In this era, everything one need to payment was a card and the value of one card indicated by numbers which calculate based on currency ratio of former nations before the ¡°united day¡±, a Super-computer located in an influence neutral nation has given the task and distributed all the coins to people all over the world. The coins could be generated or erased from the system based on records of productions of each region in the World¡­ Since currency ratio between countries no longer exist, Nations military power and influent only means for safeguard and no longer affects the economy of that region anymore. As a result, the number of large scale wars had decreased. The fierce competitions between companies from regions helped goods distributed equally to the world in a reasonable price, made the scarcity of goods over the world disappeared.

    Information technology was connecting this world together. No matter where you were in this world, as long as Information technology existed in there, you were connected to the ocean of information all over the world. You could see a family member in the other side of the world with your smartphone. You were able to bein touch with any information in any other place in the world as long as Information technology exists in there.

    Medical technology made us live a long and better life. Advance medical technology prevented many diseases and so human life could be extended. Without the greed of better living conditions, we would forever be like other animals, hunting or collecting for living. There would be no improvements. There would be no building, clothes, books or electricity. Food cultures and Art would have never existed. Without the greed to live on, to keep ourselves alive, medical technology would never be advanced and we could die with just a light fever¡­

    The VR technology was one of those values made by human greed and ambition. Since people always want to have new experience but afraid of losing what we already have. Because we are all greedy! People want to satisfy their desire to destroy things, change the world or challenge the feeling of creating a new world without ruining their current peaceful life.

    Let me tell you about the first ¡°real VR system¡± made in this world.

    Not the cheap and incomplete ones but a full-dive device

    This system existed for only one reason.

    Part 1

    Light lived a lonely life since his childhood. His name was given as his parent want him to live in the Light, always doing right thing and have a bright future; Mockingly, for all people Light had known, the person always lack what their name indicate how they should be; a guy who his name indicated he¡¯s handsome was actually average; a girl who her name indicate she has a mild personality was actually an active and not mild at all; ¡­ for all people Light known, include himself, since he always found his surround a thick darkness. The light was what his life still lacking

    Light only childhood friend were books. He grew up with his grandparents and like people said, ¡°you fit where you live¡±, Light¡¯s life style was as same as an old man and even the way he thought was no different. Light was almost completely blind about technologies in the era he was living in.

    Said to be descendant of kings from hundreds years ago, a brand family of a brand, the great grandson of a wealthy merchant in the war era long ago, Light have a hard life.

    ¡°What is the big deal? All left is the family name that many others family out there also have and all the factories, land and half of our house has been took away by the government in the name of distribute for ¡°people who have nothing¡± unwillingly. What is the point of bring it up proudly? It¡¯s a shame to mention about it¡± was what Light always thought. Sadly, his family wasn¡¯t thinking the same. Their mind was unable to let things go. Light was grown up in his family expectations, to rebuild their glory in the pass.

    Until that day, his parents leaved the house for different problems. Light, which in his early teens broke free from all his chains, from all of the expectations people had put on him in the pass and ran wild. From one of the top students in the class, he has fallen to the bottom. Since no one expected anything from him anymore, there was nothing he must do. He lived for no one then, not even for himself because from the moment he was born, he has lived on for the others. His family never let him lived for himself or even dreamed of it. He didn¡¯t how to fight for himself, he didn¡¯t know how to live for himself.

    Could you tell there was a river there when a flood came and everywhere become the same, covered by water?

    If his life was like a river until now, then Light¡¯s life has become an aimless life, like a river in the flood.

    Bad academic result in his secondary school only allowed Light to join a 3<sup>rd</sup> rate high school far away from his house. The thing was, in a place where the average was so low, Light suddenly became a top student again. How funny could that be? And so there were people who got close to him, using him for their own advantage, and then backstab him. Light, who just overcome his previous trauma fallen again. He became a typical delinquent. Most of his time table back in the high school must be in the game center and when he was not, he broke into a fight with others delinquents and sometimes also small fry criminals, throwing his life away.

    In this period of time, Light started to take a liking of novels and manga, specially the fantasy ones. There were people who drink to lessen their sadness. There were people who ruin themselves with drugs in sorrow to seek delusion joy. For Light, all he need back then was a story, about adventures in other world or just a simple life in a fiction world. Most of it about people who fight for a happy life, the others were comedy one which cheer him up. Light has never dream for himself before and because he has forgot how to dream, it would be fine to use someone else¡¯s that put inside those story as the materials for his dream. If he couldn¡¯t make his own dream, he would somehow borrow it for the time.

    I bet anyone have at less one time they want to live another life, a different life. If it¡¯s not, either you are unable to dream or you are actually the happiest person in your own world.

    That was why when his uncle gave him a chance to study in a college that include programing in the study progress, Light thought he would made a game by himself, something similar to the one he read in the novel. He feel a little bit happy back then when thinking about fulfill his first dream despite his family was using some of their old connections to get him in there, which he did not like at all. However, things were not always like you predict it¡­

    Graduated from a less-known college, lack in experience and maybe also determination, there was no job match what Light has learned at school as he found. What he has learned was something between IT and Commerce field. He has basic knowledge of software program, accountancy, banking, export, import, information management but all of it was in basic only, a jack of all trade in nutshell. His programing skill wasn¡¯t as good as people who trained in an IT school. His accountancy skill wasn¡¯t as good as people who attended an accountancy class. He known how banks operating but did not trained to work in there. He could do the export and import related works just fine but it was a saturated business in his region and since his region was one of the top 10 in the world about political corruption, the main requirement for this kind of job was connections and ability to bribe without letting any trace behind. Since Light hated to flatter people and doing sneaky stuffs, he feel like doing this kind of job would make him got sick. Information management was more of a support skill than a job to Light. When competing for a job, in all the fields he has been trained, Light never been the best. That was the fate of a jack of all trade. He was unable to find a suitable job in this era of specialist.

    Light took a part-time job in the shopping mall about 5km away from his home. He was 22 years old already, he need income so he would not be a weight for his family. His family already was his weight already, sadly. Money was unable to buy happiness, people said, but there was a need of it for living.Stolen novel; please report.

It couldn¡¯t be denied that the VR world looked so ¡°real¡±, but ¡°look¡± only. The Virtual Reality created in the modern days couldn¡¯t re-create the taste on your tongue, the feeling on your skin or the smell on your nose since the devices that able to re-create such things was not invented yet.

    Since Virtual Reality technology was developing and mostly in testing phase, the expense for one try was really expensive, at less for a part-timer like Light. The expense he has to pay equal to one working day worth of him. It was a really large expense to someone from a regular family that the main workforce was freelancers and part-timers.

    The story would never progress if our main character happy with his part-timer life, forever waiting for a chance to change his life or a suitable job for him.

    The fact is, after years escaped from his family¡¯s expectations and overcome his pass trauma, Light learned how to dream. Not just borrow or mimic other dream anymore

    His only bound was his feeling of guilty toward the relative helped him took this job but since the work was boring and the others staff are incompetent, Light decided to quit the job after a long time thought about it. 3 weeks already passed since the day he quit, the fact was Light still wandering around this shopping mall seems quite suspicious.

    Light rarely brought anything. Most of his salary he earned was spend for food and drink. He rarely turned his room light on so he has almost no electric bill to pay, so his water bill and gas bill.

    Back to the screen! If it was just today he came to try the VR stall then it could be an acceptable event. However, his appearance in this place until today was abnormal in a regular stand point. He comes here every day for a meal and only took leave once a week despite his no longer exist income. Simply put it, he acted like he still working here in front of his family and come here every day for a cheap meal, a combo of ice milk coffee and chicken bread he orders every day since the day he worked in here. There would be another reason, which Light himself refused to admit, was he just want to see the girl who worked in the fast food stall. He has a crush on her.

    Learning to dream, Light also started to know about love. It was not the desire to breed that many young people nowadays mistake for love. It was the desire to protect a girl which one took a liking for.

    ¡°I can¡¯t bring anything good for them with my current self. It will be better if they know nothing of my feeling¡±

    It was what Light always thought. This wasn¡¯t the first time and neither the last. It was always his selfish love he keeps for himself. It was always that one way love that he keeps hidden. He could far away from the one he loved. He could meet them every day. Nothing will change in their relationship. Light could look after the one he loved, offered his help in need and leaved after then. He could only be a part-time guardian protecting his loved one. There would be nothing changed. Because his love was everything he has. Because he did not known about happiness, he was afraid he could be unable to give it to his loved one. And so he keeps his selfish love for himself. In another point of view, maybe what he did could be compared to how the character named Sengoku Nadeko in the novel series Monogatari thought about this one way and distorted ¡°love¡±

    ¡°Falling in love with someone is a simply marvelous thing¡±

    ¡°With just that you feel like going on living, and with just that you cheered. You fill with a warm and fuzzy feeling¡±

    ¡°The world is full of hardships, there are so many unpleasant things and many that don¡¯t go your way. Troubles are only ever piling higher¡±

    With this thought, Light used to believe thing would be find as long as nothing change

    ¡°But what should I do? I¡¯m only good at things I like¡±

    ¡°Maybe I should try to build a VR system, a real one that can give the user experience all senses in there, a full dive one¡±

    ¡°It will be hard with my current self alone so I will need to find helps¡±

    He could be an unmotivated guy but as long as he set up an aim for himself, failure isn¡¯t an option to him, just like how he pass each and every exams with only 5 minutes of book reading before the tests.

    He will need the strongest hardware personal computer possible to run one of the ¡°would be¡± most complicate software. We are talking about Virtual Reality here, a fake reality, the more ¡°real¡± this system is, the more it demand in hardware and software. You can¡¯t have it without money. I¡¯m talking about a lot of money. Even big corporations spend millions coin to develop it but still unable to success in create all the false information for human¡¯s sense with their VR machine. Maybe their already gave up on a full-dive device.

    How would you raising fund for this project if you was in his shoes?

    There are many ideas pop-up in Light¡¯s mind: Help from his family, work and save up money, sponsor, take a loan, call for donate form public,¡­

    Asking family for help, save up money by working and many other options soon out of Light¡¯s mind since it was pathetic and may cost all his life and there still be no progress. Donate from public soon out of question too. Like hell people would donate their money in a suspicious project of a guy no one ever known. Sponsor or take a loan means the project would become dependent on an external factor and any fruit the project bringing would be took away from Light. Asking for sponsor from companies sound possible but the chance Light getting kick out after he was forced to show all his cards is simply too high but not showing the cards give him no chance for a sponsor. Take a loan is the same, Banks will not accepts an investment of something that risky from an unemployed and the amount of money if the loan was possible also insufficient; Underground¡¯s Loan is a different matter since you only need to exchange your own safety for the money. The problem is you will never able to erase the debt. The cunning dark credit organization will do anything to make you unable to pay the debt in time and have to be their living ATM to the rest of your life. There are so many options but the right option is only one. It¡¯s hard to choose the right one in the ocean where thousands of pros and cons floating around.

    ¡°There is only one way to earn a large sum of money in a short time without any instant harm, I guess¡±

    Having the resolve doesn¡¯t mean having the courageous to do something dangerous. Having courageous to do something dangerous doesn¡¯t mean having no worries that can¡¯t cause waver when executing the action. A waver can be deathly in the action Light was about to take.

    To get rid of the waver and also strengthen the resolve, there are so many way. Fighters or many athletics usually listen to music or stay in a silent place to keep their mind in peace. Some want to stay alone and focus¡­

    To Light, his desire for a different life was what pushing him to do this thing, his hope for a change in his relationships with people around him also a reason.

    So to get rid of all the wavers inside him, Light choose to see people he loved

    Not to meet them in case this would be his last time seeing them

    But to gain strength and overcome obstructs in the unknown future

    It¡¯s not likely Politician could shamelessly pay their daily life¡¯s expense with this kind of money, because it is dirty.

    They have to ¡°wash¡± it first. In the name of investments

    There would be companies that do nothing but somehow their profit every year always is sky rocket. These companies would somehow invest in gamble business and financial business. The flow of dirty money would go through the hands of normal citizen and the dirty money will successfully ¡°washed¡±. There would be 10 to 20% lost in the progress. To people in this business it was an acceptable expense to ¡°wash¡± the dirty money. It was very hard to chase after the flow of money in developed countries from the Western. It¡¯s harder here where 80% of the world population lived. Eventually, people who are in charge of the shady company will be arrested. Unfortunately, the law indicated the person who will take responsibility for a company in front of the law is the director and CEO of the company. You may say: what wrong with it? No, even a wild animal have reason to kill so killing without a reason even seem lower than an animal.

    ¡±This world is an object. The closer an object get to the light¡¯s source, the more darkness it left behind¡± was Light¡¯s counter when someone bring up a silly righteous ideals to talk to him, like forgive a murder and let him kill others victim after then or saying not kill animal for food but still eat meat just fine. It¡¯s just how he looked at the world, a place full of hypocritical people.

    ¡®These two are bad people who live on other blood, so kill them will make this world better, right? The money will be used to develop the VR technology, which if success would bring huge changes for the world. Isn¡¯t it also a good thing?     Actually, Light never seen any of people in this kind of business wear any helmet when driving on the road. Could we say this is how they proved that they don¡¯t give a shit about the law?

    ¡°You rip what you sow!¡± Light said to the two lying man who bleeding badly on the road. Blood flew out from their ears and noses, indicated their brains has been damaged. The two unlucky villains would never think their life end that day in a desert and dirty place like this under the heavy rain. More than 80% these people will die in a case like this if Light leave them be.

    ¡®If they follow the law, there is no way they would die like this. This is nothing but divine retribution for them¡¯

    ¡°It will be better if the world have one less of you people¡± Light declared as he grabbed the two head and slam it to the ground few more times. To Light, his feeling of guilt no longer there as long as he see his doing was the right thing. Since the police force in this region has all been corrupted, he would let himself stand above the law.

    The distortion from disbelieve in the law

    It will be a pain if any of the two stay alive and tell the other about this ¡°incident¡± but doing too much will make this look clearly an assault and the others will be on guard. If this two die here, all people can thought of is they got into an accident, slipped in the rain but unfortunately, without the helmets, the two¡¯s head crash into the ground and made them die. The lost money could be thought of as some greedy people who pass by took away and only known by people who known about it but these people would never tell the police about this money since everyone known the reason. Will you call the police if the beautiful girl you kidnap to use as a plaything escape from your hide out or when the money you robbed from someone else get stolen? This case is the same. At less, the corrupted police force can¡¯t openly finding lost dirty money for the people of underground since there are still media organizations out there keeping an eye on them.

    Cash isn¡¯t popular in this world since all you need pay for something is a card with money in your account but to the undeveloped parts of this world, cash is encouraged to use by the governing system of these regions because cash is harder to observe than account¡¯s number. Cash left no record. The political in these regions bring up their incomplete system to refuse using card when trading inland and unwilling to complete it. They just purely avoid upgrading themselves since the better system equal to the less of holes in there and their benefits would be decreased.

    The bag Light took from the two dying man have over 400,000 coins in there. It¡¯s called ¡°coin¡± but the cash is special papers with numbers on them to indicate its value so 400,000 coins isn¡¯t as heavy as you imagines. Let say a developing region¡¯s average income is 200 coins per month and the developed region¡¯s average income is 2000 coins per month, people in the developing region will need to work 2000 months,167 years of working to earn this much money and it¡¯s about 17 years of working for a regular people in the developed region. This much will be enough for Light to obtain the latest PC and pay for other project¡¯s expenses since the VR project will be a money-eating beast.

    What is the different between a game and a VR anyway?

    Isn¡¯t it all made from computer code? Maybe how entertain it is?

    Isn¡¯t a RPG game or MMORPG game is similar to a world itself? The only different is the world¡¯s point of view, I said.

    How about a VR game? What is the different between it and a normal VR system?

    The ¡°world¡±, sometimes defined as information from your surroundings. Then, for a full-dive VR, the different between a VR game and a VR is the world¡¯s set of rule, no?

    To create a game, for example a MOBA game popular nowadays like War of Legends (WoL) or Guardians of the Towers Ancient (GoTA), there are steps have to be done but there are two works that can¡¯t be missing: The graphic design and the module writing

    Graphic design is just as same as what it¡¯s named. You have to design and create subjects, visual effects and a bunch of things to help the player see the world in game to interact with the game¡¯s world

    Module writing is even harder. To let the world of game running, you have to create modules. The more detail the game, the more modules need to be written. The modules are like the rules of a game world, like the nature laws.

The evolutions can be counted as bugs in this system. Bugs make the system changed despite it was an unchangeable system. Our impacts on the world, the good impacts could be counted as a world¡¯s patch or upgrades, the bad influence we made could be seen as an intervene software, virus programs that had twisted this world laws and harm the system itself.

    All of the things and factors I mentioned above are brought up to help you easier to imagine and understand about the works Light have to do.

    Again, how many works Light have to finish in order recreating a world in his VR? Be it alone, maybe few life times are not enough

The most successful division in Almighty University must be High-tech division. This is where the elites in many fields like physic, chemical, science and information technology gather together. It was first found as a division for students who love robotic technology so they could gather together, study robots and go to competitions. After obtain fame obtain from winning these competitions, the school make a decision to larger the scale of divisions since this division¡¯s achievements could be used to advertise for the school. Nowadays, the high-tech division can funding itself by selling stuffs supported for people everyday life their invented; Network security service is also one of the division¡¯s income.

    Light came to the principal¡¯s office today to propose an offer for talent students. In fact, He has already paid about 100,000 coins for company register procedure, detective service and bribery. There is no ways the school can lend their talent students to some unknown stranger without even a name. By creating a company, at less, Light could say he just started up a company and want to recruit young people who have ambitions and want to challenge the world instead of joining already large corporations. Today meeting was more like a required to cover people eyes.

    Still, Light could not help but sweating in front of the school¡¯s gate. Part of it came from his lack of communicate and the other part was because he look nothing different than students who pass by him. The last time when he met the principal, there was a middle man to talk in his stead so despite he was nervous, everything gone well. Today he was alone.

    ¡°Excuse me! I have a meeting with the principal today. Where should I find him? Can you tell the principal that I had arrived?¡± Light muster all his courage and asked an old security guard who sit in the booth near the school gate because if he was hesitate anymore, the meeting time may pass

    Kanon is a Mathematic genius who famous from her young ages for her accounting programs and Mathematic theories. She was asked by Almighty University to become their honor student in exchange for a ¡°free graduate certificate¡±.

    Out of nowhere, Light standing behind Kanon, who already standing in the corner of the room.

Study together for three years, Light knew how serious Filline look at her current job so he feels no offense from her action. Some people can misjudge his action as favor for Filline or they may even thought of it as he like her but it is not, Filline is just simply not inside Light¡¯s strike zone. Life is not as same as a romance novel; there are relationships out of love between men and woman.

The working atmosphere in most Western region is lax as long as the employees can bring back good result. On the contrast, the Eastern region companies usually have a master-servant relationship between employer and employees. It could be said, the human¡¯s value in the Eastern parts is not considerate in its true value. There is also another type of working atmosphere that is also what Light was aiming for. It is the model where people working as a team but consider each other as a member of family, helping each other. This structure isn¡¯t popular in the Western parts were the independent is highly considerate but suited the Eastern parts, especially the former small countries where united and teamwork was something in people blood.

    It¡¯s not like Light don¡¯t prefer having a cute and intelligent younger sister like Kanon. Light¡¯s younger sister is nowhere near his ideal sister. He would gladly trade his sister for Kanon if possible.

    ¡°What are the computers under stairs for, big bro? There are so many that I can swim in there¡±

    If we set the cores as the brains, then the threads could be counted as thoughts. The more threads computer has, the more work could be done at the same times. It¡¯s like a person who is able to think different problems at the same time and then solve it.

    Regular CPU used for daily basic work like typing documents, listen to music, watching video or web surfing usually have about 2 to 4 cores and 6 to 10 threads and required a mere 2GBz RAM to working smoothly. The CPUs Light brought with few times the normal core, more than 6 times the threads and 6 times the combined output of the RAM are truly abnormal

    Together, Light and his group collected and set up all the 8 Personal Computer and also the Server. The server being setup in a room on second floor next to Light¡¯s working rooms. The rest and majority of the second floor has left alone as a wasted space by Light¡¯s order since he intend to build the VR protocol in here. The first floor is parking space and employee¡¯s workplace at the same time.

    ¡°Wait a minute! Why there are only 7 PCs for employees? What PC will I using? Suddenly realize something strange, Filline asked

    ¡°Feel free to use my PC up stair. It¡¯s not like you have many thing to do and there is nothing much I can do on PC that our employee can¡¯t¡± Light replied

    ¡°Since we are a new company, I will contact my acquaintances and family¡¯s connections to ask for works like advertise, web managing and other services we can do¡± after finished set up PCs, Light said to everyone

    ¡°I thought our company¡¯s aim is making a VR system and then doing business with it? Isn¡¯t it what they told me?¡± Kay asked

    Time fly like the wind and so the rain season passed away.

    The rainy season passed means the summer was over. The streets now filled by Light¡¯s favorite weather. There is no sun or its heat which able to make Light fall ill. There is no rain which wet Light¡¯s shoes every times he went out. There is no cloud and neither the wind. There is only the cool weather that feels so comfortable whenever Light touches it. It¡¯s feels like the whole world become ¡°normal¡± just like Light. The ¡°normal¡± which is defined in this case by like mean ¡°not too much¡± and ¡°not too little¡±, ¡°just enough¡±. The balance is what make this world exist. The only thing ¡°a little bit too much¡± but still ¡°acceptable¡± to Light must be the Milky flower¡¯s scent which famous enough to be mention in songs and poems about the city where Light lived.

    It was half a year since the day Light quitted his job at the super markets and more than three months from the day he started up his company. However, to Light¡¯s family, he was nothing but an unemployed. There is no way Light was able to reveal his company¡¯s existent to his family. His family would laugh at it first but more troublesome after then when they believed and asked him about it. Light have troublesome things. However, it¡¯s not like being seen as an unemployed is much better. Despite paying all of his living expense by his own money, which Light told everyone that it is his saving money from the day he worked, Light was deem a parasite by his parent, a person who do nothing and live on with his parent money. How laughable! Since the troubles which come with being question is much annoying than the one from being look down, Light rather be seen as a worthless person than a suspicious one.

    Today is not a rainy day. However, Light is spying on his target house, waiting for the right moment to take action. His regular targets became more and more caution nowadays and there was also people who hunt him down make it harder for him to take action. The prey this time was a unexpected target Light acquired from his everyday playing at a gaming store. Until now, Light still unable to understand why the son of police director¡¯s secretary could play game in a dirt cheap and run down store for more than ten years. As a ¡°customer¡±, the secretary¡¯s son sure is a respectable customer; but it is not as a ¡°person¡±. Listen to the secretary¡¯s son¡¯s conversations with his friends; Light obtained enough ¡°reasons¡± to make them his target. There is nowhere like this region where family of corrupted political could openly bragged about their misdeed in front of others, even in public. Fore seen this outcome, Light has brought a master key, a key made to open any traditional door lock. Normally, a key maker would never do something like a master key since it goes against their basic rule of the job; this rule was what any key maker apprentice need to learn first. However, there are always people who temped by the bad things and do the bad thing. The master key cost Light a large amount of money. To make sure there would be nothing happen in the moment in need, Light running around try the key on any door he could find at home.

    Open the door stealthy, Light get in the house.

    Base on the house outline, Light figure it out in no time where are the bed rooms. However, which one belonged to the Secretary was another problem. It would be bad if he jump into the son¡¯s bed room since he just left the house and maybe his wife is still awake.

    Move like a cat, his favorite creature, Light make it to the second floor. Suddenly, he hears a voice come from the door ahead

    ¡°That pig just left to play with his friend. I can¡¯t believe he left me behind for some guys in the middle of the night! Is he gay? Why didn¡¯t he marry those game friends of his then?¡±

    Normally, it¡¯s better to leave the girl alone but doing so may left the risk of she call for police or alarm the surround when Light forces the Secretary open the safe. This was a gamble whenever or not Light can take out the Secretary¡¯s daughter in law in silent.

    ¡°Hang up a bit, honey. I think I hear something. Maybe that pig forgot to close the door and some rats snick in. I will go and take a look. Call you later!¡±

    Light could hear the girl voice over the door before the sound of footstep getting closer and then the door open.

    Before his eyes was a petite girl but still well curved in the place it need. She was indeed cute and beautiful like a doll. No wonder why she feels angry when her husband, who she married just for his family¡¯s fortune, abandoned her to play with some guys. Thanks to his good grade in Chemical class, making sleeping gas wasn¡¯t too hard for Light. Just to be sure of the gas effective, Light did sniff it himself and fell on the spot when he made it.

    The sight of a pretty girl, wearing nothing but sleeping cloths lay in front of him made Light could not help but feel his lust arise, especially when keep her from falling down and make unnecessary noise, Light was fully experienced her body softness. However, this is not time for this and taking advantage of the situation seems cheap and also stupid at the same time. With all his reason, Light move to the next room which must be his destination since there was no other place to be the secretary room.

    One of the factors that help Light to snick in without being noticed must be how well made and maintained the doors of this house. He could open a door without any sound only thanks to how smoothly the door¡¯s joint was. In the case of Light¡¯s house, moving the door an inch and the whole house could hear the noise.

    Silently open the door, reveal before Light¡¯s eyes was the sight of a father stay late at night to work while his son went out to play with his friend. He could only feel sorry for the old man and about to thought of retreat and leave them alone. But the image that sound like a joke soon scratched when Light came close enough and realize what the Secretary was doing. He was counting money, god known where the money came from.

    ¡°This month is no good. I have to pre-pay for so many bribes but there was no chance for replenished my money¡­¡±

    ¡°Taking bribes has become hard lately thanks to that bastard who newly nominated to be the region¡¯s representative, maybe I should suggest the big shots to get rid of him. Others sure will approve since their business had also affected a lot¡­¡±

    The place Light lived was a corrupted region but it was not means there was no good political once in a while. Sadly, a drop of water cannot change the current. The corrupted political were not even tried to fully erase their misdeed track as long as they get rid of the banner who stand against them. Actually, they intentionally let some track behind so anyone who have even a little wits could realize the corrupted political was the once behind the screen, a warning of them if you say so. It was not unheard of when a great man who just broke a huge gamble organization and brought down many political behind it suddenly got sick and die; It was not impossible for a police director who just announced his intention of fighting against corruption die because of nuclear radials in the middle of the capital city surround by resident house despite the whole region itself is a free-nuclear region.

    Letting the Police Director Secretary sleep with the sleeping rag, Light wonder what should he do after then. If he let this be, taking the cash and get away, there is high chance the Secretary will use his influence to hunt him down, by both the underground and police force. Obviously, Light already hunted by both force but this only make it all more intense since he was not only attack the pawns but also assaulted the higher up. Surely the head of these organizations would feel insecure when someone like that stay in the dark. Fortunately, since the Secretary was currently counting money, his secret note was right there. A flash suddenly came to Light.

    In the next day, there was a huge commotion on Fakebook, one of the world largest social networks. In the morning, people saw a post on one of the largest information page on Fakebook. The post showed a lump middle-aged man tied onto the electric post with a sight hung on him said ¡°Corrupted Public Servant¡±. In front of the old man was a note with another sign beside it said ¡°evident for his sins, please hand it to the police only¡±. Additionally, there were many pictures of the note contents which said to prevent others corrupted persons related from hiding or changing the contents in front of the media. There were close to nine million views which equally to 10% population of the region and millions share of this post. The reporter soon reached the screen even before the local police force.

    This was all Light¡¯s deeds. He took the Secretary¡¯s daughter in law phone and called the reporters while using one of his clone accounts to post the new and pictures on the network. Since all the attentions pointed to the Secretary and his superior, not many people thought about figured it out who was the one upload the information first. People in the same side of the Secretary would be too busy of cut their ties and clear the trace or hiding the truth. Whichever it was, unlikely they could come to Light.

    In the company, Light was both the director and also multi-purpose personnel. Simply, he could jump in and help his staffs anything but simple things only. Most of the time, Light stayed beside others and learned from watching them. He was the one who gave the ideas and directions for the project but when it came to do it, he had much to learn. Thankfully, when it came to programing, all you have to do is remember all the code need to program, as same as formula in math, and it will be good.

    There were many ways to create a game: Using game engine, using framework/Tools or simply using IDE

    First, game engine: Few game developers reinvented the wheel and wrote their own game engine from scratch, especially for their first game. You want to dive right in, but still have plenty of opportunities for programming then using a game engine was a good option. An engine typically included higher-level tools for altering 3D models, scripting events, and other common game applications, but would still provide plenty of hands-on programming opportunities. Popular programming examples were Unities, UDKs, Unreal Engines, and Crying ENGINE.

    Second choice was frame works and other tools: A framework was a step below a game engine but still provided a set of tools and APIs (application program interfaces) to save your time and streamline your coding projects. Consider this the minimum level of software to use for the first gaming project. Depending on the exact framework and/or game engine using, the work in additional was a need, specialized APIs, such as the popular OpenGL for creating 3D graphics. Poly codes and Mono Games were example of frameworks created with both 2D and 3D games in mind

    Third, IDE: Integrated Development Environment was a general-purpose compiler and collection of source files. An IDE would make programming a game much more convenient, especially if it came with built-in ways to interact with graphics and audio systems.

    Most of the tools above were based in a popular programming language, so following the accompanying tutorials would give you a great start. While you could create a game in almost any sufficiently powerful programming language, the most common languages to program on all device is C++.

    Since the project Light was aiming at is a VR game project which support a full-dive experience, there were many spots need to customize programed. In this case, programing the system around IDE supports seem highly recommended since IDE makes complex programming projects easier to build. Light only learned about C Basic program language in his college days so he had to pay his time for this upgraded programing language if he wanted to join in and help at programing the system.

    Which in this world exist first, the creatures or the environments?

    Everyone must already have the answer for this question

    This project was the same. It was hard to program a VR system without a device to test it. However, it was not like there would be a full-dive device suddenly came out from nowhere.

    The first thing Light asked his team to do was making a background environment. It was just a blank background without sound or objects. The background was created by an auto-generate environment program. The Environment itself was divided into numerous points, each point was assigned with its 3 values; for example, point A (a; b; c), have its first value was ¡°a¡±, second value was ¡°b¡± and third value was ¡°c¡±. This would make up a 3D environment where value ¡°a¡± and ¡°b¡± indicated the coordinate of the point and value ¡°c¡± showed how high the point was compared to the (a;b;0) point. Obviously, an object would make up by many points. The more points used to create an object, the more details the object was. In Physics, based on the vectors made up each by 2 of these points represent for the forces, the angle of the vectors when it got in touch, we can somehow calculate the outcome of collision between these two forces. This part would need an independent program being writen based on an algorithm to use in the VR system when there were contacts between objects. It was not like Light would be the one who write that kind of program so he has nothing to worry about. He did not have the genius mathematics Kanon in the company (or should I said his team?) for nothing. Simply, Light would push all this work on Kanon since it was her selling point after all (not her cuteness).

    For the device itself, Light asked Schieder and Kay to make a number of ¡°not too much¡± High-Tech device: a pair of special gloves, a pair of special shoe, a pair of knee protect gear and also a pair of elbows protect gear; they made a head gear by combine a headphone with a simple VR goggle with little modifies. The user would be support in their waist with a Jacket-like device which connected to a mobile frame. When the user turned in the VR environment, his body in the real environment would also turned before the mobile frame automatically change their posture back to the default posture (You can imagine the frame working as same as the one in Assassin Creed which move base on the user¡¯s movement)

    The gloves, shoes, protect gears or headgears were mostly used as tracking devices. The tracking points in this case were: finger tips, 2 wrists, 2 elbows, 2 knees, 2 foot tips, 2 heels, the head and also the waist where the device connected and supported the user body. If one has the positions of all these points, one could calculate which posture a person in. This was what Light wants to make the movement¡¯s interact of his VR device to be. Compared to things like ¡°brainwave interfere¡± or ¡°body¡¯s electric signal reading¡±, wasn¡¯t this kind of device a shame when called high-tech? However, this was safe. Wasn¡¯t it disaster if someone messed with your brainwave? The cost for the device while build follow this solution was also lower than the choice of ¡°body¡¯s signal reading¡±.

    The only disadvantage Light could thought of when thinking about this choice right now was how ¡°unavailable¡± this device to disadvantage people. To disadvantage people who lost their limps, the only choice was develop this VR device in ¡°body¡¯s signal reading¡± way since despite the lost limbs, the above joints still received body signal. That would be another story. For now, Light has to focus on the majority of markets.

    Light helped Kay and Schieder build up the device. More accuracy, he helped them connecting separated part which Schieder and Kay took they time to make. At the same time, Long and Kanon made the modules for the programs. Kay soon enough left all the work for Schieder and Light to join the programing work. The rest of the team were creating 3D model which would be used in the VR environment.

    In 1995, Nintendoor released a gaming console known as the Virtual Girl. Worn as a headpiece and connected to a typical controller, the Virtual Girl received much criticism for its negative physical effects, including "dizziness, nausea, and headaches". People think these symptoms have been caused by prolonged use of virtual reality. However, was it all Virtual Reality fault? Is it purely the technology which caused these ¡°motion sickness¡± symptoms?

    Even until now a day, 2020, after 25 years has pass and the cause for all of it still not improved much. I¡¯m talking about the reason for all the ¡°motion sickness¡± symptoms which reduce the VR user¡¯s health

    How can we human ¡°see¡± the reality?

    We hear

    We see

    We touch

    We smell

    We taste

    These 5 senses made up our ¡°reality¡±

    It¡¯s means if there was even one of these sense ¡°feel wrong¡± then the ¡°reality¡± we ¡°see¡± would be collapsed and we would surfer the ¡°motion sickness¡± as a side effect.

    Did you ever suffer ¡°motion sickness¡± just because you are unable to hear?

    Did you ever suffer ¡°motion sickness¡± just by looking at something looked ¡°unreal¡±?

    There were people like that out there. They were just simply more sensitive about ¡°reality¡± than the rest. However, less sensitive wasn¡¯t equally to unable to feel it at all. All the cases when user got sickness for using the VR device in the past actually caused by these reasons.

    You saw yourself moving through the goggle but you couldn¡¯t feel the wind on your skin. The image you saw was too ¡°unreal¡± with low frame rate and low solution. The sound you hear wasn¡¯t match with the image or delayed.     In the reverse, as long as the image has enough frame rate, high solutions, matching surround sound and even the feeling when you touched something then there was no chance you would suffer the ¡°motion sickness¡± symptoms. That was why the team member made the model as detail as possible. Actually, Light even told his team ¡°there is no need to make many model in the same category, just make it as detail as possible and then clone it¡± and ¡°there will be time for changing models later so for now just make one model for each category and duplicate it to fill the empty spots first¡±

    These models which could be duplicated to fill the spots were things like animals, monsters, trees, clouds, stones and rocks,¡­Even a leaf was design as a separate object from the model of a tree (Which is a leaf-less tree). A course, there was only one model of a leaf at the beginning and then the team copied and attracted it to the leaf-less trees as many time as possible.

    However, tied of these copy-paste work, Bardell wrote a simple program which auto generate a small tree beside the existed trees after a set amount of time; the scale of the leaf-less model also increased after a set amount of time until the wide and the high of this leaf-less reach the setting ratio; if the leafs attracted to the leaf-less tree model stay next to another tree then the leaf models in these area will have it ¡°height value¡± (remind you of this ¡°height value¡±: the object in this VR environment created from numerous points and each point have 3 values. The first 2 values is as same as the coordinate of the point on the flat map while the 3<sup>rd</sup> value indicate the height of the point in this environment) reduce continuously until the leaf models coordinate is right above another object (The height value of the leaf model is higher than the object it ¡°touch¡±; ¡°touch¡± = there were points of the 2 object having the 3 values made up its 3D coordinate are the same). With this the team successfully simulated the way a tree grow up, the way tree lose its unnecessary leafs or how the leafs fall. Well, there were many kind of tree so each have its own limit ratio of wide and height, different in leaf. This program was unable to simulate the change of leaf or the dead of the tree when it loses all the leaf. There were many rooms for the patch later. For the time being, for the purpose of filling the gap in this fiction world environment, all this should be enough.

    ¡°I never thought you could spend your free time to write this program¡± was Filline¡¯s comment when Bardell added this ¡°tree-generate¡± program into the overall VR system.

    ¡°Copy-paste sound simply but doing it thousands or ten thousands of time is a pain. I rather do a huge but limited amount of work for a short time and free the rest of my live than blindly follow director Light¡¯s words and busy for the rest of my life¡± Bardell replied. It was as same as swallow whole the dish you dislike first and slowly enjoy your favorites isn¡¯t it?

    Let talk about the ¡°living creatures¡± and ¡°monster¡± later since all of them need a ¡°place¡± to put inside. Light couldn¡¯t just simply put all the creatures, the trees, the rocks on an even terrain and called it a ¡°place¡±, a ¡°world¡±. Light decided to dragged Filline with him outside for collect real datas of building.

    Walking together around the Walking streets, bathed in the gorgeous sunlight of Hanoi Fall, despite the low temperature sunlight, Light could not help but feel hot. A part of it came from the crowd around him but the real reason of this heat maybe came from his fluster when walking with a girl. Even though there was nothing more than friendship between them, Light could not help since this was the first time in his life he walking side by side someone from different gender outside of the elementary school.

    ¡°I wonder what will happen if you could take the job at Isoft back then. Maybe there would be no Worlds Creator, I would still selling cloths in a ¡°not well-known¡± shop and we would never has a chance to meet each other. Our life would never cross if you could get that job.¡±

    ¡°Let the things had passed pass away. Now, I¡¯m glad back then I did not get the job¡±

    Back in the August, worry for his life, Light family introduced him a job at Isolf. Light took the offer and went to an interview. He intended to take the job and running the VR project at the same time since most of the work can be handled by his team in Worlds Creator and his main works in there were actually funding them and brought what they need for the VR project.

    ¡°But, back then if you ask your former manager or co-worker to talk with the Isoft¡¯s side then maybe you could¡­¡±

    ¡°Did I not tell you I can¡¯t? After my retired in the shopping mall, their sale fall continuously and then other employees also retied. I always thought of it as my responsibility. I can¡¯t return to that place and ask the manager for help. I don¡¯t even think he could say anything favorable to me after all the mess I left behind¡± Light said

    After graduated, Light want to improve his communicate skill since he has serious trouble when talking with people he don¡¯t know. He chooses a service job to help himself. In the beginning, everything went smoothly. Despite noticed his co-worker take 2 hours to break while the company only gave them 1 hour break time, Light thought as long as there was nothing affect his work, he could let them slip and even handled the work his co-worker slacked off. One factor for Light to not uncover his co-workers back then was also the trust of his manager. Which one would heavier, the trust in a newcomer or the trust of people who worked under the manager for years?

    But everything would change, that was how life always worked. Unexpected events happen every moment in everywhere. Light had to go to the hospital for weeks because of an unidentified reason. When he got out of the hospital and backed to work, his working effective reduced. He could not handle of the work of 4 persons like he always did before then. He tried to ask his co-workers to shorten their un-allowed long break and get back to work sooner but it all went to deaf ears. He tried to tell his manager but the manager¡¯s personality was too mild and he could not control Light¡¯s co-workers. Somehow, the other co-worker even fire back at Light for his ¡°unproductive working¡± despite all of this came from these co-workers 2 hours breaks. Things just got worse and worse until Light decided to quit the job. On a side note: In the period of time when Light work in there, the company got their highest sale record in many years.

    Anything raise have to fall!

    ¡°It was not your fault!¡±

    ¡°Yeah! The same like that time I worked in ¡°that hotel¡± and fired after the 2<sup>nd</sup> day, was it all my fault?¡±

    ¡°That¡± was even before his job in the super market. After Light first day working in the hotel, a customer suddenly died in his room without any clear reason. The police came and occupied the hotel for all of Light second working day and completely halt the hotel activity. There was no customer who wanted to step in a hotel where every stairs and halls has polices. This was the first incident ever happen in this chain of hotels since the hotel owners stared their businesses and somehow everything put on Light¡¯s responsibility since it only happened in day he appear in the hotel but not any other day for many years before then.

    Light and Filline, both of them, could not help but made a smile. Maybe for how Light fate did not allowed him to live as an employee or just simply to forget the unlucky but also unlikely happened events.

    Light¡¯s bad luck sound like a joke sometimes.

    ¡°Did you not come back to finish you study in school, Filline?¡±

    ¡°Nah! I worked in Circle K for 2 months before I quitted the job and took my previous job. After then, you asked me to work for you. There was not a blank time period for me to finish me study. It was like I was too tired to finish my study¡±

    Light was not familiar with the name of Circle K but it was a chain of convenience stores which were having brands all over the world.

    ¡°Having a certificate made the finding of a good job easier, don¡¯t you think so?¡±

    ¡°It¡¯s tiresome to work and study at the same time since both the school and the store not allow me to choose my time shift¡±

    Light had the same thought about working and studying at the same time. It was not like everyone could do something like that. There were people who can work and study at the same time and still obtain a good result in both but many would fail in one of aspects, or both of it.

    ¡°I get it! But how many hours do you work per day in your previous job actually? I¡¯m just curious, okay!¡±

    ¡°I worked for 12 hours in the beginning but then I had to reduce it to 10 hours. It was too exhausted.¡±

    ¡°Wow! No wonder you had no time to finish your study¡±

    ¡°Why did you not save up money and quit the job to finish your study back then, Filline? I think it¡¯s still better than working 10 or 12 hours per day¡± Light continued

    ¡°It sounds quite bad you known. I worked and worked all days but still not having enough money to support my life. I brought a new motorbike back then and had to work to pay for the loan I took¡±

    ¡°Is it that much? I worked for only 3 months but still earned enough to save it. I still using my rusty bike right now, you know?¡± Light said

    ¡°I¡¯m not as same as you. I spend almost all of my money for regular expense but luckily earn enough in the period of Lunar New Year to pay off the loan. That was also my reason for working 12 hours per day.¡±

    ¡°Truth to be told, I never thought you are someone who spent money like that. I think you better find a guy who could keep the money safe from you. Someone who can ¡°keep the money like a tomb guard¡±¡± Light told Filline. This was the first time they talk about each other personal issue openly like this and Light never thought Filline is a girl who can spend her money without a clear plan even in his wildest imagination.

    ¡°At least, she is serious in her job¡± Light thought ¡°It will be a disaster if Filline manages the company¡¯s financial the same way she is managing her money¡± Light thought

    ¡°There is not a chance. I rather live alone forever and spend all the money I earned for myself than giving it to someone else to safe keeping. What happen if he just keep the money and refuse to use even a coin?¡± She replied, acting a little bit cute

    Light wondered if everyone out there was the same as this girl who was walking alongside him; would all the banks gone bankrupt then?

    ¡°Anyway, what do you have there? It¡¯s look like a mirror ball to me. Aren¡¯t we going out to take pictures?¡± scanned her eyes around, maybe to lessen her embarrassment, the strange objects which Light brought along catch in Filline line of sight

    Truth to be told, the object Light brought with him really looks like a mirror ball which you often found in bars. However, instead of the hook to hang the ball there are thin metal legs to keep it standing on the ground.

    ¡°These things are our camera!¡± Light said.

    As a replacement,  let me tell a short story about my work life these days

    ....

    I''m currently an Customer Supporter. My role is helping my company product team connect with the customers. These days, I''m tagged with the onyx team and salmon team.

    "Onyx" in my language have a character of "tiger" so onyx team''s girls love to use a smiling tiger emotion in their work chat(however,  the males use vampire icon, I don''t understand their logic) and some of them even dry their hair in onyx color with a little pink. That is so cute don''t you think? My company following Northern Europe culture so it''s very open and friendly. Obviously, that make me having a good impression for onyx team

    Salmon team, on the other hand, feel a little more unfriendly despite staying in the same floor as my team. They are made up by young generation with young egos so it''s hard to communicate with other teams with higher average age than them. As a fact, I don''t really notice about them.

    However,  things changed in one days, with just a small event.

    It just a normal day like other day when both team realize they has made mistake. Maybe not both team

    Things started with onyx complained with us "we did everything customer request but he keep complaining". So we checked the issue. Thing like this:

    -Customer: can you make the table smaller? And the flower pot too?Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

    -Onyx: Gave a smaller version

    -Customer: The size is perfect but you make it look fake, please make it more real

    -Onyx: Gave customer a more real version but somehow the flower pot and table even bigger than the first version when customer first complain

    -Me back then: what the hell did the Quality Check team do? Should I reject this and have them redo it?

    -My seniors: Stop it. Just send it to customer. Your position don''t have the right to reject it

    -Customer (after receiving their products): Crying on the mail, We just received your mail, why is it so big? It''s too big you know? </img> please fix it urgently

    -Onyx: Guys! Say something! Customer say it''s too big so we already made it bigger. Why the hell must they keep complaining?

    -...

    Then let come to Salmon team for now

    -Salmon: Hey guys! Please send customer this product, there was mistake in the previous one

    -Us: ok! But why don''t you wait for customer correct request?

    -Salmon: we can''t do something like that. This is our mistake so we have to fix it as soon as possible

    .....

    In my company, when our products have errors, we will fix it for free and no extra charge to customers, obviously. However, the editor who do the work will be paid for this additional work. To be counted and paid, they reported this to us and we will create a special order on our system to paid for them. The more time we have to make request,  the more loss the company have to take. However,  the editor who make mistake in the first did not get penalties. This is a serious loop hole that will weaken our company. I wonder why our company still not fix it?

    In this case, Onyx team make the Customer request another correct order for them, which is some money for their team member despite the one at fault.  With it, they lost my good impression for them.

    On the other hand, Salmon team who send their products correction without the need of customer'' s correct request, a sum of money for fixing their own mistake, earn my good impression for their responsibilities for their work and for the company too.

    After all this, I realized I''m more obsessed with the right than i thought
