Chapter 12: The Buzzings of the Outer Sect
"I came early and discovered that there were many people at your doorstep, so I made Little Rock scare them away because they were being extremely nosy. Then I saw that you were sleeping so I didn''t want to disturb your rest and waited in a nearby area, guarding your home from these weird strangers" Luo Rei said with a caring and soft voice, though that voice did not even remotely fit in with her image.
If anyone was to hear that voice, they would be drowned in a blissful dream, enjoying their brief eargasm.
Only to awoken by a horrendous nightmare that shattered the fairy like image of the imaginary person they had in mind, once they see the true owner of the voice.
Luo Ren turned towards the mountainous man standing behind his eldest sister, and bowed.
"Thanks, Little Rock, for clearing away those nuisances, it was much appreciated"
"Huuumpft"
The Hercules like man, who was supposedly called ''Little Rock'' grunted in displeasure at Luo Ren, for calling him so.
His stern eyes mounted a ginormous gravitational pressure upon Luo Ren, as if Mt Tai had dropped from the sky, with Luo Ren suddenly being shackled by the raw thorny vines that appeared instantly from beneath to earth to put him in place, rendering him unable to escape from the pressure of the mountain.
David watched in surprise as all that, only made Luo Ren bow his head in embarrassment.
Luo Ren had accidentally called the expert, ''Little Rock'' , due to his sister calling the expert that nickname.
"Eh?" The man that called, ''Little Rock,'' exclaimed in shock.
He was surprised to see that his pressure had done almost nothing towards the young man before him, it was as if his technique that he had used countless of time before, was just an ordinary fart.
Many people who had the misfortune to suffer his mysterious pressure had either knelt immediately, trembled in fear, or beg for forgiveness.
Never had he seen, someone so weak, ignore his pressure, like air.
''As expected of a Luo descendant, sigh, I wish my master was at-least somewhat talented in anything other than eating more than she can stomach'' Little Rock though, before briefly glancing at Luo Rei''s visage with helplessness.
"That was rude of me, I''d always heard rumours of you protecting my eldest sister from the shadow, it''s my first time seeing you, may I have the pleasure of knowing your excellencies real name?"
The tall muscular man replied instantly, in a deep bearish voice "Rock"
The only reason he had replied was because he had personally vetted Luo Ren''s worth, and felt that he was worthy of responding to.
If Luo Ren had fallen to his aura like every other weakling, then he would had disregarded him, and wouldn''t respond regardless of how many times Luo Ren bugged him.
''His name is actually Rock? Is there no last name?'' David thought with a nonchalant expression, and Luo Ren reacted by repeated the name, committing it to memory.
Actually, if Luo Ren was just a normal person then he would had totally reacted in a totally normal way, scared shitless.
Unfortunately for Luo Ren, he had been through too many things in his life that had strengthen his will.
His will was like a fierce lion that crawled its way out of a vicious jungle, and survived.
The bullying, the beatings and his fathers cold disdainful attitude.
Some people will break.
Their willpower will crumble in the face of despair, a single touch of a leaf branch will collapse the whole tree down to the trunk.
But there are others, some who come out stronger than ever.
An arrogant iron will forged by the cruel society of the world, this was what became of Luo Ren.
His willpower has transcended beyond mortal understanding, one that ordinary cultivators, fail to achieve in their entire lifetime.
This iron will does not come with extreme benefits, only a slight boost in mentality which guarantees a small raft in the journey of the cruel unending cycle called cultivation.
If Rock had used his full power in thrusting his aura upon Luo Ren. Then forget about kneeling, Luo Ren would be laying on the floor, finding it hard to breathe a single puff.
"Anyway, I''m sorry for making you worry about me, eldest sis, how about this, I''ll try my best to make it up to you" Luo Ren said in a pleading voice, while bowing slightly, dozens of times, in quick repetition.
"Awe, you don''t have to do that, anyway, I will forgive you this time, but if it happens again, hummpft... But you should just be careful, I think that everyone is looking for you, I heard from rumours floating around the sect that you did something amazing. As expected of my youngest brother!" Luo Rei with said a smile, and a hint worry as she saw the stack of envelopes left laying in waste.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
"You don''t need to worry about me, if anyone comes after me, I''ll just run, and also, don''t I have you looking after me?"
"Younger brother, shouldn''t it be the other way around? Heh, don''t try to jump out of your responsibility, the brother should always protect their sisters, hummpft" Luo Rei pouted with a pretend angry face,
"Ah, you caught me there, anyway, as for my gift for making it up to you, what do you think of me teaching you how to ride our mysterious ancient relic mount" Luo Ren said while tapping Davids handlebars.
"Really? Thank you younger brother!"
"Right, but regarding this, I have some bad news and some good news. the bad news is that you can''t ride this tool immediately, ah don''t worry, the good news is that if you lose weight, depending on your effort, you can begin riding the ancient relic mount at minimum, in one month" Luo Ren said while scratching the back of his head.
"Lose weight? You can lose weight?" Luo Rei was absolutely confused.
"Eh?" Both Luo Ren, Rock and David, were all dumbfounded.
"Yes, if you exercise and stick to a diet plan, you can shred fat easily" Luo Ren explained with a wry smile.
"What? Then what are we waiting for? I want to do this exercise thing right now!" Luo Rei said with shiny bright eyes, as if she discovered something interesting for the first time.
''Is that all it took? People have been trying to get her to lose weight and cultivate so that she can become like her sister, but Luo Rei seemed to have the iq and eq of a 4 year old...'' Rock thought with a hint of disbelief in his eyes.
Rock then stared at Luo Ren with a stern frown, as if he was saying. ''Why didn''t you get her to lose weight years ago, huuuumpft!''
"How about we go to our secret area that we use to play when young?" Luo Rei suggested.
"Uh...hmmm, ok, I was going to take this relic for a spin, but I guess we could do it in the secret area" Luo Ren replied after carefully thinking.
"Ok, lets go" Luo Rei said cheerfully.
Rock was holding a small top quality pull carriage, made out of precious top 1st grade white mahogany wood, with a large fancy seat situated in the middle with high quality purple silk cotton.
This carriage seemed to be like something a donkey would pull, except it wasn''t a donkey pulling it, it was Rock.
Luo Rei was about to sit back onto it for a ride, but her younger brother stopped her.
"I think we should start that exercise now, we have two precious legs that we were thankfully, born with, so why shouldn''t we use them?" Luo Ren said in a lecturing tone.
"Ah, ok, Little Rock, put the carriage away, we are going to walk from now on"
"Huh?" Rock jaw dropped as he was dumbfounded once again.
The spoilt princess who like to be carried everywhere is now wanting to walk? He wasn''t complaining, but he felt it was more likely that the planet would descend into a fiery flame and self explode than his master, suddenly getting off her ass, to walk a long distant to her destination.
No disrespect, but he also knew the location of the ''secret area'' and felt like Luo Rei would die first, before reaching towards the destination, on foot.
"Are you sure master? The secret area is still a long way away" Rock said courteously.
"Ah yes, I''m serious about this matter, don''t change my mind" Luo Rei said while sprouting a heroic posed with two hands of her hip, and her chest puffed out.
"Ok, but if you change your mind, I''ll take out the carriage and carry you again" Rock said in a thoughtful, but flat tone, before holding out his palm towards the carriage.
''Wooooooosh''
David saw that the carriage just vanished out of thin air as it was sucked inside Rocks'' spatial ring.
''I got to get me one of them one day'' David thought inwardly.
"Ok, off we go! Huehue, this feels like one of those adventure that dad always talk about when he was younger" Luo Rei said joyously.
Luo Ren just sighed in response, before thinking. ''Aren''t we just travelling for a few hours through the sect and city, this isn''t really an adventure...''
"I''m gonna be riding the tool while you walk, I want to get more familiar with it, and also, you can see what the ancient relic is like, while exercising" Luo Ren said while hopping onto David, kicking his foot off the ground, and placing them onto the pedals.
"Ah" She saw her young brother just riding slowly towards the exit, but he circled around and returned back towards her and Rock.
"Heh, what are you waiting for?"
Luo Rei snapped out of her dazed, and motioned her left foot forward, then her right foot forward, then her left foot forward again.
And before you know it, she was walking behind Luo Ren, with a happy smile as Rock watched over all of them, he was keeping viligance of the surroundings.
It only took around twenty minutes for them to make it out of the isolated, worn down outer sect area that Luo Ren lives in, to a more populated area in the outer sect.
The good news is, Luo Ren had ridden a little over a mile, the bad news was, that the group had entered the site of other cultivators.

........
"Hey isn''t that Luo Ren?"
"You mean the Gentle Trap Goddess?"
"Shhhhh, he will hear you, and didn''t you hear about what he did?"
"Eh, did he seduce another young master with his peerless beauty? Hehe"
"Shut up, you can''t offend him now, he had done something extremely shocking"
"What do you mean?"
"Do you know the Twelve Heavenly Ghost Star Streaking Mantis Steps of the Immortal Gods?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"There was a rumour floating around, that Luo Ren has advance from stage 1, to stage 2 of that technique!"
"Ha? There is no way, that trash did what no one else could do for tens of thousands of years?"
"It''s true, there were hundred of witness, including the young master of the Jing Clan, Jing Bai!" Soft whispers were bouncing off in area corner like an echo in a deep cold cave.
The incident dissolved outwards like a raving mad disease, as if a young child had thrown a pebble into a pond, and the ripples it cause were waves of unstoppable chatter.
"Right, in the past, he wasn''t favored by his clan, I bet his clan must have been extremely regretful, and are scrambling to have him back, sigh, Luo Ren would be heavily favored, perhaps he is now in the list of the top five most important people within his clan, but at least he will still just be below his genius sister, Luo Ru" A random cultivator said while gritting his teeth in jealousy.
There were a lot of jealous gaze pointed towards Luo Ren, some were even afraid because they were one of the people that forced Luo Ren down to grovel, perhaps, now that Luo Ren will most definitely be placed into a high position, he would choose to take revenge on them.
While others were jealous or afraid, some presented themselves as blatantly hostile, as if their killing intent pooled outwardly like common sweat.
Some were even planning how to murder Luo Ren in their mind.
You couldn''t blame them, Luo Ren was somewhat similar to an ant.
An ant that could be squashed at any given moment, with just a thought.
But who would had thought that this ant would one day suddenly transform into a dragon.
In their mind, Luo Ren was just a lowly existent, but now he had sprouted wings.
How can they not be afraid and hostile since they had personally beated, insulted, and looked down upon the black sheep of the Luo Clan.
A young man that had been discarded as trash for unknown reasons.
But now they were scared, scared because Luo Ren had grown a set of wings.
Scared that he will upset natures balance.
Chapter 13: Ying Yang Gate Entrance
"Rock" Luo Rei said nervously, her voice had a hint of anxiety as she saw the watchful eyes of all the outer disciples aimed towards her direction, well, it was more like the countless wary eyes were centered onto one person, which was Luo Ren.
''Woooooooosh''
Rock waved his hands and summoned the same pressure-like technique to the annoying surrounding spectators that buzzed in all different shades of colour to quiet down.
Whether they were jealous, afraid, hostile, or there to just watch the show, even those that were minding their own business weren''t spared from Rocks'' influence.
"What is this? I can''t move"
"Which expert has come? Don''t they know the Sect Rules, the outer disciples can''t be bullied like this..."
"I...I ca...can''t bre...breathe!"
"Who cares, let just bow and apologies, before running off!"
"Let''s run, it seems that Luo Ren already has a strong backing right now!"
Rock released his nightmarish pressure that sent these outer disciple trembling on their knees.
As soon as they felt the pressure veiling upon them removed, they bowed towards Davids group, and scrammed far away out of sight.
The once bustling area of the outer sect was now desolate, still, there were some brave disciples staying hidden under cover, watching David''s group from afar.
Each of these disciples were spies from different powers, whose goal were to follow and trail behind the group, to keep an eye out for Luo Ren.
These respected powers all just want one thing, the second stage of the Twelve Heavenly Ghost Star Streaking Mantis Steps of the Immortal Gods movement technique.
It just seems that they all have though of different ways to milk that knowledge out from Luo Ren.
Some wanted to coerce him with benefits that even an expert couldn''t say no to.
Some wanted to capture him in secret, torture him, make him spit out the knowledge. and once they do so, they will discard him for no longer having any use.
And some, like the Jings, will try to use the word family, just to lure him into their home.
All in all, there were hundreds of method for them to use to get Luo Ren to spit out the secret, though none dared of having any thought of using Luo Rei as hostage as one of their plays, since the triplets father is still alive.
Invoking Luo Han''s wrath wouldn''t be worth it for the culprits as it would spell the end of their entire family and all nine generations.
Except, that there were rumours of Luo Han, the Sect Leader of the Divine Relic Sect, was suffering from a curse and is dying soon...
This is exactly what they call, a heaven sent opportunity.
Anyone who would get a hold of the lighted torch, a unique sign of champions and winners by gaining monopoly on the second stage of the Twelve Heavenly Ghost Star Streaking Mantis Steps of the Immortal Gods technique, will become the top dogs of the mountain overnight.
In the past, shift in powers were very common, but not enough in evoke a bloody war between multiple powers. The seat of Sect Leader has changed hands many times, but each major family at least once, did have a taste of that power at some point in time in the tens thousands of years that flew by as quicly as a burning candlestick.
Some major clans have fallen, some has risen, some went into hiding, biding their time to stage a comeback.
But this is true for all, whether you are in a major clan or not, whoever holds the position of Sect Leader, takes control of the whole City, and it''s army.
There are 6 Major Clans situated in Suuinsong City.
The Luo''s, they have taken the most collected seats of ''Sect Leaders'' in the entire history of the the Divine Relic Sect.
They mostly dabble in relics, appraising, weapons and armoury business, and host the most popular Auction club in the entire city, called the Divine Auction House.
The Jing''s, they are famous for warfare and violence, they host the number one mercenary guild in the entire city. They also hold acres of spiritual farm lands and dabble in exporting and importing goods all over the country.
The Sun''s are a really wealthy family, they pride themselves as the number one appraisers, despite having nearly everyone in the Divine Relic Sect learning how to appraise all different manner of items.
Divine Relic Sect main tutelage is related to relics, but in-spite of that, the Sun''s have really taken the number one spot.
That is, if your not counting Luo Han the Sect Leader, whose dreams was becoming the number 1 relic hunter in the world, except no one knew this, and since Luo Han had always kept silence to himself, no one knew his talent regarding appraising except his father, the current Grand Elder of the Sect.
The Dong''s are a family of that major in spears, they can be the ultimate fighters if talented, though in this era, the Dong family has developed fewer cultivators in the ''way of the spear'' to a high realm. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Dong Ki, the current patriach of the Dong Clan, and the Vice Sect Leader of the Divine Relic Sect is said to have excellent spearmanship, and that his strength is only second to Luo Han.
They say that his attacks are vicious like vipers and as poisonous as snakes, his maneuvers are tricky and deadly, and that his enemies all die with a puncture in their throats.
Dong Ki likes to secure a sure kill, finding his enemies weaknesses, and cutting through for the kill shot like a hot knife in butter.
The Xei''s are very mysterious, they are the newest Major Family that came from an ordinary mountain. They say that the current patriarch was just an ordinary villager, who found an inheritance and fought his way up to the top.
A true self made man. But he is one that doesn''t communicate or connect with outsiders easily.
The Kuzou''s are fairly powerful in Qi cultivation, but in return, their body cultivation is very weak due to their mysterious bloodline. They say that the trade is worth it when you have a clan library full of Qi cultivation manuals.
The Kuzou''s are arrogant when it comes to Qi control and power, but suffers harsh penalty when it comes to hand to hand combat as their bodies are built like twigs.
All six major clans, plus many more outsiders, are after Luo Ren and his secret. Whoever is the one to snatch the secret first and if they successfully take full monopoly on of the technique, then they would perhaps permanently stay at the top of the mountain as king for all eternity.
Luo Ren had no way predicted how wild it could get, but he had to expose his secret, and use the second stage of the strong movement technique to run away from the cultivators back then..
If not, the ancient spiritual relic that apparently has a soul, ''David,'' would had died then and there under the angry guise of Jing Bai and the surrounding disciples following his lead.
This incident has attracted an unstoppable calamity.
It was like a toad harboring a treasured jade, but was discovered by greedy humans, and the next thing you know is that they are pouring oil down his well, then lighting up the match and laughing at the misfortune of the burning toad while reaping the benefits.
No matter how high that toad jumped, he could never escape the well and could only succumb despair as the blazing fire flood his whole being.
But, it would had been an entirely different story if the toad had wings.
Luo Ren had just barely sprouted wings, and using them to soar the starry sky is a whole different matter, it is up to him to make that decisions to fly towards the heaven.
And that journey does not come with hardship.
The toad, if given wings still has to resist the high temperature of the burning heat, avoid catching fire, ascend upwards and deal with the greedy humans treasuring his jade.
The toad could do many things at this point of time, but the decision and outcome should pave way for him to be flying up into the heavens, rather then getting beat down and returning to the fiery well from whence he came.
Luo Ren is the same, he can''t depend on luck, or wait for a saving grace in the form of an angel, who is holding a bucket of water that can put out the fiery blaze.
Because without dealing with the situation himself, the same thing would happen again and again and again.
What he needs is ride the waves of momentum, grow stronger, stronger then everyone going after him, so he can dictate his own future, so that he can look down on everyone from the sparkling stars deep in the heavens, and never be put in that position again.
The group quickly moved on, and although the sect may be extremely large, they quickly left the outer sect area and traveled towards the main entrance of the sect which host the access points between the Sect, and Suuinsong City.

+ 1 Rider EXP (Luo Ren)
The Divine Relic Sect only has one opening, which is situated at the very from of the sect, a gated entrance which called the Ying Yang Gate since it is divided into two colours horizontally, ''black and white'' the gate is also protected by two guards.
The whole sect is protected by a top 3rd tiered formation in case of an intruder attack, but in the face of an all out attack, it won''t hold forever, but at least it will by the sect time to properly react.
There is another way in, if you have a core disciple tablet, with it, you can ignore the borders of the formation, and easily walk right through.
With a core disciple tablet, you can also fly a flying ship in and out of the formation, and the city, which is why everyone is envious of that position.
"Halt! Reveal your identity" One of the entrance guard with a mole on the tip of his nose said in a nonchalant expression.
"Are you two perhaps Luo Ren and Luo Rei?" The other guard, with a thick black mustache said with an unsure expression.
"Ah, ye...yes, that is us" Luo Rei said with a force smile, her breathing was very rough but she tried to hide it.
"We''re sorry for blocking you two on your way out, young master and young mistress" The mustache guard said.
"Ok" Luo Rei didn''t want to talk very much, her whole body was sweating like a pig sty.
Her dress sported a giant armpit stain in both arms, her hair was messy and wet, her makeup was smudging up, and her breathe was as heavy as a whale on sand.
She couldn''t control her breathing properly, her legs trembled and her heart was beating as quick as a hummingbird.
Just a small walk that took less than an hour, had gotten her tired, they even descended downhill but it still was too much for her to bear.
Though she tried to act strong as she kept her back straight and marched right on out of the gate entrance, and into the streets of Suuinsong City.
"Why did you let them go? You know that there are rules in place for outer disciples, they can''t easily exit the sect with free will, to leave they either need to be on a sect mission, or carry a leave pass" The guard with a mole said to the other guard in a tone of anger.
"What do you know? I know you are new here, but do you even know who they were? They were Luo Ren and Luo Rei"
The mustached guard said in annoyance.
"I know their names but those two can''t be them, wait..."
"Yes, they were them, Luo Rei, the big fat girl, is the favoured daughter of the Sect Leader, plus she isn''t even a disciple of the sect. I don''t know why but the Sect Leader has given her free pass to access everything in the sect, though Luo Rei doesn''t really take advantage of this god sending perks. Sigh I envy her, she has the most free will out of everyone, but what does she do with that... And then there is Luo Ren, you must of heard of him and his history?" The mustached guard said while sighing out loud.
"Yes, who hasn''t heard of him... But was that young man really the Luo Ren? I have seen Luo Ru once, and between them, the difference is like heaven and earth, Luo Ren aura is really mortal, but now that I mentioned it, his face is shockingly similiar, I didn''t see his face until they left, I was more focused onto the big scary guy at the back, anyway, whats the deal with that big man following the two Luo''s" The mole guard said in confusion, while reminiscing his past memories of Luo Ru.
"That is Rock, geez man you should really study and memories peoples faces, lest you accidentally offend one of them. I''ll just tell you this, Rock is a core disciple and an orphan, he was saved by Luo Han when was young, but I guess he feels that he owes the Luo family deeply if he chose to bodyguard that woman, Luo Rei."
"Don''t you wonder what the personal story behind the Luo Family is? They all seem so strange, especially the triplets, sigh, I was just thinking about Luo Ren and how he was bullied a lot, some of the guards also participated in the bullying, I bet they deeply regret their actions. I''m just thankful that I didn''t make a move onto him in the past, Luo Ren must have a long list of names he''d like to take revenge on" The mustache guard said clicking his teeth.
"Ah, yes that''s true, I just hope that there won''t be bloodshed''s in the future... Ah why are there multiple people coming here? Halt! Reveal your identity!"
"Oh here is my identity tablet" A bold headed monk like cultivator wearing an inner sect robe, said while a hold red mysterious bone beads bracelet.
Chapter 14: Civil War
The two entrance guards looked towards each other in shock as they saw the name of the bold headed monk engraved onto the sect identity tablet.
"Your tablet has been confirmed and recorded, young master you may exit the the sect now, but you need to remember that as an inner disciple, you only have a week of free time outdoor before you must return, if you return any later, you will be punished according to sect laws" The mustached guard said courteously.
"Yeah yeah, I know the procedures" The mysterious monk said before proceeding to take out two low grade crystals.
"If you can point towards the direction in which Luo Ren and his group went, I will be happy to generously compensate you for your troubles"
The mole guard eyes lit up in greed, "They went that way young master!"
Before the mustache man could respond, the monk disappeared into a puff of smoke, vanishing from their view.
At first, the mole guard was frowning in anger, that was until he felt something heavy in his hands.
He hadn''t realized that he was now holding onto one of the low grade crystal, he then turned towards his left and saw that his fellow comrade, the mustached guard was holding onto the other piece.
"Sigh, I wonder what kind of trouble will occur in the city, it seems that Luo Ren has attracted a calamity" The mustache guard said softly as he saw the silhouette of the monk walking calmly barefooted down the hill and into the city. But that wasn''t the calamity his was speaking off because the two guards saw many inner and outer disciples rushing towards their direction.
"That was Jing Bai? He looked different from the rumours" The mole guard said in confusion.
"It should be, his face seems familiar but his aura and mannerism has completely changed. Before, he use to be a wild, unruly troublemaker who loves to cause discord wherever he goes, he also doesn''t even care who he offends. But now, it seems like heaven and hell had flip sides, and Jing Bai had changed his ways, completely shaving his head and begun acting like virtuous monk sage, sigh, I wonder if it''s just an act, but who knows" The mustache guard said while massaging his head in worry.
The two guards had to slowly process everyone''s identity and recorded their names onto a crystal stone to record or the temporary leaves of the day.
Luo Rei and Rock''s name couldn''t be seen on the stone because they weren''t needed.
First of all, Luo Rei isn''t even an official disciple of the sect, but she still has one of the highest authority inside the sect.
Rock is a core disciple and has a core tablet that lets him enter and leave whenever he wants without answering to any higher ups.
Only Luo Ren''s name was recorded quietly after their group left.
"You two, why did you let Luo Ren leave!" The two guards eyes dropped as their legs trembled once they saw an inner disciple with an entourage of dozens of followers following loyally behind his side.
It was Sun Zhong, his face was contorting in anger as his pointed to the two guards with killing intent.
"He...he is an outer dis..ciple and is allowed thre...ee days every month to..to journey out...outside the sect" The mustache guard lips quivered as Sun Zhong stared down at him.
"That is true, but for an outer disciple to use those three days, he must have permission from the higher ups, Luo Ren hasn''t contribute one thing towards the sect, so how would he ever gain the permission to leave?"
"Errr...uh, I, I...I"
"You you you what? You thought you could cut corners just to curry favour with Luo Ren?"
"No I dare not cut corners, it''s just that Luo Rei was there, and her authority is higher than an elder!" The mustache guard forcefully muttered out with all his breath.
"You dare!"
"How dare you talk back to our master!"
"Flay him until he turns into a bloody red ripe tomato!"
The two guards neck shrunk like a turtles neck as they heard the vile harsh words that were filled with deep killing intent, from Sun Zhongs followers.
Every single one of Sun Zhongs followers were all inner disciples, and none of them were weak. Their combine aura made the two guards spine shiver into the depth of their souls.
Cultivators and spies from other powers all watched the from afar, without any hint of of wanting to help the two poor guards.
The two guards were startled as they were confused as to why Sun Zhong would be angry with them as they did what every entrance guard would do. Their hope reignited as soon as they saw a core elder rushing towards them from afar.
"Elder, please help us!" The two guards feared for their life and tried to turn towards the elder for help.
"Where did Luo Ren go? Who let him leave!" The core elder shrieked in a high voice.
At this point, the two guards lost hope, the guard with the mole looked towards the mustache guard with ill intent and deep hatred.
That hatred had suddenly appeared out of the deep corner of his heart, the mole guard thought, ''It was his fault for letting Luo Ren go, he put me in this position, now I might die and it''ll be all his fault!''Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site.
"It was him! He let them go! I wanted to stop Luo Ren and properly take him through the correct procedure, but who knew that Xei Wen Tai would forget his job and let Luo Ren go freely" The mole guard spat out in a half hateful and pleading tone while kowtowing towards the core elder.
"Huuumpft, it this true?" The core elder looked towards the mustache faced guard, whose name was supposedly Xei Wen Tai.
"Ye...yes, I did that bu...but Luo Rei was there, and he...her authority is greater than yo...yours" Xei Wen Tai said while trembling.
"You! How dare you say that! How dare say Luo Rei, who is a whale buffoon, not to mention she''s isn''t even an official member of our sect, is higher than me! Huuumpft, as for everyone here, I have an official sect order tablet from the Vice Sect Leader, Dong Ki, it states that Luo Ren must answer to him personally, if not, he and anyone who stands in the way of this order will face consequences! So don''t you all get any wild ideas, lest you face the wrath of my father! As for these two guards, huuumpft, give them each 100 lashes and strip their ties from the sect, kick them out stark naked after you are done!"
"No sir! Please have mercy!" Both the guards kowtowed while crying tears, but were quickly taken away for punishment, their low grade crystal were taken as they were forcefully stripped for whipping, while the core elder disregarded everyone, and rushed out of the sect.
The core elder thought inwardly, ''Damn, as soon as Luo Han got word of the situation, he forced every older generation expert down onto their knees, unable to make a move these coming days, but luckily my Grandfather sneaked some words to me, so now I have to complete his task or else...'' The core elder was crackling in disdain at the thought of Luo Ren, since Luo Han and the other old monsters were squaring off, he was free to do whatever he wants.
"Damn, this trashy elder, Dong Bei just got a head-start, everyone lets go, we can''t let Luo Ren fall into the hands of the Dong Family" Sun Zhong shouted, and they left the sect.
Actually, almost everyone disregarded the rules and rushed out of the sect, a few powerful core disciples and elders who just got news stopped closed cultivation and rush out of their immortal cave to join in the fun.
It was a free for all, people couldn''t outright break the rules while Luo Han is still the sect leader, but his power and authority had waned, so people were able to cut corners here and there, while they cut down anyone who hinders them in their goal, such as the two unfortunate guards.
Luo Ren while sleeping had both Rock, and Luo Rei protecting him, but that was in the outer sect.
There are loyal sentries posted in every ring of the sect, their strength are the elites of the elites.
They have taken a life and death contract, which meant they are extremely loyal to the death, and if anyone causes immense trouble in the sect, they will be apprehended, or worse, killed on the spot.
The only reason why Rock was able to force people back was because he had the authority of Luo Rei beside him, and he didn''t have killing intent, and he also didn''t injured anyone to the extent of needing medical attention, this is why the sentries didn''t make a move.
But now that the group had left the sect, the loyal sentries, the authority of Luo Rei, all didn''t matter.
With so many cultivators pouring out to scour every inch of the city, how will Luo Ren and co, survive the coming calamity.
None of them predicted that the situation could get this bad, it was basically the start of a civil war.
Who ever wins, their sins are washed cleaned and they make the rules, while the losers grovel at their feet in envy, wishing that they were the ones at the top of the hill.
Currently inside the city...
"We are past the halfway mark, you can do it!" Luo Ren supported his sister on her walk of transformation. The group had traveled a few miles, pass many cultivators and mortals, they all looked at trembling fatty with mocking laughter.
"I can''t move anymore, I''m too hungry" Luo Rei complained as her stomach growled like a starved lion who is stranded on a deserted island.
"Let''s stop, we can use the carriage, don''t push yourself" Rock said slowly.
"No, if I can''t even do this, then where would I put my face!" She yelled bitterly.
"We can rest for a few minutes and eat, but you can only eat healthy food like a salad, eldest sister" Luo Ren said while pulling the breaks on the handlebar and stopping the bicycle from moving.
David discovered that if a rider uses the break manually, then it wouldn''t cost him any energy to use, this is the same with the bell.
But if David himself was to use them, it would cost energy. David then took a quick look at his status, and found himself having more mile points and energy.
| [David Lee] |
Grade: Ordinary |
| Health Points: 82/110 |
Energy Points: 15/110 |
| Mile Points: 9 |
Attack: Ordinary |
| Defence:Grade 1 (Low) |
Speed:Grade 1 (Low) |
''Ok, I can allocate some points to some of my features, but I am really curious to see which one can help advance my attack level from ordinary to Grade 1'' He thought, but just as he was going to allocate a few mile points in a some random features that he hasn''t touched before, he felt something very odd outside his consciousness.
Luo Ren and co took a turn onto the main street.
"Don''t you think it''s been too quiet lately?" Luo Ren said towards Luo Rei and Rock.
''Chirp chirp'' Little man, who was sitting on Luo Ren shoulders vocally agreed, it stood on edge, raising its small but sharp reaper like arms into a defensive position.
"Hmmmm...." Rock finally came to his senses, he was too busy making sure that Luo Rei doesn''t fall and stumble from tiredness to sense his surroundings.
"You are Luo Ren right?" A voice came echoed into their surroundings, that voice bounced from building to building, so none of them sensed the whereabouts of the owner of that voice.
Before anyone could answer, Luo Ren felt a prickly sense on his neck, it was the praying mantis who warning him in advance.
Luo Ren quickly pulled back the handlebar of the bicycle, arched his spine backwards, and raised the front wheel off the ground, he then stood up and hopped his whole body, including the bicycle, backwards.
''Wooooooosh''
Luo Ren had narrowly dodged a poison needle by doing a wheelie hop motion with the ancient spiritual tool.
''Wooooooosh Woooooosh Wooooosh''
Luo Ren hopped on one wheel backwards, then side-wards to the right, then he hopped forward, dodging three more poison needles that were thrown his way.
Luo Ren was grateful for Little Mans danger sense ability, if not, he would had been killed then or there, though he didn''t know what type of poison the needle had.
"What are you waiting for Rock, take out the enemy!" Luo Rei said in a flustered tone.
"Master, I can''t leave your side, their are too many enemies this time, I can only protect you, but not Luo Ren" Rock said in a sadden tone.
"What do you mean, just save us bo...." Before she could finish her sentence, around fifty cultivators came out of hiding, they all stood arrogantly on top of the buildings, staring down at the trio like ants.
"We, the Black Tiger Gang only want Luo Ren. You core disciple of the Divine Relic Sect and that fat pig, stand down, but if you want to throw away your life, the choice is yours to make hehe" A tall shirtless middle age man who had short black hair, with a tattoo''s of a tigers den etched on his back and his body was also very muscular and deeply toned which marks the man as a body cultivating expert.
This was the leader of the Black Tiger Gang, who exuded an aura of a bloody sea with the power of unbridled slaughter, his cultivation feels similar to the same level as Rock, if not, even stronger than Rock.
Chapter 15: The Black Tiger Gang
''Dammit, what the heck is this? An ambush right in the middle of the city, not to mention, right in front of the Divine Relic Sect! Who is crazy enough to do this... do they have a death wish?'' David thought in shock as sweat poured down his imaginary forehead.
''No... to do this, they must have something to rely on or else it''ll just be suicide for them. That means, Luo Ren and co are in a dangerous pickle... sigh, I guess this is it, welp rest in peace former masters, it was nice knowing you guys in my short moment of life, and... wait a minute, since I''m a useless scrap piece of metal, would I be spared?'' David thought shamelessly.
"Luo Rei, Rock, don''t move, I''ll turn myself in" Luo Ren said in a forced tone as sweat pour down his forehead. He could outrun low second tiered cultivators, but not a cultivator at Rocks level.
Rock, and the Black Tiger Gang Leader, were essential around the same strength as Luo Ru, his genius sister, except that they were much older than her, still, these two were way above Luo Rens league.
All Luo Ren wanted to do, was take the spiritual relic for a ride and help it grow stronger, but it seems that fate has other plans for him.
"No, we will both protect you, I won''t allow these bullies to take you!" Luo Rei anxiously yelled, which made all the members of the Black Tiger Gang laugh hysterically.
"Did you hear that? This fatty said that she will protect Luo Ren, look at her pig face, snout piggy nose, and her multiple layers of chins!"
"Hah! Her chin has more layers than a fair maidens flap!" A fat gang member sneered.
"Her face is similar to Luo Ren, is this the rumoured spoilt princess Luo Rei? Should we make a move onto her?"
"Who cares, this fat pigs'' father reign is coming to an end"
"Hohoho, imagine this pig squealing in bed, sigh, the ripe peach sure is large and bountiful hehehe" A skinny pock face cultivator said while rubbing his two hands together.
"What the heck? I rather bed Luo Ren, just look at his face! A city toppling beauty, sigh, but why does he have to be male..."
"I rather bed that core disciple, look at his large muscles, and his large hands and feet, I wonder what else would be large" A shrewd looking old female gang member that looked like a dried skeleton drooled lustfully as she gazed at Rock.
Rock overheard that and vomited inwardly, he sneered at the ugly rotten old woman before inching closer to Luo Rei.
Sensing the surrounding gang member, both Luo Ren and Rock found that there were one 3rd-tier cultivator, fifteen 2nd-tier cultivators, and around thirty 1st-tier cultivator.
"You guys all deserve to die!" Luo Rei muttered as she clenched her hands into a fist, but to the surrounding gang members, this didn''t go unheard, which caused the gang members to looked down at the poor little piggy with mocking smiles, just like vicious hungry wolves before laughing out loud again.
"Little piggy piggy, come out to pla..." Just as one of the gang member was about to taunt Luo Rei, his voice crackled.
Everyone gazed at Luo Rei with insurmountable fear, because in her hands, were paper slips.
"Eh, calm down, why don''t you breathe in a deep voice, you don''t want to do that, do you?" The Gang Leader said in a slow, calm and steady voice, as if he was trying to soothe down a psychotic berserk lioness that''ll do anything to protect her family.
"Huuumpft, it''s too late for regret now, there is a special place in hell that is reserved for your whole gang!" Luo Rei screamed while pouring her weak spiritual energy into the paper slip and pointed it into the direction of the enemy.
"You bitch!" The Gang Leader roared in deep anger.
"Leader help us! aaaaaaaAAAAHHHHHH! It burns!"
''Holy shit! Is that the fabled paper talisman that I have heard about in those stories?'' David eyes popped out as he felt his whole body heat up from the fiery inferno that Luo Rei has unleashed.
A rain of fire hailed out of the torn talisman like a shower of fiery arrows towards the enemy, which killed most of the 1st-tiered gang members heavily.
In numbers, the Black Tiger Gang was cut in half, the Gang leader eye''s almost flew out of his socket, he deeply grieved in regret and anger.
To him, capturing Luo Ren was suppose to be an easy job, but who knew that Luo Rei, a useless fat pig, was carrying something as dangerous as a 3rd Grade Talisman, something that can injure Mortal Dragon/Phoenix cultivators if they''re not careful.
''BOOOOOOOM''
Most of the buildings crumbled and burst into a fiery rubble, but luckily, they were mysteriously uninhibited, so there weren''t any innocent people caught in the crossfire. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it
During the chaos, Luo Ren chose to stay on the bicycle, because he found out that he can use both the movement technique that everyone is seemingly after, and the ancient spiritual relic, at the same time.
Due to David wheel having insufficient speed, the combined speed of both these factors were lesser than what the movement technique would be by itself, but it caused Davids personally speed to bumped up a small notch.
Luo Ren was still fast enough to reach Luo Rei''s side while on the bicycle, the way that he pedaled changed, his legs kicked sharply downwards, while he steadied his body in a weird acrobatic posed.
Luo Rei was no longer riding David while sitting, as he was now pedaling while standing up!
"Why didn''t you let me turn myself in" Luo Ren said with an angry expression, though he wasn''t really angry with his sister, he was just mad that she risked her life to protect him, not that he was ungrateful, he just didn''t want her life to be in any danger because of him.
"Don''t worry, I have more talisman on me, here take these" Luo Rei said while taking more paper slips out of her spatial ring and handed Luo Ren a whole bunch like it was candy.
Luo Ren stared at the talisman in his arms in shock.
Black Devious Beetle Armament, a middle tier third grade armour talisman which coats the user in a protective suit that can take a few hits from cultivators weaker than the middle tier of Mortal Dragon/Phoenix stage for around ten minutes.
Ravenous Chain Bind a top tier second grade binding talisman, it can bind second-tiered cultivators and lower, depending on their strength, for a certain period of time.
Harmonious Lightning Bell a low tier third grade support talisman, the bell can attract all nearby spiritual attacks from attacks that are weaker than the lower level of Mortal Dragon/Phoenix to itself for ten minutes.
Boundless Steam Barrier a low tier third grade barrier talisman can summon a barrier of spiritual steam to protect the user.
Reflective Earth Shield a middle tier third grade barrier talisman is more or so the same as the talisman before, except that it is a level stronger.
He also gained a whole bunch of 1st Grade medical pills that Luo Rei conveniently stashed away for emergencies.
"I know you don''t like attack, so I gave you some of my defensive talisman, quick activate them" Luo Rei said hurriedly.
"My god, these all must be worth more than 500000 low grade spiritual stones..." Luo Ren calculated with a dumbfounded expression.
''Riiiiiiiiiiiip''
Luo Ren activated the Reflective Earth Shield talisman first, covering both him and Luo Rei.
''Stud stud stud stud''
Numerous spells and attack were summoned upon them by the spiteful gang members who suffered a huge lost, but none of them could break the protective earth shield, let alone scratch it with their own strength, though they could whittle it down until through a war of attrition and then kill them once the shield wears off, but that will take too much time.
The only one who could truly break through the Reflective Earth Shield is the gang leader of the Black Tigers.
"Good good good good, I Meng Hao have never been more humiliated until now, you bastards will meet will burn in hell for all eternity, screw capturing you, I am now truly angry!" The gang leader, called Meng Hao, grinding his teeth furiously while holding his hands into a fist.
Rock was dumbfounded, he was stuck in a trance that replayed the actions of Luo Rei, how she activated the talisman without hesitation, her chubby face frowned in anger as she burn her enemies alive.
''This was my master doing?'' Rock though as he saw the burning black corpses turn to ashe, before shaking his head to wake himself up, the first thing he heard was Meng Hao angry rant.
"Not good!" Rock saw Meng Hao''s fist glow white like a sword dipped in magma, his fist emitted a heat like none other, and distorted the space around it.
Rock activated his long range ability as Meng Hao charged towards the protective rocky dome that the two Luo''s were hiding in.
"5 Finger Diamond Point Burst!" Rock held his right wrist with his left hands, then opened his right palm and faced it towards the enemy.
His right hands fingers tips glowed like diamonds, and after a few milliseconds, five sparkling white beams came together into one, and shot towards Meng Hao at the speed of light.
"Tsk tsk, is that all you got?" The gang leader sneered arrogantly as he effortlessly dodged the beam attack.
"You are courting death!" Meng Hao screamed.
Rock was about use the attack again, but found himself locked down by a group of tier 2 cultivators. They threw hundreds of poison needles his way, Rock could easily annihilate them, but if he turns his attention away from Luo Rei, she could die almost instantly from any casual attacks by Meng Hao.
"Black Devil Tiger Form" Meng Hao aura turned black, dark misty clouds evaporated from his body, his tiger tattoos glowed, and his eyes turned green, like a tiger, his muscles inflated, his nails grew sharp, his body hair grew out really long which spotted orange stripes.
Meng Hao transformed into a half tiger half human form that exuded an otherworldly beastly stench.
Rock was getting pinned down at every angle, and he didn''t dare see what would happen if he was to get scratched even once by the poison needles.
"Ten-fold Heavenly Earth Gravity Pull!" Rock yelled as he summoned a huge gravitation pressure upon his enemies, all the needles fell flat to the ground, and the cultivators.
"AHHHH! Help us leader!"
Rock especially focused his gravitation technique onto a certain old skeleton like woman who lusted over his body, he angrily clenched his palm into a fist, and poof, the old lady who was slammed onto the ground, unable to get up as her head exploded like a squashed watermelon.
"Let me out, Rock needs help" Luo Rei was really anxious, she quickly used her own Black Devious Beetle Armament.
Luo Ren didn''t think much through and activated his own.
Underneath the protection of the rocky barrier, both the Luo''s donned a protective armour, their skin fully covered by a black beetle like skeleton, and their head was protected by a rhino beetle helmet.
"Quick, hide the ancient relic in your spatial ring!" Luo Ren urged
''What? I can go inside a spatial ring?'' David thought optimistically, ''Maybe I can avoid dying inside''
"I''m trying but it won''t work..." Luo Rei panicked.
"Damn, I forgot living things can''t enter the spatial ring..." Luo Ren muttered.
"Do you have a beast pouch? Put him inside there"
"Oh?" Luo Rei was confused, but did so anyway.
''Woooooooooooosh''
David was instantly sucked inside Luo Rei''s beast pouch and found himself in a 64m- squared room which had trees, dirt, mud, bushes, a pond, and many pet piggies.
''Oink oink oink oink''
''What the heck? Where am I?" David thought in despair as he felt all the pigs tongue licking him in curiosity.
Boooooooooooom!
David heard a loud booming sound outside the mysterious pet room, it sounded like the rocky barrier that were protecting his two masters, had been utterly destroyed to dust.
Chapter 16: Sect Leader Meeting
Inside the pagoda at the top of the highest peak that the Divine Relic Sect rest on, were a group of old, unsatisfied men and woman, who were impatiently awaiting for the Sect Leader that had called the meeting, to appear before them.
One of these old folk was Dong Ki, who was silently sitting in a corner, meditation with his eyes closed, what he was thinking of, was unknown to the rest of them.
"Sigh, just when things was going to get feisty, we were all called by the Sect Leader, I wonder what is going on in his mind, does he want to hoard Luo Ren all to himself? Last time I heard, not only were those two were on bad terms, even the Luo clan themselves, distance themselves from Luo Ren" An elder said without a hint of fear, as if he wasn''t afraid of Luo Han hearing his disrespectful words.
"Jing Dai, just because you and the Luo Family is connected by marriage, don''t think you can say whatever you want about us, in fact, I never seen your Jing family act on good terms with Luo Ren, didn''t your grandson, Jing Bai threaten his life just the other day?" An ordinary Luo Clan elder said, blatantly slapping Jing Dai face, who just spoke ill of them a minute ago.
"Huuumpft, at least we didn''t pretend he didn''t exist, for the first half of Luo Ren life, no one even knew he existed because Luo Han personally covered up his birth" Jing Dai retorted.
"Sigh, can you all calm down, we are all members of the same sect, so why can''t we all just get along, how about this, I''ll be first to suggest that we should all have a share in the knowledge that Luo Ren have, instead of fighting over it like greedy bandits" An old lady said in a calm soothing voice.
Everyone couldn''t refute that claim, but in their eyes, they disagreed, though they couldn''t disagree in public since that will paint a target on their back.
"Good suggesting, Lady Kuzou Fen Fei, I support this, but I will personally volunteer to have my Dong Family collect him for this purpose" Dong Ki said in a commanding tone as he had withdrawn from his meditation trance.
"Hummpft, Dong Ki, we''re all not as gullible as your son, Dong Bai, and will fall for your tricks, why don''t we have my Kuzou Family bring him in" Lady Kuzoi Fen Fei refuted.
"Enough, we were all called here by the Sect Command Token, and Luo Han wouldn''t do this for nothing, perhaps he already has a plan" An old man said, he had dark black eyes, sharp thick eyebrows, chiseled jaw, who exuded a masculine lumberjack vibe, this was the patriarch of the Xei Clan.
"Xei Sen is right, I did call you all for a reason, as you all heard, my son has deciphered the second level of the Twelve Heavenly Ghost Star Streaking Mantis Steps of the Immortal Gods, my solution is for him to hand over the secret knowledge. This knowledge will then be open to sect disciples, but they must pay official sect points to access and learn it, and before they get their hand onto the technique, they must undergo a life and death heavenly vow as to not spread the technique to other people. I will have my son complete the same vow after he handed it in, but this is not why I called you all here" Luo Han voice echoed in everyone''s ears, though he still wasn''t present in sight, which caused many to frown unsatisfactorily as many of them have high statuses, such as clan leaders or sect elders whose strength were not one to scoff at.
"Are you not going to greet us in person? Old friend?" Dong Ki said in a cold harsh tone.
"Fine..."
Everyone saw a man on the brink of dying of old age, if any normal person saw this man, they would think that he was the oldest of the bunch.
But that''s not the case, Luo Han was in fact only a little after 100 years old, while the rest of the monster are at least older than 400 years old.
The life spans of mortals is around 100 years old.
When mortals cultivate, it isn''t until they reach the realm of Mortal Tiger/Crane that they find a boost in life force energy, which meant that they could live up to 150 years old.
But to reach this realm, isn''t easy, to go beyond level 9 of the Mortal Human/Qi stage is what separates those with talent, and those without.
But this doesn''t mean that talent-less people couldn''t overcome this hurdle, they just need resources. The geniuses of the world can naturally advance from the the 1st tier cultivation realm, to the 2nd. They say that this is the best possible way to advance, but who knows.
For talent-less people, they need to initiate a spiritual ritual, a baptism of some sort. Praying to the gods while gifting some offerings.
The main focus of this ritual is the offerings, to advance from 1st tier cultivation, to 2nd tier, you would need offerings at the level of 2nd Grade.
You need to offer a dead creatures corpse, a spiritual plant, and a relic piece, all must be placed inside the official ritual circle, which is a circle made of spiritual stones.
The reason why Luo Ren hasn''t advance from Mortal Human level 9, and Mortal Qi level 9, is because of this ritual. All three of these offerings, must be at the 2nd Grade, whether it is low, middle, top, peak grade, it all must be withing these scopes.
If the offerings are less than what is needed, the ritual will fail, and any higher, the ritual will backfire and harm the initiator to the point where his life is on the line.
Some say that having a offering consisting of a Peak 2nd Grade creature corpse, plant and relic, can go tow to tow in strength with geniuses who had naturally advance, some say that they are stronger then those geniuses.
But this theory couldn''t be tested, as no one had seen someone advance with this type of offerings. It has been tested, that initiators must gather these three offerings alone, if they had any help from tools or other cultivators , then their ritual would fail. The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Some say that this is because god is unsatisfied with cheating, and only awards those worthy. That means talent-less people would need to go out and kill their own creature, find their own spiritual plant, and relic piece.
This is why the Divine Relic Sect is so popular, and so strong, is because they teach their students the knowledge, and grant them the power, to acquire these offerings.
But it is extremely impossible, for a Level 9 Mortal Human/Qi Cultivator, to jump realms and kill a creature in the peak of the 2nd Grade, but their are sometimes exceptions, there was a legend that one woman, thousands of years ago had all her three sacrifices in the peak of 2nd Grade, but that is a story for another time.
Ordinary Geniuses usually advance with middle 2nd grade sacrifices, and monsters using top grade sacrifices, whereas the majority advances with the bare minimum requirement.
So these initiators would by far, be unable to have a perfect godly ritual, which meant that they advance without the perfect condition.
Advancing with Low 2nd Grade materials, would cause you to be one of the weaker than others of the same grade. The higher the materials, the stronger you will be, and for the ritual circle, you must have 100 low grade spiritual stone, if any less, or any more, the ritual would fail.
For ritual initiators, they must have both of their cultivation pathways already up to the peak of their realm before they can do the ritual, or else it will fail again, this is why talent-less people are gritting their teeth and biding their time, just to cultivator both their body, and their Qi.
This is a problem for Luo Ren, as he dislike violence, so he could never kill spiritual creature of the 2nd Grade, and forever be stuck as a 1st tiered cultivator.
The ritual is the same for people who wants to advance from Mortal Tiger/Crane to the realm above.
They must have materials of those three types, creature corpse, spiritual plant and relic, of the 3rd Grade. They would also need 1000 low grade spiritual stone.
The life span of cultivators in the Mortal Dragon/Phoenix Realm is at 200.
Though 200 years seem like a long time, to cultivators, 200 years is actually really short and it is nearly impossible for cultivators to get to the peak of this realm by the time they are 200 years old.
For Warlords and Warlocks, like these clan leaders or sect elders, they have a lifespan of 500 years, which is what most people envy, and would do anything to get to that stage, including stealing the movement technique that Luo Ren had deciphered.
With a godly movement technique, they would be able to monopolise the entire region, and it would be fairly simple to jump a level, for instance, cultivators who would advance to the next realm with low grade sacrifices, could have a chance at advancing with middle grade sacrifices.
Cultivators would be faster than those of the same realm, and also, everyone had heard of the legends of the first sect leader, and want to become the next god-like immortal who had the entire continent on their knees.
Too bad the Divine Relic Sect had decayed over time, and other sects had surpassed it.
Luo Han, who was on the brink of dying of old age, even in the 4th tier cultivation realm, was extremely weird, but the knowledge of him being cursed is only known to these few upper echelon old monsters that had attended the ''forced'' meeting.
The general folks, unimportant cultivators, even those core disciples, with the exception on Luo Ru, Tao Min, and Rock, had no idea that their great powerful sect leader has been cursed.
A curse so powerful that even the most famous medical practitioners, or voodoo masters, have no idea how to cure something like this.
Perhaps only people from a continent much stronger than their own, would know how to cure and dispel the curse. Some of these leaders would choose to be loyal to Luo Han, and the sect, which meant that the technique knowledge would be shared inside the sect.
But there are some who still harbour greed, and would want nothing but to have that knowledge to themselves, even if it means cutting ties from the sect, and running away to a distant land to avoid danger.
Back to the higher ups meeting...
"I called you all here because I have an announcement. I am going to resign in a few weeks, so you all must prepare for the next sect leader ascension ceremony, you are all considered candidates, since you are all strong enough to hold onto the next seat, which means that the responsibility of looking after both the Sect, and the City will be handed to someone else. My only wish is that you all pull back your forces, including your secret ones, from apprehending Luo Ren. Or else my last act of Sect Leader, would be to annihilate the enemy to the ground"
Some were happy, given the news was that the great Luo Han was stepping down from the position of Sect Leader, which meant that they now had a chance to sit up on the throne.
But some were still not content, and refuse to budge a small step, to call off their forces.
"I wasn''t asking" Luo Hans low voice was filled with killing intent that even the heavens couldn''t contain, it made the rooms temperature drop to the extreme, which cause every man and lady in the room, to freeze chillingly down to the bones.
They were afraid, they had forgotten how powerful Luo Han was, which reminds them of when he was when he was young.
He was a passionate and unrestrained boy, who was able to fight those of higher levels than him, sometimes up to a 5 level difference. He was a genius in every field, and his talent threatened even them, who at the time were still old monsters.
But now that Luo Han had growned, he who was only 100 years old, surpassed these monster who were over 400 years old!
Even Dong Ki, who was extremely arrogant, who was confident in his own abilities, was afraid! That''s how strong Luo Han was right now!
"The ceremony to choose the next sect leader is in a month, you are all dismissed"
Everyone sighed in a breath of relief, as Luo Han lifted his pressure off of them. They each bowed towards Luo Han respectively, while rushing out to their own forces, to pull out from whatever delusional dream that they had plotted under the nose of Luo Han.
........
If possible, David would had been crying collective tears that would somehow eventually form a small lake. He couldn''t move at all and was covered in pig saliva and mud.
There was somehow light inside of the beast pouch, but it never became night.
''Damn, how long are they taking? Are they still alive? Or are they dead? I hope they are alive, but I''ve been inside this filthy pigsty for god knows how long, a day? a week? a month? if I have to stay inside any longer, I think I will go insane'' David groaned inwardly before he started to mutter to himself, once again.
For some reason, the pigs were being fed continuously as they were thrown inside of the beast pouch, but lately, there hasn''t been any food delivery for hours, which meant that the pig feed would soon need to be refilled, if not, who knows what they would do to satiate their hunger?
''Little Pork, stop licking me, I am not a tasty snack!'' David was petrified as the pig named Little Pork kept licking him.
In fact, David had been here so long that he had memorised every pig inside the beast pouch, and named them all. He thought of them as his only friends, since the bicycle system was very cold. It''s voice was robotic and neutral, with no emotions, and it never talked about casual things, only topics related to the Bicycle System.
''Oh, god, I hope they don''t eat me alive...'' David panicked as more piggies began to lick him, but before it could come to that, he felt a pulsing force surrounding his whole body, he was now pulsing like a vibrating metal tool as he was sucked out of the nightmarish beast pouch, and into the outside world.
''Yes! Can we go back to doing that trip that we were suppose to do? Wait, who are you?'' David assumed that it was either Luo Rei, or Luo Ren who pulled him out.
David saw a small boy, who did not even look over 16 years old, staring at him in curiosity.
''Who the f*ck are you? And what happened to Luo Ren and Luo Rei when I was stuck inside that shitty pig hell?''
Chapter 17: New Rider
''Don''t tell me that Luo Ren and Luo Rei had died...'' David choked into small tears at the thought of this.
''Those two were the only one who knew how to use me, now I might never advance in strength and power. Anyway, where am I? And who is this snotty nosed brat?'' David thought shamelessly and was confusion as he inspected his surrounded.
He was in a dark underground cave that was lit up by the blue-green glowing moss painted on the walls. He was inside a giant dome like room where the hard ground earth was shaped into a donut, with a seemingly never ending round pool situated into the middle of the cave.
The water was clear within the first 10 meters, but as you go deeper, the visual and clearness of the water begins to grow black, making it hard for you to see the end of the pool.
Davids'' body was placed in the east, where there were odd things left laying around.
There at the edge of the east side of the dome-shaped cave was a brand new red bookshelf, it had many ancient books placed onto it, such as;
Luo Han 101 Ways to Relic Hunting, (Private Journal)
Basic, Intermediate and Advance understandings of Ancient Relics .
Basic Understandings of Flora and Fauna and Intermediate Understandings of Flora and Fauna.
Guide to hunting Spiritual Beasts.
Beginners Guide to Alchemy.
Basic History of Pills throughout the Millennium.
There was even a book that says, ''the Twelve Heavenly Ghost Star Streaking Mantis Steps of the Immortal Gods''
There were at least 100 books on the shelf, most were combat techniques, but this was not the only thing that was odd.
Before the bookshelf was a bamboo mattress and a fluffy pillow, with a small kitchen on the side made up of ancient tools, like a wok. The only thing that was missing was a toilet.
''Tinkle tinkle tinkle tinkle tinkle''
''What the hell!'' David saw that the kid was peeing into the pool with a happy-go-lucky expression, dirtying the water without a care for the world.
David moved on from that to see if there was any exits, luckily there were two entrances, one north and one south which were human sized, though none of them had lights shining through, so he didn''t know which one lead outside the cave and into the outdoor world.
''Hmm, the brat is coming back... Hey, did you even wash your hands? Wait, don''t wash you hands in the pool!'' David screamed in despair, but in the end, the kid had a strong grip on David, and held him up so that he could stand on his two wheels.
"Why did my mother ask me to ride this shitty iron horse every day, I want to practice martial arts, sigh" The kid complained.
''Hey, your the shitty one, your whole family are shitty horses! Well, except for your mom, wait, who the heck is your mother?'' David thought in anger and confusion at the kids sentence.
The kid found that the ''iron horse'' seat was too high.
''Huuumpft, take that you shorty! Hmmm?''
David felt that his seat was lowering, it turns out that he had a seat adjustment all along, that could make his seat go higher or lower, depending on the riders comfort.
''I didn''t know I could do this?'' David thought in surprise as his seat lowered to the lowest point it could go.
"What shitty brand did this Iron Horse come from, if I was to get one, I would want one of those Black Dragon or Red Tornado type, not this cheap fake knock-off huuumpft!" The kid complained before sitting upon the ancient relic that was mistaken as a cheap knockoff?
''Black Dragon? Red Tornado? There are others like me? Eh cheap knock-off? Your the cheap knock-off brat!'' David was once again, angry and confused at the same time, and it took some time to comprehend what he just heard.
''There are more bicycles?'' He didn''t know how to take this news.

''WHAT THE F*CK IS THIS!''
''Thi...this isn''t possible, how the heck is there another 10/10, God Tier Rider? First it was the fatty, now it is a snotty nosed brat... What''s worse is that he hasn''t even started this cultivation yet, the fatty at least had level one in both pathways, even if it was weak, but he''s worse, this kid is completely mortal!'' David was about to faint due to pure shock, except that he couldn''t even if he wanted to.
"Sigh, this genius was blessed with dog shit luck, why didn''t I get one of those expensive iron-horses, sigh, I shouldn''t complain but... Everyone would laugh at me if I was seen riding this pathetic horse shit!" Dong Xioubei said with an expression of one, feeling hurt and wronged.
''Yo...you! How are you a genius? No matter how much I see, you''re just a mortal civilian who hasn''t even started cultivation, even though you''re 18 years old! And also, how are you so short? Did you not drink milk at all? What about fruit and veggies?'' David was completely speechless, ranting on and on, swearing until his breathe went hoarse, still he couldn''t get his anger across to the brat.If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
A few seconds later, Dong Xioubei was kicking the pedal like he knew what he was doing, and started riding around the dark pool.
"Sigh, the only reason I''m riding this shitty tool is because my mother threatened to force me to drink milk, and eat fruit and veggies every day..."
''The hell?'' David choked on an imaginary cabbage, he had accurately guessed why this kid was so short.
"How can someone drink milk? They come from teets, TEETS!" Dong Xioubei angrily ranted on an on throughout the ride, which gave David a massive headache, that was until David heard an announcement.

+ 1 Rider EXP (Dong Xioubei)
''It''s been one mile already? Hmm, oh and didn''t he say before that he had to do this everyday? Doesn''t that mean I can finally get the ball running and advance in power?'' David thought happily, though he rather have Luo Rei, the fatty ride him than this hateful snotty nose annoying brat.
He then briefly went to check his status.

During his stay inside the hellish beast pouch, he had repaired his wheels to the maximum amount of durability available, but he didn''t do any else, such as spending his remaining mile points because he wanted to save them up in case something happens. But after finding out the news that he will be gaining a steady amount of mile points everyday day, he finally had the courage to start spending MP''s to upgrade his features.
A little more than an hour later, David had gained around 5 more mile points, making him sit on 15 MP''s in total.
''Hmm let''s see, I could try and put 1 points in each of the feature that I haven''t touched before, but I feel like that wouldn''t be good as I should probably advance features that I urgently need'' David thought while imagining his human self sitting on a wooden stool, thinking to himself.
''Let''s see, how about I upgrade my speed in both wheels''
"+2 mile point in Front wheel - Speed 2/2 MP, Speed, upgraded. (Total MP left: 13)"
Front wheel 110% out of 110% Durability - Speed 2/100 MP 0/4
"+2 mile point in Back wheel - Speed 2/2 MP, Speed, upgraded. (Total MP left: 11)"
Back wheel 110% out of 110% Durability - Speed 2/100 MP 0/4
"Eh, how come I feel like I can go a little faster?" Dong Xioubei said with an odd expression.
''I should first make Dong Xioubei actually enjoy his ride, didn''t he say that he wanted an iron horse like Black Dragon or Red Tornado, I should assume that they are bicycles like me, and are pretty fast, so If I make myself faster, shouldn''t it make Dong Xioubei curious? And in turn, ride me for a much longer period of time which would equates to racking up more mile points'' David thought as he didn''t hesitate to spend another 8 more points to upgrade his speed into both wheels again.
"+4 mile point in Front wheel - Speed 4/4 MP, Speed, upgraded. (Total MP left: 7)"
Front wheel 110% out of 110% Durability - Speed 3/100 MP 0/8
"+4 mile point in Back wheel - Speed 4/4 MP, Speed, upgraded. (Total MP left: 3)"
Back wheel 110% out of 110% Durability - Speed 3/100 MP 0/8
"HAHA THAT"S WHAT I''M TALKING ABOUT!" Dong Xioubei screamed as he pedaled to his fullest, zooming around the dome shaped cave to the upmost speed that his mortal body could pedal to.
Though it was far from how fast David could go, with 3 levels in speed for both wheels, he could match the speed of a low leveled tier 1 cultivator.
He guessed that if both of his wheels were to upgrade to level 4, which costed 16 points in total, his speed would go from Grade 1 (Low) to Grade 1 (Middle)
If Luo Ren was here now, he could pull out the maximum speed that David could go, plus go even faster from fusing the second stage of the Twelve Heavenly Ghost Star Streaking Mantis Steps of the Immortal Gods with himself, to go faster than his limit, but that would just burn his wheels out, and kill off durability in his wheels.

Dong Xioubei had tired his legs to the max, before slumping onto the ground, soaking the earth with pools of sweat, before grinning in satisfaction.
"Hehe, once I start cultivation, I could increase the movement speed of the iron horse by permanently increasing my own pedals perminute limit, hummpft, what Black Dragon? What Red Tornado? I''ll beat them all in a race and crush the arrogant smiles of those trashy young masters" Dong Xioubei said while clenching his right and into a fist, and pumping it into the air.
''What? You want to race me like a horse? What the f*ck?'' David was speechless, and regretted putting those mile points into speed.
"Right, Little Man? Huumpft, we will beat all those who spoke ill of Uncle Luo Ren, whether it be racing, be my fist, alchemy, or through other means, I will become the number one cultivator in the whole entire world!" David thought that the name, little man was familiar, but was shocked speechless when he heard that the brats uncle was Luo Ren, and rolled his eyes when he heard that this mortal kid goal was to become number one throughout the whole world...
''Chirp chirp chirp chirp''
A familiar praying mantis came out of the front pocket of Dong Xioubei shirt, as its head bopped out into the open, its large buggy eyes laid onto David, which made him uncomfortable.
''That''s the same bug as before, who the heck is this kid? The Dong family name does sound familiar, but I can''t recall where I heard it from before, wait... whats that noise?'' David heard a loud grunting noise coming from the south entrance.
''Hrrrrg Harrrrgh Grrrrrr Gruuuh''
"Sigh, mother is at it again" Dong Xioubei said while sighing.
''What the f*ck?'' David thought weirdly as the grunting noise resounded loudly inside the cave.

Chapter 18: Humane or Heartless?
What had felt like forever, was just the brief dumbfoundedness of David speechless endeavor in trying to maintain a straight face during the quiet phase of awkwardness between Dong Xioubei and Little Man.
''Hnnnnngh, Ha! Huuuuuu, Blarrrrgh!''
The young mortal teenage face-palmed while the praying mantis hid behind the boys collar, its large black pupil rolled round as sensed something grave, it tiny sword-like arms gripped tightly onto the young mans shirt so that it would not fall onto the ground.
Actually, David had just noticed that the young teenager called Dong Xioubei was copying the exact same style as Luo Ren, with his black shirt and pants, he was donned entirely of mortal clothes in which cultivators disdain.
''What the heck is this kids mother doing down there?'' David thought as millions of theories were displayed in his mind like a security camera outlet.
''HyyyyaaaaaaAAAAHHHHH!!!!''
The woman''s raging scream echoed throughout the cave with such vigor and passion, it felt like she was doing some activity that requires strong energetic force.
''Don''t tell me the woman is doing that?'' David briefly thought of something inappropriate, but he had no more time to imagine as there was an immediate threat occurring right now.
The walls of the dome-shaped cave were vibrating at a high frequency which caused tiny rocky shards to fall down the ceiling, creating a dusty and dangerous environment for all three of them who were still inside the cave.
''Dammit, don''t let those rocks fall onto me kid...'' David shamelessly complained, while Dong Xioubei and Little Man were stuck into the same situation as him.
"Oi Oi Oi Oi, mother calm down! Why do you always do this? Do you want to destroy the secret area? The area that you and uncle had found by luck? And also, this is cave is my only home!" Dong Xioubei screamed in panic while covering his head with both arms, and running around mindlessly as to dodge the falling rocky shards.
''Hey don''t leave me here, brat!'' David screamed as the tremors began to grow out of control, the cave walls shook like thunder, which made the bookcase containing the precious old books almost tilt over, but Dong Xioubei rushed to place everything inside his spatial ring, including all his other roomy items such as his cooking utensils and his bedding''s necessity.
''Plop plop plop plop'' Some rocks had landed inside the mysterious dark pool situated in the middle of the dome-shaped cave, only to fall downwards into the seemingly never-ending dark freezing abyssal waters, never to be seen again.
David had wondered what type of water this pool was made of as it was emitting a deathly cold chilling aura that had rooted deeply into not only his metallic body, but also his soul.
''What if I accidentally fell into that obvious death trap, I can''t exactly swim my way out, and if I sink to the bottom, I''m afraid that I would never be found ever again...'' David thought fearfully.
He was more afraid of falling into the mysterious pool, than being impaled or crushed by a magnitude of rocky shards.
This was only because the latter can give him a swift death, and even if he didn''t die, he could be found by the snotty nosed brat or by somebody else, as he has the means to slowly repair himself back to full health like an ant colony digging its nest, working without rest to achieved their goal.
The former however... The former will give him a fate worse than death, he would be forever locked under a watery prison grave, unable to drown or die, with having his soul stuck in constant battle against the deep chilling aura that can seemingly attack the divine soul.
He would be essential be completely frozen, frozen but still conscious.
This was indeed a fate worse than death ... being frozen will prevent his body to decompose naturally, it will only be served as a curse as his body will be preserved for all of eternity to the end of time.
It wouldn''t be a stretch to say that in this situation, he would be an immortal.
A being that many cultivators wish to become. Some cultivators fight for scraps pieces to just survive, and can only dream of being immortal.
Some cultivators steal, murder, plunder, plot, seduce, betray, massacre, lie to advance towards their one true goal, immortality.
Righteous or Villainous faction, none of that really matters to immortals, these two factions can only lay down the steady foundation of basic tools to advance to immortality.
In fact, for ordinary cultivators, wouldn''t advancing to a higher realm require sacrifices? Brutally hunting down a spiritual beast for power, although they are not human, what is the difference?
David, in his moment of peril in these dangerous times inside the mysterious secret area, thought about what kind of person was he.
At what point does cultivation allow someone to be morally wrong? Unless you only killed evil beings and people who deserved to die. The many spiritual creatures roaming the world are just acting based on their natural instinct. Would it be alright to kill and kill and kill and kill just to advance in power? Would Lucy Lee, David''s sister, approve of this?
If David''s only chance of getting back home was to step upon a mountain of corpses, humans, animals, beast, by killing them to gain the power to do so, then would he still be himself even if he eventually returns back home?
Would Lucy Lee still see him as her kind loving older brother? Or would she see him as a terrifying heartless monster that would do anything, including standing on top of a towering mountain full fallen corpses that he had personally slain to just see her once.
David was currently undergoing a self conscious crisis, deciding and reviewing who he actually was through the momentarily flashes of thought running through his mind. He was slowly forgetting that he was currently at risk at being impaled by jagged rocks.
''Self-reliance, strong, kind, caring, loving, hard-working... but what about righteousness?'' David thought carefully.
Righteousness... can anybody really be truly righteous? The pigs, cows, chicken, spiritual beasts that are eaten as casual meals have a mother, a father and perhaps children''s, do they not?Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author.
''Siiiigh, why am I thinking about this... Nevermind I will see where this is going'' David thought oddly, as if his emotions were entirely different and was out of his control. In this case, as a human, would he actually think about his foods, the pigs, cows, chicken wellbeing, their family, their emotions, their life? Of course not.
Then why was he thinking about this now?
Perhaps it was because he wasn''t human?
Or is it because he spent so long around the pigs inside the beast pouch?
Anyway, spiritual beast that are hunted for resources, hunted for their organs, meat, bones, nuclei crystal, wealth... but are these spiritual creatures intelligent? Do they laugh, cry, fear, feel wrath, feel love, protect their young''s? If they do, than whats different from being an evil villainous scum who pillages humans out of pure evil will, than a cultivator who cuts down a spiritual creatures like they''re cabbages.
David was no longer human, he didn''t know if his mindset changed, but he was now very sympathetic to all intelligent creatures.
He himself had opened his mind, his empathy is not only limited to humans anymore and he didn''t know if this was a good thing or a bad thing.
Empathy is a natural emotion that is completely useless to a cultivator in pursuit of immortality.
To cultivators, it is like a dam forcefully blocking the rushing river currents of energy, needed to get to one side to another. A burden which only sets to restricts one''s empowerment.
David, in his past life, had the courage to save the young bicycle riding woman''s life, but this came with a price, the cruel price paid was the expense of his own life, so wasn''t this an example of a damn blocking force? Efficiently cutting off his the path to the living, the path to power, the path to the top?
Was the only way to the top is to kick everyone else down?
What happened after that one empathetic courageous sudden act of the moment?
''Lucy Lee is left alone... bad, Saved the beauty''s life... good, I myself died... bad''
''Two bads and one good, but what if I speculate... The beauty is assumed to be thankful to me? Thus feeling the responsibility to my little sister who is left all alone in the world. The beauty is rich, she is also very well-known throughout the area as a kindhearted scholar. So, in-conclusion, she can grant my sister a more secured life, a better life, a life better than what would happen if she was to stay under my care'' He thought logically.
''Little sister, I swear that I will somehow find a way to stand beside you again, not only that, I promised that I will try my best to be the same older brother that you knew in your memories, the one that made you laugh and smile, the one that took care of you and fed you, we were each others only family, my only hope is that you live a good life, that you don''t dwell on my death too much, you need to remember to have fun and live life to the fullest, don''t waste that, life is precious, not everyone get''s a second chance like me...'' David choked on his imaginary tears. If Lucy Lee did not lead a happy life, and if the beauty didn''t show empathy and kindness to his sister, then he didn''t know what he would do, perhaps he would do something truly horrific.
David then thought about his current predicament, not that he was afraid of the rocky pillars, he was afraid of something else. Spiritual creatures are one of the three main sacrifice needed to advance in realms.
With one of the other sacrifice being needed, is a relic... And what was David?
He was a very very very rare kind of relic, being a spiritual relic that has a soul, a consciousness, intelligent, he can also grow stronger and advance in grade?
Think about it, to have the ability advance in grade, wouldn''t he be the treasure that any cultivator would kill for? If you needed a 2nd tier sacrificial relic, David can be that, a 3rd tier sacrificial relic? David can also be that, a 4th, 5th, 6th.... and so on sacrificial relic, David can be that.
Which is why he had realized that he needed to keep his identity a secret, or at least try and have his identity known only to a small group of trusted people.
''Can I be considered someone righteous? No!'' David thought in contradiction. Before he died, what was he eating? What had he eaten all his life? Did he care for anyone else other than himself and his sister?
The meat he had eaten, they were slaves, cattle''s locked in cages to feed the every growing endless cycle of hunger, which in turn cultivates an endless cycle of pain, suffering and anger.
They were like Little Pork, who he spent most of his time with inside the beast pouch.
But for some reason, the answer ''no'' felt like a lie. Didn''t David save the beauty riding the bicycle from being crushed into a meaty pulp? If someone like that wasn''t righteous, than who was?
So what is truly being righteous in this world, or any other world in that matter other than pure hypocrisy?
Immortals that had come into being through the so called Righteous faction had done so through endless bloodshed.
''Saint? Goddesses? Sage? Pah! Fake Hypocrites!'' David briefly thought about a few faces, but couldn''t recall them properly, only the vague silhouette of their shady images was etched into his mind.
''I think I''ve been focusing on judging people who were not perfectly righteous too harshly, they are humans, and humans are not perfect, but what about me? I''m not human anymore, and my mindset had changed. This perfection, making all the correct choices, always being morally upright, no unnecessary sinning... I guess this thought is better than being heartless, I guess that I am now someone who is completely humane''
''I''m a bicycle, I don''t need to eat food, I don''t need to kill spiritual beast for wealth, I don''t need to plunder, and although I may have the devour function, I can just devour natural elements such as spiritual crystals. The only thing I need to do is ride, travel though the world as one as free as the soaring clouds'' David thought happily.
His features, his attack, defense, speed, are just all tools to get him to advance faster. His features, the numerous hidden features in his system, are all just tools to aid him in advancement.
But the only thing he truly needs to do is ride endless miles...
He wanted to be as free and pure as the beauty he saved in the last life, who rode her bicycle elegantly with class as the sunshine rays embrace her visage.
An image that will be stuck in his mind for the rest of his life.
David then thought about the other side, the dark heartless side.
Villainous faction are mostly doing crimes out in the open, David didn''t want to think about them too much as dealing with these kind of people is easy, all you need to do was kill them or capture them.
But perhaps with his new mindset, he would rather choose to capture and jail his enemies, rather than to kill, to put life and death in his hand.
Perhaps this way is better? Who knows, but whatever route David ended up taking, he first has to get past the most difficult hurdle, which is to become self-reliance.
To truly become a living being, one that could self peddle his way without a rider to guide him, and become one who chooses his own path.
But for now, he can only rely on his system, and fate.
''Crash crash crash''
The cave shook even heavier, the woman''s moan grew louder, David will was growing weaker and weaker, he then sighed as a huge rocky pillar detached from the ceiling right above himself.
This was until he felt something warm.
''Eh?'' David was confused.
"You... you came for me?''
His emotions warmly surged as he was currently carried by Dong Xioubei towards the north entrance of the dome-shaped cave, his speed was faster than an average mortal human as he hurriedly escaped along with David and Little Man through the dark rocky hallways.
But after a few minutes, David saw light, it was actually light created by the sun!
The three of them made it into the light, and into the outside world.
David found himself amidst a very tall mountain, one as huge as Mount Tai, filled with large trees, and down below, was a large dense forest, filled with the howling of wild beasts.
A couple of miles away, across the vast forest, was a silhouette of a bustling cities outer protective wall.
A familiar mountain peak could be seen afar in the middle of the city, although it was hazy and vague, David knew what this place was.
This was Suuinsong City, where the Divine Relic Sect reign superior above everything else, with supremacy, arrogance and power.
........................
"That was a nice thought, wanting to keep your hands cleans, wanting to peacefully ride for endless miles, but in this world, the strong eat the weak and all childrens start off as innocent and humane, but slowly, they corrupt, and become heartless.
Non human entities are sometimes extremely humane, or extremely heartless.
So I wonder how long it will take for you to get your hands dirty, for you to participate in this game of strong eat weak, instead of becoming a bystander amidst the world." A cold silence voice whispered softly into the wind, but it went unheard, like a silent unseen ripple inside a well.
Chapter 19: Deus Bike Machina
In the midst of the large looming trees, the cold shadows zooms over all life, blocking almost all the suns light from guiding any lost travelers.
A silent breeze howls in the wind like a flock of savage wolves preying on the weak.
The wind travels around the tall trees smoothly and easily like a downwards stream of rushing water.
The wind was not only heartless, but also unbiased as all creatures withing the forest were not spared of the slightly sharp whistling air cutting through everything in its way.
But this is something that is almost completely harmless, other than causing a few wind burns and annoyance, it was not life threatening.
The forest is called the Unfettered Shadow Forest, which is almost three times as big as Suuinsong City, and sits in the south.
Luckily, the mountain that David and co had came out of was just a small ancient historical ceremonial mountain that is deemed worthless, as there is no flat plain to grow or build on, further more, it is a resting place for migrating aerial spiritual creatures.
Due the flock being extremely numerous, being near the mountain during the migration time-period of the year is even dangerous for 3rd tier cultivators.
Another reason, although silly, is that the flock of aerial spiritual creatures leave secretion the size of a large lake every year, which caused an undeniable horrendous stench that could kill a full grown elephant with just a small whiff.
Experts dealing with spiritual creatures poop all come to this mountain to extract the excretions, for all different kinds of uses such as fertilizers, brewing, pill concoction, talisman ink, and other miscellaneous uses. Though these experts have to be extremely careful by temporarily neutralizing their sense of smell so that they dont pass out or worse, die from the overbearing smell of shit.
The poop is harvested after the flock of flying beast had migrated away from the mountain for obvious reasons.
The mountain was fairly close to the city, and the migration period had yet to come, and the devasating wind could only slightly harm mortals.
Still the wind can at the very least, affect long range attacks by shifting the attacks away from the intended target, which is why many weak cultivators or mortal who specializes in long range attacks, avoid coming to this forest all together.
Actually, decimating the entire forest, and killing all creatures should be easy for the super expert laying inside the city, but for thousands of years, it has already been decided that this forest was to be a nurturing ground for the Divine Sect Disciples, as they do many tests and missions situated in this forest for the sole reason of raising fighters and survivalist while weeding out the weak.
Dong Xioubei had led a very sheltered life, living inside that cave for what seemed like an eternity, though he had been outside, he had never been outside without his parents.
"F*ck! run for your life Little Man!" Dong Xioubei was screaming for his life while pedaling to his maximum speed.
''What the f*ck are those! Hurry up, pedal faster you weakling!'' David thought while biting his teeth in fear.
''Cuck cuck cuck cuckl!!!''
There were around three sinister looking spiritual creatures, stalking there juicy prey on their two hind legs like they were looking at a little lost lamb.
Dong Xioubei confidence, arrogant and outgoing visage had disappeared into a puff of smoke. He was now a little plump piggy awaiting on a chopping block with an apple in his mouth, as food for the hunters.
His legs were now trembling as the three hungry creatures follow from behind.
The blazing red eyes, reddish orange and black sharp feathers, sharp razor claws that looked like it could slice open a humans gut in one swipe, shredding the meaty skin, fat, muscles and crushing the organs into a mushy pulp.
Little man was standing on Dong Xioubei''s shoulders, staring at the creatures with its buggish eyes, and threatening them with its killing intent while it waved it sharp reaper-like arms around.
''Stupid bug, look what you just did!'' David complained inwardly.
''Cock-a-doodle-doo!''
The three spiritual creatures were outrage that a mere bug dare to look down on them in contempt, their eyes turned sinister and reddish, like the blood moon hanging up in the night sky, shining bloody murderous intent onto a deadly battlefield filled with millions of corpses.
Their feathers began to sparkle, like a noble aged royal king that sparked a generation of booming success, won countless wars, and is loved by his subjects by peasants and knights alike.
Their feathers had made them seem like kings, looking down on all his subjects, one that rule over a vast kingdom with mighty strength.
And what was donned on top of their heads were golden crowns!
Crowns made from flesh and blood as it was part of their very beings, like how a monkey has a tail, these cocks had a crown on the tip of their heads!Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
The claws had turned pitch black, like a black hole that could destroy anything sent it''s way, a single swipe could eradicate a whole cavalry. It grew longer and sharper, same as their bloody beak, which sent shivers rolling down Dong Xioubei and David''s spine.
"Dammit, these roosters are not just bloodhound roosters, they are royal bloodhound rooters! Furthermore, there are three of them!" Dong Xioubei yelled out in despair because he knew that he was screwed, and would become lunch for the vicious murderous flock of cocks.
................................................
One day earlier....
Ahuman, an insect and a bicycle had traveled out of a secret well hidden cave entrance.
David saw that they came out from a steep smooth cliff, that needed you to climb from tree to tree to advance higher in the mountains until you find a steady foothold, because the rocky walls at the lower ground were steep and vertically inclined which made it difficult to climb.
Dong Xioubei had camped up onto the cliff hole, before muttering to himself.
"Mother said that I am an adult now, and that I can finally join the Divine Relic Sect and start cultivation. Little Man, we are currently both mortals, but hopefully not for long as I will try and help you gain spiritual strength as there should be some miracle godly pill or some heavenly liquid that could help change your mortal physique. But although your situation is very helpless, I thank you Little Man for accompanying me up to this point and helping me train, but now, I think I''m ready to officially start my journey!"
''Chirp chirp chirp'' Little Man happily replied back in a ecstatic manner, he too was excited to start a journey, so that he might one day stumble upon a miracle to change it''s fate.
But little did they know, perhaps they had already stumbled onto a miracle right at the very beginning of their journey.
Dong Xioubei in a split second notice had carelessly jumped down as if he had a death-wish with Little Man on his shoulders, and David strapped onto his back, the strap was just quickly created using a leather belt that was used to hold up Dong Xioubei''s pants.
The reason for doing so is because Dong Xioubei forgot to bring the beast pouch.
"I don''t know why this shitty iron horse can''t be placed inside my spatial ring, huuuumpft, what a drag, I should have left you inside that cave but it seems that this iron-horse is something my mother had personally bought for me, anyway, why did she have to buy one at a second hand run-down store when we are not even doing bad in regarding to money..." Dong Xioubei complained.
David had now advance from shitty iron horse, to semi-shitty iron horse, but that didn''t make him feel good, but at least upgrading his speed had a positive affect in placing himself at a higher pedestal in Dong Xioubei''s mind.
Still, David did curse relentlessly after that statement and at first, he was too busy screaming his lungs out as he was falling down from the middle of the tall mountain. Feeling regretful as he saw the earth bottom at half a mile down.
He was cursing the young fool for bringing him down to die with him, but then, moments later he was shocked.
Dong Xioubei had kicked off the rocky wall after he had fallen around a dozen meters, and jumped onto a tree.
This was literally a feat that no mortal could achieve, and although it was simple, something that young cultivators could do after training, Dong Xioubei was a full fledged mortal without a hint of cultivation.
But while Dong Xioubei was hugging tightly onto a tall tree, something unexpected had happened.
''You dumbass!'' David screamed in horror as he felt his body grow weightless and light, his heavy metallic body felt soft an feathery as if he was falling from the heavens with grace.
Dong Xioubei belt strap had grown extremely loose, causing David to slip out, and fall to his doom.
''This... doesn''t this situation feel similar?'' David briefly thought as he was now facing the hard earthly ground numerous hundreds of meters away, which could instantly kill any mortal beings including David himself.
"Dammit, my belt!" Dong Xioubei cried after he found out that his belt fell alongside the iron horse, he was worried that his only belt would be lost amongst the trees, because he didn''t have any other belt, although he did have a few set of clothes in his spatial ring, he felt that he didn''t need to waste any money on buying more than one belt as it can be reused many times.
David mood turned for the worst, if he could spank this brat hundreds of times, he would do it in a heartbeat, but currently he was facing a situation much worse than the one he had above the Divine Towering Steps.
''Snap''
He hit a tree branch and had a face full of sticks and leaves stuck in-between his body.

Davids body bounced off of many thick branches, and although the obstacles were causing him to lose health points, they were essentially saving him from instant death as the branches were slowing down his fall.
''Fuck this world''

David fell a few hundreds of meters and into a bush, but miraculously survived in a moderate condition.
He was extremely lucky that he did not suffer any massive damage as he was still able to be ridden, except that it had cause him to look down more unfavorably to Dong Xioubei.
''Damn you, at least Luo Ren had solved his disaster by himself, but you, you''re are a shitty second-hand version of him!''
Laying on the ground with light injuries, he waited for a few hours in the dark cold gloomy earth near some sharp spade shaped dark green bushes, and some few wandering ants and beetles that seem harmless, though the variations of these insects were one that he had never seen before.
Glowing pink ants with nine legs, rhino bugs as clear and sparkling as an opal gem, a purple dragonfly with seven sets of wings and sapphire blue eyes.
"Dammit I couldn''t find my belt..." David heard Dong Xioubei voice complain, which meant that he was finally nearby.
''Hah, shame on you! Huuumpft!'' David snorted.
"Let''s get out of this shitty forest, it should only take around half a day, but with this iron horse, maybe we will get to the city faster" Dong Xioubei muttered before standing David on his two wheels, and began to ride to his destination.
In present time... It has already been a few hours after the fall, but Dong Xioubei and co were fleeing for their lives.
................................................
''Cock-a-doodle-doo!''
The three royal cocks were closing in on the group, furiously flapping their small wings and cawing out angrily.
Their chicken legs moved like quickly like a spotted leopard and had easily caught up to the young man.
Suddenly, David felt a bump in his front wheel, he had crashed into a small stump in the ground, which in turn, caused Dong Xioubei to fly up into the air, and crash stomach first onto the ground with dirt in his mouth.

David tilted over as he no longer had a rider on him, but sighed in relief as the three reddish black royal bloodhound roosters ignored him.
Two bright white plump moons could be seen, Dong Xioubei pants had fallen down to his ankle, he was groaning in pain as he was laying face-first onto the ground.
''Caw caw caw'' The biggest cock had strutted to the front, extending its head highly as it faced the twin moons.
The other two smaller cocks wimped away, as the bigger cock had claimed his prey.
Slowly, the big raging madcock inched closer and closer to Dong Xioubei''s behind, causing the young mans eyes to pop out wide in horror.
"You... you get back or else I''ll cut off your head!" Dong Xioubei screamed as he crawled pathetically on all four limbs with his buttocks still bare in the presence of the big black cock.
Chapter 20: Fiercely Fighting off the Big Black Roosters!
The big black cock glared furiously at the young man''s bare buttocks.
Dong Xioubei was scared stiffness as he was just an ordinary mortal without cultivation, and deduced that these royal bloodhound roosters were spiritual beasts with strengths near the peak of 1st Grade.
It would be entirely impossible for him to fight his way out, and although he was forced to study many topics since he was young, in fact, he had a whole library worth of rare knowledge that no normal person can come into contact with inside his spatial ring.
He had near to none fighting experience in his belt, which meant that this is his first real contact with wild spiritual beasts that is hungry for his flesh.
His mind raced wildly, trying to piece together some facts that would help in this situation, unfortunately, his mind went blank when the big black cock decided inched closer and closer to his white shiny nether-region area, his sacred well...
Suddenly the wind blew strong through the vast endless forest, causing the trees and leaves to waver, it was as if there was a hoard of ghosts were marching onwards to war, the atmosphere was very chilling.
This is a core feature of the forest, the powerful wind that prevents long-range attacks from being effectiveunless the strength of the attack is strong enough to ignore the effects of wind.
This caused the feathers of the roostersto be ruffled, making their movements stutter, but all this had done was slow down their advancement by a step.
David did not want this new rider to die just like this, not when he is guaranteed more mile points that are essential to upgrading himself, even if this new rider is an annoying little shit.
So he decided to risk himself in order to delay Dong Xioubei inevitable doom.
''Ding''
- 1 energy (Ring Bell Function - 109/110 energy)
The big black cock twitched, its ears trembled. Not only it, but the two small cocks behind the bigger one also stopped their movement.
They all paused and turned around to face the weird metal tool on the ground.
''Dammit, what is this feeling... It''s like my stomach wants to cave in'' David trembled as three black cocks arched their long firm necks, and turned their heads towards him.
To the outside, the bell was like a clear douse of fresh ice that cooled down troubling waters.
The roosters tilted their head in confusion as they turned their body completely to see what the dinging sound was, just in caseit was a third party watching over them.
''A chance!'' Dong Xioubei thought, he didn''t think that the iron horse ringing its bell on its own was weird, he just thought that the ringing was caused by the howling wind.
Dong Xioubei stood up as the royal roosters turned their backs onto him, now the situation has been overturned.Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
A white cock was staring down ruthlessly at the big black bare buttocks of the royal bloodhound rooters.
Dong Xioubei felt something was wrong, his lower part felt chillingly cold. He blushed as he remembered that his pants had fallen down to his ankles and his belt was lost, so without a belt, there was no point in keeping the pants on since it won''t hold and will become a burden.
He decided to place it inside his spatial ring.
''The spatial ring...''
''That right, how could I forget!'' Dong Xioubei felt really dumb, he had forgotten that he had a life-saving tool in his spatial ring.
Actually, from what David had gathered, Dong Xioubei was supposed to be escorted by his mother to the Divine Relic Sect because this forest was too dangerous for a mortal to wonder about.
Remember, this forest is called the Unfettered Shadow Forest which sits in the south of Suuinsong City. What also sits in the south was the infamous Dark Side in which Luo Han, the father of the triplets, was on the brink of death. But the Dark Side is still millions of miles away from this forest.
The Unfettered Shadow Forest is used as a testing and hunting ground for the disciples of the Divine Relic Sect. In a weeks time, Divine Relic Sect will be welcoming new disciples, but only for those that pass their test, and that test would be held in this forest.
Dong Xioubei didn''t know why his mother didn''t allow him to cultivate yet, but he had a guess...
Still, he felt a small hint of resentment to his mother, but his appreciation forhis mother had completely squashed that small resentment due to her being family, due to his study and the books he was gifted.
Because of this, he now had knowledge built in his head that not even tier 3 cultivators have.
"Hey, you abnormal big black cocks, why don''t you pick on someone your own size!" Dong Xioubei screamed.
"Why don''t you pick on someone your own size, your own size, your own size..." This sentence was echoing throughout the forest.
The three royal bloodhound roosters stopped and turned around once again.
David felt the awkward tension between the two parties, especially in Dong Xioubei, who was staring at the big black cock while looking down at his lower region, his eyes flickered in rage as he was unconsciously comparing sizes.
"You... you, just cause you are bigger than me you think Iam easily bullied!" Dong Xioubei yelled with all his might.
The big black cock felt a headache as the young man before him, started shouting slur-words fiercely.
David was all too familiar with this and wanted to spank the young man for his impudent words. But Dong Xioubei felt that it wasn''t gaining any results, so he switched up his style.
"I''m hungry for some fucking chicken drumstick, oi oi oi, look what we have here, three little-lost chickens? How lucky, I was just wondering where I might find some food" Dong Xioubei taunted while rubbing his belly.
Cock-a-doodle-doooooooo!!!
The three royal bloodhound roosters were enraged. They were treated as food...food! Weren''t they the one who was going to eat this human? Since when was it the other way around.
But what was the most insulting thing of all is that they were called chickens.
Chickens? They were roosters, not to mention royals! Even thoughthey are noble creatures, there were treated as and reduced to lowly chickens.
The three black cocks, head grew veiny, red and blue veins appeared all over their body.
They were completely furious. But all this went accordingly to Dong Xioubei''s plan.
He waiting for the right moment before arching his right leg.
''This is it!'' David thought, he felt a similarity between Dong Xioubei and Luo Ren, which was weird.
One was actually likable, had a peerless visage, and was a genius in the field of movement techniques, the otherwas like a pile a dung that was left laying on a field of flowers.
''Will I see ''that'' move again?'' David thought, but then, something happened...
Whoooooooosh!
Red hot fiery flames shot out like a water fountainfrom inside the three roosters beaks, their eyes turned crimson red as they were extremely furious.
The flames shot out too fast andhad quickly reached Dong Xioubei person.
The flames had blocked Davids view, so what he couldn''t see was Dong Xioubei''s disdainful smile as he took out a paper slip.
