 Chapter One - Athena

    - Human World Winter -

    The freezing wind chilled the entire sky with dominance ice. Snow dropped as time slowed down, heaven poured down rain and as thunder echoes through the entire kingdom. Roars of beasts, footsteps of mankind, weapons of massive destruction conquered the entire war zone.

    "Surrender now and we will give you a chance to live!" The sound of soldiers barraged through the entire battlefield. Soldiers from all three races, human, god, and demons all came together surrounding this one young woman. Footsteps shook the earth, step by step coming closer to this young goddess.

    River of blood flows underneath their feet, dead bodies blocking their passage. One at a time, mountains of bones crushed every single second. The young woman lifts and waves her spear against the approaching men, blood coughs out from her mouth. Her body bleeding out blood, it was unbelievable to be even alive.

    She laughs as if it was a massive joke. Her throat barely speakable, but still managed to let words flow out. Her body heavily fells as she supports herself with her only spear. White feathers of angelic owls act as a barrier surrounding her field.

    "Surrender? I rather not." Knowing this is her final moment, she lifted her left hand into the skies. - Pandora''s Box - Calling out the magical artifacts name, a small dimension appeared and closed the instant as the item fell into her palm. The box unlocked itself. Dark matter of chaos spreading out. A source of power that doesn''t belong within the Three Realms.

    "Stop her! Before its too late!" Ares''s voice panic and he charged forward on his warhorse, overwhelming his own troops. Ares, being a god of war, he knew exactly what that is.

    The young girl smiled gently at Ares, "its too late, goodbye." She throws the empty box into the sky, "Oh, hear my wish and form my contract! Bind me to your soul! Anger, greed, madness, love!     A dark force of power surrounds Athena, taking control of my mind, emotion, and body. With her last conscious left, she ripped her necklace off and threw it into Ares'' hand. "I am sorry, but this is the only way." Tears fell from her eyes as darkness corrupts her entire soul.

    Ares held the ruby shaped necklace and closed his eyes. He directs the ruby to Athena. -Seal- A magical crest reveals on the red ruby. Ares pulls out his sword and walks towards Athena. He lifts his blade and thrusts through Athena''s upper body. Still holding the ruby, he releases his blade and embraces her. With a sad expression on his face, he whispers into Athena''s left ear. "Three thousand years, I will wait and I will find you, no matter who or what you will be."

    Athena''s body turned into particles of blue dust vanishing and breezed along with the wind.

    "At least that is how the story was told!" The audience clapped at the old storyteller, tossing some coins into the donation box. "Thank you, thank you!" The old man left the stage and the crown disassembled.

    "Alice, did you like the story" a pretty voice reaches her ears.

    "Mother, we heard the story about a hundred times, I could even tell it." Alice sighs, wondering why would Mother bring her to hear the story of Athena on her 16th birthday.

    At the age of 16 is the age of adulthood in the Kingdom of Qicaea. Is where girls become woman and boys become men. Instead of hanging out with her friends, at clubs, at parties, and probably going out with the men she likes. She is stuck with her mother, listening to this same old boring story.

    The crowd emptied out, the city lights flicked. "It''s getting late, let''s go back" She grabbed Alice''s hand and walked back to the adventurers'' guild. On their way back, they arrived at a small park and decided to rest for a bit.

    The blue moonlight shines upon Alice as she regrets coming out with mother. Water flowed in the fountain as she stares into the coins of wishes. Copper, Silver, and some golds she counted. Grabbing her coin purse and taking out a small coin as she wanted to make a birthday wish as well.

    A sudden noise was caused by the bushes nearby, they turned their heads towards the sound. A shadow passes by and in an instant, a man flew out of the bush, fully dressed in black covering his face with a mask. "Sorry girls, but tonight you aren''t going home" He plays with his dagger with his right hand.

    "Alice, run." Mother''s voice panicked as she rushes to Alice''s side.

    "Mother... be careful" Alice wanted to stay, but she understands, she will only hold her mother back. As Alice was born mana-less in a world where mana matters the most. She wasn''t loved by the gods, instead they hated her. She ran in her top speed, she wanted to get help and the adventurers guild was a strong idea.

    The assassin rushed and moved towards Alice, but was stopped and forced back with by a spear. He jumps back, dodging the strike and reposition himself again. "Hey Yukie-chan, long time no see." His Japanese accents triggered his language.

    "At least your English got better, why are you after us." Her voice rose, as she positions herself to fight.

    "Just ending her bloodline." The man''s voice deepens as if he felt sorry.

 Chapter Two - Alice

    Alice ran and ran, reaching the adventurers'' guild. She knocked on the door, once, no one answered. Twice, still, no one answered. The third time, she panicked because no one answered. "Help! Help! Please!" She yelled. Knocking on the door no stop, hoping for someone to open it.

    A middle-aged man appeared when the door opened. "What ya want, it''s like midnight!" He shouted at Alice as her tears dropped down. Alice, being the princess of Verona, she was never treated this way. Her prime wanted herself to fight against the geezer but she understands, right now her mother is more important than that ignorance prime.

    "My mother, she''s in danger! There was an assassin, please help me!" Her voice cracked as if she is losing it.

    The man looked at Alice, he grabbed his sword and woke some of the others'' up. "Little lady, take us there, fast."

    - The Small Park -

    Drips of blood all over, both breathing heavy. Yukie'' spear was reckoned down, unusable now and her clothing torn apart from the battle revealing part of her breast. She covers herself with her left arm and points her right index finger towards the man.

    "Casting magic now? I don''t think so." He grins at Yukie and snaps his fingers. "Tonight will be a fun night."

    "What are you up to?.." Yukie, not understanding what he did, decided to ignore him and started to chant her spell. " Magic Bul.." She suddenly felt a weak shock affecting all her body, losing power to lift herself, she fell down facing forward.

    The man walks towards Yukie''s unconscious body, " I told you, we are going to have fun." He carries her up and left the park with a disgusting laugh.

    - The Guild -

    Alice and the guild members rush over to the park, their movement had affected some other members in the town. Around 20 people arrived at the park, only to see drops of blood and pieces of Yukie''s clothing.

    "Mother! Where are you!" Alice yelled in panicked, her mother was the one that only cared for her. Naturally, she went around and begged that if they can help her search.Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

    "This is a hard job, young lady. From the looks of it, your mother was targeted by The Spiders." He picked up a coin with a spider icon near Yukie''s clothing. "The Spiders are a dangerous group that no one dares to cross upon, even some of the heroes are scared of them. We regular old folk, wouldn''t and cannot do anything. I am sorry." The old geezer left a sigh as he turns away from Alice.

    The men returned back to their homes leaving Alice alone, crying without a single sound. She walks back to the transportation portal leading to Verona. It only took seconds for her to arrive outside the castle.

    - Verona Winter -

    She reaches Verona and the instant she lands, blood spatter in front of her. It wasn''t hers, but she knew the soldier, it was Marcus. Alice has an amazing memory, she remembers everyone and almost everything even though it was unimportant to her. "Run..." The first and last word that Alice heard from Marcus as he laid in the snow, dead.

    Alice panicked and ran, blades cutting off her dress. She continued to run until she reached a small cave. She enters and hides inside it. Hoping no one will come, rests her eyes as her body cannot take all the stress and pressure.

    - Next Day, Morning -

    White blizzard breeze through Alice''s torn-up dress as she walks across the river of blood. Dead, cold bodies laying upon the snow. Soldiers of red and blue, laying down headless with eyes staring into the blue starry sky. Alice approaches the main entrance, broken down doors blocking her way in. She jumps and leaps on the steel gates and races her way to the throne''s room.

    There sits an old man, blood dripping from his entire body. His eyes waver as Alice appears from a distance. He tries to lift himself from his throne but only have enough strength to lay his left hand on the handle of his blade. "Al...Alice, you.. came.." Blooding dripping from his mouth as his gentle and unreachable voice. Alice rushes over and holds the falling king, her hands gently touching his cheeks.

    Tears crying out from her black eyes, "father.." She became speechless as her voice losing their power. He opens up his right palm, a small ruby with markings appears upon it. He coughs out more blood, "this ¡­protect ¡­it ... promise me.". Unstoppable tears running down from her eyes as the King lays rest with his last breath. "Happy birthday, my daughter."

    The ruby dissolves into red particles, transferring itself into Alice''s body. Alice placed her father''s body onto the throne. His left hand still holding strong onto the handle, not letting go. As if he still has a fight inside him. The king lived as an honourable warrior and died as a victorious emperor.

    Alice turned towards the door, leaving the king at this rest. She steps slowly towards the door, leaving the castle. Mother''s missing, fathers dead, and she all alone in this world.

 Chapter 3: Awakening

    Three males arrived at the entrance, blocking Alice''s path. "Well, well, well, if it isn''t the princess of Verona." He grins, golden particles of mana formed on his right arm and a spellcaster crest was created ¨C Blinding Light -. Chains of white light bind Alice''s body preventing her to move.

    "Lucas! What are you doing!" Alice shouted!

    Lucas walks over and holds Alice''s chin. "Princess, if you haven''t realized. Verona has fallen, the king has died and a new emperor is needed" He forceful tore Alice''s top, revealing her white 36D ¨C Size chest.

    "Tonight we are going to have some fun, guys feel free to use this slave." The other two men gather around Alice and groped her body abusively.

    "No, Lucas, don''t.." Alice struggled but her body cannot break the binding.

    "We are going to make you a real woman. Happy birthday, my slave." Lucas laughs uncontrollably.

    Lucas pushes Alice onto the ground. "The king, watch as we make your daughter into a real woman!"

    Alice''s body lies on the cold concrete ground, her body naked and abused. Her lifeless eyes stares into emptiness. A white bright space appears surrounding her field of vision. There sits a woman, on her throne she declared "Alice Sato, daughter of Yukine Sato, do you wish for revenge".

    Revenge, Alice has always been the purest angel. Treated and born as a princess, she always thought life were always be peaceful with her father and mother.

    Her lifeless eyes stared onto the mysterious woman, tears falling down as she replied. "How, I am powerless. If I only had mana, maybe everything would be different." Her voiced cracked as she speaks.

    "Promise me three things and I shall grant you world domination" She stood up and walk towards Alice. Alice nods her head.

    "First, acquire the four seals and complete the prophecy. Second, rise and dominate the three realms." Her majestic voice quiets down and became gentle as she speaks her last promise. "Tell him that I am sorry.

    My darling, do you agree to sell your soul to me." Alice nods agreeing to her promises. The mysterious woman lifts Alice from the ground and kisses her. Alice turns red, embarrassed by this action. Her first kiss was taken by Lucas and the men and this one was taken by this woman, she pushes her away and steps on her feet. "Contract Complete." The majestic voice echoes again.

    The image fades away, Alice returns to her reality as if no time has passed. Lucas and the men laughing at the background. Alice lifts herself up and turns toward the men.

    "Oh, my slave woke up, looks like we weren''t enough, such a dirty slut." Lucas grins again as he walks towards Alice.

    Her lifeless eyes black eyes turned golden, she grins. She walks towards Lucas as he walks to her, Alice lifts her palms and white mana particles flows from her hand.

    White angel-like feathers scattered from the spellcaster crest and launched itself against the men.

    Alice laughs, then she grins with a hopeless expression. "Let the terror of three realms begin."

 Chapter 4: Blessing and Curse

    - Kingdom of Ellis - Winter -

    Snow, white as feather fallen from the sky. The noise of a drunken man developed in the inn. "Verona has fallen!" He rose his root beer and drank the rest from the can. Men gather around, cheering in for joy, dancing and celebrating for the war. "We humans are victorious! The goddess of victory is on our side!"

    The sound of the main entrance door banged as a young woman enters the room. Men''s eyes glares at her white loose blouse with her short mini-skirt. Their mouths drooling as her beautiful silver long hair passes through them. She reaches the bar and sits down pulling her latex dark high heel boots up.

    "Whiskey please". Her gentle and beautiful voice enchanted the entire atmosphere.

    The bartender nodded, unable to speak while being charmed by her beauty from this Japanese woman.

    "Where can I find the nearest university." She reaches for the bottle of whiskey.

    The bartender pulls out a map from his iBracelet and nervously handing it over with the bottle of whiskey.

    The iBracelet is essentially a cellphone that humans use to communicate but it also has the ability to hold inventory into a magical dimension.

    She grabs the map and scans her eyes through it, holding the bottle of whiskey as she walks toward the door. "Thanks" as she waves goodbye to the bartender.

    The young woman replies with a sigh. "Alice, Alice Sato". Her body then dissolves into particles of matter converting herself into the colour of the night sky.

    - Soundless Lagoon-

    Particles of dust appeared under the blue moonlight, forming a human image of Alice. She sits on the cold bench, reaching her hands to the sky as if she could have grabbed a star down.

    She lays down her head and closes her eyes.

    - Athena ¨C She chanted.

    A blank space of white appears around her field of vision. Fragments of crystal clear puzzle pieces scattering across the dimensions. Images appeared on the glass pieces.

    "Memories, blessings, curses, and fate. You won''t be able to avoid any of these" A majestic voice deepens the space.

    "Remember your promises." Alice opens her eyes as the voice echoes through her head.

    It''s been seven days since Alice had obtained Athene''s will. Each day, fragments of memories had corrupted Alice, allowing Alice to share the bonds of Athene. Losing herself and influenced by these fragments of fate. It wouldn''t be long till she loses herself into the path of the queen.

    Her black hair has been dyed with silk hair, leaving only a part of her original colour. Her black right eye infused with magical gold, engraved with the symbol of wisdom and wings of feathers. Leaving her to be heterochromia.

    The Starry stars brighten up, late night small creatures flew around the forest. The sound of water flowing down calms Alice down. She breathes in the fresh air provided by this divine lagoon. The spring-like warm breezes through her clothing as she lifts herself into the lake. She undresses, leaving her clothing on a boulder nearby and walks into the magnificent spring liquid.

    - Barrier ¨C She lifts her fingers and a transparent field appeared surrounding the area.

    Behind the shadows of the tree, a small figure came out of hiding.

    "Hehehe, stupid Alice, doesn''t she know, Sir Lancelot is incredible!?" A squeaky cute voice was made. The small figure digs through the soil and enters the barrier without Alice''s knowledge. An eight-inch albino creature sneaks behind the boulder and slowly approaches Alice.

    Alice naked body revealed itself underneath the water, relaxing and washing off the pain and memories that she wants to forget. Lucas, her first love. Father, dead and Yukie, still missing. "Only if, only if I was stronger. Only if I wasn''t born useless." She told herself as tears broke down, she cries, her voice reaches above. But the Soundless Lagoon carries it away, no vibrations can be allowed outside the lagoon. Nobody will ever know, except for the small perverted rabbit, Sir Lancelot.

    Alice lifts herself up and walks out of the lake, she reaches for her clothing as the rabbit panicked to hides himself. She grabs the ears of Lancelot and pulls him up. "Enjoyed the view?" She grins with an annoyed expression. "Tonight''s dinner. Roasted Rabbit.".

    Lancelot wipes the blood from his nose, panicking and struggling to set himself free. "I AM SORRY! Give me another chance!" He begged.

    "This is the fourth time already!" Alice throws the rabbit into the lake. "Reflect on yourself."

    The lake splashed as Lancelot dives into the water.

    "Why did I have to pick this pervert up." Alice sighs, as she puts on her clothing.

 Chapter 5: The Talking Rabbit

    - Three days ago - Outside the Castle of Verona -

    The wind chilled through Alice''s silver hair, she wandered through the forest. It''s been two days since she left the castle, all the food and water were mostly gone due to the war. She recognized she needed food but as a princess, she never hunted nor even been outside the castle. Wandering aimlessly, hoping to find someone or something that could guide her in this world.

    She walked on the beautiful snow and passes by uncountable amounts of winter bugs. For hours, there is no human insight, no voice to be heard and no sound to be made. It feels as if she''s trapped, cold and lonely with no source of warmth nor food. Her body weakens as her steps became slower, affected by the cold weather. Her breath heavily slows down, hugging herself to fight against the cold.

    "No! Don''t Sir Lancelot''s isn''t food!" A squeaky voice echoes through the woods. Noises of footsteps came closer as Alice scans her vision against the forest.

    ¡ªWisdom Eye ¡ª She chanted. Intangibles data spread through her vision.

    - Command: Search: Sir Lancelot" - Alice''s voice barely hearable.

    Her vision landed on a dashing rabbit running from a snow boar. Alice laughs gently as she walks toward the rabbit. She hasn''t smiled in a while, not to say laughing. Rabbits are common in Verona, they are a source of food for hunters and some even take them in as pets. But a talking rabbit is rare, most monsters do not have human speech expect for highly intelligent humanoids. But a talking rabbit, Alice doesn''t know anything like that.

    Lancelot trips and rolls on the white grass stopping himself at a tree trunk. He shakes his head, only to see the albino snow boar howling at him. Jaws opening wide, thrusting his body against the helpless rabbit. "I am sorry! Please don''t kill me!" The rabbit covers his head and ducked in onto the snow shaking in fear.

    Angelic feathers swim with the wind and launched itself into the heart of the monster. Blood splatter and spread across Lancelot''s adorable face.

    "Are you alright?" Alice appears in front of him. Reaching her hands and picking him up with both arms.

    The rabbit opens his eyes, a beautiful black haired with silver highlights appeared in this visions. "Hi, I am Sir Lancelot! The bravest warrior in the history of Verona!" He explains himself in excitement.

    Alice smiles gently and made a small enchanting laugh. "But you are a rabbit, how can you talk?" Her angelic goddess smile and her enchanting voice captivated him.

    He stunned himself, unable to respond to her question, only leaving a dull and dumb expression on his face. Only a while, he managed to agitate his mind and made a small voice. "Take me with you" The rabbit''s gentle voice breakthrough Alice''s broken heart. She realizes the rabbit must be lonely as well, being hunted by the stronger beasts. Being weak and alone in this cruel world, you are only a fodder.

    Her voice deepens as she stares into the blue sky. "For a rabbit to survive, he must grow horns."

    She dropped the rabbit onto the snow and directs her body towards the dead boar. She closes her eyes and chanted. -Athene-

    Blank space of white puzzle pieces appears in front of her. "Search: Fire Magic -

She opens her eyes and comes in contact with the boar, resting her hand on his dead body.

    - Ignite - She chanted, a small fire appears and spreads through the dead meat.

    Burning it and cooking it until edible. The delicious smell of roasted meat triggers their stomach to growl, she ripped out one of the legs and threw it to Lancelot. She stares at him with a serious expression. "Eat and get stronger", she continues to break the meat into pieces and devours like a monster who hasn''t eaten in years.

 Chapter 6: Demi-Human

    - Present Time -

    Black night conqueror the sky, moonlight shine upon the sleeping princess. Her hand holding the bottle from that inn, half empty as she pours the rest into her mouth.

    "Alice, what are you planning to do?" Sir Lancelot, sat beside her, chewing his orange carrot.

    Alice opened her eyes, emptiness and black on the left, while victorious golden on her right. "University, I need to know more about this world. School is probably the best." Alice has always been a schoolgirl, even though she was all home-schooled. Being the daughter of Yukie, who was a genius herself. Alice isn''t bad either. She is probably the brightest and the most intelligent kid in Verona. She even promised her mother that she will graduate from university.

    The rabbit concerned, "I guess, but you can always be a porn actress!" Lancelot smirked. "The rated 18+ industry is really popular now, you can make some good money!" He excitedly laughed.

    Alice smacked Lancelot and grabbed his ears, throwing him into the sky.

    "Let me down, let me down, I give up!" Lancelot panicked and dropped into Alice''s palm.

    "We don''t have a choice. I need to understand more about this world."

    The rabbit sighed. "Alright, but just to warn you. The city isn''t kind... especially for your kind." Lancelot pulls out his second carrot from his bag and passes over to Alice. "Eat and grow stronger!" He smiles brightly.

    Alice questioned "isn''t the city filled with humans as well. I mean I never met anyone outside the castle, but it shouldn''t be much different"

    Lancelot smiles gently at Alice. "Yeah, but... you are a Demi-human." He remains silenced as Alice absorbs this information.

    Alice''s expression changed, at first she was just wondering how other humans were like. But now her face is full of questions.

    "You don''t look any different but I can smell it. The monster blood in you. Demi-humans aren''t treated equally in the city." He continues to chew on his large carrot.

    Alice looked onto her hands. "I am.. a.. monst..er?..." She doesn''t believe it, 18 years of her life, she was told and lived as a human. Studying from her mother and her teachers, there is no possible way she was a monster. She thought to herself.

    Memories flash through her mind one moment at a time. Her mother, her father, the kingdom, and herself. She sighs as tears fell down from her eyes. She didn''t want to believe it but she cannot run from the truth. She hasn''t counted the times of crying. She tries to stop the tears but she cannot.

    Because she always knew. She was different from the rest. Why she was never allowed to be outside of the palace or why she was always alone. Her parents restricted her to make friends, she was told it was to protect her. But father always told his people it was to protect them, saying Alice''s power was uncontrollable. But she knew, she was mana-less and father didn''t want his people to know that.

    Alice eventually became rebellious from their actions and hated them for that. But her mother was right, she finally realizes this. She was protecting her. But it was all too late.

    It wasn''t that she was a monster that everyone should be afraid of. Oppositely, it was that she is a human in the continent of monsters. Verona is a kingdom of monsters.

    Alice wipes her tears off, finally stopped her cries. She laughs and reaches her hands to the skies but her voice deepens with a majestic tone. "Monsters, humans, and demons. Eventually, I will rise above all of them." Her golden eye shine at the stars.

    "Al...ice? Are you okay?.." The rabbit steps back, being afraid of her.

    Alice smiles gently and looked into Lancelot''s eyes "Human kindness? I will allow fate to decide that" She sighs, as she embraces the rabbit into her chest. "Next stop. Human City."

 Chapter 7: Memories

    "Boss, we are getting signals of a monster on the train." Eric lifts his glasses with his hand as he plays with his game console. "Should we go?". He asked in a careless manner.

    He lifts himself up and walks over to the enormous screen showing a field of the radiuses. He sighs.

    "Hold on to something!" Eric yelled with a panicking face. The furious wind blew, sharks attacked as the lightning strikes the controls. Destroying the ship into halves. Hana and Sarah both flew into the air carrying by the wind. There voiceless screams didn''t reach anyone as the ferocious cyclone took them away.

    Alice still holding still but the rails were falling apart. Surrounded by the sharks as she stands on her wooden piece of the boat. Sharks lunges their body with their violent jaws. The creature appeared in his vision, after killing a dozen goblins. The beast is seeking revenge.

 Chapter 15: Goblin Cave

    Alice standing on her small tiny wooden piece, with no direction to go. The tides carries her over and over again, resulting her to the same area.

    Staring into the blood of the sharks, a shadow of a creature swam up towards her. She rose her spear, preparing to stab it thinking it was another shark.

    "Who are you?" Alice gazed the old man with her killing aura, placing the tip of her spear onto his neck.

    "I am Zhang, an sailor" His Chinese accent roses as he spoke his name. He smiles at Alice, wanting her to remove the spear.

    "Turtle. Speak" Alice''s voice turned cold. She wanted to leave this area. Being stuck here wasn''t fun for her. She''s bored.

    "There is a island nearby, the Goblin Island. I can get you there!"

 Chapter 16: Ogre

    The black sky, filled with dark clouds as the raindrops silence the island.

    Eric and the others had no choice but to listen. His body smashed by the ogre, he knows how powerful the ogre is. Sarah who used up all her magic and Hana being a priest, they will only get in Alice''s way. At this moment, if Alice cannot win against the ogre. Who knows what will happen. The hopes are low. In their memories, Alice only struggled with the red lizardman a couple days ago.

She deflected the club and broke it in pieces with her halberd. She charges forward as the ogre loses balance. The spear stabs into his heart, breaking the mana-core he has. The ogre stood still as if he was dead with his eyes wide open. Alice pulls her weapon out, believing that he has died.

    The moment she turned to her back reaching for the cave. The ogre rose his right hand, with this last breath.

    "The ogre!" Eric shouted as he wants to warn Alice, but it was too late.

    The 3-meter green demon grasped his fist, putting every pressure into that final smash. Alice quickly turned her body and rose her halberd for protection as the massive fist impacted her, blasting her into the air, with her body smashing into the boulders of the cave.

    - Assault: Decimate - King steps forward, leaping into the air. Spinning his body as he performs a right axe-kick on to the helmet equipped onto the head. The helmet breaks apart with another kick with his left as King lands on the grass, stepping back avoiding the ogre''s attacks.

    The ogre''s bloody red eyes glowed as his jaws opened wide. "Human. Die." He roared with his deep dark short voice. His leap forward against King, swinging his swords as if they were weightless. His speed increased with every attack causing a ridiculous amount of pressure with the wind. King dodging and leaping between the blades, looking for another opportunity to strike.

    King retreated back, seeing the opportunity of melee combat is low. The ogre continues charging forward with his enormous weapons. Coming closer to King, unable to dodge anymore. He rose his hand into the sky. Gathering mana as he chants his spell.

    A spellcaster''s circle appears on the ground, deflecting and repelling the attack. Forcing the ogre to step back, creating an unbalanced on his body. The clouds formed together, the sound of lightning strikes as a typhoon of fierce wind breeze through his golden hair. Thunder clashed onto his hand as if he could have grasped it. With sparks of lightning immersing his entire body, King directed his hand toward the green beast.

    - Lightning Detonation: Kirin Pursuit - He grinned.

    Blue sparks fly into the air constructing a majestic beast in the form of a horse. The same size of the green ogre, with two large agarwood attached to his sharp ears and a large horn conducting blue lightning on his head. He stands on all fours, as his white royalty fur breezes with the storm.

    Thunder clashes as the majestic beast roar into the sky. He charges forward into the green ogre. The two large blades swing at the majestic beast but only passing through his body as if his blades conducted plasma. The green ogre''s body immersed in blue sparks as the Kirin dissolves into blue sparks exploding into a field of lightning.

    Thunder clashed once more, striking down directing on the fallen green ogre. The green beast fell on his knees. With his amour destroy, his body burnt, he held his blade, supporting himself from falling completing. With this last strength, he growls at King with his deadly but weak voice. Losing conscious as he completely feels defeat.

    King relaxes as he sighs with his breathing. "That didn''t kill him". King walks over checking the naked green beast. Flipping the body over and placing his hand onto the mana core.

    The mist conqueror Alice, surrounding her as she runs from the ogre. The path continued as if it was endless, without any clear sight. She ran into a dead-end. Black demonic wings grew on her back, as she launches herself into the air. Gliding her path, she reaches her hands out with her metallic claws. Tearing a piece of the ogre out as she landed behind his back. Blood spatter as she feeds herself with the green limbs. With no jaws nor tooth, an empty dark space appears from the mouth, consuming the piece of meat.

    She turns her head towards the ogre as she leaps forward tearing another part of the ogre off. The ogre repelled with his left fist, coming in contact with her body. Alice flies out from the impact smashing into the cold dead tree. She then lifts herself up and charges once more at the ogre. Ripping the left arm off this time, she steps back and bends like a tiger, striking with her body. Tearing the left and right leg off this time. The ogre screams in pains as if he was begging Alice to stop. Alice spins and flips her body, pinning down the ogre''s neck with her tail. Dealing another strike with her claws into the forehead, destroying his brain. Alice screams into the sky. The whole entire maze echoed with her vibration.

    Her vision turned to Sarah and Hana as if she does not recognize them. She launches her body against them. Rising her claws as she flies over. Dealing with a fatal strike as her bloodlust eyes shine in ruby light.

 Chapter 20 - Fateful Encounter

    The intense scream attracted the monsters in the maze as if it was calling out to them. Ogres, goblins of all kind directing themselves towards the location of the sound.

    Kiva reacts to the loud vibrating. With an unease expression on his face, his body dissolved into purple particles of matter as he vanishes into thin air.

    The metallic claws almost reaching Hana''s neck as she stood up, protecting the unconscious girls. Her eyes closed tight, not willing to discover the future. Only after a while, she slowly opens them, little by little, only to see Alice hesitating at the moment.

    Alice struggling herself to stop, as if she still has a little conscious of herself. Her eyes repeated altered back to its'' original colours against the colour of bloodlust red. Her right arm shakes with pressure as if she was trying to control it. Her mouth mumbling one single word, telling Hana to run.

    Hana stared at Alice, imaginary of the scene flashes into her mind. Fear consumes her as she falls onto the ground. Backing up, while praying to the gods.

    With the last control of her own will, she stabs right arm with her left claws, Her ruby colour eyes turning back to its original black as she screams once more. She turned her body away, wings scatter as she flies upward away leaving Hana alone. The black pure eyes, once again altered to bloodlust red.

    Hana breathes heavily, relaxing as if she just face a life and death situation. She rushes herself to check on Sarah. But her body still cold, blood flowing from her body, she has become closer with the realms of the dead. Hana shaking Sarah''s body, calling out her name until her voice breaks down.

    With no hope, she prays to the gods and goddess once more. As a priestess of the Chapel of Oracles, believing in divine beings was their role and duty. But just maybe, the gods haven''t given up on Sarah yet.

    Purple particles constructing itself into a human form appears in front of Hana. Kiva scans his eyes around, noticing the dying Sarah. He immediately waved his hand with a purple mana flow. A small portal appears as he reaches inside, grabbing a small blue potion.

    Kiva bends his legs as he approaches Sarah. He opened the bottle, pouring the liquid into Sarah''s mouth. Her body becomes colder as the potion takes in. Blood stopped bleeding with her temperature decreasing.

    King sidesteps dodging the metallic claws as he grabs Alice''s wrist with both of his hands. Turning his body with his feet, throwing Alice on to the ground as he bends his own body over. King immediately crunch down, strangling her neck with his right hand. While holding to Alice''s wrist with his left.

    "Who are you?" King repeated his question in a more serious tone.

    Alice roared once again, struggling to release herself. She flung her legs upward, striking King''s knee. Forced to block the leg with his right elbow, retreating as he jumps backwards.

    Alice and King both dodge the weapons, Alice spread her wings as she glides on to the ogre. Her broken claws come into contact with the tinplate amour only managing to scratch it. King ran to the side of the ogre''s left leg, striking his lightning but dealing no damage either. The ogre roar again, but this time it came with a laughter. "Humans. Foolish. Meat." The ogre''s dark voice reaches into their ears.

    Alice with her unstable mind charges once again, but this time. The ogre smashed its war hammer on to her. Alice fell into on the ground causing another small earthquake. The colour of red can be seen through the black mask of hers. Her black scales shatters, dissolving into black particles leaving her naked on the ground. Her black hair becomes partly silver as her eyes turn back to gold and black. Her eyes wavered once again, with her losing her conscious and fainting into darkness.

    King immediately took off his green jack and threw them onto the naked Alice. He steps forward with injury all of his body and his broken right arm.

    King grins at the ogre with his calm and serious voice he declared. "You are next on the chopping block"

 Chapter 21 - Ogre Lord

    The sky changed, thunder clashed as the ominous clouds formed together. The violent storm breeze through the atmosphere as King and the ogre stands still staring into each other. Bloodlust red eyes into the pure ocean green colours of King''s.

    King charges into the ogre''s field of vision, running behind and dragging him away from Alice.

    Lightning sparks the ground as the ogre turned his body towards King, chasing after him with his two weapons. The earth shook with his movements, as he swings his blade with his left destroying and cracking the ground.

    King leaps forward on to the blade, kicking the metal as a support to redirect his directions towards the green beasts arm. He spins midair as he chants - Assault: Decimate - impacting the limbs with his legs as he lands on the ground. The ogre hammered down with his right arm, smashing directly into King''s direction. King barely able to dodge, he sidesteps as he dashes with Lightning Pursuit.

    The war hammer smashes into the ground causing a friction of pressure forcing King to lose balance. King position himself, regaining his posture. He leaps forward, sparks fly on his body as he raises his left fist smashing into the chest of the ogre.

    The ogre roars as King''s fist comes in contact with his armour. Forcing King to retreat once again.

    The ogre laughed. "Human. Weak." He growls with his terrifying jaws, as he charges forward with his body.

The ogre lifts his right leg, slamming it down on to the little human. King leaps back, dodging the direct hit. The ogre moves his legs back, performing a soccer kick as if King was the ball.

    Losing his balance with the pressure, King is unable to dodge the direct attack. He crosses his arms together guarding himself. Right before the impact lands, the voice of King reaches out. His body disappears into sparks, leaving an afterimage of lightning as he reappears three meters backwards. Although he guarded, but the impact of the pressure was powerful enough to make King lose balance once again.

    The ogre rushes forward in rapid speed, he swings his huge butcher''s blade with massive force as King regains his balance. Before the blade comes in contact, a lightning force field appeared, fighting back against the blade. Forcing King to focus his attention towards the blade, the ogre rose his war hammer smashing downwards against the human.

A hooded - black robe with a design of a spider with red eyes attached to his back. A small green spider could have been seen along the shoulders on this man.

    King turned his body towards the man, still carrying Alice. "Spiders. What do you guys want?" King shouted in a cold manner.

    "Why should I tell a dead man?" The man raises his shoulders in a careless manner.

    "I like to see you try killing me," King responded with a small grin.

    "Oh no, what can I ever do to an injured, restless, and completely out of mana man?" The man laughed as he places his hands covering his eyes.

    King''s expression changed as if he is preparing to run.

    "Don''t worry, killing you is not my mission. My boss has a larger plan for you. But you see, if you died to a monster, then that is not really up to me." The man walked over to the dead ogre. The ogre''s red eyes shine once again, screaming in pain, his body repaired itself as he lifts himself up. The dead ogre, roared into the sky, with black markings all over his body. He charges forward against King.

    King immediately turned, running in his fasting speed. Without any mana and injuries all over his body. All he could do is escape while carrying Alice.

    The ran as the ogre chases with his enraged speed. The ogre leaps forward, rising his war hammer into the air, smashing in their direction. Unable to dodge this one, he threw Alice onto the grass as she rolls into a small tree.

    The hammer smashing into his vision, all he could do is guard with his broken arms. Forming a cross with his hand as thunder and lightning clashed.

 Chapter 22: Escape

    Black clouds dominated the sky, with the ominous wind breezing through the atmosphere. All Kiva can sense is a huge dark evil aura from the north. Noticing the red lightning before, Kiva immediately knew it was King. They were friends since childhood, there were no secrets between them. Both being orphans, they were each others'' family. As the weapons strike forward, Kiva dissolves into purple matters, evading the blade and hammer from the ogre. Purple particles reappeared, constructing itself into Kiva. With his human body, he spun with his two blades as the ogre''s head flew out from his neck. - Dimensional Cut - he chanted.

    He dissolves into purple matters once again forming himself in front of King. "Let''s go" He swipes his hands as if he was cleaning it.

    The ogre roared once again. Kiva turned head, with an unexpected expression on his face. He questioned. "Undead ogre?..." His body becomes purple particles reappearing with his two blades, cutting the ogre''s body into four pieces. Noticing there isn''t any blood he started to wander his mind. Having no answers until the ogre produced black lines retracting his body parts together.

    Kiva immediately ran, dissolving Alice and King into purple particles as well, transferring them into another place.

    Far to the north as they can, they reappear near a small forest of low ranked monsters. Kiva checks the injury of his two companions, pulling out small potions giving one out to King and another feeding it to Alice.

    Kiva spoked as Alice wakes up, still wearing King''s dark green jacket. Little by little she started to open her eyes, seeing the two guys in front of her.

    "How are you doing, sleeping beauty?" Kiva''s voice reaches out to the Alice that just woke up. She felt as if she has been sleeping for days, tired and restless as she moves her body. She notices her naked body being covered by a large jacket, her mind wanders aimlessly into what happened.

    "She looks a lot different now" King relaxes as he drinks the red potion, sitting down nearby a small tree.

    "What happened when I passed out...?" Alice questioned as she agitated her head.

    "You don''t remember anything?" Both of the males responded.

    "All I remember was seeing Sarah and the ogre" Alice answered with a quiet voice.

    She wandered herself through the white dimension, hoping for someone or something to appear. The white dimension shined in luminous lights, immersing itself as grass overwhelm her below. Clear blue sky with white clouds formed above her, as trees and lakes appear constructed itself with magic.

    She stands in front of a small lodge, she walks towards it trying to open the wooden doors. As she comes to contact with her hands, she passes through it as if she was a spirit.

    Inside the lodge, she sees a young man with two horns on his head and demonic scales that covers half his body. His shoulders wrapped in bandages as he rests on his bed. His white hair revealed his beautiful face as his eyes slowly awakes.

    He lifts himself up as the door behind Alice opens. Entering a black Japanese woman, the man on the bed smiled.

    "Running, we have to escape to the third floor. We can''t turn back, we have to find a room for the last boss." Kiva spoke as he runs.

    At the center, the green poison hair man was standing there, holding a blue gem. He notices the figures of Alice, King, and Kiva. Greeting them with a small laughing grin.

    "The Jewel of the Sea is at the throne room. It has the powers of Poseidon and the god he is fighting. There are always two sides to things, especially power. Like Ying and Yang, the Jewel also has its good side, the side of harmony and peace of the sea." Athena''s voice spoke.

    "How do I stop that monster up there?" Alice asked.

 Chapter 24 - Mother Lycosidae

    Arriving at the third floor, looking for tracks of The Spider, Kiva and King wandered around the maze as the rain stopped. The winds calmed down as the thunder disappears with the ominous black clouds. The dark skies became beautiful night blue, shining with bright skies of the north. As the blue cresent blue lies upon the heavenly sky.

    "Did they do it?" King asked as he also stares into the stars.

    "The water giant is still there, but the weather''s clear." Kiva shook his head.

    "Stephanie doesn''t have this power, you think its Alice?" King added.

    "Probably, Alice and her rabbit. I can''t figure them out. They might have powers beyond us." Kiva spoke in a serious tone.

    "Alice, I might agree. But the rabbit? Really?" King asked as if it Kiva was joking.

    King smiled at King, ignoring his question and moved on towards the summit.

    Reaching to the summit of the open field, there stands a green haired man. Looking at the water giant, enraged as he turns himself towards King and Kiva.

    "You guardians always get in the way!" The man yelled in rage.

    The man lifts his arms, tiny black spiders appeared from his feet. Eight legs walking on the mountain grounds surrounding Kiva and King as if they are their prey.

    "The story never lies, the bad guy will always be at the top, watching the innocent suffer." King grins as his voice reaches the man.

    "Innocent?! Who? Guardians? Gods? Demons? Or the pathetic worthless humans!?" The man shouted into the skies.

    "You people are nothing! Just pawns towards the larger goals!" The man laughs.

    He lifts his fingers, directing them towards King and Kiva. "Die!" He shouted.

    Tiny dark spiders crowding around, splitting out black threads from their mouths.

    The man immediately places his hand on to his face, moving it upwards across his hair. "No matter, you aren''t a match for me anyway." He cocky speech echoes as if he has calm down from the surprise.

    "We will see about that." King moved towards him, cracking his own knuckles and twisting his neck.

    Kiva leaps back dissolving into purple particles of matter as King rushes forward with this fist.

    - Lightning Fist - King shouted as blue sparks flow into his grasp, as he crushes his fist into the head of the man.

    The fist passes through as if it came in contact of thin air. But unlike Kiva''s abilities, the man had dissolved into hundreds of spiders, crawling on King''s body. Shook by this moment, instead of panicking, he chooses to be calm. Calling down the thunder from the skies, striking into his body.

    Hundreds of spiders electrocuted, escaping from King and rebuilding themselves into the green haired man.

HIs body converts itself into thousands of black and green spiders, spreading themselves on to the ground, reforming his own body.

    King stares at the creepiness of Kaz''Zir, as he stands up with the body made of spiders. Human skin reformed and his hair becoming green. The rest of his spiders gathered, crawling on his body, transmitting themselves into his clothing.

    Kaz''Zir twist his neck as if he had bones, he shrugs his shoulders. "It''s my turn." He grins as he bends down, placing his right hand onto the ground.

    From the soil and the ground, the earth cracks out, as hundreds of black tiny eight-legged creatures appear out combining themselves into a 3-meter spider.

    "Mother Lycosidae, my greatest creation. That is your dinner." He points to King, as he commands the spider to move.

    The three-meter large creature jumped into the sky on its'' eight legs, looking at King with its eight eyes while splitting out green venom from its mouth.

    King sidesteps to the right, dodging the incoming venom, remembering that spiders were dangerous, he steps back as sparks immerse on his hands.

    The spider landed down, causing a small earthquake shaking the land. It runs at intense speed, shooting out black silk from its bottom as if it was making a web.

    King matches its spell, keeping his distance while chanting and casting a basic spell of Thunderbolt. Blue strikes of lightning fires from King''s palms as he targets the legs of the massive creature. Slowing down its movements, but unable to destroy it.

    The spider moves its legs left to right, as it dodges some of the thunderbolts. It leaps forward toss out its green venom from her mouth as it weebs her webs.

    King scans his eyes across the field, noticing much black silk thread layout on the ground. Recalling these threads as anti-divine, he realizes he should take this seriously. King jumped forward into the air against the spider, raising his right hand into the air.

    Blue lightning immerses from his hands, creating a spear of lightning. - Thunder Spear - He chanted as he threw the spear against the green venom, decimating it and incinerating it with sparks. The spear hits one of the spider''s eyes. Mother Lycosidae cried in pain, screaming its nasty voice into the skies. Engaged as her eyes drop down green and black blood. King landing in front of the spider, he lifts his legs as he does a roundhouse kick while chanting the spell - Assualt: Decimate - destroying the right hallow fang.

    The spider flew back due to the impact, she lands on her eight legs, screaming and growling at King. She charges forward at intense speed, leaping on the spider webs that she created, knowing that King cannot touch it. She withstands the lightning sparks with her anger, mindless thinking of eating her prey.

    The black threads surround King, trapping him in spots where he cannot move freely. The spider withstanding his magical spells, his only choice was the eyes. He raises his hand once again, tapping his left waistband, pulling out a pair of steel gauntlet from his magical inventory. Casually wearing them on, as the spider lunges forward with its fang.

    He''s violent eyes stared into the other eyes of the spider. With the approaching fang, he covers his fist with his left hand, while pulling his right arm back, lunging a straight into the spider''s fang.

    - First Strike: Thousand Pounds - The spider''s fang crushed and destroy as she smashes into a nearby boulder.

    He leaps through the air with Lightning Pursuit, excels his way towards the spider. Following up another strike with his steel gauntlets - Second Strike: Gravity Obliterate -, smashing another eye of the spider. He then closes his hands together, releasing them as sparks emit, forming a spear of lightning. He holds the spear with both of his hands, slashing the weapon and destroying rest of Mother Lycosidae''s eyes, along with eight of her legs. Stabbing into the heart of the monster, he lifts her into the air with his lightning spear, throwing it on to Kaz''Zir.

    Green and black blood scattered across the air, scorching some of the black threads and the regular v-neck that King wears. He immediately, rips his top apart, tossing it into the winds. Revealing this muscle mass but beautiful body.

    "Mother Lycosidae! How dare you! How dare you!" Kaz''Zir cries with rage, shouting at King.

    "This was my greatest creation! How dare you harm it!" He places his hand on the three-meter spider. Touching and petting it with affection.

    "Don''t worry, I will make you better, as soon as I kill this bastard." His voice soften as he talks to the spider. The surroundings became black, filled with dark magic particles, gathering towards Kaz''Zir and his spiders. Thousands of tiny little creatures crawled onto their bodies as if they were consuming them with darkness. The darkness formed an image of an eight-legged creature, the bottom was a spider but the top was human.

    The image revealed itself, it was Kaz''Zir, but he was attracted to a body of a spider. Becoming a 5-meter Arachne himself, he laughs as he stares into King with his eight eyes. Four at his face, two on the top following by another two underneath. The other four under his waist, with the same positions.

    "You fused yourself with your summoning?" King questioned.

    "To defeat you and for my revenge, this is nothing" His voice nasty than before reaches out.

    King charges forward with Lightning Pursuit, appearing in front of Kiz''Zir. - Final Strike: Soul Severance - His fist crashes into the arcane, but only passing through as spiders deformed his body, crawling onto King''s arms.

    Hundreds of hundreds of spiders crawling, overwhelming and consuming his body with darkness.

 Chapter 25: Goddess of the Sea, Mazu

    The clear night blue sky shines with bright stars, the blue moon brightens the land it''s light. Alice floating in front of the water giant, gazing her eyes onto Poseidon''s Stone. The giant claps his arms, directing the impact on to Alice. She spreads her arms, stopping the hands before collapsing onto her.

    "Do you defy me?" Alice spoke with a grin on her face.

    The soundless sea giant roars without a voice. The ocean tides rose once again, forming black clouds of raindrops. Alice smashes her fist on to the giant''s head, the giant steps backward due to the impact. Again, she controls the wind of the sea, gliding herself around the body, decimating the giant. The giant scattered into liquid, reforming himself with every impact.

    The giant smashes this hands into Alice, reaching upon her, Alice guards with her hands forming a cross with along her body. Instead of going through her like last time, the fist made of liquid impacted her, blasting her away along with the winds.

    "It doesn''t have eyes or ears, how can it sense me?" She questions herself as if she would know the answer.

    The giant charges forward on its'' two legs, pulling his right arm back as if he was preparing to strike. Alice tempers with the wind, gliding herself, dodging the fist as he moves to it''s left.

    - Angel Feathers: Command: Kill - She chanted.

    A dozen of white feathers appears to her side, scattering across and surrounding the water giant, piercing through its liquid body. Disrupting its movements along with all the other spells from Stephanie''s team.

    Being physical and magical invulnerable, as the only one who could touch his thing was Alice.

    Stephanie standing still on the ground, witnessing every single moment. With an unbelievable expression on her face, she speaks. "What kind of monster is this..." She sighs, as she helps out on her team.

    "Boss, what should we do?" One of the members speaks as Stephanie reaches them.

    "Leave this to her." She turns her head towards the summit. "We will go over there, I sense an enormous amount of black magic." She directs herself towards the summit.

    Alice gliding herself around the sea giant, watching him reform himself. Realizing that brutal force wouldn''t be enough to stop the giant.

    She has to tap into more of the divine powers, an overwhelming strength that can destroy this beast. Recalling Athena''s powers were a blessing and a curse, using Mazu''s would be same. Athena and Mazu''s powers are different. Athena''s powers are awakened, using her powers will lead to consequences. But Mazu is a memory of Athena, calling upon Mazu is only possible because the goddess herself had allowed it. By doing so, Alice has to face the consequences of using another divine''s powers. And the more she uses, the more she will lose herself into the path of the queens.

    Her expression agitated, as the giant approaches closer to human grounds. Knowing that if she doesn''t stop this right here, it would be too late.

    Enchanted by this appearance, giving her similar feelings when she first met Athena. Divine, beautiful and majestic even though she didn''t dress like a queen.

    "The Jewel of the Sea, you want to stop it?" She smiles gently.

    "Yes," Alice replied.

    "It contains the massive force of Poseidon, if used wrongly, it can cause thousands of innocent lives." She mentions as she guides Alice towards the lodge nearby.

    It is a small lodge, they sit down as they stared into each other''s eyes. The ocean green eyes of Mazu felt like the calmness of the sea. As Alice''s bright golden eyes shined with bravery.

    Mazu sighs, "It dangerous, if the Heaven discovers that Athena has awakened, she might just be seal once again, but this time, for eternity." Her voice deepens along with her serious eyes.

    "Three thousand years ago was a mistake, you must never let it happen again. Go and face the giant. It would be the last thing I can help you two." She voice disappears as Alice''s scenery changes into her reality.

    With too many questions in her mind, she only wonders whether she is strong enough to handle it.

    Wandering questions running around her head, Athena, Mazu and the Gods. She needs to understand them. Putting those thoughts aside as she faces the giant once again.

    The water giant standing here, rampaging the sea and calling upon destruction.

    A gentle voice echoes through her mind. "Alice, let me control your body."

    "What? How?" Alice replies back to Mazu.

    "Relax and accept my powers. Right now, you only have a part of them, you are only influenced by me. You won''t be able to stop this with the current strength you have." Mazu speaks through her mind.

    "Alice my dear, only you can stop this destructive beast." She continued.

    Alice closes her eyes once again letting out a small sigh. Slowly and gently the winds that breezes around her soften. Instead of a strong wind that glides around her, the gentle wind was filled with warmness and it seems to have accepted Alice as its master.

    The ocean started to calm once again as the clouds faded away, revealing its blue moon.

    Alice opens her eyes, her gold eye shines brightly under the blue light, but her other eye shined with the colour of the sea.

    She grins, as she flies freely across the air. Rasing herself, above the head of the water giant. She smashes her fist into it, the giant crushes into water blocks.

    The giant regenerated itself with the rising tides of the ocean, forming his huge body once again. Alice strikes around fist but this time into its chest, where the heart of the monster lays.

    Once again, the giant breaks into water blocks, regenerating back around the Jewel of the Sea. Alice notices this, she immediately rushes in, grabbing the jewel before it can fully regenerate back.

    She glides herself farther into the skies while crushing the rising waters. Eventually, the water became calm and the giant falls to rest, dissolving itself into the ocean.

    She gazes on the Jewel of the Sea. With Mazu''s processioning her body, she could tell the jewel has been corrupted. Originally It was a small orb, containing a balance of two powers. But now, the jewel has a small component of dark magic.

    The more she stares at the jewel, the more she worried. Suddenly the blue sapphire orb started to shine in black, releasing a black energy spreading on to her hand as if it was consuming her. Her arms started to feel a burn without flames, she immediately drops the stone from her hand. Half of her right arm immersed in black energy as she screams in pain. Following the stone, she drops herself into the ocean, into her own kingdom.

    The pain stopped as the black energy fades away into the ocean. She reaches for the stone floating in clear sea water, but she immediately swam away from it as it spreads it darkness, corrupting the green waters.

    The ocean water changing its colours to black, spreading all across, taking over as Alice stares into the Jewel of the Sea.

    Her expression agitated with her eyes becoming depressed. "I''m sorry, my dear." Mazu''s voice came out of Alice''s mouth.

    Breathing under the water was nothing to a divine goddess, not less, talking underneath it. Alice swims towards the black stone, grasping it with her both of her hands.

    She chanted - Aqua Consumption - The darkness retracts, the ocean waters becoming its original colours. But instead of retreating to the stone, it spreads into Alice''s body. Becoming a source of black mana entering her soul.

    The Jewel of the Sea slowly turning into a crystal white transparent stone. Mana overflows into Alice''s body as she Mazu exits her procession while falling asleep into the ocean waters.

    Her body sinking deep and deeper as her eyes wavered. Her body felt restless, unstable, and weak.

    Purple particles of matter appear in her sight, forming a human image.

    "Ki...va..." Alice tries to speak, but the water overruns her tongue, making her breathless.

    Kiva reaches Alice, places his mouth on to hers giving her air as they both dissolve into purple mass.

    They arrived in the small den where the group rests. Placing Alice nearby the small fire, keep her warm.

    "Take care of Alice." Kiva''s cold voice speaks without any warmth as his expressions enrage.

    Again, he becomes purple particles transferring himself to another place.

    He reforms himself at the highest place of the Maze. A place where no one could reach and no one could see with the human ability. There stands a tall mysterious figure of plain darkness. A figure of a man.

    Kiva stands there, approaching the man, he spreads his right arm, as his purple glass blades appear to his hand.

    "You have gone too far this time." Kiva''s cold voice fills with anger.

    The man turns around, with a black spiritual face, he smiles.

    "Kiva, I have longed for you to come." His voice was deep and cold but it comes with terror as if it was from hell itself.

    Kiva slashes with his blades, the spiritual figure fades away, reappearing behind him.

    "Someone is anger today." He laughs with his dark voice.

    "Was it that girl?" He fades away, reappearing in front of Kiva.

    "You like her, don''t you?" He laughs as Kiva''s blade passes through.

    "Oh stop it. You know it wouldn''t work. After all, you are my brother." He laughs again as he floats around Kiva.

    "Brother, you had everything. You stole everything from me. Father, mother and that powers of ours. You are living my life, you stole that life from me." He shouted in rage.

    "Now, I am going to take that girl from you. She will be my tool for conquest." He laughs again.

    "Shut up," Kiva replies with his cold voice.

    "Join me. Think about it. The powers of Athena, to our commands." He stares at Kiva with his smile.

    Kiva ignores his words, walking away from him. As his body starts to dissolve into purple mass.

    "You can''t hide her forever. After all, you are a Guardian." He laughs.

    "None of your business," Kiva replies as he transfers himself away towards the place where he left King.

    He reappears at the summit, only hoping that they can finally get home. With his maze cleared and the mission complete. There was no reason to be here anymore.

    King and Stephanie appear to his vision. Bleeding with blood but laughing with joy as Kiva appears.

    Crimson sparks emitting on the ground, with thousands of spider corpses laying dead. Stephanie supported King as they walked towards Kiva.

    "Let''s just go home." They smiled as their weak voice speaks out.

    "Yeah, buddy. You did well," Kiva replied with a smile and a small pad on King''s shoulders.

 Chapter 26 - University of Saria Kingdom

    Blue skies, white clouds. The wind breezes through calmed as the sunshine upon the lands.

    It''s been three days that Alice and the group left the maze and its island. Eric breakthrough all his efforts and energies just to contact the headquarters. Picking them up as the skies were cleared and the giant was crushed.

    Stephanie, King, and Kiva returned to the headquarters to report their missions since they are sector leaders. Hana, Eric, the girl with glasses and the middle-aged man are gathered together for treatment since they were injured the most asides from Sarah, who is still in deep treatment. While the priest returned to her church and everyone else was not to be found.

    Only Alice still sleeps due to over-using her powers.

    - Meeting Room of Headquarters -

    A cubical room with soundproof walls surrounding them appears to Kiva''s vision. A window that shows the map of the world. Eleven members sit around the roundtable on their movable chairs. Stephanie looking into her small mirror applying makeup, as King falls asleep with his head down on the table. Only Kiva pretends to listen to the small girl lecturing them. With a height and age around Sarah and Hana, she stood there pointing her laser pen on the world map.

    "Attention! King, Kiva, and Stephanie!" She redirects her pen towards them.

    "This is important!" She continued.

    Kiva shakes King''s shoulders waking him up, smiling at the blond haired girl.

    "The atmosphere is becoming dangerous, we have reports showing many monsters going on a rampage. Especially those lower ranking ones. We need to find the source of this as soon as possible before it spreads towards the higher rankings." Her cold voice spreads a chill to the members.

    "This is a serious matter, I want all sectors to send members to protect citizens in your own assigned cities and travel around to gather more information from different cities." She continued with her plan.

    "If there aren''t any questions, return to your sectors and Kiva stays. " She finishes her speech.

    Stephanie closes her pocket mirror, with a gaze on to Kiva. "Be careful, who knows what this demon will do to you." She whispers to his ear.

    Stephanie drags King away, leaving only Kiva and the short girl alone.

    Exiting the door, these two decided to stay, placing their ears on the door.

    Kiva stares into her eyes, as she stares back. With awkward silence going on for a minute, Kiva finally speaks. "Elizabeth... Did you need something?"

    The girl approaches kiva slowly with small walks. Closing her hands together, making a small pouch on her face, turning her head away as if she was embarrassed.

    "Umm... Are you free this Friday..." She speaks in a small voice.

    Kiva expression turns blank, "Uhh?" He replies as he tilts his head.

    She bites her lips as she tries to speak a little louder. "This Friday... Are you free...?"

    Kiva smiled, laughing gently with his eyes upwards as if he was thinking. "Are you asking me out?" His voice reaches Stephanie and King''s ears.

    "No! Of course not! You idiot! I am.. I am going on a trip... for work! Just... wondering if you were available to come!" Her face turns red as her pitch rises.

    Kiva smiles gently, his cold voice filled with warmth. "Sure, why not."

    The door pushes open, Stephanie charged in as King fell to the ground with the sudden movement.

    Stephanie smiled with an annoyed face, "Elizabeth, don''t you think it''s not fair that you are only bringing Kiva?."

    Elizabeth replied back with the same expression. "I only need him." Her cold voice reaches Stephanie.

    "I am coming too." Stephanie points to herself.

    "Me too" King smiles as he lays on the ground.

    - Sector Seven -

    Alice wakes up with a small pain all over her body. She realizes that she has returned to the platform of sector seven. Lifting herself up, she views herself in the mirror. Her expression surprised with the voice of Athena echoing into her mind,

    "It''s pretty sexy, fits you a lot," Athena commented.

    "A purple mini-sleepshirt?... It''s probably Katherine''s..." Alice responds to Athena.

    The sound of door knocking reaches her ears.

    "Alice are you awake? It''s Hana." Her voice vibrates through the door.

    Noticing the doors are not locked, Alice replies her to come in.

    The door pushes in, Hana and the rest of the group barges in. Speechless to see Alice showing her skin with her nightgown.

    Alice stares at them as they stare back. "Hello?" She approaches them waving her hands in front of their eyes.

    Hana sighs as she recalls her memories of Alice turning into that black demon. Thinking that might have affected her, she decided to keep it a secret. Sometimes, not knowing is better than telling them the truth, Hana thought in her mind.

    "A lot has happened, let''s just give her some time." Hana leads them to the lobby room.

    As Alice gathers at the lobby room, they all sat down as if they are going to into a discussion.

    "My name is Robert Scott and this girl is Oliva Taylor" The middle-aged man speaks. "We came from the University of Saria Kingdom" He continues.

    He takes a deep look into Alice''s eyes, "Would you like to study at this university? I have seen your abilities in the maze. I think it would be a great opportunity for you to learn to control your powers." Robert encourages with his large smile.

    University was Alice''s original plan when coming to this place. She wanted to learn more about the world and more knowledge about Athena as well. But as a member of Guardians, does she even have this obligation? She thinks to herself.

    "Alice, I think its best for you to go. Meet some new friends and enjoy school life." Hana interrupts her thinking.

    "I will think about it." Alice smiled.

    Robert took out a card from his small canvas bag, handing it over to Alice as he speaks. "This is my business card, contact me whenever you consider joining."

    Alice bows as thanks, taking the card with her as she reaches into the shower room.

    "Sorry about that, she has been through a lot..." Hana apologizes to Robert and Olivia.

    Robert laughs gently, "Don''t worry about it. Kids will always be kids." He leaves as Olivia follows them towards the dock.

    Hot water pouring down from the shower head. The sound of water dripping covers the pathing of her breathing.

    "Consider of going?" Athena''s voice echoes into her mind.

    "I don''t know, after what I did to Hana. I really don''t know. If leaving like this would be fine." Alice sighs.

    "Your demon blood and the berserker stone. It wasn''t your fault." She tries to convince Alice.

    "Powerful tools that will allow you to become stronger, once you master them." She continues.

    Alice lifts her head upwards, feeling the hot warm immersing her body. Feeling rested and relaxed as she leaves the shower. Stepping out to the shower room, she finds Hana sitting there as if she was waiting for quite some time.

    Alice stares into Hana''s eyes, knowing that she couldn''t escape the guilt. She reaches for the towel, covering her body as she sits beside her.

    "Hana... I am sorry." Alice speaks.

    Hana made a small smile with her gentle voice, she lets out a small laugh.

    "It''s alright Alice, I know it wasn''t your fault. You didn''t actually attack me." She scratches her head.

    "Alice, go to the university. Learn how to control your strengths and come back and help our sector. I never have seen a person with your talent and potential, come back when you are stronger. We need you by our side." Hana gently speaks to Alice.

    - 3 days later -

    Alice stands in front of the gates, with her blue student blazer with a white blouse and mini-pants. Apparently, University of Saria''s uniform was similar to Guardian''s uniform, there isn''t much of a change except for its logos.

    This school is separated into main campuses and sub-campuses. Alice is enrolled in the largest one, Campus of Saria, named after the Kingdom itself. This school is known for its technology, battle competitions, and knowledge throughout the whole Kingdom.

    Since Alice is only at the age of adulthood, she is enrolled as a first-year student.

    She enters the doors of the campus along with other first-year students. The ancient building made of the prettiest materials and the beautiful lights shine down with harmony making the place peaceful and relaxing.

    Stairways leading to doors after doors as if it was an endless aisle, Alice gazed her eyes on the group leader. An upper-class female who was responsible for taking the freshmen on a tour. She raises her hands pointing to all the different objects and clarifying what they were as they continued walking through the campus.

    Alice noticed small creatures flying above them, she activities her wisdom eye as white lines of data appears showing her information on these creatures.

    The tour guide notices Alice staring at above, she points to them and describes those creatures with her cute voice. "Those are messengers, they send letters inside and outside the school. You see, inside the campus, all signals are blocked. Therefore, you won''t be able to communicate through your devices. This is to enforce students to cut out outside relationships, only this way, students can focus on their studies and training."

    "You should all get one, as they can do more than just sending messages. For example, assisting you in alchemy, forging, crafting, and even battling. Of course, they will cost you a lot." She smiles as she finishes.

    "How do we get one?" One of the students speaks.

    "Idiot, you need to buy it! The higher the level of these, the more they cost." Another replied.

    "I read that you can purchase them in the school marketplace!" A female student speaks out.

    "All right, all right! Attention!" The tour guide shouted as the bell rings.

    The group rushes to their classes, bumping into one and another. While Alice still staying there, not understanding what is going on. As a homeschool student, she has no actual classroom experience. All she could do is search for her classroom number.

    She walks towards the upper classmate, "I am looking for room number 2045, can you take me there?" Alice questions.

    She smiles, walking toward one of the staircases as Alice follows. Turning around corners another, they finally reach a green old steel door.

    "I am afraid I can only take you this far." She immediately runs backs and leaves Alice alone as if she was feared of this door.

    Alice ignoring her, turning the knobs and pushing the door open. A huge blast of wind breeze through her face. She steps forward on to the small cliff as if she was on the mountains. She scans her eyes towards the view, a bridge connecting two clifts together and another door with the markings of ''Room 2045'' on it.

    She turns her vision around, a man wearing the same school uniform appears to her sight. Black feathers spread as his wings, carrying him into the skies. He passes through the bridge landing in front of the door, releasing Alice from his hands.

    He turned towards her, "Hey beautiful, haven''t seen you around, new student?" He smiles with his gentle voice.

    Alice regains her balance and agitated her mind, looking at this black-hair young man. Before she could speak, a female''s voice was heard behind their backs.

    Alice turns her head, a pink long hair girl showed up, she kicks the young man behind his back, crushing him into the doors. "Stop flirting and get inside." She made an annoyed face.

    The door forced opened by the impact, slamming into the ground. Alice breathes heavily as she enters the room.

    The classroom was small with thirty wooden desks and plastic chairs. White walls covering the cubical room with windows showing the outside view. A blackboard full of scratches and drawings with twelve students messing around. Everyone turns there attention to Alice, being the newest member of the class, she easily became their target.

    A crimson scarlet hair girl stopped drawing with her chalk. She turns her body toward Alice. She had a similar body type as Alice, but instead of a uniform, she had latex bodysuit from her chest to her legs. Only revealing her white upper arms as skin. She grins at Alice as soon as their eyes matched each other.

    She flips her chalk into the air, she then twists her body catching the chalk and throwing it towards Alice.

    Alice instinctively catches the incoming chalk as it approaches her cheeks.

    "Welcome to Classroom 2045." She speaks with her majestic voice as she grins at Alice.
