an uneven piece of stone and it was slightly warm.
I picked up the ring and put it in my pocket for now.
It had passed around one hour since the rabbits had been spawned in and the massacre had begun. I checked how many rabbits there were left, to my surprise the majority of them had been killed.
I slowly ventured back to the main part of the arena to meet up with the survivors. What I saw could only be described as hell. Before the killer rabbits got summoned there were at least between a thousand and fifteen hundred people here. Now there was less than a hundred and it was still going down. The last two rabbits had put up a valiant last stand taking down as many humans as they could before they died, but after taking down more than thirty people the damage had built up and they died. The reason why I could give such an accurate description of what happened was because I stood around two hundred meters away and watched my fellow humans get slaughtered. There was no reason for me to help them and why would I risk my life trying to kill deadly rabbits for some strangers for free?

A zoom sound could be heard for a second and before I knew it we all stood outside a huge door made of some kind of otherworldly material.

Welcome to the Information Center!

I was dumbstruck by this gigantic door. The door had no end, it was like looking up in the sky without ever seeing an end. The door was made out of a mirror-like metal. You could see your own reflection in it, but for some reason, it felt like it was a warning for those who were about to enter. It was mocking us "look at yourself" it was meant to say.
I looked at the people standing next to me. The people who had looted and killed other people for their own gain.
Wait.... hahahaha.
It was hilarious, we had been summoned here with only our own weapons and some very basic white clothing. All the things which were stolen or taken had been removed from us. I couldn''t contain my laughter at all.
Hahahahahahahaahh.
I could feel the eyes of the other people around me, watching me as if I was insane. Who knows maybe I was insane?
In the near distance, I could hear phrases such as "eww disgusting" or "has he lost it", but I did not care at all. It took a little while until they noticed why I was laughing. The faces they made, when they realized that they didn''t have the items or anything besides their own weapons and a white monk-like hoodie which reached from the shoulders down to the feet. It didn''t even take 10 seconds for someone to threaten me.
Random guy: Stop laughing or I will make you stop.
Hahaha... really dude.
He raised his mace and was just going to hit me. I raised my shield to block the incoming attack, but before the hit landed a blue indestructible wall appeared between us.
I breathed out heavily.
phhuuuu.
I thought I was going to have to fight again and my body was once again tense. After breathing out I realized that he couldn''t do anything here. So, what you might think. Well, yeah having the mentality of someone very well mannered and wise I did what anyone would do. I taunted him beyond belief.
Haha.. weren''t you going to stop me from laughing? Oh, can''t you do something you worthless subhuman piece of shit?
The guy was red of anger and once again raised his mace to hit me once again and once again the blue wall came between us.
|
Warning repeated offense, fighting is not allowed.
Warning: Guardians will be spawned next time.
|
It seems you can''t do anything to stop me or can you?
Random guy: You will see, there will be a next time.
Yeah, right, let''s see about that.
Before I had the chance to say anything a blue screen popped up in front of everyone.
|
Enter the door to proceed to the Information Center.
|
We slowly walked towards the door. You could hear the steps in the absolute silence that had been created from the message. When we finally reached the door it swung open. There were bright lights and it was as if all the air in the room just got sucked out. I quickly raised my hands to block out the bright lights, but after just a second it was as if we were transported into another world.
Infront of us were three hooded figures sitting on top of huge thrones made out of what looked like marble. The hooded man raised his hand and a blue screen popped up in front of all of us.
|
Welcome to the Information center!
You will now begin the evaluation and information program.
|
I was instantly teleported into a small room and I guessed the others had also been teleported into similar rooms as I could not see them anymore. There was only a small stone pillar in the middle of the room and a small orb on top of it. I went forward and put my hand on it and instantly I was bombarded with information.
|
Welcome to the Information Room
Your world has now been fully integrated into the system. You will find that some things are not like they used to be and other things might defy that which you call logic.
The System will now explain the following subjects Elements, Spells, Stats, Gear, Item, Tiers, Levels. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
Please select one of the following options: Elements, Spells, Stats, Gear, Item, Tiers, Levels.
|
Ehhh how do I select?
|
To select an option simply think about selecting a certain option and the system will automatically choose it for you.
|
Hmm, seems like its integrated into our heads or something. I selected elements.
|
Elements are categorized in two different ways 6 main Elements and 6 Subelements.
Everyone who has enough Mana can use all elements, but using a spell from an element that you don''t have any affinity for will cost twice the mana and be twice as weak. Using a spell from an element which you have an affinity with will boost the spells overall power depending on the percentage of affinity you have with the element. Having a 100% affinity with an element makes your spell a lot stronger than if you were to have a 40% affinity with it or a 0% affinity with it. Casting a spell and having 100% affinity with the element that the spell uses will boost the power of it with the same percentage as your affinity.
People may possess a maximum of three affinities the rarity of possessing 3 affinities all with the max percentage is 1/1 000 000 000. The majority of the human population possesses one element and the average affinity is 85.3%.
All elements have a compatible element that can boost your spells or affinity. The amount it will boost it also depends on your affinity with both elements. Spell power will be boosted with 2.5% per 10% of your second highest element meaning that if you possess the first element with 100% and the second element with 80%. It will give you an extra 20% boost in overall spell strength.
|
It seems that I might be one of the luckiest people on earth. I thought about spells and another blue box popped up.
|
Spells are categorized in five different ways.
There are mortal spells which are tier 1-100, Heavenly spells which are tier 100-200, Accended spells which are tier 200-300 and God spells which are tier 300-400. There is also divine level spells which one can learn a maximum of 4. One can only learn one Divine spell every 100 tiers.
Tiers
Every tier has 10 levels of spells meaning that to reach the 10th level of tier one you need to be level 10. To reach the first Divine spell one must be level 1000. One may learn a spell that is maximum of 10 levels or alternatively 1 tier higher than then one current level. One may learn a max total of 3 spells per tier.
Spells
Nearly all spells have elemental affinities and are therefore categorized as eitherFire, Water, Earth, Air, Darkness, Holy, Ice, Lightning, Mist, Steel, Death, and Light. One may also combine certain types of spells to create a different type of spells. An example of this would be the "illuminate" spell which could either be created by using a combination of holy and fire or simply created by using Light. The "illuminate" spell has many subversions such as "dark illuminate" which is created by using the darkness element.
|
So that has to mean that you can reach at least level 4000 and the maximum amount of spells one could possess at that level was 903. I selected stats next.
|
Stats
One receives 5 stat points every level normally some classes or titles may change this rule to a degree, but the absolute maximum amount of stat points one receive is 10 per level. The stat points can be allocated to either Power, Strenght, Dexterity, Agility, Wisdom, Intelligence, Endurance, Constitution, Charisma or Luck.
(Open Status to see what the certain stats do)
|
|
Gear and Items
Gear works solely from levels and can either be created or dropped from monsters. Certain gear has certain requirements such as Class and level requirements, but some gear may have other hidden requirements or other requirements which must be fulfilled before the gear can be equipped.
Items, on the other hand, work solely from tiers and can either be created or dropped from monsters. Certain Items can do the reverse effect if used improperly or if used with the wrong class. Items can be very powerful if used correctly. Certain items may have a max usage or limit per day before either depleting or breaking.
|
I selected the last option which had not been explained.
|
Levels
Levels indicate a person''s overall strength.
One willbe able to receive the first class after reaching level 10 and one may possess a total of 5 Main classes and two subclasses.
Certain items or gear or classes may have Level restrictions or requirements.
Certain places may not be accessed before reaching a sufficient enough level.
|
|
All options have now been selected you will now receive the rewards for completing the tutorial.

You will now be teleported to Earths first and currently only megacityYlegate.
|
I was teleported to what could only be described as the worlds biggest city. There were skyscrapers reaching over 10km into the sky and buildings where ever I looked. There were Shops, Mansions, Houses, Apartments, and so on. There was nothing in this city that couldn''t be described as huge or massive. Around the entire City were gigantic walls reaching over 400meters in hight. The walls had a light gray coloration all over themand the building in the city was made out of many different types of metals, woods, and otherworldly material. There wasn''t a single street light from what I could see, instead, there were small crystals put on small pillars that were glowing a bright light blue.
I turned around to see that what could only be described as the last of humanity was next to me and behind me. Next to me stood over a hundred million people It was unfathomable it felt strange, It was strange. Suddenly a strong voice of an old man broke the absolute silence that existed.
Welcome to the Great city of Ylegate, you will now be allocated to your new homes in the 51st layer of the city.
Living in the city part one
It had been three months since we were summoned to the megacity Ylegate. The life here was very typically aristocratic. The city consisted of 52 Layers. The most other layer was the slum. In the slum, you could find anything illegal, dangerous and criminal. The majority of the people in the slum were extremely poor and had barely anything to survive on and those who had something to survive were dangerous criminals. This layer was still better than living outside the city, where monsters roamed. The 51st District was the place where we were housed. The 51st district was an entire other world compared to the 52 district. The 51st District could be compared to your normal city before the System came into power. There were shops, Affairs, Kiosks, normal workers and so on. Many people had simply resumed living like they did before the system came into power, but many had also chosen to continue their life as adventurers, but even so, many of these people changed their minds when they had stepped into their first dungeon, well at least those who survived did. Some people had even taken up the task to reach some of the inner districts in the city, by either earning themselves a noble rank, earning enough money or reaching the level required to enter.
People who lived in certain Districts had either a certain amount of power or social standing or as it often as they had both. The districts had official and unofficial names, for an example, the 52st District was often called by the unofficial name "The Slum or The Shadow District, but its official name was "The Second Wall". The name had come from the fact that it was the Second wall against the enemies of the city in the case that the first wall was to be breached. There were also certain groupings of districts that people could move between without the need for permission, of course, a person from a higher district or a higher social status could move freely between the districts lower than them, but they still needed permission to enter the higher districts. The 51st to the 42nd district was called the "Commoners Districts", peoples levels here were often below 100. The strongest person in the "Commoners Districts" was the Knights captain Foucher the stone wall. The name came from the fact that he had a 90% elemental affinity with earth and used mostly defensive spells. He was known for being a man of great fairness which the commoners respected, but some people thought this was only a facade since he had been caught with having certain items which were out of his reach.
Every 9 layers had a smaller District solely for soldiers. The public reason for these was that they existed to protect the civilians in case the walls were to be breached, but everyone knew the real reason for these. They existed to protect the people living in the higher districts, from the people in the lower districts from even being able to see them. They kept the people in check and made it impossible for people to reach the inner district without sufficient social standard or power. The first guard District that was placed just outside the 52nd district had around 10 people over the level 200 and the rest of the soldiers were between the levels 70-120. There was also the "slum Knight" Edun whos level reached 240. The name came from the fact that he was born in the slum and that he was rarely seen outside the high walls next to the slum. People could not even think about getting past the 11th distinct that had guards and knights over the level 1000, but that was not the scariest part. The scariest part was the old general, the man who had spoken briefly to us before sending us all to the 51st district. His level surpassed 1700. It was unfathomable, what kind of human could possibly reach that level? The worst part was that he was known as the weakest of the 52 Generals and there were rumors that the strongest General had reached the level 3000 threshold. To make it into a perspective the average person in the "commoners district" had a level between 3-50 and some very well established people had a level of between 50-70. I, on the other hand, had a level of 4..... your average level 100 could probably kill me by just thinking about it. It made me feel hopeless but still made me feel so refreshed and energic. Finally, I had something to strive for and something to reach. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
The grouped districts were as followed; The Commoner''s district was from the 51st to the 42nd district, The Merchants and Adventurer district, was from district 40 to district 31. The people who lived here were either Adventurers, Shop owners or merchants. There were also some smaller or lower nobles who lived here. Then came the "Sect district" which housed many various Sects and Groups. These groups were either religious or simply sects that possessed power. They had the districts from the 29th to the 20th district, then came the so-called "Noble district" which housed the most powerful and rich members of society. These people had both the power and authority to nearly do anything. They lived in more lavish houses or skyscrapers than what people could ever dream about. They possessed such amount of wealth that it became extremely easy for them to gain levels while nearly doing nothing. Expensive equipment, Potions, Bodyguards, Class scrolls, Skills and so on could all be bought. Sure some of the items that existed in this world could not even be bought by them, but they had such an advantage that it could not even be described with words. It was as if Bill Gates would have fought you in court for an obvious crime that you had committed. Not only would he be able to afford the best lawyers and bribe the court, but he would also be able to pay for anything that could help him no matter how expensive. The same could be said for the Nobles, but instead of having to go to court and bribe the Judge they were instead the Judge. The Noble district started in the 19th and stopped in the 9th district and while you came higher and higher up in the Noble district the wealth and power kept increasing. The last Group District was known as the "God District". The name came from the fact that only people who had an absurd amount of power or wealth could ever reach this place. The so-called "God District" had the best mage schools, Institutions, Libraries and so on. The first layer which was also known as the "Kings Mansion" had a massive mana crystal, it was dark blue in colour or at least that''s what we were informed of. The mana crystal was used to create a massive mana shield around the entire city to protect the city from incoming damage.
I checked the time limit before the dungeons were going to start to open.
|
3 Months left of the Grace period.
|
I could finally choose my class, you had to wait for 3 months before being able to choose your class. It had something to do with people choosing the wrong class and choosing things which they did not understand. I walked over to the mages guild, the building was a smaller floating skyscraper. It was still massive, but compared to the building near it was still way smaller. As soon as I entered the building I could hear the voices of hundreds of people talking. The inside of the building was both technological and magical. The walls had an old dark green colour that contrasted with the elaborate golden decorations and exquisite chairs and so on. The roof was held up by Roman pillars that were painted black and had mana crystals inserted into the, everywhere I looked I saw an extream amount of power or wealth it was overwhelming. I made haste to get my class and continued with all the procedures to obtain my class. The good thing about the mages guild was that it existed everywhere, everywhere meaning in every district and selecting your class was done for free and so was changing it. After I had filled in all the paperwork I put my hand on a similar round globe that I had seen in the tutorial, but it felt much weaker in comparison. When I put my hand on top of it I was presented with a huge amount of options to choose from.
Living in the city part two
I was bombarded with so many blue screens that I almost took a step backward. It was overwhelming it was as if someone had just thrown a 2000 pages essay in your face. The first thing which I saw was the so-called "Instructions".
|
Class Instructions
The System categorizes classes by with two different systems.
The first system is the rarity of the class and its availability.
The System has assigned Ranks for this first type of system.
The ranks are as follows; Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Mythical and Legendary.
These ranks will not give any type of bonuses or powers. Instead, they will work as an identification of how hard it was to obtain that class.
The Second system is the MAX-power a certain class can reach.
The System has assigned Ranks for this type of system.
The Ranks are as follows; G, F, E, D, C, B, A, S.
These ranks will create the limitations and give the class its powers.
A class with the Rank A can only use spells from G-A and a class with the Rank C can only use spells from G-C
You may change all classes except the first class every 100 levels.
|
It seems that choosing your first class will have quite the big impact in the beginning, but not so much towards the end.
I selected the class option and started reading about all the various classes there was a lot of classes to choose from, but there were only a few classes that had a power above B rank.

After inspecting all the options a particular one stood out to me. The Necromancer, it was a scaling type class that started out weak but could reach the highest rank. The Necromancer class also had a great affinity with the death and darkness element making it even better for me. The choice was obvious I had to choose the Necromancer class. I selected the Necromancer class and instantly it showed me another blue screen which made me smile like a lunatic.

I stared at the blue screen for what felt like an eternity before pressing the yes button. As soon as I pressed the yes button dark forces instantly surged out from the orb and into me, it did not feel painful at all, it felt as if I was remade into something else, something more powerful. When I turned around to walk out of the room where I had chosen my class, I saw a reflection in the well-polished metal that the walls were embedded with.
Wait.... WHAT?
Myskin had turned veiny and white and it seemed as if I had been dead for a while. Blue veins could be seen everywhere on my body and the worst part was my face. It was as if you could see every major vein on my head, but that wasn''t even the worst part. The worst part was the eyes it was as if I had lost all the color in my eyes, only a slight tint of black could be seen. When I opened the Status screen I understood why.

Random woman: Wow I never thought I would see them it''s actually them!
Random guy: Yeah, I can''t believe my eyes either its actually them!
Random guy 2: I wonder why they would come to the beginners magic guild.
Random woman: Who cares, I''m going to go and watch them and maybe they will even talk to me.
Random guy 2: Yeah, good luck with that hahaha.
It seemed that it was something quite unique about the fact that a team called "The 9 Red Shields" had come to this beginner magic guild. Also, it seemed that this building was called the "beginners magic guild". I walked out of the room and ventured down the halls and made it to the main room where everyone had gathered. What I saw could only be described as stupid. It was nine men between the ages of 24-50 and all of them were wearing Red knights armor and gigantic shields. I could barely stop myself from laughing at these clowns. I did not care In the slightestfor these people so there was no way that I was spending my time watching them. I started walking towards the door, but just before I was about to open it I heard someone shouting towards me.
