 Prologue

    I was doing my part-time job in a certain coffee shop, saving up to buy the newest video game console.


    "Ha?"


    I could not help making a confused sound like a fool.


    One second ago, I was sure I was standing on the wooden floor, pouring the coffee to my customer glass.


    But right now I was pouring the black liquid into the grass. The plastic table, the wooden walls, the jazz music and the other people were gone.

    I stopped pouring the coffee onto the ground, looking around the wide grassy plain with a frown.

    I pinched my own cheek, trying to check whether or not I was dreaming and it was hurt.

    No, actually I did know what was happening. This was the famous ''I got transported into another world cliche'', like the one I read on the lit-rpgnovel.


    But where was the floating screen, the shining magic circle or the greeting from the god?!


    No, this sort of thing was not important. Or perhaps it was not completely unimportant, inshortI just keep it aside for now.


    The most important thing was, what kind of situation was I currently in.


    Before me lay a large savanna without even any shade.


    And I foolishly thought it was a good idea to keep walking, trying to see what I could find maybe something like a newbie village?


    At first, I thought I could somehow manage but about three hours later, I still couldn''t see anything around except savanna, savanna and more savanna. And for god sake, the sun was hot, hot enough to keep the coffee stayed warm in its pot and making my clothes drenched in a sweat.

    "Is there someone around?!" I shouted loudly, hoping that something would happen. "Hello?! Anyone?! Someone?! Is there anyone around!"


    I did not have any expectation though. Forgot about a human was answering my question, even I couldn''t hear or see an animal.     I blankly stood, truthfully I didn''t want to use this method, but it seemed like I didn''t have any other choice.


    I sat down, crossing my legs, closing my eyes and starting to concentrate.

    About twenty minutes later, I hadn''t received an answer, maybe my method was wrong.


    This time, I knelt down, clasping my hands, closing my eyes and cried out with a loud voice. "God! Please give me the sign toward the newbie village!!"

    Yep, what was I thinking about? there was no way that could work.


    And all of that shouting making my throat sore, indeed I was bringing a coffeepot with me but I really wanted to drink a water rather than a bitter hot coffee.

    I turned my head, and I could see the grass wildly shook, but I couldn''t see what make it shook, though whatever it was, it must be quite a small one.


    As the rustling came closer, my heart was beating faster, it was heading towards me but I still couldn''t see its shaped, maybe it was a slime? or a goblin?


    No!!! It was a dozen of long and slender pinkish tentacles, bursting out of the grass, towering into the sky, squirming and wriggling around.


    I didn''t know what it was but I had seen enough hentai to know what would happen next!!


    Without hesitation, I threw the coffeepot and sprinting away from the tentacles as far as I could.


    For the whole five minutes, I was running, trying to keep my chastity intact as the tentacles were chasing after me, lucky enough it completely stopped chasing after me, a few centimetres before it could grab my leg, seemed like the tentacles already reached its maximum length.


    But I was learningtwo things from this encounter.


    First, the tentacles were long, like very long, long enough to keep stretching for ten minutes.


    Second, it seemed the tentacles host couldn''t move from its initial position, as the tentacles slowly moving away even though I was standing still, holding my knees, panting, couldn''t bare myself to run for another second.


    I gazed at the tentacles direction, and after making sure that it was completely gone I collapsed on the ground, looking up at the perfect forget-me-not blue sky.

    Just when I protested about that, the transparent screen floating right in front of my face.

 Chapter 1

    Yes, indeed the status screen was floating in front of my face.


    But what the hell was these kinds of statuses?!


    Where was the standard Strength, Agility or Vitality?!


    No, this sort of game did exist in Earth, and some of these games would even hide the character¡¯s ability.


    But there were just too many stats. Although some seemed self-explanatory, there was no real information available to me. Apparently, I would have to learn through trial and error.


    Then again, let''s started with the body status. At least for me, everything except flexibility and lightness was clear enough.


    My best guesses: Physical was something like a muscle enhancer, to let me lifted heavy object easily.


    Movement seemed to let me increasing my movement speed? this was a little vague, but it was crystal clear Movement was related to... movement.


    Fortitude and resistance seemed to be the typical defence and magic resistance.


    And raising Vision would let me see something farther? then if that was the case, hearing seemed to be the useless one.


    Next, it seemed to be like that. So as to say, once I got the Slash skill, I would become an expert with any slashing weapons.


    But what would happen if I threw the sword? Or pierce someone with a sword? What category would that be?


    Of course, no one would answer me though. Let''s just assume it I pierce something with a sword then I would need the Piercing Skill.


    The next part was the magic, as far as my knowledge went, Divination should be a magic that would reveal an information, Evocation was the attacking magic, Blessing and Curse supposedly the magic that increased or decreased the target condition, Enchantment controlling others mind, Illusion creating an illusion, Summoning to summon a creature and Transmutation changed the property of some condition.


    At least that was what I knew. After all, there was insufficient information. Although there were many things that could be presumed, even I didn''t know whether or not it would have the same rule as the normal video game.

    Now I''d just realized this, but since the letter was in my local language, that would mean I could communicate with someone else, right?


    No, no, no I shouldn''t get distracted by the small detail right now.


    Everything from Mastery seemed to be the support skills or normal citizen skills.


    I let out a big sigh, in the end, it looked like the only way for me to understand better was allocating the skill point.


    But what should I get first?


    Divination seemed to be useful, at least for now. Then again, Foraging meant I could forage better right? shouldn''t this settle the food and water problem?


    Then again, Movement, Physical, Fortitude and Resistance seemed necessary for survival.

    I noticed when I put a point into the divination, my mana and mana regeneration respectively raised by 2 and 4. Then I heard a neutral godlike voice saying "Congratulations! You have learned Divination Magic Lvl 1, please choose four from the following effects. Warning, once you choose the effects it can''t be undone."


    Detect Magic, Detect Poison, Detect Secret, Direction, Guidance, Insight, Read Magic.


    ...Even it didn''t give a brief explanation of the skill huh. But hey, at least it GAVE me a warning.


    Then again, I only had a general idea about what those skills were about. After giving it some thought and struggling in the mind for about an hour. I set my determination and chose it by the name: Detect Poison just in case I found a water source or some strange edible fruit, Direction and Guidance, I chose them hoping one of them could lead me to the exit, and between Insight or Detect Magic, I chose Insight, well.. just hoping it would give an insight for my current situation.


    After I had chosen the skill, I could see the skill description. Moreover, I suddenly knew how to use the skill, the incantation, the chanting, and the tone.


    -Detect Poison: Detect whether a creature, object, or area has been poisoned or is poisonous. You can determine the exact type of poison used but the spell instantly ended. Duration: 1 minute. Range: 10 meters radius. Cost: 6.


    -Direction: Instantly know the direction of north from your current position. Duration 10 minutes. Cost: 5.


    -Guidance: Allow your mind to guide your attacks. Duration: 1 minute. Cost: 8.


    -Insight: Gain a general idea of the target''s combat capabilities as compared to your own. Duration 1 minute. Cost: 2.


    I fell silent... everything except Detect Poison was a big disappointment, maybe I would get a better version on level two.


    "Huh?"


    Unlike before, when I touched the Divination it didn''t rise to level two, and my skill points weren''t reduced either. I didn''t know the exact reason but my guesses it was because I still level one so I couldn''t get a skill higher than level one, or I needed two skill points to raise it into level two.


    Then what should I get next? it was between defensive or mobility... but, wouldn''t it better if I had some way to protect myself?


    Sigh, there were too many options, and I could only pick one.


    "Let''s see..."


    I rested my chin on my left hand and using my right finger to scribble on the ground, but the lack of information was monstrous, no matter how much I gave it a thought, the other options seemed to be a better deal.


    And once I decided to take the last option, my finger would stop, and I would scribble again, changing the options and the process was repeating endlessly. Before I realized, the sky had turned orange, and the temperature was dropping.


    Well, maybe I was thinking too much. This time, considering the darkness of the night, maybe it would be better if I had a method to defend myself.


    And so I opened my screen and touched the Unarmed from combat, considering I didn''t bring any weapon or couldn''t find any weapon, and this time, my health and stamina raised by 3.

    "Congratulations! You have learned Unarmed Combat Lvl 1, please choose two from the following effects. Warning, once you choose the effects it can''t be undone."


    Double Punch/kick, Palm Strike, Hand/Leg Knife, Flying Kick and Sonic Fist.


    After some consideration, I chose Flying Kick, Sidenote, I chose flying kick because it was the coolest sounding name compared to the others.


    Next, I chose the a standard Double Punch/Kick.


    -Flying Kick: Flies across and connects a kick to the target. Damage: +8. Cost: 16 Stamina.


    -Double Punch/Kick: Use your trained fist/leg to attack an enemy in quick succession. Damage: +2 each. Cost: 4 Stamina.


    Unlike with magic, this time I suddenly knew how to fight.


    "Interesting." My lips curled into a smile when I received this weird feeling, it felt like I had been trained for a whole year by a Shaolin monk.


    After taking a deep breath, I started doing a vertical kick straight into the air, followed by a roundhouse kick, an uppercut, all of this happened accompanied by the weird sound effect that came from my mouth.


    "Then... let''s do this."


    I took a deep breath and I could feel my body became warmer, and slowly the warmness went into my legs. It was at this moment that I knew I should''ve jumped.


    And so I jumped forward and let my body did the rest, posing as the masked rider with his trademark kick.


    "Damn, this is cool!!" I shouted a second after my feet reached the ground. I looked back and noticed I was jumping for around ten meters no... maybe fifteen meters and all of this happened without me using any running momentum.


    But, following this incident, my body suddenly felt weak, my knees were shaking and my face was meeting the ground.


    "Status screen." I said and it seemed my guess was right. I frowned when I saw my stamina had been reduced to 3.


    But what about the food? I thought. Then again, I barely able to lift my finger,  it seemed like I would spend the night without eating or drinking anything. Though I heard a human body could survive for three days without a water, so I guessed tonight was okay?

 Chapter 2

    The first night was an okay one, I did feel hungry but most likely it was because I was bored. It was a very hard temptation to not using my phone either than using it as the flashlight. God... I really wanted to hear some music, even watching youtube commercial was an okay entertainment.


    I started the second day by using Direction, speaking the gibberish words for a few seconds, and an arrow appeared right under my feet, pointing toward the north. I wasn''t sure what I supposed to do or which way I should go, so I just following the arrow, walking to the north.


    Thankfully nothing happened, and what I meant by that I didn''t meet any monster or human. This made me wondered, maybe... just maybe I was already dead? and this place was the purgatory or something similar?


    With that mindset, the second day ended with my stomach making too many noises, enough to keep my eyes wide opened the whole night. Not to mention, my phone finally died.


    And three days had passed.


    "So hot!!! Last night weather is that damn cold!!! yes, I knew it, there must be a leak from hell!!!"


    I had been walking for so long, and yet I couldn''t find any sign of living things, except the first day tentacles!!


    It was all savanna, grass, sand, dirt, a sky without a single cloud, and the blazing sun ray.


    I wondered what happened to the other people in the cafe.


    Were my parent searching for me? I hoped Tsukiko didn''t check the forbidden folder on my pc.


    And I hadn''t met anyone for three days, forgot about food, right now I really wanted to see something alive, except the tentacles.


    "Don''t tell me?!"


    The sudden realization made me jolted, my leg suddenly went weak, either because of the realization or because of the hunger, anyway I let the gravity to do its work, pushing me into the ground.


    "Do I need to kill that tentacle to get out?!"


    I shivered just as I remembered the number of its tentacles, not to mention the length. No matter what, it was an impossible task.


    "Sigh, I guess I need to do some kind of levelling huh." I said with a rumbling stomach as the background music.


    But before I could do some levelling I needed to fill my stomach, not to mention my body odour, my throat was sore, and the last time I peed it turned into dark yellow.


    With a deep long sigh, I laid on my back, clenching on the grass, pulling it up and curiously looking at it, wondering whether or not it was an edible grass.


    "...Detect Poison."     With complicated face, I kept repeating to myself that human was omnivorous, it should be fine, nothing would go wrong.


    Sitting up, full of hesitation I opened my mouth and slowly putting the grass.


    But just an inch before it entered my mouth, I heard a rustling sound coming from the grasses behind me.


    I turned my head, the rustling was small, so I guessed this wasn''t a big animal.


    I sat up and clenching my fist, preparing myself. Just as I started concentrating, I faintly heard the popping sound, no more like a splashing sound, a squishy one.


    And then from under the grasses, a small, round, blue jelly-like transparent monster bouncing out.


    It didn''t take long for me to realize that it was a slime.


    I stared into those black eyes and mouth that looked like a car sticker, and the slime was curiously looking at me with a big cheerful smile on its mouth.


    I didn''t really know what the slime was thinking beneath its cheerful smile, but I did know what I thought about right now. I knew there was no other way, and truthfully I didn''t want to do it but...


    Slime > Jelly > Blue jelly. Blue > water > drink. Yeah, that must be it. The equation was crystal clear. It was perfect!!


    "Detect Poison!"


    Yep, nothing unusual either.


    With shining eyes, I hopped into the slime, hugging it, clenching its body as it was trying to break away.


    Drolls fell from my dry mouth, and I could see the tears fell from the slime''s eyes.


    A dozen seconds later, with a satisfying smile, I threw away the slime outer skin.


    "Ah! that''s refreshing!" Surprisingly, not only that the water on its body was cold, there was no weird smell, shame it didn''t have any taste.


    With this discovery, seemed like the water problem would be fine as long as I kept hunting the slime.


    Then again, was this slime a stray one? or there was a camp of slime near here?


    I stood up, rocking my head, squinting my eyes, circling around, searching for another sign of slime. Thirty minutes later I found their camp, with a dozen different coloured slimes happily bouncing around, completely unaware of my presence.


    Having decided to capture some of the slimes before I continued my way. I chose my sleeping spot exactly 100 steps away from the slime camp.


    Laying back, the sun was still high, and my stomach was rumbling like crazy, but somehow I managed to fell asleep.


    Thump...


    "Hm?"


    When I awoke because of the sudden jolt, the sky had just shifted its colour into a blazing orange.


    Rubbing my eyes, sitting up. I casually yawned and stretched my body, until I realized all of the grass was shaking wildly. At first, I didn''t move a single muscle, my brains unable to make sense of the input from my ears and feet. The ground was moving and the noise was like an extended thunder only worse because the vibrations were coming from below.


    Then like a switch had been flicked the slimes bounced away for safety, all of them on the autopilot mode rushing toward my direction with tears flowing out from their eyes.


    I lazily scratched my head while looking to the slimes, thinking maybe it was normal for an animal, monster or not to be panicked when an earthquake happened.


    But right they no we were in the middle of the savanna, there was no danger of the rubbles nor explosion.


    Though, what a bad luck. And here I thought I should waiting for tomorrow to capture the slimes, but it seemed like they already ran away.


    THUMP!


    I meant, I knew the earthquake was a scary phenomenon but did the slimes really need to cry?


    THUMPP!!


    "But damn, it still continuing huh, I guess this''s what they called the second wave."


    "GROAAAAR!!!!" Groar was the sound that the otherworld earthquake created.


    ....


    "Groar?" I muttered the roaring sound as I tilted my head, wondering about what the hell was the roaring sound I''d just heard while felling the vibration was coming closer.


    With a sudden realization, I twitched my eyes and slowly looked behind back.  Less then twenty meters away from me, ran a barbaric primitive looking humanoid, it wore a ragged wooden club and tattered leather armour in sullen colours. It had coarse body hair and a big posture like twice of my size but it had a greyish-green skin tone and pig looking facial features. It had burning red eyes peered below a low, sloping brow, just above its flattened nose, and prominent tusk-like teeth.


    "Ha?!" I made a dumbfounded voice when I realized it was running in my direction.

 Chapter 3

    It... let''s just say it was an orc. The orc''s charge was both violent and unpredictable, I swallowed my saliva when I saw the creature club shattered the ground.


    Truthfully, I barely able to avoid its first charge, if I wasn''t used Flying Kick to run away, I was one hundred percent sure I would become a meat pulp.


    Afraid? Of course, I was afraid! I was super scared! My arms and legs were trembling, my teeth gave the weird gritting sound, my breath became very rushed, and I seemed to pant more exaggeratedly than the orc''s nasal breath. I wished to turn tail and run away immediately! but considering its charging speed clearly that wasn''t a good idea.


    Even so, the orc was glaring at me, seemingly more unhappy than before. It gave a roar and once again charged at me using all of its strength.


    But unlike before, this time I managed to buy a little distance and I was prepared. This time rather than using Flying Kick I just ran with my wobbling legs, hoping the crazy swings from its club wouldn''t reach me or it would suddenly change its direction.


    Perhaps because of its bulky body, or because it was charging with all of its might, once the orc charged forward it couldn''t change its direction.


    And my theory was proven right as I repeatedly avoiding the orc''s attacks, distanced myself and then watching the orc ran straight for another few meters before it completely stopped its path and continued to charge me.


    But why was it attacking me? Maybe because I was entering its territory? but so did the slimes.


    Well, I could see some of the slime''s lifeless bodies were sticking on the orc''s body, so I guessed they also had their own share of misfortune.


    Lost in my own thought, once again I almost got overrun by the orc but somehow I managed to give a counter hit into the orc''s shoulder as I was avoiding him.


    Not without a cost though. Even though I was the one that hit it, my right hand went numb. On the other side, the orc''s right shoulder was falling asleep, dropping off its table sized wooden club.


    "Hm?"


    I might be crazy, but the way I saw the orc right now, its eyes widened, its breath ragged and harsh. I noticed its left arm was trembling at its side, its right arm was loosely hung and the orc stopped charging toward me. It almost felt like the orc was... afraid?


    Well, it seemed I wasn''t the only one with shaky hands and legs, weren''t I?


    ....


    Wait a minute.


    Did my punch just completely broke its right arm?! Don''t tell me the orc was weak?!


    With the sudden realization, I didn''t know whether or not that was true, but I gained some confidence, just enough to stop my trembling limbs.


    But what should I do next? I wasn''t that confident enough to completely charged and attacked the orc face to face. Sure my punch could break its arm, but the orc also could shatter the ground.Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

    "Insight."


    After I cast it, I could see the purple-ish aura covering the orc''s body.But... what was the purple aura meant?! and here I thought insight would let me saw the target''s status.


    But just a second I turned my attention away, the orc was turning its body and running away, cradling its right arm while its feet were stomping against the ground, sunken it in with each step sit took.


    Huh... I guessed all was well. Though just to make sure and for the future references, I ran, collecting as many momentum as I could, and then I jumped with my right leg, lifted my left one and thrusting it forward.


    As my left foot making a contact with its back, I could hear the sound of something was breaking, my left foot was sinking into its body, the orc shrilled before it dropped down.


    "Gah... disgusting," I grumbled as I pulled my left foot out, completely covered in the green liquid.


    Funny enough, even though I did not have any major injury, but I didn¡¯t know why I was tired.


    And then my stomach growled, I squirmed in the ground to try to silence the rumbling. I glanced at the orc corpse, right now I couldn''t look at an animal or plant or even a monster and not wonder if it was edible.I didn''t care if it was tasty or disgusting, I just hoped that it could stave off the pains a while.


    My eyes glazed over as I imagined the sandwich with an orc meat. I was salivating at the thought of it. My stomach rumbled again, and I tried to cover it with my hand but the rumbled was loud, louder than the orc''s roar.


    I wanted to use the poison detect to check whether or not the meat was poisonous, but my magic was running low.


    Then, once again my stomach snarled and howled and from it came the not-so-subtle undertone of pain. It came in waves and it seemed as though my stomach was slowly digesting itself. I clutched at it, but it cried even louder. It was a slow pain, eating away at my stomach and leaving me feeling drained and empty.


    I just didn''t care anymore, I crawled my way to the stinky corpse and widened my mouth, biting the orc''s tough thigh, not caring if it would kill me, only that I vomited just when I started chewing the meat.


    The smell... the smell was foul, hideous, sickening. I never ate wet socks or the rotten egg, but I knew the orc meat was tasted like those two, with a little spice of skunk fart.


    I regretted my decision, very regretted it. Heck, I rather starved to death rather than putting that meat onto my mouth.


    The good part, right now I completely forgot about the hunger, as I was trying to find a way to wash away the foul taste and the greenish liquid from my mouth.


    I looked back to the orc in front of me, its body was full of muscles with arms and legs almost as big as my shoulder width, indeed if I looked carefully the orc appearance was a scary one, but... rather than being afraid, I was remembering the disgusting unexplainable taste.


    I just couldn''t bear anothersecond of my life seeing this orc.


    Slowly, I gathered my will and started standing, walking away as far as I could until I couldn''t see the orc corpse; completely ignoring my supposedly north destination.


    I spent the rest of the night cursing at my decision.


    On the fourth day, with 13 out of 19 magic power, I started the day as the usual, usingDirection and faithfully walked to the north, and seemed like the monsters variety that I met was increasing.


    Yesterday it was only the tentacles, the slimes, and the orc. But right now I could see the slimes plus a bird-like monsterand a herd of normal looking goats.


    But my first priority was chasing after the slime, drinking their body to wash the lingering disgusting taste from my mouth.


    And maybe because I was hungry or what, I was having a very hard time to capture the slimes. Most of the slime that I managed to catch or grab was destroyed, splashing the blue watery liquid into the ground.


    From fifteen tries, I only managed to capture three, I instantly gulped the first two slimes that I managed to capture, and used the last one as a water source to clean and wash my body.


    Now, this time I was taking my shirts, planning to use it as an emergency bag to contain the slimes. And as I strolled around, I found another two slimes, I failed to capture the first one and unintentionally destroying it, for the second one, I accidentally stepped on it.


    Following the second slime demise, a trumpet and chimney music rang in my ears. Followed by the familiar god-like voice.


    "Congratulations! You levelled up!"

 Chapter 4

    I opened the status screen and once again staring at it.


    Tsukasa Tsutsukakushi.


    Level 2.


    Skill point: 2.


    Health(regen per day): 33(8)


    Magic(regen per day): 24(16)


    Stamina(regen per hour): 42(8)


    I rubbed my chin, seemed like everything was raised by 5, and the regeneration raised by 3. Another thing that I noticed was that my magic and stamina had been restored into its maximum value, didn''t know about health though.


    Anyhow, I had a slight idea of what I should do on the skills.


    First, considering I didn''t know for how long I would stick in this place, focusing on magic might be not a good idea. Indeed, as far as my experience went, even the most disappointing magic like direction was very useful in the right circumstance, the problem was the limited amount of magic I could use in a day.


    Second, but at the same time, I needed a fire either as a light source or a heat source. If my gaming experience and knowledge were right, it was the right job for the evocation or the transmutation. Then again, I didn''t want to invest in a skill I wouldn''t use.


    Anyway, as the starters with a face full of hesitation, I put the skill points into the transmutation.

    The number of the available made me wanted to cry, I counted there were 49 skills, and I could only pick 4?! not to mention I should do this without knowing any of their effects.


    Anyhow, from the name of the skills such as claws,mold earth,blade of grass orgust, it seemed the transmutation skills was focusing on controlling, and changing properties or shape of the existing object.


    This time I sat down, thinking very seriously about the skill that I should take, I meant from the 49 skills, one of those skills must be useful to create a fire... but no, the most fire-ish spell wasControl flame,


    "A bad luck huh... well whatever. Ah, this one seems interesting."


    -Abracadabra: Create a minor magical trick. Cost: 1 Magic. Range: 10 meters.


    -Butcher:A corpse you touch is taken apart into its component parts. Cost: 5 Magic.


    -Launch: Touch up to 3 objects weighted less than one kilogram and launch them toward your target. Damage: +1. Cost: 3 for each object.


    -Mending: Repairs a single break or tear in an object you touch. Cost: 10 Magic.


    Alongside this, my Magic and its regeneration raised by 3.


    And surprisingly, even though I only took the skill with its name as the basic assumption, everything except launch was a jackpot, at first I thought launch would launch myself, kinda like a boost to my jump power but the end result was something that totally different, it wasn''t that bad, but I just couldn''t find any use for it.


    Most likely because I didn''t know how the damage system worked. I meant, just how much a +1 damage was? If I launched one into the target head, one into the target heart and one into the target shoulder, would they receive the same damage?

    Back to the skill,Mendingname was kinda self-explained, Butcher was a misclick though I kinda hoping it was an attacking skill butButcher skill description wasn''t that bad either, in fact, I would say it was an okay one.


    And the real jackpot was Abracadabra, even though I only picked it because it had a unique name, compared to the others, that would mean this was a good one, right?. And indeed, it was a very versatile skill, if I snapped my finger I could burn any burnable object, the fire wasn''t that big, but I could use the grass and several other things to feed the fire. If I clapped my hand I could clean or soil any object with a volume less than 1 meter. And there were several other functions, even though none of them could be used for a battle, but for survival and out of a battle activityAbracadabrawas the MVP.


    Next, I tried to raise unarmed combat but nothing happened. So it seemed the requirementwas two skill points to raise it into level 2, and three skill point for level 3.


    Well, I have an alternative plan though. Learning from the last encounter, I guessed it would be best if I didn''t receive any kind of damage.

    I strolled around, curiously looking around until I found the meat that was eating on the outer circle, a little bit separated from the other meats.


    With a deep breath, I walked to the lonely meat. It nonchalantly ignored me and kept munching on the grass.


    Then, there was a blood on my knuckles and bruise on the goat''s head, and with another punch this time I got what I wanted.


    So I needed two punches to destroy the goat skull but I only needed one to broke the orc muscular arm?!


    Now I was very curious about the rule of this world. Though, as I was blankly staring at my bloodied fist, the herd behind me started bleating around, thrashing on the ground.


    Under the swirling brown blur of the dust, I didn''t know what I had to do. Unlike that time, when I was fighting the orc I only needed to see and concentrate at one target, but this time I was overwhelmed by the sheer number as I foolishly stood and watched the other goats running away.


    A few seconds had passed and I still petrified. No, it wasn''t a fear, this time my limbs and body weren''t shaking, maybe it was confusion. I completely dumbfounded as I had no idea of what I should do. Should I run away? or should I chase after them? Then which one? The one with the smallest horn? The nearest one? The smallest one?


    As I watched the storm of dust slowly dissipated, I was biting my lips when I realized the difference between fighting against the hordes of enemy and fighting against a single enemy.


    Indeed the goat wasn''t a hostile one, all they ever did was running away from me, but what if they ran at my direction? that was most definitely a bad ending; getting stomped to death by a herd of goats.


    I should''ve made a better plan for the next time I met the goats though, who knew... maybe next time they would decide to fight back rather than running away.


    Then again, it was a matter for another time. Me hungry, me brain couldn''t think.


    I walked to the goat corpse and usedButcher.


    For several minutes after I used Butcher, Hair was left the goat''s skin, and the skin was stretched into a rectangular shape and folded. Then the meat was flying out, removing itself from the bones. The bones were completely clean and automatically arranged itself. The organswere removed and neatly arranged. The blood was floating around, circling for a few seconds before it drained into the ground, though I could see a small amount of blood dripping out from the meat. And it seemed like any part of the creature that was too rotten or to bad to use was rapidly decomposed into dirt.


    Then I started collecting some grasses and used the bones as the base to make a simple bonfire.


    "Abracadabra." I said at the same time as I flicked my finger, and a small fire lighted out.


    Blowing the fire to make it big, using another straw of grasses as the fuel. And it didn''t take long before the fire was burning consistently.


    Next, I broke the smaller bone and using it as the skewer for the meat.


    And as I was clumsily roasting the meat then eating some then roasting it again then eating some again.


    Until from behind my back, I heard another rustling sound. It was lighter than an orc, and I didn''t hear any stomping either. Maybe it was a big slime? What a perfect timing, I really wanted to drink something right now.


    But when I turned my head, my lips curled up into a big grin.


    Indeed, it wasn''t a slime, rather it was a human!!! And from her clothes alone I could tell she was an earthling, or maybe the people in this world was having the same fashion sense like us. But... there was one thing that bothered me though.


    "Is... is that a food? Do...you understand me? Can you share some?" She said with a familiar language without looking at me.

 Chapter 5

    She wore a white shirt covered with a dust and dirt. A dark green striped tie loosely hung below her neck, awkwardly falling in the middle of her bosom; her skirt had the same colour and pattern as her tie. On her waist, she tightly tied a greyish silver jacket and doubling it down with her dark grey blazer.


    Her hair was as red as a wine, softly dispersing the light of the sun, making it turned darker; each strand from her shoulder lengthed hair moving hinderingly in a jungle of convoluted hair. With eyes of a blue ocean under the stormy day, covered with a fog. From the way she sat she kinda gave an adultery, calm and polite aura, but the way she munched the meat using both of her slender, dirty fingers was barbaric. The meat juice and oil were sticking on her dry crackling lips, some of the juice was dripping into her shirts, and a small piece of the meat was clinging into her white, pale white cheek.


    I silently watched her finished her food, completely stoned by the way she ate it. Though... I guessed that was normal, considering I could only see bones wrapped in a skin, there was no way she would care about the table manner.


    Just a second before she finished her meal, I raised another meat skewer. "Can...can I have another?" She asked with the same sentence, same intonation, same juncture, and same hoarse voice.


    Words left my mouth as I turned my eyes to her right side. A mountain of bones, completely clean as it was being washed by a washing machine.


    Though, as I walked and handing her another meat skewer. Her hands were floating, searching for the skewered meat.


    Yeah, she was blind. I should''ve known when I saw her foldable aluminium walking cane.


    I did have a concern about this, but that wasn''t my biggest concern. As I directing the food toward her hands I frowned when I saw her feet.


    Yes, my biggest concern was her shoes, it was an indoor canvas shoe.


    I''d gotten transported into this place when I was working my part-time job, somewhere around six pm. But considering her apparel, was she got transported when she was at her school?


    I wanted to ask that, but as I said, words left my mouth whenever I saw her gulping the meat.


    After finishing the meat, she asked again, and again, and again. Damn girl... it wasn''t like I didn''t want to give her the food, more likely I was amazed by the fact that both of us, two people, already eating more than half of the goat meat.


    But I guessed this was a better choice, considering I didn''t have any way to preserve the meat.


    Anyhow, we spent most of our initial interaction by silently munching the food. And after I heard a small burp coming out from her cracked lips.


    She was opening her mouth but this time I couldn''t hear her saying a word.


    "Ah... wait a moment."


    I left her and began searching for the slimes, a few minutes later I walked back, using my shirt as a bag to contain the slimes, five slimes to be precise. Though, I had a feeling that these weren''t enough.


    I took one slime, the smallest one, putting it on top of her palm and explaining how to drink from the slimes.


    Much to my surprise,she casually did that without a slight moment of hesitation. She was biting the slime from the top, ripping its outer skin, and she sucked the water out of the slime''s body.


    Maybe because she realized it was a legal water and not some kind of weird substance, she raised the slime and gluttonously filling her mouth with the water, spilling most of the water from the corner of her mouth, letting it drenching her face and her clothes.


    After three slimes dried down, she finally managed to get some of her voice.


    "Thank you... ah, I haven''t introduced myself, am I? Sorry, how rude of me. My name is Natsuna Natsume." She stopped for a while to clear her throat. "*Ahem* thanks for your kindness, mister...?"


    "Oh, Tsukasa Tsutsukakushi." I nodded even though I knew she wouldn''t notice this.


    But sitting in front of me, she tilted her head, while trying to repeat and say my name.


    "Just call me Tsukasa." I said, considering most of my friends were having a hard time to call that.


    "Then, feel free to call me Natsuna." She said in a low, calm, hoarse voice.


    And then there was an awkward silence, the awkwardness made my blood went numb. I tried to open my mouth, but..


    "So... / May I ask a question?"


    My timing was bad. We spoke at the same time, making it more awkward than before. And we were spending most of the times excusing the other to speak first, rather than did an actual talk.


    And just when I about to give up, and asking the question.


    "So.../ Then, Tsukasa."


    "What? / Please go first."


    And another cycle of throwing the permission started again. Was talking with a girl always this hard?! I didn''t know why but I feel stressed about my current condition, it was just... it was weird to talk to someone when their eyes were watching into the distance, yes...     "Hm~ do you feel more comfortable if I close my eyes?" Natsuna said as she was closing her eyelids and curling a warm, meaningful smile on her mouth.


    Damn, how did you notice?! No... that wasn''t important, the most important part I somehow felt I just did something rude, no... I did do something rude... maybe? argh... I had this sudden urge to grab my head and hide away from her face.


    I Inwardly sighed. "Sorry... It''s fine, just do whatever you''re comfortable with."


    "Hm~ then please excuse me." She said as she slowly opened her eyes, showing off the foggy blue pupil for a second before she closed it again. "Hm~ please pardon me, somehow my eye-lids feels heavy."


    She was trying to be considerate, right?


    "Then please let me ask my question first, back then... what you mean by slime is a ''slime'' slime? you know... the ''slime''?" I could see she was trying to hide the doubtful expression on her face when she asked that.


    But from the way she asked that, it seemed she hadn''t met any monster. Anyhow I replied with a yep, and then she asked me another question.


    "Where are we?"


    "Dunno, but I''m sure this isn''t earth."


    "I see, that''s kinda explaining what happened." She muttered. "Then, do you mind to explain everything to me?"


    Once again, I stupidly nodded and I briefly explained about how I get here, my current condition, the status screen, the skill point, the monster I''d met.


    Then again, Natsuna was a good listener. No matter how simple or absurd the content of my explanation, she only nodded while giving me this ''I believe you'' look.


    Anyhow, there was one thing that made me wondered though. I urged Natsuna to open her status screen, and she faithfully followed my word.


    "Status screen." Natsuna said as her hoarse voice slowly turned normal. "Does it appeared?" She tilted her head and continued her question.


    I see, even though she had a status screen she couldn''t see it. "Yes." I replied to her.


    "Hm~" She muttered as she tilted her head. "Tsukasa~ I never played a game, so may I bother you for a moment?"


    I nodded, waiting for her confirmation... until I realized what I just did. "It''s okay, I don''t mind." I said and saw a glad expression coming from Natsuna''s face.


    "But it isn''t like what I know is true either. So don''t believe everything I said." I continued.


    And then the brainstorming process started. She kinda asking everything she could get from my previous explanation,from the most basic question such as "What''s Health? What''s Summoning?" to the "How does the regeneration work? Can I grow my limb? How long one stamina point could last? If I raise my vision can I see?"


    Yeah, I also wondered about that... anyhow after spending some amount of time, I told her I didn''t know anything about the more detailed question


    And just when I thought she already made up her mind.


    "Tsukasa~ may I ask for another favour?" Natsuna said with a calm voice.


    And my eyes widened when I heard her favour.


    After clearing the bone, I was sitting on her right side, holding her small smooth hand, helping her with the direction and telling her the skills that appeared on her screen.


    Shouldn''t she more or less have some guard against me? We practically didn''t have any distance or personal space right now. I meant, hello? I could smell your body odour right now, it wasn''t the most fragrant one... but it still had this womanly smell lingering on it.


    Wait, wait, wait... since when I have a smell fetish?!


    "Am I making you uncomfortable?" Natsuna turned her head and facing my face, seemingly noticed I was acting weird.


    I could feel her blowing her warm breath into my skin and I knew my face was lobster red. "...it''s fine." I said while trying to keep my calm.

    Anyway, thanks to her seemed like summoning was focused on... summoning, I wondered whether or not we could eat the animal from the summoning magic.


    Next Natsuna took the Divination, it seemed Guidancereally piqued her interest. Then again, I never used it but from the description,it was true that we didn''t need to use our eyes.


    Divination

    Truthfully I prefer if she took another skill, the one that I hadn''t taken with. Not only it opened a new information, but it could also act as future references.


    Then again, it was her decision and her skill point. Moreover, a few metres away from my position, Natsuna was experimenting with her new found skill, and when I watched her usingDetect Magic her lips curled into a smile, a big blinding radiating smile.


    I didn''t know what she saw or felt or sensed, but whatever that was; seeing her expression, I was also infected with her happiness and smiled.

    Twenty minutes later.


    My Q&A session with Natsuna was completed. And there were several pieces of information that I managed to gain.


    First, we never hoped for being transported into another world, we weren''t a long lost child one friends that made a promise to met each other. She didn''t play any game. We never went or hang out in the same spot. We didn''t have any tragic backstory; both of our parents still alive and kicking, I had two little sisters, she had one big sister and one big brother, and all of them still alive. As far as we knew, both of our parents weren''t working in some kind of shady society or joining a cult. In fact, our life was a normal and boring, student life.


    Then second, just like me, she got transported into this world four days ago, she was sure as she counted the number of times she felt the coldness of the night and the hotness of the sun. In her case, she was sitting in her class, studying as her usual day when she suddenly sank into the ground and the next that she felt was the grassy texture.


    Presumably, I was arriving a few hours after her. At least I knew we weren''t dead, so there might be a chance to get back.


    But a high school girl suddenly disappeared in the middle of her class. Yep, that was 100% a big news, I wondered why I hadn''t heard any of that news.


    Leaving that aside, second. She said she was aimlessly walking forward until the hunger was eating her stomach from the inside. Just before she wanted to give up, she smelled my roasted goat meat, and that was how she got here.


    Though the important most important point from her story, she walked forward and I was facing the east when she arrived behind my back.


    That meant she came from the west. With a side note, if she truly walked forward without messing her direction. But I would just assume she did it right.


    And she hadn''t met any monsters, or hearing or noticing something like a monster on her way.


    That meant the monster population on the west was small or zero > small population of monster meant a safe place > a safe place meant there must be some kind of a human settlement.


    And if that was wrong, that meant we were in some kind of a dungeon and the only way to leave was the entrance, the last floor, or defeating the boss.


    Then which one was the boss? That tentacles thingy? If it was the boss, well we were doomed. I was aimlessly running away, not to mention the amount of time I took to circle and searched the slime camp.


    Well, at the very least I knew it was on the south.


    Anyway, the goatherd was running to the east, if we went to the west and if there was no monster on the west, who knew just how many...


    Wait a minute...


    If there was no monster on the west, then why did the goat run to the east? I meant that might be because I stood on the west, but would they risk their own life just so they could run away from me?


    Then again, they were a friggin goat, maybe they''d just wildly running away.


    As a side note, there might be some kind of semi-boss of the boss itself on the west. If that was the case, Natsuna must be a very lucky one.


    Or there was no single monster on the west. But then, if that was the case, shouldn''t I went south? The more I went to the north the merrier the monster was, so the danger level was raised, right?

    The more I thought about this, the more I wanted to rip my hair out. I absolutely clueless about what I was doing, on the other hand, just when I thought Natsuna had a better understanding of our current situation, she expected the same from me.

    Yes, I did it once when I was in the middle school, yup,on the sports festival but this probably wasn''t the time to do a nostalgia.


    Anyhow, I took a deep long breath, breathing in, breathing out.

    Now I should calm down and arrange my thoughts again.


    Five seconds later I already gave up. I lay on my back, grunting while watching the sky. My poor brain just couldn''t take any complicated thought anymore.


    This time, I turned around, using my head as a pillow and silently watched Natsuna petting her prodigious beast.


    The supposedly ''dog'' stood almost reached one meter, and it was easily twice as long from snout to snub tail. Its blood-red eyes locked onto me as its muscular body relaxingly resting on her lap and enjoyingher rub.


    Well... I knew a big and strong dog would be reliable as the bodyguard, but why didn''t you chose a cuter or fluffier one? like Tibetan mastiff or that dog that looked like a mop.


    By the way, I didn''t know why but I suddenly remembered she was here a few hours longer than me.


    "...Natsuna." While I was calling her, the dog did a deep-throated rumbling growl, announced its presence.


    She turned her head, with a straight back she directed her face toward me, completely unaware that I was laying on the ground. "Yes? Do you need something?" She said.


    "Do you want to take a bath?"


    I still had one unused slime, completely trapped in my white shirt, and considering she was coveredin sweat and mud, while sometimes using the dirt filled finger to scratched her neck and her back, I guessed she might be wanted to take one.


    But she only sniffed her own body, with a dropped head she wryly smiled.


    "Sorry... I must be smell really bad, right?" She said. "Can you hold on? if Tsukasa wants, maybe I can move a few meters away until you can''t smell me."


    "...What the hell with that optimism?" I said to her while trying to hold my laughter. "Anyway, we still have one slime left, if you want you can use it to clean up. The water is insanely cold though."


    Though, much to my surprise, she seemed hesitant. I thought she would be glad to accept my offer, but she only gave me this bitter smile.


    Well, I guessed that was normal. The water was icy cold, I guessed she just didn''t want to fall sick.


    ....


    "Ah!" I shouted when I realized what I just offer to her, yes... basically a stranger she just met for a few hours casually offering her to take her clothes off in the middle of nowhere. The truth was, if our positions were reversed and if I was a girl. I would probably have the same hesitation as her.


    "Erm... should I close my eyes? No... what the hell am I saying, of course, I need to close it!" I sat up as I fell into the panic mode.


    Natsuna let a small and weird chuckle flying out from her mouth.


    "Hm~ nope~ I am not bothered by that."


    "...Huh? wait a minute?! you''re okay with that?!"


    "Not until Tsukasa say it though." Natsuna said with a happy smile. "I''m more bothered by the fact that you already giving me too much."


    "Oh... is that wrong?"


    "Hm~ the way I said it sounds wrong, right?" Said Natsuna. "What I mean by that, is that I feel bad to only receive those things."


    "Nah, you don''t need to. I mean I get them for free, so why not sharing it?" I replied to her and sat up. "And it is pretty easy to catch the slime. Anyway, I''m going to capture another batch of the slimes, feel free to use that last slime."


    But somehow I felt she wouldn''t even use it either.


    "Speaking of what you said, yes you kinda stink. Just go clean your body."


    But just as I finished my word, she sniffed her own body with a vein popped out on her forehead. "Hm~" Natsuna said.


    Then I heard a low growling and chattering teeth coming from the dog''s mouth. So the dog was kinda reacted into her emotion huh, then was the dog hostile because it was her order? or the dog itself was a hostile creature?!


    Anyhow, I turned around and dashed without saying any words.


    An hour later, more or less, by the time I got back with a total capture of seven slimes, with 23 of them were killed accidentally.


    Natsuna welcomed me with a cleaned body and wet hair, however, I still could see the vein from her forehead.


    iIn the end, she gave me a long mouthful lecture about handling woman feeling. "Even though you were the one that said it first." I muttered in a low voice.


    "Hm~?" But somehow she heard me, and gave another lecture, long enough to make my ear hot and it kept going on until the sun set down.

 Chapter 7

    Fifth day.


    It was weird to sleep right next to a stranger, especially a girl. But leaving that aside, my morning started by explaining my plan to Natsuna, whether we should go north, west, east or south. Though, it was up to her to join me or not, at the very least she had a way to defend herself.


    "Hm~ then why don''t we just move diagonally?" Said Natsuna nonchalantly.


    But that was a brilliant idea, I wondered why I couldn''t think such a simple answer, maybe I was overcomplicating it. Anyhow considering the rule of Pythagoras we might take a longer time, but it reduced the chance of choosing the wrong side.


    After spending some time, doing a consultation with her. We decided it would be best to go to the northeast.


    I walked in the front, the monstrous dog was on my side, and Natsuna was walking behind me, silently grabbing my clothes. When I asked why she didn''t walk using her cane, she only answered it was faster to let me guide her.


    We walked with a burning wind swept through the savanna, crawling on our back. Even the simple wind was unpleasant and caused a warm sweat falling from our forehead. Total desolation.


    I saw many slimes, goats, rabbit withspiral horn and a tall bird, mainly of a pair of legs that merged with a round, feathery body and long skinny head.


    For our lunch I captured some of the slimes and this time I had a better control of my strength, the number of accidental slimes that I killed was 4 and I managed to capture 2. Meanwhile, seemed like her dog managed to capture one horned rabbit.


    And it seemed the dog could eat, but it wasn''t a necessity. Anyway, I usedbutcherto skin the rabbit, keeping the horn, thinking maybe I could use it as a weapon and making a small fire withabracadabra.


    Though,maybe I should keep a record of my magic usage, anyway right now I had 21 Magic while Natsuna had 28 Magic.


    We finished our lunch just slightly before the sun was high and continued our way. But after seeing so many slimes and goats, suddenly I could not detect anybreath of life with the exception of Natsuna''s heavy breathing and her dog''s naval sound. Most likely it was just that I could not tell if there really was no life, or if it was hiding somewhere. Whatever it was, it was not visible to my eye.


    Why this kind of thought only crossed my mind after the fifth day?


    Because I was watching the dog sniffing the ground, growled and barked. Even though I didn''t see anything in the dog direction.


    I squinted my eyes and I could see, in a particular spot, the grasses rustled in the wrong direction, fighting its way against the wind that wasblowing behind us.


    And then I saw round and smallto me, and my body was fast enough to react and I tilted my head to the right, avoiding the small object.


    "Ouch!" Natsuna shouted.


    Right, I forgot she stood behind me, but as much as I worried about her, right now I saw the series of tall grasses rustlingaround, creating a sound as somethings were stepping on a bunch of plastic bags.


    "Kiki!"


    A dozen of high pitched laugh rung out, were they making themselves known now because a person appeared? Or did our human smell stir up their hunger so much that they let it slipped?


    "We are surrounded, right?"


    Surprisingly, Natsuna seemed calm. No, her face might seem calm but she tightly clenched my clothes as her left hand rubbing her forehead.


    "Iddy, watch our back. Tsukasa, watch out for your right side." She said.


    A second after she said that. A small and scrawny green humanoid with wide unbalanced head and long nose, a goblin charged with a rusty knife from our right side.


    I shifted my body and did a low sweep right at its stomach, throwing its body a few meters away.


    I wanted to ask how she could notice that but...


    "Front." Said Natsuna with a calm tone.


    Believing in her word, I turned to the front and did a football kick, but the goblin in front of me was jumping with a small rusty sword.


    In an instant, I used my other foot to push my body and jump backwards, pushing Natsuna and forcing our way to the ground as I watched the goblin swing its sword.


    Even though its body was small, not even reached one metre, it could jump and swing its sword in the mid-air huh.


    Still watching the goblin, I rubbed my neck, checking if there was a wound, none. The sword was rusty, almost completely covered in a rust, even if it only grazed my neck or my body, I was sure it would be a fatal one.


    Then I shuddered as I suddenly imagined what would happen if I leapt to the side or Natsuna wasn''t telling me the danger.

    With a strange warm feeling, I immediately stood and dashed into the goblin that jumped to me. And thanks toGuidanceI kinda had this weird abstract feeling telling me where to attack and I sunken its long nose with another kick.


    Once again the goblin body was flying away for a few metres, its hands were letting its rusty sword in the process.


    But I couldn''t one shot the goblin as it staggeringly stood, holding down its broken nose while glaring at me.

    "Tsukasa! Your left." Natsuna spoke.


    This time, before I turned my body I had a feeling I must do a punch rather than a kick. And I was right, just as I turned my body, I had this vague idea of where I should strike and at what timing.


    "My left." Said Natsuna.


    I turned my body, watching her dog, Iddy wasbiting another goblin, not the one on her left side. But I somewhat believed at her word, maybe it was her sixth sense or she used her skill, anyway I ran but the goblin already leaping out from the grasses, directing its almost naked body to Natsuna.


    UsingFlying Kick, I jumped low andmy foot was snapping the goblin neck, bending it into a weird direction. This time it was a one hit ko.


    Now I stood back on her side. Faithfully I followed each one of her direction. punching and kicking the goblins as I heard her dog, Iddy fought on our back.


    After a ten or more goblin that I killed in roughly two minutes, I heard a bell."Congratulations! You levelled up!"


    Heh, what a coincidence, considering I didn''t have any Magic left to castGuidance.


    With the refreshment bonus, I castGuidanceandInsight. The goblin had this kind of grey-ish aura, well... I guessed I should consider grey was something weaker than a purple.


    And after another five or more goblins. I saw what left of the goblin, stopped charging at us.


    "Kiii!!"


    One goblin screeched and it and the rest of the goblins were running away.


    It seemed the battle was over huh. And I didn''t have a reason to chase after them and putting myself in a danger either.


    "Tsukasa, are you okay?" Said Natsuna.


    Me before her huh. Even though a blood was dripping from her left forehead.


    But to my surprise, she really wasn''t moving away from her current position, heck... she even still sat on the ground.


    "Yeah, I''m completely fine, you?" I said as I squatted down, wanting to act romantic and wipe the blood on her forehead just like in the movie, but considering my hands were covered with the goblin greenish blood, no... I could useabracadabrato clean her forehead, but it wasn''t like she couldn''t wipe that by herself too, right?


    She turned her face and simply nodded.


    "Anyway... I levelled up, so... should I get a blessing magic?"


    Since there wasn''t a healing category, I just assumed blessing should have a healing magic but she shook her head as she wiped the wound while making a grunting sound and biting her lips.


    "It''s okay. This is only a small wound." She said.


    I... I kinda relieved when she said that. Truthfully, this wasn''t an emergency and I didn''t want to waste a skill point in something that I didn''t need... maybe that was the reason I asked for her confirmation, but damn... I''d just realized that I had this egoistic side from me.


    Then again, even though she tried to make a poker face, I noticed she had this kind of sour expression.


    Still... she did worry about me first.


    I let out a very big long sigh, I didn''t know why I did that.


    Anyhow, healing was indeed a useful one, and I might be neededit a later time.

    Just as I finished choosing the spell, I checked my status and my Magic regeneration went up by 1 while my Magic went up by 5. Then I called Natsuna.


    "Hm~ Even though I told you not to do that." She said.


    I clapped my hands while sayingabracadabraand cleaning the blood from my hand and her forehead.


    "Did you? I only remember you said it is a small wound." I said as my hand gently touched the wound on her forehead, transferring the golden-ish aura and slowly closing the wound and bruises on her head.


    "Hm~ I guess so." She replied with closed eyes and a smiling face. "Hm~ this feels pretty good."


    Did it? Her warm and satisfied expression kinda made me wanted to use it on myself. Then again, I didn''t have any wound or injury.


    Anyway, before I did this I asked her toopen her status and I checked her lost health, and it was 2. It was a little bit unbalanced, right? Considering she had 18, and one small stone in her head dealt 2. Speaking of which, I didn''t hear her used or said a skill but her Magic was reduced by 10.


    I meant, if the number was correct, she would die if she took 9 hit in her head? as for me it would be 20 times?


    But the wound wasn''t that big and deep. Then again, I guessed punched a goblin and a goat to their death was a weird thing either.


    Anyhow, even though her health already reached 18, it still took some amount of time to close the wound. After some seconds had passed since I used it, it the wound finally completely healed.


    For the last skill point, after I spent some time thinking, with a consideration we did just fine when fighting against more or less twenty goblins and if it one orc I also could kill it by myself.


    Hunting the slime and the food wasn''t that hard either.


    Anyhow, the skill that I wanted to take was culinary. Maybe I was acting like a spoiled brat, but I just hoped this skill would give me some kind of taste from my cooking.


    After all, I guessed it was a human nature to search for something more whenever they were already satisfied by their current condition, right?


    And I wasn''t a great cook either. As for Natsuna... watching her burning the meat was making me shudder.


    Just as I told her about my plan.

    "Hm... then why are you asking me?" Said Natsuna as she tilted her head.

    After scavenging some of the goblin''s weapon, I took everything that had the less rust on it, it wasn''t but I managed to get one pretty clean knife around the size of a kitchen knife a wooden slingshot and two small leather satchels slightly bigger than my palm filled with stones, the stones were kinda useless but at least I didn''t need to gather the stones, anyhow the amount on the first satchel was enough, as for the second one, I emptied it and let Natsuna took the satchel.


    Moving away from the goblin graveyard, I was wondering and asking Natsuna how she could tell me the goblin incoming attack. My best guess she was using a skill, but when?


    "Oh, I only said it in my mind." Said Natsuna.


    That was all? I never tried to use it that way though.


    ...


    Wait, then all this time I was doing an unnecessary shout?! I stopped my walk and plainly staring at her.


    "...You should''ve told me about that." I said. "I mean, it''s kinda no It''s really embarrassing to shout things like that in front of other people, no even when I am alone it is embarrassing."


    Eight grade me would think that was cool and awesome though.


    "Hm~ I thought you already know. After all, Tsukasa kinda sounded a little happy when shouting the skill name." Natsuna happily made a grin to me, showing off a little bit of her teeth.


    It seemed some part of my chuuni still lingering around.


    "But I found it pretty cool, it almost feels we are a superhero in a Sunday morning tv show." Said Natsuna.

    Anyway, l didn''t know why but I kinda felt I would give her some unnecessary embarrassing information.

    And there she was, bluntly stated her mind and clumsily practising the red mask pose, even though she was a year older than me, while I thought it was embarrassing to watch a kid tv show.


    But seeing her expression and pose, kinda infected me with her happiness and made me smiled.

    "Wait, wait, wait a minute."I tilted my head as I tried to figure out how she could know the pose and how the hell she could like a tv show. I kinda want to ask that but... would that be a rude one? Truthfully I still didn''t know how I should act when I was with her.


    "Hm~ what?" Asked Natsuna. Meanwhile, Iddy was sucked into a small space, seemingly the time was over.


    "Erm... sorry... I don''t want to sound rude, but how can you do the pose? and how do you know the story?!"


    "Hm~ as I knew Tsukasa must be watching it too." She said. "But, if you''re curious my sister sometimes helping me moving my body and matching it with the pose, and do you see my red hair? she''s also the one that painted it for me." She said as she was fiddling with her hair.

    "Hm? A colour? Let''s see..." She said as she rubbed her chin. "Truthfully, I don''t actually have any concept about a colour."

    We sat down and I kinda explaining to her, "So thefirst is the slime, the same kind that we take our drink from. Anyway, if we''re doing it right, it should be ''grey''. The second one is the horn rabbit, I''m not exactly sure about this, but as far as I know, since you said they have a different colour, it should be a ''purple''. Sorry, but for me I see the horn rabbit in a grey colour."


    "Hm~." Said Natsuna as she blankly staring at these two creatures with her greyed-blue eyes. "I think I kinda know it. So... grape should''ve had this kind of colour, right?"


    "...In picture maybe, but in reality, it kinda had a different kind of colour, it''s my personal opinion though." I said. "Well, anyway, let''s make a camp at this place. And we already have a dinner too."


    Several times later, the rabbit was dead, all clean and ready to get burned, but curiously I used a culinary and much to my surprise, when I put the skewered meat into the fire, there were several options appeared from the supposedly blank screen.

    I did felt happy when I saw this, but at the same time, I felt a little bit disappointed, considering the taste would be the same as the usual.


    "Anyway, Natsuna, the smoke that is flying right now is grey, maybe... more or less."

 Chapter 9

    I patiently watched her bit the meat away from the thin bones, yep. This time for sure.


    After several minutes, Natsuna opened her status screen and showing me her current status. Finally, after the fourth attempt, she managed to get a +1 in her vision but it seemed she still couldn''t see. Maybe because the bonus was insignificant or that wasn''t the case.


    But I did get a fewknowledge after cooking for several times.


    First, only one food effect would be activated, eating another buff food, even with the one that didn''t directly giving us a buff would replace the former buff.


    Second, the buff would take some amount of time before it took an effect. As far as I knew, it would take around 200 till 300 seconds before the effect kicked in.


    Third, funny enough, I could use it more than ten times, but just a moment the cooking point reached 0, I received the first failure in the cooking process, and then I succeed and failed and failed again. Anyhow, I stopped on the fourteenth meat, and from the four failed meat, two of them didn''t have anything, and one of them had ??? buff.


    Anyhow after we finished our meal, wejust went to sleep. I wondered if it was because we were ignorant or what, but as far as I could tell, except the orc and the goblins, none of the other monsters had actually tried to eat or attack us.


    On the sixth day, nothing special happened but something crossed my mind just before we made a camp.


    "You sure it''s okay?"


    "Hm, it''s fine."


    A second after Natsuna said that, the space in front of her began to distort into a black mass, and a squad red horse appeared from the distorted space and stood beside her.


    "Don''t fight or run." Natsuna said as she walked back and the pony plodded forward.


    I took a deep breath, clenched my fist and pummeled the pony. If someone was watching what I did right now, I bet they would say I did an animal cruelty.


    But whatever, on the first punch I could see my fist made a mark on the pony''s neck, the second punch made a crackling sound on its nuzzle, third punch near on its front legs created another crackling sound, now the pony was having a hard time to stand, and as I landed the fourth punch the pony''s body dropped to the floor, gradually became fuzzy and dissipating into a smoke.


    For 13 health pony, I needed to do four punches huh. Then 13 divided by 4 was 3.2?, and I guessed the number would be rounded down, considering I hadn''t seen a skill with a decimal number.


    Then both of the goat and the goblins had health somewhere between 5-8? For the orc, it should be 16 or somewhere below that?


    That meant Natsuna had a higher health than the orc huh? but speaking of her...


    "Do I really need to do this?"


    Now we were standing in front of each other, around 30 cm apart. "...I don''t want it either but... grh... just do it."


    "Hm~ then please excuse me."


    She clenched her fist while I was opening my status screen, and with a light punch directed right into my stomach, my health wasn''t reduced. Chest... it was a little bit painful but nope. Arms... nope.


    Low sweep on my legs... her health was the one that got reduced by one as Natsuna dropped down while holding her shank, groaning in pain.


    My face... yep it got reduced by one. My throat, it was the most painful one so far, enough to make me choke and my health got reduced by two.


    And lastly, with a blushed face she kicked my precious.

    I dropped to the ground, squirming around as I hold my groin. Biting my own lips as I tried to not scream. ...God, why do I do this stupid idea?!Anyhow, even though it was more painful than a hit on my throat, my health got reduced by four.


    Was this what they called with critical attack?!


    Then again it really surprised me for her to actually kick me in the groin. Yeah, I knew I was the one that told her the idea, but shouldn''t she have this kind of hesitation?!


    Anyhow, while she was worryingly looking at me and patting my back. "Sorry... I should''ve held back on the last one." Said Natsuna with reddened cheek and ear.


    But... thanks to this small experiment.     Then again, when I punched the orc and broke it shoulder or broke the pony''s leg it only gave 4 damage? meanwhile, a stone right into Natsuna''s head and a jab right into my stomach gave us 2 damage?


    In the former case the wound and the damage were consistent, but in the latter case, it wasn''t. Seemed like the wound didn''t have any correlation with the damage or she had a better pain tolerance than me?


    Nay, that wasn''t the case. Considering she was the one that hurt her own leg when our shank bumped into each other.


    "Hm... Tsukasa? Hello? Are you fine?" She asked.


    "Ah, yes. Thanks."


    And the sixth day ended just like this... though, shouldn''t be getting kicked in a ballsupposedly felt like breaking a thousand bones at the same time?! Was the theory wrong? Or the rule in this world was kinda different?


    On the seventh day we were walking, just kept walking, walking, walking. What did we do on the eighth day? We walked, walked, walked.


    But as a side notes, on the eighthday,we met another group of the goblins.


    Did we go in the wrong direction?


    Anyhow, I usedmight. On my idle time I kinda did a small experiment for my skills, and surprisingly, Might couldn''t increase the bonus in my unarmed and movement, maybe because Might hadn''t reached a level 2 so it couldn''t raise anything higher than a level 1? I didn''t know the basic idea,but I did know a good combination to compliment our current situation.


    Raising lightness kinda increasing my jumping power and distance, and seemingly I could walk more stealthily than the usual.


    Raising throwing combat didn''tallow me to use its skill, but seemed like I would get the passive bonus and the damage bonus. Anyhow, with these amount of stones, and with some consideration that I needed to have a backup plan, just in case I couldn''t get to Natsuna in time, having a ranged attack was the solution.


    Back to the goblin, "There are eight goblins. Two in the front and four are hiding behind them. And another two circling their way in each side." Natsuna said this to me before she took a step back.


    Anyway, it was because of detect magic. She kinda able to ''see'' the image of several circles in her mind and their current position. The problem was, she couldn''t differentiate each of the circles and things like the goat didn''t show any circle to her.


    But that was more than enough.


    Surprisingly, compared to the orc that blindly attacked me, the goblins fought with tactic and strategy huh.


    And just right now they were provoking me to walk right into their trap.


    Silently Iused guidance and took two rocks from my satchel, letting my hand guide my attacks. Knowing the exact location was impossible if I didn''t know about their current position, but with the knowledge of their direction, the rest was an easy task.


    I threw two rocks to the front, hitting two goblins that were hiding behind of the grasses.


    "Kiki!!"


    I couldn''t help but wonder though. If they were smart enough to set an ambush then why did they need to shout and jump out from the grasses when their tactic failed?


    Just as they rushed in, I threw another pair of stone to the goblins that had broken nose and bruise on their eyes, and another pair, and another pair, and another painbut they didn''t show any symptom of being dead.


    And here I thought a pebble would give two damage but seemed like it wasn''t the case.


    Anyway, I knew this was dangerous, but I focused my way on the other six goblins, kicking and punching them to their death.


    As for the other two, I kinda repeatedly throwing a rock to them. Then again, maybe because the rocks that I threw were more like pebbles than the actual rock. But, one goblin fell on the sixth threw while the other one died on the ninth shot.


    Huh... interesting, and here I was sure each one of the goblins would have the same amount of health but that didn''t seem to be the case.     Maybe this world didn''t have an exp share feature? But if that was the case, no one would be wanted to take blessing, divination or any non-attacking skill, right?


    Anyway, this time I got two pretty good quality knife and another rock filled satchel.


    After we walked away from the goblin graveyard.

    And as said another dozen of a random word, I saw Natsuna was biting her lips, trying to hold the laugh out from her mouth, while sometimes chuckle.


    After another series of randomattempts, surprisingly the method to create a party was very simple. As long as our palms were connected or maybe a body part? And said from our mouth or maybe in our heart, a red patterned circle would appear on our finger''s. In this case, it was on my middle finger, and ring finger on Natsuna.


    "Congratulations! You have created a party!"

    Maybe we did go in the wrong direction.


    Last night alone, we got ambushed by four goblins. Anyway, thanks to Iddy''s bark, I barely able to wake up just in time to repel the attack.

    Was it because we were at the same party? But first thing first, I searched for something useful from the three goblins in front of me. Not a single useful thing.

    A lot huh... I shifted my gaze to Natsuna, just from her expression alone, I noticed she wanted to help them but seemed like she knew the limit of her own capability.


    And pretty much she tried to hold back her will to save them. Well, maybe she just felt bad to force me?

    Just as I said that she turned her head to my voice direction with a combination of cheerful and worried expression.


    "But..."


    "Since it''s a group of people, there is a big chance that they are someone from this world. Anyway, if there are too many monsters we can fall back, right?"

    10 minutes later, I could see something from the horizon, I already wheezed as my burning lungs gasped for air, my legs felt numb and unsteady. I opened my status screen, not good.By the time I finished the morning combat with three goblins my stamina went down to 49, not to mention we didn''t have any chance to make a breakfast.


    Anyway, 10 minutes sprinting at a max speed cost me 30 stamina, not to mention there was another one or maybe two kilometres left.


    Around two minutes later, I stopped and told Natsuna to step down from her pony, telling both of them to lower their body.


    There was a group of... human? but I could see some of them had an animal ear. Yeah, they must be the famous beastmen huh.


    And the one that they fought...


    Four orcs, all of them had a different weapon, a giant sword chipped sword, a rusty old spear, a mace, and was that a crossbow?


    On the ground, I could see one orc lifeless corpse and fourbeastmen? It was hard to tell since their body was crushed to a pulp, but from their clothes alone I could tell the crushed ones were in the same group as the living ones.


    Urgh... seeing them kinda made me sick. Even though I didn''t feel this way when I killed the goblin.Maybe because they looked very similar to a human.


    Anyway, my magic was full, but my stamina was 13.


    I looked into Natsuna, hoping she had at least 20 magic to usesummonwooden golem army, but yeah... she only had 17 magic left.


    Her summon right now was Raven, with 25 minutes time, Pony, and the dog, Iddy.


    Should we bail out, rest for a while and came back at a later time, hoping that some of the beastmen still alive?

    Next, both of me and Iddy were crawling around, making a slight deviation from Natsuna''s position.


    As both of us arrived slightly on the right side, I castMight:Visionand Throwing,Feather bodyandGuidance.

    I stood up and took a deep breath. And then I dashed, with Iddy running at my side.


    Afraid? Funny enough I didn''t feel like that. I knew I could take one of the orc, and if things went wrong, wejust need to leave the beastmen behind.


    We were charging straight at the orc, as our feet made a loud rustling sound while my mouth made a loud voice. And I attracted two orcs attention,the one with the mace and the one with the crossbow attention.


    Well, considering orc(sword) was clashing against the beastmens, while orc(spear) was on the other side, this was just what I expected.


    As the orc (mace) charged toward me, the orc (crossbow) shot its bolt right into my face, surprisingly it had a good accuracy.


    I wouldn''t say I could react fast enough while I was running at a full speed though, but that was why I cast Selective Fortification and brought Iddy with me. Iddy faithfully listened to follow Natsuna''s order and leapt right at the bolt. Becoming my meat shield.


    Losing its ammunition, the orc(crossbow) started reloading it. But from the sky, the raven dove down and embedded its claw right at the orc face, andright inside of its mouth was a Fire Beetle.


    It didn''t instantly detonate like it supposed to be, maybe because the telepathy had a delay but either way, the Fire Beetle did manage to explode right at the orc''s eyes, creating a blinding flashlight.


    I just hoped it could achieve its role for longer than ten seconds.


    The orc(crossbow) foolishly dropping its crossbow and used one of its hand to rub its eyes while the other one was flailing around, searching for the raven.


    Butbuffed withmight: physical, even though the crossbow had a bigger size than the raven, shewas able to take the crossbow with her talon and flew away. With this, the most troublesome orc, the one that could attack from the distance was gone.


    For the orc(mace), while it was charging toward me, and thanks to Might: Vision and ThrowingandGuidance, I just knew the timing and the direction, to throw the knife right into its face, more precisely its eyes.


    Of course the orc(mace)used its free hand to cover its face.


    But just as the orc(mace) did that, at the same time, I was usingLaunch anddirected another knife into its groin.


    Green blood splashed everywhere, the orc shrieked and losing its balance, but thanks to my experience from before, I knew it would have a big problem to stop its charging.


    And what arrived right at its unbalanced body was a flying kick right into its muscular chest, just a normal flying kick though.


    It didn''t pierce its skin but it was enough to make an impact to push its body and make a loud crackling sound.


    But damn... I felt like I was kicking a stone wall right now.


    Anyway, ignoring the pain from my leg, thanks to the Feather Body, my jumping power was increased. And even though I didn''t have any running momentum I could use the orc(mace) body as my stepstone and leap to the side; having no worries about any ranged attack.


    Meanwhile, the orc(mace) was getting staggered and falling to the ground. I knew it was still alive but it wasn''t my job to finish it.


    "Iddy! Bite its neck!" I shouted as Istarted my momentum again from the start and ran to the orc(spear)


    In that frozen second between me and the orc(spear). Our faces were unreadable, no fear, no invitational smirk. In that instant, I flew at the orc.


    With a big disgusting smirk, the orc spun its spear and using its muscular arm to stab me but it got deflected as if the spear was hitting a diamond, and yet at the same time it made contact with my body me, the spear slid away to the side.


    Then my leg was making a contact to the orc''s face, so much force inone blow, enough to squeeze the orc''s pig-like nose inward. Then I jumped back and started charging at the staggering orc(spear) to deliver rained blows onto it as if I meant to smash it into the very earth.


    Next, I ran and then my fist was slamming into the orc (crossbow) chest; it gagged. Then I sunk my fist into its stomach; blood pooled out from its mouth.


    I stumbled apart for a brief second to catch my breaths before diving back at the orc, eyes narrowed in determination.


    But this time it blocked my fist and came up with its own; for a brief instant, its pig nose widened before I managed to tilt my head back and slammed it into its stomach.


    The orc was letting my hand go, though at the same time stars burst in my vision but I shook it off just in time to step back as the orc threw a sloppy kick.


    Then I threw my body weight behind the fist that edged closer to the orc''s stomach, making it kneeled down. With my own two hands I grasped the orc''s ears in my hands and brought my knee cap up to its nose, there was a blunt crack and I released my hands from its ears.


    I followed this by uppercutting the orc''s jaw, my fist collided with its jaw, then for the first time the orc drew its fist and ploughed right into my face, crimson blood leaked from both my nostrils, my nose was twisted right and I knew there was a bruise on my right eye.


    My whole body was trembling and my right vision was hazy. Even though it was only a single hit, but it felt like ten punches pummeling me down at the same time.


    I spat the massive amount of blood right from my mouth. I guessed the buff was over, anyhow it was the time to make a retreat.


    But just before I did that, the orc fell to the ground, Its chest stoppedrose and sankand the big hole on its nose stopped pulsating.


    .....


    Maybe that was a people call as the last effort, heh.


    And as I turned my head it seemed the beastmens finally finished the last orc.


    They curiously looking at me and then, seemingly their group leader, a bunny-eared beastmen was opening his mouth.


    "!@#$@%~~$@##^%$."


    W...what?

 Chapter 11

    "Sorry, I don''t understand either."


    Natsuna Natsume turned around and gave an embarrassed smile, she said that she knew a few foreign languages, but I supposed it would be weirder if she could understand their language.


    After all, right now we were standing in the middle of the orc corpses, surrounded by a white bunny eared beastmen with shortcut white hair and red eyes, kinda looked like an old man in his fifty wearing a bunny costume.


    Then a muscular archer with a more animalistic feline-ish feature on his face, a brown long mane and the same coloured long brown hair. It didn''t take long for me to realize he was a lion, but unlike the bunny man, the lion man had some dim golden furwrapped on his body, while some looked like a normal human skin.


    And the last, the short one was dropping his/her hood down and his/her had a frog... no he/she was basically a big frog, standing straight with two legs, two arms, and a torso. Huh, I wondered what made each one of them had different look or maybe they were a different species?


    Anyway, the froggy was beckoning his/her right hand in a slow movement, seemed like he/she wanted me to come over to him/her?


    Urgh... I would just assume the froggy was a male, considering the other two was a male.


    I walked toward him and he still beckoning his big three fingers hand. I presumed he wanted me to bent my head down? Anyway, he didn''t seem hostile, so why not?


    I bent my head and he started speaking, still in an abstract language.


    Soon enough, his hand had a golden glow. My right eye that was having a trouble to see the surrounding due to the big swollen bruise, was wrapped in the same light, actually, my whole face was wrapped in the golden light.


    As he continued to speak, the pain gradually disappeared, and a few seconds later, I could open my right eye. The bruise wasgone, even I could breathe normally. Only a red trace was seen at my nose, like a proof that it was injured before.


    "Sromdk." The froggy said something that I would assume as a word of gratitude and gave me a smile before he went to his friends and started walking to the corpses.


    They began to scavenge the corpse on their friend, I could see from the distance the bunny ear man was chopping their hair, ear, tooth, or anything that still could betaken; they took it and put it into a leather pouch.


    But watching the corpses somehow made me shivered.


    Just what kind of destructive power the orc had? and how did I still alive? Maybe because the one that hit me was a ranged fighter so it didn''t have too much power?


    With a gasp, I suddenly remembered about something and opened my status screen to check my health. Damn... It was already full, even though this was a good opportunity to check the orc''s brute strength and their damage.

    And just as I stared at my screen, I reckoned the three beastmen were staring at me. Just as I replied their gaze, the bunny man raised his hand before he and the other two continued to scavenge their comrade''s body parts and moved to the orc.

    I turned around, walked to her and telling her what happened. Describing their appearances, what they did right now, and the froggy could use magic.


    "Hm.." Natsuna muttered. Then her hand was floating around; trying to search for something. Her hand stopped as she touched my right shoulder, stroking around before she moved her hand at my neck and then my cheek.


    "Hm~ it really is gone." She said. "But Tsukasa, you should''ve told me if you''re having an injury."


    "Should I? Well, considering I could''ve just healed it after my magic replenished, I don''t think I need to do that." I said.


    " Hm... I guess you''re right. Magic is really convenient after all. "


    Natsuna smiled no... she might be smiled but her eyes weren''t smiling. Anyway, she used her other hand to touch my face and simply moving it around.


    Getting stroked back and forth like this somehow made me felt I was being treated like a dog.


    And before I was able to say anything, with a big smirk she widened her hands and made a clap to my cheeks.


    Her slap didn''t hurt, but still. "What the hell was that slap?!" I shouted with a confused feeling.


    " Hm... I think I''m going to take a blessing magic on my next level. " She said as she slowly let her hands off from my cheeks.


    Natsuna curled her lips up and she nodded several times with a warm smile.


    "Hm~ Just checking if you''re doing fine."


    In the end, our objectives were meeting with someone from this world.


    I sat down while I was watching them scavenging the orc''s body part, pondering what I should do to communicate with them.


    And while I was thinking this, my stomach was creating a loud rumble. Huh, right we were skipping our breakfast today.

    The truth, I didn''t think I could do any more hard activity, at least not without taking some rest.

    "Hm~." She replied before she summoned Iddy out, right... I forgot she still had some magic left. "Iddy, go get something for us to eat." She said.


    Right... I forgot she still had some Magic left. But it was really funny, to think just a few days ago we almost starved to death, and yet right now we sat down while Iddy was the one that did the job.


    Speaking of which, the three beastmen were walking toward us.


    The bunny man and his gang sat right in front of us, he cleared his throat and repeatedly pointed to him, the lion man and the frog. "Eku,Rein and Wakanga."


    Was that their name? Anyway, I did the same thing and introduced both of ourselves.


    ...


    And there was another long awkward silence, I guessed it might be hard to communicate with someone that didn''t have the same language, huh.


    "Hm..."


    Natsuna''s hand was moving across the ground and she silently ripped some grasses and showed it to them.


    "Thar? Skoros roeg rusir i?" The bunny man tilted his head, curiously looking at her palm.


    Though, I believed I kinda understood what she wanted to do.


    I took one stone out from the leather satchel and this time the frog, Wakanga nodded his head with a wide smile. "Negwin."


    After spending some time, Iddy walked back with a horn rabbit on his mouth.


    "Chiva Hunes." Said Wakangaas he pointed his finger to the horn rabbit. "Jano." As he pointed toward Iddy.


    And we spent the rest of our day learning some vocabulary of this world.

 Chapter 12

    3 days had passed since we met the beastmens.


    Right now we were walking on the footpath, even though winding, it remained the exact same width. In the distance, I could see a lone human chased after a goblin that snatched abig khaki bag from the man.


    With a big crossbow; big enough until I had to use both of my hand to keep it steady. I closed one of my eye, aiming at the goblin and with a simple movement from my finger, the bolt flew, hitting the goblin right in the middle of its chest.


    "Damn, you''re a fast learner but a real man should do it with their own muscle." Said Rein, the lion man.


    Speaking of which, maybe because it was an emergency or we were in a desperate situation, either way, the language of this world wasn''t that hard. A single sentence might be an easy one, but if itwasa full paragraph or a long sentence, I had to think for a few seconds to understand it.


    Natsuna on the other hand, already fluently spoke this world language. Well, she wasn''t that fluent as our accent kinda getting in the way.


    Likewise, what they taught to us was what they called ''Common'' language. A language that everyone and what they meant by ''everyone'' was every humanoid race; A few other languages were: Beast, Elvish, Dwarvish, Infernal and a dozen more.


    Anyway, as I walked and pulled the bolt away from the goblin''s chest, a ghostly voice and a bell notified me that I gained another level.

    "Already? As I expected from the crystal.''" Wakanga said as he rubbed his chin and looking at me with an eye full of curiosity.


    In this world, there were four types of sentient things. At first, Wakanga explanation was felt like a boring mathematics teacher; either way, quoting Wakanga simple words.


    The first one was a ''holed bag''. Sentient being in this categorycouldn''t absorb any amount of mana or life forceeven though they managed to kill a creature. It still possible for them to manually train their Body or Combat skill, but the training was monstrous.


    Second, it was a ''leather bottle''. A Sentient being in this category only absorbed a small amount of mana, it varied but in his experience, from level 1 to level 2 one needed to kill 3000 slimes or 300 orcs. And just as a leather bottle, this type couldn''t open, see and manage their status. In a sense, the one in this category was the same as us, but they needed to manually learn their magic, body, combat and mastery.


    Third, it was a ''Crystal glass''. Basically, just like a crystal glass, the one in this category could absorb mana far more than the second type, they could see and manage their status, instantly learn the skill, and instantly gained the bonus every time they levelled up; The amount of mana they could absorb was varied, depended on each individual. Either way, this was a very rare category, it wasn''t a cheat level skill but they did have a great advantage.


    Anyway, the lone man was walking toward us with a ragged breath.     Just as I wanted to open my mouth, Wakanga used his stick to close my jaw. "This one doesn''t know where doth thou come from and what thy parent teach thou, but in ourcontinent, this isn''t how we do the business, especially with the merchant."


    Just as Wakanga finished his words, he and Rein walked forward, and now the three beastmen were circling the merchant, forcing him to give some money to them.


    While I was wondering where Wakanga had that kind of confident to say that sentence, even though they didn''t give anything to us... well, they agreed to become our guide and went back to the city with us, so I guessed that was the way they paid their favour.


    Anyway, we might be needed some money, so I guessed this was ok.


    And it seemed they would take some time to talk to the merchant.


    "Let''s get some rest." I said to Natsuna.


    She silently nodded. We moved to the edge, slowly sat and opened our status screen.


    At first, I wanted to take shooting and another random one, but considering the bonuses from Lvl 2, I guessed it would be a better decision to raise one of my current skill into Lvl 2.
