《The Undead Dungeon》 Prologue - Another Accident Adam wondered how things could get this bizarre. *2 hours ago* Adam woke up not because he wants to but because he has to. If he didn''t turn off his alarm that''s currently blaring Darude - Sandstorm he might break his phone. After brushing his teeth and taking a shower. Adam looks for any clean clothes that he could wear in this mess that he calls his room. The room is filled with zombie poster lining the wall, dirty clothes and trash in plastic littered the floor. He made a note to clean his room and go to the laundry after finishing today''s classes. Finally after finding clean black jeans and a "brain is nutritious" t-shirt he is ready for college. Looking at his phone he saw that he stillhas 15 minutes before the class starts so he decided to go to a convenience store to buy an energy bar so that he can get through the day. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. It''s a good thing that he lives in the college dorm or hewould be late for his class every day. Since the dorm is near the college he can stay up all night playing DOTA 2 and still make it to class in the morning. After he bought his energy bar he is ready for class. On the way to class, he saw some kids playing football near the street. He saw one boy kicking the ball too hard and it landed in the street, the boy''s friend is mad at him for kicking to hard and ask him to grab the ball. The boy is to absorbon the ball and didn''t notice a truck coming from behind him. Adam jumped to push the boy from the oncoming truck. The moment Adam jumped time seems to slow down he saw the boy being pushed out of the street and then he saw the truck driver a man wearing a suit and a truck driver cap with a huge smile on his face. The moment the truck hit Adam he flew a few meters before rolling and then stopping. The last thing Adam saw was the sky before everything turn black. At 7:15 Adam Connor left this earth. Chapter 1 - A Second Chance When I open my eyes, the first thing I saw was a white wall with a sign that read "you are dead we will be with you in a moment". I can''t be dead I was walking to college and then... blank I don''t remember. When I look around the room, I saw a woman with black hair and blue eyes wearing a suit with a bored expression looking at her computer. I walked up to her and ask her. "Excuse me Ms can you tell where I am ?" She looked at me with a disinterested expression before she put on her business smile and answer my question "Welcome to the afterlife my name is Alice I''m an assistant to the boss that work in this building". "The afterlife but I''m not dead how come I''m here?" said Adam. "It''s very common for people to forget how they died, it''s a defense mechanism to suppress trauma. Which is why we record your death so that you can accept and cope with being dead" said Alice. She showed me a film of how I died and with that the memory of how I died came back to me how I tried to save a kid from an oncoming truck before I was hit by the truck and the feeling of cold asphalt and the face of the smiling lunatic that hit me. Alice continued "Mr. Connor usually when people died they are either send to heaven or hell but since my bosshas taken an interest in you he would like to give you a second chance, are you interested?". I said yes.If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. "Boss your 8 o''clock meeting is here," said Alice through the intercom. "Let him in," said the boss. "Just go through that door and you''ll meet my boss," Alice said to me. When I go through the door and see the boss for the first time I immediately yell "You''re the asshole that hit me with your truck". There he is the asshole that killed, he still has that stupid smile on his face. "Mr. Connor, don''t you think it''s rude to call a god an asshole?" said God. "Rude is when you hit someone with a truck and I don''t remember God being an office worker," said Adam. "I am a God Mr. Connor, not THE GOD I am Dominus God of Dungeons pleased to meet you," said Dominus. "Wish I can say the same, what do you want with me and why did you kill me?" question Adam. "I am looking for interesting people from around the earth to create dungeons never before seen in a world called Mondo. You are one of the people that I have chosen to become a dungeon and you will die in construction accident a few months from now I just fast forward the process, isn''t it nice dying to save a kid" Dominus explained. "So you''re telling me I was going to die? Why should I believe you?" asked Adam. "You shouldn''t believe me, rather than trust let''s have a beneficial agreement. I will give you a second chance at life if you are willing to become a dungeon. Also, remember if you don''t take this opportunity it is not a certainty that you will go to heaven at least this way you will get to live. So would you like to make a soul contract with me?" Dominus asked with a dangerous glint in his eyes. I accept I said as I shake his hand. "Good an assistant will tell you everything you need to know about being a dungeon" and with that, everything turns black again. *Door Open* "You know he is going to pick the undead dungeon right?" said Alice. "I know," said Dominus. "He will either die 5 minutes after being found or he will destroy the world," said Alice. "Well at least it will be an interesting thing to watch," said Dominus with a huge smile on his face. "He was right you are an asshole," said Alice before quickly closing the door. Chapter 2 - Obligatory Tutorial When I woke up again, I found myself looking at a wall again. Starting to get bored of looking at walls why can''t that God of Truck Driver drop me off at someplace nice like a graveyard or something. So this is Mondo this world seems really cramped. After looking around the room that I presume to be my dungeon I found that this place is fucking small. This dungeon is a 10x10ft room with nothing in here but me and that orb in the middle of the room. Rather than a room, I should call this place a cave with stalagmite on the ceiling and rocky uneven groundfilling up the place. Looking closely at the orb since it''s the only thing here other than rocks, it looks like a shiny black pearl with blood red lights inside of if that seems to pulsate like a heart. It is beautiful. What is it anyway, when I try to touch it my hand pass through it. Now that I look at my hand and body it looks blue and transparent does that mean I''m a ghost? Neat. Ok, enough fooling around Dominus said that I have an assistant that''ll explain to me the basic about the dungeon. "Mr assistant where are you?" I yelled.
Hello, I am Menu 3.0 how can I be of service to you, Dungeon Master?
"You are a talking blue box, I was expecting a fairy."
That was Menu 2.0, they were replaced because of the annoying and happy go lucky attitude did not fit too much with dungeon which resulted in them getting eaten, killed and overall ignored by their dungeon master.
"Wow, that''s dark. Anyway, I want to ask you some things about dungeons, What is a dungeon in this world?"
Dungeons are places that have accumulated mana for a long time, the mana in the area then condenses into a crystal, gem or orb. This crystal then will be able to control the mana in its area of influence to change the area terrain, create monsters and traps also treasure. Examples of places where dungeons might spawn: Monster Nest, High Mana Density Places, Where Dominus Find Interesting.
When I looked at the last sentence I don''t know if I should laugh or cry that God is really irresponsible. Well not that it concerns me anyway. I just got make the best out of what I have. "What is the purpose of a dungeon?"
I don''t know
"What do you mean you don''t know? I thought you were supposed to know the basic about dungeons."
Can you tell me the purpose of a human? The Dungeon God said that as long as you create an interesting dungeon I won''t bother you. Do as you like. It is your dungeon create things that I can never imagine.
That guy can say good things when it counts maybe I should change my opinion of him from a giant asshole to a small asshole. "Ok then, so how do you build monsters, traps, and treasures?" I said getting motivated to make this dungeon. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.
Before you start making your dungeon you must first choose the starting monster for your dungeon. Here is the list of starting monster and their information.
Goblin Goblin is small humanoid monsters with the strength and intelligence of a child. They are very adaptive to their environment and reproduce like rabbits. Their downside is that they are treated as pests so when goblin dungeons are found they''ll besubjugated regularly.
"Goblins are too mainstream and boring. Next"
Kobold Kobold is a bipedal monster with a lizard-likefeature with the strength of an adult male. They have very sharp teeth and claw that can bite and tear through flesh. Their downside is that like goblins they are treated as pests so whenkobold dungeons are found they''ll besubjugated regularly, they also lack the adaptability and reproductive strength of goblins.
"They are also plain and boring. Next"
Slime Slime is a slimy blob of goo that binds together by a core. They are acidic, can survive in any environment and have high resistant to physical attack. Their downside is that they have low resistant to magical attack, easily killed in their early stages and needs a lot of mana and time before they are useful.
"Nope, this isn''t a novel I''ll die in 5 minutes when people discover me if I choose slime as my starting monster. Next."
Mushroom Mushroom is a monster andfungus at the same time it is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus. They are very diverse with many different species to choose from, small cost to create and maintain. Their downside is that they are fixed in their position, easily killed in their early stages and need time before they are useful.
"Don''t pick this one" "Menu did you hear a girl whisper don''t pick this one?"
No.
"Ok then, since I believe in ghost and there are probably real ghosts in this world andshehas warned not to picked this so I won''t pick this one. Next"
Undead Undead is a monster created by former beings who have died and become trapped between life and death. They are very diverse with many different species to choose from, can spread their virus to other beings. Their downside is that they have low intelligence, they are treated as evil by most intelligent species and they are hated by the Church of the Sun God and will be exterminated when an undead dungeon is found.
I suggest you don''t pick Undead because when we get discovered we will definitely get exterminated. Dungeon already has ...
Before Menu can even finish his sentence I already press Undead as my starting monster.
Congratulations you have chosen Undead as your starting monster.
Shit. We''re screwed.
Chapter 3 - Open For Business "Now that we''ve chosen our starting monster there is an important thing that we must do Menu," I said Menu smiling like an idiot because I got to choose Undead as my starting monster.
First of all, we didn''t choose Undead as the starting monster you did. Second, you are right there is an important thing that we must do write our will and wait for our doom...OUR GROTESQUE INEVITABLE DOOM by the Church of the Sun God.
"Relax Menu that means we just have to be strong enough to repel them," I said to Menu to reassure him that we will be okay.
You are right. Sorry for yelling at you. You are there is an important thing that we must do it''s to build an entrance to the dungeon.
"Oh yeah, that too also the other important thing that we must do is give you a name"
A name?
"Yeah, it feels wrong to just call you Menu or Assistant let''s give you a proper name. From now on you are Mike Stanley the Third, Mike for short. What do you think?"
Mike, I like it. I thought you were going to give me a generic butler name like Alfred or Sebastian.
"There is no way I would I give you a butler name haha. Anyway, how do I make an entrance to the dungeon" I said trying to change the subject.
Just think of the word Status and from there you can select the Construction category and then just choose the Entrance option.
"Ok sounds easy enough. Status."

Entrance: 20 mana (One Time Purchase)If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. Room (20x20ft): 20 mana Corridor (30ft): 10 mana Graveyard: 20 mana
After clicking the Entrance option a holographic projection appears from the east wall that seems to lead to the outside. It looks like that I can edit the projection to a certain degree. I made the ground uneven to mess with peoples footing I also made stalagmite to impede their vision and I made the width of the entrance to 1 meter to hinder with swords and a bladed weapon. It looks like I can also extend the entrance and enlarge it but it takes extra mana so I won''t do it. After checking the projection I finalized my decision and then the Entrance finally formed. Since I don''t want to have only an entrance that leads directly to my core I built a room in front of the core room. After that, I create a corridor between the room and the core room I edit the corridor so that it will curve to the right so that I can prepare trap or ambush later.
Graveyard A graveyard is a resting place for undeadmonsters. It provided undead monsters with comfort and relaxation. Provided healing to undead monsters. Regenerate broken or missing body parts. Create a calm environment for undeadmonsters. Instill fear inliving beings. (Small Chance)
This seems like it will be useful and it would help my lovely undead monsters. I built the graveyard in the empty room. Now it''s finally time for something I have been waitingfor. Let''s create an undead. Checking the Monster category.
Monster
Zombie: 10 mana Skeleton: 10 mana Spirit: 15 mana
Since skeleton would all look the same I will pick it later, I don''t know much about spirit, so let''s go with something I know the best, zombie it is. I want to see if there will be differences between zombie or not. I''m gonna create 3 to see if they''re different or not. The moment I create the 3 zombies I saw a blue text box.
Mana Depleted. Turn To Standby Mode.
"Shit not again." Again everything turns black. Spoiler: Dungeon Map Chapter 4 - Undeads Worst Friend
Rise and Shine, Adam.
"Mike can you keep your voice down my head feels like it''s been hit by a truck," I said while messaging my head. "How long was I out and why did I faint?"
You''ve been asleep for 2 days. The reason you fainted because before I got the chance to explain how mana works and to warn you not to use it all, you were already on a shopping spree.
"Ok next time warn me faster, now let''s meet my lovely zombie where are they?" I asked while looking around trying to find them.
They are currently sleeping, they are the reason that you woke up so early. I told the zombies to gather anything in the area then bring that inside the dungeon so that it could be absorbed for mana.
"Well, they deserved to rest after helping me recuperate. Do they even need to rest since they''re undead?" "It doesn''t matter since I''m more interested in what they bring from the outside, what did they bring?" I asked rather curious of what they found.
Based on what they found we are currently inside a forest. Here is a list of what the zombies found in the area.

"Wow, I''m impressed they are able to kill a deer, look at all this mana I can make some new things with this and why are plants and mushroom put in loot?"
Since plants are useful things for adventurersor roaming animals so they areadded in loot under plants subcategory. Also, those animals are added in monster under animal subcategories. Before you ask why didn''t see any subcategories before when you open your monster category that''s because you didn''t ask me before spending your mana.
"Ok that answers my question and you are right I was going to ask about those subcategories. I''m sorry for spending mana without listening to your explanation first, but next time show me the subcategories. Now let''sadd animals to this dungeon, Status."

After looking at the animals I decided to put bats, spiders, and rats in the graveyard room. Around a dozen bats, spiders, and rats spawn into the room. I also check the Loot category and there I decided to purchase dead trees for 1 mana then I placed them in the graveyard room. Now, this room feels perfect.
Graveyard A graveyard is a resting place for undeadmonsters. It provided undead monsters with comfort and relaxation. It also creates a dreaded atmosphere for living beings. "Neat, I got an upgrade for the Graveyard room." "Mike can you please tell the zombies to meet me in the core room"
Ok, Adam.
After that, the three zombies come to the core room. When they arrived at the core room the first they do is bowat my core says "Mas...ter, Master, *clack* *clack*". It looks so fucking cool, wait I need to focus don''t get distracted by the bowing zombies. "For your hard work in defending and getting me mana while I was sleeping, I will give you a reward by giving you a special name," I said to them proudly. They look at me with a twinkle in their eyes. I look at them one by one from left to right. The one on the left looks like a dwarf, he is around 160 cm he has a pot belly and a bushy beard. He looks like he is sleep deprived and has a resting bitch face. The most notable thing about him is that he is bald and his brain is hanging out it looks like a bear took a bite out of his right side skull. "I will name you Butch". The one in the middle looks like a poster child for zombies, he is around180 cm he has a sunken face and black hair. He doesn''t have eyes or nose but he still has some skin on his face. There are bones showing in his left hand and right middle finger. "I will name you Frank". The one on right looks like a beautiful woman, she is around 176 cm she has a white unblemished face golden blonde hair and sea blue eyes. You can''t tell that she was a zombie if for the fact where her mouth and chest should be there are only bones. It looks like she can''t talk because she doesn''t have a voice box. The rest of her body is also perfect white skin. "I will name you Helen". They all look so happy that I have given them names looking at them once again I saw that they are only wearing brown rags maybe I should also give them clothes. While I was contemplating on giving them clothes a screen pop-up in front of me, it showed a pack of wolves coming into the dungeon. "Looks like we have company," I said with a smile. Spoiler: Dungeon Map Chapter 5 - First Battle When the pack of wolves enters mydungeon 3 screen pop-up in front of me. The first one shows me where the wolves are located, the second one shows me the Graveyard room and the third one shows me my core room. "Mike what are these screen popping up in front me?".
Since enemies have entered the dungeon we are now in battle mode. Those three screens represent the enemy location, enemy possible destination and your dungeon core from left to right respectively. Do you any plan in defeating them?
"I have a plan, I don''t know if it''s a good plan but a plan nonetheless." I look at the zombies status for more information in helping me in beating the pack of wolves.

Zombie Virus I
Passive Skill Level: MAX
A living being that is scratch, bitten or received fluid contact on open wounds will have a small chance of contracting the zombie virus and turn into a zombie.
Limit Break
Passive Skill Level: MAX
As a zombie, Helen doesn''t feel pain and fatigue. She is able to overcome humans strength by using 100%of her muscles power and also strain her body to her utmost limit.
"Gather around, here is the plan."It looks like Helen, Butch, and Frank all have the same status. With the Limit Break skill, this will be easier than I thought. The pack of wolves waslooking for shelter and a place to rest when they felt the high concentrated mana area near them. There they found a cave and since it''s nighttime they decided towent in. When the pack went through the corridor and arrived at the Graveyard they felt fear but they cannot turn back because at night predator like them can turn into prey in the forest. When the wolves arrived in the middle of the room they saw a girl. They quickly surround the girl trying to be careful around her. She smells of fear but also death. They began growling at the girl and then starting to claw at her. The girl then fell down and that''s when they strike they all charge toward the girl. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. But when they got close to the girl she began biting the alpha wolf before suddenly two men burst out from the ground. One man with great speed and strength snap hismate neck while the other held his two wolf cub by the head before slamming them to the ground before the alpha wolf even gets a chance to retaliate the girl ripped his intestines. The last thing he saw was his dead mate and his scared wolf cub.

1 Alpha Wolf: 20 mana 1 Adult Wolf: 15 mana 2 Wolf Cub: 20 mana
Wow, the plan actually worked. I don''t know if I should be sad or happy on one hand my action just caused the deathof innocent animals on the other Frank just snapped a fricking wolf neck. Helen''s acting was phenomenal because of her we caught the wolves unprepared. Let''s just be happy since I got all that mana. "Good job guys, go rest now you deserved it," I told them.
Prerequisites met. Death Hound unlocked (Added to Monster)
"Cool, I''m guessing the prerequisites was either killing a wolf or killing an alpha wolf, either way, I got a new monster." "Mike, can you tell me how much mana do I have?"
You currently have 71 Mana Adam.
"Thanks, Mike." Time to get to work now that I have enough mana I can start building a new room. I put the new room where the core room used to be I made the ceiling to be spacious and the ground made out of grass and dirt, then I create a corridor on the right side of the new room and make the corridor turn left and then right before it connect to the core room. All of this took 30 Mana to make and I still need to add monster and decoration to the new room. I check the Loot category for plants to put in the new room.
Loot
Plants Apple Trees: 2 Mana Hazelnut Trees: 2 Mana Oak Trees: 2 Mana Blackberry Shrub: 1 Mana Magnolia:1 Mana Treasure Gold Coins: 1 Mana Gems: 1 Mana
Wow, the fact that apple trees take more mana to make rather than gems was interesting. That''s probably because the value of gems is different in the eyes of dungeons and people. I decided to buy everything in the plant category and also buy frogs, birds, insects, and deers for a total of20 Mana. The trees, flowers, shrubbery, and animals began spawning in the room. I also purchased a Death Hound for 10 Mana and put it in the new room. The Death Hound looks really menacing it has sharp claws and teeth. It has no fur whatsoever rather it has a thick hide and no nose only the nasal bone. The most interesting thing to me is that he has red eyes. After finishing purchasing everything I need for the room a screen pop-up in front of me. "That''s the perfect name for this room," I said while laughing. Spoiler: Dungeon Map Chapter 6 - Infection Forest And Experiments
Infection Forest The room looks exactly like a regular forest. But everything that lives here whether it is the plants or animals they all possess the zombie virus. The zombie virus can also spread by air or water transmission. Infection of the zombie virus through airborne transmission. (Small Chance) Infection of the zombie virus through ingestion. (Medium Chance)
"A forest that can turn people into zombies this will be really useful later when more people come to this place." I still need to do experiments and more information about dungeons I know too little about dungeons and the place where my dungeon is located. *3 Days Later* These last 3 days have been very informative. I have been telling Frank, Butch, Helen, and the Death Hound to search around the area. I told them to bring back animals, plants, and most importantly new things. This is what my undead have been doing for the last three days. On the first day, The undeaddiscovers a bizarre place, it was a mushroom grove. The Grovewas filled with many different mushrooms species and the most important thing about this place is that the mushroom hasmagical properties such as spreading poison gas, releasing paralyzing spore, releasing sleeping spore, and many others. I told the undead to take every kind of mushroom there. Into the night, I told them to explore other parts of the forest. They found what seems to be a pond but before they could get close to it they saw a giant pair of yellow eyes. When I saw that I told them to runwhen they run I heard a bloodcurdling screech and Frank turn his head he saw what seems to be a giant owl. It has a wingspan of 8 meters with a snakelike neck every step it took the ground seems to shake. It''s a good thing they were able to get back safely. After that, I told them not to explore at night.Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. On the second day, they found a pack of wolves so I decided to do an experiment. I told them to kill the alpha wolf and the adult wolf and capture the two wolf cub and bring them to the dungeon. I found that monster that was killed outside and then absorbed inside the dungeon worth only half the mana of when the monsters are killed inside the dungeon. On the third day, the undead was able to go to the pond and get some water and capture some fish and water lilies. They also gather some moss and flowers along the way and Butch even bring back a beehive looks like bee stings mean nothing to zombies. These last three days I have learned new thing about the area around my dungeons, my monsters, and my dungeon. First is that I''m inside a forest and away from villages or town since in the last three days I didn''t find any road even a dirt road. Second, it seems that there are no repercussionsin letting monsters going out of my dungeon other than a slight loss of strength and agility. The third is that when monsters are out of the dungeon I will get a screen that shows the outside world from my monsters perspective and I can still communicate with them.

"Hey Mike how much mana do I have now"
You now have 71 Mana, Adam.
Looks like I can finally expand or upgrade my current rooms, so many choices I don''t know what to do.
Looks like things can''t possibly go wrong huh Adam?
"What did you just say?" I askedagain it seems like I''m going deaf or he just said something stupid.
I said looks like things can''t possibly go wrong huh Adam?
Ok, I didn''t go deaf Mike is just an idiot "Mike you idiot don''t you know Murphy''s Law why did you say that that''s basically a death flag waiting to happen." Before I can lecture Mike about flags a screen pop-up in front of me. "Shit what happens next is your fault, Mike". The screen shows a girl being chased by what seems to be bandits. Chapter 7 - A "Chance" Encounter Evelyn Moonsong was the princess of the Evermoon Kingdom. The Moonsong family have been ruling the Evermoon Kingdom for over 2000 years. For three generations they have guided, cared for, and protected the people of Evermoon. Evelyn was supposed to be the next in line for the throne, but everything changed when the Church of The Sun God attacked. The royal family was branded as heretics. The church accusing them as demon followers, their voices that calm monsters were said to be a demon''s gift. The church blamed my parents for the monster attack and said to the people that we have been sacrificing people to monsters to appeased our demon master. My parents were captured and sent to the gallows, but not before they sent me through a secret tunnel and told me to run as far away as I can. I ran to the forbidden forest as fast as I can crying all the way. I ran for three days surviving on berries alone; barely getting any sleep as I was worried they would come after me. The worst part about this whole ordeal was that the people chose to believe the church rather than those that have helped and protected them. It looks like I was followed. I need to run, I can''t get captured here I must get revenge for my family. Three men are chasing after me, I need to run. There is a cave up ahead, maybe I can lose them there. This place feels like death, but if I stop I will die anyway, so I need to keep running. "Boss this place feels like it''s a dungeon, do we really need to follow her?" said the Scout. "Of course, if this place is a dungeon and she dies alone in here the dungeon will absorb her and we will have no proof that we killed her," said the Boss. "She is getting away boss," said the Archer. "Go, we need to get her head for the bounty," said the Boss. I can still hear them talking, I need to get away. This place is really scary, a graveyard with dead trees everywhere, there is a corridor up ahead maybe there is a place I can hide there. After running I saw a beautiful forest in front of me, no time for sightseeing I need to hide. I trip on a branch, I feel like I''m going to die here, the men are getting closer. "Any last word girl?" said the Boss. "Go to hell," I said with anger. Before he can cut my head off, six wolves come and attack him. They bit his arms and legs and one scratches his face. "What are you doing shoot your arrows and help me fight these wolves!" yells the boss angrily. But, they can¡¯t help him as the archer was being eaten by a zombie while the scout''s leg had been torn off by the two other zombies. When the boss sees this he feels helpless and tries to run away, before he can a wolf bites his neck and blood gushes out of him. This causes me to puke, looks like I''m next and will die being killed by undead unable to take revenge for my parents. ¡°Little girl, if you answer my question I¡¯ll make sure that my hounds don¡¯t eat you.¡± says a ghost. ¡°Ok,¡± I said since I don¡¯t want to die. ¡°Who are you and why were they chasing you?¡± asks the ghost. ¡°I am...was the princess of the Evermoon Kingdom and those men want me because the Church of the Sun God put a bounty on my head.¡±You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. ¡°Ok my hounds won¡¯t kill you, Helen will,¡± He said smiling. As soon as he said that a hand passes through him and stabs me in the heart. ¡°You lied,¡± I said weakly. ¡°I didn¡¯t lie, my hounds didn¡¯t eat you right?¡± He says with a menacing grin. *Adam¡¯s POV* Didn''t her parents teach her not to trust strangers? Especially if that stranger is a dungeon master with undead as monsters? Well, it''s their fault for bothering me while I was trying to upgrade my dungeon.
Adam, would you like to absorb them or revive them as undead?
"Let me see the options"
Evelyn Moonsong Zombie: 5 Mana Skeleton: 5 Mana Banshee: 15 Mana (Special Condition Met) Max Leafblower Zombie Warrior: 7 Mana Skeleton Warrior: 7 Mana Spirit: 7 Mana Daniel Stormwind Zombie Archer: 7 Mana Skeleton Archer: 7 Mana Spirit: 7 Mana Chad Blackforest Zombie Scout: 7 Mana Skeleton Scout: 7 Mana Spirit: 7 Mana
"Absorb the three men and turn the girl into a banshee." It looks like I was wrong about the three men being bandits after all. This wasn¡¯t a runaway slave clich¨¦, it was a fallen princess clich¨¦, well, either way, all of them died, but the church won¡¯t stop looking for her so I need to prepare. Judging by what Mike described the church, they won¡¯t leave an undead dungeon alone.

There is a lot of new information that I need to check. I better asked Mike about these new upgrades and about how I can absorb skills. I also need to say hi to my new undead. Let''s jump into it. Chapter 8 - Goals And Future Plans Where should I start? Since I have a lot to do today let''s start with the banshee sinceit will be the fastest thing to do. "Hey Banshee can I talk to you for a minute?" She seemed to nod then float towards me. She looks relatively the same as when she was alive. With the differences being that she has a hole in her chest, is transparent, and can float. "So do you remember when you were alive?" I asked. "I remember bits and pieces of when I was alive. Like how I was a princess and how the church killed my parents, but everything else seems fuzzy. I don''t even remember my name," she said without any emotion. "That life is behind you now, you aren''t a princess anymore, you are a monster in my dungeon. So you need a new name, I was thinking Lucia what do you think?" "Lucia, it sounds nice I am now Lucia," she said looking happy. Now let''s take a look at her status.
Monster Status
Name: Lucia Race: Undead (Banshee)
Information
A fallen princess betrayed by her people that died and turn into a spirit belonging to Adam Undead Dungeon.
Skills
[Sonic Scream][Fearful Scream]
Sonic Scream
Active Skill Level: 1
A scream that emits a sonic shockwave that can push targets in range with enough force to incapacitate or kill attackers.
Fearful Scream
Active Skill Level: 3
A scream that causes enemies in range to flee in terror or fill them with fear.
That''s interesting. Usually banshees only have the [Sonic Scream] skill. It looks like when you revived her she kept that [Fearful Scream] skill.
"Does that happened often?"
It happens 20% of the time and the skills levels that they kept when revived are usually halved.
"What about skills that I absorbed how often does that happen?"If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
it happens 10% of the time and when you summon the skill as a skill book the level that it starts as is one.
"So I need to be lucky enough to get the skill, I need to spend mana to buy, and I also have to let my undead level it. That''s a lot of effort for one skill." "What about the Church of the Sun God? Any plan on how to defeat them or at least survive their attack?"
If we reach level five, we might survive their attack.
"Now we have a plan. Step one, reach level five. Step two, survive the church''s attack. Step three, world domination."
Really? World domination are you a kid?
"What, go big or go home right?" I said while smiling like a little kid. Ok, now that we have a long-termplan let''s start expanding the dungeon so those church bastards can''t kill us. Since I have 100 mana to work with, I''ve decided to buy all the construction upgrades. I decided to purchase some fishes, a beehive, drone bees, and worker bees all for 15 mana.
Infection Forest The room looks exactly like a regular forest. But everything that lives here whether it is the plants or animals all possess the zombie virus. The zombie virus can be spread by air or water transmission. This room has an ecosystem. Infection of the zombie virus through airborne transmission. (Small Chance) Infection of the zombie virus through ingestion. (Medium Chance) Pond: Infection of the zombie virus through a waterborne transmission. (Small Chance) Death Hound Den: Spawn Death Hound once a week. Mushroom Grove: Spawn mushroom around the grove and forest. Ecosystem: The monsters inside the infection forest will kill one another to survive. Add one to mana regeneration.
Graveyard A graveyard is a resting place for undeadmonsters. It provides undead monsters with comfort and relaxation. Provides healing to undead monsters. Regenerates broken or missing body parts. Creates a calm environment for undeadmonsters. Instills fear inliving beings. (Small Chance) Morgue: Spawn zombie once a week. Morgue: Increase [Zombie Virus I] to [Zombie Virus II].
Wow, with that 75 mana is gone like the wind. I haven''t put any traps in yet. At least now that I have a zombie and death hound spawner I can start a horde. It looks like if I had an ecosystem I could increase my mana regeneration, require more experiments. Later, now it''s time to build traps. "Mike, show me the Trap category."
Trap
Spike Trap Hole: 5 Mana Falling Stalagmites Trap: 5 Mana Poison Arrows: 5 Mana
I decided to put falling stalagmite trap on all the corridors. So that when they triggered the trap, undead can ambush them and with that I only 5 mana left. Now there is only one thing left to do. "Mike, gather the undead, we are going exploring." Chapter 9 - Chicken Dinner
Are you planning on using the undead to gather plants and killing some wolves?
"I was thinking of something bigger like a giant chicken," I said while licking my lips.
Are you going to mess with that giant owl? I hope you know what you are doing.
"It''s high noon the perfect time to ambush a giant owl which is a nocturnal animal." I told Lucia to scout ahead, look for the owl near the pond and I told Frank to lead the undead. After Lucia found the owl sleeping next to the pond. I gave instruction to my undead on how to fight the giant owl. The Undead quickly get into formation. The fight starts when Lucia used [Sonic Scream] on the owl''s ears. The Owl got startled and woke up dizzy. Two death hounds began to claw the owl''s face and from behind Butch, Helen, and two death hounds began to attack the owl''s wings. The Owl began to flap his wings to thrown off the undead. The undead got thrown off the owl and slammed into a tree. It looks like a death hound broke its legs but everybody else looks fine. The owl began to move towards the wounded death hound and then he slammed his wings at the death hound. The death hound died like roadkill. The Owl now began to walk towards Helen but before he could finish her off, Lucia screams again next to his ear. The dizziness causes the owl to wobble. When the owl wobbles Frank and Butch attack his legs which causes his upper body to fall into the pond. Once the owl falls into the pond two death hounds pounce at him they clawed and bit his neck. The three zombies also start clawing at his stomach and began ripping his intestines. As a last-ditch effort, the owl uses his beak to tear a death hound that is near his neck limb from limb before suddenly the owl went very still. The owl died from blood loss. When the owl died the undead began to eat him. The death hounds eat his brain, while the zombies prefer to eat the heart. Weird I thought the zombies would like to eat the brain rather than the heart, maybe zombies liking brains is just a stereotype they probably have different food preferences. One death hound is holding a fish that he caught in his mouth. I told all of the undead to return to the dungeon and bring some owl body parts so that I can absorb it. They all went back looking a little beat up but relatively fine. That one death hound is still holding that goldfish, looks like he wants me to absorb it. I told all of them to rest so that they can heal their wounds. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

Guardian of the pond (Giant Owl): 30 Mana Pyro Goldfish: 5 Mana (Added to Monster)
Guardian of the pond? What is that owl guarding? I need to check the pond again later for things that I may have missed. Pyro Goldfish? Pyro means fire, why is there a fire type goldfish? They''re fish they live in water what is the use of fire. So many question, so little answer. "Mike, don''t you think it is weird that there is a pyro goldfish?" I asked still not understanding what''s a pyro goldfish.
You are talking to a blue box, inside of your undead dungeon and you''re telling me a pyro goldfish is weird?
"You''re right weird is a relative term. Let''s just create a pyro goldfish to see what all the fuss is about." I decided to create a pyro goldfish for 5 Mana. It looks like there can only be one pyro goldfish inside a pond. I take a good look at it, it looks like any other goldfish but it has a red scorch marked pattern on its body. It looks really interesting now that I look at it. "Since you are interesting I will give you a name even though you are just a goldfish. I will name you Bob."
Why Bob?
"Because he looks like a Bob."
No arguments there. He does look like a Bob.

Pyro Goldfish will surround its body with flame when it feels threatened.
"The fish that can use fire magic, I don''t even know what to say," I said while sighing. Now I just need to wait for the undead to heal their wounds before I can start exploring again. It''s really handy to have tireless monsters. Chapter 10 - No Loose Ends "Mike, I''m an idiot aren''t I?"
You just realized that now?
"Dammit Mike, I was waiting for comforting words rather than agreement."
What do you expect me to say? No, you''re not an idiot for picking the Undead as a starting monster. Why do you ask anyway, something bothering you?
"Fair point, I need to think before I act. When I sent the undead to kill the owl, I didn''t leave any undead to protect me. The only thing between me and death was two stalagmite traps."
That was pretty reckless, but I am also to blame for not noticing that. I am a bad dungeon assistant.
"Mike, don''tsulk you''rea great dungeon assistant and it''s my turn to sulk, so why am I comforting you right now?" I needed to divide my undead so that they can protect me, bring me mana, and also scout the area around my dungeon. I''ll leave this task to my three trusty zombies. I''ll let Butch handle protecting the dungeon since it looks like he doesn''t like to move around, I''ll let Frank in charge of bringing me mana because he is good at commanding the undead, and lastly I''ll let Helen scout the surrounding area since she seems to be the fastest and most agile out of the three zombies. Frank and Helen will need troops to help them in their mission. I need to add more undead so that all of this will finish smoothly. I''ve been dreading this day since I found out that I don''t automatically understand my undead. I can talk to Helen, but I don''t understand what she said, thankfully Frank understood what she said and can help translate for me. It''s time to summon askeleton. "Mike how much mana do I have now?"
You currently have 32 Mana.
"Thanks, Mike"This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. I decided to summon a skeleton archer for 15 Mana. He looks average, and he''s holding a wooden bow with a quiver strap across his back. After that, I call all of the undead to gather in the core room. When they all arrived in the core room, I explained my plan to them. "Frank you will gather mana for me by hunting or harvesting the surrounding area. Bring this skeleton archer and death hound with you. Also here is a sword to help you in your mission." I summoned a short sword and a scabbard with a leather strap for 3 mana and gave it to Frank. He looks really happy. "Master, I am honored that you trust me with this missionand thankyou for the weapon," Frank said enthusiastically. "Helen I''m entrusting you with the mission to search our surrounding area. Look for other guardians like the owl and also look forplaces of interest that might be useful for the dungeon and warn me if humanoidcreatures get close to the dungeon. Hereare some daggers it suits your combat style and brings a death hound so that you''re not alone." I summoned two daggers with scabbards for 3 mana and gave it to Helen. Her eyes seem to sparkle. "*clack* *clack* *clack* *clack* *clack* *clack*" said Helen. "Frank what did Helen said?" I asked Frank looking confused. I really need to kill someone with a telepathy skill. "She said I''ll do my best my lord," Frank repeating what Helen said. "Butch you''ll defend this dungeon with Lucia and the other undead I''ll expect you to lead and help them since technically you are the oldest." "O...K Bo...ss," said Butch looking happy I guess? I can''t tell what he''s thinking since he is usually so quiet. "Good luck everyone with your mission and remember to always be safe. Dismiss." Everyone began doing their own thing. Frank lead the archer and death hound outside to search for mana. Helen also began walking outside while looking at her new daggers. Butch goes back to the graveyard and began to sleep. Looks like I''m forgetting something. Looking at Lucia I finally remembered. I killed a princess, it''s been four days since she and those three men disappeared, people will start looking for them sooner or later. I hurriedly called Helen back and sent her to scatter the rotten body parts in the forest, after adding a few scratches and bite marks on the corpses. I also put a severed head inside a leather bag to make it more convincing. Now I can feel slightly relieved with the evidence taken care of and hopefully no loose ends. Chapter 11 - Franks Adventure *Frank''s POV* It''s been one week since my master has asked me to gather mana for him. In that time I have become stronger, faster, and smarter all for the sake of protecting my master. My master is very kind, he has given me life, shelter, and friends so if gathering mana is something that I can do to repay his kindness then I will do it to the best of my ability. This past week has been very productive for me and my team. We went back to the pond to search for what the owl was guarding. After searching around, we found a chest inside the pond. Inside the chest, there was an iron breastplate, a buckler shield, a short sword, and a book. Everything in the chest is marked with an owl crest, we then went back to the dungeon and gave the chest to master. My master was happy when he absorbed the chest, he praised our hard work and he rewarded the archer with a pair of arms, he said that now he can shoot twice as much. He rewarded the death hound with the tracking skill now the hound is aneven deadlier hunter then it was before. He rewarded me with the breastplate and buckler. I promised myself that I will get stronger to protect my master and my friends. A few days after we found the chest something exciting happened in the dungeon. Butch found coal while digging the walls of the infection forest, not only coal there are also bright yellow crystallines that seem to smell really bad from the looks of the death hound that can''t stand the smell. It turns out to be sulfur, there are also white crystals on the ceiling and when I asked master what that is, he told me that it is potassium nitrate. I congratulate Butch on his findings. After finding all of these minerals the master decided to make a room full of the minerals. Butch looked very happy, he said to me that he found a food buffet since the minerals taste so delicious. When I asked him why didn''t he liked human meat and wolf meat, he said they are too soft and bland. He said coaltaste spicy while sulfur tastes sour and the potassium nitrate has a savory taste. I guess me and Butch have different taste, I actually like human meat, especially the heart they seem to be packed with flavor and the thigh is very juicy and seem to melt in my mouth.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. After that, things seem to be very peaceful. We keep hunting wolves and gathering plants to give to master and sometimes we met with Helen while she was scouting. But, things went awry when we were ambushed by a black bear. He used his paw to slap the death hound, the hound went flying right into a tree. When I saw that I went into a rage, I saw a blue box in the corner of my vision but I didn''t mind it and keep attacking his legs trying to slice his Achilles'' knee while also dodging and blocking his paw attack. The weight of his paws felt like a mountain trying to crush me, It''s a good thing the skeleton archer keep attacking him from the rear. When the death hound woke up, it quickly jumped to the bear and began clawing at the bear and biting his neck. The bear tries to shake the death hound off of him. But while he was distracted by the death hound, I jumped and plunged my sword through his head. The bear began wobbling before crashing into the ground and then died. When the battle is over I finally looked at the blue box. When I looked at it I quickly told the skeleton archer and the death hound to bring the bear corpse to the dungeon. Now here I am, standing in front of my master with a bear corpse right behind me currently being absorbed. I told my master about the blue box and after I told him what happened to the bear, he seems to smile. He looked at me still smiling and asked me "Do you want to evolve?" Wow, a lot to digest here. First of all, zombies can evolve? But they''re dead, isn''t evolution based on survival? Charles Darwin would flip from his grave if he knew about this. Those philosophies students and biology student would also debate like crazy if they knew about this. Who cares I''m not on earth anyway, if this will make them stronger I don''t care. I would really like it if Frank picks the Commander Zombie, but I will let him decide by himself because if he likes his evolution he might become stronger that way. Let''s just ask him. "So Frank what will you choose for your evolution?" "Master, I would like to evolve into a Commander Zombie," he said resolutely. "So why Commander Zombie?" I asked with glee, really happy that he decided to pick commander zombie. "I want to be strongerand I also want to lead my team efficiently. When the black bear attacked us I panicked, I didn''t lead my team and just attacked the bear blindly. If I become a commander zombie I might be able to protect my team and lead them to victory. I also want to be strong enough to protect you from any enemy, that''s why I need my team and abilities of a commander zombie." he said without any doubt in his eyes. "You really thought this through, Commander Zombie it is then." When I picked the Commander Zombie, Frank''s body is covered with light and he began to change. His skin became darker and his muscles more defined. He now has a nose and eyes, the eyes are blood red in color, all of his bones have been covered with muscle and skin. Now it''s hard to tell him apart from a regular human. "Thank you, Master," he said while bowing. "Stand up Frank, now enjoy your new form," I said happy for him. Let''s take a look at his new status.
Monster Status
Name: Frank Race: Undead(Commander Zombie)

This skill increases the damage of sword and dagger type weapon.
Roar
Active Skill Level: 1
Frank lets out a roar that strengthens his allies while simultaneously weaken his enemies. This lasts for 30 seconds with a range of 15 meters.
Frank is a lot stronger now, but I don''t really know how strong since there is nothing to compare him to. I guess he now he can beat the owl if he is with his team and Helen and Butch helping him. I should really test his strength, that roar skill will be useful when we fight with the elves later, to weaken the enemies while strengthening our own can change the tide of battle to our side. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. A blue screen appeared in front of me, I smiled. Today just gets better and better. I saw Butch came into the core room, he looks excited. He''s probably here to tell me about the blue screen. "Do you want to evolve Butch?" He nodded. After picking the Bomber Zombie, just like Frank Butch body got covered in light and he began to change. He became taller and his body grows in size. His height now is close to Frank which is around 180 cm and his weight is at least130 kg. He doesn''t look fat but his not muscular either, his body looks like a sumo wrestler. At least his trademark bite mark on his head is still there. "Thanks, Boss I feel explosively stronger now," he said smiling. He loses his sluggish voice which is a shame, oh please don''t let this evolution turn him into a pun zombie, I hope the explosive part is just a coincidence. Now let''s take a look at his new status.

While I was looking at Butch new status Helen came to the core room. She looks excited, it looks like she found something important while scouting the forest. I looked at her to show that I was paying attention. "*clack**clack**clack**clack**clack**clack*" "Frank can you please translate what she said?" "I found another guardian, my lord, that''s what she said, Master." I guess now we have a test dummy for our new evolved zombies. Chapter 13 - Guardian Of The Forest Helen and her death hound lead Butch, Frank and his troops to the place where she saw the guardian. She brought them to the lush part of the forest, the trees here looked so full of life and the area seems very tranquil. When Helen stops everybody also stops, she points at one of the trees in the forest. Everybody looks at it, it has a face on its trunks. It looks very old, it has wrinkles all over its face. It looks really big with the height of around50 feet, its waistline that is around 35 ft and it probably weighs around 25 ton. I''m having second thoughts on fighting this guardian. First of all, I don''t know how it fights. Second, I don''t know if it can walk or not, I know it''s a tree but you never know with a magical monster tree. Third, I don''t know if regular methods like cutting or burning would work on him. I need a plan, I can''t let my undead fightit blindly without any information on his strength and weakness. Let this be a scouting mission on findingits weakness. At what range can it detect us? Can fire be used to burn it? Is the face it weakness? How does it fight? So many questions so little answer. I need to do some tests. It''s going to take mana and monster. In the end, I had to ask myself is it worth it? Would the benefit outweighthe risk? After thinking long and hard I concluded that Hell Yeah it''s worth it. I can''t run away now, there will be bigger and stronger monster that I will need to face, also the when the church of the sun godfinds me I need to be ready. That''s why I need to do this, the mana and the experience that the undead will get when fighting this guardian will be worth it, not to mention the loot it guards will be useful. Well, time to test its detection range. I told Frank to let the death hound gets close to the guardian. The death hound began walking to it, the moment the death hound reached the 10 meters the guardian open its eyes and roots began chasing the death hound trying to entangle him. The death hound evades the roots and ran away back to Frank. So the guardian attackedon sight. Is it becausethey are undead or because didthey intrude on its territory? Either way, their detection range is 10 meters from their location. Now it''s time to check the what kind of attack works against it. Like before, I told Frank to let the skeleton archer attack the guardian. First, the skeleton archer attacked the area near the guardian roots. The arrow woke it up, but other than that it didn''t even scratch it. After that, the skeleton archer attacked its face. The arrow stuck to its face, it opens its eyes from anger. It pulled out the arrow from its face with its roots then roared, the roar causes the birds to fly away out of fear. So its weakness is the area around its face, now how does it interact with fire? Helen created a small fire using sticks and dry leaves, then make a makeshift torch out of a branch. After that, she covered the small with dirt. Helen and her death hound looked at each other and began to talk? I''m just guessing here since there were only clacking sound and barking sounds. They nodded at each other and began running toward the guardian. When they got close to the guardian, they split up Helen going left and the death hound going right. When they reach the 10 meters mark roots began sprouting up from the ground trying to entangle them. They dodge left and right. When they reached throwing distance, Helen threw the torch at the guardian. The trunks began to burn, the guardian panic and then began to covered the fire with dirt to turn off the fire. While it was panicking Helen and the death hound ran out of the 10 meters range of the guardian. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. Well, that solves the fire question. Now that I have all of my answers I can start planning on how to kill it. I told the undead to go back to the dungeon for now. Fire will be the biggest factor in defeating the guardian. I also need axes to get rid of those roots. Now that I have gunpowder, I have everything I need to make explosive arrows. I put gunpowder inside a small leather bag, then shape it into a ball before tying it to the front of the arrow, then I put a fuse inside the leather bag and with that, I createdexplosive arrows. I also created battle axes with short handles so that it can be used with one hand and iron gauntlets. Two dozenexplosive arrows required 5 mana to make and it takes 10 mana to create 3 battle axes and a pair of iron gauntlets. This should be enough preparation to defeat the guardian. After the undead return to the dungeon, I explain to them how we will defeat the guardian. I distribute the weapon to the undead two battle axes for Helen, a battle ax for Frank, a pair of iron gauntlets for Frank, and finally theexplosive arrows to the skeleton archer. Now they are ready to face the guardian. The undead goes back to the guardian with new weapons and a resolve to kill it. Frank is at the front with his buckler ready to defend against any roots. Behind him are Helen andButch ready to attack and also protect Frank''s back. The two death hounds are right behind Helen and Butch, the skeleton archer is on the back of the team not getting close to the 10 meters range. The group forms an arrow formation ready to fight the guardian. The battle starts at the sounds of Frank roar. The group began to charge at the guardian except for the skeleton archer that began to light hisexplosive arrow with the torch from his two lower hands before shooting them. The arrows began to rain on the guardian while it is attacking the undead with its roots. Helen and Frank began cutting the roots with their axes while Butch attacks the roots with his gauntlet that causes an explosion and a shockwave that destroy the roots, the death hounds also tried their best to defeat the guardian by clawing and biting at the roots, that cause little to no damage. Theexplosive arrow began exploding near the guardian''s face, it causes embers and small fires popping up near it. Eventually, an explosive arrow hit its trunk which then exploded and causes his trunk to burn. The guardian roared out of pain, the undead used this chance to get close and began attacking the guardian''s face. When they attack the guardian''s face its branch began to attack them, Frank blocked it with his shield, Helen chopped the branch clean off using her battle axes, while Butch destroys it with his explosion fist. The guardian roared, then the earth began to rumble before more roots began to sprout from the ground and start attacking the undead. Someexplosive arrows hit the branch of the guardian, it exploded and the leaves caught on fire. The undeaddefended against the countless roots while the guardian is burning. It is a battle of attrition who will die first the undead or the guardian? Frank then roared, it empowers the undead while causing the guardian to flinch. The fire then engulfed the guardian, it died screaming in pain. The undead after confirming that the guardian is dead began covering it with dirt to put out the fire. It''s a relief that there was no forest fire. The undead looks beaten up after fighting the guardian. I told the undead to bring back the remains of the guardian. Its roots, trunk, branches, and leaves. I also told them to search the surrounding area for the guardian''s loot. After searching they found the loot beneath the guardian''s corpse. They bring back the guardian''s corpse and its loot. Now, let''s take a look at today''s harvest. Chapter 14 - Renovation "Hey, Mike what is that?" I said curiously.
That is obviously a mole.
"I know that''s a mole, what is it doing in my core room?"
I don''t know, he''s looking for food?
"How did it even get in here?"
Probably through that small hole that he dug.
"Can anyone or anything just dig holes to get to my dungeon core?"
Yes, how do you think Butch found those ores and minerals? Didn''t hedig walls in your forest room?
"I didn''t think too much about it. Magic or something? That means anyone with shovels can just start digging left and right until they reach my core room instead of going through my room. That sounds really bad, is there any way to stop this?"
There are a few ways to prevent this, but you only have enough mana for one of them. It''s called regeneration like the name suggest it allows your dungeon to regenerate its rooms, walls, floor, etc. It cost 50 mana since you have 60 mana you can afford it.
"50 MANA, that''s half my max mana capacity, shit that''s expensive. Wait it regenerate everything so that means my undead also can''t dig tunnels?"
Yes.
Hmmm, so the pro is that people can''t just dig tunnels to reach my core room and con is that it''s expensive and my undead will also be unable to dig tunnels for me. Free tunnels or my life and safety, since I like to live I''m going to buy the regeneration. Just like that 50 mana flew away. While I was looking at my mana, the undead came back with their spoils. They came back with a chest and the chopped up body parts of the guardian. The chest is full of what seems to be a magician starter kit. An oak staff, a robe, a book with a tree as the cover, a book with a green cover, and a satchel filled with red and blue vials. I''m gonna guess those vials are filled with health and mana potions.

So the tree monster is called a Treant. Now that I have enough mana I can finally renovate this place. All week I''ve been trying to change the layout and add more room, but I always got distracted. I''ve only been creating undead to protect the dungeon and have always been short on mana when trying to create more room. I at least need to look on the bright side, I have 2 squads defending my dungeon one consist of a zombie warrior, archer, scout, and a death hound while the other squad consists of a skeletonwarrior, archer, scout, and a death hound. The rooms feel crowded now especially the forest since it has the most undead population. The death hounds live there, Lucia and her two new spirit friends, and also the skeleton squad is stationed there. I really need to expand it and add a new neighbor for them. Before I get tempted to make new undead I quickly used 30 Mana to expand the forest room, now it''s twice the size and I also used 10 Mana to add a corrupted treant inside since it blends perfectly with the trees. I also decided to create a new room. I am going to make a sacrificial altar in the new room, because what kind undead dungeon would I be if I don''t have a creepy sacrificial altar? I made stone stairs that lead up to the altar, on the side of the altar I carved various pictures of the undead skeleton, zombies, and spirits decorated the altar. I also carved a stone skeleton holding a bowl, on the altar, there is a dagger which can be used to sacrifice a virgin or something. With all of the creepy decoration finished I created the room and a corridor that connect it with the rest of the dungeon. The momentI finished creating the sacrifice room a blue screen popped up in front of me.
Room of Sacrifice This room provides an altar where people can sacrifice what they have to get what they need. The altar can be used to bring back loved ones from the dead, summon a demon, give praised to Dark Gods all of this can be done by sacrificing the lives of other people. Special monsters souls can be stored and be brought back with mana using the sacrificial altar. People can bring back someone from the dead ifthey sacrifice enough people, equal to twice the power of the person being brought back from the dead, uponthe altar. (Target body must be whole) Summon a demon after sacrificing 100 virgins. (Small Chance) Revive special undead using double the mana of the undead cost. Available Undead Frank - Commander Zombie (Alive) Butch - Bomber Zombie (Alive) Helen - Zombie (Alive) Lucia - Banshee (Alive)
That''s interesting I can bring back my undead, so are conditions in bringing them back other than mana? Is having a name the only condition to make them special zombies or do they need to complete special tasks that can prove them to be special undead? Should I make a sign that will promote killing people on the altar so that I can get more mana? I shouldn''t mention the summoning a demon to the adventurer since I don''t want to deal with a demon in my dungeon. I decided to make a zombie statue that holds a sign that says the condition in bringing back the dead. That should promote killing in my dungeon. The last thing I needed to do is rearrange the room placement because a graveyard inside a cave is really suspicious. I change it to the ore room as the first room the things visitors can see. After that is the infection forest so it can give the illusion of this being an underground forest if there is even such a thing. Then I put the sacrifice room next so at least even if they don''t believe it, they can still be tempted to try it. The last defense is my graveyard room since that is where the zombie''s squad and my special zombies residing so anyone that comes in there will be slaughtered. With that, the new floor layout is done. Doing all of this cost me a total of 95 Mana.

A boss, who should I choose? Spoiler: Dungeon Map Chapter 15 - EXPLOSION A boss, who should I pick? Well, not like it matters right now since I probably don''t have enough mana anyway. Let''s take a look at it.
Construction
Room (20x20ft): 20 mana (Unavailable) Corridor (10ft): 10 Mana 1st Floor Boss Room (20x20ft): 60 mana (One Time Purchase)
What, the boss room costtriple a room!
Boss Room A room created speciallymade to protect the dungeon and hinder intruders from reaching the next floor. The monster assigned as the boss will have its soul bound to the room. The room changed designs based on boss skills and specialty. Boss monster will evolve. Afterward, it cannot evolve or get stronger. Soul Bounded. Teleport to the boss room when intruders attack. Revived from death after death timer run out. (1 hour) Monster Evolution. Room Transformation.
Ok, so that''s why it cost more than a regular room. It can transform the room, evolve the monster, and also revived the monster. Of course, it''s going to be expensive. But thereare things that I need to think about before picking the boss monster. The fact that the monster can''t get stronger or evolves after becoming the boss worries me. In exchange for short-term power-up,the boss monster can''t get stronger long-term. The boss monster can''t get stronger, is the system talking about the boss physical strength? If so, good tactics and strategies can helpthe boss monster become stronger. How would the room transformation works? Will the room begin to change after I picked the boss monster? Also, I want to see how the boss monster revive. Well not like any of this would matter if I don''t have at least 70 mana to make the boss room and a corridor to connect it to the dungeon. 70 mana is a lot of mana I would need the undead to gather and kill a lot of things to get that much mana, better get started then. I told the undead to gather as much mana as they can. After a long and uneventful day, they return with trees, herbs, mushroom, and dead animals ranging from wolves, deers, and fish. All of the things they brought just barely reached 72 mana, so now I have enough mana to build the boss room and corridor. The boss room looks like a regular white room. I can''t change anything, it looks like it would change after I put in the boss. I finally added the boss room to where the core room was previously placed. Now it''s time to ask the most important question, who should be the boss for this floor? I should probably ask all the undead to know if they interested in taking the job. I hope the original trio undead won''t take the job since I believe they have a lot of potentials but if they accepted I won''t get mad, disappointed maybe but not mad. I first ask Frank if he wants to be the boss monster. "Frank do you want to be the boss monster for the 1st floor?" "Master I am honored that you would choose me to be the boss monster. But I must decline your generous master, I believed that I would help you more by training my troops and help you gather mana." "Ok, Frank if that is your decision," I said while smiling. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. "How about you Helen do you want to be the boss monster?" "*Clack* *clack* *clack* *clack* *clack*," she said while shaking her head. "Can you please translate for me Frank," I said to Frank, but I can probably guess what her answer was. "She said that no my lord, she enjoys exploring the world more rather than becoming the boss." "Ok, I understand." "What about you Butch, are you interested in becoming the boss?" "Yes Boss," he said while grinning like a child. "Can you said that one more time?" I asked surprised that he was interested in becoming the boss. "Yes Boss, I would like to be the boss monster." "You know that you''re going to spend most of your time in the boss room right? Are you sure you want to be the boss? Won''t you get bored?" I asked trying to change his mind. "Yes Boss, I''m sure. I''m an indoor person I don''t really like the outside and being the boss means I can spend my time eating mineral, so I won''t be bored." "Ok then," I said in surrender since it looks like he already made up his mind. That means I didn''t have to ask the other undead since Butch seemed adamant in becoming the boss. When a blue screen popped up in front of me asking who do I want as a boss I picked Butch. Butch body began to light up and he began changing. I would never get tired of this transformation, it would be even better if Butch was a girl with magical power, but this looks cool too. After the light disappears Butch clothes changes, he now wore a dark green leather armor with black combat boots and black leather gloves looks like the gloves and boots have metals inside of it. He also wore a black belt that has small bags attach to it, inside of the small bags different kinds what I''m guessing bombs. I guess it''s easier to understand if I just look at his information.

Information
A dungeon undead createdwith manafrom Adam Undead Dungeon. He is the 1st-floor boss monster. Bomb Technician is an undead monster that use magical bombs to defeat their enemies. Bomb Technician really likes explosion.

Bomb Creation
Active Skill Level: MAX
This skill allows Butch¡¯s to create different kinds of bombs using magic. Impact Bomb: Bomb that explodes upon impact. Timer Bomb: Bomb that has a timer that explodes when the timer runs out. Landmine: Bomb that explodes when triggered. Incendiary Bomb: Bomb that causes fire upon impact. Poison Bomb: Bomb that releases a poisonousgas upon impact.
Frank and Helen congratulate Butch for his evolution and new position. After that, they went to the graveyard room to sleep. I stayed in the boss room to take a look at Butch''s new ability. The previously white room begin to change. Trees begin to grow inside the room, the floor becomes uneven and ores and mineral veins begin to cover the walls. So the room change to Butch preferences and also his skill set. Since he likes ores and minerals the walls are covered with them. Trees can help him stay hidden from the enemies and if they tried to hide in the forest he can burn it or poison it using his bomb. The uneven grounds also helps with the landmines since this place looks like a mini forest uneven grounds are everywhere he can place mines easily here. This boss room is really convenient. Butch begins to throw his bombs everywhere to test them out. He starts with his impact bombs, he looks happy when explosion began to happen. He also used his incendiary bombs, the trees start to catch on fire. This doesn''t look good, he throws his other bombs at random while laughing maniacally. I have a bad feeling about this. He tried to figure out his Timer bomb, he didn''t change the timer it was set to 1 second before exploding and he turns it on. What happened next looks like a small nuclear explosion. The timer bomb exploded on his face which triggered the other bombs to explode and Butch died causing another explosion to happen. The room now has a huge crater and fire burning everywhere. "Mike, I think we are screwed."
Yes, I think so too.
Spoiler: Dungeon Map Chapter 16 - Dungeon Theme "So Mike, he''ll be back right?" I asked concerned.
Of course, he''ll be back in 1 hour.
"That explosion was terrifying."

"Mike, what am I looking at here?"
Sorry, I forgot to mention about dungeon theme because of the explosion. Dungeon theme basically scanned your floor to determine the theme of your floor and then added animals, plants, traps, loot, and monsters that can help improve your dungeon like building an ecosystem.
"So that means Ican increase my mana regeneration from two to seven?"
Not exactly. Did you remember when you expanded your forest room? Your mana regeneration didn''t increase from two to three. That''s because instead of your rooms, the system looks at your layout. You currently have 3 different types of layout for your rooms excluding the core room layout. They are cavelayout, forest layout, and desert layout.
"I can probably guess how I got cave layout and forest layout, but when did Iget the desert layout?"
You got the desert layout after you absorbed the fire crystal, ice crystal, and sand from the pond. Since you never used a premade layout for your room, I didn''t show that you''ve acquired the desert room. I am sorry.
"You don''t have to apologize, Mike, I like creating the dungeon myself rather than using a premade layout. Now that I saw the desert layout combine with the new information about dungeon theme, I have a pretty good idea of what I want to make the second floor. Let''s take a look at the stuff we''re getting from the dungeon theme."

"I guess it''s time tomake an ecosystem for the cave layout."
That would be great but you don''t have enough mana for it. You currently have 2 mana and you need around 20 mana to create a cave layout. So you need more mana.
"That seems easy enough. Just kill a wolf pack, that should be enough to cover the mana cost. Wow, I just said killing a wolf pack like it''s nothing am I turning into a psychopath?"
No, you''re not a psychopath.
"Thanks, Mike."
You didn''t let me finish, you''re not a psychopath, you''re a sociopath.
"Gee thanks, Mike."
You''re welcome.
"I was being sarcastic."
So was I. But on a serious note Adam, you''re a dungeon now so your values and beliefs might be different than when you were a human.
"I guess you''re right, but that''s easier said than done. Let''s not think about it too much. It''s time to killa wolf pack." I sent a zombie squad to search for a wolf pack, it took an hour before they able to find and kill one. After the hunt, I had 26 mana to spend, enough to make an ecosystem for the cave layout. I used the mana to make plants because other than dead trees there wasn''t any vegetation in my cave layout. I placed moss and mushrooms inside the graveyard and mine room. I also added copper and zincto the mine room. I didn''t forget to add insects and reptiles inside every room. Dozens of reptiles and insects began appearing inside every room, they began to walk, crawl, fly, hop, and slither away. Last but not least I purchased the raccoons and the blue jays because they seem like a good pair. After finishing my work I looked at my status.

I finally have three mana regeneration, only one mana left I really am cutting it close. Tomorrow I should start making my second floor, I have a crazy idea for it. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. Chapter 17 - A Squires Tale "We''re finally here," said the bard. I said to the adventurer group "Let''s finish this quest as quickly as we can," with annoyance clearly in my tone. I thought back to three days ago when this whole ordeal starts. The church wants to continue the search for the princess because even after two weeks of search she still wasn''t found. Since Evermoon was a small kingdom that only has small town and villages in its influence, no knights or priests were interested in doing this mission since they thought it would waste their time and wouldn''t help advance their career. So they sent their trainees and their squires to do the job. That was my chance as I was one of the first squires that were there when the church occupied the Evermoon Kingdom. The reward and recognition from finding the princess could help me boost my career to the point where I might even become a knight. So I decided to accept the mission. The princess was last seen running towards the forbidden forest with three guards chasing after her. Those three guards hadn''t returned after two weeks it''s very likely that they died inside the forbidden forest with the princess. I know that I shouldn''t go there alone. So I post an escort quest going to the forbidden forest at the adventurer guild. That''s when my bad luck began. A young man accepted my quest, he was accompanied by three beautiful women. Lucky bastard, he does look handsome with his blue eyes and black hair. He was wearing plate armor that covered his whole body except his face. He was carrying a kite shield on his back with a hammer on his belt, he must be a guardian. After I traveled with his party for three days, I realized that he was the luckiest bastard in Mondo. All three women in his party seemed to be in love with him. They all praise him and fawn over him, all of them tried to get closer to him along the journey. The worst part of this was that he was clueless to all of their advances, he thought of them as his friends. His childhood friend Layla, was the party magician and healer. She was a druid which meant she could harness the power of nature to ensnare enemies with enchanted vines and heal party members by increasing their natural regeneration. She wore a white shirt with a black skirt and a green robe that was too big for her. She had short black hair and blue eyes and her height is around 160 cm. She had an oak staff as her weapon. The rising artist Esme, was the party buffer. She was a bard, and she used sound magic, the specialized form of wind magic, to enchant her music so that it would buff her party members or debuff her enemies. She wore a purple dress and black leather armor covering her vital areas. She had brown hair tied into a ponytail with brown eyes with a lean figure and a height of around 165 cm. She had a lute and a rapier on her belt as her weapons. The cool older sister Rosario Enlynn was the scout and damage dealer. She was an elven ranger. As a scout, she can find traps, safe roads, and track enemies. As a damage dealer, she used her bow to attack enemies from a distance. She wore a full set of green leather armor with a hood covering her face. She had long blond hair and green eyes with her height being around 180 cm. She had a bow and multiple daggers as her weapons. All these women liked him, but he hadn''t made any moves on them. He must be as dense as an earth crystal because other than a written invitation they have done everything to seduce him. Damn you, Dean, I hope Goddess Sole tortures you in her eternal sun fire. "Hey old man, are you daydreaming?" asked Emse. "I''m not old, I''m 118 years old that''s still young," I said to her angrily. "I''m sorry Aiwin, that was rude of Esme. She''s nice if you get to know her," said Dean trying to apologize for Esme. "It doesn''t matter, let''s just finish the quest," I said clearly annoyed. We all went into the forest and I could feel that something was off. Looks like I wasn''t the only one that felt it, Rosario and Layla, also feel that something was off. Everyone is cautious as they were all holding their weapons since the place was more dangerous than usual. Usually, the forest feels like it ¡¯s watching you, like everything in this place is alive. Now that feeling is gone and the forest looks like it is empty. The forbidden forest should be crawling with beasts like wolves and bears, but why is it empty? It got so bad that knights used this place as a training ground for squire''s to practice for real combat. It wasn''t time for the annual training, so this place should be crawling with beasts. When we went deeper into the forest Rosario found something. It was rotten corpses, which were filled with scratches and bite marks. The smells were repugnant, I saw Esme covering her mouth trying hard not to vomit and Layla closing her eyes as to not see the dead bodies. "They were probably the guards that went missing after chasing the princess." "You think?" Esme said sarcastically. "What''s that?" Layla asked as she point toward a leather bag. I went closer to take a look. When I opened the bag to look what''s inside, I was greeted with the same foul smell of the corpses. Inside the bag, there was a rotten head. I assume that it was the princess. Finally, I can go home and take a shower. While I was thinking that, an arrow slipped past me and hit a tree. I turned around and saw Rosario knocking another arrow on her bow. "What are you shooting at?" I asked concerned that she wants to kill me. "A zombie," she said. A zombie jumped down from a tree and began running in our opposite direction. I immediately chased after it, the others not far behind me. "The mission was to get that princess right? We got her head, so let''s go home. Why are you going after this zombie?" asked Esme clearly annoyed. "No, the mission was to escort me for one week and there are still four days left, so quit whining and buff us." "Damn it, [Haste]" After being buffed by Esme, we were getting close to the zombie, when suddenly a wolf ambushed us from the side. It was a good thing that Dean was ready as he blocked the wolf attack with his shield before hitting it with his hammer. "It''s a death hound. Rosario, chase after the zombie. We''ll handle the death hound," Dean commanded his team. "Ok, Dean, be careful," Rosario said as she runs passed us to chase after the zombie. "[Root]" "[Holy Slash], Die you undead fiend," I said with anger in my voice. I slashed its neck with my sword. Its head rolled on the ground. We began searching for Rosario and the zombie. After running for a few minutes we finally found Rosario standing in front of a cave. "Dean, this cave is a dungeon and what happens next will be your decision. Whether we go inside to fight the undead or go back and take the unfinished quest penalty. Whatever you choose I will support you," said Rosario. Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. "Dean, let''s just take the penalty. I don''t want to go to an undead dungeon because it probably smells bad in there," said Esme trying to dissuade Dean. "We can probably get treasure and the dungeon core could help me with my magic, let''s go, Dean," said Layla. "I''m going in there even if you guys won''t go, every single undead must die," I said with hatred in my voice. "Whatever you chose Dean, I will support you," said Rosario trying to comfort Dean. "Let''s go inside, if we don''t stop this undead dungeon it might attack the Evermoon Kingdom," said Dean heroically. As we all entered the dungeon. We formed a diamond formation with Dean at the front as the defender, Rosario and Layla at the left and right side respectively as the long-range damage dealers. Me right behind Dean as the close range damage dealer and back up defender. Lastly, Esme at the back to provide support and buffs. The first room was a mine, there were ores and minerals everywhere but no undead to be seen. We continue deeper inside the dungeon, through the corridor, Rosario told us to stop because she found a trap. It was a pressure plate trap that would cause a stalactite to fall if we step on it. After carefully passing the trap we delve deeper into the dungeon. The next room was a forest filled with animals and plants everywhere. There were even birds and fruit tree and a pond in the room. "I''m beginning to think that this was a nature dungeon that was corrupted by something or someone," said Layla as a matter of fact. "I don''t care, I will kill every undead that I see and anyone practicing necromancy or dark magic." "Cool your head Aiwin, those that are blinded by anger tends to die easily," said Rosario trying to calm me down. "Tch fine, let''s carry on." We went deeper only to find an altar with a skeleton statue right beside it. There was something written on the statue it was something about how you can revive someone if you sacrifice people at the altar. It was disgusting, I will definitely kill anyone or anything that is behind this dungeon. I will let them know the wrath of the Goddess Sole. Every undead here must be killed and this place must be destroyed. When we went deeper into the dungeon there was another stalactite trap at the corridor intersection. We easily avoid it and went deeper and found a graveyard. When we reached the middle of the room we saw undead. It was a squad that looked prepared to fight us. They have a warrior, a scout, and an archer. There were also other regular zombies along with them. Esme buffed our strength, then we started fighting the undead. Layla rooted the undead warrior while I tried to cut off his head. He blocked my sword strike but Dean hit his abdomen with his hammer. I tried to finish the warrior but the scout blocked my attack. Esme was busy killing the regular undead and distracting the undead archer. Dean and I kept on double-teaming the warrior until Dean finally crushed its head. Layla and Rosario were also finished with the other undead. There were arrows sticking out of their heads along with vines and trees destroying the undead archer and scout¡¯s bodies. When I turned around I saw an undead eating Esme''s brain. Due to the chaotic fight, we didn''t notice the undead killing Esme. When the party saw Esme''s corpse they began rushing to the undead and quickly killed it. It looked like the undead closed her mouth and snapped her neck. I saw Dean on the ground crying and holding onto Esme lifeless body. "I''ll kill the one that made this dungeon and sacrifice him on the altar to bring back Esme," he said while crying. "Yeah" Layla and Rosario also chimed in while crying. We found a metal door after going through the corridor. We opened it and went inside, we found a forest room like before, but there were also ores and minerals in this room. It seemed to be the boss room. There was an undead in the middle of the room that was sitting and eating coal. Before we even have time to plan, Dean rushed towards the boss in a blind rage. There were a click and the ground where Dean had stepped on exploded. The boss threw spherical objects in our direction. When I saw that Dean was injured, but fine, one of the spheres exploded. "Bombs, scatter!" I yelled. We all ran in different directions, while the boss ran into the forest. I lost sight of everyone and I began searching for Rosario since she is the most reliable person here. I heard a girly scream and an explosion so I ran towards it. What I found was gruesome, Layla¡¯s body was torn to pieces and if that wasn¡¯t enough, her body was on fire. That monster, Goddess Sole please give me the strength to kill this bastard. Rosario and Dean arrived and saw the scene, Rosario the usually calm person puked when she saw what happened and Dean began to mutter ¡°kill, kill, kill, kill.¡± A canister drop near Layla''s body and purple smoke began to come out. "Poison, let''s get out of here, kill this son of a bitch and make sure not to get separated," I commanded them. They both nodded. While we chased after the boss, it kept throwing firebombs our way. Rosario hit its knee with an arrow that caused it to slow down and stop running. The three of us got close to it and attacked interchangeably. I attacked it with my sword that had been imbued with holy magic while Dean kept defending us from his attacks and Rosario kept attacking him with her daggers. His fists seem to explode every time it hit Dean¡¯s kite shield. Dean¡¯s shield is dented and we were all very tired after fighting the zombie squad and continued to fight the boss. Rosario got careless and stepped on a mine. Causing it to blow her leg right off. "Rosario!" Dean yelled. "Don''t get distracted we can revive her and everyone else after we killed the boss," I told Dean. Dean nodded. We kept attacking the undead. I slashed at its right leg with my sword. After it had been injured, Dean used his hammer to attack it and I used my [Holy Slash] "Die, you monster!" We yelled. Dean destroyed its abdomen while I tried to chop its head off. Even though its head was being chopped at he was smiling. I felt chills on my back. "Dean, defend!" I yelled. "[Stone Skin]" he chanted his spell. After the boss died he immediately exploded. The other landmines began to explode and his firebombs caused the whole room to turn into a flaming inferno. Dean didn''t survive the explosion, but thanks to his [Stone Skin] I managed to survive. I''m not going to die here. I''m going to be a knight and kill all of the undead. I tried to get out of the room that was covered with craters and flames, but it''s getting harder and harder for me to breath. My body felt heavy and my mind is forcing me to sleep. I can''t bear all the pain and I fell down. "Goddess Sole protect me," I said while closing my eyes. Chapter 18 - Lifeless
Adam, are you okay?
"I''m fine, why are you asking Mike?"
You looked crazier than usual. You seemed very happy when you killed those adventurers.
"My instinct told me that tanker is a harem leader and you know the old saying about harem leaders? A good harem leader is a dead harem leader."
Wow, that''s dark but, somehow I agree with that statement.
"Mike I welcome you to the anti harem alliance. Now with that out of the way, let''s take a look at our harvest."

"I learned two things today. One, there are humans in this world. Two, those adventurers were idiots."
There are humans, elves, and dwarves in this world. There are also beastkin, green skin race, and other minor species. They were kind of foolish.
Those adventurers were dumb. They enter a dungeon without any information, they didn''t pace themselves, controlled by their emotions, and their supplies weren''t made to raid a dungeon. I need to take care of their bodies so that people don''t find me. After hearing from Helen about the adventurers just leaving a decoy with bite marks and scratches won''t work since it looks like they can handle them. I should just put adventurer corpses and the giant owl corpse near the pond, so it''ll look like they kill each other. But it''ll only be a temporary solution. I need to finish my second floor because sooner or later they will find me, so I need to be ready when that time comes."So this world has the usual fantasy race."Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author. "Mike, how much mana do I currently have?"
You currently have 192 mana
"That doesn''t sound right. My remaining mana, after I had finished the second floor, my mana was five mana. So I should have 171 mana, not 192 mana."
You forgot to count the mana that your monster give you when they die. When the zombie squad died you absorbed them for half their cost. You usually don''t notice since the mana they give was negligible.
"That changes everything. I have an idea for the third floor now, that can strengthen my monster and give me a lot of mana. No, no, no don''t get distracted I need to finish what I''m doing right now." I should continue creating my second floor. The only thing I have right now is a room connecting the second floor to the first floor and the core room. "Mike, I want to make the second floor into a desert theme dungeon, how do I do that more specifically how do Icreate a desert room?"
There are four types of desertlayout that you can create, such as a hot, cold, semi-arid, and coastal desert. But I''m guessing you probably want to know about thehot desert?
"I didn''t know that there are different types of desert. Yes, I want to make a hot desert."
It''s pretty easy actually. You only need to create a sandy or dry land, place fire crystals on the ceilingand the underground of the room. That will create a room that resembles a desert.
After learning how to create a desert room, I tried to create one by myself. First, I placed fire crystals on the ceiling and underground. Second, I began to shape the room using sand and dry land I created small hills and barren land. Third, I added two more room and corridors with the same design but with slight variations. Lastly, I added patches of grass, trees, and a small lake with fishes to create an oasis. All of this expansion cost me 150 mana. The rooms and corridors were by far the most expensive since it needed 30 mana for a desert room and 20 mana for a desert corridor. To create an oasis, it took me 20 mana.

Damn, it''s still a long way before I''ll be able to drink liquor, I should buy the bar to prepare for when that time comes.I should also buy the mastaba since it''s a graveyard I might be able to spawn a new type of undead. Other than that the other construction upgrades wouldn''t benefit me all that much. "I''ll purchase the bar and the mastaba then."
Name Your Bar
"Mike, men are often asked what is the most important day in their life?" "The day they met their loved one." "The day when they hold their baby for the first time." "The day they were born." "All of this answers are wrong, the most important day in a man''s life is the day he names his bar." "I shall call you Lifeless." Chapter 19 - A Girls Best Friend *Helen''s POV* Am I useful? I''ve been asking myself this question the past few days. I was tasked with scouting enemies and mapping the forest. But because of my inadequacy, my friend died. I''ve been thinking about that day, what could I have done any different that could''ve changed the outcome? Should I have stayed and fought? Should I have ordered my death hound not to attack? I don''t know. I still don''t know if I did the right thing or not. But I know one thing, that is I am weak. I was the only one that hasn''t evolve from the undead trio. Frank''s a leader that has been providing mana for my lord. Butch''s now a boss monster he protects my lord from harm. I couldn''t protect my friend, how am I suppose to protect my lord or be helpful to my lord? I need to get stronger so that I could be of help to my lord. Evolving is my best bet in becoming stronger. When I was with my death hound, I had this feeling that''s hard to describe. It felt like I had wings. The battle felt easier and quicker when I had a partner. Now that feeling is lost. That should be where I start, trying to get that feeling back. But before that, there is somewhere that I had to go. Here I am again. The place where my death hound and I first fought together. I remembered it like it was yesterday. The stompingof the owl that seemed to shake the ground. It''s wings that cut trees like it was butter. And it''s roar that struck fear into theenemy''s heart. But in the end, we were able to defeat that giant owl. We always came here after our scouting trip. We sat near the pond and enjoyed the moment. Maybe the reason I liked you so much was thatyou reminded me of myself. We don''t talk much and when we talk people don''t understand what we said. I couldn''t think of a better place than here to put your headstone. I gathered rocks and thenstacked them together to make a small tower. I promise you that I won''t let your sacrifice be in vain. I''ll be stronger for the both of us. Strong enough to protect my lord and the people I Iove. Rest in peace my friend, may our lord Adam watched over you in your next life. While I was saying goodbye to my friend something unexpected took place. A monster appeared out of the forest. It came near the pond and proceeded to drink from it. I have never seen this monster. It was a white horse with a black mane and a spiral horn atop its forehead. It was majestic when I saw it I felt that wings like feeling. I know I need to know more about that feeling. I tried to approach it. When I got close to it, it ran away. It was faster than any animals I have ever seen, even a wolf. That was even more amazing since this was a forest. The uneven ground and roots should have slowed it down, but it galloped like it was an open field with nothing in its way. After the event took place, I went back to the dungeon and told my lord all about that monster. Frank had to translate everything I said. I couldn''t even talk to my lord by myself.Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. "From what you describe that monster seems to be a unicorn." "A unicorn?" "It is a mythical monster that is said to have healing properties. The myth said that unicorn blood could increase your lifespan and its horn could cure any diseases." I want this unicorn to be my partner. I felt like I could reach my evolution if I had it with me. So I told my lord that it might be a guardian and that I would like to capture it. I told mylord about how useless I was. I hope I could restore your trust in me after what had happened with the adventurers and getting my death hound killed. "Helen, I''m sorry I didn''t know you felt that way. It wasn''t your fault that your death hound died. He died protecting you, so I think he didn''t die with regret protecting your friend is one of the noblest ways to die. As for my trust, you never lost it. It''s fine if you want to hunt that unicorn. You should bring Butch and Frank with you to be safe." "Thank you, my lord." After hearing those words from my lord, it felt like I lost a huge burden off my back. I would use the best of my abilities to capture this unicorn dead or alive. With Frank and Butch by my side, there''s nothing we couldn''t do. That''s what I thought, but after three days it became frustrating. The unicorn was unlike any guardian we''ve ever seen. The moment it saw us, it ran away immediately. It also felt like he could sense danger, so whenever we tried to set up a sneak attack, it never worked. Today it would be different we would finally capture this unicorn dead or alive. We split up and then I appeared in front of the unicorn. When it saw me, it ran in the other direction. Frank was waiting for it with his sword and shield. The unicorn was fast enough to saw Frank and went left. Butch was waiting for it and began throwing at it. It immediately does a U-turn and runs as fast as it could. It thought it had escaped our pursuit when explosions were triggered. That''s when I smiled. When we saw the unicorn again, its hind leg was destroyed, because of the explosion. We ambushed it knowing it would outmaneuver us, so we placed traps that would use its speed against it. Because it lost one of its legs, it can''t get up because his legs can''t support the weight of his body. We proceed to bring it to the dungeon. We present it to our lord that seems to be happy after seeing our triumphant return. "Helen, you should have the honor of killing it. It was because of your plan that we were able to capture the unicorn," said Frank. I nodded. I used my dagger to pierce his brain trying to give it a fast death. Lights began to fade from the unicorn''s eyes. Then it died. "Looks like I got mana and new monsters. Corrupted Unicorn. Here you go, Helen, you deserve it." A unicorn appeared in front of me. It was black with blue eyes and a spiraling horn that has the color of ivory. "I''ll name you Bas."

"Do you want to evolve, Helen?" She nodded. I pressed the evolve button, Helen began her transformation. I always liked seeing this. The cosmetic change to their clothes is interesting. The transformation changes their clothes and armor to better suited their new form. Even though there aren''t any upgrades to their armor or weapons, it is still fun to watch. "Did I get shorter after my evolution?" said Helen. Wow, she looked awesome. Helen wore leather armor with a skirt and knee socks all with the color black. She also has two daggers strapped to her legs and long black cloak. All the black color make a good contrast for her white skin. The most amusing thing was that she had a blue fire in burning in her eyes the same with her unicorn. Also, she was carrying her head. "I''m laughing my head off right now, Helen," said Butch. "Butch, that physically hurts and that shouldn''t be possiblebecauseI''m an undead," said Frank. "Congratulations on your evolution Helen and it''s nice now that I can talk to you." "I''m grateful my lord. It''s going to take some time to get used to carrying my head and talking." "Boss?" "Yes, Butch?" "That unicorn was another guardian right?" asked Butch. "Yes, he was. It said, Guardian of the Animals after I absorbed it." "So where is the chest that we get after defeating a guardian." "Shit I forgot about it. Look for it near the place you found the unicorn." The chest was inside a hollow part of a tree near where they defeated the unicorn. Inside the chest, there were leather armor set, a whip, two daggers, a skill book, and a normal book. The skill book contains the [Free Running] skill, a skill that allows its user to run freely without being impeded by their environment, so it''s a parkour running skill. The book was a leather book with a unicorn of the cover. Every guardian we defeated always have a book on their chest. There wasn''t any explanation for the book when I absorbed them. I wondered how many guardians are there left and what will I find after defeating them and collecting all their books? "Mike, how much mana do I have right now?"
You currently have 57 mana.
"Hmmm, not enough for expansion but enough to upgrade my buildings." I realized that I haven''t been upgrading my building since I made them and only been expanding my dungeon. I needed to balance my dungeon size with my facilities usefulness. Let''s take a look at my facility and what I need to upgrade. I should probably start from all my monster spawner.Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. "Mike, can you show me the available upgrades for my morgue, death hound den, and the mastaba?"
Buildings Upgrades Morgue Spawn one zombie per day. (10 mana) Increase the likelihood that zombie will evolve. (20 mana) Death Hound Den Spawn one death hound per day. (10 mana) Increase the likelihood that death hound will evolve. (20 mana) Mastaba Spawn one mummy per day. (10 mana) Increase the likelihood that mummy will evolve. (20 mana)
I decided to upgrade all of the spawn rates since it is really useful. I decided to not buy the evolution chance just yet. Now it''s time for my favorite building upgrade. "Mike, can you show me the upgrade for the bar?"
Buildings Upgrades Bar (Lifeless) Unlocked undead specialty drinks (5 mana) Unlocked new types of drinks. (5 mana) Upgrade bar equipment. (5 mana)
I decided to buy all of the upgrades for the bar. When I did that the bar began to change. New bottles lining the shelf, new equipment like a cocktail shaker, jigger cups, and those twisty spoons. I saw different types of drinks and liquor like blackberry juice, apple cider, and drinks I''ve never seen before. The coolest thing about the upgrade was there are now what seemed to be blood on a bottle, a brain inside a jar, and gunpowder barrels. Now it feels like a bar for the undead. The zombie that I made to act as the bartender looked very happy after I upgraded the bar. I should probably look at what happened to the other buildings now that I upgraded them. The morgue now has new freezers lining the walls and one more autopsy table. The Den now has animal skins for where they sleep and a fireplace in the middle of the room. The mastaba has the least amount of changes only the number of coffins increased inside of it. It''s a shame that the spawn changes would happen tomorrow it would be cool if I can see a mummy right now. I should spawn a mummy because I have mana to spare. I chose the monster option and picked mummy. Light began to shine inside the core room. "Mike, you''re looking at this right?" I asked confused.
Yes, I''m looking at it.
"So did the system broke or I didn''t put enough mana?"
No, the system is working. The mana you used to create it is also the right amount.
"So can you tell me why am I looking at a 5-year-old girl that wore a bad toilet paper costume instead of a mummy?"
I don''t know.
"I want a refund!"
I can''t do that.
"Good morning, father," she said with a smile. "Father, do you not like me?" she said with tears in her eyes. Oh no, she must have heard what I said about her. Dammit, I can''t let a 5-year-old girl cry. What kind of person would I be then? "No sweetheart, I like you just the way you are. Forget what I said earlier I was dumb. Why don''t you play with your big sister Helen?" "Ok, bye bye father." she waved while walking with Helen. Dominus, what are you doing? I''m not equipped in handling kids. That bastard is probably laughing right now in his office. I swear I''ll kick his ass when I see him again. In all of the commotion today I forgot to look at Helen''s and the mummy''s status. Let''s look at it now.

Skill
[Zombie Virus II] [Limit Break]
[Riding] Skill and [Shadow Weapon] Skillsseems self-explanatory, one helped with the user riding skill and the other allows the user to create a weapon out of shadow using mana. Looks like a mummy is just like a zombie but with an increase in zombie virus. Now, how do I take care of a child? Chapter 21 - The Last Guardian I had been watching the mummy for a few days. It looked like nobody needs to take care of her because she was a badass. She had been hunting with Helen for the past few days. Her agility and quick thinking made up for hersmall stature and short reach. I got a chance to watch her hunt a deer by herself. She used her bandages to swung on trees and also choke the deer with it. Her small size and big eyes remind me of a spider monkey. Helen also grew stronger since her evolution. She hunted wolf packs by herself. She and her unicorn decimated them. Her weapon of choice was daggers made from her new found skill [Shadow Mastery]. Her unicorn wasn''t a slouch either It used its horns to stampede through enemies and its hoofs to trample all over the enemies. They were an unstoppable combo. A new mummy spawned a few days ago. I didn''t know if I should laugh or cry when I saw him. It was an old man. I didn''t even know he was there until Mike point it out. There he was crawling on the sand outside of the mastaba. He couldn''t even walk before I gave him a cane. He looked like a feeble old man with his hunched back and scrawny limbs. What good is [Limit Break] if your body looked like it''s about to break? Well, I shouldn''t judge a book by its cover. Frank''s squadfound a small settlement near the mushroom grove. It was a mushroom tribe. They were cute in a dangerous sort of way. Their small size, big round eyes, and toxic, acidic, fiery breath made reminded me of a teddy bear, a psychopathic teddy bear. There might be a guardian living there. I sent Frank''s squad, Butch, Helen, and her mummy to investigate. It was overkill but, I can never be too careful. The momentthe undead got close to the settlement they began attacking. Well, fight fire with fire. Since they were using literal fire, I let Butch threw his firebomb as a way to fight back. They attacked with their crude wooden spear and breath attack. Frank was at the front line defending with Butch and Helen by his side throwing explosive and daggers. The skeleton archer was in the back sniping mushroom left and right while the mummy was running around maiming and choking mushrooms. The mushrooms attacked by using their numbers, for every one the undead take down two would take its place. It was a good thing that they were undead because the mushroom not only had breath attacks, they also had gas attacks. The gases didn''t affect them since they were undead, other creature would have probably died of poisoning, toxic cloud, or fell asleep from sleeping gas. The number of mushrooms started to diminish. There was a mushroom at the back holding a staff that was commanding the other mushrooms. It had a black cap with red spots and a skull symbol on it. The only thing it was missing was red arrows pointing at it to know that it was the boss.Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. The skeleton archer hit the boss with explosive arrows. It was pissed, it chanted and its staff start to glow black. The black light hit right on the skeleton chest. It did absolutely nothing. Everyone was confused by it. The boss, the archer, and the undead squad. They were waiting for something to happen, but it never did. The mushroom even hit its staff a few time to checkif it worked. The undead squad continued to systematically slaughter the mushroom until eventually, they killed the boss. It ended quite anticlimactically. As long as we won and the undead was unharmed. It was time to search for loot and corpse absorption time. They gathered the mushroom corpses and the guardian''s chest and brought it back to the dungeon.

The Forest Sage? The Forest Sage Treasure? That was the purpose of those books. Neat. I should probably look into that treasure. Before that, I needed to add a new room in the dungeon. Some idea popped into my head thanks to the forest sage book. The mana increase will help me make the idea a reality. First, I added three new desert rooms on thesecond floor. Just like that 90 mana went poof. I also created broken stone pillars and columns to resemble ruins. Since every great desert always had ruins on them, I also spawn a few mummies to wander around the ruins. Lastly, something that I wasn''t too sure I should create. I created a wooden wagon. I put alcohol and potions inside it. I asked the old man mummy and the two mummies that spawned out of the mastaba to roam around the desert with the wagon. They agreed and started doing that immediately. It was then pulled by the two mummies, while the old man sat on the driver seat. It was time to search for the forest sage treasure. It was pretty easy to look for since we had the map. Afterthe undead followed it, the treasure chest was beneath a tree stump. The chest contains a book and a green orb. Hopefully, all of my question aboutthe forest sage and the guardian will have an answer after I absorb the treasure.

What the hell? I hope it doesn''t count as an invasion of privacy if I read his diary. Chapter 22 - Diary Of A Druid Kid Year 0 How should I start this? Speed, I am speed. Lion King Opening Theme. The clock struck 13. Let''s start with death and a truck driver because every great story always had death and a truck driver. Either that or should I start from when I was born, every hero needs an origin story. My name is ..., was Virgil Howell. I was an ordinary high school student. Well, "ordinary" might not be the right word to describe me. I was born prematurely. I was diagnosed with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia or in a real people language it''s called chronic lung disease. It means that I had underdeveloped lungs and my body had limited muscle strength and energy for breathing. So, I spend most of my childhood in a hospital bed. I didn''t go to school like other children, because of my condition tutors hired by my parents taught me inside the hospital. I didn''t talk to people my age often, the only time I talked to people my age was when there are other sick kids in my hospital wing. I became friends with them but, when they got better they left one by one and I was left all one. After the nth time of being left behind, I stopped trying to make friends. I turned to novels and movies to fill my void. It was my solace, my escape from the hospital and reality. The hospital garden was my other escape because looking at bright flowers was a nice change of pace from the grey hospital walls and the smell of alcohol and bleach. I still want to have friends even though I know it would be better to give up. I never asked for things from my parents. I already saw how hard they work to take care of me and made sure that I was loved, I didn''t want to burden them further. But for once I want to be selfish, I asked my parents if I could go to high school. To my surprise, they said yes. They were happy for me, my parents that I should be more selfish and not just accept things as they are. They said that was the least they could do to lessen my burden, I cried tears of joy knowing that I was loved. Finally, I was 16 years old ready for my first day of school. It was the greatest or worst day of my life depending on who you ask. I was on my way to school when I saw a bunch of kids playing football. The ball rolled to the street, one of the kids tried to pick it up, while he was distractedby the ball, he didn''t notice a truck speeding in his direction. I didn''t know what came over me. I pushed the kid out of harm''s way after that everything went black. The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was a white wall with a sign that read "You are dead we will be with you in a moment.". That can''t be true I was on my way to school and then ... blank. A woman came up to me and said that they were expecting me. She told me that a God was waiting for me and that he would explain everything. I followed her since I didn''t know how to make sense out of this. We arrived at an office where a man wearing a Hawaiian shirt, short khaki pants, and Birkenstock was waiting for us. "He''s God?" I asked the woman in denial. She said yes that unfortunately, the man in front of them was God. I became an atheist at that moment or is it agnostic? He explained to me that, his name was Dominus and he was a God from a world called Mondo and he wanted me to reincarnated into his world. I told him that he was crazy and that I want to go back, I didn''t believe what they told me, about me being dead. I have my parents waiting for me, a new school, and all the new friends that I was going to make. When I didn''t cooperate with them, they showed me a screen showing how I died. I died saving a child, at that moment the realization hits me, I was dead. I cried mostly for my parents, how devastated they must be that I died, how I was a burden to them till the very end, I didn''t get to repay them for all their kindness. The woman tried to console me. She said that my parents would be proud to know that the son that they raised would put the life of a child instead of his own. Life still goes on. I wished I could have said goodbye to my parents. "You want me to reincarnate to your world, does that mean you want me to be a hero?" I asked Dominus. He straight out laughs at me. He said that I read too many novels. The reason he wants me to reincarnate into his was that he thought that it would be interesting. After talking to him for sometimes, he explained to me a little bit about his world. It was a fantasy world filled with monsters, magic, and fantasy races. We came to an agreement that I would reincarnate into an elf ina village called Evermoon. He would buff my nature magic to make it easier for me to learn and use it and a complete understanding of the elven language. After all of it was done, I said my thanks and goodbye. Year 1 Istrian Vendan that was my new name as an elf. That was what they called me when it was feeding time. It was hard to find a moment of clarity because the only time I was awake was when I was hungry or pooped my pants. During my feeding time, I got a chance to look around. It seems that I was kept in a nursery because there were other babies in the room, either sleeping on their cradle or being fed by the caretakers. That was how a year of my life passed. Eat, Sleep, Poop, Repeat. Year 2 It looked like elf mentality mature faster than human. I finally got a chance to go to school, it wasn''t exactly how I imagined it, but it was what I always wanted. We learned about our language, the history of elf, and about our village. It was weird looking at babies quietly listening to the teacher lesson. Just a few months of school and all the otherbabieskids were able to speak in elven. It was amazing to see, I was able to speak and write in elven because of my blessing, but they learned it when they were 1-year-old. It just goes to show how amazing their mentality developed. Year 8 I finally learn about elf body development. I was pretty sad. Elves had three growth spurt. The first was when they were 1-10 years old, their bodiesdeveloped and stopped when they looked like 5-year-old. The second was when they were 11-20 years old, their bodies developed and stopped when they looked like 12-year-old. The last was when they were 21-30 years old, their bodies developed and stopped when they looked like 18-year-old. After that, every 100 years they would look older and older. So that means I would have a baby face even when I''m 20 years old. I also learned that an elf was considered an adult afterthey were 130 years old.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. The other thing that I noticed that every elf that was born, was raised in a community center. They believed that every elf that must be taught and treated equally, since the birth rate of elves are low. So no parents weren''t able to keep their children. That was why I wasn''t so attached with my parents because the elves believe that their whole community was their family. Year 14 I reached my second growth spurt. I still looked like a kid though. I started learning magic today. Year 18 My teacher told that I was a natural at nature magic and I would become a great druid one day. Well, I had a God''s blessing, so it was only natural that I exceed in nature magic. Year 25 I finally reached my third growth spurt. Even though I was 25 years old, I still looked like a kid. I learned that you have to be an adult and pass a test to leave the village. So that means I''m stuck here until I''m 130 years old. Year 31 Continue to train my nature magic. Year 52 Continue to train nature magic. Year 64 Bored. Year 78 Bored. Year 85 Bored. Year 93 I thought 16 years stuck in a hospital was boring, but this was excruciating. After 50 years, you would know everyone and every place inside Evermoon village. After 70 years, magic became boring if you can''t use it against any monsters. My 130 felt so far away and yet so close. The passage of time felt weird when you were an elf. Year 130 Finally, the day I had been waiting for 100 years. It was my birthday, time for thetest. I was nervous and excited if I do well on the test I can finally see the world. There was three test that we must complete, the written test, the practical test, and the battle test. The written test was easy enough basic mathematics, and how would we react to certain situations. It tests our reason and logic. The practical test was to see our survival skill, things like how to set up a camp, herbalism, cooking. Things that we would need to survive outside of the village. Finally, the battle test I was always the greatest fighter thanks to my magic training and the blessing Dominus gave me. I passed all the test with flying color. I was ready to travel the world. To see what it had in store for me. After months of traveling, villages after villages, town after town, I''ve arrived. Tre Dea, the elven capital kingdom named after The Three Elven Goddess. It was breathtaking, a whole kingdom building atop giant trees using the power of nature magic. Bridges connecting one tree to another, people walking everywhere, houses at the trunk of the tree. This place looked like the super-sized version of Evermoon village. It was time for me to register as an adventurer. Tre Dea would be the start of the adventurer Istrian Vendan. Year 230 It has been a long time since my last entry. The past 100 years had been exciting. Becoming an adventurer was the best decision I ever made. Traveling all over the world, fighting monsters, meeting new people there was never a moment of boredom. I have been to the most amazing of places a whole city made inside of a mountain, an island filled with dragons, a sky city, even a secret undead city. I had been an adventurer for a long time, fighting monsters, dungeon crawling, looking for treasures, I did it all. I even got S-rank adventurer badge and the archdruid title. It wasn''t always fun though, a lot of pain and sadness happened along the way, losing friends to old age, monster attacks, and all the scars from battle. I guess it was time for me to quit and left it all to the young one now. I guess I should just become a researcher now. All of the most beautiful places that I been to through the years have all one thing in common. They were all dungeons. Dungeons had a certain kind of beauty and dangers to it. Unbelievable landscapes, places that defy the law of physics even more than usual, hordes of monsters and traps, and loads of treasures. All of the benefits and disasters that dungeon had given to us and we know so little about it. I''ve met a lot of people on my journey friends, foes, lovers, and family. I wasn''t the only person that came from another world. There had been others, people that reincarnated, summoned, travel to through world. We were called Traveler. It wasn''t a very creative nickname I know. A Traveler story about her life convinced me in becoming a dungeon researcher. She was a human that reincarnated from Earth after she died from a truck accident after saving a kid. That story seemed familiar. There wasn''t anyone that was reincarnated by Dominus from every Traveler that I met. There was also no Dominus in the human, elven, and dwarven pantheon. Who was he? Oh yeah, the Traveler that knew Dominus was a dungeon. Year 231 Home sweet home. I took a scenic route home, visiting every dungeon that I could to learn more about them. It had been very educational. I classified dungeons into three types. The first is natural forming dungeons. Dungeon core formed by mana that accumulated for a long time. The second is monster den dungeons. Dungeon core formed inside a queen/king type monster after a sufficient amount of mana and monster grows inside the monster den. The third is Dominus dungeons. Dungeons created by Dominus by putting a soul inside a dungeon core. The third one needed further research and only one known type three dungeon that I know. My friend Diana. Year 232 Decided to move my research lab away from Evermoon and into the forest since the village has grown since I was here and I didn''t want to hurt anybody with my research. I should start experimenting with plentiful and easy to replace things. A mushroom should do. Year 249 I made a mistake. I shouldn''t have started with mushroom. I succeeded in creating a monster, but they are butt ugly. Myconid mushroom hybrid monster. It was a good thing that they still my command or I would have to destroy them. Year 256 I finished creating the magic for the plants in the dungeon. It took a lot of trials and errors, but I finally did it. A lot of trees were sacrificed to finish the plant magic. A treant was proof that I succeeded. Year 264 I finished creating the magic for the animals and monster in the dungeon. A giant owl and a unicorn from a regular owl and horse, I would call that a success. Year 300 I finally finished creating the prototype dungeon core. The loot and trap system took a while to make, but I still made it. It still lacks one thing to be called a dungeon. The ability to affect its surrounding. It can create monsters, plants, loot, and traps, but it can''t create room, floor, boss room. Things that make a dungeon a dungeon. Year 310 Can''t do it. Year 325 Still can''t do it. Year 333 I probably need a break. Year 348 I decided to meet my old friend Diana to help me in finishing this project. Last Will I don''t want to be dramatic but if you found it either means I''m dead or you found my secret chest. I hide my chest inside the forest. I hide the map in chest protected by my four guardians. If you are reading this, it meant that you defeat them. Good job to you. Well, anyway everything you found inside my chest and the guardian''s chest is now yours. You can do whatever you want with them. Under one condition, as a God with a Hawaiian shirt once told me "Do something interesting with them.". Love, Istrian Vendan. P.S. Burn all theporn... the exotic book you found inside my research chest. Spoiler:Dungeon Map Floor 2 Chapter 23 - Tentacles It was a lot to take in. The diary was an eye opener for Adam. The reason an unusually large quantity of animals and monsters lived was that of Istrian experiment and his artificial core that boosted the natures growth. The mystery of the guardian was also solved. And the reason this place was called the forbidden forest was also that of him and his experiment. It was interesting how every single mystery and questions Adam''s had so far was somehow related to Istrian Vendan. But with answers, comes more questions. Is Istrian still alive? It must have been a long time since he left his diary because, in his diary, he refers to Evermoon as a village, but Lucia was the princess of Evermoon Kingdom. It might be two different places, but that was highly unlikely. That means Evermoon had the time to grow into a kingdom since Istrian left. Adam was also very interested in all of the places that Istrian visited. Sky City, Dragon Island were they dungeons? The part that he was most curious about was definitely, the secret undead city. Just thinking about all those undead causes him to smile. The things Istrian mentions about Dominus worries him. How many people did Dominus reincarnate to Mondo? How many did he turn into a dungeon? Most importantly, how many did he run over with his truck and cut short their time on Earth? Looking back on it Dominus was shady as hell, why did I make a deal with him? But out of all of the question that I had, the most important of them was should I read the exotic book before burning them? Thereare codes between gentlemen about what to do about a gentlemen book collection when he went missing or passed away. It usually ends with burning, destroying, or deleting their collection. Istrian only said to burn it, but he didn''t say that not to look at it. After he found the loophole, he called Butch into the core room. He asked for Butch to turn the pages of the exotic book. After five minutes and a series of uncomfortable and funny questions from Butch like "why are they face battling?" I told Butch to burn the book which he did. How does the elf body bend like that? That book confirmed one thing, he doesn''t have any sexual drive. When he was looking at the erotic pictures, he was more interested in how were those positions possible rather than getting aroused. Maybe elves just weren''t his fetish, but that was impossible since elves are everybody fetish. With that confirmed, Adam had lost three out of the four things that made me happy. He can''t sleep unless he counted getting knocked out by spending all of his mana as sleeping. He can''t eat anything other than mana. Absorbing would be more accurate since mana doesn''t have any taste. He also confirmed that he doesn''t have any sexual arousal and he can''t pitch a tent. He only had his undead now, if he lost them he would be very pissed and those that hurt them would be dead. But Mike told him there was a way for him to get a new body if he were to reach the fifth floor, so maybe there is hope him. The new monsters that the artificial dungeon core brought with it would be very handy. Since Adam didn''t know what to add on his desert floor, looking at the new monsters, loot, and traps might give him a way to spark his imagination. "Mike, can you make a list of desert type monster from the new artificial dungeon core?"
With pleasure, Adam.
"Thanks, you''re the best."
Monster
DesertIf you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Cactus Assassin: 10 mana Cactus Dryad: 15 mana ... ... ... ... ...
"Wow, that''s a lot of choices. You know what we should do, Mike?"
Look at the monsters advantages and disadvantages and choose what would compliment our current floors monster lineup.
"No, that makes way too much sense. I''m just gonna close my eyes and choose one at random," said Adam with a toothy grin. He closes his eyes, scrolls the monster list and chose a monster at random. Desert Hyacinth was where it landed. It sounds like a cool monster, so he purchased it and put it at the back of the floor without even looking at its description. He immediately regretted his decision after looking at the monster. A six-meter hole opened up and from it a four-meter a pyramid-shaped spike filled with yellow blooms appeared. But something more insidious began popping up from the root of the flower and inside the yellow blooms. Tentacles, sticky, slimy, green colored tentacles. Why did it have to be tentacles? It was already too late to regret it. It had better have good status for looking that disgusting.

Holy shit, it has a gruesome way of fighting his enemies. Those skills are pretty self-explanatory. It may look repulsive, but it was his creation so, maybe he shouldn''t be too hard on it. He just hoped it doesn''t grope scantily clad women in the wrong places. It only took 20 mana to make this thing, that cost decrease for monster comes in handy. Adam look at the list once more since he still has 81 mana to burn. He decided to purchase Cactus Assassin since it sounded interesting, for a desert floor, this place had a lack of cactus. Alright, Dominus was messing with him. Adam decided to buy another Cactus Assassin to see if Dominus was genuinely messing with him. Yup, that asshole was making fun of me. "Mike, is Dominus messing with me?"
No, I don''t think so. Why are you asking?
"Hmmm, if he wasn''t fucking with me, why did he named a monster after assassins which are known for their stealth with this? Cactus with handlebar mustaches and wearing sombreros. It''s not stealthy and kinda racist."
Well, you never know with Dominus. But the reason their mustaches and hats are showing is that they are in battle mode. When they are in stealth mode, they look like any other cactus.
"I don''t even know how to respond to that answer. Sure, whatever," said Adam tired and defeated. Adam decided to stop buying monsters, so he doesn''t get a headache. With 61 mana left he decided to make a boss room with it. One mana was all he had after he finished creating the boss room. "Now, who wants to be the boss?" Spoiler: Dungeon Map Floor 2
