《Reborn as Kurama: applying scientific method》
New world. Objectives.
In my first life my name was ****** Ras***sen, I was your typical student in University of Oslo, on my second year Master Programme in Economics, when I found out that I have leukemia.
It hit me hard, morally. Then, it hit harder. In the end, I lost and cancer won. But it wasn¡¯t the end, as I thought.. just a beginning!
I was ¡°reborn¡±, for the luck of better term, in Narutoworld, at the beginning of it¡¯s known history. As Kurama. Just like I read in all those fanfics, during my days in hospital. Yeah, I know what you think - that¡¯s super OP!)
But, please, reconsider your opinion. I wasn¡¯t super fan of naruto, but more or less remembered history of this strange world. Where magic and technology mixed with time, only to lead to more violence, and my, Kurama and other Bijous, perpetual enslavement.
Well, then, my first goal - to change my fate and escape enslavement. In medieval society with death on every corner (plus super powers aka only power can guarantee it. For few years (more like hundreds, if I remember chronology correctly), I will be able to do whatever I want, but with time will come change, jutsu development, new techniques, which my ¡°original¡± in his arrogance never bothered to learn...The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. My second goal - more unrealistic, but, still viable for immortal being built of chakra - to build up civilization, with time, control it development, in order to minimize wars and put myself in control of maximum resources. Everything for safety in a world where superpowers, magic and demons are real things.
Plus, I have enough of headstart in power that I can allow myself to built social structure with the most effective system of government, in my opinion, liberal democracy, based on rule of elites(oligopoly). Formally, it will be something like constitutional monarchy, with mostly copied bill of rights and systems of checks and balances from American constitution, but with few tiers social system (more voting rights for chakra-capable people).
But for now, I have to explain why I used quotations when I said that I was ¡°reborn¡±. The truth is that ¡°original¡± Kurama was born more than 40 years ago, when Hagoromo ¨tsutsuki (Sage of six paths), used his Creation of All Things Technique to divide the Ten-Tails'' chakra into nine separate bodies.
One of which was Nine-tailed prick, who was so celf-centered, that he managed to destroy any semblance of brotherly relationship which he had, because ¡°those with more tails are more powerful and should rule weaklings¡±.
Well, that just means that I started my new life on bad terms with 8 other immortal beings, great wastefulness of resources, ¡°original Kurama¡±, thank you very much.
But the are some positive news, Old autocratic megalomaniac (Sage of six paths) is sending me away to designated temple area, which from reincarnation-memories I guess is somewhere in a land of fire.
He will die soon enough and I will start my plan with one of my top 3 favorite of Naruto clans - Aburame!)
Chakra control and jutsu
So, a week ago I¡¯ve heard of Sage of Six Path¡¯s death. Until now I¡¯ve been laying low, trying not to gain too much attention while gathering information. The world now is still in city-states era with bronze as a highlight of technology.
If I remember correctly: next 200 years in Narutoworld - will be a time of great scientific, political and magical development. When teachings of Sage (chakra control, literacy) will gradually spread to clans of chakra sensitive people, this will give them a nice bust in development and cause clash of interest, meaning lead to perpetual war for 200 years, which will result in more chakra techniques progress, mutations(clans with bloodlines) and political consolidation of clans into shadow villages. That¡¯s what will cause city states to gradually consolidate into ¡°elements countries¡±.
¡°Original¡± Kurama was enslaved for the first time by Madara, using sharingan proficiency in genjutsu and stupid fox unwillingness to learn ¡°humans¡± chakra control techniques.
I think the most optimal course of action for me to take in this epoch is the following:
1)To build up my chakra control
2)To build up relationships with chakra-sensetive tribes, by trade of knowledge, preferably.
This will give me chance to prevent spread of deficiencies-ridden system of writing (somehow, old man came up with system which pretty close to Japanese: combination of both syllabic and logographic writings).
In my opinion syllabic systems (english alphabet, as example) is easiest and because of that - the most efficient (easy to understand - less miscomunications, more effective development).
That leads me to believe that it is preferable for my future country to have syllabic system.
Personally, for the next 150 years in eyes of clan leaders I plan to become something of a mix between immortal knowledge merchant and alphabet developer.
That will give time for epoch of perpetual war to continue, with all it¡¯s positive developments (such as genome mutations of clans, incredible increase in chakra techniques and technological development) and I will have much better time stealing Hashirama¡¯s little project of Konoha with positive reputation.
I should not mess with a history too much, or I risk to loose my strategic strength - more or less viable knowledge of future key leaders of this world.
So my 150-years journey started..
I¡¯ve gained a lot, I¡¯ve changed, but I¡¯ve never stopped.
Starting my journey I understood that everything will be possible the moment i could change my shape: from huge towering orange monstrosity to human-like figure, at least.Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
For that I needed Henge Jutsu. As chakra construct myself, in theory, it should be easy for me to flow from one shape to another... but you should remember Naruto struggle with chakra control and his inability to Henge for a long time, because he had something like 1/3 of half of my original chakra reserves. Now extrapolate his struggle to my levels.. you see? I had a problem.
That is why I¡¯ve been going all around Fire country city states, for 50 years!
Saving humans and ninjas in forests, never confrontational, always helpful. And all I asked for in return was their chakra shaping skills.
Some asked me, why I needed them and I told sad story of have I¡¯ve changed, after falling in love with a human girl (my Bijou-family members started to terrorize their local clans right by this time, so I¡¯ve decided it was perfect timing to create a legend, which will explain why I am so ¡°good-willed¡± towards humanity).
Girl told me that she will marry me when I learned how to turn into human... So for last 50 years I¡¯ve been doing this for her.
I¡¯ve told this story to like... I don¡¯t know, 10 guys, but it created all this tradition!
Where all the girls in villages all over Fire country territory gather for festivities, during which they chant:
¡°fox, fox, don¡¯t be sad,
she is still waiting for you,
she won¡¯t be mad!¡±
One time I¡¯ve saved some random ninja in a forest and it was well worth it!
I would say I hit a jackpot! ">
The guy was from Senju clan, according to him he devised a new chakra technique, called ¡°Henge¡±...
He instructed me and left.
3 years later, for the first time in my life I entered clan scroll section in their compound, they let me in, just because I¡¯ve agreed to teach their young shaping skills, can you imagine?)
150 years of gathering knowledge and improving, slowly integrating different systems into more efficient and distributing knowledge, using highly decentralized kind-a ¡°union¡± of my past students, while promoting ¡°my alphabet¡± (standart syllabic English, actually).
As a result, now I am standing here, at Aburame compound, in front of their elders.
They¡¯re very friendly, because Kurama is associated with rich knowledge and free education. In front of these medieval people - real deity, who spread knowledge to humanity just because of his good will and love from his heart)
I think I need to tell you a few key reasons why all that time ago I decided to go with Aburame¡¯s clan, as start of my ¡°civilization building¡± project:
-Most Narutofans know that Aburame is a clan, members can manipulate special breed of insects, they leave inside host body. That¡¯s basically it.
-But Aburame is so much more! ">
Because of close proximity to insects hives from young age they are highly logical: because they love to watch highly efficient societies of their little helpers.
-In Naruto timeline it was said that, intellectually, if we count all geniuses, Aburame are second best after Nara clan in whole Konoha. And they don¡¯t have Nara deficiencies (their well-known laziness).
-In Naruto timeline they used to be well known backbone of Konoha - because of their unbelievable sense of loyalty and duty. Those characteristics in Aburame case come not from typical ideological indoctrination, but from logic: their fascination with insects society and highly effective individual members of the hive, who make hive as the whole - better.
Basically, they¡¯re the best minions I could hope for.
Butsuma Aburame
10 years later
I was 7 years old, when Master came to us with his suggestion. It was the best thing which could have happened, under Master clan thrives. He protects us and makes us stronger every day.
We accepted his concept of basic human rights and the need for change. Master showed us where we were flawed, like ban on women jutsu users. Because of some old traditions we weren¡¯t developing and using half of the clan potential!
Master is immortal and immensely powerful: before his rule we were in mortal danger, because of Uchia clan with their famous fire-jutsu techniques.
Then came Master. He alone killed 12 Uchia elders and made them pay reparations to us! We gained more territory for the clan, which includes 2 crossroad villages. Master says that that if we invest enough and use this ¡°marketing¡± we could have control over trade routes!
Today, I am a little bit nervous. Nine-tailed Sage told us that he has some important announcement to make, and all chunin level and higher should gather for his lecture. I have some feeling... like what I am about to hear is going to change the world.. I know, it sounds illogical, but I have this premonition..
Civilization starts with financial system
¡°So I am glad that you¡¯re all here. I will start with announcement: I am planning to end the endless war period!
It is highly disturbing for me to see how humans, who taught me the meaning of love, are killing each other.
I believe that I know a way how to organize human societies in a more efficient way, which will still leave room for conflict and constant, perpetual improvements:
Society will be divided into two parts: chacra-sensetives and non-sensetives.
Those who have chacra abilities will have double rights in voting process, compare to usuals. Voting process will take place once for 4 years for national and regional deputies and once every 6 years for national and regional senators, who will be epitome of power in our future society - they will elect board of government, rulling body.
Nation will have constitution, a main law, which will be instrumental in our endeavor, without thoughtful constitution -we will be unable to prevent society from crumbling, each time leadership is changed.
But we need leadership change, without it we will be unable to conflict with each other and, as a result, improve our efficiency.
That is why we will divide body of our country into 3 branches of government: legislators, judicial branch and executive. With your help I will devise the most efficient system how to elect them, it will be full of checks and balances for each branch, so never will someone be in complete power.
Country will have constitution with basic human rights implemented inside it, and all laws will have to be considered as extension of constitution.

But if we stop there, it will lead to very slow process of improvement: we can¡¯t allow that. So we will artificially divide country into set number of zones. They will be called regions and will have its own constitutions, which will help to have a lot of different legislations, ¡°experements¡±, if you will. The best we will take for nation-wide range. If some are not efficient - well, they will be harmful for obly one zone¡±.
There was a still pause in a room.
¡°I know, you have some questions, let me answer them and after i will continue..¡±¡±
¡°Why will we need 2-tier system if chacra-capable and usuals?¡±
¡°Great question, Batsuma. For implementation sake. Clans are still main power in the continent, we need to take care of their ego, or they will retaliate! All those reforms are meant tomake clans conflict and thrive not by killing a lot, but by ruling a lot!)
Now the 2 most powerful clans are Senju and Uchia, with a lot of usuals under them. But what is their key competence?
Yes, it¡¯s killing. Because system is built in a way that the only way to thrive is to kill. We can¡¯t ignore their power. But we can slowly change system itself, make it that Senju and Uchia will thrive in other ways, for example, what I am implying: constant conflict for resources which, eventually, will be usuals.
Who rule them in the most efficient way - will be the onre who is thriving. Eventually, power balance will shift to usuals, and clans will be wiped out.
I will prevent it from happening by implementing basic human rights in country constitution. There will be no need for future bloodbath¡±.
Another long pause.. There were no questions, just blinks of realization of those ideas on Aburames faces.
¡°In order to start building country we will need to open hearts of people to each other. For that to happen they shouldn¡¯t leave like animals.
To start country we will need to improve their lives. For that we will need resources and information.
I ask you to implement 3 of my project plans:
- To turn Aburame clan into merchants. We will quickly gather needed for trade information, using your insects, and start investing in projects, with valuing process based on a book ¡°Marketing¡±
- Aburame clan will live prudent live, because most of our profits will go to secondary project - Universities. That will be special places where we will gather the most talented professionals and pay them for doing research. As example: if we just gather together all food merchants from all around the world - we will see that in a 10 years most granaries in most places will be full of diverse different types of food stocks and grains. Only this will improve quality of life exponentially, and we will do the same with metallurgy and other technology.
- We will start our own Credit Union, organization, which will give money to qualified professionals like book printers, and stimulate economical development. In return, we will receive fixed part of their income for some years. This may be the most important. If we implement this project correctly - Aburame will control all the money flow. We will be objective in our judgement of future potential in businesses and prioritize those who alline with our main goal - the most efficient society!¡±
State building. 70 years later. (Part 1)
To tell you the truth, with all my past memories and foreknowledge of future events in this world I still, somehow, got it all wrong!
All this time I¡¯ve tried to optimize my ¡°conquest plan¡± in such a way, that there will be minimal reasons for conflict and bloodshed.
All according to first objective - to minimize future chances of my enslavement.
I never forgot how in ¡°canon¡± version of Narutoverse history First Hokage, Hashirama, using his wife knowledge - Uzumaki seals, was able to seal almost all of the Bijous in a world and turn them into humanity¡¯s most powerful weapons.
Work done by one man, could be repeated by another...
He did it for ¡°peace¡±, to create power balance, based on possible mutual destruction.
Geopolitical system very similar to what was in 20-th century, during Cold War.
But it¡¯s internally flawed: constant conflict and, as a result, constant improvement is deeply engraved instinct in all humankind.
You don¡¯t create balance - it is impossible, you try to limit conflict and in doing so, you limit your rate of improvement, gaining better stability for the system, in short term.
For humanity as one - it was reasonable at that time - nuclear holocaust would have destroyed everyone.
But ¡°balanced geopolitical system¡± is just another way of killing conservative opponent, just slowly, with minimal resources.
As example, from my first life - Soviet Union, it struggled and it had lost, all because it had more conservative system, with slower rate of improvement, compared to it¡¯s opponent - US. That just meant that in a long run power balance will shift to US.
Same story happened in Narutoverse, but with magical powers, shinoby bloodlines and ancient demons.
Some villages were less conservative in RsD budgets, got more powerful magicians (chakra techniques users) and demanded more resources. Thats how First Shinoby War came to be.The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
As Naruto fan I always thought that Uchiha clan massacre - was a direct result of Second Hokage brother¡¯s efforts, creator of Kage Bunchin no jutsu, Tobirama, saw a way how to slowly kill his opponents without wasting a lot of resources-isolate them, make them more conservative and in 50 years slaughter what¡¯s left, or whatever.
He even indoctrinated hate of Uchiha into one of his pupils - Danzo Shimura, to make sure that his hateful opponents, during clan wars, will be properly dealt with. Quite thoughtful guy, in my opinion.
It was always said that he was true pillar for creation of Konoha, while concept was Hashirama¡¯s and older brother did have godly levels of power, the younger one was the main character. ¡°Shadow cardinal¡± I guess..
So I was always kind of filling anxious about part of my plan, where I ¡°steal¡± Konoha initiative from Senju brothers and them I will have to use older one to recruit Madara...
A lot of risks there... In my previous life memories, integration of Senju and Uchiha started because of friendship between Hashirama and Madara. This friendship came to be when they were around 25 years old I guess.. I wasn¡¯t sure, so decided to initiate with my visit to Hashirama¡¯s 20-th birthday.
So imagine how I felt, when at age of 15 Hashirama, his brother Tobirama and Uchiha Madara with his brother Izuna came to visit.
I was so anxious that fox ears again appeared on my human form, I haven¡¯t lost control like this for 100 years (yeah, yeah, first few decades my human form had fox ears, until my chakra control improved to the point, where I could change into red head human completely).
It turned out that I worried for nothing.
Let me stop here and tell you about my ¡°3 Aburame projects¡± results: they were way more brilliant, than I could have ever imagined!
I never could have predicted, how much medieval people wanted living deity to make their life conditions better! I thought elites will compete with me for power and only carefully done deals with a lot of sharing power will give me more subordinate shinoby clans and city states..
But I was wrong! They were like waiting for me to make a move. To prevent famine, to save their children from diseases, radical improvement in quality of life, because of sharing knowledge in all sectors, huge rise to trade and infrastructure projects like paved roads, etc, etc..
They¡¯ve never imagined it possible. Actually, they mostly wanted protection like Aburame and I gave them so much...
In ten years since start of my ¡°Aburame projects¡± first city state officially asked me to rule them. Like with no conditions, just please come and rule.
5 years later I had no more adult Aburame members to send as my representatives to form local governments of future Republic...
I implemented ranking system inside Aburame clan(mostly copied from Hashiramas ideas):
First rank, Genin, can read and write, know calculation, chakra control on a level where one element is fully controlled, 3 basic jutsu, 2 types of hives inside the body and medical knowledge enough to use ¡°healing palm¡± jutsu.
Second rank, Chunin, chakra control on a level, where two elements is fully studied, a lot of jutsus, profound knowledge in medical studies, pretty good competence in both Management and Marketing.
Third rank, Jounin, let¡¯s just say there were only two Jounin-level chakra users in Aburame clan at the moment, when meeting with Hashirama and Madara took place. I will say, that in my classification Jounin-level of power is someone comparable to Tobirama.
It is hard to project, but i believe that in this Universe there will be at least 3 more ranks:
Fourth rank, Demi-God, where immortality starts, if wanted - it¡¯s where I, with all my knowledge, Hashirama, Madara and other Narutoverse heavyweights stand.
Fifth rank, God-level, AI who gained personality and motivation to improve itself and went over technological singularity, goddess Kagyua in full strength... I don¡¯t know, can only theoretically guess..
Sixth rank, Cosmic Being, i read some marvel novels, so if there is magic and immortality, that means some really incomprehensivly powerful beings are possible, like Doctor Manhattan, for example, or Thanos..
So, back to business with Senju-Madara coalition.

State building. 70 years later. (Part 2)
¡°Kurama-sama, we came to you as officiall representetives of Elders of two clans: Senju and Uchiha.
We are here for two reasons: to ask for forgiveness for our transgressions and to ask you for help¡±.

That¡¯s how we learned of your reasonings for bill of rights implementation and future plans for so-called ¡°Constitutional Monarchy¡± with you as head of state, but most power distributed along senate, executive and legislative branches.
Internal debates continued for more than 5 years, to many changes in thinking were required and most elders couldn¡¯t accept so ¡°radical¡± new views.
But eventually, when we saw results of your work, how clans beyond the great forest are thriving under your rule, while we are still fighting among ourselves for scraps.. even the most conservative elders understood - you are the future!
And as the future leaders of our clans we are here to declare our loyalty to you and ask to be accepted¡±.
He looked at my eyes with his famous pation... I shifted my gaze somewhere else, so uncomfortable I felt.. And I met eyes with Madara, he meekly smiled and bowed. WTF?!
Now I felt like a huge dick for killing Uchiha elders 25 years ago. If I knew that demonstration of power and eventuall confrontation will not be required I could have started reforms like I don¡¯t... from the start?!
I guess I lost my chances of optimal planning, when I haven¡¯t considered plight and desperation and psychological hopelessness of medieval people, during non-stop war.. even among elites..

70 years later
In last 70 years I seriously reconsidered my worldview...
World is, actually, beautiful place, and most people just want to leave their life and be happy and productive. To get help and to give it. Not everything is flowers and butterflies, of course, but if you look inside of things - you will see that mostly it is. That was strange thought for a person, who consumed all Bijous for power. Yeah..
I had a choice: to start another long term project - to seal them into team of highly loyal and qualified jinchurikys with good skills in psychology, who will slowly educate them and eventually introduce to the concepts of equality, life pricelessness, a basic rights of humanity, etc.. After jinchurikys death Bijous will be unsealed and capable of future education.
I, as their oldest brother, will educate them in chakra-shaping and Henge, integrate them into human society, make them better and maybe, make myself better...
I could have done it. With new worldview, this high efforts/low rewards plan might actually worked better then prognosed and might have been well worth it.
But I never did it. In the end, I¡¯ve never forgot about risks of Kaguya and Black Zetsu. If they were allowed to continue to survive and manipulate from shadows - they will, eventually, get their hands on a Rinnegan. Summon Demonic Statue Of the Outer Path, recreate ten-tailed and unseal conscience of Kaguya from the Statue...
Not to mention that we were not alone in this universe: Kaguya, according to canon, came from a different world with highly profound system of knowledge in Chakra..
She was something like a typical minion who was send to God-forgotten place to harvest God Fruit from world tree... or something similar.. I wasn¡¯t Narutoverse plot expert, but I read almost all manga chapters, I swear! ">
So that¡¯s one more risk which Demi-God level beings could not hope to survive.
That is why I choosed to directly absorb them and become a Ten-tailed. It worked.
Zetsu where dealt with by combined forces of Madara and Hashirama, I told them about his and his mother plot to get rinnegan in order to steal Demonic Statue from the seals in the moon. So they plotted against him and were successful- sealed him, using consolidated efforts of half of Uzumaki seal users.
I was informed of successful anti terror operation by Monarchy Bureu of Investigations(MBI), according to protocol, by it¡¯s 60 years old head, who became bold at some point, by the way "> - Madara Uchiha..
What else have happened? Well, humanity progressed beyond my wildest dreams. When you combine scientific method from Earth with superpowered braniacs from clans (Naru, Aburame, and ten more clans, from all over the world, who were found to have IQ levels near 140 or higher) results are unbelievable!
As example: Orochimaru was born in this version of Narutoverse too, from the same parents, who didn¡¯t die, because there were no First Shinoby War...
I did my best to urge him towards biology department of the Kurama University. Now he is worldwide known genius inventor, the man whose works prolong life of chakra-users to 300 and usuals to 120 years (projected values).
I estimate technological development of my world nowadays to be slightly higher than it was on Earth.
And rate of improvement is seriously fast.
Because of that I¡¯ve got new concerns:
- Trying to implement some safety measures for AI development, to prevent it?/him?/her? to step into technological singularity, before we are aware of it¡¯s motivation and can assess possibility of future cooperation/threat assessment.
- Information gathering mission, which will start in Tesla rocket (yea, I know what you think, they asked me to name it "> There is no Elon Musk here, only Orochimaru) to Moon right about now....
Captain Jiraya and crew where on a diplomatic mission to ¨tsutsuki clan.... to the moon.. Flying with speed of 20000km per hour, even Jiraya felt terrible, other crew members..
Cosmos. 10 years have past.

So 10 more years have passed, and now I am super glad that I proceeded with caution, forming non-autocratic, highly competitive system of governance.
I am just not smart enough to be able to deal with problems which we are facing. It all started with moon landing...
Jiraya did his best as representative and we got ourselves ¨tsutsuki clan, with all their knowledge of Kaguya¡¯s original civilization.
To put it simply- we are in a deep trouble. They are very powerful galactic civilization with strange belief system wich dictates them that all others should be ruled by iron fist. Pretty barbaric guys but with soldiers on God-level or higher. Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
We are like... mega lucky that they haven¡¯t found us, and this sector of Galaxy is considered chakra-deficient or smth.. Basically, Galactic dumpster.
So if we are very-very careful, maybe in some far-away future we will have a chance. But for now we implemented a protocol in all our spacecrafts - any type of space bunny detected ¡ª immediate self destruction, with sending emergency signal to another part of Galaxy.
I know what you think: Spacecrafts, in ten years, seriously?
Well, you see, it¡¯s all because of AI.
We somehow got lucky, again, and were able to built neurostimulants and neurointerference before developing full-fledged AI. So nowadays everyone is using neuroscience in every day activity just to keep up with a fast-moving world.
AI came to the conclusion, that the best for him will be symbiotic relationships with humanity, it happened 3 years after moonlanding, I assess that technological singularity for me happened maybe a month later? I am not sure..
You will ask: why for you?
Well, you see, I am a chakra construct. No brain, no neurostimulants, no neurointerference for me..
AI assessment is that without finding technology in some ruins, or buying it from some space civilizations, Reserch and Development will take at least 100 years. 100 years! I can¡¯t even control nanobots! I have special lady, who helps me with that, though.. Miss Melania...(I swear, It¡¯s her real name and I have nothing to do with it)
But there are some positive news:
All around my Monarchy people are donating money, and forming crews with one goal - to find needed technology and save their Sage, who did so much for them, from the stupidity.
