《Modern-Fantasy World》 Prologue of Fishing "Haaah...haaah...." I panted as I ran away from the heavily iron armored men on horses with spears. I cut through the bushes with nettles which hurt since I had a low tolerance for pain. I let out a yelp of pain as I was running away signaling them towards my direction. I heard many voices coming in out of my ears yelling "Get Back Here!" or "You''re Dead!" I didn''t listen as I kept running through the darkness of this forest covered with purple leaves and green beautiful grass. However, once I reached a certain point of almost making it out of this hell of running and panting I tripped on the root of a tree and fell. ... ... I sighed as I got back up from my bed and looked around my room. Green walls that seemed kind of ugly in a way with some posters up of some... interesting things to say the least. A desk with two monitors, an Xbox, keyboard and mouse, and many empty items I didn''t bother to throw away. I decided I was going to fish today like every day because of being an introvert I guess. Friends recommended this method of getting back out in the world so I thought I would try it as I slowly get back into this modern society. I took my ramen noodles out my mini fridge and cooked it in my microwave and ate it and I looked straight at my clothing rack. On my clothing rack was the usual grey hoodie I wore outside. I walked up to it and took and put it on and looked at myself in my bathroom mirror. Brown hair with green eyes as skinny as a twig that you can snap me in half just going gently. I sighed at my lack of muscles and went to my glass door and opened it to the outside world of light. After going around 30 minutes of driving which I should mention is a pain I got to the river I fish in. As soon as I got to the wooden bridge on the other side of the river I set up my usual place with my fishing rod. I put up my bait and did my thing. Listened to music as I felt a pull against the fishing rod. I pulled again and it tugged on me. I kept on doing this for a while until I almost fell in due to a massive push. I mocked the fish that tried pulling me and pulled the rod again. After doing this for what felt like 5 minutes I heard a siren at the back of my head. Assuming that I''m just delusional and went back to pulling the rod. I pulled it again and the fish was gone depressed I looked up at the sky and was going to pray for God to help me. while I kept a hold on the fishing rod I looked up and saw a helicopter pass by as something was falling. I tried squinting my eyes but that clearly didn''t work and it was directly falling on me since I''m directly under it. Panicked I tried doing something but didn''t know what to do. Suddenly, I felt a tug against the rod and got caught off guard and fell into the river. I tried going back up but a huge force kept me down and I felt water go into my throat and make me cough. It got in my nose which hurt a lot with its salty water in my nose, eyes, etc. It hurt for a long while until the long-awaited pitch black abyss overtook me after that pain. I could think... but couldn''t. It was very complicated and I can''t explain it but that was what happened back then... I woke up and stood up before coughing up lots and lots of water. I finally got that out of my system and looked around and saw grass around me going down like a little hill and going back up. Is this the river? It seems... empty with no water... I looked around for my car but it wasn''t anywhere. I panicked and kept looking around and after a while, I hung my head down in a depression of the loss of my car. Meanwhile... (3rd POV) Many people could be seen with heavy iron suits with some white feathers at the top of their helmet. They had an emblem on their chest representing a griffin. "C''mon Jack! We just have to find these artifacts of the past and we''ll be famous, right guys?!" A man yelled at the other men behind him. Cheers could be heard from all of these men behind them. "Yeah I guess you''re right," the other man said thinking of something, "However, if we find any tribe could we raid them?" He said with a smug look which would make anyone disgusted if this was MODERN society. "Yes, I guess you''re right since we do need some special breaks from time to time." It made me vomit because of the constant reminder of what happened and the mythology of Nymphs. I looked at them for a solid 5 minutes before turning tail and running away into the forest. I tripped up many times but I think I got awa- "Where did that girl go? It seems she went in here... kukuku!" I heard a creepy laugh along with some hoarse voice of a man. It seemed like they took many cigs. I tried running away again which caused more noise so they were coming my way calling names. Frankly, I didn''t give a damn at all about the names I just wanted to escape from this situation. I panted as I ran my way through this purple leaved forest and through the nettles which hurt a lot. I eventually tripped up on a root and I panicked and looked back and saw the men finally coming towards me. Panicked I tried to get my foot unstuck from this root but it just got it more stuck. I made way too many cracks in the sticks which hurt my back. The leaves were rustled too much and I felt too much adrenaline in my body at this very moment. I looked back and saw a man looking at me and he called all the others to come. All of them came towards me and I felt cornered and couldn''t do anything. However, I was proven wrong when I suddenly heard a voice to the right of me. "Squadron 4 what are you doing to this young lady?!" I heard a female voice and I looked towards their way. I wonder what that boy was doing? Luckily I saved his butt even if he is a thief and he should be grateful! I put my hand against my chest and put on a proud look before stopping to look at my armor. Oh, I forgot. Yes, I''m wearing clothes and it''s leather armor underneath it! Anyways I found this ''Adventurers Guild'' and I went into it and I could see many tables with stools and people either passed out drunk or fight with words in gibberish. I see Alexis behind the counter and assumed this is the ''Guild'' she was talking about. I kept eyes on the people fighting each other just in case if they hit on me somehow and went up to Alexis. "Hey, Alexis! What''s this... Guild thingy?" I asked and she responded with the history which I didn''t ask for but it''s greatly appreciated. Apparently, a person who thought of this was a reincarnator. He thought of this and told everyone about it and how to work it out. Quests to earn guild if you exterminate the Goblins, Orcs, Ogres, Wyverns, Dragons and other Monsters. There''s only been 1 Calamity case and that was a Devil but since then there hasn''t been any. I was kicked in my stomach and felt my stomach churning and I clutched my stomach and watched the killer of stomachs. I sighed and walked through the gate and I was directed to a classroom almost immediately without hesitation. I walked in was guided to a sit and apparently, I had to wait until the teacher came in. Many people came in with their fancy attire until a person with some documents in their hand walked in. He took a good look at all of us and his gaze slowly shifted upon me. However, just as she was doing so many Subordinates of the Vampire came down and started doing the ritual for the Blessing also. Confused by this she still gave him the Blessing and tried to make them go away but she couldn''t from her pond. However, they finished and went away. The person already had two Blessings inside of them and their race became a mixed one. Angered by this Nym went on to argue with Vae and it eventually broke into a War that lasted for thousands of years. They mixed in the Humans by accident and some humans are starting to kill them too. One night tremors went throughout the air of the Nymphs and Vampires and they knew that this was the Blessed person. However, no one and not even the gods could contact this person because they were a mixed race. Saved...? - Chapter 4 Chapter 4 of Modern-Fantasy World I sighed as I slumped down into my bed at the inn. I looked at the scratch on my knee and inspected it for a while. It didn¡¯t seem like one of those that hurt for days. I stood up and walked outside of my room. When I¡¯m in the corridor I heard metal clanks and I Iooked to my right and see a Guard with his iron armor. He grabbed my arm and dragged me off before telling me anything. ¡°What was that for?!?!¡± I screamed at him since he almost dislocated my arm and shoulder. ¡°I¡¯m sorry, Miss. The King has some business with you and you need to come soon,¡± He continued as I stared at him trying to have an intense pressure but it didn¡¯t give off that way, ¡°It¡¯s about the War. The King told me to tell you this.¡± He finished that sentence and he brought out a massive scroll that was being kept inside of his armor. I tried to get my foot unstuck and I told Jack where this ¡®Monster¡¯ was. He unsheathed the sword from his waist and held it in a stance. Unfortunately for Jack he got hit in the stomach and got his back slammed against the tree and the whites of his eyes were showing. I saw the Monster take sight of me and come closer with each second. It felt like hours every step it took as I tried yanking out my foot. I tried over and over again but¡­ Suddenly, I felt a BONK against my head and I could feel myself faint¡­ O...Oh...n...o! I backed up from the bed I was on and it was comfy but nevertheless, I backed up against the wall. I watched her move slowly and she quickly came over to me and put her hand on my head. ¡°What did you do to Jack?!¡± I struggled against her and tried to break free from her strong grip but it was a failed attempt. She giggled and looked at me and started petting my head. I unconsciously nodded in satisfaction and she giggled some more and set me on the bed. I suddenly felt the pain come in from my foot and I looked at it and it was bandaged? How did I even get to the wall? I¡¯m not going to question it¡­ ¡°If you¡¯re talking about that man¡­ Unfortunately, he went to the white clouds and the gate.¡± She said and looked through the closest glass window. ¡°Um¡­ What am I doing here?¡± I asked and looked at her and she laughed and responded with multiple things. ¡°You were hurt so I took you here. I¡¯m sorry for what has happened to you, Little One.¡± She said as she took hold of me and started petting me again. However, to my dismay, I made a weird noise. ¡°Uuuuu¡­¡± I suddenly covered my mouth and she giggled once again and I could feel my face heat up. Stop petting me, you old lady! Face the wrath of me! I tried punching her in the stomach but it ended up just a weak blow and she laughed and walked through a door and I could hear the tapping sounds once again. After a tiny bit of hearing a pot and steam, I heard the tapping sounds once again and the door opened again. This old lady had some tea on a tray in her hands and she brought it over towards me. She placed it on the desk beside me. She then sat on the bed next to me and looked at me with her yellowish-orange eyes. ¡°You remind me so much of my granddaughter,¡± She looked at me and she had a tear going down her cheek but she swiped it away, ¡°What¡¯s your name, Dear?¡± She asked and I responded with the name I came up with the day I ¡®woke¡¯ up. ¡°Would you mind telling me what happened to make you this hurt, Emily? In exchange, I¡¯ll tell you what has happened during my lifetime. Fufufu!¡± She laughed a creepy laugh but I responded with what happened nevertheless. ¡°Oh no¡­ Timmy did it again!
