 Chapter 1

    In the morning he visited to me, he sat by my side to say that i will have a younger sibling, but i will still be the heir of the Baronet. I told him that I was happy and that i would be the best big brother. He smiled, mommy who was watching by the door looked a bit less angry.

    I went to play with Caroline the butler daughter, our butler is a lesser noble, from a knight family they don¡¯t own lands, so they can only work for other nobles.

    Uncle George and Caroline have their rooms in our mansion. Caroline and me do exactly the same things, we eat, train, bath, and sometimes sleep together.

    When i was born every one thought i was blind, but the problem was that i couldn¡¯t control my eyes. i can see and hear through everything when the power from my eyes is active.

    I began to see like other people one year ago. Last year, i went with dad to grandpa tomb and i meet with grandpa soul who was dissolving. I was looking at him, he weaved his hand to me while smiling so i did the same, he stopped and his face looked like he had seen a ghost.

    Grandpa went to see me that night, we talked about my power. I explained him everything about the strange things i could see and hear. I told him, i saw worlds that were far away in the sky.

    First Grandpa asked me to look around to find a solution for his dissolving spirit, i saw a blade in a world that had a spirit like grandpa and was feeding itself on Qi. In our world we only have mana, so I told grandpa to do the same, he couldn¡¯t. I continued to look for solution and saw a pendant spirit feeding on the mana and another energy of his holder, that person was sick because of it.

    I told it to grandpa and he told me to feed him to see if it worked. It worked but it took a lot of my mana but Grandpa spirit got his legs back!

    When grandpa touched me, he could see what i saw but it took a bit more of my mana. Thank to this shared vision Grandpa and me became observers of other worlds.

    We learned a lot of things and now i am 8 years old. I know a lot about magic and body training but i only use it if grandpa is here.

 Chapter 2

    Grandpa is stronger thank to his quotidian mana dose. He look around the Baronet through the day and come to observe new worlds with me at night.

    Grandpa said he was preparing a plan for the baronet based on the new knowledge. Since our Territory is on the border near the monster empire we don¡¯t have a lot of visitors, merchants come every six months. The road between us and the nearest city is full of magic beast, and sometimes monster raid the land near the border, moreover our baronet is quite poor which don¡¯t attract merchants.

    Our Baronet has 2 entries one on the west and the only entry that is currently used, the second to the south it lead to the ocean it is really hard walk down to the shore.

    In the north, the east and the south there is three mountains, on each a village has been constructed and in the middle of all of it a valley with Bladebreaker city in the center.

    Our baronet is really grand 3/4 of a Count territory but really impracticable, it took a long time to grandpa to reclaim the lands. Between the north and south mountain there is a large wall to stop monster and bandits invasion.

    The flanks of the mountains are dangerous to climb and are rarely used as point of invasion, nonetheless patrol still go there everyday to look for trace of potential enemies. It was easy to defend it from an invasion.

    He wants to first develop the village around the Bladebreaker city since nobody outside the baronet citizen go there, second to develop the baronet army a Baron is allowed to have 500 soldiers, but our poverty limit us to 50 soldiers which limit our diplomacy, dad can¡¯t visit or respond to invitation from other nobles because to leave he needs guards, that would leave the baronet with a very limited protection.

    Once we are strong enough to keep our wealth, we will develop the city. Grandpa was seduced by Earth Industry, he wants to do something like that by exchanging electricity by mana. He said the humans of earth are on suicide path.

    My days went like that training, learning and peeking to other worlds. Grandpa changed my knight training to match with otherworld Qi refiners, now mana change my blood, my bones, my organs, before it was only muscles and skins were trained. As for magic Grandpa couldn¡¯t help me so i trained a lot to master all the difference way to use it.

    Two months after dad came back from his Two years of war against the monster empire, the elf aunt gave birth to a little girl. I began my work as a big brother, thank to my eyes i could see my sister even if i was in the mansion.

    I began to ask to go to see her everyday, i couldn¡¯t go alone so guards would come with me. After a few days i began to complain because it was too far and aunt Elise house was too small for me to sleep there.

    I did that for 3 months, it was really annoying so i asked for my sister Eva to be moved to the mansion. Moreover, my father belong to Duke Landerson faction who controls a lot of military power, all the noble on the east which is the border with the Monster Empire are in this faction. My parents trip will last for a long time since he will stop a lot.

My father is a silver knight, a good military officer and he his in the good grace of current Landerson Duke and the also the old Duke.

    Winter has passed and spring is coming, during these two years Grandpa and i prepared a new agricultural plans, now our baronet went toward higher legumes and fruits productivity.

    Caroline followed my father to learn how to manage a Baronet, she got to see the change too. In permaculture the first year is observation of the lands and the environment to see how it react and the second year is to began the culture.

    We gave up the observation step and directly planted, the first year the production of food increase by 4 times, a lot of unused land have been reclaimed during that year, new agricultural lands would be used. We built greenhouse to grow seed in security, and to have some food growing in winter.

    This year we hope to increase again our food production to export it out of the baronet. We plan to sell fruits during the end of summer the extra will be transformed and sell as jam.

    Grandpa and i stole a lot of recipe from earth, the food development is far higher than us. We stole the way of making butter, before goat were used for meat now we use them for milk too. We copied the recipe for cr¨ºpes too, it will become our baronet speciality!

    Grandpa decided to stop to agricultural improvement until i do my military service. My duties for the following months are, to control the process of planting seed, organizing the soldiers patrol, read their reports and to arbitrate in case of conflict between citizens.

    Depending of when my father return i might have to negotiate with the merchants, they will come in the end of June.

    The head of soldiers Bernard is a veteran of war, i asked him if he needed my help to manage the soldiers and patrol, he laughed and said that i could train without worry. i asked that in case of monster or bandit attack he had to alert me.

    After 3 years of training both Caroline and me were able to grow to copper skin level, however with the new method its all my body that became copper my blood has a copper tint in it.

 Chapter 3

    Today Grandpa asked me to use my eyes to look for ores in the mountains, in the east there is an iron mine which is exploited by Nero village.

    The examination revealed Nothing in the south, the east mine don¡¯t only counts iron but silver too, its a lot deeper than the iron. In the north mountain their was various ores scattered through the mountain but there was a little deposit of mana crystal near the surface.

    Grandpa was quite happy to learn about the silver and the crystal deposit. This will let us earn the amount of gold coins needed to assist the development of the baronet.

    Since no one was home i decided to go to hunt small magical beast to harvest their magic core to train enchantment. In the mountains there are small rabbit, foxes, eagles and which are low level magic beast.

    Caroline decided to come with me, we took 3 soldiers with us.

    Once in the mountains, the trees became taller, bush and foliage could hide life. Thanks to my eyes i could see beyond, i looked for a prey. We took a short pause to let me find ? track of a prey ?, i saw normal rabbits, snakes and birds in the outer perimeter of the forest.

    However, in the middle of the mountains near the crystal deposit more magic beasts could be found. We had to create our way because no-one goes there, i went first with a machete in hand, the soldiers in the middle and Caroline closed the march.

    As the two strongest people we had to take the bigger risk. Every soldier is a cost for the Baronet, we can¡¯t afford to lose them to a sneak attack of a wild animal.

    In fact, i was not really the chief of this hunt party, grandpa was there, he came to instruct me of the weakness of the local magic beast. Asthe founder of the baronet, he had to fought the magic beasts until they retreat deep in the mountains.

And finally a Magic snake green in color is sleeping underground something like 90 meters right of the Horned rabbit ?.

    ? It is dangerous to attack that rabbit, you have to kill it in one blow, to avoid to be kill by a raid of rabbit, in the nest the rabbit have horns too? ?

    ? Yes, and i can shoot him down with my bow, but its clear that we have to avoid the nest ?

    ? You will have to avoid the magic green snake, they spit a corrosive green poison gas. You don¡¯t have any counter to this attack ?.

    ? Do i shot down the rabbit and attack the mother fox ? ?

    I looked back to the Horned rabbit, he was still eating plants, i advanced slowly the soldiers did the same in silence, i put myself in a good position to shoot, i nock an arrow and shot it toward the neck of the rabbit.

    The arrow traveled between the trees and foliage to find its mark. The horned rabbit let some nervous kick before dying. I went to pick it up.

Caroline used mana to make her skin copper, while approaching the lair, the fox mother felt something different and went to the lair entry. It saw Caroline , it let a menacing yelp out, Caroline went forward, the fox casted a(fireball)to her.

    It charged out of his lair to attack her. Caroline was surprised by the fireball, she was injured by its explosion. When the fox was near her, i let out a arrow, two soldiers went in front of caroline as reinforcement.

    The fox avoided my arrow and bit the arm of the first soldier, but couldn¡¯t avoid the sword of the second which pierced its ribs, it yelped sadly, before falling to the ground, when it touched the ground i let out the second arrow which locked itself in its heart.

    ? Caroline how are you? ? i said while running toward her and the injured soldier. She was lying in the ground unconscious, her ribs, belly and leg were exposed and burned, i could see a mix of charred skin and blood. It was disgusting i nearly vomited. I couldn¡¯t use magic in front of everyone, we had to go back first so i instructed everyone. ? Go in the lair, this fox was desperate, it should have babies in it, i want them all. Someone take the corps of the fox, i will carry Caroline. Jules how is your arm? ?

    We avoided the worst, once outside the forest, we directly went to the Lira village, we went straight to the village chief house and used a room. I asked for warm water and a clean cloth to clean the wound. The chief coopered, his reaction was quick, he provided all the necissities.

    I explained, i learned from mother to take care of various injuries. I cleaned her wounds, no one was around to bother me, i useda druid spell(High Recuperation), which boost self regeneration.

    Her ribs wounds closed quickly like her belly wound, i put bandages around it. I casted(minor regeneration)on her leg to heal most of the damage but everything wasn''t heal in one time, a bloody wound was there to avoid suspicions. Once i finished ? administering first aid ? to Caroline, i asked for new clothes to the chief village, in fact, i bough them. Clothes are expensive so i couldn¡¯t let them suffer a loss even if i am the Lord. While thhe daugter and the wife of the chief changed her clothes, i told what happened to Caroline to the village chief and his sons. It was not an obligation but since they helped, i felt it was nice to tell them.

    ? Chief Arthur, thank you for your help, we will be going ?. i said, we left for the mansion to avoid to walk under the night.

    It took us 6 hours to go back to the mansion, it was night when we came back. I said my thank to the soldiers. i told to Jules to come in the morning. Aunt Elise took care of caroline and watched over her that night.

    I took care of Eva, she look like a doll, she is thin, have sharp ears, a very cute face, big blue eyes and blond hair. She has a big mana pool but like a lot of people in our world its obstructed by a plug of elemental energy.

    I will figure out how to change that in the future. But for now i need to work on enchantment.

    Eva followed me everywhere, i went to the corps of the magical beast, she stayed at the door of the garden.

    ? Bernard What is going on? ? he stopped his fight and a soldier took his place.

    ? A shaman goblin led around 150 goblins to attack us. 4 soldiers are injured and 7 dead for now, but everyone is tired we have been fighting for an hour, i send a messenger to you when the pressure lessened ?

    ? How did you stop the Shaman to shot spell? ? i asked

    My target ran far beyond the goblins in the back and surveyed me. In each quivers i have 30 arrows, i can shot 60 goblins downs, and my marksmanship is top notch, Grandpa told me that with my eyes, i should train to be the best archer of the kingdom, i trained each day this belonged to my knight training. As knight, i should master a lot of different weapons.

    I ignored the presumed shaman at the back and continued to shot the goblins down i stopped when i had only had 20 arrows left. The Goblins horde thinned by a large number, after an hour of fight they were still more than 100 goblins, after 10 minutes archery less than 90 remained.

    I used an spell(earth roots)which transformed the stones in the ground in roots which caught the ankles of the creatures. I cut their throat and advanced to help the soldier but i was late. The goblin had his sword impaled in the soldier guts, who was screaming in the ground.

    His colleagues couldn¡¯t afford to help him. I took quick steps and cut the goblins who was retrieving this sword. i putted the solider against the back of the wall and took his place.

    A goblin jump from the ladder to the wall. We exchanged blow, he was quick but the wall path is narrow, with ample sword movement i get to cut one of his arms and finished him, an other goblin was about to jump to the wall. I ran to the ladder and pierced belly, he screamed and moved a lot, i nearly let go my sword. I tried to move my sword out of him but i couldn¡¯t. I took it with my two hand, i made the goblin fall from the ladder, to use his weight to pull him down until i could take my sword back.

    An other goblin jumped in the wall and charged me, i did a large sword swing and cut it in two. I gave a heavy sword cut to the ladder to break it down.

    The first cut only broke one side of it which made it turn to the side and the goblins fell. The walls are 10 meters high, i believe that they are injured.

    I let the ladder like that and went to help the others soldier. There were 9 soldiers fighting agains 3 or 4 goblins each, it was a hard fight the solider were bound to lose if no reinforcement.

    I cut down the enemies, and took their attention, while new enemies, replaced them from the ladder. It took me 10 minutes to help the second soldier and to cut the ladder.

    I checked the first ladder it was still on the wall but not repaired. With a soldier free and two ladder down helping the other soldier became a lot easier.

    We cleared the wall but everyone was exhausted. Today, i trained and now i fought, i was at the end. At the foot of the wall we could see the goblins reorganize, trying to use the ladder again.

    We broke the ladder each times, sometimes a goblin would jump on the wall and be surrounded and killed by the soldiers.

    I looked at the back of the goblins troop the shaman was still there. Their troop have thinned a lot, i presumed that Caroline did a good job too.

    I went back to the middle of the wall and Bernard was there looking at the battlefield, one of is arm was banded.

    ? How is your arm? ? I asked

    ? I took a nasty cut, it will take a month or too to get it back to his original state and a ugly scar ?

    ? Scars make the soldier, you can brag about it in the future ?. i said with a smile. ? How many enemies left ? ?

    ? With Caroline and your help, we have cleaned the walls, the shaman has not used spells, there is 50 or 60 goblins left. But everyone is tired, we will not be able to fight for an other hour. ? He said sadly.

    ? There is 28 goblins left and the Shaman, said Bernard we have nineteen tired soldier, Caroline said she could still fight for a time, i¡¯m injured and you young lord how are you? ? reported Bernard

    The shaman looked at me and began to cast a thunderbolt, i could see the flow of mana being gathered he was aiming for my head. i waited a bit before crouching down the spell passed above my head letting the noise of a thousand bird chirping in a chaotic way.

    My lance pierced the first goblin and my horse ran over a second one, i let my lance down because of the weight of the goblin and drew my sword. The Shaman shot a fireball in front of my horse, the explosion get me flying in the air, i landed heavily on my back, i casted a quick(Holy light), and got on my feet, Jules was coming toward me, the rest had encircled the shaman.

    I screamed ? We don¡¯t take prisoners ? Martis was the first to pierce him with his sword the others did it too. The rest of the goblins didn¡¯t take time to think and all retreated. I went to see my horse, it had his two front legs broken. I used my practiced druidic language to tell him that it was fine, i would heal his legs,. It topped his high pitched neighing for sad and low ones, i discreetly casted(minor recovery).

    Bernard came hurriedly and asked in a panicked voice ? are you alright young lord? ?

    ? Yeah it was my first flight, so my landing wasn¡¯tsmooth. Bernard send some men to the city to get people to help to clean the aftermath. This is my personal horse, i want it to be carried to my mansion i will heal him there. Mother left me ointment in case of need, i don¡¯t have enough for everyone, send someone to pick it at the mansion and apply it to the grave injuried. Do you need me to deal with the something? ?

    ? No my lord, i should be able to take care of it myself, i will send someone to accompany you to the mansion and to get the ointment ?

    I cleaned my body first and my equipment next i didn¡¯t want the stink of the goblins to soak my armor or their blood to rust my sword. I waited for my horse to be delivered. It came on a carriage two horses later.

    The night had already come we had to eat. Little Eva was curious and asked a lot of question about why mister horse was hurt.

    Mom was sweating a lot the whole hiking, spell from previous fights and(Icespear)which is considering to be a strong spell among the one destined for low-Mage, completely exhausted her.

    The aftermath of the fight was shocking, frozen and charred dirt, pool of blood in the ground, and devastated vegetation. Less shocking that a pile of goblins corpse but this time it was only one magic beast.

    There was a big tree and under it was the deposit, Bernard, Jules, Oliver and Martis began to mine underground the time for mom to rest a bit. Ashley and i began to set the camp, it was an order from dad, it said we should learn to do it. Since we are both noble, we will go to the border and will fight and live as soldiers.

Itunexpectedly ate the crystal, it thought it would slept next to it, but in the end the small cyrstal finished in its belly. The fox slept for 3 day when it woke up, it was taller and stronger, i gathered more light element, it ate it all and went back to sleep. The next day, it was a rank 2 magic beast.

    I decided to teach it soul power and mind practice. It was hard to make myself clear it took me the day. I wanted to see if those techniques could make it smarter.

    The other foxes came to me whining, so i tried all the element to see which one they would eat. One choose dark element the other wind element. i fed them element like Lucia and waited for them to rank up before giving a small mana crystal. they ranked up a week later, i gave them the mana crystal and they fell asleep again when they woke up, they were rank 2 magic beast. It became clear what needed a magic beast to increase its rank.

    They don¡¯t have spell like human or technique to use mana by instinct, maybe its their mother work to do it. I decided to let them rank up again when i become a silver knight. I taugh the mind and soul practice to the foxes. it took me the day.

    My routines continued my new guards progress was fast, Buro the bunny boy and i administered healing magic to make the training longer.

    Luna the lynx woman advised me to let her, Feila the ferret girl, Baila the bunny girl and Shiro the sheep man train differently, they could not train like the pigman Paulo or the Tauren Turo since heavy weight would not help their fighting style.

    It recently changed when low ranked magical beast began to flood the region, they began to fight between themselves, while using mermaids and nagas as snacks, the two tribes can¡¯t hunt normal fish without danger anymore, their population grew fewer by the year.

    They were falling in despair until they saw the Hydra men kill magic beast, they wanted to find a way to help each others.

    I told them that Hydra men were my slaves, they earned their strength in exchange of their work. They could get the same strength, they had to accept a contract. The two qualities needed for a better life are obedience and loyalty.

    I gave them time to chat between themselves while i tried to see through the underwater wildlife, to see if the ground of the ocean could have metals deposits. I saw only scattered small deposits, of different metals that i didn¡¯t know.

    I believe i will use them in the future to escort my future float.The continent where i live is called Ucrecia, it¡¯s separated in two by a chain of mountains, the side of the kingdom of Helias is smaller than the other side by a large margin.

    They are also tribes and races that we don¡¯t have in our side. Their is a large deposit in the plain behind the east mountain of the baronet, i plan to mine it, and i plan to access it by boat.

    This is the territory of a nomad race, that has the lower body of an horse, the torso of a man, the face of an orc and the ear of an elf. We will have to negotiate with them, if we can pass the tons of magical beast that are present in the water.

    Those sea races are welcomed to be a part of my sea army.The merkin Queen and the Nagas chief accepted the offer, and told that only their warriors would be under contract. I agreed, i set up contract with all the people present, the 200 Nagas and 150 mermaids was all that was left of their warriors.

    I told the Hydra men to teach them knight training, i will ask mother to come to teach the mermaids, their mana pool is not obstructed however it is mixed with water element.

    I arrived home, I dinned with everyone the guest were leaving tomorrow the old generation indulged themselves in wine, I had to answer to all the questions possible about taming beasts, I patiently answered all of them and advised my students to read the new book that will be published.

    That night i reunite with all the members of the family excepted Eva who was too young to be trusted with secrets and Elise who was taking care of her.I explained we didn¡¯t need to buy hydras anymore, we had Two tribes under our command in the sea.

    The forest was vast in the south, it went to the ocean and in the north some part of it went near the border, it went across a lot of nobles lands.

    I mapped it all with every resource pointed out. I found 3 bandits lairs, the biggest certainly was the one which attacked us. The strongest magical beast was a rank 7 bear, it was deep in the forest.

    If we combine dad strength and our guards we can at most kill a rank 4 at the condition its alone. I showed the map to dad and grandpa, we decided to hunt all magical beast below rank 4 who resided beside the road and obviously exterminate all the bandits groups.

    The robbers camps were near Viscount Harlots territory, we chose to take care of the magical beast first, all the guards were mobilized grandpa and me as leaders.

    We cleaned the road and 400 meters around it in one month, we had to stop to heal the heavy injured men. While we stopped Buro and i used magic to create inns with a day of travel between each for our future tourists, it will also serve the merchants. We put our loot in the enchanted bags mom made.

    It had 20 pockets dimensions where the same objet could be stacked. It came from Kalimdor, mom took 2 years to create one of those bags,The ten bags are used in this expedition, we have put all the fur and meat of magical beast in the bag, time is stopped within those pockets dimensions the meat will stay sane.

    We found a lot of cubs and egg, during our hunt, i decided to let the scouts raise them, i kept one fox cub for mom, two eggs, for Eva and Elise.

    We cleaned the roads of magical beasts, we directly entered the forest to raid the bandits camps. Grandpa told me, to take command of the raid, he said i need to learn leading troops. Before launching the assault, i needed to look for information.

    The camp, was made of wooden houses, this was the smallest band, it had 89 thugs. With our numbers we didn¡¯t really need a plan, i had 500 guards under my order.

    I told them to encircle the camp and to stay hidden, i could give order to everyone thanks to the soul link. There was a large rock behind the camp, i told Buro to make steps with magic for the scouts to climb the rock. On top of it they had a good postition to rain our enemies with arrows.

    Buro put fire to the scouts arrows, i gave the signal to start the raid.Once the first wave of arrows set fire to the houses, thugs began to panick, they ran trying to put out the fire.This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

    The second wave of arrow fell on them killing a lot of them but they still didn''t react. A third followed, the bandits began to take cover, however their only choice was burning house or burning carriages.

    Some of them escaped to the forest, i ordered the guards to kill on sight. Actually i really wished to enslave them, we need more habitants in my Baronet, but my guards need to kill to grow as soldier, grandpa agreed to my choice. Moreover some merchants may be remember the face of the men that raided their carvanes.

    For the majority of my guards the first battle was on the wall a week ago, they need to be comfortable to the view of blood and flesh. There was scream of pain, dying cry, people shooting ? surrender ? hands in the air while running, none were spared, this expedition need to be merciless and bloody. I asked Luna and Turo to keep two bandits alive and to deliver them to me.Few minutes later, i had two men int front of me crying and trembling wearing clothes full of holes, asking for forgiveness and mercy.

    I ordered Luna and Turo to take them apart and to ask them where their band spoil was.Both said the biggest house had a cave under it. I looked and saw hole under the house, someone was hiding in it. I told Sako to seize thehaul hidden in the cave, and interrogate the occupant.

    The hidden man was the leader of the band, i executed him. I didn¡¯t need to question him, in the cave was kept ale, food and 170 silver coins , a few books could be seen. The two bandits... grandpa, killed them, its not like i ever felt like keeping my words.

    The second camp, was in a cavern, there was only one entry, few holes for aeration. They were a group of men hiding in a dark cavern, just saying it show how shady it looked.

    We killed the two men who looked like sentinels, we smoked them out to kill them with our archers and spells, a few of them died by asphyxia. We waited for the smoke to disolve before looking for their haul.

    This bandit band was made of 41 thugs, but they were richer, they had more food, ale, iron weapons of low and mid quality and to finish 12 golds. It was a complete different standing, the other group was a band of beggar compared to them.It let us have a lot expectation for the last and biggest bandits group.

    Th last band, was deeper in the forest, they were more organized, they had sentry posts around their headquarter.

    It was a village, there were less than 700 thieves , it had a large rectangular fence and 4 wooden towers. I decided to give separated instructions, Luna would lead her scouts to crush the sentry posts.

    Grandpa and Sako would be the main offensive forces, they will encircle the enemy. Turo heavy infantry would position itself in front of the main door to block their way out of the encirclement.

    Bernard is leading the human troops, they will be polyvalent, attacking by one side and helping the scouts who will transform into archer once the sentry down. Buro will cast fire spell to increase the pressure and the panic of the enemy.

    We are better in the soldier quality but less in quantity, we have to strike hard before they reorganize themselves. The sentry were easily killed, my foxes assisted Luna it made a good synergy, its give hope for our new cubs.

    The foxes will stay in the wild to scout for potential danger coming from the forest.

    Buro launched the attack by a(flame strike), my(pyrotechnic)landed a second behind his spell. The two front wooden towers were consumed by fire. The scouts burning arrows fell on the houses and the wall.

    Buro went to the left side to join Bernand to take down the left tower, grandpa and his men followed me to the right side, I casted a(flame strike), an(explosion wave)and a(pyrotechnic), creating a burning hole in the wall, grandpa started his raid, I heard the same explosion to the left side, Sako and Bernard were attacking the left side too.

    We didn¡¯t meet an organized defense, we cut through the thugs, they didn¡¯t wear their equipment, few of them had their weapon in hand. I ordered Turo to rush in and Luna to encircle the camp with her men by dispatching small groups around the camp.

    We heard a bell ringing, it was the enemy rallying signal. Grandpa chose to put his men in the middle of the Main Street to kill the people answering the gathering call. In the back of the village there was a big house made of stones the bell ringing came from the top of it, we could see men rushing in the house.

    CRASH! Turo broke the door, we made a formation in the middle of the village cutting it in two, i told my guards to form group of four and to clean our village part.

    Fromwhere I was standing i heard clash of metal, pained screams. Twenty minutes later all the guards were back, however the enemy was in formation ready to meet us.

    The silver knights could be counted in a hand, less than a dozen bronze knights and less than forty copper knights. But their total number were above 500.

    I was in the back of the running guards, Turo was was running in front of everyone the tall Tauren had long legs the heavy armor was light weighted for him, I had a brief feeling of compassion for his first opponent.

    The impact gave a loud crushing noise, the man flew throwing all his companions to the ground. My guards walked over the body of the fallen squashing them to death.

    The heavy armor units charge finished when Turo was in the middle of the enemy troops. Luna unit began to let loose arrows damaging the enemy flanks.

    Buro and I casted spells, he continued to use fire spell like(fireball),(fire arrow),(fire spear)while I used lighting spells without restrain(lightning bolt)and(lightning chain)this spell was kind of fun, i could see the lighting jumping from man to man, the best series of kill i did was 5. Magic was deadly and fun, not that i enjoyed killing but doing it with magic tend to make it fun.

    Scream of pain, cry of despair, smell of charred flesh, a slippy bloody floor, parts of corps being stomped, arms flying, legs falling under sword slashs, this scene i could see it, it was like my eyes ability turned off for once to show me the horror of war.

    While it more or less disgusted me, it didn¡¯t stop me or made me doubt, they have to die.

    Turo unit took most of the enemy attention Sako and grandpa teams did their work. The enemy weakened quickly their number fell quickly as their moral.

    We weren¡¯t at the same level, it took about 30 minutes for our sliver knights to encircle and kill the enemy valued soldiers and commanders.

    It means, it was that man was the reason behind our poor trading rate all those years. I believe dad will be happy to know we resolved a problem.

    That raid symbolized the end of our security trip. We will heal the injured and will go back to the main road, to build a new inn for travelers and go back to the baronet.

    Two days later, Buro and me were, lying in the ground, our mana pool empty.

    It was a training for us to use earth fusion, while the guards training was to search, bring and put the stone in the wall. As i lied on the ground, i tough of the letters that belong to the bandit chief.

    8 months later, the baronet was filled with life like it never did, thousands of people from all the east territories were here. The population was nearing the tens of thousands of people. Father asked for reinforcement from viscount Harolts army. We rented 500 men for two weeks it costed 750 golds coins. He was nice enough to let us pay after the tournament.

    The second day of the event, the Goalball games will begin there is 128 teams in the iron team tournament, 128 in the copper, 32 in the Bronze and 16 in the silver tournament.

    We had to create three others arenas outside the wall of the territory, the number of applications was beyond our expectations , we bought food from everywhere, we built inns in hurry, those last 9 months were stressing for all the habitants of the baronet. We will feel better once everything end.

    The fact we were in a rush didn¡¯t mean we neglected our works. Each arena is a piece of art, each inn is designed to be pleasing for the customers, there were inns for merchants, inns for nobles and inns for commoners.

The third team was from Count Amarantha territory, they earned 10150 gold and the silver winner came from the Dukedom who earned 15005 gold coins, that was the tournament with the least player but the richest sponsors and nobles.

    This night we used the 3 arena to create a big party within all the baronet, to celebrate the winners, Albert reluctantly shared the microphone to the musician.     4 hours later the wall finished, we arrived to the last sentry post, right to the wooden tower began a dirt path. It separated the forest from the plain a natural like a barrier between the two landscapes.

    Our baronet guards were trained by grandpa. They were used to fast change of formations. During our walk, we could hear the inhabitants of the forest roars, the trees being crushed, the foliage rustling, we were ready for anything. Our pets were giving us feedback, when they felt fear it meant the magic beast was at least rank 4.

    My eyes ability didn''t allow me to gaze deep in the forest. It''s the first time it happened in this world, it peaked my curiosity, I could only see the outer layer of the green army of trees. I saw rank 5 to 6 magical beasts of various races, I didn''t know most of them.

    There were few mana stones deposits in the outer part of the forest, that may explain the strenght of its inhabitants. The fact is the forest is deadly for human.

    We arrived at the gorge at dawn, we saw the tall cliffs on each side of the path, they were smaller than the mountains of our territory but the story of the place made it more imposing.

    At the left of the gorge lied the forest, on the right a mountain with a pick straight like a spear aiming to pierce the sky. The gorge was the only practical way.

    The soldiers guarding the entrance of the camp escorted us to our resting place, we would sleep in our tent since the gorge is near the fortress none habitation or barracks were built.

    I asked to be placed further than the other because of our number we needed space, moreover we had our carriages with us. The colonel inspected them himself because it thought it would be a hindrance He accepted our carriages when he saw it was full of provisions. I told him that the food was at his disposition. I plan to send a whole carriage of food to thank him.

    The carriages are important, mother worked with Duro to created them, they are inscribed with enchantment that reinforce them and make them lighter. In addition Duro made hidden weapons in it, they can be called war carriages, they are our hidden aces in case of attack in our way back to the Baronet.

    The next morning, soldiers woke us at dawn asking us to meet with the colonel to get our assignments. I slapped my depressed princess¡¯s ass to wake her. I finished by putting my helmet on my head, Ashley was waiting for me at the entrance, she wore an enchanted dress, a pair of enchanted boots and her fetish red wand.

    ¡°What did take you so long? Are you going to a ball?¡± teased Ashley

    ¡°Yeah, I saw a wonderfull goblin girl smiling to me, I thought, she would do a great mistress¡±. I mimed her tone.

    ¡°Two animals together, you have my blessing¡± she said smiling while walking out of the tent.

    Grandpa was waiting in front of our temporary home. All the guards were in formation behind him, he will lead a hundred guards to protect Ashley, the human guards will stay with him. On my side, I have Buro, Turo, Paulo, Luna, Sako. They regrouped by my tent, while Ashley and me went to the meeting. Ashley looked like a conqueror, she was riding Hirad, it gave a ferocious vibe, the wolf cub, grew two meters high, he is bulky, his eyes are red and his fur is black.

Your fighting capacities and the discipline of your troops are going to evaluated, if not up to the task you will be trained for a month. The evaluation will happen this afternoon in the training ground, you can dispose now¡±. The two men went to prepare their men for the test.

    ¡°Next miss Arianna Redflag, I will test you after this meeting, since your experience is the best and your team the smallest you will participate to the reclaiming of the gorge.     ¡° I will transfer him to Ashley guards temporary, my others guards will follow them to move the stones from the cliff. Could I ask the colonel to participate to the same duty as miss Redflag?¡± I asked.

    ¡° I don¡¯t mind, but you will have to pass my test.¡± He put as a condition.

    I let out my knight energy, my skin turned silver ¡° I believe the colonel have a better fighting experience than me, but in raw strenght I can defend myself¡±. I told him.

    There was a pause, a moment of silence. The colonel had his eyes glued on my skin, miss Ariana was in the same state. He get out of his shock.

    ¡°Good, I can see you didn¡¯t let neglected your training, I will send someone to get your team after breakfast, prepare yourself in the coming hour. Madame Bladebreaker and mage Buro, I will let you handle the creation of a path to the top of both side of the gorge cliffs. You can begin whenever you want.¡± said colonel Magnolia.

    ¡°We will begin right now colonel !¡± Said Ashley before leaving, Buro followed her, grandpa was waiting for us outside the tent, he sent someone to gather the troops, before following the two mages. I returned toward my troops, the team leaders were assembled.

    ¡° We have two missions, first is to help Ashley with moving stones, she is creating a path to the top of the gorge. The second, is to engage goblins in the gorge. I chose to create a team of maximum 10 people. Turo and Paulo, you will be our shields. Luna choose 3 members of your team with good eyes in the dark and skills in throwing knives or with a bow. Sako choose 2 members of your team, they will flank Paulo and Turo. We leave after lunch, you can to make your preparations.¡± I ordered.

    They might mine mana stones. The deposit must be really big to mobilize this number of monsters. Hundreds protected the gorge while thousands undermined the deposit.

    I can¡¯t inform the colonel, without disclosing my eyes power. It will take weeks to the goblins to empty the resources and transport everything. We will have to reclaim the other wall before the deposit is completely undermined. I send a soul message to Buro for him to share this information with grandpa and Ashley.

    It took less than a quarter of an hour for all the teams leaders to return with the new members of the goblins butchers band! Luna came with Faroggio a furet man, Ramon a raccoon man, Catalina a cowgirl. Sako arrived accompanied by Silipo a snakeman and Dulina a dogwoman. I told them we would go after breakfast, Paulo prepared it. We ate quickly, a soldier came to escort us.

    There was a shooting space to the left of Paulo and the right of Turo.

    ¡°We walked a few meter to be at shooting range. I would first cast a spell and the scout team will fire arrows.¡± i explained.

    I stood between Turo and Silipo, I casted (ice cone). The twenty meters in front of me were assaulted by cold wind mixed with ice shards.     The goblins monsters began to regroup, 4 of them died killed by the arrows, the survivors charged us, I casted a second (ice cone), but before I could finish Turo intercepted a small axe.

    I fell behind to let Silipo take his post. I failed my cast but Luna team killed 2 more goblins. Luna returned to the back of the formation, the scout were waiting for an opportunity, I drew my sword in case I need to change with someone. But it was useless Turo smashed skulls with his hammer, Sako danced with two short swords in hand, our enemies died quickly.

    ¡°Paulo finish the two lying goblins, Dulina collect their ears, we made a lot of noise, I can see more than fifty goblins coming our way same tactic, Luna team will look out for climbing archers.¡±. I annouced

    50 charging goblins made a small quake as they ran. I took my bow and killed goblins when they were 75 meters away. I waited for them to enter in my casting to cast (ice cone) the scout team did the same.

    Goblins fell sabotaging the charge, it created a snowball effect stopping the green monsters. They took cover in the cliff reliefs, cracks and behind the corps of their comrades. We fired the aviable targets increasing the number of bodies in the ground.

    We advanced until we were at spell range, I casted (ice cone) the violent wind pushed out the hidden enemies killing the nearest from us while exposing the others. The spell ended after a few seconds, the scouts shot the escaping goblins. 6 goblins were retreating, the next monster pack was two hundred meters deeper in the path. ¡°Luna, Ramon and Faroggio hunt them before they get reinforcement¡± I ordered.

    Dulina, Catalina, Silipo you collect the goblins ears and arrows. Paulo, Turo, and Sako we stay on guards, to help the scouts if they are pursued.¡±

    I observed the ambushe ahead, they were less opponents than the previous. 36 goblins most of them were archers in post in a cliff side.

    ¡°Do you have idea who will take care of the goblins corps?¡±I asked to my mates.

    ¡° I have no idea, maybe the goblins care for their fellows brothers in arms¡± said indifferently Paulo.

    ¡° Magical beasts might roam in the gorge at night¡± proposed Sako

    ¡° Human should move the bodies to avoid diseases¡± said Turo.

    I saw Luna and her teammates managing to kill 3 goblins before the archers shot them. Luna forearm was transported by an arrow and Ramon had an arrow stuck in his shoulder, they retreated toward us.

    ¡°Luna¡¯s team is injured, we must go to their rescue!¡± I yelled

    Turo and Paulo ran Silipo and Sako rushed to their flank, thirty seconds later we joined Luna, Ramon and Faroggio who were retreating, they hadn''t a group of monsters in their backs. I used my ability, the goblins were preparing the battle. Messengers were sent to report to the enemy''s troops farther in the gorge. Each time a messenger met a team a part of it would go reinforce the ambush spot ahead of us.

    ¡°Our next battle will be harder, there will be a larger number of monster. We will use our knight energies, we are out of human sight, I will heal Luna and Ramon, after I will have 5 mid spell left, I will keep them for urgency.¡± I explained to the team.

    I quickly looked back, no one left the second wall, the path had turns we were out of view. Our opponents were taking a defensive formation, more archers climbed the cliffs, a few dozens of green monsters armed with shield and leather armies blocked our way to the first wall. The quality of the enemy increased. I counted our adversaries numbers.

    ¡° there are 52 archers posted in the cliffs sides, they will be Luna team and I priorities. There is also 19 archers in the ground behind the 64 goblins in defensive position. Since we use our knight energy, normal goblin can¡¯t injure us anymore. But I don¡¯t want to run out of energy before we conquer the first cavern. We will advance to get in shooting range, we will change for high-quality bows, you can all change your weapons if you wish¡±

    We prepared, we advanced, everyone saw our enemy a hundred meters away. Turo and Paulo readied their shields. We were 5 archers in the silver ranks our stuff, range, pace and power completely overmatched our enemy firepower. I shot the first arrow to signal the begining of the massacre.

    Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Sounded the bowstrings. In echo to the bows, Craks from the clash between the arrows and the cliff were heard. The goblins noise when their bodies hit the ground made a macabre music.

    Bang! Crack! Tac! The music show was short each of us had 10 targets. Our infantry could charge safely, Turo led our warriors to contact the defending foes.

    Paulo and Turo are heavy by nature, the armors and weapons increased the weight, they were unstoppable calamities for the green monsters. They literally walked over them, Sako and Silipo ran step behind the two mads horses, killing the lucky goblins who avoided the two rampaging beastmen.

    Our archer duty ended, we stopped to circulate our energy. Goblins couldn''t take this boosted bull charge half of their number were trampled before our tanks finished their race. Sako and Silipo joined them. This time the monsters kept their position, they didn''t retreat. My silver guards did their job in a fast trained execution. Sako danced with a deadly tempo, Silipo mimicked him, Paulo short spear painted death on the goblin skins. The ground was bloody, the monsters corps littered the floor, the sounds of our boots was echoed in the gorge. I took a moment to look at this desolate landscape. It wasn''t that horrible with the previous groups. I shook my head, i hadn''t feeling for those monsters, i just felt that war was an ugly and an uninteresting work.

    ¡° We will cross the corps, the scout team will collect the ears while the rest prepare for the next battle. There is seven teams before the first cavern. In that cavern the enemy officer a hobgoblin rest with twenty veterans goblins. They have 180 normal goblins as bodyguards. We will take care of the small groups, without knight energy, we let the mayhem out against the officer troops.¡± I announced.

    When Luna team finished to loot the goblins parts, we continued our raid to the hobgoblin home. It took us an hour to clean the seven teams, there was about 30 monsters in each ambush.

    We did a pause to refresh ourselves. I could see the enemy officer preparing for war, they would use the cave as a defensive position.

    The cave entrance was narrow only 2 adult men could walk in for the first 20 meters. After it was larger, the cave took a circular shape where all the goblins stayed. The larger goblins stayed in another room deeper in the grotto, they had a dozen assistant with them.

    To clean the entrance, I will use a fire spell, Paulo and Turo will charge until they enter the hall the rest will follow.

    We stood a few meter away from the dark cavity, our tanks had their shield up.

    The goblins flooded the narrow path. I casted (explosive wave) the spell hit the ceiling 10 meters deep in the cavern. The spell created a circle of fire that expanded outward like a wave burning everything in his 25 meters range. Before the flame ravage us I singed (ice barrier) to protect the 3 of us.

    Once the flame died, we ran inside, Luna and Sako teams left their hideout to follow us. It was difficult to breath, we were assaulted by the smell of burned meat and the lack of air. We rushed forward, it felt better once in the hall.

    Our opponents finished to build their formation, a mass of a hundred goblins ready to kill in front if us. Turo fur turned silver, Paulo tail turned silver, Sako, Silipo, Dulina walked to their side circulating their energies.

    Luna''s team took their bow, I copied them, we fired first. An arrow pierced at least two enemies, the goblins reaction was fast, they left their lines to charge us. Turo''s hammer found his place in a goblin skull, it is becoming a habit. Dulina fight style was savage, she used gauntlet in forms of claws to slash her enemies, she bit her targets, a dog like style. We put down our bows, we drew our weapons andtook our place next to our comrades. The small goblins weren''t a danger, but they were used to spend our stamina. Unfortunately for their commander our energy reserves are larger than a regular knight. The corps flooded the floor, we finished the goblins in a bunch of minutes.

    ¡° Boss, the hobgoblin is coming by the right side, accompanied by larger goblins.¡± announced Luna her voice sounded tired. I looked the monster commander, team leader and nine archers, they looked more ferocious, they had better equipments.

    ¡° its 3 vs 1, I will take the hobgoblin, Luna will take care of the bow men. Turo and Paulo you change your weapons¡±. I ordered

    Turo took a two-handed hammer, Paulo a long spear, I changed my sword for my enchanted sword. The goblins were choosing their targets, the hobgoblin was walking toward Turo, but he was mine.

    This time, i charged to give the first blow, my sword enchanted in hand, I put my knight energy in the blade, the hobgoblin pared, he tried to kick me, I avoided, my enchanted blade was shrouded in flames, two veterans goblins attacked me on the flank.

    I step back to avoid the left one and I cut the left arm of other his shirt went aflame.

    He rolled on the ground, it distracted, the left veteran, it gave me enough time to strike, however the hobgoblin intervened, he aimed for my arms with his curved sword.

    I changed the direction of my sword, I blocked with difficulty. The officer strength wasn''t a joke , his blow pushed me a few steps back. The other goblin took the opportunity to attack, he aimed his sword to my chest, I side stepped to escape, I used my left hand to seize his arm. I drew him toward me, I put him between me and his chief, I pierced his belly, the flame of my sword burned his innards, he screamed his pain.

    The hobgoblin did a large move attempting to cut both if us in one swing. I let go my enchanted sword, I drew the short sword, i crouched to avoided the blade, I pushed the half goblin corps away, and I went forward aiming for the boss throat.

    He kicked me, I fell and rolled back. I took back my enchanted blade, I sheathed my second sword. I stood a few meters away from the hobgoblin, I prepared my next move, all my knight energy was focus on my arms and legs, I charged the officer, flames burst from my sword, the heat burned my skin, I saw smoke coming out of my hands.

    Our blades clashed, once, twice, thrice the huge goblin stayed in a defensive position, I heard cracks when I gave furious blows. I heard a loud crack my sword continued its way to the goblin shoulder lodging itself in the heart of the monster.

    The hobgoblin knelt, the fierce look faded leaving dull eyes fixing the void.

    I looked around me, the fights raged Luna wasn''t shooting arrows, she was defending the body of a scout who was lying in his own blood.

    Outnumbered she had cuts everywhere. Sako had killed two of his enemies but he was injured, I have to keep my healing spell for them.

    I went to help the nearest ally, turo, the goblins didn''t remarked the death of their leader. I took him by surprise, I pierced his chest from his back. I kicked the body to free my sword, we surrounded the second goblin, I aimed for his legs, Turo for his head, our opponent jumped and got his skull crush.

    The Tauren went to team with paulo, I rushed to Luna side, I pared a few blows on my way. The goblins saw the corps of their troop leader, grunts and yell were heard.

    The green monsters began to organize themselves, they stopped their aggressive fighting for a defensive one, they were retreating to Luna spot.

    ¡° Regroup to Luna, the goblin will try to pierce there to escape from the cave¡± I commanded via soul message.

    Luna was surrounded by 2 veterans goblins and 4 archers, more goblins were going to arrive. Two goblins blocked me, I went all out once again, the flame licked my hands leaving pains and scars. I swung my sword like a mad man, the flames hurt like hell and I have to help luna.

    The energy ran through my muscles, I could feel their saturation, my strength couldn''t increase anymore. I hit so much that their arms broke, they growled, I killed them before they tried to run.

    I closed the small distance between me and Luna. A goblins alerted his companions with a scream but it was too late, I beheaded him, blood sprayed in the air.

    I jumped to my next target, he put his bow in front of him to block by sword, it separated in two parts, I cut the monster in two part like his bow.

    I ignored the two veterans for the moment, the next goblin threw away his bow, he took out a dagger from his back, the last archer chose me as a new target.

    Luna pained scream resonated within the cavern, I saw her arm hanging loosely, staying attached thank to a layer of skin. I felt something approaching me, I lifted my sword by reflex.

    Dang! I pared an arrow, the dagger of the other goblin was aiming to my knee. I stepped to the right, and slashed the flank of the goblin. The goblin fell to the ground screaming, I heard a second scream, the last goblin was killed by Dulina. I approached my lying opponent and cut his throat.

    Dulina was already by Luna side , taking the two veteran head on, I joined her, Luna did a good job fighting 1 against 6 while defending an injured ally.

    The two veterans were exhausted and lightly injured. We went all out, my furious strokes and Dulina savage moves gave us the advantage, forcing them to death after a few exchanges.

    ¡°Dulina guard us while I heal them.¡± I told her. I casted (hand of light) to Luna, I saw her arm mending, returning to it normal shape. It will be weak for a few days but it will do the job for now.

    I knelt next to the cowgirl, she had 4 arrows planted in her back leather armorand a dagger lodged in her spine above her bottom. It should have put her to the ground, they continued by targeting her head which put her in the coma.

    Good news, she is still breathing, but she lost too much blood. I casted (restoration), it would help to fight in all front but she will stay in the coma. It didn''t reabsorbed the big issues. I had a last healing spell for Sako leg. I look around the goblins had regrouped in a last stand, their back to the wall.

    ¡°Dulina change your place, with Sako¡± i told her.

    She nodded and ran to Sako, I looked for ointment, bandages, and water from my bag.

    ¡°Luna come, I will finish to take care of your arm. Once I''m done, you will take care of Catalina injuries. She has two main injuries on her head and one above her bottom, you need to undress her and put the ointment.¡± It took me fives minutes to take care of her arm.

    Sako arrived and sat, he watched the fight which continued, only 6 goblins in bad shape remained. When I finished with Luna, I casted (hand of light) to Sako leg. I sat cross-legged, I needed five hours of meditation to get all my mana pools full.

    I sent a soul message to Lucia and Buro. I told Buro to let Luna pet and my foxes come after us, I told him to get Bernard to escort him to move around the camp. The distance consumed a lot of soul power.

    I turned to check Luna job but she was tending to Luna back. I decided to watch the last goblin struggle. It was Silipo who amputated him and Paulo who impaled the goblin. They went for a last check, they looked for goblins faking their death.

    After a few minutes, everyone was sitting around me. ¡° You all did a great job, Catalina took a dagger in the spine, it''s the cause of her and Luna injuries. She''s in a weak state. I will need an hour or meditation to regenerate my mana to cast a healing spell. Paulo you will make food for everyone, Silipo, Ramon, Turo and faroggio will cut the ears of normal goblins and take the heads of the veteran and the hobgoblin. Sako and Luna you will explore the cavern, look for valuables the goblins may have, passages to the outside or magical beast tracks.¡± I ordered them. I mediated sitting toward the entrance of the cavern.
