《Godhood Online》 The New Age Apocalypse POV: "This is bullshit!" I screamed in frustration as my new born race was wiped out by a single damn generalist. Again. Worse still, I could tell this was a complete greenhorn as he didn¡¯t even bother to get any proof of completing his mission before returning back. Why is being a god of creation so difficult? This is the 7th time my new race has been wiped out. ¡°It will be easy they said, just create a race they said¡¡± I grumbled. I¡¯m going to need help, this is just impossible. How can I increase my powers of creation when everything I create just dies and gets destroyed? If only someone else could do my job for me¡ That¡¯s it! I just need to find a race with nothing much to do, and plenty of imagination, creativity and stuff. I have a whole dimension to myself, there has to be race like that out there. I can¡¯t let the other gods mock me. Years later¡ Third Person POV: 3028, the Earth was thrown into chaos when a god-like being appeared. It was a three metres tall monster with no eyes, pitch black skin, and six limbs. Its body was a two metre sphere with a limb on six sides, front, back, left, right, up and down. The limbs were tentacles that had a ridiculous three hundred sixty degrees range allowing it to move in every direction. Each limb ended with a pulsating lump that constantly shifted between being a long blade, hammer or lance. The monster seemed to randomly spin as it floated through the air. A voice resounded in everyone¡¯s head. ¡°My name is Apocalypse, or at least that¡¯s what everyone calls me. I will be your new god. I will be introducing a game to this world. Your new job is to play it. I have taken the liberty to help you maintain a suitable environment. Have a good day.¡± The being than vanished. It was the day everything changed.Stolen story; please report. The Earth was destroyed and replaced with new homes for everyone. People now lived in houses which were nothing more than a grey cube with nothing inside but a door. Multiple cubes could be combined together to create s bigger cube for families to live in. Everyone was now equal as everyone only had a single room with no belongings. Everything was taken away, clothes, money, even their bodies. Everyone was now a white blob with no gender, muscles or anything. The only thing people retained was memories and personalities. People no longer had names, only numbers. The door led to three different places. The Square, where people could gather, talk, trade, etc. Other cubes own by other people which required permission to enter. Lastly was Godhood Online, a world where everyone could create a whole new race on an Earth-like planet. Everything could be bought with Lifespan, the new currency. The grey cubes could be expanded and decorated, furniture could be bought, personal planets could be bought, everything could be bought, even people. If a person paid a hundred times your net worth, you would be enslaved to them. Alternatively, you could pay to create your own slave. If you wanted to change the way you look, you could pay. Even staying alive had a price. Everything had a price tag, the only way to earnLifespan was to play Godhood Online and take part in tournaments. Once you do no one could buy you. However, losing meant being enslaved. This was the Age of Apocalypse. New Life ID 0002 8118 9038 POV: It has been a month since the Age of Apocalypse begun. The small problem with the cubes was that no one knew anyone¡¯s ID except their own. This meant that everyone was on their own and everyone incapable of proper thought was probably dead. Also, all people with mental disabilities were at a disadvantage. I was a teenager before this new age, now I was a white floating blob. I had spent my time considering my options instead of playing Godhood Online. I opened up my status for a quick check. Name: Not Available Lifespan: 99 Years 10 Months 0 Days Speed: 1 metre per second Size: 1 metre diameter Colour: White God Power: 1 000 It seems that living consumed a day of lifespan everyday(obviously) and months are now always thirty days. I opened up the shop for a look. Trade If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Purchase Auction I was shocked that there was now an Auction available. What changed? I opened up the auction tab and was met with row after row of Ids. With a feeling of horror, I realised that this were the losers. It felt surreal, to know that these were all people who were enslaved. Perhaps my family was one of them, I would never know, maybe one of them was a friend, I would never know. This realisation crushed what little courage and desire I had. However, I had no choice put to play if I wanted to live. Normally, I would have already rushed in headstrong and excited but the fear of enslavement calmed me down. I would have probably ended up as one of these slaves. I already knew that this was a risky choice but the Auction waked me up. This was do or die. My choice was made when I bought that book. I looked at the Purchase option to help cheer me up. Create Creature Create Item Modify House Modify Self Buy I opened up the Modify Self tab to see my previously modified draft. I looked at a real-size revolving model of a man. The man was two metres tall with a muscular physique, tanned skin, long ¡°rod¡±, and masculine face. This was not me. This was the ideal me. When I looked in the mirror all I saw was plain old me, now I had a chance to change myself, to become attractive, strong, fast, tough, everything I wanted and more. I knew it was vain, foolish and stupid, but I was a vain, foolish and stupid person. I already wasted away one life, I am not going to waste my second one, and my only shot was Godhood Online. I had already spent a month to buy ¡°The Tutorial¡± and another to read it. I hoped I was ready. I floated to the door and opened it, mentally telling the door where I wanted to go. Godhood Online. Getting Started ID 0002 8118 9038 POV: From The Tutorial I barely learned anything, but what I did was crucial. First, there was a tribulation every month, which would grow increasingly more powerful. It was what led to the Auction becoming open. On the other hand, it would bring rewards, the first one was a reward of a month of lifespan, the second tribulation doubles the months, the third triples it, so on the third month a person would earn three months of Lifespan. Second, the Tribulation is where three quarters of all adult monsters are strengthened and will gather to attack the nearest city. Third, God Power was the in game currency. It could be gained by having your race sacrifice items to you. These items were anything from monster corpses to masterwork weapons to live members of other race. Lastly, the creation process was choosing a location, then creating a power system, and race. Naturally there was also some tips, facts and other minor information inside. I found myself overlooking a planet, a strange planet. It was strangely geometric, with the land being a donut shape with water as the hole. The rest of the planet was water except for an island on the opposite side of the planet, the size of the hole in the donut. I noticed that both the island and donut had little cracks of water running throughout the land, probably forming rivers. I watched as the world grew smaller and smaller becoming nothing more than a globe. I was to pick the start point for my new race. I chose a cave to start my race. The cave was close to the surface, and was large, about 500 metres long, and had an oval shape.Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings. The Tutorial had a nice bit of information I needed to be careful about. The monsters created followed my power system, but measures had been put in place to ensure that all creatures could gain power at an equal and fair rate. This was to prevent something like Earth from happening, with humans exploiting the animals using their intellect. I forced to live in a medieval age because Apocalypse had to send a stern warning to everyone that there were some rules to be put in place. Unexpectedly, a radical group had formed in the Square. They were a mix of religious and ex-powerful figures that preached that Apocalypse was the devil and to resist the devil¡¯s temptation, the light will save you, etc. Apocalypse quickly exterminated them and set down some basic rules. No religion No forming groups in the Square No threats or violence unless in a combat zone No gunpowder, nuclear power, electricity or steam engines only medieval stuff It seemed that Apocalypse did not want anyone using modern knowledge to get ahead. This kept me from creating any modern weapons, but I did not mind. After all, I was a teenager, I was not exactly into modern tech either so this was more helpful than harmful to me. Enough with all this, it is time to design my power system. Finishing Up Chapter 4: Finishing Up ID 0002 8118 9038 POV: The hardest part of the power system would be the energy source. Despite being god-like in our worlds, us players still have to follow physics. More precisely, the law of conservation of energy, which states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only converted from one form to another. This means that if I am going to make super soldiers, they need super food. Otherwise, their bodies would just breakdown because there is no energy for them to use. So I poured in God Power to saturate the world. Now my race would gain massive potential, while the same would go to the monsters, I was hopping that the power system I was going to make would solve that problem. A quick check showed me that I was left with 600 God Power. I weaved 200 points of God Power into a structure, a single line of power lighting up the sky. This was going to be the foundation of my race, it was plain but as my race grew so would the intricacy and complexity of the line. I was left with 400 God Power, I¡¯m hoping that¡¯s enough for my race creation, and to keep some in reserve. I started with the legs of my race. I designed them like a cross between human and elephant with large, broad and thick feet and legs, but the knees of a human. I lined the bottom of the feet with little spikes to help with friction. The legs came to a cost of 20 God Power total. I built a large torso to match the legs, with the torso being like an upside down triangle, but more natural. That was 25 God Power gone, probably from the enhanced digestive system I created. The digestive system was enhanced so that they had less food requirements. Now I attached the head of a snake like creature. That was a measly 10 God power, although that might have been because I directly removed the sense of smell and taste, replacing it with heat vision of a snake. I created two powerful arms for my race, ending with the five finger of humans, except with a twist. I gave them sharp claws for slashing and piercing, with large hands for them to deal crushing damage. That was 25 God Power. So far the cost has reached a total of 80 God Power. I proceeded to give them thick scales like a crocodile but mud brown. That was 20 God Power. I went for the classic mammal reproductive system so that was 15 God Power. Now I realised my race was a little too imbalanced so I threw in a tail for 5 God Power. Now I pumped in a whole 30 God Power to develop their brains and to link them to the power system. I also added a couple of racial instincts in such as herd mentality and extreme xenophobia. So anything recognised as a herd member would be well protected, and anything not would be dealt with extreme prejudice. Now I threw in 10 God Power to make them more fertile and 10 more for gene correction to allow for¡ interesting combinations. The grand total was 170 God Power for one. There was a flash of sudden insight as I knew what the race was going to be called. Kaimera. I took a moment to step back and admire my work. The simulation Kaimera stood at three metres tall, looking like a brown version of the lizard from the Spectacular Spider-Man with some minor differences. The tail was three and a half metres long, the arms ended with five sharp claws attached to a burley hand, and the feet were like pillars with little spikes at the bottom and without and toes. Lastly the face seemed more docile, instead of the rough features of a crocodile, the smooth and soft features of a snake took its place, although the head seemed a little too large and had no teeth. The Kaimera was in a hunched position, moving slowly like an elephant. I mentally wished for it to move faster, and to my surprise, the projection abruptly hunched over with both hands on the ground. Before I could react, the Kaimera pushed off against the ground with its arms, tucked in its hind legs, and whipped the ground with its tail, propelling it forward faster than anything that size and shape should be allowed to. I watched as it travelled through the air, using its tail like a rudder. The Kaimera was then able to keep moving by pushing off with its arms and whipping the ground with its tail, make sharp turns with its arms, or stopping completely by digging its feet in to the ground. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. I decided to finalise everything. That was when shit hit the fan. Congratulations! You are now a player! The Rookie Tournament is in 11 months 0 days! I fell to the ground as I felt strange senses flooding in. I spent moments trying to understand the list of messages. After looking through the list I knew why I felt so strange. I opened my status to get a view of what changed. Name: Player K000 8118 9039 Lifespan (Player 10%): 99 Years 10 Months 0 Days Race: Kaimera + God Power: 400 This was what was left of my status. Everything had changed, for one thing I had a name, race, and my lifespan had changed. Instead of any further words, the status showed a 3D model of a Kaimera, except better, probably the + symbol at work. I stood at a height of four meters, and generally seemed like a scaled up version of the Kaimera. However, there were some prominent differences. While the scales of a Kaimera resembled a crocodile everywhere except the head, my crocodile like scales extended to my head. This gave me a rougher look, although my jaws were still a snake minus the teeth, I had two ridges above my eyes like a crocodile travelling along my head. I felt my vision swirl a little as my tongue flicked out instinctively, exposing me to the strange world of heat vision. It was so hard to grasp what I was feeling let alone explain it. I could sense the lack of heat in the world around me, something no human should be able to do. Now I needed to check what else changed and all these new servers. Godhood Forums Chapter 5: Godhood Forums Player K000 8118 9039 POV: Unfortunately, I had to spend a few hours getting used to my new body, so in the end I decided not to visit the servers today. Instead, I returned back to Godhood Online after checking the Race Status which was not much at all. Race: Kaimera Population: Nil Power System: 1 Skill Node Back in the cave, I noticed that there was a large altar in the once empty cave, 20 metre by 10 metre large. It was a sacrificial altar, my means of gaining more God Power. The altar was a solid white block, without any carvings or anything, except for a single gem floating in the air above it. The gem was shaped like a scale, and had a translucent and lustrous brown hue. I was sure that if it were to be destroyed, so would I. I spawned in two Kaimeras, one male and one female. I fully intended to create a self sustaining population in the future but for now I would have to spawn in more members. I was left with only 60 God Power, which I promptly poured into my Power System, adding a second independent node. So far my Power System consisted of only two independent nodes, but my envisioned Power System would be like the old skill trees of classic RPGs. My two nodes were Vitality and Strength. The description for each node was like so: Vitality: Strengthens resistance to illnesses and diseases. Increases stamina, fertility, rate of regeneration and longevity. Slightly increases rate of growth and durability of body. Allows for regeneration of all organic body parts. Strength: Increases muscle size, strength, explosiveness, durability and density. My goal for the Power System was to have various paths and skill nodes that can synergise with each other. Hopefully this would help push the advantage to intelligent beings who could better synergise the various paths. The Power System seemed to have a sort of instinct based interface for those without the minds to even comprehend it. It would just place the skill points into the skill which corresponds to the attribute that the monster uses the most frequently. So far everything I implemented was passive skills, but I was going to implement active skills at some point to give Kaimeras another edge over monsters. I decided to leave after realising that there really was not much I could do. I was unable to mentally communicate with my race, or send any sort of divine message and what not. It turned out I was too anxious to see what I could do with my new race. So in the end I decided to leave the two Kaimeras to their own devices first. It seems that I was going to end up visiting the two new servers I had access to. I returned back to my house, before once again leaving, with a new destination in mind; Godhood Forums. I found myself in a large hall. The hall had a gaudy bright red carpet, tables and various booths, no, exhibits. It seemed like a stereotypical comic con, or some other informal convention. Not that I ever went to one before. Before this whole ordeal, I was somewhat anti-social in a sense. I mean sure I had friends, but I never really recalled anyone I would be able to claim would have my back against impossible odds or anyone that I would take a bullet for. Thanks to my behaviour, I spent most of my time at home, throwing myself into the world of novels, anime and manga. I guess I was sort of a weebo though I spent more time in novels than I did in manga and anime combined. Enough, I was digressing to much. I flinched when an arrow lit up in front of me pointing towards an exhibit in front of me. Making my way over, I glanced around while wondering why so few people were around. I snarled, my voice a low rumble as I felt myself colliding into someone. I look around and furrowed by brows when I noticed no one. ¡°Hey! Down here!¡± I looked down, feeling a little embarrassed that I had forgotten about my new form. I looked at what seemed like a Halfling to me. I noticed that the ¡°Halfling¡± was a tall man about two metres tall though height is relative. I was surprised to see the man was accompanied by a woman. I was caught off guard when I realised both of them were gorgeous, people I would be more likely to see on television or magazines than anywhere near me, at least before the arrival of Apocalypse.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. The man was well built, muscles clearly defined against the suit he was wearing, his hair was a radiant blond while he had a sort of charm about him that made me want to befriend him. The woman he was with had long black hair, a voluptuous body with stunning curves and an air of innocence and purity about her. I was a little confused why she was looking downwards, but when she snuck a glance at my package, blushing as she did, I realised that I was still naked. This unsettled me. The instincts and hormones in my body was causing some issues, I did not even realise I was naked as I was so comfortable wearing nothing, that was clearly not human behaviour. On the flip side, I never felt so confident and powerful so I guess that there were benefits. Another thing was I would have already sprouted if I saw a woman like that, but oddly enough, she just was not able to overpower my simple desire to not get hard. This was fascinating, not only do my instincts and hormones change, I even gained stronger will power and self control. ¡°Hey!¡± I startled as the man shouted out, I shook my head a little to clear my head of all these distracting thoughts. ¡°I¡¯m so sorry about that, and for bumping into you. Nice to meet you, I¡¯m¡¡± I trailed off as I realised I did not have a name. ¡°It¡¯s ok, my name is Fenrir and this lovely lady is Valkyrie¡± Fenrir quickly replied to save me the embarrassment of trailing off halfway like that. It was ingenious that Fenrir worked around the lack of a name by using a mythical creature¡¯s name. Apocalypse probably was unable to rid us of the names of mythical creatures without affecting the memories we had of said creatures. ¡°My name is Kaimera. Spelled with a K, A, I,¡± I clarified, because chimera and Kaimera sounded the same. ¡°Ah, I see what you did there,¡± Fenrir replied. ¡°I¡¯m guessing you¡¯re new here?¡±, he followed up. Before I could ask, he said, ¡°I saw how you flinched moments after entering here, I¡¯m guessing that was because you saw the arrow. Also I¡¯m sure I would have recognised a superhuman like you.¡± That does make sense, I must have looked like such a noob. ¡°What¡¯s a superhuman?¡±, I asked. ¡°Ah, I keep forgetting you¡¯re new here. We categorise everyone into a few types here. Inhumans are the creatures more removed from humans, ranging from animals, to slime monsters, to dragons, to elementals, etc. Superhumans are the ones that are essentially enhanced humans with changes ranging from magic and superpowers to transformations, like us.¡± Fenrir answered. ¡°What do you mean like us? And who is she?¡± I spoke pointing at Valkyrie. ¡°Let me answer both of them. We are sort of like beastmen except we can change at will, as I¡¯m sure you have guessed from our names, I am a wolf based beastman, and she is a eagle based beastman. I got her from the Create Creature function as creating your own race is heavily discounted, only the God Power cost halved and converted to days. Hey, let¡¯s head over to a table to take a sit instead of standing around.¡± We moved over to a nearby table to take a seat at Fenrir¡¯s suggestion. I watched as the seat shifted into a large beanbag suitable for me and I promptly lay down on it facing the table. Fenrir and Valkyrie took their seats opposite me and I noticed how Fenrir¡¯s seat was one-man white couch, Valkyrie¡¯s was an elegant black wooden chair with various intricate patterns carved on it. The table seemed to be a single large blob which sunk a little when pressure was applied before hardening. ¡°Why do we need to be categorised?¡± I asked. ¡°It is to help us when we discuss and share strategies. Sharing a strategy suitable for a slime with a normal human isn¡¯t exactly going to be helpful, after all you can¡¯t expect a human to do what a slime can, now can you? Well aside from that, we are also further classified into three main schools of thought, three archetypes and three social structures. Really complicated in my opinion.¡± Fenrir replied. At this point, Valkyrie seemed to have built up enough courage and said, ¡°I¡¯ll explain this part. If you¡¯re ok with it, I mean,¡± I gave her a nod and she proceeded. ¡°The three schools of thought are swarm, balanced and boss. They correspond to the cost of each unit of a race, with swarm being the cheapest and boss being the most expensive. The three archetypes are tank, glass cannon and jack. You do understand what I mean so far right?¡± Valkyrie looked to me for confirmation. I replied, ¡°If I understand you so far, the schools of thought correspond to the God Power needed to make a member of a race, and archetype is the specifics of each race, such as tank and dps, or a generalist approach.¡± ¡°Yes, you¡¯re right. So umm, the social structures are, democratic, dictatorship, and hive mind. Well there are also variants of these structures like meritocracy, patriarchy or slavery,¡± Valkyrie finished up. ¡°I¡¯m just curious but how do memories and personalities work in the Create Creature function? And why are you two helping me so much?¡± I spoke up, deciding that now was a good time to address the elephant in the room. ¡°For your first question, a created creature doesn¡¯t have memories, but can have a personality. Naturally, the personality can be subject to changes just like a normal person. As for your second question¡ Would you believe me if I said I just felt that the two of us could work together and that you didn¡¯t seem like the shady sort of person? Also, you just seemed a little lost, I guess, not quite sure how to phrase it, but you seemed sort of confused in general, if that makes sense to you,¡± Fenrir replied. Personally, I was not expecting such an emotionally driven act from such a rational seeming person, and it bugged me that he said I looked lost or confused. For some reason, I felt a little peeved, so I uttered a quick thank you and left. I could not help but feel distraught. Why was I so upset? Perhaps he struck home closer than I liked? ¡°Argh!¡± I roared in frustration. ¡°Never mind all that,¡± I said shaking my head, ¡°I just need to focus on running my world. Shit! I forgot to ask for advice.¡± Feeling a little conflicted about going back so quickly after leaving like that, I was a little embarrassed about going back. In the end I decided to consult them, disregarding my shame, the stakes are a lot higher now, I really cannot afford to let my emotions drive me around. The Tribulation Chapter 6: Player K000 8118 9039 POV: I made my way back to where Fenrir and Valkyrie were. It seemed that my new form allowed me to move faster than expected as by the time I made it back, they were just about to leave. ¡°Hey! Sorry about leaving like that just now, I wanted to ask if you had any advice for me,¡± I called out to them. They seemed surprised to see me back so quickly, but they quickly sat back down with me at the table. ¡°I¡¯m assuming you want advice on how to run your world?¡± Fenrir asked once we were seated. ¡°Yes, I realised that I should have asked you about some things. I wanted to know if I could make the monthly tribulation come earlier, and if there are any other lifeforms on the planet besides my own race,¡± I replied. ¡°For the first one it¡¯s quite simple. Just mentally say start monthly tribulation now once you¡¯re in Godhood Online. As for other lifeforms, well, there are no lifeforms other than your race at first besides microorganisms, but plants will appear after the first tribulation. It is actually a trap to wait a month because there¡¯s nothing on the planet, so either your race can survive prolonged periods without food, or they survive on dirt, stone, etc, or your race ends up cannibalising each other to survive which would really affect your race¡¯s culture. The only way is to say Help Menu and ask for help on how to start the tribulation early,¡± Fenrir answered. ¡°There¡¯s a Help Menu? What else did Apocalypse add in?¡± I blurted out, shock at the new revelation. Fenrir calmly replied, ¡°I¡¯m not sure what functions there are besides System Preferences which only let you do things like shifting where the messages come from, their colour, how opaque they are, even receiving messages in audio form is possible. Also you will unlock various bonuses after surviving the tribulation. The appearance of plants is one such bonus. Another thing you will unlock is God Skills which appears the Buy option. The Buy option only sells things related to Godhood Online, which you should know because you must have bought The Tutorial. The Tutorial doesn¡¯t tell you where the monsters come from, but three quarters of the total number of monsters will directly spawn in front of your city or wherever your race is, the rest will be dispersed all over the world.¡± I was about to ask how he knew I bought The Tutorial, but I stopped myself in time when I realised that it was because I asked about the monthly tribulation. ¡°Well there isn¡¯t really much I can advise you on besides telling you that the monthly tribulations are going to be increasing in difficulty in strange ways. For example, the first tribulation may use swarm tactics with small generalists of only one race, while the second may have a couple of large bosses with various races and archetypes,¡± Fenrir told me. I allowed what he said to sink in, realising that he must have cleared the second tribulation already. ¡°I know this is totally unrelated but can we use the word wave instead of tribulation? Tribulation is a real mouthful to say, and it kind of has a negative connotation,¡± I said. Fenrir and Valkyrie just laughed a little and Fenrir said jokingly, ¡°I¡¯ve been explaining crucial details for you and you¡¯ve been thinking about little details about how tribulation is a mouthful? Well I agree with you on that though. Enough of these nonsense, let¡¯s get down to business. God Skills are important but you need to know that you are buying them with your lifespan so make sure you don¡¯t splurge. I¡¯ll let you find out what God Skills do personally, so I guess you better go back and start the wave now. One last thing, don¡¯t enter the Arena, you could actually die in there.¡± And so our meeting ended on an ominous note. I decided to go back and start the wave as soon as I could, and made sure to stay away from the Arena. Once inside Godhood online, I was greeted with a scene of a Kaimera standing guard at the cave front while the other one rested. I decided now was as good a time as any, so I said start monthly tribulation now. I was unprepared for what was coming next. Male Kaimera POV: Look for danger not like. I look, she rest. Then she look, I rest. Feeling wrong. Danger coming. See many small things coming. I roar. She awakes. We fight. I wait for small things near me. She and I block hole together. I hit small thing. Small thing dead, but more small thing. I hit more and more but they hit more and more too. I hurt. I tired. They keep coming. I try to control strength. I hit. I am less tired. They still die. I keep hitting, again, again, and again. I stomp the ground. They do not walk so well now. I keep stomping as I fight. I start to move around. I make the ground in front of the cave uneven. This helps me restrict their range of motion. I am bleeding, not much, but I am getting tired. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. I retreat to the cave. I lower myself in front of the cave blocking it off from the small creatures. I wait for the small creatures to give up on attacking my hard scales. One of them tries to jump at my face, I lunge forward, jaw stretching in a strange way. I swallow the small creature whole. I keep going for a while, but then I realise I forgot about my mate. I raise myself back to my full height, and glanced around while fending off these little creatures. I spot my mate just some distance in front of me to the side. I grab her and pull her back so we can take turns blocking the cave. I do not know how long it was, but at the end corpses were pilled up chips of scales scattered, the ground was now red. The fight was over. Player K000 8118 9039 POV: It started out with a massive portal opening, I could not see what was on the other side, but I could see what came out. A small wolf like creature was my enemy for my first wave. I watched as they swarmed out in the thousands, I knew that there was exactly 3000 of these monsters coming out. I noticed little strange details about these creatures, their hind legs were much larger than their front like a rabbit but the legs and jaws had claws and fangs like a wolf. I watched as the male Kaimera roared and begun fighting clumsily. I was watching as he begun hitting softer, but still enough to kill. He moved back to the cave and blocked the entrance while resting up. He was learning much faster than what should be normal. At the end of all of this, I felt a little nauseated at all the blood and gore around. I had survived the wave but my Kaimeras were weakened. They had cracks all over their scales, with some scales outright missing. All of a sudden I noticed that large amounts of messages had appeared. Your Male Kaimera, Unnamed, has paved his own road, Thought: Unlike wisdom or intelligence, Thought is more focused on the aspect of self awareness and the development of the mind as a whole. Increases intelligence and wisdom growth rates. God Power earned from killing redirected to Power System. Congratulations on surviving your first tribulation! You have unlocked God Skills You have received complementary skill God Descent You have unlocked plants in your world You have gained 1 month of Lifespan The time dilation has changed from 1:5 to 1:12, Real Life to Godhood Online I opened up both my Status and Race Status to get a view of what changed. Name: Player K000 8118 9039 Lifespan (Player 10%): 99 Years 10 Months 0 Days Race: Kaimera + God Power: 1000 God Skills: God¡¯s Descent Race: Kaimera Population: 2 Power System: 3 Skill Nodes (760 God Power) This means that I gained 1500 God Power, so divided by 3000 would give me half. One of those wolf rabbits is worth only 0.5 God Power. I find it a little annoying to have two separate statuses so I tried to change it in the System Preferences, surprisingly, it worked. Now everything is listed under status. Well, onto more pressing matters. I started by checking the description of God¡¯s Descent. God¡¯s Descent: Creates a physical body matching your own on your chosen planet. Lifespan is consumed to maintain physical body. Rate of consumption, 10 Lifespan Days: 1 Day The time dilation was interesting, the whole fight appeared to last for only three hours, while in fact it lasted for fifteen hours. I was kind of surprised to see Kaimeras moving so quickly, same with the wolf rabbits. Now I know why. Another thing that surprised me was that the custom path system I put in place would come into play so quickly. Well I think I have a better vision of the Power System I want to create. I decided to use 240 God Power to add a fourth skill node, so that the total value would be a rounded 1000. Defence: Increase thickness, flexibility, and density of scales. Increases insulation of scales. I planned for these four skill nodes to form the core stats of my race, with an even distribution of power for each skill. For now, I only had one tier of skill nodes, with no classes or any means of further specialisation, so the ratio of God Power is equal for all skill nodes. I developed an interface for Kaimeras to use. I would gain God Power in a ratio of 9:1, with the Kaimera getting 9 and me getting 1. A Kaimera would level up when they reach 250 God Power and would gain one skill point. My plan was for the first tier to cost one skill point to upgrade, second tier would cost two, third tier would cost four, fourth tier would cost 8 and so on. I had 760 God Power left so I spent 680 summoning more Kaimeras in the same ratio, and kept the rest of the God Power. Decided to check out the God Skill store now that I was done. I spent the whole day looking through the God Skills, before settling on a skill for communication. Mystic Dreams: Allows the God to speak to the follower with the strongest mental abilities in their dreams. Cost: 70 Years It was a risky purchase but so long as I kept winning I would keep living. I opened my status to see the changes. Status: Name: Player K000 8118 9039 Lifespan (Player 10%): 29 Years 9 Months 29 Days Race: Kaimera + God Power: 80 God Skills: God¡¯s Descent, Mythic Dreams Created Race: Kaimera Population: 2 Power System: 4 Skill Nodes (1000 God Power)
