《When LitRPG Destroys Earth》
Prologue
In the blinding light of the summer, the river was like a semi-molten mirror. Anyone could feel its coolness even before they flicked it with their hand, sending droplets scattered over the surface like rain. But as for Kamiya Nashi, here he was, lazily strolling around the town and stopped for a moment because he felt the heat from the baseball match. There was nothing special about the match, it was your ordinary friendly match.
(It''s almost that time huh.)
Patiently he stared at the number 13, the pitcher more precise the closer. As his breaking ball failed to trick his foe, resulted with the sound of metal bat echoing throughout the field and the ball was flying right into his direction, hit the asphalt, bounced a few times before it completely stopped right in front of his leg.
(A homerun..) He thought while staring at the ball.
"Sorry! Can you get it for us?" Said the number 13. Waving his hands, asking for Nashi to throw it back to them.
Though he could feel the other glares, a sharp glare; sharp enough to pierce his skin.
After a slight hesitation, he grabbed the ball, wondered whether or not he could throw it like before. He kept the ball near to his chest, raising his leg, and letting his trained wrist and fingers to do the rest of the job. As he swung my arm, firing it back to the number 13 glove.
When the ball made a contact with number 13 gloves it created a sound. BAK! from the sound alone anyone could feel the pain when they watched the impact was enough to make the number 13 right hand slightly bounced back.
The number 13 face clearly shows that he felt a little pain, but while the freshmen awed in amazement, looking at him with their stary eyes. That wasn''t the case for the seniors, as they were showing displeased look on their faces. "Th...that is amazing!!! Hey! you!! can you teach me how to throw that way?!" The number 13 shouted.
Though, seemingly their new captain, Nakamura, scorned him because of the number 13 action.
Sighing, he could only wonder what would happen if he didn''t screw up. As the high schooler taking a white and red box from his pocket, he took a piece of cigarette and began to light it up. Letting the poisonous smoke to seep into his lungs.
Wondering about what he should do for the rest of his day, Nashi continued strolling around, without any real destination until he remembered about something he found in the morning.
He walked, and walked, and walked until he saw a bridge. By the time he arrived, supposedly there should be only a kitten, and yes, the kitten still sat on her cardboard box but someone else already occupied his spot. A red-haired girl, wearing a familiar green uniform. Squatting down, low enough to make her red scarf touched the ground. On her side, there was a big plastic bag full of trinkets and in her front, a cardboard milk was opened.
"Heey~ kitty~ why don''t you drink it?" She said, shoving a bowl full of milk into the kitten''s face.
The girl was completely unaware of Nashi''s presence. Patiently he leaned against the wall, waiting for the girl to be gone.
As he lighted another piece of cigarette, the smoke and the smell finally made her turned her head. Her first reaction was a big gasp, her mouth opened wide like she was seeing a ghost right now.
"Move." Said Nashi.
"Ah! Sorry!!" The girl stood and walked a few steps before stopped and curiously looking at Nashi from the side.
This time, he replaced her position and sat in front of the kitten, as his hand touched the bowl, he could feel the milk warmness, not too hot or not too cold, a perfect warmness if he must say. But, as he raised the bowl and threw the milk away. Seeing this the girl showed a displeased look and muttered in a small voice.
As Nashi was pouring down the milk that he had prepared. And without hesitation, the cat sipping the milk even though he still pouring it down.
"Ehh~ How do you do it? how?!" Said the girl.
"..." Ignoring her, Nashi carefully wiped the cat while trying to not blow the smoke right into its face.
"Hey~ are you ignoring me? hello~ Earth to Kamiya~" Once again she spoke but much to his surprise, the girl seemed to know him or at least she knew his name.
"Ah! Are you forget about me? It''s me! Akiyama~ Akiyama Akane. Ring any bell?we were in the same class in the first grade. 1-E right?" She walked forward, grinning while pointing her own face.
"..."
"Ergh!! How cold~ C''mon, there''s no way you forget, it''s only a year. Um... Ah! Then how about that time when you lent me your book?" She said, walking closer and now was squatting down next to him.
"..."
"Urgh... fine... then how about... the girl that got the last position in a marathon? remember?"
Vaguely, he did remember about a girl that made the whole school waited for almost an hour before she reached the finish line. "Yes." Nashi replied without even looking at her.
"Yup! that was me! I am the girl!" She said with a smug face. Nodding a few timeswhile Nashi wondered why would she bragged about something like that.
"By the way~" Akane spoke, raising her hands and forcefully took Nashi''s cigarette from his mouth. "This is bad for your health, do you know that? ... In fact!! Aren''t you too young for smoking?!" She continued her sentence, her loud voice was enough to finally bother Nashi.
Inwardly he sighed and replied her word with his glare, which caused her arms to make a cross as her defensive reflex. But Nashi only gave her a look, an annoyed look to be precise. "Get lost." He said.
Speaking with the people from his old school from his old school was annoying, especially with the rowdy type.
"Why would I? This is a public area~" Said Akane.
She looked at him curiously and blurted a few things out, some he could remember some he didn''t. "By the way, where are you going right now?"
Nashi chose to remain silent. Though no matter what, she kept talking until a vein began to throb on his temple. "What do you want?" Nashi replied as he was grabbing the kitten and putting her into his lap.
"Geez~ I just wanted to talk." Sitting next to him, she hummed a commercial song from the kid show and it didn''t take long for her to open her mouth again. "By the way! There''s a school festival this week, do you wanna come? I have a spare tic-"
"No." Nashi replied, completely uninterested with her offer.
"Eeh~ Even though I haven''t finished my sentence. Anyway~ Can I have your contact? LINE maybe? or e-mail?" She asked, from completely out of nowhere.
After waiting for some time and didn''t get any response, Akane finally stood up, sticking her tongue out and left though after a few steps Nashi called out to her.
"Wait..."
She stopped, hearing his words her lips curled up into a big grin and she turned around. "What~? Are you already regretting your decision~? Too bad *Bwek* That was a one time offer."
Sighing, without saying a single word Nashi pointed to the plastic bag and the bowl.
Slowly her face and ears turned red, she walked forward with her head kept looking to the ground, taking the plastic bag and the bowl. "...Erm.." Though, rather than leaving she only stood there for a few seconds, just looking straight right into his face. "*Ahem* I guess asa present I''ll give you my contact."
"Just leave." Immediately he regretted his decision for calling her back.
But this time, rather than leaving Akane once again sat right next to him. "...You sure you don''t want it?"The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
Finally having enough, he put the kitten back into her box and left. albeit it was annoying for him to search another spot but continually interacting with her would make him went mad.
"Where are you going?! you forget about the kitten~!" She shouted, standing up and trying to catch him down.
As soon as she catching up, she grabbed Nashi''s black uniform and pulling it back as she was coughing, trying to catch her breath. "*Cough* ...geez~ the kitten... you forget about her. Ah! And I forget about my bag!!"
"I''m not taking her." Said Nashi, grabbing her wrist and forcefully pushed her hand from his uniform.
"You don''t? then... can I take her in? ah~ but I don''t know how to raise a cat." After Akane finished her sentence, she followed it by a deep sigh as her shoulders dropped down. In secret she opened her eyes, trying to take a peek at Nashi''s reaction... and he just walked away.
"Haaah... even she didn''t want to drink the milk I gave to her." She said, and for the last time with the loud voice. "Haaaaah... if only there is someone that can teach me how to raise a cat."
But much to her surprise, Nashi only walked, didn''t even look back or stop for a moment. This time thoughrather than hearing another word, he heard something was falling to the ground followed by a total silence.
"..." As Nashi turned his head, the first thing that entered his sight of vision was a red-haired girl, holding her chest while panting in pain and without hesitation, he left the girl.
".........You aren''t going to help me!?" Said Akane, she immediately ran toward Nashi, clenching his uniform and pulling it back. "What would happen if that was a real thing?!" She shouted.
Astonished, speechless, annoyed. There were so many words that could describe his feeling right now, inside of his mind even though something did really happen to her, there was nothing he could do. The best action that he could take was searching for another person that could be helpful.
"Oi, let me go." He said as he trying to open her palm from his uniform.
Her mouth made a firm line as Akane tried her best to keep her clenching. "Ergh! Not... Until... You... Give... Me... Your... Contact!!!"
(...What did she eat to become this stubborn?!) Nashi thought and after a while, he stopped forcibly opening her clench. Scratching his head in annoyance, he took a deep sigh and finally gave her his contact. "...Now just leave."
As she made a big grin when she took a look at her phone, she went to grab the cat and her bag, but once again before she left for real, she stopped and turned. "By the way~ Kamiya~ I don''t think what you did is wrong!" She said with a satisfying smile before continuing her way again.
"...Say that to the cop and the teacher." Said Nashi as he lay down, feeling the warmth of the sunlight as he slowly dozed off, somehow feeling tired from all of that interaction and yet he couldn''t fall asleep.
Why? Not even five minutes had passed and yet Akane already spamming Nashi''s phone with messages.
[I forget to give you the ticket!?? ]
[Are you free tomorrow? Let''s meet in the same place! ??]
[By the way which one is the best name? Kuro or Kokuyo? ?????]
[Hello~ Are you ignoring me?! ??]
[I know you already read my message! ??]
Another deep sigh came from Nashi as he turned his phone off. The mood for sleeping was gone, and unsure of what he should do suddenly he remembered that there was a new machine on the nearest pachinko parlour.Strangely, not even 10 minutes passed since he strolled down at the street and yet here he was, getting dragged into an alley and surrounded by five adults, all wearing flower motives shirt and black glass.
"Brat, do you know whose brother you put in the hospital!?" Said the blue flower man.
Without thinking about anything too much, Nashi swung his fist.
****
In a room that should be empty but it wasn''t. A young mansat on his bed, compressing his purple right eye with an ice pack as he repeatedly bounced a ball to the wall. He took off his black uniform, feeling tired, annoyed, bored and slowly lay down on the top of his bed.
He wasn''t aware of how much time had passed when he slept but by the time he awoke the sky already dark. As he stretched his body, he looked into the mirror and saw the swollen on his right eyes had deflated.
And then a light knocks came from the outside of his door. "Nii-chan~ dinner is ready."
"...Coming."
Instead of changing his shirt he instantly walked to the first floor and greeted by his no-expression father, always smiling mother, and two little sister, one was in her last year in Junior high and one was still in the kindergarten. "Oh my, what happens to your eye?" Asked his mother.
Ignoring his mother, he walked forward and took a seat. Silently eating his dinner without saying a single word. "Nashi, answer your mother." Said his father.
"...Self-defence."
His father frowned, turning to him. "This is like the fifth time on this month, why don''t you do another activity? let''s say... wanna come fishing with me next Sunday?"
"Notinterested." Nashi answered as he pouring the soy sauce into his soup.
"Then how about camping? we can go with Yuzu next Saturday, ah, can you pass me the soy sauce?" Yuzu, the youngest sister eyes were practically sparkling when she heard about this.
As for Nashi, instead ofpassing the sauce right into his father hand or pouring it down. He just put it down on the table and slowly shoved it to his father direction. "Nashi... your father is talking to you." Said his mother.
"I''m full." He replied, not taking more than a couple bite before he put his chopstick down and walked away.
"Nashi, where do you think you''re going?"
He walked to the stair, hearing the voice of his father from the dining room, that was what how they were having their dinner in the last one year, though for today as he his leg reached the stair. A sudden headache pierced his head, followed by several floating screens.

Mini-Map Lvl 1: Shows an image of 25-meter radius of your surrounding area.
At first, he didn''t move, his brain unable to make sense of those floating screen and the seemingly weird map like thing that appeared in the top right corner of his vision. And then the next thing that he knew the ground was shaking and thethunderous voices came from the outside.
The walls cracked, the glasses shattered, the lights flickered then a flash of light came from the dining room. Soon there was a choir of screams echoed in his neighbourhood. From among all of this confusion, he dashed back to the dining room in reflex, unsure of what he should do.
By the time he arrived, words left his mouth. He stared into those black hairs bathing in blood and his heartfell silent. But he couldn¡¯t will his lips to move. As if stuck underwater, everything was slow and warbled as he pointed a shaky finger.
"W...w...what happened?!!"Another shout echoed into their neighbourhood as he saw a hole was created inthe supposedly his mother face.
Chapter 1
Nashi''s mind was blank and his eyes wide opened when he stared at his mother in horror. His eyes desperately searched for something... her face... a perfect hole created on her face. He had to say something. He searched his mind for any reason to comprehend what was going on, but brain.exe had stopped working. And to his surprise, his father answered his silent question. "Nashi!! Go get the emergency bag!"
His father shouted with his thick old phone plastered on his ear. Sweat fell from his forehead, his hand was trembling but no matter what he must act tough.
When was he grabbed his phone or what he did before didn''t enter Nashi''s train of thought, how much times had passed? 10 seconds? a minute? but Father''s shout was enough to snap him back to the reality. "Ah.. Y..yes!!"
Nashi staggeringly stood and weakly lifted his wobbly feet, left then right and left again. And yet, no matter how many steps he had taken, he couldn''t reach the storage door that kept their emergency bag. Frowned, he repeatedly hit his thigh with all of his might until the pain, the shock and the bruise were enough to stop his leg trembling.
When he reached the storage door, so far as he knew; opening the door was a simple task and yet his brain was trying its best to formulate the secret of turning the doorknob. He stopped, then drew a deep breath as he looked to his feet before glancing back up to the door and using the raw strength to open it.
The backpack was a fat navy blue of the water-resistant polymers. The straps were functional to a basic degree, no advanced fashion or anything like that. Nashi pulled a strap to feel the weight and inwardly groaned. It was far heavier than it ought to be.
When he grabbed all of the bags what followed was a siren lacerated the air like a butcher''s cleaver in the meat shop. He remembered of hearing this type of siren before. It was in the old movie, signalling the bombers were coming and it was time to get below ground.
"Are you done?!" His father shouted. He hugged the youngest daughter, Yuzu on his arms. While the second child, Ume followed from the behind as she brought a box of first aid kit on her arms.
Leaving all of their belonging, they ran to the car. The door was unlocked and another scream echoed in the distance, the streets that once overflowed with emptiness at this hour now was full of life, no... more likely death.
The marble wall in front of their neighbour house was now riddled with holes. Several buildings in their neighbourhood that were so beautiful and beloved now was nothing more than a ragged mountain of rubbles.
As they entered the main street they halted as suddenly as if the car tires were bound by ropes. Dust swirled in theearly night airas they were looking a large, green creature which resembles a grossly misshapen bird withfour wings pulled a man to the air.
And weirdly enough, by the time Nashi took a great look on the unrecognizable creature, he could see a number and letters floated near on its head.
Lvl 31 Moss Flyer.
While he watched Moss Flyer flew away, he also realized the red blinking dot moving away in the same direction as the Moss Flyer.
The next things Nashi noticed was the noise. The shouts were jarring, and he could hear explosions from several directions around him. After that was the sound ofgun fires and the roars of beasts. Then he felt the heat, and he gazed to find the buildingsaround them were consumed by flames.
And his father suddenly hit the breaks, creating a squeaking sound and they lurched forward as the car lost its momentum. His mouth formed a grim line as he looked around.
"....The hell...." Said Nashi by the time he realized the road was blocked by the sea of sand. And not only that, they were in the main street right now, and yet there were too little building that surrounded them.
(Are they destroyed?)
(Where is the pachinko?)
(Isn''t that the bookstore in front of our house?!)
(...Wait, so whose house is back there?!)
Things that still sitting on their original place, things that were supposed to be here, things that weren''t supposed to be here, things that he never saw before. That was what the things he realized and recognized as their father turned the car, searching for another way to...
"...Dad, where are we going?" Nashi asked, already too tired from all of these things that happened.
"Bunker."
His father answered with only one word. He wanted to ask more, (Where is the bunker?) (What bunker?) (What happened?) (Why are we going to the bunker?) but he just couldn''t bear himself to ask those questions. Even a total stranger could tell his father didn''t exactly know about whether or not his decision was a correct one.
And after they spent some time wandering around the town, they found thousands of cars flooded down the street the same way water flooded down the river. The mood of the people swirled in unseen currents beneath the dark surface of their car''s glasses.
But there was something magical about being one with the crowd. They acted the same, cheered at the same moment, felt the same emotions. What Nashi read on their faces was written on his as he saw hundreds of armed man, lining up and making a barricade to make sure of their safety.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Still, something had been bothered his mind when they were stuck between those seas of cars. Some people started from the front and slowlywent to the back, one by one abandoning their cars and ran to the opposite direction.
Why?
He frowned as he saw a grandpa, looking afraid and running while pulling the seemingly confused granny and a toddler.
Followed by a couple, once again the woman was pale as a ghost when she ran away with her boyfriend.
Then three man, all differ in age, running while banging every car windows they could bang. Shouting at every person they could see.
"Too many red!! Run!!" Said the bald middle-aged man as his spits rain to Nashi car''s window.
Red?
"Run if you don''t want to die!!!" Said the other person, seemingly a college student.
.....
Suddenly all he remembered was the blinking red dot from Moss Flyer, a sudden realization turned his face blue when saw several others people had the same look like his.
As he opened the lock, tried to argue with his father without listening to his reason, thecar in front of theirs suddenlydrove backwards. Bumped into the headlamps of their car, making their head wobbled as iftheir head was loosely attached to their neck.
"Just listen to me for one time for god sake!!!" Nashi shouted, spits flying out to his father face as his father nodded and decided to leave the car.
Though...
By the time he finished his shout, hundreds of blinking red dots appeared on his Mini-Map. But where? He looked around, shaking his head to the left and the right, looking up and looking down. There was nothing.
Then the ground slowly shook. A little bit too late to realize what was going on, as he opened the door. Something warm was splattered on his back.
Alongside with that warmness, dozens of white dots turned grey and disappeared, including the white dots that sat next to him and followed by the screams of his sisters, uniting with several other screams.
Looking at his back, what he found out was his father already impaled, spike-like thing spewed from the ground, piercing both of the car and his father. A cleanpiercing, straight from who wanted to know where and went straight right into his mouth.
His body and arms twitching, his mouth gagging, hiseyeballs rolling alongside with the dripping blood from the point of the spike.
"R...run!!!" Nashi shouted then he opened the door and ran to the back. Carried Yuzu while pulling Ume away, completely forgot about their supplies of the emergency bags.
"Fuk, fuk, fuk, fuk." He spoke like the broken record, repeatedly using the same curse word while trying at his best to concentrate both on their path, the Mini Map and his surrounding.
Now he was like the one that ran and shouted to everyone on their back. But the difference was while they were running before the storm, and he ran when the storm happened. Though, the number of spikes that appeared kept reduced by the significant amount. Making enough room and time for them to run pretty far from their last location and slowly increasing the distance between the spike area of appearance and them.
But... like the movie cliche, while he was forcefully pulling Ume hands, somehow she managed to fall.
"Oi! Get up!!" He shouted to his sister, as she weakly shook his head, crying and repeatedly shouted she had enough of those things.
He frowned when he heard his sister word, the thought of leaving her if she didn''t get up really crossed his mind, but....not like he didn''t understand how she felt. Maybe because she didn''t want to show it, or because she felt safe when their father was still alive or she''d just a slightly late reaction to realizing what was going on. Right now Ume was looked exactly the same as Nashi when he found his mother faceless face.
Weak, terrified, legs shaking, couldn''t stand and the list went on. Glaring... confused about what he should do but lucky for Ume when Nashi shaking his head around, forcibly pulling her hand and dragging her bruised feet. He found a slightly older guy sitting on his motorcycle while waiting for the line to move up.
"Oi, grab her for a minute." He said while roughly gave the slightly chubby preschooler to the dark-skinned girl.
Without hesitation, he walked to the motorcycle man. As the motorcycle man tilted his head when he saw a young man, angrily glaring at him.
A punch flying right to his face, breaking the glass of his helmet, throwing him off to the ground. While the other evacuee shocked when they saw this, they did nothing. No one wanted to help some mysterious stranger and risking their self-assumed safe spot or supplies.
And like one single punch wasn''t enough. To make sure the motorcycle man didn''t fight back, before he was able to stand up or get the gist of what was going on or who the young man was, another kick flew into his stomach, followed by a stomp on his head and finished by the kicked on his head.
As Nashi saw the motorcycle man already unconscious, without saying any word or explanation he took his motorcycle, pushing it throughout the few cars and went back to his sisters.
"...Just shut up and hop on." He said, pulling Ume into the motorbike and putting Yuzu in between them.
Slowly he shifted the lever and pulled the hand grip, clumsily but slowly they moved away from the seas of cars, leaving them behind to their own fate while he was worried and somewhat felt guilty about the motorcycle man.
Once he managed to leave a thousand lines of cars, the rest of his job was an easy task. Unlike before, somehow he felt a little safe and could fully concentrate on the Mini Map as his personal navigation device.
As they circled around and finally found the city outskirt, the break squeaked, Ume''s head bumped into Nashi''s back while Yuzu''s head bumped into his waist. Though this time it wasn''t because of the sea of sand or monsters or other abnormal things. It was because of a bigtranslucent bill-board sized screen floated at the top of the bridge entrance showing them or everyone near them about something.
You are now leaving the Danger Area 27. The danger area will periodically spawn monsters and expanding its territories, shifting the geographic and the climate as the result. Once every 7 days, a vast amount of monsters will spawn and attack nearby areas. Once every month a Raid Boss will appear. It is recommended for you to subjugate the Raid Boss as quickly as possible.
And as they left the bridge and driving forward to the city outskirts.
You are now entering the Neutral Area (Rank 2). Within this area, only monsters under level 20 will appear. For every month a Dungeon will appear. If the dungeon isn''t cleared within the year of its creation 300 Kilometer radius from the Dungeon entrance will turn into Danger Area.
Nashi¡¯s mouth formed a grim line when he realized there another dangerous place like his former city, and yet another problem arose as the bike slowly stopped, seemingly ran out of the gas in the middle of thenowhere.
Chapter 2
In the middle of the darkness with Ume phone as their only source of light and sometimes several lights from some passerby''s cars made her stood, using a long wooden stick as a stumpfor her badly bruised right foot and raising her thumb as a signal that they needed a ride. But it was anotherbig vain, forgot about the passerby giving the three siblings a ride, the passerby didn''t even slow down just for asking about their condition.
"I hope you die in hell!!!!" Ume shouted for the unknown number of times to another passerby, throwing her walking stick as the car''s rear light slowly engulfed by the darkness.
At the same time, Nashi after tirelessly kicked the bike, stomped it, hit it with the rock, vented his emotion out and destroyed the stolen bike to pieces, finally retorting at his sister words of choice. "...It is ''go to hell''."
"No! They''ll die and go to hell and die again in hell!" She said, giving Nashi an annoyed look.
Suddenly feeling it was a best decision to leave her be, Nashi turned away from Ume and continued to rummage the pile of iron junk. "...Just give it up and get some rest." He said before he gathered his strength and pulled thethick motorcycle chain away.
His action made Ume pause, she weakly dragged her right feet and slowly walked forward and pulling his brother collar. "How the hell I can get some sleep when you''re making all that noises. And what the heck are you doing exactly of all this time?!"
"...Making a weapon." Nashi replied, ashe circling the segmented chains composed of tightly joined links, that were often found on bicycles, and sometimes in the hands of people with massive chemical imbalances in their brains.
"And that is the reason nobody is stopping or slowing down you goddamn psychopath!!" She shouted while she was shaking Nashi''s body.
Nashi silently pushed her sister away. With a hardened heart, he glared at her. "...Oi, I just save your life." he said as he reminded his sister that the world right now wasn''t a nice place.
Clicking her tongue, Ume rolled her eyes as she looking at Nashi. "I didn''t ask that." followed by the small muttered as her bottom touched the ground. "...and did you really need to go that far." She said as she looking to the ground, remembered about the fact that his brother forcibly robbing the bike from some random stranger andknocked him down.
And while Nashi was using another chain and tying it down to the iron gear."...Yes." Nashi said when he heard Ume''s small mutter. "...Just shut your mouth and go sleep."
A vein popped on her temple and it didn''t take long for both of the hard-headed siblings to throw insults at each other. Even though they weren''t the closest sibling or acted like a one recently, he had to admit that somehow in his mind, considering of what he just did to her, she should''ve acted like a good sister and listened to his order.
The argument heated and slowly the insults changed into the blames. Reasonable or not, as they were blaming each other about whose fault that their parent death Nashi clenched his fist, coldly looking to his own sister and Ume frowned as she glared at him.
Then from the someplace near them, another voice entered their ears. "....Nii-chan, Nee-chan... Pee..." Said Yuzu while she was rubbing her half-closed red eyes and tried her best to straighten her wobbly head.
"...Just go to that corner." Said Nashi, pointing his thumb to his back, signalling Yuzu to go into that direction.
"....It''s dark...." Yuzu replied. Half sobbing and still half crying.
Nashi could only sigh when he saw her, but at the same time slightly relieved when he realized Yuzu didn''t cry or complain like he thought she would do. "...Oi, Ume, use your phone and accompany her." He said.
Although she didn''t want to listen to his brother order, she still half-heartedly did his bidding and accompanying their youngest sister.
While watching them walked to the nearby fences, Nashi silently took a box of cigarette from his pants, putting the cigarette right into his underaged lips, his fingers trembled around the lighter as he tried to light it up for soo many times until the flame finally burned it down. Heinhaled deeply, letting the smoke seeped into his lungs remembering all the warnings but not caring.Just as he removed the cigarette from his lips, he blew the smoke into the air ashe silently watched a moment of his life sheared away and the ash sprinkled across the asphalt when he flicked the filter.
"...Goddammit." He was hoped this could help him to calm down. But instead of that, what entered his mind right now was his father shout when he found out he was smoking. The lecture from both of his parent, and the regret as he recalling what he just thought before.
...I just save your life now you better listen to my order.
And so did his mother when she gave birth to him, and his father whose worked to give them a fulfilled life. Yet, they never for once trying to force him to listen to their words. Alongside with this was the pain and the disappointment that he felt in his heart when his sister didn''t want to listen to him, even though what he did was basically saving her life. You might be reading a stolen copy. He blankly stared at the cigarette between his fingers. Imagining what his parent felt for the last one year, living and feeding the child that always fought back whenever they gave him an advice. Frowned, his vision became blurry as if he was diving in the ocean without the google. And then he felt the sudden heat near his fingers, the cigarette was almost short enough to burn his finger, and with a little effort, he threw it to the ground and leaned forward to crush it out.
Sighing, somehow he felt a little bit calmed down. While he wondered whether or not it was the work of Nicotine or the lessons that he remembered from his memories, he started to open his status screen and trying to get the gist of it.
There weren''t that many significant changes, but one thing did change. He only saw it for a moment but he remembered the number onbrawling progresswas different. While he couldn''t exactly recall what was the former number but right now the number was 6/40.
Nashi settled down, rubbing his chin and learning the rest of the screen. When he began to think about those numbers and terms. No matter how he perceived it, this was very gamey sounding.
But unlike the game, there was no clue or no further explanation about those terms and numbers, not a single one existed.
Sighing, and by accident, from the Mini Map, he saw both of his sisters already finished their business and went into his direction, as soon as they arrived there was no word, they just lay down, pretending that the hard rock was their bed and their hands were the pillow.
"...Oi, Ume, Yuzu, don''t sleep just yet and hear me out." Nashi said as he was trying the best of his ability to smoothen his tone.
A few moments later, after he finished his word, he caught a glimpse to some few things.
First, as long as the other party agreed, Nashi could see their floating screens and alongside with this discovery.
Installation begins....

Social feature is now installed. Now you can send the message (Up to 150 letters) to a friend within a radius of 1,000 meters from your position. Now you can view the status of your friends, Status will only be updated whenever your friend shows his/her new status. Whenever a friend is dead you''ll get the notification.
After nodding in amazement, at the very least Nashi didn''t need to worry about the communication problem. Though, after adding each other in their Social feature. withoutwasting another second...
First, it was Ume''s turn. She had Inspect as her feature, allowing her to see the status on the object if shewas looking through her circled fingers. Although... she didn''t understand about her Feature either. Butas she tried to use it for the first time on the Chain-Geared weapon.
Inspect Lvl 1:look through your circled fingers to detect and see the status of any object that has a value lower than 10.

Then, the list of her Talent was Archery III 30/60, Bow Weapon Mastery II 6/40, Longbow Weapon Mastery I 6/20, and Swimming I (8/20).
After Nashi was hearing about Ume''s Talents, a question popped out in his mind, what was the difference between Archery and Bow Weapon Mastery? Well, the most important finding was knowing the fact that Ume did do an Archery and it correlated with her Talents.
Second, Yuzu had Inventory as her Feature.
Inventory Lvl 1: Store up to 10 kilograms of things in interdimensional space, time will be frozen for the stored item, can''t store living thing.
As her head nodded in drowsiness, and her eyes half opened and half closed, she showed how Inventory works, using the same Chain Geared object, the object slowly disappeared as it was being sucked into the sudden black hole.
Her list of Talents was Dancing I (11/20) and Persuasion I (10/20)
Still, that was the only thing they could get and understand. And as Yuzu slowly wobbled her head, falling down to the ground, snored with her mouth wide opened.
And from out of nowhere, she opened her mouth and asked something. "Give me your cigarette."
Inwardly sighed, after staring at her for a few seconds, albeit hesitant, he threw the cigarette along with the lighter to her sister. "...If they know about this, I bet they are going to kill me." Nashi spoke, as he watched her trying to light the cigarette up.
Clicked her tongue, after hitting the ground for a few times, the shaking on her hands finally stopped. Though... as the sweetly flavoured filter touched her pink lips, in amazement, she began to lick her own lips, slowly savouring the sweet lingering taste. And without hesitation, she began to light it up and inhale the smoke as deeply as she could.
What followed was Ume''s eyes wide opened when the sweet smell and tasteturned into a bitter one, then shecoughed wildly, exhaling every little bit of the smoke that was trapped inside of her lung, she refused to smile and glared to her brother. (How can he inhale something like this?!) Ume''s thought as her finger slowly changed its direction, ready to flick away the cigarette.
But...
"...Oi, sorry." Said Nashi, slightly nodded toward her sister, even though he couldn''t understand the reason, somehow he just felt he needed to do that.
"About what?" Ume replied as her finger stopped.
"Dunno, just wanted to say it." Nashi''s spoke as he giving her a wry smile.
"Hmph... weirdo, anyway now what? should we take turnskeeping watch? I can take the first watch, you can go get some rest."
Hearing her sister words, Nashi only raised his eyebrows and rolled his eyes. "...You even can''t stay awake past 10."
"Hmph, you may not know but I can stay past 12 right now. Now just go to sleep, let me do the first watch" She smugly said, and five minutes later she joined Yuzu in their private choir of snoring.
Shrugging his shoulder, somehow Nashi felt a little bit relieved to not one hundred percentbelieved at his sister words.
Chapter 3
Without any light the starry night was a brilliant painting, everything bigger and brighter, blurred in the most fantastic way. But at the same time, the total darkness made Nashi felt restless.
Silently watched both of his sisters with his Mini Map, under the drowsiness and without nothing else to do, he spent most of his time doing some little exercise. Jogged on the spot, push-up and sit-up and after some time. Another notification appeared in front of him
Running is now Rank III. +3 m/s and -0.3 stamina consumption while running.
Dumbfounded, but when he opened his Status screen, his running speed now 12 m/s and there was no indication about stamina consumption. Scratching his head, Nashi began to sit and studiously watched the screen.
Then again... There were just too many numbers. Although some seemed self-explanatory and sounded familiar, there was no real information available to him. Blind as he was standing in the darkness, the best thing he could know was his Brawling progression now 10/40 and Running progression now 0/60.
And then another problem arose. After that amount of little exercise, as the sweats dropped from his body then came the thirst, the hunger and the coldness of the night.
Gritting his teeth, he could only blame himself for their condition right now. If he was calmer back then, he should''ve taken the emergency bag or just taken the stranger backpack. But... whatever happened had happened, the most important thing for him right now was to keep his eyes opened and thought about how they should get the food.
As he was turning the gear on his brain, Yuzu suddenly awoke. Her gasping and panting sounds were loud enough to make Nashi realized she was the one that created that sound. Vaguely, he could see she shook her head, looking confused while her body trembled.
"...Oi, Yuzu."
"Ye..yes?!" She answered, shocked by the voice of her own brother as she squinted her eyes, trying to see her brother whereabouts.
"Just walk to the front and sit here." Nashi said, knocking the ground with his finger as the guidance for her.
Rubbing her eyes. In silence, she wobbled her way, reached Nashi and without anyone telling her about what she should do, she immediately sat between Nashi''s legs.
Albeit he knew his hand was full of callous and wasn''t the smoothest hand, he still patting her head. Trying his best to be as gentle as he could. "...Nightmare?" He asked.
Half awake, still dozing off, Yuzu slightly nodded. Then she asked a question to him. "What are you doing?" She asked as she watched her brother seriously looked to the floating screen.
Inwardly sighed, Nashi thought it wasn''t the best time for him to studiously learn those screens. And as he closed the screen, he replied to her. "Nothing... just sle-, hm?"
Not even finishing his words, there were two green dots entered the top most corner of his Mini Map. (What is green?) he thought while he closed Yuzu''s mouth with his hand and followed it by small shushing sound.
Then as he turned his head to the said direction, another green dot entered, and another one, and three more. From the way they walked, he could say they were in some kind of formation. Two in the front, two acted as the wing, two in the back and one in the middle.
Didn''t want to take any risk, he silently carried Yuzu and walked toward Ume, lightly shook her body to wake her up; fully knowing the fact there was no way he could carry both of them at once.
And around the time Ume''s finally opened her eyes, a stone flew right into Nashi''s temple.
The sudden pain and the impact were enough to make him staggered, and the sound was enough to make Ume''s eyes opened wide. "What happened?!" She shouted as she felt a drop of liquid fell from Nashi''s forehead.
Furrowed his eyebrows with grimaced expression. No matter what was the green dot was, from their action it wasn''t a friendly creature and as he considered they were running to their direction, and alongside with the condition of Ume''s foot, running away wasn''t an option. Though... there was another option.
Either he abandoned her and ran with Yuzu, or he became the bait and bought some time. But his eyebrows furrowed deeper, thinking about how disgusting himself was to think about the former option first. Clenching his right fist and circling the chain to cover it. "...Take her and hide." He said as he turned back, barely able to see who or what was the one that attacked him.
Pushing them away, he ran to the opposite direction, already prepared for the worst. Whatever those things were, they spoke in an unfamiliar language, or barely a language as the only words Nashi could listen were. "Gii! Gi! Giigii!! Gigiigi!"
Blinded, he felt another blunt object made contact with his head. But as one dot ran precisely to his front, he swung his fist and hit nothing but an air. Then, after Nashi made his attack the creature hit his right leg with something sharp.
(They can throw an object.) (They short.) (They have a weapon.) (They can see in the darkness.) Were the information that he instantly thought of. Gritting his teeth. This time he swung his fist down like he wanted to hit a grade schooler.
And the decision was right. He felt his fist hit something. Their giggling voices suddenly turned into an angry shout when the rest of them saw their friends dropped to the ground.
Not wasting any second, without hesitation Nashi began to raise his bleeding right leg, repeatedly stomping the creature as he could feel its blood was splattered into his body.
Two creatures created another loud shout and ran into Nashi at the same time. And as the green dot creature that he stomped turned grey, he shifted his direction to the right, completely abandoning the one on the left.
At the same time, his fist reached the right creature, the left one hit his stomach with something blunt. Enough to make him spat his saliva out of his mouth. But, his free left hand grabbed the wooden-felt object and using his left leg to do a low sweep. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
Surprised by the fact they were light, too light until his kick itself was enough to make one of them flew for a few meters. Though, both of the green dots still hadn''t turned grey.
Then another stone flew at his head, Nashi clicked his tongue and charged to the stone direction, heading toward the dot that stood still but this time, with wooden like blunt object on his hands. As Nashi already had the vaguest idea about their height and where they head were located, he swung it from the above and instantly made the green dot turned grey.
"HAAAH! COME ON! WHO ELSE WANT TO COME?!" The loud shout echoed through the dark night, a shout that didn''t have any meaning except for raising his spirit up and making him forgot about the pain on his forehead and his right leg.
"GIII!!" They answered him with their own language, as the other two still alive dots were charging back to him, the others followed their action and surrounded him.
"HAH! DIE!" Nashi shouted as he swung the wooden like object into one of those creatures.
And as his back was unprotected, another pain like some part of his meat was chipped away struck him. Groaned, and gritted his teeth in pain, he turned away and vented the pain back to the creature that slashed his back. "FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU! DIE!" He shouted as his lips slightly curled up, pummeling the still unknown creature even though it already turned grey.
Bludgeon Weapon Mastery is now rank II. +3 Damage when attacking with Bludgeon type weapon.
Another Talent has awoken in your body. You gainUnarmed Combat Mastery rank I. +1 Damage when punching/kicking/headbutting.
Ignoring those notifications, ignoring the pain on his body, he continued to pummel them, shouted while venting all of his anger out.
In the middle of the night, the seven unknown creatures that came at him slowly fell to their ends, all the seven green dots already turned to grey, but without even able to catch his breath. Another two walked in.
Only this time... Nashi eyes were wide opened when he saw a ball of fire floated around two greens, 1-meter creatures that had scrawny body, disposition with its wide ungainly head.
And as the fireball became brighter, the numbers and the letters on their head slowly became clearer.
Lvl 4 Goblin Fighter and Lvl 5 Goblin Mage.
The thinner Goblin Mage, with its very long nose swinging the staff and following the direction of its staff. The fireball flew at Nashi.
Though it was bright, it didn''t take an effort for Nashi to step his way out of the fireball, completely avoiding it and yet without showing any sign of agitation, the Goblin Mage grinned.
Seeing his grin, Nashi frowned. But as the ball touched the ground, it exploded, scattering around into another smaller fireballs.
Just a second after he frowned, several small fireballstouched his left arm. Then he heard a sizzling noise as the flame began to gulp his left arm.
Panickly, he dropped the wooden club on his left hand and used the chain covered right hand to put the fire away, and how was this wasn''t a good idea as his effort made the skin on his right hand melted with the chain. Though, as the result, the fire slowly dissipated.
Groaning in pain, he looked to the Goblin Mage and screamed. "FUCK YOU!!" He shouted as he dashed his way to the Goblin Mage.
Blinded by the anger and the adrenaline, without paying attention to his surrounding the more bulkier and mohawk haired Goblin Fighter swung his big iron mace right into his stomach.
Along with the crackling sound, blood coughed from his mouth. With only fresh burnt hands and wobbled legs, Nashi swung his head and without hesitation, opening his red mouth and bit Goblin Fighter''s right at his neck.
Another Talent has awoken in your body. You gain Bite rank I. +2 damage when biting.
Crunching the meat and ripping it with one momentum. As his mouth was full of stink rotten tasted meat, the Goblin Fighter was trying at its best to cover the wound, but resulting in nothing but a vain.
And yet, he wasn''t alone. Another fireball flew right at Nashi by the time he was pulling the meat from Goblin Fighter''s neck.
But he already knew what would it do, this time, rather than stepped his way he jumped and threw his body to the ground. Feeling the flaming heat flew past of his head.
Seeing this the Goblin Mouth continued to move its mouth, muttered about something that wasn''t ''Gi'' but between its mutter. A young man already arrived right in front of him. Glaring and without saying any word. A slightly weak kick flew right into Goblin Mage''s groin.
And either Nashi didn''t have that much power on his kick or the Goblin Mage had more weight than the rest, he didn''t flew. Though Nashi lips curled up and his eyes were glaring at the Goblin Mage. Raising his feet, he stomped at the Goblin Mage like he was nothing but the cockroach, flattening its head to the ground, splashing the stinky pieces of meat away from his body.
After some time, the adrenaline on his body went down, and the pain on his arms, stomach, legs, became excruciating.
Slowly he sat down right at the messy gore and found a piece of paper and a leather book, lay still near the Goblin Mage corpse.
...In fact, thanks to the fire, Nashi could see several objects that lay near some of the goblin corpse. A card near the Goblin Fighter. And two transparent cubes, and one coin around the other goblins.
"Grh!!" Was the sound he made when he slowly saw his skins were peeled when he took off the chain. "...Fuk." Said Nashi.
Opening his status, his Healthdropped down to 4 and his Stamina went to 10. Alongside this, he got 80 points in total.
Spitting the rest of the meat on his mouth while trying to cover his hands with his shirt. "...Oi! You two! It''s safe now!"
As the two sisters walked out from their hiding, with Ume trying her best to carry Yuzu while covering her eyes and dragging her own leg. Nashi watched them as he slowly had gotten used to the pain on his hands. With a face full of curiosity, hegrabbed the paper and at the time he touched it. Another screen appeared.

Chapter 4
Ignoring the unpleasant pain and just rocking on regardless, Nashi silently watched his sisters collecting some of the things that were ''dropped'' from the goblins.
The first one was the cubes, it didn''t have any name, unlike the rest. When being Inspected by Ume one of the cubes only showed xxx but the other one..
Elephant Hook.
Rarity: Basic.
Type: Spear.
Effect: +3 Piercing damage. +1 Slashing Damage.
Quality: 100.
Value: 8.
Then Nashi frowned as she spoke about those, no matter one looked at it, it was a cube. Nothing looked like an elephant or a hook, but then he remembered about something.
He tried to move his untreated wounded hands and gently touched the cube. And just like his guess, another screen popped up.
Item Cube I
Contain any item of valued between 1-20.
Do you want to open the cube? (Cost 10 Point.)
Nashi¡¯s eyes stuck to the screen, his best guess was that value number was a coefficient for points. And considering he already knew the item value and it was lower than the opening cost, he could only think that Item Cube was something similar to loot box.
But then again, thanks to Ume inspect, moving forward with this hypothesis. (Isn''t that mean the xxx cube has an item valued more than 10?) He thought when he remembered about Ume''s Inspect description.
Slightly hesitant but considering he needed to test his theory sooner or later, he opened the xxx cube, reducing his points to 45.
The cube shone and opened itself, and as they watched a short, curved sword like the one in the pirate movie appeared in Nashi''s hand, only for him to groan and drop it to the ground.
"....Somehow I don''t think nothing will surprise me anymore." Said Ume, as she took the cutlass and began to Inspect it. .... Nothing happened, there was no screen that showed its damage, value or quality. "Hmph, so this one is higher than 10." She continued as she began to swing the cutlass around.
And on the sideline, the drowsiness was gone from Yuzu''s face as she was watching them like she watched a magician performance.
Moving to the next item, it was a coin that had a leg symbol but this time, none of those three could open the screen, confused of the coin usefulness, Ume used Inspect on it.
Status Coin I.
Rarity: Rare.
Type: Leg
Effect: Improve your Leg status by one.
Quality: N/a
Value: N/a
But she only tilted her head in confusion as she flipped the coin, wondered about the N/a value and quality then she said "...So... how the hell we can use it?"
"Ah..." Nashi opened his mouth as he realized that unlike with the Cube or the Recipe. The coin didn''t have the yes or no option. "...Eat it?" He spoke half serious.
And maybe the goddess of luck was on their side, as Ume annoyed by his brother joke, she threw the coin right at his face, breaking it in half and a notifications came to her.
You can increase one leg''s status of your choice by 1.
"Oooh~ I see~." She said as she opened her status screen, distributing it into to the Speed and then explained about her discovery to her siblings.
Next was the Card and this time the screen popped out whenever they touched the card. There was a little bit of the problem though... as Nashi and Ume were arguing whom should get the class. Though, after spending some time, it was decided that Nashi will be the one that took the class.

Confused wasn''t quite the right word as Nashi was overwhelmed by the amount of information that came at him. Still... there was another item that they hadn''t test yet, and this time, as he was touching the book. The screen popped out, though once again that didn''t happen when Ume and Yuzu touched it. While he was wondered about what was the difference, he studiously stared at the screen, trying to find what was the difference.

After a deep sigh, no matter what he couldn''t get what made him could do it and they couldn''t. As he noticing both of his sisters already collapsed on the ground, snoring in harmony. Chapter 5
When the morning came... there was nothing. There were no parents to shout at them, no smell of freshly toasted bread, no checking the social media on their phone. And without nothing else to do, they started their morning by the long walk.
"...Nii-chan, I''m hungry." Said Yuzu as she was rubbing her belly, though lucky for her being a child, she didn''t need to spend any unnecessary energy as she was being carried by her brother.
"And I''m thirsty." Said Ume as she was creating the tok tak sound with her wooden stick.
"...And I don''t get a single sleep last night, just shut up and keep walking. We''ll find the food on our way."
"Hmph, where do you get that confident? and where is our destination?!"
Albeit he didn''t want to admit Ume''s question, but yeah... Nashi hadn''t had a single clue about their destination, but that wasn''t his biggest concern.
The first was water and food, anything was fine, even just finding any seed for his Tree Fruit was fine. But yeah, maybe the karma for never finishing his mother food was striking him right now as no matter how much they walked, he didn''t find a single seed.
Second, shelter and rest. Forgot about a camp or anything like that, just an abandoned car was fine, at the very least he could sleep without a slight peace of mind for having something to cover their surrounding.
Then Ume''s feet, it had swollen and turned blue. With every step she took Nashi could hear her groan and her complaint and his hands, the wound wasn''t a big one, just red skin without any blisters, still, the part where his skin was peeled made him worried about infection.
Last there were monsters. He thought it might be a good idea if Ume could help him in the future, but considering their condition right now, run and hide should be their focus.
And another problem arose, as Ume from out of nowhere began to sit down, shouted "That''s it!! I have enough!!" as loud as she could as she threw the wooden stick.
At least Nashi was grateful they didn''t meet any monsters on their way. At least not a strong one as every goblin and other monsters they met were running away. Thanks to Nashi frightening Lvl 1 and Intimidation Lvl 1. Though... he wondered what made her bruised and his burned hand different from the rest of his wounds.
The deep wound on his back, the cut wound on his leg, the wound on his head and the pain on his stomach were already gone. Leaving nothing but a scar that gradually disappeared. Though, as he couldn''t make sense of what made them different, he decided to pursue this matter in the future.
As he watched the supposed sister that was older than Yuzu sulking on the ground, with a deep breath, he put Yuzu down on the street. "...Watch your sister, I''ll go search for something to eat."
Like a robot getting the input command, she wildly nodded and wobbled her way to Ume. Faithfully stood on her sister side, full of spirit with a puffed face.
Looking at her, once again he felt relieved, she was strong. Even though she said she was hungry she didn''t have that much of a complaint. "...Anyway, just take some rest or running on the spot while I am gone."
He wasn''t that sure, but his Running III and Brawling II had been gradually increased to 10/60 and 29/40. The best deduction he could make was that by repeatedly doing those activities they could learn the Talent or the screen was nothing but a tool to help them saw their own talent.
In the end, Nashi left them all by themselves, scouting the area in front of them.
And in the dead of daylight, he met a column of goblins and dire rats, what was most interesting was they seemed to work together. Even though both were level 1, but the goblins seemed able to control the dire rats. "...Is there some sort of hierarchy between them?" He muttered as he watched the agitated goblins the distance.
Still... the dire rats somehow looked edible, and as Nashi walked to their range, the goblins muttered in their own language, seemingly hesitated whether or not they should attack him or running away.
Under the bright sun, Nashi abruptly kicked one of the goblins, throwing it for a few meters away. Thanks to the Intimidation, one glare was enough to paralyze their body in fear. Less than 20 seconds, Nashi''s kick came at them like a truck, breaking their neck in a single kick, and those not dead by the first kick got obliterated by the series of his stomps.
Though, as his Technique Point or what they abbreviated as TP dropped to zero, the goblins gathered more tightly together, rushing towards him. With a grin, he raised a hand and started to use his fist towards the group, the sound of breaking bones, the screams, and apparently, the sound and the blood had finally made him grinned.
Strangely, the green little humanoid wasn''t that strong compared to the dog-sized rat, and yet they were the one that ordered them around. And as one of the goblins barked something in its language, and the rest of the goblins turned and fled. Not for the Dire Rat though, as they still rushed toward Nashi, their eyes filled with bloodlust, they screeched at Nashi, fighting to the last bit of their life. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
And his grin became wider, as Nashi recklessly breaking their neck and face, without caring for the damage they gave to him. With each biting wound, scratching wound and bruises on his body; the remaining Dire Rat slowly dropped to death.
After each one of them dropped to their own demise, Nashi was delighted to discover that a notification came to him.
Brawling is now rank III. +3 to Power and Defence.
Catching his breath up while he was carefully cleaning the blood from his hand, Nashi took a quick glance at his surrounding. There was no Class Card, but they did drop 12 Cubes, 3 Coins, 1 red glowing ball, and another Recipe, with him gaining 120 points from the massive amount of goblins and dire rats that he smashed.
Though... still feeling the tiredness in his body from the last battle, Nashi decided to settle back, slowly gathering all of the items, a corpse of dire rat and walked back to his siblings.
****
By the time he came back, a big grin plastered on his face when Ume finished inspecting the cubes. From 12 cubes, three that couldn''t be inspected. But in the other nine, five of them contained weapons, two knives, one sword, one shield and one bow. Considering that Ume could use a bow, Nashi opened the one that contained the bow but... "...The hell, it doesn''t give an arrow." but the disappointment was nothing compared to what they found on the other four cubes. The other four cubes contain foods. And yes, not the raw ingredient, but food, a real warm edible plate of food.
A plate of ratatouille, a bowl of onion gratin, a plate of chicken and mushroom and lastly one big piece of concentrated chocolate were flying out, complete with a spoon and a fork when Nashi opened the cubes; using 10 points each to get those 1 value point thing.
As the drool fell from their mouth and without hesitation Nashi took the several layers of thinly sliced onions and vegetables covered in a creamy white sauce. Ume took the ratatouille, a plate of nutritious soup made from a variety of vegetables that had lavender oil smell. Yuzu took the simple, home-cooked chicken saut¨¦ed with mushroom sauce.
After they finished their foods, the dishes were being put into Yuzu Inventory. While they were eating the chocolate cake as their snack, Nashi began to open the next three unidentified cubes, the result was a bottle of red liquid, a ring, and a spiked shield.
"Hey, can I drink that?" Said Yuzu as she was looking at the bottle of red liquid.
"...No." Said Nashi, he knew his sisters were thirsty and so did he. But considering the drink itself was unidentified, he decided that it wasn''t worthy to try that out, but...
Out of nowhere, Ume grabbed the bottle from his hand. "No matter how you take a look at it, this is a potion!!" She said as she opened the cork, and without hesitation, she gulped it down.
As she gulped the red liquid potion, the expression on her face turned ugly, like she just stepped on a lego piece. After coughing and spatting the red liquid. "...Just how the hell someone can make something this bitter!!!" She said.
Although, seemed like she was right about it being a potion as the bruise and the colour on her feet turned to normal. "...Oi, finish it." Said Nashi when he noticed her feet condition.
"Grhh.." Groaning, this time her face was full of hesitation. Her face turned like she was being choked to death with every gulping sound that she created. And in the halfway through the bottle, she stopped. "...Oh!! The pain is gone!!" She stood, ran and jumped around as there was nothing wrong with her feet.
Amazed by the effect, this time Nashi began to gulp it down. As the red liquid began to enter his mouth, it did feel bitter, but if he must say, it tasted a little bit like an alcohol, a delicious kind of bitter. And just like his sister, the wound on his hands along with several small cut and bruises slowly healed until nothing was left, not even a scar.
Feeling his body was at its peak, minus the drowsiness. He moved forward to the coins, at first by the time he found it, he wanted to use all of that coin. But after some consideration, he decided it was the best for him to split the coin with his sister, considering he needed a rest and he needed someone else to take the night watch.
He gave Ume the eye symbol one, with him took the arm symbol and face symbol coin. Respectively the arm one was being used to raise his power in arms status and face to raise presence in Charisma status. And Ume raised her perception in Senses status. With Yuzu getting whatever the next coin they could get.
The glowing red ball was a simple one, either raising the Health by 7 or raising the Health regeneration by 3. And this time, after grimacing for some amount of time whether or not he should take the orb or give it to his sisters. He single-handedly decided he would take the first one, and slowly gave them whenever he could find another one.
But now, the big question mark was why did both of Ume and Yuzu couldn''t open the cube or the recipe. Ume best guess was because neither both of them had a point or because both of them hadn''t killed a monster. Still, if that was the case, nothing they could do right now.
As Nashi touched the recipe, the screen popped out and

"Oi! Ya kidsneed a ride?!" Shouted thebearded old man from the inside of his truck.
Chapter 6
"Oi! Ya kids need a ride?!"
The truck was dilapidated and rusting and most of the tires were bald. Nashi sighed. He wanted to accept his offer but before he was able to refuse it.
"We are!!!" Like a kid seeing an ice cream van, Ume jumped from sitting position and cheerfully went to the truck.
With closed eyes, Nashi only shook his head and silently followed his sister. "...Don''t change your mind, kay?" He said to Ume, though unaware of what her brother meant by that, she only tilted her head and carried Yuzu with her.
Once they walked closer, the old man wasn''t alone. Sittingnext to him was a girl, maybe around 10 at most, silently watched them while her head was resting against the window. "Ah, sit in da back! da front is already taken!" Said the old man.
Nodded, the siblings followed the old man order and climbed their way to the back, with Yuzu in the middle, Nashi right in the old man back and Ume on the grade school girl. "Yar all set? Hang on then kiddo, I''m not a good driver!" Said the old man followed by the pirate sounding laugh.
Though, with a deep sigh, Nashi slowly closed his eyes and let the wind hammered and flapped his hair. Thinking that at the very least he could take a relaxing sleep. And on his side, Yuzu the only one that didn''t manage to drink the potion was holding her dry throat. "...Nee-chan, I''m thirsty."
Hearing this, Ume carefully crawled her way, knocked at the glass and shouted. "Uncle! Can I get some water?!"
"Water?! Just take it from the blue bag!" Said the old man.
Once again, as the wind flapping her skirt she crawled her way to the blue bag and what she found was a big pile of treasure. Water, canned foods, flashlight, batteries, hand crank radio, first aid kit and medications, multi-purpose tool, blankets, and what really attracted her attention was the soap, shampoo and toothpaste.
As a girl, the odour that permeated from her body was really unforgivable right now. Not to mention the smell that came from her brother, the smell of blood from her brother clothes really pierced her nose, and it was worsened with the fact that the wind hammered against them, making the smell turned into rotten one.
After she opened the cap and gave the bottle to Yuzu. "So~ Uncle! How''s the city?!"
"The city ain''t good!! Why do ya think we''re here?"
"O..oh..." The ugly expression she made as she regretted her question was enough to make her won the tv show. Though, as she watched her sister gluttonously drinking the water, spilling it from the corner of her mouth. Slapping her cheeks for many times to change her face back. "So, where is your destination?!" once again she shouted.
"Ah''m heading south, ah heard there is dis city that still standing on the south!"
"Oh?! What city?!"
"Ah dunno, anyways even if that city ain''t no good, ah can take my boat and head to my island." After that, no one spoke about anything, and then the old man spoke again. "So, whatz yar story?!"
"What do you mean by that?!" Said Ume.
"Well, considerin ya guys don''t know bout the city, mah best guess iz dat ya guys are escapin before everythin went bad."
"Hmph, that huh... I guess we''re just lucky." Said Ume as her voice became smaller after each word, suddenly remembering about her father and mother. And somehow feeling grateful that her brother didn''t leave her back then.
"Lucky huh? Ah guess we''re all gonna need dat." And once again the old man closing his words with pirate laughed. "By the way, ya''ll can call me Hatake, and dis little one izmy granddaughter, Eiko."
"Oh~ Nice to meet you Eiko~ The one that speaking right now is Ume, the stink one is my brother, Nashi. And this little on is Yuzu, come Yuzu, introduce yourself."
"Yes! My name is Kamiya Yuzu, 5 years old!" Yuzu shouted cheerfully. Though there was no response from Eiko, as she just silently watched the road.
"Sorry little one, she hasn''t said a single word since this happened, anyway, she isn''t a bad child. Trust me, when she begins to talk nothing can stop her." Said Hatake while he patted Eiko head.
"Oh, I see... well if you need someone to do your hair just ask me!" Shouted Ume.
And as they journey continued, one young man in particular always groaned in his sleep.
***
Nashi silentlysat in the dark while he watchedhis father came in. The room was nothing like the steel and concrete monoliths around it. The walls were as thick as a medieval castle and the windows almost as mean. There was no flicker of light within and the thick wooden doors were closed as he expected them to be.
Then after the calmful conversation, his handcuffed hands were slamming against the metal table, creating a sound loud enough for the other police to hear it from the outside.
"I''m your son goddamnit!!! How can you not believe me?!"Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"No, I do believe in yo-"
"Then why are you agree with that?! That wasn''t my fault!!"
His father only reaction was massaging his forehead as the needle just pierced it. "...Listen, you''re still young, there are many things that you don''t understand yet."
BAAAM!
"STOP GIVING ME THAT BULLCRAP!! WHAT I DID IS SELF DEFENCE!!!"
Sighed, he only shook his head. "Yes, I know... it''s just... there is a limit for what you think about self-defence, and once we get out, make sure to follow what I do."
"WHAT?! BET YOU''LL BOW YOUR HEAD RIGHT?! LIKE HELL I WILL BOW AT THEM! YOU''RE NOT EVEN FIGHTING THEM!!"
"...Nashi, listen, sometimes fighting back isn''t an option. Anyway, it''s either this or you''ll go to juvenile."
And walk out they did, when the door was opened, eight persons in total were glaring at the young man whose face was covered with bruises and stitches. "...Tch, you better put your child in the mental hospital."
"I''m sorry." Said his father as he forced Nashi to bow his head alongside with him, and inside of his working suit was eight thick brown envelopes, slowly changed the ownership from his hand into their hands.
***
Waking up was no longer the pleasure it was. It could be really hard, especially when you dreamed about someone you''ll never meet again. People said the memory of a dream would be erased, they might be right but one thing they didn''t mention was the lingering feeling that stayed behind. And in Nashi case was regret.
Then his lids that were drooping and leadenviolently opened as if he''d been woken by the disaster siren. But only this time, rather than a siren, it was his because he bumped the back of his hand into the rusty steel. "...What happened?" Said Nashi as he rubbed his head, looking around and found both of his sisters were rubbing their head in pain, like the one he just did.
"Ya''ll okay backthere kiddo?! Seems like we''re gonna take a detour." Shouted Hatake, as he slowly turned his truck from the row of the abandoned cars.
(...Why they abandoned their car?) Was the only question that popped in Nashi''s mind when he saw this. He stood around and gazed to the distance, from what he could tell, seemed like there was a big accident, considering the amount of traffic that came from their way and the opposite way.
(...But why didn''t they turn around? or driving to the side.)
As the nauseated and uncomfortable feeling eating him from the inside. "...Yuzu, give me the sword to Ume and the chain gear to me." Listening to her brother, faithfully she took them out and gave it to her siblings. "And Ume, help me looking around.
(...There are no corpses, no red or green dot and the car isn''t damaged either. This feels like.... they just disappeared? but why? yeah the traffic is bad but I don''t see the reason for them to abandon it.)
But beforeHatakewas able to turn his truck, the engine suddenly stopped. Yeah, it was an old truck, but the timing and the location really gave a bad vibe for Nashi. And while Hatake tried for a dozen amount of times to restart the engine, Ume suddenly pointed toward something shouted. "Ah!! There''s a person over there!"
Squinting his eyes, Nashi vaguely did see someone, though it was too far for him to clearly tell about the face but from the figure alone he could tell it was a man.
"Nii-chan, there''s another one over there too." Yuzu said as she pulled his pants, pointing with the other hand to the shadowy figure, this time it was a pale-skinned woman, dragging her feet while she seemed muttered about something.
"Oi! Yar okay over there miss?!" Hatake Shouted and waved his hand to the pale-skinned woman.Maybe because she noticed his gesture, the woman turned her body and slowly walked to their direction.
And slowly the numerous people started to appear one by one, and as the woman entered Nashi Mini-Map radius. "It is green?!" He shouted when he saw the green dot, and not only the woman, another green dot slowly entering his Mini-Map radius. (...Am I wrong about green being another monster?)
"Where is the green one?!" Ume shouted as she tightly clenched the cutlass. Not yet realizing about the position of the problem. Though, after she said that, a few seconds later she muttered. "...Lvl 3 Zombie?!"
Surprisingly, without saying another word andrelatively calm, Nashi carried Yuzu by the time Ume finished her word and jumped out from the truck. Following him was Ume, taking the blue bag and another bag away with her as she jumped down."Old man! You''re coming with us or not?!" Shouted Nashi.
"In a minute! Eiko, are you ready?!"The old man walked to the outside, carrying Eiko in his back. Though... as he ran passing the siblings. "What ar you doin? Hurry up or they''ll catch up to us. Isn''t they almost surrounding us?"
In reflex, Nashi dropped the chained gear and turned Yuzu''s face into his body. "Close your eyes and cover you ear!" He shouted. And next on his side was Ume,trembled by what she saw with her own eyes.
Right on his back, Hatake was carrying Eiko as her blood running dark from her stomach... or if they could tell whether or not it was her stomach or her waist. Her intestines spewed onto the ground in pinkish brown coils. Indeed Nashi already realized from the first that Hatake brought a dead person with him, but he just thought that Hatake didn''t realize about her being dead and he wanted to tell about it after he had some rest or once already reached their destination. But, no matter how much he looked at her, even a toddler could tell that she was a goner.
The denial was big in Hatake''s mind. As the butchery rotten smell pierce their nose, Hatake said. "Don''t worry, don''t worry. A doctor must be able to fix her up. C''mon kiddo, what ar ya waitin for?"
And another thing that surprised them was the supposedly dead Eiko suddenly moved her head, groaning as she opened her mouth. "Oh~? Yar awake?" Said Hatake.
Trained by the many of B-rated zombie movies, Nashi wanted to warn Hatake, but before he was able to do that her mouth already bit his neck. His skin was being peeled back, his arteries being torn, and slowly his life fluid splurted like a fountain.
As both of Nashi and Ume watched ''Eiko'' eating her own grandfather, with every munch she made, a piece of the bite-sized meat fell from the hole in her waist.
Pulling Ume''s hand,He ignored Hatake and dashed away, And maybe... thanks to Hatake, most of the zombies completely ignored the three siblings and continued their way to him. As they were hearing the sound of munching and screaming behind them, not even stopping for once, they continued to run with Nashi breaking the head of several zombies that didn''t get baited by Hatake, completely ignoring whatever item they were dropping.
After they ran until they ran out of the breath, dropping to their knees, shivering, Nashi once more being reminded of how close he was to dying.
"....Ume, you''re okay?" He asked by the time he noticed Ume''s dark skin had completely gone blue.
"*Sob* ...yeah."
(And she is another strong one, you are strong, both mentally and physically, maybe if both of you aren''t here,I''ll completely lose my mind a long time ago.) That was what Nashi thought as he slowly hugged his trembling sister.
"Nii-chan? hello? can I open them now?"
"...5 more minutes." Said Nashi, as he letting Ume spilt her emotion out, sobbing, crying, vomiting, shouting. There were different kind of emotion that came from her, and he knew Ume didn''t want Yuzu to see her like this.
Chapter 7
Sitting down, Ume inhaled slowly, her system responding to the smoke, and she felt her lungs being wrapped by a toxic fog. Taking small, slow draws of the cigarette, no matter how much she took it, it never tasted good. But whatever the thing inside that smoke, she hoped if she used up enough it would make her calm. Even it was all just for a moment.
A few meters from her side, Nashi was trying at his best to create fire, silently made the fire formation and blew the spark. Though, it wasn''t as easy as it looked like. After another failed attempt, he stood up, kicked the fire formation and put another piece of cigarette in his mouth.
Slightly sat near him was Yuzu, spinning the lever on the hand-cranked radio, grinning and dancing her head like she was playing with her toy.
"...Hey, do you think every dead person will turn into a zombie?" Said Ume after she clumsily blew the smoke from her mouth.
Hearing his sister, Nashi only shook his head, blew several smoke rings from his mouth and said. "Nay, if that''s the case the girl, what is her name again? Ah, right Eiko should''ve turned into one a long time ago." But as he realized the cranked sound already stopped and Yuzu already watched him with a sparkle on her eyes. Guessing what she wanted him to do, once again he inhaled the smoke and created another smoke ring, this time a big one. "...My best guess, there is something on that place that turns them into a zombie, I mean no matter how you look at it, the timing was too perfect." He said while watching the smoke dissipated.
"...Anyway, we have enough amount of food and water for now. And since you can move normally right now, how abouthelping me collecting some item?"
"Then who will watch her?" Said Ume, pointing her index finger to Yuzu.
Hearing this, she stood up, folding her arm and with a smug face, she said. "I can take care of myself!!"
"...Yeah, about that... it might be better for her to learn to survive, so yeah... I guess she needs to come with us." Said Nashi as he putting the cigarette off, sighing as he noticed he only had three pieces left.
"Anyway, I''m going to sleep, and about how we will do that I''ll explain tomorrow."
Ume nodded, she covered herself with a blanket while using the flashlight as their source of light. Keeping the watch while waiting for her turn to sleep.
***
As the morning came, their breakfast was lemon-vanilla flavoured calory bar, after that they walked quite a bit astray from the main street and after spending some time, they found seven level 1 goblin.
Without hesitation, Nashi used Intimidation, glaring at the seven goblins and as the result, every each one of them was paralyzed by fear. And from his back, Ume swinging the cutlass right at their neck but much to his surprise, he also got another Point even when Ume was the one that killed them.
Though, after six goblins had fallen, rewarding both of them with 12 points. With one goblin being left behind, as Ume began to gather the item they dropped, Nashi marched to the goblin and with every crackling sound, the goblin was losing its ability to move. And Nashi broke all of the bone in its limbs and its teeth, then he dragged the barely alive goblin at Yuzu direction and threw it right in front of her.
"...Can you do it?" Nashi said with sympathetic eyes.
Without answering Yuzu only nodded, her trembling hand was clenching a dagger, and with closed eyes, she moved the dagger right into the goblin''s chest. As the blood flowed from its chest, muttering something in its language the goblin met its demise. Giving Nashi and her 2 points.
And like what Ume guessed, once they had the point they could open the screen from the cube and the spellbook. After this they would rest for an hour, with Nashi searching for any kind of seed, sometimes killing another weak monster he could find, Ume reading the spellbook while keeping her eyes on Yuzu and Yuzu spinning the lever on the cranked radio, sometimes doing some little exercise.
The result by the mid-day wasn''t disappointing. They point they got In total was Nashi 161, Ume 84 and Yuzu 25. Alongside this, they also got 21 cubes, 10 coins, 2 red orbs, 1 scroll, 2 spellbooks, one blue orb and one green orb.
From 21 cubes, 14 were identified, from among it they got 6 plates of food, using Nashi points to open them, they got a standard fried rice, spaghetti and apple tart. Whilst the other three set of food was being kept by Yuzu. On the other eights, most of them were weapons but the last one contained 20 pieces of arrows, complete with its quiver. The big mischievous grin plastered on Ume''s eyes as she finally got the weapon she familiar with.Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings.
The other sevens unidentified one contained two red liquids, one blue liquid, a spiky black mace, a polished helmet, a set of leather armguard, a red transparent stone and a ring.
The next things they were distributing was the spellbooks and the scroll. Using rock-paper-scissor to decide which should pick first. The first winner was Yuzubut seemed like she didn''t understand much and only picked it randomly. And another discovery they discovered was while recipe needed them to complete the specific set of activities, the spellbook needed them to read them while the skill scrolls needed them to follow the instruction and having the required Talent.
In the end, after Ume took another spellbook and Nashi took the scroll. As the only one that already fulfilled the requirement for Firebolt Lvl 1 was Ume. Opening the screen, she learned the said spell.

Alongside with this, a puzzle piece had been filled, for whatever the perception was, but Ume could see the monster name and level from 7 meters away, whilst Nashi could only see it from 3 meters. Thinking about this in their mind, the list of status that they couldn''t make sense were Capacity, Endurance, Precision, Control, Boost and Break.
Nashi best guess was that Capacity was the parameter to show how strong they were to lift things up, though since they didn''t have an exact measurement, he wasn''t that sure about this.
Scratching his head, but since they didn''t have anything else to do. "...Oi! Ume! Shot the firebolt at me." Said Nashi. "...Just make sure you shot it on my hand." He continued as he waved his hand up into the air.
Tilted her head, but with a grin, she pointed her finger at her brother and said something in the unknown language. "[Firebolt]"
Without hesitation, a fire with the size of golf ball flew directly to Nashi''s hand. Burning his palm while he studiously watched his status screen. His healthonly reduced by one and he did feel the heat and the pain but it wasn''t that painful.
Slightly shaking his hand to extinguish the fire, there burn on his hand slowly regenerated, unlike the burn wound from the Goblin Mage. With a deep sigh, instead of an answer, he got himself another question mark of what made the difference betweenUme firebolt and the goblin fire.
(...Well, at least we can make a fire for tonight.)
And after spending the rest of their day doing some extermination, they went back to the main street, spending the rest of their time doing different types of exercise, jogged on the spot, swung the different type of weapon, punched the air, and when the sun set down Nashi got another series of notifications.

Chapter 8
Once again, the road trembled when another car passed without even slowing down. "Oi!! Don''t go to the main road!!" Ume shouted, tried to warn the third passerby but instead what she got was a small pebble hitting her forehead.
"...Shut up, we''re trying to get some sleep." Nashi said with half closed eyes. "...And no need to warn them you stupid, they don''t even try to help us."
"Excuse me~?!" She said as he rubbed her forehead. "Listen, do you know for every person that died on that place meaning it is plus one zombie?!"
"...So? We can circle the place, anyway stop shouting, Yuzu is still sleeping." Nashi said as he sitting up, though, even if his sister was annoying with all of her shoutings, at the very least she did try to warn them. So yeah, at least they didn''t need to feel responsible for not telling them.
As he scratched his hair while the sleepiness and the tiredness were gone from his body. "...By the way, how''s your progress?"
"Not bad~ My Running raised to the lvl 2 and I got Slash Weapon Mastery too. There is no news on the radio though. Anyway~ [Entangle]"
Along with her mystical word, a root began to wrap Nashi''s legs, strong and flexible enough to make him had a hard time to destroy it. "...Damn, you''re a smart one aren''t you?"
With a big grin, she had a smug look on her face as her thumb wiped her nose like some famous martial artist. "Hmph! The spellbook is simple once you get the basic."
"...I take back what I just said." Said Nashi as he took another piece of cigarette, as they watched the smoke twirling in the air. "...Say, do you think what we did the right thing?"
"About what?"
"...You know, at first, I kinda thought it would be better for Yuzu to learn to fight... but yeah, somehow watching her doing that kinda make me sad... huh, I guess that was what mom and dad felt when they saw me fighting huh."
Even though Nashi did a serious talk since it came from his mouth, Ume only snorted. "Hmph, you sounded like an old man right now, then what? you''re going to say you''re having a backache?"
Her answer was as cold as the night was, with a wry smile Nashi replied to her. "Geez, I''m seriously in a melancholy mode here, well whatever, it is the right thing for now." Throwing the blanket to her. "Just sleep, I''ll take the watch." Said Nashi when he noticed Ume''s half-opened eyes.
And he was right, not a minute passed when he said that an unfeminine snore came from her mouth. And feeling the necessity to train his body, he stood up and began to follow the instruction from the skill scroll.
The skill scroll was filled with a picture, more precisely a step per step pictures of how doing the skill, it began with the picture showed him how to do the stance, first Nashi began to stand with his feet had shoulder-width apart, and one foot in front of the other. Next with the mace on his dominant hand, he stroke the area in front of him while visualizing someone of his height and build stood before him.
It wasn''t an easy one though since he needed to precisely follow the picture, the angle, the degree, the leg position, the way he spun his wrist. And by the time the sun started to shine, he finally felt comfortable with the basic over-head and sidestroke. Alongside with this, the progress of his Bludgeon Weapon Mastery III went to 47 and he got another talent.
Another Talent has awoken in your body. You gain Mace Weapon Mastery rank I. +1 Control when you are using Mace type weapon in your dominant hand.
With the notification, he felt confident that he could learn the said skill. With his hand slowly opening the scroll, a screen popped out and told that he finally worthy enough to learn the skill.

Clenching the mace as tightly as he could, he began to remember the posture and the step he needed to do before he activated the Holy Smite. As he gathered his breath, he could feel something warm flowing into his hand and slowly moving into his mace, and as he felt both of his hand and his mace fused into one, he began to swing the mace to the ground.
The ground cracked when his mace making the contact with it, the sound itself sounded like a car just hammered against the stone wall. Loud enough to make both of Ume and Yuzu instantly opened their eyes. "What happened?!" Said Ume as she grabbed her bow and dazedly looking around.
"...Sorry, that''s me."
And once again their morning started early as they ate the calory bar, use some water to clean their body and began to continue their way. Though, rather than going straight to the main road, they took the other more bumpy road.Stolen story; please report.
On their journey, the goblins, and the dire rats wasn''t a big challenge for them. Their strategy was perfect, and following the jungle law, if they met a strong enemy, they would hide and move stealthily. And what they categorized by the strong was every enemy they couldn''t beat or having a hard time beating them, some of them were human-sized walking tree Lvl 7 Treant, the goat-like man Lvl 8 Faun, a big green toad that could spew acid; Lvl 13 Acid Frog and several other things.
Maybe his father was right, sometimes fighting everything wasn''t the best option. Sometimes the best option was to become a coward and devour the weak. And by repeatedly doing this, right before they decided they would stop and take a lunch, they met a group of goblin, but this time it had Lvl 4 Goblin Thief and Goblin Shaman along with several other goblins and dire rats surrounding them.
Following the same strategy, Nashi walked in, using Intimidation and Ume would snipe and burn them from afar. And if Nashi wasn''t able to block their way, Ume would use Entangle to wrap their feet, stopping their movement for a few seconds but few seconds was more than enough for him to completely bashed their head.
But this time, the goblins had their own strategy. As the small and hunched Goblin Thief moving their way to Ume and Yuzu, the Goblin Shaman began to chant something and hurl the rock toward Nashi, stopping him from blocking the Goblin Thief movement.
Unknowingly to those two goblins, as the basketball sized rock hurled at his way, he raised his knee and grabbing the mace with both of his hand, hitting the rock like it was nothing but an oversized baseball ball. Destroying it to pieces and bouncing some of the shrapnel back to the Goblin Shaman.
Following this, he immediately turned his back and threw the dagger to the Goblin Thief, though... before his dagger was able to make contact with the Goblin Thief, an arrow already pierced its head.
And just like that, the Goblin Thief dropped dead. Losing its partner, the Goblin Shaman eyes turned red and it began to chant some weird language, but before Nashi was able to do anything another arrow flew right into the goblin''s eye.
While watching their leader dropped to their demise, several other goblins began to run away while some stood still, fighting to the last breath with the dire rat.
A few minutes later, the battle was over when Nashi bashed the brain out of the last goblin. All in all, before lunch, both of Nashi and Ume got 258 and Yuzu got 52. Not too mention the massive amount of cubes, 24 coins, 5 different coloured orbs, one skill scroll, two cards and Nashi Thug''s level raised to level two.

Between the former and the latter, considering that Frightening was parallel with his presence, Nashi chose the increased status, giving him another +2 Power, +2 Defence, +1 Endurance, +1 Perception, +2 Speed, + 2 Presence, and + 1 Break.
Next, rather than distributing the coins like who wanted it and who didn''t, they make a simple rule. They chose three types of coin, and for every five coins they would take the first one, gave one to the other, then took another one and gave the other one to the last siblings, with the last remaining coin equally distributed.
As for the orbs, they distributed it equally until each of their value reached 50.
With the new rule, Nashi picked Arms, Body and Luck coin, whilst Ume took Senses, Muscle and Magic, with Yuzu took Legs, Mind and Soul. With Charisma coin became the one that equally distributed.
For this time, Nashi took 2 Arms coins, 1 Body coin and 2 Luck coins, 1 leg coin, 1 charisma coin, and 1 muscle coin, with him taking the green craft orb and the orange technique orb.
Ume took 1 arms coin, 1 luck coin, 1 legs coin, 2 magic coins, 1 mind coin, and 2 muscle coins. With the blue mana orb and yellow stamina orb for her
While Yuzu took 1 soul coin, 1 luck coin, 2 mind coins, 1 muscle coin, 1 magic coin, and 2 legs coins and she took the red health orb.
For the skill scroll, it was a dagger type skill scroll and none of them was worthy for learning that. The last was another class card, Trainee and a blank card that could be used to raise a skill feature level or skill level.
And as Yuzu eating her lunch, the two older siblings were discussing who should take the blank card. And after giving it some thought, between scanning enemy, scanning mysterious Item and storing an item. The decision was clear enough, at least for now, since they could survive without any trouble with Lvl 1 Mini-Map, the one that took both of the cards was Ume.

Without thinking about it too much, Ume picked Spellcasting I. And for her level 2 Inspect, she able to detect any item that had Value 20 or lower. And how much this made them happy, as she Inspected every cube, the few things that they found useful were:
4 Lesser Health Potion Lvl 1: Restores 50 Health in 5 seconds. Value: 15
2 Lesser Mana Potion Lvl 1: Restores 25 Mana in 5 seconds. Value: 15

1 Void Neckale: Increase Mana regen by 3. Rarity Uncommon, quality 125. Value: 20.
And the other numerous number of cubes were nothing but equipment and foods. With some consideration of Yuzu''s Inventory limit, they decided not to open another equipment unless they found a better one compared to their former equipment.
And then, after they finished their rest they continued to walk for some amount of distance. And before the sky turned orange, from the corner of their eyes they found a white van surrounded with several tents on its side.
Chapter 9
When the three siblings walked closer, they could see a group of people gathered in a circle in the middle. From body to body they were so tight it was almost the other open space didn''t exist. It was like they were programmed to get as close from one another as possible.
16 dots in total, a married couple with their 11 years old boy, a boss and his subordinate, a grandpa and a grandma, five university students, a foreigner, a 14-year-old girl helping her mother bringing the soup to the other and a cop.
But, no matter who they were, they clearly gave the siblings a hostile glare, their eyes alone was enough to say that they didn''t want the three siblings to join them. Glaring while clenching his mace, with a deep sigh the cop went to the three siblings. "Are you kids wounded?"
(Ah... I see.) Nashi thought as he noticed why they were giving them unfriendly glares. He guessed that was their normal reaction when they saw two people walked toward them with clothes covered in blood and weapons on their hand. Shaking his head, he spoke. "...No, It''s the monster blood."
Some sighed and some saw them with a relief. "So... you kids are a strong one? are you have a strong Feature?" Said the good-looking college student.
"...Can''t say I''m strong, but if it is the goblins or one treant I can kill them." Nashi answered, but inside of his mind right now he was wondered about one word the good-looking college student said. "...And what will you do if we don''t have a strong Feature?" Clenching the mace, he felt the tone on his voice clearly said ''If you guys have useless Feature then don''t join us!''
"Who cares!!! So can we join or not?! If not how about trading?! We have some food but we want clean water and clothes!!" Shouted Ume as she couldn''t take the smell from her own body.
"Yes! We stink!!" Yuzu faithfully followed her sister, shouting while she was throwing her hands up in the air.
And the one that answered their tantrum was Grandma. "Oh my, dear, is it fine for those three poor children to join us?"
The grandpa silently nodded his head. "Just use the water on the drum behind my van, for the clothes you three can use ours."
With sparkly eyes, both of Ume and Yuzu immediately dashed to the direction the grandpa pointed at, with the grandma chuckled from behind and following those two girls. "You''re not joining them, boy?" Asked Grandpa.
Sighed inwardly, if he was alone he would continue to pursue about that matter but considering he was with his sisters. "...There is no way I can take a bath with them." Said Nashi, as he slowly searched for a seat and slowly dropped his mace.
Then he began to scrape the fire stone, collecting the red flakes and taking a cube out. "Ooh..." He muttered when he realized that his guess was a bingo. And as the red flakes slowly entered the cubes and reshaping it from the inside. And when he began to sip another cigarette and wanted to close his tired eyes for a few seconds but two dots slowly moved closer at his direction.
"Hey."
A girly voice interrupting him. He opened his eyes and found the 14 years old girl bringing a bowl of soup as she approached him. And a few steps away from her back was the cop, seemingly wanted to talk with Nashi.
"Hey, do you want some food?"
Without hesitation, he shook his head. "Nay, we have our own food."
Raising her eyebrows, the girl walked away and immediately after she was gone, this time the cop went to him and started to talk. "Kiddo, can I have that?" The cop pointed at his last cigarette.
Although he didn''t want to give it but considering they already gave them a shelter, there was no way he could reject his offer. Half-heartedly, Nashi gave him the last piece of his cigarette and burning it down like the subordinate lighting his boss cigarette. "....Thought you are gonna give me a lecture." Said Nashi.
But the cop only laughed at his words. "Considering you''re the one that having a bloody mace I''ll dare to do that." Said the cop. "Though, aren''t you a little bit too young for smoking? Well, not like I can lecture you though since I kinda do that when I was at your age."
"...Oh."
"Oh, does this old man bother you? Geez, kid nowadays really doesn''t know how to treat an adult." Said the cop as he twirled the smoke away.
"...By the way, where is your destination?"
"Destination? Nah we didn''t have one. First, we heard the north is a safe place, but then we met people from the north running away and saying that south is the safe one. And guess what boy? We''re from the south and that place is a hell on earth."
"...I see, so... you guys are kinda stuck in this place?"
"Seems so." And then the cop laughed as he scratched his own hair. "Anyway that''s my story, so what''s yours?"Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
"...Nothing special, just your ordinary punk that somehow able to escape from the shit hole."
"That''s all? Hm, that''s weird. I think I have seen your face before." Said the cop, rubbing his chin and looking at Nashi as he was a rare specimen. "Then again, I''m kinda old so my brain might be playing a trick on me." He said and followed it with a loud laugh.
And soon enough, the sisters walked back with their new set of a clean shirt. Ume in a wool grey sweater with beige flare pants and Yuzu was wearing a big shirt that acted as a dress. Covering her nose, Ume shouted. "Hurry up and take the bath!! You stink!"
"Stink!!" Said Yuzu as she followed her sister act and words.
Standing up, Nashi only flicked her forehead. "...Stop following your sister." Before he went to the back of the van.
In there he could find several cars, alongside with several iron barrels full of water. Without hesitation he filled a basin and then remove his blood covered shirt, as the cruel cold water touched his skin, he began to groan as he washed it down. His backside was nothing but rashes, even bleeding in places and it extended a little tohis arms and legs. Painful no doubt but he didn''t protest much considering there was nothing he could do about that.
Finishing his bath, he changed with a red flannel shirt and blue jeans, though, it would be better if theshort wasn''t that loose. Sighed, he only thought that beggars couldn''t choose nor ask. At least he felt refreshed after thesticky feeling was gone from his body.
He walked back to the main group and watched the others eating the crystal clear onion soup. As he walked slightly afar from them, both of his sisters already rummaging through the pile of cubes.
"...Yuzu, can you sort it down?" Said Nashi while thinking the way she took something from her Inventory was similar to the panicked blue robot cat.
With a big smile, she only tilted and scratched her head. "Ehehe... sorry."
Sighed, he only said. "...Don''t be, it''s our fault either for not sorting it for you." while he patted her head. "Anyway, what do you find?"
"Vegetable curry, steamed fowl over rice, thick n juicy steak, crispy fish sandwich, oil drizzled steam fish, soft tomato cake, orange cake... by the way... shouldn''t we share a little bit with them?" Ume whispered as she turned her eyes to the group of people thatgloomily drinking the soup.
Rubbing his chin, Nashi thought about it for a while, nodded and whispered back. "...So you''re going to spend 160 points for them?"
"Wait!! You''re not helping me?!"Her shout was enough to make the othersturned their head to them.
Tilted his head, full of sincerity Nashi whispered. "...Why should I? That''s your idea, right? well, I''m going to help you with the old couple, as for the other, good luck."
Then he took two food contained cubes with him, he stood up and continued his words. "Anyway,I don''t mind for you to do that, but remember that our resources is limited."
And he went to the old couple, leaving Ume as she scratched her head in annoyment, groaning and cursing him from the behind. Then as he opening the vegetable curry with the steamed fish contained cubes right in front of everyone eyes and giving it to the old couple.
Just as the different kind of emotions directed to the old couple. "You! How do you do that?" Shouted a man in his business suit.
Scratching his head, lazily Nashi replied. "...Find the cube, kill the monster and use the point to open it."
"Duh, of course, we know about that. What he means is how the hell you can precisely open the one that contains food?" Said his subordinate.
Hearing his words, Nashi felt like he was rewarded right now. Rotating the gear on his brain, there are several possibilities that he could think off.
First, from the way he said it, seemed like they already had several cubes.
Second, they didn''t have anyone that could inspect the cubes. This opened a possibility that some of them already got an ability or a Class.
Third, seemed like they needed the food but they didn''t have that much Point to try and open the cubes.
Knowing several Nashi turned his head to thesubordinate and didn''t even bother to his mischevious grin. "Want us to help you guys?"
SoNashi began making a proposal, inspecting each cube that contained food though there was a condition he wanted to have. As he began to tell and explain his conditions, the businessman only snorted at his proposal. "Brat, don''t make fun of an adult."
Shrugging his shoulder, threatening that they didn''t need a reason to stay. The businessman expression turned grim, yes... no matter how good he was in doing a bargaining, at least for now he could take the control of their bargain. Fully knowingly knew the fact that they needed a food, in the end, the college students and the businessman agreed to his proposal while giving an unpleasant gaze.
Walking to their warehouse, Nashi and Ume found the cubes neatly arranged on top of the table, though.. they only had 12 idle cubes, but maybe because of luck was on their side, Ume eyes were sparkling when she looked at the skill scroll they couldn''t use.
Scroll: Bouncing Arrow Lvl 1.
Requirement: Archery rank II. Follow the instruction.
Status: You aren''t worthy to learn the scroll.
After Ume Inspecting the cubes, all in all, they had 6 cubes that contained food, 2 cubes contained health potion, and the other four was junk. And asthey agreed beforehand, while Ume sorting the cubes with her, Nashi began to take the tent, several clean clothes, the other junk cubes and the skill scroll.
As the orange sky turned dark, while Nashi was building the tent, from out of nowhere Yuzu shouted with her hands clenched. Seemingly she had finished reading and understanding the spellbook.
She ran to her siblings with a big smile plastered on her face. Showing them the spell she had just learnt.

Chapter 10
Almost exactly at midnight, it was Nashi and Ume turn to take the watch alongside with the three colleges guy, the businessman subordinate, and the foreigner. Without nothing much to do or speak to the others, they silently trained and gained quite a few things. For Nashi, it was another Talent in Mace Weapon Mastery, raising it to the rank 2. While Ume, rather than got a Talent, she finally able to learn Bouncing Arrow Lvl 1.

Fires an arrow that bounces off from the target and hit another target. Deal 1 + Power to the main target and 3/4 damage to the other target. |
In Nashi''s mind, the skill looked useless. First, the damage plus itself wasn''t that great and it didn''t have much utility either. Though, compared to himan excitement was shown on Ume''s face.
With a grin, she began to shot an arrow into the nearby trees, hitting it off and the arrow gracefully deflected to another tree but... what came out was a loud shout. The other''s eyes widened in a surprise, especially the subordinate, he jumped out of his post and became the last one that turned his flashlight to the trees.
Though, for the siblings, they frowned their eyebrows as they watched the trees wildly danced. The familiarscreeching that was embedded into their mind, a sweat didn''t even feel from their forehead as they watched the numerous amount of goblins jumped out of the trees. Sadly, the goblins weren''t the reason they frowned their eyebrows.
What bothered them was the goblins itself supposedly couldn''t create that much of a shaking, unless they moved in massive number. With a bell echoed through the night, waking up everyone else. Nashi only muttered in the middle of that noise, carefully counting the numbergreen dots that entered the corner of his Mini-Map, "...8...27...39." And the number kept going bigger and bigger even though Ume had repeatedly used FireBolt and shot her arrows.
On their back, 3 college guy, the foreigner, thesubordinate and the cops began to equip their arms and started making a formation, while on the back the grandpa was evacuating the others that couldn''t fight, including Yuzu.
But much to their surprise, Nashi charged alone to the sea of goblins. Clenching the mace with five goblin bombs on his satchel, he opened his assault by pulling the pin with his mouth, as the black goblin''s head shaped bomb eyes shone in fiery red, signalling the fuse its off. He threw the bombto the group of goblins.
The moment the bomb touched the ground, there was no fiery ball of flame or a heat. instead, it cracked, making a loud noise and creating an invisible blast that pushed the wind against his face, along with several goblins body parts and their stink blood.
The rest was their usual strategy, using Intimidation to paralyze the goblins in front of Nashi. As the metal mace bashing against the goblin heads, several goblins that he didn''t enter his Intimidation range began to circle around at his back but only greeted by an arrow that pierced their body.
Others were dumbfounded by the way they fought, clumsy and stiff. Nashi only swung the metal mace while sometimes kicking and punching. One could tell with a glance that he never learnt a martial art yet, his efficiency and his brute power clearly shown the result as the number of goblins gradually decreased.
Meanwhile, on his back, Ume''s pulled the string rightbelow her chin with her right index pointing outward as if it another arrow. As her arrow pierced another goblin, she already nocked another arrow and without even aiming itanother arrow was released and using her index to shot a firebolt if she needed to react fact.
Following their lead, the others broke their formation, hoping that they could exterminate the assault without abandoning their post.
But, much to their surprise. Nashi''s technique point dropped to zero, and so did his Intimidation. As the goblins finally started to fight back, throwing rocks and swinging their weapons, indicating the start of their assault. Noticing this, without hesitation, he took the attacks and countered while they were off guard a series of notifications came to him.
Unarmed Combat Mastery is now rank II. +2 Damage when punching/kicking/headbutting.
Bite is now rank II. +4 Damage when biting.
Bludgeon Weapon Mastery is now rank IV. +10 Damage when attacking with a bludgeon-type weapon.
Ignoring the notifications while continued his strike, only stopping to block and avoid some of the attacks that directed in his head, chest or groin. While the rest of the attack he deemed as non-fatal and chose to withstood the damage while attacking another goblin.
As the goblin brains scattered on the ground, their organ pierced by an arrow, on a rare occasion their head would fly away. In the sea of blood, innard, scream and arrows. Nashi weirded out by the fact that usually, the goblins would run away when they already reached this stage but this time, their barked and their blood-crazed eyes wasn''t shown any signs of retreating.
And what he thought of was right, from the trees, rather than another goblin or named goblin. A creature stood 5-feet tall, with its muscular green skin,it peered with tiny, observant red eyes at Nashi. As it shoved its longsword forward with a big grin on its face like it wanted to challenge Nashi.
Following thegreen creature order, the surrounded goblins moved out of their way, focusing on the other survivors but what met them was 5-kilogram mace, breaking the skull away from the back of their heads.
"Gii!!!"
Furious, along with its scream the green creature started to charge at him while the other goblins started to gather at Nashi''s side. As the other survivor seeing the goblin broke their encirclement, they began to retreat while collecting the cubes in the process.
"Where are you going?!" Shouted the cop, the only one that kept slashing the goblins with his machete.
Clicking her tongue, Ume let them did whatever they wanted to do... for now, as she continued to shot an arrow, covering her brother''s open back.
And as the green creature moved closer toward Nashi the clearer its name was. Lvl 8 HobGoblin Fighter. With its blood covered longsword on its side, readied to do a right slash, what met the hobgoblin in its way wasa goblin bomb. Blasting away several goblins near it and destroying the right side of its stomach alongside with its right arm.
"Tch, annoying." Said Nashi when he saw the hobgoblin still continuing its charging without even stopping for a second.
But too bothered by the number of goblins that surrounded him, what Nashi did was throwing another goblin bomb, blasted a big chunk of meat away from hobgoblin left thigh and another one, widening the wound on its stomach up until its chest. And as the liquid of life poured down from his gapped stomach, the hobgoblin fell dead into its knees. Alongside with this was a notification telling him that Thug reached level 3.
The next part was exterminating as many goblins as they began to run with their tail between their legs. After several minutes, seeing that all of the goblins already escaped, feeling nothing worth would come out even if he chasing them. Nashi wiped the blood away from his face, casually sat in the pile of goblin corpses and began to open his Class.

Considering if the big baddy was too much for them to handle, rather than raising Ume or Yuzu movement speed, it was better for him to slow down the threat. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Alongside with the new spell, another revelation about status came into his mind. Considering that the only status thegot affected 3 as its variable was Soul, his best guess was Break increasing debuff effectiveness and duration. And it was safe to assume that Boost increasing buff effectiveness and duration? Though itseemed like Boost also increased the ability range.
Though, with his maximum Mana in Thug 3, the best he could do was cast it once before he must wait for another hour. "But four second cast time huh..." Nashi muttered as he rubbed his chin. Then right after he muttered that Ume came showing off the level 2 from her Trainee. Alongside with her Spellcasting raised to rank II, Archery rank IV and Bow Mastery rank III

Spellcasting is now Rank III. +5 Damage when casting a spell.
After the allocation was done, being helped by the cop they spread and collected the items for quite an amount of time. in the end, they got: 37 cubes, 16 coins, 2 health orb, 1 mana orb, 1 technique orb, 1 spellbook and craft recipe and the last one 1 upgrade card.
"...Huh? Are you sure you two have checked every spot?" Said Nashi as he looked to annoyed Ume and the cop.
"Well~ Considering the others were running away with that many drops, I guess that''s all we get." Said Ume as she began to tell what happened and directed her gaze to the group of college students seeminglytried to run away as they began to take their things out of their car but decided not to do that once they saw they were in winning side, then the duo businessman and the loner foreigner.
"Okay..." Said Nashi. Not like he could blame them for trying to run away. Still, he realized he did steal from the biker back when they ran from the city but considering the circumstances if he let them this time, they would 100% did the same thing.
There was a saying that children should treat their elder. Clenching his mace, he walked to those group of people and with a smile on his face. "Oi~"
"What?" Answered the handsome college student, while he tried to cover somethingin his car with a blanket.
But what arrived right at his face was Nashi''s mace, blood spurted from his mouth and few amounts of his tooths flew into the air, without saying any words, he only took the last bomb from his satchel and in a cold tone, he said while stomping the handsome or not too handsome college student face. "I believe you guys are taking too many things."
Already clenching his weapon, one of his friends wanted to reply Nashi but got stopped by the blue-haired women in their group. "...Sorry, we''ll give it back... but we already used some of the coins." She said as she opened the blanket and showing a massive amount of cubes with a skill scroll.
(...used some my ass, there''s no coin or orb left behind.)
As he put the bomb back into his satchel, he took the cubes away with him and gave another kick to the handsome man stomach.
What followed was the foreigner silently giving the items back to him. Another 16 cubes, 5 coins. For the businessman duo, they gave him all 28 cubes they took without any coin or orb. Though like a pinata when Nashi silently smashed their chair with a single hit, he got the rest of their unused 4 coins.
In the end, after collecting everything from the others, he gave the grandpa etc 1 health orb and 7 coins. And considering the cop pretty much chose to help them rather than running while collecting the items, the rest of the items got split away with him, and while sorting the items that was the first time they knew the name of someone from this group, in this case, the cop name was Mori Samba.
As they didn''t care much about how Samba distributing his status, Nashi raised his defence, perception, presence, break and casting speed each by 1, alongside with mana orb.
While Ume raised her precision by 2, 1 for speed, and 1 amplified along with the Spellbook and the technique orb.
As for Yuzu, it was 1 defence, 1 reaction, 1 resistance, 1 willpower, the health orb and the Craft recipe.
While Mori took 2 power, 1 speed, 2 perception and the Skill scroll.
In the end, the two college guys, minus the handsome one and the businessman duo was the one that needed to throw the goblin''s bodies away from their camp. With the other two college girls and the foreigner as the one that took the watch duty.

Chapter 11
Long before the sun arose, Nashi''s eyes already wide opened. Although he didn''t want that, he needed to keep making the goblin bomb. With its cooldown time and the crafting time including the success chance, the best he could make per day, including his sleeping time was 13.
While patiently waiting for the cube turned into a bomb, between continuing his sleep or training, Nashi chose the latter. He went to the outside with a mace in his hand, swinging it around whiledoing a different kind of battle simulation in his mind.
Kicking the ground as if the small green goblins were standing in front of him. A front kick as if the hobgoblin was charging at him, followed by elbow strike into its back, grabbing its ear and slamming his face to the ground. And lastly throwing the stone as if it was a bomb.
Maybe it was because the sound of stones hitting the tree, or the sound of metalmaking contact with the wind, or the foul smell from the blood-stained blood or the group always woke this early. In the end, as the warm sun ray stroke his skin, the others began to step out of their tents.
Some were making the breakfast, some were opening the cubes, and Mori silently walked toward Nashi. "Boy, we need to talk."
(Is it because of the last night incident?) In his defence, they were free to try and steal the cubes from him as long as he didn''t know it. Though, hitting the college guy might be a wrong thing, considering he was the stranger and the college one was the one that already lingered with them. At least he thought he did the necessary thing.
Exclusion? getting kicked out? or what? As he walked toward the serious-looking people. The grandpa, the foreigner, the thin father, the long-haired mother, one of the college student, the foreigner and two businessmen were watching him as he took a seat. A lot of possibilitieswere circling around in his mind right now but much to his surprise, it wasn''t anything like that.
"Should we move into another spot?" Said the thin father. Kaiba, pointy cheekbone, deep eye bags on his eyes with the sign of baldness in hiscurly hair.
"But this is the best spot, we have a water supply, and it is located near the crossroad. Just wait for a few more days and the help will surely come!" Said the businessmen subordinate. Honda. Glasses, hair like the reverse bowl and mole on his chin.
Snorted, Yuya the spiky green coloured-hair college student said. "Puhlease~ What help? this is already the fourth day and we barely see anyone crossed this road."
With the distressed look, the grandpa groaned while holding his head. "Yuya is right, moreover from my experience, the smell itself can attract more beast to come into this location."
"So what? We''re going to ditch this spot? I don''t know about you stupid people but I am not going to leave this spot." Said the businessmen boss. Manzo with his beer belly, thick lips, oily face and hair like a doughnut. Once again he spoke as his spit flying out of his mouth. "And why should we care about those things? aren''t we have that brat with us?" Manzo said with his finger pointed toward Nashi.
The long curly hair mother, Ritsuko frowned at Manzo''s words. "You''re telling a child to fight against those monsters? Pathetic coward. And if I am not wrong, weren''t you trying to run away last night?"
Startled, Manzo only gulped his saliva as his face turned red. "Huh?! What do you know about that woman?! I was planning to use the car and ramming them with it."
With a deep sigh, Mori stood and shouted at him. "Helping him? As far as I know, I only saw you running away while gathering the cubes, heck, you barely useful in this group."
This time Manzo turned his head toward Mori, the anger first showed in his eyes, then a tension of his muscles and his fist clenched on his side.
Near on their side, feeling the tension the dark-skinned bald foreigner, Sam opened his mouth. "Gentlemen, aren''t our topic is a bit off the mark?"
Scratching his head, as Nashi was staring at Manzo, thinking that even Yuzu wouldn''t buy his lie. Suddenly his brain jolted as he just realized something, raising his hand he said. "...Why don''t we just split up?"
But the only response that he got was a loud laughcompleted with a spits flying out of Manzo''s mouth."Gahaha!! Split up you say? This is why you should just kill those things and left the decision making to- ack."
Couldn''t even finish his word, Nashi already used Intimidation, glaring at him as he was enjoying his time watching Manzo having a hard time to breathe with his shaky hands. "...So my opinion isn''t important, right? Anyway, I don''t like you and there''s no need for me to listen to your word, PIG." He said before he slowly stood andturned off the Intimidation but got stopped by Mori.
"As much I hate this, I actually have the same ideain my mind. The problem is where should we go? North?" Said Mori.Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel.
Shaking his head, "...No, it is a danger area." Said Nashi.
Hearing the word danger area, the others only raised their eyebrows as the reply. Scratching his head, Nashi briefly explained about the area difference, how the geography shifted and everything else.
"Wait! Are you saying that less in the three days the horde of monsters will be coming to us?!" Honda''s shout echoed throughout the whole camp, loud enough to gather everybody attention to their spot.
"...It''s not my word, anyway that''s all I know about the whole thing." Nashi said before he walked his way out of the group.
Walked to his sisters, slowly he sat down while thinking the number of people he already antagonized in his group. First, it was the college group, although he somehow realized that not every member of their group were thinking bad of him, and the second one was Manzo.
Clicking his tongue, regretting why didn''t he just lay a punch on his face, he continued his training, raising his Slash Weapon Mastery and Throwing Weapon Mastery into rank II and IV.
And what followed the notification was Mori, walking toward his direction. "The decision has been made."
Then he gathered the attention of the others, as they silently watched, grandpa was standing and explaining their decision like a headmaster doing orientation for new students, it was a long explanation and full of reasoning but in the end the decision was moving the camp but before that they needed to scout the new area before the others that couldn''t fight followed them.
"For anyone that wants to volunteer, please raise your hand." Said grandpa.
And it didn''t much of a surprise for seeing only three people raising their hands. Mori, Sam and Yuya.
"You''re not going?" Ume whispered as she watched the three sacrificial lambs.
"...Is there any reason for us?" Nashi answered, thinking it wasn''t a necessary action. In his mind, even if things turned to shit in their current spot, he was sure enough he could manage to run away with his sisters.
Silently Ume pointed at Yuzu and whispered. "She seems to enjoy her times in this group. Well, whatever if you don''t want to go then I''ll go."
As she tried to raise her hand, with a big sigh Nashi held it down. "...No, you can''t go, it''s too dangerous."
"Hmph, listen they have a better chance if I go with them and why should I listen to your words?" Ume said as she brushed Nashi''s hand.
But much to her surprise, just before she raised her hand, her brother already raised his. "...Happy? Now just put your hand down and stay, someone needs to take care of her. Anyway if things go bad just take her away and leave the other behind."
Though Ume only answered by clicking her tongue. "Shit, now I get stuck with them." she muttered in a low voice.
Unknowingly to her, Nashi''s eyes were wide opened when he heard about her reason. (...Indeed, somehow I don''t trust the leftover either.)
After thinking for a while, he raised his hand and shouted to attract others attention. "Wait~ Now that I think about this, why should we put ourselves in a danger?"
Shrugging his shoulder, the grandpa answered to him. "It''s fine if you want to bail out from this."
"Nay~ That''s not what I mean, I mean it just not fair right? while the four of us working our ass to scout the safe location. SOME people in here will sit HIS ass down while waiting for our result? No, I know some should stay to protect the camp, but don''t you think... maybe~ just maybe~ like I don''t know, we should''ve more member? like I don''t know, two more people."
Stopping at his word, he looked to Manzo. "Oi, fatso, didn''t you say you wanted to HELP me last night? why don''t you help us now?"
Snorted, Manzo only replied to Nashi. "Hah! I don''t even agree with this decision and brat, don''t you parent ever teach you about addressing someone older than you?"
"They did, I''m just not a good kid. Anyway, if you do not agree with this decision then I''ll make sure to break your legs once we will move into another spot." Nashi crackled his fingers, as he said his sentence in monotone but his eyes clearly glared at Manzo, prepared to even break his legs if he didn''t want to join with them.
Gulping his saliva down, even without using Intimidation his hands already shook. And before Manzosaid another word or ordered his subordinate. The blue ponytail hair girl from the college group raised her hand. "Indeed, it is unfair if they''re the only one that risks their life. Can I join?"
Shrugged his shoulder. "Of course, well whatever, it seems like the big sister over there is more manly than you. heck, I bet yours is far smaller than her pinky finger." Albeit he wanted to clearly state what the thing was, but considering there were three children listening to his words, especially one of them was his five-year-old sister. But it seemed his words hit the bullseye as a vein throbbed in Manzo forehead.
"You have some problem with me huh brat?! why don''t you ask someone else?!" He shouted as he stood. "Heck, don''t you know someone else needs to protect the camp?! I volunteer myself for that duty! Oi! Honda! Go join the volunteer group!" but what followed was the cold intimidating glare coming from Nashi''s eyes.
As Manzo dropped into his knees. "...Didn''t I already mention about that? and don''t worry, Ume can take your place in protecting the camp. And who else I should ask? Kaiba and Ritsuko? or maybe the grandpa? they have family they need to protect, ah~ maybe I should ask their child instead?"
Slowly he walked to Manzo, releasing his intimidation and giving him friendly smile. "Anyway, yes, somehow I just don''t like you, don''t ask me why, maybe~ because you''re trying to steal and ditch this group? or maybe~ because you''re thinking that you can order me around?"
Groaning, Manzo shouted. "Oi! Honda! Go with them!"
Disgusted or annoyed wasn''t the best description for Nashi''s feeling right now, but before he could say any word grandpa cut his conversation off. "...Manzo, Honda is younger and physically stronger than you, we need him to protect the camp. And Nashi, if he doesn''t want to go you can''t force him."
Shrugged his shoulder, the coldness in Nashi''s eyes slowly gone. "...Whatever, but don''t stop me for breaking his legs down if he wants to follow us into our new spot. In fact, why don''t I just break it right now?" Said Nashi casually, but maybe because Manzo felt intimidated by his words, finally he agreed to join the volunteer group.
Chuckled a little bit, it was funny for Nashi to see him he could intimidate an adult like this. But as the heavy atmosphere lingered on the camp, once again Nashi remembered that this wasn''t the same Earth it used to be.
