《One Piece: The New Age》 Pogo D. Shuttle A distant wind was calmly ushered in by the sea current. A seagull took the focus of the scene as it flew over a distant sailing ship with a wooden frame and a jolly roger depicting it as pirate branded. "Take these boxes down, we''ve got plenty of beri for the coming days!" An ugly looking man said. He had black hair that flowed back into a tangled mess, his encroaching beard resonated all the way down to his rectangular chin. Black eyes, black hair, dark skin. It was none other than the ruthless Fujitora Fox, a 2,000,000 beri wanted pirate who had raided some marine ships in the East Blue. A few meters away was the sinking marine vessel, lit up in flames and diverging its hull to the deep bottomless pit of the ocean. Set off the coast of Dawn Island, the hero of this tale arises. Under the melancholy laughter of pirates, let¡¯s zoom in on Dawn Island¡¯s sandy beach. More specifically, Foosha Village. The playful banter of six young men can be heard throughout the wooded forest. Some were in their early teens, and presumably Pogo, the oldest of the bunch. ¡°Damn you pirates! I¡¯ll take you down!¡± A blonde headed boy screams throughout the forest. His name was Ortis B. Herald, a seventeen year old friend of Pogo¡¯s. He had a wooden stick, carved into a flintlock, step by step he searched for the other boys who were playing the pirates team. Enter the two behind Ortis. The thirteen year old Ryuke, and the fifteen year old Tibo. Both had similar brown hair to pain their part. Ryuke was a little bit more timid, as he dodged the vines in the forest. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. A crunch of leaves and the perpetrators have been found, at the end of Ortis¡¯s wooden barrel is the frame of Pogo D. Shuttle, Edric H. Akira, and Gato Kilgore. Edric and Gato were both sixteen, and Pogo was eighteen. Of course, all of these names would become pertinent to history, because Pogo has always basked in the limelight. ¡°Shit!¡± Pogo rolled from Ortis¡¯s sights, and then dashed in between the tree line--hitting a tree in the process, his arms and legs trembling as his back made contact with the ground. A worm crawled over his cheek as Ortis shadowed over Pogo. ¡°Bang.¡± He said with a smile, ¡°Pogo, you¡¯re always so bad at this. Who made you the leader of the pirate group? Bahhahaa! We should have learned by now.¡± He said with a smile, jeering his hand out for Pogo. Pogo smiled, ¡°You might as well give up on the idea of belittling me...because I¡¯m going to become the king of the pirates!¡± He placed his hands on his hips in a sneering fashion. Ortis simply crossed his arms. ¡°If you¡¯re going to become the king of the pirates, I might as well become an admiral of the sea to stop you! Bahahahaa!¡± His occasional laughter dried out the moment, and revitalized the mood into a prosperous and warming moment. ¡°Then I¡¯ll see you on the high seas friend!¡± Pogo ran out from the forest and back into Foosha Village. It was time to finally unveil his plan to his friends, as they followed along. Pogo, Ortis, Ryuke, Tibo, Edric, and Gato, these were the names of the six boys who would eventually become renowned for their own deeds on the high seas. Let''s tell a story, shall we?.... The Memory that Burns At the other end of the shore, Pogo and the boys shuffled around the makeshift boat that he had been building for years. It was small, barely enough to be considered more than a raft. A single sail was attached to the boat, flying its blank canvas as the wind would heavily determine the sail¡¯s flow. Ortis stood behind Pogo, as the boy hopped inside and began adding some final touches to the boat itself. He had planned to leave the village in a week or so. Very soon. ¡°What a piece of junk. How could you ever consider sailing this shit?¡± The group broke out into laughter as Ortis kicked the ship lightly. Pogo ignored his mockings, and continued with his absurd plan to become king of the pirates. ¡°You know if you become a pirate, and I become a marine, we will inevitably cross right?¡± Ortis prolonged his reasoning. ¡°I wouldn¡¯t have it any other way Ortis.¡± Pogo said with a sincere smile perturbing his face. This was the pinnacle of their memories. A once in a lifetime promise that would erupt the hell flames of the world into anarchy one day. ¡°Then it¡¯s a promise!¡± Ortis gave his hand to shake, and Pogo looked up at him. His tall blonde figure held a distinguishable charisma. This hand shake wasn¡¯t just any horse play, a seriousness had overcome the boy. ¡°Yeah, a promise it is.¡± Their hands clasped together as they shook on the matter. Two men who would never break their word had just formed a promise of undeniable proportions. The scene took an unexpected turn soon afterwards. ¡°Aghh! Help, help, oh God help us!¡± Lady Jenkins came down the hill with her white apron on, smeared with the distinct color of red. Her eyes were unsteady, and her knees came trembling down upon the sands as she broke out into tears. ¡°Help! Oh lord help!¡± ¡°What¡¯s wrong Lady Jenkins?!¡± Ortis kneeled beside her with a genuine concern for the poor lady. The sound of gunshots and screams could be heard in the village, and a heat emanated off of the central town. It was erupted into flames! ¡°P-Pirates! Oh my--Oh my--Pirates!¡± She went into shock. Ortis went into a stone-cold state of determination. He left Lady Jenkins side and started jogging up the sandy hill to Foosha Village. ¡°Don¡¯t worry Lady Jenkins, I¡¯ll take care of this!¡± His resolve clear and resonate in his voice.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. The scene of a beautiful green town burning to the ground, people being shot at and pirates at the center of the fold. It was a horrid scene. A purely chaotic one. Pogo and Ortis were the only ones to actually approach the scene, the rest of the boys stayed to comfort Lady Jenkins. A bearded man with long and scrubbly black hair, stomped across the village with flintlocks in hand. ¡°Gahahahaaaha!¡± Fujitora Fox exploded, his pure insanity emanating off of him as he shot into random directions. ¡°Yes, that¡¯s right! Fear me! You weaklings, fear me!¡± He shouted into the air. ¡°Damnit! Pogo, help me with this guy!¡± Ortis glanced toward me before returning his angry gaze to Fujitora Fox. He was quite large, and his crew was strong enough to raid Foosha Village. Fujitora wasn¡¯t necessarily strong, but his bounty said enough about his nature. ¡°Got it!¡± The pair dashed at the large black haired man. The two fists pummeling into his gut like a methodical corkscrew. Fujitora¡¯s complexion immediately became distraught as he stumbled back in exasperating pain. ¡°Ahh! Gahh! What the--¡± He stopped himself, as his eyes became enraged and his muscles bulged at Pogo and Ortis. ¡°Why you kids! I¡¯ll kill you! I¡¯m the menacing and notorious Fujitora Fox!¡± His creepy smile appeared before us. With a powerful downward motion, Fujitora sent a strike that sent a flurry of dust and rock into the air, marauding above the two. He laughed meticulously. Pogo fell backwards, as Ortis flew foward to the pirate and began pummeling his body with a strong and perfect combination. It was unreal for his age. The strikes were so fast that they built up pressure and sent Fujitora flying back and hitting a dark stone wall. ¡°Fuuughhhh.¡± He burped out, his eyes looking hazy and Ortis seeming even more angry. Ortis was scary to Pogo. Pogo was different from Ortis in every way. This was clearly one of them. The strength Ortis had was unparalleled for his age. Pogo could only watch. The boys came up from behind Pogo to watch as well. Ortis ran toward the injured Fujitora and began finishing him off with a dominant combo that really cheese-wagoned the poor pirate. It was clear who had won this battle. The pirates were fighting off a squad of marines that had been dispatched by a messenger. The marines swiftly detained them and were also watching Ortis absolutely destroy Fujitora. As if lightning had crackled, the uppercut sent a powerful surge of energy through Fujitora¡¯s jaw and sent him flying as he cackled up some blood and teeth. Before he had a chance to land, Ortis grabbed the man and slammed him in front of the marine squad. ¡°I¡¯ll take this as my ticket to join the marines. I hope you¡¯ll accept my offer.¡± He said monotonously. Divide Between Young Men The marines nodded fervently as they apprehended the man and gave word to their superiors that the conflict was over. A fellow amidst the group spoke, ¡°We¡¯d be happy to have you on board the marines, you are very talented. What is your name?¡± He asked. ¡°Ortis...Ortis B. Herald.¡± He crossed his arms. Ryuke and the bunch sped past Pogo and went to hug Ortis. ¡°Bro! You were so cool! I can¡¯t believe how strong you are! Wow!¡± A bunch of incoherent praises were given to him. He smiled and laughed before realizing Pogo wasn¡¯t apart of the victory celebration, in fact he was frowning, and his fists were clasped tightly enough to draw blood. He was doing everything he could to prevent himself from crying. Even still, the tears would flow. Why was he so weak? What was this burning passion that he felt invigorate his soul and enthrall his heart? ¡°I swear by it¡ I swear by it.¡± He would mumble repeatedly on the ground. Ortis walked over to confront his internal issue. ¡°What is it Pogo? Why do you curse yourself and cry? We have won victory and saved the village, you should be happy!¡± Ortis¡¯s voice had a certain irredeemable irritation to it as he spoke. ¡°Why on earth do you want to become a pirate?! I¡¯m sick of your shit!¡± He exploded in anger, punching Pogo in the face and mounting on top of him to begin pummeling him. Ryuke and Tibo held him back and threw Ortis off of Pogo. ¡°Get a grip man! You shouldn¡¯t hit your friends!¡± Ryuke said angrily. Pogo¡¯s tears had long dried up, an arm masked his face as anger resonated deeply within him. A hatred deeper than hell itself. Ortis brushed himself off and spat. ¡°Tchh.¡± He was clearly annoyed. Ryuke, usually the timid and passive boy, stood up for his friends. He was the brown headed resemblance of his loving father who had passed away on the high seas as a pirate. He was still determined to follow in his footsteps. Edric and Gato stood behind Ortis with a strong line clearly divided between the boys. It was a clear bitterness that surged in the air. The line between justice and piracy. Ortis, Edric, and Gato were clearly the stronger bunch of boys. They would destroy Pogo and his two friends right now. Ryuke and Tibo were going to defend Pogo though. Things were getting tense when a burst of laughter erupted from Pogo¡¯s demeanor. He laid on the ground and a smile bursted into a frown once his laughter died off. Pushing himself off the ground. ¡°Not only will I become the king of the pirates...but I¡¯m gonna kick the three of your asses real good.¡± Blood dripped from his hands as he gripped them even harder. ¡°I¡¯ll win! I¡¯ll have the last laugh!¡± He raised his fist into the air, a shadow piercing over him as the sunlight rays made it difficult to look at Pogo. He smiled widely and darted off to his boat along the coast. ¡°Raftel is calling my name!¡± Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. The marine boys ran after him, as well as Ryuke and Tibo. They were going to give Pogo a chance to escape Foosha Village. ¡°I believe in you Pogo!¡± Tibo said. ¡°Yeah, me too!¡± Ryuke did the unthinkable and sent an uppercut at Ortis¡¯s jaw, knocking him back a little. The burning village had just sparked the feud of the century. A rivalry against all odds, as the three bigger boys resembled strength and justice, while the other three were a striking difference of the former. Pogo jumped into his boat after pushing it off the sand, the water made a clopping noise as he powered through it and adjusted the sail. ¡°I love you Ryuke, I love you Tibo. You¡¯ve always been on my side more than Ortis or the others. Thank you! I will see you on the seas again one day!¡± Pogo began paddling, shifting his weight in each row. Ortis pushed Ryuke to the ground and began stomping in the water, chasing after Pogo and breaking into a swim. The other two stopped, and started beating up Ryuke and Tibo. ¡°Ow oh agh!¡± They scrunched their faces in pain. Pogo could only pray they would be okay. He turned around to see Ortis getting close as his eyes enlarged. Ortis had a greedy look in his eyes as he reached for the boat. ¡°This is for always bullying me! Let me return the favor you bastard!¡± Pogo said. The head of the paddle found the air and compacted against Ortis¡¯s head. The strike was hard hitting and sent Ortis underwater. The other two boys had to swim out and get him, because it was obvious Pogo had hit him critically. The little boat with the aspiring eighteen year old boy sailed away on the winds. He wasn¡¯t a navigator and didn¡¯t necessarily have any direction or intention. The only intention he had was to move forward in every passing moment. Dawn Island was crossed off the list of destinations, as Foosha village was burning in the background, and the figure of the five boys was still present on the beach. They were clearly pumping at Ortis¡¯s chest to try and save him from drowning. A marine vessel was seen off the docks of Dawn Island, as Pogo simply put a straw in his mouth. Pogo had brownish-black hair, and a lean muscular figure. He wasn¡¯t strong, but he will be. The glare in his eyes said that much in the least. The sun was setting and the start of a new adventure had begun. It was time to make history, and show the world who would be the third pirate king! Gol D. Roger had ascended the throne, and Luffy followed similarly in his footsteps, but Pogo would reach even higher. The sun set, and Pogo stopped paddling. He was in the clear. Hopefully he¡¯d arrive at the next island sooner rather than later. He needed a bunch of crew members, a grand pirate ship, a fleet, and...a lot of knowledge. Pogo gestured that he¡¯d need at least ten crewmates to become the pirate king! The Blue Brigade & Shells Town With burnt skin, Pogo arose from his slumber, rubbing his head and realizing a few birds had crapped on his head. ¡°Damnit!¡± He cupped his stomach, it growled for food. After looking around it appeared he had found himself on a strange island. The boat had washed ashore during his sleep somehow. ¡°Where even am I?¡± Pogo got out of the boat and pulled it up so it wouldn¡¯t wash away with the tide. The island was surrounded with rocks at the shore and there was a forest near its center. Pogo could only hope he could find something to eat here. Venturing further in, he was met with a few men digging a hole in the forest floor. It seemed they had a treasure chest they were trying to stash away and bury. How cliche. But what kind of pirate would stow away beri? This was strange. Pogo accidentally tripped forward and rolled down the slope and into their hole they had dug out. The three men were completely surprised at this boy who had just appeared from the bushes in an instant. ¡°Hey! Are you okay?¡± A young stout man with blue hair peered from above, looking down on Pogo. Pogo was rubbing the back of his head as he stood up, shaking himself from all the dirt that had gotten on him. ¡°Yeah, I¡¯m fine.¡± He sighed, climbing out of the hole with the help of the blue-haired man. The man smiled as he introduced his two friends. ¡°This is Rio, and that guy is Luke. Nice to meet you.¡± He said. ¡°Oh. Nice to meet you as well. I¡¯m Pogo and you are?¡± Pogo said, looking at the two brown-haired men behind the blue-haired fellow. He coughed up his identity, ¡°I¡¯m Kibu, just a travelling pirate. Oh. Are you a marine?¡± He said rather dumbly. ¡°No, I¡¯m not. I¡¯m a pirate too. But why are you burying this treasure instead of keeping it?¡± Pogo asked. ¡°This is our fall back beri. We plan on sailing the grand line, but if worst comes to worst, we will have some money to fall back on in retirement.¡± Kibu said. ¡°I see, and are you the captain?¡± He asked. ¡°N-Not that I care. I just was wondering.¡± He blushed a little. ¡°Yeah, I¡¯m the captain of the Blue Brigade! We are going to sail these seas like true men! Gyah Gyah Gyah!¡± He had a weird laugh. ¡°Are you trying to join my crew?¡± Kibu asked. ¡°No. I am looking to start my own pirate crew. I don¡¯t have the time to join anyone else¡¯s even though you guys seem like the nice kind of people. Now, I ought to be getting on my way.¡± He said. This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. ¡°Oh, I see. We were just heading on our way too. If you want, you can join us on our ship to the next island. It¡¯s not big, but I doubt you have better seeing as how young you look boy.¡± Kibu said. ¡°Yeah, I suppose you¡¯re right. I¡¯ll join your ship, but just know I¡¯m not joining your crew. I plan on exceeding everyone!¡± Pogo said. Kibu nodded, he was impressed such a young boy had that kind of determination like that. Usually there were two types of people who said those kind of things. The ones who were all words and didn¡¯t have any intention to do anything they said, and the monsters of the sea who quickly surpass the world and all of its riches. They boarded the ship together, it was large enough to house them all and had a small cabin to stay out of the weather. They adjusted the sails and made way to the high seas. The water was calm today. ¡°Captain, we¡¯re on course for the Yotsuba Island Region. We should reach the island in about a day¡¯s time if the wind keeps at this rigid pace.¡± Luke, the navigator said. Kibu laughed hysterically. ¡°That¡¯s great! I can¡¯t wait to sack that place! Let¡¯s go have a grand time!¡± Kibu said as his blue eyes flickered with excitement. ¡°The Blue Brigade will rise to the forefront of the world! Gyah Gyah Gyah!¡± He was confident. Pogo¡¯s ears twitched at the word ¡®sack¡¯ because of his recent experience with Foosha Village. If these pirates really did intend to raid Shells Town, then it would be a serious crime for no reason at all. If it was for the sake of money and no one was actually hurt, Pogo might be fine with it, but Pogo did have a true sense of justice. He would stop anyone who tried to hurt the innocent. With that statement alone, Pogo¡¯s trust had been lost and he would remain silent for the rest of the trip. They would feed him for free as they arrived at Shells Town. The marine base in Shells Town was situated here, and so were some marine ships. They had taken down their jolly roger so marines wouldn¡¯t suspect them of being advocates of piracy. After getting off the ship the three men and Pogo began their shopping trip. ¡°Alright meet back here in an hour. You¡¯re free to go Pogo. I wish you safe travels in your journey.¡± Kibu said as he spoke to his men afterward. Pogo was quick to visit the markets and try on every breed and species of equipment and armor. Not that he had any money to spend or buy anything with. With a sigh, he realized he needed beri to accomplish anything. A marine walked up behind him, and grabbed him by the shoulder. ¡°Sir, I¡¯m going to have to ask you to leave. You cannot try on all of these suits in the market without spending a single beri. So please. Leave.¡± He said. The marine was six foot tall, muscular and had a rigged scar across his face. He was a seaman recruit, but he had the look of a damn captain! Pogo wouldn¡¯t listen to this man. ¡°Sock it buddy!¡± He hurled his fist at the marine and the fist smashed against him as the marine stumbled back into the streets. ¡°Game on!¡± Pogo shouted as he dashed into the streets. Pogos Battle & Sero Inuzuka The marine stumbled to his feet and began his counterattack. Pogo dodged every last punch with ease. Turns out this guy was all show and had no strength at all! He was all talk! Pogo landed another punch on him. The man was now enraged, he sent a deadly attack toward Pogo, and Pogo didn¡¯t even see it coming. Fast as lightning, the punch whipped him in the face and sent him flying into a sword shop, breaking the glass. Pogo shuffled to his feet, grabbing up two swords and returning outside, waving them out and around the marine. The marine was an even better swordsman, as he parried each strike like the amatuer Pogo was. ¡°You are a fool for challenging me!¡± He said with a vicious snarl to his demeanor. ¡°You¡¯re the fool! I will be the pirate king!¡± He parried the swords once again, and sent them flying into the air. Pogo took this opportunity of distraction without stopping to kick the marine in the chest. ¡°Hyahh!¡± The foot landed, and knocked the breath out of the marine. He slid back, planting his sword in the ground to keep his balance. A fierce determination lit up in his eyes. ¡°Since you are fighting me, I assume you¡¯re a pirate. You¡¯ll meet your end here in the name of justice!¡± He pointed his sword at Pogo. Pogo laughed, ¡°Hahaa! That¡¯s right! I¡¯m a pirate, and yeah I don¡¯t like the marines. My parents were slaughtered by them. Why would I ever like anyone who gave me family problems? Who made me an orphan!!¡± Pogo screamed, charging the man. ¡°Sinister Slice!¡± The marine shouted, his blade expanding in an allusive state that cut into Pogo¡¯s arm like butter. ¡°AGhhh!¡± Pogo yelped in pain, grabbing his arm. This was no ordinary seaman recruit. He was definitely stronger than the fodder. ¡°I am Ryan, a future marine admiral! You should bend over and die now while you can!¡± He sent a flurry of strikes that would cut at Pogo¡¯s skin. Pogo would simply dodge the best that he naturally could. An eye-opening moment appeared to him, as he saw a blindspot in the marine¡¯s swordsmanship. ¡°You justice brats speak of justice, but seek power and fame more than anyone else!¡± He said, his fist seering through the air toward the side of his rib cage. The sword came down over his shoulder, cutting down on him as the punch landed, the strike carrying throughout the back of the marine. Ryan staggered back, coughing up blood as he carried his sword with him, the steel slicing through Pogo¡¯s flesh as it slid off of him. Blood was running down Pogo¡¯s shoulder. ¡°I won¡¯t give in!¡± Pogo barked. ¡°You look ready to die anyways!¡± He screamed, sending a leg strike up at Pogo¡¯s chin and sending Pogo into the air. Pogo lost consciousness momentarily and reaffirmed his strength and came crashing down on the marine, a fist making contact with Ryan¡¯s face. ¡°Like hell I am!¡± You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. Ryan scoured to the ground in a heap of pain. He was pretty much clocked after that strike. The problem was not with Pogo¡¯s victory, but his condition after his victory. ¡°Stop right there pirate!¡± A bunch of marines surrounded Pogo with weapons and sabers. ¡°Oh¡ Why must it be this way?¡± Pogo clenched his teeth, and tried to run away, but the marines were everywhere and had swarmed him. Captured with no chance of escape, Pogo had been detained by the marines in Shells Town, early in his adventure. The marines said little to him, only attending to his wounds as he had immediate blood loss. Blacking out a few times, he didn¡¯t remember much, but instead woke up in a cell with another man. He had a bandage wrapped around his shoulder and arm. It seemed the marines had saved his life for the time being. It wasn¡¯t that they wanted to save him, but it was their duty. As justice called for it, Pogo was only a minor criminal for assaulting a single marine. It wasn¡¯t as if he were a massively wanted pirate with an infamous title or anything. Just some kid who had aspirations bigger than life itself. The man in the cell looked at him peculiarly. The man had black hair and white crystal cleary eyes with a black beard to suit. He was slender in form, and had a distinguishable scar that ran along his arm with a tattoo that read, ¡°G7.¡± Pogo¡¯s eyes popped at G7. G7 was the most infamous East Blue mafia known to man. They ran all kinds of corrupt dealing and were nasty people. Being apart of G7 meant throwing away your life if you were caught. It was obvious this man had comforted himself with death. They would surely have any G7 affiliate executed. ¡°Y-You¡¯re from that group?¡± Pogo asked timidly. He didn¡¯t want to get beat up, and he was sore enough already. He scoured to the corner to be safe. ¡°Kid. Those days are long past me. I haven¡¯t been affiliated with them in a long time. I ran away from that life, but they still put me in here because of the tattoo. Looks like I¡¯m gonna die for my mistakes.¡± He said rather open about his situation. ¡°Well, I¡¯ll help you get out of here if you¡¯ll join my pirate crew!¡± Pogo said childishly. So it begins, the inevitable downward spiral of Pogo trying to gather a strong pirate crew. The man was just so shocked at this statement, and no one could blame him. How idiotic! ¡°Kid, what¡¯s your name?¡± He asked Pogo with an irritated tone, and lit a smoke from his back pocket with his lighter that he had hidden from the marines. ¡°Pogo...Pogo D. Shuttle, and what¡¯s your name mister?¡± He asked him eagerly, not really afraid of the man in question anymore. ¡°I¡¯m Sero Inuzuka. So, do you know how dumb you just sounded about now? Kid, you don¡¯t look like you could ever pull my weight. If only I could shave this damn beard¡.¡± He mumbled to himself. He completely doubted Pogo and his abilities. ¡°So what? If you think I¡¯m not strong, then I challenge you to a fight!¡± Pogo stood up, the seriousness in his eyes said everything, and Sero¡¯s demeanor changed. ¡°If that¡¯s how you want to do this. Then let¡¯s go.¡± He stood up, towering over Pogo at a hefty six foot three. ¡°I¡¯ll kick your ass.¡± He said. ¡°Let¡¯s see you try.¡± Pogo said, flexing his muscles and feeling a sudden surge of energy within that he didn¡¯t realize he had. Pogo felt unbeatable. Hawk Vs. Falcon! A Fight Between Men. The intimidating man known as Sero Inuzuka was a pillar of strength in comparison to Pogo, but Pogo had planned for this all along. He might not win, but this was his ticket to freedom. He might even get Sero as a crew mate if he¡¯s lucky enough. Readying himself, he felt surprisingly light on his feet. It was as if that last fight had polished a monster in the making. ¡°Alright, go!¡± Pogo said, and the battle commenced. It detonated like an explosive star! The men charged in with fists at each other¡¯s necks. Pogo¡¯s was the first to hit, and then Sero¡¯s hit. Both punches sent the men into the walls, Pogo¡¯s was a little stronger. He was growing stronger at an unnatural rate. He didn¡¯t realize it himself, but his ambition was carrying his strength. The metal sound of beating and fighting ensued inside the cell. The marine guards began to hear these noises of shuffling feet and destructive body blows. Looking to the left, the marine was shocked to find a bloody scene. Pogo was barely standing as he breathed heavily for air. Sero was clinging against the wall as his eyes grew hazy. ¡°Stop right there! Fighting is not allowed!¡± The marines filed in and unlocked the gate, shuffling the keys into the lock and turning it just to where it would click. A hand caught the marines wrist from the inside of the cell. It was Sero, ¡°Do not enter this cell unless you want to die. This is a man¡¯s battle! A test of strength! If you interrupt, I¡¯ll kill all of you! I won¡¯t lose to this boy.¡± He turned his attention back to Pogo after having scared the seaman recruits waiting behind the cell. They were vastly afraid of the notoriety of G7. An infamous mafia group that held considerable bargaining power in the East Blue. It wouldn¡¯t be wise to get involved with the man apart of it. Pogo was breathing hard, his arms were crippled against his torso as his swollen face could hardly make out the G7 man¡¯s face. Against all odds, even after getting the shit beat out of him, he was growing stronger by the second. It wasn¡¯t after countless months of training or a hard fought battle, but the will to keep getting stronger and to become the king of the pirates. The will to defeat Ortis! ¡°I¡¯ll become the king of the pirates!¡± Pogo screamed, lurching his fist at Sero at a high speed. The punch sifted through the air like a deadly hawk as it came blow to blow with Sero¡¯s cheek. Sero¡¯s face contorted at the pain as he was forcibly flailed back into a corner. Pogo wasted no time, hitting a combination on Sero in the corner. ¡°Joiiiiin¡.myyyyyyy¡..crewwwwww!!!!!!!!!¡± He exaggerated each word, mauling all of his strength into this combination and feeling his heart bleed a somber tune of past regret. He would disregard his regrets into ambitions! Then it hit his jaw like a viper from the weeds, a destructive uppercut from the moon and back sent him flying backwards. Sero was bleeding from the combination attack, but he was durable and would never give up. ¡°What the hell are you made of kid? You were already injured when we started fighting!¡± Sero was in a state of disbelief. He couldn¡¯t believe that he had lasted that long, but now he was glad that it was over. If he hadn¡¯t finished it with that uppercut, he might have been finished himself there for a second or two. When he reopened his eyes, he was met with Pogo struggling to get up, his legs shaking and his back bucking as he tried to restlessly battle onward. ¡°I-I will not lose to you!¡± His fist grew tighter as he found his emergency energy tank and charged one more time at the man who would definitely not lose in his condition. Sero still had some energy to use.If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. ¡°Kid! You¡¯ve dug your own grave!¡± He sent a powerful hook at Pogo and sent him soaring once again, this time to the left. After clumping to the ground once more, he struggled to get up. Of course the marines watching this affair were dumbfounded on this boy taking on the G7 member. They were simply charred to the bone, and wouldn¡¯t move unless someone snapped them out of this trance and ordered them to move in. Pogo struggled to his feet with his sandals one more time. His blackish hair was now sweaty as he seemed to even tower over Sero now. What figurative scaffolding had risen Pogo to these heights? How was he so strong when it mattered most? Sero clasped his hands together, his brow furrowed in anger and evident frustration. ¡°Full Fist Falcon!¡± He said in a masculine voice, and took the stance of a martial artists. He was majestic as the falcon in his previous statement, the strikes were now air tight to the marines, but Pogo could clearly see each strike even though he couldn¡¯t dodge them himself. He took three hooked punches to the chest and coughed up a sizable amount of blood, crashing against the wall as rock crumbled against his cheek. From the depths of hell itself, Sero had pulled off a miraculous victory against the boy. His fist raised in the air as he reveled in his victory. He wasn¡¯t sure if he¡¯d gotten rusty while in the cell or if the boy was simply that strong, but he applauded him in the least. Now he couldn¡¯t force the argument that he had to join that dumb pirate crew. The marines were so shocked at this development, they had been rooting for Pogo to beat the man the entire time. They silently prayed for a miracle, and that¡¯s exactly what they got. With the flutter of his eyes, he reinvigorated himself again! This was his true showdown, as he stood up without struggle. He darted up even. Adrenaline coarsed his veins, and anger reinforced his hot-steaming blood. ¡°I will become King of the Pirates.¡± Pogo said, and Sero¡¯s heart immediately dropped, he barely had time to turn around before the enlarged image of a fist entered his vision and smacked straight against him. ¡°FuuUUghhGHH.¡± Sero said, crashing hard into the opposite wall with a bang. He barely had time to put up his guard before monumental strikes burrowed into his skin from Pogo. A full-on barrage to completely wear down the enemy. The exchange seemed endless as blood spurted from both parties, the battle had become completely one-sided and Pogo¡¯s rage continued in a bloody onslaught. This was a slaughter, and the marines stormed in and pinned Pogo against the opposite wall. He was still throwing punch after punch into the air in a mostly unconscious state of awareness. Sero on the other end was completely knocked out, his irisces were completely void of all life as he hung limp over against the wall. He wasn¡¯t dead, but Pogo had long since finished this battle. Under normal circumstances, Pogo wouldn¡¯t have won, but Pogo wasn¡¯t normal.
