《Born as Slime In New World》


 Prolog - New Life, New World

    In the forest that knows as Nasty Forest located in the kingdom of Sasara, the place that acts as a house for many dangerous creature and poisonous swamp, a new life is about to be born. The weather is sunny with a few clouds, it is a suitable day for our main character to be born again.


    Under the tree there is a single egg lay down around the tree roots, the egg it moving around and it seems that it is the time for a new creature to be born in the forest. Few minutes after the egg is moving around, a single crack can be spotted on the surface of the egg.

    The eggshell has broken then a small creature is jumping around to taste it first freedom after several days traps inside the egg. The appearance of that creature is small in size and round shape does not have leg or hand just round with a pink colour around its body.     The slime that just been born is jumping around and produce a cute sound when its body touches the ground.


    Slime: finally, I can break free from the egg. It so scary to think that I can''t move or even run from any dangerous beast in this forest.


    Slime: but now I am a free man, so I can wander around n seek for a safe place to begin my new life without has to think about work and others things.


    For the time being, that slime has decided to make the place where his just born as the base for this time because he just is born and yet to know about the surrounding areas. To avoid the possibility that he will meet a larger monster and being killed on the first day his born, it is a good idea not to move around until he finishes analyse about himself and makes a plan to survive.


    Thus it begins, the story of a man that is being reincarnated as a slime in the new world.

 Chapter 1 - Become Slime

    ** Main character POV **


    Shimizu Ariya is 18 years old typical male teenager that can be found in the country of Japan. The daily life of this teenager is nothing special without any event or encounter that can be considered big.


    Despite that, Ariya is the type of person that really smart and eager to learn anything new or unknown to him. That kind of spirit has made him easy to learn anything that picks his interest.


    One day, on his way to return from school, Ariya has come across with a cat that nearly drowning in the riverbed. Without thinking of anything, Ariya jumps off in order to rescue that cat but sadly both of them drown and die in that incident.


    Ariya view has become dark and he cannot see anything besides his own body. It seems that the surrounding area has changed.


    Voice: Welcome young man, it seems you have died in your previous life. Hehehe


    Ariya: What? Who there, where am I?


    Voice: You can call me God.


    Ariya: God? Like Izanami and other?


    Voice: No-no, I''m a god from another world. Thus, the reason we meet here is that I will bring you to my world for the second chance.


    Speechless and despair Ariya stand frozen in his place because his mind cannot process all the sudden fact that his just die. After calming his own body and soul, Ariya opens his mouth to ask a few questions.


    After few words Ariya manages to know that the reason why he chooses to be reincarnated into that world is that of the condition of that world is really bad, the god needs to bring a person that has the higher positive energy to bring balance to that world.


    God: that is the reason I pick you Ariya-Kun, will you come to my world?


    Ariya: what should I do after being sent there?


    God: nothing, just have the life just the way you want.


    Not only he can live once again, but he doesn''t need to care about anything and got nothing to do in that world like slaying demon lord or save the world. This is a good opportunity for him, Ariya can have his life just like he wants.

    A voice that Ariya familiar with echo in his ear.


    God: because we forget to decide what kind of race to reincarnate you so I just decide to make you as a slime.

    The voice now is gone.

    Ariya: I''m totally in deep trouble, I did expect to be born as slime when i pick those skill.

    The sound from his stomach can be heard to his own not exists ear. For now, his main priority is to find some food to eat and fresh water to avoid dehydration.


    But the main problem is, he doesn''t even know what is slime eat in order to survive, based on the manga he read some slime are eat poop in order to live.


    He can''t accept the fact that maybe he needs to eat poop to survive thus, he decides to have a little walk around his current location to search for a food to live.


    The forest is really thick and full of large tree, walking around aimlessly Ariya can''t throw his fear for being lost inside the forest. Then, he came across a small tree and have few fruits on it.


    At first, Ariya is afraid to eat that fruit because he doesn''t have proof to show those fruits is not poisonous fruit. After a few minutes thinking, some deer looking animal come and eat that berries, seeing that deer don''t show any bad effects after eating that berries Ariya take a few bites on that fruits.


    Store few berries inside his inventory, Ariya keep walking into the forest and then he found out a place where many small eggs being together. The shell is just like the one he in before, it seems that Ariya has found a place where slime lay its own egg.


    Ariya: I have found my home it seems. I should take a tour to see if there any slime that I can communicate with and ask the information about the location I am now.


    *Smack


    Suddenly he can hear the sound of a broken egg when Ariya turns his body around he can''t help but too afraid because now he can see a huge lizard-like monster. It has two horn on his head and there is a scar on his left eye and that lizard is eating slime egg. Ariya quickly knows that this beast is eating slime egg and slime as part of its diet.


    That lizard is as big as a car and the whole body is cover with armour-like scales. Based on the look it seems impossible to pierce through that armour.


    Without wasting time Ariya quickly run away leaving what he just found and the chances to look for information, for now, his top priority is to run somewhere safe. Looking at his back it seems that the lizard does not interest in chasing him and it prefers to eat those egg.


    The sun is getting low and the view is becoming dark, Ariya needs to find shelter a place where he can sleep. The option he has is just to climb up the tree but it fails miserably, the last option is to cover his entire body with mud and pretend to be rock. For now, he needs to bear with this kind of condition in order to survive for the night.

 Chapter 2 - New Hope And First Evolution.

    Yesterday was a hell for Ariya, not only he is born as slime but at the same time, he does even have fighting abilities as well as good and op skills to help him survive. To make thing even worst, he even meets with a giant lizard that preys on slimes.

    Ariya begins his morning by heading straight to the river in order to wash his body that covers by mud. The river is very beautiful with clean and glittering water, Ariya takes a bath there and he keeps thinking about what he has to do in order to survive.


    Not far from his location, Ariya spot some movement in the bushes. Scare with the sudden event, Ariya quickly hid in the water, pretending not to be there Ariya monitor whatever has come to the river.


    *Pyun - Pyun


    Several unknown slimes are jumping and sliding into the river, there are many types of slime as well as size. Ariya noticed that some of this slimes have differences in colour compare to another slime. Then he knows slime is capable to evolve into the next level.


    Some of the slimes have a plant on its head, some of it has a shape like a rock. The main question is, how to evolve into this kind of slime, Ariya emerging from the river then all of the slimes notice him. Thinking that Ariya is the same as them, that slime let Ariya unharmed in the pack.


    Looking around Ariya spot a single slime is eating leaves on the bushes then suddenly that slime change its colour into green and have seed looking thing pop out from his head. Ariya finally know, in order to evolved slime need to consume something or anything which is edibles.


    Ariya: this good, now I know what I need to do in order to become stronger. I need to eat something to evolve.


    Eager to test his new finding, Ariya quickly takes a few bites and eating 4 pieces of leaves around the bushes. Sadly to him, the taste of that food is really gross, even so, Ariya keeps eating for his own benefits.

    Ariya turns his body and sees a big slime is talking to him, amazed at what just happen Ariya quickly reply to the question just now.


    Ariya: well, I want to evolve so I eat this leaves.


    Big Slime: you sure that you want to evolve into that affinity? You should choose really well because once you take that affinity you can''t change it for the rest of your slime life.


    Ariya: what is affinity?


    Big Slime: well it just like the element of this world, there are fire, water, earth, wind and other. In another word, eating rock will turn you into earth affinity slime and if you eat leaves it turns you into life affinity.


    Listen to big slime story made Ariya curious if another slime also has abilities to think and talk like that one. Try to communicate with other slime but the only replies he gets is just a sound which slime usually make.


    To think that only big slime can communicate and think just like human-made Ariya feels curious about it affinity. But at first Ariya need to become big enough to survive from any attacks and the only problem is what type of affinity he should choose.


    The other slimes are started to move from the location, but Ariya decide not to follow them because the direction that slime goes is into the depth of the forest, it not wise for him to go into the forest because he is weak and Ariya would like to avoid unnecessary battle.


    Ariya plans to go somewhere safe and nobody or any monsters would likely to be there. Walking toward a different way from the group of slimes, Ariya hoping that he will found an exit from that forest.


    Few hours of endless walking, Ariya came across with a wooden old house near the lumber place. Ariya scout around to see if there any people live there but there is no sign of living thing in there. Slowly, Ariya enter the house, inside the house is quiet and messy but there is nothing special that lick his interest until he came across with a single room on the second floor.


    Inside that room there is a skeleton of a human lying on the bed, Ariya go near that dead person to see if anything that useful for him but the only thing his found is a book in the hand of that skeleton.


    Ariya: what happens if I eat this skeleton, will I be a human or I will become skeleton slime.


    Keep on talking with his own mind, Ariya decides to eat that skeleton but in the last moments, before he eats, Ariya change his mind and eat the book instead. The book is gone in a flash like it being absorbed into Ariya body, checking his condition Ariya doesn''t find anything weird and change from before.


    Suddenly all the surrounding area become dark and Ariya cannot move, it seems that he going to take a deep slumber.
