《Bloody Angel》 Beginnings Blood, Crimson Blood. The color of a certain boy. Deprived of everything because of the desires of others. Village burned while parents died. Yet a hand stretched out to save the boy. No mortal, no savior, the filthy hand of a demon. ¡°Answer me, why art thou lost all heartfelt and dear?¡± ¡°Because I wasn¡¯t strong enough.¡± A young boy sat hopelessly next to a wall with corpses and blood splattered over it. In fact some otherworldly creatures may call it modern art. However that statement would neglect the lack of life and destruction of a whole livelihood. ¡°Cease thy speaking. You have no thought. If thy was in thou situation, instead of whimpering like a cowardly goblin, thy should have used the brain to contribute to defend all dear. Power cannot consolidate protection alone. Even dragons, who dominate who territories cannot use express their dense without wisdom.¡± Towering over the boy was a demon, three horns stretching out from a revealed spine with a face indescribable by any common language deeply contrasting his fanciful Western attire. ¡°Hmmm?¡± In the corner of his eyes, the Duke perceived a bookshelf full of antiques in the burned remains of a hut. Sticking out was a thin and flat screen with a protective cover surrounding half of the mechanism. The demon reverted his attention back to the child still in a state of fear and dismay.Stolen novel; please report. ¡°Son of man, retrieve that Grimoire for thyself.¡± The child still tearful, slowly stood up and retrieved the Grimoire. Upon touch, the screen lit up and flashed, recognizing its new owner. ¡°Brilliant. Son of man, thou has had all devoured by slaughter. Instead of falling to the depths of despair I pronounce hope upon thou. Hope paved with the blood of thy enemies and fight against the vile desires which mortals succumb to. With Grimoire in hand, become might and find thou path. Be warned though, path does not matter as bloodshed will follow. Young son of man, does thou desire wisdom to accommodate strength?¡± The demon extended his hand. ¡°Come and I will teach you wisdom.¡± At that point the young boy made a decision affecting the fate of his life. He would be feared and revered. As the boy took the Duke¡¯s hand the demon spoke. ¡°I, Dantalian will teach you not to struggle and be weak, not with power but with wisdom. All you have to do is wear my sigil. Son of man what is thy name?¡± The child stood up still clearly frightened and traumatized ¡°Akieal Fanlus, sir.¡± ¡°Well then young Akieal, don¡¯t leave anything behind.¡± The young boy stared at his home before entering the remains of said house to handle a black garb, simple and dark on the outside but a mild layer of scarlet on the interior; a mask of a sinister smile and dark, sharp eyes presumably worn by his deceased father; and finally a misty pearl orb. ¡°Come, salvation from this place awaits.¡± The young boy nodded and the demon snapped his fingers. After this day this world would be forever changed, for better or for worse. In Another Time Few years later. SHHHHINNNG. A sharp sound of metal resonated within a building of bureaucracy and finance. ¡°Someone call the police!¡± A middle age women yelled out among the lines of customers who saw the horrified remains of decapitated tellers in front of a young man dressed in a mask and an oversized cape. A sword dripping with blood could be visibly seen, horrifying any mortal who is not used to the sight of blood. Suddenly as another man was pulling out his phone. ¡°AGGGGHHHH¡± Was his last words before he turned into a slump of flesh and blood. A hollow voice of oppression rangin the ears of the survivors. ¡°One call, one gun, one person is all it takes for the rest to be slaughter like cattle.¡± Suddenly the voice turned into one typically heard in an elevator or a train, ¡°Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, please make no moves or sounds. Thank you very much.¡± With that all the remaining people stared into what was left of the man who dared to take action. CREAAAKK The study metal door which gave way to the vault was bent by an unseen force. Concealed by the smoke a shadow creept in ¡°permanently borrowing¡± everything of financial value and storing it into a mysterious pocket dimension. What is strange is that the masked man looked no different from entry to exit. The young man appeared, leaping from the decimated vault door to the main entrance of the bank. However a peculiar opponent was waiting for him.A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. ¡°Step back evildoer!¡± A muscular man with a wrestling mask hurled towards the thief, knocking him to the cold marble floor. The young man quickly rolled to the side before the vigilante crushed him with his weight. With sword quickly drawn, the caped man stepped back, preparing to anticipate his enemy¡¯s next move. At the same time the wrestler chanted and began to glow a solemn red. "Bull''s rage!" The crowd cleared the path making a circle to ensure each witness would not get hurt in the conflict. Then the caped man closed in on his target and appeared to swing his sword at his opponents neck. The wrestler ducked only to realize the fake out by getting brutally kicked in the stomach. ¡°Argh.¡± The man grunted as blood spilled out of his mouth. Creating a small pool on the floor. The caped man began to swing his sword down to cleave the man¡¯s shoulder from his body. However the attacker was struck in his side with the fist of the wrestler. Before the masked man could react, a punch sent him flying across the room, landing on an ATM. Suddenly the masked man¡¯s eyes changed color from black to yellow as he got up from the floor. The air was tense ¡°You are foolish.¡± The presumed wrestler lunged at the figure on the floor, causing his head to crash into the hard floor. But the young man simply rolled over again and stood up. ¡°What are you going to do murder me?¡± The wrestler, now sweating got up from the floor and this time attempted to punch the talker. However his fist was caught and his shirt was being pulled towards the masked face. ¡°Look at the both of us. We are no different. We use force to obtain our goals. Only difference is that your goal is fame and mine is power.¡± Though the mask was hiding any indication of facial expressions the wrestler felt eyes sharp as nails and a crooked smile not much separated from a scythe. ¡°Now dissipate.¡± The unfortunate man felt an unseen force choking him while the masked man threw his corpse into the horrified crowd. The man didn¡¯t breath. ¡°Have a wonderful evening, ladies and gentlemen.¡± With that the caped man waltzed through the door leaving a crowd of onlookers silent and horrified at the display of crime. Conflict with the Law ¡°Are you going to complete the contract, A? I still need the information on that monster thing you used.¡± The young man driving asked while the murderer who sat next to him took off his mask. The two sat in a levitating car strolling in the dead of the night in a gloomy metallic suburb. The driver was outfitted in a uniform cap and jacket. Fitting the persona of a taxi driver to avoid any suspicion from bystanders. ¡°I used the power of the undead creature, ¡®Slender.¡¯ Supposedly a ghost of an important person who died among unknown circumstances¡± ¡°So is this possession power unique to your class, Possessor?¡± Possessors, one of the three major classes of summoners. Like their name implies, they can possess the power any creature as long as they have their souls, or when it comes to higher beings, part of their soul. However this requires the creature in question to have their soul torn out of their corpse, or a hefty bargain with the gods. Because of this few people use this class much less know about it at all. ¡°Yeah, so unless you want to change classes it''s not something you should look into, J.¡± Most of the time in order to switch classes, the person has to accomplish some quest and find a willing scribe who will usually jack up the price really high. Since its expensive, most people rather earn their second class than go through all the trouble. ¡°Oh well, the split is 60-40 so where is the cash?¡± A small portal appeared in the backseat. Peering inside reveals an assortment of compacted microchips all neatly organized by name on a metal security rack. Each chip could store vast amounts of stored fiscal data. If stolen, exclusive access to accounts typically vested in the power of the banks could be abused. ¡°It all seems to be encoded so you will need to take it a hardware specialist to open it.¡± The driver sighed then spoke. ¡°Well easy pickings aren¡¯t exactly easy as people say.¡± ¡°Where are you headed after this affair,A?¡± ¡°Probably escape the country in a few hours. Maybe sell off this data after I find stability.¡± ¡°So where are you---¡± The sentence was cut short by the abrupt sound of sirens and flashing red and blue lights. ¡°Well shit, the fuzz is here. Hey, A, can you do some of that possessing thing to keep us clear?¡± ¡°That¡¯s why I¡¯m here.¡± Akieal opened the sunroof and climbed up after grabbing his sword. ¡°Come to me, Slender!¡± Akiael yelled out as an illusion of a faceless pale man in a business suit appeared behind him with ungodly tentacles reaching out in all directions. The view could be seen a trio of helicopters flashing a spotlight upon the escape vehicle with guns ready and aimed. Meanwhile a quad of cubic machine with multitudes of weapons approached the robed man and his stash at an incredible rate. As the helicopters fired, Akiael stood his ground and took out a Grimoire. ¡°Unholy Protection¡± As the chant was said the bullets raining near Akiael reflected off an invisible field. A larger Fifth machine rolled up behind the other four which seemed to indicate that it was the one giving orders or had valuable importance. Through the glass of the cube shaped vehicle, a group of 9 people with a clearly defiant Suddenly the cubes each opened their tops in a coordinated fashion to reveal large, tank-like guns aimed at the escape car with a gunner ready to aim. ¡°A, get those Cubicals off our back.¡± Akiael closed his eyes and concentrated. Then the true nature of his summoned creature was revealed as the summoner shouted, ¡°Illusion of the Lost.¡±Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! The soldiers who previously aimed their guns at the getaway vehicle aimed at each other with their pupils rolled back in a spark of insanity. ¡°AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA¡± One of the gunners laughed in madness as he shot his fellow comrades and fell in turn. Four of the cubic vehicles exploded as they shot each other. However eight more cubes continued to roll up attempting to fire at the vehicle. The helicopters started to take action and bombarded the vehicle with flashes of rapid energy. ¡°Better do something A, our makeshift armor can¡¯t hold up for long.¡± Akiael then revealed a array of knives and homemade explosives under his coat and with a little support of the power of Slendy threw an explosive up at the helicopter. Which then missed as the helicopter dodged with ease, yet the explosive struck two of the cubes. ¡°Worth a shot.¡± The launcher whispered to himself. However the helicopter fire began to focus onto him. ¡°Tsk.¡± Akiael then jumped from the getaway car on top of the different cubes attempting to fire at him which caused the helicopters to inadvertently fire at their ground support. All the while Akiael made his way to the large cube. Akiael then stepped on a ramp in front of said vehicle and grasped onto the window using the tentacles of the pale man. ¡°HOLY HELL¡± The driver freaked out losing control of the wheel while a short haired blond lady with one eye and a military vest grabbed a pistol and shot at Akiael while shoving the driver off and taking control herself. ¡°You there, prepare to route the culprit.¡± The women pointed at one of the few soldiers in the vehicle with her. ¡°Yes Ma¡¯am.¡± The soldier started to launch the mounted plasma cannons on top of the vehicle. ¡°You there, get him out of here¡± She spoke as she pointed to Akiael who was glaring with a nasty smile directly at the woman. As the man fired on the caped man, he fell off and was nowhere to be seen with the feeling of a bump shortly after the criminal was shot down. ¡°All units prepare to commence Plan B.¡± On man spoke into the radio set on the interior of the vehicle. The helicopters began to surround the getaway vehicle preventing any movement via aerial fire. ¡°Squad B, are preparations ready?¡± The women spoke into a headset. ¡°Yes Ma¡¯am.¡± A voice came through in response. The Cubical continued to chase the getaway vehicle down the road until the sight of red and blue flashed off the metallic spikes and electric fence set to stop the getaway vehicle. ¡°Damn it.¡± The man known as J knew that the end may be in sight as he was forced to push the brakes. As the chase narrowed its end both the culprit driver and the lead investigator met face to face. ¡°I¡¯ll admit that it was difficult to predict the specific time the robbery took place, but your crimes end here.¡± The blond detective spoke as she walked out valiantly from a successful capture. ¡°Erika Ganbus, the Industria Republic¡¯s officer turned investigator, what a pleasure to meet you and your lovely one eye.¡± The investigator struck the driver in the private area with her foot, displaying her fury towards the man¡¯s comment. ¡°Flattery will get you no where, your ring has tried so very hard and I¡¯ll admit it was hard to track you, but in the beginning of the end is here for the Socrates Group starting with you, Jion Wallace.¡± Sweat was visibly seen on J¡¯s face, as the detective¡¯s soldiers aimed at him while he was recovering from that sensitive kick. ¡®Damn it A, didn¡¯t kick the bucket yet did he?¡¯ ¡°Now you have two options, surrender and you get a lighter punishment of casual water boarding. Or we do this the hard way and extract the information from your brain.¡± ¡°I¡¯ll pick option number three.¡± The man spoke just before the vehicle responsible for ending the chase exploded into pieces. With a half-masked man with a tire mark on his coat walking from the flames. ¡°Men, fire at will!¡± ¡°Truth of Man!¡± The scathed man shouted as his eyes seemed to flash as the soldiers staring at him turned into madmen. ¡°Why do we fight?¡± One man yelled. ¡°Why do we fear?¡± Another yelled. ¡°Why do we spite another?¡± One from behind the barrier shouted. Suddenly the men started to injure themselves, by hitting their heads on the hard pavement below them or by smacking each other silly. Even the soldiers in their copters were affected, causing them to crash into nearby buildings. The investigator, momentarily shocked by the display of violence by her own lackies, got moving and attempted to fire her pistol at the culprit. ¡°Easy there, sister.¡± Jion held Erika¡¯s neck in a choke hold as he pointed a knife into her right eye. ¡°We wouldn¡¯t want to lose another one would we?¡± As the slaughter died down with no survivors remaining, the driver, Jion spoke first. ¡°What should we do now, boss?¡± ¡°Move the earnings to the Cubical machine, I disabled the tracking functions on it so we should be fine. ¡°And her?¡± Jion pointed to the clearly pissed investigator. ¡°I¡¯ll deal with her. Now get moving.¡± Jion shoved the captive towards Akiael. ¡°Lets cherish this moment to be alive shall we?¡± The man spoke in the most innocent manner like he just didn¡¯t indirectly murder at least 20 trained soldiers. ¡°You, are you even human?¡± The woman scowled as she spoke. ¡°No, I¡¯m not, while you are here tell your upper brass this message. Another crime will be committed, this time at the Department of Finance. Whether your client cares or not, is up to you.¡± Sweat rolled down Erika¡¯s cheeks as she was attempting to read her opponent. ¡°But before you go I have a¡ bloody gift for you.¡± The 71st Goatian Demon Angels are the symbols of Heaven. Messengers and actors of the different Gods who reside in the realm untouched by mortals. Representing obedience and servitude, they are the divine symbols of order willing to shed blood to kill themselves for their heavenly masters. However it is strange, they only take orders from gods deemed hallowed. They do not heed the words of Zeus or Ra. In fact they are so selective some wonder who they really serve. Demons on the other hand, are creatures of freedom at its core. The strongest rules those weaker. If those who are unsatisfied by their mandate, then they are forcibly removed by the power of another. However despite how angels and demons clash over order and freedom, the two ideals cannot exist without one another. An example of this is the Goatia Demons. 72 power demons who pillage, steal, and murder at their own disposition. Yet they band together in the name of progressing demon-kind and hold a code of loyalty in oath. What irony it is. ¡ ¡°Here is your earnings.¡± The caped man spoke. ¡°Pleasure doing business with you. Repeat customers are always welcome you know.¡± ¡°Do you have any connections in the city of Praglast?¡± ¡°Contact my boss and we¡¯ll let you know.¡± ¡°You really are trying to get yourself killed aren¡¯t you? Messing with demons never turns out well.¡± ¡°I¡¯m not the one using a forbidden, ancient power you know.¡± ¡°True, hope to never see you again.¡± ¡°By the way, does your master always have that old accent?¡± ¡°Only to mess with people. Now get out of my sight.¡± ¡°Anything for a customer.¡± The caped man walked away towards a dark alley as Jion rode off. Akiael, with bag of chips and sword in hand, chanted a spell. ¡°Secundum Septuaginta, Coget.¡± The scenery warped from the dark, ill-scented alley of layers of floors to an brightly lit, neon underground bar where a dark-skinned elf was cleaning a glass with a cloth, paying his accomplice no heed. ¡°Have a gift for you, Neils.¡± Akiael threw the bag at the elf who caught it without any trouble or hesitation. ¡°How long will the work to crack the chips take?¡± ¡°No less than a day. Dantalian wants to speak with you so hurry up.¡± Akiael entered the metallic doors at the back of the room only to see the 71st demon staring at a book not so different from the thousands contained in the towering bookshelves which spanned the whole room. ¡°How did securing the funds go?¡± ¡°Don¡¯t mess with me master. You already knew what was going to happen.¡± ¡°Yes, except the part where you screwed up.¡± The faceless demon turned to face his disciple as his spine horns stretched out. ¡°Didn¡¯t I tell you that mercy will only bring more bloodshed? She was a threat to your future.¡± ¡°No worries. You also told me to use my head so I did so.¡± Akiael then pointed to one of his incisors. ¡°She is not telling anything, in fact it is highly likely that she won¡¯t be a threat.¡± The demon sighed. ¡°Next time follow the plan so we don¡¯t have the attention of Imperial agents. Give me your palm.¡± The demon took out a glowing pen and a notebook then touched his disciples palm with two of his fingers. A floating translucent box appeared to both the demon and the vampire.

¡°Huh, sweet.¡± Status screens have been established long before time. However in order to view it one must need the guidance of class of the records category. Scribes, Writers, and Oracles are few of the classes in this category that can check statuses. However certain mystical items can also check a person¡¯s status, though they are rare to come by and always expensive. ¡°Anyways, our last target in this city has been decided.¡± The demon¡¯s face began to show an image, similar to a screen. A laboratory could be seen in a remote location with a significant amount of security surrounding the place. The glass plating on the walls made it similar to a typical Imperial office building. ¡°What does this place have to do with my possession abilities?¡± ¡°Recently the Sector of Biological Advancements have announced a project pertaining to the recent discovery of DNA.¡± The demon¡¯s face began to show an image of a helix diagram. ¡°In fact they are steps ahead conducting experiments to cause so called, genetic mutations. Using magic of the nuclear element, their scientists and sorcerers alike are attempting to create a human weapon by random mutations. Though they are setting their chances to fate, they are playing with a dangerous type of magic which could change battlefields. That¡¯s where you come in.¡± The demon¡¯s face returned to its natural blurry black and white static shape. ¡°The sector plans to move one of their successful experiments to a highly secretive area with classification even my agents and informants could not find out. Your mission will be to find the experiment and collect data and information pertaining to the project. After that the destruction of the building. If all goes well then you can gain another spirit to possess and I can have more information to sell. If you fail then the Empire will be happy to take a vampire prisoner and also root out all of my informants. Meaning that I will have to spend at least 20 years building up my resources again.¡± The demon snapped his fingers and a holographic blue screen detailing the demon¡¯s plan appeared behind him. Then Dantalian began to point out his exquisite robbery in a lecture-like manner. ¡°I have hired the Socrates Group again to act as delivery service to gain access into the building.¡± ¡°Those guys again? Why don¡¯t you just get one of your shape-shifting demons to play the driver?¡± Dantalian slapped the vampire with the back of his hand. Catching Akiael by surprise. ¡°Disciple. I taught you everything you need to know for the past 8 years. I trust that you can handle simple discussions like this in a fashionable manner.¡± ¡°Yeah, I got it.¡± The demon got out of Akiael¡¯s face and began motioning towards the image again. ¡°The Socrates Group is our scapegoat if you screw up. I had to make these arrangements months in advance to ensure that the timetables for the infiltration is not suspicious. But anyways, after infiltration, make your way to the records section and store everything in your coat¡¯s dimensional storage. Then head to the experiment facility, find the subject and blow the place up using a black flare.¡± The demon lord threw a torch-like object to Akiael and the screen turned off. ¡°I¡¯ll send you the plans in your Grimoire.¡± A small tablet in his pocket lit up with a notification as soon as Dantalian mentioned it. The vampire spoke. ¡°When will we be starting the mission?¡± ¡°In two days. Tomorrow I have business with King Belial and Duke Sallos so Neils will keep in contact with you when you are in the mission.¡± ¡°Why is he in on this?¡± The demon lord sighed. ¡°The dark elf is here because one of my avid sponsors want to ensure that our missions in Industria are fluid. In fact his ability to create illusions is top notch.¡± The demon went up close to Akiael and spoke. ¡°This is where we part ways my disciple. Our eight years were delightful and to be frank you are one of the few vampires I actually don¡¯t want to murder.¡± ¡°Master, thank you for everything.¡± The vampire got on one knee and bowed. ¡°I¡¯ll make sure a teleport crystal is left here for you. Neils will make sure the Empire doesn¡¯t keep you here. Don¡¯t die Akiael. Visit me if you are in deep trouble.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t count on it.¡± The vampire got up and went to go prepare, leaving the demon alone in his library. ¡°I remember when he was a mere child. How time goes by fast. Yet it¡¯s strange, that village was not home to Daywalkers.¡± The demon walked over to grab one of the books titled Vampiric Families and Courts and opened it. "Interesting." The demon spoke to himself after glancing at a few pages. "Fanlus will have a lot of people wanting his death." Current Status

Infiltration In a room covered floor to ceiling in a flurry of microscopes, computer monitors, and other science equipment, two blonde haired men in bright white lab coats were moving around handling different tasks. One was switching between a keyboard and scope while the other was fiddling with a machine which had multiple tests tubes filled with bodily fluids. On each of the machines a symbol could be seen. A golden gear fit inside a silver pyramid. Making any common person recognize the royal origin of the equipment. ¡°Genetic samples from Subject 5 are no different from the last clinical trial. Sending analysis to records division.¡± The man with the name tag, ¡°Charles¡± clipped on to his chest pocket said. The scientists blue eyes constantly shifted to the keyboard, the monitor and ¡°Waste samples from Subject 5 also show no indication of change after trial #19. Add that in your report.¡± The man who wore the name tag ¡°Jim¡± spoke while messing around with the beakers. ¡°Affirmative.¡± Suddenly a bell rang, signifying the long awaited time known as lunch break. Charles and Jim both exited the room into the glass hallway where fellow coworkers and a few mages could be seen exiting their respective rooms. ¡°Gods. The workload has been increase tenfold ever since we were transferred here.¡± Charles spoke while slightly slouching down in a fatigued fashion. The two buddies were considered ¡°royal scientists¡± though that just meant that they were trusted enough to do shady military research without any blackmail or threats. ¡°At least we don¡¯t have the worst of it. I heard some other the other guys in the Surveillance Department has seen some stuff that keeps them awake at night.¡± The two long-time friends chatted while making their way to the cafeteria. ¡°Speaking of which, I wonder why the Royals want this project accomplished fast. No conflict has been near our Empire has there?¡± Though the Empire is fairly advanced compared to some other countries, the looming threat of hordes of monsters or an angry god on a bad day continues to linger in the minds of many. ¡°Who knows. Maybe they just want a specialized toy they can play with. This experiment is just insane though.¡± ¡°Tell me about it. Wizards, scientists, and military from all over the country is in on this.¡± ¡°Only one of the experiments seems battle ready though. Number 45 was it? I¡¯m not sure about the other subjects. Number 5 seems like its going to die soon.¡± ¡°Enough with this work talk. Did you hear about that murder that happened two days ago, Charles?¡± ¡°Yeah. Some terrorist killed a who bunch of people and robbed a bank dry.¡± ¡°How would someone be able to crack through bank chips? After all those chips usually have military grade firewalls and security since its in the possession of a bank.¡± ¡°That means the person who did the crime was confident in his or his accomplice¡¯s ability to get financial information out of those chips.¡± ¡°Playing detective now, Jim?¡± ¡°Shush. I¡¯m thinking. Yet¡± ¡°Lets just eat.¡± The two made a turn and scanned their cards through a machine to access the cafeteria. Rows of mages, scientists, and engineers could be seen buying food tickets and getting their lunch. Once they sat down on a small table for two, a man in a gray uniform with a name tag that had the words ¡±Secretary Mark¡± written on it walked up to the two men. ¡°Jim, Charles. Mail team has a package for your section in the Loading Room.¡± The two navigated through two floors through an elevator to find their way to a large room with different last names attached to different boxes stuffed with letters and packages. In the corner with a desk was a man wearing a uniform of navy blue, denoting his occupation as the head of the Loading Room. The man in question was looking down at a checklist. If you come across this story on Amazon, it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. ¡°Charles and Jim I presume?¡± The man looked as if he was expecting the two co-workers. ¡°Your package is fairly large so its in the back room.¡± The man pointed to a secluded area surrounded with concrete where multiple trucks were parked. ¡°Which truck is it in?¡± Charles spoke after looking inside the room. ¡°The one on the far right.¡± Jim and Charles walked up to a truck which had its door closed. Jim spoke while attempting to pull the handle. ¡°What the he¡¡± This words were cut off like his head from his body. A man, no monster came out of nowhere, killing the scientist in the process. Clad in a cape covering his body, red in the interior and black on the exterior. A white mask with scythes as eyes and a crooked smile covered his face. To cover the rest of his head, a hood was worn, connected to his cape. In his gloved right hand, an eastern style sword could be seen, fresh with the blood of a Jim. Charles turned around only to be frozen with fear. With almost no time to react he joined his friend in the afterlife after a gash through his chest. The opened the back of the truck with his gloved left hand and threw the bodies inside. ¡°Fanlus here. Two corpses are hidden inside the escape truck. Shall I proceed to the underground Surveillance Department?¡± The vampire spoke into an earpiece attached to his mask. ¡°Go ahead. The air vents are sealed off and protected with security so you are going to have to sneak through the direct hallways. Lunchtime only lasts for one hour so make it quick.¡± The voice of a familiar dark elf responded. The vampire closed the truck door and proceeded into the Loading Room. ¡°Jion you better not get your self captured.¡± The vampire looked at the man who stole the blue uniform while he was comfortably flipping through papers. ¡°Relax, if anyone else here is like those guys then this will be an easy job. Plus I disabled the security in this room so no cameras or recorders could hear what happens here. I can¡¯t say the same for the rest of the building though.¡± The con man spoke as he proceeded to sit back and read the conveniently placed papers sprawled upon the desk. The vampire, using his better judgement decided to take the stairs down. Before doing that though, he chanted. ¡°Possession: Goblin Shaman.¡± A 4 foot goblin with a skull and a staff with a dark orb on top appeared as an glowing illusion behind the vampire. Then Akiael chanted again. ¡°Tribal Speed Boost.¡±
Tribal Speed Boost (Lvl.2) Gotta fast! Current Effects: Overall body movement of nearby allies within a 10 foot radius faster by 2% for (5) minutes.
¡°Blind Mirror.¡± The vampire spoke once more.
Blind Mirror (Lvl.1) Legends say vampires can¡¯t be seen through mirrors. Replace mirrors with glass. Current Effects: When activated the caster is unable to be seen through any type of glass for (4) minutes.
¡°Let¡¯s go.¡± Neils spoke through the earpiece after hearing the different chants made to block any video recording of the vampire¡¯s actions. The vampire looked at the concrete stairs and ran down the stiff and bland flights. ¡°The Surveillance Department is on B4.¡± The dark elf spoke nonchalantly. The painted images of numbers accompanied every doorway. 1, B1, B2, B3 then finally B4. After experiencing no resistance whatsoever, the vampire found himself in front of the door to the fourth basement level. He slightly popped the door open to see heavily armed soldiers guarding each door. Clad in black helmets with a glass visor, and armor consisting of enchanted leather with pieces such as the neck and knees protected by metal. On their shoulders the royal insignia of the gear and pyramid are worn with high esteem. Preparing to sneak pass the soldiers with the assistance of Blind Mirror, Akiael crept into the room slowly, making no sound unfamiliar to the movement of the guard. After walking three doors down and making a left through the eerie concrete hallway, the vampire found a door titled Surveillance that was guarded by two guards and was locked by a key card reader. ¡®One minute till the spell runs out.¡¯ The vampire calmed himself and chanted once more. ¡°Possession: Slender.¡± The grungy goblin shaman behind him flickered, then a faceless, pale man in a suit took its place. ¡°Departed Dreams.¡± The vampire spoke as the chant put the expertly trained militants to sleep. At this point the vampire was actively sweating under his mask. Even chanting, the easiest form of producing magic took a strain on one¡¯s mental focus. In a similar manner to how a person¡¯s body may feel cramps or pain during or after a fist fight.
Departed Dreams (Lvl.1) A spell used to put people to sleep. Target will not wake up under any circumstances until time runs out. Current Effects: Target must not be able to see the caster. Does not work on magic users. Time asleep (45) seconds
¡°For good measure.¡± The vampire ripped off one of the soldier¡¯s helmet and moved his mask up to his nose. The unlucky guard got two holes in his cheek. Blood could be seen streaming down his face looking like tears, staining the insignia of his Empire. Akiael¡¯s mouth was red with fresh blood and after he was finished he chanted. ¡°Bloody Influx.¡± Akiael¡¯s body glowed a faint red for a second before disappearing. All of his weariness and exhaustion seemed to dissipate in a moment. While he was drinking the guard¡¯s blood, he slipped his fingers into the man¡¯s pockets. Finding a key card and his wallet. After swiftly putting the man¡¯s wallet in a dimensional pocket and putting his mask back on, Akiael used the key card and the steel doors opened before him. Inside were two men staring at 5 columns of screens. All attached to a wall for maximum observation. The room was dark, only lite by the blue screens which spanned the who room. Buttons lined a dashboard and a fridge and microwave was spotted on a counter in the back. A conceal bathroom could be spotted on the back of the room which was clearly occupied. Akiael stepped inside and the shutters closed behind him. ¡°Yo, Bob.¡± One of the men wearing a t-shirt and a beanie spoke, with nothing to distract his job. ¡°Pass me the toolbox. The Loading Room camera is down.¡± The man was unaware that the intruder was not his intern but instead a murderous vampire. Needless to say, that mistake literally cost him his life. With two strikes of a sword. The two men dropped to the floor motionless with their shoulders pierced. Broken Mirror lost its effect on Akiael after the bloody act. Then the vampire forced the bathroom door open and chanted. ¡°Dark Ball.¡±
Dark Ball (Lvl.5) The weakest and most common spell of the Dark element. Unlike most common spells of other elements, this spell has the ability to kill a regular person in one hit. The accuracy of the spell is horrid though. Current Effects: Does low dark damage. Insta-kills if the target is weaker than the caster and is a direct shot.
The before the bearded man could protest his invasion of privacy, he quickly departed from this world. His body received the dark energy and a hole in his chest was made by the dark purple orb. Akiael then threw in his co-workers in the bathroom before locking it. He then stepped out and headed for the dashboard. A mess of wires, electronic equipment, and computers could be seen under the dashboard. Not caring about how much the whole setup actually costs, Akiael chanted again. ¡°Bane of Technology.¡± In an instant, all of the monitors displayed a fuzzy gray before turning completely black. For safe measure Akiael tore out all of the wires keeping the setup together and put them in the fridge. ¡°Finally time to wreck havoc.¡± It was as if the crooked smile on his mask resonated with his actual smile as he pulled out a knife in his right hand to accompany his sword. Threats and Laser Swords A man in the center back of the room could be seen looking at official documents stamped by his Highness King Exelsious the Third, clarifying the military research to the Noble Court, the empire¡¯s system Legislation. The man in question was wearing a few badges of honor and a custom, yellow and gray, regal uniform clearly designed to charm the common folk. His attire deemed him to be the High Supervisor of the Sector of Technology, Markus Coulious. The room itself has aisles of different machines and transparent blue screens each labeled with their own names such as ¡°The Magic Department¡± or ¡°Security Administration.¡± Different people and officials were working around the clock to ensure all properties of the site and its experiments are in working condition. This room is the heart of the facility. Where resources, human and not are properly allocated to improve the objective of the time. In this case, mutant soldiers. Suddenly the scream of an alarm pierced the ears of all of its inhabitants causing some to cover their ears with red flashing lights to accompany the noise ¡°Sir, we have a code red situation.¡± A fairly young man with a leather military uniform saluted while standing before his superior. ¡°State the situation, Mr. Lance. We have no time to lose.¡± The man replied back returning his salute with one of his own. ¡°Yes, sir. Currently, subject number 5 has escaped captivity and is now attacking all of the guards stationed within floor 6. As of right now, we have 15 casualties and 10 soldiers currently in action.¡± ¡°This is a dreadful situation. Send in severe reinforcements. I want maximum effort in restraining the experiment. It cannot escape the premises. That is an order!¡± The Supervisor yelled out his demands to the whole entire room. ¡°Yes, sir!¡± All of the people working in the facility replied reverently and started echoing his orders to the grunts using their holographic communication computers. ¡°Evacuate all personnel to the Maximum Security Area!¡± One person spoke into a microphone. ¡°Team H and L prepare to engage!¡± Another person directed their voice. The Supervisor put his fist sideways under his chin. ¡®This is going to put a bruise on this Sector.¡¯ The man thought to himself. ¡ As soon as Akiael started to step outside the Surveillance Room, alarms rang and a woman began to speak. ¡°All personal retreat to a secure location. All able-bodied guards, report to floor 6. I repeat¡¡± ¡®Damn, did they already spot me?¡¯ Akiael looked around to see the area devoid of any people. ¡®No, that¡¯s not it.¡¯ Suddenly the dark elf commanded through the earpiece. ¡°Akiael get moving while you still can. Now that the cameras are out of the way, get to floor B7.¡± Akiael began to retrace his steps to the stairs only to find a quad of soldiers spotting him as they were hiking. ¡°Open fire!¡± The soldier in the back yelled as the quad aimed their guns and fired at the vampire. ¡®Crap, they spotted me.¡¯ The vampire scrambled to a corner as the guards closed in on him. Acting quickly, the vampire hacked one man through the legs, taking advantage of his blind spot. The man was silent as the rest of his legs and upper body splattered blood on the ground. Another man was kicked to the side, causing a dent in the thick concrete walls, visually grimacing at the severe blow. One of the remaining guards brandished a glowing electric baton while another fire his assault rifle at Akiael¡¯s chest, the two of the bullets lodged into his chest as the vampire tried to duck and run. ¡°Shit.¡± Holding his chest, Akiael braced himself, holding his knife in his hand as the guard with the baton crashed down on him. However, the vampire used his left hand to thrust his sword into the guard¡¯s body, causing the sword to come out on the other end as a makeshift spike. Then right before another barrage of bullets were fired at him from a distance. Akiael used the corpse as a meat shield and rammed into the last guard, also impaling him on his sword. As the vampire pulled his sword back from his victims, more guards noticed the bloody conflict and started bursting in through the stairs. Fearing for the mission, Akiael decided to make a tactical retreat via the air vents on the ceiling, busting up the vent cover and ripping it off. He then threw the fresh corpse in the interior of the vent and climbed his way inside to conceal himself. Fortunately, he escaped before anyone could spot him. The air vents were fairly large, able to fit a small child. However, Akiael was trapped in that space above the floor due to a laser security system. Those menacing red beams would certainly either give away his location or cause a skin-searing injury. None of those options were spectacular considering that the traps spanned the whole area diagonally. Deciding to stay where he was, near the vent, Akiael opened up his robe and took off his upper body armor to assess the injury. Two holes could be seen near his ribs. One shallow and could be seen while the other only left a trail of blood in its impact. Quickly reaching into his cape, Akiael pulled out gauze and a blue liquid and dropped the knife on his right hand. The liquid was in a small glass bottle and had a tag attached to it with the title, Minor Healing Potion. Turning over the tag more directions could be seen. ¡°Apply directly on wound for external injuries. For internal use, consume through the mouth. Accelerates the healing process!¡± Akiael popped the cap open and lied down. Then he poured a small amount of the liquid into his hand and rubbed it on his gun wounds, grimacing at the pain as the pale flesh began to rejuvenate, forcing the metal projectiles out of their target. After the potion was applied, the vampire rolled out the white cloth and wrapped it around the chest wounds, still feeling the impact of the bullet. ¡®It''s going to still take days to heal.¡¯ Akiael thought to himself while looking at the blood on his chest. ¡®Let''s see, stairs are blocked off, yet guards are going up to the 6th floor. Since it''s an internal attack, the elevators would be off limits.¡¯ Akiael thought as he bit into the dead man''s corpse, draining his remaining blood. The vampire decided to seek assistance. He opened up his cape and brought out the grandly decorated tablet which lit up as soon as it recognized its master¡¯s touch. Akiael opened up his virtual documents and found Dantalian''s map. ¡°Elevator is in the center of the floor, five doors down from the Surveillance Room.¡± Deciding to make his move, Akiael covered himself with his armor and picked up his weapons. He poked his head in the hallway to look for possible combatants and saw none. Thus he landed below the hazardous vent, leaving the corpse behind and made a mad dash towards the elevator he saw on his left. Suddenly it opened revealing a group of fleeing scientist, accidentally arriving at the incorrect floor. Thinking swiftly, Akiael rammed himself into the elevator interior, bruising few people in the process, barely getting in before the elevator doors closed. The vampire fell to the ground and got up directly as the other people in the elevator attempted to get as far as possible from the strange masked maniac with two blades. Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. ¡°All right!¡± The vampire demanded the attention of the whole entire space, freaking out the already shaken scientists. ¡°I only have two demands. One, hand over all of your belongings. Two, never speak about me or what you see for the next 48 hours.¡± The vampire glowed in a black and white aura as moved his sword over one of his possible victim¡¯s neck, making his threats more vocal. ¡°Justice will triumph over you, fiend. We noble scientist and inventors will never surrender to the likes of a scoundrel such as yourself.¡± The man who spoke was a younger man with glasses and short hair who¡¯s teeth were clenched and fists were drawn. ¡°Fine then.¡± The vampire taunted him while wagging his hand towards the man to strike him. ¡°You are just computation dogs that the empire uses to have a stronger military. You serve no purpose than to wallow in your own research, little known about the nature of which you are being used. Prove your so-called justice to me if you can!¡± The vampire made a mockingly true remark as one of the elder scientists tried to stop the younger one from taking action. ¡°He¡¯s trying to provoke you William! Don¡¯t fall for it. We can get out of this without violence.¡± The elder man spoke as his hand tightened as he grasped the man¡¯s shoulders. ¡°Old man, have you gone senile? I¡¯ll do what¡¯s right and true without hesitation. Now leave me alone!¡± The young scientist escaped from the man¡¯s pleaded grasp and attempted to tackle his captor to the floor using both of his hands. Yet as soon as he was about to touch the vampire, the cold blade of a seemingly heartless man punctured the younger scientist¡¯s body. Still barely gasping for air, the vampire moved his head closer to the man¡¯s ear and spoke loud enough so everybody in the interior could hear. ¡°Look how shallow justice is. To you, it¡¯s a tool of justification to protect yourself from any criticisms of others about your actions. You fail to realize that maybe you cannot fulfill so-called justice because it''s always objective. How narrow.¡± The vampire smirked and pulled the blade from the dead man. His desolate body dropped to the floor, further clarifying his point to the remaining scientists. As soon as the vampire looked up the people were quickly taking out all sorts of items they possessed. Key cards, records, electronic devices, wallets, and even medications some were taking. Akiael took off his cape and held it in front of him as each person placed their possessions into the portal. Soon only two people were left out of the dozen to insert their belongings. ¡°Come on man, hurry up so we can get out of this horror.¡± A man spoke to the person in front of him as the said person had still yet to go. The scientist in the front was silent only looking down in the dark rippling void inside the captor¡¯s cape. Then the scientist attempted to kick the vampire in the nuts below his cape, only to find a knife impaled into his chest as he sunk to the study elevator floor. ¡°The actions of one can be an infectious disease. I¡¯ll remember that.¡± The vampire spoke having no guilt for his actions nor sympathy for the man¡¯s family. ¡°Are you stupid enough to put your life in jeopardy?¡± The vampire glared at the remaining man through his mask, partly confused on why his victim would sacrifice himself to such a feeble goal which was destined to fail. ¡°No, sir.¡± The man stepped over the corpse of his co-worker, having respect for the dead, and also because he didn¡¯t want blood on his shoes. As soon as the man¡¯s hand sank into the dark portal with nothing remaining, the vampire donned his cape and stood in front of the elevator, just in time for the floor, B7 to arrive on the pixelated elevator screen. ¡°Gentlemen, remember. Foolishness is infectious. Don¡¯t be the corpse on the floor.¡± The vampire walked out of the elevator like he didn¡¯t just murder two people into the dimly lit hallway of the secret floor. One of the scientists rapidly pressed the button to escape to the higher floors which caused the elevator to be on its merry way. The vampire took his time walking through the dark, linear hallway as if it was his natural home. Only the faint blue glow of energy passing through streams through the walls comforted him as he approached the sturdy gates made of enchanted steel. The sight is strange considering the Empire was not home to many enchanters much less many who were willing to work for his majesty considering his focus on technologies more focused on handing electrical and pure energy compared to its magical form but nevertheless the royal family always has at least two or three tricks up their undemocratic sleeves. The chap who enchanted this gate was probably paid a handsome amount. Two shadowy figure stood motionless in front of the gate as the vampire drew closer, letting his feet echo through the hollow pathway. ¡°Halt, identify yourself immediately for you will be dealt with deadly force.¡± A male clad in an armor made of a mixture of synthetic material, quite rare, and metal alloys spoke as he drew his sword that had a blade of pure raw energy. It glowed in the gloomy atmosphere as it¡¯s gold light and gear symbol made it clear that this man, as well as his partner, were trained extensively, perhaps even royal guard level. The two men were guarded though their covered faces did not show it as they also donned a crystalline energy shield in front of them, respecting the countries roots in the shield and sword. The vampire sweated as he knew one slice could end him. Seeing as they wore helmets not covered by glass and were very active in preparations, he decided that the power of infiltrating the psyche would not benefit him nor would piercing their armor be an option with the blood beginning to take its toll on the already fairly dull blades. He then decided to aim for a less power-centric option. With blades crossed, and the two men approaching him, the vampire chanted. ¡°Dark Ball.¡± The round projectile was fast but ineffective against the shield of an impressive magnitude of soldier number one who stood his ground behind his cohort. Soldier number two aimed to slice and dice the intruder but the vampire only dodged by a hair via using the man¡¯s head as a pole to leap over, spreading his legs and landing behind him. The man was caught by surprise and couldn¡¯t attack the creature above him. Soldier number two was ready and decided to attempt to reach the vampire with a blow downwards, but was too slow and instead was shoved from behind by the very same opponent. This caused the man to accidentally slide his laser sword into his cohort, injuring him in the process. ¡°Watch it asshole. Aha, shit¡± The victim of the accident yelled as he held his stomach and attempted to reach for a rejuvenation medication in his belt. ¡°It¡¯s not my fault that you failed to dodge, something that was taught at the beginning of the royal guard training initiative.¡± Soldier number two retorted and attempted to defend the stabbing of his ally. ¡°But we will make it out pal after this terrorist falls.¡± The second soldier now had a newfound vengeance to aim at this despicable terrorist who caused him to attack his fellow guard. However, before the first soldier could recover the vampire interfered. ¡°Dark ball!¡± Instead of an attack, a smaller sphere was aimed at an angle where the medicine was destroyed and unusable. A plan devised while the two were busy speaking about each other¡¯s faults. ¡°Motherfucker.¡± The guard kneeled as the blood was spilling out of his gut. Soldier number two took the initiative and devised to deal with the intruder from a distance. Grabbing his assault weapon and aiming at the vampire. However, the vampire was aware of this and hid away from his range using his comrade¡¯s injured body as a shield while the person was still contemplating his injury. Hesitant to inflict damage at the cost of his ally, soldier number two waited and aimed above the man. The vampire taunted him by sticking his arm above the injured man causing the soldier¡¯s battle instincts to flare and shoot, missing his target and lodging bullets into his ally. However, soldier number one took advantage of the vampire¡¯s tactic and attempted to slice through the vampire before he was shot. The moment was close but the vampire escaped with a shallow flesh wound while his attacker fell to his own bullets. The soldier had his armor pierced and died as the bullets impacted his already stabbed corpse. The second soldier was horrified at his own actions. Killing his own comrade and friend who he held on for so long. They celebrated together, bleed together in the Dream Wars, and married his friend¡¯s sister only to have him die by his own hand. The man put his weapon down and wallowed in despair as he lamented his own failures and faults. Yet the deities of war are not kind towards those who despair and hesitate during combat. Taking advantage of the guard¡¯s despair Akiael ran straight in, took the fallen soldier¡¯s sword and thrust it into the despaired man¡¯s chest, killing him as he lost his will to live. Guards such as these are commonly placed in high-security areas, for many reasons. They have large experience, they are popular with other soldiers, and are generally a boon on the battlefield. However, men such as these are disqualified from being royal guards due to one reason or another. In this case, it was their emotions and compassion which held them back from being the merciless defenders for the royal family. In fact, some believe that the royal guards are robots only obeying the will of their king. Nevertheless, these valiant soldiers were taken advantage of a vampire who took a great risk in this stratagem to achieve his goals. Akiael then stripped the men of everything they had as he could afford the time to and entered the highly protected chamber which protected the successful experiment Number 45. Hidden Findings As the temporary power of Blood Influx disappeared, Akiael entered his destination only to find that the interior was much different compared to the hallways that he had previously had traversed. It is wondrous that so much time and dedication was spent to display one subject. Though instead of having ailes of records and papers, it was more of a showcase room, now that the Empire has started to format all important documents to digital format and be stored on designated computers. The room itself was ailed with comfortable leather chairs and a designated seat for his royal majesty as signified by the golden replica of the throne in the corner. The seats were all facing a large rectangular window, closed off by steel shutters with a small stage fitted with the latest presentation decoration and technology with a three-dimensional holographic projector that spanned the whole room. The sight was clearly made to appease the king to ensure that the Sector would secure even more funding than the hefty amount of the pie they already have. However, the room had its lights turned off and a red escape symbol glowing signified that the people that were here fled to a more secure location, evident by the lack of guards protecting the place and that a trap door was opened in the corner of the room. Judging by its position and looks, it seemed to be protecting the treasure of this facility, if any intruder ever got here considering the layer of security that would be present on any other normal day. Though the building interior only has traps in more private areas such as the evacuation locations, outbreak rooms, and air vents, the amount of security on the exterior including but not limited to: mounted automatic guns, roaming tanks, and anti-magic barrier made it pretty damn hard to get inside, unless you have a scheduled midday pizza delivery that is actually storing an intruder and an insider who can get you enough information to know about all this security. The fact is that almost nobody has made it inside all of the layers of guards and surveillance which left little in the budget for securing the actual experiment. Thus the Sector resorted to hiring some budget royal guards and a totally secret trap door to secure all of the information about the subject. Suffice to say the Sector High Supervisor did not take into account the factor of human stupidity and incompetence into the equation, a common error. Taking full advantage of the schmuck who failed at his job, Akiael swiftly ran through the sights to his objective. His feet stepped on the ornate red carpet and went down the stairs to see what could only be described as a small office workplace accompanied by the slight humming of hard drives. Rows and columns of desks with the old style flat screen computers were mounted on wood and metal desks. In the back were bookcases filled with records that were not fully converted into digital format yet. Besides the bookcases, a compact office that presumably belonged to the overseer of the room was abandoned, though it was much nicer than the rooms outside it. On the opposite end was a shuttered window exactly the same from the floor above it, however unlike its counterpart, in the center was two tightly shut, steel doors which were not under the protection of the metal shutters. Nevertheless, Akiael had a job to do. He took off his cape and held it in one hand as he prepared to ¡°permanently borrow¡± everything of importance from the room though his leg injury left him limping as blood soaked to his pants. He turned on all of the computers one by one and took time to look through each set of files. As he was on his fifth computer he realized that every single file was downloadable via the admin¡¯s computer. So he booted the system up and downloaded every single important file related to the experiments conducted in the facility while avoiding the manager¡¯s copious amount of porn; blushing at one glance. Akiael pulled out a few USB drives and inserted them to copy the files. Click. Click. Click. With his secondary task completed, Akiael proceeded to throw the drives inside his cape and destroy all of the evidence he could get his hands on. He held his hand in front of the desk and aimed at the computer. ¡°Dark Ball.¡± The energy inside the ball was always mystifying to Akiael. It was as if one could see the endless void of Hell inside it. Swirling into the unfathomable oblivion then finally unleashing its might upon the mortal realm. The sight of a spherical hole in the desk would make any technophile disgraced at the sight while anyone who is technophobic would certainly cheer for the destruction of this data. Suffice to say Akiael strived to complete his task by doing the same to each computer in the room. It was as if an artist was writing his signature to his masterpiece. Intentional or not, the vampire made the same hole on every single desk in the exact same location. Whether the action would inspire fear or awe, is debatable. With the information objective completed, Akiael moved on to the main entree of the whole infiltration. The vampire tore the door open with no care for his surroundings. Unlike the room before, only the melodic sound of complete silence could reach the vampire¡¯s ears. The sound was calming though it would be eerie to the common mortal. In the center of the room, a pedestal sat under a column-like vessel. Inside was a girl who was unconscious as a transparent fluid glowed within the green glass of the container as it stretched between the floor and the ceiling of the two-story room. The wiring and pipes were cleverly orchestrated no different from a spider¡¯s web which covered the container top and bottom to ensure that the inhabit survives in the recovery fluid. Strangely this fluid was the only source of light in the room, comforting the silence. Akiael opened a portal through his cape and threw his weapons in there, taking out the Black Torch. With the temptation of his objective in front of him, the vampire tightened his hand into a fist and steeled himself to use the spell ¡°Spirit Absorb.¡±
Spirit Absorb (Lvl.4) I art thou. Thou are I. Thou has created a new vow forged with mutual interest and the purity of blood. May the combination of arms assimilate into a new truth. Current Effects: Cast upon the soul of any living being to ¡°possess¡± its strength. However as soon as the vampire was about to put an end to the girl¡¯s misery, Akiael observed a few other noticeable points of interest. The vessel had a rectangular door on the back of it, not exactly the wisest security function, and the whole room had an extensive sigil centering around the experiment. Any normal person attempting to read the ancient language inscription would be struck with a migraine, making it clear that these words are not only foreign but literally imbued with power. Akiael stared at the unorthodox runes closely and observed the language differently than from an amateur. ¡®A Major Beast Contract Sigil? No, did they somehow change a human into a monster?¡¯ The vampire amused the thought while switching eyes between the mortal girl and the familiar inscriptions. Suddenly a point of inspiration hit the vampire as he began to connected the dots. ¡®Dantalian said that the Crown was going to move this experiment soon.¡¯ Akiael then began to look into the window where the presentation room he previously entered above the doorway. ¡®The Sector wanted the King to see the experiment for himself but why couldn¡¯t they have just sent a digital report with descriptions?¡¯ The vampire began to tap his chin with his index finger while staring into the ceiling. ¡®The sigil is clearly made from a foreign summoner due to the way the runes are carved. But why did the Empire wanted to establish a contract sigil if they could simply psychologically torment the girl into submission?¡¯ The Empire was famously known throughout the globe for their conservative pursuit of progress using any means necessary. The result of having technology unparalleled by most modern civilizations is a testament to this philosophy though some would question whether common practices used such as unethical human experimentation and torture, denial of human rights that other nations have, and severe criminalization for the most minor of offenses has truly made the Empire a great nation. Finally, as if a combination lock was solved, a metaphoric click echoed within Akiael¡¯s mind. ¡®The Empire made an agreement with a foreign power to hand over a successful experiment. To improve their diplomatic relationship the ¡°investor¡± provided magicians and magical items to ensure that the process is secure. Then a summoner from the investor group would contract the experiment directly in here then have her shipped to a far location. To top it all off, the Crown would receive payment as they transferred all records and the experiment to the ¡°investor¡±¡¯ Realizing this Akiael began to act quickly. He stepped in front of the vessel and touched the glass with his hand. The reciting from memory he began to initiate the Major Beast Contract Sigil as the circle started to glow in a captivating manner. ¡°I art thou. Thou art I. I make thou a subject of my will. I attest this to the Gods that govern all things natural and living that the subject will be under my command. With goodwill or deep spite, all actions shall be acted upon with determination. I, Akiael Fanlus, confer this vow.¡± As soon as the vampire finished reciting the words, the circle started to glow red and energy could be seen jumping out from the runes, dangerously scathing the floor of the room with a burnt mark. ¡°What the?¡± The vampire could only spout a few words before the luminescent runes literally evaporated into fog. Akiael could see nothing in the fog as he began to stand guard.
WARNING! The contract has failed. Reasons for failure: Any species of the human race cannot be under a contract. Akiael Fanlus: First Offense Punishment: An inevitable demise in the upcoming months. Have a nice day.
A blue screen popped up through the fog telling the vampire his future. Akiael read the words over and over again to confirm his fate, each time only being in a confused state of anxiety and shock. Gulping down his saliva, the vampire knew he had a job to do. Just as the fog cleared, the vessel could be seen shattered into glass pieces in a pattern that left the girl inside unharmed with fluid draining out of the vessel through a sewer grid surrounding the vessel. Upon closer examination, the girl had dark purple hair and seemed to be about the same age as the vampire before her. There didn¡¯t seem to be anything abnormal about the person other than a faded tattoo on her left hand and an orb that seemed to be absorbed into the middle of her spine. The vampire, having no experience with seeing a girl close to his own age, blushed through his mask realizing that the robe that covered her body was the only clothing she had on. Fortunately for his dignity, she was still unconscious. He took a deep breath and decided it was time to get out of this claustrophobic facility. The vampire almost took off his cape before realizing that this cape would reject living mortals to be within its confines. Putting his cape back on, the vampire lit the torch in his hand and saw that it was set for ten minutes to explode while setting the charge. Hopefully, the flare would be enough to cause the facility to collapse. He then placed the torch in the corner of the room, then bolstered the girl sideways on his back with his two hands and made way for the exit, still limping at his previous injury. On his way out, Akiael noticed that the admin room had a particular object of interest. Through the hole that he made in the admin¡¯s desk, a button with the words, ¡°escape¡± could be seen on the wall. Then as soon as he started to move, a woman spoke through a speaker. ¡°Attention all workers and personal. The threat on floor 6 has been contained. Please report to your normal workplaces as an officer will take account of those we have tragically lost. Thank you.¡± ¡®At least they are pretending to be nice.¡¯ The vampire thought as he made haste to press the button. Quickly opening the door and pressing the button with his index finger, a wall shuffled a few layers before revealing itself as an elevator. As Akiael entered the elevator, he saw an array of buttons that went to different points to escape from including the roof, which has helicopters on it, as well as to a teleportation room with portals that could easily connect to the Royal Palace. One of the buttons, read, ¡°Load Room.¡± Assuming that it was his escape route, Akiael shifted his hands behind his head to press the button before realizing that he could use his head to press the button. With a quick tap of the head, the button glowed and the elevator quickly went up to the Loading Room on the 1st floor only to see Jion with a magazine. Despite seemingly distracted, Jion was prepared for any person to arrive at the room armed as he had his own weaponized surprises hidden away in his hand in the form of a gun. The agent was startled by the sudden appearance of the elevator that he almost fired at Akiael before noticing the urgency of the situation. Jion took a folder stacked to the brim with papers with him and got into the driver''s seat of the truck. Meanwhile, Akiael hopped into the truck area just as soon as two guards walked into the room. Akiael quickly puts down the girl inside the truck before closing the door as bullets were fired at him, making dents in the truck door. The vampire took in a deep breath after taking into account his recent actions and sat comfortably on a ledge in the shallow darkness of the truck, only feeling the smooth movements of a moving vehicle escaping an armed facility without conflict. He glanced at the small window showing the driver''s seat then decided to shut his eyes for some rest. After all, vampires sleep too.
